Welcome to Truth Talk Live. All right, let's talk the truth news. I can't hurt you! A daily program powered by the Truth Network. This is kind of a great thing, and I'll tell you what.
Where pop culture, current events, and theology all come together. Speak your mind. And now, here's today's Truth Talk Live host.
Well, good afternoon. I'm Dwayne Carson and I have a ministry called Date the Word, and it's my joy to host Truth Talk Live today and say to you right off the bat, today is a special day because It's September the 12th, and September the 12th, 9, 12, Hebrews 9, 12. It says, not with the blood of goats and calves, but with his own blood. He entered the most holy place once for all, having obtained eternal life. redemption.
Jesus Christ once and for all entered into the heavenly place, the holy place, and he obtained for all of us Eternal redemption. I wrote this today: salvation purchased and paid in full by the precious blood of Jesus. And that is what makes today a special day. You don't have to do anything, Jesus doesn't have to do anymore. Everything has been done that is needed for you to be saved.
All you need to do is call on Jesus today for salvation. And today, if you've never asked the Lord Jesus to be your Savior, He's Provided everything you need. He paid the price in full. Call on him today for salvation. Today, September the 12th, a special day.
It's also a special day because on September the 12th, Seventeen eighty-two uh Group of people in Congress said, We want to make sure our soldiers have Bibles. And I just learned this: that during the Revolutionary War, there was a shortage of Bibles because of the embargo. And the Congress said, We've got to get. Bibles printed for our soldiers, and they uh authorize money to be paid for English Bibles to be printed in America. Complete from Genesis to Revelation.
It's called the Atkin Bible. And that action was done today. And there's congressmen who would love to see September the 12th be a national Of the Bible. And so another very special day, September the 12th. And then when we think about.
what the Bible has meant to us as a nation. We go all the way back what took place in 1782, people recognizing our soldiers needed to have Bibles with them Today is also not just a special day. We have to be honest, it's a tough day. We've come to the end of a week where we already knew going into this week it was going to be tough because we remember 9-11. We recall those horrible events.
And even Now, 24 years later, there's pain and there's suffering, there's hurt from the events that took place that day, and people who are still grieving. The loss of loved ones, people still feeling the pain of being involved in the rescue. 9-11 brings up a lot of painful longing.
Well, then we ended up with A tragic event happening on September the 10th as Charlie Kirk is assassinated. He's martyred. That's the word I'm using. He was martyred for his faith, a martyr for Christianity. And how do we move forward?
Well, The good news is, we have the good news. We have the scriptures that we can go to. And I found it very interesting. Last night, Laura Ingram on her show, she made this statement. She has a great friendship with Charlie Kirk.
And she was just so broken, so hurt after he died. But last night, she said this. I th just think Hage would want all of us to slow down to day. Take a deep breath, and read a few chapters of the Gospel of Matthew. because that's who he was, and that is where his courage came from.
His faith was foundational.
So on today's Truth Talk Live, let's take the advice that the Laura Ingram has given that she believes Charlie Kirk would be giving us. Let's get to some scriptures to give us hope. As we go into this weekend to get the help we need, how do we respond? And I want to hear your thoughts. 866-348-7884.
I want to hear what your go-to scriptures. What are those foundational verses that help us when we're facing a day of trouble, when we're hurting? Where do we turn to? And right off the bat, we have a caller. Dr.
Tim Clinton is has called in and Dr. Clinton, one of the best men I know, because I had him as a professor when I was a student at Liberty and he poured into me. And Dr. Clinton, welcome to Truth Talk Live today. Dwayne, good to be on with you.
I understand that you had a very close relationship with Charlie Kirk. Charlie and I had become friends a few years back and Yeah, it was more more personal than anything. And really appreciated who he was. The Charlie Kirk I knew was um quite a man who understood that relationships were the currency of our day. really cared earnestly about, um his relationship with his wife.
We talked a lot about what love and marriage is like Charlie wanted to make sure Erica understood how much He loved her. Uh he loved um they He loved being a dad. There wasn't any. Anything? For more joy in his heart than Uh the embracer.
So this kid. Yeah. Charlie, um really uh we we had a a number of uh conversations about what does it mean to really emotionally connect with your kids. Uh to Right to be and and develop that attachment bond. with children.
You know, he also was a Charlie, Charlie's a big guy. I don't know if you know that, Dwayne, if you've been around him. Charlie's pretty tall. uh first time I ever met him, uh, we had talked, uh, couple of times my phone and set up an opportunity for us to connect I'm in Phoenix. I flew out and uh we had dinner together.
When he walked in the room, I was like, dude, Yeah, you're a big man. But you know what? He was big in stature, but he was big. in terms of personality. He had this infectious smile.
Charlie was fun. He was funny. I'm serious. He loved to clown around a little bit. Um he's a big sports guy.
I don't know if you know that too, but he I love the Oregon ducks. He's constantly sending me ducks, Dwayne. And you know, Liberty wound up playing Oregon. I don't know how many different sports over the last two years in particular. They beat the daylights out of us.
I hate ducks, you know that. But anyway, and he loved, he loved sending me greenhead ducks. It's just pictures. this way of just need to go in a little bit but Charlie Yeah. Um he also had uh a real affinity for friendship, you know, just Maybe not a lot, but he you know, friendship was important to him.
to know him. To know him, not know about him, but to know him was to love him. Charlie had that kind of way about him. But the most important relationship, Wayne, and I'll end here. was his his relationship with God.
Charlie had an affection for our Heavenly Father. He knew life was all about Jesus. And he wanted to stand for truth. truth and live with a clear heart and a clear mind. Hm.
Well, you have shared some great insights about this man that many of us would say we knew about. And you've had the privilege to know him. And I think some of the images that I will take away from this week is that he had done the Laura Ingram show back on Monday. And people. People caught some pictures of his daughter running up to him in the hallway.
And what a special moment. Dr. Clinton, thank you for calling in today. I don't know if you can stay with us tonight. I know you got a thousand things going on.
We need to go to a break, but we certainly appreciate you and how God's using you. And we're going to talk about some Bible verses to help us get through this weekend. This is Truth Talk Live, and we'll be back in just a couple minutes. You're listening to The Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to Truth Talk Live.
It's September the 12th. I'm Dwayne Carson. And today we have with us Dr. Tim Clinton. Dr.
Clinton, a professor at Liberty University for years, heads up the American Association of Christian Counselors. And Dr. Clinton, we're so glad you've had a few moments to call in and talk with us about Charlie Kirk. This week We've faced a range of emotions. Would you agree with that?
Yeah, you know when I am on my way home from Washington right now. a White House prayer visual and memorial service for the White House staff up there. Uh Charlie Kirk. And um When I went up to the podium, my first words were just to. the vice president for How he honored Charlie yesterday.
I thought it was very amazing. I don't know if you watched that on television. Yeah. And landing there in Phoenix Airport, you know, the the controllers were saying, Welcome home, Charlie, and Vice President walked with the casket and more. And I know they honored Erica.
you know, and uh their family, but um Yeah, I I'm like you. I mean, I think the the nation's numb. I think we're shocked. I think we are um deeply grieved. And I'm going to add a P.S.
I think the emotions are swinging into anger. I think people are really. angry about what's happened. Yeah, there's a heart sickness. You go back to Uh what happened earlier in the week with that uh young girl in Charlotte, North Carolina on that light train rail.
And uh you got um you know, a horrific situation where Um How many people watched the gruesome murder? of that girl on that on that light rail And people were just trying to deal with that. Horrific evil. heinous act of murdering Charlie Kirk there at Utah Valley. uh university and It's just like processing it, it's extremely dramatic.
And I'm thinking about all the people who actually were there as college students who witnessed that live. I'm thinking about everybody who all the kids who probably get up and watch the video of it and more. They what they saw is etched in their minds forever. Um You know, this this dice stuff to the soul. of all of us and to the soul of the nation.
And we've got to be praying earnestly, Duane, you know, in the midst of this, that God helps calm us for a moment, remind us of his faithfulness. And somehow we we journey through this process, hopefully, together. Yeah. Yeah. I turned to the scriptures.
Um I I immediately I think of like Romans twelve, twenty one to combat that uh desire for me to uh do something Evil And I'm reminded from Romans 12, 21 that you overcome evil by doing good. And, all right, I've got to do good. I cannot respond to evil with evil. And pray. President Trump was asked this morning on Fox and Friends.
What would he tell? Charlie Kirk's followers, supporters, on how to respond, do they retaliate? And he said, no, no, that wouldn't be Charlie's way. That's not how he would respond with violence. That's not the right way.
It's not the Christian way. What would be a good go-to verse right now for the one that is really hurting? What would you tell them? No, it's interesting. Erica Kirk posted, I think it was just just a few minutes before the Um The assassination of Charlie.
Psalm forty six verse one, it says God is our refuge and our strength. He's a present help during times of trouble. And I'll add verse 2: Therefore, we won't fear, though the earth be removed and the mountains be cast into the depths of the sea. And then there's this beautiful poetic metaphoric language. That flows from Verse two all the way down to verse ten.
That just is reminding us that no matter what, God's in the midst of it, Duane. God is in the midst of it, God's in the midst of it. Therefore, verse 10 says, Be still, and know that I am God. The idea there is of a prize fighter literally dropping his hands. In other words, Seems to Drive.
Stop, calm yourself for a moment, remind yourself that God. is in the midst of it all. We look to him, we ask him for wisdom. We ask him for direction. We asked him how to be strong.
Benny Johnson, by the way. Um put up on uh uh on twitter uh a piece that i I shared his um Here's what he said. Charlie's example is not. It's not just inspiring, it's a call for. all of us to stand firm in our beliefs Because he did.
to shine a light in the darkness and to speak truth. and to live boldly in our faith. We don't live in desperation. My son Zach said, Dad, we live in determination. We transition.
And we were resolved to, quote, stand even more firmly and to be more bold about what it means. Because, hey, I know if Charlie were here, the one thing he would say to us, I know this, I shared it today, it was this. Make sure you understand eternity. And what it means to have a relationship with Christ. That's the most important thing.
Charlie knew what his future was all about. It was Christ, it was heaven. And Dwayne, we hold on to that so we sorrow not as those who have no hope. We hold on to our faith, our hope in Christ. And um We overcome, like you said.
By the blood of the Lamb and the power of our testimony is what we do. We stand strong. We don't have to quote, by the way, lay down, that's not what we're talking about. We're talking about rising up and being strong in what we believe. That's the gift of life.
That's not a death culture, that's a life culture. Oh yeah. Yeah. I I thought about The story of Stephen. As I saw all this happen.
And I'm thinking Stephen went into the marketplace. That's what Charlie did. He went into the marketplace and he had open discussion and he shared what he believed about Christ. And he asked others to, all right, what do you think? Prove me wrong.
Well, there's Stephen. You know the story in Acts 7, how he's talking. talking to these Jews about Jesus being the real Messiah. He is the one the prophets prophesied of. And they got so angry they stoned him.
And I wondered. What was it like? the day after for Christians in Jerusalem. And Acts 8 tells us what it was like. The persecution got worse.
But They got stronger, and everywhere they went, they preached the gospel. And some guy named Saul. It became the Apostle Paul. And so here's people right now who are laughing. that Charlie Kirk was killed.
It's okay to say it's disgusting. It sure is. Yeah, it's evil in heart. But what what my prayer would be is that because of our testimony. We're going to respond differently.
We're not going to retaliate. We're going to love. We're going to love our enemies. And then from that comes, Saul's will become Paul. And I people who I mean Saul can sent it.
to Stephen's death and then became a greater persecutor of Christians. But then look what happened to him. And I pray that because of what's happened to Charlie Kirk, what will happen to his followers, men like you who will stand strong, and your son, I thank God for him, as he stands strong, there are going to be so many people going to realize, you know what? Charlie Kirk's God is the one true God, and that's the way we really do need to be living. Um Jim, I've got Jeremiah on the phone here.
I'm going to bring him on. Jeremiah is calling in from New Mexico. Jeremiah, you've been hearing us talk here. Give us some thoughts. What are you thinking right now as you've been hearing us talk?
But as, well, I apologize, Jeremiah. There's my music. We're going to be right back in about three minutes. And Jeremiah, we're going to get your thoughts. I know that you had, you really thought a lot of Charlie Kirk.
And this is Truth Talk Live. We'll be right back after these messages. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to Troof Talk Live. It's September the 12th, 2025, and it's been a Rough week.
Um We've experienced the loss of uh Tremendous Christian leader Charlie Kirk and uh We're going to the scriptures because that's what we turn to as Christians. What does God have to say? And what does he have to say for us, to us? Um he has verses that comfort us. strengthen us.
But also guide us. And I've got Jeremiah from New Mexico. He's called in. And Jeremiah, love to get some of your thoughts. We had Dr.
Tim Clinton on, and He had a personal relationship with Charlie Kirk, and he shared that. For him, again, Faith was first, and we're being reminded. No one is promised tomorrow. Uh, you've got to be ready to meet the Lord at any moment, and Charlie was ready to. He had just shared there on Wednesday about his faith and that he loved the Lord.
Jeremiah Well tell us what you're thinking right now. Hi, Duane. Thanks for having me.
Well, I guess yesterday when the news broke out and I heard about what happened to Charlie, I immediately just felt wrecked. My heart was. Broken. I feel like he. is a picture of the ideals of our nation.
and committed to free speech. I loved how he engaged The young Uh College students.
So across our nation. He was uh a great model. He Was looking to engage them and just have a conversation. And he was. very gentle and loving and passionate.
And so he wasn't looking for a yes men, but he was looking just to have a conversation with people that. Especially those who disagreed from his perspective, and I could see that he. Wanted to convince people. And so he had a very compelling way of engaging. That age group.
And, you know, it wasn't just for me, but We were going on our way to get our children from school. picked them up and uh I got a text from my son my wife did and He had heard what happened to Charlie Kirk, and he said that When he saw that, his heart felt like it stopped and it took the wind out of him. And I feel like that is something that happened to many. youth, high school and college-age students all across America, God has just used Charlie Kirk in such a dynamic way to be a prophet, to be a voice to our culture. In such a great way to help advocate for Judeo-Christian ethic and values in our nation.
And so We have been deeply grieved. We have been sad. And we have felt angry at times. And so the question is like, what do you do? And I'm a pastor too, so it's like how do I respond In a time like this.
And so I just did not know what to say. I did not know what to do. But then you turn to Scripture. When you get the response of the flash Our flesh, you know. It's We feel the fear, right?
We feel the anger, we feel the pride, we feel all the things. And we don't want to react out of those things. And I think. especially as a leader. As a husband and as a father, I want to be quick to try to fix.
And I feel like situations like these. feels so impossible. With scripture, I couldn't agree with Uh, Tim Moore, when he says Psalm 46:10, that's what came to my heart because I wanted to react. And it just was clear. It's like, you know, in these moments, it's just the best thing is to be.
Still. And know that I am God. It says I will be exalted among the nations. And I will be exalted in the earth. And I can't think of a better way just to pause.
and just stop. And one of the things we just need to know in these moments when our security has been shaken to our core is that God is God. And I think this speaks to God's sovereignty. that there are going to be times in this life Where we will go through circumstances that are just the result of living. in a world that is under the curse of sin.
Jesus promised us that we can guarantee that this world, you will have troubles. Yes. But take heart. I have overcome the world.
So this speaks to the prevailing sovereignty of God. He says, I. Will I think this ultimately speaks to the future Reign of Christ when everything is brought under his sovereign authority and he is reigning here. On Earth, and we will one day, you know, we look forward to the day when. The wolf will lie down with the lamb.
I used to think it was the lion with the lamb, but the scripture says the wolf will lie down with the lamb, by the way. and where he will wipe away every tear from every eye. And so as believers, I think this This verse just helps us to pause so we don't react out of the flesh. And then we can just refocus and reorient our Hards.
So that we can trust that God is still in control. You know, Scripture called us, we are to be on mission for Christ and we're. Be engaged in the Great Commission, one of the worst things we can do. is to react in a way that uh is violent. And that discredits our testimony.
And really, Supports the idea that we're not trusting in God.
So we want to be confident in this moment in God's sovereignty and care. over our life, even though Um Things are hard in the moment that we cannot explain. Jeremiah, thank you for this. I just want to throw it to our Our listeners love to hear your thoughts on scripture that will be foundational as we deal with troubles. 866-348-7884.
And we're hearing now. Yeah. From Dr. Tim Clinton. We're hearing from Jeremiah, pastor in New Mexico, two times now.
We've heard Psalms 46, 10. And I think listeners, if you're not familiar with that verse, You've got children. You know, Charlie Kirk impacted teenagers. I've heard so many stories of the young teenagers, 13, 14, they're listening to him and they need a word from God right now. And both Dr.
Clinton and Jeremiah have shared here Psalms 46:10, Be still and know that I am God. And that Psalm is written at a time of turmoil. And here's Charlie Kirk's wife. Tweeting up before it even happens, something has spoken to her heart that God is a refuge in a time of trouble. And um Wow.
Hey, Jeremiah, we've got...
Somebody you might recognize, a guy by the name of Dr. Ed Gomes. All right. Dr. Gomes, welcome to Truth Talk Live.
Thank you, man. It's a joy listening to you. I know you have some scriptures that would give hope. to the hurting. What you got for us?
You know, as I was listening to uh uh Jeremy, just a minute ago, the scripture that jumped out to me was in the same chapter but a different verse. And that was Psalm 46, 1. Yes, sir. That God is our refuge And in the midst of you know, what we saw take place Wednesday I was reminded that in the midst of all that, God is our. Refuge.
And so you know, as I think of the way he He used the platform Uh that he used It reminded me that he was light in salt And he uh was gentle. He knew what he believed. He knew what he wanted to communicate but in the way that he communicated it, you could tell that those that he was communicating with there was a genuine love for them And so Uh Psalm forty six one Matthew 5. Sixteen. Uh And then you're going to have to tell our listeners Matthew 5, 16.
In Matthew 5:16, Jesus talked about each of us. Being what? Light? In salt. Yes.
What Charlie was He was light and he was salt. And I I'm very appreciative And he was consistent. with those two things. I heard a commentator say It seemed like Charlie Kirk was Billy Graham. And Rush Limbaugh.
Billy Graham, the evangelist, the light, Rush Limbaugh, the salt. Um And he had that ability. to communicate both The the need of Christ for salvation, but also that there is a way to live a righteous life. And righteousness exalts a nation. And there is things that we're supposed to be doing as we live our lives on this earth that especially that we don't do harm to others.
And Charlie was firm on that. Um Doctor Gomes. Uh I I so appreciate you giving a call in. Any other words you'd want to give us today? I've got another caller from Ohio I need to bring on, but I want to, anything else you would like to share about.
giving hope today to especially parents who are working with teenagers right now who are They're scratching their heads. What just happened to one of my heroes? You know, one of the things that we see in our Master Teacher, Jesus. is Jesus always took every day life situations And he used them to Uh teach. And so my encouragement to Uh parents is to use this to teach about who God is.
A youth is to teach about who Cali was. you know, use this to teach about what we can do in the midst of of something that comes at us. that is contrary to what we believe. How can we respond to it?
So my encouragement, Dwayne, is ask God for wisdom as a p and use it as a teachable moment. in the life of your son or your daughter or your grandson. Or your granddaughter. You and I worked together many years at Liberty, and one of the things that we had to. constantly remind ourselves of Uh when a person reveals their character We now have to reveal their character.
And what you just shared was just beautiful. Um Yeah. as you laid out You gotta have that wisdom. Um Have the discussion. Let's Be genuine with your teenagers.
Yes, evil is in this world. But God is greater than the evil. We're going to be going to a break and then I'm going to be coming back to Jeremiah and then I got Buck Smith from Dayton, Ohio. This is Truth Talk Live and we're talking about hope from the scripture. When we're facing days of trouble, give us a call.
You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to Truth Talk Live. I'm Dwayne Carson. Ministry is Date the Word. We have an app you can Can download that, and you can see a verse for every date, and like today, Hebrews 9:12, and you're going to find out.
When you read Hebrews 9:12, that Jesus has provided everything we need for salvation. There's nothing more He needs to do, and there's not one thing we need to do except for call on Him for salvation. And that's the verse for today's date. And we've got Jeremiah on the phone right now, we got Ed on the phone right now, and I've got Buck Smith from Dayton, Ohio. Buck Smith, what do you have for us today?
Hope. for the herding from the scriptures. Wow, Pastor Carson, I've got to share this with you. St. Nick, the producer.
Mm. Everybody that's listening to Truth Talks Live right now. Um we're all We're all grieving and we're all processing this. in our own individual ways.
So I believe God has given me a psalm, Pastor Carson, that will reach. everyone because this psalm It touches on just about every emotion that you could feel. in in situations like the loss, the horrific Murder. of Charlie Kirk, uh just a a the Strength of God. embodied in a thirty-one year old man And I'll give you that psalm in just a second, but I have to say this, thank you, Carson.
Um When I grow up, I'm 56 years old. When I grow up, I want to be just like Charles Kirk. I want to be just like Charlie Kirk. The psalm is psalm 37, and I would just like to read a few of it, Pastor Carlson, if that's okay. Sure.
What a great psalm. You really have hit on a nerve there with Psalm 37. Absolutely. not yourself because of evil doers. Be not edgy.
envious of wrongdoers. And in the ESB, Pastor Carson, there's an exclamation point, so he's shouting it. There's so much to shouting at please. He's emotional, but they will soon fade like the grass. and wither like the green herbs.
Trust in the Lord. And I'm doing good. dwell in the land and Befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord. He will give you the desires of the good heart.
Commit your way to the Lord. Trust him. And he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness. as the light and you're just Add the noon day and I'll stop there past the park.
At verse 6, please read the rest of that psalm. It will sustain you in this time of grieving in this time of pain. And I'm going to say this, Pastor Carson, even those who feel a sense of a sense of of vengeance. They want to make it right. Remember that Romans 12.
Paul says, vengeance is mine. Mm. Yes. I will also present this, brother. In Psalm 149, it talks about.
Uh the same worshiping the sword begins our hand. in order to bring justice to the nation. That's Psalm 149. I do want to say this. All my law-abiding citizens now that you'll carry for a minute, or like me.
Live in an open carry state. Here in Ohio, we're allowed to carry our production. Protection ultimately. And I would say, do that, not for us. But to left.
See people who don't know Christ yet. Know that we will protect them because if someone tries to pull that. On a community that we're in, and we can neutralize the system so that lost people can remain alive.
so that we Christians can then evangelize them. That's a good reason to carry your protection. And I I I No, I I I'm probably stepping out on a limb there, but There's a reason why we have the Second Amendment. And that is to be our fellow citizens and as Christians We have Uh the non-Christian Because we cannot reach Christ. to them if they're dead.
Yeah, what um I'm going to end on there.
So praise God.
So those who have Uh I I have I've known Weather curve. Blessings on his wife and his two little kids. Yes. And. Keep praying for them and stay wide eyed.
and protect your family and protect your community. If they see Christians, with their protection openly. The evil heart, a wicked heart, would be less likely The do what happened in Utah two days ago. Yeah, we weren't.
Well, I love that you have shared Psalms 37. We've been looking at Psalms 46. Psalms 37. I think that will be a great. Chapter for parents of teenagers, especially, to be looking at this weekend as they talk through.
What happened? Bucksmith, thank you for your call. We hope you have a wonderful weekend. Yeah. God bless you, Truth Talk Live, and you too, Dr.
Carson. Bye-bye. I've got Jamal from Winston Salem. Jamal, welcome to Truth Talk Live today. What you got for us?
Well as uh always Brother Carson, Brother Dr. Carson, excuse me, I want to thank you for taking my call and I want to thank you all for talking about this topic is uh It's a Important topic, and it's just an emotional topic. And I know I'm up against the clock here, so I'll try to. you know, kind of go rapid fire here. Charlie Kirk was somebody that I really looked up to.
And he was A real important figure. here for this for this nation. And not just because he was a a p a political guy, but he was a Christian first. And we say that. He was unapologetic, he was unashamed about his Christianity, but he could also defend it.
And when you can stand on firm ground. When you have a good foundation. it gives you much more confidence to speak out and to fight against what is not constructive. And he did that. And he said, well, look, if you don't believe me, go look it up yourself.
The facts are out there, the evidence is out there. And when somebody doesn't like the facts, doesn't like the evidence so much that they wanna kill somebody, Yeah. That We we cannot have that. That that that's not That's not good for anybody. If we can't speak out on what's good, true, beautiful and what's constructive, We don't have a society.
Okay. Like another quote quote from Edmund Burke. All it takes for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing. You know, you want to talk about righteousness and all that, but and all this, but if we can't have laws and structure and we want to and people want to shoot us down for that, you can rip up the Constitution, you can rip up any law. If somebody just wants to kill somebody, it's a silence their voice.
So let's not result to violence. Let's speak out even more about what's true, good, beautiful and also most definitely what's Christian. And that's what's going to take us forward. And thank you for your time, Brother Dr. Carson.
God bless you all, bless all the listeners, Truth Talk Live, and bless Truth Talk and and this nation and all the Christians. And I also will end with this. For those that are lost, come to the Christ because of Jesus. It's the best way to go. Thank you.
God bless. Thank you, Jabal. Um I still have Jeremiah on the phone. Jeremiah, the thoughts that, as you've been hearing, different conversations here. We're going to be headed into Sunday.
What would you be saying to pastors now? What do they need to be bringing to their people Sunday morning? I would say make spare For people to grieve. And then point them to the hope of Christ. Yeah.
This is a really sad and dark chapter in the American Story, and that's a sad story for people's lives right now. And I'm just reminded of Matthew 5. 4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. That's a forward-looking passage.
