Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's common sense conservative commentary from Todd Starr. That's right. I love this American ride. And yes, these are the Liberty University studios, but no. I'm not Todd Starrens.
I'm Jamie Allman, a longtime friend. Love that guy, and so pleased and privileged to be filling in for him today. Todd is going to be back on Monday. He is at the Spiritual Leadership Conference in Lancaster, California, good old Lancaster, California. And so, Todd will be back by Monday.
Rest assured, everybody.
So, thank you for being with me today. Our. Prayers are in constant Upgrade. As Helene is in constant upgrade to now a category two. And of course, we have Georgia and North Carolina as well as Florida all in a state of emergency right now.
So we will keep you posted, obviously, as things go on here on the Todd Starns Network. And we know that folks are battening down the hatches. There's life-threatening storm surges that are being forecasted right now, and some of them being called unsurvivable if you happen to be in the vicinity.
So it's really a time of trepidation for a lot of folks, especially our brave fellow. Brothers and sisters, there in the Florida Peninsula and the Florida Big Bend, where that warning is in effect right now. And so as time goes on, It might get worse, but now category two, we'll see how everything works out. But prayers go out to our brothers and sisters there in the southeast. All right, so this happened.
in November of 2023. Democrat mayor Eric Adams. was on his way to Washington, D.C. to complain about the Obama-Biden regime. To complain to them at the time.
And now I think we can flip it to Biden Harris, but you know what I'm saying. Because New York's migrant crisis was so bad. And and this was again a year ago. And the migrant crisis was terrible. And it only got worse.
in the ensuing months up until now. And Mayor Adams was a very vocal. complainer about what was going on. And even to the point where I don't know whether we're going to be a sanctuary city anymore. This is outrageous what's happening to our citizenry.
And This needs to change. And Adams was one of these lone wolves. You know, he's one of these lone devils. Democrats Complaining about what's going on in this city. I mean, look at what's happening in Chicago.
You have. Venezuelan gangs running amok. You've got All of these wreck centers, supposedly built for black citizens, now being occupied by homeless illegals. And the Democrat structure in Chicago isn't saying one little peep about it. And In New York, it's a different story.
Mayor Adams is peeping about it. and was peeping about it. And now Mayor Adams is indicted. After a federal investigation into his dealings with these guys from Turkey. And apparently, what they were doing was they were giving him lavish gifts and all these travel upgrades and all this stuff in exchange for him.
Kind of wanting interference. For some of their buildings and things like that in New York.
Now again, I I am not in any situation, not in any way, shape, or form, trying to find some. Brightness in bribery. I'm not excusing that if indeed that happened, but I guarantee you. That on down the line in almost every aspect of New York City government. There are some people getting favors from some other people for.
Good graces and for things like that.
So either these are sham charges. And really don't involve much more than just your standard. Political quid pro quo, or Mayor Adams is going to prison for the rest of his life. One of those two things will be true. But one thing absolutely is true.
Is that Mayor Adams almost assuredly had a target on his back? As a result of being outspoken. And the only problem is. That if you're up to no good or you're doing things that are just about close to crossing the law. And you are also speaking out.
you've got something to find and they're going to find it on you.
Now again, I'm not excusing crime. I'm not excusing bribery or even for that matter quid pro quo. It shouldn't have to work that way that somebody who can afford to upgrade you to first class gets better treatment when it comes to building inspections and things like that. But I don't think that anyone can deny That Eric Adams, the mayor of New York, was targeted. By the feds By the Department of Justice.
Mostly because he started running his big fat mouth about illegal aliens. I don't think there's any question about that. And here's what happens, and it's very simple. You all are normal people like me. You know what happens in a situation like this.
There's Eric Adams running his big fat mouth about illegal aliens in his city and decrying the Sanctuary City stuff and going after the federal government for dumping all these illegals in his city, and behind the scenes.
Well misses Prosecutor herself, Kamala, And others are like, oh. Really? Hmm. Let's let's Start to check in to see what Mayor Adams is up to. Let's see if there's something, and that's the problem that Mayor Adams has: he perhaps was a little too overconfident.
And also, may be involved in a level of criminal activity. I think the determination has to be whether or not this happens all the time or what. And then here's what happens. And I'm not even. In law enforcement and in prosecutions, but I know how this works.
So, what happens is after Kamala. 'Cause she's the border czar and this is all blowing back on her and she's a prosecutor. And after all this is determined, I go, Hmm, I wonder what Mr. Adams has been up to. For the past Decade or so.
I wonder what he's been doing. You think we can find out, and then what happens is you get a few investigators. And they start nosing around the perimeter of Eric Adams. They start nosing around the world of Mayor Adams. And eventually, they start picking around and they find a couple of people.
Who they ask, hey, um What's going on? What's been happening? Or or they find a few disgruntled people? Maybe a few Democrats in his administration, there might have been a situation where somebody. who is more covetous of the Democratic Party than Mayor Adams is.
squealed on him. Told on him. Or went to the feds and said, Hey, You know what he's doing, don't you? began the unraveling. But I don't think still in the end Regardless of whether or not Mayor Adams is guilty or innocent.
I do know There's no chance. that he wasn't targeted. There's no way That given what he was up to. That he wasn't Living with a target on his back as a result of his very open statements. About illegal aliens and the failure of the federal government to protect the citizens of New York City.
Now, then you're thinking, well, darn, if he's doing something not so much on the up and up. Why would he run his mouth like this and attract such attention?
Well, the chances are pretty good. And of course, ignorance of the law. is no excuse But the chances are pretty good that Eric Adams isn't so dumb as as to be committing crimes at the same time taunting the feds.
So There's a strong possibility that Eric Adams might not have even known what he was doing was illegal, although that doesn't. mean anything because ignorance of the law is no excuse. But still, There's something up here, and I do believe those two things have intersected. In a negative way on Eric Adams. And unfortunately, now the feds are just going to get their way forever because he's going to have to shut up.
His lawyers, you probably heard him speaking for the last time today. And of course, it was a typical New York City news conference. I'd try to play some of it on the air for you, but you wouldn't. get a word in edgewise because they apparently haven't heard of microphones in New York City. And then you have half of the New Yorkers all screaming and yelling in the background.

Oh, I love it. Thank you, Todd, for the opportunity. And so great to be with all of you. When are these companies? going to learn that we are a Christian nation, it's okay.
I mean, we've got people who are from the Muslim faith, the Buddhist faith, whatever. But there are Christians in this country. And even if you don't believe we are a Christian nation, You have to believe that there are Christians. in this country.
Alright, so This guy goes into, I've never seen these kinds of stores, but apparently there are these Coca-Cola stores. Like everything coke. It's kind of like going into a Disney store where everything is Disney. And so he goes in there and they have a machine. that where you can customize a Coke can.
So you can go in there, and it's like a little, you know, it's a. screen that you can type in things on. I'll show you the I'll well, I won't show you the video. If you can see this, by the way, you need to patent that because it's a technological miracle. Miracle.
So here you go with the audio from This guy trying to put in the word Jesus. When he is attempting to customize a Coke can. Personalize a message. You can put a la Loved you. Or you could even put, let me see.
Sorry, myself. Let me see. Let's just try that Buddha. That's very funny, Buddha. Love you.
But you cannot even type in the word Jesus. Yeah. We cannot allow this text on the can. That's what it says. Whoops, we cannot do this.
There's some kind of. technical problem or what have you. And It's crazy. That you can't put Jesus on the coke can.
Now, of course. This goes on Facebook and then there's this mass Furer, and rightly so. You can even put Satan on the Coke can. But you can't put Jesus on the customized Coke can.
So this outfit called the Uh daily dot also attempted The same thing. And using the company's website.
So, the company's website also has a customized Coke can thing on it, and the Daily Dot people were unable to. Do that and received an error message. Stating that Jesus is not approved to appear on a can.
So, again, you can go onto the website there and Try it yourself.
So There's a call to boycott Coca-Cola. And Right now, Coca-Cola is saying, well, you know. This isn't our fault. It's some kind of glitch. It's some kind of this or that.
Isn't it funny how Whenever there are glitches in this world, Whether it be through For instance, in Madison, Wisconsin, duplicate ballots being sent out. To certain homes in certain areas in Madison, Wisconsin, which is a highly liberal place. And the guy who's responsible for it's, oh, that must have been just a glitch. Or when we had that whole Siri issue. Where she supported Kamala Harris but didn't say anything about Donald Trump.
What was that attributed to? Oh, that's just kind of a glitch. We'll have to fix that. But we all know. Who is plugging in the algorithms and who is plugging in.
This and that. And we all know exactly Then it's a human being. And so Coca-Cola has not responded to this yet. And If there is such a thing as a boycott, I mean, they certainly will know it. I mean, listen, Christians.
Drink Coca-Cola, I'll tell you that. And so If this is some kind of thing. Coca-Cola. Better fix it. Or otherwise you go.
Totally the way of Bud Light. If you don't come out forcefully and say something about this, And figure this out because this is a problem on your hands. This is spreading like wildfire. All across the internet. And this is something that Coca-Cola needs to fix.
Because I'll tell you one thing: Coke's a good soda. I like it. But there are a lot of people, including me, Who don't like it that much that if you're going to deny Jesus, we're still going to drink you. I mean, I realize there are Coke people and there are Pepsi people, and you know, there are the RC Cola people with the moon pie. I get all that.
I actually love RC Cola, so. If I have to drink A soda? Then I'm not choosing Coke. I'll just choose RC or I'll choose something else. But These other folks are planning like a real live boycott.
And this is going to be trouble. Yeah. Especially if Kid Rock winds up shooting a case of it like he did with Bud Light. Although now he's kind of back in the good graces, and now he's kind of back as a Bud Light guy. But boy, I'll tell you one thing, it took some time.
And Bud Light had to crawl out of a hole. And I don't know when these woke corporations are going to learn. I still can't figure out what could possibly even if you're not a religious person, what could possibly be so offensive As the word Jesus. It doesn't make any sense to me at all. It's highly aggressive.
And hopefully in this fashion. There's pretty much a good chance that Coca-Cola is going to pay dearly for this. All right, these Venezuelan gangs. Are running amok, not just in Chicago, but now all across the country. Our friend Cheryl Chumley, she's the online opinion editor of the Great Washington Times.
She also has a podcast called Bold and Blunt. She's going to be joining us to tell us exactly how this is so reflective. Of the Biden regime's border madness. This is the Todd Starn Show, and I'm Jamie Allman, pleased and honored to be filling in. Hi, everyone.

In general, flooding and all that kind of stuff. I know that we have some really dear friends there in Georgia listening on WDUN. And this big storm I know is affecting you. And so, on the other side of this, after I talk to Cheryl, I'd love to hear from all of you at WDUN or beyond and how you're prepping for this storm, what you're doing, whether you're going to leave, all those kinds of things.

And if you can, if you're not prepping, You can call the show, and I would love to talk to you. All right, this is really becoming a gigantic problem.
now around the country. Cheryl Chumley is the online opinion editor of The Washington Times and host of Bold and Blunt, the great podcast. It really is great. And this violent Venezuelan gang situation, we saw what was happening in Colorado. But that was after we saw what was happening in Chicago.
Where even the thuggiest of the thugs in Chicago are afraid of the Venezuelan gangs there. And now apparently it's just rapidly growing nationwide, this one particular gang. Cheryl Chumley, welcome to the show. Really appreciate having you on, and congrats on a great podcast, by the way. Oh, thank you so much for your kind words, and it's so great to be with you.
Thank you. Yeah, so we here's one thing we know is happening, because a lot of people are going, well, why Venezuela? Why Venezuela?
Well, is it because, is it not because Maduro is literally Flying these people out of the country and into this one. From their prisons, right? I mean, this is a gang that was born in Venezuelan prisons.
So it's as Donald Trump said, right? They're not sending their best and brightest. They're sending their criminals, their gangbangers, their traffickers and so forth across the border. And under this Joe Biden administration, this is the big peril here, right? We have under this administration record numbers of illegals who have flowed across the border into America to disappear into parts unknown and most egregiously using tax dollars, American tax dollars, to be housed and fed and sheltered and so forth and brought into sanctuary cities no less.
But then they're sheltered from the deportation storm by their liberal leaders in the cities.
So, conveniently, of course, to my recollection, Venezuela has a. policy where they don't accept deportations, correct? As far as I know, yes. I haven't looked into all the specifics, but I remember reading that as well. Yeah, I mean and and that's it so so even if we wanted to send them back, they wouldn't be allowed back into the country.
They wouldn't be accepting them.
So it's convenient for Maduro to do this and clean up that whole area of Venezuela in his mind. But now we've got a problem on our hands, and this country, especially among the news media and the Democrat politicians, seems to be in this total state of denial. Because every time you're asked about Illegal alien crime. Everybody comes back with these figures.
Well, you know, crime is actually down. It's like, well, it's not down among illegal aliens. Yeah, well the Republicans in Congress just a few months ago put forth a fact sheet about the Biden administration, and this administration is Headed toward 10 million border encounters, right, before the end of this fiscal year. And that's probably what. Venezuela opening its jail cells and letting in these illegal criminals into America.
with the AOK of this administration. And so the bigger takeaway here is really what are you going to do in November? Because we all know that Kamala Harris has promised to allow basically the same open border situation that Joe Biden has. Donald Trump has announced a massive deportation campaign, and even many conservatives question what that will look like. Because it's very difficult.
How are you going to get these people out? Especially as you point out, Venezuela won't take them back. But really what's most important is the narrative. And Donald Trump, it's known around the world that when Donald Trump was president, don't come across America's borders because you will be booted out. And they did very public roundups of illegals in communities around the nation to deport them.
So it's really the narrative you have to look at here. And coming into November, our nation's future depends on the right candidate being elected into the White House. I mean, we just cannot. Keep our borders, keep our nation flourishing if we continue to allow this many criminals into America. Talking to Cheryl Chumley, she's the online editor there at the wonderful Washington Times, the opinion editor there, and host of Bold and Blunt.
And Cheryl Chumley, You know, just as a matter of technicality, it's interesting how this, once these people are arrested, these people in this gang and these Venezuelan gangs are arrested, they're afforded the same rights as American citizens.
So they're not immediately seized by ICE. They're not immediately. Deported. They're not immediately jailed. They're going through the normal system that normal people, I'm not calling criminals normal, but you know what I mean, who go through the system, they make a court appearance, initial appearance, and then they're released on their own recognizance and then on the promise of coming back to court.
Now, unlike some other American criminals, They ultimately do. They're out on bond. These people. Do not live anywhere in particular. And so you release them on bond, and they just wander to another area, which apparently has been happening and thus the nationwide spread.
And let's not forget that they get treated to some top legal representation as well. Do you remember when Barack Obama left well, excuse me, do you remember when Eric Holder left his position in justice during the Barack Obama administration and went up to California? And announced that he was going to start a legal organization to help illegals, basically, who are brought to court in America. And there are others in the Democrat Party who have done the same.
So there is money being flowed into these organizations, these legal organizations led by Democrats. To represent even the most criminal of criminal elements who are allowed to cross into America's borders. in our justice system.
So they are treated to more benefits than the average American taxpaying citizen gets in the legal system as well. Yeah, I mean that is it's so this is so offensive. And I think though in the end Americans are getting it because, on the one hand, we have this Venezuelan gang problem, and on the other hand, the Venezuelan gang problem is not just in border communities.
So you're seeing it in Chicago, and the black community is absolutely in revolt mode. You saw it in Aurora, Colorado, which is generally a sleepy little Probably a medium liberal town outside of Denver. And believe me, they're going to be transformed into individuals who are in high alert mode over the border.
So ultimately, as bad as this Venezuelan gang problem is, to me, it seems to be creating new Trump voters every single day. That's the ray of sunshine, right? But in the meanwhile, what's taking place is. As you point out, these illegals aren't just staying in border areas, right? They're coming to all points across America.
And the thing with this particular gang, like with all gangs, but this one in particular, the TDA. They're vicious. They're traffickers, not just in drugs, but in humans. And they actively seek to recruit young minors to go into sex trafficking trade. And this isn't something that's confined to the Democrat-controlled cities, right?
They go into public school systems at communities near you and me, and they are trained to know what to look for in terms of vulnerable minors, particularly females, right? Females with broken homes, females who come from. homes with abuse and neglect and so forth. And their young gang members are trained in how to approach these females and draw them into the sex trafficking trade.
So this isn't just New York City or Chicago. This is any town USA in your public school systems. You know, Cheryl Chumley, I almost don't want to know the answer to this because I have a sneaking suspicion that this is what's happening. I do believe, and I'm not quite sure you've been able to get into the research on this, But is there an American link to these gangs?
Somebody has to be taking advantage. of their nefarious activities, their organization, their ruthlessness and their ability to be a criminal gang. And I'm afraid that somebody in the U. S. ultimately picks up on it and essentially sponsors them or utilizes them uh as a bunch of illegals who are going to get In many ways, a free pass, as you would point out, and best representation.
And so they could basically contract out to these. Gang members any American criminal enterprise could. That's just common sense, right? There has to be some sort of trail in America, right, where these crimes can occur. And if you look back under the Donald Trump administration, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo made sex trafficking a priority of his administration.
And if you read through some of the reports that came forth under that four-year term, you can see that America has really exploded as a mecca for sex traffickers. It's a sad and sorry and very underreported and oftentimes ignored reality of America, but we really need to take a deep dive look. And you see the headlines, missing migrant children and missing children and so forth.
Well, where are those children going?
Some of them may be reunited with family members, but I think that there is something deeper and darker going on. And there definitely has to be people in America, American citizens, probably high up. Powerful people in America who are part and parcel of this whole depraved system. Cheryl Chumley, we are grateful for your work on behalf of this great country as the online opinion editor of The Washington Times and, of course, host of Bold and Blunt, a podcast you all can find on any of your favorite. Podcast network.

Live from the Liberty University Studios, this is the Todd Starnes Show, and I am Jamie Allman. Really hugely privileged to be filling in for my good friend Todd Starnes. He is traveling, he is in Lancaster, California at a spiritual outreach conference, and he'll be back on the show on Monday.
So that will be the deal. All right, again, our prayers for all of you throughout the Southeast as Hurricane Helene descends upon your sweet little communities. And we will obviously check in too with a couple of folks who are plugged into the news, especially down there at WDUN in Gainesville. And we'll check in with some folks there on the other side of this hour. You all remember back in the day, and I I have to say that I I regret this a little bit.
Remember the the people who used to protest the UN? You know, back in the back in the eighties, And I was kind of a I was still young, still in college at that time. And These people would stand outside of Courthouses or stand outside of places with signs protesting the UN. Or how about the people who wanted to abolish the Federal Reserve?
Now, do you remember, and if you're not one of them, I applaud you because I happen to be one of them. Who said, I don't know, those people kinda seem a little nuts to me, I dunno. What's wrong with the UN? That was United Nations. you know, back in the day when we were ignorant and young, And thought that those Crazies were out there protesting the UN, were kind of like just weird, and maybe even reading too much.
You know, remember those days? It turns out they were right. The whole time. about the Federal Reserve And about the The UN? Throwing the United States under the bus every chance it gets.
I mean, come on. And remember the people who used to talk about the scam of fluoridating our water. They're fluoridating our water. And poisoning our children. Oh, shut.
That's just a bunch of baloney. You're crazy.
Well, guess what? This week A federal judge ruled against the EPA. Over concerns about the currently recommended fluoride levels in drinking water throughout the country. Judge Edward Chen. issued this ruling Citing a recent review by the National Institutes of Health people.
Which concluded that higher levels of fluoride may be linked to lower IQs in children. This is coming to us. From the NIH people, you know. Judge Chen cited, In all there is a substantial and scientifically credible evidence establishing that fluoride poses a risk to human health. It is associated with a reduction in the IQ of children.
And it is hazardous at dosages that are far too close to fluoride levels in the drinking water now in the United States. There you go. The people who were worried about fluoride were not nuts. We're not crazies. portrayed as such by People in the science community, obviously, and people in the media as well.
And so now we have yet another truth Unfolded a truth palm given to us, this time from a federal judge. The idea, by the way, that the NIH is the one admitting something so shocking That means that the evidence has to be Unbelievable to support this idea. The evidence has to be overwhelming. to a certain degree. Because keep in mind all the COVID crazies They all love the NIH.
They all worship At the Alter of the NIH. After all, the NIH is baloney. About COVID and everything else.
So, what are they going to say now? Because they're the ones who will step in and call us all crazy about fluoridating water, right?
Now what are they going to say? That the NIH is the one. Leading the charge. In exposure. of the true damage That fluoridating water really causes children.
This is an amazing story. You're not going to see a whole lot of coverage of this. Because, of course, it confirms That the people who are always thinking commonsensically. We're yet right again. Going way back to the Federal Reserve protesters, to the UN protesters, to the fluoride protesters, these people had something going on.
All right, we're going to check in in Hurricane Central in just a few minutes on the other side of this. This is the Todd Stars show, live from the Liberty University Studios, and I'm Jamie Ullman. Privileged to be filling in. Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee. It's America's conservative blowtorch.
That's right. I love this American ride. Todd Starnes. Oh, yeah. That is right, people.
These are the Liberty University Studios, and this is the Todd Starnes Show. Jamie Allman, privileged to be filling in for my good friend Todd Starnes, who is traveling. He is going to be returning to the air on Monday. He's at a spiritual outreach. Consortium in California, and he will be back with us on Monday.

If it were not for the Federalists, We would have so many ignorant Americans out there. We would be so in the dark because they cover stories that are sometimes not always of the national brand, but are national in scope because they zero in on the every step of the way poisoning of our country at the hands of left-wing lunatics.
Joy Pullman is the executive editor of The Federalist, and I'm really hugely pleased to have Joy Pullman on the show here. And she's got a couple of articles regarding tax-funded. one tax funded group That is Basically, going in and poisoning the wells of daycares with all kinds of. Racial, trans. Anti-police propaganda.
This is really super hard to believe. Joy Pullman, thank you, and welcome to the show. How are you? Oh, thank you for having me, Jamie. A pleasure to be with you.
Great to be with you, too.
So, what is this taxpayer-funded group, and what are they doing?
Well, so the organization is called the Wisconsin Urban Childhood Association. And it is essentially, you know, exists to be basically a pass-through for federal and state grants to daycare's early childhood centers in the state of Wisconsin.
So it administers federal food programs that go out to daycares as well as subsidies to people studying to get their license. For being a daycare worker in Wisconsin. And so they this year sent out DEI kits. to three hundred daycares across the state of Wisconsin. And people are pretty familiar at this point with the acronym DEI, but I think people are not quite as familiar with the very large amount of board books, you know, very materials aimed at babies, toddlers, very small children.
So people are aware this is in universities in K twelve, but you know, it probably would surprise some people to see the large amount of Tax-funded resources that are heading to babies at day court care. You know, before they're even speaking words, they're being told, you know. That we want to abolish the police and turn the prison system over to the grandmothers. to participate in Black Lives Matter Yeah. And to be looking for racial differences in grievances in order to exploit them and be have animosity towards people based on their skin color from the time they are tiny.
This is crazy. And so, what happens with the parent involvement in all of this? Is this all happening? With parental approval, do they even bother? How does that work?
So I spoke with a daycare owner in Wisconsin who received one of these kits. She wasn't aware of the divisive and frankly, For it for it's unconstitutional as well as illegal for tax-funded organizations to push discriminatory information. But she wasn't aware, of course, that that's what she would be getting. She thought it would be great books to share with the children that she cares for. Um and so she told me that sh one of the things she noticed about this Is that the parents are entirely bypassed in this situation, right?
The state funded licensing organization, because the Wisconsin Early Childhood Association also is a licensing entity for licensing daycares in Wisconsin. And people take continuing education through them in order to keep up their state day care license.
So you have this empathy bypassing parents and going straight over their heads to the daycare owners to send these racist, frankly, you know, these anti-Christian there's you know, the the books literally uh link um you know uh white supremacy with Christianity um in in the content for the adults in these books.
So these extremist materials are being by this tax funded organization to daycare owners, and those care owners are being given trainings about how to teach this material to children, all without parent knowledge, of course. And I'm assuming that there is some knowledge on the part of whoever is vetting the process of. tax funding them Either that or they have to put together some kind of mission statement or some kind of appeal or what have you. I don't know how that works, but obviously. This is done with a level of blessing from the very government that is funding them, correct?
That's right. So when I reached out to the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families, which is the entity that gives millions of dollars for state Wisconsin dollars, To this WECA organization in Wisconsin.
So I asked them, you know, whether they how they participated at what level in sending out these racist kits to kids. They really didn't provide me an answer to a lot of the questions that I asked. They only claimed that these specific kids were not funded with money from them. which attorneys in the state that I spoke to said, first of all, that doesn't prevent there from being discrimination, put claims potentially against them, because if you receive any government money at all, you have to comply with anti-discrimination laws. You can't preach that white people are bad to babies if you take government funds in any case, regardless of whether the preaching of the white hatred to babies is not funded directly by tax dollars.
But second of all, the attorney at the Wisconsin Institute of Law and Liberty there in Wisconsin pointed out to me that money is fungible, right?
So sure, after there's outrage, the government can claim, oh, well, this was done with private dollars. But the question is, is that really how money went into the pot in the first place? Yeah, but the overarching, I mean, but I think you can really find the answer to whether the state of Wisconsin. The agencies, especially which are run by a Democrat governor, there are governor there, Tony Evers, who is all into the extremist leftism, like DEI. Those agencies, I think all you need to know is by the fact that the communications, the spokewoman for spokeswoman that I contacted from Wisconsin's Department of Children and Family, she puts her pronouns in her email bio.
Oh Lord. Yeah. So I guess, and we're talking with Joy Paul. I'm bored with all of this. I know.
Talking with Joy Pullman. She's the executive editor of The Federalist. And I'm assuming that this isn't isolated to Wisconsin. I'm assuming there's some kind of. Template.
This cannot be something that is only Wisconsin-oriented, even though obviously ultimately we'll find out. But it seems to me this is the kind of program and the kind of, you know. uh creation of a kit That probably is duplicated in other parts of the country.
Well, that's right.
So this Wisconsin organization actually brought in one of the authors of some of the books that they sent around to the children. In fact, some of the most extremist of the books I went through My local library, I'm in a completely different state, but my local library had all of these racist board books available for children paid for by my local tax dollars, you know.
So I looked at all the books that were in this kit that my lib to get a good sense of them that was available in my library. And the most extremist ones were written by a lady that this Wisconsin organization paid to come in and do a training to daycare teachers. And she is New York-based. Yeah, so she does she She came to Wisconsin for the conference of the What Wisconsin Early Childhood Association, I believe, two years ago. She's giving this training earlier this year.
She traveled around the country to all of these organizations that are focused on early childhood. She's a former preschool teacher herself.
So, this is absolutely not something that is limited to the state of Wisconsin. And I think people, all they need to do is. Go to the Amazon page of some of the books that I quoted in this article, and you can find people all over the country who are daycare teachers saying that they love these books to introduce. Um you know, sex to little kids. To introduce, let's say, rainbow sort of materials to babies who have zero interest or knowledge or need to have any at age baby, at age two, at age five.
They don't need to know about any of that stuff. You know, there's daycare educators on there. Personally, saying, I use this with the small children in my classroom, and I'm so excited that to be teaching children all about. identity politics, intersectionalism, race and sex hatred in my classroom. There's no doubt about it.
And you know what? I'm telling you, Joy Pullman, it seems to me. That over the past, oh, I would imagine maybe five years, it seems like the radical left. has decided that they're losing some of the older kids and the high school kids and everything else because the critical race theory has been roundly debunked. And I think many kids who are now in college Finally, ultimately realize that.
So it seems like this is an effort in a lot of ways, and it happens everywhere, and especially even with the defunding of the police and the anti-police movement and beyond. It seems like this is an effort to basically get new recruits. in the left wing movement, meaning you have to catch them early. And brainwash them super early now because you're losing some of the older ones. If I didn't know any better, I'd think that was the case.
Well, in fact, that is true.
So I have a book that came out this summer called False Flag, Why Queer Politics Means the End of America. And I go through the research there that shows that especially sexual exposure to children makes them far more likely to identify as queer, right?
So if kids see pornography at all, but especially the younger they see it, the worse that it is, that increases the likelihood of their identification as something other than heterosexual.
So we know that the sexual revolutionaries, one of their goals is to end heteronormativity. What does that mean? If you have something that is normal, it is something that at least the majority of people do, right? And so if you don't want the majority of people to be heterosexual, well, then you're saying, wow, we're starting from a single-digit population now, we are recruiting. Yeah, I mean, you almost have to.
I mean, initially, at one point, it seemed that critical race theory was, in fact, its own little recruiting tool because some of the people in their 20s weren't buying into the race baiting and this creation of a wrong race and a right one. And so it seemed to me at that time there was even a little bit of recruiting going on until they were exposed there.
Now they're having to go into daycares for crying out loud. It's crazy.
Well, and you know, in daycare, it's also a very tender time for children. They're in that critical period where a child really needs to bond with his mother in order to have a secure identity for life. The amazing author and researcher Mary Eberstadt has written a book called Primal Screams that I rely on in my book as well. She talks about how the rise in identity politics really has coincided with the loss of familial ties among Americans, you know, generation over generation.
So little kids are meant to be with close to their mother, close to their family, within loving relationships that they understand their place and their sense. of the world. And when you're separating small children from their family, from their natural and normal place, they need a sense of identity and they're losing something that's very important and primal to them.
So I think the more that you separate especially small children from their mothers and from their families and separate people from that environment that makes them sane and healthy, then they are looking for an identity. And identity politics is one of the answers that they the false kind of replacements for a real loving, natural, close family that people who don't have a loving, close, natural family grab onto.
So there absolutely is a deep primal human hunger that every single human has to be loved and wanted by his own family, the two people who made him. And when that bond is d damaged, destroyed, stretched apart, then the kids go looking for something else to replace it with. And nowadays, a lot of them are finding that in identity politics. Yes, there's no doubt about it. And I think it's just a matter of people just fighting it at every level.
And ultimately, hopefully, we get some people in Congress and beyond who are going to be paying attention to exactly where Our federal dollars are being spent. Joy Pullman from the Federalists, thank you so much for all the work you all do there. We just so appreciate what you do to contribute to our enlightenment and our strength. And congratulations, of course, on your book. How do people get a hold of that?
It's on Amazon, right? I know it's not new, but we can find it, right?
Okay. Yep, shit. Go ahead and search for it. You'll find it in all the major book sellers. It's out with Regnery.
All right, that sounds great. Joy Pullman, thank you so much for your time, and good luck with everything. Thank you. Thanks for having me. All right, my friends, coming up, we're going to check in with our lovely brothers and sisters in the southeast as Hurricane Helene starts to move in.
This is Jamie Allman filling in for the great Todd Starnes at the Liberty University Studios. This is the Todd Starn Show from the Liberty University Studios. Jamie Allman, really super honored to be filling in for my friend Todd. And he will be back on the air on Monday.
So our thoughts are all with our brothers and sisters in the southeast as the hurricane starts to bear down, elevated to a category two.
Sometimes it's just not the wind part that will get you every time. And so for a look inside what is going on, especially in Gainesville, Georgia, Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida all declaring states of emergencies. Caleb Hutchins is the news director at the Below Torch There in Gainesville, WDUN. Caleb, welcome to the program. How are you, my friend?
Doing good. How's everybody up there? Doing great.
So how's everything going? How are the folks doing? What's everybody doing to prep?
Well, here in Northeast Georgia, obviously we're not kind of on the battle lines of where this thing is going to make landfall, but everybody here is trying to get prepared. We're anticipating extremely high rainfall. We've already been getting steady rainfall for about a full day, and this thing is looking, according to our local emergency officials, like it could dump upwards of ten inches of rain on us in about a thirty-six to forty-eight hour window. And then we're going to get some very high winds.
So there is a lot of thought that, yes, we could get some flash flooding up here in North Georgia, especially in the North Georgia mountains, but you could potentially have widespread power outages. We're talking about thousands and thousands of people being affected, you know, tens of thousands. if not more than that statewide.
So everybody here just trying to get prepared to potentially be without power potentially for days at a time. And that, I think, is kind of the focus at this point right now. Yes, that is interesting how sometimes even people in the path of the hurricane, it's one thing, but people on the periphery, man, it could get really bad, especially when it comes to that flooding and the power outages and everything else. Do you find that there are some people even leaving? Or are there any evacuations of any sort?
I don't think anybody here in North Georgia is evacuating. I do know that some evacuations have been declared in South Georgia, where this thing is going to be coming in just about one hundred miles away from the coast from where it makes landfalls. And folks down in the Cairo, Thomasville, even up to Albany areas are evacuating. But here in Northeast Georgia, no evacuations, just everybody kind of trying to batten down the hatches and tie everything down that might move and make sure they've got the stuff in their house to make it without power here for a few days, I think, is the main risk at this point. Yes, I'm assuming many people there, if they're of any age, have lived through some of this before.
Caleb Hutchins, news director at WDUN, thanks so much for being with us, and thank you guys for being part of the Todd Starns Radio Network, brother. Appreciate you. Uh Absolutely. Appreciate you, Jamie. All right, take care.
Hey, coming up, you're going to love this. Ten of the dumbest things. That Kamala Harris said in that interview on MSNBC, and one of the most egregious lies she told.
So, we're going to rip it all apart. Coming up here on the Todd Starn show, I am Jamie Allman, proud to be filling it. Took me the bad, sugar back, I want it accurate. Should be better. I can't believe.
Welcome to the Liberty University Studios. This is the Todd Starnes Show. Jamie Allman, really happy to be filling in for my good friend Todd Starns. He will be back. On Monday on the broadcast.
So we have 10 dumb things and one lie. Brought to you by the Stephanie Rule. MSNBC, Kamala Harris, debacle. And it was pretty much what you'd expect, and nobody except left-wing kooks. We're watching.
Well, I'm sorry, CNN was watching. Because CNN went out and absolutely fact-checked. Harris. On her claim regarding manufacturing jobs.
Well, here's what I know in terms of the facts. Donald Trump Left us with the worst economy since the Great Depression. When you look at, for example, the employment numbers. It was during COVID, and employment was so high because we shut down the government, we shut down the country. Even before the pandemic, he lost manufacturing jobs by most people's estimates, at least 200,000.
Total And complete Lie. And this was her claim before COVID is what she said, 200,000 jobs.
So the fact-checker there, Daniel Dale at CNN, and actually. In CNN's defense, sometimes they actually do pretty well Good work when it comes to fact checking.
So this guy elaborated that those four hundred and fourteen thousand manufacturing jobs. That were added during the period of january twenty seventeen when Trump took office to February twenty twenty, the month before COVID-related lockdowns began. It took Some special commala math. to come up with 200,000 As a number. In other words, she's lied.
Point blank. About this, and the lie, according to Daniel Dale. uh seemed to be intended to blur the lines. And Deflect from the fact that Kamala Harris is one half of the Biden-Harris administration. in which Bidenomics policies have Basically, seeing the average family struggle to pay their bills.
So she was just allowed to lie. when she wasn't allowed to just be plain stupid. uh along with the help of of s of Stephanie Rule.
So here's one of them.
So Rule tries to get kind of a little bit complicated in her questions. But of course Kamala Harris can't handle complications because she just doesn't have. the IQ or the intellectual muscularity to answer questions or even talk about policy. Madam Vice President, you just laid out your economic vision for the future. But still, there are lots of Americans who don't see themselves in your plans.
For those who say these policies aren't for me, What do you say to them?
Well, if you are hardworking, if you have. I Mm. the dreams and the ambitions and the aspirations of But I believe you do. You're in my plan. Yeah, you're in my plan.
I'm going to sprinkle you with my fairy dust. My Kamala Fairy Dust, because you believe. She's acting like this is like some kind of Disney movie. If you believe in me, then you become... My goals, it's like She was All right, on to another one.
This is Kamala. Calling for mass amnesty of illegal folks. There are people there that are stressed, that feel that they're at capacity. Communities around the country that have legal immigration, many have said we're at the same time.
So let me put it this way, though. Rule is actually. asking some questions That aren't really half bad. I mean, she is kind of sucking up to her. There are a couple of other examples coming up, but to a certain degree, at least she's addressing.
Kind of the opposite. View of this Pollyanna, who's running for president here. And so at least she's trying a little bit. She asks no follow-up questions, though.
So she's kind of doing her due diligence to some degree. But she really isn't asking any follow up or any any tough questions at all. She's asking one question, letting Kamala fake and dumb her way through it, and then moving on to the next one. But she's Giving it one little tiny piece of effort. That capacity.
And many feel like the government has said to them, well, adapt, sit down, be quiet, this is how it is. What would a Harris administration do for those communities who have taken in many, many legal immigrants but are at capacity?
Well, first of all. We do have a broken immigration system, and it needs to be fixed. And if we take a step back, months ago, some of the most conservative members of the United States Congress came together with others, proposed a border security bill. That would have put 1,500 new border agents on the border to help those hardworking border agents who are. You didn't need a bill, Kamala, stop.
talking about how you needed to bill. You didn't need a bill. This was a gaslighting setup by the Rhinos in the Republican Party and the Democrats. And so she's basically Dumbing her way through this again, too, and faking her way through it. The reality is, you didn't need a bill.
The president could have done anything in his power. And she is border czar could have done anything by writ And you didn't need a bill for this. Yeah, there were some funding components. That went along with it, that were stuck in the bill as kind of a poison pill.
So if you didn't go along with the overall gaslighting of the bill, you also were opposing a level of funding. And of course, Congress, the House, controls the purse strings in our great republic. We all know that. But in the end, That wasn't the biggest part of it. But it was obviously used as a cudgel.
To somehow portray Donald Trump as a guy who was kind of anti-border control, which nobody. on the planet believes. would have put more money into stemming the flow of fentanyl, which is killing. Americans around our country and devastating communities would have put more resources into our ability to prosecute transnational criminal organizations, which in my career I've prosecuted.
Okay, yeah, aside, well, mostly you just prosecuted black dudes for pot. And sent them to prison, Kamala. That's your record. And the black dudes in the US know it. But this idea that she's trying to somehow blame Donald Trump.
For a lack of action and the fentanyl crisis, everything else. Nobody on the planet believes it. Nobody. Yeah. All right, this is A question that was asked by Stephanie Rule, and people are like.
Really? I mean, we're On the brink of World War III. And this is what's being asked a candidate. For President of the United States. First one, just a fact check.
Because your opponent almost every day. There's no such thing as a little joke.
Okay, fair, fair. Because your opponent almost every day seems to be talking about this.
So I just want to ask you yes or no. At any point in your life, have you served two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun? Working out of McDonald's. Yes or no? That's it.
I have.
Okay, now the other job. But it was not a small job. Like, I did the fries. I mean, I, you know, I did. Gotcha.
So actually, you didn't actually serve two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun. You serve fries.
So, again, I'm not going to belabor this because it's such nonsense, but even when she's asked a simple question. about working at McDonald's. And then specifically whether she served the Big Mac. Which really sounds good right now, by the way. I haven't had one of those in a long time.
But anyway.
So She even lied about that because it was actually fries.
Well, no, actually, I served the fries. Oh, yeah. Did you serve the two all beef? Yes, I did. But it was the fries.
I'm like Okay, well then, no, you didn't. And it was surprising. Yeah. Oh, we're on the brink of World War III and Alma's talking about this. I know, I get it.
So She's also asked what she'll do if Republicans Don't agree. With their plan to raise taxes on American consumers. What if those mean Republicans don't agree with your plan to raise taxes on American consumers? Or you mentioned housing before, giving that extra money for a first home. If you can't raise corporate taxes, or if GOP takes control of the Senate, where do you get the money to do that?
Do you still go forward with those plans and borrow? Love it. You can't do that. And of course, this is ridiculous on its face, is why this makes the top 10 dumbest moments because you. You can't A a um You can't borrow money.
Two. Uh Ultimately, make up for you ultimately have to have Congress involved in any per string matters. That's just how it goes. But anyway, let's let. Dummy continue here.
But we're going to have to raise corporate taxes, and we're going to have to raise. We're going to have to make sure that the biggest corporations and Billionaires pay their fair share. That's just it. It's about paying their fair share. We're going to have to.
Well, I know you think that, that we have to. But that doesn't mean that you magically get the Cooperation of Republicans because you're going to whine on MSNBC. Or wherever you are, if heaven forbid you become president. We have to, though. But we have to.
It's like, no, Curly, we don't have to. Because we're not. I am not mad at anyone for achieving success. But everyone should pay their fair share and it is not right that the teachers and the firefighters that I meet every day across our country are paying a higher tax. Than the richest people in our country.
That's a lie. She didn't use secretary this time. Which is the normal lie about paying a higher rate, whatever it happens to be, or paying more. And that's an old, old lie. Here's one.
where this makes the dumb list because Just try to listen to this and see whether or not. you can figure out anything That she says. and looking holistically at the connection between that and housing, and looking holistically at the incentives we in the federal government can create for local and state governments to actually engage in planning in a holistic manner That includes prioritizing affordable housing. What did you just say?
So so this is really ultimately And then, of course, she did this holistic approach. I bet we're going to have a holistic approach. We're going to have a holistic approach. We're going to sit cross-legged on the floor and do a hookah pipe together. and have a holistic approach.
Plus, I don't even know what she's talking about there. With the transit dollars and all this kind of stuff. And again, this is what Kamala Harris does, though. Uh it's not that she's only dumb. But she is such a phony That she will just simply start making up words and stringing sentences together, knowing.
that either Stephanie Ruhl is dumber than she is. And doesn't pick up on it, or that Stephanie Ruhl is a Cinco fant and will just simply let her run roughshod. uh over the whole interview and and Ultimately, just fill it with words that aren't going to make any sense, and then they take care of it with the lower screen Chiron because one of them said on MSNBC. All right. Kamala Harris's plan.
She comes from the middle class.
So basically, the helpful MSNBC helped her through that. All right, coming up. Folks, I'm telling you, there has been a war on home schooling. For Decades. And now it's coming through the Catholic Church of all places.
And I'll detail that for you coming up here on the Todd Starn Show from the Liberty University Studios. I'm Jamie Allman, proud to be filling in for my friend Todd. Welcome back to the Todd Starn Show. Here at the Liberty University Studios, Jamie Allman here filling in for the great Todd Starns. You will be back.
On Monday, so don't worry your pretty little heads.
Alright, so hey. You all know, and many of you have homeschooled your kids or what have you. And you all know there has always been an aggression. And even to that, for a matter, and I think it's based in jealousy and envy. about home schooling and and towards home schoolers.
Somehow, because they're kind of part of some secret society. And I will tell you, I did not homeschool my children, but I will tell you that every. home schooled child I know. is one of the most polite Nicest, well put together.
Well-comported kids, I have ever seen.
So I love it.
So, this is crazy because this is coming to us from the Diocese of San Diego. And sometimes the Catholic Church hierarchy really is so aggressive towards its own people. Its own believers. that I'm s it's it's astounding. That so many people continue to have patience with it.
I'm glad they do. But it's astounding sometimes.
So, anyway, a newly issued policy in the Diocese of San Diego forbids home school groups. From using space at area parishes. And it's not just forbidding. home school groups. These are Catholic Home school groups.
These are Catholic Home school groups that the Diocese of San Diego, the Catholic Diocese of San Diego, is forbidden from using. Space at area parishes. While they are allowing parishes to rent space to non-Catholic schools. on a case-by-case basis. And Some of these Homeschooling co-op groups in the diocese were reportedly notified of the policy only days before beginning weekly classes.
So, in one case, you had a group of 40 kids. Where they had to find something else and find some other place to do their schooling. And again, these are Catholic kids, and you know why they're doing this? It's even more It's even more cynical than you'd think, but Uh they want these kids to go to Catholic schools.
Well, we're afraid that if we allow home school kids to use Our parishes Then we're undermining Catholic schools.
So, what they're trying to do is somehow. make the home schoolers, the Catholic home schoolers, so miserable And without a place to do their schooling that they're just gonna say, oh, okay, well then we give up. We're going to go to Catholic schools. That's the immaturity of so many people in the Catholic Church hierarchy believing that if they just are coercive enough. and make people miserable enough.
They possibly will get the end That they're intending. They're not going to do it. You tell these People that they can't use the parish anymore, they're going to go someplace else, but they're not going to then suddenly say, Well, we'll just go to Catholic school, I guess.
So there you go. Another story. About the continued attack on homeschoolers. All right, a congresswoman, and this is great. wanting to shore up the defense for our national politicians.
Anyway, that's what the hierarchy in the Catholic Church and I believe this happens all over the place. But homeschooling families deserve better and deserve more when it comes to Their fight to give their kids the best education they could possibly deserve. And again, as promised, A congressperson is fighting on behalf of the safety for our national politicians. We'll be on the other side of this. This is the Todd Starn Show at the Liberty University Studios, and I'm Jamie Allman, happy to be filling in.
Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's America's favorite gun totem, Bible-clanging, deplorable American. That's right. I love this American ride. Star. From the Liberty University Studios, this is indeed the Todd Starnes Show.
I'm Chamie Allman, pleased and privileged to be filling in for the great Todd Starnes, old friend of mine, just overall great guy. He is traveling right now. He was at a spiritual outreach conference there in Lancaster, California.
So he will be back with all of us on Monday. But really super happy to be filling in for him and really happy to have a Congresswoman from the 9th District in Indiana. Her name is Erin Houchin. And, you know, normally, Congresswoman Houchin. I know you're conservative, so many of us believe that when people go up to Washington, D.C., we really don't want them doing things as much as we want them undoing things.
But this is one case where you are doing something, I believe, that really helps everybody and gives, I think, this country a peace of mind, especially in the wake of the two assassination attempts on President Trump. And so now you are introducing the Perimeter Act, which is going to shore up security for our national politicians. And what a great and certainly timely idea. Also, just an aside, I want to thank you for your representation there in the ninth, since it also covers Bloomington. And my daughter graduated, my oldest daughter from IU.
So, really happy that you are a part of that district. Aaron Houchin, welcome to the show. How are you? Hey, thank you for having me, and congrats to your daughter at IU, also my alma mater.
So wonderful to have her in the district. Oh, yeah, great school, great teachers. And you know, actually, the educators there are so pleased. You know how some college campuses are full of these lefty crazies, and you can't take a class without minds being poisoned. And with few exceptions, it was overall just a great experience, as a parent, at least.
I'm really glad to hear that. I'm really glad to hear that. Yeah, IU, they do a great job. We're very proud to have that university in our district. But talking about the Perimeter Act, and we have passed a measure out of the House with bipartisan support to increase security around not just the former President and Republican nominee Donald Trump, but all of our assets.
But I filed the Perimeter Act, which Is designed because each of the last two attempts, and we hope there aren't any more on Donald Trump's life, have involved. Deficiencies in the perimeter, among other things. And so I wanted to draw specific attention to that. We allocate in this bill additional funding to Secret Service. Actually, doubling the amount that we would be giving to Secret Service because I want them to have no excuse.
to not provide the adequate and necessary protection for Donald Trump and all of our candidates and former presidents and of course the President and Vice President. We're not spending any additional money. We're pulling it from the Inflation Reduction Act, which had been designated for additional IRS agents. I think hopefully most Americans can agree that at this time, we don't need more IRS agents. We need more resources to protect our presidential candidates, especially in light of everything that we know now is coming out, the various serious threats from Iran against former President Trump.
Well, indeed. I mean, even as we see the administration cozying up to Iran and sending billions of dollars over there to a country not only that already was responsible for attacks on our troops, but ultimately admitting that they want to try to assassinate Donald Trump.
So, up against a wall here.
So, if anything, this is also a defense against what is sometimes our policy, the Biden-Harris policy as it relates to people who are directly involved in terrorism. Absolutely. In the hearing today on the Hill about the assassination attempts, the task force hearing highlighted some points that there were real security lapses in Butler, Pennsylvania, and there were perimeter lapses. I think we'll find perimeter lapses at the shooting attempt in Florida. But the hearing today highlighted that there were close to one hundred fifty to two hundred people That were within the soft perimeter outside the fence line with actually closer access.
to former President Trump in his speaking location than the actual shooter. The AGR building was not covered. Just an incredible lack of communication and lack of preparation, I would say, between Secret Service and local law enforcement there. They were just doing what they were told to do, trying to do their best. And kudos to them for getting on top of this issue as quickly as they could.
But there's no reason that President Trump should have been put on that stage knowing that there was an existing potential threat still looming in the crowd, and he was not yet neutralized. You know, I wonder whether or not. I know there have been hearings on this, and they have involved the interim head. Of the Secret Service. I wonder why Majorkas has not been the one on the hot seat since he is the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.
And of course, the Secret Service was within the past 20 years or so moved from Treasury To Homeland Security. And it seems to me that there are some questions I believe mayorcas. might be tasked with answering, in my opinion at least. I hope they do call Majorkis to testify, and I hope that he will show up. I think this is par for the course under this administration.
No one No one has been held accountable for anything, any of their failures in the Biden-Harris administration. I mean, all the way back to the tragic withdrawal in Afghanistan. No one has been held accountable for that. No one has been held accountable for allowing ten million to twenty million illegal immigrants to flood into the United States. No one has been held accountable yet in the Secret Service.
And I think we do owe the country answers from Secretary Mayorkis. But that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris aren't calling for him to to have any accountability either. And I'm wondering whether, and I'm glad you did it with the Perimeter Act. Why was it necessary in some ways? W would it be something wouldn't that be something that could be handled by writ with the Homeland Security Department, where you start to increase the numbers of agents and that kind of thing?
Is is there a reason why and is it frustrating that it did require An act of Congress. And I know that Congress handles the purse strings, I get it, but it seems to me that maybe this could have been something done. Just on their very own, but they didn't do it. That's exactly right. And that's one of the reasons that we moved forward with the Perimeter Act because in our research and figuring out, okay, why is this happening, it is up to the agencies to determine the level of security.
So and I got some pushback even from some people on the Hill that said this should be up to Secret Service and Homeland Security to determine the levels based on the threat. I think that we have to do everything in our power to ensure their protection. And there's no reason why Donald Trump should not have the same level of protection as the major political nominee for an opposing party in this election to Joe Biden. And the committee hearing today, we learned that while Jill Biden has had 12 Secret Service agents on her, there was a dramatically fewer number assigned to Donald Trump when he was the major presidential nominee for the Republican Party.
So everyone's life who is in public service at that high level ought to be protected. And these leaders must be protected at the highest level. And the Perimeter Act is designed to ensure that we are doing that, and it's not left to chance. Yeah, and I believe those staffing levels are a direct result of choices made, not by the The Secret Service Chiefs, but by Majorkis himself.
So I'm glad that you want to hear more from him. On that. And I think it's great too that this helps everybody. This isn't really a partisan. Approach you, you want everybody protected regardless of their party affiliation.
Absolutely. It's critical to the well-being of the United States of America that we don't have Our leaders subject to this level of security lapse. and that they are protected. We must ensure that. And I have great fear for what Iran plans to do, what they've been planning to do, and that those attempts will be continued.
And I quite frankly, I wish that the administration, I wish that Vice President Harris and Joe Biden would speak out more firmly against this. We've heard nothing from them with respect to the plans that Iran has actively had in place to try to assassinate the former president.
Well, yes, and when you have the DOJ specifically pointing out direct, even election interference. from Iran as it relates to hacking into Donald Trump's campaign and handing it over to Kamala Harris campaign and still not a word about this in any way, shape or form from either Harris or Biden on that. That's exactly right, and we're not even hearing much of it from the mainstream media. And that's disturbing. I hope that American the American people in November will have their eyes wide open to what another four years of Carla Harris would be.
And I do hope that we have a change in the White House this November. And considering how voraciously they attached themselves to the Russia collusion hoax when it came to Donald Trump, it's incredible how they're just basically ignoring. The Iran collusion hoax that actually, a collusion fact that actually is real. I mean, that's what's amazing to me. Yeah, and that there's like I always say when I'm out talking to constituents that these are some of the things they're doing in public.
Imagine what they're doing behind closed doors. These are the things that they're publicly saying. What are they not saying? What are they not telling us that we might might be very concerned about if we knew the full picture, and this is certainly part of that. No doubt about it.
Congresswoman Erin Houchin, thank you so much for your hard work and your due diligence to common sense conservatism. It's been an honor having you on the Todd Starn Show.
So thank you very much for joining us and the generosity of your time. Thank you for having me. All right. That is Congresswoman Aaron Houchin. All right, coming up here on the Todd Starn show.
Check this out. There is a Democrat running in a really Hot Senate race. who is refusing to endorse Kamala Harris. That's big news. I'll have it for you on the other side here.
This is the Todd Starn Show from the Liberty University Studios. I'm Jamie Allman. Really happy to be with you and filling in. This is the Todd Starn Show from the Liberty University Studios. Jamie Allman here, pleased and privileged to be filling in for the great Todd Starnes.
All right, so. We had this with Fox News. I don't understand. Why they would do this.
So President Trump is in. North Carolina And in Mint Hill, North Carolina. And he was giving a speech. And he was talking about the declining quality of furniture. And Keep in mind of all the big issues facing the country There are a lot of smaller ones that are facing American families, and it's not only in the cost of groceries and commodities, but in the cheapo quality of the things that they're spending so much money on.
And so It's interesting how Fox News thought that perhaps this was some kind of ridiculous rant. about the declining Quality of furniture, which is true. If any of you have ever had purchased furniture and you didn't purchase it whole, And you had to put it together like a coffee table or something like that. And let's say it came from China. And you're having to use the Allen wrench to put it together.
Believe me, I've been there, done that, and have the t-shirt. I happen to think. If I didn't know any better, maybe that is really ultimately China's revenge. Is the Allen Wrench furniture put together, which is exhausting? And sometimes very, very exasperating.
And Yeah, I know. Why'd you buy furniture from China?
Well, I don't know. It was cheaper. I you know, five kids had, you know.
Sometimes they need a coffee table for their room or something like that and You know, I'm not going to go and buy the most expensive thing, but nonetheless. In general, it's true that the quality of what people are spending so much money on really. Been depleted, and sometimes it's even American-made stuff.
So, President Trump starts talking about this at the rally, and this is how it went. Or, this is how it should have gone. But we didn't actually catch it in time.
So President Trump's talking about the lowering quality of furniture. And Fox News decides to cut him off. I was a big buyer. I bought a lot of things here. that there was no place in North Carolina, you were the furniture capital of the world, but now so much of that business has been stolen from you and it's made in China and other places.
And by the way, It's not as good. The quality is nowhere near. You made furniture, you bought a chair, it was good for 30 years. You buy some of these chairs that they sell you now, they break after about two months, people are laying on the floor. Suing you for giving a badge.
Then on top of it all Our government keeps them out. Then, on top of it all, you get sued because they fell out of a chair in a hotel. Boy, oh, but you made the best product, you made the best furniture. After the twin betrayals of NAFTA, which I ended, and China's entry into the WTO world trade, North Carolina lost over 300,000 manufacturing jobs quickly, including 60% of its furniture manufacturing jobs, and that number was going up until I came along. All right, well, we're going to continue to watch this.
Yeah, because Donald Trump is talking about stuff like boring stuff that peasants have to deal with.
So, John Roberts and Fox News, we're not going to have to listen to that rant. But keep in mind, this is how President Trump talks, which I love how he talks because he talks in. plain level kinds of things that affect us every day. And so the furniture quality issue is part of a larger issue, is what he's trying to say. As his North Carolina used to be one of the top manufacturers of good old-fashioned quality American-made furniture.
So he's just not complaining. about overall lack of quality of furniture. He's tying it into The demand and the desire for American-made products to bring America back to manufacturing again. But that was apparently just too boring for the people of Fox News who just don't seem to like it. When President Trump is addressing us peasants about Our Bad Yeah.
Peasant grievances, or whatever it happens to be. But again, this is why the news media, sometimes even Fox News. They miss the bigger picture. They don't seem to care about the bigger picture. They don't seem to have time about to deal with something that really is indeed really super pertinent.
This is not just President Trump rambling on, About the quality of furniture, and he's so right about how back in the day, a North Carolina manufactured chair. Would indeed last thirty years. And now these things break and they're they're just it's low quality. It's all this particle board stuff and particle wood. and all this other stuff, and it means something.
So, as much as Fox News, I think in the evening time does a pretty good job, during the daytime, they're just more of the same, and it was sad to see. All right, I want to get to this big story, and that is about a Democrat running for a hotly contested U.S. Senate seat. Who is refusing to endorse Kamala Harris? You're going to hear him on the other side of this.
This is the Todd Starnes Show. I'm Jamie Allman filling in for the great Todd Starnes. I'll be back. This is the Todd Starnes show from the Liberty University Studios. Jamie Allman, really happy to be filling in for the great Todd Starnes.
He will be back on Monday. He is traveling at a spiritual outreach conference, and he is in Lancaster, California.
So he'll be back on Monday. Really appreciate your attention to the show, regardless.
So I will tell you that right now I am privy to an article and it's making its way around the internet. about how President Trump should be running away with this thing. Why isn't he? And I would answer that pretty easily. And that is that he is.
running away with this thing. It's 2016 all over again. And people are just not talking about their support of Donald Trump necessarily. You know how it goes with the polls, where people will. Just simply stop.
Just because you know, saying that they're going to support Trump, or they don't have the Make America Great Again bumper stickers on their cars, given how violent. All the left-wing kooks are out there, it's no wonder. And so this person just gauging the national polling, I guess. and the closest of the race aren't really looking at Some of the polling coming out of the critical swing states. This is going to be a Midwestern-focused election.
These states are not up for grabs. These states are decidedly pro Trump, sometimes even by ten points. And so the polling numbers nationally don't show a true story. And all of you Pretty much know that. And you have to just look at more anecdotal evidence.
I know that there is every day a piece of video coming out, let's say, from Chicago, where a black voter goes to a city council meeting and complains about the influx of illegals and how they are now second class citizens and how they are fighting City Hall over illegal migration, but their blame for that solely rests at the national level, and the one person who is going to resolve that is President Trump.
So there is another Trump vote. I saw on TikTok the other day a woman who described herself as a lesbian white woman who says that she, too, is voting for Donald Trump for her own security and doesn't buy all the garbage about President Trump being anti-LGBTQ. Yeah, but you're just seeing it all the time with these smaller kinds of revolutions in voting blocks that normally were not seen as favorable to the Republican Party. A recent Gallup poll even showed when it comes to the economy, which is the number one issue for Americans, the Republican Party excels. And that Republican Party is now the party of Donald Trump.
Sorry, rhinos, but it is. And so in its current incarnation, this is the Trump Republican Party. And even a Gallup poll is showing people are gravitating towards Donald Trump and the Republican Party when it comes to answering some of the problems that are at top of the list when it comes to needing to be solved for American families and American voters. You also have to look at smaller types of anecdotal evidence coming from, well, Missouri, for instance.
So there is a race right now between Senator Josh Hawley, who you all know as a great rock star in many of these hearings. He is also an avid And he was a staunch supporter of Donald J. Trump. He was one of the few senators even to visit. The butler Pennsylvania Attempted assassination shooting spot for more answers.
He's been relentless in questions about anything from the assassination plot to COVID to the border and beyond. And so Hawley is a fighter, and he so far is leading in the polls in Missouri against his Democrat opponent, Lucas Kuntz.
Now, Lucas Koontz did something on national television. that is very, very unusual. It's not only a sign. That he Thinks that there's something about Kamala Harris that is going to ruin his chances of even possibly defeating Josh Hawley. But this is also a bellwether.
For how some Democrats are feeling. about whether or not Kamala Harris is actually going to be their ticket, and whether or not tying themselves to her is a wise idea.
So, Christian Welker on NBC interviews Lucas Koontz, and this is how it goes. They have gone for Republicans in recent elections.
So, just to be clear, for the record. Are you definitively able to say that you are voting for Vice President Harris? Join this race to decide who the president is or to tell other people how to decide to vote for the president. You know, it's an uphill battle for me just going around Missouri asking people to vote for me for U.S. Senate.
And you did notice. When she asked that question, the pause that you could drive a semi-truck through. And so, yeah, this is trouble. Not just for Kamala Harris. This is trouble for the Democrat Party because now you have a guy running against Josh Hawley who is acting like, well, he's obviously doing all the Democrat talking points, but he is not getting behind the top of the ticket.
No, it's an uphill battle for me just going around Missouri asking people to vote for me for U.S. Senate. So I'm focusing on that. I'm real excited to get into this office and win. And I can tell you right now, I will work with anyone and any president to bring money back to our state and do all the things that everyday people here in Missouri need.
And that includes codifying Roe versus Wade, ending the filibuster, passing the Protecting the Right to Organize Act, and many other things. You're comfortable saying you're going to support the amendment in your state. You're not going to support, or you can't say definitively here and now that you will support the Democratic nominee for president? Again, I didn't get in the race to try to decide how other people vote for president. I've gotten into this race to sell myself, to talk about what I've keep in mind earlier, he was asked if he was going to vote for her.
And he didn't answer the question. From Missouri, and I just want to stay hyper-focused on that. I want to show the contrast between me and Josh Holly, and I don't want to spend another second on anything else. And that's where we're going to be. Given what you said about Josh Hawley and Project 2025, can you say definitively you won't be voting for former President Trump?
I can tell you what, when I'm in office, I will vote against every single thing that they got in Project 2025 that takes away power from everyday people. And I'm going to make sure that Josh Holly's not in there to run his Project 2025 agenda going forward in 2025.
So he didn't answer the question again.
So, are you going to vote for Donald Trump? And I don't personally think that he will. But you notice the fact that he doesn't he can't answer that. is really incredible. coming from a Democrat running for the U.S.
Senate. So, in many ways, while Kuntz is talking a good game about codifying Roe versus Wade, all the Democrats are talking about that and other things. The idea that he really isn't tying himself to Kamala Harris and is instead actually kind of trying to de facto present himself as an independent tells you everything you know. About the faith in the outcome of the presidential election.
So there's another example. Of how this idea that Trump Should be running away with it, but isn't. Uh is actually Not true. He is running away with it. And I think this is a great example.
2025 that takes away power from everyday people. And I'm going to make sure that Josh Hawley is not in there to run his Project 2025 agenda going forward in 2025. What about former President Trump? Would you cast your ballot for him? Is there any chance you would vote for former President Trump?
Again, everybody's trying to get me to tell people how to do it. That is unbelievable. This is a Democrat running for a hotly contested Senate seat. Who Won't say, and he's only doing that on purpose, I think, but won't say. Whether or not he'll vote for Donald Trump, it's like it's not a dumb question.
And I am Christian Welker isn't letting this go. And Koontz just keeps trying to say, well, come on, you're just trying to say, got you.
So it's like, no, I'm just asking you. Are you going to vote for Donald Trump? For President Trump? Again, everybody's trying to get me to tell people how to vote in this election. I just want to know how you're going to vote.
Yeah, I mean, that's finally, Kristen, you kind of picked up on it. You know, it's the third time she's asked a direct question about who he might be voting for. And he's just simply saying, Well, I'm not going to tell people how to vote.
So she finally says, No, no, no, no. I'm asking how you are going to vote. Again, everybody's trying to get me to tell people how to vote in this election. I just want to know how you're going to vote. I just want to know how you're going to vote.
And I'm just saying, it's not my place, right? Like, in Missouri, we have protected ballots. I'm going to vote for who I'm going to vote for. And I'm going to tell you right now: I will not. In 2025, I will do everything I can to take power back for everyday Missourians.
I'll work against that. I'll codify Roe versus Wade, and I'll pass the Protecting the Right to Organize Act. All right, Lucas Christie. Thank you so much for your time. Oh, you should have kept going, dear.
Uh because this is really astounding. And to a certain degree, it might even be damaging to him, meaning some Democrats. Might actually be turned off by him, even though obviously he is. beholden to their prized issues. But I can't see how this helps him with the Democrat Party unless that's how other Democrats are feeling too.
That, well, I mean, they'll vote for Donald Trump, maybe, really? As long as they might have someone like Lucas Kuntz in the U.S. Senate, as long as they can offset it somehow. Trying to make this kind of gameplay where it's like, okay, well, I can tolerate President Trump as president since he might tackle some issues that will help me. And I will be happy as long as I have somebody in Congress.
Who will try to work on some of the other things? And people make these calculations all the time. Not many of them do, but sometimes enough of them do to make a difference.
So this is. A big deal. Coming out of Missouri and the Senate race, and again, tells you everything you need to know. About how Democrats are feeling about the top of the ticket and, indeed, even this presidential election.
So it seems to me. That we can be happy almost every day with these anecdotal. pieces of evidence that Kamala Harris Is absolutely nowhere near being a shoe-in. and probably on her way to a dramatic defeat. Another piece of anecdotal evidence is the continued registration drives this time.
Among the generation of college students, I'm going to have a really great story for you coming out of Arizona. And this is another example of the groundswell of Trump support. On a college campus where people might not have expected it. And that's all straight ad here on the Todd Star and Show from the Liberty University Studios. I'm Jamie Allman filling in.
Okay. Hello, everyone. This is the Todd Starn Show from the Liberty University Studios. Jamie Allman really has been a lot of fun filling in for the great Todd Starns. I appreciate this blessed opportunity to be here with you.
And again, prayers go out to all of our friends in the southeast as Hurricane Helene starts to. Get in on them. North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida now declaring states of emergency. And so we will continue to pray for our American brothers and sisters there in those three states and in those areas where sometimes even the direct path of the storm isn't the biggest problem. It's sometimes the offshoots of the storm.
So Hopefully everything is going to be okay. All right, to my point again. about the continued Anecdotal evidence of a groundswell of support for President Trump.
So On the campus of Arizona State University yesterday, There was a massive, massive voter registration drive. It was brought to us by Turning Point USA's Charlie Kirk and his. Huge recruitment of a variety of student groups on the University of at the Arizona State University campus, and they were all of them who were registering these voters. We're wearing MAGA hats. I mean, it was really Super cool.
And the Outpouring was just incredible. I mean, it was really amazing. Have you registered a battle? These kids were all wearing MAGA hats. Getting people to register to vote.
On the campus, there. And they were throwing out. Make America Great Again hats to people, and it was a sea of Make America Great Again hat wearers on the campus of Arizona State University, which really isn't necessarily a university that you would. C as being a Guys, register to vote? We'll read the university by any stretch.
Register to vote here in Arizona. Who's from California? That's Charlie Kirk, who is helping to register a lot of these kids to vote. And what's incredible, by the way, and I am proud to say, I knew about this. The incident happened.
Because My son Aiden attends Arizona State University. Turned twenty Yesterday. Happy birthday to him. And was part of the C Of MAGA hat wearing kids who were. Registering kids to vote.
Wearing the magnets. He's a member of a fraternity there, and so he was part of this whole. Configuration, and so very super proud of him. And he is my youngest son, and he's just a great kid, and he and his buddies. And all of his friends, sororities also were all out there in force registering people to vote.
But of course, you know what happened, though, right? All the ASU campus snowflakes. were Just going out on X and complaining and clutching their pearls about it. Made my stomach turn a little. To think I almost went to school there, some people said.
And the People who were there were like, where did all these MAGA hats come from?
Well, they're selling them on the campus and also giving them out. And again, this is not a traditionally red campus. You're not seeing some of the nutsoid pro-Hamas rallies and things like that on the Arizona State University campus. Most of these kids, if anything, some of them. are either agnostic Or they just really aren't very vocal about where they stand.
So it has never been a political campus one way or the other. But to see this groundswell of young people. registering each other to vote. When the time comes, or whatever, when the time comes, or whatever, is nothing short of amazing. And it's the first time.
that has ever happened. on the campus there. And Much to the credit, I guess, of the left wing loons, even the left-wing loons on the ASU campus aren't stupid enough To start fights or to throw rocks or do something like that, and that tells you a lot about the sensibilities of some of our young people, too.
So, there's a lot of reason to. to have a lot of hope. For the future, not only in terms of voters in voting blocks that traditionally were not necessarily. Big-time Republican or Trump supporters, but certainly among our youth.
So I'm hoping that I'm leaving you with something really. to feel good about As we head into the 2024 election, just now. 40-something days away. And so, to me, it's going to be a good one. And it has been a good one to be with you.
With the honor of filling in for the great Todd Starnes. He will be back on Monday. So, this is Jamie Allman. Saying thank you for your time and hope you have a blessed rest of your week. Thank you so much.
