This is the Truth Network. He's an evangelist. He loves Jesus. He's passionate about seeing revival. Reformation comes to our country, and he's about to launch something, friends, that is huge.
You're going to be hearing a lot about this, but he agreed. To come on this show with me, Stu Epperson, to give us a little tease, Jerry Johnson. I am so excited about this new initiative. to awaken our country, especially believers. And get them back in the game.
We've got to get off our blessed assurance, and we've got to recognize that this is a battle for souls. It's called Christian Strong. Did I say all that right, Brother Johnson? You said it exactly right, Stu. You know, first, it's great to be with you.
We recognize you as a great leader. And we are excited about this movement. Jay Seculo is working with me, along with our other board members. And the nutshell is simply this: that for nearly 10 years, My wife Christy and I studied why people were leaving the church. A word called NUNS, N-O-N-E-S, not to be confused with N-U-N-S.
And it was a demographic that Pew Research out of DC had been tracking.
Now eclipsing Roman Catholics and evangelicals, nearly 80 million strong, people who've left the church. And uh and they're not atheist.
Well, to make a long story short, we interviewed nearly 100 leaders all over the UK and the United States, everybody from Richard Dawkins, the famous atheist on down. And uh asked why. And bottom line is that the general social survey has been tracking people of faith, asking. How would you rate your faith? And tragically, less than two out of five rate their faith is strong.
That hasn't moved since 1977 to 2022. And so what is the movement? We're asking believers. to make a decision. I am going to become Christian strong.
And then we're going to actually train them how to do that. Our launch book is a 30-day plan. and to interactive with the word of God, how to become strong and then How to become a strong Christian thinker. This is a mind game. It is a war of ideas.
It's trying to change the Judeo-Christian ethic of the United States. And we believe. Given what has happened just in the last year, Like with Trump being elected. There is a window of grace to start a movement to enroll a million people in Christian Strong, and that's exactly what we're going to do. Oh.
And so this is bigger than just politics, than just You know, creating more Democrats or Republicans. This is taking a whole generation deeper into essentially. What we believe and why we believe it. Is that an accurate? Is that put it in a proper context, Jerry Johnson?
It does do it, but it's declarative in that If you had a a group of Christians in any room and said, How many of you Christians raise your hand? You know, everybody would. How many of your strong Christians had qualified that? You're really strong. Raise your hand.
Maybe 20% would raise their hand. How many of you want to be strong?
So we're asking believers to mark a day and time in their life and to say, I am going to become Christian strong. And then. with its simple tutorial that have a lot of digital interface. We're going to show them how to become strong. And then how to adopt a biblical worldview that is transformative.
There's enough Christians in America to turn this place upside down 10 times. And yet it will not happen. Until Christians decide, I'm not going to try a little, pray a little, serve a little, or maybe do a little more. I am going to get off the spiritual couch. and I am going to become spiritually strong.
Oh. Well, Brother Johnson, I've followed your ministry for years. I've loved hearing you preach. I've had friends come to know Christ through your crusades and through your evangelism and amazing messages. Who is Jerry Johnson?
Asking that on behalf of many listeners, maybe they haven't met you before. Maybe this is the first time they're hearing about this bigger-than-life fella that I'm describing. Give a little bit about your background and kind of who you are.
Well, out of the drug scene and ended up at Liberty, was an associate evangelist for Dr. Falwell back in the days when The things are blowing and going and launching. And then in evangelism, I had the privilege to speak in 1,200 churches in about 700 cities, went all over the United States of America, and then spoke on the public school campus, about 2,000 public schools. where I would give a pre-evangelistic talk and invite students to our crusades. And we led about 100,000 of those students to Christ.
And then God began to speak to my heart about really studying culture. what is happening with culture and getting beyond just the the momentum of one week to say could we potentially the igniting of a spiritual renewal in the country. And so Christy and I together wanted to have some intellectual credibility about what the issues were. We actually started enrolling in the American Atheist Convention at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis. Thousand atheists, and what was a revival meeting for atheists, it was discovered that 70% of them were former Christians.
And so this deconstruction reality is true. But I d I'm not really much into discussing the latest deconstruction trends as much as I am How can we help Christians construct? A Christian strong faith. And God spoke to our heart. Let's make a movement happen across this nation.
Wow.
Okay. And the movement's called Christian Strong. And Dr. Johnson's leading the wave, leading the charge. And he wants to get, I guess you want to get, is it true?
The numbers, you want to get a million? Yes. Folks on board. Wow.
A million believers to say, I'm going to be Christian strong. Through that tutorial, we're going to ask each one of those million to reach out to 10 each in their own social network. We're asking God also for 100,000. to take the place of Charlie Kirk, to become culture warriors for our nation. And you know, that again is just the Judeo-Christian ethic.
Remember, Chuck Colson said it was Abraham Kuyper that transformed his life. Kuyper was that man from Holland who was prime minister, founded a university, and said you can't be a Christian and ignore what's happening in government. Nobody knows about Kuiper now. The book I'm doing right now is going to not only share that strategy, but other strategies biblically based. And then those hundred filmed interviews that we've done with leading experts.
We have QR codes throughout the book. Again, we need to outthink the secularists that are trying to redesign America. And we can. But we have to become trained and literate. And we're very, very excited.

Yeah. It's an excellent question, Stu. And here's what's happened. We do have right now Pockets of what I would call spiritual renewal in the country, university students receiving Christ, et cetera, et cetera. But let us never forget what George Barna has spent 30 plus years researching.
And he has documented that less than 6% of American Christians have a biblical worldview. Secondly, Barnes says 92% of Christians in the United States. Have what they're basically syncretists. Syncretism, what does that mean? It means a little bit of this, a little bit of that.
They have a faith system that is basically borrowed thoughts, not biblically based. Christian Strong helps every single parent, every single student. Learn a biblical world view. Apply it first to yourself because trials and challenges will come. You've got to get rock solid in the world in which we're headed, particularly in the next 10, 20 years.
And then secondly, you've got to be able to articulate it. Where we've missed it in the last 20 years is we have not indoctrinated men and women into a biblical worldview. And just getting saved and baptized and serving in the church is not enough. You've got to go from weak to strong, and that only happens when you decide. I'm going to make a decision.
I'm going to become Christian strong. It's almost like that famous campfire song we sang, I have decided to follow Jesus. Amen. No turning back. And we're not saying follow a politician.
We're not saying, I don't believe. I don't want to put words in your mouth. You're not saying, hey, check on this party registration. But what you are doing is giving everyone that's interested, that's truly wanting to follow Christ, the moorings. the axiomatic foundation Of being strong in Christ.
And Dr. Johnson, I'm grateful for that. I know there's going to be a lot more. This is just a little teaser. This is just a kind of, this is just a little tremor before the giant Christian Strong earthquake shakes the country.
