This is the Truth Network. This is the Truth Network. Welcome to Truth Talk Live. All right, let's talk the truth is. I can't hide it.

I can't hold it. A daily program powered by the Truth Network. This is kind of a great thing, and I'll tell you what. Where pop culture, current events, and theology all come together. Speak your mind.

And now, here's today's Truth Talk Live host. It's the National Religious Broadcasters Convention 2026 in Nashville, and we, Dr. Carson and I... Um Dr. Date the Word, Carson and I are here in Nashville.

We're live actually at the Gate Lord. Um Opryland, like man, amazing if you've never been here. What a what a A place It itself is a treat just to be at this hotel. Right, right. And if you're watching on Facebook or YouTube or whatever on my on Robbie Dilmore's YouTube channel, you would be seeing the inside of our room actually as we are getting ready for the convention floor to open up tomorrow.

And we are excited because, oh my goodness, what we are going to... And so for those who may not be familiar with the National Religious Broadcasters Convention, actually... I think this will be... My 19th that I've had a chance to attend. Um And it it is an amazing opportunity where you see the Chuck Swindahls and the Will Grahams and the David Jeremiahs and the All the all These folks come together.

uh in an attempt really to You know, join with Christ in the moving in a direction broadcast-wise, both television and. Uh radio of course and internet and podcasts and Publishing because you know, I know one author who's got a new book this year that he's he's he's actually doing a signing. Yes, I've never done one of those here. The first one you ever do is here at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention. We're letting people know about the Date the Word daily devotional that can be purchased off of our website, date the word.com.

And just looking forward to letting people know more about this tool that God has to help people have daily devotions in a unique way. Yeah, and it it draws a lot of wonderful, amazing other servants. Yeah. President Trump was here in his first term, I think a couple of times. I know for sure one time, and I'll never ever forget because one of the first ones I went to, George W.

Bush was president, and there was a George W. Bush impersonator, and the guy looked identical. Have you ever seen him? Yes. He looks identical to George W.

And sounds so much like him that he has to have Secret Service. But anyway, it it it is uh a neat opportunity and it's just not for a It's an international convention, I assure you. I have never. Been here where I did an interview. Um many, many, many international folks from Israel, from France, from Asia, from oh my goodness.

Well, this morning I was with a gentleman from England. That's right. And uh Richard Gamble, and we talked about his big project and uh dreamed of a dream to have a eternal wall of answered prayers. One million of them. And I got to hear how that project is coming along and the king is supposed to be there when they dedicate it in 2028.

King of England himself, and this is a vision we found out years ago. He's been at it about 18 years now, trying to get this thing done. And uh You can still go online. I know I did a couple of them. Yes.

Answers to prayer that you can fill out a form that will be on this eternal wall of answer prayer there in England. And what a neat thing for that. They believe 44 million people will see it a year. we'll see this. You know, it it's so high that uh the uh statue statue of liberty will fit under it.

That's how high it's going to be in the air. And so trains cars and planes. I think it's like a movie. But they have to be automobiles. Planes and trains.

Planes and automobiles. The thing you have to think about, you being Dr. Date, the word Carson, and the fact that today is February the 17th, which today's date is 2:17. And your verse for today?

Well, I went with Nehemiah 2:17. There's a great one out of Hebrews 2.17. But this has to do with this wall, the eternal wall. And I told Richard that today. Then Nehemiah said, You see the distress we are in, how Jerusalem lies in waste and its gates burned with fire.

Come now and let us build the wall of Jerusalem that we may no longer be a reproach. That's Nehemiah 2.17, and he's casting a vision. And I talked to Richard, I said, here we are having breakfast this morning, and we're talking about this Bible verse. Nehemiah had a vision, you had a vision. And one day that wall's gonna be up one million bricks.

That's unreal. every one of them in answer to someone's prayer. And there's a story behind every one of those bricks. Yes. And that story, just based on the era that we live in, is going to be totally available to anybody as they...

Yeah. get a chance to You know, walk this. This wall is going to be absolutely fantastic, but it it You know, we've heard So many things like that that God is doing around the world. And that's the thing about the NRB. we get a chance to come together to find out In our small corner, there's a lot of things God's doing in other corners.

And that just really excites you because you realize I'm not doing this alone. There's a lot of people passionate about getting the gospel to the world. And again, that's a key here. This is in America. There's a big concentration here.

But Robbie, like you said, this is an international convention. This is how do we get the gospel through all these different media. outlets from radio My goodness, Jerry Falwell used the radio to preach the gospel. He got saved because of the radio, listening to Charles E. Fuller.

So the radio has been used for years, and then television comes along. And now we've got the internet, we can do podcasts. And even right now, we're on Facebook Live, and it's how many people are able to watch this YouTube. I've done Bible studies in Pakistan. because of Facebook Live.

Exactly. And one of the um you know, we have a booth there on the convention floor, the Truth Network does. And, you know, how fun is that? We get a chance to um To see such amazing people. But one of the people that's going to share the booth with us this year is a persecution project.

And so when you talk about international and you think about it, here are these guys, Brad Phillips and company, that literally are in the Darfur, facing unbelievable Um Horrific you know attacks On the church just constantly. You know, a Christian in the Darfur part of the Sudan Addison. But you might know that our own boss, Stu Epperson, went there a number of years ago to help drill waters, but they've just been constantly. Um, genocide, I guess is the word. Yeah.

Uh under attack. Um because the Muslims, they are just... Don't feel like the Christians have a right to live, or however that works exactly. But the cool thing is. That God is at work.

God has His hand right there, and He does that. And we have a chance to partner with that with a Persecution Project here at the NRB. And I can hardly wait because I know we will be interviewing them. And so. Is it Sort of a prelude to the NRB, we want to let you know, all our truth listeners, that on my Robbie Dilmore's.

Facebook feed and on Robbie Dilmore's Um the Christian Cargai Uh YouTube channel For all the convention, like starting tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock through 3 o'clock, that's m um central time.

So it'll be a 11 o'clock there in the East where where many of our listeners are. Um but of course if you're in the West you just adjust. But anyway, it's 10 o'clock Central Time till three o'clock Central Time. We'll be broadcasting on those those things live as well as doing another live show uh on Truth Talk Live. Um Across the network, but we'll be streaming all these interviews, and normally, um Honestly, I get...

I try to do 'em in seven or eight minutes. A piece, and I will be interviewing people from the time I sit down at 10 o'clock, clear through 3 o'clock. And they do let me have an hour for lunch, so it will probably go. Silent there around one o'clock if you're in Winston-Salem, but other than that, we will be streaming. All those interviews, again, on Robbie Dilmore's Facebook channel.

So friend me tonight if you want to watch that. I'll make sure that it gets you in there. And on my YouTube channel, which is Christian Carguy YouTube channel, or Robbie Dilmore's YouTube channel. It'll all be there.

So you've got a whole lot of NRB coming with Dr. Carson. We're going to be right back. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to True Talk Live.

Today we are live from Nashville at the National Religious Broadcast. Tennessee. That is Tennessee. Because there's a Nashville, North Carolina. This is the National Religious Broadcasters Convention.

You'll hear it referred to quite often as the NRB. But it's actually an international convention. And oh my goodness, I mean, they filled this convention center. It's.

something to see what God is doing around the world and and to Like, I can assure you that I will have my socks blown off tomorrow. What God is doing through different authors, what he is doing through different broadcasters, what he's doing through, you know, a lot of ministry that. You know, I just sit I don't know who's gonna sit down next in front of me. Whether it be a nutritionalist that's Teaching nutrition from the Bible, or, you know, I'll have, I think, Magandavada Dam. That is the Red Cross of Israel.

And oh my goodness, two years ago, three years ago, when. Uh Franklin Graham bought them a number of ambulances because their ambulances were you know, destroyed October 7th. And we saw those. And see, I'd interviewed those folks year in but they were never they never were all that Christians you could tell there was there was something between us. But boy, when Will did that, Franklin, I mean, excuse me, when Franklin did that.

And it was like they were a completely different towards us and they saw us as a connection that they did not realize that they had had. It was amazing. Again, to see the progress of what God's doing around the world, and we get a bird's eye view of that, and so I couldn't be more excited than to see what God's going to bring. You know, this year. Yeah.

So National Religious Broadcasters, I've heard of it, NRB. I hear about all these different things. Uh for our listeners, Robbie, this is my fourth. And I got involved with this because Stu Epperson, you got me involved with doing a thing called Date the Word, got me on the radio. And so, hey, you ought to come to the NRB.

I don't know what the NRB is.

So maybe there's some listeners out there. We need to maybe bring a little bit more enlightenment to them on how significant. the NRB is because um this is a loose group of people. This is no no one signed any this is not like the Southern Baptist Convention. You need to have that mindset.

Because my son with that. He goes, everybody has different... angles. Oh yeah.

Okay. Uh pretty much all the same Five fundamentals of the faith. But um There's a big Jewish population.

Okay, this can be true. And I can assure you, you know, depending on how some people feel about Catholicism, which, you know, they have a tremendous input both through the 40 Days for Life people. And then, you know, one of the neatest things, if you ever go to Israel from my standpoint in Israel, is the Magdala, a retreat center, which has the oldest... They have a synagogue from Jesus' time that has the Magdalen Stone in it, which is just beyond cool. And they have a real presence here.

So listeners, see how I just learned some things? Just by saying that to Robbie, I'm learning of the vastness of the NRB. But As far as Um, nineteen years you've been coming. I don't know if you know how old the NRB is. But it's been around quite a while.

But connecting in some ways it's like a trade show. Because you go from booth to booth to learn different things, and people often, I'm trying to get people to learn more about Date the Word. But there's a unifying component. We come together for a worship service each night. I call it that.

It's not really a worship service, but but there's worship. Oh, there'll be a they'll they'll definitely be an unbelievable it might be you know one year would be rc sproll back in the day or you know chuck swindl was there last year that we saw and david fairy has got a big role uh tonight right um and then you got michael w smith is going to be bringing the music i love michael w smith Uh they have breakouts. Um Shannon Bream, you may not recognize that name on Fox News. She loves the Lord, a devoted Christian. She's going to be here sharing in a special invite-only leadership dinner.

And she's a Liberty Grant.

So, someone for me that I've always been thrilled. You have no greater joy than to hear that your children walk in truth.

Well, she's walking in truth and wants to make the truth known.

So, she's going to be here.

So Robbie, through the years. Yes, you're doing the interviews. But at the same time, um Who's someone you've seen? That After you left, you were so glad. Because I can tell you right now, last year for me, Chuck Swindahl, I'm still living off of that one.

But who is someone that, boy, by being at the NRB, you were just. Wow and impacted by them. Can you narrow it down to one or two?

Well, I I can tell you that Um Meeting Charles Stanley. Oh. If you knew a little bit about the Christian Cargai story, within months of me getting on the air, Charles Stanley heard the Christian Cargai show and asked that they put it up on his Sirius 161 channel, which kind of launched me from being just a you know, local kind of person to all of a sudden I was talking to New York City, Mexico, all these places as the Christian Carr guy as a result of that, but I've never met you know, you've heard about him, you've seen him on T V and all this stuff.

Well, then all of a sudden you're in a meeting and oh my goodness, you know, i he's sitting down there talking to you like And and the grace, okay? It wasn't like you were talking to Charles Stanley. It was like I was talking to Doc. It was like, you know, I'm talking to a friend. Like he was very much that and very much interested in who I was and you know, not as a person, you know, not as a broadcaster, but just like this is Robbie.

And this is, you know, and I you know, that was remarkable to me. Uh, you know, it it really made an impact on my life. And of course, You know, David Jeremiah, for those who may not know, Stu is good, good friends with him.

So it's not unusual, really. Stu Epperson. Right. To sit down and have a breakfast with David Jeremiah here, which I've done two or three times. And, like, oh my goodness.

Again,. A a real person. Yeah. You know, Yeah. You've always been in awe.

In fact, for me personally, you know, way back years ago, when he did Escape the Coming Night, I can remember in the late 80s listening to that, traveling back and forth to the carpet, just like, man, I was so excited about that teaching that think that someday I would be sitting down to breakfast with him and like, what? How is this going to happen? You know, so that those kind of things are memories that I will always cherish, certainly. How do you see the NRB impacting culture?

Well, if Because You know, the people like me 20 years ago that are coming in and they're getting a chance to talk to people with the experience and go to the breakout sections and find out about podcasting and find out about, you know, how is it that I can bring the best to an interview? How is it that I can dig into my faith and at the same time you know, not fall victim to to l a a a lot of stuff that can happen to a broadcaster if they're not careful, right? Yeah. So there are some components here about making sure that we understand legality. I know they have breakout sessions for that.

One of the things I picked up on, like through Eric Metaxas, you learn. to understand the times. Because sometimes, you know, here we are today, right now in a room where we're talking, but when do you have that time to really research and know here's the hot buttons of the moment. And when we think about Nigeria. And we think about the Sudan.

We have Christian brothers that are being persecuted that we can easily in our little world forget about. We don't want to forget about them. Oh, absolutely.

So the NRB helps us shape our worldview.

So we are. Great guest coming up in the next couple segments.

So stay tuned. We got so much more coming up on Truth Talk Live, which is live from the NRB, the National Education Broadcaster Convention 2026. Stay tuned. We'll see you right back. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com.

Welcome back to Truth Talk Live. We are live from Nashville, Tennessee today. How exciting it really is as we are getting ready for another convention and always somebody new coming around the corner that you get to meet a ministry that you never weren't familiar with. And God has got them doing amazing things. And so such is the case for us right now.

We have Carl Kirby. He's with Reasons for Hope. And there's a lot of reasons for hope, but yours has an asterisk. Oh, yeah. We always have that asterisk after the name because that leads to the answer.

And there's only, I don't care if you put your hope in money, it can go away. Looks, trust me, they go away. I look a whole lot different now than I did 70 pounds ago, right?

So the asterisk leads to the answer, and that's Jesus. And so that's the one thing that will never leave you forsake you. And we can trust that completely. Yeah, and from what I understand, you guys have an apologetics ministry for youth and you guys are doing events right where you know I'm Yeah, you can't help it, Rim. And it's about Um Golly, Charlie Kirk.

Oh, yeah. I've done two events with Mr. Charlie. had dinner with them. Up in Wisconsin, we worked with youth up there.

Wonderful minister ministry up there called LEED Wisconsin, L E A D, and they're basically teaching the next generation to take their faith into the marketplace of ideas, specifically politics. And so he spoke on the political side and they had me come in on the worldview side.

So our ministry goes, it's for everybody. We do adults, we do young people, but primary emphasis is on the younger generation. And we do camps, like we'll have six of our own camps this summer where we'll be in Montana to Florida to Pennsylvania to Iowa. I mean, we're just spread out all over. And during our camps, man, we have 17 teaching sessions over five days because we'll speak in other camps during the week, right?

Or during the summer. And typically when they bring you in, they'll have you speak once in the morning, once in the evening. We're like, nah, this generation is under attack. We want them to walk out of here being able to give an answer for the reason, for the hope that lies within them. I think I read about doing that somewhere, right?

1 Peter 3.15. That's exactly right.

So we pour into them. That's kidding. That's right. That's right. We pour into them and we have fun with them.

But it's serious, man. We take it serious. And so, how cool?

Well, I bet you there's a bunch of young people listening right now across the country. Yeah. And we got a chance to.

So, can you give us a sample of what you share with them? Sure, sure. We partnered with Alex McFarland, by the way.

So, Alex, Truth for a New Generation. He's a good friend. I've done lots of stuff with him. And Reasons for Hope. We partner together to do the Equip retreats.

And if anybody wanted to just see more information, they can go to Equip. Retreat.org, and they'll see all six of them. It has all the speakers. We have a really diverse lineup, which is what I love. I mean, we bring a guy like Massey Campos in, who Oh, Bill Federer.

I'm sure you know Bill Federer. Phenomenal. Love him, right?

Well, Massey is a younger version and energy and really connects with the younger generation.

So what we would deal with, like it's essentially When we walk in, I'll hand out index cards. Day one. What are the questions keeping you from selling out for the Lord Jesus Christ? Write it down, turn it in. There's no limits.

I like that. What are the questions? Boy, it's a pot pri, but there's always the perennials, right? And I can say this: the questions that I get asked today are not the same as five years ago or ten years ago. And so I'd be hearing that the thought of that question, just to slow down for a second, is just like.

What is keeping you? Really? Totally. From being totally sold out. And let that sink down in your soul a little bit, because that's a great question.

And we get great responses, because what I'm finding is that people will tell us that the younger generation don't care. Not true. They care deeply, but what they're looking for is something that is real, makes sense. And is just, I mean, pretty straightforward. That's what I'm finding.

The more straightforward you speak with somebody, The better the responses they are.

So you ask what questions. Of course, you've got the death and suffering. Why would a loving God? That's been going and will probably go until the Lord comes back again. You have those.

What makes your book better than their book? That's the Bible-wise authority. But what we're getting now are many more of the. Why can't I love whoever I want to love?

Okay. Uh the gender issue. I mean it's absolutely a big issue.

So we c we've created a a series of videos and the co-creator here is with me, Bub over there. All right. Bub's the genius, the brains, the the voice that makes the thing happen, but they're anywhere from three to five minute, fast paced, animated. Going after the 2.2 second attention span gang, right? Yep.

Coming after him with animated but solid stuff. And so. Two episodes prior to the one that's out now dealt with that. There's only two genders debunked. And so we're taking on the tough issues that they bring up to us.

So, our books, we have books called Glad You Asked, because we are. We're so glad that you asked. Let's deal with it. We take those let's deal with it. Like what do you tell them?

As far as, you know, in that video, can you kind of give us the underlying message that you would deliver to somebody that's saying, why can't I love, you know, another gender? You know, these people were born this way after all. It would be what they would tell you. And we would address that and say, that's not true. That's absolutely a lie that you are not born that way.

And by the way, let's be generous here. Even if you were born with a propensity to sin, aren't we all? Yes, that's a great answer. I have a propensity to sin because I'm a sinner. Every one of us are that.

Doesn't mean that you necessarily have to follow out the desires. You're not an animal. You are a human being created in the image of God, fearfully, wonderfully made, literally knit together in your mother's womb.

So you do not have to act out on your desires. Because if we get to that stage, which is what the world is trying to teach us, is that, oh, there is no God. You know, we're all here given enough time, right circumstances, so therefore we are just animals. And that means I can't withhold these things. It's just natural.

No, it's sin.

So we would address that. That Bub did a great job scientifically. Let's address it scientifically. Let's go talk about Y chromosome. Let's talk about mitochondrial DNA.

What do those things show? Let's take a look at definitions.

So there's a historical aspect.

So we try to cover it in a comprehensive way so that. You're free to do these things. This is the amazing thing about our God. You're free to do it, but I have to love you enough to tell you that there's consequences to the actions that you're taking. And true love is not going to stand by silently allowing you to live a life that is going to separate you from a holy God and pat you on the back and tell you that you're okay.

I have to tell you there's consequences because I genuinely care. knowing that you might reject me, but I'm willing to accept that. Right, and it's a beautiful thing. And so how do you how do you get the young people to attend?

Well, uh we are on the road. I mean, I'm on the road last year two hundred and fifteen days speaking everywhere. We've got three other speakers that are on the road. Alex helps broadcast uh the meetings on AFR. and uh puts the word out there with with all of his constituents.

But uh It's really a lot of it is word of mouth because now, say, Pennsylvania, we've had to move from New Jersey. Because we sold that camp out. And so we moved to a bigger camp in Pennsylvania and we're already sold out. We didn't book enough space. And it's because they come, and the same thing happened in Montana.

They come, and the next year you see more, and you see more, and it just grows because the young people, once they've experienced it, Man, they're they're our best uh marketers. They're going and getting their friends to come. There's something about being a young person when you do know the answer. Then you want to make sure everybody else knows the answer to be in the know. And that's where the devil has kept so many blinded.

And apologetics is given them the reason for what they do believe. And then all of a sudden, you don't feel like something's wrong with me. No, I have a real reason for what I hold to. Amen. That's a very powerful key because once it's it's kind of like I I did martial arts a long time ago, another life, right?

And what we found is that when you get young people in and you teach them The ability to be able to defend themselves, they no longer had to go out and prove it. And we saw that over and over again.

Well, I think the same thing is true in Christianity. I don't have to go out and holler and yell and scream at everybody. When I know the reason for the hope that lies within me, and I know the consequences of rejecting that, I'm going to have a heart that is willing to say, I got to go out here out of love, not out of meanness, not out of spite, not to show you how smart I am, but because we genuinely care. And it will impact the way that you interact with others. Beautiful.

Why why did you come to the NRB? This is our first time, you know, and I'll be very honest with you. I can't tap dance on the question because Alex and his assistant, Kim, I'm very good friends with them, and they said, Carl, you got to come to the NRB. And I was like, Man, I'm so busy on the road just doing ministry. They said, No, you got to come.

So I'm here because Alex said you got to come. Good for Alex because. You know, h his heart is that, you know, the the connections that you will write? Yeah. So that was I guess that my question would be what are you looking for then since Alex said come, 'cause I'm in my thir I'm fourth year.

Robbie's in his nineteenth year. And before you got here, we were just talking about Because we've got listeners right now, NRB, what is that?

So, as you come in and just arriving here, right, what's it already been like, and what are you anticipating? You know, I walked into the. the area where all the vendors are and it's like, okay, This is amazing. That's a massive room with anything and everything. Right across from us are the little sheep guys.

And that looks, I'm like, man, that looks interesting because, again, my heart is going after younger generations. I want stuff that's outside of the box. I actually just finished a five-comic book series.

Okay. I'm trying anything to communicate real. godly principles, but in a way that you're going to get their attention.

So I'm I don't really fully know what to expect. Uh I'm going to Talk with people and see where the Lord opens the doors. We're interviewing some folks. We were blessed enough that we had some people that want to come in, and Brandon did a great job of pulling them together. I'm looking forward to just meeting and seeing 'cause the body of Christ is so diverse and that's what I love.

It's a very diverse thing. And when I can find somebody, I don't want to work with people like me. I I'm no good. I've got to find somebody that have those other gifts. And so I'm hoping that in this whole...

time that I'm here that we'll we'll find some people that have a gift that kind of comes alongside and we can share the Lord Jesus Christ with even more people.

So I'm guessing just You know, based on the fact that Alex and Stu are like best buddies, and that you got invited by Stu to come on today. You had a chance to meet Stu. Is this your first time in that? Brandon is the guy that really got me in because Brandon and Stu are buddies. And I've only talked with Mr.

Stu on phone. I don't know that I've ever met him in person. Again, I am so happy. He has not met him in person then. Because if you have, you will never, ever forget that experience.

I was going to say, you've made a connection. Believe me that at some point in time, you know, if you happen to be in Salt Lake City or some of those other places, we've already saved. Right. That's where I got saved: Salt Lake City. Really?

Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. It was crazy. Lived out there.

I thought I was a Christian. I was 26 and thought I was a Christian because I was raised with a stand-up, sit-down, kneel, offering plate. I knew ritual, but I didn't know Jesus. I love it. And when I got out there, man, a guy named Lowell Lundstrom, which you guys might remember, but most of the younger people don't have a clue.

He traveled for over 50 years out west mainly doing Lowell Lundstrom family revivals, and he came to Salt Lake City for the first time ever in May 1987. University of Utah Huntsman Center. I took my brother there because he needed to hear the message. He preached the gospel. I got saved.

Listen to that. Yeah, how cool is that? I hope Russ East is listening because we, you know, our station manager in Utah, you'll meet him on the floor.

Okay. We need to meet you guys. Thank you for listening. We're going to be back with one more segment of Truth Talk Live. Stay tuned.

We're live from the NRB Nashville 2026. We'll be right back. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to Truth Talk Live. What an exciting event we're having right this very moment as Stu Efferson himself just walked into the room.

Pretty exciting. He curled. He curled the room up. Yeah, he did. And he walked in.

The anointing. And so it's pretty cool. Apparently, we have this connection with... Carl and you, but it it happened through Alex McFarlane. Right now, me and so Stu, I'm sure that everybody in the audience would love to hear from you.

Well, I was walking down the hall minding my own business and I opened up the truth app. Because the gay Lord can't pick up any of the Truth Network radio stations, and I hear you guys talking about me behind my back. And so I'm able to be talking about you in front of my back. And this apologetics juggernaut guy right here who loves Jesus and is sharing the gospel through all kinds of different ways.

So, yeah, just God brings us together. And that's what NRB is all about. It's about an introduction. No one is here today without introductions. Think about it.

That's right. There's your wife right there, Robbie.

Someone introduced you guys. Go find that person and say, Thank you, Lord, for bringing this Proverbs 31 woman into my life. You know, so. God is in the process of connecting people through divine appointments, NRB. Thousands of people in this building.

Exhibitors, people from all over the place. I just hugged Nick Vulajack. He has no arms, no legs. He's spreading Jesus all over the world. They're doing a movie about him.

They're showing it tomorrow. We prayed with him. I got a little video, a little selfie. I thanked him for being a bright witness. Amen.

I just interviewed a man who's blind who just wrote a book called Blind Faith, a pastor who has more spiritual eyesight than I think I've ever had. I mean, this guy loves Jesus and he's blind, but he's pointing people to the light. And that's been your passion, hasn't it, Carl? Just trying to point people to Christ. Amen, man.

And especially to the Word, because if you can get them to accept the Word and trust the Word, then good things can happen. Because unfortunately, the tact that I see in our culture is that. What do I build my faith on? And we've allowed the world to undermine their ability to be able to trust God's word. And so, when you can't trust it, well, if you can't trust Genesis 1, how do you sell out for John 3:16?

And so, Satan has been smart to cause doubt. It's the tool he used in the beginning, it's the tool he's using today.

So, how do we help people to overcome their doubt and trust God's word? Then they can. Blow up in their faith.

Well, the inner thy word giveth light. And giveth understanding. Dr. Carson, that's why I date the word so important. That's why we're doing.

pointing people to the word. Which is what does the work. Yeah, the word does the work. That's the key. And you've got to hide it in your heart.

And then, as we were just talking during the break, you've got to move from that memorization. It's got to be the application. Jesus had scripture memorized so that when Satan brought the temptation, he quoted back, not just giving a quote, but here's what God's word says: I believe it, I will obey it. And that's part of the transformation of our lives. Application brings transformation.

I say yes to God's word. Amen. What would you say your vision is for where God wants to use your ministry in this next season? Absolutely younger generation. If I never had to talk to old folk again, I'd be good with it.

But I love you, old folk. I really do. I'm just messing with you. But we need this younger generation. And I think that.

The murder of Charlie Kirk has opened doors that weren't there. I mean, that's just reality. I've had more conversations with the 20s and that age range than previously, big time. And so I'm actually trying to do more of the youth type outreach, the camp setting, because what I find is that when you, and also the college, I'm teaching at Faith Baptist Bible College, because when you get that five days, eight hours a day with them, it's no longer just a dog and pony show, do a thing and disappear.

Now I get to do life with them. And so I want to do more of that stuff. I'm on the downhill slide, man. I want to do more of the mentorship, training, discipleship type stuff. Yeah, and there's people that...

actually vote Younger people that are voting for all their own reasons. Absolutely. They're voting because maybe they're angry. Maybe uh The economy could be doing great, but they just think socialism is the thing and communism. And everywhere socialism and communism has gone, because it's an anti-God construct, what's happened?

Well, they've l I I tell everybody, uh well, and it I should say this, I use an illustration, I'll pe ask people, How tall am I? Oh, six foot, six foot three and I'm like, No, you're dead wrong. I'm actually eleven foot tall and I bring up my ruler and it's a Half, you know, six inch, but it's got all 12 inches on it. I say, I'm see, measure me, I'm 11 foot tall. What's wrong with that?

Your ruler's no good. Who do you think you are, you closed-minded, intolerant, bigoted, opinionated hick? You're trying to jam your ruler down my throat. I use that line because that's what they use on us.

So we might as well get that out of the way, right? Let's get it out of there. And so it's like, look, if you want to know if something is true or not, you better have a definition. And a definition for truth is: truth is that which has fidelity to an original.

So as a Christian, what is my original? What am I holding what I think, what I believe up to? And if it's not the Word of God, then everybody's holding their own rulers, and we're never going to be able to have any kind of conversations with people.

So I challenge them on truth. And Christians, especially, if you're not allowing God's Word to be your source of truth, you're going to end up where we are today. That's reality. Wow. And that's why we're here.

That's why we're celebrating this great week with all kinds of truth tellers, doing it in all kinds of different ways. You know, five billion people are slated to watch the World Cup. Yeah. Campus Crusade has got a whole ministry. To those five billion people.

Here's good. And they are telling the truth in that way.

So there's so many positive things like you're doing, engaging in a gracious way. And Robbie, I'm going to hand this mic back to you because you're going to give us a little foretaste of what to expect this week. It's going to get this is the quietest this show will ever be, right, Robbie? It's not going to get much required. Doc, you're going to be getting a lot of birthdays and a lot of verses.

I mean, this isn't your first NRV rodeo. Tell us how excited you are about this week while I pass this to Robbie. Listen, we've already been telling people their birthday verse. We're doing birthday verse evangelism today at Walmart. We get to share the gospel with one of the ladies.

And again, it's just a thrilling place to connect. And as I was listening to you, Carl, all I could think about is for us in this room, except for Stuart, he's getting there though. Psalm 71:18.

Now, when I am old and gray-headed, oh God, do not forsake me until I declare your strength to this generation, your power to everyone who is. to come. There's a passion at the NRB. Yes, there's a lot of us with some gray hair. But you pick up a passion of we want the next generation to know the hope.

And, Carl, what is the hope? The hope is Jesus Christ, man, that his word is true and trustworthy from the very beginning, and that he came and he did what he said that he did the way that he said that he did it, which means he's going to do what he said he's going to do. And we have hope in that. And there may be a listener right now, Robbie, that needs some hope. Yeah, and I got to tell you that that Reasons for hope.

How do people get to your website, find out about your events? Thank you. It's R. F-O-R-H, R-4-H.com and our app. That's the thing that I would tell people to get.

Just look for R4, F-O-R-H. You'll see a blue asterisk on a black background. And I'm telling you, there's hours of free content. It's everything on there. All of our debunked videos, debunked TV, a podcast that we do called The Debunked Files.

That's all on there. We have a Just for Kids section. We have a massive amount of stuff up there. Our radio spots. We have those up there.

There's over 200 of them up there right now. We're just, and we give it all the way free. We just want people to have tools so that they will be willing to go out and open their mouth and share Jesus Christ with somebody and not be ashamed. Yeah, it's so cool. And so awesome that we get a chance to talk with you, you know, pre-kind of the convention.

And Stu said, boy, this is the quietest you will hear this broadcast because we will be on the convention floor starting at 10 o'clock tomorrow at Central Time, and it will be wide open. Let me assure you. I'm always thankful I've had these headphones off. Yeah. Because it.

Blocks out all the other stuff that's going on because, you know, it's just a huge event, what God's doing around the world, and we get a chance to. You know, connect with all these people in the midst of it. And so, absolutely beautiful. What you got there?

Now, I just, I, Dwayne, 65 years of age, just downloaded an app, Reasons for Hope. You can do this. Tell them again how they download the app. R F O R H stands for Reasons for Hope. You could type out Reasons for Hope, but I'm lazy.

R-F-O-R-H. And then you'll see the blue asterisk in the black background. And for a Facebook, that's what it looks like. And it's loaded. The gospel, creation, culture, things to be debunked, dinosaurs, equip.

It's even in Spanish. Yeah. And then evangelism, how to share your faith. Yeah, and Stu just gave you some Dewey ginger spice. Dewey.

So you gotta show Alex this box 'cause he'll relate to it being that he is from Greensboro. Oh, okay. Did you know that? Yeah, I know he's from Greensboro. I didn't know that uh Dewey's was.

Oh, but this this is a Actually, Winston-Salem, but Greensboro, Winston-Salem, my point, is kind of called the triad. You know, Alex is kind of a car guy. We've been good friends for years, and so I think it's really neat. But the thing about Alex, you know, when we're talking about personalities that you'll meet, people that are well known. I would say you'd be pretty hard f Okay.

Put to find somebody with the grace Alex McFarlane has. Oh, yeah. When you're sitting in front of Alex, you are his best friend, and he wants to know about your family. His wife, again, the same way, just really, really awesome people.

So, how in the world did you meet Alex? This is crazy. I was. Flying, I was in Atlanta airport and I'm sitting there to catch my flight and I look over and I see Alex. And I'd never met him personally.

I'd just heard and I'd read his book, the one with the the red X on the front. I can't remember the title, but it was very, very powerful. It's got a bl it's a black cover red X on it. And I just walked up and said, Hey, Alex, I'm Carl Kirby and And I knew the title at that time because it was a lot closer to the time of reading. And I read this and I just wanted to say thank you, brother.

And he was like, man, I know you, da, da, da, da, da, da. And we just struck up a friendship. And it's been like that over the years. But it was about three, four years ago where we said, let's get something a little bit more official. with this younger generation.

So we teamed up and uh equip Retreats were going, been going for a long time, but he became more of a key part of it. And it's just been an amazing relationship because he is just a super gracious guy, as you said. Yeah, that's it right there. The gift card popped up, though. Oh, no.

There you go, Dwayne. The ten most common objections to Christianity. Yep, that's it. What are they?

Well, oh the types, you're gonna have to come back for another show. Come on, you can't just... That was the name of Alex's book, by the way. That's what they were talking about. And he's read it, so he knows the answers.

You can find out if you get Alex's book. But again, we're going to have so much fun this week. We're so glad you tuned in today. We'll be back tomorrow with a whole lot more from NRB 2026. Thank you.
