This is the Truth Network. Welcome to Truth Talk Live. All right, let's talk the truth. I can't hide it. Oh!
A daily program powered by the Truth Network. This is kind of a great thing, and I'll tell you what. Where pop culture, current events, and theology all come together. Speak your mind. And now, here's today's Truth Talk Live host.
What does bold faith look like in today's world? Bold Faith. That's a different kind of word. And where do you think men struggle most? To live that out.
Of course, this is a live show, and if we don't get your calls, it's just not near as much fun.
So. Where do you think men struggle? Maybe where do you struggle to live out a bold faith? What does that even mean? 866-3486.
7884866348. 7884, we're talking about something that really doesn't get addressed nearly enough in Christian circles: bold faith, not loud faith. Not angry faith. The kind of faith that stands firm when culture shifts, the kind of faith that doesn't shrink back when leadership costs them. The kind of faith that shows up in your home.
or your workplace or your community. You know, we're living in a time where many men feel sidelined, confused about their role, uncertain how to lead spiritually, unsure how to stand without becoming harsh or passive.
So What happened to boldness? Was it beaten out by criticism? Was it dulled out by comfort? Or did we simply forget? who we are in Christ, right?
So have fun. I really am having fun because I have a good friend with me, Roy Jones. And once again, this weekend, we're going to be live out there at... The triad area wide Men's Summit and this year it's big as ever, a new location, all sorts of stuff, Roy. Yeah, we're excited, Robbie.
Thank you for having me join you today. It's we've got a great lineup of speakers. It's in Greensboro, technically a Jamestown address, but it's at Life Community Church this Saturday from 9 to 2. Three. Yeah, we got General Jerry Boykin, right?
The founding. member of the former commander of Delta Force. Yes. Right. He understands courage under fire.
We got Ken Klein back, right? Pastor for 35 years. We're going to hear from Ken coming up here in the next segment. And, of course, many of our good friend Nikita Koloff, it's time to man up, talk about a bold faith. Yes.
Right? Very much so. And he'll be emceeing for the for the the day, which is always fun. I think I was the first MC assignment that he ever had, but he's been so good at it, we've used him multiple years. Oh, he's he he is.
Of course. You know, I think a big part of being a professional wrestler is that you you gotta have a command Of the audience, right? And he certainly has that. And so. You know, here's a question that again, I love when you call.
It means so much to me, it means so much to the other listeners because what you're experiencing, what you've experienced, so many have, and who knows who you can encourage by your call. But you know, when was the last time your faith required real courage. Mm. eight six six three four eight 7884. And sometimes we've got to kick this off, Roy, with a story that makes people laugh, you know?
So I had. For those who know me well, know I was so scared before I came to Christ, I was afraid of the dark and used to get my wife up at night to. Go check on things. Here I was, six foot five, 250 pounds of complete chicken, right? But interestingly, God.
Help me through that. One night by asking me, Robbie, what are you afraid of? And essentially, to make a very long story short, it was, oh, You're threatening me with heaven. Like... Are you afraid of death?
Well, Heaven might be really great. Like, wait a minute. And so, over years, I progressed. And as much as I was afraid, terrified of the dark, One night, not terribly long ago, maybe four or five years. I am doing my regular study.
It's dark, right? And all of a sudden, I hear footsteps on the roof of the house, and it ain't Santa, and it ain't his reindeer. I was awake, and I was, you know, it was like three in the morning, and I'm Like, man, there is somebody on my roof. And I mean it's clear. These are footsteps.
These are loud, heavy footsteps on the roof of the house. And uh I ran in and said, Tammy? There's somebody on the roof. I'm getting my shotgun, which was under the bed. I said, call the police.
So she calls the police. My daughter, my at the time still lived with us, was upstairs and um I unbeknownst to me, she was calling the police, right? Oh, wow. And so, you know, Tammy's calling the police saying, My husband has just gone outside, there's somebody in our roof and he has a g my dad my husband has a gun.
So I walk out the door, right? Shotgun, and soon it's a semi-automatic shotgun.
So I j You know, Chamber. Chamber of Shell immediately is. I'm coming out the door, which makes a pretty obvious sound if you happen to be on the roof at that moment. And as soon as I step out the door, I hear this guy going, Don't shoot, don't shoot, right? And it's like, what?
What? What? You know, so when you think about a bold faith, like, I wasn't losing my mind or anything. It was just like, man, somebody's on the roof of my house. It's three in the morning.
This can't be good. The warrior took over. Unbelievable for me, because we're talking about former chicken. You're just cautious, that's all. This guy is standing there, which by the way is in his bare feet.
And I was like, And he said, Don't shoot, don't shoot. And I was like, Man, this is real. There's a guy on my roof and he's standing there. And I said, What are you doing on my roof? And he said, I'm looking for my daughter.
And I said, Are you sure you're not looking for my daughter? Like, what are you doing? And he said, No, I'm pretty sure my daughter's up here. I said, dude, man, your daughter is not on my roof.
Well By this time. Like all of a sudden, I think the entire Winston-Salem police force showed up. There are sirens coming up. I lived on Transoo at the time, and there were sirens coming up Tranzu, and there are sirens coming down Transoo, right? And this dude, like.
He runs on a dead run across, and this is a two-story roof he's on at this point in time. He runs off the roof. I see him hit the ground on a dead run, And he starts to run back across Trans U about the time that these two police cars about run into him, right? Oh my goodness. And I don't know why one of those police cars had a police dog on it.
They let the dogs out on the dude. He's running. The dog is chasing him, right? And here comes the police, like, Mr. Dilmore, put the gun down.
Calm down, sir. I'm calm. I'm fine, you know. Right. And it s it turned out that he was, as you might imagine, really high on something and and and they actually there's a lake, I think it's called Balsam Lake over there.
And they those dogs ran him into that lake. He was trying to get away from them. And they put him in the hospital. And I hope he's better. But nonetheless, it.
God allowed that in my life, no doubt, for me to see. that he had given me faith where there was fear. Mm, that's good, Robbie. And so, you know, when you're thinking about it, did God ever give you an opportunity to see a bold faith? Like, Really?
You're going to go walk out there with a gun?
Well,. Yeah, when you think you need to.
Well, that's that protective mode that God instills in us. That's right. 866. I need your stories. 866-348-7884.
Of course, it's coming this weekend in Jamestown. It's a big place. Yeah, Life Community Church, 4,900 Wendover Avenue, Robbie. And it is a Jamestown address, but it's right on West Wendover, so it's just as you cross the line from coming out of Greensboro, right off 73.
So got a fan fantastic staff there. They're excited about hosting this year and looking forward to it. We've got several hundred men that are going to be showing up and we're excited. Yeah, if you haven't been to one, I'm telling you, what a way to get you know, twenty twenty six going In the right direction. With these iron sharpens, iron men are going to speak into your heart.
And then it's going to be like it'll be a large group, but it's going to be a real group. Yeah, real group. Very intimate. Right, and where people are going to get real with you and give you an opportunity to be real. But the lunch is involved, right?
You get free lunch. Yeah, lunch is included. It's $24. It's sort of free. Yeah, it's free from a ticket perspective.
You don't have to go buy it or buy it separately. In fact, the whole day is very affordable. We try to make these events very affordable so men don't have a reason to. Stay away. And I get to see it because we're going to be live out there from 10 o'clock to 12 o'clock.
Coming this Saturday. This Saturday. Don't miss it, Ryan. It's the Triad Area Men's Summit. You can sign up, get tickets where?
At TAWCMM.com. You've been advertising for us for the last two years. TAWCMM.com. Call us 866-348-7884. We got Ken Klein coming up next segment.
Truth Talk Live. What does bold faith look like in today's world? And where do you think? And I mean this personally, you right now, where do you think? Men are struggling to live it out.
Where do you struggle? I want to hear your ideas. 866-348-7884-866-34 TRUTH. And as advertised, the one, the only. Ken Klein, who will be one of the speakers, and I'm going to tell you.
I just had a chance to spend some time with Ken as he was interviewed by Nikita Koloff for an upcoming man-up show. I'm telling you, I'm going to be reborn, I'm pretty sure, on Saturday. I'm going to be read this and read that because I mean, it's all ministry is like read this and that. Yeah. I'm here, brother.
Are you receiving my signal? I am. I am. What's up, brother? Hey, good to hear you, Roy.
Good to hear you, Ken.
So, as you're bringing it this weekend, and people are going, gee, I wonder if I should invest $24. To um Go have lunch with Roy Jones and Ken Klein.
Well, definitely Ken Klein. I don't know about the Roy Jones part. And then Keita Koloff and General Boykin and several other amazing parts. But what? I mean, there is something special, right, that God has given you.
in this re-message that that Seems like it just keeps on growing for you. It does. I think we started out Roy, if I'm not mistaken, with bold face. And somehow someone snuck in the rediscovering The reword on top of that.
So, yeah, it just keeps growing. But I think that's an important part of our conference. I don't think. It's that there's 300 plus guys coming. That aren't in a relationship at all with the Lord.
I just think for so many. We talked about it this morning, restore, renew that joy of my salvation. Uh, I think a lot of the guys are are They need a rebirth in their love for Jesus. Not that they just don't know him, but. I think that's something we've really Kind of latched on to, hey, I'm excited because it's not just a theme for a conference.
It wasn't just a theme that we used at the mountaintop. I think it's a theme that's going to be here for the year. Yeah, amen. It's what we're doing is we're not just trying to have a a good powwow in a great You know, a great conference, a great inspirational session. We're really trying to.
just launch a whole new vibrancy, I guess, or renewal of vibrancy in their love for the Lord that gets them off the sidelines. I think we're on to something. I've been excited about it ever since we talked about it last summer. Yeah, when I grow and growing and growing. You know, for pastors to be recalled.
Like you were called originally, and then you get. Recalled. And for somebody who was in the car business for 40 years, recall has a whole different meaning. That's where my mind went. Was to re recall.
We got a defect. We got a defect. You know, usually if there's a usually, if there's a recall on something, it's because Uh something's gone. wrong, whether it's a small part or a big thing. But if you ignore it.
what they're saying is if you if you just ignore it, Um then it could lead Two. bad things, bad you know, worse things could happen. And so re a recall Um Is you know, it makes perfect sense, not just for pastors, but for all of our guys. Let's go back to the beginning when you first fell in love, when you first. met Jesus.
when you were first forgiven. When you first realized who you really were and him, could we come back to that place and start over again? And uh yep. Yeah, I love it. I I love it.
I got that sense. Man, if we could all Re-center, you know, not to mean to use another word, but you know. get back to you know, where we belong in Christ. Yeah. Um And right, if especially we do that in community.
Right? Because it's it's one thing for me to get recentered, but to get recentered in community with a group, you know, with a band of brothers, that kind of thing. Is yep. It helps you live life. I can't imagine, right?
Roy, I know you've had...
some struggles over the last couple of years with your health. What did a band of brothers mean to you when you had that, right? In that. Sense. No, it's exactly where you're leaning into here, Robbie.
It was. I think the day of the stroke that I had, it was one of the brothers that Ken's very familiar with was sitting behind me, and he caught me. Uh as I was falling out of the chair, getting ready to fall out of the chair, and uh when I went unconscious. And then several of the other guys were there at the hospital for the next six or seven hours with us and just And then throughout the journey of k getting back on my feet and just getting through some of the mental things, they were all there. And you know, it's...
Best described, I guess, in Mark 2:1 through 5, where the four guys took the paralytic to Jesus.
Well, there's one of our brothers, in fact the guy that caught me many years back, he said, you know, at some point all of us are going to be on the map. And to your point, Robbie, that uh Having those brothers and that network around you and that community, it gives you a certain amount of peace and actually falls right in with the bold faith because you know you've got a group of guys that's going to hold you and sharpen you and hold you up and prayer, and they're going to be there if something goes wrong in your family. It's a, and you know, as you were going through it, Robbie, the thing, and Ken, you and I have talked about this, is that. I think God The reason men like team sports so much is because of the camaraderie. Right.
It's a battle together, whether it's in sports or in service together or whatever. But you come to a bonding that I know you know I've got your back, Robbie, and Robbie I know you've got my back, and Ken knows I've got his back, and I know Ken's got my back. That's so unique. And I think God gives us that desire for that camaraderie and fellowship. And uh and if we don't have it, we're we've got a big void.
And that's all the more reason if you're if you're if you might be a lady and you your husband isn't you know, have that and you know, you know. Like, man, honey, they got this conference going on, right? A and and it it'd be good, and it will be good. I can't tell you the number of men that are influenced by their wives saying No, I don't think you ought to go. You know, I need you to stay home with me.
It's Saturday. You know, it's your day off. Or, honey, go to this, please. You know, and it means the world to husbands. You know, to have to have that kind of thing, to have that kind of support.
And Rob, we were in a restaurant not too long ago with two other pastors. I was there with two other pastors and we were talking about fellowship and community and the intentionality of small groups within churches and this particular pastor is one that Ken has met and that we're going to help him get his men's ministry started over the next few months. There was a lady and her she had to probably be her and her husband were retired, I'm sure. And so she comes up and she says, I'm buying you guys lunch. She said, but I want to tell you something.
She said, I've been listening, not eavesdropping me, but I couldn't help but hear your conversation over your love for the Lord. My husband needs community.
Now this is a guy that's Had to be late sixties. He needs community, so we all need it, Robbie, to your point. The wives need their husbands to be part of something different than just the husband-wife team. Yeah, I I know. I know, Ken, you were talking about, you know, as a pastor's wives.
Are our secret weapons. Amen to that. And you've experienced that, right? I mean, on a real neat level. Oh yeah.
Absolutely. She she was uh so much of the rock. Um you know, behi there's this stability. I kidded this morning when we were talking earlier with Nikita that. I can't remember.
I there's no way I can remember how many times she kind of talked me off the ledge. you know, when I got home, so I just can't do this anymore. You know, or I got home from a bad board meeting. Right. She was the rock, no doubt.
Amen. I hate we're going to lose Ken, but we will have Nikita in the next segment.
So, Ken, thank you so much. We're excited to see you Saturday. Oh, I can't wait. I'm so excited. Love you, brother.
Love you guys. Yeah, man. Again, it's going to be happening. Where, Jeroy? Yep, at Life Community Church, 4900 West Window Avenue, Jamestown, North Carolina, 9 a.m.
on this Saturday, February 28th. Be there. Yeah. Welcome back to Truth Talk Live. We are talking about bold faith today.
And uh This idea that is going to be, you know, well discussed and well thought out. the Triad Area Wide Men's Summit that's going to be going on. It's on Wendover Avenue, but it's a Jamestown address. And the name of the church again, Roy, is Life Community. Life Community Church right there on Wendover Avenue.
Again, it starts at 9 o'clock. 9 a.m. Yes. And you've got to go to t-a-w-c-m-m.com to get your tickets. And again, it comes with lunch.
It does. It comes with lunch. And actually probably have a few bottled waters available as part of your day. Yeah, and it it is a full day because it starts out at like 9 and you got General Boykin. And Bishop Larry Jackson, and you've got Ken that we just heard.
Of course, Nikita's the MC. Yes. And we've got David Redding, the founder of F3, co-founder of F3, will be with us. How cool is that?
So, speaking of Nikita. We have him here, the Russian nightmare himself. And in living colour, hey guys, how everyone? How are you, sir? Wonderful, the Roy and Robbie Show.
So, how excited are you to get to do this again? How many years have you done it, Nick? Yeah. Man, I've lost count. Roy might have a better idea, but Between I guess between Speaking an MC, I don't know, five or six of them?
How many do you think? Yeah, at least I would say probably seven, because you know, we had you. Uh, when we had Michael Jr., you remember in 2015, and then uh, you did you guys did a tag team, I think, with Lex that weekend, and. Then you you spoke, you've MC'd, you yeah, so uh yeah, at least at least that, so. Quite a few.
always said Roy does such a great job and the guys are really bless those who attend or blown away by by by the day and so yeah, it's a lot of fun. And so, when you think of this idea of, and again, we just heard from Ken about rediscovering, you know, a bold faith. Uh Nikita, you have a bold faith. Anybody that's ever hung around you any length of time. Rediscovering that's kind of key, isn't it?
Well, the Bible says not to be ashamed of it, and so.
So I'm just one that uh you know it's gonna Put it out there in front of people and it boldly, lovingly. uh put the message out there in front of people and and uh I know for the guys who attend this coming weekend, they're going to be challenged, but they're also going to be empowered. Uh Eddie Grips. To go out and live a more bold life as a man of God. Amen.
Well, you know, when I think of Nikita and bold faith, and you might have experienced this with him. that, you know, a lot of times you'll go out To a meal, and sometimes you like you'll have a whole group of men that are going out to the meal, and he will say, Look, I'm gonna buy everybody's dinner, and this might be 20 guys, right? Are we talking about Nikita? We're talking about Nikita.
Okay, he says, I'm gonna buy everybody's dinner. But what you were going to pay for dinner I want to give as a tip to the waitress. Have you experienced that? No, he's uh No, Nick, I got to dial into some of this next time. It's one of the boldest things I have ever seen.
I have never seen people impacted. With something that seems so simple. And I'm never with Nick in the large group. It's usually just him and myself, or maybe one or two other guys.
So it's.
Well, what you got to that what you got to do, boy, is just commit to coming to the Staffing Man Camp sometime and get to experience that first stand. What the deal is, is is as I've prompted and led, Yes, I'll buy everybody's entire dinner or breakfast or whatever it is, with the deal being. They all then have to chip in And bless the waitress.
So the waiter. Yeah, there have been times that the waiter waitress has gotten three, four, five hundred dollars, literally been in tears. um and overwhelmed at uh at at what we what we give her Or yeah. And it impacts their faith. And it it so clearly comes With the prayer that you always offer for anybody that ever waits on you, and it's a completely bold thing to sit there and say, Well, how can I pray for you?
That's a bold thing. It is. But. When you offer it with and again, the one that I remember. That was the girl that w.
was trying to get the money together for a nursing school. Oh. And I think it was over $500. And Yeah, tears. But the point I was going to make is it just didn't impact her.
It impacted every single guy that was there that saw it That God was in the middle of it. And look how neat it was because of The generosity Of everybody involved, because it was Nick's generosity to buy everybody's meal, but the guys didn't tip little amounts. I mean, they way exceeded what they would have paid on breakfast that particular time that I'm talking about, right, Nick? Yeah, and and it's not you know, it's somewhat you might say s relatively uh relatively simple thing like you said, Robbie. You know, now it's it's you know, it's a step of faith and and you know, picking up the tap, but Well, God loves generosity and He loves a cheerful giver and But one way I can give to the guys, and then in return, they can give to the wait the waiter or the waitress.
And at the end of the day, everybody wins, including God. Amen. Yeah, yeah, I know he was smiling that day looking down on all of us, but I I just think it challenges us all to go wow. This is a moment that usually you get waited on and you go on about your life. But due to bold faith on somebody's part, Again, and seeing it, and being around other men that are being bold.
Like, if you go to... If you go anywhere with Dr. Carson, who I do this show with a lot, okay, you can count on the fact that he is going to ask them when their birthday is. If he's waited on by anybody, or he just meets him in line, if he's staying in line, it's a way. Where's your bir when's your birthday?
And as soon as they spit it out, man, he's gonna give them their birthday verse. Right, and begin to engage their faith. I don't know how many times I've seen it. Wow. Or if you're with Stu Epperson and you're getting gas?
Like, be ready. Because the other people getting gas are all here from it's a bold thing, right? Right, Nick? 100%. And again, we're not to be ashamed of the gospel.
We're to be bold with our faith. you know, not not overbearing or overwhelming. But just I'll emphasize in a very loving way, you know, to be able to share our faith with others. Right, and it was peop somebody's bold faith, right, Nick? That guy.
In Charlotte, that day that you came to Christ, right? He came up to you afterwards. Talk about being bold. Yeah, yeah, the the one who uh Prayed for me for five years, I think you're referring to. Prayed for me every day for five years.
Uh and um you know, wanted to come up and and share that story, you know, had never met me. But uh want wanted to share that story and to you know, it took courage and took the boldness to introduce himself and come up and and share that story with me, yeah. Yeah, I often think about that. It's such a beautiful story. If you hadn't heard it, this man, before Nikita had come to Christ, he saw him wrestling and he started praying for him every day.
Wow. Right? God put it on his heart: pray for that man. I've got what? A ministry on it's call call to ministry on it's like yeah five years.
Five years every day. And it just so happens of all the zillions of churches that Nick could go give his heart to Christ at, it happens to be at this guy's church, right? And he goes to the altar. And then this isn't your regular like. Who could make this story up, right?
But the guy's bold faith to follow God to pray for Nikita, but then to, you know, like. Nikita's a pretty famous guy. Like, I'm not like, well, oh, by the way, I've been praying for you for five years. Yeah, I just think it's It's beyond cool, man. You know, because of that boldness.
of that man, right? You've been able to share that boldness with other people and same in your life, Roy. Yeah, it's uh It's There's so many stories, Robbie, and you know, it's just I'm just amazed that sometimes God's given us opportunities to do just what Nick did for that lady without. going into details, you know, for the waitress and Uh with the team of men. And I think that's what's so much fun about it: you do it, and nobody knows you did it.
You know, that's for me. And it does take bold faith to ask that question: how can I pray for you today when your server walks up? and you get some amazing answers and some that are just just for my family.
So But but um Reaching out, and it just goes to show you there's a guy that was praying for Nick for five years. Nick had no idea, but the guy was faithful. And continued to do that, and then had the opportunity for God to bring him into that building. Could have been any church across America that. Nick made the decision that, but I think God, and here in the story, God honored The prayer warrior by allowing him to be there when Nick made a decision to follow Jesus.
I yeah, it takes my breath. Right? Encourages my faith to hear those, and again, that God gave you a chance to see it, Nikita. Um You know, share it with it. Experience it, yeah.
Witness it and experience it. And so, of all the speakers that I got to know, man, that that you know you're going to hear, and you've heard most of these guys before, which one are you most excited about? Me personally? Yeah. Well, they're they're they're all I mean, Roy always does a phenomenal job putting together a a lineup of speakers and And so it's interesting how each speaker might minister differently to each man there in the audience.
But if you put me on the spot and I gotta pick and choose somebody, I'm gonna probably choose Rory already knows probably who I'm gonna say, I'm gonna probably choose General Boykin, General Jerry Boykin talk about bold faith and stepping out there in a military role over the years and sharing his story. Uh incredible how he has made an impact and a difference on other people's lives. Amen. Yeah, when you think of just plain masculinity Right? Not toxic masculinity, but real live biblical Jesus masculinity.
to stand in that man's presence, to eat a meal with that man, right? To be around him and in any way, shape, or form. you get a chance to see it. And experience it, and that's you know, I'm with you, like, I can hardly wait, just just. The way he carries himself, the dignity, the honor.
You get all that, right, Roy? Yes, you do. It's all in one package. It's beautiful.
Well, Nikita, thank you so much for calling in. And dialing 866-348-7884. Absolutely. Glad to do it. Can't wait to see you guys on Saturday.
And hey, lady, if you're a lady out there listening, get your man of any age there on Saturday. They'll give you the information. If you're a guy, get get off the fence. Welcome back to Truth Talk Live. Today we are talking about Bold faith.
And and You know how that fits. In with this triad area-wide men's summit, rediscovering it, right? And getting into the game. Right? Because every every nobody wants to sit on the bench if you're a guy.
Bench sitting is not where we want to be. Not at all. And God doesn't want you sitting on the sidelines. No, no, he wants you in the game, and that takes a certain amount of boldness just to say, put me in, coach.
Well, and he told Adam that, right? Because when he placed him in the garden, he was to take care of it. That means all things take care of everything. And he didn't say go take a nap underneath the tree. He said, Here, this is yours to care for and take care of it.
There you go. And so here's our opportunity to rediscover that. It's going on off Wendover Avenue. And I'm so glad you can remember the name of this church, and I don't know why that won't stick in my head. It's Life Community Church at 4900 West Wendover Avenue, Jamestown, North Carolina.
As much as I needed Life Community, and there it is right in one church, Life Community Church, which is your new church, right here? It is, yeah. Life Community Church. And it's right down Wendover, right before you get to Jamestown. And amazing venue starts at 9 o'clock, and lunch is included.
And again, an amazing lineup of speakers. But also, you'll be sitting next to some guys and you'll be seeing some guys and and you're rubbing elbows. Um With guys that are going to have similar responses to some of the content that you are. Right. And and these may be friendships 'cause That that lasts.
For a lifetime, the kind that when I think of Ken and Royheff, right? That, you know. Ken's speaking, but he's been a longtime friend of Roy's. And these are part of the community that, you know, as we were talking about that, um when you may need a community and you talked about your stroke. I remember when my dad died.
Hmm. And he actually died. on a Monday when boot camp was that Wednesday. Oh my. And my wife said, I know you.
You gotta get out. Right. And so there was my Banner Brothers, right, for me. And I did my father's funeral on that Sunday. Shoosh.
And when I looked out in that audience And I saw Bob Young, and I can list all the people that are in my life that are my. You know, that if it weren't for Right, the battle buddies, if it weren't for Jesus, I wouldn't know these people. Right? They wouldn't be close to me. Like, he put all these people in my life.
And as a result, when I was on the mat, I love the way you put that. And sooner or later, we're all gonna be on the mat. Yes. And when you are. You know, who's going to be there?
And I know Jesus is going to be there, but he's going to put some people around you with skin on. And so I couldn't recommend high enough this opportunity to come meet Roy because I know he's a real friend or come meet me or come meet Nick or General Boykin or Ken because these are all real guys. There isn't a guy here that wouldn't want to be your friend. Amen. I totally agree.
So I got Mike is in Dayton, Ohio. Mike. What does a bold faith look like? up there where it's snowy. It's not snowing right now, but anyways.
You asked what those men struggle with. And. Oh yeah. Men struggle with time and money. Mm.
Time Time, giving your time to God. and giving your money to God. Men struggle with that. Because Because um Yeah. We want to provide for our family.
We want to provide for my w you know, when we make people around you happy with your money. and your time. And when God says, hey, give your money to this or give your time to that. It's a struggle. And because you got to pull away from this and that.
To give to God. And when you do, it's a sweet. Sweet thing. Oh my gosh. And your dad was a pic your dad was a picture of that for you, Mike, right?
I mean, he was buying all them bubblegum things in Mexico. I don't forget these stories, buddy. Oh, thank you. I got another one for you. I'm impressed.
I got another one, sir. My dad one time bought me a milkshake when he couldn't afford it. And he gave me a milkshake, and I'm in the back seat, and I'm drinking this milkshake, and I'm saying, oh my gosh, this milkshake is great. I handed it to my dad and I gave him a sip of it and he says, My gosh. That is a great milkshake.
And I said, Dad, it is unbelievable. That is with that's the same thing with God. When you give your your time and your and your and your money. God says Thank you. You bought him a milkshake.
You gave it back to him. And you said, oh my God, isn't that true? You got me wanting a milkshake now, Mike. But isn't that true? Bubblegum.
I mean, isn't that the way? Bubblegum, yeah. You know, but what a beautiful picture that is because believe me, I can think of many times I couldn't afford a milkshake, right? I can remember that. I know that feeling well.
And I bet a bunch of guys out there can relate to that. Yes, indeed. And at that moment, to buy your son a milkshake with whatever way that he makes it possible, when your son wants a milkshake. Right. Mm-hmm.
Yeah, you're going to find a way to get him a milk, you know. Like, you know what I'm talking about, Roy? Oh, yeah. Yeah, and boy, do uh. Yeah, you you come through the g come through it.
And you m and God's the only way you come through those things. We went through a similar journal years back. And it's funny when you say not have enough money, you know what it's like to use your debit card and not sure if it's going to go through or not. Oh, too well. Oh, too well.
Oh, man, you're standing at the grocery line and like Well, we didn't quite make it. Let's see what we can put back. Oh, but Mike, you bring up a great point. Yes, you do. And.
Yeah you know, it it's a beautiful thing. But it just gives us a better picture of man. Jesus wanted a milkshake so bad when he was on the cross. Mm. but because he wanted you and me, he he didn't give it to him.
I can't even imagine. I can't fathom it. That's more than I can understand. Because You know how much you love your son, and I know how much I love. Can I possibly dream of not giving him?
A drink of water? when he was in that position of some kind, some way. Like, it's unthinkable. Um it is.
So You know, your point is beautiful. And as always, I'm really glad for your dad, Mike. God bless you, man. Oh, I'm so glad for my dad, too. And he made me the man I am.
You're making me cry.
So I can't wait to go to the boot camp with you, sir, and see you soon. Oh, yeah, that's right. In a couple of weeks, you're coming. I'm coming to see you. We've never seen each other.
I know. Here we go. It's going to happen. Robbie just has one request: bring some bubble gums. And a milkshake wouldn't hurt either.
I can't believe you remembered that. That's amazing. Thank you, Mike. God bless you, man. I love you.
Talk to you soon. That Previgen must be working, Robbie.
So, once again, we want to remind you, man, this is an opportunity, man. It just is. Um And and You know, you've got a million ways that you can put it off. But the bigger thing is just to ask God, man. Like, if God puts this on your heart, don't walk away from it.
Amen. Move. Yep. Start stepping towards him and let him do the rest. All right.
And the way to do that is to go to the website, which is T-A-W. Which it's kind of an interesting thing. You got to give them the acronym. Yeah. It's T-A-W-C-M-M.com, which stands for Talking and Walking Christian Mids Ministry.
So it. And we it was formerly known and still we still a lot of people call it the triad area-wide men's ministry, Christian men's ministry. We've got a when you hit that website you go straight to the event landing page So all you have to do is click on the brochure and it gives you the opportunity to purchase your ticket. And we do encourage you to get your ticket purchased. We will build some extra lunches, but this gives us a headcount, more accurate headcount for planning and making the lunches Friday night for everybody.
Right, right. You don't want to have them running out of food because they feed me the extra. Probably usually losing six or eight bags. No, nonetheless, yeah, go to t-a-wcmm.com and get your ticket. Again, if you're in Raleigh or Durham or whatever, I can assure you, man, just, I mean, if it was Jerry Boykin alone on the, on the, on the, but it's so much more.
And I think when you, when you meet Ken, when you meet Bishop Larry Jackson, and you see what God's put on their heart, and like you said, Roy, it may not be. This message or that message, but you came for that message, and it could be something that literally was a turning point in your life. That's right. And a lot of people are, you know, it's February, man. We're struggling.
We haven't seen a lot of light. It's been depressing. Yeah. And there's a lot of men, I'm sure, that are listening, and ladies too, Robbie, that. are familiar with F3.
uh the faith, fitness, and fellowship. I'm sure I've got that out of order, but David Redding is one of the co-founders. He's going to be one of our speakers on Saturday, too.
So quite a few of the F3 men are coming that are from the area that are part of those organizations. Faith, fitness, and fellowship. I wonder if that what order it sounds like that's probably right, Roy. It's F3, though. My memory's not as good as yours.
I hope David's not listening because he'll say, wait a minute, Roy, you got it out of order. It's just faith, fellowship. I know faith has to come first.
So, you know, faith, fellowship, and fitness doesn't sound as cool as faith, fitness, and fellowship. But I'm just saying, I don't know, but it is F3. And he's going to be sharing. And again, how important is that? And Nikita always makes, you know, it radically changed my life coming to man camp.
and working on my fitness.
So, this is not just all of that. You look great, by the way. You look younger, Robbie.
So, whatever you're doing, you must be using that. Face creamed as well. T-A-W-C-M-M.com. Go get your tickets. I want to see you Saturday.
It would be so much fun. Yeah, join us. It is a bold faith. Oh, it is. Yeah.
