Truth Matters 88 (June 21-25)

The church at Sardis is commended for its name, but Jesus finds their works imperfect. He warns them to be watchful and strengthen the things which remain, lest they die. The Lord also commends those who have not defiled their garments, promising them to walk with Him in white. Meanwhile, the city of Sardis was considered impregnable but was ultimately defeated by a surprise attack due to its overconfidence in its security.
