Who is truly great According To Jesus. Because some of you just heard That Lady's name for the first time.
Some of you didn't even know she existed. 4'11. Forty years plus she Was a intricate part of our family. serving my dad, my mom, our whole family. in so many ways.
as I guess the Executive or the business nomenclature designation would be is my dad's secretary. But Cindy did so much more. My Bible verse for twenty twenty six Is Thanks to Doctor Date the Carson word. Date the word Carson. And him teaching me to kind of connect the Bible with the brain, with the dates, and the numbers is Matthew 20:26.
which says It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you, Must be your sermon. I'm going to keep reading. and whoever would be first among you must be your slave. even as the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve and give his life.
as their ransom for many. Do you think Jesus Christ was great? Do you think that the ones that he designates in the category of great and greatness? would be worthy of considering And contemplating and discussing and having a radio show about right here and right now. I'm Stu Upperson.
And I'm talking about great people today on the show. I want you to call in. Tell me about someone great. I want you to say their name out loud. Maybe I won't recognize it.
That's okay. They will be heralded in heaven. Because of their greatness. Just like Cindy. who was great.
Maybe the greatest person in her whole family. Wait a minute What about Big Stew? I mean Radio Hall of Fame. North Carolina Radio Hall of Fame, all the awards, all the stations that he and Uncle Ed put on the air, all the things. I mean, just this amazing son of his, you know, that he helped bring in the world.
And what about mom? And, well, Some Sometimes you gotta think about The Biblical Definition of Greatness. And When you think about that as I sat through two services honoring this saintly lady, Who just served, who just loved, who just cared, who prayed. I think that lady was great. Who is great in your life?
I want to hear their name. Was it a coach? Was it a friend? A colleague? The family member?
Someone that uh Like Cindy, who wouldn't want to be heard about, she would be aghast. If she knew I was talking about her on a national radio show today. Oh, my soul, she'd be horrified. But guess what? She's in heaven.
She can't do anything about it.
So. We're going to do something about it. We're going to celebrate greatness. According to To Jesus Christ and what he says.

And in the process, it got me to my calling where I became a minister. And if it wasn't for her and her prayers, I don't know where I would be right now. I thank God every day for who she is, the woman of God, her faith, her love. And yes. just caring enough about me to want something great for me, and I'm grateful.
Wow, so she prayed for you. I love I love the language spiritual godmother. I just love that because Cindy, who who just has just inspired me to do this program today, She didn't have any kids. She wasn't married. The funny thing about that, her last name was Manoring, M-A-N-R-A-N-G.
And we always joked, and she joked, I wonder if one day a man will bring me a ring. You know, but Tawanda. You had a godmother. And she Sister Green prayed for you, and now you're serving Christ. What a blessing!

Spiritual Godmother made a difference in her life. Who is great in your life? Nancy? Hampton, Ohio, 106.5 FM. Nancy, you are on Truth Talk Live.
Tell us who's great. Shout 'em out. I have two friends. They're it's a couple. uh genie and don hubbard he is a retired pastor He's a retired, also he was a Christian school teacher.
And these two have helped me through so much. They are the most dedicated Christians They are always giving to ever anything they can. I've never Seeing people that just continually Are handing out and doing for others. And they are just super. They've made such an imprint on my life.
They've affected my follow in faith. I've come a lot closer to God in the last 20, 30 years of our friendship, and I'm so thankful for them. I really, truly am. They are a gift from God. Praise the Lord.
Just took an interest in you.
Now, are you blood relatives? No, we're not. I actually started working with her, and we worked together for thirty years. She's she still works. They're both in their seventies.
But no. I mean, there's there's those people in your life that you know That they helped you through your walk in faith, and they are two of the. Most precious people that have done it for so many people, so many others, they're always helping somebody. They have somebody now that they're trying to help. Still serving God in their 70s, not retiring, but reinvesting and multiplying in people like Nancy.
Nancy, thank you for that call. God bless you. Call in and tell us who's made you great. We got a celebrity caller coming up next after this break who's going to tell us his great person, who's great according to Jesus in your life. 866-34-TRUTH.
Hang on. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. In a world of celebrities, rock stars, folks that have all kinds of folks. Flocking to them, celebrating them, social media stars, all these. You can be a star like overnight.
Just say, give a sound bite, and next thing you know, everyone knows your name. Even in the church, have you noticed? We have kind of these celebrity superstar. Pastors and evangelists tell evangelists whatnot. Many don't pursue that, but that's what ends up happening.
Sometimes we over-enshrine people. Let's go back to what Jesus said about greatness. Who is really great in God's eyes? And I'll quote you the verse that was inspired, of course. By one of my mentors, Dr.
Data word Carson. My verse for the new year is Matthew 20, 26. The Lord. Really Burn this verse on my heart, solidified it so that it's what I mark, put all in all my emails. I put it in a lot of my correspondence.
In the verse basically, he says, Jesus says, it shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant.
Now, what did he say before that, you know, parachuting into Matthew 20? Jesus called out.
So, what's going on is the two brothers, James and John. You know, the mother of the sons of Debut came to Jesus and said, Look. She says, I want my boys to have a prime spot. We want them to have prime-time seating, courtside seats in heaven. on either side of you at the throne, the right hand and the left, And such, well, the ten heard it, the other ten of the twelve heard it, verse 24 of Matthew 20, and they were indignant, they were mad, they were angry.
The two brothers, Jesus said. You know that the rulers of the Gentiles It's the pagan world. They lorded over them. They are all about climbing that ladder. They're all about.
The the the s the the the Levels And the hierarchy And the great ones exercise authority over them, but he says, verse 26, it shall not be so among you. Followers of Christ, His children, His sheep, Whoever would be great among you, how are you great, Jesus? Must be your servant. And he goes on with that. It's very powerful.
Those are the words of Christ, so greatness according to Jesus may just not be. How we define greatness. And it's real important to go back to his word. And it's a challenge to all of us, especially. When you lose someone so close to your family.
This sweet lady would take me to basketball practice. She would make my pregame meals. She would even massage my shooting arm before games so I could hit those three pointers at Mount Tabor. She would read a scripture. She was like the the the older Sister, the aunt, the second mom, the mom number two we never had, Cindy is who I'm honoring today because she was someone in my life that was great.
According to Jesus. And the mark oh, if you saw the tears, the the overflow of people at her s both funeral services, one at her home church. She grew up in Gibsonville, North Carolina, just outside Greensboro, Alamance County, Burlington. And the other one at the church she's been attending, West Haven Baptist pastor, did a great job. My mom spoke, quoted some scripture with my two sisters, Catherine and Karen.
They both spoke. My daughter, Hope, did a great job. Other friends of Cindy spoke. It's just about her encouraging words, her smile. Her sense of humor.
But most importantly, everyone she touched and contacted, including my little grandkids and my kids, she. made better. She made great, and that's not a mark of greatness.
So, we're taking your calls. Who in your life is great? Who were the cine's in your life that were great? That made you better, that pushed you closer to the Lord, that you want to shout out on this show publicly. A show about greatness today on Truth Talk Live.
I'm Stu Upperson in the seat. Welcome to your calls. We're going to go to a celebrity caller. I'm going to give the number. For those of you who just joined us, you just popped in the conversation.
It's 866-348-848. 7884 lines are open right now. 86634 TRUTH. Who in your life? We got a godmother that's been great in the life of Tawanda who called earlier from Greenville.
We have a couple, a godly couple, aging in their 70s. who are pouring in to Nancy. What about your story? Who is great in your life according. To Jesus.
86634 Truth.
We have. A Dr. Carson, that name is really familiar. Dr. Carson, are you there?
I am here, sir. You like that verse for the new year? You inspired me, sir, to think biblically about my new year's resolutions. Wow, I I love that verse. I love that verse.
Now I'm going with Leviticus. 2026 that's Calling me to be holy because God is holy, and you shall be holy to me, for I am the Lord am holy, and have separated you from the peoples that you should be mine. But I love Matthew 20, 26, no question about it. Um and and this Oh, the way you are honoring your sweet friend right now. I just love it.
She. He made such a difference by doing the things that Jesus did. Loving our people and um And when you uh Started this show. I just immediately. Thought about Bill and Bernie Crawford.
Nobody knows their name. They live on a farm out.
Well, Bill's in heaven now, and I think Mrs. Crawford is. Maybe getting closer to heaven, but they live at a farm out Goss Mill, Virginia. But when I was starting to make a a decision to follow Price, they took me into their home. And I can still see it through when Mrs.
Crawford invited me to sit in at the kitchen table, and she brought me a piece of cake and a cup of coffee. And then Bill sat down and told me to open my Bible to Psalms one. And that was the beginning of just incredible. Love and ministry, and uh, you know, I had a chance to work with Dr. Jerry Falwell, I got the chance to work with Dr.
W.A. Chriswell. Tom Melzoni. I I've had some wonderful men of God. But Whenever there was I'm not sure.
What To believe Not sure what the Bible says. I called Bill. And it didn't matter what time it was, I called him. And all right, let's unpack the scripture. Let's look and see what God has to say.
Amen. He told me to study to show myself approved. And. And I'm telling you, some of the sweetest times of my life have just been sitting in their home. at eight o'clock when they led family devotions.
And they just loved on me and I just want to say Bill and Bernie Crawford, a name that No one knows, but God does, and I am eternal grateful for them.
Well, I'm going to tell you something that, Dr. Carson, I'm so glad you called because I want people. Yeah. Just take this in. Dr.
Dwayne Carson, Dr. Date the Word Carson, who's got an amazing ministry called Date the Word. I believe you're hosting this show later this week, which I always love hearing you host. You do such a good job, it's such a blessing. Dr.
Carson, you got your own show, you've you know, you've you've got this feature and all that. But people hear you and they're like, man, this guy's amazing. How does he do all this? How did he become so great?
Well, I think we just discovered the secret to your greatness, Dr. Carson.
Some great folks that No one's ever heard of, but they've heard of them now, right? Yes, sir. What a blessing. And you need people like that in your life because sometimes you want to believe the headlines. And uh I learned from Bill and Bernie about humility and humble service.
And I wasn't the only one. I just want you to know, I wasn't the only person. That they brought into their home and loved on and put them on a path to serving God. Wow. I was just one of many.
Oh man, I tell you, you want a successful church, marriage, family. Successful team, sports team. You get a hold of a concept of greatness. According to Jesus, Dr. Carson, that changes everything, doesn't it?
Yeah, it's not about titles. It's about towels. Oh, my soul. Tell everyone how that came about because. We were a part of a golf thing that was Energize Ministries.
I was putting on to raise money for pastoral ministry. Can you hold on? You got to tell this story about the towels. In the meantime, I'm inviting everyone to call in and shout out someone in your life who is great according to Jesus. Give a shout out and tell us why.
You are walking with them because of their impact, their influence. 866-34-TRUTH, 866-34THRUTH. 3-4-8. 7884. Don't touch that dial.
More coming up on Greatness According. to the master. You're listening to The Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. That's what you do. Find joy in the little things and you'll find that if you live like Cindy, you'll be living a lot like Jesus.
What's the So that's the the Beautiful angelic voice of my daughter Hope, who Got up in front of a whole lot of people. At the service, and said, Hey, at four months old, I met Cindy. My parents. put me in her arms. And that started a relationship Where Cindy had a uh a will Well, you know, there's all kinds of stuff like, you know, things that people write out in in terms of how they want to be remembered.
But one thing she made specific, she wrote out, was that at my funeral celebration of life, I want hope. to share a word. And to say whatever she wants to say. And so Hope got up and just spoke and spoke some things that the other grandkids shared just about how much they love Cindy and they loved her hugs. They loved her care.
They loved her rushing homework up to the. To the school, picking them up, taking them to dental appointments, all those things.
So many things that. We don't put in the category of greatness, but Jesus does. He says, Those who are great. Are those who serve?
So I'm asking this question all hour long to honor this saintly lady. If you just joined us, I'm Stu Everson.
So glad you're here with us on Truth Talk Live. Who is great? In your life, according to Jesus. Who is that great person? Maybe as Dr.
Carson's on with us right now, he's sharing. They shared the name of a couple, Bill and Bernie, that were great. They impacted him. They took him in. They discipled him.
They were there for him. They poured Christ in him long before he had a date the word counter, which I just gave one to Doctor Jeremiah recently. before that calendar ever existed, before that was even in the mind of doctor Carson, not his heart to do Dr. Carson? Bill and Bernie.
We're pouring into you, discipling you. And you have. God has used you to do some great things, brother. God has used you to bless and inspire me. Talk to me, Dr.
Carson.
You came up with this towel. What does the towel say? Why is that important that we get this? We're going to go some more calls, but I want you to share why that's important that we get this right in the faith, especially, believers in Lord Jesus Christ, on greatness according to Jesus Christ.
Well, the one who taught what greatness was practiced it. You know, Jesus was observing the Passover with his disciples. They got into an argument over who is the greatest. And um he had to teach them. Guys, one more time, I'm letting you know if you want to be great in my kingdom, you become the servant of all.
But then he got up, you tied Luke 22 to John 13. He got up, took a towel, and he washed their feet. And from that, I just created a statement. And if it's original with me, I doubt it. But I made a statement in a chapel at Liberty one time.
It's not about titles, it's about towels. And it just connected. And all of a sudden, it just brought about a whole spirit of servanthood. And I had one man always saying, I got the towel. I got the towel.
And it just became a way of thinking, a culture. It's, you know. Pick up trash. Don't think someone else is supposed to do it. You do it.
Be a help to someone who needs help at that moment. And it's not about titles. about towels. That's the master. He served his disciples hours before he would die.
Isn't that something serving all the way then and serving us all on the cross as he made atonement for our sin? What a blessing he was. In fact, in the passage. He says that the Son of Man came. Yeah.
to be served, but to serve. And to give his life a ransom for many. This is a powerful message as he is commissioning us. to go be great according to him. To be great is the low way, the low the way of service, the way of being a foot washer.
Not titles, but towels. Dr. Carson, thank you for being a blessing in my life, man. You're something else, man. Thank you.
Appreciate you calling in. We're going to go to uh DateTheWord.com is his site. Check out all his amazing ministry there. Support his ministry. Order the calendar for the new year.
You'll love it. Elliot's on the line, has a little word he wants to share about, I believe about Cindy, who I'm honoring, by the way, with this show today because she's someone who is great. In my life, according to Jesus. And that's the best definition, by the way. Elliot, jump on in here.
Hi, yes. Hello. I was just calling just to talk about Cindy. I d I saw Cindy forty hours a week. Oh wow.
For many, a number of years, and she was just kind. She had the patience of Job. She taught me about everything I know about how to how to serve others. Uh how to model Christ. Um And you know, I I came to know Cindy.
At a very low point in my life, and she never once threw it in my face. She was always kind. And always pointed me back to Jesus and the cross. Wow. I miss my friend, but thankful.
Thankful for her, thankful for her involvement in my life.
Well, I know. We can hear it in your voice and your heart. You know, it's interesting you say that because. people that are truly great Who Our servants and have this greatness according to Jesus. They don't look down on people.
And of course, Corsinius at 4-11, she didn't look down on many people. She looked down on a couple of younglings, you know, and whatnot. But. But she She didn't tower or she didn't even hold her prestige. I mean It's funny, you know, what do these people have in common?
Governor Huckabee. I could name two presidents, maybe three. And some big-time senators, heads of state. I could just list some big-time celebrities. From Bob Hope all the way down.
Others, let me tell you what they all had in common. They had to go through Cindy. To talk to my dad.
Now, in some cases, the I ended up getting a call because my dad and I have the same names too, Everson. But she made sure she connected. Big Stew with some pretty important deals.
Some radio stations that would not be on the air all across America today. Had she not done her role in getting those things right. In serving in such a way, someone at the service, you may have heard this if you were there, said that she was like a glue person, just kind of a glue that held us all together.
So, thank you for your call. God bless you, man. What a testimony. Let's go to I got another line, a Nancy Epperson, that name sounds kind of familiar. Is this Mama?
It's mama. Yes, it is.
Well, I gotta tell you, Mama, you did a wonderful job quoting scripture. And Cindy was one of your quoting partners, I know that, because she helped quiz you as you memorize chunks of the Bible. But, mom, you shared at the service some pretty profound things. What, you know, I'm asking this all hour long. Who is great according to Jesus in your life?
And I'm so glad you called in. Maybe you could share a little bit about this great lady. This great woman of God who was in our family 40 plus years. I don't want to take up your whole hour, which I could certainly do. I'll try to keep it brief, but Let me just say Jesus said if any of you would be great Let it first be a servant.
And I think that's the best description of Cindy. She was a real servant. and she just had a heart to serve And there was no task too menial. There was no task she couldn't tackle. She was a can-do it person.
And She was just uh truly amazing. And we just We just love your family. She just she's with us over forty years. and she just served in so many capacities. She was truly a jack of all trades.
I mean, it was amazing. The range of duty she had And if there was a job that had to be done, It didn't matter what it was. If it was lifting boxes, I'd tell her, Cindy, don't lift those boxes. You know, let a man do that. Oh, no, I'll get it done.
And she just move them. Whatever had to be done, she would do it. and nothing was beneath her And uh she She was just a spark plug.
So much fun. Such a blessing. And I don't want to keep others from commenting, so I'll end this, but I just we miss her more than words can say. Such a a wonderful Part of our family, really.
Well, and that's a you know, that's a real testimony. And we're all kind of getting teared up here as we think about Cindy because she just was always there. You know, and I go by the house and I think, okay, where's Cindy? We we need something done. Where is she?
And when she was off on a holiday, We still wanted to call her. Say, where is this? And what do we do about this? But just an amazing solutions person, but a really. Really, uh you know we all Are so better, so much closer to God, and so many things have happened right.
Because God put her In our life.
So, mom, thank you for that. Thank you for sharing. It was really neat to hear from you and some of the family and some of her friends, her church family, they loved her. She took copious notes of every sermon. The pastor would call her and say, Hey, can you give me a little.
Update on the notes, and if he ever needed a reference or if he needed to recall something he said that he couldn't bring to front of mind, she. serve people. She would leave work early some days and take food down to the food kitchen. And uh but mom, thank you and uh thank you for sharing that. And we're gonna We're going to miss her, but God's.
She's with Bigs too, right? And she is in the presence of the Lord. And so. A great one indeed in God's eyes. Thank you, mom, for calling in.
You're so precious. Honey, thank you. Thank you for doing this to honor her. Yes.
So that's the question. And it's always good to hear from mom. The question to you is: who is great in your life? Who. According to Jesus.
Has been great. in your life You are better for this person being alive. This person has served you. We've heard about couples, we've heard about godmothers, we've heard about all kinds of people. Of course, I'm honoring someone who is.
great in my life. And It's nice to be able to back this up with Scripture. You know, heaven, I think there's going to be some surprises. I think those who are really heralded and celebrated. We think it's It's not in that is it going to be?
How many likes and shares and follows they had on social media? How many people packed out the stadium to hear that? I think we're going to be. Celebrating the people that Coordinated that stadium, that booked the stadium, that the water jar carrier in Luke. We don't know his name.
We just know there wouldn't have been a Last Supper, a Lord's Supper, a communion. A great feast with Jesus, who was the Bread of life. There wouldn't have been that if there hadn't been this water jar carrier guy. who just served if faithfully took them to their accommodations. Jesus said, find this guy.
He was at his post doing his job. And I want to hear from you in just a few minutes we have left on this show. We can take a couple more calls. If you'd like to say A shout out, a tribute to someone great according to Jesus in your life. The number's eight six six three four truth twenty.
Tolfrey eight six six Three four eight 7884 is our toll-free number. Nationwide Giving shout outs and tributes to great people According to Jesus, Kind of piggyback on that, piggybacking on that verse that God put on my heart for the new year. Matthew 2026. I'll read it again. In 2026, it shall not be so among you, but whoever will be great among you.

Hang on. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. In her arms at four months old, and we never looked back. Apparently, according to her, I was the only person she would go to I would go to besides my mother. I didn't want my dad.
Sorry. I would cry until they put me in Cindy's arms. She used to have to hide when I spent time with other people because I would want her. according to Cindy. Most of the time I walked into Mimi and Papa's house, I'd run into her office and she'd go, shh, you go say hi to your grandparents and then you come back in here.
And I'd say, okay.
So I'd run and say hi to them. I'd run back in her office and I was so excited to see her. She'd give me the biggest hug and then I'd look around and I'd start looking for the vanilla wafers.
So, some words from my daughter, Hope, on the lighter side, a lot of memories, a lot of tears. the people in your life that do so much. that support you, that go to the wall for you, that are there for you. That my other daughter, Little cub, Faith, she kind of punctured her leg a little bit on a fence on her way to Mimi and Papa's one time. and Cindy met her in the driveway.
And she got that cleaned up and she got that wound treated and before Faith could even say anything else. And just that's what she did. And so honoring her today, if you just joined us, I'm Stu Epperson. This is Truth Talk Live asking the question who in your life is great. According to Jesus.
And I'm honoring a specific person who just went to be the Lord recently, Cindy Manoring. A dear saintly woman who served in our family's household. She was my dad's secretary, but was so much more than that. Taking care of all of us, kids. Listen to this.
She was with us for 40 days. plus years. And so, hey, not only did she have to put up with me, but she had to put up with my three sisters. I mean, imagine that. I would love for you to call in and give a shout out, as many have already.
to someone in your life. Who has been great? According to Jesus. Someone that you maybe not would be here, like Dr. Carson shared a little bit ago about that godly couple that mentored him.
Maybe you wouldn't be around today. If it weren't for them. being great for you. and serving you. And loving you.
and picking you up when you were down, and being a rock in your life. Who is that person? We're giving tributes to them. We just have a few minutes left. Would love to hear from you.
And The number is, if you want to call in, is toll-free 866-348-7884-866-868. three, four, truth And tell us about that person. What kind of impact did they have? I loved hearing one of our first callers was Tawanda from Greenville, South Carolina. She says, Hey, my godmother, she prayed for me for years.
She believed in me. She cared for me, poured God's word into me. I mean, that's the kind of thing. Cindy didn't have kids, she didn't have a husband. But She had all these spiritual kids.
She had all these Brothers and sisters in Christ that she served and poured into, that she witnessed to. And Boy, what an impact she had on my life. And so we're celebrating her and all of those who are great today. Great in God's eyes. That's really what it's about.
Here on Truth Talk Live.
So, if you want to call in and give a shout out, a tribute to someone, I want you to say their name. The number is 86634 TRUTH. eight six six three four eight 7884. It's an hour long, all hour long. We are, it's an all greatness hour here on Truth Talk Live.
And dedicated to our precious Cindy, of course. And I'll read the verse that I quoted at the very beginning. That's my New Year's Resolution Verse.
So every year I come up with a verse that's kind of like.
somehow has a A Connection to the year or to the dates since the year is 2026. Although we may play this, you know, down the road in 2028 or 29, should the Lord tarry. But the verse I just got put on my heart. Is Matthew 20, verse 26 in 2026, which says, It shall not be so among you. What was he talking about among you?
He's talking about the. The the Gentiles lord it over people. The Gentiles are all about climbing that ladder and stepping on everyone else to get there. Jesus says, No. James and John, your mom has come to me wanting you to be on the right hand and the left side of me in heaven.
That's not how it's going to be. He said, but whoever would be great. Want to be great? Here's Jesus talking, Whoever would be great among you. Must be your servant.
Verse 26 of Matthew 20. He goes on to say, Whoever would be first among you must be your slave. And then he says this key word. This is all connected, by the way, to what he did for us. He came to serve us.
Jesus did. Even as the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve. and to give his life as a ransom. For many. Wow.
So, who's great in your life? Give him a shout out, and we'd love to hear from you. 86634-Truth. We got Jamal on the line. What's the Salem caller?
97.7 FM listening. Jamal, thank you for calling today. Who's great in your life, according to Jesus?
Well, as usual, thanks for taking my call, Stu, and this is a great topic. Um You were talking about preserving um what all we can do. I thought about a friend of ours named Bill Eiterly. And uh this guy Uh he's very intelligent, retired, could sit at home, just watch the game all day. But he's out at the abortion clinic all day.
Well, not all day, but uh for several hours. on the weekends and sometimes uh other days as well. Trying to save lives. He also speaks to the homeless. goes to their encampment sometimes.
You mentioned somebody picking up trash. This guy will pick up trash. He's also talked to my life personally. invited me into his home. He knows the word.
and also was also a testament to him is his family. It is also biblical warriors. They're their servants. through his leadership. through God using him.
He's inspired me, he's inspired others, and he's been a leader in his own.
So I want to shout out Bill Iderly. I love it. Wow. Greatness. And you know, Bill's not like a big celebrity.
I don't even think he's on social media. I don't think he would even know where to begin with that. But just a humble servant. You know, he's also part of our Wednesday in the Word ministry. He does so much in there.
Like, if he senses someone's hurting or someone needs a little something or someone needs a lift, there's Bill, right, praying with a young guy or something. Yeah. Wow, man.
Well, that's Bill Aderley. You're right. He's not on social media at all, but he has that spiritual intuition.
Sorry, sorry, spiritual intuition to pick up on something. But I will let you get back to the program. Great program. Love you, Stu, and God bless you and keep you that work. Hey, thank you so much.
And Jamal, good to hear from you, honoring a friend who's actually a mutual friend of ours, Bill. Who is great, great according to Jesus.
Now, how do you want to be remembered? How do you want to be defined? Do you want to be defined by what the world says, what people say? Or do you want to be defined by What Jesus says about you. You're not defined by your sin.
You are defined by His Son. and Jesus Christ, The night before he died, He goes into this most important feast, which we celebrate today. It's an eternal feast. It is. a major part of the Church today, the Great Communion, the Eucharisto Feast.
And what did he do? He laid down his robe, He picked up A rag. And he went on to wash. his disciples' feet. And he basically said, Hey.
As I'm doing to you, you Love each other. You love one another. And then he served all the way Till the death on the cross he humbled himself even to the point of death as Philippians two.
so beautifully reminds us, even the death on the cross God has exalted him. Given him a name above every name, that the name of Jesus, every knee will bow. and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. To the glory of God the Father, Jesus Christ is the greatest. But He came.
as a servant. And when he says in John 20, 21, when he says, as the Father sent me.
So I send you. What's he saying there? He's saying exactly what he's saying in Matthew twenty. He's saying, even ass. That word even ass is talking about, it's a reference to.
Whoever would be first among you must be your slave. He says, Even as the Son of Man came not to be served. But to serve. and to give his life as a ransom for many. Recently we celebrated His humble beginnings, not born in a palace, not born in a in a nice Hospital?
Born in a stinky Cattle stall there was the Lord of all. And his first bed was a manger, which is a nice way of saying a trough that animals slopped in and ate their food in. There the bread of life, the living water, was in a in a cattle trough that was used to feed water to animals and bread. And here he came to serve He came to And he sends us to do the same thing. And he does it through.
We're talking about this all hour long because of a lady who is tall. In spiritual stature, but who was Not so tall, like 4'11 to be exact. It was so fun to see all the grandkids, even little Stewie. who all as they grew up Just Thanksgiving, just two months ago. We got a picture of little Stewart and my nephew.
And Cindy and Stewart had just edged over Cindy, maybe by a half an inch. And he was so excited. And us Eppersons, we're a tall bunch, as some of you may know. But this four foot eleven com lady commanded our attention. She carried authority, and she had a heart to serve.
and she, my friend, is great. The question is, how great are you?
Well Go to the master. Let him serve you. Let him wash your feet. Humble yourself before him. And then in his power.
By His grace. Go out to be great. by being a servant. And I'll read this verse as we close. Jesus in Matthew 20, 26, in 2026, he said.
It shall not be so among you, but whoever would be great among you Must be your servant. What a blessing you all have been. All your testimonies, all you've shared. Download this podcast and share it with someone. Who has been great in your life according to Jesus?
And God bless the memory, the saintly Cindy Mannering in heaven. We'll see you soon, Cindy. We love you. Mm-hmm.
