Welcome to Truth Talk Live. All right, let's talk the truth news. I can't hide it. A daily program powered by the Truth Network. This is kind of a great thing, and I'll tell you what.
Where pop culture, current events, and theology all come together. Speak your mind. And now, here's today's Truth Talk Live host. How did James Dobson His ministry, his life impact your life today on. Truth Talk Live.
I'm so excited to hear. I know he impacted my life a great deal. I know he impacted Dr. Date the word Carson's life a great deal. But how about you?
What? Was it Something you heard on Focus in the Family? Was it one of his books? Dare to discipline? What was it that, man, had a huge impact on your life?
We're celebrating, sirly, sincerely celebrating. James Dobson's Life Today on Truth Talk Live. And part of that is we got to hear from you: 866-348-8. 7884 is the number to call in and share 866-348 7884. What an amazing man.
And just to give you a taste of what he sounded like, we have. Short sound bite here to give us a little idea of what he was about. The family is like the red blood cell. in the body. it carries a globule of oxygen.
And the family carries the oxygen to the body, having to do with the gospel. And so. That is uh What I'm trying to do is to use the family, strengthen the family, support the family. and therefore pass on the gospel of Jesus Christ to others. Yeah, what an impact he had, right, Doc?
Absolutely. And just hearing that voice, that smoothing cut. Confident voice. And for him, the family was. crucial, essential.
I did a quick thing on quotes by James Dobson, the first thing that came up, there's nothing more important than parents passing on a generational legacy of faith and values to their children. That's his legacy. Oh, and it really you know, it's really, really cool to Have been impacted by him, to see people impacted by him, and all the chances we have here to celebrate that today. We have one of the casts of Adventures in Odyssey with us. It'll be on in the second segment, Ann Alt.
But we need you. We would love to hear how he impacted your life. 866-348-7884. 866-348-7884. I'll go off first and say, you know.
I I Long before I worked for Truth Broadcasting, not all that long, but I always listened to Truth Broadcasting. I probably listened to Focus on the Family before it aired on Truth Broadcasting. But anyway. When my children were quite small, her to focus on the family program. And Dr.
Dobson was talking about That the average father spends less than Like three minutes a week. In meaning a week. in meaningful conversation with their children. And it was it was Uh I couldn't I'm just saying what struck me was that's absurd. But when I really started to look at it and think about, wait a minute, I go to work at 7 in the morning, I come home, I was in the car business at the time, sometimes 8, 9, 10 o'clock.
You know, if I spoke to him, it was on Sunday or whatever, and what was that? Was my meaningful conversation? I'm like, oh my goodness, ding, ding, ding, ding, conviction, conviction, conviction. And so I went to my wife. I, I, I, I.
Obviously, got the conviction, prayed, God, what do I do? What do I do here? And he. God, the Holy Spirit gave me the idea of Robbie. Why don't you take your kids to school every day and why don't you pick them up?
Because at the time I was um General manager/slash president of a car dealership here in Winston-Salem. And I Had some control over my own schedule. And I said, okay. I'm going to do that. And then the Lord gave me the idea of let's Talk through The Bible on the way there on the way home.
In other words, we would we started in Genesis 1 and we would begin that conversation so that we always had something to talk about and they always knew where we were going. And it was an amazing like... What an investment in my. Um L family. But Believe me when I tell you, those conversations, because they were always about the Bible all the way through the New Testament, we finished Revelation.
right before Robbie got his driver's license. And began driving himself. My oldest son being Robbie, my daughter being Tess. And so. Uh God allowed me to do that.
And It it it it it you know, all all the meaningful conversations and stuff that happened as a result of of one focus in the family program. Through the Bible with Robbie. I love it. And yeah, one program. One program.
Changed. Who knows him in your lives? Because you took that challenge of Am I going to be a statistic of I only give three minutes a week? To my children. No, I'm not going to do that.
And that's the impact James Dobson had on so many. And I'm going to say it right now. fathers. He had impact on the On the Family. But for me, I think his real legacy is he was a man's man.
Who challenged fathers to be fathers? And that's how I took from him his dare to discipline. to discipline With Love. Not anger. My father Uh I don't want to even say the word discipline.
He punished, and his correction was. For me, I look back now and say, overcorrected. I got balance from James Dobson. On how to discipline with love. I call it a discipline that brought about discipleship.
That's beautiful. And I know you're thinking of something, and we would love to hear it, but you've got to pick up the phone and call. 8663487884 James Dobson 8 August 21st, 2025. He I'm promoting it. Presence of the Lord.
Amazing, right? 89 years, married 65. How about that? For someone who promoted the family, lived it. And he's survived by his wonderful wife, Surely.
And I gotta say the I've saw him in person numerous times, but I only talked to him in person once. He was i i i at the hall in the NRB and I was with Stu, and Stu and and Doctor Dobson were pretty good friends and they spoke often. And I happened to be there when we all engaged in this conversation in the hall and his wife was with him. And and as she often was, if you saw 'em, They would be together. They were a power couple for evangelicalism.
Right. Genuine man, a a very humble, you know, soft spoken as he sounded in the radio. He didn't have a booming voice. He's just there and he was himself completely. It was really a neat opportunity for me.
It was one of those things clearly I want for. But what we know about him through the years with his positions on pro-life, if it was a candidate. Didn't matter, Democrat or Republican, if they wavered on pro-life, he walked out of the room. Yeah, it it was it was a classic example of don't take kindness for weakness. You couldn't ask for a kinder man, but there wasn't a weak bone.
No, he stood firm for what was biblically right. I definitely was. And it was a beautiful thing to experience.
So was it one program for you? Was it something you learned in one of his books? You know, something that just grabbed you one time that you heard on the radio. Come on, y'all are listening to this. I know you were impacted.
We want to hear from you. 866-348-7884. One of my other all-time favorite stories. Was I heard an episode one time, and I was just something that I heard, but I've never forgotten it. That This man had lost his wife, and he was being interviewed.
He talked about how, and the episode was on prayer, and he talked about after losing his wife, and I couldn't tell you who he is. But I can tell you, he said this. He said. When I first lost my wife, it was like I was picking up the phone and calling God because I needed to. talk to him.
But as time went on, I stayed on the phone more and more until Sunday. I never hung up. And I've never forgotten that. What did you never forget? 866-348-7884, we got Ann Alt coming up.
We'll be right back. You're listening to the truth network and truthnetwork.com. Welcome back to Truth Talk Live today. How did James Dobson Maybe his books Focus on the family adventures and odyssey, something along these lines, it impacted you. it it changed something in you.
It made an effect. And You know, God clearly worked through James Dobson, and through that work, He works on you. And, you know, I can't help but know that. Man, there was a lot of prayer. That went into every one of those shows, every one of those episodes of Adventures and Odyssey.
Every one of those things, God was leading, as you can tell by all the fruit, you know, that clearly God was involved in it. And so, what a treat to think about for me. Adventures and Odyssey, for those who know me well, know it had a great impact on my life. Was how the idea came about for Christian Cargai Theater. And so I thought we'd play a few seconds of it.
Go ahead and play it, Nick. Adventures Novice Oh, hi there. I was just working on one of my inventions here. I'm John Avery Whittaker, but you can call me Whit. And this is Odyssey.
Hey! Let's see if this thing works. Eight six six three four eight. 7884, the number to call in and share. Adventures Notice had an effect on you.
It was huge. It's gigantic. 866348. Seven eight eight four. We have our good friend Ann Alt with us who uh Was in many, many adventures.
Actually, I was looking at the episodes that you were in. That's an adventure. But we should just talk about some of the characters that you played. That as we go through this list, it seemed like if they had an extra bad guy to cast. A bad woman, I guess.
They picked you because not only did you you played Queen. Queen Jezebel. Treen Jezebel Oh, put it down, Iliaga That's one of the lines, oh Lord, that's still in my brain. Yeah. Yes, you you have that.
And then Interestingly. Like Not only Jezebel, but you played Potiphar's wife. For those who are like me, that name may have escaped you. Joseph was, you know, Potiphar's wife's the one that tried to seduce him and grabbed his garment as he ran out the door. And so, do you remember being a king?
Uh Mrs. Potter? Of course. Oh man, you know, God is so amazing. Just to encourage listeners who are trying to find their life's dream and their life's work and that sort of thing, but when we're faithful and a little The Lord gives us power over much and my acting career was just a miracle.
Because I was fatty four eyes as a kid. But it also equipped me to know a lot of things about emotions and characters and. And And I was so shy, but it my shyness led me to play make-believe, which led to an acting career and gave my life to the Lord. performing with adventures, you know, with you guys, and it has been such an adventure. Oh, it has an adventure.
It has.
So I can't help but ask. You also played the Countess of Bovine. Yeah. Do you remember? Maybe somebody out there can remember some of these characters from Adventures and Odyssey.
I would imagine those were the ones where they went back in the time machine. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah. But uh as far as the Potiphar's wife and Jezebel, but Yeah. The Countess of Bovine, can you bring up that voice?
Oh, Lord.
Well, they were all probably much like this sort of thing, or or very much like this sort of thing. Or just any old thing that you want, we do, you see, my darling. Yes. That's all through it. Oh yes.
Those who are not regular Christian Cargai Theater listeners or listen to Christian Carr guy, we have you know, our Christian Cargai Theater we've done for 17, 18 years, and Ann has certainly been one of the stars of that over the years, played many, many, many different characters, too many to count in our dramas. But it was certainly inspired by Adventures in the Odyssey, and we wanted to have something for the kids on the Truth Network as well. And so you know, Ann Um has a brain tumor. And so, unfortunately, it's messed with her memory tremendously. And so, just to have you on today, right, and to think about.
you know, what it what it was, how fun to play on that cast and Some of those memories have escaped you, but have you got anything that you can remember that the listeners might enjoy?
Well Mm-hmm. Not so much. I mean, I do I do all sorts of voices. I can do things up here and be very much like that. Or I can be really yucky like this.
I mean, is you know, when you're when you're growing up as a shy, fat, fatty four eyes, You know, and isn't it amazing how the Lord prepares us for these different things in our lives, including an acting career? Because I was fatty four-eyes, I I I did a lot of uh im imagination things, you know, and like a manag the imagination station type thing. But I mean, I I I would do all these things, and little did I know the Lord was uh Preparing me for a career in acting. But to work with you guys. That is the epitome to me of what the Lord prepared me for, because to be able to do, to glorify the Lord or show the reality of good and evil.
And God's amazing ability in our lives to help us to overcome. and to choose his way, not the wrong way. It you know, I've I've just loved it. I love I love doing And I can assure you that that um You know, again, I've been friends with Anne for years and years, and I can remember many stories of adventures and odyssey, and just to share how God worked through that. felt led to begin the actors co op, sort of a a Christian actors guild there in Hollywood.
Hollywood Presbyterian Church. Right. Hollywood Presbyterian Church. And that led to her connections with the people at Adventures and Odyssey and and eventually led to her moving out here to Charlotte where she Met us at the Christian Chamber of Commerce. And it's amazing how God, like you always say, don't despise the place of small beginnings.
That's right. My boy Faith in the Little. You know, he gives us power over much.
Well, thank you. And we're so blessed that you had time to. Share with us today, and I hope you have an amazing day down there in Mississippi. Oh, I will. I will.
And bless you all. I just, it makes me homesick for you. We love you, my friend. Bye-bye. Love you.
Bye-bye. All right. How about you? Eight six six three four eight 7884-866-348-7884. How did James Dobson focus on the family, those kind of things?
How did they impact you?
Well, I know a huge one for you, Doc. Yeah. was a graduation speech you got to hear one time. Yeah. Um Dr.
Dobson came to Liberty University for the 1993 graduation and um when he re arrived he he had a trophy. a tennis trophy, and I was to take it out and put it beside the podium. And during his speech, he made one of the most classic statements I've ever heard regarding life. As he said, life will trash your trophies. And then he tells the story about how he had won this trophy playing tennis.
He went to USC, University of Southern California, played tennis there, and he had won a trophy. Not a national championship, not even a conference champion, just a championship at some tournament. And he kept it. And one day, I guess his wife is going through cleaning up. It's like, what in the world?
And she threw it in the trash. And he saw it. He was upset. Like, what, Shirley, what are you doing? And she said, you got to be kidding me.
That trophy, that's something that's meaningful to you. That's just a trophy of winning some stupid tennis game years ago. And God spoke to him about. You know what? You gotta play for things that really matter, for the things that are eternal.
And he said to those graduating students, Life will trash your trophies. And I've never forgotten that. Play for what really matters. Live for what really matters. What have you never forgotten?
As a result of James Dobson's life, call us 866-348. 7-884-866-34TRIS. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. How did James Stop slow. Impact Your life.
866-348. Seven eight eight four we're having. Quite a celebration today as we hear how so many people have been affected by. Other ministries that focus on the family, adventures in Odyssey, and then. Family Talk.
The last few years, you may know, he had another radio program that we also had here on the Truth Network. And to give you a little soundbite from that one, Nick, go ahead. Hello, everyone. You're listening to Family Talk, the radio broadcasting ministry of the James Dobson Family Institute. I'm Dr.
James Dobson, and thank you for joining us for this program. Uh Yeah, I remember well, I really do when Stu came to me and told me that James Dobson was starting a new program called Family Talk. We were going to carry it. It was exciting. And You know, he started that ministry and they built a complex there at Colorado Springs.
I think at the height, they had like 1,300 employees there. I've been able to go there and tour it. Me too. And one of the things that I would call the benefits of having been the campus pastor Liberty is how many students would go to work there. And I'd write recommendations.
And then I was out there to do a wedding, drove over, and they took me on a tour to see all the things. I got to see the studio where Adventures of Odyssey was being recorded. But then where did he do focus on the family? And that talk show, whether it was Focus on the Family, whether it was the James Dobson Family Talk, he used that microphone. to speak into people's hearts.
And I gotta believe there's some listeners right now that heard him speak into their hearts, and they need to call, because here's the other side, Robbie. If we tell the truth right now about James Dobson. Dying, going to heaven at 89 years of age, there are some younger people. who don't know that name. They, matter of fact, I talked to a guy today, 37 years of age.
He had no idea who I was going to be talking about today when I said James Dobson because as the years go on, but he had such an impact on our lives in the 90s and in the 2000s. I mean, serving the Lord even with the president's counsel, even up to his death. But there may be people right now that younger had never heard focus on the family.
So if you're listening right now, give us a call. Share with us how James Dobson impacted your heart, your family. 866-348-7884 is the number. Give us a call. We got Mike.
is in Dayton, Ohio. Mike, here on Truth Talk Live. Hey, Mike. Hi, hi buddy. Um My me and my wife were talking about it and, um, James Dobson and She said Yeah.
He said so much, you forget who said it. And it's so true. everything he said out of his mouth is this spoke to your heart. And uh And then you you you really you realize what you just concentrate on what he said and not so much who said it. And uh And um I looked in a box in my living room here where I got a bunch of books for my dad.
And on the top, there's three or four books of doctor Dean's Dawson. And of course, I'm going to dig him out of there after this show and after knowing that he passed away. Yeah, I'm sure he impacted our lives. You know what I mean? When you're a young Uh Family man.
you're on the go and you just listen and you don't really you know, think about who's talking, but I'm sure he spoke to us, I'm sure. Yeah, that's awesome, Mike. Again, those those programs, like you say, In fact, uh, you know, one of my favorite Preachers out there, every time he he preaches, he says something along the lines of May my words fall away and blow off And may what God says, you know, remain. And so I know James Dobson feels that way. Um That his words aren't necessarily what's important, it's what impact the fruit of the words that God allowed him to.
to share whatever message he was sharing. And like I said, and you know, both episodes that really impacted my life tremendously. I couldn't tell you who said it. That's matter. Like you said, it's what matters is: I know I was listening to focus on the family, and I.
You know, and I I knew the the impact that those things had and Um you know, on my life in so many different ways, but uh Mike, I appreciate your call. As always, your wife. You guys have a great day, man. God bless. God bless.
Thank you. Bye-bye. 866-348. seven eight eight four eight six six three four eight 7884, the number to call in and share. You know You're exactly right.
uh dark when when you know There are would be a lot of people out there that wouldn't necessarily remember something he said or you know even what that was. It was the ministry themselves that really had the impact. And the fact that he not only had this great radio program. that brought about The focus on the family, but he wrote. And as Mike said, I'm hoping a lot of listeners will.
Go check out their library. Re-look at those books I did today. Dare to discipline. Just start flipping through it and seeing some of the statements he made. And he did one.
I literally had left a bookmark in it and I was like, why did I leave that bookmark right there? Opened it up and he has a quote from Leonardo da Vinci. He who does not punish evil commands it to be done. Wow.
Well, dare to discipline. Why do you discipline? You don't want evil to get a foothold. Ecclesiastes 8, 11. And if you don't discipline, if you don't punish evil, you're commanding it.
And, you know, that's a statement for today. As we're dealing with so many who seem to want to give others a chance, it seems like you want to give them a chance to do it again and not get caught. And you've got to have a firm hand, not a cruel hand, but a firm hand. Evil has to be stopped with discipline. And that was one of the things that Dobson, he went against the grain because, you know, Spock had written this book that every parent was, okay, we're not going to spank our child.
We're not going to discipline our child. And he writes a book in 1970 that flies right in the face of everything that Spock was saying. That's beautiful. Absolutely. Well, we have Linda is in.
Carla Hawk I think it's Callahan, Florida, but I bet Linda can tell us.
So, Linda, you're on Truth Talk Live. Oh yeah, I want to talk about Doctor Dobson. Please.
Okay. Uh I I remember I'm for government. I'm from Callahan, Florida right now. But I was living in Oregon, uh, Midford, Oregon, uh when I had him on the radio and this was around in the eighties. If I'm not mistaken.
Yeah, I wouldn't be. Yeah, he was on in the 80s. That's for sure. Yeah. And he was saying things that I really needed to hear about disciplining children.
about how to raise children 'cause I wasn't raised the right way. And so, uh and my husband didn't uh didn't necessarily listen. Um a little bit with one ear maybe. But I bought a book, Dare to Discipline and The Strong Will Child. Yes.
And I probably would have bought more, but we moved then to Florida from Oregon. But yeah, he was so good and I love that Odyssey. Oh, I'm adorable. You sound like you were on it. I love it, yeah.
Oh, absolutely. I think it's it's a world of difference and I wish I I could have uh gotten a lot of my grandchildren to listen to it. They don't listen to radio They listen to their iPhone. Oh, I know. Maybe it you know We have Christian Cargai Theater podcast.
You know, if you if they listen on their iPhone, maybe they can listen to that. At least we have, you know, pardon me. Yeah, uh, but I'm not that competitive. computer literate, you know? Yeah.
Podcast, that puts another frame in my mind. But it's fascinating. You said I remember now, you know, I had. Forgotten that book, The Strong-Willed Child. We bought that one too.
I had a strong-willed daughter. We do have a strong-willed daughter. You know, he he had bringing up boys. Bringing up girls. I didn't I didn't get those until l he wrote those later on, but I and I didn't know that he wrote those, but I should have gotten those too, but But yeah, I had two boys in the service and My youngest boy is deaf and uh So we had a basket full of Good.
That's wonderful. But I really enjoyed Dobson. I really, I loved his voice, and it was so. Yeah. So soft and so uh pr you know, l like uh you're like you're talking to the man next door or something like that, you know.
Oh, he was. And and that y that was a really good way to put it, Linda, because when I s s saw him in the hall that day, you know, we we just began to talk. It was just like that. It was just like talking to your neighbor. Yeah, it really is.
I mean, he was very, very good, and I enjoyed those books. And then we lost the radios and, you know, things Things went pell mell after moving to Florida.
Well, now you're back. You're on Truth Talk Live, so you must have heard it on the radio. That's me. None of my kids are with me though. You know, I wish they were.
They don't listen to radio. The radio is like a foreign thing to them, you know?
So, if you were speaking to a new parent today. Would you? without hesitation, recommend doctor Dobson's books to them. Oh, definitely. And I asked a churchgoer, I said, Do you know that Dr.
Dobson died? She said who?
So evidently he didn't get up this far on, you know, the radios. Yeah, it's a it's a but uh yeah, I would really uh In fact, I gave a book, uh, Dare to Discipline to my g uh grandson, but he has two bo two girl two kids. That's wonderful. Well, thank you, Linda, for your call. That's amazing.
God bless you. Have a great time. Keep listening to the radio, and sometime maybe your kids will too. Who knows? Uh amen.
Amen. Eight, six, six. 348-7884. What do you say? 866-348-7884 is the number to call in.
And share uh We got to go to another break. It'd be a good time for you to call in. We got a bunch of Dr. Dobson quotes. That Dr.
Date the word is loaded up and ready to go, but we need yours most of all. How did you know how can we celebrate his life? Isn't it amazing that God gives us these? folks like John MacArthur, like James Dobson. Oh, so quickly they're gone.
You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to Truth Talk Live. And today we are certainly celebrating The life, the ministry of James Dobson. who went to be the Lord on The 21st. You know, it's 89 years of age.
Yeah, we have. You know, John MacArthur Back in July? And Huck Hogan? Squire Parsons Yeah, it wasn't that long ago we were talking about that You know Charles Stanley. It's just been there's some giants walking golden streets right now.
Obviously, Billy Graham and R. C. Sproll, you know, all these people that that, you know, Fifteen years ago, twenty years ago, whatever, the Christian radio mainstays. Yes. And so.
You know, we'd be praying that God's going to raise up.
Some new voices and some some and I know that he will, but it's obviously pretty fun that we get to take part in praying with him about who you know who he's bringing up to be the next voices that that could carry the mantle. of what that may be. And I love what Mike said that, you know, it doesn't matter who said it. Yeah. It matters.
the impact it makes And You know, obviously. We still have these opportunities to get out there and let God call us to make an impact.
However, that may be, even by you calling today. 866-348-7884. 866-348-7884. The reason I say that is your story. About how he impacted your disciplining or how he impacted you taking your kids to school or whatever it was.
It could have that same impact on somebody, and you'll get to heaven someday. And they go, remember that time you called in True Talk Live? Because there is Dr. Dobson's impact on the family. But um for me What you're talking about there is those nuggets that he would give that challenged you to do something with your life.
It didn't have anything to do with the family. He wrote a book called Life on the Edge. And for years at Liberty, that was one of the top books I would recommend to students because, as you're thinking about taking your life, what will you do with it? How will it be an adventure for God to make a difference for Him? That book was loaded with all kinds of challenges of how to make the most of your time, to make the most of your treasure, how to make the most of your talents.
And so, that book, while we think so much about his family books and again, Dare to Discipline, if you're a young parent, I'll say this: having been ahead of school, if you're a teacher, you want to get Dare to Discipline. But while he has so many great books for the family, Maybe a hidden jewel out there is life on the edge because that's the way we ought to be living. When you walk by faith, Sometimes you're taking steps where you don't really know where the next step is going to take you.
Well, that's the joy of walking with God. Um yeah, and it as a head of school for all those years, Doc. discipline Right? That a family That took part in it. You know, they think that the school is supposed to be the one providing it, but.
Well, and many times. And we would find as we came through the 70s, 80s, 90s. The parents were against the discipline. You know, they read Spock's book. And so here's a teacher trying to do discipline.
And The person that's against them the most is the parent. And so I had to deal sometimes with the parent before we could deal with the child. And I was raised a little different, probably you, Robbie. My mom, when I showed up at the first grade with Miss Mitchell, she said, Now, Miss Mitchell, if Dwayne misbehaves, you have my permission to spank him and then put a note in his hand to hand to me when he gets home. He'll get another spanking.
Well, boy, I didn't want two spankings.
So when I was told to be quiet, I was quiet. When I was told to sit down, I sat down. When I was told to stop running, I stopped running.
Well, I did come up at a different time, which, by the way, while I'm saying this, you could call us at 866-348-7884. But I think my time was probably a little harsher than yours. You're just saying that I could remember all too vividly, believe me. And unfortunately, I wasn't one of those people that. Um Yeah.
When they told me to sit down, I did not necessarily sit down. But I wasn't able to sit down because back in those days, you know, they had the Board of Education with holes drilled in it. Yeah. And the. And especially, you know, when I got into middle school or what we call junior high and high school, you know, those coaches would send, they didn't send.
Send you to the assistant principal anymore, like elementary school. They sent you to the coach who had guns, you know, and not. I mean, I'm talking about his muscles and he would wind up with that great big paddle with it and with holes though. Oh, you know it.
So it air less air resistant.
So it could just, you know, I can still see it. I can still feel it, believe me. Because for whatever reason, you know, I. I didn't take to instruction at times like maybe I should have. But so they dared to have disciplined back in.
In in in the sixties, that's for sure. And, you know, I mentioned earlier, one of the great things about Dr. Dobson was. As he was catching flack on you're trying to raise up parents that will abuse their children, he never did. He was very firm.
On that, discipline is to be done with love. In our example, God chastens those whom he Loves. Our Heavenly Father is going to also discipline us when we sin, but He's never going to do it with cruelty. Right. situation you know as a pastor you hear these things where a grandfather.
