This is the Truth Network. Welcome to Truth Talk Live. All right, let's talk the truth news. I can hide. I can hold it in the morning.
A daily program powered by the Truth Network. This is kind of a great thing, and I'll tell you what. Where pop culture, current events, and theology all come together. Speak. Mine.
And now, here's today's Truth Talk Live host.
Well, welcome to Truth Talk Live. I'm Dwayne Carson, and it's my privilege today to be your host. And it's also my privilege to head up a ministry called Date the Word. And today, June the 18th, we've got some awesome Bible verses for 6:18. You know, we take a verse and match it to a date.
It's a unique way to connect today's date to God's word that hopefully makes it a little bit more memorable. And 2 Corinthians 6:18, I will be a father to you, and you shall be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty. And if today is your birthday, that is a great birthday verse. Ephesians 6:18 says, Pray in always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. reminder to always be praying.
Romans 6 18 and having been set free from sin you became servants of righteousness and that's the verse I use today to give to my Facebook friends who have a birthday today. I gave them that verse for their birthday and just so you know you can download the Date the Word app. Have it on your phone. And there you can see the verses for any date. See the verses for your birthday.
You got a friend you want to share a Bible verse with for their birthday. It's right there. We also do a devotional every day. And today's devotional was based on 1 Timothy 6:18. Let them do good that they may be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share.
God has some very pointed words for the rich. And that is found, we have a website, date the word.com, and you can get the daily devotional.
So anyway, I'm part of a great ministry that God has allowed us to create called Date the Word. And I'd love for you to check it out. And again, it's my privilege to host today's Truth Talk Live. And we want to talk today about something that's very, very, very important. Important, what is to be the Christian's relationship?
To Israel. Boy, there's a lot of things happening right now with Israel. And scripture tells us right off the bat, we need to be praying for the peace of Jerusalem. Psalms 22, 6. And I would hope that every day you're praying for Israel.
But what is to be the Christian? What's to be the church's relationship? To Israel. And to help us today, I have a special guest, Dr. Marvin Jones.
He has a ministry that is the Center for Christ, Faith, and Culture. And he addresses these various cultural issues, biblical issues, to help us as Christians. What should be our response? And Dr. Marvin Jones, welcome to Truth Talk Live today.
Well, thank you, Duane. It's my joy to be here with you. Tell me where you're located right now. Right now, we are in Mobile, Alabama. Pretty hot, but we enjoy it here.
It's a great place to live. Yes, I came across you in Montana, and when I was there, I had a few moments. It wasn't too hot.
So you've gone from the cold to the very hot. We have a hot subject today, and I want to let our listeners know right now: Dr. Marvin Jones has studied this intensely, and you can call with questions: 866-348-7884. We're going to be talking about, again, what is the Christians' response? What is their relationship to the land of Israel, the people of Israel?
And Dr. Jones is going to explain more of that to us here. But, Dr. Jones, tell us a little bit about your ministry. And then I want to know why you wrote this paper.
Okay. I am the semi-retired, trying to retire president of Montana Christian College. I've been in academic ministries for well over twenty five years and pastoral ministries before that. And currently, the ministry that you just introduced, Christ, Faith, and Culture, is designed to address cultural issues. From a biblical point of view, a biblical worldview, and exalt Christ in the process of doing so.
And um the reason I wrote the paper Is over the last 10 to 15 years, I've noticed with college students, there is not a lot of interaction with eschatology, the future of the church and with Israel and all of that. And so there's this lack of knowledge, this base knowledge of how do we view Israel today Then to really make matters more complicated. In our churches, this is not clearly defined either.
Now you and I know both both of us know that back in nineteen eighties, nineteen seventies, there was a clear demarcation. We were all supporters of Israel. Yes. But that has waned over the years. And I wanted to try to get to the root of it because now in our culture, you have this full-blown I I don't think it's being too harsh to say hatred of the nation of Israel.
And it just blows me away. Even among Christians, there's not a hatred per se, but there is a neglect to understand the relationship between the nation of Israel. The biblical Israel of old, even, and the New Testament church. And so I wrote the paper hoping to bring some clarity to that issue.
Well, it is a definite needed issue to be addressed when we look at, as you just said. A lot of churches Have kind of let this go by the wayside. And in my own story, as I grew up, I didn't understand this component of Israel, didn't understand the significance of May 1948. It wasn't talked a lot about in our church. But when I got saved, I had a discipler, Bill Crawford, and he would set me down at this kitchen table and just lay things out for me that, boy, that's how he addressed me.
Boy, there's things you need to know. And we're in a country right now that is.
Well, the wrath of God ought to be getting poured out on America. And he would talk about the sins of America. But then he said this. There's two reasons why God has not destroyed America because of her wickedness. Two reasons.
Number one, America is a nation that sends missionaries everywhere. We are a light to the world. And you think about the Southern Baptist Convention, for instance, with the IMB. Thousands upon thousands of missionaries have gone out. And that's just one example.
There's lots of other denominations. We've been a missionary-minded nation. And then he said this, and we support Israel.
Now, I didn't know what he was talking about. And he said, I'm going to need to show you some Bible verses. And he started with Genesis 12. And he showed me that famous verse, verse 3, that those who bless Israel will be blessed. Those who curse Israel will be cursed.
And as he laid this out, he said, as long as America will protect, bless, watch over Israel, God will bless America. And this was, again, late 70s, early 80s, what you were just talking about. What do you think about what Bill Crawford told me? I think he's absolutely correct that The nation that does bless Israel has always been blessed because they are still the apple of God's eye. I realize they're not saved.
I understand that. But that does not mean, in fact, I think the book of Romans 6. States this that God has cast them away. I think He has a special purpose and plan for Israel. And I once heard something very similar to what you heard.
I I heard the old statement Jones, find out where God's working and enjoying it. And I just believe God's still working in the life of Israel. We may not see it readily, but He has not abandoned them. And so if He's working in their life, we need to be a part of that. That's exactly right.
Romans 11, 1, has God cast away his people? Certainly not. Certainly not. This is Truth Talk Live. We're going to go to a break.
I want you to come back with your questions. And we'll discuss this issue more. You're listening to The Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to Truth Talk Live on this Wednesday, June 18. I'm Dwayne Carson, and it's my joy to have you listening today as we talk about a very important subject, very relevant.
It's in the news now, every hour. Israel. What is going on with Israel and what is the Christians' relationship to this nation?
So many things happened in World War II that all of a sudden generated what we believe a nation was born in a day. Day, 1948, and we see Israel to be huge in the prophetic role of the church. And I've got Dr. Marvin Jones here today. He's been writing on and speaking on what is the church's role, responsibility, relationship to Israel as we live here.
And as a Christian, what's supposed to be Our responsibility.
So, Dr. Jones, as you wrote this paper, this is going to come after this other huge, important date now, October the 7th. That's becoming one of those December the 7th, 1944, 1941 dates. October the 7th, there's this. Just awful massacre.
And since that time There seems to be a response. Where It appears Israel was the one who did the attacking. What do you think has been bringing about such a rise of people being anti-Jewish? It is amazing to me. I want to take a little bit of history here to lead us to this answer.
After World War II, and to some extent during World War II, but definitely after World War II, there was a lot of sentiment towards the nation of Israel that was very positive coming from Britain and America. Um I remember my mother telling me the story when she went to school in the 50s. Her school district had a a program to where the children would bring Pennies, nickels, and dimes to contribute to planting olive trees in Israel as they were developing. And so we've in seventy years, we have done an about face in our relationship with Israel. And so I woke up that Saturday morning like many people did, was horrified at what was happening.
It was just a wholesale massacre, and there's no other word for it. That's right. And of course, I understand that there has been tension in Israel with the Arab nations. Islamic nation, Islamic regimes, but what really shocked me was the response of the American students and the American people. I'm going to quote a Harvard report that was taken two weeks after that massacre.
It revealed that fifty one percent of Gen Z, those who were born in nineteen ninety seven to two thousand two, roughly 13 to 25 years old. Agreed with the killing of 1,200 Israeli civilians and the kidnapping of 250 more. because of the grievance of the Palestinians.
So somehow, we have identified with those to hate Israel In this whole massacre. And I think part of it, and I'm going to go out on the ledge here, Dwayne, I'm just going to say it. I think the reason why we have such a I no other word for the hatred. toward Israel is that we are no longer walking with the Lord as a nation ourselves. And so Satan, who hates everything God loves, hates Israel, and we're not the nation we once were 70 years ago.
And I'm really concerned about our understanding of what God's doing eschatologically. through the church and through the nation.
Well, Dr. Jones, as you're saying that, I just want to remind our listeners. 866-348-7884. 86634 TRUTH. If you got a question for Dr.
Jones here, I keep wanting to call him Dr. Indiana Jones because he is, I bet that's never happened to you before. You are a researcher. You dig deep into the things of the past and bring them out for the future, for the present and for the future.
So if you've got a call, Dr. Jones, tell them you have two earned doctorates. And um And there's just a component of uh Academic level of achievement that you've done that give you qualifications here. You have credentials to answer questions. I want our listeners, again, you got a question for Dr.
Jones, 866-348-7884. Give us a call here as we think about the relationship and what has happened. We, as Americans, as we take a good look And evaluate ourselves, yes, there has been a major decline in biblical literacy. And. I've had some conversations lately with teenagers, and they don't know.
They don't know that Bible verse that I mentioned from Genesis chapter 12. They didn't know that God had told Abram to get out of your country, from your family, from your father's house, to a land I will show you. I will make you a great nation. I will bless you. I will make your name great, and you shall be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you. I will curse him who curses you. And you, and you, all the families of the earth shall be blessed. And we know that last part is through Jesus.
Now, is Israel still as a people, as a land, is this still God's special treasure? And I pointed out Psalms 135:4. For the Lord has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel for his special treasure. And there is a great understanding you have to have of Romans 11. God hasn't cast away the Jew, but right now he's working.
through the church. But there's going to come a day when I believe we'll be raptured out, and then he's going to deal again with his people, and he's got some special things that are going to take place there.
Some thoughts you have right there, Dr. Jones. No, I believe that the Lord is still working through the nation itself, bringing about a culmination to which I think is the return of Jesus Christ. And as such, God has a plan for this world that includes Israel and it includes the church. And so what we see here is shocking on one hand, But also comforting to know that God has not abandoned his plan for this cosmos, this world we live in.
as harsh as that is to say, and I don't like saying it, I still believe God is in control of the destiny of the life of the nation of Israel and the destiny of the church. And I'm not about to abandon that because things don't go the way I want them to go. I'm going to trust God through all of this.
Well, as I've developed in my understanding I didn't really start getting serious about a walk with the Lord until I was in my early 20s. And. Trying to understand Where we were and where we're headed. You did. You see the 1 Timothy.
People are getting. Mm. People are the world becomes more evil. We also see the Daniel 12. uh people becoming smarter.
Uh, knowledge is multiplying unreal. It's just incredible. Um, as I sat in with my children, I sat in with other teenagers and talk about where we are today. I think about my grandson, six years of age, and the things that he has at his fingertips that I couldn't imagine at six years of age. I couldn't even imagine what he's getting to do these days.
All these different things the Bible talks about. But it does talk about the world going against Israel and becoming more and more upset with this little... Strip of land. You know, if you look at Israel, it's only like about the size of New Jersey. And yet, every day it's in the news, and every day it's making news.
And we want to talk more. about what is our responsibility. to pray for Israel, to build relationships. We're going to go to a break for some of you. Pick us up on Truth Network, the app, to continue listening.
This is Truth Talk Live. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to Truth Talk Live. It's June the 18th and it's 2025 and there's a lot of things happening that we find in the Bible. That relates to the nation of Israel.
And today we're talking about the church's relationship to Israel. And I've got Dr. Marvin Jones with me. He has written some academic papers and presented these papers at institutions as well as in churches to help Christians understand what their role is. And Dr.
Jones, as we think about again, The the atmosphere Of uh Many of our Ivy League Institutions Why do you think there's been this rise toward just being anti-Israel? What do you think is fueling this? This is a dangerous question, Duane. Yes. Yes, it is.
I've got answered, honestly. The liberal element of our political parties, for some reason, do not. favor Israel.
Now, the reason I say this is dangerous because if you look at the Democratic platform of 1944. that embraced President Truman, who was a Christian and also a Democrat, It has done a three hundred sixty. I'm going to read the words of the Democratic Platform of 1944.
Now, this is when Franklin. Favoritely opening of Palestine to unrestricted Jewish immigration and colonization. and such a policy as to result in the establishment thereof of a free and democratic Jewish Commonwealth. This is nineteen forty four when the whole world was embracing Or at least. the Christian world, I should say, and America, both Christian and non-Christian, they were embracing this ideal that even God was working in 1944 to bring about the nation in 1948.
and the Democratic Party supported that.
Now you do have both Republicans and Democrats and the party and in the country at large. questioning whether that would is a smart move. Again, I think and this is dangerous. But I think we've moved away from the heart of God to understanding that Israel is still. God, the apple of God's eye.
He still loves that nation, still has a plan for it. And if we've rejected them, which we have to some extent, we're rejecting what the Lord is trying to do in our own lives, in our churches and the larger component of Israel itself. And that's one of the reasons I wrote the paper. I wanted us to see that there's a bigger picture here than what's happening in our world on the streets. It's a theological and ecclesiological understanding that God is not done with his church or with his nation.
And he's moving it to a point where the Lord, I do believe, is coming back. Yeah.
Now in your paper You talked about the history of the United States, and then you made a connection on the creation of Israel. Talk to us about how uh How the United States fits into this. And you gave a little bit of that in what you just said, but. Does the nation Israel exist today without the United States? I don't think so.
Now they and I need to qualify that. I think they're a lot stronger today than they were in the late forties.
So David Binguren was the Prime Minister of Israel in forty seven forty eight. And he knew once they declared independence that there would be an impending war with the Arab nations around him. And they got ready for it. They prepared for it. And that did happen.
He was right. They had no guns, any of that. And yet Eleven minutes after their declaration of independence, after their creation of their own nation, President Truman Sent a cable recognizing their right to be a sovereign nation. And what's really interesting, three days later on may seventeenth, Joseph Stalin and the Soviet Union. Followed American recognition of Israel, they also sent a cable saying, We recognize you as an independent nation.
It's amazing to me, we've forgotten some of this, that our even our political system. had sponsored the development of this nation's. And we have continued to support them in various ways, of course, and I think we should.
Now a caveat here, that doesn't mean we agree with everything that a lost nation does. And I understand they're lost. They're outside of God's grace at this point. They've been blinded. But it does mean that we can cooperate with them when they're doing things that would.
Honor the Lord and be critical of them when they're doing things that are unethical and. illegal in some cases. I'll follow you. Did I lose you? Nope.
I'm pondering, and I think we got all the listeners pondering. And we have Dr. Jones, we have Mike Franklin. from Dayton. And uh Mike, uh welcome.
Welcome to Truth Talk Live today, Mike. Do you have a question, a thought for Dr. Jones?
Well, I have a thought for Doctor Jones and um The population of America has changed since nineteen seventy two. Um Yeah, we were 90% Christian before 1972. I mean, people complain, you know, when they filled out the census. They said, we're a Christian nation, you know. And then after that, The population has changed and The Influence on Congress and our lawmakers have changed because.
people are voting different ways based on their religion. And uh there's 4.5 million. Muslims in the world in our in our nation right now. In our nation. And that's huge.
And um And that's what's influencing America. why America doesn't want to deal with Israel. um in our in our school systems and our in our things. We need a great revival in our nation With to be Christian again. And to get back to our things.
And that's what I've been praying for: is that we have a great survival. And our nation.
So then our true core is Christianity, and then our true Um Okay.
Well love for Israel will be right back because that's what the Bible says. And um You know, our nation is is come is turned around the other direction. And we need they took school uh prayer out of schools because of that. They took a lot of things because of that. Because others influences of different m denomina or different religions has come into America and they kept and they got the squeaky wheel out there instead of Amer instead of Christians.
We stood back and watched it happen. But I think we're going to have a revival here shortly, and we're going to push back. And I think we need to. I hope I'm speaking to America to pray for our nation. Pray for our schools, pray for our congressmen, pray for our president that we make the right decisions for Israel and the right decisions for our nation.
And we need to be a godly nation and not just a you know not just the standby nation you know what i mean um We need to vote the right way locally in our cities. Our cities are turning around where I'm at. Because we're involved with our cities. We're taking care of we're going back to Christian the church is going back to the cities and saying, how can we help the poor? How can we do this?
And the mayors are saying, yes, you can help here, you can help there. And and that's what we need to do through the Alpha for for our our local, our state and our our and our our I'm sorry, our federal government. We need to pray and be involved all the way through, and we need to send Christian men into all of that.
Sorry for preaching. Exactly. No, no. We love your sermon, Mike. Don't you ever heard the phrase preaching to the choir?
Well, we're amen. I know, but I'm hoping that other people are listening. You know what I mean? You know, our church is so involved with our local city right now. We're feeding kids from the school system where they don't have food anymore.
We're helping widows and their landscaping. I mean, I am pulled all the directions, different directions where I can help, but God tells me just be there. And that's what I'm doing. I'm being there. There you go.
And that's all we can do is be there, you know, and pray. Prayer is huge. Isn't it? Oh, it is. And Mikey, you're really touching on the right points here of how we have moved away from what we thought people would have known.
And they don't know because no one has ever taught them. And we don't have the Ten Commandments being taught. We don't have people even in churches that are having sermons brought to them about the value of Israel. And when you don't hear that, then you drift away. And we don't have that Bible knowledge.
And I'm hoping part of what's starting to happen because Israel is now even more so in the news. And we're seeing questions rise. I had it at my home where some questions were asked. Why do we support Israel? And it opened up great discussion because we have that opportunity.
Now, to come back and say, here's what God's word says. We've got to get back, the revivalists, back to the word. I think there was a radio program called that years ago. Back to the Bible. We've got to get back to the Bible.
What does God say? And then I love what you've said there, Mike. As a Christian, It's not just preaching at people, but it is putting into action love. Do good works to them that they will glorify God as they see. The Christians are feeding the poor.
The Christians are helping the widows. And those that need that help, when we're doing what we're supposed to do, it causes people to say Christianity is real. And then they want to get into the word. I was encouraged yesterday by all the conversations about vacation Bible school. We've got to keep those going because that's one of the places.
My sister said to me yesterday, you know, Dwayne, there's only, for some people, the only time they're ever going to hear the Bible is when there's a vacation Bible school. We've got to get back to getting the Bible to people so they can know what God has to say. When I give John 3, 16 out, you would think everybody knew what that was. That's not true anymore. They don't even know the basic.
So we've got to get back to the Bible. Hey, we're going to go to a break. You've got a question. You've got a thought. I want you to call 866-348-7884.
We've got one more segment. We're going to keep talking with Dr. Marvin Jones, and we're going to talk about our responsibility to Israel. Truth top You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to Truth Talk Live.

And as well, anytime you want to give someone a birthday verse, you can give them the verse that matches the date. Download that Date the Word app. And today we're talking about some important, relevant Uh Israel. It's in the news, and right now there's so much going on, even before we came on life, of Americans needing to get out of the nation of Israel.
There's potential for greater war with Iran. Our president, the prime minister of Israel, other world leaders need our prayers right now. Dr. Jones, Psalms 122, verse 6. I gotta believe you know what that verse says.
I may have to look it up, but yes, go ahead. He calls us. to pray For the peace of Jerusalem. And uh what what what do you How do we do that? What should we be praying?
One and foremost, I pray for their conversion to Christianity, to Jesus Christ. I make it a habit to meet with rabbis, and those that are not rabbis but are Jewish, go to the synagogue. And I have never felt disrespected by anyone who worships their God. toward Christianity. I I've never felt out of place, any of that.
And what I and that surprised me as a young man, I thought there might be hostility between uh Jewish people and Christian people. It'd be understandable, but I have never encountered that. And so, knowing that they're open to discussing people like Paul, who they do respect, and Jesus, who they do respect. It gives a platform for praying for them individually. To say, all right, now this is who Jesus was.
I realize you don't think he was the Messiah. but would you at least be open to the fact that he might have been? And, you know, it's usually a no, Marvin, I've already made up my mind, but I appreciate you praying for me. And so I want to plant the seed, plow the ground a little bit as much as I can. In praying for that God would open their eyes and save them.
Second, As a nation as a whole, I do pray for their land, that it would produce the fruit they need, that they would be productive in their economy. That their borders would be secure, that they could live in peace. And that's a direct result of Psalm 122, verse 6. Yes. Yeah.
Not only Jerusalem, but all the whole nation. Yes, and you know, I've been to Israel numerous times now, and uh We go back to when they came back to the land, 1940, going into the 48, the nation is created. There's this verse in Isaiah, Isaiah 35:1, it says the desert will bloom. And every time I'm there, I see how more of the desert has come to life. It's just amazing.
It's one of God's great miracles.
So that's part of praying for Israel, that they are. They're able to be productive. And then on this aspect of witnessing to Jews, yes, we want to pray their eyes are open to the glorious gospel. Paul says, I'm not ashamed of the gospel. It's the power of God to the Jew first and then to the Gentile.
We still share the gospel with. uh a Jewish person and uh there are many uh Messianic Jews. They've come to realize. I've been in Israel where I had a Jewish guide. And and she did not believe Jesus was the Messiah.
Uh she said, you know If Jesus showed up right now, I'd ask him this question. I'd ask him, is this your first time to Israel or your second time to Israel? And I heard that's what Larry King told Billy Graham. If he could ask Jesus one question, have you been to the earth one time or have you already been and coming again? And so this lady, she said, I don't believe he's the Messiah.
But then I've had a Messianic Jew, and he came to understand who Jesus is. And then I had an Arab Christian and he had grown up Muslim As a Palestinian, And he came to know the Lord, and he was one of the best guides we ever had as he explained so many things and with a little bit of a different perspective as he talked about the lamb, because he had a different perspective. And then he had come to know the Lord. And so, not long ago, and I don't think I'm speaking out of school here, Will Graham was just there in Israel, and he got to preach in a messianic church. He sent me a text message and he said, Pastor, I just had a Jewish person accept Jesus as their Savior.
So, one of the big things we can be doing as a Christian is praying for Jews to be saved. Be saved, yes. And that's that's a unfortunately, I think that's a missing element. We look at not just not just Israel, but other nations as well, that's their nation. We don't look at it from the biblical point of view that that person who represents that nation or that ethnic group, God loves.
God loves him and we have this awesome responsibility, it's this dynamic relationship to share God's love with those who have rejected him. One of the things I learned years ago, Dwayne, and this comes from an ancient philosopher. The water in the river always changes.
So What I talk about today may not have an impact, but who knows, two years later.
Something you or I might say in a conversation might resonate with that person and they accept the Lord.
So I pray for the conversion of Not only Jewish people, but everyone who's lost. I mean, we need to be about evangelism. Romans 10:1, which by the way is the verse I use for October the 1st, just giving a little plug for date the word. Romans 10:1, brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God. for them, for Israel.
is that they may be saved. Paul's great desire and prayer Was for the people of Israel to be saved. And that should be our great prayer for them to have their eyes open. We do pray for their protection and. There's several verses that I have come across that I just find amazing about how God does watch over his people.
Psalms 121, verse 4, for instance. Behold, he who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. His eyes are always wide open for Israel. And then there's this verse I came across Isaiah 31:5. like birds flying about So will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem.
Defending, he will also deliver it. Passing over, he will preserve it. And that becomes that reminder You see birds flying, just be reminded: just as birds fly, God protects Jerusalem. Exactly. Exactly.
You know, if you look at the development of the nation for the past 70 years, This is going to sound a little harsh, but they were a pip squeak nation with everything going against them. I mean, everything. And here they are now. uh leader at least in the Middle East, if not the world. And there's only one way in 70 years that could have been done, and that was God's hand upon them.
Yes. There's just no other explanation for it. And so that's the reason mine and Stacey, my wife's prayer, they're regularly on our prayer list. God sent the gospel to this wonderful nation that gave us the Messiah.
Well, I go back. You were at Criswell Bible College. I was there hearing Dr. Criswell talk about Israel and his love for the nation, and again, seeing how it fits into biblical prophecy. But he talked about.
How God just raised up this nation again brings them back to life. And all of a sudden... We we have this uh thing called the Nobel Prizes. It's not just a peace prize. Notice who gets all the Nobel Prizes for chemistry and economics.
It's Jewish people. They're blessed by God and they bring so much to our world. We are a better world because of the contributions they make. But right now, there are those who chant from the river to the sea. They want to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.
Exodus 23, 31. That's another Bible verse I came across. That's what God said, I'm giving to Israel. I'm giving the land between the river and the sea. And so they're going against what God has for Israel.
I just want us to be committed to learning more about what our role is as Christians praying. Praying for their salvation. I have Jewish friends that are not saved. I have Jewish friends that are mess mess we call them Messianic Jews. And I have Palestinian friends.
Some of them were saved, some of them were not. And so this is. From a Christian standpoint, we want all people to come to know the Lord Jesus Christ. We may see them politically or nationally as, quote, like an enemy with Russia or China or years ago with other countries, but we always want to win them to the Lord. Dr.
Marvin Jones, thank you for your contribution today. This has been Truth Talk Live. We want as Christians to be relevant in our world, and today, pray. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Psalms 122, verse 6.
Yeah.
