A movement of the Lord is taking place in Washington, D.C., with Christian leaders praying for the nation's capital and seeking to reclaim America for Christ. Pastor Rob Pasienza discusses the importance of standing with Israel and advancing Judeo-Christian values in government and politics.

This is the Truth Network. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. What is God doing in Washington, D.C.? Is it true there's a movement of the Lord? You hear about revivals taking place on college campuses, kids getting baptized in big numbers at Auburn University and other places, worship breaking out, souls being saved.

But what about Washington, D.C.? Is it is Pastor Rob Pasienza, is Washington, D.C., the nation's capital beyond the reach of the grace of God, sir? Certainly not. I just came back from there, and it is very clear from the Cabinet Department to Capitol Hill to even the White House, there is a clear movement of the Spirit of God. And I believe that even a place like Washington, D.C., modern day Rome, I am hopeful that we will begin to see transformation.

Oh, it's it I'm so glad that We're talking to you because so many people listening to Truth Talk, to our network, to all the programs, the wonderful affiliates that carry the show. They see these pictures of faith leaders, like sometimes praying for the president, sometimes in the Oval Office, sometimes at some event, some prayer breakfast in DC. You were just there. Take us inside, Pastor Rob, to what you saw. And is it?

I mean, is it a bunch of just kind of... smooth talking, glad handing kind of stuff? Or is there a real sense of God's presence and God's work? And give us the real honest Pastor Rob perspective, if you would. It's a great question because a few years ago, I kind of had the same maybe skepticism or questions about what we were all seeing on television.

But as someone who was just there at the White House, on Capitol Hill, in the cabinet departments, the leadership from the White House to the cabinets to the Capitol Hill and under the leadership of Mike Johnson, the leadership is hungry for prayer. They are hungry for pastoral counsel, but they're also hungry to hear from Christian leaders across America about what matters. Concerning the soul of the nation.

So, yeah, this isn't a bunch of pastors and ministry leaders going up for a photo op. From the president to the speaker of the house to cabinet secretaries are leaning on ministry leaders, leaning on the church. To say what direction should this country go in? We almost lost it a few years ago. We realized that the door is slowly closing for saving the nation and bringing it back from the dead.

And I think they are finally realizing this is the political leaders that our ultimate hope is not found in Washington, D.C., but in the church houses across America that are boldly preaching biblical truth and teaching their congregations how to apply it to every area of life, including government and politics. Pastor Rob, if we may for one moment. Can we talk about the... Not the elephant in the room, but the Trump in the room.

So many, even his name, people were like, oh, I can't stand him. He's brutal. He's abrasive. He's coarse. And.

And just uh just a bad person. And and I mean, and I and I've I've seen that. And there's a lot of folks that are trying to conflate him with being this godly leader and whatnot. And and yet his policies have been uh he's he's had some very Policy, solid policies that actually keep free speech going, keep this radio program going.

So I'm grateful for that. But how do you defend or how do you? How do you articulate A biblical perspective on someone. Like Donald Trump, you know, from a pastoral standpoint, and speak to other pastors out there that really struggle with them. They really have a hard time.

Sure.

Well, I think for any pastor or ministry leader that's struggling with President Trump, let's just go back to the previous administration. You had an administration and an administration that chose Supreme Court justices that couldn't even define what a woman is. That's just biblical creation order that was rejected. You had men legally allowed to go into women's restrooms and locker rooms. You had the movement of transgenderism being embraced and championed as a legitimate ideology that should be taught and forced down the throats of the next generation.

You had open borders and no sense of national security. And I mean, the list just goes on and on. Trump comes in. Almost overnight, and at the very least, over the past 10 months of his presidency, 11 months of his presidency, has reversed almost all of those policies, reversed all of those ways in which we were headed down this pathway to destruction as a nation. And so you have a president that, in his opening speech on Inauguration Day, says, God defines gender.

And there's two of them, male and female. He establishes a task force to combat anti-Christian bias. The FBI was being used in the previous administration to go after people like you and me. The IRS was listening to our sermons on Sunday morning. The IRS's job, the last I checked, was to collect our money, not to listen to our sermons.

All of that has changed overnight.

So if you're a pastor and ministry leader, someone who cares about the soul of our nation and the next generation, just look at the policies between, they couldn't be more stark. They couldn't be more different compared between the Biden administration and the Trump administration. Presidents come and go. But policies have generational consequences. I want a president in the Oval Office that is establishing and advancing and advocating policies that will continue to advance America as the Judeo-Christian nation that was founded to be 250 years ago.

So that's what I'm chiefly concerned about. President Trump will be done in three years, but his policies will have generational effects. And that's the voice of Pastor Rob Pacianza, the pastor of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, the church that was a lot of you know Dr. D. James Kennedy, who mentored Pastor Rob.

And Pastor Rob also hosts a great radio program and TV program, Trues to Transform. In addition to that, he's the head of the Center for Christian Statesmanship. You all have a heart of redemption for D.C., you have a heart of praying for presidents, for senators to come to know Jesus. Talk about how that really matters, Pastor Rob, and how that really should be, we should all agree on that. Beyond the politics and the other things, we should all agree on the need for Jesus in every politician and every party, individuals that need to come to know the Lord.

James Kennedy said it best: if we're going to reclaim America, the greatest way to do that is to share the gospel with others. The more people come to faith, the more people come to know Jesus Christ, the better chance we have of reclaiming America for Christ. And the best chance we have of reclaiming Washington, D.C. is to see more and more Christ followers on Capitol Hill, working in the West Wing, working in the Department of State, and the Department of Justice, and the Department of Agriculture, and the Department of Commerce. That's going to be the answer for the hope of America.

And so, in 1995, our church launched the Center for Christian Statesmanship with that in mind. How could we serve Christian members of Congress and their staff, but how could we continue to advance and champion the gospel?

So, more and more. Policymakers and their staff would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. And so that's what the Center for Christian Statesmanship has been doing for 30 years. And in addition to that, we're always looking to honor certain statesmen on the hill that are living out their faith not only in private, but in public, that are using their Christian worldview to shape policy, to shape legislation, so that America would look more like that city on a hill that our first founders, the pilgrims, envisioned so many years ago. Wow.

Uh, pastor This issue with Israel keeps coming up. A lot of young people are being. turned against Israel. They're saying things like, well, it's a pagan secular state right now, and the stuff in the Bible is about Israel of old when they were God's people and such. And America is too friendly with Israel.

There's a lot of anti-Semitism in the world. And it seems to be exacerbated even by some people on the right who are saying some kind of pretty rough things attacking Israel. and attacking the the folks in America, even the pastors who are Befriending Israel and holding to that bond. Would you speak to that real quick and how important that is? to to address and to have a a balanced biblical view on.

The seculars and the progressives for years have been anti-Israel. But like you said, I think what's so surprising over the last two to three years is the rise of anti-Semitism even among the right, even in evangelicalism. And a lot of this really falls on the rise of social media.

So many social media influencers, TikTok. And I really believe that, and we were actually just talking to the president about this yesterday. We really believe that there are still too many bad actors that are pouring millions of dollars into our social media streams and social media platforms from other nations that are indoctrinating the next generation to turn against. Judeo-Christian values, and in particular, to turn against Israel.

So, we've got to address that. That's another topic for another day. But, social media is still corrupt. It's still dark. And if you're a parent listening, guard your children tightly and closely when it comes to social media access.

But I think for any evangelical that is wavering on Israel, I always say this. We could have a debate all day long as far as our end time views and whether the Israel now is the same Israel in the Bible, and we'll never agree. On our understanding of Israel, here's what we can agree on: it still is the holy land in the sense that this is where Jesus walked, this is where the temple was built, this is where God's spirit resided with his people, and all of the stories throughout redemptive history from Genesis to Revelation are right there.

So, there is something sacred, there is something special about the land from a spiritual perspective, but purely from a geopolitical perspective, they're our lone ally in the Middle East.

So if you love religious freedom, if you love free speech, if you love human rights, all of the rights that we've enjoyed for 250 years in America, that has come because of a Judeo-Christian worldview. You can't find another nation. Is Israel perfect? Far from perfect. But it is our lone ally and it is the place that has the best opportunity for freedom and free speech and human rights to flourish.

You're not going to find that in Iran or Iraq. You're going to find it in Israel. And so simply from a geopolitical perspective, if you love religious freedom and human rights as they're informed and defined by God and the Judeo-Christian worldview, we must continue to stand with Israel. Pastor Rob, take us home with the way you concluded your big faith leaders kind of summit meeting in DC. You guys prayed.

You were with people of different denominations, different stripes and flavors, but The same Jesus, the same Lord, and you were there in the White House, you were there in the Capitol building, and you were holding hands and praying with these other Christian pastors and leaders. What did you pray about? And then give us a challenge as how we. can be praying for our country, how we can be praying for our leaders. And for God God's will and God's kingdom.

Yeah, did we pray, we worshiped. We were singing, great is thy faithfulness and how great thou art on the on the on the White House property, on the White House grounds. How cool is that? That prayer and worship has been welcomed back to the White House. Yeah, we were worshiping, we were praying, but we were also talking about policy.

The leaders of the free world are looking to the church, as I said, about policies, policies like how do we protect freedom of conscience in America? For these students that are going off to med school that are Christians, do they have to buy into the lie that abortion is healthcare? Do they have to perform a medical abortion in order to graduate or will they be discriminated against? How do we protect their rights as Christians in medical school schools across the country? We talked about persecution in Africa, namely the persecution against Christians in Nigeria.

We talked about advancing religious freedom and a host of other policies. Policies, and I think my challenge to anyone listening: we might not agree on our interpretation of Revelation, we might not agree on our understanding of worship and the role of the church. But the one thing: if you love this nation and you believe that this nation was founded as one nation under God, now is the time to get into the fight.

Now is the time to get into the game. I don't think we have three years. I think we have nine months to really, I think this midterm election is huge. I think we need to get our people up and out and engaged in the public square and realize that every person's legislation is based on someone else's morality. The question is, they went for the, you know, the lie that you can't legislate morality.

The question is whose morality is shaping legislation? Whose morality is shaping policy? We want morality as it's defined by God's word.

So we need every Christian can engage. You have a president, a speaker, you have cabinet leaders that are looking to the church for answers. This is the moment that Washington, D.C. is actually acknowledging for the first time in a long time, we can't get it done. We don't have the answers.

Let's give the power back to the state. Let's give the power back to the faith community. This is our moment to seize and let's not. Waste this moment because I really believe it's going to be the church, not DC, not politicians, that lead this nation into the next great awakening.

So let's get engaged and do something about it. Thank you, Pastor Rob Pasianza, for leading the charge and for faithfully shepherding your flock there in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, that whole Miami area. You're on the radio there on AM670, a great radio station. You're on stations all over the country. People need to hear your program, Trues to Transform, and they need to note that you're not on the campaign trail.

You're not out there. Rallying votes and pushing a party, you're out there pushing Jesus. You're out there teaching God's word, you're being faithful. But it doesn't mean that we don't speak up in the public square, it doesn't mean that we don't. We don't that we ignore Pastor Robin reminded that tragic event in Nazi Germany.

That you may have seen the little documentary. A friend of mine helped make it, and we actually viewed it. We had a little viewing. screening at NRB a couple of years ago, and it was called Sing a Little Louder. And it was about a church.

that was in worship in Germany. And when the train was right by the train tracks, you remember this story? And the trains would go by and they would just sing a little louder. Sing a little louder so we don't hear the screams and the moans and the anguish of these Jews who were being tortured, and they're on their way to be absolutely. Genocided.

And so that, Pastor Rob, that could were not for the grace of God, that could be America, sir. That's the only thing I'm not doing Washington, D.C. You're absolutely right. I'm not a lobbyist. I'm not up there to advance a particular political party platform.

I'm up there making sure people of faith still have a voice. In particular, the Church of Jesus Christ and our Judeo-Christian worldview is still allowed to be advanced. It's what made this country great 250 years ago, and it's what it's going to make it great again. It's not going to be politics and policies, it's going to be freedoms upheld, the freedom of religion being exercised in the public square, and the freedom to preach whatever I want to preach on without any government interference. That's the only reason I go up to Washington, D.C., so the gospel can continue to be proclaimed until every single person hears the gospel before Jesus comes home.

So, friend, you're a citizen of heaven if you're a believer, but you're also a citizen on this earth. And that we know which one is far more important. But while we're here. It doesn't mean you can't run for city council. It doesn't mean you can't sit on the school board because you can influence that school board.

To not allow men in girls' bathrooms, okay, which is awful that's happening. You can have an impact as a believer, you can be a witness. with your skills and your gifts. Of diplomacy, even as a pastor like Pastor Rob, who's going up to D.C. on a regular basis to minister.

I passed out Bibles with you to the freshmen, senators, and House members. That was such a blessing. Pastor Rob, folks want to watch your TV programs, hear your amazing City of God podcast. Maybe they want to listen to the radio show and get to know you better if they're in the Fort Lauderdale area, pop into the church. What's the best website they can learn more, sir?

CRM.tv, that stands for Coral Ridge Ministries, CRM.tv, all of our television listings, radio schedule, and a host of other resources all there to equip the North American church to engage this cultural moment. Wonderful. Hey, will you get us a quick prayer? It's coming up to the end of the year. And a lot of folks, a lot of distress, a lot of pain.

People are hurting. People are upset. There's wars going on. There's just a lot of personal battles happening within families. The enemy's trying to divide us.

Pray for our listeners, will you? And pray for our country, Pastor Rob, as we get out of here. Let's pray. Father, Lord, I thank you that the government is on your son's shoulders, not the president's shoulders, not the speaker of the house, not on us, but it's on your son's shoulders. That's the whole beauty of Christmas: that the God who created the heavens and the earth came down as a man, put on flesh.

And that this nation and all of the nations of the world rest upon him. He is the Lord of all, and I thank you that he's also the Lord of me. He's the Lord of my life and he's the Lord of everyone's life that is listening. Who has placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ? I pray that every listener right now would believe that, they would cling to that hope, that Christmas declares that we can't do it, but he can.

It's the whole reason he came. If we could do it on our own, there would be no reason for Christmas. The reality is we can't do it on our own, but God provided a way. He provided a son, the greatest gift ever given. The Father gives his son away for us.

For those that are hurting, For those that are suffering, help them to know that. that Jesus from the moment he was born Was born into hard situations and hard circumstances. He was born in a dark manger and ended on a dark, cruel cross.

So, that we would be able to go through this life knowing with confidence that I have never experienced and will never experience anything. that my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ hasn't experienced. He is the great sympathetic high priest. who loves us, who sees us, who knows us. and is standing by our side even in the valley.

We pray this all in the name of Jesus Christ Emmanuel. Amen. Should Bye.
