And now, here's today's Truth Talk Live host.

Well, hey guys, this is Michael Zwick, and I've got a really exciting show for you guys today. We've got one of the largest Christian YouTube kids' channels in the world, and it is called The Good News Guys. And we've got Jordan and Vinny on the line coming out from Michigan, and you guys are there, right? Hey hat! Yeah, hey, we're here, Michael.

Good deal.

Well, I just want to thank you guys for doing this, but it's funny. I actually had a conversation with you guys earlier in the week, and you said the fact that this even kind of came together was really God-ordained. And I'll start with you, Jordan. Did you grow up in a Christian home yourself? Yes, I was raised in a Christian home.

Both of my folks went to church and rooted in the Bible since I was really young. I did have a point in time right after high school where I kind of did my own thing for a little bit, but the Lord brought me right back, and I'm so thankful to be in his service. Absolutely. And what about you? What about you, Vinny?

Yeah, yep. I grew up going uh going to church with my parents and I remember from a young age my mom, you know, talking tell teaching me about Bible stories and I remember using the old karaoke machines, uh singing singing young praise songs, kids' praise songs with my mom from a young age.

So it's kind of like Jordan. You know, I went off to college, I went to Michigan State and I wouldn't say I was a prodigal, but I wasn't really living with Jesus as the king. But once I kind of grew into my adulthood, I kind of owned my faith again, and the Lord again called me home.

Well, Vinny, I'm a huge Duke basketball fan, but I guess I'll continue the interview. Yeah. Anyways, buddy, uh and then you said that something happened when and it was, I guess, during COVID where this guy, Jordan, had actually was he the videographer of your wedding or or what happened? Yeah, see in 2015, Jordan he he videoed our wedding with my wife. And I had known Jordan before.

We actually grew up going to the same church. but we were just acquaintances. We were never friends. Um and so I I knew Jordan a little bit from doing video and uh but yeah, it had been about five years. During the pandemic, I hadn't really talked to him until then.

And then you said one day you were going for a run. Yeah, yeah, so it's crazy. Actually, it started a little before that. I had a one-year-old son at the time, and I was looking for Christian content for my kids. I also was reading Ephesians, and I read Ephesians 2:10.

Where it says we are his workmanship. Created in Christ Jesus for good works. which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. And I remember praying to the Lord. I said, Lord, what good works do you have for me?

And I felt one of the first times in my life, I felt the Lord speak to me, not in an out loud voice, but as a prompting in my heart. And he said, I want you to make kids Christian music. And I thought, wow, Lord, that's quite a mission. How am I supposed to do that? And then I don't hear anything from the Lord.

Until like you said, that day I went for a jog. And that's when I heard Jordan's name again.

So when you said you went for a jog and you heard Jordan's name, what what happened? Yeah. So I was jogging and it had been about a week since I had prayed that prayer, Lord, how do you want me to make these kids' songs? And I lived about three blocks away from Jordan, and so I went for a jog, and the Lord stopped me right in front of his house. And I just heard his name, Jordan, Jordan.

And in my flesh, and in my thoughts, I thought, oh. He's supposed to film me doing this and help me make this. And it was like a hard no from the Lord, like, no, he's going to do these videos and these songs with you. which I thought was a little strange, but I decided to be obedient and I reached out to Jordan at the time and I said, hey, do you want to grab dinner sometime? I have an idea I'd like to propose to you.

And Jordan, when he gave you this idea, what did you think?

Well, it is it's crazy, Michael, because the Lord had already prepared me for this conversation. Again, Vinny and I were just acquaintances. We weren't the best of friends. I had filmed his wedding, so I knew of Vinny, and we were friendly. But when Vinny reached out to me initially, I thought that he needed help going virtual with his classroom because he was a school teacher at the time.

And so I agreed to the meeting. Little did I know what was coming. And just to preface all of this, about a week before our meeting, I was looking for Christian content for my then one-year-old daughter, and I was searching around and I only could find the outdated stuff, which was great, you know, but like it was like Cedarmont Kids and Salty, the singing hymn book and things that we grew up with. And I was like, where is the updated stuff? I looked at my wife and I was like, there's just not really a lot of updated stuff out there.

And since I'm a video producer, my wife looked at me and she goes, well, you make videos and music. Why don't you do it? And I laughed and I said, that would be awesome, but I don't want to do that by myself. I said, maybe if the Lord was to send somebody along. to do this with me, then I would then I would do that.

Now, when you said that, did you mean it or were you just trying to put her off? A little bit of both. I thought it would be cool. Yeah, but like I was so busy. You own your own business and you're just you get so busy with stuff and you just think that, oh, I got to do this and that and the other thing, and I just don't have time for that.

And so I said it. Half meaning it, but the Lord really tugged at my heart when Vinny approached me, and I was like, Oh, yeah, I need to do this.

So he talked to you. I mean, God really just ordained this and ended up working out. Right now you've got 206,000 subscribers. And I asked you the other day, how many views does your channel currently have? And you said, how many?

Oh, it was One hundred seventy two million lifetime views. Wow. Wow. And Vinny, you were actually a school teacher before this. Is that right?

Yeah, I taught high school, so a different different age group, but still teaching.

So I taught economics and government. And uh US history. Um And and I loved it, but When the Lord calls you into something else, Well, I mean, shoot, we didn't know it was going to be this successful. I just when I told Jordan, hey, let's you got to do this and he said yes, I was shocked he said yes. And so the the way the Lord has blessed this to where now we can do it full time, Incredible.

It's only the Lord could do that. Amen.

Now, did you have a fast start or did it start slow? Yes, so we when Vinny approached me with the idea, my jaw hit the floor, of course, because I had just had this conversation with my wife a week earlier. And I was like, Okay, well, let's let's meet up meet meet and see what we can do to make this happen. And so we did. And I remember we we recorded a song right off the bat.

We we recorded Sing Hosanna. And we had a conversation. We're like, let's spend some time building up some content before we launch this thing so we have a good foundation to Put out there. When on YouTube, you don't want to just post one video and then have nothing else for people to come watch. We wanted to have a good.

like twenty videos So we spent a whole year building content before we finally launched in 2021.

So it seems like sometimes when God is calling us to do something, sometimes there is a waiting season. Yes, 100%, 100% of that waiting season. And we would just meet one night a week. I'd wait for our kids to go to sleep and like I'd come over to Jordan's house at about eight o'clock at night and we would work on a song or work on a video and we'd pray together and I mean, just doing this has brought us closer, obviously, to each other as friends. But to the Lord.

You said to the Lord as well. In Matthew 19, 13, it says, Then there were brought unto him little children, and that he should put his hands on them and pray. And the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, Suffer little children and forbid them not to come unto me. For of such is the kingdom of heaven.

And he laid his hands on them and departed thence. And so it is not a small thing to reach the kids for Christ. What they are doing is impacting the whole world. All right, guys, we are back with Vinny and Jordan from the Good News Guys. And before we got on the show, the owner of the station today, Stu Epperson, mentioned something to me, and I thought it was really important. Because when we go out and we share the good news of Jesus Christ, a lot of times we talk about how to communicate the gospel or how to do evangelism. But what we're pretty much always doing is we're sharing the gospel with people who are already adults. And that's great.

That's awesome. Other adults need to hear the good news of Jesus Christ. But if you do a simple Google search, this is what it comes up with. It says most people come to faith in Christ before age 18. Ages 4 to 14, it says, a large majority of conversions occur during childhood and early adolescence.

Some studies indicate that as many as 63% or more of Christians made their commitment in this period with a median age of age 11. And guys, this isn't just something that I'm talking about. My three kids love this station. I've got an eight-year-old, a seven-year-old, and a four-year-old. And I had my four-year-old in the car with me the other day while Vinny and Jordan were on the phone with me.

And I said, do you have any questions for the good news, guys? And all she could say was, what time is it? But I will say this, that she loves the show. And I want to tell you guys that what you're doing is making a huge impact on the children because, and Vinny, you probably know this more than anybody, but as a teacher, we learn. A lot at a very young age.

Is that right? That's right. That's right, Michael. I think kids are. Are so malleable and formed.

We're getting formed by the world and. There's so much junk out there, right? There's so much the culture tries to throw on these kids. we want to tell them truth, ultimate truth is Jesus. He's a person and you can know him.

And that's I can't think of anything more important to be doing with my life than telling kids about Jesus.

Well, yeah, and Jordan, everybody wants a purpose in life. There have been books on the purpose-driven life. There are people who are making millions of dollars on telling other people how to develop your purpose. But our real purpose is in Jesus Christ, number one. And then, number two, if we can help those kids when they're so young, Jordan, I'm pretty sure it makes you feel good.

Oh, it makes me feel so good. You know, Proverbs 22, 6 says, train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

So it is just so important as a father, as a man of God, as men of God, to stand firm on truth and teach our children, teach the next generation about Jesus. Absolutely. And just because we're Christians does not mean that we're not going to go through some trials and tribulations in life. And Jordan, I know it seems like when I started off on the radio, I was excited, but I had some really tough times as well. And I had some times where I had some drawbacks and I could tell that the enemy was really attacking.

And from what I heard you say in one of your videos, you had a son named Caleb who was born in 2024, and something happened. Is that right? Yes.

So we had a son before Caleb. His name was Coleman, and he was born without an immune system. He had It's called SCID, Severe Combined Immune Deficiencies. And he passed away. Um on July fourth, of twenty twenty three and he was just seven months old.

Then we had another son, Caleb, who was born. He currently Caleb is 14 months old, and he has the same condition, but we were able to treat it. And our little girl, Brayley Ann, she is six. She was his bone marrow transplant donor. And God has made a way.

And despite the horrible loss of Coleman, we still believe that God is good. He is sovereign and above all. And we trust him. And we're so thankful to have baby Caleb. Absolutely.

And when I was younger, especially in the ministry, I ended up going through a divorce. And for me, it was embarrassing, it was tough. And it was something that it was hard for me to deal with. But what I learned is that after that happened, I was able to help other people who were going through something similar. And I'm sure because you've been through something so tough, and it seems like with all three kids, Jordan, are you able to relate to people or maybe sympathize or empathize with them a little bit more?

Mm-hmm. Absolutely. And it's been able to, I've been able to speak life into other people and just point them to Jesus when they're going through tough times. That there is hope that we can be kingdom-minded. We're not living for the here and now, but we're living for what's next.

And what's next is living with Jesus and seeing our family that have gone before us and living in glory. It's going to be so amazing. And I just want to share that with so many people. Amen.

Hey man, and one of the beautiful things that I heard you talking about, and I don't know if you know the video that I'm talking about, but it was where you introduced your family to the listeners. Yes.

Yeah, and it was both of your kids, both of your families, your wives and your kids and all of that. And one of the things that I thought was beautiful, Jordan, is that when you told the story of how you lost your child, you and your wife both said together, but we're looking forward to seeing him again someday in heaven. That's right. My wife and I have both read a lot about heaven. We found comfort in that.

It brings us peace and joy knowing that. Coleman is in the Father's hands, and that we will see him again, and we will see Jesus and be able to worship Jesus together again. Yeah, and I'm sure, Vinny, for you, I'm sure some days it's tough. And I know recently you're no longer teaching. You guys are doing this full time.

But when the job does get kind of tough with what you're doing right now, what pushes you to get up every day and to go share the good news of Jesus with these kids, Vinny? Yeah, I think it is rooted in Prayer. In the word wh when when I'm Praying with Jordan daily. And um We're sharpening each other. Mm-hmm.

The mission is just so great as far as I can't believe the Lord has called us to do it. you know, a couple of normal guys, n dads who love their wives and and love Jesus, and he says, I'm going to use you guys to do this. And um I don't know. It's powerful.

So of course, we have setbacks, but I haven't actually experienced so much of the hey, should we be should we be doing this? I know we should be doing this. I really feel like we're walking in our calling. Amen.

Amen.

That's got to give you some excitement and some joy. And we're coming up on Thanksgiving next Thursday. But the Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5, 16 through 18, it says, Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God and Christ Jesus for you.

And Jordan, you always hear people saying that prayer changes things, but how has prayer changed your life? I don't know where I would be if I couldn't come to the father with my with my hurts, with my angers, with my needs, with even my wants. He's a good father, and being able to. Come to him no matter where we're at is just amazing. You know, Jesus came to tear that veil so we can approach the Father.

And it's amazing having that prayer time. Each time with Vinny, each time with in the morning, I pray with my wife and my children. I don't know where I'd be without prayer. Amen, amen. What you guys have come so far, but you said since you've done the YouTube channel, you're actually expanding some?

We are we're currently on YouTube and then we're also on the Minnow Kids app. And then we are on we have a few vi videos on Yippie and we're on Roku TV, Amazon, and then we have some of our Christmas content with Brave Plus now. Yeah, and you said you're crowdfunded, is that right? Partially, yes.

So we have relied quite a bit on our crowdfunding in order to go full time. Uh YouTube does not pay as much for children's Content as it does with like a normal YouTube channel.

So, crowdfunding has been a big part of what's been able to let us go full time. Yeah, and when we come back right after the break... We're going to go into a little bit more of what you guys can do to reach the kids for Christ. Because yes, you're hearing these guys who have all these subscribers and they're reaching all these people, but that doesn't mean that you, as an individual, can't do something yourselves. All right guys, we are back with Vinny and Jordan from the Good News Guys. I was looking at this over the break, and it came to me. It was Luke chapter 18 in verse 10. It says, Two men went up to the temple to pray, the one a Pharisee and the other a publican. And it says, The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself.

He said, God, I thank thee that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. He said, I fast twice in the week. I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican standing afar off would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breasts, saying, God, be merciful to me, a sinner. I tell you that this man went down to his house justified rather than the other.

For everyone that exalteth himself shall be humbled, but he that humbles himself shall be exalted. And so we all know that we don't want to fail. We don't want to have tough times. But unfortunately, sometimes in life we do have these tough times. And sometimes we just have to pray.

And the Lord, a lot of times we're going to be able to pray. When it's tough, we look to the Lord and we ask Him and He helps us out. But on the other side, sometimes there's a danger in having success where we can let it get to our heads. What I see with you guys, with Jordan and Vinny, yes, you guys have had some success, had some big success. You're reaching kids all over the world, but you've also learned, I guess you've just learned to stay humble.

How have you done that? All glory to God. We are just men. We're just two dudes, and God is above all.

So we just try to point people to Jesus and do what we can do to be faithful and walk in God's spirit and be obedient. to God's calling and point people to Jesus. Amen.

And you said that you have heard some people who have actually sent you emails, and some of these emails have to make you feel good. Is that right? Oh, a hundred percent. We got an email recently from a lady, a mom who She, the whole family watches Good News, guys, but she told us this. She said her husband once wanted nothing to do with church.

now sings Good News Guys songs with their son and goes to church regularly. And she said it's because our songs and videos have been playing in their home and God is using that. I mean, what we're doing is we're planting seeds. God is the one who is growing it. The Holy Spirit is the one who is watering it and growing it.

All we're doing is throwing seeds. Absolutely. And how about you, Jordan? Yeah, it's amazing to hear these testimonials from people. There was this one family from Ohio that we recently met, and it just brought us to tears hearing their story.

Their daughter was, she had a lot of cognitive abnormalities. And for months, the doctors were telling them that the daughter would never walk or talk. Or even take her first breath, say, encouraged abortion when the daughter was in the womb, but the family decided to have this little girl. and believing in God and creat believing that He created Her perfectly and in Her image. Today, praise be to God, this little girl is walking and speaking a little and singing to our songs.

And the mother uh brought her to one of our our concerts and we got to meet her. It was just an amazing time because she says that, you know, it's just, it's so powerful and it's a powerful reminder that God is moving and using even these simple children's songs to touch families in ways that we could never imagine. You know, one of the things that I heard you say the other day was that, and it was really exciting to me, but it spoke to me as well because my wife and I, while the kids are watching the show, we're watching it as well. And sometimes I think I get more out of the shows than the kids even do. That's great to hear, Michael.

We hear that kind of stuff all the time. And that was one of the things that Jordan and I had talked about early on is we don't want to be annoying like a lot of kids' shows are. We didn't want to act like we were the dumb guys. We wanted to be smart Dads, men of God. And we have we have a monkey puppet who he can ask the kid questions.

But the songs, we want the songs to resonate with the whole family.

So the kids want to hear it, but they might get stuck in mom and dad's head too. It sure does. And the Bible, Jesus said it like this in Matthew 25. He said, what you have done for the least of these, my brethren, he says, you have done it unto me. And there's another part in the Bible where it says, if you cause one of these little ones to sin, he said, it would be better for you that you have a millstone hung around your neck and to be.

tied at the bottom of the sea.

So we know what not to do, but I can also imagine the rewards that you're going to get for doing all of the work that you're doing. And I'm sure you've gotten some emails and I'm sure there have been some people who have told you how much this has impacted you. But I'm a whole lot more sure that when you get to heaven, you're going to find out how many people you really impacted. Are you looking forward to that? I'm looking forward to every single part about heaven.

And, you know, if we can play just a small part in God's bigger plan to bring people to him, and so the harvest is great. I mean, glory to God. It's all for him.

Well, and what's cool about doing good news, guys, is. It it's one of the jobs that like we'll probably get to keep doing in heaven is praising Jesus with kids and with the the family of God. And like I get to take this job now that I'm doing to praise the Lord, and I get to take that with me into eternity. That is amazing. You know, the Bible, years ago, I actually had an older woman, and she said this to me.

And it's funny, at this point, I don't know if I had ever heard this before, but she said, Mike, she said, I'm going to tell you something. And she was in her late 80s. She said, when praises go up, Blessings come down. And I have seen in my own life how when I start to praise the Lord, the depression that I'm dealing with just flies off of me. The worry that I'm dealing with just flies off of me.

And it's really biblical because it says in Psalm 150, praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary. Praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts. Praise him according to his excellent greatness.

Praise him with the sound of the trumpet. Praise him with the psaltery and the harp. And then it says at the end, it says, let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord. And I know you guys said you spend some time in prayer each day.

Do you also spend time in praise? Yes, actually, it's so interesting what you just said. And Jordan was telling me at church the other day, so I lead worship and Jordan plays drums and he does the media at our church, but he was just telling me the other day that gratitude and worry live in the same part of the brain. And that you, if you're being grateful and praising the Lord, you actually, it's impossible to be. Anxious and worry, like as you're praising the Lord, as you're meditating on these things, like Paul says, whatever is pure, whatever is good, whatever is true.

You actually can't be nervous, so praise be to God. Praise be to God. And I think Jesus said something about not worrying as well, from what I can remember. In Matthew chapter 6, he actually says it in verse 24. He says, but I tell you, he says, do not worry.

He says, no one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. He said, you can't serve both God and man. And he said, but then he says this in verse 25. He said, therefore, I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat or what ye shall drink, nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on.

Is not the life more than meat and the body than raiment? And I love what he says at the end in verse 33. He says, but seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. And he says, and all these things shall be added unto you. And he says, take therefore no thought for the morrow, for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.

Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. And I know thanksgiving. Is coming up next week. And I know you guys teach the kids and all of that. Have you done any music videos or shows or anything like that where you talk about giving thanks to God?

Yeah, I believe so. I mean, every of our longer episodes, we're talking about praising God and giving him thanks. One of the things that stand out in my mind that was in one of our videos is David, how David says, Praise the Lord with timbrel and dancing in Psalm 150. And so that is what we're trying to do: just praise the Lord with everything that we have, with every breath that we take. We are emanating.

Or reflecting Christ to people around us and just trying to show. The love that God has for us and the love that He displayed for us by giving us Jesus on the cross.

So praise be His holy name. Praise the Lord. And so I don't know if you guys are Detroit Lions fans, if you're from Michigan. Yeah. Yeah.

You are okay, good. All right. Well, you guys are pretty good lately, but I do remember Peyton Manning when he was retiring and he gave his retirement speech. And he kept saying again and again, he said, I'm grateful. I'm grateful.

I'm grateful for the opportunity. And when he, when he, his last game, he won the Super Bowl, he said, I'm going to say a little prayer and he said, I'm going to thank the guy upstairs for the opportunity that he's given me. And so you were talking about how in church you were just talking about this the other day, but it's funny when the world starts to catch up to the Bible because there have been many secular studies that have shown that when people are more grateful or when people give thanks or when they're grateful for what they have, they're overall happier people. They end up being more successful in their work and everything like that. And so there are many, many reasons to give thanks.

And so, Vinny, do you guys have like a routine that you do every day? I know you said. Is it 10 to 3? Yeah, we get. I come over here about 10 in the morning and we work till 3, but then I actually come back over on Monday and Tuesday nights once the kids go to sleep, so at like 9 or 9 thirty, and then we're kind of night owls, so we work till about one in the morning.

And for some reason, that's how the the creative elements uh at least that's how we're wired. Um but but yeah, we always start in prayer. And then like whether we're working on video or music, we ask the Lord to join us in that. We we need the Holy Spirit. We need His presence.

We need wisdom. We need His guidance. And that's worked out pretty well for us. Yeah, and it's good because I know there's people who are listening and they're saying, Oh, that's great that you can do this, Mike. Or I guess that's great that the good night news guys can do this as well.

But one morning I was late for church and I ended up going to a little local church in our town. And the guy, the preacher who preached, he said, There was a time. Where, if I wanted to tell you that God was good, he said that I would actually have to come up to you and walk up to you and tell you that God is good. He said, But nowadays, any of us, not just the good news guys, not just Mike Zwick, but anybody who has a phone, you can take your phone and put it up in front of you and say, God is good. And immediately, dozens or hundreds or thousands or even more people could hear that same message of good news.

You all know it's Isaiah chapter 6, where the Lord comes to Isaiah and he wants to use him. And Isaiah says, I'm a man of unclean lips. And so an angel touches his lips, and then the Lord asks Isaiah, he said, Who shall I send? And Isaiah says, Here I am, Lord, send me. It's good to be entertained.

But Vinny and Jordan, I'm sure there's somebody else out there today who's listening and says, hey, this is something that's really good. I want to do my part. to reach the world for Jesus Christ. How would you encourage them to start? Yeah, I would say just do it.

Whatever the Lord is putting on your heart, like be obedient and just follow that, walk in that, whether that's writing or painting or drawing or singing or just whatever your whatever work your hands find to do, do with all your might for the Lord. And I think the Lord puts people in our paths that we can talk to directly. You said something pretty cool before the break about you can get your phone out and put some put out how much God loves you and tell your testimony.

Sometimes we get tied into, oh, I have to have all the answers. No, you don't. You know a guy. You know Jesus. You know.

The bread of life and people are hungry. Like, if you know where the bread is, tell somebody where the bread is. People are thirsty. He's living water. Tell somebody about Jesus.

Amen.

And one of my favorite quotes is by Theodore Roosevelt. And this is what he says. He said, it is not the critic who counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles or where the doer of good deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly, who errs, who comes up short again and again because there is no effort without error and shortcoming, but who does actually strive to do the deeds, who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions, who spends himself in a worthy cause, who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly, so that his people.

So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat. And I don't know about you guys, but that inspires me. Yeah, that gets me fired up, man. I'm ready to tell everybody about Jesus and be in the arena because let's face it, like Jesus wore our sin in shame. And I'm glad to wear his name and tell people about him.

Yes, that's correct. 206,000. And you know, one of the things that I was thinking about as well is that there was a story about a young boy. And he wanted to be a gymnast. And he went out every day and he practiced and he practiced and he practiced.

And he said, it was finally the day of his first match. And he walked up to his coach. And he told his coach, he said, I'm sorry, sir. He said, I'm too scared. I can't do this.

I'm going to have to bow out. And this is what his coach said to him. He said, throw your heart over the bar and your body will follow. Because every single time that you're going to do something in your life that's worth anything at all. You're going to be apprehensive.

You're going to be scared. But throw your heart over the bar and your body will follow. When you guys first started doing this, were you a little nervous as well? I don't know that we were nervous. We were pretty excited about it.

I mean, we didn't exactly know how we were going to achieve it. And sometimes it has seemed like Eating an elephant, you know, there's so much to do, or climbing a mountain, I guess would be a better way to put it. There's just so much to do, so far to go, but we know that with God's help, we can accomplish what He has for us. Yeah, and I remember when I was selling books door-to-door, true story in Michigan. I was in Dearborn, Dearborn Heights.

We traveled around to Saginaw. I sold books for a company door-to-door called the Southwestern Company. I don't know if you guys remember seeing the kids, but what we would do is there was one guy who was like one of the top sales. He was the top salesperson that whole summer. And we were all sitting there and trying to figure out how is this guy the top salesperson.

And finally, the leader of the whole group came to us and he said, He's not the most talented. He's not the best looking. He's not slick. He's not any of that stuff. But he said he started to follow him and watch what he was doing.

And he said that he really wanted it. And when I hear you guys talking, I can hear your passion. I can hear that you want it. I can hear that you love kids, and I wonder if somebody wants to do something who is listening right now, if it starts with that desire in their heart where they've got to really want it. Yeah, I absolutely You follow Jesus, and Jesus gives you, it says that he'll give you the desires of your heart.

Well, read scripture. pray about it and he he wired each of us so uniquely And I think he the way that he connected Jordan and I, and he's using my teaching background and I did musical theater and Jordan, he had video background and he actually was in a punk rock band. And so like the way the Lord will use your past and will use how he made you for something beautiful if you just submit it to him. And another thing I'll add is: it's not always going to be easy.

However, God will make a way when you're following Him. You know, when we try to do things our own way, when we try to, hey, I really want it to be this way, well, then it gets hard. It gets really hard for a season until we are submitted to God and what God wants. And then things will fall into place and we'll be like, oh, Yeah, God, that's what you wanted us to do. That's how you wanted us to do it.

And then it's really fulfilling. That's awesome. And I heard Charles Spurgeon actually told a story one time about a king and his nobleman. And he said that the king and his noblemen were at his palace one day. And there was a peasant who came in and was granted an audience before the king.

And the peasant came in and he said, King, he said, I grew in my garden this huge carrot. He said, but I'm not even worthy of this carrot. It's so big and it's so good that it's only worthy of a king. And he said, I want to give you this present, this carrot as a gift. And the king was so touched by this peasant who was doing this for him.

He said, he said, sir, I'm going to give you 60 acres of land that's right near where you live. And so one of the king's noblemen who was listening to the whole thing thought this to himself. He said, well, if the king is going to give 60 acres to somebody for a carrot, he said, I wonder what he'll do. For a real gift. And so the next day, the nobleman comes in, and not with a carrot, but with a beautiful horse.

And he said, King, he said, you're such a wonderful king. I feel like that you deserve this horse. And you know what the king said to the guy? He said this. He said, that peasant yesterday, he said, he gave that carrot to me.

He said, but you gave that horse to yourself.

So in other words, the peasant was doing it for the right reasons, but you're doing it for the wrong reasons. And I know as you guys have grown and you've grown this YouTube channel and all of that, one of the toughest parts for me has been to live out what Jesus taught us. He says that when you do something, do it quietly. Don't do it for public applause. How do you guys, I guess, in that way, stay humble to do the right things for the right reasons?

Boy, that's good, good question, Michael. We both try to always give glory to God at our so we do live shows also, a concert. And one of the things I say at the concert is We're not here to praise Vinny and Jordan. We're here to praise Jesus. And um Yeah, all all the any accolades, like I'm it's nice when the Lord, you know.

has people compliment you and do that. We all like that. But ultimately, I I would do this for free. I'm doing this because Jesus called me to do it. And how about you, Jordan?

Yes, same exact thing. We would do this if there was nothing else involved, no monetary reward or anything, no fame. I would still do this if it just was able to touch Just a few kids, I would still do this because it's so important to share Jesus with the next generation, and we really feel called to do that. Yeah, and it's got to be a wonderful thing to think about how you're impacting these kids. And so, you know, my kids are always running around, they're always making noise and stuff like that.

But when we put on the good news, guys, it gets quiet in our living room. And they just, their eyes, I'm serious, their eyes are just glued to the screen. And I said, you know what? I said, there's a lot of bad stuff out there. And sometimes I feel like all the bad stuff gets all of the attention.

Like when you turn on the news, it's not the good news that they're sharing with you. But I've seen one of the shows that you did where you call it GNN the good news. Is that right? Yeah, welcome to Good News News. I'm your host, Binny.

Both our kids get a real kick out of that too when they see their dad up there on T V as a newsman. Absolutely.
