Welcome to Truth Talk Live, a daily program powered by the Truth Network, where pop culture, current events, and theology all come together.
And now, here's today's Truth Talk Live host. When did God come through for you? When did God come through for you? This is Michael Zwick from If Not For God with Mike Zwick, and I've got Pastor Robbie Dilmore now here, the Christian car guy with us. But when did God come through for you? We'd love to get your calls.
866-34-TRUTH, 866-348-7884. But Robbie, I know you've had God come through for you, brother. Oh, you know, the interesting thing about that question is, like, when did you think, like, oh my gosh, this was the big one, and this is, nothing's going to happen, and all of a sudden, you know, the whole game changes because God shows up, you know, however that looks, you know, in your life. And those are the stories, man, we'd love to hear.
I'm excited about the people that are going to call in and share that. Certainly it has happened in my life. I guess one I don't talk about all that often, but, you know, I get an opportunity to talk about it some, was a lot of people are familiar with when God healed me from cancer.
We went and had chemotherapy afterwards anyway, and afterwards, when I finished my chemotherapy, we thought, man, we're going to have a great celebration. And the thing to do is go to a Jeep Jamboree up in Boone, North Carolina. Not Boone, it was in Murphy, North Carolina, and way up in the mountains. And the last day of the Jeep Jamboree, I was with my son, Robbie, and he was in the back seat, and we had all pulled over to unlock our hubs, but it was kind of downhill where we parked our Jeeps. And so I got out to get my son a root beer, and I was standing at the back bumper when I heard this crumbling on the rocks behind me. And I turned around to see this Jeep coming right towards me, right? And, you know, that'll always rock your world, obviously, in lots of ways. And I was like, what in the world? Why would this guy hit me? You know, but I could see that that was what was going to happen.
So I got my right leg up on the bumper, but when two Jeep Wranglers come together, you got a tubular bumper in the front of his Wrangler and a flat bumper on the back of mine. And that necessarily was that crush that I next felt. And I remember, you know, this is an if not for God moment, because you're crying out, and I did. I cried out, Jesus, I mean, and that was it. And what happened, you know, you've often heard people say it was the best of times, it was the worst of times. This one really was the best of times, because God gave me a hug, the likes of which I will never, ever forget.
I always call it a God hug, because there was this feeling that came over me, like, you are fine. Like, you are okay. And, you know, when they got the Jeep finally off me, because they had to took some shenanigans to get the car off of me.
So, and when he did, I crumbled to the crown, not realizing, you know, how bad I was hurt and all that kind of stuff. But as I laid on the ground, the guy that hit me, you know, got out of his Jeep, and he was standing over me screaming, you know, like, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. And he was literally freaking out, but I felt really good, because I was in the middle of this Jeep, so I go, I'm good, you know. And this guy is screaming at me, like, you know, he's like, you know. He's freaking out.
He is, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. And I just looked up at him as, you know, God gives you this sense of humor, and you use it at times like this. I just said, well, dude, man, I'm like, how's your insurance? And that statement immediately, because a lot of the people in the crowd were afraid I was going to go into shock and all sorts of stuff, because it was going to take forever to get an ambulance up there.
They couldn't get a helicopter in based on where we were. And, you know, it was an if not for God moment, because, right, that a lot of things could have happened if I decided to panic. But if not, what I got was this unbelievable piece that transcends all understanding. And, you know, and they finally did get up there, which took a couple hours, you know, and they had morphine and all that, and they hit me. It didn't change things, because I was still high on this that God gave me for that moment. And I always remember it. And I've had horrible things happen since then, you know, I fell out of the tree, so you don't always get a God hug. But he gave me that one that time so that I would know that no matter what, no matter what, he's got what you need in that moment for what he knows your faith is ready to stand for.
And it's a beautiful thing. It's an if not for God moment, and I believe we've got some folks on the phone right now. We've got a Terry, and Terry is out of Cary, North Carolina. Terry, I don't know if you can beat that last story, but go ahead, brother. Yeah, can you hear me? Yeah, we can hear you loud and clear, brother.
Yeah, that's tough to beat. But this one's in another category, Michael, and I have permission from my wife to share it, and it's a very recent one. And it had to do with a situation where I had to leave the church to come home a little earlier, and so my wife was there with our vehicle, and we left instructions. I left instructions with some friends because she's not to drive by herself in the vehicle.
I'm the navigator. So if the car was to be driven, there had to be somebody there with her. I tried to make that clear, but in the process of the arrangements for her to come home after the meeting, it got changed to, okay, you drive, my wife would drive our vehicle, and somebody else would drive right behind her, or right in front of her, right behind her, I think, in this case.
And so they would make sure they knew where we lived. They'd make sure she got to our driveway. Well, as often happens, they got separated in the traffic. This was right before dark. She was within 20, 25 minutes of home right before dark, and both of us have issue with driving at night.
So that was another problem. But because they got separated in the traffic, the other responsible party friend was not able to tell us exactly where they got separated, where to look exactly. So after waiting maybe an hour for her to be home, and I knew there were no stops in between, we had to call the police and get the police involved.
And in the meantime, the friends were very apologetic, not realizing quite how serious the driving alone issue was. And so a number of them were praying, praying fervently for my wife to be located, as I was, of course. And I went out on the main drag, tried to make myself visible physically. The police told me I needed to stay at our home so that they would know where to find me. We had to file a missing person report.
So one hour goes by, two hours go by, three hours go by. By now, in the middle of this, I'm driving with a friend and a neighbor here, a very good friend. And we were going to the favorite places, my wife, one of which was Goodbury's, and we were driving to these places thinking maybe he got disoriented and she went to one of her favorite places, familiar places, but no, she was not to be found in any of these places.
So we gave up on that. So where did you find her, Terry? Because we're about to go for a break and we've got three other people waiting.
Where did you find her, brother? As she was coming home, I had the police on the phone, but I said to my friend, I just feel as peace that everything's going to be all right. Like Robby said, I feel like everything's OK. I don't understand it, but I feel at peace.
Welcome back to Truth Talk Live. I've got Robby Dilmore and we have Terry who is back on the line. Terry, you were almost finished with your story. You had lost your wife. You said there was no way that you were going to find her again. And then you said something happened and you found her. How did you find her? Well, I had turned to my friend while we were driving looking for her and told my friend, I just feel beyond my understanding, I feel at peace.
This must be the peace that passes understanding because I don't feel panicky. I feel at peace even after it's been hours now, but I feel at peace that everything's OK. And then I got back to the house, she dropped me off. I reconnected with the police. I was talking to the police woman about midnight. It had been four hours now and my wife strolls in the door and she said, oh, has that have I been long? And and she said the only thing I was concerned about was that the that the gas needle was on empty.
Have to take a guess. Wow. And then and it was on empty four hours later. God knows where she was, but but he brought her back. He answered those prayers and he put that peace in me, which was deeper than the situation. And that's what he does for us. It's a deeper peace than that.
Then the problem we're in. Well, Terry, thank you for the call. That was an awesome ending.
We love a happy ending and if not for God moment. So we'll talk to you soon. Thanks, Terry. And we are back. We've got Joanne out of Miami.
The phone number is 866-348-7884. Call in with your story. Joanne, what is your if not for God story? Angie. Yeah. Hey, what is your if not for God story?
OK. Hi. So mine is something that happened last week. I had to go and help my best friend with investments for 40 years. She lost her husband about a year ago and there was a court hearing to decide who was the executor of her estate. And sadly, her in-laws are not being godly.
And they're they're they're coming after her property. So the Lord told me the night before the hearing that I was disgusted by on her behalf. He told me to get up in the morning before the court hearing and go to her property and pray over her property.
Bless her property and break off any curses that have come over her property. And I did. I got up at seven o'clock in the morning.
We had a nine a.m. hearing. And I got my anointing oil and I pointed every corner of her property. I prayed over it. I blessed it.
I broke off any curses. And she was not hopeful of this hearing turning out well. And she won. And we were all shocked. We were shocked, everybody.
And we're trying to understand, trying to get the lawyer to understand. So what just happened? He's like, we won. And the first words out of my mouth was God did it. He did it. Like he did exactly what he said he would do if I got up and did what he told me to do. And so that is I'm still reeling from that.
That was about a week ago. And it's just amazing to see when you are obedient and you do what he says, how he can come through and change a situation on the dime that you think is completely hopeless. And he says, I will be there.
I will do it. That the prayers of the righteous avail as much. And I'm just so excited. I love that. I share that story everywhere I can because God showed up.
And if it weren't for him, there wouldn't have been a win that day. Amen. That is amazing. You know what I was kind of reminded of, Angie, is that sometimes we pray these big prayers. And, you know, we say we expect God to do these great things. And then he does that thing that we asked for. And then we're surprised. Right. Right. Because, well, because as humans, we're in our flesh and it looks so dark. It looks like it's not going to, you know, he's not going to show up.
It looks one way. But that's where that supernatural faith that we are supposed to have, you know, kicks in. That he really does have it all. And even if I was the only one in that courtroom that believed he was going to do it, you know, it was still just a happy surprise to see that he did and he'd do what he said he would do.
That is amazing. And Angie, you're out of Texas. So thank you for the call. And I'm sure we'll talk to you soon. OK. Bye bye. Bye bye. Do we have Joanne back or are we still waiting?
866-348-7884. We want your story right now. Do you have an if not for God moment?
Joanne out of Miami, Florida. Yes, I had a God moment and I just got saved in 1978. Never will forget this. And literally I died and came back. How did you how did you die? What happened?
That's what I'm going to tell you. What happened is I got home from from the flea market where I was selling jewelry and so forth. And I just didn't feel good. I said, you know, I'm going to go go and rest.
Well, my husband's friend suggested that he would help me relax. And he gave me something which I should have never taken. And I did. And it was actually a derivative of marijuana and hash oil.
And now these are these days of 1978. OK, so I was scared and I felt like I was dying. I was actually swallowing my tongue.
And what happened is, which my husband told me later on, what I did is. I was in there was there was light in the in the end of the tunnel and then there was a corridor. I began walking in the corridor and did not feel I was alone. I felt like great peace and love as I continued to walk. I know now that there were two angels escorting me, but I did not know that moment of what they were. I found the most beautiful flowers and big, gigantic roses all over the colors and both sides of the corridor.
And the sky was magnificent with different colors like a rainbow. And then I got the most glorious, glorious, pearly gates that I ever saw. And I know that the voice there was there was a voice saying to me, I am not ready to receive you yet.
You have work to do. You must get your family saved and believe in me. I wasn't and I wasn't until later that I realized it was the Lord's voice.
I just got saved. So I didn't even know what was going on at that time. Immediately, I was back in my body and I found my husband looking over me. His face was covered with fear. He was scared as he watched something terrible happen to me. Suddenly, I felt like there was scales coming off my eyes. I could see everything, including the seeds on the marijuana in the in the carpet. I could feel sin all around me. My husband was still hurling on top of me. I had so much strength that I herald him off me and I was only one hundred and three pounds. It was amazing.
Overcoming the initiative of the drug. I asked he asked me later and told me this is what he said to me. I said I didn't remember. And then I closed my eyes and went went to sleep. And it was that he realized that I was not breathing or no pulse. And I yelled, Jesus, Jesus, before that I slept in that moment was frantic.
He was going to call 911 and very angry with his friend and told him he was going to kill him. And give me that drug. And I just woke up instantly. Wow.
Never forget that encounter. Oh, my gosh. Joanne, thank you so much.
That is an if not for God moment. And when we come back, I believe we've got Deborah out of Burlington. Joanne, thank you for the call. Eight, six, six, three, four, truth.
Eight, six, six, three, four, eight, seven, eight, eight, four. Call in now. When did God come through for you? When did God come through for you?
Robbie, we just got finished at the break. And that was an amazing story with Joanne. But, you know, my mom actually recently told me something. She said, Mike, when you were a kid and this was in Winston-Salem, she said you used to have these terrible seizures. And she said there was one time where you were gone, like you had you were gone, whatever. And she said there was only one doctor who knew what to do in that situation.
And he wasn't from there, but it was this one guy who just happened to be there that day. And they took me to him and I came back. And so if not for God, brother, I am here. And I believe we've got we've got some more folks on the on the phone right now, but we've got Deborah. Deborah, are you there? I am. Now, you've been waiting for quite a while, so you must have an if not for God moment, Deborah.
I do. And thank you for having me on. You know, it was mentioned about calling out to Jesus or calling out to God. But I want to read two scriptures. One is from Psalm 46. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
And then from Matthew six versus eight, yeah, verse eight. Do not be like them, for your father knows what you need before you ask him. And that's and I'm getting teary eyed, but my father had passed away. And we had to sell or do something with my mother's house and we had to get the house cleaned out. We decided we would rent the house.
We had to have it cleaned out and just a very short amount of time. It was about a week or two weeks. Well, at the end of the time, I was just tired but wanted to do something different. So we decided to go eat dinner and it was probably an hour's drive, hour and 15 minutes away. On the way back, I was driving and we were close to home. I do not remember when I dozed off to sleep. And generally when you doze, you know, your head will jerk and you'll nod or you might run off the edge of the road and it would wake you up.
I never did that. All I can remember is I was almost home. I lived near a lake, had been driving over bridges. There were deep drop offs on the sides of the road and I was asleep. My husband was awake.
He never knew I was asleep because I would have gotten a lecture because he's been in the fire department and rescue for years. And all of a sudden, with my eyes closed, my hands on the steering wheel, I felt a hand touch my left hand and lifted off of the steering wheel very gently. And that's what woke me up. Now, I don't remember, like I said, when I drifted off to sleep. All I know is when my eyes opened, I was perfectly in my lane driving. I could see the headlights and the, you know, the yellow lines. I was perfectly in the lane.
I had never, ever deviated from driving while I was asleep. And only God, you know, intervening in this for my good, and that's Romans 8.28, that my husband and I could have been seriously hurt, could have been killed. And I know that God intervened. And I did. A little while later, I asked him, I said, you know, the night that I told you that I went to sleep at the wheel of the car? He said, yes. I said, well, by chance, did you reach over and touch my hand? He said, no, I did not. Well, and I knew if he had, it would have been my right hand because he was the passenger on the right side.
It was my left hand that had been lifted gently off the steering wheel to wake me up. Amen. And now, Robbie, that's an if not for God moment. Oh, absolutely. It's beautiful.
Yeah. When you told that story, Deborah, I was reminded of Psalm 46 where it says, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, will we not fear that the earth be removed and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea, though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof, say law. So, Deborah, thank you so much for the call and thank you for always calling in. You're a faithful listener, Deborah. And next, guys, we want your calls. 866-34-TRUTH, 866-348-7884.
We've got our local friend, Jeff Hoover, on the phone. Jeff, when did you have an if not for God moment, brother? Well, I've had quite a few, praise God, but I just wanted to share this one. When I was quickly over in Bethlehem, I was playing on a Palestinian team there, and we were going to a basketball tournament in Jordan, and we had gotten on the bus and we were driving from Bethlehem into Jordan, and we couldn't get through the Israeli security there to get to the border. We got turned around. They showed us how to go down to a particular road, so we went down that road, hit another gate to keep us from going into Jericho, and they turned us around again, and so we got stuck in the desert of Jericho. So we're sitting there, and the Israeli Jeep comes by the bus a few times, and I'm sitting there on the bus with our team and our fans and stuff for the tournament, and then there's this tank that comes from the other side of Jericho, and it drives all the way across Jericho and parks itself right across from our bus, and turns its big gun right there on my window. And all of a sudden, I was sitting there talking to the Lord anyway, and when I saw that, I said, Lord, we have to do something.
What do you want to do? And the Lord said, you need to go out and talk to the Israelis. So I got up and I went to the front of the bus and talked to the people of my club, and I said, well, I'm going to go out and I'm going to talk to the Israelis, and they kind of laughed at me and stuff, and I said, well, that's what God told me to do, and so they knew that I was a missionary, and that I was there with God, so they wanted to see what was going to happen, and so I got off the bus and I stood beside the bus in the front and held up my passport, my American passport, and when the jeep came, it just zoomed right past me.
And so everybody on the bus just started laughing. And so I went back to them and I said, just wait. Next time, God said, you know, to talk to them, so wait until next time, and they're going to stop and I'm going to talk to them. And so the next time they came by, I stood out in the middle of the road in front of this speeding jeep, and every time it swerved to get around me, I stepped in front of it, and I kept moving whichever way it swerved into front of it. Finally, it stopped, and I was able to go and talk to the Israeli soldiers, even though they didn't speak much English, we were able to go and they said, finally, come forth, and I started to talk to them, and they asked me who we were, I said we were a basketball team, they asked about the women and children on the bus, and I said, yes, they're fans that we're taking to this basketball tournament in Jordan and all, and then we couldn't talk much because their English wasn't good in my Arabic and I didn't have any Hebrew, so it wasn't any good. So I asked them, I said, can I go get one of the guys, the head of the club, who was on the bus, and bring him to you, and you can talk in Arabic or Hebrew, you know, either one.
And they said yes, so I went and got the guy, and when I got both of them together, it was able to be communicated what the problem was, they went down to the gate, found out what the problem was from that soldier as well, and really the problem was that they didn't know who we were, and we were on the wrong bus, the Israelis only have one bus that they allow you to go to Jordan on and into Jericho on, and you have to be on that particular bus, we weren't on that bus, they didn't know why we were sitting there in the desert for two hours for no reason, so they were scared of us, we were scared of them and stuff, so it wasn't, you know, there wasn't any communication, but God stepped in and made communication, and he took everything away, so praise God, that's what we needed. The big question, Jeff, I know everybody wants to know is, who won the game? When we finally got to the tournament, we didn't win the tournament. But you definitely had an if not for God moment.
Right, you got to the tournament, so you got to play, who you want, you'll win. And you made it there alive. They all knew that God stepped in and moved, you know, in our behalf, and they thought.
Amen, brother. Well, thank you for the call, and we've got another Deborah. Yeah. Deborah?
Hello? Hey, do we have an if not for God moment for Deborah? Oh, yes, for sure. For sure.
In 2019. I think we might have lost Deborah there for a second, but Robbie, it's... Is Deborah there? Well, you know, we can always call back 866-348-7884. Or you got a moment, and your name doesn't even have to be Deborah.
866-348-7884. When did God show up for you if not for God? Which Mike Zwick's on tomorrow at 12 for the very show we're talking about.
We'll be right back. For God, when was a time when God came through for you? And guys, this and we're coming up on the end of the show in a few minutes, but I want to tell you, this has been exciting, Robbie. And my show, If Not For God with Mike Zwick, we've got an if not for God moment tomorrow with a lady named Jill, and she was a former drug addict.
I mean, terrible. Had been through all sorts of stuff, and God just absolutely saved her, took her out of some situations that were absolutely horrendous. And he just put her on the right path, and you can listen to that tomorrow on the Truth Network. That's at 12 o'clock, what do you want to tell people?
It's at 12 o'clock, noon tomorrow on the Truth Network. And I did want to tell you, I had an if not for God moment as well. In 2019, I went to Hawaii on a trip, and I still don't know exactly what happened.
I don't know if it was the macadamia nuts, or I don't know if it was some fish that I had that day, but that night I walked out on the beach. And when I walked out on the beach, my hands and my head started to swell up, and I felt like I was about to pass out. And so I called my mom, my mom came on the trip with me, and I said, Mom, what do I do? She said, come to the front desk. She said, tell them that you're having an allergic reaction.
She said, because if you pass out on the beach, it's dark outside, nobody's going to know. So I went up to the front, I told them I was having an allergic reaction. They told me to lay down, and I felt like I was just about to either die or pass out, Robbie. And they laid me down, and when I laid down, three times before I laid down, I said, help me, Jesus. Help me, Jesus.
Help me, Jesus. And it's like, immediately, the third time after I said, help me, Jesus, it was like I came to, and nothing was wrong. And so there was a lady who came through, the EMT or whatever, and she talked to me, and she looked at me, and she said, people don't just get better from an allergic reaction like that.
And I told her I prayed, and she just kind of looked at me. And I was thinking, this is amazing, but God comes through all the time. And God has come through from John in Indiana. John, are you on the phone? We are waiting on John. John? Yes, sir. Are you?
Yes, sir. Give us your if not for God story, John, please. Yeah, so about ten years ago, my family and I were visiting my parents, sitting outside underneath a tree, and my dad was telling me that the tree had been losing branches, and he was afraid that one of them was going to go through the roof of his house. So I volunteered to climb the tree and cut down all the branches for him. And in the whole midst of it, as I'm climbing up, I got to a point where I couldn't reach any higher, and my father came up with this idea that he would throw a rope up, and I would tie it around a branch above me, and then tie a loop in the bottom, put my foot in it, and he would hold it and then help me propel up to the next branch.
All that worked out very well, got the whole tree trimmed, and I mean, there was branches all over the ground everywhere. But on my way down, we got back to the same spot, and as he was lowering me down, he's holding the rope, and one of the branches I was holding on to to support myself broke. And when that happened, my dad's immediate response was to try to hold the rope so that I didn't fall to the ground because I was about 15 foot up in the air. What happened was he ended up holding the rope and propelled my head straight down towards the ground because my foot was in the rope, and then he couldn't hold on. And all I could think in my head was, you know, this is it, there's branches all over on the ground, I'm going to end up head first on a branch.
And I remember hitting the ground and just seeing black just everywhere, and then all of a sudden I looked up and my whole family was standing there running towards me, and they immediately told me to lay down because they thought I was injured really bad, but miraculously I landed in the only two-foot diameter on the ground with no branches in it and had absolutely no injury and no pain. Wow. That's an if not for God moment.
That is an if not for God moment. John, thank you so much for the call, brother. That's awesome. Thank you.
All right. And Robbie, I mean, we've seen stuff like this all the time, brother. We've seen it all the time.
As a matter of fact, I was on that same trip that I went to when I went to Hawaii. There was another, there was one other couple there, a group of people, a family, and there was a young man who was with them and they said that when this young man was a little boy, that he was running across the street and he was probably maybe three years old or whatever, and there were cars just coming both ways. And they noticed that he just stopped right before he ran out into traffic. And later on they asked him, they said, what happened? Why didn't you run out into traffic? And he said, Mommy and Daddy, when I was running, my feet stuck to the ground and they wouldn't come up.
Yeah. You know, one of your, you know, I remember all too well about you and the seat belt, right? That's an amazing if not for God. When I think about, you know, you know, again, being the Christian car guy, I always like to think that people are going to wear their seat belt.
On November the first of 2011, I was driving, I had finished up selling insurance for a day, and I was talking to a pastor, I sold him a policy, and he said, just kind of random, he said, I still believe that God heals today. And I said, well, I do too. And we started talking and I just said, there's something different about this guy. And so I left that house, it was over in Germanton, North Carolina, you know, Germanton, right? And it was a very flat shoulder flint something road or whatever, but it was pitch black.
There were no street lights, anything like that. And all of a sudden I was at the bottom of the hill, and I might have been speeding just a little bit, but I was at the bottom of the hill and I was about to go to the top. I was listening to Pastor Charles Stanley, true story, on the Truth Network.
And I always used to listen to the Truth Network even before I came on. And I did not have my seat belt on at that time. And all of a sudden I heard a voice and it wasn't audible, but it was louder than that.
If that makes any sense. And it was something that told me, it was the Holy Ghost, that said you need to put your seat belt on. I was just about to put it on. And then when I was just about to put the seat belt on, I heard another voice and it said, what, you don't trust God. And I said, no, I need to put my seat belt on. So I took the seat belt, I put it on, and I went up to the top of the hill. I flew off the road at how many miles per hour, I don't even know.
And I went straight into a huge tree and it split the tree right to the windshield, right to the windshield. And the state trooper came by or whatever later on and I told him what happened. And he said, well, if you didn't have your seat belt on, he said, we'd be flying you over to Baptist Hospital right now in a helicopter.
If not for God, man. Oh, yeah, I, you know, often, and by the way, you know, I've hosted my show long enough to have, there were two or three people had a similar story where they felt a prompting of some kind, put on your seat belt. And then moments later, there was some kind of horrific accident. And, you know, just as Deborah had said earlier, he is ever president.
When we don't even know this stuff is coming, you know, he's looking out for us. So I was listening to your friend or John talk about falling out of the tree. Was it John?
Yeah, John. I mean, you know, I couldn't help but think of my own experience only in my case, it was thirty five feet, not fifteen. Oh, no. And the branch I was sitting on broken because the way it happened, I went headfirst and exactly the same reaction like this is going to hurt like. And I looked down realizing that underneath me was just gravel, like it's pretty weird gravel. And I thought, you know, literally and I went like, again, you know, you're headfirst.
You think you're going to die? Well, you know, I can't say I didn't get up without any injury. You know, I actually broke most of the ribs on my right side. And, you know, I was just collapsed at the lung on that side.
It certainly could barely breathe. Right. But God miraculously, from my standpoint, how do you want to look thirty five feet up? You're going headfirst into gravel. This is not sand. Right.
This is this is not going to end well. And the earth is hard. But the more comical part of the story from my standpoint is I thought, gee, I can't breathe because I could tell I couldn't breathe. And I thought because being a deer hunter, man, I bet I only have like two or three minutes and nobody knows I'm falling. My family wasn't out there. And so I had to crawl to the back door of the house, which is about 20 feet away. So I, you know, with whatever breath I could gather because I couldn't breathe, I am trying to struggle to get up into the house. And I'm on my you know, my on my belly struggling up the stairs. I crack open the door.
My wife is there with my granddaughter. And I was like, Tammy, Tammy, call 911. You know, whatever I had breath I had.
Yeah. And she said she looked at me and she goes, are you sure? Very caring and loving wife there, right? She had no idea that I had just fallen. You know, I didn't have blood coming out of my mouth or anything. You know, it was just I I'm sure I had this gray look on my face because I couldn't breathe. And then she saw how sick it was. And obviously it was a pretty traumatic situation. But nonetheless, if not for God.
Right. I got in. You know, I didn't walk for days after that.
But I will say that Stu, you know, our boss here at the Truth Network and often the host of Truth Talk Live. He came to visit me in the hospital the next day and said, you know, Robbie, you have a remote at Foot Solutions. I'll never forget this as long as I live. You know, it's coming up this Saturday and there's nobody you know, you've got to do that. You know, can we get a chair out there?
So they put me I couldn't walk, but they had recliner out there. I did that remote, man. I'll never forget it as long as I live.
We had a blast. That was awesome. Tomorrow at noon, tune into the Truth Network.
It's If Not For God with Mike Zwick, story of a hopelessness, drug addict, turn to hope, turn to Jesus. 12 o'clock. Yeah, it's noon time. It's Mike. We'll be there. Thanks, Robbie.
