A Christian radio station in Utah, one of the most powerful in the world, is in crisis due to a damaged transmitter. The station, which broadcasts the gospel to a vast audience, needs $200,000 to replace the transmitter and continue its mission to reach every person on the planet with the good news of Jesus Christ.

He's praying about supporting. Welcome to Truth Talk Live. All right, let's talk. A daily program powered by the Truth Network. This is kind of a great thing and I'll tell you why. Where pop culture, current events, and theology all come together.

Speak your mind. And now, here's today's Truth Talk Live host. And this is a unique day in the life of the Truth Network and Truth Talk Live. I'm Stu Epperson.

Just an honor to be in the studio with you. My voice has really struggled lately. My guest today, his voice has struggled lately. Robbie Dilmore, the Christian car guy, came back from Israel with full-blown laryngitis. I don't know what it is about our radio guy's creation, but the battle's real, isn't it?

He's right in there, he's not, he's taking care of his goodness on the air. We are in a major battle for our life, my friends, in Utah. The enemy does not want you to hear what you're about to hear.

In fact, the enemy doesn't want any of this stuff, okay? The prince of the power of the air is bitter, he's angry, and he's a murderous lying thief, and he does not want the truth to go out across the nation on the Truth Network and across Utah, what's also called the Wasatch Front. Some of the most just strategic places for the gospel are blanketed by our 50,000 watt station in Utah. KUTR, those are the call letters. It's one of the most powerful AM stations in the nation.

It covers parts of three states during the day and at night. AM 820, Mighty 820, 50,000 watts, and it is badly injured. The transmitter is down on the skids. We're running on low power. People literally cannot hear the Word of God right now, and we are asking you for help. We come on behalf of all kinds of external ministries to ours that we partner with to raise funds, some wonderful friends at Bible League, Transworld Radio, all kinds of friends at the Appreciation Project Foundation.

Please continue to support those ministries and all the ones that are on this network, but we need help in Utah right now. Russ East is our amazing manager there. He loves Jesus. He's six foot five, 300 pounds, size 16 shoes, blonde hair, blue eyes.

Those pounds are mostly muscle. He is a born-again Christian. He's going to tell you his testimony right now. Russ East, thank you, my friend, for being on the show, for making an appearance today at the last minute, because this has been so heavy in our hearts. We almost didn't do today's show, but we're going to do it, and we believe that people listening will step up. Russ, good to have you here, brother.

Great to be with you, Stu. So grateful and just trusting the Lord, praising the Lord for all that he's done with adding the 95.3 FM and adding the 103.9 FM over the last 17 years. It's been an amazing adventure seeing Mormons listen to the truth, hearing about the true gospel after all these years, and we just want to keep being faithful. That's all we want to do.

We just want to trust the Lord and just walk with him. Amen. And I want to shout out to KT. I just filled my car up with gas, and I offered KT a Christian radio card to fuel his soul. He's listening right now.

He is a strapping young man who loves Jesus. KT, thanks for listening to 97.7 FM, Winston-Salem, AMA 30, all across North Carolina, and we're asking KT and all the listeners to step up and send a gift of any amount to get this transmitter back on the air. Russ, you're battling, man. You're trying to share the gospel, and your station's not even at full power. Tell everyone the crisis we're in. Be as brief as possible, and tell them about your ministry. We're going to get into your testimony during this hour, too.

Absolutely. Well, you know, we've been, like you said, you know, all these places, the small little towns like Nephi and Moroni and Ephraim, and these little small towns and big places, Salt Lake City, Ogden, Brigham City after Brigham Young, and you know, we are just trying our best with the amazing work of our engineer Randy. We're seeking the Lord to get a new transmitter because we've been trying to do everything.

We spent about 10 hours on Friday just looking at burned out modules that cost two or three thousand dollars just for that piece alone, but this is an older transmitter, and I just know, Stu, that people are praying for us here in Utah, and that Mormons are listening in the privacy of their car, and we just don't want to take that for granted, that people can listen to the true gospel and hear good Bible teachers all throughout the day and night in the privacy, the anonymity of their cars, and because sometimes it's like a Nicodemus kind of situation, you know, and the Mormon people, the unsaved people out here in Utah, they want to just listen and like let God's Word soak in their minds and their hearts, and then amazing things start to happen. I was at a coffee place recently. A guy comes up to me. I'm sitting there, and he saw my magnet on the side of my car door, and he said, are you with the truth?

Are you with AN820? And this guy's about like 30 years old or so, and he goes, yeah, I listen to that all the time, and so he's a former Mormon guy, and he's a Christian now, so I said, do you want to come over to our little studio here in Ogden? You could be on my program called Passion for Christ, and he said, well sure, and so now that doesn't happen every day, but God sometimes gives you those little glimpses of how God is working in the discipleship element and the evangelistic side of the Truth Network in Utah, and so it's a miracle how we got the station way back 17 years ago, and it's a miracle that we're still on the air and that God is just through lightning storms and snakes and things that get in, literal snakes that get through into our transmitter room somehow, and we have just all kinds of weird things that happen that take us off the air, but now we need a new transmitter. We really do. We're trusting God for it, and maybe there's someone out there who would want to contribute towards it. We'd be so humbled by that because we just don't think, we put so many band-aids on this thing.

Band-aids aren't holding up. Yeah, and this is an antiquated transmitter that hardly anyone even works on anymore, and if we can get a two hundred thousand dollar transmitter, it would change everything, Russ. That's installation, that's everything, that's the whole tab, and suddenly our power bill gets cut in half, which is more money that comes into the ministry to reach more people, and suddenly it's easy to work on, and it just solves a whole milieu of problems, and so folks, we're asking you to reach into your heart, to give what you can.

I know one person out there could write a check for the whole thing. It's not ours anyway, you know, it's the Lord's, and we're asking people. I'm a heavy heart, Russ, because I think about all the people across Billings, Montana, people across the outskirts of Utah, people across areas that still have polygamy that want to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ that can't, because AMA20 is just putzing along. It's about to croak, about to die.

We've been on the skids for about a year and a half, and all we need is someone to step up. Listeners, wherever you are, you can pray. You can say, God, work, and do a miracle. We're going to pray right now, Lord, this hour, do a mighty thing, and bring in the funds through all the people.

I just tagged 20 people on Instagram unanimously, or anonymously. Lord, I pray that someone will write a check for a hundred thousand, ten thousand, a thousand, a hundred bucks, a dollar, two hundred thousand dollars, to bless this work of the gospel. Russ East, God bless him and his family, bless his health, and do something mighty this hour. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Russ, we're going to be on all hour. We're going to hear your testimony. People are going to get to know you. They're going to get to know about this critical ministry, you know, because so often the LDS, my LDS friends, Mormons, get picked on as though, well, they're a special brand of odd unbelievers. The fact is that a Mormon needs the gospel just as much as a Baptist who's unsaved, who's playing church at that Baptist church, correct, Russ?

Right, right, absolutely. The Mormon person, maybe like myself, grew up in something that was just, you know, sadly telling lies about the nature of who Jesus is, you know, what is the gospel, and it's a twisty-anity kind of a product that many thousands of people have embraced. And when those Mormon missionaries come to your door, you know, we want to be prepared, and we want to get equipped in how to reach them for Christ, and to be able to communicate well. And so that's where, if you'd like to go to UPFC.org, the acronym for Utah Partnerships for Christ, that's where you can request some free materials. I'll do some free, you know, coaching with you, go to your church and do a workshop, you know, but this is where you can go to make a donation, and that's UPFC.org to help us. You should see something on our website right there.

Yes, it's easy to donate there. Look, we haven't had time to put together a sophisticated GoFundMe and all these, you know, fancy-chancey-handsy websites, but Russ, stay on. Folks, you're going to hear some shocking but powerful testimonies when we come back. You're going to hear about rattlesnakes, lightning storms, and why we need to keep 50,000 watts going in Utah, and more, and even your calls coming up on Truth Talk Live. Hang on. It's a rare moment. It's a rare moment when crisis hits home at the Truth Network, and I've been getting calls and emails, four of them this weekend, from the man on the phone with me to the point where I hit the wall. I literally hit the wall.

I'm looking at Grayson right now. He's like, Stu, this is interesting. You're usually talking about, you know, debating an atheist or, you know, talking about some crazy, violent worldview issue or some sort of apologetic theme, which we do a lot on this show, but we're taking a second because the Truth Network is in a lot of pain right now. You know, they say part of your body is hurting. You know, you've got even a hangnail on your toe. You're like, oh my soul, I can't walk, I can't even move without this, or even another injury that's nagging. It's like your whole body is adjusting to accommodate that, and we have a badly wounded radio facility in the Truth Network that's been bringing people to Christ like crazy that Shane and Dixie wrote this message. Russ East, they wrote, Salt Lake City can be a dark place, AMA20 and the Truth Network shines brightly here.

Thank you for your efforts for the King of God. These people found our station. These people found Jesus, Russ.

You meet people all the time. The people listening to this show right now, wherever you are on your phone app, whoever your KT, a guy I just met, there's someone I met earlier who's listening to the radio station, other friends. What you're hearing is the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We are proclaiming the King, the only King who came and died for his own subjects so that we could live forever with him. Russ, you've been doing this in Utah, and you're going at about a third or a fourth the power because our station has been crippled, it's been hamstrung, the transmitter's down, it's 30 years old already. We need a new transmitter, and basically we're asking the Lord for $200,000 through our listeners. Now if $500,000 comes in because a wealthy millionaire who just inherited a bunch of money from an aunt writes a check, hey, we'll take it. And we'll go buy more transmitters. And we'll buy as many stations or websites as it takes to reach the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Russ, is God too small for this, friend? Russ, what about it?

Talk to me. Well, hey, you know, there are people that are listening to these three frequencies that the Lord has been so kind and gracious to give us, and that the guys back in North Carolina are overseeing, and all the crew, all the guys back there on production and all this. But it's people that have been praying and supporting through our sponsors and things. I know, for instance, like when I recently gone over to a big box hardware store and I said, hey, I just want to thank you, and I want to invite you to listen to 103.9 FM. And this lady says, oh, yeah, I listen to that. Oh, great. You know, cool. You know, or I'm at Walmart and I'm talking to somebody there, the checkout person, and I say, hey, I encourage you to try out listening to AMH 20s.

Oh, yeah, I listen to that. You know, so this is happening, you know, left and right, you know, and some people haven't yet heard about it. But I am concerned about our ability because we're on, like you said, we're on our backup transmitter right now. If that thing goes, for some reason, we get hit with a big old lightning strike, which we get a lot of those out here in Utah, then we don't have anything. You know, well, we could still maybe go temporarily, but the way things are now, we've got to get a new transmitter. We've just got.

That's the bottom line. And Russ, there's a lot of ways to skin the cat and a listener out there maybe skeptical, say, well, haven't you explored a smaller power transmitter? Have you? We've explored everything. We've talked to the smartest engineering minds. We scoured the floor at the Religious Broadcasters Convention. We talked to every engineer there alive, and we had them email all their friends. We've been prowling for a cheap 50,000 watts transmitter. We've been prowling for parts.

Russ sent me an email with 30 parts and all these pictures. But at the end of the day, the bottom line is this. Our Christian radio station in Utah is almost gone. 50,000 watts is the power that the FCC allows only a handful of stations nationwide to operate at. This is one of those stations.

It covers almost the whole state of Utah. 50,000 watts. And right now, it's only at about 10, and it's on the skids. It's broken. We've put band-aid after band-aid, and we desperately need a new one.

Really bad. And these two gentlemen who bought my lunch today, I'm going to shout out to Stuart and to Joel, godly men, who I shared this with are listening right now on 105.7 FM in Charlotte, in Matthews. God bless you guys. They bought my lunch. Jimmy, our waiter came by with some bread, some olive oil, with a delicious pimento cheese dip, by the way. It roosters here in Winston-Salem. And we said, Jimmy, at some point today, we're going to leave you a good tip, and then we're going to tell you about a Christian radio station.

97.7. He stopped. He said, I love that station.

That's all I listen to. And then we prayed for him. We prayed for our food. And the guy kind of teared up and said, man, you know, I'm in the industry, in the service industry, and we don't get a lot of that.

And he was touched. But people listen to Christian radio to be encouraged to find a good church to attend, to be blessed, to be built up in the faith, and it's a life source. And especially in Utah, where there's far fewer churches per capita than there are in the Bible Belt, where there's a church on every corner. You can't back your truck up without bumping into a church. But when the Truth Network comes on, and other wonderful Christian stations that carry this program, by the way, across AFR, across all of our friends at Wilkins that are brave enough to carry this show, when your stations come on, it raises the bar. Pastors hear sermons by other pastors who actually open the book, and study the book, and preach the book, because the power is not in some radio station, not in the voltage, the wattage, not in the FCC allotment of power that we're allowed to use to broadcast. The power is in the Word of God.

And this 50,000-watt vehicle God has given us in Utah is just about at the end of it, and we need literally $200,000 like today, like by five o'clock! So that we can keep this ministry going. So this website's easy. UPFC. Is it.org or.com, Russ? It's.org. UPFC.org. All you do is you go there. And then, when you go there, you simply— There's a drop-down menu on the donate button, and then you go to the—there's a drop-down menu that says, Outreach on AM820.

You can click on that, and it's really simple, it's very secure. We've had that going for a long time, and that's where people can go, Stu. Okay, and so I've challenged Russ to up his social media game, which means, Russ, you've got to hand your phone to your kids.

I know it's tough, but it's a mentoring moment. And you say to Kaylee or any of your daughters, your son-in-law's here, set me up an Instagram account. And suddenly, you're in front of a billion people who are on that platform.

I just posted on my story on Instagram, Russ, some people you've never met, who've never even heard of you, okay, including two pro basketball players. I just tagged them to ask them to write a big check to support—to get us a new transmitter so the gospel can blast out. And by the way, friends, we just opened the portal up on our 50,000-watt station in Utah that is only at a little bit of power right now because it's broken, and it's beyond repair. We need a new transmitter. We just opened the portal, Russ, for people to hear. Right now, people in Provo, Utah, are listening to AM820. They're listening in Layton, just above Utah, toward Ogden to 103.9, and all across South Salt Lake and Provo and beyond, they're listening to 95.3 FM. Those are all fed by the AM820 signal, which is just a powerful—one of the most powerful Christian stations in America, reaching one of the least Christian areas in the whole United States.

But God's working, but we need your help. Russ, this is big. Tell everyone what KTR looks like with 50,000 watts.

Just tell everyone what it looks like, please. Well, it just covers such a vast area. When it's at full strength and we're able to do that, I mean, the places north, south, east, and west, we're talking like a potential listening audience of around 3 million people, and so that's huge, I think. And people across, you know, Grand Junction, Grand Junction, Colorado! We've had reports of listeners from there. We've had reports of people on into Montana. We've got people in these border states, and of course, blasting across Utah is 50,000 watts of truth, but right now, it's just puttering.

I mean, it's barely making it. So UPFC.org, big shout out to Julie, a North Carolina listener, who just texted us! She not only wants a car magnet for her local station, she wants to send a blessing to the station in Utah. Isn't that amazing, Russ?

Just like that! She's already emailed us. If people could see the emails that we've received, like the one from the Provo area, where this lady talks about she and her husband listening to our programs of pastors talking about the true Jesus, not the brother of Lucifer. You know, we want to be gracious. We want to show our Mormon friends that the one true God really loves them. But we want to talk about Grace.

She didn't even know that Grace was. She had to look it up on Google. Okay, we're gonna talk more about this when we come back. Give the website any gift of any amount. If it's a large gift, the closer we get to 200,000, the better, because we're getting a new transmitter for the glory of God. What's the website, Russ?

Real quick, and then we got to go to a break. We'll make this a podcast, too. Go ahead, Russ. What is it? UPFC.org. Listen, why would I go into a coffee shop and they say, what's the name of your order?

And what do I tell them when I'm in Utah? I say, it's AMA20. That's not a name.

I gotta pull the numbers up. That's a station. And I'll leave my latte up there on that counter to get cold as long as it takes for everyone in that coffee shop to hear AMA20.

Why does Russ in a Walmart parking lot pass out Christian radio cards in a gracious way? Not to threaten someone. A single lady's getting in her car. I'm not going to go up to her and say, hey, listen to the station.

But maybe there's a big family walking in their car. Hey, I just want to tell you about a cool station that'll help your family. AMA20. Why do we do these kind of things? I have a lot of things I could be doing right now, okay?

4 o'clock Eastern time is the day, the actual day and time and space that I'm on the radio. Russ, you have a whole lot of things. You have grandkids. You have family. You've been offered to go on a bike ride today, hiking.

It's beautiful in Utah. Yet I'm sitting behind a mic and I'm in here and I'm getting worked up and I'm calling people off the air because we have a radio station that is so powerful, that is reaching so many people, but it's about to die. The transmitter is just about to die, and the Lord just put on my heart last night, get Russ on the air, who by the way, he's had laryngitis and has been sick for a week or so. Robbie Gilmore is sick. He couldn't do the show today. He's not sick. He has laryngitis. Can't talk.

We're radio guys. My voice has been struggling for like the last two weeks, and yet I'm on this air, Russ, because the Word of God is bigger and more powerful than all of us. And the devil doesn't take one day off.

He doesn't take a second off. And by the way, if you're a Christian, you're listening right now, there's someone who's trying to kill you, cut your throat, destroy you, and take your soul, and his name is the devil. He's the thief who comes to kill, to steal, to destroy.

John 10-10. He is the roaring lion of 1 Peter 5 verse 8, who is prowling about, seeking to devour you. And let me tell you what he doesn't want. He doesn't want a massive 50,000 watt radio station in the middle of Utah, blasting the good news of Jesus Christ, the Savior who came who offers his life, who dies so you can have life, and only you can be saved by grace. And Russ, this station is sidelined. But Russ, we got to wake up!

I mean, what are we doing here? And we need, friends, we need your help as humbly as I can ask you. I beg you, I'll get on my knees in the studio, and God's in full control, but he's put this passion in me to invite our listeners to share so that we can get on the air next week and say we raised $200,000, God raised $200,000, so we can get a new transmitter so we can blow that station up all over Utah with the good news of Christ. Russ, wouldn't that be amazing?

Absolutely. You know, I'm sitting here looking at this street, Riverdale Drive, in the Ogden area, and there's cars after car after car, and they've got radios in there. They've got the news, they've got the talk, they've got the sports and stuff, and there are our three signals, and we've got our app, but we need our transmitter. We've got local churches. We're one of the few radio stations here in Utah that will play good local churches. We believe in supporting the local church, so that's why we have Intermountain Baptist and Faith Baptist and Main Street Church and the Mission Church, and we have the Lifeline Community Church, and we have the ministry of Mormonism Research Ministry, Bill McKeever and Eric Johnson. We have a ministry of Christy Darlington in Colorado that is reaching out to the Mormon people as well, and I'm telling you what, it's encouraging, it's exciting to know that these guys, they support us.

They support us. They know that this is a great, great lighthouse of the truth of the gospel, but like Stu, like you've been saying, we're on minimal power, and that's just because we're on our backup transmitter, and that's just what we're left with right now. We're grateful for that, but it's not reaching out to the people that we want to reach. We want to reach everybody that we can and maximize this powerful, this outlet, this amazing, this miracle. You know, as much as the mountains I'm looking at are miraculous creations of God, He's created the airwaves. He's created all these airwaves and things on the internet and on all this technology.

It's amazing how this works. I'm reminded of a lunch I had with a man who was Mormon. He got saved, but he goes to work. He told me he went to work early just to be able to listen to the Truth Network, and he didn't want anyone to know.

He just didn't even want his wife to know at the time. I haven't talked to him in a long time, but he would just tell me this just face to face, and so he'd sit in the parking lot at work and just listen. Another guy comes to my mind, he listens at work. You know, he was a former Mormon. He just is just really hungry for Bible teaching and to see what these are saying, different Bible teachers, and so he just laps it up, you know, and it's just stories like this that keep me going and keep me encouraged. When I come out there, Russ, I leave just buoyed up in the faith. Last time I was out there was with Pastor Allen Wright. I sat there in the room with him and about 25 people and a very high-level Mormon leader, and I heard them going at it with the gospel, and this guy was asking tough questions, and it was powerful. You could sense the spiritual warfare in the room, right there in the big blue house.

I had to leave the room, I walked the campus of Weber State and shared the gospel with all kinds of people. Passed out God Loves You cards, told everyone about AM 820. And the sad thing is, at 10,000 watts or at the minimal power we have now, it's normally a 50,000 watt blaster, with the damage to the transmitter, which is irreparable without a new transmitter, people even up north can't hear the station. People far south can't hear the station. People to the east, all the way up in Park City who are used to hearing AM 820 can't hear it. We need a new transmitter, and that's why we're taking this whole hour to give back, but it's kind of... Russ, I mean, we haven't done this for our own network, but you know, you're out there, your family's out there, you've been serving Christ out there for decades, you have a program called Passion for Christ, which I love it.

I listened to it this weekend. I mean, you recorded that with laryngitis, and you witnessed to a guy you didn't witness, you interviewed a young man who is a now full-time missionary to Muslims, less than 1% born again in the area he ministers, and he was a devout Mormon before he came to Christ. And you did a whole interview with him on Passion for Christ with laryngitis.

You didn't pass the buck to someone else, you didn't postpone the interview, you did it, Russ. This is so, so important, man. Any way we can get people to Jesus, and God's given us this wonderful resource, and all we need is for people to step up. People across 91.7 FM listenership, 91.3, 91.9 St. Augustine. A friend of ours just graduated from a school down there, and we told her and her family to listen to 91.9. So many loyal listeners all these years. People across 106.5 in Toledo, 106.5 FM across Dayton and Greenville, and on into Muncie, and on into the outskirts of Lebanon and Cincinnati. People that are listening in Raleigh on AM 1090, like my buddy Jeff who called me during the break, and I talked to him, I said, we need to raise money, we need $200,000. Russ, $200,000 solves this transmitter problem, and it gets our listeners involved, and maybe 20 people will give $10,000, maybe 200 people will give $1,000, maybe one person will give $300,000, and we'll spend the other $100,000 in putting billboards all over Utah like we did at the very beginning. Remember, we put those Got Truth question mark AMA20 billboards, and you had those magnets? Remember that, Russ? Yeah, absolutely, and I'm reminded of when somebody, we didn't know who it was, but they made their own little makeshift sign, and it was such that it said Got Truth AMA20, and a guy listened to it, and he got saved through it, and his wife got saved, and his son got saved. Unbelievable. And that was an amazing time, the early days of the ministry.

Yeah, that was back in like 2000, maybe 10 or 2008, somewhere in there. Yeah, yeah. And you know, that guy's name was Ross, and he sent us the nicest letter about how he saw this sign. Someone heard the radio station. They handmade a sign, we want to know the truth or Got Truth, just like we had advertised, and they put, you know, with crayon or marker or sharpie, AMA20 in their yard. So Ross is this rugged construction guy who saw that sign. He turned it on. Next thing you know, he and his wife get saved.

They get plugged in. Now they're leading a small group in a church in Utah, a solid evangelical church, and I went out to the banquet later that fall, Russ, and I believe Todd Friel, one of those guys, was speaking at your banquet, and this guy, Ross, gave me this big hug, and this guy was rugged. He was strong, and tears flowed down his cheeks. He said, thank you for putting this 50,000 watt AM radio station in Utah, where I can hear Alistair Begg and Greg Laurie and John MacArthur and great Bible teaching 24 hours a day in Truth Talk Live and Passion for Christ with Russ East.

And Russ, that's why we do it, but we're in a pinch right now. For those of you that just joined us, I have Russ East, our manager, the Truth Network leader in Utah. Our station in Salt Lake City, Utah, one of our most powerful stations in the network, one of the most powerful Christian stations in the world, AM 820. It's 50,000 watts. The transmitter has been badly damaged. It's normally 50,000 watts. It's way down on low power, and it's about to go kapui. It's about to be gone. We need $200,000 raised, given, blessed to Russ's nonprofit, UPFC.org ASAP, so that we can buy a new transmitter. It will cut our power bill in half, and it will give incredible coverage.

It'll blast all over Utah and parts of three states. Russ, it's that easy. All people need to do is give, and it's not their money anyway. It's the Lord's, right? And there's so many people who are gracious, aren't they, Russ?

Absolutely. You know, if those hearing our voice right now will just pray and say, Lord, what can I do, big or small, to help us? We would be so grateful. I'd be so grateful.

Stu would be grateful. The whole team at Truth, they've invested a lot of time and energy into KUTR, and we just want to be faithful. We're not done yet. You know, we feel like there's still so many more people to reach, and we've just got to stay on our knees and trusting God for this amount that will help us get back to where we were when we first started.

Yeah, amen. And this is really, it's about the gospel going out. It's about souls getting saved. And I'll tell you one thing about my Mormon friends. They're ambitious missionaries.

They're hopping on bicycles and going door to door, and they are generous givers. Mandatory 10% tithing for every Mormon, or you're out the door, okay? Now think about that, Christians. Think about the chance we have to support this radio station, this radio work in Utah, where the gospel, the truth, is going out.

Not a lie. Not the deception of the Book of Mormon, the Pearl of Great Price, the Doctrine and Covenants, all false books written from the halls of hell to deceive. No, we're talking about the Word of God, the Bible, going out. Imagine when these Mormons hear the truth, and they realize, wait a second, it's not my goodness. It's not my goodness plus his goodness.

It's not 99% him and 1% me. No, it's all of grace. When they hear that message, when they hear that Jesus Christ is not the half brother of Lucifer. He is the Savior. He is God the Son. He's the Son of God. He's the only one that can redeem you.

And there's not all these other things that are just completely false doctrines, okay? I've touched, I put my hand on the masonry symbols and the satanic symbols in the Mormon temple when I was there. Russ, you took me. We took pictures. We were talking too loud, remember?

I was trying to record a podcast with you. Remember that? Yeah, we've had a lot of great moments like that when we've just been struck with the deception and the overwhelming lostness of the state of Utah. Places like Provo where it's literally like 0.2% Christian in that whole county.

Imagine that, you know, very few good Christian churches there. But 95.3 comes in loud and clear, but it's because of the way our station is formatted. We really need to have the AM 820. It's an integral part to making it all work.

It gets complicated as to how all the details. UPFC.org. We still got another segment with Russ East. And thank you for everyone that's been supportive. More coming up and some powerful testimonies.

UPFC.org. You know, I absolutely love you, the listeners of this show. I love bumping into someone who listens to me talk a little bit and they say, wait a second, I know your voice. You're the guy here on Christian radio. So kind.

So many people. Lives are being changed. I'm jumping out of the car, filling my car with gas. Just a sharp young man walks out to get in his car. I catch eye contact with him and say, hey man, I'm on the air in just a few minutes.

Check us out. Handed him a Christian radio car. He said, man, I'm going to listen.

Thank you. And I just got his name. I told KT, I gave him a shout. He's listening right now.

KT's listening. People like this all over the all over the country. People want to hear the good news of Jesus Christ. They want to hear the Word of God, which is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword. People want to join this crusade to reach every nation.

We're not going to stop Russ East until every single person on this planet has heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And we have a stronghold in Utah, 50,000 watt station, that desperately needs your help right now. We're trying to raise all hour long.

$200,000. That's what it costs to install and build and create and set up a brand new transmitter. The transmitter, the current transmitter, is on the skids. It's 30 years old and it's about to die. And when it dies, we'll have no signal.

We've got to get something new, something that's easier to work on and fix, that's easier to maintain and sustain, and it cuts our power bill in half. We have a great engineer out there, Randy. He needs your prayers.

Russ needs your prayers. Friends, this is an appeal to you, and this is a big thank you to partners that come along this program. If you know a Christian business, if you know a foundation, a ministry that God's blessed, that wants to support and partner with us and underwrite this programming, we really do need your help. I'm going to send this podcast to some friends who are hiding net worth.

I'm going to blind copy them on the email. I'm going to say, please consider a gift of any amount. $200,000? $500,000? You want to give us a million? We'll take it! We'll take a million.

A million dollars would change UPFC. All kinds of signals. We'll get a station in St. George. We'll get a station. We'll get more signals all over Utah, and we'll send the gospel wherever we can. We'll grow our podcast network.

The digital space is blowing up. We have a podcast. Russ has a podcast on which he featured recently the Bible League. We're trying to get 3,500 Bibles across the world right now to Bibleist believers. They've come alongside with us. You can learn more about the Bible League at truthnetwork.com. There's a giant graphic for them on there. Our friends at vinetastic.com, they underwrite us because they know how important health is to our listeners. vinetastic.com, promo code TRUTH. They stand with us with their drink that Russ probably doesn't even know about.

It has no sugar, no carbs, no calories, no artificial sweeteners, but loaded with phenolic compounds and antioxidants from the muscadine grape. They stand with us, Le Bleu Ultra Pure Bottled Water, Mighty Muscadine. These are friends that believe in what we're doing to change lives, that make this ministry possible. And I would say, Russ, our ox is in a ditch. I would say you are very kind, patient, and restrained with your emails and your calls, because I'm not driving around Utah every day listening to static when I should be hearing a powerful message by Charles Stanley, or a powerful message by Chad Harvey, or a powerful message by John MacArthur, or Greg Laurie, or David Jeremiah, who you can hear them, but the station is down. It's 50,000 watts, and it's crippled, and Russ, it's got to break your heart that you're only reaching maybe a third of the potential audience of this thing right now, and that's why we're doing the show today.

Absolutely. I've got to share with you real quick two stories. One was with a gentleman who had been a Mormon for probably 30 years or so. He was on a talk show with Stu, Truth Talk Live, by the way, and I was listening at the same time. Stu sent me the gentleman's phone number. I got together with him at a restaurant, and Stu, you got to meet him. He's my friend. This gentleman's name is Greg, and he got saved through a local church in Utah, and just an incredible testimony of how that event in his life of becoming born again. It over spilled over to some of his family here in Utah.

I can't help but think about a gentleman who's now 91 years old. He's a Korean War vet, and he listens to AM 820. There are people that are listening to our AM, our FM, our podcast.

They're listening to the app, but we really need this transmitter because we've been on it for 17 years, and like Stu said, it's reaching a limited number of people right now, and we want to just be a good steward. We want to trust the Lord. This is the Lord's work, and so we're reaching out to you listening to the Truth Network right now. Would you pray?

Would you pray? I know you can't maybe come out here and be in Utah and be amongst the Mormon people that might look at me as an apostate, but that's okay. This is where God's called me to be in my family. We've been here for 32 years, but there's this partnership with Truth, and with Utah Partnerships for Christ has been a huge blessing.

We're humbled by it. We're grateful, and I would just ask you, would you consider please helping us raise $200,000 that would cover the cost for a new AM 820 transmitter? UPFC.org. We're trusting the Lord for his provision.

Tell them what UPFC stands for, Russ. This stands for Utah Partnerships for Christ, and so when we first started, we put radio in our bylaws. We wanted to utilize the power of radio and the internet together to reach this land for Christ, and we want to walk with Christ.

We want to do this with him, not ahead of him, not behind him. He doesn't need us, but you know what? He saved me out of the Mormon church when I was 14 years old, and so I am compelled to want to keep on trusting God for his strength to be just faithful. I can't guarantee that all the Mormons are going to get saved here. I wish they would, but we're going to trust the Lord that some will be saved. That's what it talks about in Acts 17. Some got saved, some believed, and man, I don't want to get lazy.

I don't want to coast. As long as he gives me breath, as long as he gives Stu breath, and the Lord's keeping the lights on, we're just going to keep on being an ambassador for him, and this is a great way to do it. Can you imagine a school of hospital rooms, convalescent homes, trucks, cars, workplaces that are hearing the Word of God?

You know, there's so much competition out there, right? But people can just tune into our station, they can listen to it day and night. And these long commutes, I mean, they can't go necessarily to a church that's evangelical, they can't maybe bring things up with their family, and they wouldn't dare bring this up to their priest or their stake leader, but they can listen, as we know, high-ranking members of this denomination, LDS, have listened to the radio because they're in their car, and they can turn on AMA 20, you can hear it just about anywhere across that part of the state and into other states, into Grand Junction on the one side, into Billings, Montana. A lady listens to us every morning at 4 a.m. in Billings! She sent us an email thanking us for our ministry, but now the station's down and it can barely get outside of the area of Salt Lake City, so we really need your help. We really need your help.

It's kind of like, let's use a wartime analogy, it's kind of like Russ is our major infantryman, spreading the gospel across Utah, and he has no gun, or his gun is only shooting half bullets or blanks right now. He needs the 50,000 watt blaster gun, gospel transmitter of AMA 20. We need it replaced. We need a new one. We've repaired, repaired, repaired. We need a new one, and it's going to be $200,000 at the end of the day.

We've squeezed it. We've tried to get it down and played with this and that, but anyone anywhere listening, my buddy RC in Florida just texted me, he says, I'm sharing this show on social media right now. God bless you, man.

Thank you. Anyone that could just go to that website, upfc.org, and send anything you can, it's not yours anyway, it's the Lord's, and help us get this transmitter replaced so that we can get the gospel going out across Utah a full blast. Right, Russ? Yeah, we're trusting the Lord for a really miraculous kind of a thing here, kind of like Normandy almost, if I can just very, very cautiously use that kind of analogy, but we need the allies to come in and storm the beach. Storm the beaches, yeah, and that's the power of radio. Yeah, yeah, like Dunkirk, you know, that was all happening. That was tough because it didn't look good, but then the people of England, they rallied around, they rescued the people, the troops that were still there, we need something like that. You know, if possible, I know there's lots of great needs out there, but would you consider helping us reach these Mormon people for Christ?

This is lots of needs, we have this, we're talking about this one right here. So this is the one that you're hearing is going in your ears, in your mind, in your brain, in your heart. You go to God and you say, Lord, this estate thing I have, this extra tax return money, it's going there, and we'll take it and we'll go get a new transmitter, we'll blast all over, and you can reach. I don't even know, I couldn't mention the lady's name if I knew it because she gave me a hug and she said, thank you for your station here, and I asked Rush later, why won't this lady leave the compound? She's in polygamy, what's wrong with her? And Rush said, well, she could not only be killed, but her kids could be killed.

You think I'm kidding? This is war, my friends. This is a battle, not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers and rulers of darkness in this world who do not want the word of God going out. So please step up, stand up.

The website is simple, upfc.org. You know, Rush, I don't even think we had time to put that in our truthnetwork.com site, but we're going to put it up at some point, but they can go to your site, they can click on donate now, they can get their credit card, and they can max out and give so we can get a new transmitter. And Rush, you keep me posted, and we'll have you on again.

We're not going to do this show like this, you know, tomorrow, this week. We've got some great shows lined up for Truth Talk Live this week across the network and Truth Talk, but this is about reaching folks with the gospel. This is about two guys that went to Bible college together, and the one guy went to Utah, full-time ministry, having to get saved out of Mormonism, and he called the other guy every year, multiple times a year, sometimes multiple times a week, and said, Stu, you got to do a Christian radio station here.

And of all things, he put in his bylaws to do Christian radio, and what happened? That's where we are. That's how this station started.

Russ called Stu, that's me. I prayed for everyone but Jonah to go to Nineveh, and God sent me Truth Network to put 50,000 watts on the air. Seventeen years ago, thousands have been impacted by it, but right now, it's crippled. The transmitter's about to go kaputz. It's done. We need $200,000 for a new transmitter, and Russ, people can give how?

Tell them one more time how they can give, and then give your phone number if they want to call you, and just give you a credit card over the phone. Okay, it's UPFC, acronym for Utah Partnerships for Christ, or you can call me at 801-645-7433. Wow, and that's his cell number, friends. Unbelievable. UPFC.org. Bless you, and praise God for what he's going to do through this new transmitter.
