Have We Remembered, or Have We Forgotten?

And now, here's today's Truth Talk Live host. Welcome to Truth Talk Live. This is Peter Rosenberger. Glad to be with you today. If you want to be a part of the program 866.

three four eight seventy eight eighty four 866. Thirty four truth. Where were you? Twenty-five years ago, this Friday, September 11th, 2001. Where were you?

when you first heard that an airplane had struck the World Trade Centre. Do you remember that moment? Maybe s somebody called you. Maybe you heard it on the radio. Maybe you were standing in front of a television.

when the second plane hit and thought, hey, this isn't an accident here Where were you? I know where I was. I was in a high rise in downtown Nashville. And somebody said we're under attack. They're bombing buildings.

That was a little disconcerting. For those of old that are old of those of us who are old enough to remember. that day the the question really requires no further explanation. I I remember Hearing People say they they remember where they were when they heard that Kennedy was shot. And that happened several months after I was born.

So, of course, I wasn't there, and I remember certain. indelible moments like uh the when You know, Neil Armstrong walked on the moon. I was just a kid, but I still remember that. But 9-11 is one of those moments that are just You know. And and many of us can still picture all the details of it.

glued to the television. the the aide walk over to Bush and whisper in his ear what had happened. At that school? while he was reading to kids. And uh We saw the the towers when they came down.

Yeah, I saw people falling out of them. And um it was just you know, it was one of those things that you just I mean, how do you process something like that even still 25 years later? but I also want to go a step further with you to day. We've spent 25 years asking one another where we were on September 11th, but today I want to ask you also where were you on September 12th? Do you remember the day after?

Do you remember that evening? What did America understand on the 12th of September that we've since forgotten? Have we forgotten? Remember, that was the big thing for all these years. Never forget, never forget, have we?

Have we forgotten that? By the way, one of the most Yeah. memorable things for me that day. was later on that evening when about a hundred and fifty members of Congress gathered on the steps of the capital. Republicans and Democrats, they all stood together and sang God bless America.

Nobody handed them the lyric sheets or they didn't have com competing political versions of the song and and and and nobody was pointing fingers at anybody. They were just they just stood there and s and sang. And It was one of those rare moments in our country the people We're for the most part united. I mean, you'll never have 100%. unity anywhere.

There's the old saying, wherever two or three are gathered, there's conflict. But for that moment, as a nation, we were. There's been a couple times When I've heard the national anthem that it caused me to choke up a little bit. And one of them was right after 9-11. When They played it, the British, they had a band there in front of the U.S.

Embassy. And they played it there. And it was, it's still one of the most emotional things I remember ever seeing. Another one was um When uh My son was at the field at West Point and and they played it while he stood out there on the parade ground at West Point. And then, um A third one, was when my wife sang for the ground bake breaking ceremony for the Amputee Training Center at Walter Reed.

And that was uh All those things still had a connection to 9-11. People enlisted because of 9-11. People came back wounded, more amputees. Um came back. From the battlefield, because after 9-11 of the actions that were taken.

So, but you see these moments there as we reflect on what's happening. And then I remember. Uh Gracie and I were uh Gracie performed in Madison Square Garden at the um Republican National Convention in 2004. And the older man, remember the fireman? that um, was there on the rubble and Bush came up and put his arm around him.

And that guy was there, and I was able to talk with him down in the green room while we were waiting to go up there and perform. And it was surreal to talk with him, you know, who had stepped into history. He wasn't even supposed to be there that day. He he was retired and He just got his gear and went down there, and he wasn't even supposed to be there. Steve Bussimi, the actor, grab he was a New York City fireman, and he grabbed his gear and went down there and helped.

But by the end of that day near twenty nine hundred and seventy seven people had been murdered. And The next day, thousands and thousands of families woke up to an empty chair.

So What did we understand then? Maybe that changed. Did we understand that we're not nearly as secure as we thought we were? that life is precious because life is brie brief. Did we understand that our nation the the things that matter to us in our nation, in our national discourse?

And did we retain any of it? You know, and I'm certainly not gonna Romanticized those days, fear does not automatically make people virtuous. And You know, a tragedy can fill churches without producing repentance. I mean, you've seen that. It can get our attention, but it doesn't necessarily change our hearts.

But for at least a moment. The country stopped. And In that moment what did you see? What did you learn? What happened in your family, in your church, or your own heart?

Moses prayed in Psalm 90. I think it was the prayer of Moses they put in Psalm 90: So, teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Knowing that our days are numbered is not the same, though, as gaining wisdom. We all know our days are numbered, but do we have wisdom about it from that knowledge? You know, we can all see a cemetery, it can tell us that life is short.

The question is, are we going to live differently because we know it?

So Where were you? on September eleventh. Where were you on September twelfth? What do you think about the direction that our country has taken. Have we remembered or have we forgotten?

You know, they um I look at the discourse in our country and I look at the Rampant sin. The flagrant disregard for the things of God, and I can't help but wonder. when those congressmen and women were on the steps there at the Capitol. saying God bless America. They were invoking the blessing of God.

It was a sentiment. I understand it. But What God were they praying to? Were they praying to the God of the Bible? If so, you would think that they would start off with repentance.

Did we Mm. have a national repentance of any kind. How can we beseech God to protect this country, to bless this country. if we have flagrantly violated his laws. You know, one of the things you see in the Old Testament.

When the kingdom of Israel split into two different kingdoms, Judah and Israel, the southern and the northern kingdom. You know, they just basically just thumbed their nose at God until in the little southern kingdom, which was the tribe of Judah and Benjamin, They found the law And at times, and you had a righteous king like Josiah, and called the people to repentance. But It does it. It doesn't seem to be happening here. I've even seen a lot of people being called to repentance.

What about you? Yeah. Do you see that? Are you hearing that at your church? Are you hearing that in your heart?

The call to repentance. Chronicle says, if my people who are called by my name, not the world. But my people. Hmm. That's Truth Talk Live.

Glad to be with you, 866. seventy eight eighty four. You can't help but think about these things this week. twenty five years. since 9-11.

And then tomorrow will be the one-year anniversary of Charlie Kirk's assassination. And you know, where are we as a country? You know, well, where's our headspace as a nation? If we had a national identity, what would you think it would be? I mean, um.

And I go back to the Congress standing on the steps there, and they're singing God Bless America. It was really endearing to see that. Were they doing it out of devotion? Were they doing it out of a sincere desire to follow the Lord? Or were they just afraid?

And this is something they look to to make them feel a little bit better? Um you know Congress routinely invokes God bless America. The Question I have to ask you this. Wait wait. Which God?

President Obama, a little over a decade later, Yeah he closed a 2013 Planned Parenthood Conference. With Thank You Plan Parenthood, God bless you. God bless America. And that's a matter of public record, by the way. that whether that you know Uh How do you reconcile that?

Can you? Do you? Do we just Does it just become background noise? Does God just well, you know, I understand where these people are, that kind of thing. You know, I look at um I mentioned that the the uh kingdom of Israel and Judah when they split.

And by the way, do you know the story behind that? When the the kingdom of Israel split, You know, Solomon attacks these people. Pretty hard. And when he died, his son Reoboam came, and the older counselors came and said, Hey, you know, you need to ease up on these people. They're already taxed.

you know, it's it's become quite onerous to them. And then his young friends came in and said, No, we need to tax him more. You know, even though he's old, he sounds like Bernie Sanders. We taxed the BNS, the BNS. I noticed that Bernie Sanders doesn't tax the millionaires anymore because he is one, but that's a separate conversation.

But we um so the young guys came and said, Now we need to tax 'em And I was listening to of this guy that's running for Senate in Michigan. And he was talking about taxing people that make over $100 million, 70% tax bracket, that kind of thing. And I have two questions with that. First off, Why 100 million? Why not 99,500, you know, that kind of thing.

Because they like to do round numbers to say, well, you know, $100 million. And then when he was challenged, he said, Well, what do those people need with that kind of money after that? They don't need that kind of money. What are they going to do with that kind of money? And and I thought, wow.

And I remember on 9-11, everybody saying, Never forget, never forget, and here we are. Here we are. And twenty-five years later, And we've got Uh Muslim mayor in New York. Who is you know Vigorously anti-Semite. And then you've got these guys in Michigan, and some of these others in, they're just wanting to just tear it all apart, just like those advisors of Reoboam said, you know, tax them more, beat them with scorpions, you know, kind of thing.

They were pretty hard on him. And then when Rehoboam listened, of course, to the wrong people, the kingdom split. And then the northern kingdom of Israel They never had a decent king. They just went into wickedness from almost day one. But you had a few down in Judah.

It was kind of, they were speed bumps toward the eventual decline, but you had Asa. Um he removed um A lot of the altars, and they had cult prostitutes. This is all going on. in Judah. And he removed that stuff and the asherah poles and all that stuff and then Uh and then he led Judah to seek the Lord and renew the covenant.

And you had um Jehoshaphat, he sent officials. and Levites and priests throughout the towns to teach the book of the law. Um Joash, he made a covenant with the people against Baal worship. You had to make a covenant with the people against Baal worship. And he destroyed the temple of Baal and repaired the Lord's house.

Hezekiah, you've probably heard of him a lot. He opened and cleansed the temple in his first month. and restored the sacrifices and and then Tore down the high places and all these kinds of things that had creeped into this culture. I don't know if it crept in there, I think it just rushed in there. Josiah, after I mentioned him in the last block, after the book of the law was found, he tore his clothes.

and he had the law read publicly. When's the last time we did that? Do we do we ever rend our our hearts. and proclaim Thank you. God's Word publicly.

Last one we're doing on this program. And you see all of these reforms that they were trying to do, but it. They were incomplete and they were temporary, and the people often just kind of relapsed. You know, they never went back into that kind of idol worship, though, after they came back from the the captivity. And You know, in 2 Kings, the Lord said, you know, through the prophets, turn from your evil ways and keep my commandments.

Isaiah one, sixteen through eighteen, wash yourselves, make yourself clean, remove the evil of your deeds, learn to do good, seek justice. Come now, let us reason together, though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Do you think that we're there as a country? that our skin that our sins are like scarlet. And they are.

I mean look at the the the amount of blood that is on our hands. in in this country. and and with it with abortion. We have flagrantly violated the law of God. Look at the sexual promiscuity.

And Jeremiah 18:11, Turn now, every one of you, from his evil way, and amend your ways and your deeds. Jeremiah three, twelve through fourteen. And four, return, faithless Israel. Return, O faithless sons. Circumcise yourself to the Lord and remove the foreskin of your hearts.

Reflects what Paul said later: the we had the circumcision of the heart. or else my wrath will go forth like fire. Hosea 6. Come, let us return to the Lord. Return, O Israel, to the Lord your God, for you have stumbled because of your iniquity.

You know, and you could go on and on. Zechariah 1:3 through 4: Return to me, and I will return to you. Do not be like your fathers. To whom the former prophets cried, Turn from your evil ways. And then, of course, the one I mentioned last.

in the last block, Second Chron Chronicles 7, 14. if my people who were called by my name humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways. then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. There is nothing that we can do. I don't care how much Trump promises a golden age of America.

There's nothing that's going to heal this land. that mankind can do. We are a hot mess. And he Here it is, scripture laying out what the path is. Repent.

Turn. Turn from this Is anybody calling for that? We we beseech God to bless American all the time. But I got to ask you. Why should he?

Is he under any kind of obligation to do so? Does does God Is mercy Um do us? You know. Wh when did mercy become obligatory? And this is where we are as a country.

And I can't help but think of one of the worst days in our nation's history. Certainly I mean, just it was just a just a horrific day. One single day. And what it did, and it was so shocking. And yet what have we learned from it?

How have we grown as a nation? How have we matured as a people. Have we? What are your thoughts? 866.

I am I have a radio program for family caregivers that's also on this network. And we've been doing this now for well, fourteen years, this month. And I uh I I took this to heart.

many years ago because I realized that that the the overwhelming need That people are struggling under when they are taking care of a chronically impaired loved one.

Now, it may be somebody that's aging, like your parents. It may be somebody, or your spouse for that matter, and it may be somebody who's dealing with Alzheimer's or some type of dementia or Parkinson's and so forth. And um It may be you're dealing with somebody with trauma. like I do. My wife was hurt over forty years ago and And it's been a A a slog.

ever since. I mean she's not up known a day without severe pain and almost a hundred operations in both legs amputated. every day. As soon as I I'm off the air here. I'm still functioning as a caregiver.

It doesn't it doesn't plateau for us. Could be your special needs child. Maybe you got a child with autism. Maybe you've got someone in your family's got mental illness. Maybe somebody in your family is an addict.

or an alcoholic. lots of different kinds of impairments. But there's always a caregiver. If you're that person, I I've I've built something for you. I've taken a wealth of things that I've learned over the years.

And Scripture says to comfort one another with the same comfort that we ourselves have received from the God of all comfort.

Well I have to ask myself, then, what comforts me? What comforts me after forty years of this? And I go back to the Heidelberg Catechism. Question number one. What is your only comfort in life and death?

And the answer begins with that I belong Solely. To my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You know, that's not an exact quote. Don't for all you purists don't hold me to that. I can pull it out if you need to, but that I belong, body and soul, to my Lord Jesus Christ.

And what does that look like? When you're serving as a caregiver day in and day out. And so I put all this at my substack, caregiver.substack.com. Substack's kind of like an online newsletter, but you can do video, audio. And print there.

And I have an entire library. Just about everything I put out there is free.

Now, I have special video interviews that I may put behind a paywall and just to help with the cost of that kind of thing. And then after two weeks, everything goes behind a paywall just so the archive is protected with that. But everything I put out new, and I put out one today that I thought you might like.

Somebody, speaking of Parkinson's, my father passed away of Parkinson's.

Well, complications from it. And uh There's another family here. that I'm very very close with and I had played for the father, his funeral. When I first moved out here from Nashville and then The mother was very sick with Parkinson's for some time. These are local ranchers here.

And I'm very, very fond of the family and I The family asked me to play For the funeral for the mother. And I knew that it was coming and And I got a text from the sun, and this is the article that I put out there. And I actually did something special on this one that I didn't do anywhere else. And I just put the audio of what I played, a little snippet of what I played. But I got a text that said You know, the mom's funeral is such and such date, and are you still available to play?

And I said, Absolutely. Then it wrote back and said. Do you know Zippity Doodah? And that's it. I looked at that text and I thought Almost put Bob Newhart.

Why do you ask? But I just simply typed back, yes, I do. And so that was. His mother's one of her favorite songs, and she would sing it all the time. And they wanted to show the slideshow of her life, you know how people do that.

and me to play that while that's going on. I played zippity doodah at a funeral. But I want you to hear it. I want you to see the story behind it because I think you'll find it very meaningful. particularly those of you who are caregivers.

And I think you'll enjoy it.

It's a hard thing. It is a hard thing to care for somebody, someone who has chronic impairments, and you do it day in and day out. You know, we'd all stand on our heads for a couple of weeks, maybe even a couple of months.

But when this thing starts stretching into years, and in my case, decades. You know, you've got to have something else that you're holding on to. And what do you hold on to? And that brings me back around to. What we're talking about today, you know, when the world just, you know, Alan Jackson.

Our kids went to school with Alan Jackson's kids there in Nashville. And I remember when he came out with that song, Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning? You know, the whole world just was stunned. And we had congressmen and women that ran out to the stadium, I mean, to the steps of the Capitol, and they were singing, God Bless America. Were they doing it out of a sense of repentance?

Were they doing it out of a sense of anything other than fear, maybe sentiment? I don't know. You have to ask them. Did it stick?

Well, you tell me. 866-34-TRUTH, 866-348-3. seventy eight eighty four but when things happen that are so painful, that are so hard, that are so shocking to us. We we we don't know what to do at times. And then we will.

pay some type of lip service to God. That's it's kind of almost like a reflex with us. But does it stick? See, I maintain that it's hard to cry out to a Saviour that you don't think you need. I mean, why would we You know, I mean do you remember when um Well, he just died, I think, last year, Ted Turner.

Um he bought a bunch of land out here in Montana and Um But he, uh, um. He said years and years ago that Christianity is for losers. And he was saying it very you know, derisively. But he's not wrong. Because we're all losers.

We're all losers. But in Christ. Yeah. We have been rescued. We have been redeemed.

And we've been claimed by God. And and you know But but to think that we can somehow be a winner apart from Christ. It is ridiculous. Uh um I remember when Jesse Ventura, the former wrestler and actor, became governor of M of Minnesota. And he said, you know, that religion's just a crutch for people.

Well Yeah, it probably is. But Christianity is so so much more. I'm going to give you a quote. See what you think of this quote. You cannot have liberty If you do not have a Christian population.

If we lose Christianity, It's not so much that America will fall It's that America will become evil. Do you believe that? You want me to read that again? You cannot have liberty if you do not have a Christian population. If we lose Christianity, America loses Christianity.

It's not so much that America will fall. It's that America will become Evil. Think about that.

Now Israel as a nation Even under Solomon, it was still in existence, but they started worshiping idols because Solomon brought in all these wives that started doing this. They didn't fall right away. But they became evil. They did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. And then when the kingdom split, under Solomon's son Rehoboam.

Then the evil just started Um Multiplying, I mean, exponentially. I mean, they're setting up flagrant. Idol worshiping going on. I mean, and not just idol worshipers, like, you know, sitting around looking at a statue kind of thing. I mean, they're doing gross behavior.

They were sacrificing their children. They were doing this. and the nation was still in existence.

So I go back to this quote: You cannot have liberty if you do not have a Christian population. If we lose Christianity, it's not so much that America will fall, it's that America will become evil. Do you see Where America Is Encroaching, I mean, where evil and America are so intertwined. Do you see that now? Do you do you feel that that's the case?

I look at what's happening in Massachusetts alone. You had the first the judge who signed the law into place that abortions can go all the way up to the time of birth. If a doctor, you know, they were standing there applauding this. And I mean Do you think God Is okay with that? Do you think the God of the Bible is okay with it?

You get major Um A-list actors out there saying that abortion is merciful.

Okay, I expect it from actors and actresses. But now you got people in pulpits saying this. And you got women masquerading as pastors. saying this from the pulpit. And they're saying these kinds of things.

You think God of the Bible's okay with that? You cannot have liberty if you do not have a Christian population. If we lose Christianity, it's not so much that America will fall, it's that America will become Evil. You know who said that? Charlie Kirk.

He was assassinated a year ago to morrow. Here's another quote that he had. Thought you might find it interesting whether or not the United States of America will continue to exist in any recognizable form. is completely and solely dependent on whether or not those who call themselves Christians will be willing to say, Lord, here I am, use me for your purpose. Hmm.

I'm going to read that again. Whether or not the United States of America will continue to exist in any recognizable form. is completely and solely dependent on whether or not those who call themselves Christians, will be willing to say, Lord, here I am use me for your purpose. Do you say that? Here I am, Lord.

Use me for your purpose. Are we doing that collectively? This network, the truth network. routinely calls for that. and gives that clarion call.

to turn. from these things. And Commit your ways to the Lord. Lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge him and he'll direct your paths. And I invite you to do that now.

Right now. Right now. That's what Charlie Kirk said. Look at the impact he left on this planet. at such a young age.

but he was committed to it. He was committed to the Savior. who committed everything for him.

This is Peter Rosenberger, 866-34-TRUTH, 866-348-7884. I know this is a tough thing, but we're going to hear this this week of the memorial service of this. We're going to be reflecting on these things, and I think it's worthy of our time to spend some. A few moments to ask better questions of ourselves. This started for me when I watched Lindsey Clancy's attorney come out to the microphone.

And in subsequent conversations I've had, and I've been watching the jurors. They've been interviewing some of the jurors. and you just look at this with incredulity. The guy's basically saying, you know, I've come to think of her as a daughter, and my son thinks of her as a sister. And this is her attorney.

And he said, you know, she's lived an exemplary life. She's been a good, good person, blah, blah, blah. She's basically a good person. Other than the fact she killed her three kids. And I and okay.

deal with the legal ramifications of that, but let me let me back up just to hear. Basically a good person. Are we basically good people? Is is that what we are? I was not aware of that.

I was aware that Scripture says There's none righteous no, not one. And I was aware that that we Uh our The heart is exceedingly wicked. That's what Jeremiah says. That that it's it's it's one you know Who Jesus wouldn't even trust himself to his own disciples. No, we're not basically good people.

Now, we may behave in a manner. that is civilly good. We may do so because of whatever constraints or whatever. of society or fear of being caught or whatever, but make no mistake about it, we're not. And so, as we deal with these things, I can't.

Help but look at the scope of where we've come as a nation. You know, tomorrow is one year since Charlie Kirk was shot. at Utah Valley University. My brother went to that school. I mean, he lived right fifty he lives fifteen to twenty minutes from there.

And um It was a And then Friday, of course, is the 25th anniversary of 9-11. And 25 years ago, Congress stood on the Capitol steps, 150 of them. and saying God bless America. How many of those in Congress right now would stand together and sing anything? I I remember watching A video at the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame.

uh when ACDC was inducted into that. And the entire audience. was on their feet. while A C D C belted out They're on a highway to hell. And the whole audience is singing that.

with them in great with with great enthusiasm. Far more enthusiasm than the members of Congress did when they asked God to bless America the night of 9-11.

Now Which anthem do you think? is more reflective. Pretty sobering question, but I'm asking you. How many in our Congress today would sing God bless America versus how many would lustily sing that they're on a highway to hell with ACDC? You ever thought about that?

So it's saying, God bless America. And then, you know. Last year a thirty one year old father was killed while he was answering questions in public. And both of these days this week force The same question. Which God?

Which god? The god of slogans? or the God that calls a nation to repent. You know, and You can't help but when you think about 9-11, it shows us that evil is not a metaphor. There is and by the way, the term evil is a theological term.

If we as so many in this country want to believe. just came because of some kind of spontaneous evolution. We're an accident of things that collided and made something. Then You know, but where do you get the notion of good and evil from?

Well, those are theological terms. Proved me wrong. I mean, how is evil? not a theological term. You can say aberrant behavior, and that's what that whole Lindsey Clancy thing is about.

Is she sick? Is she evil? Is this wrong? Is she criminally liable? They're having that discussion.

Well, the whole nation's had that discussion. But tell me how evil isn't a theological term. And then you got Charlie Kirk's assassination shows that speaking the truth in a in a collapsing culture. It could cost you your life. And you know what?

Neither one of those events is answered by thoughts and prayers. I started calling that out years and years and years ago. Those thoughts and prayers. They never became obedience. And you go back to Scripture, you look at Judah's reforming kings.

Israel had no reforming kings. When the nation split, You had that northern kingdom. You had 10 tribes up there. Then you had Judah and Benjamin in the south. And They had no I think it was Judah and Benjamin.

Was it Judah and Benjamin? Was Judah and Ephraim? No, I think it was Judah and Benjamin.

Sorry about that. It's been a long time since I took Old Testament history. And They Judah had Reforming kings, Israel never did. The northern kingdom never did. But the reforming kings didn't just mourn.

They did that. but they tore down the idols. And they read the law. They spoke to the people. And they said, here's what God's word says.

They didn't just Eulogize the dead. They said return. And that's really the only honest way to honor both of these dates this week. Charlie Kirks? and nine eleven.

Four days before Charlie Kirk was killed, he posted. Jesus defeated death so you can live. Four days before he you never know what We never know, but boy, he lived a life of consequence at 31. And he was asked how to be remembered if everything else disappeared. How would he like to be remembered?

He said, I want to be remembered for courage, for my faith. That would be the most important thing. The most important thing is my faith. How do you want to be remembered? How do I want to be remembered?

Abraham was remembered In Genesis 15, when it says, And Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness. He took him at his word. I'd I'd like to be remembered that way. that I took him at his word. Remember the hymn?

SEO. Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, just to take him at his Word. I'd like to be remembered that way. One more quote from Charlie Kirk. No civilization has ever collapsed.

Because it prayed too much. But a civilization that abandons God will deteriorate and ultimately collapse. from the inside out. A remarkable insight at thirty-one. And you did.

Just a remarkable young man. God bless America after 9-11 was a was a cry. When Obama said it, It was a contradiction. In 2013, at the Planned Parenthood Conference, and he was the sitting president. Whatever he said, For himself, that's his business between he and God.

But when he says it as the sitting president, it carries the weight of a nation. If we mean the God of Josiah. Isaiah and Jeremiah. Then the next move for us as a as a country is not another slogan. It's Second Chronicles 7:14.

Humble yourselves. Pre. Seek his face, turn from wicked ways. Charlie's Last public posture. was the same as Isaiah's, saying, Here I am, send me.

This is how we honor 9-11. This is how we honor a man who died speaking. Not by saying, God bless America. But becoming the kind of people A holy God. Can bless.

Are we that people? Do we know what that looks like? It starts with calling to repentance. And I'm looking for those political leaders. Maybe it's a mayor.

Maybe it's a governor. Maybe it's a congressman. Maybe it's the President. I wish somebody would get to the President. and do that, and say we need to call the people to repentance.

By the way, I saw the trailer for Mel Gibson's new movie, The Resurrection of the Christ. not the trailer, but I saw the um the interview with him and he was talking about it, and I can't wait to see that. And maybe, maybe God will use this like He did with the Passion of the Christ. I remember seeing that movie and I watch it virtually every Easter. And maybe that will be it.

May it be so that we will call the be called to repentance. And to turn f and cry out to God to heal this land. as we turn from our wicked ways. And we have to intercede for a nation that doesn't doesn't care about those sort of things now. But that's our responsibility as as believers.

And I go back and I and I'll end it again with what Charlie Kirk said. That If you Ero. If we lose Christianity. It's not that America will fall. is that America will become even.
