This is the Truth Network. This may be the best soul-winning book I've read in a long time. It's called Give Him Jesus. It's with. Written by the author with Fred Hagee.
He's an amazing man of God. He's in the car with me. Fred, we're driving down the road. We just left an opportunity, you just shared Jesus with the whole company. We had Wednesday in the Word where we shared Jesus with a bunch of men.
What is it that drives you, Fred, to share Jesus? What is your passion? Talk about your passion for sharing the gospel with people. Stu, my passion is this: 95% of the body of Christ have never led one person to Jesus. And I was a part of that for 48 years.
And I've wasted a large part of my life that God had placed people in my path to share the gospel with, and I'd let God down and let God down. Uh in 2002, I had uh incurred all of the guilt that I could possibly stand.
So I went and got prepared. And when we get prepared, God will open those doors of opportunity for us. Amen. And preparing is what you're helping a lot of other folks do. You were on the radio with us recently.
There's a whole podcast at TruthNetwork.com. You can download the podcast. The question of the day on that podcast was. Is every believer a soul winner? Fred, why don't you answer that question and why?
No, every believer is not a soul winner because we're not prepared. We've got, 1 Peter 3.15 says, in your heart, sanctify the Lord Jesus and be ready always to give an account to every man who asks a reason for the hope that abides in you, but do it with gentleness and meekness. And so many of us, like me for 48 years, was never prepared. We, as God's people, have got to get prepared. If we don't get prepared, nobody's going to do the work of the kingdom for us.
It's up to us. Wow, I'm holding in your hand, in my hand, your book, Give Him Jesus. And the subtitle is The Only Soul Winner's Handbook You Will Ever Need. Fred, this really is a lot of sweat, toil, and tears went into this book. Talk about why you wrote this cool little book.
It can fit in your hand, it can fit in your pocket, and you've blessed a lot of people with it. You have blessed all, you just gave a copy to every one of those employees. We just left one of our Christian radio partners. You gave them all a copy and you gave them a charge, a challenge. But what is it about this book that's so important and that you poured your heart into this really this life's work of yours?
Student, that book will walk the man of God or the woman of God through step by step how to develop their own personal witnessing skill set that they tailor to fit their own particular personality type. We're all different. That book is not a one-size-fits-all approach. It is a self-tailored approach that you tailored to fit you. And as you do that and apply that, you will develop a comfort level in sharing that gospel and the message of the cross.
And when you do, you start to not focus on your skill set. You start to focus on that opportunity to share the gospel with that lost sinner. That's what that book's entitled intended to help you do. Get comfortable with your own personal witnessing skill set. Fred Hagee, the book is Give Them Jesus, the only soul winner's handbook you'll ever need.
We don't talk about soul winning a lot nowadays. We don't, maybe we don't, we're not out there inviting people to come to Christ, Fred. Will you empower everyone listening right now? Give everyone listening right now. A challenge.
If everyone listening to my voice on this national radio show, we've got hundreds of affiliates that graciously carry this program every week. If everyone listening, Would actually share the gospel with one person. what would happen and how can they do that in a very practical way. This is what I want to, the challenge I want to give them, Stu. I want you to pray for two people.
diligently daily. uh one person you know that is spiritually lost A second person that you don't even know who is, that God's going to put in your path. I want you to start praying for those particular two people. I want you to get the book. I want you to focus on chapter two, four easy steps for sharing the gospel in four minutes.
Get that ingrained into your skill set, who you are. And as you do that, God will avail the opportunity and you will witness lots of decisions for Christ. Can we send anyone that reaches out to us a free copy of this book, Fred? Absolutely. Oh, my soul.
Okay, and you're welcome to support his ministry too. I guess there'll be information we can mail you. These are great friends, partners, the truth network. I've known this guy forever. He's been a mentor, and he's what I call a soul-winning mentor.
Whenever I go out with him, It's like a revival because we're sharing the gospel. Friend, there's nothing more invigorating, there's nothing more re-energizing than sharing the gospel. What is it about sharing the gospel with someone that has Christ that makes your problems get real little and brings your perspective up a whole notch? Stu, when you share the gospel with that lost sinner, you are never, ever, ever closer to God. That's the closest to God you will ever get is when you tell that lost sinner about the cross.
Wow. And it's as simple as telling him. what God did for you. Taking him through the Bible. You don't want to make it all about you.
I mean, there's some good scriptures you take people through. You pull your Gideon Bible out, you take him right through those key Bible verses, like John 3:16, the Romans road, were some of those right, Fred? What's that like? Oh. That's where the power is, dude.
The power is not in the man of God, the power is in the word of God, and that's why we've got to always be ready. We've got to have our scripture source with us. I use a little Gideon Testament. You can get those. You can write your scriptures down, carry them in your pocket.
You can use your phone, whatever. But the quicker you can access your scriptures, the more rehearsed you are in those scriptures, the more people you're going to witness make that decision for Christ. Because that's where the power is. You want to see revival break out in your life, break out all around you? You start sharing the gospel.
You start engaging that darkness. You watch the light of the world come into action and spark your life. Fred Hegey, give them JesusTruthNetwork.com. Just go to our site, email us, call us, give us your information. Your email, and we will get a copy of this book off to you.
And courtesy of this man, the author, Fred Hagee, who follows the author and finisher of our faith, Jesus Christ. And he goes around introducing everyone he can to him. Another website we've told you a lot about is sharethetruthnow.com. Fred, you know, those little share the truth cards. And our friend Jesse's offering free.
Evangelism cards to anyone that'll reach out to him at sharethetrothnow.com, and you can. Literally, get a whole case of these cards. And these cards will equip you as well. And they're a simple gospel through a digital QR code. That shows hundreds of videos of how to witness in the most difficult situations.
But Fred's book, Give Him Jesus, this thing will arm you for battle. And this is really. The Uh A gift that Fred wants to bless you with, Fred, real quick. You want people that read this book. to how do you want them to respond, what's the biggest takeaway?
Uh stoop uh Preparation, getting prepared, get your eyes open. God will provide you the opportunity. They will arise when you least expect it. He mentioned those cards, the book, just get something and get ready. That lost and dying world is looking for our message.
They may not exactly understand it. They may not exactly realize it, but they know there's something wrong in their lives. They know there's something wrong in our country, and they're depending on us to share that with them. Amen. Fred, a verse of the Bible really.
Got your heart in a big way. You might say it kind of woke you up. What was that verse? I think it was in Peter. Can you share that real quick as we get out of here with our listeners?
1 Peter 3.15, but in your heart sanctify the Lord Jesus and be ready always to give an account to every man who asks a reason for the hope that abides in you, but do it with gentleness and meekness. 1 Peter 3.15. God's command. That's all we need to know right there, Fred. And that.
really forced you to look at every soul. as someone in need of the Saviour. We're just humble messengers, we can't save anybody, right? We can't technically win souls, but he that wins souls is wise because we're simply pointing them to the one who can change everything. And that wouldn't you say, agree with that, Fred?
How would you close this out? Amen. Uh, Stu. You're never closer to God when you tell that lost center about Jesus. I want to encourage everybody to take some time to get ready, to develop your skill set.
There's all kinds of tools and assists out there. Just do something to get ready. This lost and dying world is depending on us. The last takeaway I'm going to give you, Stu, is this. According to Barno Group, 70% of lost sinners who were asked, would you be willing to listen?
to a presentation of the gospel from somebody who is passionate about their faith, 70% of lost and dying sinners said, I would listen to a presentation from someone who is passionate. We've got to get ready and we've got to get passionate. They're looking for our story. Truth top line. Yeah.
