866-348-7884. What is your personal testimony of coming to Jesus Christ and how did it happen? We want to hear from you. 866-34TRUTH-866-348-7884. This is Michael Zwick, and I've got the Christian car guy in the studio today with me, Robbie Dilmore.
And Robbie, we just finished up a couple of shows. How fun. I love doing radio with you, Mike. I remember the first times we did it. Yeah, sure.
And what a topic, you know? That, like, there's nothing hardly. I can hardly wait for the calls, right? I can hardly wait for the calls as well. And I was asking you, Robbie, I said, Well, what is your testimony?
And you said, Which one? But I mean, you said when you met your wife, she kind of gave you an ultimatum. Is that right? She did. I was, you know, as the Christian car guy, I was a car salesman.
You know, and so my only day off was Sunday. And one of the first things she said was, you know, if you're going to marry me, you're going to have to go to church. And I was like Like, I don't know about that plan. I mean, that's my one day off, you know. But obviously, she was.
beautiful and I was madly in love and you know, I thought, well, I guess we're gonna have to But the fascinating part of the story is that I went expecting to get bored out of my mind.
Okay. I was definitely not what I had. I did not go with great faith. But it just what God had for me That day was we went to the first Presbyterian church in Greensboro, which at the time it was Dr. Redhead was the pastor emeritus, and I think it was the only time he preached there in years.
Okay. But that day he was there. and he preached a sermon on prayer. And he started off by saying he goes, He he said, You know, you got two ears and one mouth. Yeah.
And he said, you think that prayer is about talking? He said, but do the math. It's a lot more about listening. And then he went on to say, you know, if, and this made perfect sense to the heathen Robbie, he said, you know, if God is really God, He knows what all the stuff that you're really going to say.
So it's not all that much about you telling him a whole lot of stuff. He pretty much knows that stuff. He says it's all about, right, you having a connection, you know, where you're actually having a conversation with God. And that amazed me. Like, what?
Are you telling me I can talk to God? Like, I can have a relationship with God? It just shocked me. And so, you know, that began the adventure. It began the adventure, and the verse that I love is, and they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they love their lives not unto the death.
And I just heard this morning that 52,000 Christians from Nigeria have been killed by Muslims, fanatic Muslims. And it's like, okay, do you believe this thing? Do you really believe this thing? And it's like, at some point in your life, you're going to be tested, Robbie. And I remember when I came to Christ and I've told the story before about a girl that I was interested in as well, kept bugging me about Jesus.
And, you know, it's funny. I never checked my campus email, but my senior year, for some reason, I checked my campus email.
Now I know the reason. And this girl, who I thought was just something else or whatever, and she walked into the class when we were in African-American history class, and she had blonde hair and blue eyes, and I said, I told my friends, I said, that's the girl that I'm going to marry. And they were like, Ozwick, you know, that's the colour, whatever, man. And but she sent me an email, and I had almost forgotten about her. I mean, I had moved on, this, that, and the other.
But I said, I don't know what to say. But I remember she said she loved Jesus, and I said, Here's my pickup line. Hey, I want to get together with you and talk about Jesus. And pretty soon she found out that I had no interest in that, but she took it seriously and she talked to me about Jesus for a long time. And, you know, thank God that relationship didn't work out.
I've got my current wife now and three beautiful children, but it started something. And I'll never forget the moment where it was the it was kind of a test for me. And I was with my friends who were atheists and agnostics, and they were all sitting around at somebody's Colin, Collins' apartment. And they said, Oh, this Christianity thing is a bunch of bull. I don't believe it.
It's terrible, this, that, and the other. These guys are a bunch of quacks. And I was standing there and I said, I believe in Christianity. and Robbie they about died laughing. But I remember after that I said to myself, That's it?
That's it. And I said, man, if that's it, I could take it. This is nothing, man. I went door to door for 80 hours a week selling books. And I do remember sometimes when it stung.
I carry this, it's a bloodstained nail around with me, and I realize that even when things get tough, I haven't been crucified lately. And we've got a Michael Griffin out of, where is he at? Out of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. How are you doing today, Michael? Man, I'm blessed by the best.
You've heard me say that, so I'll say it to you and Robbie. Thank you. Robbie, do you know Michael? I am trying to. We've met, but I don't.
He's good friends with Friend Hagee. They go out street witnesses. I remember out loud.
Now, don't say that out loud. I'm just kidding. Yeah, but tell us your testimony, brother.
Well, I was born and raised in Virginia, South Hill, Virginia. And my dad got transferred to Greensboro, North Carolina. And Robbie, you said that's the first time you went to church, was in Greensboro at the first Presbyterian church. Right. We found a home.
We found a home church at Lawndale Baptist on Lawnedale. I know you probably know where that is, Robbie. I've actually seen it. And I saw this. Oh, you did?
And I, uh. we started going and I I got in with the youth group. And I I was raised in a Christian home but had never made that sacrifice to give my heart to Jesus. And I became really good friends with doctor Charles Page's Yeah. who was in a youth group with me, and he was the pastor at the time of Lawndale Baptist Church.
And he started talking to me about the Lord. And I'd go to his house, and you know, we want to talk about anything but the Lord, and he kept talking about it.
So one day I went. Tolandell Baptist Church. And uh he was there. And uh February the eleventh, nineteen seventy six, four point five in the afternoon on the fourth pew at Lawndale Baptist Church. I gave my heart to Christ.
And uh You know, I thought, man, this is really cool. And the feeling you get with that is like unbelievable. But I have to finish my testimony. My testimony just really began there. I decided that you know what, if I go to church on Sunday and Wednesday, I'm now moved on to college.
If I go to church and Bible study, I've done enough for God. I can go out and. hang out with my buddies and do what my buddies do on Friday and Saturday night. And, you know, I thought, you know, I'm going to go to church on Sunday. Everything's good.
Well, I walked into Faith Church here in Western Salem a number of years ago, and we're about five minutes late. And window calder calder evangelist was was speaking and he said something about Putting the little G's in front of the big G's. He said, Are you giving your heart? 100% to God, are there things in the way? And there was a hundred people at that service.
And he was talking just to me. Oh, man. And he said, you know what? He said, uh, If you are putting little G's in front of your big G and you don't start your day with God and you don't finish your day with God, You I don't I don't know about you. You know, I I just don't know what to think about you.
And uh I'm sitting there on the back pew and I thought, God, I'm not giving you Everything. I said. But God, i I I want to right now I want to give it all to you. I want to put you first in my life and you will be first in my life. from this point forward.
And I rededicated my life to Jesus And I've been living For him, number one, I don't put. anything before him I start my day with him, I end my day with him, and I do my very best. to live and to to satisfy what he wants me to do, my will, his will for my life. And that was something I needed because it was a slap in the face. And I realized that I wasn't giving it 100% to the Lord.

All right, guys, we are back. This is Michael Zwick. I've got Robbie Dillmore, 866-34TRUTH-866. 348-7884 and what is your testimony? What is your t man?
We just heard a powerful one, Robbie, by Michael Griffin, man. I mean, he had some tears in his eyes, and it was really powerful. But we've got his friend, Fred Hagee, on the phone as well. And Fred, I'm sure you've got a testimony as well, brother, right? Hey, Zwig, how are you doing, brother?
Good. Robbie said he knows you. Oh, yeah. Yeah, Fred's indirectly responsible for me being in Winston-Salem. He sold University Jeep Eagle to David Neal, and because of that, David Neal needed to hire a general manager, and that would be me.
Goodness gracious. God always has a plan. God always has a plan, Bill. What is your testimony, Fred?
Well, Zwick, I grew up in a little denominational church. I went through catechism at about 11 years old. And I gave my heart to the Lord, and no doubt I got my salvation on that day. But Robbie, we weren't very passionate And I don't know. I never really bought into that salvation until I heard some guys from North Davidson High School.
This was during the Jesus movement. And those guys were going around the the community down here. In fact, they knocked on our door, my dad's door, one cold winter night and asked him about his relationship with the Lord. And my dad was born again. We were in church every Sunday that we were able to get our feet on the floor.
We were there. But that salvation was just never really quite uh real for me. And I realized when those boys came in that they had some passion that I didn't have. And those guys had some old cars. They took big speakers and put those speakers up on top of the car and they were going up and down the roads down here in North Davidson, blasting that hellfire and brimstone message and talking about being born again.
And I realized then that, you know, I'd been through catechism, but I wasn't really quite sure of my salvation. And my dad walked me through that, and I claim that salvation is a reality in my life. Then and a couple of those guys went on to be full-time pastors, and they just left a profound impression on me. That is amazing. And you said, Fred, when you were in your 40s, the Lord convicted you that you weren't doing enough to share the gospel.
Is that right? Well, uh we didn't share the gospel. We didn't do visitation. We didn't share the gospel. We weren't prepared.
And at forty-eight, I I Uh God put me under a spirit of guilt That I couldn't deal with anymore. I was better. And I was kind of wondering why nobody had ever showed me how to share my faith. Today, I've come to the realization that the reason nobody ever showed me is because they didn't know how to either, Mike. And uh I enrolled in Piedmont Bible College in personal witnessing and evangelism to get somebody to show me.
the really proper and effective way, passionate way to share your faith. And you've been doing it ever since. And and you said you just got back from New York, Fred. Yes, about two weeks ago, Mike, we were up there, I was up there with a group from Teen Challenge. There were about, I don't know, fifty, sixty, maybe seventy of us.
And We went to some interesting places. We uh were on um Times Square? Uh up there doing some singing and testifying and Some of the guys were doing some preaching and giving an invitation, and people were coming forward. A lot of people were wanting and needing prayer, and those guys drew a mob up there, brother. It was a bunch.
We went to Union Square one day. We went to Washington Park. We walked the Brooklyn Bridge did the share in some the gospel out there and it was great, Mike.
Well, and I told you before, Fred, I said a lot of people are complaining about how bad things are in New York. Why not give them Jesus? And you've got a book called Give Him Jesus. Is that right, Fred? It's a personal witnessing handbook, Mike, that will walk you through step by step.
how to develop your own personal witnessing skill set that you tailor to fit your personality type. Tailor it to yourself. And I've read it several times that I'm giving them out.
So it's Fred Hagee, H-E-G-E. Give them Jesus.
So thanks for the call, Fred. We've got a Rick Pearson out of Canada. Robbie, you've met Rick before. It's awesome. Are you there, Rick?
Hey, Robbie. Hey, Mike, how are you? Doing great, brother. Yeah, I asked Robbie at the last minute. I said, Robbie, you got to share your testimony, man.
And Robbie got, he actually got, he got pinned in between a Jeep one time. Is that Robbie? Oh, that's one of my m you know. That was after my chemotherapy treatment. I got crushed by a Jeep.
But I'm really interested to hear Rick's testimony. I've never heard it. Yeah, Rick is from Prophecy USA, up in what part of Canada, Rick? I'm near Toronto in Brantford, Ontario. That's the home of Wayne Gretzky and the home of Alexander Graham Bell, who invented the telephone.
And you said something happened to you when you were seven. Is that right, Rick? When I was seven, I went to church and I was raised under Hellfire and Brimstone. And the pastor had a Ph.D. in Hellfire and Brimstone.
And he had an altar call. And I went forward.
Now, I was raised in cessation theology, Baptist fundamentalist cessation theology. And the pastor said to me, He said, Why did you come forward? And I said, Because I do not want to go to hell. Hey, that's a good reason, right? And they baptized me in water, and they had to lower the tank because the water I could I had to tread water to go out and get baptized.
So they lowered the tank, and I was one of the youngest kids to ever get baptized in that tank. But by the time I was 18, I was starting to really question whether God was real or if this was like a Santa Claus thing. And uh I made a vowed God. And I said, God, I'm not sure if you're real or not. But there's a guy on T V called Oral Roberts, and he says that you're the same yesterday, today, and forever.
And if this guy's right, I will give you my life to do whatever you want to with it. But you got to give me the same lifestyle that these guys in the Bible had. I mean, I want to see signs and wonders and miracles. And when I released that vow, the door of the apartment blew open. I was 18.
I was with another friend. A wind came into the room. It was literally a whirlwind. It was like you'd see in a movie. The curtains were blown.
It was unbelievable. And I hit the floor. Like a sack of potatoes, and buried my face in the carpet and thought, what have I conjured up? And then I started speaking in another language for both. five or ten minutes.
And that lasted about five or ten minutes. I put my hand up. I said, man, Lord, I don't know what's going on, but I can't handle this anymore. Please stop the wind. And the wind went out the door and the door slammed shut behind it.
And you must have said, hold on, God, I'm looking for a sign. Yes, I'm looking for a sign. And I had no idea until a group of Pentecostals, I was sharing this with them. And they said, Yeah, you got the baptism in the Holy Spirit. And I said, What's that?
And they turned to the second chapter of the book of Acts. where the disciples were gathered, and suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind. It filled the room where they were at. And they spoke in over fifteen dialects, the wonders of God. And so that put me on a course of chasing God and I Went to Oral Roberts University and I learned the charismatic teaching, and I understood from then on.
That Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Our Father is not the great I was. He's not the great I'm going to be. He is the great I am. Amen.
And if you call on His name, And you really go for it. He will hear you if you call on that name of Jesus. Because he is the only way to the Father. is through his name.

This is Michael's Wick, and I've got the Christian car guy, Robbie Dilmore, here with me as well. And he rolls his eyes when I say that.
But he's a humble guy. And Rick, you're still there, right? Yes, and I'm the Christian bus guy because I sold buses for 35 years before I got into a television ministry. There you go. Rick, hold on for just a second because we've had a Glenn from Ohio, Springfield, Ohio, waiting for 22 minutes now.
Are you there, Glenn? Yes, I am. Yeah, I wanted to get to you, brother. We've had a lot of calls. But what is your testimony?
Well, my testimony the backdrop is I was divorced three years and lonely, and I had a health condition that looked like cancer. And I didn't grow up in the church A couple of weddings, and I went to the doctor, they ran tests, and he comes into the room and he says, It looks like you have cancer. But the tests say you don't have cancer. And he said, I've been doing this over 20 years. I can't explain it.
And uh that that got me to read the Bible to find out if I thought it was the word of God, I would start going to church. But if by some miracle God could love me. You know, uh I you know, so I started this The January 25th Uh 2021. or I'm sorry, december twenty seventh, twenty twenty one. And on january eighth, After reading the Bible for two weeks, I read through John, I got into Acts, I read this verse in Romans 8.
Therefore what can we say of these things if God is for us? Who can be against us? and God flooded me on my couch, with perfect love I can't even put this into words what this felt like, but it came down real slow, like molasses through my head, through my shoulders, down into my chest. And within this love, I felt forgiveness. And Romans 5:5 says, God pours his love into our heart through his spirit, and that's exactly what happened to me that day.
I started crying. I knew the truth, I knew that God loved me. And that God forgave me. It was a, oh my gosh, that day changed my eternity. And I've read the Bible every day since then.
And I share my This testimony many times. I've shared it many times, and you know, I first started sharing, I didn't even really know the. Romans Road part of it, I would just tell people that God loved them because God loved me when I didn't even love myself and that. To follow up with how good God is. You know, I said I was.
I never had another symptom after this one experience.
So that was God bringing me to Himself. And I was three years divorced and lonely and now I'm engaged and I'm going to marry into uh five grandchildren on one day. And I have none. And I just you cannot out give God in any kind of way. That's what I've learned through my walk.
That is amazing. And it's funny that I brought Robbie Dilmore in here today, Glenn, because Robbie Dilmore, I grew up actually going to Renalda Presbyterian, and we had a pastor named Dick Little. And there was something that I did not know about Robbie at that time. But, Robbie, you had an experience with Pastor Little. Right, I had lymphoma and it was a Uh it had Okay.
Presented itself as tumors all over my body, and like and they stuck out, and I looked like a freak. And uh It was a very dangerous type of lymphoma. And One day Pastor Little said To one would say he came into the dealership. I didn't know him at all. He came into the dealership and he said, God told me there was somebody here that needed to be healed.
And he The salesman knew him because he went to his church, went to your church. And he said, oh, it's got to be Robbie. He's sitting back in his office. He doesn't want to come out because he's ashamed of how he looks. And so Pastor Little came back there and and he said, Well, God's told me to come here and pray over you.
He said, I'm going to anoint you with oil and lay hands on you. And I was like, I had no idea what that meant. I mean, I didn't have an understanding of laying of hands or anointing with oil or whatever. And he starts pouring his oil on me and praying. And I just thought, man, this is kooky, but I am going to go with it, you know?
Yeah. But just. What Glenn described, that same Feeling of molasses, or whatever you want to say. That's right, that's right. There was a sensation.
that came over my body just to tell me That this was no ordinary prayer. And again, I realize, like you do, it was coming from God, but it came through Pastor Little. Right. And. You know, again, I had tumors all over my body.
I was starting chemotherapy on that Monday. Yeah. When I woke up Monday morning. I didn't have one tumor. And I'm talking about things you could see.
Come on, Jesus. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's in Jesus. It's in a book called I know Rick Pearson's getting excited over there as well. But that was what happened.
And like Glenn described, I know that feeling. Yeah. And, you know, that was a big part of my testimony is what Pastor Little did that day.
Well, thank you so much for sharing that, Robbie. And Glenn, I want to thank you for sharing that as well. Rick, are you still there? What do you think about Robbie's testimony with cancer? You know what?
It says in the last days that God will pour out his Spirit upon all flesh. And Robbie, God bless you for trusting and letting that pastor pray for you. You never know what's going to happen when somebody prays in the name of Jesus. Amen. Amen, brother.
And Rick, I know you've been on for a little while, but you have a show yourself, and it's called Prophecy USA. And I think this might have been part of what happened in when you were 18 years old. Is that right? Yeah, it's um w when in twenty seventeen, I've been teaching prophecy for twenty years, thir no, forty years. And America is, I believe, in the Bible.
And America is the seventh of eight providential nations, but it says that God will release. A destroying wind Inside of a Latter-day Nation called Babylon the Great, and it'll come forth out of his treasures. A wind will come forth and it will pull down, root out, and destroy. demonic spirits. And I think this is what's happening In America and in the church, God is showcasing his power before he comes and raptures the church.
And this is all part and parcel of the last days where it says that the husbandman waits for the precious fruit of the earth, that's our souls, until he receives the early and the latter rain anointing. And this is what's happening. God's pouring out His Spirit. Through the name of Jesus. And he's calling those who call on him.
And he's manifesting his presence. Once you get healed, like Robbie or the other fellow here on the line. There's just no denying that Jesus Christ is real. Jesus Christ Go ahead. There's There's no denying it for them.
It says that we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. And when you have a testimony like these guys have, There's nothing that can change their minds. They know that they know that they know that God touched them. I think that's wonderful. I do too.

Yeah, the uh well, I think it's still the same guy. Yeah, the 866-34-Truth, 866-348-7884, if you want to call. Um, but you know, when I was thinking about this, Robbie, I'm reminded of what we were talking about before. But I heard a story about a Robin Roberts, and he was in the Gulf War or something like that, the first one. And they got out of the war, it was all done.
And he was coming home, and he said, I'm going to surprise my family. I think they were up in Massachusetts. I heard this this week. And he said he ended up driving home. And when he drove home, his family had a sign out front, His wife was ready.
The kids were all saying, Daddy, surprise. We're welcome home and stuff like that. And he said, Well, I thought I was going to surprise you. What happened? And his wife said, Honey, she said, We knew that the war was over.
We know that you were coming home soon. And she said, Every day, We were ready and we were waiting as if today could be the day. And I tell you what, one of the things that I think about when it comes to Jesus Christ and my salvation, Robbie, is I am looking forward to that day where Jesus is coming back. And I want to live a life that's ready. Like Michael Griffin was talking about, where he said, you know, are you starting your day with the Lord?
Are you finishing your day with the Lord? I don't want to just be a casual fan. I loved that, right? Are you. looking at your little G's or your big G's, however the pastor said it to him, or getting your little G's ahead of your big G's.
And it took me a while to really figure out what exactly he was talking about, little gods, as opposed to the real god. And you know, it's part of what you want to be challenged with, is to live in the larger story. And it's those testimonies that make all the difference. Um You know, to take you back to Dr. Redhead, my actual testimony.
He had gave that sermon that day, but I clearly did not hear the gospel. But he did talk about that Jesus would literally speak to you. And he showed us sort of a technique of prayer that I call the five Zlama Jamaicas Fajama prayer. Yeah. Where you actually, you know, you let go and let go and let God, and you close your eyes, and you put yourself in a good place that you can relax and you let everything.
Go to God and then you listen. And you expect like Jesus comes up and sits down next to you and listen to what he has to say. Those were the words that he used. And I thought, man, that's an awesome prayer.
Some day I may need that.
Well, about two years later, My son ran away. Um And we hunted for him and we hunted for him and it got to be one o'clock at night, two o'clock, you know, in the morning. The police were then involved and all this stuff. He never came home from school. He was eight years old at the time.
And we were terrified. And I remembered that prayer. Yes. Yes. And I went in the bedroom.
And I prayed. That exact thing. And I just somehow or another relaxed, gave it all to God, and listened. Tell the listeners again, what was the prayer? It was the five slam of Jammuch.
You just listen for God. You just. You just perceive that he came up next to you and you just listen. And so I was listening and he said, Robbie, I got this. And about 20 minutes later, a police car pulls up in the driveway and he says the strangest thing, about 20 minutes ago, I was driving and I saw this little boy getting in a car that he shouldn't be getting into.
Oh, no. And I pulled him over. And it was he was on the wanted list and here he is. Right about the time that God answered that guy. Praise God.
Wow. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. All right, guys, this is Michael Zwick for our last segment. And while I'm thinking about all of these testimonies, I hope it has inspired you today. And I'm reminded of the story of a pencil maker.
And he had finished up a pencil. And when he had finished this pencil, he was talking to the pencil like it was a human being. And he said, there's a few principles that I want to leave you with today. And he said, the first principle is that you want to put yourself. in somebody else's hand.
You want to put yourself in somebody else's hand. I want to ask you, listener: if you are trying to make this life and trying to live this life on your own, the first thing that I want to ask you is this: Will you put yourself in the hand of the Lord and the Savior of the universe? Jesus Christ. Will you surrender your life to Jesus Christ? Because this life can be tough.
This life can be tough. And so, you know, I've often thought about this as well: life is pretty short. You know, and I was thinking about this with Robbie before: that the devil wants you to think. That this life is really long, but eternity is really short. But we all know.
that this life is so short. You know, the Bible says in the book of James, it says, don't you know that your life is like a vapor? You appear for a moment. And then you're gone, and so I want to be able to do the most that I can with this life. that I've got because I know that my life is short.
And tomorrow is not promised. You know, I was reminded of the story of Jimmy Carter, the president who just passed away at 100 years old. And he said that one time he was excited. He was in the U.S. Navy and he had an interview with Admiral Rickover.
And uh Admiral Rickover started to ask him all of these questions and Jimmy Carter started to answer and he was prideful and he said, Yeah. He said, Well, what place did you finish in your class? And he said, I was number 61 out of over 300 students at Georgia Tech. And he started asking him all these other questions, and he didn't know, and Jimmy Carter did not know the answers. And so all of a sudden, Jimmy Carter started to get sweaty and he was nervous.
Admiral Rickover asked him one more question. And he said, did you always? Do your best. And Jimmy Carter was just about to say yes. He was just about to say yes.
I always gave my best, but he said he realized that there were times when he did not. Always Do his best. And he had to say, no, sir. He said, I did not always do my best. And Admiral Rickover looked at him and he said, Why not?
and he turned his chair around. and the meeting was over. And Jimmy Carter said for the rest of his life he could never understand, and he could never understand. why he would not always do his best. If he really believed That the United States Navy was something noble and something good that he could do for his country.
Why did he not always do his best? If he really believed that his education was important, why did he not always do his best? And I can tell you that you Christian. In your Christian life. There are a lot of things that are in your life that are important.
You want to raise your kids the right way. You want to do your best at your job. But I want to give my very best. For Jesus Christ. And the Bible says in Colossians 3, 23, it says, whatever you do.
Whether you're working or whether you're serving the Lord, whatever you do, work as if you are working for the Lord. When you're going out there doing evangelism, when you're going out there praying for the sick, healing the sick, casting out demons, freely you have received, freely give. When you're doing that, you've got to give your very best because someday, You and me are going to stand before the author of the universe, the Lord Jesus Christ. We're going to stand before Father God. And he's going to ask you, he's going to say, Look, I gave you this family.
I gave you these abilities. Did you do the most with what you had? And we're going to be able to say yes or no. You know, there was a book that was written years ago, and it was called All You Can Do. Is all you can do, and all you can do is enough.
But I think if many of us are being honest, we would realize that we're really not doing all that we could do.
Well, what should I do? I have no idea. I'm not you. Like Robby Dilmore was saying before, the Lord taught him to pray. And he said, that preacher who he was listening to, he said, you've got two sets, two ears.
and you've got one mouth. He said, use it accordingly. But especially when it comes to listening to God, a lot of times we want to bring our petitions to God. We want to say, God, I want this, God, I want that, God, I want the other. And all of that is fine, it's okay.
The Lord says: if you ask anything in His name, according to His will, He will do it for you. But at the same time, we've got to listen to the voice of the Lord. You know, the Bible says that my sheep hear my voice, and it says, another, they will not follow. We've got to follow. the voice of the Lord because you know what?
This life is short. You know, I heard the story of a Florence Chadwick and she uh she was trying to cross the Catalita Channel over in um California, and it was 21 miles long. And it was a deep fog that day. And she was swimming and swimming and swimming. And she was with her mother, and her mother was pushing her along, but she couldn't see the coast.
She couldn't see where the beach was. And finally she told her mom, she said, Mom, She said, I've had enough, you've got to take me out of the water. And she took her out of the water, and she realized that she was less than half a mile away from her destination. And later on, she said, she said, if I would have realized how close I was to the beach, she said, I would have made it. I would have made it.
And I wonder if you're listening today, you say, I'm frustrated, I'm depressed, I'm going through a tough time. I want you to know you've got Jesus. You've got Jesus. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. He said, No man cometh unto the Father but by me.
You know, it's like the song, If I've Got Jesus, you've got everything you need. I was talking to a friend of mine the other day, or yesterday, and his name is Todd. He's in South Carolina, and he's really going through a tough time. And I said, Todd, I said, let me ask you a question. I said, if you could trade your circumstances.
For great circumstances. And I said, everything could be going your way with the kids, with your friends, with your family, with your money situation. but you knew that when you died, you were going to hell. I said, would you trade For a person who had it all together in this world, but knew they were going to hell. And he said, No, Mike, I wouldn't.
You know, Jesus put it like this: He said, What good is it to a man if he gains the whole world? yet loses his own soul. But you know, there's good news too. You know, the Bible says in John 3, 16, Jesus said, He said, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. Romans 3.23 says that all have sinned.
And come short of the glory of God. Romans 6:23 says that the wages of sin is death. It says, but the gift of God. Is Jesus Christ our Lord, is our salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord? He gives us life.
But you say, I don't know if I'm going to heaven. 1 John 5:13 says, I have written these things unto you.
So that you may know that you have eternal life. If you've surrendered your life to Jesus, you've repented, turned away from your sins, and like Michael Griffin said earlier, really committed your life to Jesus Christ. you can know today, you can have peace with God. That surpasses all understanding. If you've never done that, I want to ask you right now to pray with me right now.
Just say, Dear Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins. I'm sorry, Lord. I've done wrong things. I've done bad things, Lord. But I turn away from my sin.
And I surrender my life to you. In Jesus' name, amen.
Well, friends, if you just prayed that prayer, we believe you've been born again. Let us know here at the Truth Network or wherever you are. But see, that's not the end. That is the beginning. We've got a long life.
The Bible says that a righteous man falls down seven times, but it says seven times he rises again. And if you know who you are in Jesus Christ, you can literally be a world changer. You know, Dr. Norman Vincent Peale told the story of this. He said there was one time he was over in Hong Kong and he was in the Kowloon district and he was walking around and he he finally went into a tattoo shop.
And he said that when he went into this tattoo shop, he looked up and he saw a tattoo that they were advertising that said born to lose. And he was kind of scratching his head and he said, why would anybody get this? And he asked the tattoo artist, he said, Does anybody actually get this tattoo? And the tattoo artist said this. He said, yes, they do.
And he said, why would they get this tattoo that said, born to lose? And the tattoo artist said this, he said, before tattoo on body. Tattoo on mind. And there was a foreign missionary one time who was over in another country in Africa, and she met somebody and they were in witchcraft. But this person, when they were in witchcraft, they could actually see into the spirit and they could see the amount of spiritual power that different people had.
And she said that she could see around the Christians, and there was great spiritual power that they had in the name of Jesus. She said, but the problem was, was that these Christians did not know and did not use the authority and power that they had in the name of Jesus Christ. And she said, if Christians knew the power that they had, and they knew and they walked in the authority and the power that they had in Jesus Christ, they would change the world. They would change the world. Let me ask you this.
Oh, you want to start. You want to do something. Pray. Ask God, say, God, how do you want to use me today, Lord? How do you want to use me?
