A plane crash in Washington D.C. has raised concerns about air traffic control and diversity equity and inclusion policies. President Trump has suggested that diversity hires may have played a role in the crash, and the FAA has been criticized for its hiring practices. Meanwhile, protests have erupted in Gainesville, Georgia, over immigration policies, with many residents expressing concerns about the impact of illegal immigration on their community.

Todd Stearns. Oh, yeah.

Well, hello, everybody. Welcome to the Todd Stearns Radio Program. Wow, we have got a lot going on. A lot of breaking news at this hour. President Trump just wrapping up a press conference.

And it is as we had feared. Hello, everybody. Welcome to the show today. And we've got a lot to get through. Cash Patel, Tulsi Gabbard.

Also, we're facing nationwide protests involving illegals. And of all places, Gainesville, Georgia, one of those cities, we're going to be getting a live report on what's happening in Gainesville. But I want to start with this press conference that we just had here. President Trump. addressing the nation and taking questions about what happened last night.

Now Many of you know that The chief executive officer for my company, Stearns Media Group, and I own a radio station, digital platforms, and of course this radio program. And the chief executive officer is just an incredible human being, Dalton Glascock. And Dalton is a regular on the program, and he is also serving on the city council there in Wichita. And he was not on that flight. Yeah.

However, there are a lot of people that are from Wichita, and we have so many listeners there in the Wichita area, KQAM, the big talker. And we're certainly praying for the good citizens of Wichita as people wait to find out if their loved ones were, in fact, on board that flight. An individual that Dalton was very close to, she was on board that flight, and she was among those who was killed. in the uh plane crash. And so we're going to be talking to Dalton a little bit later on in this program, and he'll also be on my Newsmax TV show a little bit later on.

But it's a tragedy, and it impacts everybody. And I called Congressman Ron Estes, who is going to be joining us. There was a lot of concern about who was onboard that flight, the nonstop from Wichita to Washington, D.C. Um last week there was a big figure skating competition in Wichita. And many of the people on board happen to be young people, teenagers, teenage figure skaters.

And their parents, and they were flying back from Wichita to the East Coast. It's a terrible tragedy. And it's one that could have been prevented. And that's why President Trump is just raging right now. Yeah.

And I will tell you right away, ladies and gentlemen, that I I just don't believe it is safe to fly in America. And I have felt uneasy flying in this country. I do a lot of traveling by flight. I'm well over a million miler for with Delta Airlines. I travel all the time.

And I can't tell you how concerned I've been over the safety of everybody on board the planes. Yeah.

And there have been several instances, I was telling our team, at least three or four times that I know of, that I've been on a flight where we've had to either abort takeoff or abort a landing. because of some screw-up in an air traffic control tower.

Okay. I remember Just vividly, like it happened yesterday, we were coming in for a landing at LaGuardia. If you've been to LaGuardia, you know it is a very short runway. And we were coming in for a landing, and we were coming in at a curve around Rikers Island, which is just right off the bay from LaGuardia. And we were within, I would say, 150 feet of landing when all of a sudden the plane shot up like a rocket.

There was another plane. Another plane was literally on the runway. And I mean you're you You know, you pray, you ask God to protect you, keep you safe. But the reality is That as President Trump announced today at this press conference, That it appears that we could be dealing with a tragedy that was caused by Barack Obama and Joe Biden's diversity hires. And I say that because going all the way back to the Obama administration, there was an effort to only hire people based on skin color and not qualifications.

You say, Todd, how do you know that?

Well, Adam Laxalt, who was the former attorney general of the state of Nevada. Filed a class action lawsuit representing about a thousand men and women, air traffic controllers. They went through and passed their test, and they passed the test. And in the past, if you passed the air traffic controller test, it was 100% job guarantee. You got a job.

But more than a thousand people. took the test, they passed the test. But they were denied jobs because they are white. That is the crux of the federal lawsuit, a class action lawsuit against the FAA that was filed officially last year. Those people were denied their jobs.

Well-qualified people were denied their jobs. Because of their skin color, because they're white.

Now, the Obama administration set all this into motion. And and folks, I'm telling you, they put every they're putting They're putting lives in danger. Yeah.

The Obama administration and their policies said, according to the lawsuit, that the class of applicants was too white.

So what did they do? They not only denied the applicants jobs, they got rid of the test. This was the test that determines who gets to sit in that tower to make sure the planes don't crash into each other. And over the past year, especially at Reagan National, there have been grave concerns about near misses. Just a couple of months ago, there was a big story about two American airlines nearly colliding.

At Reagan National.

Now in 2012 The FAA stopped what they called race-blind hiring rules. And here's how that worked: they didn't need to know your skin color. They just want to make sure that you're a competent human being, that you're not anxiety-riddled, that you can handle stress, and that you can make sure that plane A doesn't collide into plane B. That was pretty much the job of the air traffic controllers. But instead, during the Obama years, they got rid of that and they implemented something called, this is the actual title of it.

Biographical assessment.

So, what they did was they went in, and the whole point of this was to hire more minorities.

Now, let me stop here and say this: I don't care what skin color you are, I just want to make sure that you've got eyesight. I don't want some blind person sitting up in the tower because they're a diversity hire. I need somebody to be able to see that plane A is on this runway and plane B can't land on that runway because plane A is there. But it gets even worse, ladies and gentlemen, because the Daily Mail Reported last year that the FAA launched a campaign to hire recruits with severe intellectual. Disabilities.

In other words, ladies and gentlemen, there's a possibility that you can have people who are functionally retarded. working in an air traffic control tower. And I just ask you: do you want to put your life and your family's lives in the hands of people with severe intellectual disabilities? No offense to the disability crowd, but again, you want the most qualified person in the air traffic control tower. Not only that, the Daily Mail reports the FAA was also actively recruiting people to work for them with psychiatric problems and physical issues.

Diversity Equity. And inclusion. Uh Now talk about irony of ironies. Elon Musk. When this story came out last year from the Daily Mail, Elon Musk said, and I'm going to read the tweet to you.

That it he said that the DEI policies are crazy. And he said, it's going to take an airplane crashing and killing people for the FAA to change. Right now, ladies and gentlemen, that death toll. Is it sixty-four? And I want you to think about something.

I want you to just think about this. I've flown that. I've flown into that airport hundreds of times, hundreds of times. And every time, even in good days, in good conditions, it'll scare the living daylights out of you because there's a lot of restricted airspace. There's only a certain path for those planes to come in, and it is a very tight turn to land, and it is a very fast landing.

That's Reagan National.

Okay. Those people On that plane last night from Wichita, Kansas to Washington, DC, were about fifteen seconds from landing. Yeah.

Can you imagine fifteen seconds you think you're about to touch down and the next thing you know? You're dead. Children died last night. in probably the most horrifying way. And we're going to have to get to the bottom of that.

And I'm telling you right now. I don't think it's safe for anybody to fly. I really don't. There have been too many near-misses. And again, I call them grace of God moments.

But there's too much going on right now, ladies and gentlemen, and I we have got to get a handle on this. And that's why President Trump is so enraged. We've got so much to talk about here. We're going to be taking your calls as well. Do you believe that diversity, equity and inclusion policies led to the disaster last night.

901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show. Folks, I got to tell you, eggs, they're still a little pricey out there, and it's going to take some time for those to come down. And we explained that earlier this week on the show.

The reality is, it's a mess. The economy is a mess, and it's going to take some time for Trump to work all this out. And then, again, the trickle down, the egg prices will come down. What I'm saying is that. You need to start taking actions now to protect your savings, to protect your retirement fund.

And if it's all in a 401k, you got big problems. Your retirement plan is in jeopardy. That's just the cold, hard facts.

So, the good news is you can do something about it. And that's why my friends at Priority Gold are big, big fans of the Todd Starns program. This is a long bit of what the President had to say just a few moments ago. Cut number 18, please. Have more to say about that. I do want to point out that various articles that appeared. prior to my entering office.

And here's one. The FAA's diversity push includes focus on hiring people with severe intellectual and psychiatric disabilities. That is amazing. And then it says FAA. says people with severe disabilities are most underrepresented segment of the workforce and they want them in and they want them They can be air traffic controllers.

I don't think so. This was uh In January 14th, so that was a week before I entered office, they put a big push to put diversity. into the FAA's program. And then another article the Federal Aviation Administration. This was before I Got the office.

recently second term The FAA is actively recruiting workers who suffer severe. intellectual disabilities. Psychiatric problems and other mental and physical conditions under a diversity and inclusion hiring initiative spelled out. on the agency's website. Can you imagine?

These are people That are I mean actually their lives are shortened because of the stress that they have. Uh brilliant people. have to be in those positions. And their lives are actually shortened, very substantially shortened because of the stress. where you have many, many planes coming into one target.

And uh You need a very special talent and a very special genius to be able to do it. Targeted disabilities are those disabilities that the federal government, as a matter of policy, has identified for special emphasis in recruitment and hiring. The FAA's website states. They include. Hearing, vision, missing extremities, partial paralysis, complete paralysis, epilepsy, severe intellectual disability, psychiatric disability, and dwarfism all qualify.

for the position of A controller of airplanes pouring into our country, pouring into a little spot, a little dot on the map, a little runway. The initiative is part of the FAS Diversity and Inclusion Hiring Plan. Think of that. The initiative is part of. the FAA's diversity and inclusion hiring plan, which says diversity is Integral to achieving FAA's mission of ensuring safe and efficient travel?

I don't think so. I don't think so. I think it's just the opposite. The FAA website. shows that the agency's guidance on diversity hiring were last updated on March 23rd of 22.

They wanted to make it even more so. And then I came in. And I assume maybe this is the reason the FAA. which is overseen by Secretary Pete Buticeg. A real winner.

That guy's a real winner. Do you know how badly everything's run since he's run this Department of Transportation? He's a disaster. He was a disaster as a mayor. He read his City into the ground and he's a disaster now.

He's just got a good line of The Department of Transportation. Is government agency charged with regulating civil aviation?

Well, he runs it. 45,000 people, and he's run it right into the ground with his diversity. And he has. Folks, I I'm just astounded by this. And you have to wonder how many more people are going to have to die before we get a handle on this.

Do you understand what Barack Hussein, Obama, and Joe Biden have done to this country? What people like the Pete Buddha judges of the world, and what's more dangerous about the Biden administration, it really wasn't Joe Biden. It was a president, a presidency run by committee. And the committee were radical progressives to the left, by the way, of Alexandria, Ocasio-Cortez, and Elon Omar. These are very, very bad people.

And as the President said, what happened yesterday should not have happened. Trump also called out the Biden administration. They literally lowered the standards. For DEI, cut number seventeen, please. And then when I left office and Biden took over, he changed them back to lower.

than ever before. I put safety first. Obama, Biden, and the Democrats put policy first. Then they put uh politics at a level that nobody's Ever seen because this was the lowest level. Their policy was horrible.

and their politics was even worse.

So, as you know, last week, long before the crash, I signed an executive order restoring our. Higher standards for air traffic controllers and other important jobs throughout the country.

So it was very interesting. About a week ago, Almost Upon entering office. I signed something last week. That was an executive order very powerful on restoring the highest standards of air traffic controller.

So here's what's really frightening about all of this, ladies and gentlemen. According to all of the policies that Barack Hussein Obama and Joe Biden put into place, you could very well, at this hour, somewhere across America, It doesn't matter. It could be Jackson, Tennessee. It could be Memphis International Airport. It could be the airport in Portland, Oregon.

You could literally have. A blind psycho midget. Determining where your flights are going to go. That's how insane all of this is. It's bonkers crazy.

But again, it's all about diversity. We've got to have diversity. And if we don't have diversity, we don't have a strong country.

Now you do understand why people are freaking out of the military right now. Because it's very hard to fight wars when you've got the United States Marines wearing red high-heel shoes. And that's why we've got Peepunige in place.

So, we're going to get to all the bottom of this. We're going to be taking your calls on it. Again, a lot of stuff to talk about. Our good friend, former Brigadier General John Tykert is going to be here in just a few moments. Also, we're going to be talking to Caleb Hutchins from WDUN a little bit later on about these illegal alien protests in Georgia.

901-260-5926 is our telephone number. We'll be right back, America. The new heart-pounding military thriller Valiant One has everything you need in a movie. With tensions high between North and South Korea, a U.S. military chopper crashes deep in North Korean territory.

Ah. All right, they're now saying the deaths are 67, and a good number of those happen to be young. And by young, I mean teenage figure skaters, their parents and coaches coming back from Wichita, also a number of people in the Wichita community. They have yet to release the names of those individuals, a Russian skating couple as well, among those confirmed dead on last night's flight. I want to go to the Patriot Mobile newsmaker line, bring into the conversation our friend, retired Brigadier General John Tycert.

And, General, I have to imagine you know that airspace very well as you were the base commander at Joint Base Andrews. Todd, I flew helicopters in that exact airspace. I do want your listeners immediately to know that the average helicopter pilot Doesn't fly in the DC area, there are special training and qualifications required to be there. Clearly there was a breakdown last night. And I look forward to seeing the results of the Investigation Board as they study out what happened.

From what we've been able to ascertain, and I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this. Would it be normal for they said it was some sort of a training mission. Would it be normal to do a training mission like that near Reagan National? Todd, that airspace is so congested but so important. that the three primary missions that helicopters do in the national capital region are Our distinguished visitor transport.

protection of Washington DC from the air and national emergency response. And in order to accomplish those missions, you need to train in those missions in the airspace And the reason this helicopter was flying that training mission was to prepare to be fully qualified to do at least one, if not all, of those important missions for our nation. I'm curious. I know you've seen have you seen the video of the collision? I did.

I saw that immediately from the vantage point of the Kennedy Center. And you just see that clearly there was a tragic deconfliction breakdown. And I am interested to see what the results are of the investigation, but likely. confusion and communication are going to be key root causes here.

So I want to go back because there had been some question about and we don't know who the individuals were on the on the Blackhawk. We understand what three military officers. They were telling us no senior military officers, but the call sign was PAT25. What does that normally mean? There are different call signs depending on the helicopter type and the mission type.

And so that could either be a real world mission carrying one of those distinguished visitors. Or a training mission that's using that same type of aircraft in the same type of route that isn't carrying one of those distinguished visitors, and we just don't know. But I heard Secretary Hegset say that it was an officer pilot, a warrant officer, and an enlisted crew member, and that made up the composition of the three crew members on that helicopter. I also heard the Secretary say they were using night vision goggles. Would that be a part of the training mission?

It would, absolutely. And they do magnify your ability to have situational awareness at night. The challenge with night vision goggles is that when you are in a highly illuminated area like around Washington DC, especially on a clear night like last night, that you tend to get a bit of tunnel vision looking through NVGs, and that might have been part of the reason why they didn't see the entirety of the picture at the moment of collision. And what about as far as air traffic control? Are they all on the same frequencies, a commercial jetliner and the the the military Blackhawk?

Would air traffic control be able to talk to them on the same radio frequencies or are there different ones they have to use? Todd, they would be on the same frequency. And I suspect that both the military and the Department of Transportation Investigation Board. Are first going to make sure they secure the communication tapes from last night. And then the black boxes or flight data recorders that they'll recover as well will have internal communication inside the cockpit.

And hearing what was said over the radios and what was being discussed in the cockpit can really help us to understand what those crews were thinking and if there was confusion or communication breakdown. I mean, it looked, at least from the Kennedy Center video, it looked like that the helicopter just I mean, they hit that plane going full speed. It did look that way, and President Trump made the comment that common sense would suggest that there was a clear, horrific breakdown in Visualization or deconfliction, and the helicopter crew probably should have been able to see a very illuminated. slow-moving aircraft on short finals for Reagan National. Why they didn't, or what the air traffic controllers could have done to provide deconfliction, we'll find out soon, but it certainly seemed like.

It was a direct collision that should have been seen ahead of time to avoid, but tragically wasn't.

Now, there had been a report that the, and I'm just, you can help us out here, that the military aircraft was not broadcasting ADSB. What does that mean? There are various electronic emissions That airliners can transmit and receive, and helicopters can too, that can help with deconfliction. There are ways that the electronic signals will see an impending collision and then either direct maneuvers to avoid it or actually take control automatically to avoid that collision. And if this helicopter was not transmitting in that way, then it means that it wouldn't have been part of this handshake electronic agreement that could provide automatic deconstruction.

See, so basically, if it's a collision warning system, is that a good layman's available? That's exactly reasonable. And part of the reason why they might not be transmitting is because it is such congested airspace. that you could get false fly ups or warnings And so sometimes air crew will turn that off to actually enhance safety because those false flyups or warnings can actually create hazardous situations in their own right. Wow, we have our good friend, Brigadier General John Tycert, retired.

He was base commander at Edwards and Joint Base Andrews. General, President Trump just a few moments ago seemed to be setting the stage for blaming a lot of this on diversity hires, that there may have been some issues in the air traffic control tower. And I'm curious, during your time there, was that an issue as far as not having enough air traffic controllers? I think at one point we were down over a thousand. Todd, as President Trump said, The job of an air traffic controller is extremely difficult.

And then the national capital region in the DC area. It's even more so. Because of the peculiarities of the prohibited airspace around DC, the congested nature of the airspace with an international airport and military requirement in the area, I never saw directly. shortcomings in air traffic control either because of skill level or manning. But what I did hear President Trump say was two things.

Number one, that it seemed obvious That there should have been the confliction that would have been evident to the air crew, but failed. And number two, that it's important to reassure the American public That we are hiring and training the highest quality air traffic controllers. based on merit and nothing else. And I think those words about DEI were focused on assuring the American public that our air transport system is or will be safe. With the right policies that focused on merit-based controllers.

Yeah, that's I mean, as someone who travel travels a lot and flies a lot, that's I mean it's it's really interesting how big of a concern that is. You know, you're sitting on the plane and you're hoping that the people flying that plane and the people that are running the towers are competent individuals that were hired on their their merit and not on their, you know, on anything else. You do. And life and death hinges on the skill level of those air crew members and those controllers. And sadly, we saw a tragic breakdown last night.

Oh, my goodness. All right.

So what happens now with the investigation?

Well, the FCC, will they handle the I'm sorry, the FAA, will they handle the investigation of the military as well? Will there be two separate investigations going down? Todd, I suspect there's going to be two different investigations. The National Transportation Safety Board underneath the Department of Transportation will stand up a body to investigate, and the United States Army will stand up a body to investigate The first thing they will do is secure perishable evidence. Things that could disappear if you don't take care of them and quarantine them quickly.

And then they'll figure out what happened, but more importantly, then they will figure out why it happened, what are the root causes, so that we can create policies and procedures to make sure something like this does not happen again. It reminds me, I know you and I are about the same age. It reminds me of the 82 crash into the 14th Street Bridge. You had that Air Florida flight. And there were fortunately, they had a few people that were able to survive, but just the water conditions, and that was the big concern.

When you're in that water at that temperature for more than, what, 10, 15 minutes, it's not likely you're going to be able to survive. That's true. The conditions were so harsh last night Not only for the victims, but then for the search and rescue crews that scrambled bravely and courageously and skillfully to the scene to try to save people. And it was so sad to hear when the search and rescue mission transitioned into a recovery mission earlier this morning. Yeah.

All right.

Well, General, we really appreciate that. Appreciate you joining us real quick. Your take on the new Pentagon under the leadership of Pete Hagseth. What are you hearing from your friends there in the military? Todd, there is a positive buzz within military circles that we are getting back to a constitutionally grounded Merit-based Mission focused.

Military and Department of Defense. And I think as we get rid of all of these distractions and focus on unity and common purpose. that you will see retention skyrocket. and recruiting Skyrocket as well, because we're getting back to the mission and disregarding all of the garbage that we've focused on for the last four years.

Well, well said. All right, General, we're going to let you get back to it. I know you're a busy guy today. We certainly appreciate your expertise here. Todd, thanks for having me on, and thanks for all that you do for our country.

All right, there you go, folks. Retired Brigadier General John Tykert. And I feel like, Ben, we just went to school and we learned a lot of stuff that we did not know. Because there is so much speculation happening. Everybody has a theory.

And I'm sure for someone like the general or. All of these other aviation experts is probably pretty frustrating to see these different things being floated around. And I think we need to ask questions, but to have an expert on, like the general just clears things up. I learned a lot. I think Trump and Duffy know more than they're willing to.

I mean, they've got the evidence to back up what they're talking about here. And I know Budajedge is pretty fired up. He just posted a statement. What did he have to say about all this? Referring to the president calling his leadership, well, we can't say what the president said on air.

Bull fertilizer. That's right. Pete Buttajedge now saying in a statement, despicable. As families grieve, Trump should be leading, not lying. We put safety first, drove down close calls, grew air traffic control, and had zero commercial airline crash fatalities out of millions of flights on our watch.

President Trump, he goes on to say in this statement, now oversees the military and the FAA. One of his first acts was to fire and suspend some of the key personnel who helped pardon to keep our sky safe. That's a lie. He's literally, Buddha Judge is literally lying about that. My apologies, finisher.

He goes on to say, time for the president to show actual leadership and explain what he will do to prevent this from happening again.

So, first of all, the freeze that went into effect, Teter, has not even been implemented.

So, nobody's been fired. Nobody lost their jobs. These are the people that have been on the job. The issue, though, is, and Buttigieg is lying on multiple levels. There was a report last year that came out: there are still a thousand air traffic controllers shy of their full complement, which is one of the reasons why there were so many delays, flight delays, during the Biden years.

And that was a very well-covered story. Not only that, there were grave concerns about the near misses that were happening.

So. I mean, upwards of 1,000 to 3,000 shortages within some of these really important roles in keeping our errors and that was all under his watch. It's going to get ugly. It's a blame game now.

Well, it is, and we're going to have to get to the bottom of it. And I'm not sure. I heard President Trumetton say that it's a air travel is safe. I don't think it is. And when you have incidents like this, It just reinforces the notion that there, but for the grace of God, go any of us.

I think if everybody's being honest, if you've traveled in the last four years, be honest, and maybe we'd love to hear from them. Have you not thought about your safety in a heightened way under the last four years? I know I have. How many times have we got on your show, Todd? JFK, LaGuardia, some of these big airports, close call after close call.

And unfortunately, last night it was beyond that. I will say this. I have absolutely, and hear me on this, I have nothing against any of the blind, lesbian, midget psychopaths out there. There's a place for everybody in the world. I just don't think that that place is an air traffic control tower.

I think you have to have 20-20 vision. Like, Todd, I hate to say it, but you would fall short of the standard. And you got to be able to, you know, reach look over the desk. I'm just saying. Yeah, I mean, there are a lot of similarities.

Common sense. Yeah, there's a lot of similarities to what we saw in Pacific Palisades. Get a job as a Disney character in the Snow White, but I'm just saying that I'm not sure an air traffic control tower is the place for a lesbian blind midget to be. It's one of the hardest jobs there is. It's incredible.

My understanding is just incredibly, insanely stressful. And the amount of attention to detail, it's really one of those. I mean, I respect those air traffic controllers. My grandfather, that's why the Sternings family moved to Memphis, Tennessee, in the first place. My grandfather ran the tower at Memphis International Airport.

And Ben, he had to retire in his 50s because he had had two or three heart attacks. And thank God, because we don't want someone dropping over dead with a heart attack while planes are trying to land. But they had standards back in the day. Yeah.

They had standards, and they don't have those anymore. All right, got to take a quick break here, folks. 901-260-5926. I am sorry, I said midget. I meant little person.

That's right. I love this American ride. Well, hello, everybody. Welcome to hour two of the big show. Happy to have you with us today.

So there's a man, Trump just lit a match, and there has been an explosion in Washington, D.C. The Democrats are raging now, and they're saying that President Trump is inappropriate, the President is insensitive, and the President is spewing off a conspiracy theory. The Democrats now say that if you believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion. Is a problem, then you are a racist.

Now, we're going to play some audio here momentarily that I think is going to help you understand what's really going on here in the country. Again, welcome to the Tom Starns Radio Program, hour two of the big show. Yeah.

But President Trump just mere moments ago came out and laid it all out. And he called out Pete Booty Juice and called him you know, it's not even we can't even repeat what the President said, but it's not even Grade A fertilizer that he's calling Pete Booty Juice. It's like pig poop, this guy.

So, just a few moments ago, someone sent me this audio, and this is from a this is from the former administrator at the FAA, who's out there saying that really, if we're going to have a strong federal aviation administration, then what we have to do is that we got to hire people based on skin color and gender identity. Take a listen for yourself. Hi, I'm Brad Mims, Deputy Administrator at the Federal Aviation Administration. Hi, Brad. We are looking for the best and brightest to join us as air traffic controllers.

We need a diverse group of air traffic controllers to bring distinct perspectives to handle the ever-changing aerospace landscape. I'm calling on students and alumni from HBCUs, Hispanic serving institutions, and tribal colleges to apply now to become air traffic controllers. I don't want anyone interested to miss out on this amazing career opportunity. Make sure you complete your full application during our application window. The short application window ends on May 8th.

We need a diverse next-generation air traffic workforce with people from all backgrounds.

So apply now. There you have it, ladies and gentlemen. I suspect Bucky's is going to get an uptick in business because people are not going to be going to the airports for a long time after this. It's exposing what Trump is doing is he is exposing how bad things are in the government right now.

So there's literally on the FAA's website, there were job openings specifically for people with disabilities, including psychiatric and intellectual delays. As the libs of TikTok just wrote, doesn't it make you feel safe knowing your air traffic controller can have an intellectual disability or have a seizure while directing your flight? I mean, no offense. But if you're an air traffic controller and you reverse your numbers, that could be problematic. I'm just saying.

Ben Dieter, are you saying I'm insensitive here? I'm just saying it's problematic. Diversity matters, Todd, per the FAA. I don't even want to call out different, you know, disorders or mental. Ailments with people, but there are some things that when you read a word, for example, you read it backwards.

Okay, that's just the reality. Don't want that person reading the numbers backwards, to your point.

So you're saying it would not be good to have a blind, gender, queer, dyslexic midget working at the air traffic control tower.

Well, I would have said it differently, but yes, you were in my mind and said it over the air nation across the coast. That's what we do here. We can't get in trouble.

So we protect.

So we're just saying what's on everybody else's mind, and no offense to the blind, gender, queer, dyslexic midgets out there. We've got nothing against you, folk. But it would be like me. You know what me as a firefighter because I can't run up 30 flights of stairs and haul you out of a burning building. Right?

I don't take that personally. I get it. That's why I'm trying to lose a few pounds in the event somebody has to carry me out of a burning building. I'm just saying, it's all about self-preservation. Yeah.

So there you have it. And if and you thought the biggest problem on American jetliners was when they refused to serve the peanuts because somebody had a peanut allergy. Mm-hmm. By the way, you know back in the day I'm getting sidetracked here.

Somebody pointed this out. Back when we were growing up, nobody had peanut allergies except for maybe one kid in the entire school. Right? And then they just made the kid deal with it. You know, what's a little bit of what's hives?

They'll go away, kid. Just set up and eat your jam sandwich. I mean, they'll cancel class for an entire week over a peanut allergy. It's true. Yeah.

It's true. All that to say, RFK Jr. You know, the more I hear him talk, and the fact that Caroline Kennedy accused him of putting chickens at. Here's the thing. And the ninja.

So now the Democrats are concerned about the cats and the dogs.

So now we're concerned about that. Yeah.

I just want to make sure I'm on the right path. page here. You know, again, it may be insensitive, but man, are people Chucky Schumer's up? He's in a tizzy right now. Oh, he just took to the Senate floor and had an actual meltdown because he just listened to the president.

Let's take a listen. Mr. President, this morning Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by the horrible, heartbreaking incident. at Reagan Washington National Airport last night. I've been briefed on the horrific incident at DCA and have continued to monitor the situation.

My heart goes out to everyone who was impacted by this incident. I'm praying for the victims, their families, and our brave first responders as we monitor the situation. But I have to tell you. I just watched President Trump's news conference. Listen, it's one thing.

For internet pundits to spew off conspiracies. It's another for the President of the United States. Throw out idle speculation. As bodies are still being recovered. and families are still notified.

It just turns your stomach. All right, I'm going to read to you, Ben Dieter, from the this is from Fox News. Uh the FAA The story here, the headline. FAA's diversity push includes focus on hiring people with severe intellectual and psychiatric disabilities. Good God Almighty.

It's It's like putting Dexter in the control tower. I'm like. Here we go. This is the actual quote from the agency's website. I have to imagine it's been removed since inauguration day.

Targeted because people are saying, Todd, I've already got a text message. Yeah.

What would Jesus do about the Midget people?

Well, I know he loves everybody. I'm just saying, and I love the midget people. I love everybody. Jesus loves Zacchaeus, the little man. I'm a big fan of the Lord of the Rings.

Are those the Hobbit people? Is that the one with the Hobbit people? I get those all mixed up. It's kind of like Star Wars and Star Trek. You wouldn't want Golem in the air traffic control section.

Is that the one of the rings?

Sorry. What's the one where they go through the door, the bedroom door, or the one of the door? I think that's Snow White's door. I don't know. I'm getting all confused.

Yeah.

Um here's the official statement from the FAA's website.

So b again, I'm not making this up, people. That's the whole point. This is the quote from your government. Targeted disabilities are those disabilities the federal government, as a matter of policy, has identified for special emphasis. In recruiting and hiring.

That would include hearing. Vision. Missing extremities. Partial paralysis, complete paralysis.

So Remember when Christopher Reeve Superman was alive and he was paralyzed from the neck down? He would be eligible for a job at an air traffic control tower. And as much as I love Superman, I don't know if that's the best job for him. Maybe it is. Maybe I'm the one who's maybe I'm not taller.

Yeah.

Oh, it goes on. It also includes people with epilepsy, severe intellectual disability, psychiatric disabilities, and dwarfism.

Well, the dwarfism, come on. They make stools for that.

Well, I guess they could put them they could put them on the counter so they could well you need a bigger pillow. Maybe the well, the old phone books we used to. What I'm saying is that there's Yeah, I'm a bigot, I guess. Maybe that's the problem. Maybe that's it.

Well, you know, they started with the flight. And here's the thing: they lowered the standards across the board. It wasn't just the FAA. All of the airline industries, remember, after 2020, they started hiring the morbidly obese flight attendants. We started seeing the stewards that were barely able to walk down.

the rows, you saw I mean, they had every color of the alphabet rainbow suit people as flight attendants. We after twenty twenty, I really think we saw such wide sweeping changes in aviation. And is it any wonder that now we're here? Tragically. Speaking of that, Manda's asked a question about the whole rainbow thing.

Have you noticed, and maybe it's just me, but the gay flight attendants are not very nice. It's like they've got like a chip on their shoulder or something. I don't know. Maybe that's just me. It sounds very, very, very like you have a personal story with one of them that were rude.

I just don't like that. Four or five of them. It's like, that's why I'm asking. I'm like, am I. Yeah.

I mean, I do kind of look like a Republican, so maybe that was it. Maybe I give off the Republican vibe. Maybe that's it.

But I They never give me the extra pretzels. No, I'm just saying. Yeah.

So, anyway, all that to say, ladies and gentlemen, it's a mess. And President Trump knows it's a mess, and he's calling him out on it, which is what I love.

So, CNN's Caitlin Collins, she's the chick with the eyebrows. I want you to listen to COD24, Police. Does not even yet know the names of the 67 people who were killed, and you are blaming Democrats and DEI policies and air traffic control, and seemingly the member of the U.S. military who was flying that Black Hawk helicopter, don't you think you're getting ahead of the investigation right now? No, I don't think so at all.

I don't think with the names of the people, you mean the names of the people that are on the plane, you think that's going to make a difference? Does it come for their families? They are a group of people that have lost their lives. If you want a list of the names, we can give you that. We'll be giving you that very soon.

We're in coordination with American Airlines. We're in coordination very strongly, obviously, with the military. But I think that's not a very smart question. I'm surprised coming from you. Wow, put her in her place.

Yeah.

He's got to. Little Jimmy Acosta's gone now. Is she going to be Jimmy Acosta in a skirt? Could be. With bushy eyebrows.

Yeah.

Yeah.

They got to do something about that. It's off-putting. It's a distraction.

So, anyway, we'll be taking our calls on this, ladies and gentlemen. Do you have a problem with the fact that diversity hires now populate some very important parts of our government that impact your safety? 901-260-5926 is our number. That's 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show.

It is Ryan here, and I have a question for you. What do you do when you win? Like, are you a fist pumper, a woohooer, a hand clapper, a high-fiver? So, we're watching the Cash Patel and Tulsi Gambard hearings. I look there's it it's all it's all predetermined.

So, the question now is whether all the Republicans are going to get on board and support President Trump's nominees. And Cash Patel is a necessary part of the process. He's got to go in there and he's going to have to clean up all the rot and corruption within the FBI. Here's Cash Patel, cut number 11. That due process must be provided without bias to all Americans.

And if we cannot provide due process to the worst, then there can be no due process for anyone. And our Constitutional Republic fails.

So look, Patel's holding his own here, and he's really taking the Democrats to task. I will say this, the male senators on the Democrat side of the aisle, the way they are treating Tulsi Gabbard right now, it's absolutely appalling. Just appalling.

So we will keep you updated on that. Senator Michael Bennett from the Democrat from Colorado, among the worst. And the way it works is they ask a question, and before you can answer, they're interrupting you, and then they ask another question, you get interrupted again, and then they accuse the nominee of evading the questions. That's like the MO here with the Democrats. And this is it's just simply unacceptable.

Now, here is Tulsi Gabbard, cut number 12, please. Here are just a few other examples. The American people elected Donald Trump as their President not once but twice. And yet the FBI and intelligence agencies were politicized by his opponents to undermine his presidency and falsely portray him as a puppet of Putin. Title I of FISA was used illegally to obtain a warrant to spy on Trump campaign adviser Carter Page using a Clinton campaign funded false dossier as their so called evidence.

Biden campaign adviser Tony Blinken was the impetus for the fifty one former senior intelligence officials' letter dismissing Hunter Biden's laptop as disinformation specifically to help Biden win the election. Former DNI James Clapper lied to this committee in 2013, denying the existence of programs that facilitated the mass collection of millions of Americans' phone and Internet records. yet was never held accountable. Under John Brennan's leadership, the CIA abused its power to spy on Congress, to dodge oversight. lied about doing it until he was caught.

and yet has never been held responsible. Under Biden, the FBI abused its power for political reasons to try to surveil Catholics who attend traditional Latin Mass, labeling them as quote unquote radical traditionalist Catholics. Personally, just twenty-four hours after I criticized Kamala Harris and her nomination, I was placed on a secret domestic terror watch list called Quiet Skies. Sadly, there are more examples. The bottom line is this, this must end.

And she's absolutely right. And the the fact of the matter is That The Justice Department had been weaponized to take out Catholics. Evangelical Christians. And that's just simply unacceptable. And we can never allow that to happen again.

When Cash Batelle goes in to the FBI, We're going to have to make sure that they never again set foot into a Catholic church and try to convince priests to rat out their parishioners. That's those days are over. The idea that we're going to be targeting And sending grandmothers to federal prison for praying outside of an abortion clinic? Come on, people. That's what the Bidens were doing.

These are very bad people we're dealing with here. Very bad people.

So, folks, again, I want to encourage you to call your senators and tell them to get on board and approve President Trump's nominees.

Now, we talked a lot about RFK Jr. yesterday. I thought RFK Jr. handled himself quite well. And I'm curious to hear your thoughts on that.

Do you have any concerns about Tulsi Gabbard or Cash Patel or RFK Jr.? Give us a call, 901-260-5926. Again, that's 901-260-5926.

Now, folks, I want to direct your attention over to ToddSterns.com and our store. Many of you have said, all right, what is the next four years going to look like?

Well, that's why I want you to read my new book, Twilight's Last Gleaming, Can America Be Saved? I sat down with President Trump for a very long interview at Mar-a-Lago and ended up writing this book about the president's vision for the future of America. And that's why I want you to pick. It's a fun read. And especially if you have a teenager, they're really going to love this book as well.

You can get a copy. Copy right now by going to ToddSterns.com and click on the store, and you'll be able to order that. We also have lots of other great stuff for you to check out as well. All right, hang tight, everybody. Got to take a break? We'll be right back. Downy, rinse, and refresh. Break up with stinky clothes.

Rinse it up. Every now and then I get a little bit tired of these things that just won't ever come out. Every Now and then I run sooner. One wash and drink delivers. One wash, it smells so clean.

Downy, rinse, and refresh, it's a dream. Downy, rinse, and refresh. Fights odor in just one wash. Guaranteed. The Tom Stearns Radio Show, everybody.

Good to have you with us. Again, our telephone number is 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. So I want to go to the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line, bring in from Wichita Congressman Ron Estes, the Republican Congressman representing that area in Congress. And we appreciate you coming on the program, Congressman.

How is your city doing right now? No, I appreciate the opportunity for you letting me talk. I wish it were under different circumstances that We obviously, there's a lot of shock in the community as people are focusing on just this horrific tragedy and what's going on there. Obviously, most people's concerns are about the victims and their families and loved ones and just the issues surrounding that. Uh obviously we had So You know, a great event going on over the last few last week with the US World Figure Skating Championship.

Here in the city, and it sounds like from some of the social media folks that some of those. uh performers and their coaches We're on the plane. We haven't seen official confirmation of that yet. Um But it it's a it's a small community. I mean, I I call us a big town as opposed to a city.

And we're rallying around each other. I mean, already folks are reaching out to see what they can do to help out with that. And we're just so thankful for all the first responders who spent horrible last twenty hours or so in fringing waters and temperatures trying to find survivors and to help identify what happened here. Congressman, have you been able to determine how many people from the Wichita area were on that flight? You mentioned the figure skaters.

That information has been confirmed that at least 14 or so people on board were either figure skaters or their coaches. What about folks in the Wichita area? We don't have that information confirmed yet. Obviously, there's There's a lot of sensitivity, a lot of concern around the notification of of family and contacts and others. And that's an effort that's primarily being led now by American and PSA Airlines going through that process.

And I do expect that later today or At the latest, first thing tomorrow, we may hear more about who all the individuals were. Um we uh Obviously, this is a flight that's been in operation for a little over a year now, and it's a flight that I've flown several times. back and forth to Washington. And so there's a lot of folks from the community and a lot of folks from the DC area that coming back and forth to here.

So we know there's going to be a lot of folks that are You know, have connections to the community. Congressman, we just heard from President Trump. He held a pretty lengthy press conference and he He strongly suggested that diversity, equity and inclusion hires, especially within the Federal Aviation Administration, may have played a role here. Do you agree with the President's concerns? You know, I think, like, the president, I'm saddened with the loss of life.

And we have a longstanding history, United States, of having the safest skies of any country in the world. And we want to continue that. Obviously, the investigation is still going on. I've had conversations with the National Transportation Safety Board, and they're still going through the gathering our data on what actually has happened and what the cause was. And we know that's there are traffic ways, and it looks like from the flight patterns that the plane and the helicopter were in path in pathways that are appropriate.

But what we don't know is why they were at the same altitude at the same spot at the same time. And that's Those are the issues we've got to get to the answer for. In the course of the investigation, should we be looking at those diversity hires within the FAA? Should that be a part of the investigation?

Well, I think one of the things we want to make sure is that we keep our safe skies and look at that process. A lot of the focus right now, at least in the immediate short term, is let's focus on the victims and their families and loved ones. And let's get through that. And I do know the investigation typically takes a long time for a situation like this. The NTSB said that they hadn't recovered the black boxes yet.

They're focusing on material that might be perishable, and that that will tell us a whole lot when they do get the black boxes because those are sturdy and reliable, and they should. Be able to provide some of those answers about what happened. Have you been in touch with the White House? I have last night and this morning in contact with folks that are in the situation room and focusing on on uh what's happening and how how they're gathering information, how they're tracking what's going on. And have they been able to rule out whether or not this was intentional or was this just an accident?

Um I haven't heard That it's ruled out of anything. I mean, I think part of it's still gathering information. Yeah.

We don't want to speculate until we kind of get enough information to know what's there. All right.

Well, Congressman, we appreciate your time today, and certainly you've got the entire nation praying for the good people of Wichita, Kansas. Thank you again, Congressman. All right, thank you. All right.

Again, that's Congressman Ron Estes. He represents that part of Kansas, Wichita specifically. And as you heard the Congressman say, he takes that flight. It's one of the few nonstop flights out of Wichita. And he takes that flight quite a bit and has done so since they launched that flight about a year or so ago.

All right.

Our telephone number, 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show. Welcome back, everybody. Good to have you with us coming up. In the next hour, excited about this conversation, Caleb Hutchins from WDUN.

Apparently, you folks in Gainesville, Georgia, have been overrun by illegals, and we're going to be talking to Caleb Hutchins about that. These protests all over America. And what's really fascinating about these protests, they're all illegals and they're activists. Nobody's flying the American flag. They're flying flags from other countries.

And you know what that tells me, ladies and gentlemen? That tells me that we have been invaded. Those flags and the people hauling around those flags are representing an invading army of people. That's. That's what I think is really going on here.

All right, let's go to the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line. Welcome our good friend, Dr. Peter McCullough from the Wellness Company. Dr. McCullough, good to have you with us today.

Great to be back on. All right.

RFK Jr., I'm curious to hear your thoughts on RFK and the hearings. I want to play some audio here. This is RFK vowing that he will not outlaw cheeseburgers. But I don't want to take. food away from anybody.

If you like a cheeseburger, a McDonald's cheeseburger, a Diet Coke, which my boss loves, and I you should be able to get them. If you want to eat hostess winkies, you should be able to do that. But you should know what the impacts are on your family and on your health. Dr. McCullough, how do you think the hearing's been going so far for RFK Jr.?

You know, I think he's doing fine. He's doing terribly. Are these very argumentative and self-declaring? the leftist senators. who essentially are Making their comments and their statements for their lobbyists.

It was horrible. Elizabeth Warren Who takes the most money from pharmaceutical companies was trying to get RFK to promise. that he won't do pharmaceutical companies. It was so obvious, the conflict of interest. Here's Bernie Sanders.

He went viral yesterday for this conversation, cut two. They are selling what's called onesies. These are little things. Clothing for babies. One of them is titled Unfaxed, Unafraid.

Next one, and they're sold for $26 a piece, by the way.

Next one is no vax, no problem.

Now, you're coming before this committee and you say you are pro-vaccine. Just want to ask some questions. And yet, your organization is making money. Selling a child's product To parents for 26 bucks, which casts fundamental doubt on the usefulness of vaccines. Can you tell us now that you will, now that you are Pro-vaccine, that you're going to have your organization take these products off the market.

Senator, I have no power over that organization. I'm not part of it. I resigned from the board. Yeah, that was just a few months ago. You founded that.

You certainly have power. You can make that. Are you supportive of this? I've had nothing to do with this. Are you supportive of these onesies?

I'm supportive of vaccines. Are you supportive of this clothing, which is militantly anti-vaccines? All right, enough of that. I want to hear from Dr. McCullough.

Dr. McCullough, it seems as though they're more concerned about clothing than they are the fact that big pharma is causing big problems in America. Yeah.

That's right. You know, and the whole issue of vaccines, vaccines are way, way less than 1% health care. Health care, the big ticket items are Heart disease, cancer, mental illness, obesity, diabetes. These senators are way off base. I mean, he's talking about onesies.

From a health freedom organization. He could be talking about Anything else But America is sick and tired of these senators Who will not focus on the issues that's important to the public? You know, the Senate chamber there was. Pet? With people who are supporting Robert F.

Kennedy. Oh, no doubt about that. And I thought it was interesting. He would later go on. If you thought that was explosive, we don't have this audio, but he really went after Bernie Sanders on the amount of money Bernie was collecting from Big Pharma.

And Bernie, I thought, was going to blow a gasket. But I think you're right to point out that this is all about big money from Big Pharma.

Well, these senators were acting like they got phone calls. from lobbyists. from the pharmaceutical companies and they were given their marching orders. You know, you better take down Robert F. Kennedy.

Well, listen, we had Alex Azar, HHS secretary, installed under Obama. And then we had JVR Bechera under Biden. I don't remember any of these hearings. America could care less about these administrators. America knows now the stakes are high and that RFK can make America healthy again.

And these senators are trying to take them down.

Meanwhile, while all this is going on, a lot of people catching the flu and all sorts of crazy stuff over the winter season. According to the CDC, the number of people going to doctors with illnesses like the flu is surging. Are you seeing that? And why is this year's sick season hitting Americans hard? For two reasons.

One, the multiplex panels for respiratory pathogens.

Now have influenza on it, they have respiratory insitial virus, the whole a variety of other viruses. And so it's just more common to diagnose it. A lot of us get the common cold, and we we don't get any PCR testing. We just get through a cold.

Nowadays, if people go to an urgent care ER, they're getting tested.

So the testing Is inflating the case count. And the second observation is: I do agree there are more people who genuinely are getting sick, and that may be due to mass vaccination. The COVID vaccines may reduce the immunity. To other illnesses. It's important to understand that the influenza vaccine does this.

If someone takes a flu shot, While they get some minor protection against the flu, they have an increased risk of getting the common cold because of the flu shot. Dr. Peter McCullough from the Wellness Company on our Patriot mobile newsmaker line today. He is the chief scientific officer with the Wellness Company. You should go and check out their website.

They have all sorts of great products. TWC.health/slash Starnes. If you utilize my promo code, Starnes, you're going to save 10% on whatever you buy, whether it's their incredible line of supplements or also their emergency medical kits. You know, Dr. McCullough, I want to go back to politics for just a moment.

President Trump announced that he was withdrawing from the World Health Organization. And I'm curious: are Americans better off with the U.S. out of the WHO? For sure. they are better off without the WHO.

And the reason why is the WHO has misled us through the pandemic greatly. on everything from the origins of the virus to suppression of early treatment, to promoting unsafe and ineffective vaccines. And the WHO went beyond that. They actually wanted to take over health care in the United States. to an international health Treaty and pandemic alliance.

And I can tell you, pointing out the WHO is going to save us billions of dollars and give us our freedoms back. All right.

Dr. McGulla, anything else you want to add?

Well, I tell you, these are historic days in Washington. There's three hundred executive orders from Trump. these critical cabinet member positions, I've never seen Americans more engaged in the political process right now, and we know that's a good thing. All right.

Well, Dr. McCullough, we always appreciate you coming on the program. Thank you very much. Thank you. All right.

Dr. Peter McCullough, he is the chief scientific officer with the Wellness Company. And again, that website address, twc.health slash starnes. If you purchase anything, whether it be the supplements or the emergency medical kits, use my promo code STARNS and you will save 10%. All right.

Coming up in the next hour, we're hitting illegal immigration. ICE raids are continuing across the country. And you got to give credit where credit is due. A lot of law-abiding citizens, especially in some of our inner city areas, are actually calling ICE, and they're posting messages on Twitter and Instagram and TikTok, alerting ICE to where the illegal aliens are hiding in their neighborhood. It's really phenomenal.

At the same time, yesterday, someone sent me some video of what was happening in downtown Gainesville, Georgia, and it was a little shocking. I didn't realize that you guys in Georgia had that many illegal aliens living in your town. I mean, Gainesville's a pretty good-sized city, but I just didn't realize you had that many illegals that were lurking about in your community.

So we're going to check in with our friend Caleb Hutchins. He is the news director at WTUN, and he'll give us an update on the latest situation there. Also, real quick, I want to go back to something that Pete Hagseth had to say just a little while ago, talking about the plane crash last night. Cut number 22, please. But I want to echo what the Transportation Secretary and you, Mr.

President, said, because it pertains to the DOD as well. We will have the best and brightest in every position possible. As you said in your inaugural, it is color-blind and merit-based. The best leaders possible, whether it's flying Blackhawks and flying airplanes, leading platoons, or in government. The era of DEI is gone at the Defense Department, and we need the best and brightest, whether it's in our air traffic control.

whether it's in our generals or whether it's throughout government.

So thank you for your leadership and courage on that, sir, and we'll stand by you on. Thank you very much. All right.

Thank you. Again, Secretary Hegseth and Duffy, by the way, Sean Duffy over at Transportation, just barely a week into the job. For Duffy, a day into the job, and they are thrown right into the fire. And so far, so good. I think both of them have done a pretty good job communicating what their agencies are doing in response to the plane crash last night.

All right, folks, got to take a quick break. Hour three of the big show coming up. Again, we're heading to Gainesville, Georgia. We'll be taking your calls as well. 901-260-5926, our telephone number.

We'll be right back. Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's America's conservative blowtorch. That's right. I love this American.

So last night I'm watching all the coverage of the plane crash in Washington, D.C. They were literally pulling bodies out of the icy Potomac River. And the drive-by media already blaming President Trump. As a matter of fact, CNN. Was one of the most egregious, and it's so bad that one of their on-air correspondents actually had to apologize.

But CNN was blaming Peru. President Trump early on for for what happened. It's really shameful, but multiple anchors on cable news were insinuating that the president's decision a day or so ago to freeze the hiring of air traffic controllers led to what happened, which it simply did not. There was a reporter, and Ben Dieter, I know you were covering this on your morning show on KWAM, that a reporter for News Channel 5 actually said the federal buyouts led to what happened yesterday, which is simply untrue. And my understanding from our sources in Nashville, the viewers are just lighting up the television station's phone lines, and many are calling for a boycott.

Columnist Tom Schaller, a professor at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, blamed President Trump for future plane crashes. Yeah.

So instead of just offering heartfelt thoughts and prayers, the media is using the tragedy. To score these cheap political shots. It makes no difference. It makes no sense to me.

Okay. But again, this is who the media are. And it's really sad that this has happened. We're getting some new intel. On some of the people that were on board, they're beginning to make those announcements.

We can tell you that there were 14 members of a figure skating club that were on board the flight. They were at an event, a skating competition in Wichita. We also understand that two Russian figure skaters were on board. The One of the pilots identified as a 28-year-old. His name is Sam Lilly.

Ironically, his dad flew Army Blackhawk choppers. during his time in the military. And we understand that Sam Balilli, who started his pilot training in twenty nineteen, was actually engaged to be married.

So it's just a terrible tragedy. Um some of the uh people on board were actually teenagers, these figure skaters, and uh just a horrible, horrible story. And I'm sure we'll be getting more information on um On the identities of the people that were on board that jetliner. I want to go to our Patriot mobile newsmaker line from Wichita, Kansas, Dalton Glascock, a member of the City Council there. And Dalton, I understand you guys just wrapped up a service there at City Hall.

Tell us what happened.

Well, first off, I want to thank the nation and the world for their prayers to Wichita right now and all those affected across the country. Not just Wichita affected, it's the United States and the country. And so I want to say thank you. And I just spent the last hour praying with city leaders, praying with pastors, praying with community members in Wichita. We gathered inside city hall for about 30 minutes and had prayers from dozens of pastors, and then we moved outside and prayed around our law enforcement memorial.

And there are hundreds of people that came out today on very short notice to offer their condolences to families. And people that are seeking answers right now.

So it was our understanding that a lot of these folks were figure skaters and they were in Wichita. What was going on last week in town? Last week was a exciting week in Wichita. We hosted the USA National Figure Skating Competition, and many of the athletes that came through Wichita are who we're going to see on the Olympic stage in Milan. And so It was a huge moment in Wichita, and a huge moment for our community.

And it's incredibly heartbreaking to know that some of those. individuals spent their last um days here in Wichita. Um and um it's just uh it's a tragic event all around. What um have have they been able to have they started the process of finding out if you know how many people from Wichita or from Kansas were on board the flight? We're still in the process.

We're getting regular updates from the FAA and from our partners in the federal government. And so we're compiling a list of individuals, a lot of organizations. We want to make sure every family is contacted before we release any names and before that we're given the names. Um, but uh we're slowly knowing more and more of the individuals and the organiz organizations and some of the stories of those on board. Are you in a place are you in a place right now um to confirm that there were people from Wichita on board the flight?

I can confirm there were people from Wichita on the flight. All right.

G my goodness. And this was a flight, my understanding that this flight is fairly new. I mean, normally you have to it's there aren't that many direct flights to Wichita. You guys just launched us, what, about a year ago? It was actually my first day in office was our first flight to Washington, DC.

And on january eighth of last year, and so we've had a direct flight from Washington DC. It's something our community has celebrated because of how many Americans go to Washington DC, but also the air capital of the world. And so often, aviation leaders from across the world come to Wichita and come through Wichita from Washington, DC. I personally take in that flight. Dozens of times over the past year.

And as recently as December of this year, I was on the exact same flight to DC. And I think everybody that's flown to DC knows the path line. They know when they cross the Potomac, they have about 15 seconds left before they land in DC. And it's one of the prettiest. landings uh I think in the world.

Uh when you land, you see the Capitol, you see the Potomac. You see the Washington Monument and the White House, and it's just heartbreaking to know that everybody on the plane saw those moments. Yeah, I can't even imagine. I mean, you're right. It's about 15 seconds.

It's always sort of a hair-raising just because of the sharp turn and the quick - it's a very quick landing coming in from that direction. And the idea, I mean, you have to, I don't think anybody saw this coming at all. I mean, it just was so sudden. No. I we hope it's done.

And we're going to be watching and making sure that questions are answered about and to make sure a tragedy like this doesn't happen in the future as well. This is The largest disaster, excluding natural disasters, since September 11th in the United States. and um we never got uh hit close to home. Wow, I'm looking at some images. It looks like you guys had a ton of people showing up today at this event.

It was pretty incredible. It was an emotional, I think, moment for the entire community, and it was just a moment to recognize. that even in the despair and even in these moments, We have a God that offers comfort and a God that offers protection and a God that offers life and hope. And in tragedy, those are sometimes, and those are the moments we must lean on our faith. And our community, the most as well.

Yeah.

All right.

Dalton Glascock, I know you're busy today. We certainly appreciate you phoning in. And I know a lot of our listeners on KQAM are listening and getting as much information as they can. Thanks again, Dalton. If I get a more update, I'll be happy to join you.

All right.

There you go. Dalton Glascock, a member of the Wichita City Council, providing us with a little update there. All right.

We've got to take a quick break here. Coming up, we're going to be talking to Caleb Hutchins from WTUN, the city of Gainesville, dealing with immigration protest yesterday. It was kind of shocking to see. Our telephone number, 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926.

This is the Todd Starn Show. Um Uh Um Um Mm-hmm. I'm going to make America healthier than other countries in the world right now. Will you guarantee do what every other major country does? That's a simple question.

And by the way, Bernie The problem of corruption is not just in the federal agencies, it's in Congress, too. Almost all the members of this panel are accepting, including yourself, are accepting millions of dollars from the pharmaceutical industry and protecting their interests. Oh, I thought that that would come. No, no, no, no, no. I ran for president like you.

I got millions and millions of contributions. They did not come from the executives, not one nickel of PAC money from the pharmaceutical engine. They came from workers. In 2020, you were the single largest pensions from workers all over this country. Workers, not a nickel from corporate dollars.

No, you were the single largest except for pharmaceutical dollars. No, from workers in 1.5 million. Yeah, out of. 200 million. All right.

Wow. Good for you, RFK Jr., calling out Bernie Sanders. No, no, no, no, no, no. Onesie, onesie, onesie. No.

Bernie Sanders called out. And look, that's what this is really all about. Big Pharma controls Washington, D.C. And the more I listen to RFK Jr., the more I read into what's happening at the information coming from the wellness company, the more I'm believing that there has been a concerted effort between Big Pharma and Big Food. To make all of us sick.

to make the country Fat to make the country sick. They put all of these additives into the food that don't need to be there, and we know that because the same food products overseas in Europe don't have anywhere near the kinds of weird ingredients that the food we have here has. And I'm telling you, I over the past the past six months or so, I've been very careful. When I'm out grocery shopping, I try to buy stuff that is locally made. Try to buy stuff that doesn't have all of the stuff that you got to get to bring a dictionary.

Yeah.

If you're going to go and grocery shop these days. Yeah.

But yeah, I do believe it's possible that the food we're eating is making us sick. And so we go to the doctor and they're like, oh, you're not feeling all great. We got a drug for that. When you look at At how children have been heavily medicated in this country going really all the way back to the late 1980s to where we are right now. You've got generations of kids that have been medicated to death.

So, yeah, I'm kind of anxious to see RFK Jr. get in there and Put a stop to all of this. And I like that. I think that's actually, I think it's a great idea. What say you, ladies and gentlemen?

901-260-5926 is our telephone number. That's 901. two six zero five nine two six. I want to go back to something, this is a long time ago. You know, President Trump When he came into office, and I was thinking about this with the attacks on Melania Trump from Vogue magazine and how they just they hate her, they hate conservatives.

When you look at the Trumps. You know what I see? I see a family that loves each other.

Now, yeah, it may be dysfunctional. They've had marriages, divorces. I get that. But you see You see a man in Donald Trump. And a wo and a wife, you have a woman in Melania Trump.

And it was very clear that they were hands-on: Trump in raising his children, Melania, and Trump raising Baron. And when you look at their kids. The kids came out pretty darn good. The kids are very successful. They're educated.

They're productive members of society. They're not going around burning down buildings. They're not getting arrested. And they're behaving themselves. very well-rounded individuals.

When you look at people like Barack Hussein Obama and Michelle Obama's kids, well. You gotta wonder. When you look at Joe Biden and that mess. You gotta wonder what's going on in those households. But I think when Trump And and especially when you see his interactions with his older grandchildren.

you start to appreciate the fact that for Donald Trump, The most important thing is that legacy. Donald Trump understands that the greatest legacy he has is not in the bank, it's his kids and it's his grandkids. Yeah.

And that is ultimately the message I think he was sending with his VP pick, J.D. Vance, because J.D. Vance has been talking about that and promoting the idea of moms and dads having children. First of all, getting married, having children, having a lot of kids. Going forth and multiplying, as the Bible tells us.

It's not a new concept, though.

Somebody sent me this last night, and I thought, wow, this is. This is what Donald Trump is really telling us today. But this was actually Ross Perot back in 1992. Ross Perot. ran an independent bid for the presidency and he nearly He nearly won.

If his campaign hadn't blown up, I think Ross Barreau. Could have been the next President of these great United States. Anyway, this is Ross Perot back in 1992, cut number nine. If I had to solve all the problems that face this country and I could be granted one wish as we started down the trail to rebuild the job base, the schools, and so on and so forth, I would say a strong family unit in every home where every child is loved, nurtured, and encouraged. A little child before they're 18 months learns to think well of himself or herself or poorly.

they develop a positive or negative self-image. At a very early age, they learn how to learn. If we have children who are not surrounded with love and affection, see, I look at my grandchildren and wonder if they'll ever learn to walk because they're always in someone's arms. And I think, my gosh, wouldn't it be wonderful if every child had that love and support? But they don't.

We will not be a great country unless we have a strong family unit in every home. And I think you can use the White House as a bully pulpit. to stress the importance of these little children, particularly in their young and formative years, to mold these little precious pieces of clay so that they too can live rich full lives when they're grown. I I I love that. I I love that idea.

And using the White House as a bully pulpit to build strong American families, Ross Perot got it. He knew back in the 1990s that if we are going to have a strong America, we're going to have to have strong American families. And that's really the sort of the undercurrent of this administration. The idea that making America great again is getting back to the family, getting back to church. Folks, I am so impressed with the Catholic community in America.

You guys are raising up, you're filling your sanctuaries. The masses are overflowing? There is a renewed interest in faith. And I hate to say this, but some of these non denominational churches out there that are basically glorified rock and roll concerts with a self help sermon, Have you noticed that in a lot of those churches, people are beginning to say, you know what? There's just got to be some there's got to be something more here.

There's just got to be something else. There's got to be something else here. There's got to be something deeper. And I think that's really what we are starting to see across America.

So I love this. And again, It's nothing new. It's just a reminder of what is vitally important. Folks, I got to tell you, eggs, they're still a little pricey out there, and it's going to take some time for those to come down. We explained that earlier this week on the show.

They want to give you a free wealth protection guide, a step-by-step plan to fortify your savings, diversify your savings and retirement with gold. There is no cost, no obligation. Just text the word Todd to 24999.

That's Todd to 24999 or go to prioritygold.com to get your free gold guide today. We'll be right back. All right, there was a big protest in Gainesville, Georgia yesterday. Illegals and their friends waving the Mexican flags. I want to go to the Patriot Mobile newsmaker line.

Our good friend Caleb Hutchins from WDUN, the news director there of our great affiliate, joins us. Caleb, what's going on there in Gainesville?

Well, it was something that we kind of knew was going to happen. It was not something that was done quietly, I guess you would say. They Gainesville has a very high Hispanic population, for those who don't know. It's one of the higher Hispanic populations in Georgia by percentage. Last time checked, the census had it at like thirty-seven percent.

Now when When these ICE raids started happening around the country, we started asking because we know what the Hispanic population is in Gangville, and it's Kind of the worst kept secret in the world that there are a good number of undocumented people also living in deer that are not counted in that. percentage Um, and we started asking, have there been in the ICE Operation Bing film? And So far, we have not gotten confirmation of any. But on Sunday, we did see a number of protesters out on a road near downtown Gainesville. I would say a small number, maybe a few dozen, holding signs and things of that nature.

They obviously were against the Trump's new immigration policies. And then on, I wanna say Wednesday, Tuesday of this week. We got word that a student at a local college was looking to hold another protest on Wednesday in the same area. And it started to get a little bit of traction on social media. A couple of organizations Local organizations didn't necessarily, I wouldn't use the word sponsor, but they kind of helped advertise.

The protest, the Hall County Democratic Party was one of those. I think there might have been a couple of others. But yeah, when we went out to send one of our reporters out to go look at it, there were We didn't get obviously a firm count, but there were hundreds of people And the protest started at five o'clock. They were on either side of a large four-lane road that's kind of one of the main arteries of Gainesville. Yeah, ton of people, signs and what have you, all that stuff.

So it was definitely crowded out there, and it lasted for several hours. I don't think the streets of Gainesville ended up getting cleared off completely until a little after 9 o'clock last night. Wow. So why are all these folks in Gainesville? Why such a large Hispanic population?

Well, I think there are probably several things going on there. I know that obviously, a lot of it historically has always been tied to the poultry industry. Gainesville is a city that's got a lot of industrial jobs. And that's always been kind of one of the main things that's been pointed to to the rise in the Hispanic population here. It started really in the nineties, I would say, and accelerated pretty dramatically through the two thousands and into the early twenty tens.

And it's just kind of been here ever since. But it's a very, very large community, there's no doubt about it. And one of our reporters was going out and asking the people who were in the protest, you know, what you know, what are you you know? Give us your thoughts, give us your opinions. Obviously, they're against Trump's immigration policies.

I know that he got a quote from one Particular woman who was born here in the U.S., but indicated that her parents. Uh we're Perhaps here illegally, and she said that she didn't want anything to happen to them, and that that's why she was out protesting. Like I said, a lot of people, I know that there were.

Some concerns about were things going to get violent or out of hand. There was not any property damage, but. was evident. And I talked to somebody with the Gainesville Police Department this morning who said that outside of a few idiots maybe like cutting donuts or doing stupid stuff out on the roads late at night around the protesters, There didn't seem to be any incidents or any violence. There were a few DUIs, but outside of that, it looked like things went mainly peaceful.

But yeah, it was no doubt a large number of people. You know, what I find fascinating here, Caleb, and by the way, you have Caleb Hutchins from WGUNA in Gainesville, Georgia.

So you guys have almost one hundred eighty thousand people in Hull County. And over 60,000 of those people are Hispanic. That is shocking. And I'm looking at the graphs here from 2012 all the way to the last, I think 2022 is the last numbers I see. It is, I mean, it's like a very steady climb up.

I mean, that population is just growing and growing and growing. Yes. And it's a thing now that like I said, it kind of started In the 90s, and that's been 30 plus years ago. And so, what you've got now is you've now got generations. established here in the city.

I think those numbers that you just read off are probably even higher now because I think the 2020 census had Hall County population. Or I think the most recent estimated census, I should say, that was maybe around 2022, had it over 200,000 total people. In Hall County.

So that that number is probably even higher. But the bulk of that Hispanic population in Hall County, although it it does stretch into some outlying areas as well, the vast majority of it is in Gainesville, which is the county seat. It's the largest city in the county. Are you getting any clear indication? Do you guys have any clear indication of how many Illegals might be living in your city.

No. And it's a tough thing to try to figure out for anybody. I mean, we know that there's a good number. And again, we've made multiple efforts this week To try to reach out both to local law enforcement as well as federal officials with ICE. To try to see, hey, has ICE conducted any targeted operations here in Hall County?

Because we Immediately started looking at that locally once that we saw the trend that was happening with the increased deportations and arrests nationwide, because we know there are a good number of undocumented people here at Hall County. But as of us talking right now, Todd, I have not heard of any ICE operations taking place in Hall County. I know that there have been a lot in Atlanta. And I think that might have stretched up into the Atlanta metro a little bit, maybe into Cobb and Gwinnett counties. Here in Hall County, as of us talking, we do not have any confirmed reports of any ICE activities or arrests or operations.

But what's the point of it? No, but what's what's really shocking here is that statewide, Hispanics account for about 10% of the population statewide. And in Gainesville, Georgia, over 30%. That's just shocking numbers to me. And the reason I ask that, Caleb, is I'm wondering if you're like the local school system, are you guys being overwhelmed with non-English-speaking students?

Are they having to hire an unusually large number of ESL teachers? And I'm wondering what sort of an impact that's having on crime and the economy there in Gainesville and Hawke County. As far as exact numbers, those I don't have, I do know just from experience, I know and have been related to. A lot of people who have worked in the local school systems that To answer your question generally, yes. There are a lot of non-English speaking students in Hall County.

There are a lot of ESL teachers in Hall County. And I don't know as much about Gainesville. Schools, but I would imagine that, that would be the case there as well. To answer your question just from anecdotal personal experience, Yes, that is the case. I mean, having that many people there, that will impact the overall culture of a community.

I don't care if you're in Georgia or wherever. I mean, that is a significant population. Yeah, definitely. And there's if you ever next time you're back in Gainesville, Toddy, I can tell you there's definitely a couple of parts of town that you can see are definitely very much look like a different city than other parts of town. I'll put it that way for sure, where you can tell that the Hispanic population is at its most dense.

It's definitely concentrated, I would say, mainly on the southern side of the city of Gainesville, between downtown Gainesville and the Oakwood area, is where it's kind of the most heavily dense for sure. And you can definitely tell when you're driving around. Would it be safe to say there are you would be in some areas of Gainesville and the people just don't even speak English? Yes, I would say, yes, I would say that's definitely the case. Yes, there are parts of town for sure.

All right.

Well, Caleb, we appreciate the great reporting there. I am shocked. I had no idea the numbers were that high. Certainly, we're going to be paying close attention to that. Thanks a lot, Caleb.

Hey, thanks, Dodd. Always good to talk to you. All right, Caleb Hutchins, everybody, from WDUN, the news director there. That is That's just insane that tells me That the culture of this community and this county has been changed, has been impacted. I mean, we have a lot of listeners in Georgia.

I'm curious, are you guys, you heard Caleb's reporting? Is that what you're seeing there in your town? 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. Let's go to Doug in Georgia, W-D-U-N, our great station there.

All right, Doug, what say you? Oh, yeah.

I'm with Caleb 100%. What amazes me is that people don't realize how many Latinos are in Georgia. Atlanta Highway in Gainesville, I often go there as one of the old parking lots to hire day laborers. There'll be like twenty or thirty guys and they're all excellent. They're all from Central America and Mexico.

Every every store, every restaurant on the Atlanta Highway is Latino. You feel like you're in Mexico. Excellent people. I think they're some of the hardest working people In the world.

So, anyway, I go to Sam's Club today in Walmart, which is just a little bit outside of town. noticeably no Latinos. And I say to somebody at the door, I go, What's going on? There's no Latinos here.

So I finally find a nice little girl inside her name's Ruby. And she looks Latino, Latina.

So I say to Ruby, I want to be sensitive about this. But can I ask you what's your feeling?

Well, she kind of shyly looks down. She goes, I thought I was the only one that noticed it. I said, Ruby, there's nobody in the store. Walmart is empty. A Walmart uh Sam's Club empty.

When I usually go to seventy to eighty percent of the people in there are Latinos.

So that's what I'm trying to get out, Doug, is that I guarantee you that and the reason why is they're illegal. They don't want to get caught. And that tells me out of that 60,000 or more than 60,000, I'm wondering how many of those are in fact illegal and are a drain on the local economy and the resources there in Gainesville and Hawke County.

Well, let me say this. There's a huge George's famous for chicken. These folks all work in the chicken factories, and I would not say drain. I really wouldn't.

Now, I voted for Trump. I'm not against illegal entry, but we need to do something to get these people who are hardworking, good people, because see, illegal or not, they're going to get hassled. And so now they're just going to stay home, and this is going to hurt us. All right, Doug, got to run, my friend. We've got a lot of people wanting to weigh in here.

Let's go to Angie in Gainesville. Hi, Angie. What say you? Mm-hmm, Colin. You're having a good day.

We all called in last year to your radio show to tell you about the illegal immigrant. It is now so bad that it is filled over to southern Jackson County Where I live, the Pendergrass leave market that has now been changed over to a Hispanic leave market. And the Gainesville Walmart is one of the biggest Walmart in Gainesville, like the only one in Gainesville other than Oakwood. That you can't buy American food in that Walmart. They have everything in Hispanic.

When you walk into that Walmart, as the groceries, everything are in Hispanic. Angie, almost a third of your county, which is a huge county, almost a third is Hispanic. It's like you guys are your entire area is being overrun. It is, and Caleb got on there talking about Gainesville to Oakwood. That if he drives out towards Jackson County and goes into the Hall County southern, it's basically the southern part we call it, but it's been revamped.

We have so much crime. We have one store that gets robbed once a week. You can look it up online. It's called A. L.

Mangum, and it's on Harmony Church Road. That used to be a whole community of African Americans, white community. They have taken over the whole community. There's thousands of them outside of the Gainesville City limit. And would you when we called in we called in last year to you to report this, and the other lady called, and we don't go we can't go to gains well, it's too dangerous.

There's a shooting every other five minutes that they won't report.

Sounds like Beth. And the guy that called in before talking about the chicken plant. Unfortunately, our politicians in this state are not going to do anything about it because it is about the money. Oh, no doubt about that. Angie, I got to run there because I want to try to get in as many people as we can here, and we don't have a lot of time.

Let's go to Gary, who I understand you're from a firefighter paramedic perspective. Hi, Gary. Yeah, so It's great to speak with you today. You know, I I I've served twenty-nine years uh there in Gainesville as a as a firefighter and You know, over the years, the population of the it's not just a recent burst of influx of Hispanics. And there's a lot of good Hispanics that that come and You know, they they uh they pay their way, they pay their taxes.

But again, we are Gainesville is overrun. Hall County is overrun with Hispanics. A lot of the um resources that have been allocated to the citizens who you know, uh uh effectively pay the taxes for everything. They have they've taken over most all of your housing authorities And like the lady said before, there were communities where they have run You know, the black population completely out of the housing authorities and a lot of the communities on the eastern side of town, which she recommend. I think she referenced it over on the Harmony Harmony Church Road.

And the crime, Gainesville, per population is probably one of at one time we were the probably the third uh most deadly city to live in based on the the the capita. Uh and it's since gotten worse uh since uh Since the border had been unsecured and we've had a a great influx of Hispanics coming. And it's not just Hispanics coming across the border, you're talking about a whole slew of of different uh Nationalities, not just there, but all the way down into South America. and then China and then a a lot of Eastern cultures. Um But Reference it down on the Atlanta Highway area, it is a whole different world down there.

The crime has really, really. Um As uh Really? Shot through the roof and Yeah, we've had gains, a lot of gains up in that area. People, you know, a lot of killing in that area. A lot of the stuff doesn't get reported.

No. A lot of the shootings don't get reported.

Well, Gary, I appreciate the call. I've got to run here for a quick break. I want to read this. And again, I'm looking at 2020 census numbers, so these numbers obviously have gone up. At that point, white non-Hispanic residents in Gainesville accounted for 59% of the population.

That's 120,000. Hispanic, fifty seven thousand, that's a twenty eight percent, and then black residents, seven percent.

So I mean, you've got the if those trajectories hold, you're going to have an entire county that'll be majority Hispanic in probably 10, 15 years if those numbers aren't Aren't addressed. And again, my question would be: how many of those folks are here illegally? 901-260-5926. We'll be right back. All right, let's try to squeeze in another call here.

Let's go to Mike in Georgia, WDUN. Mike, got about 60 seconds here. What's on your mind?

Okay, I'll make it quick. I'm for perspective, I'm the old conservative white guy. Karen. I'm I'm for the sending back the illegals, but at the same time I really ticked off the fight and Bella. It is dog.

Demographic ranches put us in this situation. I'm not kicked off at them for trying to fix it, but I am kicked off of that. And as far as the um See you. around here. Oh.

I would rather live next to one of the legal Latinos than some of the more progressive of white people. I have a friend that rents houses. He said his favorite people to live to are the Latino.

Well, the issue is not Hispanic or black or white. The issue is legal or not legal, in my estimation. And if you're here illegally, you got to go. Back of the line. You want to come to America, get in line like everybody else.

And if Americans are going to be lazy and they don't want to pick lettuce or tend to the chickens, then so be it. But that's on us. But we got to get this illegal immigration situation under control. Folks, got to run. We will see you tomorrow.

Yeah.
