President Obama mocks the Cheesecake Factory. The truth is that most Americans eat at the Cheesecake Factory or Red Lobster to celebrate a special occasion. Most Americans can’t afford to pay $175 for a steak — like Obama did. And most of us can’t afford to hire a private chef — like the one Obama had — until he turned up dead.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

I love this American ride. Todd Sterns. Oh, hello, everybody. Welcome. This is the Todd Sterns radio program.

Happy to have you with us today. Write down our telephone number. You're going to need this if you plan on calling in. Nine zero one. Two six zero five nine two six.

That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. We have some breaking news coming out of Tennessee in a congressional race. We're going to tell you about that in in just a few moments. Want to say again, thank you so much to our friends at WDUN, which by the way happened to be our very first radio affiliate, and they have hosted me for the past two days now. As we get ready for our big.

Signing tonight in Gainesville at the Long Street Cafe, and we would love to see you tonight, five o'clock to seven o'clock Eastern Time at the Long Street Cafe. Come, bring the family, grab a meal. I'll sign your book. You'll be able to purchase a book there. And even if you don't buy a book, I want you to come by and say hello.

And I would love to be able to shake your hand. We have so many great listeners across North Georgia. Our friends W. R.W.H. in the North Georgia Mountains, Cleveland, Georgia.

So we want to see all of you folks coming out later this evening. All right.

Well, Dylan, I I think I'm learning a lesson here about about politics. I'm open ears, Todd.

Well, I'm never ever going to endorse another candidate again. Period. Ever, I don't. I don't care if it's a family member running for office. I will never endorse another candidate again.

You want to know why? Yeah, I do. I do.

Well, we just got word, and I called the campaign to confirm all of this just the other day. We had State Senator Brent Taylor on the show. He's running in one of the most high-profile races in all of of the entire country. This is the ninth congressional district that got redistricted for a to benefit a Republican candidate. This was Congressman Steve Cohen's district, and I just want to share.

This information with you because, again, this is what we do, and we just we call balls and strikes on this this radio program, and we do them fully clothed. And I think it's important, Dylan, for the audience to know that we do this radio program fully clothed when we take photos, Dylan. I'm normally fully clothed, right? Wearing a sweater, a shirt, pants. Todd, I'm getting scared.

You're making me nervous here.

Well, this is from the Nashville Scene, which is one of the publications in Nashville. State Senator Brent Taylor has admitted that he sent unsolicited nude photos to a person as recently as 2021. The state senator dismisses the past sexual advances as "quote youthful indiscretions" that marked his 30 year marriage.

Now, Senator Taylor is, I think, about a year or two older than I am, so that would put him in his 50s when these youthful indiscretions happened. The senator says.

Well, let me continue with the Nashville Banner reporting. Multiple sources say that they had received or seen nude photos from Taylor. Taylor acknowledged to the scene that he had sent nude photos in the past, but dismissed them as mistakes that have since been forgiven by his wife, lovely lady, by the way. "Quote as I near sixty years old." The expiration date has come and gone on any of my youthful indiscretions. He told the scene.

Whatever story you think you've got, my wife is well aware of, and we've worked through it a long time ago. My God, and my wife have forgiven me, and I would consider anyone else or everyone else doing the same. One person who requested anonymity, citing fear of retaliation, says they received an unsolicited nude photo from Taylor as recently as 2021, before he was elected to the state senate. A second eyewitness source independently confirmed the nude photos sent by Taylor at the time Taylor was 53.

So there we go. Will this impact the the congressional race? I I don't think so. At least, I mean, first of all, we've had a lot of early voting, so a lot of votes have already well over a hundred thousand votes have been cast.

So I can't imagine that it would impact early voting. But a couple of thoughts here, and again, I just full disclosure, I have endorsed Senator Taylor, and I think he would. You know, he's done a terrific job in the state. I, he has. I think he would do a terrific job in in the Congress.

Probably might want to switch to you know just writing letters by hand, but I. I don't know, ladies and gentlemen. It just seems to me, if you are running for, and I just I'm I'm I'm just now getting this information, so I'm still trying to digest it because it's really, quite frankly, a shock. And I say it's a shock because it just seems to me that if you are running for office and you had these issues in your past. That you know they're going to come out, right?

I mean, Dylan, you know how it is. I mean, every they they research everything, right?

So if you're running for office, you know you have to know they're going to have the dirt on you. I feel like it's a tale as old as time, Todd. Like anybody who's ever run for office has had something come out in their path. I'm sorry. Is this?

And I'm just pleading ignorance here. For example, I had no idea when I worked at Fox News Channel that it was basically a whorehouse. I had no idea all the shenanigans that were going on, and maybe I was just naive. But Dylan, I is I know the sexting thing is a big deal among the young people, right? That's kind of a you know, is that still sort of a normal thing?

Hey, don't ask me, Todd. I I feel yeah, sure, sure. I mean, well, you're younger than older. Yeah, I mean, back in our day, you know, if you were interested in a you know a young lady, and oh, someone asked, we we I did reach out to the campaign, and they said the photos were sent to a lady.

So, if you were interested in a young lady, you would like woo her with like flowers or candy. You wouldn't take pictures of your Private parts, and then send them to Kodak and have them developed, and then just mail them. You, you—that's what we would have to do. We didn't have texting back in the day, right? Right.

So.

So, Grant. First of all, we think that all sexting is wrong. Can we? We're on the are we on the record with that, Kellen? Can we write all that down?

Todd Starnes is opposed to sexting. She put it in the notes.

Okay. That being said, I mean, if you're a young person, it's not that I understand it. It's just something that young people are doing these days. Is that a fair? Is that a fair assessment?

Yes, I would say. All right.

Why is poor Avery is literally hiding under the broadcast desk now, afraid that I? I am going to be asking. I am not asking Avery. No, this is this is this is a scandal.

So we want to we want to keep Avery out of this. Um, okay.

So we get it that the youngsters, you know, Gen Z, they're a little freaky. We get that, but I am sorry, but if you are in your fifties, is that something that's normal for people in their fifties? Because I am just telling you. I I just I'm shocked. I'm shocked by this.

I don't know. I mean, could you imagine? I mean, these this would be like your grandparents sexting. I just so again. If you know these things are out there, you have one of there are one of two things to do.

First of all, I think it's bad for all the people that came out and endorsed you and supported you, because you know, I mean, we don't know everything, but something like that might be a good idea to say, you know, by the way, before just a heads up, they might want to check your text messages.

So, so you have some choices there. Do you do you step out of the race? Do you do you decide not to run in the first place? I mean, what is a what is a good Baptist to do?

So anyway, I at face value, I don't think this changes the dynamics of the race. I really don't. But then again, who knows? But what I do know is it's going to get ugly because President Trump has come out and he has endorsed the senator, the state senator, and as a result of that, well. You know, there's going to be there's going to be a national there's going to be national national implications to all of this.

So look, well, I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this. All of our KWM listeners in Memphis, Tennessee, this news just breaking, and the Nashville scene broke the story. I it's it's just a it's a shock, and you say, Todd, why would you talk about something like this on the air?

Well, because I would do it if it was a Democrat. That's the reason why, and I think that the senator probably needs to. He needs to hold a press conference. I think we need to. And my other question is, what else is out there?

Is there anything else out there?

So it's just it's really sad and a very disappointing because the senator has really done, I think, an admirable admirable job. Bringing bringing Memphis back from the brink, and he deserves credit for that. But you gotta, jeez, Lou, Dylan. Even this is why I don't even go to the beach, and if I do, I'm wearing I'm wearing Dockers. Yeah, yeah.

Don't even catch yourself anywhere without clothes, Todd. Yeah, just unless you're in your own private space. Not even the shower.

Okay. Not even give me a bathrobe.

Now it's just paranoid. Wow! What um... what a shocking story. All right, so there you have that.

Meanwhile, in South Carolina, by the way, our telephone number nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. In South Carolina, another story is percolating. Congressman Ralph Norman is.

Now saying he will not be supporting Darlene Graham in her run for the Senate, his family is not supporting her. This was certainly a very, very. Ugly, ugly primary battle there, and it looks as though this could end up dividing more of the Republicans.

Now, here is the reality of the situation: you can do that, but at that point, you're going to be electing a Democrat to the Senate. I mean, that's just the reality of that.

So, are you folks in South Carolina okay with that, or should Ralph Norman should he have just kept his objections quiet and gone on with his life? I love I love Congressman Norman. I think he's done a tremendous job. Member of the House Freedom Caucus, and he's been out there fighting the good fight. I think he was done dirty by the Trump administration.

I do think the president should have stayed out of that particular race and let the people of South Carolina duke it out. Darlene Graham is not qualified, in my estimation, to be a senator. She's just not. She does not have. She does not have the skill set.

Necessary aside from the fact that her her brother was Lindsey Graham, who had his own issues.

So all that to say, when push comes to shove, here, ladies and gentlemen, I do believe the Republicans are are going to win in in the midterms. I believe that.

However, we could sabotage ourselves, and that's something that we've also got to come to terms with.

So we've got to play smart politics here. All right, got to take a break. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Our telephone number that's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. And if you are calling this program, please wear pants.

Remember back in 2020 when the media narrative was absolute. When anybody suggesting early alternatives was instantly silenced and deplatformed. The late Doctor Zev Zelenko was right at the epicenter of it all when he created ZStack and the Zelenko Protocol. He took immense heat for sharing his protocol, specifically designed to boost your immune system. Even President Trump himself cited him in a press briefing regarding what.

Wouldn't become known as the Zelenko Protocol, which led to Trump himself adopting it.

Now I just saw the video on X and saw it for myself. Amazing! Every key ingredient behind those protocols was meticulously chosen based on rigorous research at the exact doses that matter.

Now, over five years later, history has completely vindicated him.

Now we all know how critical a strong immune system is, and if you've ever felt helpless. Watching the headlines, hear this: You are not powerless. There is something you can do about it. ZStack gives your body the foundational immune support it needs to help fight off whatever is circulating out there. Don't wait for permission to take charge of your immune system.

And now they have the biggest discount they've ever offered. Get started today for just four ninety five plus shipping and handling. Get the biggest discount in their history at ZStackLife dot com slash starns. Again, that's ZStackLife dot com slash starns. Dylan, I feel gross and disgusting.

I want to take a shower. Is is that permissible? I just, I just don't know what else to do. No, Todd, you're still in public. You have to go back to your quarters too, sweet lord.

Welcome back, everybody. This is the Tom Sterns Radio Show.

So, look, coming up a little bit later on, we're going to get into this with our good friend Mary Walter. But the the White House has fired back over Barack Obama's comments about, and again, this is coming from over the weekend about the. Renovations done at the White House, which are incredibly beautiful, and I've been inside the new Oval Office, and it's just—it's really breathtaking.

So Obama said it was like Saddam Hussein designed a cheesecake factory, and I just have to say, first of all, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is brilliant because apparently this guy who's got more money than you know than God, he loves to eat at the cheesecake factory, and so yesterday he ate at the cheesecake. Cheesecake Factory. Here's the Treasury Secretary. Hi, Mr. Secretary.

It's an interesting lunch choice today. What did you order, Cheesecake Factory? I have what I always had: the French Dip Cheeseburger. Excellent. And so, recent news: we've got former President Obama comparing White House decorations or construction to the Cheesecake Factory, saying it looks like Saddam Hussein opened Cheesecake Factory.

Any reactions to that?

Well, two things. This is the man who built the the museum. It looks like Darth Vader's tomb, and I would just tell the I had a great meal, always have a great meal, and I would tell the Martha's Vineyard set to give it a try.

Okay. Okay. And what are your thoughts on the midterms thus far, and how Republicans are faring? I've been out on the campaign trail with the president, and there's great enthusiasm. Yeah, so good for you, good for you, Scott Besson.

I wrote this on X, and it was interesting. Mike Gallagher actually read my tweet on the air earlier this morning, and I want to share it with you. I didn't mean for it to go viral, but over I think six hundred thousand people have already shared it. It's slightly viral, and here's what I wrote: again, showing how disconnected is Barack Hussein Obama is from the average American for. Years eating at Cheesecake Factory or Olive Garden or Red Lobster was a special occasion for many American families.

There was a time when Americans did not go out to eat that much as a family. It was a luxury reserved for a graduation or maybe an anniversary or a job promotion.

Meanwhile, Barack Hussein Obama and his spouse regularly dine at upscale restaurants around the world, including one three Michelin star. Restaurant where the tasting menu starts at three hundred and ninety dollars per person, and another restaurant that serves one hundred and seventy-five dollar steaks. A side of condescension cost extra. No smelly Walmart people or bitter Americans clinging to their guns and religion in Obama's puffed-up world. And it's true.

And I'll just say this: and look, many of us cannot afford a luxury like Obama once had. Obama, you might remember, actually had a private chef until the chef died mysteriously at Obama's secluded mansion. No, Dylan. I'm not suggesting anything. I'm just saying that it's you can Google it.

The guy's dead. He wasn't buck naked though. That was the other rumor, but he was not buck naked.

So anyway, just want to throw that out there. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Our telephone number. That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Coming up, very excited to talk with Josh Jones, our chief political strategist.

Will be along. A new Fox News Power Poll out. And I'm telling you, folks, just if we just get across the finish line, we're going to be fine.

So, but we're going to go through all of the data coming from Fox News.

Now, also a little bit later on, one of the Catholic priests who prayed over President Trump in the Oval Office is now apologizing. We're going to tell you why the Bishop of Milwaukee apologized. Also, Father Frank Pavone, our good buddy, is going to be here. He has some thoughts. On these far left woke priests and the outrage that's caused because they simply prayed over the president of the United States, unbelievable.

All right, going to take your calls coming up. We're going to be talking to our good buddy Bill Maine from WDUN. Our telephone number nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. This is the Todd Stern Show, broadcasting live from Gainesville, Georgia.

See website for details. Oh my gosh! Dylan, I I just I've got to tell you about this morning.

So I'm we're broadcasting here in in downtown Gainesville, which is I feel like I'm the star of a Hallmark movie.

So I've got my cardigan sweater on, and I've got the the the Dockers, and I'm walking around the square getting some coffee. And I went to my favorite hot dog joint right before the show, the Collegiate Grill, which is right around the corner from the radio station. I just And I wasn't robbed or mugged. There were no homeless people asking me for cash. I I felt like I was in a in a different universe.

That is nice when you can actually walk outside and feel okay doing so. Yes.

So I and this is this is like the world that Bill Maine lives in. He is the executive vice president and general manager of WDUN and one of the coolest guys I know. Oh my goodness, Bill! I don't know a lot of guys. Yeah, I don't know many at all.

So first of all. Wow! Thank you for all the great hospitality and what a great town you guys have here.

Well, thank you much. Thanks for your kind words and thanks for coming to visit us here for sure. We enjoy it every time you're in town. It's a lot of fun. A lot of folks love to have you here.

It's you know one of the things about WDUN, you know, you guys were the very first show to pick up my national show when I left Fox.

So I really appreciate that. And you didn't charge me an arm and a leg either. I thought I was going to have to do some pay for play or something. You were good. You were good.

We we just really. Wanted to have you here and be able to to give you a home, and you know, I remember giving you that call. I was on a Georgia Association of Broadcasters trip to South Georgia or wherever, and I'm standing on the pavement. It's 95 degrees, and I'm talking to you in a tie and a jacket. I'm like.

Going, I gotta finish this conversation. If I get back in the air conditioning, I'm from the south, but I do melt. I don't sweat; I perspire. I love it. I glisten.

And you guys, I mean, there's just oh my gosh! I mean, there's some great. The radio station has some some great history behind it. Of course, Jim Bohannon, I believe, used to do his show from your studios. Jim Bohannon, Jim Bohannon, when he was on vacation, sometimes if his ISDN failed.

He would call us up because he was in Hartwell. That's where they had a home, and that's where he retired to. And he would call and say, "Hey, can I just come down to the show down there for a couple of days?" Sure, we set him up in the studio like we did you. And I love Jim O'Ann; he was one of my favorite guys. And of course, some old school radio guys, you know Ludlow Parch and the Fun Seekers Network.

We've had them. We've had them in our at our other studio. We've had them there, and our we actually set them up in the conference room because we had so many people coming by one to meet him. I can only imagine. And Ludlow was kind of like the.

I mean, he was just the real deal. Oh yeah, absolutely was Ludlow. I I don't know with Ludlow, you never knew how many the stories were true and how many were made up. It didn't matter because they were all good. It's kind of like it's kind of like Jerry Clower, yes, in a way.

Yeah, he very much a radio Jerry Clower, and his producer Denny was a super guy who really took care of him. I remember one of the nicest things I got a note out of the blue from Louis Gresard's widow, and of course Louis Gresard was a great. Great writer, Southern humorist. I let me just jump in real fast about Louis Gizard and my inspiration from him when I was. Twelve, thirteen, fourteen.

My father, who had retired from chasing bootleggers, he was a revenue. He delivered the afternoon paper, the Atlanta paper, and so we would go there at lunchtime to get the paper and fold them up and get them ready to go. And the first thing everybody did—I mean, to a man—they didn't turn to the sports section first. Everybody grabbed the paper and read what Lewis had to say, and then you read the rest of the paper before you delivered it. That's what I did, you know.

Yeah, that was that was Lewis is so much a part of our culture here, you know. And I think I think a good argument for one of the ways newspaper. Papers kind of went by the wayside as they didn't have those must-read columns, you know, that must-read material in the papers anymore. But but but she called you.

So yeah, so she called me. I think it was after my first book came out, which was an homage to to Lewis. They popped my hood and found gravy on the dipstick. And she had somebody got her a copy of the book, and she loved the book. And she asked for my address, and she sent me all the.

I've got an entire library of all of Lewis's books. That's incredible. Which is cool. It's very cool. But whenever I write a book, I send them Lewis's just to make sure I didn't like you know accidentally plagiarize because you know I mean those are some killer lines you know a great book title he could turn a phrase and just Lewis was just was just so great but you know and so much a part of of my growing up and the way that I write I don't write as much as you do but when I do it's kind of in that vein and that.

Book was the first interview that we did with you on the air. Wow, I remember that, and we caught up with each other off the air, going, "Oh, well, you had a Georgia tie," and we kept talking about that. And we just, you know, when you started to do your national show, it was like, "We got to have this guy. He's one of us." So trying to, you know, you don't want to try to ever emulate anybody, but you know, we have a little bit of Rush, a little bit of Ludlow, a little bit of even Martha Zoller, you know, who I knew before I even started doing radio, and of course. We lost Martha.

She was such a really a huge part of W T U N. She bailed me out big time when she first when we first invited her to be on the radio back in the nineties. I was hosting midday, and I'll be honest with you, I did not like it. I just I didn't like the arguments, the controversy, and I was doing a morning show at the same time on the music station, and I was writing all the commercial copy, so it was I had enough to do. But Martha came on and sat in on the show, and she said, "I'd love to come back." I said, "Sure." So she came back two days a week, and then finally, it was like three days a week, and I said.

Why don't you just take the show? And so she did, and then of course she left for a little while. She ran for Congress. She worked other places, and we actually had a courtship of about five years before she came back. It was she would call and go, "I think I want to come back.

Do you have a place?" I'm like, "I don't have a place." I would call and go, "I got a place." She goes, "I really don't want to stop what I'm doing," and so finally it all came together, and she came back, and I was just so pleased that she did. You know, when when you you think about about radio and you. I think the corporations have come in and really hurt our industry. I agree. They've taken a lot of the flavor.

And when you listen to WDU, and you get North Georgia. When you listen to KWM in Memphis, you get Memphis. And I think the same can be said a lot about a lot of the other locally owned radio stations. They keep telling us our industry is dying. I just I don't see it.

I maybe it's changing here and there, but at the at the heart of it, I think we're all about community. Yes, indeed. The pendulum swings; it really swung toward the digital for a while, and it's still there. But it's come back a little bit, and I think some of the younger folks. I read an article the other day about folks in the Gen Z category kind of rediscovering audio, but not just audio through podcasts.

Rediscovering local audio, which is radio. But I will say this about radio, and this is a firm feeling: there's a place for national shows. Obviously, I couldn't imagine DUN without your show and what you bring to it. But at the same time, you need to have that local tie-in. And for us, my feeling on radio is, a radio when you look at the radio, it should be looking at a mirror of your community.

And if you, as a listener, don't see yourself in that mirror, we're not doing something right. That's it's a great point. Bill Maine joining us, the EVP and General Manager of W T U N. One of the things we try to do on our national show, and this is the greatest compliment, is we go into a town and people are like, "Oh, where do you live?" You know, they think you. I live in their community, and that's kind of what we want to do.

Even though it's a national show, I we sort of treat it as a terrestrial front porch, you know, where folks just come and sit down and have a conversation. People want to have a chance to have their say. I mean, we do a lot of local topics on our shows, but we need the national shows where they can also have a say in what's going on around the country. Not that we don't talk about some national issues, obviously, but yeah, and that's what you should create, and people should be able to see something of their own town. But you have an advantage, I think, over a lot.

Of talk show hosts, in the fact that a lot of the places that you broadcast, that you you have stations, you go there, you've been there, you know people there, so you have a flavor of the community. I mean, you came and spent time in Gainesville when we brought the show back, and so you know you you kind of know what's going on. One of my favorite stories: we were in. Waterloo, Iowa. Jeff Stein, who is one of our fill-in hosts, and they had that huge fifty thousand watt blowtorch.

And there, there are no hills, so you could be in Montana and listen to KXCL. But we did something at the cattle, the cattle palace, I think is the name of it, which is the where they have all the cows and auctions and pigs. Yeah.

So, but we were at a, we were just it had been a long day, and and Stein was like, hey. There's a group of Republicans. They're having their annual sloppy Joe dinner in some small Iowa town, and I'm like, "Let's let's go!" Yeah.

So we're in the we're in the the radio station van, trucking down the highway, and it was a it was a good sloppy Joe. I think the the the big huge pot was about as big as the broadcast desk. Oh my goodness! We had a hot tub of sloppy Joe, but we were sitting on the cafeteria, you know, the cafeteria auditorium where they had the you know, you're sitting on the little round stools and just having a good. Time with folks, and of course you get the every school smells the same.

Whatever that school smell is, whatever it is, yeah, and you can tell when it's spaghetti day. Yes, yes. My favorite day was on Fridays. Not every Friday, but when you got out of lunch, you would fish on Fridays. But the rest of Friday, you had the cardboard pizza.

Oh, gotta love the. But you got to get the end piece. That was the the square pizza. Is is as close to real pizza crust as you could get.

So you host the morning show too. Yes.

So what is a typical? I mean, it's like you work. Multiple hours of the day. You know, I just love what I do, and that's that's the thing that everybody gives. But I really have no life.

No, I get up at three thirty. I get here at four thirty. I'm on there at five thirty. Off at nine to the office to my real job, which is scheduling and royalty payments and all those sorts of normal manager things. And then supposedly at three three thirty, I'm out of here.

But usually it's four five o'clock depending. But you know when you're having a good time. It's a lot to be done, but I enjoy what I do. Speaking of politics, which we were talking about earlier, here in Georgia, big races, gubernatorial race, the Senate races. How do you see all this going?

What are folks talking about? I've been talking with some folks who are out there on the campaign trail with with the Rick Jackson bus right now. They're in South Georgia, and what I'm hearing from them on the Republican side is troubling to me because what they're saying is we're seeing a lot of voter turnout. And the early voting, and it's really exciting. Most of it coming in the metro areas.

The metro areas traditionally going to be going for the Dems, and that's just what we've seen in the past elections. The rural counties and towns are the ones that are really going to the right side of the aisle, and they're telling me that the folks in South Georgia and Middle Georgia is not voting, not not getting in the early voting. They're just not fired up. Why is that a problem for the Republicans? Because the Atlanta, Athens, especially Savannah, Columbus, Macon—they're all going to go for the Dems, and there's that's where the population concentrations are.

You only have 35 percent of registered voters in Georgia that are in the rural areas. Wow! So, so you're talking about a big chunk of your Republican vote is down in South Georgia. You've got a good potential. Most most of the rural folks vote Republican.

What's I've always been curious about about the gubernatorial race, and we were talking about this yesterday. Brian Kemp gets huge numbers, won by landslide, and yet you guys have two Democrat senators. Go figure. Part of that is not good candidates, in my opinion. No knock for you folks who voted for the Republican side.

I did as well, but just the candidates were not as strong as I could have been, and I really say. Ralph Warnock is is Raphael Warnock is a formidable force. I don't know that you're going to have to have an exceptional candidate to get him out. I think John Ossoff right now is not beatable, but I think eventually, what we're seeing also to your point about what these folks are seeing on the trail, they're seeing split ballot. You're seeing people voting for Rick Jackson.

Republican for governor, and then they're voting for John Alsop for Senate. Is that right? Yeah.

Wow. You're seeing a lot of split valley. At least that's what we're hearing from the ground. All right.

Well, Bill Maine, we we just appreciate what you guys do here, and the whole. Can we just talk real quick about the downtown location because you guys already had a really nice setup, but you guys relocated to downtown. This whole revitalization of the square, and it's just unbelievable.

Well, thanks. We we love it. Doug Ivester, of course. Built this building we're in. Coca Cola guy.

He was on this very plot of ground in 1996, bringing the Olympic torch in because he was head of Coke at the time. And but we were at for our 75th anniversary. It's what we wanted to do. We were out having breakfast at Waffle House on Friday. Jay and Sandy and I.

And Jay said, "Hey, would it be cool if we had a downtown studio for a 75th?" And I'm like, "I've always wanted a storefront studio. Yeah, that'd be great." So we literally, after we had breakfast, drove downtown and started looking around and. And he said, "There's an empty spot in the Ivester Building. We'll call Doug." And it just went from there. I love it.

What a great story! It's so exciting.

Well, earlier, a couple of old timers were walking by. They stopped. They looked and made eye contact. And the guy, like. Put his face to the glass, and he was like, "It's you," and I said, "It's me," and off they went.

So yeah, we have a lot of folks. We have a lot of folks that I get to know. Terrence, who delivers for the food purveyors who supply the restaurants, I see him in the morning twice a week, and I open the door and chat with him. Love it. Yeah, it's just great.

It's great. All right, tonight five o'clock. It's going to be a lot of fun. Big book signing. Big book signing.

Going to be at Long Street Cafe. By the way, General Long Street. Is what Longstreet Cafe is named after. He lived in Gainesville and had a hotel here. Is that right?

I sure did. Confederate war general, exactly. It's to about three blocks from where we are to to the the south.

Well, yeah, yeah, and that's and his house used to be across the street from where Longstreet is in the empty lot.

So be there with us. A lot of great food. It's going to be fun. And I want you to come by, meet Todd, buy a book, get it signed, or just meet Todd and have a good meal. All right, Bill May, good to see you, my friends.

All right, folks. Great, great guy. Great radio station. Good people here. We're going to take a quick break.

It's important because to me, this man was my very first vote vote that I cast. As my biggest thing about him. This man is 80 years old, and he's doing what he's doing. It's amazing. He's the greatest president of my lifetime.

I think ever. He's the greatest president. It's very important. I'm happy. I'm happy he's here with us.

I'm happy to be here at this rally to support him. And you know, he doesn't have to do it. That's the thing. He chooses to do it. He chooses to do it, and that's what's insane.

This man is a billionaire. He's 80 years old. He can go live his life out somewhere. Not, but he's. He chose to stay in a political fight and fight for us.

I know he's been shot at. He's had all these things happen to him, and he's still standing. That must mean something to you. That means a lot to me, and I wish a lot more people my age will see that and understand it.

Well, we have a lot of Gen Zers out here today. I'm one myself. And so, what would you say to young people who may not be involved or who maybe don't pay attention? What would be your message to them? Pay attention because this world we're living in, you' gonna you' gonna have a lot of lessons to learn.

Learn from what's right, from what's right, and what's wrong. You understand? Just like this president, he has awoken a lot of people's eyes since 2016. And like I said, I'm happy that I casted my very first vote for him.

Well, that young man was at the big rally in Corinth, Mississippi, last night, and it thousands of people turned out. By the way, the president was just really, really in hog heaven. Afterwards, he was back at Air Force One and talking, just really raving about the good people of Mississippi. But what really, what really stood out for me was not the crowd inside, but the crowds that had gathered along the. The streets, hoping to catch a glimpse of the president and the motorcade, the beast, folks.

That tells me that there is a lot of excitement. And I know that the Fox News Power Poll came out earlier this morning and suggested that most people, I think forty-four percent, was not most, but forty-four percent of voters said they cast a ballot in early voting against President Trump.

So we don't know if that means they're all voting Democrat or or what. And again, if people are out there telling you, "Well, there's a massive blue tsunami," there is actually no evidence of that other than the polling data, because only a handful of states actually monitor or track the numbers of specific Republicans and specific Democrats that are getting out to the polls.

So, really, it's just conjecture. And I have to tell you, part of what I'm telling you is conjecture, but I I'm just providing you the visuals. And if people are really Turned off by Trump in, for example, Corinth, Mississippi. They're not showing it. And I will say that I think there were a there was a huge contingent from Tennessee there.

When the president gave Marsha Blackburn a shout out, the crowd went nuts.

So anyway, the president, the Mississippi senator Cindy Hyde Smith, the president invited her up to say a word, and she says, "Isn't this the greatest president?" And just like laughed, and the president's like, "Wait, what? Where'd you go, Cindy?" And he he said normally he said normally these guys they stay up there for ten minutes and you're like come on pal this is not your rally so he said he really loves Cindy but I think Cindy forgot her speech anyway ah wow all right hang tight everybody we've got to take a quick break Ennis Freedom. Is coming up next. We're going to talk to him about the WNBA and a big rally happening outside of Nashville. This is the Todd Stern Show.

We'll be right back, everybody. Broadcasting coast to coast and border to border from Memphis, Tennessee. That's us. That's right. I love this American ride.

Todd Star.

Well, hello everybody. Welcome to the Todd Star. Radio show hour two underway. Hope you're having a great day wherever you might be across America. We're broadcasting live from WDU N in Gainesville, Georgia.

Great radio station, great people. And tonight, five o'clock Eastern, we'll be doing our big book signing. Come by and have supper with us over at Long Street Cafe. Going to be a lot of fun, and look forward to seeing you there. All right.

Our telephone number nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. You just heard from Bill Maine from WDUN talking about the situation in South Georgia, which is really a strong area of the state for Republican voters, and there has been a lackluster turnout there in Georgia. Separately, I had heard that there. There has been a lot of concern over the lack of state party effort to get out the vote in that area of the state.

Now we're hearing, you know, again other reports of high Democrat turnout in states like Texas and now in South Carolina, where Congressman Ralph Norman is causing controversy by saying that he will not be supporting or endorsing. Yeah.

Darlene Graham.

So look, here's the deal, folks, and this goes for you folks in Texas as well. You have a lot of MAGA voters in South Carolina who probably will not vote or who may not vote for Darlene Graham, and that's okay. You're going to elect a Democrat. Are you okay with that? There's a situation in Texas where all of you establishment folks are butt hurt that John Cornyn lost, so you're not going to be supporting Ken Paxton.

That would be Carl. Rove and the Bush family, among others. That means that James Tullofrico could be your next U.S. senator. Are you okay with that?

Now, ladies and gentlemen. I think it's time for us to have a grown-up conversation about this chaos in the Republican Party. You guys have to get over it. You have to understand that the most important thing this election cycle is stopping the rise of communism in America. That's it.

But if you want to play these games, then you're going to end up with a Democrat-controlled House and a Democrat-controlled Senate. There's really no other way around it.

So I just want. Want to warn you ahead of time that there are consequences to all of this. In the meantime, ladies and gentlemen, get out and vote. That is the biggest issue of the day, President Trump. Out on the campaign trail, he's going to be doing two rallies today in Texas.

The president, by the way, talking about well, here we go. Cut number eighteen. This is from the president's speech last night in Corinth, Mississippi. If you elect a Republican House and a Republican Senate on November third, so important, we will continue to put America first every single day. We will win the war on corruption and fraud led by our great Vice President J.D.

Vance. We will pass the No Invasion of Our Country Act, prohibiting any future president from ever opening our borders to illegal immigrants again. We will ban sanctuary cities and pass the death penalty for large-scale drug dealers, human traffickers, and anyone who kills a police officer or a member of law enforcement. We will pass the Voter Identification, Proof of Citizenship, and Save America Act to defend our American elections from theft and fraud. And we will enshrine in permanent law no men in women sports and no transgender mutilation of your children.

Yeah, I mean he's laying it out there, and I thought did a terrific job of doing so. May I just, as a brief aside here, the president looks exhausted, and he has been. Working around the clock. I will say this: if Republican candidates worked as hard as Donald J. Trump has been working, we would be winning all of these races in landslide numbers.

I, I have, I mean, Trump literally is making this entire political season about himself, and I. I will just say this: I'm, you know, the man's what, eighty years old. He's, I'm just concerned about his his health and his stamina. I mean, a man can only do so much, and President Trump is putting it all on the line. And and it, I mean, there's a source of pride and admiration about that, but also there's a point of concern that the president is putting his health in jeopardy here.

And it bothers me because I see a lot of Republican candidates out there who are just—they're just phoning it in. I don't. Have you seen that? Have you noticed that some of these candidates are just phoning it in? I mean, President Trump crisscrossing the entire nation, going to Alaska.

The president doing two events. I mean, he was got in at the dead night last night after being in Mississippi.

Now to Texas for two events there. I mean, the the president is putting it all on the line for the country, and I'm just a little.

So, my encouragement would be for you to pray for our president. I know his his voice is a little raspy, and of you know, when you're doing these kinds of events and you're doing these kinds of rallies, your voice is going to get raspy. I'm just shocked he still has a voice. But I'm just curious, ladies and gentlemen. About about the president, and I hope that you take a moment, take a moment, and and pray for him, and pray for his health, and pray for his safety out there, because there are very bad forces at at work here.

All right, our telephone number nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. We're going to be taking your calls on that, as well as this crazy story involving Cracker Barrel. I said Cracker Barrel, the Cheesecake Factory. Why did I have Cracker Barrel on my mind?

Let me just say this: the Democrats. This is why. This is why I think the Democrats are going to lose. They don't get you people. They don't get the folks in flyover country.

And we are going to be getting Ennis Freedom on the show a little bit later on, and we'll tell you about that in just a few moments. We had a little slight hiccup there, but we will be getting Ennis on the show. But I want to talk about this this flyover country story because there's a lot for us to to extrapolate from what Obama was talking about the other day when he went off on President Trump and the White House.

Now, here's the original comment from. D. H. Obama—that's Barack Hussein Obama. Cut number five.

So when you go through all this, that the tally of promises, things have not worked out the way we might have expected. Although I must say, I did expect it. And and and let's be honest. Does anybody really think this guy in the White House right now is spending all that time thinking about these issues? I mean, I don't know if you've noticed, but he seems very focused on home renovations.

He should be on HGTV. Guys building a ballroom that's bigger than the White House. It's paved over the rose garden. Put a helicopter pad on the south lawn, and and there's gold everywhere. What's up with the gold?

Everything, more gold. He's got the white ass looking like Saddam Hussein. Open a cheesecake factory. Just gold. You know, this guy is is just sleaze.

Just sleaze. Obama is. He turned he turned the White House into into a a shabby little house. There were no upgrades done. There were no repairs made.

And quite frankly, it's exactly what you would expect of someone living in Section Eight housing. It's just really appalling the condition that Obama and George W. Bush and Bill Clinton and the auto pin president they left the White House in shambles, turning our beloved White House into I don't know some sort of a slum, and along comes Donald Trump, and by the way, Trump actually did a beautiful job of of just shredding. Barack Obama, cut number twenty-two, please. Further response to Obama, who made fun of the Chief State Factory, comparing it to the White House in your decoration.

Yeah, you know. I've taken care of the White House. I fixed it with the finest artisans in the world. We reskinned it. It was in horrible shape.

A lot of the ornaments and the things that were originally built on the White House were missing, or damaged, or gone for a long time. They were laying on the ground in some cases. And it was in terrible shape. The exterior plaster was broken, cracked. The painting was terrible.

And I reskinned the building beautifully with the highest, most talented people anywhere in the world. You're not going to find one down. And the White House looks beautiful. And guys like Obama, they would pass the front door. They'd see the broken masonry.

They'd see the broken, the beautiful pilasters. We're all broken. For years they were broken, and he wouldn't notice because he doesn't notice that. He doesn't notice dirt and filth that hadn't been cleaned, where the walls hadn't been cleaned for years. He doesn't notice areas that haven't been painted.

So it's very easy for me to do. I do it very, very simply because it's my nature. You know, very clean person. And the White House was in terrible shape. The White House is now in the best shape it's been since seven.

Ninety-two when it was built, it's in beautiful shape. You take a look at it; it looks beautiful, and I'm proud to do it. Yeah, look, the the president understands that the white has not about Donald Trump. It's about the White House, and it's about the White House being a symbol of American greatness and American exceptionalism. That that that that's what this is all about.

I mean, you don't you don't want to be showing pictures of the White House and one of the columns is falling over and cracked, and you got bats coming out of the the belfry there, and you got rats running around. And no, you know nobody wants to see that. The smell, no, and I'm just going to tell you, ladies and gentlemen, when I walked into the Oval Office, it smelled pristine. The Oval Office itself was one that it just really exuded American greatness and American power. And you compare Obama's White House to what Trump has done, and it's you'll understand when you see the photos side by side.

You get it. You understand. But I want to go back to the the Cheesecake Factory line for a minute. This guy just really angers me. This Barack Hussein Obama talking about you, Rust Belt people, said you cling to your guns, you cling to your religion, you're better Americans.

Hillary Clinton, the basket of deplorables. Joe Biden called you the dregs of society. The list goes on and on. They despise you people. They loathe you people in flyover country.

Remember Peter Struck and Lisa Page, the disgraced FBI. The text messages talking about the smelly Walmart people.

So when Barack Obama just throws in the cheesecake factory, that was a slap against every one of you fine working class and middle class Americans out there. He knew exactly what he was saying with that line, and it's disgusting. But, ladies and gentlemen, they just don't get us, and they never, ever will. The the Democrat Party is an uppity party full of highbrow, far left communists. That's that's who they are.

All right, we've got to take a break. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six, our telephone number. That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. This is the Todd Stern Show. All right, welcome back, everybody.

It is the Todd Stern's radio show. Let's go to the phone lines. Danny in Selmer, Tennessee, wants to talk about early voting. Danny, what's on your mind? Hey, good afternoon, sir.

Um, I just my thought process. I thought I'd share. I don't normally share that much, but I would thought. I would share it might help somebody out make decisions. I've never early voted before, but I think with the turmoil in the country right now, with the the DSA, you know, the threat of socialism, communism, and and the Islamists, Muslimists, whatever, where they're silently taking over the country, where people may not even realize that.

I think it's really important to get out and vote. And get your vote in there and preserve our country for what it is. And just in case, since I'm older, I got some health issues, and shoot, if my car doesn't start or something like that, I want to make sure I got my vote in.

So I happen to be in town. I live where I happen to be in town, so I wanted to stop by, got my vote in, just in case something happens on election day. I've never done it before, and I think that this this election. With all the turmoil going on in the country, I think this election is just as important, if not more important, than a presidential election. And we need to get out there and vote.

For you know, to put it in a phrase, you know, instead of I'm not totally happy with what Republicans are doing, but let's call the horse that's leading us in the cart not doing a very good job. But instead of setting it setting in the buggy. And whipping on the horse, we need to get out and and start pushing on the cart and make it happen and help that horse to do what it needs to do.

So we gotta get out in the boat and support this. Yeah, look, Danny. I think you're you're speaking a lot of common sense to the nation right now, and and I think that's a a really smart and really a wise way of looking at things. And that's really where I was listening to another talk radio host today, and he was really he was belittling Republicans who were who said they were not going to vote because you know Trump has betrayed the country on MAGA, you know, in Iran, and you know high gas prices, and I get. Look, I'm not going to do that.

That that's not what I'm going to do because those are all very legitimate concerns. The issue for me is there is an overarching concern, which is the rise of communism. And Danny, we've got to get a handle on that, and we cannot allow that to get a foothold in the U.S. Congress. We just can't do that.

Danny, thank you. Wise words from Selmer, Tennessee. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six is our telephone number. That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. By the way, this segment of the Todd Stern Show brought to you by our friends at Newsmax.

It's the Todd Sterns Radio Show. Happy to have you with us today. Coming up, we're going to be talking to Father Frank Pavone, with a priest for life, also in his freedom, former NBA star, soon to be. WNBA star—that'll be a fun conversation. And right now, though, I want to go to our Patriot Mobile NewsMaker line and talk to a rock star in and of himself, Josh Jones, our chief political strategist.

Josh, we are in the home stretch, my friend. You're right. We're reached out, pedal to the metal, and we're racing for the finish line at this point.

Well, let's let's talk about the big news. Fox News putting out their power poll earlier today, and according to Fox, the Ohio Senate and governor's races shifting to the Democrat column. We're hearing that in some places in Tennessee. This information just coming in that Democrats are far outpacing Republicans to the polls. What say you?

And what should we be paying attention to? Look, the polls aren't necessarily wrong. Democrats are showing up to vote. There's no doubt about that. If you look at some of these early voting trends around the country, they're showing up to vote.

Obviously, Democrats are more prone to you know vote earlier, vote by mail. Republicans more oftentimes vote on election day itself. With that being said, though, Republicans have or need to get out and vote an early vote because you never know something could pop up on election day where you can't make it to the polls.

So, if you can go early vote, you should do that. But otherwise, you know, show up on election day, and I think we'll see some good numbers for Republicans then. A majority of Americans are are frustrated with President Trump. That and that is influencing their vote. That's according to the Fox News Power poll that came out earlier today.

And I'm wondering if you see that. If you guys are sensing that among voters. Yeah, look. There's obviously the Democrats are fired up, and their motivating factor to come out to the polls is to you know go against Trump. This is the they see this as their opportunity to rebuke the Trump administration.

And look, there's a lot of Republican voters across the country who maybe aren't the most enthusiastic about going to vote for Republicans this November, based on you know maybe candidate quality or maybe they you know are more isolationist and they don't like the intervention in the Middle East. But beyond all of that, what I keep reminding candidates and voters alike is, you really have to draw a contrast with the Democrats here. I mean, let's not forget—just a couple years ago, we had Biden in a Democrat Congress, and look what that got us: record high inflation. You know, millions crossing the border, crime skyrocketing, and now the Democrats have turned over this new leaf where they're becoming socialist.

So it's really about drawing a contrast of what the Democratic parties became over the past couple of years. Because look, there's you know, people have reason. That's great. That in the day, somebody agree with eighty percent of the time is better than somebody you agree with five percent of the time. No, look, it's it's a fair point you raise.

The these approval ratings, and it's interesting. Fox actually broke this down. Trump approval before Iran versus now, and the president's approval rating hovering right around fifty percent back last year in twenty twenty five.

Now disapproval is at sixty four percent.

So it's very clear that you know there does seem to be that that is having some sort of an impact. The question is, is that driving Out more Democrats to show their disapproval, or are the Republicans just staying home? That's a great question. I think it's you know it's a little bit of a little bit of B. Democrats are showing up; they're fired up to go vote, and there's there's certain Republicans that are gonna you know maybe not show up on election day.

We need them to show up. I always tell people, look, the Republican Party is a big tent party. You have your more establishment, traditional Republicans. You have your MAGA. You have America First.

So look, and I think it's a compliment to the Republican Party. They have so many different ideas. Reality is: after you have that primary, you have to rally around the Republican candidate because, again, you know, someone you agree with 80 of the time is who you want in office, versus the Democratic socialist who you agree with maybe 5 of the time, totally uprooting the Constitution and how we run our government. Exactly. No, I I'm I'm with you a thousand percent there, and I think we've got to go back to you know again, Tim Walz.

This is the kind of Democrat we you know we are on the verge of electing. Cut number twelve, please. I think we need to push back on this. There's there's no guarantee of free speech on misinformation or or hate speech, and especially around our democracy.

So no guarantees to free speech.

Now you've got you know Hillary Clinton out there wanting a crackdown on conservative content in social media, and you've got Senator Slotkin out there suggesting that young conservatives like you, Josh Jones, who might be pro-Trump or might have voted for Trump or might even be working in the administration, should face some sort of a punishment because you are simply serving the conservative. Cause and Josh Jones, I don't want to see you hauled off to the gulag. I don't think I'll be getting taken out out to the gulag anytime soon. Here's God, you never know. Probably that's another section.

But you speak to the you know greater point. Is I've always viewed you know my Democrat counterparts as you know fair opponents on the battlefield of ideas. But it's clear that the Democrats don't have that same feeling towards us. You know, from wanting to scare young staffers, from getting involved in politics, to saying you don't have a right to free speech. I mean, these are fundamental American principles.

As much as the Democrats may dol at us that oh they're moderates they're not going to go down this path that's just a few radical elements in their party.

Well, the reality is, if if Democrats win these elections, a majority in the House of Representatives, Hakeem Jeffries is not going to stand up to the Socialist Communist Party. He's just going to bend to their will. That's true, Dylan. Turn your microphone on. I just thought I just had a visual, and this is this is why you've got to go and vote because you know what's going to happen.

They're coming after me. They're probably going to grant. I know they're coming after Deader up on Capitol Hill, and the poor Josh. You know, we're all going to be we're going to be working the cotton fields and in some godforsaken place like Idle in New Jersey. I do.

I do not want that for you, Todd. I don't want. No, that's no. I I can't do manual labor. Come on.

No, and they definitely don't have Dr. Pepper to give you once you're done. Like it's not going to end. Jeezaloo. Yeah, we'll get dirty water.

That's it. I tell you, these Democrats. I don't. I'm. I don't like them.

I don't like them because they will try to do something like this. That's what bothers me about all of this, guys. All right, Josh Jones. We have got a super bad phone connection, so we're going to have to get that sorted out, and we will reconnect with Josh. My apologies about that, ladies and gentlemen.

We're going to take a quick break here. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. This is the Don Stearns Show. All right, welcome back, everybody. This is the Todd Sterns Radio Show.

Let's go to Statesville, North Carolina. W S I C, our terrific affiliate. There, Walt is on the line. Walt, what's on your mind today? I'm just thinking that I know there's only a week more to go, but the Republicans should.

Recapture the idea of the contract with America, but in this case, in this election, and maybe the next one, or the next president, they should have a one-line, one-issue contract with America, saying they will pledge to keep the border closed, and then challenge every Democrat that goes up against any Republican to do the same. I love that idea, Walt. I know t here is been a lot of frustration out there, but is that has that played into your decision making when it comes to voting? No, because I know the Republicans are basically that way too. But you've got a big middle ground that doesn't know anything about any issue.

But if they see that if they see any crime or their benefits being reduced. They might start to tune in a little more. You know, well that that is an interesting observation you made. I forget who I was in some I'm in some local neighborhood community group chat thing, and I was just really appalled at the sheer ignorance of basic basic things about the midterm election, just basic knowledge about you know. You know what the party stood for.

It was. I'm just like, wow. This is this is not good. You know the the American people, the voters do have to. You have to educate yourself.

You know you you can't just be walking in there and just willy nilly voting for somebody. Too many vote for the party that their family votes for, their friends at work vote for, without knowing anything. Walt, it's it's good good guidance there. Thank you for that call. Let's go to Houston, Texas.

Tom is listening to us on Patriot Talk nine twenty today. Hi, Tom. What's on your mind? Hello, Todd. I'm bringing you a little field report here in Harris County.

Our early vote numbers as of last night were four hundred eighty thousand, and I wouldn't be surprised by this time today. About five hundred thousand, and the entire state is at almost four point seven million early voters. You know, I can tell you here in Harris County, previously we we would be at somewhere around two hundred to two hundred ten thousand.

So I pray and I hope that the inflated numbers are conservatives going to the polls because you know we. Definitely, wait till the final day. That's got to stop. You know, I don't agree with all this early voting, mail-in voting. Here, they even have drive-up vote voting, and they they did it.

One of them was 24 hours. They had a place you could just walk up to 24 hours vote. Oh wow! I'm all about I'm all about people being able to vote, but this just leads to corruption. But as I say, I pray and I hope that the increase, almost double, turnout so far, is going to be red voters.

Yeah, Tom. Tom, any indication thus far of of of who might be leading the charge here and getting out the vote? Is it Republicans, Democrats?

Well, that that's my point. Is as I said, typically previous. Midterms, the early voting numbers at this day, you know whatever we are, day five or eight of early voting, has been at just just about two hundred thousand, two hundred twenty, and two two ten, just seventeen, something like that. And like I say, we're almost at at half a million now.

So I'm hoping that the increase is red voters. And if if if you're not pressed for time, have you seen this in Sugar Land, Texas, the the father at a soccer game and won another. Guy with a half gallon of water, and he just fell to the ground like like a stiff forward. He was unconscious before he hit the ground. This was at a kid softball game.

And what does that have to do with the election?

Sorry, you lost me there for a second. Nothing. It's just something local. Oh, gotcha.

Okay. Put up with it.

Well.

Well, let's yeah, Tom. Let's stick with politics here. We'll look into that story, no doubt about that. But I do appreciate the call. I want to play some audio.

Here's a guy from Texas thanking the Democrats. Cut number nine, please. Texas, what's going on, Texas? Hey, hey, listen up! Quick PSA: The midterms are coming up, yeah, man.

And I just would like to take this opportunity to thank every Democratic. Leader, Democratic representative, I want to thank you all. It is because of you and the words that are coming out of your mouth that I am pushing everything red. I see. I don't care what name on that.

I'm put. If it's red, I'm put. All right.

Well, he's pretty fired up.

So I, those are the, and this is why, folks. This is why you just can't step out there and say there's going to be a blue wave or a red wave. You just never know. By the, but one thing we can tell you about a President Trump weighing in on the lovely ladies in Mississippi, cut number seventeen.

So now I say it's now I say it's my fifth favorite. Thank you. I love you too, darling. I have no idea where you are, but you sound good to me. Oh, there she is!

I do love you, actually. I look at her. Wow. Well, I'll get myself into political trouble. They have beautiful women in Mississippi.

I can tell you. We're all in trouble. They have look at these women. They're standing up. We love you, Donald.

We love you. This so beautiful. What's crazy? But you know, you're not allowed to say. I'm not allowed to say that a woman's beautiful because that's usually the end of your political career.

So I will not say it. Excuse me for saying that you're beautiful, darling. Beautiful, my. I hope you weren't insulted. It's how crazy, how crazy is the world?

Well, you know, it's Dylan. He's not wrong. We actually did some research here. The president making a really interesting claim that Mississippi women are beautiful, and so we, you are from Mississippi, Dylan.

So, can you attest to what the president had to say there? Yeah, I don't think there's anything wrong with uh with saying that women are beautiful or Mississippi women are beautiful.

So yeah, yeah, I don't. Yeah, I look more often than not. You're gonna have a you're gonna be hard pressed to find a you know a morbidly obese magenta haired woman with an nose ring running around Mississippi. I mean, maybe Jackson, but yeah, everywhere else is fine. But Jackson, avoid that.

But we did a little bit of research here because you know the president made a pretty interesting claim about the women of Mississippi, and it turns out, Dylan, you may be surprised to know this: that four women from Mississippi have won the Miss America pageant. That's pretty extraordinary. Four women, and overall, as a region. Twenty-eight Southern women have been crowned Miss America over the years. Yeah, not surprised at all by that fact at all.

Yeah.

So, because you know, the Southern women are first of all, they are beautiful, and many of them know how to. They're very gracious and graceful people, and. They know how to. They have a talent, whether it be you know setting a baton on fire and twirling it in the air, or I don't know. Maybe they they know how to cook, and they maybe that they they know how to shoot a gun.

Exactly. It's not just about looks. Very well rounded. Yeah, yeah. They got beautiful personalities.

That's. It's a well rounded beautifulness. Speaking of well-rounded, the bathing suits. I mean, you know, the southern women look good in bathing suits. Yeah, we we got the leg up on that one.

We're good. Yeah.

Yes, we do.

So, anyway, all that to say, Mister President, we we didn't mean to fact check you, but we wanted to because I suspected you were right, and Mister President, you are correct.

So consider that a positive fact check of President Donald J. Trump.

Southern women are the most beautiful in America. There you go. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Our telephone number. That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six.

All right.

Well, hello, everybody. Welcome to hour three of the Todd Sterns Radio Show. Happy to have you with us today, and all sorts, all sorts of news happening out there. We have, we have this item coming to us from Kid Rock. Kid Rock now says he is a woman and plans to enroll in the WNBA draft.

This is huge news. I don't even know can can Kid Rock play Dylan? I I have not heard of this. I have not seen his game yet. I don't.

I want to know how tall he is. Yeah, we gotta we've got to get some we've got to get some intel on that before we before we sign off on this and endorse Kid Rock for the WNBA. We we're we're gonna have to get some more intel. We don't need any more intel for our next guest, who hopes to be the next superstar WNBA player. He is participating in a rally with our good friend Senator Marsha Blackburn, a great American patriot, the next governor of Tennessee.

Also, Clay Travis is there. At this event in Hendersonville, and our next guest is as well, Ennis Cantor. Ennis, what an honor to have you on the program today! And man, congratulations, and God bless you for all the great things that have been happening.

Well, thank you for having me. It's an honor to join you guys, and I'm really excited to be here. Ennis, first of all, just want to get the very latest on the WNBA journey. Where are we at here? When can we expect to see you wearing a jersey?

I mean, we've been getting kicked out of the games for the last two game. I tried it since. I mean, the last game I tried it, and they didn't even let me sit on my seat. They just said, "Hey, we're gonna put you in a suite," which to me is a prison box. Which was, I was like, "There's no way I'm gonna be sitting in a prison box that you guys trying to put me on." But you know, I have every right to put my name on a draft, which I did.

So according to their rules. If you identify as a woman, you're allowed to play. And you know, around two months ago, I came out and said, "Hey, I'm a woman." Then, right?

So let's see what happens. The draft is in April, so it's going to be definitely a very interesting time period for me, and definitely for them as well. But here's what I appreciate: I mean, you're showing interest. I mean, you're showing up the games. You know, you want to do your part to support your, you know, your fellow ladies out there on the court.

Of course, you know they've been losing millions of dollars every year. You know, I think I am the answer to that.

So I'm just gonna go out there and make sure that you know every fan comes to watch the games. There is not gonna be any empty seats anymore. I just hope that they they select me for like a really really good team so I can win a championship. We well, we're going to hope and pray that that is the case, Ennis. I'm I'm curious to to hear your reaction about the the the WNBA stars.

They're apparently triggered by the Starspangle banner. They've been running off the court during the national anthem. What's your take on that? It's a shame, man. I mean, they have no idea.

These people have no idea how good they have it in this country, how blessed and lucky they are. Listen, I grew up under the dictatorship, right? I had no freedom of speech, no freedom of religion, no freedom of expression. I, you know, I have haven't seen my family almost fourteen years now.

So when you are fighting against these dictatorships, socialists, and communist countries, you realize that how blessed you are to be in a country like America.

So for that. That reason, man, I just I just hope that they understand because they're in the biggest stage out there, and you know millions of kids are looking up to these players.

So I just hope that you know somehow whoever the new commissioner is can set some rules that they can start respecting our flag, our country, and our veterans. I just, you know, we have a regular caller to our show. She escaped to the communist in Vietnam and came here as a child with nothing, and now she's a successful businessperson in the Houston area. And she calls in frequently, and she said just what you said. You know, she escaped from this this evil, and she is very concerned that we could see the rise of communism here on American soil.

What about you? I mean, yeah, percent. I mean, you see, like now from all like the social medias and the apps are, you know, this socialism is just being pumped, and they are brainwashing our children. They think it's cool right now, but I ask every single one of them, show me one country that socialism worked, you know.

So I think we have to keep America the way it is. We have to save America from these socialist-minded people. People, but I think it's I think it's their parents' job because now all these you know dictatorships are pumping this anti-American propaganda on these apps, like for example TikTok, right? And then you know when these kids are scrolling these videos, they just start. I mean, I organize a lot of basketball camps, and these kids are asking me about a lot of anti-American questions.

I'm like, where do you guys get this from? They said, well, social media and TikTok.

So I think parents need to definitely. Do their part and protect their kids. You know, as bad as the WNBA is on the national anthem, what LeBron James did, I just, for me, that just that really infuriated me as an American citizen. What about you? Listen.

This country gave him everything: his money, his career, his respect, dignity. This country gave him literally everything, and he knew that he just signed with a team. Right, that team was going to be the most watched season opener ever, which it became a most watched season opener ever. And then every kid, everyone's eyes was going to be on him, and he somehow decided to work on his golf swing during the. National anthem.

I mean, you get 20 minutes before the game to just warm up, right?

So you couldn't just stand there for like literally like a minute or two to respect our country. It's it's a shame, man. But I'm just glad that he's coming towards end of his career because I believe he is the reason that NBA is a walk minded environment. Ennis Freedom joining us on the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line today, and Ennis, you're you're part of this huge GOTV rally. Senator Marsha Blackburn has been one of the most ferocious defenders of protecting women and and women's sports.

That's going to be just a great event, and I'm just curious from your perspective, how important is it for folks like Senator Blackburn to be engaged in this fight to protect these female athletes? Athletes. You know, first of all, around five years ago, I'm sure you guys know that I got kicked out of the NBA because of I talk about the problems that were happening in China. And after I got kicked out of the NBA, like none of my teammates, my coaches, no one reached out. And I got this like a random call from Washington DC.

I was in I was in Boston, and it was Marshall Blackbird's office, and they said, "Hey, like for for you to know that." You know, senator supports you, and you know we would like for you to come here and just meet the senator. And then we had this like a five-minute interview with her. You know, that gave me so much hope, man. That gave me so much motivation. I'm like, wow, a U.S.

senator is actually supporting me. You know. And then after then, I was like, this is my time to pay respect. You know. So.

She's the only conservative in the ballot, and I think it's very important for people to know know that she stands with common sense and morality. And I think she's the only candidate candidate that is going to keep men out of women's la women's locker room, women's bathroom, and women's shower. I mean, I ask these questions to my teammates. I'm like, think about if your daughter, if your sister, if your wife, being in same spaces like bathroom or. Locker rooms or shower with a biological male, you know.

This player says, "I will wait outside and punch them in the face." So I think she is. She stands with morality. She stands with principles, and she stands with common sense. And to me, it was a no-brainer for sure.

Well, Ennis, we we know you're a busy man, and we sure do appreciate you taking a few moments to to to join us here on the national show. And we really respect the stand you are taking out there. and We do look forward to seeing you playing in the WNBA. I appreciate that man. That means a lot.

All right, the great Ennis Freedom, everybody, great patriot right there, and he's standing up for young girls all across America. And we got to give a shout out to Senator Marsha Blackburn. Let me tell you something: she is a fierce warrior, and she has proven over her career as a state lawmaker, in Congress, in the Senate, and soon to be in the governor's mansion, that she is going to. Stand up for the young female athletes of America, and that is something that I greatly appreciate. All right, we've got to take a quick break here.

Our telephone number nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. This is the Todd Stern Show. All right, welcome back, everybody. This is the Todd Sterns Radio Show, and we are working to get State Senator Brent Taylor on the show this hour.

So we'll let you know if that happens. We are working through all of that with his team. No, tell him we're not texting. Stop, stop. You stop.

You stop. Too soon. Too soon. Oh, geez. All right.

I want to go right away to the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line. This is just a ridiculous story, and shame on shame on this Catholic bishop. You got the bishop in Milwaukee, one of a number of Catholics who were praying in the Oval Office, and they were praying over. President Trump, and a photo was taken and shared, and now one of the bishops has apologized for praying with President Trump. I want to go right away to our good friend Father Father Frank Provone, who is the director of Priests for Life.

Frank, I I just don't get this one. You know, Todd. Thanks for having me on about this. You know, you have to be oblivious to what's happened in America over the last decade plus since President Trump came on the national political scene. This nobody's done more for religious freedom.

Nobody's done more for the Catholic Church. Look what he did just recently. His Department of Education issued new guidance for the freedom of of students in public schools to pray. He's he's issued executive orders helping the clergy to be more free to speak. In the pulpit, he has advanced religious freedom nationally and globally, and and here you have a religious leader who should be bowing in reverent gratitude, gratitude to this president and his team for what they have done to enable leaders like him to preach the gospel without the weaponization that comes from the Democrat side of the aisle.

And meanwhile, he's saying, "Oh yeah, well we were he and also another." The bishop, the bishop of Des Moines, Iowa. Oh, you know, we were exploited for partisan purposes. What are you talking about? You want to be on the side of the Democrats instead? You know that is suppressing religious freedom.

So, I mean, like you, Todd, I'm scratching my head and saying, you know, what kind of world are these these men living in? It's a great question, and to your point, Frank, you had a you had an administration, a previous administration, that tried to convince Catholic priests to spy on their parishioners. You had a previous administration that arrested pro life Catholics, storming their homes and pulling their kids, or pulling their the husbands and wives out in front of their kids. I mean, they were terrorizing Catholics, and so I'm just not understanding. Where, where was their outrage and moral, you know, righteous indignation then?

Yeah, you know, Todd, they're not paying attention, and and I think it's it's it's providential that this story broke so close to election day because I wanna I wanna invite people to make these contrasts. Use this story as one of them, but make the contrasts for voters based on the fact that we've got the best record ever on the conservative side and the faith side, and the Democrats have the worst, most radical proposals ever. This contrast has ever been starker for America, and. And Todd, I developed on my own political organization, Pro Life Vote. People can.

We've developed some ads and some downloadable flyers that voters can use to make these contrasts that we're talking about now, and thousands of other contrasts.

So if they go to Pro Life Vote dot com, they can get this this info. And you know, also, you know, the accomplishments for people of faith. President Trump and his administration issued a a summary. Recently, two hundred fifty victories for people of faith, and folks can find that too on the on the website. We got to be trumpeting this stuff now, as people are in the midst of voting in this midterm.

I am curious about the Catholic Church at large. Are we watching? I mean are there are there a lot of woke bishops and priests out there? Is that the problem, or is this an anomaly, or are we dealing with a much larger issue?

Well, Atan, I wrote a book back when President Trump started campaigning for the presidency in 2015. I published a book called "Abolishing Abortion," and in the midst of that, I addressed this issue of the Catholic Church and how they deal with politics and elections. And I pointed out, and and and what these bishops have said is is a symptom of this that they they're so concerned, and this is churchwide. They're so concerned about quote the appearance of Partisanship, so much so that they won't even allow their priests to to do nonpartisan voter registration and education activities. They instill fear in them instead, and and and say, oh well, you know, the church might lose its tax exemption.

You know, if you do this, and of course that's garbage, that's nonsense. You know, political. I mean, legal experts laugh out loud about all that. The way these bishops interpreted is way, way, way too. Too cautious and paranoid, so it is a churchwide problem.

And then there's also Trump derangement syndrome within some of the Catholic hierarchy. Hey, Todd, that's why, as you and I have discussed on other episodes, they actually threw me out of the priesthood because I was too supportive of President Trump, too political for their likings. And my my argument back to them was, you do not have a better friend in the political world. You, as the Catholic Church, you as pastors, do not have a better friend than President. Donald J.

Trump and his administration, and in fact the Republican Party.

So yeah, it is a church-wide problem. Goes all the way up to the Vatican, and there are a lot of good ones in there. Obviously, a lot of good ones that we all collaborate with. But you've got a lot of folks in there that just need their they need their political minds opened up. Frank Pavone is the national director for Priests for Life, joining us on our Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line.

You know, it seems to me as we're looking at the midterm elections, just next Tuesday, one week away, and I know there has been a lot of controversy over just trying to get you know evangelical pastors out there to to talk about getting to the polls. What's happening on the Catholic side of the aisle?

Well, we have a mixed picture as we usually do. There are there are a good number of conservative Catholic ministries and groups, my own included, that are are finding good response because we know you know priests that are that are more active and more open to this, and they see what is going on. But then you also see what we've seen in so many elections over the over the over the recent decades that you know you've got pastors that did. Just want to tune out. You know, some pastors will say, and priests and pastors across the denominational lines.

Well, I just, you know, I'm just commissioned to preach the gospel. And my argument back to them is very simple. I want to invite all our listeners to use the same response, and that is, hey, pastor, preach the gospel. Yes, by all means, we're with you on that. But unless you get involved in politics, you're going to lose the freedom to preach the gospel.

And and that that is a that is a very basic, factually based. Affirmation, and you look at the track record of the Democrats, and you look at now what they're doing with pushing this socialism, communism garbage. That's godless. It's power concentrated in the state, and what these pastors have to understand is when you have a political party that wants to concentrate all power in itself and in the state, the two biggest obstacles, Todd, to that goal are the family and the church, and that's why they're going to hate both, and the Democrat party. He does hate both, and to the extent that pastors realize that, they are stepping up to the plate.

They're getting people to the polls. They're doing voter registration. To the extent that a pastor doesn't realize that, they are sitting on the sidelines and letting evil take the upper hand. All right, and with that, Frank, we're going to have to leave it there. But we'll provide a link to Priests for Life on our website.

Frank Pavone, thanks for joining us today. Appreciate it. All right, folks. Coming up, State Senator Brent Taylor joining us live here on the Todd Sterns Radio Show. All right, a bombshell allegation made earlier today that has caused all sorts of conversation across the state of Tennessee and could have some implications in the ninth congressional district race, pitting Justin Pearson, who is a radical.

Against State Senator Brent Taylor, the Nashville Scene earlier today reporting that Senator Taylor and they were citing unnamed sources, but and multiple sources, they say they either received or saw nude photos allegedly sent by the senator. According to the publication, one person who requested anonymity said they received an unsolicited nude photo from Taylor in 2021. Before his election to the Senate, Senator Taylor telling the Nashville scene that as I near sixty years old, the expiration date has come and gone on any of my youthful indiscretions.

Well, on our Patriot Mobile NewsMaker line, Senator Brent Taylor and Senator, we appreciate you joining us. I have to imagine it is a difficult day, but, sir, I guess the first question that a lot of folks What I have is, what the hell were you thinking, sir?

Well, that would be that would be a good question, and I will tell you that that is what I have been telling people that you can tell we're seven days from an election. You can tell who the front runner is when these types of stories come out. You know, just mere days before the election. And look, I will readily admit my. And acknowledge my indiscretion, and it's it's unfortunate.

And what's really frustrating is that that my wife, who she and I worked through this together long ago, we've moved on from it. But what's frustrating is now my wife has to relive all of this in the waning days of the campaign, and. The the thing about it is, Tennesseans they don't care about the personal struggles in my family. They care about the personal struggles in their family, and none of this discussion about my past indiscretion has anything to do with lowering energy prices, lowering gas prices, lowering diesel fuel prices, and as a result. It just serves as a distraction, but that's why I'm running for Congress.

Todd, is I want to make sure that I go to Congress and will work to reduce prices, reduce the cost of living, and that's why I'm running against Democrat Socialist Justin Pearson. Because if he were to ever get elected to Congress, he would be an ongoing public embarrassment to Tennessee. And the the choice is clear in this election. People will have the opportunity. Let me jump in here, though, Senator.

But but don't you think these revelations are a public embarrassment too? Oh, they they are a very it's a very embarrassing because obviously I'm sitting here having to talk about something that my wife and I had to work through together and talk about it in an open way. No no family. Would want to have to do that. Every family has different types of struggles that they want to have to discuss publicly.

But no, no doubt about that, Senator. But no, no, hold on. But Senator, no doubt about that. I completely understand. But knowing that those photos were out there, why would you put your family through this by entering a race?

And you had to have known that this was was going to come out.

Well, again, you know that I put that in my past, and what other people decide to do with with something that I may have shared with them, whether it was a text communication or a picture, what they decide to do that is is up to them. What I wanted to do is to move forward. My wife and I worked through this together, and we have moved on from it. And the great thing is, she has forgiven me. My God has forgiven me, and and I'm looking forward to going to Congress to to help lower prices because none of this has anything to do with lowering gas prices or diesel prices.

The choice is clear in this election: competence or chaos. And I completely agree with with that. I I think the concern here is the Republican Party has built itself as a party that was you know fighting for the culture war issues, and also these kinds of things would put any congressman in a position where they could be blackmailed down the road if these things had not come out.

So so again, I I think it is a legitimate question you know to be raised. But I I heard you say that you asked for your. You know, you talk to your wife, and that's a personal thing. You talk to God, but what about the voters and your constituents and your supporters in the ninth congressional district? Are they owed an apology here?

Well, again, the apology is to my wife that that is who that that is the person that that I had. That I I committed this this indiscretion against she she's the one that that was owed an apology. I gave her that apology. We worked through this together, and and so that that's what we're we're working through. But look, you know, you just raised the issue that about people being blackmailed.

Well, obviously, that won't be the case here because I've discussed this openly and publicly before an election. And then the other thing is. You know this. This goes to show you how a reporter earlier asked me. They said, "You know, what about how could you do this as a Christian?" I think this exemplifies the whole story of being a Christian, and that is that it's about redemption.

And as I said, my wife, I asked for her forgiveness. She's given it to me. My God is. No, I understand. Yeah, I understand that, Senator, and and I look.

I know it's a tough spot to be in, and I hate asking these questions. And I know it's got to be difficult for you, but but I've been getting a lot of text messages from your constituents, and they are just really shocked, and and really they feel like they've been let down as a result of all of this. What do you say to those constituents who feel let down?

Well, I would say this, and that is, you. If you elect elect me to Congress, the one thing you can know for certain is I will stand in front of you and tell you the truth, just like I did when I had to talk to my wife about the indiscretion years ago that we worked through, and just like I'm doing today by coming on your program and others and facing the voters and telling them the truth. I think that is a. I think that is what people are looking for in a congressman. And yes, look, I made a mistake.

I had a indiscretion years ago that my wife and I have worked through. She's having to relive all this now. But the important thing is to recognize that when I made a mistake, I stood up, I faced folks, and told the truth about it. And that's what we're looking for in in a congressman.

So, um, and I, I just want to make sure we're clear about all of this. Was it just one person that you you texted? Were there multiple individuals?

Well, I'll let the Nashville scene—they're the ones that did the reporting. I'm not disputing the premise of their of their article. I do believe there are inaccuracies in it, but the premise of it is is what I acknowledge, and that's what I acknowledged to my wife, and she and I worked through this years ago, and and it's unfortunate and frustrating. But but look, I understand that I deserve to be held accountable in this, but it's frustrating that that she has to re. Again, I just want to be clear: Are there was this one instance, or were there multiple multiple people who received these text messages?

Well, again, I think there could be inaccuracies in the article. What were the inaccuracies? What were what were the? I know that, but you and I are on, and you've been a frequent guest on this program, Senator. And we're not out.

We're not hanging anybody out to dry here. We're just asking questions that came out of the story, and these are questions that people are asking of us.

So it was just a simple question.

Well, the simple. It's a simple question. The simple answer is I'm acknowledging. The reporting in the Nashville scene, and whether it was one or multiple, one was too many, and I'm acknowledging the indiscretion that I made. And it really doesn't matter whether it was one or more; it was an indiscretion that my wife and I have worked through together.

We've moved on from it, and she's forgiven me. My God has forgiven me, and the voters will have an opportunity in seven days to render a judgment on that. But I believe most Tennesseans again aren't concerned about the the personal struggles in my my family. They're concerned about the struggles in their family, and electing a Democrat socialist like Justin Pearson will be a constant. Embarrassment and would impact their families for years to come.

Just two more questions, and you mentioned youthful indiscretion. You were in your fifties. Do you still want to go with that description? It was a youthful indiscretion.

Well, the older I get, the younger fifties becomes. But maybe a more accurate term would be past indiscretion. I see. I see. What are you?

I'm just curious. I know you're getting. You're feeling a lot of calls from from the media. Does this take you off the game as we're heading into, like you said, the final stretch here? And are there any more shoes that are going to drop between now and election day?

It just look. It it does not take us off our game. We're moving forward. We've been working hard in this campaign. We've got seven days left.

Again, what I have heard is from constituents who are shocked that this type of reporting and smut would come out a week before the election, and it's clearly time to try to impact the the election. But look, I'm a big boy. I'm willing to to be held accountable for my past indiscretion, and and again, I think the important point to draw from all this is. Do you want somebody who's going to tell you the truth when things get hard? And clearly, I have a I have demonstrated that I will stand in front of my wife and have tell her the truth when things are bad, and I will stand in front of the voters as I'm doing today with you.

When things are bad, I'm going to tell you the truth. You don't have to worry. Am I shading the truth or hiding something? All right, well, Senator, we we appreciate you coming on and answering the tough questions. And certainly, we you know, several days to go before Election Day.

We'll see how all of this plays out. But good luck to you out there on the campaign trail. Thank you for coming on the show today. Hey, I appreciate you, Todd. Thank you.

All right.

All right, there you have it, State Senator Brent Taylor addressing these these issues. Wow! So here's what here's what we can tell you is that we did ask the senator if there were other photos, if there were other if there were other incidents, and he declined to. To answer that question, so there you go. We're going to take your calls on this coming up nine zero one two six zero five nine two six.

That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. This is the Todd Starn Show. All right, welcome back, everybody. This is the Todd Searns Radio Show, and and look that that was a tough interview. I consider Brent Taylor to be a friend.

I've given him an endorsement. I've supported his political campaigns in the past, but again, on this program, we and we would have done the exact same thing to a Democrat, and you know, and you and the Democrats are going to have a field day with this. But again, we gave this. First of all, I appreciate the senator coming on and answering these questions about about the sexting scandal. But when you you talk about youthful disgressions, when you're you're in your what fifties, I I don't know about that.

Want to bring into the conversation our dear friend Mary Walter, a host of Mary Walter Radio podcast, and Mary, we appreciate you sliding your your time here so that we could get into this breaking story involved. Involving a state senator in Tennessee running for the ninth congressional district, now embroiled in a sexting scandal.

Okay, hi. First of all, thanks for having me back. Here's the thing: I don't know. Like Democrats brush Nazi tattoos under the rug and stick by their guy. I I think this is something between him and his wife, right?

Like I don't. I don't know. Like I think Republicans. I'm tired of Republicans holding Republicans to a higher standard. And you know we're better than they are.

Yeah.

Okay. I don't know. I'm just a big fan of it's nobody's business but him and his wife. As far as I'm concerned, this is clearly a political hit. They wait until the week before the election to release it.

They've been sitting on it. This is what Democrats do because Democrats know that Republicans will go after their own. Because they feel they're better and they're morally superior to Democrats. You see, I yeah, I just don't see it like that. I see it as again, if you're going to be the party that promotes family values and all this kind of stuff, then you've got to toe the party line on that on that kind of issue.

But look, I appreciate the senator coming on and answering the questions. Yeah.

But but my question is: Do Republicans really just promote family values, or you know what? I kind of think like Republicans promote. Listen, this is how we believe people like the world should be. Like you should get married, you should have kids, you should whatever. But we are far less likely to condemn people who make different choices as long as those choices don't affect affect us.

Like I'm a big fan of the Democrats are out of my wallet and Republicans are out of my bedroom. You know, kind of politics. And and you know the difference is Republicans. If we don't like something that you do, we just won't participate in it. But as long as it doesn't affect us, you go do it.

I don't care. And and Democrats are far more likely to impose their values and beliefs on us. You know, COVID, for instance. Mary, I want to switch gears. We originally had you scheduled to come to talk about this cheesecake factory thing that Obama stirred up.

And again, for most of us, going to like a cheesecake factory that was like a big deal. I mean, that was in our family.

Somebody was graduating from something, or somebody got a promotion.

Okay, so having grown up in the Northeast, where Chain restaurants don't tend to do well because we have so many great restaurants. Right?

So, I had never been to McDonald's till I was in high school. Didn't have one. There wasn't one. I had never been to the Cheesecake Factory until twenty seventeen. When I was living in Friendship Heights, Maryland, working in in Washington, D.C.

on a radio station there, and where they were putting me up for the time being, there downstairs there were Maggiano's and a Cheesecake Factory and something else.

So for the first time ever, Cheesecake Factory. I'm like, this is going to be great. I I don't like Cheesecake Factory. I'm sorry. Are you?

But that—that's besides the point, Mary. I know it's got like a seventy-two-page menu, but the point is that they sort of look down at those of us who go to places like the Cheesecake Factory or Cracker Barrel or you know Red Lobster, for example. Right, right. No, but see, doesn't that tie in with what we're just talking about? They look down on people who don't have, don't hold themselves to the same values that they do.

They're very judgy, right? You're you're a hundred percent right. Who was it who said? Oh, they are. Oh gosh, which election when Trump was winning and running in 2016, they smell like they shop in Walmart.

Remember that? The Peter struck the smelly Walmart voters. Right, exactly.

So they're very holier than thou, and we don't like it, right? Because it's it's it's rude. It's nasty. It's it's you know. And so I love that.

Stop. Essent went and ate there yesterday. And of course, this photograph coming out of Cheesecake Factory.

So I had a great lunch. We love Cheesecake Factory. They kind of just like rubbed it in their their noses in it, right? And I love that. I absolutely love that.

Every time they think they're putting you down or trying to take a hit at you, it just shows them for these elite snobs they are. And it's just so off putting.

So I'm glad that it didn't really work for them. I love it. Mary, I've got about thirty seconds here. Who is coming up on the big podcast today? No one today.

I am in the Adirondack Mountains cleaning out a house.

So no one today. But next week on election night, David Gelman will be joining me. He is a political commentator and a lawyer, and in New Jersey as well. And so he will be joining me on election night. And then I will be working overnights on another station, doing you know all the late coming returns that are coming you know later at night.

Mary Walter joining us on our Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line today. Mary, thank you for for being a good sport about today, folks. Tonight, five o'clock Eastern, my book signing at Long Street Cafe here in Gainesville, Georgia. Hope you guys come out and join the fun. Please wear pants, and we'll see you later tonight.

Be good, America.
