Welcome to Truth Talk Live. All right, let's talk the truth now. I can't hide it. A daily program powered by the Truth Network. This is kind of a great thing, and I'll tell you what.

Where pop culture, current events, and theology all come together. Speak your mind. And now, here's today's Truth Talk Live host. Unclean, unclean, that's maybe what you've heard screamed, or maybe you never did hear it, but you certainly felt it.

So how how do clean people Help. Unclean people. Like, that's a great question when you think about it. How did clean people help unclean people to become clean? Or maybe there's an answer in.

How did someone helped you when you were unclean. become clean, which is even a little more confusing. You begin to think about all the ramifications of uncleanness, which we'll talk about in a minute. But in the meantime, we want your calls. You know, if somebody stepped into your life, you felt unclean, you felt separated, you felt like You didn't.

You were in the cave, so to speak, and somebody came along and did that. You know, how did they reach you? 866-348-7884. How do you help an unclean person become clean? 866-348-7844.

7884. It's a fascinating thing. Dr. Carson and I, date doctor, date the word Carson, is here with me in the studio, as you might imagine. And we've been talking like, it's fascinating.

The book of Mark, chapter 5, gives us three stories. All of uncleanness and Jesus is going to make all Three of them pure, and it's fascinating how. these different things happened, how he reached These People that were unclean. You may remember the very first one was a demoniac, and I don't know if you've ever considered this, but he ran on the beach. To Jesus.

Why? Because Jesus had calmed The storm. Yep. And the Real Storm was in Legion there with his six thousand Yeah. There's no talking about that, right, Doc?

Yeah, I mean, when you think about what they had just dealt with with a storm that scared the daylights out of them, scared them to death, all of a sudden, now they're facing a demon-possessed man running toward them. And I love how Swindahl talks about it: the storm on the sea was mild compared to the storm on the shore. And Jesus' purpose for going there was for this man. One man. He went across, he went to the other side.

And just and then went back. And that was the whole. And interestingly, he'd preached all day the day before, right? He's asleep in the cushion of the bed because he's wasting no time to be about the father's business. He says, we got to go.

To the other side, gets in the boat. fascinating evening cruise. And then meets a man. Filled with demons.

So maybe you were filled with them and there was a storm in your life or and all of a sudden it just got Calmed and somebody's Somewhere or another helped you. I would love to hear that story. I know Doc would too. And not to mention that, wow, when we make much of Jesus, we know what we're doing on the radio is God's looking down and smiling. 866-348-7884.

866-348-7884. So think about it. This man ran to Jesus, right? He'd been in the tombs, he'd been living with the dead. like unclean people often do.

Right? Living with the dead. That is exactly where he had been living. And now all of a sudden He felt this storm coming. Of course, you had mentioned it earlier when we were talking about it, Doc.

The demons knew who he was. They knew who Jesus was. Everybody else is still trying to figure it out. Who is this man? Is he really the Christ?

Even when he did great things, is he the Christ? They knew. This is the Son of God. I love it. I love it.

A Roman legion being 6,000. When so this man says he's a legion, it it's it's hard to even imagine how tormented, you know. What is possible what's possible that this man was like as you were talking about, you go by you know, walking the Alleyway in New York City, and you see somebody, and it just terrifies you. You can imagine the disciples see this, they feel it, and It's terrifying. But How do you You know, Jesus wants us to get out of our comfort zone, right?

And so, you know, not exactly the opportunity like, oh, this is a witnessing opportunity right here.

Well, I I was in Israel a few years ago and um This was brought out to me by our tour guide. He he he said, did you ever think That it says here he went to the other side. That means he was going to a place that was not. Jewish. He was going to where people were not like him.

And he says, Isn't that what Christians are supposed to be doing? We go into Judea, Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the uttermost parts of the world. Jesus went to the other side because. On the other side were people, a person who needed him. Right.

Wow. And when you think, you bring out an interesting point because when you think about the story, it's all about begging, right? that the demons are going to beg Jesus, right, that they be sent into the pigs. They're going to beg Jesus that he not torment them. Right?

Yeah. And the ones who were being who were tormenting a human does not want to be tormented. It's a fascinating thing, right? And he's asking Jesus. All those demons, the the legion of them Don't torment us, send us into the pigs.

Jesus actually grants the request of those beggars. The next people to beg are the people that own the pigs. Right? They begged, get out of here. Can you imagine?

A life has been changed, and we don't. You see a man sitting here. clothed and in his right ma mind that you couldn't even put chains on. Right. And now you got to go, man.

We can't deal with that. Fascinating. But then, and so he granted the request of the demons. He granted the request. of these crazy people.

But he does not re grant the request of the demon-possessed man who begs him to stay. And then he wanted to go with him. And he begs him to go. And he says no. You go home to your family.

And so here is the very first Gentile evangelist, arguably. Mm. And so when he comes back to the Getarines on the other side, Right, a little later in his ministry, he's met by thousands. Thousands. Where do they come from?

Yeah. This once unclean, demon possessed man has been set free, clean, and now he's helping other unclean people become clean. And that's the stories we want to hear today. 866348788486634 truth. And so I really think about that, you know, for me.

I I I know it was you know, my wife knew, you know, I had all this You know, for those who don't know, I came out of Scientology, right? And so when I met her, I had all these Scientology books. I had an e-meter. If you don't know what that is, I'll tell you at some point in life. But anyway, I had all this paraphernalia that was essentially of a Scientologist.

And uh Somebody who studied Dianetics. And so. She's like This stuff has got to, and she's trying to come alongside of me and witness to me. And, and, You know, you need to read the Bible the way you're reading those books right there. You know, all those things that she began to.

Right? But she didn't come at it like you sinner. Oh. Yeah. But she knew that those books had to go, man.

Those books had to go. How about you, Doc?

Well, I've told the story before my first encounter with Dr. Jerry Falwell. Had an eight-pack of beer in my hand. Really? Oh, wait, wait.

No, I've never heard this. We're going to hear it when we come back. But we need your story. 866-348-7884. I didn't even know they made an eight-pack of beer.

Yeah. 866-348-7884. We'll be right back. Truth talks. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com.

Welcome back to Truth Talk Live. Today's question. Which I'm actually really surprised somebody hadn't called in. We would love to hear it. Today's question is.

How did someone help you go from uncleanness to cleanness? What was involved in that? That you didn't feel judged, that you felt like they loved you, that they came alongside of you and began to witness to you. You know, how do we help the unclean become clean? How did that happen in your life?

866-348-7884. You know, by you're sharing your story, somebody's witnessing to somebody that might be going through the same thing. You know, a little bit, you know, what that might look like. Maybe. Yeah.

You know somebody who carries around eight packs of beer? I never heard. But I'm dying to find out about this and then Jerry Falwell in the story somehow. We gotta go back to the next one.

Well, we left our hero, Dr. Carson, right? But I gotta give out the number one more time, Doc. 866 3487884, 866, 3487884.

So we left our hero, Dr. Date the word Carson. He was carrying his eight pack, and he runs on Jerry Falwell, of all people. Yes, I'm in a convenience store in Lynchburg, Virginia. Oh, really?

And this is in the 70s, and it is illegal. I'm 18, and I'm buying beer, and I liked to get what was the Miller. I now joke and say Miller Lowlife, but it was Miller Highlight. They had those what was called ponies. And it's an eight-pack, not a six-pack.

And so I had that in my hand, and I'm walking up the aisle, and all of a sudden, around the corner comes Dr. Jerry Falwell with his suit on, his tie on, and he's in there to buy something, and he sees me. And does he know you? No, no. Oh, no.

And one thing's for sure: he knew I wasn't a Liberty student.

Okay? Because I had long hair, and that was anathema in those days to have hair that even touched your ear. Mine was well over my ears, had a chain around my neck, and now I got beer in my hand. And I'm thinking, well, I've heard this man preach. I know what he stands for.

I'm the problem of America. And I'm going to now hear about it. And he just walked up. stuck at his hand and said, How you doing tonight, young man? I shook his hand, said I'm doing fine.

Have a good evening. He went on his way and I went on out and told my friends, I said, Y'all are not going to believe this. I met God tonight. They, what? I said, Well, you know, the man I think he thinks he's God, I met Jerry Falwell.

He shook my hand, said hello to me. That's the craziest thing. And then we went on out and. Kept on drinking and having a good time. It would be two years later, though.

That a 12-year-old girl will reach out to a 20-year-old, me. And I am unclean. I am not living anything like someone should be living. And she had the boldness to walk up to me and invite me to come to church. And I was so Mm.

Um How do I say it? Unclean? since that's the words we're talking about, I'm like, I I just said Tammy, um I don't want to have anything to do with church. And what was your relationship to this 12-year-old girl? A neighbor by about.

five miles. Really? 'Cause I grew up in the country. And so I guess her family had circled their neighbors they wanted to see saved. And um so she walks up to me.

She knows who I am from the neighborhood. And she's and and I have been to Church Robbie I had been to church. I quit going to church. I didn't want to have anything else to do with church. I didn't want to have anything to do with God.

And I said that to her. I said, I don't have anything to do with church. I don't want to have anything to do with God. And I am pretty sure he doesn't want to have anything to do with me. And that 12-year-old girl, she lives in Madison Heights right now in Virginia.

There, she said, Well, all I can tell you, Duane, is. God loves you, and I love you, and I wish you'd come back to church. She was a clean reaching an unclean. All I can tell you is I love you and God loves you. We got interestingly, since she was in Madison Heights, we now have Madison, who's in Ohio, who has a comment for us.

Thank you for calling, Madison. We really appreciate it.

So your your story. Yeah, so I was just hearing the story about how Jesus. you know, freed the man from all being demonized. And it just reminded me of my story where I, you know, from time to time I would have a nightmare. um which felt typical, but then it started to increase and I realized that this was Something more abnormal, and this is very spiritual.

And I would say about a year would go by where this just became worse and worse, and fear really set in. And I do feel like the devil. Use that to his advantage, and I started to become fearful of the evening. Spaces in my home, certain areas I really felt like there was a demonic presence and Over time, things deepened and just got worse to the point where I would, you know, pray and felt like if I didn't cling on to my Bible and fall asleep with it, that something was going to happen. Like, I was very.

Affirmed. And so thank God for my church. And people in my community where I would explain this. I one felt comfortable sharing that with them. um which was very personable um personal and um got connected with some people who just were Following the Lord very deeply and sharing their testimonies and was asking for prayer and They said a few great things.

One of my friends from church said, Well, you have more authority in your home than anybody else. That really struck a chord for me because I was reaching out, seeking help from others thinking I was not capable. And she taught me that I was equipped because I had Jesus. And So yeah, I what we were talking in church about praying in tongues. And I believe through scripture from what I've learned that that's for today and for now.

And it was very new to me. But there was one evening I had had people coming to my home and praying over spaces. I had people come and anointing with holy water. I had done it all, and I just was. sitting in the evening.

I tucked my kids in. I went into my bedroom. And I just began praying in tongues. I really didn't know what I was doing, but I just had so much faith and um Yeah, I just wanted to seek the Lord deeper and have him help me pray for what I didn't know how to fix myself. God redeemed that space.

I don't know what it's like for others to have vision per se, but I was so scared, I was praying in tongues with my eyes closed. And but I could visualize what was going on in my room. And I just saw these white angels. It was just like white Um It was just images of light. It wasn't like per se a person, but I saw these angels just coming out into my space and taking over these dark clouds that were revealing themselves in my space.

And I just saw this war before me with and it was just An amazing experience, and to this day, this was years ago. To this day, I have. Not had any demonic oppression. I'm no longer fearful of my home, like it was completely eradicated. And so when you say, who helps you, for those who think, I don't need to go to church to have a relationship with God.

Might be true in some aspects, but to have my community and to plug myself in and reach out for people to get to a point where. I could learn what God can do for me and to just sit with the Lord. It was really God, right? It's always Jesus. All we need is Jesus.

He's the one that cleans us. But to have a community to help me go through that was. such a blessing. Right, you couldn't be more right because You know, the demonic, uncleanness usually leads to isolation, right? This guy is completely isolated.

But when you do the opposite of that, And I like what my pastor Quartz used to say here before he passed, anyway. He would always say, You don't have to go to church to be a Christian, he said, but y y you don't need to have a boat to swim. you know, over to England. He said, but it's a long swim. It's a long order.

And so I'm with you, Madison. And you certainly went from fear to faith, right? Yeah, yes, absolutely. That's a beautiful thing. Like, man.

Yeah, and so I just wanted to say my testimony because maybe there's somebody out there who has felt like they've tried it all. And I'm not saying praying in tongues is the end-all-be-all, but it worked for me in that space and time.

So something to maybe try, but also the importance of a community. Really, it is, it is. I couldn't agree with you more. Thank you, Madison. God bless you.

And how about somebody else? 866-348-7884. 866-34-TRUTH. We'll be right back. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com.

Welcome back to Truth Talk Live. Today's question is, how do you help? An unclean person To become clean, right? How do you come alongside of them? What can you do?

And it may, like, we just heard from Madison. It may be of a brother or sister in Christ that is struggling with a situation. But I love, love, love what she brought out. 866-348-7884-866-34TRUTH. Doc.

And we're coming up with this question based on the fact that you've been studying Mark V, and Jesus The clean one. Right. Went to the unclean ones. And that's the key here. You've got to go to them.

And here's this man. that needed help. drastically needed help and no one could do anything for him. They couldn't even keep him chained. I loved, love, love the story.

You talked about Dr. Falwell, who later became, like, you know, it's kind of funny, you met him the first time. Did he ever, I got to ask before we get to this: did you ever ask him, Dr. Falwell, you remember the first time you met me? We did talk about it.

He did not remember, but it became one of his staples of talking about me. And again, it's a testimony of God's great. Grace and goodness. Because here, I mean, I use some strong words. I don't think I really felt to this level, but I would say I hate it, Dr.

Falwell. The idea, again, when we were, when you're lost and you're looking at someone who's holding up a righteous standard. I didn't want to have anything to do with him. And so I really didn't hate him, but I couldn't stand him. And even when I'm headed toward ministry, the last place I ever wanted to go was Liberty Baptist College.

And then God, with this sense of humor, will have me go there. And then I become the campus pastor. And so we always gave the story. And hopefully, whoever is hearing this right now can be encouraged. You may be listening right now and you're not saved.

There's hope for you. That's the message of the Truth Network. There is hope for you. It doesn't matter how far you are in sin. It doesn't matter what you have done that has wrecked your life and wrecked others.

Jesus Christ can change everything. And I But now getting back to Right. Owned Penthouse magazine, like Hustler. Hustler. Even worse than Penthouse was Hustler, Larry Flint.

Okay, and There was I mean, it blows my mind. Jerry Falwell had his name. Yes. In his Bible, and he prayed for him in spite of these horrible things that had happened. Larry Flint couldn't stand Dr.

Folwell. He put stuff in his magazine about Dr. Falwell that Dr. Folwell felt strong enough that he would need to sue him because of the defamation. Oh, the defamation of his mother as well.

Yeah, even, yes, even it was probably more because of his mother than because of him. Yeah, and so through that, though, Dr. Falwell just kept trying to reach him. to win him to the Lord. And after Dr.

Falwell died, lots of people are giving interviews about their relationship. And someone, I forget what news outlet, reached out to Larry Flint and said, your thoughts? And he said, hey, no man ever cared for me like Jerry Falwell did. Isn't that amazing? Yeah.

And we don't know what the outcome is. It may never. But nonetheless, it's. And all you do is just like Dr. Falwell did, reach out his hand and say, How are you doing?

And care. Yes. You know, like that's a gigantic thing. Like Tammy did for you. I love that.

She said, I love you, and so does God. Come with me. We got. Mike is in Dayton. He's got a topic comment.

So, Mike, you are on Truth Talk Live. Welcome.

Well, thank you. I'm in construction, and you guys know that. I went down to Tennessee for a job and My wife liked Jack in the Box. I don't know why, but she loves Jack in the Box at the time. I just said to say there, unclean, unclean.

Unclean, yeah. I lived out west too many years to think when you say Jack in the Box, it does not bring up great memories.

However, they may be really wonderful now. I don't want to get sued for it. I'm just faking dumb. But anyway, your wife loved Jack in the Box.

Okay. Right. And so I'm down in Tennessee, and I'm on a like three or four day a week, it was. And I was going to rub it in because there was a jack-in-a-box down there.

So I'm down in Tennessee, and I'm going to this jack-in-a-box. And the only one I could find, it obviously was in a really bad neighborhood. I mean, it was in a bad neighborhood. But annoying, you know, and me, I didn't care. And so I just went ahead and went into this bad neighborhood and went into the Jack a box and took a selfie of me in the sign and rubbing it in my wife.

And then there's this guy over here And he he looks at me and he says, Do you understand what's all around you? And he was He was pretty shady. And I said, What do you mean, sir? And he goes, Sir, you have so many things around you, it's unbelievable. And he and then he started And then a fear came over me for a second.

And then I knew what that was, and then I said, No, I'm not afraid. And then all of a sudden he says, Man, you got These egelic beings all around you right now. And I'm like, Really? And he goes What are those? He says, Oh, I know what they are.

They're angels. And I said, Oh.

Okay. And he goes, I said, And he goes, you know, you're one of those Jesus followers. And I said, yes, I am. And he goes, I says, Do you want to know Jesus? He says, Oh no, I like where I'm at.

I enjoy what I'm doing. I enjoy what I see and what I'm feeling right now, and I enjoy everything I got. And I'm like, really? But where are you going to go when you're going to die? And he goes I don't care about that later.

I enjoy what I'm doing now. And I looked in, and I'm like, and God just said, you know, was telling me in my heart. You know, and I said, you know what? Remember me, I'm praying for you. And if you do anything in Jack of the Box here, are you hungry at all?

He goes, No, I'm doing great. Man, I can't believe how many angels are around you. And I walked into Jack in a Box. And I'll never forget that. Uh it was uh it was a It was a God's saying to me, I'm with you always.

And I'll never forget that. That's so awesome. I appreciate it, Mike. I really do. And what a story.

And, you know, what a testimony on all sorts of levels, right?

Something you'll never forget. But I'll bet you anything, it's something he'll never forget. And the fact that those things were real for him. Hmm. Yeah, indicated that and hopefully it will open his eyes to the glorious gospel.

Because um Yeah. You boast yourself of tomorrow. When the Bible says, do not boast yourself of tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring. Today's a day of salvation, listeners. Today's the day.

Thank you, my friend. God bless. You're welcome. God bless. I went on a mission trip.

Mike's story reminded me. I went on a mission trip. By the way, if it reminded you of something, we would love to hear. 866-348-7884. So I had gone on a mission trip with a character and a half.

His name is Ricky Corn, one of my favorite people, actually.

Now I know him very well. But at the time, I didn't know him very well. In fact, you know, I sat down next to him on the plane. He looked at me and he goes, Hi, I'm Ricky Corn and I know some things.

Okay. Or he said, I've seen some things. I'm like, what kind of things have you seen? Anyway, You know, all the way. You know, as soon as we get on the bus, you know, it's not a bus, it's these little vans they use in Jamaica.

And the leader is saying, Now, whatever you do, we're going to go into this Burger King and don't give anybody any food. Just don't do it. I'm telling you, just. Just go in, get your food, get out. Don't give anybody any food.

Well. Yeah. Ricky is not real strong on following directions, right? We all go in, we get our food, and we come out, man, and Corin is sitting on the curb with this guy. And he's obviously got a bag of food that that Ricky has bought.

And um How Ricky I'll I'll never forget the the conversation 'cause uh of course the the guy who was leading the thing just jumped all over him like he was the worst piece of slime for not following directions, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

So, you know, a little while later I'm like, man, dude What are you thinking? And he said, Robbie, I came out of the restaurant with my food. And here's this guy digging through the trash. Right? And my heart broke.

Yeah. And I was like, here, man, here, here. Don't dig for any more trash. Here, take this. This is.

And he just gave us food. And then he said, I got to talk to him about Jesus. Yeah. And I've thought about it, you know, like a mission trip, but don't reach out to people who need help.

Well, you know, however it all works, you know, what I know is I've, of course, a come to love this man much. He has a very unique set of gifts. But and it was the same way later on we went to an orphanage, got himself in trouble again because he just his heart just broke. His heart broke. And he had to do something.

And he was sensitive to the Spirit from my standpoint, you know? And so maybe that wakes up something in you. 866-348-7884-866-34TRUTH. Well, as we talk about this topic of Jesus, the Clean One. Going to the unclean.

Here's this unclean man. He's got a woman that's going to come up to him, and she's been unclean, dealing with an issue of blood. He's going to heal her. He's got a girl that has died. He's going to touch her.

Bring her back to life. Um He's doing the Unconventional And that's how the clean reaches the unclean. You got to go where the. unclean are. Yeah, the fascinating thing is he's going to Jarius's daughter.

But meanwhile Here's this unclean person. That you know, again, it's a it's it's a good discussion, is why is she unclean? Because she has an issue of blood. When they're in their monthly cycle, they would be considered unclean in the temple. Why is that?

Not because they've sinned. No. Because uncleanness does not necessarily mean sin. Because if you have leprosy and you caught it, it wasn't necessarily because of your sin. And so I can hear the break coming up.

We'll have a discussion about that when we come back. But we'd also like to hear. Your story. How did you help somebody unclean become clean? 866-348-7884.

We'll be right back. Truth, talk, lie. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to True Talk Live. Today's show is how did you help someone come from?

unclean to clean. Um Obviously, it was Jesus that did that through you, however, that may look like we understand that. And certainly it's an amazing thing to watch Jesus at work through us when we get these opportunities like Ricky Corn had when that man broke his heart, or somebody did for you. 8663487884. 8663487884.

So here you have this very unique situation of. Jesus on his way to help Jarius's daughter. which is the third story in Mark chapter five. But At this point in time, here you have this woman, and as long as she has this flow, she is unclean.

Now That begs the question, why? Right? I've experienced some women that were offended by that. That, like, how could the Bible say that I'm unclean when it's just simply part of the way God designed us? And it's fascinating.

And it's actually, from my standpoint, it gives us an idea of the value of women and the value of life. The value of life. Yes. And. I don't know if you've ever heard this, but there's a lot of discussion on the fact that the reason why the head covering is described Yeah.

This You're supposed to do that because of the angels, is because the angels are aware that from this kind will be the Son of God. In other words, One of these. Will have the Son of God. And so the reverence between women and angels is spectacular because they have this ability to bring life, and even more importantly, they would be the ones that would bring God. And so, angels, if you'll find it a fascinating study that.

Um Okay. You'll never see a woman I don't think you'll find a passage where a woman falls on her face when she sees an angel. And you'll find them have discussions.

Now, Mary. Was certainly troubled, it says, because that angel had some news for her. a little bit different, you know? But several five different examples of men who went right down the second they saw an angel. You don't see that.

And so there's clearly a different relationship between women and angels and men and angels. And it's Mm-hmm. From some commentators' point of view, and I like this point of view, that the angels have a reverence. For This kind will bring forth God. And and and that idea of life is so precious to God that part of that cycle is that now just like if someone were to touch a dead body or whether you know that that God loves life and death is something he can't look at.

And so to some extent, this cycle would indicate that there was a loss of a possibility of a life. And the same thing, by the way, if a man if if a man has Of stream, or whatever they call it, you want to say that they were unclean as well, because again, it was something that had to do with a loss of life. you know, it's clearly an amazing thing that God has that kind of reverence for human life and something that certainly you know we could take a lot of lessons from. But nonetheless, here's this poor woman, and she has never been clean. Yeah.

for all those years. And she's heard a story. about a man that she believes she believes He can make me whole. But can she talk to him? She's not sure.

So she touches him. With great faith. Yeah. With great faith. And that's what Jesus commends her, calls her, what a special name, daughter.

And then your faith has made you whole. And then now he's still got to go to Jairus's home. And this little girl is dead. How could he go in there? Right.

He's not supposed to he's clean. Yeah, he's a he's a rabbi. That's about the last place you're going to find somebody that needs to perform or go into synagogues and all this stuff. What are you doing? Yeah.

However, he happens to know. I'm gonna I've got some power. Over. He's had a power over a storm. He's had power over demons.

He's had power over disease. And now he's going to show he has power over death. That the What a m what a savior. And what a picture of the ultimate cleanness is life. Brings her back to life.

And life abundantly, but the only way we can truly have life. Right? Because he is the life, is to accept him into that point of cleanness.

Now, Dr. Carson knows that part of the reason we're having this discussion today is I was studying the difference between the word clean and unclean in Hebrew. It's just because I love the idea. And it totally blows my mind, and it still does to some extent that the word unclean begins with a letter that is. Essentially the word good.

like it's twelve in the in the in the Hebrew Alphabet, and it's also, you know, when you said God said it was good, well, that letter that begins that word is a tov. And so, like, hmm? Like, how could this word unclean? be that. And so when you look carefully and you begin to really study the different letters that are in the word, that goodness is disconnected.

from the Father, which is an aleph at the end of the of the word. And when it's disconnected, it turns in on itself like a snake. Wow. And when we turn in on ourselves We become Unclean, right? And think about who's the only person you're thinking about when you're unclean.

You're not thinking about God, you're not thinking about others. Yet they're not part of the equation. Because you're cut off from the Father, which has to do with why uncleanness leads to separation. Hmm. Mm-hmm.

Isn't that amazing? I'm I'm tracking. Yeah. This is good to to think about being um doing something that has now started to destroy you. James talks about this, Robbie, in James 1 when he says sin.

When temptation is acted upon. Temptation is not sin. Temptation is acted upon, it conceives sin. Right. It gives birth to Sin.

And you know what sin is? The moment it comes into our life, it's like a newborn baby. It's pleasurable. Sin is pleasurable. But then sin gives birth to Death.

Deaths. Since the brings to life death in your life. And we know what death does. Death always decays. That which dies begins to decompose.

And now it stinks. And it stinks. And yes, so that's why you're unclean. And now you stink. And and all you you you g you get to the point where you can't even stand yourself.

Now that's why that man ran to Jesus. He couldn't stand himself. He was cutting himself with the sharp stones. Yeah. And that poor woman I mean you can imagine.

and if Jarius's daughter delayed there much longer. Yeah. That was the reason why they they did that. It has to do with that. And, you know.

I got to admit, I was a little stinker at one point.

Some people would say you were a big stinker. A very big stinker. Come on, we got time for your story. One real quick: 866-348-7884, 866-348-7884. When you look at these amazing things, is Jesus, you know, the whole idea of him coming to earth with a bunch of stinkers.

And and now he wants us, who were stinkers, to be his ambassadors. Right. Now that's the translation right there. that that that that you're this awful Unclean sinner, and God now says, Now that I've cleaned you up, I've given you salvation, I want you to represent me. And I'm hoping through this show today, Robbie, we are inspiring some people to say, you know what, I've got to go reach out to my neighbor.

The people in my community, at my school, we've got college students headed back into college right now. You're going to come across unclean. They're not saved. What they need is the message of the gospel. Yeah, because the more unclean they are, the more they are tormented.

You can count on it. And just like Jesus went, this man was tormented unbelievably. Like Jesus can't stand that howling. It's louder than the storm that he will face, right? That he says, I'm coming, coming for one man.

One man. For one man. And and and you know, it's the same thing. He's coming for you. He came for one woman, right?

In her case, And I love that she touched You know, it says hem of the garment, but there's a fringe if you ever see a Jewish prayer shawl that. Would indicate, and I just think it's really cool. You know, I have one of those I got in Israel, and I love to, as I'm praying, you know, run my fingers through them, and they all are. Representative of different things in Hebrew, et cetera. And so for me, it's a delight to think that, man, Jesus Himself was praying with these.

I get it. That these are his prayers to some extent, that she touched that had to be, you know, like, man, she knew what she was. about, there's no doubt. It may have seemed like superstitious faith, But she had genuine faith. She'd been hearing stories.

And I'm telling you, it's crucial to tell the stories about what Jesus does in your life because that will inspire other people to trust him. Um Unclean people need us who have now been cleaned. and I've been cleaned. I was washed by the blood of the Lamb. And now my responsibility is to take the gospel to the lost.
