The FISA Act and Patriot Act are being reauthorized without broad restrictions on the FBI's use of surveillance tools, sparking concerns about government overreach and abuse of power. Critics argue that the FISA court is being used to spy on Americans without warrants, and that the Patriot Act renewal is a threat to civil liberties.

Welcome to the Todd Starn Show sponsored by Legacy Precious Metals. There's never been a better time to invest in precious metals. Visit LegacyPM Investments dot com. That's legacypminvestments. com.

Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's America's favorite gun totem, Bible-clanging, deplorable American. That's right. I love this American ride. Todd Starns. Oh, yeah.

Good afternoon, everybody. This is the Todd Starn Show. I am Jamie Allman, pleased and privileged to be filling in for my old friend Todd. Love that guy and loved him for a long time back in the day on the radio show. I remember he was Fox News Radio, and I heard him for the first time doing one of his reports.

And there's no better writer There's no better guy who taps into the soul of America's heartland than the great Todd Starn.

So it really is a privilege to be with you this afternoon. This is a fancy open line Friday for all of you.

So that means you can call on in, and it doesn't matter what you want to talk about.

Well, within. within reason, of course. 901-729-9176. 901-729-9176 is the phone number for you to call in on this open line Friday. Again, Jamie Allman, really happy to be with you and also happy to report that the geniuses On the left.

Have discovered a brand new way. A brand new way to eradicate racism in this country. Is it?

Well, let's see if we come up with some better economic policies to level the playing field, give minorities a better piece of the pie. Let's get rid of this victimization education in schools and in the whole corporate world. Let's get rid of all that. No, they have a different plan. Their plan apparently includes cargo ships slamming into bridges named after slaveholders.

That's going to be their plan, I guess, from here on out. happy to see how distracted they are. This was entirely completely and totally predictable. We knew that once the Francis Scott Key Bridge was destroyed, and I'm not laughing at the fact that the bridge is destroyed, I'm laughing at the fact that these people are so predictable. The minute this thing sunk into the water, I said, there goes the Francis Scott Key Bridge forever.

Not one time did anybody ever ask, well, hey, uh Are you going to rename it the Francis Scott Keybridge? You notice that Buddha Judge and the rest of the gang avoided that question like the plague. And so now there is an activist group out there. Uh this is right there in Baltimore, Maryland. Who say that we are totally against renaming this bridge the Francis Scott Key Bridge?

And maybe we could actually can come up with some other. thing like the Representative Perrin J. Mitchell Bridge. The first black Marylander to be elected to the U.S. House of Representatives.

Of course, you saw the writing on the wall because the Washington Post was doing stories. About how controversial a figure Francis Scott Key is. Most people who are singing the Star Spangled Banner, including black people, at sporting events, at school events and beyond. Know who wrote it. but don't really care about this guy's history, but The Black activists are deciding this is going to be their revenge since they can't poke through.

on any other level. And they're noticing that in a Wall Street Journal poll. This Wall Street Journal poll is is nothing short of shocking to the Democrats. And it indicates that black men more than anybody in the black community is basically abandoning Democrats and abandoning Joe Biden.

So here's a little example. While most black men said they intend to support Biden, some thirty percent said they were either definitely or probably going to vote For Trump.

Now There would Isn't necessarily a swing-state comparison. According to the Wall Street Journal, But in 2020. Trump only received votes from 12%. a black men nationwide that year. And that was recorded by ABC Votecast.

The numbers are there. The writing is on the wall. It's all about the economy. It's not about renaming bridges or Tearing down statues or convincing black children that white people are racist in our schools. And it's not even working.

In the DEI movement, in corporations and beyond, it just isn't working. The only true way ultimately to make everybody happy. Whether or not there was slavery in the past or not. is to make everybody happy. And Donald Trump made everybody happy.

With his economic plans, with the fact that he made us oil independent. With the fact that he stopped sending American soldiers to die for oil? The fact that he leveled the playing field in the corporate world even? With blacks having access to more jobs than he've ever had before. With the refocus on trades, with the refocus on community banks.

I mean, you name it. Black people Black women, black men, Hispanics, minorities, white people are all starting to get the drift here. As they go to the grocery store and as they go to the gas pump, And they see the crime on the streets, it just is it's intolerable. And People are finally starting to get it.

So Let's let these people stay distracted with their renaming of bridges and everything else because they're missing the point. And the Wall Street Journal poll clearly indicates that. Here's somebody else who's missing the point. This is the mayor of. Dalton, Illinois.

Your name is Tiffany Henyard.

Now she was basically caught Basically using taxpayer funds. to pay for these lavish trips. First class tickets. A one million dollar giveaway. And a two hundred and eighty seven thousand dollar a year salary.

So this is a predominantly black community. And she decides that she's going to go in front Of the black community that she serves. and actually tried to play the race card. If you could believe that. That's how crazy.

Some of these black activists are. Y'all are black, and y'all are sitting up here beating and attacking on a black woman that's in power. By the way. She's talking to black people.

So she's accusing black people. of beating up on black people, of being racist. Dalton's difficulties got worse in recent weeks with water main breaks, Henry blames on trustee budget cuts. Yeah, well, anyway. Then she went before the community again, this time as she slowly but surely started sinking in the quicksand of her corruption.

And this is at a community meeting. And this is where the crowd itself, mostly black people, erupted with one large BS Ovation. We here to help each other, not hurt each other, and it's a shame that us, us, I'm talking to my black and brown communities, was still here. It's a shame that you do this.

So Even black people are just Sick and tired. of all of this nonsense, this race baiting nonsense and everything else. And most black people understand, minorities understand that renaming a bridge is not going to solve their problems. It's not going to reduce the price of a gallon of gas. It's not going to allow them access to a bigger piece of the American pie.

It's not going to educate their children in the way they should be educated. It's not going to give them school choice, none of that stuff. And yet, that's what they're focusing on there in Baltimore, Maryland. Again, you know, this is an open line Friday, so I'd love to hear from you. 901.

2605926 and Joe from Georgia. Is on line one. Joe, happy afternoon to you. How you doing? Thank you very much.

Love the show. Todd does a great job. I think he'll do a great job today. I just want to say that I just purchased some Trump stock. I'm strongly for him, and I want to predict to you that Trump will, in my opinion, have a landslide win in America and a landslide win in Georgia.

So we're really fired up. I'm working extremely hard for Trump. And I think the Todd Starn show will be one big reason why Trump has a landslide victory.

So we're fired up down here in Georgia. And I predict my county, I'm in LAJ, but our county's Gilmer. I predict we'll go 85% for Trump. I I have no doubt about it. And even when you look at some of the inner cities, if you want to talk about inner city populations in that Wall Street Journal poll, Joe, you had 30% of black men saying they're voting for Trump.

That's triple. What it was in 2020. I don't think there's any amount of Of election fraud that can overcome that kind of vote total. I really don't. I'm optimistic about that.

I agree with you a hundred percent. You are exactly right, my friend. I thought that was going to be the case in 2020, but it turned out not to be, at least as far as the people are claiming it is. But it's an insurmountable Landslide, and I'm with you, Joe. And I'm glad those folks in Georgia, along with you, are also on the trade.

And congratulations for making an extra buck or two. Have a great day. You're doing a great job. Thank you. You too, my friend.

I appreciate that very much. That's Joe, 901-260-5926. Coming up, folks. You think he was all Dr. Fauci, right?

who really did absolutely betray this country. betray our children caused numerous deaths and go against every policy initiative that President Trump had As it relates to his intended response to COVID.

Well, coming up next on the Todd Starn show. There was a new documentary out. That is showing actually it was Scarf Lady. Who is also to blame? You know, she's kind of getting away with murder here because she was just the nice old scarf lady, Dr.

Burks. Turns out she's a lot more dastardly. Than you'd ever imagine. I'm Jamie Allman, privileged to be with you this afternoon, filling in for the great Todd Starnes on the Todd Starnes Show. Todd Starrens is going to be back on Monday. He was just in Wichita last night with our affiliate KQAM to promote his new book, Twilight's Last Gleaming. And so he is going to be back on Monday.

So he'll be happy to be back with you on Monday. And I'm privileged to be filling in for him. This is an open line Friday for all of you, as all Fridays are on the Todd Starn show. 901-260-5926. 901-260-5926 is the call-in number.

And all bets are off in terms of limitations.

Well, I mean, you guys know. Within reason. Just give me a shout. Let me know how you're feeling about President Trump. Let me know how you're feeling about those numbers.

Let me know how you're feeling about the continued culture wars and that team that was denied the ability, the line dancing team. They couldn't wear their Star Spangled Banner T-shirts at the line dancing contest in Seattle. Because the flag would trigger.

Some of the other contestants. There really is not a whole lot of space. In heaven for people who actually just can't tolerate. The colors. of the American flag.

And I think a lot of that is just because they're taught that. in schools, that's the result. of all of the Idiot educators. Who have decided they've lost, for instance, in the polling, as you can see with the Wall Street Journal, they've lost. the ability to actually trick Minorities into voting for Democrats anymore.

Because The Democrats aren't doing anything. help them. Help their families. help resolve crime in their communities. whatever, they've done nothing for them.

So the fact that they've lost a whole generation of people. To their continued race baiting and lies means they have to kind of re-educate a whole new generation of people to believe. That they are somehow victims. their entire lives, even though they're in sixth grade for Cry It Out Loud. That's what they're doing.

They're also doing that with the open borders. It doesn't hurt to have millions of people coming in here who are smooshy brains that you can trick into being the new victims. And you can see that actually all throughout. The inner cities. Where once again black citizens Are faced with this Prospect of being second-class citizens again, this time to illegal aliens.

And you can see the revolt going on in Chicago. In New York. in any inner city. They're just tired of being Second-class citizens all the time, and Democrats will do it no matter what, while at the same time telling them. That Democrat policies Are going to be the way to go and their source of freedom.

They're starting to get. to get it finally. You know the Democrats always love the idea of the rec center. And Whenever there is a crime problem, or whenever there's a problem in the inner city, They always decide that they're going to throw together a Rec Center. Maybe, maybe so.

Well, maybe the black kids, all they need to do is play basketball. And then they won't be committing crimes.

Well, of course, we all know that's a complete and total lie. It's a complete and total fabrication. Much like it is.

Well, maybe if we just rename the Francis Scott Key Bridge, everybody will be much happier. We won't have the kind of crime we have. But that's the kind of lie Collectively, that the Democrat Party and the Liberals will try to lay on black Americans and other minorities. And guess what the rec centers are being used for now, for instance, in Chicago? They're being used to house Illegal aliens.

That's the kind of respect that these individuals get. One of the things that really was terrifying for all communities. was COVID. And it was terrifying mostly because of the way. The administration I'm talking about the deep state and the news media terrorize citizens over COVID.

So we had this this documentary out. And This is not about Dr. Fauci, but about Dr. Burks. You ought to check it out.

It wasn't Fauci. How the Deep State Really Played Trump. It's a mini documentary by Good Kid Productions. The only thing I have that is really not something I agree with. is their tendency to absolve Fauci in some way, shape, or form.

No, I think it was all of them. Fauci Marie. Mike Pence and Dr. Burks. You do remarf lady who always came across as a nice little old, oh, I'm the age in Africa lady and Believe me, I'm the one.

You remember what Trump said at the very beginning by sustained isolation. And he turns against the shutdowns. We're not doing any more shutdowns. We did the shutdown, and now we're doing the opening, and there won't be any more shutdowns. Yeah, that was right at the very outset.

But at the same time, what we didn't realize Was it Dr. Burks? With the help of Mike Pence, was flying around the country. Urging shutdowns of schools. and everything else.

I've talked to people who say They're not going to vote for Trump. Because they still can't forgive him. Over the COVID response.

Well, I got news for you guys who are still holding out. Trump's COVID response. Was right there. It was no shutdowns. At the same time, Burks, Pence, Fauci, and all the other ones who wanted to destroy his administration.

And get rid of him in some way, shape, or form, we're undermining him the entire time. Zero deaths. I think our goal should be zero hospitalizations and zero deaths. I don't accept less. I am not a less acceptor.

Yeah, well, right. In the meantime, we were the ones. involved in his boondockle and still paying for it. It's called It Wasn't Fauci, How the Deep State Really Played Trump. This is the Todd Starnes Show, and I'm Jamie Allman, pleased and privileged to be filling in today.

Fancy Friday to all of you. It's Jamie Allman here filling in for the great Todd Starnes. Todd Starnes. Of course, and Todd will be back on Monday. He is on his book tour, and we'll talk more about that in just a little bit.

Really happy to be with you and happy to have yet another book. Great. Friend of mine On the show with me right now, his name is Judge Andrew Nepalitano, judgingfreedom.com. And of course, you can also check him out at judgnapp.com. And there's no better guy with an eye on exactly what the Constitution means than my friends, Judge Andrew Nepalitano.

Good afternoon, my buddy. How are you doing? Thanks for being with me. Jamie, Jamie, I'm fine. What a pleasure to be on with you.

But Todd Starnes, of course, is a longtime friend of mine as well. We worked together at Fox for probably 15 or 20 years. But your voice. Just makes me so happy, my man. As does yours.

And we're so glad that our mutual friend Todd Starnes was able to bring us together on this Friday afternoon. I really appreciate you. You and I have talked in the past about FISA. And we know that FISA does let's just clear this away. quickly, and that is that FISA predates the Patriot Act, correct?

Yes, FISA is nineteen seventy eight. The Patriot Act is two thousand one.

So the still, there are questions about its efficacy at this point. And obviously it's misuse. And clearly, it's starting to worm its way through Congress with some rather tepid fight. fight back from conservatives, which is a little bit surprising to me. Uh Well, uh I watched uh some of the debate this morning and I haven't seen the final roll call, but it appears as though the amendment offered by Congressman Biggs.

a long-time friend of mine will fail. But the debate is basically libertarian Republicans and progressive Democrats.

So you had Jackson Lee and Jerry Nadler on the same side as Mike Roy and Andy Biggs. These are people that rarely agree on anything, but libertarians and progressives. agree that the FBI cannot be trusted with the Constitution in its hands.

Now here's what the debate is in a nutshell. Section seven hundred two of the Pfizer Act, which expires a week from today on april nineteenth, because it has a sunset clause in it. Allows federal agents to spy on foreign persons and the Americans with whom they communicate without search warrants. The problem is the and the Americans with whom they communicate because the Fourth Amendment. protects the rights of Americans and requires a search warrant.

The big government types in both parties, which unfortunately is a majority and includes. Speaker Johnson. And uh Minority leader in the Senate, McConnell, and the President. Uh trust the FBI. Only to listen.

To foreigners.

Now, if you're listening to a phone call between two people, how can you listen to just one voice? It doesn't make any sense. And there's no threshold, meaning there's no requirement. A probable cause or even articulable suspicion.

So, if I call my cousin in Florence, Italy. or an art dealer in London. Because I'm talking to a foreign person, the FBI can surveil Can take down, can listen to, can monitor, can have a record of every word and every time I breathe in that conversation. They are not supposed to. Listen to my end.

And they are not supposed to listen to the people that I talk to, even though it'll have nothing to do with my cousin or the bookseller. But in twenty twenty three, They did this. two hundred and seventy eight thousand times. Can these big government Republicans and Democrats think the FBI can be trusted. It absolutely can't be trusted.

These protections are baked into the Fourth Amendment, the FBI and the CIA. which is not supposed to spy in the United States on anyone. The NSA, which are our domestic spies, there's fifty thousand of them that capture everything we say. They complain that getting a search warrant is too difficult. Too bad.

It was intended to be difficult. The difficulty of getting the search warrant. forces the government to focus on people that are dangerous. By forcing them to have suspicion and probable cause to present to a judge who reviews this, and then the judge decides whether or not you can capture the keystrokes and listen to their conversation.

So, this is too much work. Um Chris Ray told Senator Mike Lee. And Mike Lee looked at him and said, Director Wray, you're in the wrong business. If you're getting a search warrant is too much work for you, leave the FBI. It's too much you're in the wrong business.

That's where we stand today. There's only a few people, libertarians and progressives, in the Congress Who understand what the Fourth Amendment means. But I will tell you somebody who's not in the Congress. who understands what the Fourth Amendment means. And who t who texted in capital letters last night, kill Fiza.

Donald Trump. Yes. victimized by these very authorities when he was candidate Trump, and he understands that. I'll tell you a funny story. I may have told you this before.

Five years ago when this thing was up for uh sunset last time around. He was the president. I was still at Fox. I looked in the camera. At 6:30 in the morning, I'm Fox and Trump.

So I said, Mr. President, I don't know if you're awake. I don't know if you're listening. But there's a document on your desk and you've got to veto it. What's the extension of FISA?

And I went through the various reasons. Ten minutes later, he tweets. Just heard Judge Snapp on S and F, Fox and Friends. vetoing Pfizer extension. within an hour.

Paul Ryan. Mike Pence, Mitch McConnell rushed to his office. And he said, Well, the Paul Tanner says the Portuguese doesn't allow it. And guess what? One of them, I won't tell you who said him.

Oh, the judge thinks the Constitution means what it says, but we know better. And then he sent a message to me.

Sorry, Judge, they twisted my arm. I don't think it will happen the next time. This one they're voting on today only has a shelf life of two years if he's elected president. Two years from now when they want to extend it again, he'll be to it. Yeah, there's no question about it.

And it does seem to me, because you told me this one time, a long time ago, regarding the dirty little secret about FISA and about the deep state. And that is that this FISA court is really only valuable to much of the deep state to spy. on people in the US government. They were caught, obviously, with Donald Trump. even though the F in Pfizer is the word foreign.

Yes. So the dirty little secret is that Pfizer is a fig leaf. Isaac gives cover to these people. They really spy on everybody all the time anyway. Whether they get a FISA warrant or not.

The only advantage to getting the warrant is. It allows them to use what they acquire from their spying in a federal criminal prosecution. But but the most of the spying that they do is without a warrant. And can't be used in a federal criminal prosecution.

So if they're spying on a Janeger In the basement of the Russian embassy in Washington. who turns out to be a colonel. uh in the SSB. That's the successor to the KGB. And he's passing American military secrets on uh on to Moscow.

Well, they can arrest them on the spot, and the information they get from the search warrant. is uh the r the information that they uh acquire from a Pfizer warrant is usable. But if there's no warrant, And it turns out this guy's also beating his wife. They cannot use that information in a prosecution for domestic violence. And you may say, look, the guy's a spy.

What do we care about him beating us? That's not the point. The point is Illegal spying is rampant. Illegal spying to acquire evidence in a criminal prosecution doesn't work. And that's when the FBI comes in and then concocts.

some some subterfuge as to how they got the uh evidence. It's a it's a destruction of the system, Jamie. Uh and it's perpetuated By people who don't care about the Constitution. Listening to that debate this morning, my stomach was turned. listening to Mike Turner.

who's the Republican chair of the House. intelligence committee. He's in favor of all spying all the time. Um Sometime, someday this spying is going to be turned on him and his children and his family, and he'll regret everything he didn't say this morning. That is incredible.

Judge Zapolitano, would you mind hanging on? Do you have any time at all to hang on? Because I have about 10 minutes. I have another commitment at 55 after the hour.

Okay, good. I can take care of that. I can cover that spread, my friend, if you don't mind. Because I have to take care of the brain camera. I like the way you said that, Jamie.

Cover the spread. I've got Todd Starn's language. Oh, and I don't even gamble.

So, I mean, what do I know? I just hear somebody say that, and I think that sounds cool.

So, there we go. Judge Napolitano, judging freedom, judgeknapp.com. I'll come back because I have an important question for you about actually the number of foreign criminals. Criminal prosecutions that have occurred a result of FISA, and then on to the Patriot Act. But thanks for holding on.

This is Jamie Allman, pleased and privileged, proud to be filling in for my friend Todd Starnes on the Todd Starnes Show. This is the Todd Starnes Show. Happy Friday to all of you. Jamie Allman, pleased to be filling in for Todd Starnes, and he has brought us together again, Judge Nepalitano, judgenap.com. The judge is going to turn into a pumpkin in about five minutes.

So I want to make sure that we get all of this in. And then your calls are welcome. 901-260-5926. Judge Napolitano, you know, it's interesting. It doesn't seem like any surprise that in the week running up to some of this FISA debate, there was Christopher Wray warning about an impending terrorist attack.

This happens all the time when things like this happen. Even when the Patriot Act renewal was happening, they're suddenly all hearing all this chirping about impending terrorist attacks. And again, I'm afraid of terrorist attacks, and I want the authorities to be able to get down to it. as much as they possibly can. But it seems like there still is this kind of oldness about the whole FISA court and Patriot Act that actually has turned out to be.

Well, any time you hear about FISA, it's usually associated with an American. Has there ever been a case Where some foreigner has been uh criminally prosecuted with the assistance of the FISA Act. I mean recently.

Well, if there if there is, we don't uh we don't know about it. Um You see the standard for obtaining a FISA warrant. This is another unconstitutional aspect. is probable cause of communicating with a foreign person So again, if I call my cousins in Florence or a bookseller in London, They can spy on me. The standard under the Constitution, it's probable cause of crime.

So, if in that phone call it turns out that I'm doing something that's a people listening think is a federal crime. They have to go and get a surveillance warrant. from an Article three judge, not from a FISA judge. and hope that I incriminate myself again.

So what they learn under Pfizer is enough to kick a foreign spy out of the country. It is not enough to prosecute someone. But we know that the government has engaged in what's called parallel construction. meaning they learn of criminal behavior under FISA or without Pfizer, just from their general non-FISA authorized spying. How can they uh deceive a federal judge into believing That they captured this information lawfully.

They got to construct some.

Some cockamame situation. They've perfected the way of doing it.

So the Prosecutor in the courtroom in front of the judge. Does not know. that the information he's presenting to the judge is deceptive and illicit. Otherwise, he'd lose his license. They involve a series of federal agents and federal prosecutors who don't know each other.

So the prosecutor presenting the evidence saying You know, we saw this in plain sight. Does not know that the plane site was based on an illegal spying. He doesn't even know who the FBI agent was that did the spying or the NSA agent. The fact that perfected, I wrote a piece about this once. The professor perfected the art of what's called parallel construction.

The crafting of an artificial basis for obtaining the evidence.

so as to meet the standards for criminal prosecution. Terrible. It's terrible. And a whole jam thanks to George W. Bush.

starting in two thousand, a whole generation of federal agents has been raised believing they can cheat and cut corners on the Fourth Amendment. Yes, I mean, with the help and the wave of Republicans, which is hugely disappointing, these Republicans who actually are not conservative.

So. Judge Napolitano, it's been a pleasure talking to you. Judging Freedom, you guys, is a great channel. All you have to do is subscribe to it, and you'll get notified every time the judge and his amazing experts are on, which is usually all throughout the day.

So, really appreciate your insight, and you are a sage, my friend, and a good friend, too.

So, thank you very much. Jamie, I'm off to a traditional Latin Mass right now. Nice. All right. Say a prayer for me, my friend.

And all of us and the country for all right. God love you too. That is Judge Andrew DiPalitano, judgenap.com, and judging freedom. Your phone calls are welcome. I'll take them on the other side of this hour because, after all, it is Open Line Friday, 901-260-5926.

That is 901-260-5926. I would absolutely love to hear from you. And you know this, right? Americans have had enough of supporting companies that hate our values.

So if you're tired of compromises, like you see in the Republican Party sometimes, It's time to switch to Patriot Mobile, America's only critical. Christian conservative wireless provider. And aiding and abetting some kind of election overturning, he has a very unusual ally. And he's very public about it and says, actually, he was interviewed by the mainstream media.

And they were shocked at what came out of his mouth.

So I'll have that for you coming up here on the Todd Starn Show. Is Jamie Allman pleased and privileged to be filling in for the great Todd Starnes, the Todd Starnes Show, ToddStarnes.com? Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's common sense conservative commentary from Todd Star Satz. That's right. I love this American ride.

And a good afternoon to you. Happy Friday, everybody. This is the Todd Starn Show, and I am Jamie Allman, pleased and privileged. Honored indeed to be filling in for my old friend Todd Starnes. Tond is traveling back now from Wichita last night.

He had a rockin' time at our affiliate KQAM in Wichita. To promote his new book, Twilight's Last Gleaming. And so he will be back on Monday. And the book is amazing, a great read, and I would not be surprised. If it winds up right there at the top.

Of the New York Times bestseller list. He absolutely deserves it, and all the accolades he could possibly receive from that. I want to double back real quickly before I get to Jeff from the great state of Georgia. Earlier uh in the show, I Didn't spend a whole lot of time on this, but I probably should have, but just, you know, have a lot to talk about. And there's this there's this YouTube documentary.

It's a mini documentary. by Good Kid Productions. And it's really fascinating to me because back during the days of COVID, And you remember these briefings? And I really wish President Trump didn't hold these briefings every day, but you know what? The guy has a good heart.

He felt like he needed to be out in front of the people. People were clamoring for answers. And of course, the news media was terrorizing and terrifying everybody on the planet. And so President Trump wanted to be the leader. And wanted to be there, wanted to be the face, wanted to be able to be there to calm people's fears or tell people that, hey, This isn't going to happen.

Our reaction can't be worse than COVID. No shutdowns, no shutdowns, no shutdowns. But in the meantime, Dr. Fauci was standing there. Pence was standing there, and there was sweet little old scarf lady, Doctor Burks.

Now, she was the one who really was kind of seemingly on the sidelines, and she always had this happy face, and she was the AIDS in Africa lady, you know, who solved AIDS or whatever else. And She was the one who, like, Fauci had a more sinister appearance to him. But Scarf Lady, who came out right out of 1977, kind of had a different kind of vibe about her. And people trusted her. This documentary shows that she was maybe even worse than Fauci, although I don't let him off the hook.

That she was maybe even worse than Fauci in her betrayal. President Trump's Policies. His policies were no shutdowns. She was using Air Force Two. Which, of course, is used by Mike Pets to fly crisscrossing around the country.

urging shutdowns, urging school shutdowns. President Trump didn't know that her real policy was basically the same policy had. in Africa. Third. Get to zero cases at any cost.

You start with that zero, as we did with HIV: zero new infections, zero deaths. I think our goal should be zero hospitalizations and zero deaths. I don't accept less. I am not a less acceptor. She was the one who also was behind all the CDC recommendations.

So it was Dr. Burks who was leading the CDC recommendations. And check this out in this actual documentary.

Some of the people say that, you know what, we counted on the fact that Trump's people. weren't reading the entire document Which you could maybe say, well, it's his fault. It's not really. And so they placed all their edicts way, way down in their Papers So that most people even miss them.

So all the time President Trump Was the no shutdown, we're not going to do this, and we're going to fight this, and we're going to keep things open, and our reaction can't be worse than COVID itself. Pence. Dr. Burks and Fauci were all betraying him. And I think we all understand why.

Is they felt like this was an opportunity. to destroy Trump's presidency. And I have no doubt that Pence uh was all part of that. Jeff is on line one in Georgia coming to us Oh, uh hey, how you doing? Jeff dropped.

Well, I th I was going to have Jeff talk to me a little bit about COVID here, but that's really but that's really the essence of what was ultimately behind this whole push. And it did, in fact, do the job intended to do. James, line one: good morning or afternoon. How are you doing, my friend? We doing good.

What about you? I'm doing perfectly, man. I'm happy to be filling in for Todd.

So honored to be with you. Oh, yes, thank you. I like that conversation you had with the gentleman earlier. But there's one thing about Pfizer. then I'm gonna go to COVID.

Nobody went to the area. I mean, I Jonald Trump said it from the beginning. They spied on me. They thought he was crazy as hell. But nobody went to jail and they knew.

that they did wrong. That's the whole idea with all this stuff that happened doing Trump. Nobody went to jail about the Russia Russells. Three years. Nobody going to just you know what they got?

Book deals and everything. Oh, yeah. Oh yeah. But let me get back to this. That's why I like with Vic, because he said he wants to shut down all these agencies, the CDs, CD, because they all working for somebody else.

And the thing about it that that this Phillips is paying for this stupidity. But the government came in and told us we couldn't do this, we couldn't do that. How did that happen like that? that you had other people Thank you. They wrong.

And then you had those people getting whitewashed and you had the good son going out there wanting to fight somebody. That didn't have a mask on. They want to fright somebody that didn't go with the stick speak thing. But when they came along with the idea that a mass is going to prevent a virus from entering you. I said, that's insane.

I said, oh, this is a big thing, it's a big show. Teachers got rich, they spent all this money. But the whole thing about it, the people don't act like they upset at all about what went down. Most of the business that failed was small businesses. And they were mostly black people, white folks that was small businesses just getting to go.

So when you start telling somebody, A good piss, he was a good Christian, too. One, that's got people in America. That money don't like Trump. 'Cause Trump is may be a Christian, but he may not be a good one 'cause he gets only a case. Let them know who they are.

He recognized them. He said, Why get mad at me? Because I ain't paying. I don't want to pay no taxes either. Because look what they're doing with the money.

I mean America citizens are Well James, tech technically, I mean it's it's not A secret. That most of us spend a lot of time trying to avoid. paying taxes that we don't want to pay. We we want to do it legally, obviously. But speaking of taxes, I mean, to me, it's a badge of Euro-Americanism to want to pay as few taxes as you possibly can.

I think that's a great thing, not a bad thing. Yeah. And what they do with the money. America the southern need to wake up and Donald Trump is like a good example. for makeup.

He exposing all this hypocrisy. 'Cause we I didn't when I was growing up, we knew about something was going on. With the government. The government ain't your friend. I don't care if they send you a check for Social Security.

I'm a veteran, I guess, but the government is not your friend. The government wants to wrap you around your hand and be dependent on him. And it's just not crew. This is a guy named Nikil Krukyev. He was a premier.

Most folks don't even know what to tell me. He was a premier of Russia back in my day. Kick ass to the UAE. New York said it now. We pay for all the equipment.

Beat only took his shoe off and beat over the table and said, We gonna bury y'all. And we sure go along with KruCare, so we're buried outside with this foolish conversation about transient and stuff that's happening in this country. And I don't know why we ain't scared. Eat carriage. You got people don't like Americans.

They don't like to get the poets call that America is doing better than most folks. All over the world. They don't like that. Yeah. Well, and we're doing worse now.

James, I appreciate you calling the show. I appreciate you listening to the Todd Starn Show. And Godspeed to you, and thank you for standing up for all of us here on the Todd Starn Show. Because he's right. I mean, he covered a lot of ground there.

But the overreaching headline on that And I hope this doesn't come across as being sacrilege. But the fact of the matter is Donald Trump was in many ways Our political Moses. He freed us from these previously confining thoughts about: well, we have to have free trade. Not realizing, of course, as he told us, well, it's not free if it's not fair. Right.

Yeah, you're right. And we have to protect our oil fields over in the Middle East. And Trump was like Yeah, but We wouldn't have to do that. If we actually were oil independent, Like You're right. Why do you think Bush didn't do that for so many years?

And every time there was some kind of skirmish over there, we'd send troops over there. I'll never forget when Saudi Arabia I think Iran bombed Saudi Arabian oil fields And Trump came out and said, Hey, You guys notice what's not happening? Like Yeah, you're right. We didn't send troops over there. To protect Saudi Arabian oil fields.

Of course, you know, the military-industrial complex and all the deep state and all the political structure couldn't stand the fact. That President Trump was releasing us from the shackles of predisposed views. About Our government. And our dependency. on our government.

And it's crazy. But true. The fact of the matter is We were tricked into believing so many. different things and so many different Presupposition. Should I just talk to Judge Sapolitano about the FISA Act and beyond.

And we all know that we were so crippled. By the fear. Yeah. A Terrorist attack. that we gave up so much of our freedom.

Just for that security. And now, guess what? We really don't have any security. Because the government's turning those security forces and investigations on us. It goes on down the line.

They also, in my opinion, Well Uh stole the selection. and they could do it under the auspices of COVID. which was designed for a number of reasons and the one of the main Things that came out Of the whole COVID scare and the nonsense was mail-in voting. And that helped crazy. create so many votes that really weren't there.

And I'll tell you one thing, there's one guy out there Who is very public now. And he's a very unlikely ally of President Trump on this matter. He was on T V yesterday. And he tells a story about how he wowed a Ditzy news anchor With the facts and reality about what real election denial is.

So, I'm going to have that for you on the other side of this. This is Open Line Friday.

So, you heard James, everybody else.

So, you call in too if you want to, 901-260-5926. 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Starn Show, and I'm Jamie Allman. We'll be back. Good afternoon, and happy Friday to all of you and yours.

This is the Todd Star and Show, and I'm an old friend of Todd's, Jamie Allman, filling in for Todd. I'm really privileged to be doing so. And thanks for the chance. Todd Stars, to be with all of your amazing listeners all across the country, I'd love to hear from you, 901. 260-5926, 901-260-5926.

It's Open Line Friday, people.

So that means anything you want to talk about within reason, you can talk about. Hey, can I get this just really briefly off my chest? Because I want to get to. the president Trump defense in the mainstream media by an unlikely ally. But speaking of the mainstream media, I really was very, very offended by this.

Because in my realm, and probably in yours too, You don't mess with Gene Hackman. It is doubt. He's 94 years old. He's one of my great American film heroes. Whether it be the French Connection or actually there's a really good one.

called The Conversation. You guys might want to watch if you want to. geek out on Gene Hackman for a weekend. Actually, one of the conversations claims to fame is that The person who played Shirley and Laverne and Shirley got her start in the conversation. Anyway.

The New York Post decided they were going to try to shame. Gene Hackman, 94 years old. As he made his first kind of public walkout. of his place. And they were, and this I could 20 years.

So he's with his wife. And this is the New York Post headline: Gene Hackman, 94, spotted in new photos wearing nearly identical outfit from weeks earlier. Ha ha.

Now of course all of you know that Uh there, but for the grace of God go us with our Reuse some clothes for crying out loud. But actually, the worst part about that is that Gene Hackman was wearing these clothes, but it was actually the same day, just in two separate places. And so they're acting as if Gene Hackman is some kind of crazy man. Or homeless man or something. How can you possibly?

Go that deep and that shallow. In attacking a guy like Gene Hackman. It just goes to show you these people just absolutely have no shame. That's a shame. You know what happened, though?

The best part about this is you got to know that one of the things about X. Is that it still has a great potential for shaming people who try to shame people? And so There's a great X account called US Ministry of Truth. It's really pretty funny. And the reporter who tried to shame the great The amazing Gene Hackman.

was a woman by the name of Lauren Sarner.

So, guess what happened? Of course, this happened. The US Ministry of Truth on X Uh took A Uh A photo from one of her Facebook feeds or Instagram feeds. Of we're wearing a certain dress, and guess what happened? Of course, they found another picture of her wearing Uh the same dress on another occasion.

Which is actually, if you really get right down to it, if you're going to shame Gene Hackman for wearing the same outfit in two different places on the same day. Certainly, you shouldn't be doing that when you're wearing Uh the same outfit. Days. It's amazing.

So, anyway, this is what the headline was. New York Post reported Lauren Sarner spotted in photos wearing nearly identical outfits from weeks earlier. I mean, I'm telling you what, this news media. Is out of its mind when left to its own devices. Nobody knew that more.

Than RFK, and I'll try to fit this in here in the short period of time that I have. He's with Aaron Burnett. And he basically says to Aaron Burnett, and Aaron Burnett, of course, is looking at him like the dog stares into the Victrola cone, you know. He's looking at him like uh What are you talking about? She asked me, Do I really, you know, don't I think Trump is very dangerous for the Republic?

And I said to her, I can make an argument that President Biden is even more dangerous to the Republic. She had this kind of astonished look when she her brain stopped working. And this is R. F. K.

Jr. I tell you what, if he hadn't chosen that left wing moon bat for a VP candidate, He probably would have had quite a few conservatives gravitating towards him just in terms of love, probably not in terms of votes, but yeah. And I said. You know, the reason for that, that I would say that, is because President Biden did something no other president in history and he's been A court has found it. A court has no, there's no court that's found.

And President Trump. Um tried to Uh steal election or try to derail the election. Uh or tried to um start an insurrection. Yeah. And it just stoutish her.

Because that's the lie they keep trying to tell.

Alright, so when is President Trump going to announce his VP? And do we have some insight for you? I might in just a few seconds. This is the Todd Starn Show. I'm Jamie Allman.

We'll be back. All right, happy, happy Friday to all of you and yours. This is the Todd Starn Show, and I'm Jamie Allman. Really happy to be. Filling in for Todd today.

He will be back Monday and his brand new book, Twilight's Last Gleaming. Debuting, and he was there in Wichita, Kansas to promote it. And so he'll be back on Monday, and I'll be happy to be here. Latest news coming out of Florida. Through our friends over at Emerson College, is that Donald Trump is enjoying a double-digit advantage.

over Joe Biden in Florida. And I know in the past it's been all about Florida. It's all about some other states too, but Florida remains important. Really happy to have a Trump adviser, an insider named Mahek Cook, who is on the line with me right now, the newsmaker line. Matt Cook, welcome to the show.

Thank you so much for joining us. That's got to be some good news coming out of Florida with the Emerson poll. Thank you so much for having me. This is great news. We continue to see President Trump.

Surge and pulls. And his message is resonating. It's the same message he had when he was president. His economy was stronger. We had lower inflation.

He had a strong and secure border. We didn't have an illegal immigration crisis. And people trembled. trust him. And you're continuing to see that when we have Sky high.

double digit victories for the President when we look at polling today. No doubt about it. And it's far different. I mean, we have so many economic problems, border problems. And the border, of course, these problems are extending beyond even border states, as we all full well know.

These are super important issues. And the economy, most of all, I mean, Biden's economy is far worse than most of the mainstream numbers indicate. You're 100% right. And when you look again at our economy, it is shocking to see in March, inflation went up another 3.5%. We are not better off than we were four years ago.

In fact, there's a Gallup poll that just came out that said that we are not only more fewer than half Americans think that we are not better off than we were four years ago. And you have to remember four years ago, it was the darkest time in our country. We were locked up. There were COVID mandates. we are saying as Americans, we were better off during COVID than we were during Biden's economy.

And when we look at inflation that's escalating another three point five percent in March, this means that when you go to that grocery store, eggs, Diaphorse. Milk, you name it, it is up over 18%.

So you have an average American today trying to figure out what do I put back in the grocery cart because I cannot afford the same things I did four years ago. And that is truly devastating. Yeah, and in some cases, depending on the product, it's even higher than the 18%. Talking with Trump insider Mahec Cook, and this is probably why. President Trump wants Joe Biden on that debate stage badly.

And fast. 100%. And Joe Biden has been missing in action. He continues to talk about his strong record. He continues this rhetoric.

Every time you hear him speak or mumble on TV, he's talking about how great we're doing. He refuses to combat and battle the biggest issue, which is our economy and immigration. He won't face President Trump because he knows that President Trump's record was stronger four years ago than under Joe Biden. He's a weak president. He's been weak on foreign policy.

He's been weak on national security. And he truly is a threat to our democracy because he has allowed for illegals to come into our country. He's allowed for gas prices to soar. He's allowed for bad policies to cripple our economy and the American dream. You know, funny, I think we're finally on the precipice of experiencing a summer of love we can appreciate because I know President Trump is going to be firing up the rally engines pretty soon.

And I don't expect you actually to know this or not. And maybe the decision has been made. But is that Bronx rally going to happen, you think? Because I know that that's going to be one heck of an event if it does happen. I think that the Trump team is considering a lot of events this summer, and part of it is because we, the American people, really want to see and hear from him.

So we'll have to wait to see what his schedule is. But I urge every single American to come out to those rallies to hear from the President directly, because he is not afraid to speak the truth. He's not afraid to face voters and tell them that he is going to make our country secure and safer than ever before. As Joe Biden continues to hide in his basement, we need to ensure that we're out this summer listening to the President's message. And I love that he doesn't use mainstream media.

He goes directly to voters and he speaks to us first.

so that mainstream media cannot manipulate. anything he is saying. I am so in agreement with you on that. And that's the art of not only Donald Trump, but also of actually being there and seeing him live, or even at least watching his speeches live, because you get it unedited. It's not going through the mainstream media laundromat, and you're checking it out.

You're seeing it for, I'll give you a great example, Maheck Cook.

So when I first heard Donald Trump, when he announced his candidacy, this was in 2015, this is the famous escalator ride. And at the time, I was more of a Rand Paul guy. I wasn't the Bush people, I wasn't any of that, the mainstream Republicans. And I watched that speech in its entirety. On C-SPAN.

I didn't want to turn on Fox News or turn on some other news outlet to tell me what he said. I wanted to hear what he had to say. The next morning, I go into my radio show and I say, oh my goodness, I have never heard a Republican speak like this in my lifetime. And I know darn well, most of the mainstream media probably cut out most of the important stuff to people. And so that's the importance of hearing him unfiltered.

You're 100% right. We have mainstream media today that wants to continue to. Gag President Trump. They're trying to do it through these atrocious trials. They're trying to do it now on media in terms of trying to mark up his messaging, trying to mislead the American people.

So when he speaks to you directly, that's the best place to get your news. He's going to tell you exactly what's happening on his campaign. He's going to tell you exactly what he's going to do for the economy, for immigration, for national security, all the issues that matter the most. The President speaks to us directly. If it's not at a rally, it's on Truth Social.

So what I want to hear, what we need to do to make America better, I'm looking to President Trump. I'm listening to what he has to say. And I cut out the noise from mainstream media because they are truly the enemy today. They are dividing us. They are not unifying us.

And they are creating the worst division between Republicans and Democrats that I have seen today. And it is because of mainstream media. that we have to be very, very careful in this election. We need to go hear from President Trump directly and know that we're voting for a man that will unify us and make us greater. Yes, and inside the Trump support circles, I'm hearing a variety of opinions about not only the VP choice, but the timing.

Of the VP choice. There are some people who believe that President Trump should make This VP choice earlier rather than later. I'm not quite sure there's great evidence that that's necessary. But what are you hearing and what are you getting from the inside? I think it's really exciting when you have so many individuals that are being considered today.

That should truly be. a huge, huge success. In the Republican Party, to say that there are so many candidates that the president can pick from to lead our country. But I think what President Trump is truly going to do is pick somebody that is not only loyal. But somebody who loves this country as much as he does.

Because we have to remember, it's not about just President Trump's. term. It's the four years after that, and the four years after that. This is about legacy building for America. This is about undoing the damage that Joe Biden has.

Created in our economy and country, and making sure whoever he picks for VP. Will continue his legacy and make America great.

So I'm excited to see names like JD Vance. being from Ohio, it's exceptional to see a senator like him. He's young, he's dynamic, young voters love him, and he's true to his word. He's not sugarcoating anything. He tells Ohioans and Americans he's going to put our country first.

Christy Noam's another fantastic choice. She secured South Dakota. She was the first governor to open up her state and ensure that there were no lockdowns.

So there's a lot of interesting names out there. And I think President Trump's going to make sure he picks somebody who is loyal and ensures that America is always first. Yeah, I'm so glad that you prominently mentioned loyalty. because I do believe that that's something that what I believe President Trump, when he was first elected, had a hugely open heart, more open than people gave him credit for, and was willing to listen to a lot of ears and trusted people who uh in the end Betrayed him on a number of different levels. I know that that's not going to happen again.

President Trump has learned his lesson, and you have to have somebody there who absolutely is loyal to you and also who people can see as the next President of the United States come 2028 because This administration, if he gets reelected again as anything like his last administration, it will be a Republican-dominated White House for decades, as far as I'm concerned.

So, this next person has to be seen as a person who absolutely can be the next president of the United States after President Trump does it twice. You're 100% right. And whoever the president picks for his VP choice. Has to make sure that he is also loyal to America. We have seen far too often these liberal leftist elites like Joe Biden abandon Americans.

And this all goes to, again, look at our economy. The number one thing that Joe Biden could do is open up oil and gas drilling so that our gas prices could immediately go down.

So we're not depending on foreign countries like Saudi Arabia. But he doesn't do that because he is continuing to throw our country's economy away.

So that's not being loyal to America. Keeping our border open so illegals are coming in and committing heinous crimes like Lake and Riley's death, which could have been avoided. That's not loyal to America.

So we need a commander-in-chief after President Trump that truly put this country first.

So I believe anybody that is on President Trump's shortlist. is of that caliber, going to be really exciting for us to see. Who that VP pick is because he or she has to be presidential and has to be up to that job because we have a lot of damage in our country, and we need to unify together in the Republican Party, and we need to unify and build America to where it should be. where we can achieve that American dream because right now, the majority of Americans do not believe our American dream is achievable, and that is a sad state of affairs. No doubt about it.

And finally, Matt Cook, I guess it's not as important to me as it is to other people, but what about the timing of this? Is it going to happen sooner rather than later? And is that really necessary? To have it sooner. I don't think it's necessary.

I think that right now, the message truly should be what President Trump is going to do in terms of our devastating economy and this border crisis. We have a lot of issues that the President can tackle without naming a VP pick.

So if people are eager or they're pushing, I understand it's an exciting time. But I think President Trump is going to take his time. He's on nobody else's time but his own to make sure that he gets this right because this decision is very important. Like I said, it's really not about the next four years. It's the next eight and twelve and so forth.

Those years, these years that are coming up are going to be instrumental. They're going to be life changing and legacy building for the Republican Party. And I know that President Trump will get this right, and he's going to do it on his own timeline. Trump Insider Mahek Cook, it has been a privilege. Thank you so much for your generosity and time.

And we'll see you down the line. Really appreciate you being on. Thank you. Thank you so much. All right, what do you all think here?

901-260-5926. 901-260-5926. It is Open Line Friday. I thought the mention of J.D. Vance was something interesting.

I've heard the name before, obviously, and he's a great guy, but I'd never heard it as prominently. As Mahat Cook just mentioned it, which was a little bit of a surprise to me. What about you? What do you think? could be the best choice for Donald J.

Trump. nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. And ladies and gentlemen, I know the beloved Boston Market, just another restaurant A victim of the economy going down the tubes. We'll talk more about that. And again, your phone calls are welcome as well.

This is the Todd Starn Show, and I'm Jamie Allman filling in. This is the Todd Starn Show, and happy, happy Friday to all of you. Jamie Allman, privileged to be filling in for Todd, who will be back on Monday.

So don't worry, your pretty little heads. And of course, we'd love to hear from you. And our phone lines are always open, at least on a Friday, right? Because it is. Friday Open Line Day.

So 901-260-5926. I was interested and curious about the Babylon B. because they had a really great story in the wake of President Trump's visit. Uh to Chick-fil-A. where he was buying everybody milkshakes and beyond and And The Babylon B Said the headline is: Trump indicted for taking more Chick-fil-A sauces than he actually needed for his order, which isn't.

Which isn't beyond the realm of comprehension in this day and age, and what we're doing, you know what I mean? And how things are going. He's picked on all the time. There's a whole story in Axios I think about, which is a dying A publication, by the way. about how President Trump Plays his music really loud at Mar-a-Lago.

It's like, yeah, I mean, because he likes certain songs. It's like, and sometimes he'll play a song over and over again. It's like, yeah. My dad used to do that. He went back in the old days when he only had cassettes.

If you want to listen to something twice, Three times in a row, he'd record it onto the cassette twice, three times in a row. That's how he did it. If you want to listen to it over and over, he did.

So it's his poor guy's picked on all the time. Speaking of brands and food and your Chick-fil-A is just rocking it. Bo Boston market is going the opposite direction. Saw a headline here that Boston Markets Restaurant Levels have gone down from 1,000 restaurants to thirty.

Now, I don't know whether you guys have ever heard of a Boston market. There are a thousand restaurants, so you probably ran into one somewhere. But every day was Thanksgiving at Boston Market. I always go in there, and actually I would go in there almost like a heretic because I would go in there and all I wanted was a chicken salad sandwich. Because you know they're specializing rotisserie chicken and that kind of thing.

And I figured You know, whatever they were discarding, what they turned into chicken salad, and that made the best chicken salad as far as I'm concerned.

So I'd go in there and ask for chicken tell. But you go in there, there'd be people having green beans and mashed potatoes and turkey and corn and all this kind of stuff. People just absolutely loved it. It was an experience. And I was always wondering, wow, people are really into this place.

It's like again, it's like Thanksgiving and pie, homemade pie, all that stuff.

Well, a couple of things happened. Not only, of course, the existence of Cracker Barrel, which is a formidable competitor. But then you also had the onset of the rotisserie chicken at the grocery store. Which at one time was $6.99, $7.99, now it's $9.99.

So, you can just simply pick up an already rotisserie chicken at the grocery store.

So, that started to hurt them. But you know what? One of the main things that started to hurt them? And this is where I think we need to get a handle on the oppressiveness of government.

So a sum of these Stores were forced to close by the government. because of unpaid sales taxes.

Now, of course, again, I don't I don't think you should not pay taxes. But it was unpaid sales taxes. Maybe the sales taxes were the problem, don't you think? This is the Todd Starn Show, and I'm Jamie Ullman. Pleased and privileged to be filling in.

Would love to hear from you on this Open Line Friday, 901-260-5926. Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's America's conservative blowtorch. Yeah yeah. That's right. I love this American ride.

Todd starts. Oh, yeah. Well, happy Friday. Just love that intro. I hear it every day and.

It's so great to hear Todd Starge's voice every day. I'm JB Allman filling in for Todd Starrance on this particular day. It's open line Friday, 901-260-5926, and I go way back with Pod. Uh we were both kind of cubs, but he was a l uh bigger cub than I was. When I was doing radio in St.

Louis and Todd Starnes was doing Fox News radio. And his reports were the most amazing because he's a terrific writer. And just has the pulse on America's heartland always has.

So, in case you're just getting into it and noticing it, this has been going on 25 years.

So, he's an amazing guy, great entertainer, great writer, and I think.

Well, I I I would think Paul Harvey Would be looking down from heaven saying, you know what, Todd? Great job, my friend. But anyway, he is just Todd Starrens. He's an individual, after all. And Todd will be back on Monday.

Speaking of writing, his new book is Twilight's Last Gleaming. It is a terrific read, and I will not be surprised if this winds up on the New York Times best-seller list right up there with all the The rest of the common sense conservative thinking there. Twilight's last gleaming. He was in Wichita last night with our affiliate KQAM to promote the book. And of course, he'll be back on Monday and we'll be happy to be back.

All right, so hey, you know, this afternoon, T V stuff has really changed quite a bit. You remember some of those afternoon shows Where you'd have like baby mama tests and you'd have like oversized Babies, like 400-pound babies running around in diapers all over the stage and everything else. I mean, I think for a while their Dr. Phil got into some of that kind of vascivious stuff, you know, that that kind of creepy afternoon television stuff. But lately Dr.

Phil Has been pretty amazing. I mean, he's become. An actual voice of reason. Especially on a number of common sense conversations. Conservative issues.

I'm not ready to You know, you never know. It's kind of like with Bill Maher. It's like he says something you like. And suddenly, Bill Maher is a genius, and you're like, oh, I love it until he turns on you. And hates you.

I don't know much about Dr. Phil in that regard, but the more I hear about him, And every time he shows up, it seems like he's saying something. That is groundbreaking and crushing. liberal souls. and causing liberal tears.

So here he is on DEI. Keep in mind. That when you are Questioning DEI, you gotta be really super careful. I well, I you you all don't have to be super careful. You don't care, right?

But when you deal with this, sometimes you're going to have people watching you. And you're going to have people trying to create some idea that you're a racist out of anything you say. About DEI, to question. The DEI philosophy. And to question the DEI religion actually puts you sometimes in the crosshairs of the mainstream media and everything else.

But apparently, Dr. Phil doesn't really have to care. Too much about that. And God love him for. having that kind of freedom because it's it's on National television.

Which is great.

So he's Interviewing this uh Human resources leader. And Oh, and of course, this is all. I'm not quite sure the human resources people, it's fun to make fun of them, but I'm not quite sure they're the ones who created this. This came out of some university lab someplace or some corporate think tank or something. And off to the races it went.

Actually, nobody really knows the origin of the. Of DEI. It just came out of nowhere. Mostly during COVID, if you notice that. It's kind of like the critical race theory.

Suddenly, it's like. Wait a minute, people are learning that in school. Maybe that's because we suddenly saw it in the children's computer screens as they were imprisoned at home. Because of Dr. Burks and Fauci.

And pence. Anyway. He's interviewing this. Human resources leader. And this takes about 40 seconds for him to dismantle everything.

You may know about DEI.

Some demographics come to the table and have to overcome. racism, unconscious bias. Misogyny, and so how do we help level the playing field? for everyone.

Okay, so that means you're trying to create a quality of outcome. Mm-hmm. That's what I hear you saying about playing God. How do you create a quality of outcome? When people aren't the same, you're right.

Some people are shorter, some people are taller looking over that fence. They can't both play in the NBA. Right. You can't create a quality of outcome. What gives a DEI program the right to come in and try and alter the nature of things to create a quality of outcome?

That's been tried. That didn't work. That was called Marxism. Boom! Check, please!

That's Dr. Phil, people. This is on regular television. And it's funny how When we see the sudden explosion of common sense Come across on regular T V how shocked we are. It actually makes news In many conservative circles and on many conservative websites, when a television show says something even remotely commonsensical.

And a while they actually talked about Babies being really babies. It's like we're so surprised by that. It was a shame, but that's the way it is. But the equality of outcome is, and Marxism, just a perfect analogy. And I'm sure these people in HR and All the other people who believe that they're going to get to heaven by Just ruining other people who aren't the right flavor or I'm sure they actually Don't think of it as Marxism, but the reality is it is.

As Dr. Phil, of all people, points out.

So the equality of outcome is interesting because what you wind up with When you create this idea of equality of outcome, And as Dr. Phil points out, it's Marxism, but you're also creating people. who actually will begin to mistreat people In their own race. That that has happened before.

So you're elevating some person of color. Simply because they're a person of color And if something... doesn't go right. in that persons of color performance. And you criticize them.

If you're white, you're racist. And believe me, if you're black, You can be called racist too. I am not kidding. This happened With a mayor in Illinois. Her name is Tiffany Henyard, and she is the mayor of Dalton, Illinois.

It's actually predominantly black community. And I'm not saying that she was elected because she was black or whatever. But she was elevated to this position. I'm just giving you an example of what happens and how it's possible that a person. who once they're elevated In spite of of their ability And only because of their flavor?

then any time that you criticize them, They automatically have a cushion. To fall back on of defense and can gaslight you and accuse you of being racist.

So, this happened. in Colton, Illinois.

So she was questioned about using tax funds to pay for a bunch of lavish trips. Does that sound familiar? To first class tickets. There was a $1 million giveaway to somebody she was close to in the campaign. And she makes $287,000 a year for a small-town mayor.

It's pretty good.

So when she was criticized by other black citizens, This was what came out of her mouth. Y'all should be ashamed of y'all self-y'all black. Y'all are black. And y'all sitting up here beating and attacking on a black woman. That's in power.

Y'all should be ashamed of y'allselves. Yeah. That came out of her mouth. Basically daring other black people to question her. And her performance Uh when they're black.

So, obviously, you talk about the soft bigotry of low expectations.

Well, you have it right there. Where she's expecting black people to overlook her corruption and graft. Because she's black. And because they're black. There's nothing worse.

Than the soft bigotry of low expectations. And again, I'm not saying she was elected. Through some kind of DEI mindset. But the reality is, if you look back at the way she was elected and her campaign and everything else, it was very much focused on her flavor. And very much focused on her minority status, and she was using that.

So. The equality of outcome, which is what people strive for sometimes, even in their elections.

sometimes comes back to bite them. as that person becomes a monster. That person becomes a individual who you cannot attack. Even if you're black. You have no credibility.

Because she's black. Oh, and by the way, She goes in front of another town hall. And this is where, and this was later on in her career. Yeah. where things were finally getting like, all right, whatever you're doing here.

Absolutely is not right. She tried to pull it again, and this is what happened. We're here to pull for each other, not hurt each other. And it's a shame that us, us, I'm talking to my black and brown community.

So the crowd is drowning her out. And they're saying, come on. We're supposed to help each other. We're supposed to build each other, not hurt each other. It's like, well, you're hurting our community by your corruption.

But see that also happens in the corporate world with DEI. is you get somebody elevated simply because Of their sex or their race, and then anybody of that same sex or race has to be quiet about anything they might do wrong. Maybe you've seen this in your life. You can call because it's Open Line Friday, 901-260-5926. 901-260-5926.

This is the Todd Starn Show, and I'm Jamie Allman, privileged to be filling in for the man. Uh Happiest of Fridays to all of you and yours. This is the Todd Starn Show, and I'm Jamie Allman, privileged to be filling in for Todd, who will be back on Monday. Breaking news, the House passing a bill. To reauthorize and provide sweeping reforms of a U.S.

key government surveillance tool. Without including broad restrictions on how the FBI uses this crucial program. To search for American data. It's otherwise known as the FISA court. And that comes to us from the Associated Press.

And the House passed it without any kind of broad restrictions. on how the FBI uses this crucial program data.

Now I'm going to have on the other side here Uh I'll I'll this break 'Cause we're waiting for him to get off the floor and all that kind of thing. His name is Congressman Ralph Norman. He's a Republican from South Carolina. I do not know. How he voted on this.

And I'm not going to know until I ask him. And that'll be interesting to see. I had Judge the Palutano won earlier. And the judge pointed out this FISA program is dangerous. It is abused.

And it certainly is no time to reauthorize it. without any further restrictions on it. Because we've already seen How it's worked out. and how it was used against the President of the United States. And so in some cases, it actually is used.

against other American citizens. We just don't know who. Because it's so secret. It predates the Patriot Act. Yeah, so it goes back to nineteen seventy eight, seventy seven, I believe.

And so it's not part of the Patriot Act, but all that kind of stuff needs to be. Uh looked at again. It needs to be reviewed. And it needs to be checked. And so far as we know with the deep state, and how it has operated particularly against President Trump.

and against your interests as common sense Americans. This is not a good sign. The only good sign is that it's probably going to face some pretty big hurdles in the Senate. We just don't know how that's going to work. I know that Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, and these others are very suspicious of it.

And so we'll see what happens in the Senate. Speaking of the Senate, You guys know Senator John Kennedy there from Louisiana, right? He's always Good for Not only a laugh. but also to watch him surgically remove The organs of anybody who comes before him with a claim that they cannot back up.

So this is John Kennedy. Who is Yeah. Going up against this witness, Zorka Millen. She's a policy director at the Fact Coalition, and their job basically is to hunt down corporations who aren't paying their fair share of taxes, so to speak. And of course there are companies that maybe aren't paying the kind of taxes they should.

But as I've said before, I applaud anybody who can legally avoid Paying taxes. I think that's that's good. It's good for the bottom line. It's good for your employees as long as you're just not pocketing the money, doing whatever. But of course, it's your company, you can do whatever you want to do with it.

And so I'm not really too per snickety about people who are avoiding taxes legally, right?

Well, she claims that these companies are cheating on their taxes. She runs around the top corporations are cheating on their taxes. And so all John Candy wants to know is. Who are they? Because you're the one squawking about them.

Can you tell me who they are? Tell me who they are. Who they are. Who are they? Who are the five.

Name the five American corporations that are the biggest tax cheats.

Well, this is a question for the IRS. It is their job to enforce the laws.

So I wouldn't That is a pretty serious allegation you made there, and I am just asking you who they are. There are cases pending against a number of companies until those cases conclude. And it's funny how You could go out, let's say you accuse somebody of being a child molester. And they say, well, yeah, there's a person here who's a child molester.

Well, who is it? That's for the police to decide. Not me. That's for them to point out, not me. This is the kind of Ponch's pilot technique.

that is used often By these individuals on the left, they throw out all this stuff, these blanket accusations, but really can never back them up. And then when they're pushed up against the wall, they say it's for somebody else to determine. What do you think they are? You're an expert in this area. I'm just asking you.

You talked a lot and I've read some of your writings about American corporations cheating on their taxes. I'm just asking you who they are. I wouldn't use the word cheating. I think that they are. But that's what she.

Why am I Talking. John Tanney should be telling about that. Maybe you're taking advantage of the graveyard. I'm sorry. You used it in your testimony.

I'm not trying to trick you. I just want to know, you have been very. Uh vociferous. in saying that American companies are cheating.

Okay, that's America. You're entitled to your opinion, but you're an expert, and just tell me who they are. I stand by that. I think that there is evidence to suggest that some of these companies and the IRS has pursued cases against a number of the companies that Mr. Curtis has analyzed, including That About seven minutes of I won't tell you.

Because I can't Because I really actually don't know. All right, coming up, a congressman, fresh off the FISA vote. We'll see how it worked out, how he voted. And we'll find out why. It passed.

This is the Todd Starn Show, and I'm Jamie Allman. Privileged to be here for you. This is the Todd Starring Show, and happy Friday to all of you. Jamie Allman, honored to be filling in for my old friend Todd. He will be back on Monday.

The House passing a bill. To reauthorize and provide sweeping reforms of the FISA surveillance tool. Without including broad restrictions on how the FBI uses this crucial program. So, no restrictions whatsoever. The House passing it 273 to 147.

Congressman Ralph Norman, one of those voting, of course, from the beautiful state. of South Carolina. Congressman, welcome to the program. Jammy, glad to be with you.

So how did you vote?

Well, I voted for the Biggs amendment, which would authorize warrants if you query or look in the background of a American citizen, you had to have a warrant. And it went down. It was a tie vote, and in a tie situation, you lose. And that was the linchpin for really the whole bill. The fact that They singled out Congress as they will notify Congress that they do a search on us, but not the American people.

And you've got so many violations that the FBI has done I think it's two hundred thirty five thousand Last year, 2023, and into the millions. We've seen the abuse of this with Donald Trump, with Carter Page. with the Clinton dossier that they took fake material. but uh disappointed but we'll I guess The only good part about it, the five years reauthorization was cut to two. which will put it in the administration of hopefully Donald Trump.

So that's a good thing. Congressman, you were one of 19, in my opinion, brave Republicans who broke with the party. didn't actually even want to advance the bill. Uh didn't even and you would have been fine with it. not even being reauthorized, if I'm not mistaken.

That's correct. That's exactly correct. And for your listeners, Jamie, it does not expire. there's a clause where they can they're authorized for another year.

So the april nineteenth date That this was going to be basically, we'd have no ability to wiretap, and our government wouldn't. Is not true.

So it would extend past the 19 for another year. And this is time to get something right. The abuses are spelled out. And we got a we have a government that is running trampling over the rights of the American people. The Fourth Amendment Where you have to have a warrant for search and seizure on American citizens.

Basically, it was flying in the face of that. Mm-hmm. So, when it comes to the Congress spying, and I talked to Judge Andrew DiPolitano earlier about this, and there seems to be actually a prevalence. of spying done on congressional members, the deep state sometimes using some of the material as leverage in certain ways. I'm not trying to get conspiracy theory mad here, but I do know that that happens.

And there really hasn't been I mean, and based on what you've been able to glean, Has FISA really resulted in any kind of breakthroughs as it relates to finding out, busting up some conspiracy, some terrorist organization or whatever? I mean, it seems to me it hasn't been doing a whole lot except when it shows up. in spying on Americans. Yeah, and that's what's so egregious about it. I mean, you just can't do that.

I mean, that's not how the Constitution was set up. That's not how the Fourth Amendment, which spells out the rights that we have. But what I object to is a FISA that is so-called reform is just not a reform. And it's it's the the the actuality of Americans being spied on uh to the tune of over 200,000 last year is Really, it's a frightening thing that we're not getting a handle on with this. And Intel fought against it.

This was the This was the came under the jurisdiction of the judiciary, and the judiciary was totally against this.

Now, it says it the bill that we wanted came out of the judiciary 37-2. which means uh all but two people The Democrats voted for it along with Republicans because the seriousness of What's going on with our own government against the American people? It's a scary thought. We'll live the fight another day, but it's very disappointing. Yeah, so explain to me some of the machinations here.

So you were for the Biggs amendment. And this bill that was passed today was not the bill you wanted.

So did you wind up voting for it? No, I didn't. Oh, I was a no. Just I didn't even want it to I'm on the rules committee, and Chip Roy and me and others didn't even want it to come to the floor. Because it's that it's that it's a farce to say this is a Uh this is a true you know, reigning in of our federal government.

The Intel, I think, expanded the role of government. And allow them to keep getting information. And as you mentioned, it's for nefarious in many cases for nefarious purposes. And the fact that we had an opportunity, and the Biggs amendment was a linchpin for me. Had we had put warrants in that would have forced the FBI To get a warrant before they queried Todd Starnes or Ralph Norman or anybody else.

which is again the Fourth Amendment right, I would have voted for the bill. But voted against it. We were outnumbered and We'll liber fight another day.

Well, and you know what's crazy? The reason why I asked that question, which otherwise would come across as dumb considering what you had mentioned before, but it's not beyond the realm of comprehension and hasn't been. Where people in Congress, and you've seen this before, they'll vote against an amendment or they'll vote for an amendment, but then the amendment dies and then they go ahead and vote for the bill without the amendment anyway.

So they can go back and say, hey, we did vote for this. You know, it just depends on if they could play both sides. And so what you're telling me is that you actually are a true believer because I know there are some people. who might be voting for that amendment, but then if it dies, they'll turn around and still vote for the bill. It happens with budgetary stuff all the time.

So thank you for being true to everything you say and believe on this.

Well, we're going to publicize everybody that basically voted against. Republicans, really, and Democrats, have voted against a constitutional right. And our government is wrong in so many ways in intruding on American lives. And it's just it's out of control.

So we there was a parliamentary procedure that on a Pauline and Luna put on that made it the last minute that said that we were not going to lay it on the table.

So it's coming back up. um Monday. But unless those who, as you said, would use the words to say they wanted the warrant amendment, but then since it didn't have it, they went on to vote for the bill, maybe they will change their mind and maybe we can get a bill with true reform. But the ones but what we passed today was not true reform. And it's scary to think that our own government can gather information On the American people without letting them know about it.

The only people they have to let it let to to notify that they're spying is Congress. Get that. They notify Congress, but it's not good enough for the American people. Oh, yeah. I mean, that just sounds terrible.

So I know that you know some of your more conservative friends in the Senate. And this goes on to the Senate. And based on what you've been able to kind of glean from some of the folks you may have been talking to. What's going to happen at that point in the Senate?

Well, I don't have much faith in the Senate. You got your true patriots like Ted Cruz, Mike Lee. Rick Scott and others, we will be getting with them to try to get a strategy to. hopefully get something better with that comes back to the house. I don't know if that's possible because It's Democrat controlled, but we had a lot of Democrat support on our warrants.

It was two two twelve to two twelve.

So Maybe they can give us something that we can Put this back up before the House, and then maybe over the weekend, some that will catch some heat from their constituents. For violating the Constitution, which is what I think they did. And words won't explain that, Jamie. I mean, Like you say, they use excuses like we tried to do it, but we couldn't do it, so then we voted for a bad bill. I just don't believe in that.

God love you. Thank you. I mean, you and the other patriots out there standing by, Congressman Ralph Norman of South Carolina, great work, and thank you so much for standing up for us. And you know what's interesting on the final note here is how this is reported. Like originally, when you and the other 18 Republicans voted to block this bill from even getting to the floor eventually, and you voted for the Biggs amendment, it's incredible to me how freedom-loving members of the media looked upon this as some kind of obstru obstruction, as some kind of Bad thing.

If you can imagine how crazy the world is right now, that members of the media. Are actually upset. At the fact that you all were defending American citizens from being spied upon. Crazy. And think about that, Jamie.

Why in the media blasting out every second the fact that we've got illegals, terrorists coming in this country, unfettered, that we don't even know about to get a warrant to search?

Now they're foreigners, but we don't know how we can even get any information. Where is the emphasis on that? It's just it's ludicrous what's going on up here. Yeah. Well, keep the faith.

I know you will, and I appreciate you sharing that with us and your courage in this vote. Congressman Ralph Norman, say hello to South Carolina from all of us, and really appreciate you being on.

Well, my honor, and thank you all for what you do. Yes, sir. And that's true.

So it was interesting how. You know, when I asked him, how did you vote in the beginning? And he said, well, I voted for the Biggs amendment.

So at that point, you know, my spider senses, because I actually didn't know before I talked to him how he voted or what everything was about, because I like it that way. But knowing how I know, and he knows that there are politicians out there who will tell you, well, I voted for this amendment, but then you got to double back and say, Yeah, but did you vote for the bill? And I was so happy when he said no, because I expected that from him, because he's a great guy and a super strong conservative. But that's why when they ask the question, Because you never know. Because some people will do exactly just what he said.

They'll say, well, I voted that amendment died.

So I wound up just going ahead and throwing my hands up. And there's a guy who didn't throw his hands up, and we need so many more of those in Congress.

So it's a real pleasure to have Congressman Ralph Norman on with me here on the Todd Starn show. And don't forget, my friends. You can call on into the show right now, 901-260-5926. 901-260-5926. And I did want to draw your attention to somebody who is very special to this show.

Jamie Allman, really happy to be filling in for Todd. Thank you for the opportunity, my old friend. Great to be with all of you. I know you're all spread across the country, and it's been a fun and it's been a blast. To be speaking with you for the past few hours.

So, this is what's the world coming to? Can you believe Lunchables is now considered to be poisonous? to kids Bye. a bunch of consumer activists and Hey, I I guess I can't be really sure exactly what their trip is. I mean, considering, again, I'm not.

Too much. of a conspiracy theorist. I still do believe In the Moon landing. That's pretty much it. Tell you the truth.

And if I didn't know any better, I would think that this effort to kind of ban Lunchables because they don't want them in schools anymore, that's basically their goal. Is really just so that we can eat cricket flour. But I don't know. I'm just throwing it out there. But it is interesting how this News organization reported this.

Consumer Reports finding That lunchables have concerning levels of lead and sodium.

Now Let's put it this way. If you were told That something contains two high levels of lead and sodium, what would be. your first concern regarding what they're telling you is in there. It would be lead, right? Like normal people, yeah, I don't want, I mean, sodium I could handle, I guess, if I drink enough water, or I.

But lead is crazy. Yeah. This is how the news organization reported on consumer reports. She doesn't even mention it. She's got the whole report right in front of her, but.

Apparently because that's the thing now is that all of the food freaks and all the the health nuts. Don't like the fats and don't like the sodium and don't like this. Actually, kids need sodium and they need fat too, but. Hey, growing kids do. Schools, but the watchdog group tested the meals and found that the school kits have even more sodium than the store-bought version.

Yeah, so they're obsessed with the sodium part of it. I'm thinking, what about the lead? I thought lead was a big problem and it stunts kids learning and all that kind of stuff, but keep an eye on this one. Because, and again, I've kids, and Lunchables never seemed particularly. Very healthy to me, mainly because some of the meat always seemed like it was real slippery and weird.

But other than that, I sometimes it was came in handy when you're. taking a road trip, you know. In other food news people. The Kellogg's Rogue shareholder is announcing the company now is knowingly harming children with additives and dyes.

Now, you know why Kellogg's is being punished, right? uh why why they're kind of being tracked Because the Kellogg chairman came out a while back. and suggested a great antidote to to dealing with Biden's crazy and damaging and unhealthy economy. It's just simply to stop basically eating dinner. and instead have breakfast.

For dinner instead, cereal. When I say cereal, you say dinner. Cereal! Yeah! Cereal!

Yeah! Chicken! You can uh have the night off, chicken. Yeah, well why have chicken? when you can have uh Kellogg's frosted flakes for dinner.

How is that great for kids? Coming from a family where my mom was like, you're not having any sugared cereal at all. I mean, I'm not going to go into it, but I'm not saying I was oppressed or anything because I didn't miss it. But still, so so anyway, a lot of people got upset. Because the Kellogg chairman Was basically saying, let them eat cake or let them eat Kellogg, so to speak.

Well, now the shareholder is saying, you know. Uh by the way. They're knowingly negligent. Uh they they put in all these dyes and all these things. And a lot of these things are not even acceptable in Europe and beyond.

So watch out, food. Here's the next front. When it comes to the left attack, we'll see. Might be good news though, because it protects some of our children too, so we'll see. Just keep a skeptical eye.
