This is the Truth Network. This is the Truth Network. Welcome to Truth Talk Live. All right, let's talk the truth is. I can't hide it.

Pack it home. A daily program powered by the Truth Network. This is kind of a great thing, and I'll tell you what. Where pop culture, current events, and theology all come together. Speak your mind.

And now, here's today's Truth Talk Live host. How has a biblical beauty I like that. They kind of go together. How's a biblical beauty... Affected you.

Like, you know, you taste and see that the Lord is good. And it's amazing how many women in the Bible have stories. Yeah. that are so significant to how I see God. and certainly how I've lived my life.

Yeah, and and Just unique, amazing. insights that we only see in the stories of Certain biblical women take it, Rachel, Sarah, Abigail, right? Or, you know, many Marys, or Miriam, the original Mary. eight six six three four eight seven eight eight four eight six six three four eight 7884. What is it in that story?

that that just radically Touched you in such a way that you know, we're living right now. in the time of Esther. I mean, whether you realize it or not, I mean, you know, Purim was Tuesday and certainly Esther was the queen of Persia. And so Like Iran, Persia, right? You get you get the idea that a bunch of Jews were supposed to be killed on Purim, and the opposite actually ended up happening.

And so it seems like there's something in Estra about that, or maybe you had something that you saw with Hannah. They literally cast lots to get the right month and the right day. to kill Jews. And apparently they cast lots to create National Hymn Women's What's the What's What Date is it, Doc?

Well, we're in March, and it's Women's History Month. And we should take time to take a look at these various women who've contributed greatly to history. But when it comes down to us at Truth Talk Live, we're looking to see what biblical women made a mark in history. that inspires us. We're talking about Esther right now.

I mean, my goodness, she stepped into the fire. Uh Mordecai said, Duster, you've got to go to the king. And she's like, you know what? If I do that, I can die. But then she had to make that big decision: if I die, I die.

And then she called for people to pray for her, to fast for her. But then she went in and she let the king know what was going on and she saved her people. What a historical person making history. That's absolutely right. And so you know.

A story, something in the Bible that really You tasted it and it changed the way you thought about certain things or helps you understand faith or however it looks, whether it's Ruth Naomi 866-348-7884. It's the number to call in and share, 866-348-7884. And coming up. Dr. Gary Chapman, the author of the Five Love Languages, he's got a word to say about this situation with biblical women.

Plus, he has a big event that we want to share and get you some information. We're going to talk about that here in a few minutes. But again, as always, this is a live show because. We're looking for you. to say wow This is this is some amazing stuff.

And so one of the things that Doc brought to my attention actually last Saturday. As I was, we were doing the remote out at the Menn Summit. Uh he brought up Abigail. And he said, no, actually, the way he framed this, and see, maybe we should just throw this out there. He said, Robbie, where did Jesus get the idea to wash feet?

Where did the feet washing idea come from? And of course he stumped the panel. Meaning me, and I will never ever forget now. I know where the biblical example of washing feet came from.

So, Doc, where'd it come from?

Well, we have Abigail. who is um Yeah. The wife of Uh a guy that's really bad. Nabar, he's a he he he's he's a fool and he's he's treating David with a lot of uh contempt And David gets upset. He says, You know what?

I am going to just go and I'm going to kill that guy. I'm not putting up with him anymore. And Abigail finds out that David is going to go and kill her husband Nabel because he's such an idiot. And she goes, You can't do that. You can't do that.

You are too big of a man to be doing this. God's got great plans for you. And if you're just going to take vengeance on people, that's going to ruin your testimony, your reputation, your character. And I've always looked at Abigail from 1 Samuel 25 when David said, You have given me such great advice. Everybody's Abigail in their life.

Well, I'm reading the story. And I kept reading on Peas the fact that he was so appreciative of her giving the advice. That I I guess I'd been so caught up on the fact that she was a great advisor. I um I kept reading where David, you know, Nabel will die. And then David will send word to her.

Come and be my wife. And in verse 41, 1 Samuel 25, 41. She sends word to David through his men Let him know, I accept, I will be his maidservant, I will wash. The fears. It And you're thinking the next word is going to be feet, and it's not.

I will wash his servant's feet. And all of a sudden, wait a minute. She's not saying, I'm going to come and wash David's feet, a sign of incredible humility. She says, I'll wash. His servants' feet.

And that's what Jesus did. He washed really his servants' feet. Wow.

So maybe that's where he got the example from. Absolutely.

Well, we got Serena. is in Dayton, Ohio. Serena, you're on True Talk Live. Hi, yeah, when you were talking about women in the Bible, I. Ironically, I was just thinking about that today, even before this broadcast, about How you know, it seems like there's not a whole lot in the Bible about women, but the women in the Bible.

Um have really critical roles, especially when it comes to loyalty. I feel like almost every story, it just shows women just kind of being, you know, very loyal to Jesus throughout and then in the New Testament. But in the Old Testament, The story of Ruth has always really resonated with me. her loyalty to her um mother-in-law. And um years ago, I remember just being impatient because I felt like Uh God was calling me to do something and nothing was it it just felt like it wasn't happening and um He, you know, God said to me, Be still, my daughter.

And I had to look it up. And there it was. And You know, I said, be still, my daughter. And I'm probably not quoting this right, but your Redeemer will come. Yes.

Oh. was a foreshadow of Jesus. The Redeemer. And you know, that has really almost been something that has just stuck in my heart. For a long time, is that you know, God that Jesus is my Redeemer and He will redeem me.

And Ruth is where, you know, pointed me to that. And also just her loyalty. It just so um resonates so much Um and I feel like a lot of the women a lot of the stories throughout. the Bible around women really highlights the loyalty. Um I had a conversation today with a lady about Ruth, and that very thing you said, oh, it's amazing.

And I was blown away with this thought. after they got back to Bethlehem. You don't nay owe me. Says when she got back, I have come back empty. And it's almost like for Ruth, she must have felt like chopped liver.

Hey, what about me? I came back with you. I'm here. I said I will go where you go. I'll stay where you stay.

I'll be with your people. Your people will be my people. I'm going to be there for you. And all of a sudden, you said you came back empty. And yet you come to chapter two, and there's Ruth.

Serena, I hate we got to go to a break. Thank you so much for your call. That was amazing. Yes. Absolutely amazing.

Ruth loyalty. Beautiful. Thank you. God bless you. When we come back, we got Gary Chapman.

has got a word for us. And hopefully, we will get you. We got Jamal too. 866-348-7884. We'll be right back.

You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to Truth Talk Live. Today we're talking about biblical beauties and Actually, the beautiful stories that Really add so much To the Bible itself. I can't imagine, right, without the stories of all these amazing, amazing people of God that happen to be, you know, beautiful women and often described as that way, as Doc pointed out to me.

So Stu has got Gary Chapman, and he wants to get this information on. Unfortunately, talk a little bit about the same thing.

So here we go. Friends, we've got a great special interruption here, Stu Upperson, and I'm with Dr. Gary Chapman. Dr. Chapman, You are all over the world.

Sharing the gospel, talking about the five love languages, an amazing book. And you're doing a special family conference this weekend in North Carolina. It's not too late. for our North Carolina listeners to pop in. Doc, can you talk real quick about the importance of these kinds of things?

And then can you give us a little bit of the who, what, where, and when about this conference? I am excited about it. Most of the time I'm speaking out of the state, and it's great to be close to home. But this Saturday, March the seventh, Starts at 9 o'clock in the morning and goes to 3:30. Five different topics on marriage and family, focusing on family.

For example, we're going to have a whole session on the five traits of a healthy family. What does a healthy family look like? Did you grow up in one? Do you have one? How can you have one?

And then a whole session on the five love languages of children and teenagers. It's just geared to parents and grandparents and even single adults that hope you someday might be in a family and have children. Then I do have a session specifically on marriage. One session is on marriage. It's called Initiating Positive Change.

If you wanted to have a better marriage, where would you start? Most of us start in the wrong place. We're going to talk about how to have a healthy marriage. And then a whole session on anger, understanding and processing anger. Mismanaged anger destroys family relationships.

And anger itself is not the problem. It's how we handle anger. And then the final session is on dealing with our failures. None of us are perfect.

So we have to deal with our failures, and that involves apologizing and forgiving. But we have different ideas on apology.

So I'm going to share five different ways to apologize because all of us have different ideas. It's going to be a very practical conference for, again, for parents, grandparents, single adults, anyone who would like to learn more about how to have a healthy family.

So I'm excited about it. And if they want to register Stu, they would go online to fivelovelanguages.com. That's the number five. Five Love Languages dot com and then click on Events. And you will see High Point pop up, and you can register right there online.

Okay.

So it's in High Point, North Carolina, this weekend. And, Doc, what's the venue again, the church that this is going to be held? It's Wesley Memorial Church. It's a well-known church there in High Point. Wonderful.

Well, thank you so much, Dr. Gary Chapman, for all you've just done to pour into me. I've been to your conferences. I absolutely love them. I know this will be a blessing to many people that can get there.

And if you can't, go to that website and go to another one down the road. It fits perfectly with what. We're talking about today on Truth Talk Live. We're going to throw it back to them. But first, Dr.

Gary Chapman, can you lay your favorite Bible verse on us? What's a verse that has been a blessing, a real. Ministry in your heart, if I can put you on the spot real quick. Touchdown Isaiah forty one, verse ten. Fear not, for I am with you.

Be not dismayed. I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. A lot of encouragement when we realize that God is on our side. He loves us, He wants to help us.

That verse means much to me. There you go. Pretty awesome to get a little stew in there. As we're talking about biblical ladies of the Bible, I mean, ones that just really change things, you know, in some cases, like Rahab, you know, just like an amazing thing. Actually, in Jesus' genealogy, we got.

Jamal, but we want you as well. 866-348-7884. The number to call in and share: 866-348-7884. What say you, Jamal? As usual all um Thank you for taking my phone call.

I'm glad to hear you guys talking about this topic and glad to be talking with you. Christian Carr guy, Robbie Dillmore, and Dr. Date the word Carson. Yeah. I don't really have a riveting story uh about What a What the hell has done in the Bible?

I respect them all. Ruth was an amazing story. We heard about that in Bob's study. maybe not riveting, but uh very impactful would be a better better phrasing for me. And that was Mary at the foot of the cross.

And I'm not sure who else was with her. I think somebody else was with her. I'm pretty sure you guys know. But when all the other men, when they ran away and when they were not there, Mary remained. and it was told I think she went back and told the man that um I think he resurrected.

I think that's what it was. But the thing that really stood out for me is when everybody else left, Mary remained at the cross. Yeah, it's And, you know, maybe you've had a friend that stuck like that for you, Jamal. Have you got a story along those lines? Actually, I do, and he's good.

Also, for a favor from me, help clean up the parts where I don't miss if Mary went back and told the guys about the resurrection, if anybody else was with her. But as far as a friend, it's funny you mentioned that. Uh I had a uh best friend named Cyprian Jechel. He was Polish.

Now he was a non-believer. Uh and um But uh we grew up together, literally. Uh he was a best friend of mine. Closer than a brother, but he's no longer here. I won't get into what happened.

But even though we were not of the same, even though we had differences as far as culture, background, faith. There was nobody. that I trusted more than this Cyprian. Um And and also he also was one of the many people that could make me laugh as well.

So to answer that question, that person that stuck by me, you know, ride or die, that was Zipri and Chetchell. Yeah. Wow.

Yeah, that's uh you know, that that wa that whole idea of a friend Um is huge. Awesome. her brother. Yeah, and and and that that obviously would be something that would stick stick out into you is the way that Mary did that and stood stood there. And then, you know, obviously w one of the more difficult things she did was go to anoint the body.

Oh, yeah. Yeah, and she went early that morning. and Mary Magdalene was right there when he died. I should be there when he's buried, and she's going to be there. There, first thing.

that Sunday morning. And she's going to be the ones who will go and tell the other disciples He is is risen. She was the first one given an assignment. By the Lord, go and tell my disciples. I like that, Doc.

The first one to get an assignment.

Well, thank you, Jamal. That's awesome. We have Mary the mother Jesus getting an assignment. And now at the end, we get Mary Magdalene getting an assignment. Yeah, and I'd love you know personally since we're talking about Mary and Uh before we lose Jamala, I just share that All those people, to an extent, were named after Miriam because.

Greek was the uh was the ma language that they wrote the the New Testament in, but those people were all Jewish, and so they were all Miriams, um, because that would be, you know, after the prophetess that was Moses' sister. And so in that particular generation, um, everybody wanted To be the mother of the Messiah. And the idea of Miriam being a prophetess was a common way to name. um young ladies and believe it or not to this day You know what the number one... Most popular women's name is I'll give you three guesses, Jamal.

Mary. You got it. It it's fascinating to me how God honors a name. You know? How many times do we hear the word David in the Bible?

Because again, and clearly Miriam had a special relationship with God, and I love it, that she was a friend of God's when you think about it, right, Jamal? Absolutely anointed him and all sorts of things. We want your calls: 866-348-7884, 866-34TRUTH to your woman of the Bible. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Yeah.

Welcome back to Truth Talk Live. Today we're talking about Uh, due to the fact that it's um a women's history month, right?

Well, there's no better history of women, in my opinion, than those that are written in Scripture. And f you know, you take it from Eve on out. That they're made a huge impact on who we are today. And I'll tell you something.

Okay.

Well, I should tell you first to call in at 866-348-7884 because we want to hear really how they've impacted you. 866-348-7884. And I don't know if I've told you this, Doc, but. I don't know, about three months ago I changed Like a lot of people, they have a prayer time in the morning. And, you know, I would often.

was my practice to thank God for my family, like, you know, for my wife, my kids. And I thought, well, I need to back that up, you know. at least one generation. And then I started thinking, man. I really need to thank God for Adam and Eve.

Like It like the original mother of all living people, Eve. Right. You were in there, right? There was some part of you inside of Eve, and as phenomenal as it is, man, you think about the love that she had for her children and that she still is. In my mind, you know, looking down on her children, I happen to be one of them, and I'm kind of thinking I'm her favorite, just saying.

Eight six six three. I wasn't ready for you to go there. 866-3487-884-866-34 truth. And I have to tell you, Doc, there is a dogwood tree behind you that is blooming. And I have to say, it makes me smile.

And I think about that. But according to the Bible, there are certain women that we're supposed to be thinking about. If you're not thinking about women, then you're not really being biblical because the Bible tells us that 1732, we're supposed to remember Lot's wife. That's right. And boy, did she make a mistake.

Don't make the same mistake. Don't look back to the world. And then a woman but you've already mentioned her, Miriam. Right. So when you mention Miriam, I'm remembering that I'm supposed to be remembering Deuteronomy 24, 9.

We're supposed to remember. What God did to Miriam, because you know, she also made a bad decision there and had to be corrected. Um So, two women to remember in that way. But then we've got other biblical characteristics, qualities that we want to remember. We talked about Ruth a little bit ago.

I mean, the whole town, boys says, my whole town knows you're a virtuous woman. How are you known around town? And you may know that But The actual first Prophecy of the Messiah where he's called Mashiach. Is found in Hannah's song or Hannah's prayer that she prays after she drops off Samuel at the new mother's morning out in Shiloh. We were just there.

I did not think of it that way. You didn't think of it as a mother's morning out, but for Hannah, it really kind of was. And. But nonetheless, when she dropped him off, she was so excited that she broke off into like very similar to Mary's, you know, the. Magnificent.

That you would describe this unbelievable elation of this child. Um Which is kind of cool with Mary's because she has both Elizabeth's child and Jesus that's kind of in the picture of that particular one. But it's very similar to Hannah's situation where she had struggled to have a baby. And here comes this phenomenal, phenomenal. Prophecy Of the Mashiach.

Right here, the first time you see the word Messiah, the way that it would be, both.

Now there's anointed people as far as the priests before what Hannah says, okay? But there's never an anointed king. And therein lies the difference. In other words, you'll see the word anointed, which means Messiah, in Deuteronomy and even in Exodus and places like that. But the first time that you find the word Meshiach or Messiah, the anointed one, connected to a king.

Is Hannah in her prayer? And before that, she said some other th spectacular things. where she makes reference to God being the God of all knowledge in verse 3. Chapter 2, verse 3. Yes.

And actually, in the Hebrew, that's knowledge is. And it's tucked. The word knowledge is tucked in between two of the words for God, the holy words. One of them is El, and the other one's Yudhe Vavhe. That.

You know, the big name of God, the Jews won't even speak. And inside of that name is this idea of knowledges. And there she is actually, to some extent, speaking to the fact that proud people had given her all this information. But there was one person, i.e., God, that actually knows, and it's inside of him all knowledges, and it's plural, knowledges. And it's beautiful the way that God did that in that particular verse.

And it's done again. Buy a woman. 866-348-7884-866-34TRUTH. Doc, you look like the man who swallowed a canary or something. You got something.

Well, I just again, Hannah, what a history-making woman. Trusting the Lord, being barren. Very painful. She wants a child. She's seeking the Lord.

Her anguish was mistaken for drunkenness. She's rebuked by Eli, and she's like, No, no, no. Your servant is calling out to the Lord. My heart is just broken. I'm pleading with him.

And then she gets this son and she lends him. To the Lord, she places him in his hand. But as you're talking about Hannah. Not only was she talking to God, she was learning about God. And her prayers.

You know, you learn a lot about what a person knows about God by the way they pray. Yeah, and that prayer, by the way, if you go to Shiloh, and I hope you do in Israel, there, where she did that prayer in Shiloh, right there in the temple of the Tabernacle. Yeah, excuse me, at the tabernacle. I'm glad you're here for me, Doc. Yeah, she was at a tabernacle, and right there is Hannah's prayer, a big, beautiful place where people pray.

We got Trisha in Ohio. Trisha, you're on. Truth Talk Live, what you got for us? Yeah, I like the story of um JL. Oh, yes.

There you go. And that's that's a unsung Woman of the Bible. Um But the whole story of her is she knew Cissera. Because of her husband, and um, so they had some. history together as far as knowing each other.

And what JL was called to do was Um on the surface, very difficult. to do. But for her being a Um A woman who, you know, put tents up all the time, and she was in on, you know, conversations. And I could be putting pieces in there that may not be in the Bible, but I did a study on her one time.

So she knew Sisera. She knew his how evil he was. And so when God called her, because Barack would not take The Lead to do it because Deborah told him, you know, the woman's going to get the glory on here. And when God asked her to do it, Um everything was set up and she did it without hesitation. And there was no repercussion.

There was no um Is it like There was nothing afterwards That gave her anxiety, or, you know, what is that? It's a phenomenal, phenomenal story. But you're just going to have to forgive me, Tricia, for saying this. And I know Doc will, but, you know, I'd be remiss if I didn't say that she totally had Cicero pegged. I'm just saying.

Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I'm pegged.

So my my takeaway the first time I read that story was God will ask us to do difficult things in our life. But with him, he'll give us the power to do it. And it may not be what she had to do. It could be anything that's difficult. And and a woman of of valor.

It from my you know, and I and and definitely taught that way uh by the Jewish tradition that she was big time woman of valor that um She's tremendously revered. Yes, absolutely. And should be. And should be, because the courage that's involved in that is unbelievable. But.

You know, I don't know about you, Doc, but I've Your wife. It's got a little Jill in it. And so does my. Like, I know a lot of women that they have a boldness that's underneath there. That when something needs to be done, and my wife will tell you, like.

If somebody needs to complain about something from Amazon, it's not going to be Robbie. Yeah. I have my own gel that does that kind of stuff. But I don't know. What do you think about that, Trisha?

A lot of women have that ability, right? Yeah, it's a gift from God. I mean, if. Innately we want are husbands to be the leader, to take that lead. But If we are called into that, We will step into it.

And we will too. You know, because that's how God wired us to be. I'm telling you, because if you're at at dinner with with Doc and me, right, and the steak comes out not the temperature that we would prefer, Am I missing something, Doc? It would be Tammy and Danita that would not, you know, it's going to be. And it's a fascinating thing.

I don't know how exactly that works. But you're right, it's a gift from God that they have. There's a boldness. Um and and and it has to be handled correctly. But I I I wasn't expecting jail today, uh but this again, she she's sung about.

I mean, that's that's Deborah put her in her song. For how she took that hammer and hit the nail on the head. You had to do it, didn't you? Tricia, I am really admiring your scholarship on this. I think you put it together beautifully.

And I had never considered. Um You know How she would have been Skilled with a hammer and a tent peg. Yeah. Because she put them up all the time. Right.

I mean, that was. That was her part of being The helpmate. And she knew how to do it. And I'm, you know, if you think about it, if her husband went down at some point in time, I'm sure she took the lead and said, okay, let's get these tents up. He's either he's away, he can't be here, whatever.

She's going to step in and do, but then whenever he comes back, you know, she goes back to where she wants to be again. You know, women really do not want to be stepping into the men's position naturally. But if we need to, we'll do it. That's beautiful. Absolutely.

Then when they come back around, then it's like, 'Cause some husbands travel or do this or that. You know, I can relate with farming. You know, I hate we got to go to a break, Tricia, but. Worb Delighted to have you stay on for another few minutes if you'd like. And we'll be right back.

We would love your story. 866-348-7884. Great Women of the Bible. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to Truth Talk Live.

Well where we are. discussing like It's biblical beauty in a unique way. It's. Women of amazing character. That made a huge impact on the biblical narrative in so many different ways.

And as Tricia pointed out a minute ago, it was a gift that they were given of God, and they were faithful to it. You know, even Hagar. Right? As she was obedient to her husband and headed out into the desert. Um And as it was, God met her there.

I don't know if you're familiar with the story, but the God that sees me comes from that one where. Oh you know, Abraham and his Wife Sarah had used Hagar to have the other child, which was Ishmael. And she went out with Ishmael in the desert because Sarah didn't want her competing, her son Ishmael, competing with Isaac. And there... In obedience.

An Egyptian woman You know, meets. The god you know, she wasn't Jewish, she was a woman. She meets God and and he gets a name that we know. Um as the God who sees us. That's a beautiful thing.

That again, it's just how many of those what's your story? 866. We want to hear from you. What which one touches you? 866-348-7884.

86634 truth. Then there's unnamed women. There's unnamed women. And um Some of them do some incredible things that You may remember the events, but you don't know who they are, and that goes with men as well. Um But we are in the month of March where we are challenged, in our country at least, to Look at women in history.

So I come back and say, from date the word, we need to look at women in the Bible for the month of March. And looking at like 31 different women, I've been inspired by a woman. Who wrote on these women of the Bible? Her name is Shannon Bream. You might see her sometimes on Fox News.

Shannon Bream wrote a book, The Women of the Bible Speak: The Wisdom of 16 Women and Their Lessons for Today. And Hagar is one of. her sixteen That speaks.

So she didn't just choose just the Jewish women of the Bible, but here she chose Hagar.

So when you were talking about that, that sparked me to think about Shannon's book, because I remember reading that book, and I recommend that ladies. The women of the Bible speak: The Wisdom of 16 Women and Their Lessons for Today by Shannon Breeman. And look at how women, again, they shape. History Eight, six, six. 348-7884-866-348-7884.

You can't mention the name Bathsheba and not. Get all sorts of shenanigans that may pile up in your mind.

However, However, Whether you go with a genealogy at Luke or you go with the genealogy at Matthew. Both of those sons War from Bathsheba. of D all of David's wives, which I was always rooting for Abigail. Like, I really wanted Abigail to have you know, be in the line of Jesus or yeah, in one of the other ones. But no, no, no.

Both um both of the Sons mentioned. were sons of Bathsheba. And a lot of people, Robbie, think that when Solomon writes in Proverbs 31 about the virtuous woman. Interestingly, they they think that he's writing about his mom. Who was involved in adultery, But then Mm-hmm.

She goes through the forgiveness as well, as David had to go through. and repented and now she's going to raise a godly man, Solomon. Who's going to become the king? And when you think about what happened for Solomon to be the king, at this point in time, David is 70. Mm-hmm.

And He's kind of all over the place. He's having struggles with this and that and the other. And he hadn't had the best luck with his boys, right? And Bathsheba calls him on it. I mean, she goes Falangelle on.

That's right. She kind of had him pass on this. Hey, David, we got to have a conversation now. Right, right. And because of that, Right?

It changes the world. It changes history. Because Solomon required. You know, wisdom in order to do it because he was young and he calls on God, and the whole new temple is built, and there's so much happens as a result of. You know, Bathsheba stepping into that moment in history when things seem to be floundering because, you know, that was an amazing kingdom that David had built.

And there there it all was. You know, it's it's fascinating. But I know you're sitting there, Robbie. Let me tell you the story.

Well, please. 866-348-7884. 866-348-7884. Which story? It may be dark as I haven't heard any new New Testament women.

You know, maybe you're into purple. I like that. My daughter told me today she could not call in because of a teacher-parent meeting, but she said, Dad, I love Lydia. What a woman, how she helped get that church at Philippi going. And here we have a woman so involved that when Paul writes to the church at Philippi, he doesn't have anything but good to say.

Uh she was a Foundation stone. I like to say it that way: a foundation stone for the beginning church there in Philippi, the first church in Europe. And one of my all-time favorite stories about a woman is, how about the girl that answers the door for Peter? Yeah. Rhoda, right?

You can't be here. You're not supposed to. We're praying for you to get out of jail. Sam, oh, it's so real. You know, it's just, you know, if you're going to write the Bible, you probably would leave that part.

But no, no, she's right there and she's saying what we all think. Right You know, God can't get you out of prison. Yeah. Oh yes, he c he must be a spirit. We'll have to do a show sometime about surprising answers to prayer.

I just I can't believe he did it 8663487884. Who are who is the woman? That that Really, you know, it gives you a flavor for who God is. Isn't that a beautiful thing that God is all genders, right? And inside of God, is when He made men masculine and feminine, He was giving us beautiful images of Himself that can only be portrayed in some cases.

Through women. No. And as a result, we have these amazing stories that. You know, only could happen as a result. And I know you've been touched once, so call us.

Doc? Yeah, um We'd like to pitch it this way. If you could have dinner with...

Someone. One of these ladies, Robbie, you and Tammy, who would you want to be sitting down to dinner with tonight? Just to let them tell their story to you. Who would that be? I gotta say.

Rahab would be one. Because I mean, oh my goodness. I mean, she. was raised in a place that had to be difficult like uh Jericho at that point in time. was completely Uh, wild town would make Dodge City look like nothing compared to how she was raised and what she got involved in, and yet.

When the spies came in, she saw something she hadn't seen before: righteousness, and what that looked like, and what that felt like. And she. She wanted to to experience that and the fact that you know, that she ended up with that scarlet thread, right? That red, hmm. cord that she would hang Right.

You know, aren't we understand that she ended up marrying Caleb Saloon. Salom, that's right. and would have a son named Boaz. Boaz. who would marry a woman named Ruth.

I often wonder what Sunday dinner was like with the virtuous woman and the former prostitute. And both of them, you know, Ruth was a Moabite. uh despised person. And yet, here they are both in the line of Jesus. Talk about the redemptive power of Jesus Christ.

Doesn't matter what you've done, doesn't matter where you're from. He will save anyone from anything. Doesn't matter your gender, doesn't matter your race. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Wow, he's for everyone, everywhere.

Right. And so that you know, that's one. How about you, Doc? Who do you want to have dinner with? Oh, if Denita and I could have dinner with Mary of Bethany, she has just been one of my biggest heroes.

We've got all these male disciples.

Well, Mary of Bethany, there's more written about her than ten of the twelve disciples. You get three beautiful pictures of her life. She's sitting at his feet and she's listening. She's learning. We don't know what she learned, though.

I would love for her to tell that day Jesus was teaching. I do know that when her brother died, while Mary was upset, Martha was upset, Mary was at his feet again. and we read about Jesus weeping, but then she would wash his feet. With that alabaster jar full of precious ointment. Oh, she broke a vase.

She showed extravagant love.

So I would love to spend some time with Mary and Bethany. There you go. They're history makers. They are. And you're a history maker.
