That's love. That's right. I love this American. And hello, everybody! Welcome to the Todd Stearns Radio Show, broadcasting border to border, coast to coast, across the fruited plain.

Your voice of truth and hope across America. And, ladies and gentlemen, may I just tell you that I am in a great mood. You know why I am in a great mood? I had. Sweet tea, and I had a biscuit this morning for breakfast.

That's because I'm in Gainesville, Georgia, one of the the prettiest cities in all of the South, and we are proud to be broadcasting from the palatial studios of WDUN. These beautiful studios in downtown, overlooking the square, where Dylan apparently I don't know what's going on. It looks like people are trick or treating or something already in Gainesville, Georgia.

So I'll try to. Get you some of those full size Butterfingers while I while while I'm here. You know the way to my heart, Todd. Thank you very much.

Well, I do what I can. You know, it's the little things in life, and the the full size candy bars. You know, they've got them here in Gainesville. They do everything big here.

So anyway, it's great to be with you. We're going to be broadcasting here in Gainesville for the next two days. Tomorrow, we're doing our massive book signing at the Long Street Cafe. We'll tell you more about that in just a little while. And also, what this is really a—it's been a lot of fun driving.

For and I have some stories I will share about the commute from Memphis, Tennessee to Gainesville, Georgia. It was there were there were interesting things that happened along the way.

So we'll get to all of that along with your calls. Write down our telephone number. You'll need this if you plan on calling into the show today. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. That's nine zero one.

Two six zero five nine two six, and Dylan Joe from L J says we're sort of in his neighborhood. Yeah, he's going to have to go top right to the top of the list. Oh yeah, you know he has to. He's close by. Joe, that's a Todd.

So anyway, yeah, he's just right across a couple of mountain, a mountain ranges from us here in the North Georgia Mountains.

So look, I've been getting a lot of a lot of questions about the midterms, and we're coming into the home stretch here. It'll be a week from tomorrow, and a lot of folks going and casting their ballots early voting here in Georgia. We understand. The the numbers are off the charts.

Well over a million people early voting already in Georgia, in Tennessee, not too far behind. As a matter of fact, there are still several more days of early voting. And the big question, though, and I saw a report just was yesterday, and the the thought process, according to this article here in Georgia, is that that Democrats are outpacing Republicans.

Now, Mike. Question is, how does anybody know that? Because here in Georgia, much like Tennessee, you you you don't show your party affiliation when you go and vote.

So yeah, there are huge, and and yes, there are huge numbers of people coming out to vote, no doubt about that. But No one can definitively say yes. These are Democrats or yes. These are Republicans who are coming out in mass. Regardless, somebody's coming out in huge numbers.

And folks, I just don't see. I do not see the blue wave happening. I mean, PMS now says, "Well, it's going to be a huge tsunami." No, I I don't believe that's going to happen. And I say that because there's really nothing extraordinary that's moving the needle for for Democrats now. Barack Hussein Obama out there, and he's out on the campaign trail, and we're going to play some audio from him in just a little while, but.

Yeah, Obama's generating what ten thousand people came out to to hear him speak in in Ohio. That's all well and good, but is that moving the needle?

So I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this. What is the voting early voting like in your state? We're hearing huge numbers coming out in Texas.

Now, let me give you an example of of what I'm talking about. We even though Even though people are not declaring, I think only what thirteen or fourteen states actually allow you to declare Republican or Democrat when you vote, and we'll get to those numbers in just a moment. But in Texas, for example, in Tarrant County, there is a huge Democrat surge there that could be problematic for Republicans if they are not getting out and voting in other areas of the state.

So I go back to my original thesis, which is. If the Republicans and if evangelical Christians get out and vote in the numbers they're supposed to be voting in, we're going to win. We're going to be just fine. But if we don't, ladies and gentlemen, there could be a problem. And I'm just—I don't want to overly alarm you.

I look—I know there are plenty of other talk radio hosts that are—I don't know—doom, gloom, despair, and agony on me. It's like twenty-four-seven. And I'm telling you, at some point, I'm like, "Jesus, Lou." I, you know, and I love listening to a lot of the other talk radio hosts, but I'm having to turn them off, having to listen to the Musak station for crying out loud, just to get my blood pressure back down. But again, it's just a cautionary tale. You know, when I wrote the Golden Age, the whole point of that book is to say, "Yeah, the Roaring Twenties were great.

It was a golden age in American history." But guess what happened? The 1930 Came along and we were plunged into a great depression.

So we've got to keep our eye on the ball here, folks. And I am one of the things I am so encouraged by is that evangelical churches are now stepping up and they're telling their church members, "You have an obligation to go and vote." And I've heard several pastors over the weekend say this: "I'm not telling you who to vote for, but you need to vote your values. Take a look at what you believe, what the Bible says, and then you." Get out there and you vote accordingly.

So again, ladies and gentlemen, get out and vote. That's that's all you need to do right now is just get out and vote. All right, nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. They allowed Ilhan Omar to vote the other.

This is what. Puzzles me about the whole Ilhan, well, whatever her last name is, story. Ilhan Omar was allowed to go and vote. My question is, why was she not picked up for voter fraud after she cast that ballot? Because she is not, and we now know this based on the investigation of the Justice Department.

We now know that Ilhan Omar is not who she says she is.

So I'm just wondering, what are we waiting on here? She cast an illegitimate ballot the other day. Anybody doing anything about that? And again, going back to the fact that she has been in this country for decades now. And nobody bothered to investigate any of this.

Nobody bothered to check all of her bonafides, even on the Democrat side of the aisle. By the way, you would think that when she was first running for Congress, her Democrat opponents would have done a deep dive into who this woman really is. But anyway, Ilhan Omar, we're following that developing story as well. She has not been charged. She has not been arrested.

But you know, it just seems to me, ladies and gentlemen, every now and again, we we like to we have a lot of Gen Zers that listen to the show, a lot of young people. Oh, they're calling about what Gen Alpha—that's the next group coming up, the Gen A's—and so we like to share some life lessons along the way. And just for all of you youngsters that are listening to us today, just consider this: you know, it's it's a good thing in in life to, for example, know your Your full name. It's a good thing to know your social security number. It's good thing to know where you were born and who your mom and and dad are.

And I would say that it's a very good thing to know whether or not you are married to a sibling. Just want to throw that out there. All right, we've got to take a break as we broadcast live from the great studios of WDUN, our affiliate in Gainesville, Georgia. Our telephone number nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Again, that number nine zero one two six zero five nine two six.

This is the Todd Stern Show. Remember back in 2020 when the media narrative was absolute. When anybody suggesting early alternatives was instantly silenced and deplatformed. The late Dr. Zev Zelenko was right at the epicenter of it all when he created ZStack and the Zelenko Protocol.

He took immense heat for sharing his protocol, specifically designed to boost your immune system. Even President Trump himself cited him in a press briefing regarding what. Wouldn't become known as the Zelenko Protocol, which led to Trump himself adopting it.

Now I just saw the video on X and saw it for myself. Amazing! Every key ingredient behind those protocols was meticulously chosen based on rigorous research at the exact doses that matter.

Now, over five years later, history has completely vindicated him.

Now we all know how critical a strong immune system is, and if you've ever felt how Watching the headlines, hear this: You are not powerless. There is something you can do about it. ZStack gives your body the foundational immune support it needs to help fight off whatever is circulating out there. Don't wait for permission to take charge of your immune system. Want to go by some?

Now we do have some states where they do track party affiliation, and and I want to go through these states, and we'll you can extrapolate from this whatever you want, but this is based on early voting, okay? And this is from party registration turnout tracking. First of all, in Florida. And I'll just go ahead and tell you the. I mean, the the thing here is Democrats are leading in all of these states: Florida, North Carolina, Iowa, Maine, and Pennsylvania.

Now, look in Florida, for example, this is all within the the margin.

So this is, and this will probably change, but still, it is significant in the other states where Democrats lead by zero point two in Florida. They lead. By 17 points in voting in North Carolina, 18 points in Iowa, 29 points in Maine, and 42 points in Pennsylvania.

So, if those numbers hold, it will be a good day for Democrats next Tuesday, and it'll be a very bad day for the Republican. Which again is why you got to get out and you got to vote nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Let's start our day in Georgia. Steve, listening to us on WDUN. Steve, what's on your mind?

Welcome to Gainesville, there, Todd. Good to hear you here locally.

Well, thank you very much. You guys have a beautiful city here. Yeah, we've. I came through town this weekend, and there was hundreds and hundreds of people out in front of the IHOP with Democrat signs.

So they're they're energized even in Gainesville, Georgia.

So wait, you're telling me whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa? You're telling me you have Democrats here in in Gainesville? Sad to say, we've got. We've got a good many actually. They were they were out in force over the weekend.

They were had signs and they were all there were a lot of them out there. A couple of hundred looked like in front of IHOP right there. They were they had signs up and it was you know vote vote Democrat vote Democrat. We've got plenty of. What I wanted to talk about was all I've heard in this this voting cycle is.

The the you know the the education how how we're getting lost in education and and how the Democrat Party is embracing socialism, it starts with the colleges. They brainwash these teachers, and these teachers are brainwashing these children. And it's evident in the way they're looking to vote now, and the way they're thinking is that they're convinced that socialism's good, that China's a great country. And that communism, there's nothing wrong with it. It's fair and it's equal, and nothing could be further from the truth.

And and and I, you know, it's been embraced a long time because even even Hillary Clinton back years ago when Bill was president, she gave a humanitarian award to Cloward and Timin. These were communists that their their take of how to take down America without firing a single shot was collapse it within. That's exactly what they're trying to do now with debt and and giving everything to pizza.

Well, let me let me jump in here for a minute because you're right, Steve. And this goes back to one of the chapters in my book, The Golden Age, where if we and I I'm very very deliberate here with my words, if we do not fix what is broken in our education system, we lose the republic. I mean, it really is that severe of an issue. And this is where kids are are learning about socialism and communism. But they're not just learning that they were bad systems that have literally never worked anywhere in the world they've been implemented.

But they're also very deadly ideologies. And the kids are just not being taught that they're being brainwashed. And now we have at least one generation that's gone through and gone through this education process. And you got a bunch of little communists. Running around, taking up shop right outside the IHOP in Gainesville, Georgia.

Well, that comes right out of the Communist Manifesto. Yep, that's true. Take, take, taking, infiltrate the government schools with with teachers, dumb down the electric, and they won't know what you're doing to them as you take over the communist regimes. This is true. This is true, Steve.

I hope to see you at the book signing tomorrow night over at Long Street Cafe. That's going to be a lot of fun, five to seven o'clock. Those of you in the Atlanta area want to come up and visit with us. And, Steve, thank you for the call nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Let's go to Clear Lake City, Texas.

Mike is on the line with us. Hi, Mike. What's going on? Hello, hello.

Well, I just wanted to ask you a question. Rather than being deported back to Somalia, if the Justice Department offered Omar asylum and immunity, you think she'd roll over on the Democrat politicians that were, you know, responsible for all the Somali fraud in Minnesota? You know, this is this is what this is a great question, Mike. And here's what bothers me about Ilhan Omar and the Republicans and the Justice Department. I mean, I appreciate where they're going with all of this, but man, are they taking their own sweet time here?

This is everybody's known that there was an issue with Omar, and nobody's done anything about it. And tonight, just to show you how defiant this woman is, tonight she's actually going to. Share a stage with Hassan Piker, who's the guy out there saying that America deserved 9/11.

So she's doubling down. She is not backing backing off at all. And I think one of the reasons why is she knows at the end of the day that she's still going to be in Congress. I'm not sure any Republicans in leadership have the courage or the man parts necessary to do what needs to be done with Ilhan Omar.

Well, let me ask you another question. Then, if she stays in America, given what all she knows, does she become a loose end and wind up like Seth Rich on somebody's sidewalk? I don't know. I mean, look—it's a—it's a great question. You know, you know how the Democrats are.

You know, they've got a long history of that. Mike, thank you for the call. Look, the—the reality is, they—they could do something now about Ilhan Omar in Congress, but they're not going to do it, and they don't want to upset the apple cart, especially this close to the the midterm elections.

So we'll keep an eye on that. But the hubris—wow. Just off the charts. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six our telephone number. That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six.

Barack Hussein Obama is out on the campaign trail, and I mentioned this to you earlier. And he is going off on President Trump, and he's taking some cheap shots, also at the War Secretary Pete Hegseth, and is blasting Hegseth for returning manliness. Back to, back to the military. As if that is somehow a bad thing.

Now, keep in mind, when Barack Obama was president of these great United States, he literally turned the greatest fighting force in America into a social engineering petri dish, where you had members of the Coast Guard running around in pantyhose and red stiletto heels. No, I am not making this up. You can Google it for yourself. This is a this is a man who turned our military into some sort of an alphabet activist organization, and along comes Pete Hegseth, and Pete Hegseth has a pretty good vision of what the military ought to be. They ought to be big and bold and brave and badass, ladies and gentlemen.

Yes, I said it. It's in the Old Testament. Badass. Or was that jackass? No, no, that's who Obama is.

But again, Pete Hegseth. Discovered that things were so foul with our military, and ultimately, at the end of the day, we have a military to kill the enemy and blow things up. I mean, that's ultimately, at the end of the day, what the military is all about. And God bless Pete Hegseth for restoring that sort of warrior mentality, that warrior ethos, to the U.S. military.

All right, we've got to take a break here. Going to the phones when we come back. Also, all you. NASCAR fans, we have a story from Talladega to tell you about. Our telephone number, by the way, nine zero one two six zero five nine two six.

That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Oh, our website, ToddStein's dot com. Go check that out. We have some great content for you there. We'll be right back, everybody.

This is the Todd Sterns Radio Show. By the way, President Trump heading to M. Ah, crooked letter, crooked letter, ah, crooked letter, crooked letter, ah, hump that humpback guy. That's Mississippi for all you folks in Salem, Oregon. Ah, yeah, President Trump going to Mississippi, and or as they say now, they're Mississip.

Ah, they're It's it's a whole language and culture, Mississippi. President speaking in Corinth, Dylan. I always I was always impressed with the name of the local newspaper. It's called the Daily Corinthian. It's pretty clever, yeah.

No, isn't it's great? Yes.

So the first edition, of course, is the first Corinthians, and then the second Corinthians.

So it's the daily Corinthians, the daily Corinthians.

So the president doing a big rally there. You know, the Democrats seem to think, and I, they've been smoking the devil's lettuce because they seem to think that they've got a shot at flipping Mississippi. And I just, I don't see that happening. But we'll see what the president is up to today as he talks to the. Good people of the Magnolia State.

All right, I want to go to the phone lines. We have Erica joining us. She's listening to us on W D U N. And Erica, according to my my notes here from our call screener, you're 31 years old and you're voting Republican. How can I help you?

What's on your mind? Hey, Todd. Thanks for having me. As a younger Republican, I just feel like sometimes my generation is becoming increasingly disconnected from the Republican Party, and I want to know maybe what our party can do or what I can do to keep people my age interested in the conservative values and continue on voting Republican. I think this is a terrific question, Erica.

Where do you think the party has gone wrong? I I don't think we've gone wrong. I just feel like like people that go to college is all liberal, and everybody my age is just leaning liberal, and I don't understand.

Well, I think well one of the reasons why I would say is is the education system. And if if you are going to a public school, if you're going to a public university, and you go through all that education experience, and you're still coming out as a Bible believing Christian conservative, then you are a rare breed because I think the indoctrination is just so massive. One of the things, Erica, I I would recommend is for especially young people to get plugged into a Turning Point USA group or a Young America's Foundation chapter. Those are two great organizations working now at the middle school level, so middle school, high school, and then college, just to try to promote conservative values. I think that's great, and I've got two kids of my own, and my goal is to bring them up the conservative way and do the best I can.

I well, I I have no doubt that that you are, and and this is a big concern, you know. And I think a lot of young people, especially, and young people are all you know their their values and their political beliefs are sort of you know in flux. You know, you the older you get, you know, perhaps the more conservative you get, or maybe you take a different viewpoint on something.

So I I you know I don't see there's anything wrong with that at all. But the problem I see is what you just Just addressed is that these kids are coming out of a far left education system, and and they've really been brainwashed. Yeah, for sure. Thank you, Todd. I really appreciate your time.

Erica, thank you for calling in. And our telephone number, by the way, folks nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Again, that's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Well, I want to go back. I. Mentioned Barack Hussein Obama, and he's he's going after President Trump for all the renovations the president is making at the White House. Take a listen to cut five.

So when you go through all this, the tally of promises, things have not worked out the way we might have expected. Although I must say, I did expect it. And and and let's be honest. Does anybody really think this guy in the White House right now is spending all that time thinking about these issues? I mean, I don't know if you've noticed, but he seems very focused on home renovations.

He should be on HGTV. Guy's building a ballroom that's bigger than the White House. It's paved over the. Rose garden. Put a helicopter pad on the south lawn, and there's gold everywhere.

What's up with the gold? Everything. More gold. He's got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a cheesecake factory. Just gold.

All right, what a piece of garbage that guy is. That's Barack Hussein Obama, a guy who, by the way, left the White House in ruins. Right? I mean, the only reason President Trump is having to renovate the White House is that Barack Hussein Obama and Big M left the building in a state of disrepair. It was in shambles.

I mean, the thing was falling apart, and that's the way. The Democrats do things right. Everything the Democrats touch, it it turns to a pile of rubble.

So Trump comes along, and the president and I've I'm just telling you because I've been there and I've seen it for myself. The Oval Office is absolutely stunning and breathtaking, and it is befitting the president of the United States. It doesn't matter if the president is Donald J. Trump or Marco Rubio. It is it is a Breathtaking Oval Office that should in that should instill fear in the hearts of our enemies as they're sitting in that Oval Office being lectured to by the president.

Meanwhile, you've got Barack Hussein Obama who just spent hundreds of millions of dollars on a presidential center that looks like a giant garbage can.

So if we want to have the conversation about beautification, we can do that. But also the the hubris of this guy, Barack Obama, bashing the White House by suggesting it looks like a cheesecake factory.

Well, first of all, it does not. Second of all, what's wrong with the cheesecake factory? Yeah, I know they have a seventy-two page menu, but that's what makes it fun, provided you can get through the menu. But that's who Barack Obama is, ladies and gentlemen. What, what a man!

Oh my God, nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Our telephone number on this Monday edition of the program.

So I told you. That I was driving over from Memphis to Gainesville, which is just about a six seven hour drive. It took a lot longer because of the I didn't realize, Dylan, that the Talladega course was the track was literally right off the interstate, and the game the the race rather was letting out as I was driving through, and it took hours hours to get through Alabama. Oh, brother. But it's still a nice, you know.

There's not much there. Was it Interstate 22? It's a fairly desolate stretch of of interstate. You've got one exit where there's a Huddle House, and then the other. You you know this because you know Mrs.

Producer when she was in nursing school in Alabama used to drive that route all the time. You know there's a you know there's a Cracker Barrel. Oh, I'm very familiar with that Cracker Barrel. Top.

So I thought, you know what? I just I was in the mood for Cracker Barrel, so I pull off the interstate. Gas up the the Cadillac and find myself a good parking spot right in front of the Cracker Barrel, and I go in and it's it's like it used to be. It's like you can barely walk through because of all the stuff, and then you make your way over to the the hostess stand. And Dylan, I'm telling you, this was the This was the countryest Cracker Barrel I have ever been to in my life, and it was great.

It was great.

So anyway, they seat me and they seat me there in the dining room. I counted no less than three men wearing overalls, like dress overalls, and and cowboy hats and you know John Deere tractor hats. And I thought to myself, I feel like I'm in I'm in God's country right now. Yeah.

So then, the waitress comes over. And she comes bounding over, and she says, "My name is Country." No way! And I said, "No, I." And all honest to goodness, I said, "I'm, I'm sorry." What? And she pointed to her her apron. She goes, "My name is Country." And um, and she had a female accent.

I'm not doing a good job of the. I can't hit the high registers today. Transgender for a second. No. Oh my God!

It's it's Cracker Barrel for God's sakes. Are you kidding me? You just did. A low voice, so I just assumed. I know, no.

Okay, we're we're back on track. My name is Country. There it is. No, you see, I can't talk. It's too early in the day for me to talk that high register.

Anyway, her accent—it was the best. It was kind of like Haley Barber, who was the former governor of Mississippi.

Now, Todd, holler, Todd. We just love Mississippi. We go huddy toddy. It's that kind of an accent. And so, anyway, I'm like, I'm sorry, your name is Country, and she said, "Yes, that's her name, Country." And I said, "Well, why do why is your name Country?

I'm, I'm, is it a family name?" And she said, "No, that she talks with such a thick Southern accent that all of her colleagues just call her Country." And I thought to myself, "How Country do you have to be?" At working at a Cracker Barrel, where your colleagues call you country, it sounds like you had the best waitress that could offer at Cracker Barrel. It was phenomenal. And before I could even, before I could even say what I wanted to drink, she looked down at me. She says. I'm gonna fetch you some sweet tea and hot biscuits.

I'm like, all right, great. Let's settle down for supper, and just had a wonderful time. The people next to me were talking about, honest to goodness, talking about where the best place in town was to get turnip greens. I just, I felt like I was in Mayberry. And then I thought to myself, you know, and and so country comes back, and we're just having this conversation again about.

And I said, I think she said, you know, some she said some people make fun of her because of her accent. I said, who are those people? I want to have a word with them. And and that got to a conversation about she was complaining about how people were moving into Alabama, and they they did not have you know Alabama. Accents, and so it's and this is true.

If you go to a place like Atlanta, you may as well be in I don't know Chicago because the the Southern accent is being diluted. And I think look at and it's happening all over the country. For example, like in Minnesota, remember they had that Minnesota. They had the coolest accent, but now it's gone, and everybody talks like Somali.

So that's that's what I'm. I'm referring to here is that sort of the southern accent is being watered down. I'm wondering if anybody else has noticed that. Or it's just me, Dylan. I hate that because I love the way our people talk.

So do I. It's very, it's very warm. It's like welcoming to wherever you're at. You always feel at home when you hear that accent. Oh, oh, oh!

And then everything. She was like, "I ordered, you know, I ordered the country fried steak, and I got the coleslaw. That's the healthy vegetable of the thing." And um, and she said, "Is that all you want?" I said, "Yes, ma'am." She goes, "God bless you," and I said, "Well, God bless you." And then she she brought me my she she noticed my biscuits were running a little. Bit low. She brought me back some.

I said, "Thank you, God bless you." I must have been blessed by God seventy-two times in that Cracker Barrel. Yeah.

Wow. That's that is one of the best Cracker Barrel experiences I've ever heard, Todd. It's I. I'm telling you, I'm like they saved Cracker. Donald J.

Trump saved Cracker Barrel. Remember, he's the one that was responsible. You know, they were going like the whole Chip and Joanna Gaines. They had shiplap all over the place. There was no shiplap.

They put it in the fireplace and cranked up the fire. It was amazing. Good. I'm glad. I'm so happy for you.

I'll tell you. You know a lot of people. You know they want to go to Ruth's, Chris. They want to go to Morton's or what's a Capital Grill. You give me a good Cracker Barrel in Alabama, I'll be singing Amazing Grace.

Thank you, Jesus. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. This is the Todd Stern Show. All right, welcome back, everybody. This is the Tom Sterns Radio Show.

Just catching up, it's like old home week as we're back in Gainesville, Georgia, broadcasting our show. And of course, tomorrow our big book signing, which is going to happen at the Long Street Cafe, and five o'clock to seven o'clock, we'll be signing books. You can stop by, grab dinner. Going to be a lot of fun, and we're. Going to share a lot of laughs, and you never know what's going to happen at these at these events.

By the way, just I walk in, Dylan, and of course the big the big birthday is coming up this week, and somebody drop by this incredibly kind gift, and I want to and a card as well, and they have good penmanship, so I want to read this. Um, all the best to one of the most faithful branches on the broadcast version of America's new Liberty Tree. Signed Tom, who is known on air as Little Big Mouth.

So I didn't get a chance to visit Little Big Mouth, but um, there you go, Little Big Mouth. Thank you very much for the kind card. Birthday blessings to you, and that will let me going back in the carry on luggage in the Cadillac as I leave here tomorrow night. Making. My way back to Memphis, so thank you guys very much, Dylan.

You know this is—I'm assuming we have major events planned all this week for the birthday celebration. Is that true? Yeah, we have so much for you to be excited for. That doesn't sound very reassuring, you know, like a studio, a microphone that you can speak with, all all the goods. Can you at least put a bow on it or something?

Make you a cupcake. How's that? A cupcake. Yeah, I'll make you a cupcake. All right, I'll take.

Oh, I'm good. You can. I'm good. I'm good. But thank you for that, though.

Del, appreciated. All right, coming up, we're going to be talking to someone who wants to be the next congressman from the ninth congressional district. Tennessee, Brent Taylor, who has now been accused of being a racist and a white supremacist, so we will ask him on air if, in fact, he is a racist and a white supremacist. You're going to want to listen to that conversation. Wendy Patrick joining us to give us an update on what's happening on the western side of the nation.

Of course, lots of big races out in California and Arizona, where a pastor, and I believe we have this audio. A pastor of one of the largest churches in in Arizona actually urged his congregation to get out and vote. All right, we'll get that. We'll get that audio. All right, we've.

All right, let's let's take a listen. And let me tell you, every follower of Jesus, you need to go vote. Amen. Don't you dare sit on the sidelines during an election. We have a freedom to go vote.

Every follower of Jesus should go vote. Yeah, amen to that, preacher. And again, it's it's not turning your church into a a Republican Party headquarters, although you probably should. It's getting out and voting your values. And I'm just telling you right now that God I serve is not non-binary, and that's who the Democrats worship over there.

So you gotta you gotta get out there. And I would just tell you know what you ought to do if you got a Sunday school class, make it a make it a thing. Right, get everybody to. Together, your Sunday school class go and vote in mass, and then have dinner together, and go down to I don't know the Culvers or the In and Out or wherever, Chick Fil A, and celebrate the fact that you took part in this great American experiment. That's what it's really all about.

All right, we have some great guests coming up. Hang tight, everybody, as we wrap up our first hour broadcasting live from Gainesville, Georgia, W D U N. Drop by, say howdy if you're in the neighborhood. All right, we'll be right back, everybody. From Memphis, Tennessee, it's Common Sense Conservative Commentary from Todd Star.

That's love, that's right. Our love is American. Right. All right, all right. Welcome, everybody.

This is the Todd Starnes Radio Show. Great to have you with us today, as we're broadcasting border to border, coast to coast, across the fruited plain. We are. Proudly broadcasting today from Gainesville, Georgia, the studios of WDUN. We're doing a huge book signing event tomorrow, and would just love for folks to drop by.

It's sort of a drop by, get a book, have a meal together, and it's going to be a lot of fun at the Long Street Cafe. That's tomorrow from five to seven o'clock.

So if you live anywhere near Atlanta, North Georgia, we would love to have you with us for that event tomorrow. Sponsored by our friends at W D U N.

Well, I want to go right away to our Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line and say hello to our good friend Wendy Patrick. Wendy, you read her work on Newsmax dot com. Also, one of the the finest attorneys in America, Wendy. A lot happening in the California elections. There's been a lot of concern about fraud, voter fraud.

We understand that there was an emergency hearing yesterday. Give us the give us the blow by blow of what happened. The blow by blow, I love it. Let me start with saying that it really was a blow to some who didn't think this hearing had merit to learn that the judges agreed to have it on a Sunday afternoon. Go figure!

And this was something that was a bit of a surprise. The Trump administration filed this appeal because they felt the the district court judge was moving too slowly. That that's not unusual to think that the wheels of justice are turning too slowly, but it's a problem when the midterms are in a week.

So the just the judges agreed. They had this hearing, but you know, Todd, the merits were tricky, and the judges didn't issue a ruling. But they really expressed doubt. It was a hearing about whether or not California could be forced to set aside ballots that were suspect without any sort of merit proof, any kind of a merit based hearing. Set aside these ballots to make sure that they all were legally entitled to vote.

So one. One of the things one of the judges said, one of the Trump appointed judges said, is you know, isn't elections aren't elections run by the states, not by the feds, and it it was questionable as to whether this is something that could be proven in in terms of how do you how can you prove that these twenty thousand ballots include people that aren't willing, able, and legally entitled to vote.

So that's what happened yesterday. But I have to say, you know, I think it was a win that the judges cobbled together. All three of them to be able to hear this case to begin with. Yeah, this again, you know, Wendy is is a concern nationwide since the Senate Republicans failed to deliver on the Save America Act. I mean, there are some states out there that do have strong voting integrity laws in in place, but I think the broader concern here is: okay, what's going to happen?

Are we going to have a lot of these fraudulent votes being cast in places like California? Yes, and you know, to that to that effect, many of us have been following with much interest the fact that the DOJ, as you may know, you probably already reported on it, sent those letters last week to every county in California, asking local elections officials.

Now, notice the terminology: asking. This wasn't a mandate. This wasn't an order, but asking basically local election officials to help to help identify potential voters that shouldn't be voting that aren't eligible. To vote, and remember that there already was that list of twenty-eight that were accused of not being eligible to vote yet being on the rolls.

Now, obviously, an accusation is not a conviction, but the point is, you know what? What they really were doing at the DOJ is asking for assistance. And you're right; if you don't pass the kind of legislation that upholds election integrity, you do see these sort of lesser forms of attempting to gain compliance, to basically saying, "Look, it's in everybody's best interest." That only people that are legally entitled to vote vote. That's not a controversial idea, and it's not a partisan idea. I want to play some audio here.

The attorney general over the weekend was on the weekend shows Todd Blanch and just destroyed Margaret Brennan after she lied about this Justice Department lawsuit against the Alaska Democrats. Of course, they've got this crazy case there where the Democrats got a guide to run and correct me. I'm I'm going to get this botched, but I believe Dan S. Sullivan is the legitimate Republican candidate. Yes, the dem the Democrats put up a guy named Dan J Sullivan, and it's causing all sorts of problems because they have ranked choice voting in Alaska.

Here is the Attorney General, cut number four.

Well, first of all, let me correct you.

Okay, you describe facts that were just simply either at best misleading, but but really a lie to your viewers. It is not two Dan Sullivans, one an incumbent and one running. That's not true. The head of the Alaska Election commissions, not not President Trump, not me, has said that the second Dan Sullivan is running solely to confuse voters, solely to pull votes away from the incumbent senator.

Okay, so that is something that we're dealing with. It's not just two Dan Sullivans running on the ballot in Alaska. That is not true. And second, President Trump has been talking about what a travesty this is for many, many, many months, and the Department of Justice has been looking at it for many, many, many months, as we should under federal law. And you saw what we did earlier this week, late last week, and it was not—it's not to let the federal government take over the Alaska system of selecting their next senator or certifying who's going to be senator.

It's asking the court to step in where the Alaska Supreme Court didn't, which is to look at federal law and, if necessary, to allow a process for Alaska to decide who should be who should be certified as a winner.

So, so Wendy, this is not about you know the argument the Democrats are making is oh. The president's meddling in this election. No, the people meddling are the Democrats in Alaska. You know it's hard to prove that, Todd, and I think that's why this has gotten as much traction as it has. What you're looking at and what we're all looking at is circumstantial evidence, and that's what we do.

We can't get into somebody's head and figure out why he or she decided to to make a go at it, toss their hat into the ring. But what this reminds me of it's it it is true. It's not the first time there have been two people on the ballot with the same name, but the circumstances are different here. Not only is it ranked choice voting state. But it's also one of those, really, the circumstances that you've got a retired schoolteacher—that would be the the Dan J—and of course you've got the Republican incumbent.

What also is confusing is that when you put them side to side, they side by side, they look alike. What you obviously they're not dressed alike because they're come from very different backgrounds. But it's one of those things where you have to wonder whether or not a lawsuit being filed to to hold off certification of the results won't, in and of itself, draw the kind. Of attention to the vote, where people will be more careful in deciding who they vote for. You know, reminds me of in California, Todd, as you probably know, we have all these propositions all the time, and they're all phrased as double, triple negatives to where you're not really sure at the end of the day whether a yes is because you like it or a no is this.

And that's the type of thing that this reminds me of: is they want to look at the result and say, well, if it's so narrow, or maybe we can look at the numbers and be able to tell whether or not. People made mistakes. That is hard, but it is also true that you got to do what they're doing. Make this an issue, and maybe that in and of itself will make people pay more attention when they go to the ballot box. Wendy Patrick joining us on our Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line, and Wendy, looking at the California governor's race, it's gonna it's gonna almost take a miracle for Steve Hilton to win this thing.

There is a new survey out there. Poll giving Javier Becerra a twenty-seven point lead over Hilton allegedly, but still we know the lay of the land in California, and I'm just wondering what is it going to take for people to wake up and understand what the Democrats have done to them out there. It really is exactly that. Is they're going to have to really take a hard look at why they would cast a vote for a Democrat? Do they think Democrats are going to lower their taxes or make the border security safer or fund police departments?

The answer, of course, is no.

So you got to wonder whether people are voting without really knowing the facts. And I would say, you know, ignorance and apathy have long been two of the reasons that sometimes the best qualified candidates don't get into office because when you look. The really the kitchen table issues—they're the same. All of us care about wanting to be able to afford the California dream, and we can't—we can't afford it. But voting for a Democrat is not going to lower those prices.

And I understand the easy arguments: they're going to lower—they're going to take away the tariffs, and you know they're going to stop the war in Iran. Is that true? And is that the the easy solution? You know, unless somebody can tell you and can prove it, how they are going to make it more affordable? Lower those prices.

Make it make safe schools, health care, housing. If they can't tell you how, then you have to look elsewhere and try to figure out whether or not just voting Democrat, no matter who it is, is a great idea. No, you're absolutely right about that. And again, but Sarah, not even trying to campaign. It's like the guys, yeah.

Yeah, you're right. It's it's really a source of great frustration. We are really hoping for some good news coming out of the congressional races, but again, with redistricting, there we're losing good people like Kevin Cailly, I'm afraid, and and others.

So I I just don't know, Wendy. It's it's it's really frustrating when you look at it from you know we we see what's happening in California. We just don't understand why the people of California don't see that. You know, I will say one thing about what the people of California do and don't see, and I'll harken back to the last presidential election where everybody said this is what we're going to do, and then we all watched together as the pendulum swung the opposite direction.

So I do have to believe that because let's let's just face it: no matter who you are, no matter what party you claim, you're going to vote for the candidate that's going to make your life better, make your streets safer, your Schools better and your children safer. That's who you're going to vote for.

So it is a matter of, in a word, turnout. It's true that Donald Trump is not on the ballot, but turnout may make a difference on either side of the aisle.

So I am just hoping and praying that, however, Californians want to cast their ballot, they do so. All right, Wendy Patrick joining us on our Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line today. Wendy, always good hearing from you. Thanks. Thank you, Todd.

All right, there you have it, the great Wendy Patrick. We're going to take a quick break here, and then get to your calls. Also, give you the very latest between Donald Trump and Bill Maher. That's not going over very well. And there is a big controversy over a British bear who is not Winnie the Pooh.

We will tell you about that. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. This is the Todd Stern Show. Dylan, I feel like I'm in a Hallmark movie where we're broadcasting the show. There, these huge plate glass windows, and people are strolling through the the downtown, the beautiful fall foliage, and nobody's getting shot.

I haven't seen anybody carjacked, and folks are having a good time out here. Wow, maybe you are in Mayberry. This sounds more great each time. Yeah.

It is a quintessential southern downtown, and Dylan, we are on. We're always honored to have our alumni who leave us, they abandon us, and go on to greater things. And Avery Bryson was the very first call screener for the the show after I left Fox. And Avery, you were you were just a like a a call screener, but now you're like a movie star, and you've got your own show, radio show now.

So welcome, welcome back. Thanks, Todd. Yeah, I'm happy to be here. It's been quite quite some time since I've been with the Todd Starn Show, so I'm happy to be back. Many moons ago.

Yeah, it's it's what was it? I think about because I was at Liberty at Liberty University in 2021. And I had to focus on my education during that year, and so it's been about yeah, almost four years now, which is crazy.

So, and now you do, and Dylan, you've probably seen the videos of Avery, who was like just you know the sweet, quiet Southern, you know, a Baptist kid, and now you're like doing sword fighting and like stunts and the whole the whole nine yards. It's it's pretty impressive. Yes, sir. I am by the grace of God an official Screen Actors Guild of America stunt. Performer as of March of this year, so I've officially been a member of the union for for that amount of time, and it's just been a blessing, truly, just to be able to go and do what I do.

It's It's a weird career, I'll tell you that much. Because I'll, I'll, I'll tell some friends and stuff like that. But like, oh, they'll ask me, like, "Hey, how's your week going?" I'm like, "Oh, it's pretty good. I, I got shot earlier in the week. That was pretty fun.

And tomorrow, I'm getting stabbed.

So that, that's, that's pretty fun." This is a Dylan. I'm thinking here with Avery that maybe we should have brought him to Memphis so we could experience all of that in real life.

So there was no stunt work involved. Yeah, some method acting there. That would be, that'd be pretty good for him. Yeah.

Yeah, it's it be real life experience for sure. But what's I'm saving the best for last year because you also had a great role in the new Daily Wire movie. Yes, I did. A lot of people don't realize Daily Wire they're in the film business now, and they've got a new film out called Run, Hide, Fight, Infidels. Yes, yes.

Tell us about tell us about your role.

So, briefly, I was working as a crew member, just as a PA, a production assistant, which Which is just basically, I'm running around doing whatever I'm told to do. That was getting coffee for anybody and anybody who asked. And I was more than happy to do that. I just love doing that. But then also.

As a member of the Screen Actors Guild, this was a union project, and so there was a stunt coordinator where we needed two actors to be thrown in for for a scene really quick. And some way somehow, the scheduling of finding these two people fell through the cracks. Lots a lot of stuff happens on a film set, so it's easy for stuff like that to happen sometimes. But I was asked by the coordinator. He saw me doing my regular job and was like, "Hey, we need you get thrown in here." And I was like, "All right, yes, sir, absolutely." So I took off all my stuff.

On my gear, and they threw me in a costume and told me, "Hey, this actress right here, she's going to be your your pretend girlfriend, and you two are going to get shot, and so you're just going to get ready for that. We're going to rig you up with a blood bag. We did a quick rehearsal of How to Fall. I was very honored. the The actress I was working with, she's never done stunts before, so." The coordinator was like, "All right, Avery, show her how to fall." So I was very, very pleased that the coordinator was like, "All right, you fall, show her how it's done." And so took the reaction like I was supposed to, miming it before I actually, you know, the blood bag went off.

Everything went off without a hitch, and then the camera started rolling. They're like, "All right, three, two, one, action!" Boom! Click the button. Blood bag exploded on my chest, and I fell to the ground on a very comfortable eight-inch foam pad, and it was great. They don't have the foam pads in Memphis.

When they have shootings, no, they don't. They really don't. They, I mean. They're nice. They're nice to fall fall to the ground too.

Once you get shot, that's for sure. Avery, where can people if they want to follow you? You're what Instagram is that? Yes, I have an Instagram. A Bryson underscore Stunts is my Instagram handle.

So I post a lot of a lot of my content there. That's exciting, and it must be exciting to work with people of faith. We only got about sixty seconds here, but working with people of faith as well, it's yeah, it's it's something it's something else. Because I was in Tennessee of all places working on a movie. A couple years ago, and I was just praying.

I was just like, "Lord, I'm. I know this is what you have for me, but I don't have anybody I can do it alongside with. I need those people." And flash forward two, three years later, and I've got those people. That's terrific. And tell us what you do here at WDUN.

I love this story. I'm a multimedia producer here at WDUN. I do our social media stuff. I do photography, videography, and I also host the Swap Shop Daily Swap Shop Show on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m.

every day. I love that on Saturdays, and I bet you get a lot of calls. We do actually. We got a lot of calls. A lot of people calling, asking, "Hey, I've got some chickens for sale.

If anybody wants chicken, here's my phone number." Sorry, what's that number, by the way? Maybe we should do that, Dylan. We could do like a swap shop nationwide hour, maybe once a week. I will say, I'm also kind of nationwide a little bit right now as well because I've had some people calling from Maine saying I've got some car parts.

So I might have beaten you to it. I love it. That's that's awesome, Avery. We are so proud of you, and you're just we we look forward to seeing you up on the big screen. You could be like the next Arnold Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I don't think I'll be as buff as he is, but you know maybe big enough in personality. There's always a chance there. Oh, that works. That's good. All right, gotta take a break here, Avery.

Great to I know you've got to skedaddle and do other things, but we just wanted to say hello. It's great to see you again. Thanks for having me, Todd. All right, Avery Bryson, great young man, and. Just a terrific.

He loves the Lord, and that's really all you need to know about Avery. But he can also, you know, get shot and live to tell about it. All right, hang tight, everybody. We'll be right back. And welcome back.

As we broadcast from the North Georgia Mountains, Dylan, I got some intel from Avery Bryson on what's happening in the in this beautiful park that I'm literally staring at. This is the town square in downtown Gainesville. Apparently, like a A lot of the businesses set up like Halloween displays, and you get to vote on who has, I guess, the scariest Halloween display. Oh wow! Any anything looking good so far?

No, I just no. I it it did sort of terrify me as I was walking over. They have a beautiful hotel downtown. The whole thing is brand new. This area, and I walked over and saw a skeleton, which was a little unsettling.

But otherwise, you know, it looks very family friendly out here. Yeah, you. Never want to see that in a park without knowing the context, right? This is true. I'm from Memphis.

Trust me, it's not the first time we've seen a dead corpse. Oh no. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Speaking of Tennessee, a major national race—it's become national—the ninth congressional district race, pitting a a radical far left activist, who pals around with Hassan Piker, against our next guest. He is the Republican nominee.

His name is Brent Taylor. He is running to be the next congressman for the ninth congressional district. Brent, good to have you with us. And you made some headlines over the weekend. At least your opponent did by calling you a white supremacist and a racist.

So, Brent, I just want to get right to it here. Rip off the bandaid, sir. Are you a racist, white supremacist?

Well, of course not, but you know, he made that allegation with no facts to back it up, and that's his mo is he likes to call everybody a racist when he doesn't get his way. And just to give you a couple of examples, here a few years ago in the Tennessee House Representative where he serves, he took to the House floor with a bullhorn, disrupted the House proceedings. For which they expelled him temporarily, and he claimed it was racism that as a reason they expelled him. Forget the fact that he disrupted the proceedings, and a year later he had to be physically restrained from attacking a white lawmaker by the name of Andy Farmer. He had to be physically restrained from attacking Farmer, and when they held him back, he claimed it was racism.

And then he famously, or infamously, goes up into the gallery last year during the special session, where he stood nose to nose with law enforcement and attempted to provoke a reaction from a H.P. officer, Tennessee Highway Patrol officer, by calling him a stupid mf'er and a boy. And then he claimed that the state troopers were racist and white supremacist. And then, lastly, and the most laughable one was he was before the Memphis City Council with a bullhorn disrupted their city council meeting where they had to adjourn. And then they issued a letter to him saying that he could not attend the next two council meetings.

And he claimed that they were racist. Todd, the only problem is the Memphis City Council is majority black.

So he he is so accustomed to screaming racism that he forgot that it was a majority black council. Look, that's all this guy has to offer is to play the race card when he doesn't get his way. And look, he will be an ineffective congressman if he ever got elected. And as a result, you could count on him showing up at these smaller town councils and county commissions with a bullhorn because they know they don't have the resources to deal with him like they do in Congress. It's and this is the troubling thing: is God forbid this guy gets elected?

You know, he is basically Jasmine Crockett in a in a power throw, and he is going to cause disruption and chaos. And I just can't imagine that even some of the older Democrats. Let's set aside the younger Democrats. I can't even imagine that the older Democrats who live in Memphis, black leaders, are are putting up with this kind of nonsense from Justin Pearson. They're not.

Matter of fact, I I have received numerous phone calls and text messages from black Democrat leaders. And look, I know these folks. I've served on the Memphis City Council before. I served on the Shelby County Commission. I was chairman of the election commission.

So I have a lot of contacts and people that I know on the other side of the aisle. And they are all contacting me, saying, "You're going to win this race." He does not have the support he thinks he has, mainly because we don't like his antics. We worked too hard during the civil rights era to to make sure that we were equal partners, that we were able to have a seat at the table, and he is dismantling that with his antics and rendering their ability to get things done. You know, rendering very difficult for them to get things done. As a result, they're not for him.

They they doesn't mean they're necessarily going to vote for me, but they may just skip the race. Matter of fact, Steve Cohen, the the outgoing incumbent in District Nine, was asked by reporter, local reporter, this past weekend, and he basically said that that my opponent, Democrat Socialist Justin Pearson, was a liar. That he had lied to him and about him, and he is yet to publicly endorse Democrat Socialist Justin Pearson. Instead, he's called him a liar.

So, we think Pearson is having a very difficult time closing ranks among the Democrats in Shelby County. You're you're out there on the campaign trail, and I'm wondering what you are hearing, what the mood is. Certainly, there's the polling data. There hasn't really hasn't been much polling done in Tennessee, but certainly the numbers are huge in early voting. Are you guys getting any indication of whether that's a huge Republican turnout or Democrat turnout?

Well, it's it's a large Shelby County turnout, but a lot of that is driven by some contested municipal races that are going on in Shelby County, and the turnout is tied equally being matched out in the rural counties. You know, District Nine is is fifteen counties, most of which are rural counties, and it's being their their turnout is high, so it's. It's matching the Shelby County turnout, but look, I think it's because the reason the rural counties are turning out is because they they know that the choice in this election is a stark contrast between competence and chaos, between common sense and communism, between radical, between reasonable and radical, and so voters are going to turn out. I think and choose competence over chaos because every time. Democrat socialist opponent goes chaos ensues.

I mean, this guy's well, he's a low information candidate, and you know, whenever he doesn't get his way, he screams racism. What real that doesn't necessarily concern me. I mean, it's outrageous, but what concerns me is this guy sitting on a couch with people like Hassan Piker, a guy who says America deserved nine eleven. I don't see much daylight between someone like a Justin Pearson and a. Hasan Piker or Zoran Memdami?

What? What say you?

Well, no, you're right. He has been on Hassan Piker's podcast at least once, and if you look in the background of the picture that came from that appearance on Hassan Piker's podcast, is a sign that says "Democrats Socialist of America." And so he's got. He is so far up Son Pickers' ass that he's petering out. Wow, that's yeah, that's pretty, that's pretty up there. Got to, got to dislodge that guy, Brent Taylor joining us on our Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line.

He is running in the ninth congressional district, one of the major national races. Democrats believe they've got a chance to keep this seat, but I'm, I'm just not sensing it, folks. I'm really not. And Brent, I know that you've been working around the clock, visiting lots of. Communities.

This is a big district, by the way. What are you hearing from from voters? What are you hearing from from Republicans?

Well, matter of fact, I'm in Middle Tennessee right now. I had a meeting this morning in Williamson County, and I'll be speaking to Murray County Republican meeting tonight. We'll be back in Middle Tennessee tomorrow, so we're working very hard, talking to real people, real Americans, and what they're again, what they're saying is they are afraid. Of Democrats, Socialists, Justin Pearson. They're afraid of the direction he would take the country.

They're afraid that he's going to show up at their town council or their county commission with a bullhorn. They are afraid of the policies that he would implement, and that's why they say that the choice is clear between competence and chaos. And so we feel really good about where where we are in the campaign. It's eight days left, Todd. And we believe we have the momentum in this race, and and he he talks about he's for the the working man and against the the billionaire class.

Well, he's the only billionaire that has weighed in in this race is Fat Boy Pritzker from Illinois, who has spent over two million of his own money for the benefit of Justin Pearson, and he is doing that for one reason: he wants to buy. Democrat socialist Justin Pearson's loyalty when he runs for president, and so it's it's rich when he says that I'm the billionaire candidate, but he's the one with the actual billionaire putting two million dollars in money backing him.

Okay, well, we're going to have to leave it there, Brent. We've got a rough little phone connection there, but we wish you nothing but the best out there on the campaign trail, Brent Taylor, running for the Congress, the ninth congressional district in the state of Tennessee. Brent, good luck to you. Thank you, Todd. We appreciate you.

All right, there you go, and folks, it's this is what is on, this is what is at risk here, and this is what's on the table. We have got to, across the nation, stop these DSA candidates in their tracks, and you can do that by getting out and voting. Because ultimately, yeah, I think a lot of people are incredibly frustrated with a lot of stuff. But the most important issue, the only issue that we need to be focused on right now, is putting a stop to these to these communist candidates. All right, we're going to take a quick break here.

When we come back, we'll kind of talk about this Bill Maher story. Donald Trump really, really upset at Bill Maher. We'll tell you why coming up.

Next. All right, welcome back, everybody. It is the Todd Stern's Radio Show. Great to have you with us, Dylan. During the break, I don't mean to to be braggadocious.

You know, that's not me. That's not my style. But the owner of W D U N. Brought by a Baptist martini, and for you Methodists out there, that's a Diet Coke with a wedge of lemon and hot, fresh, homemade churros. Oh my gosh!

So I didn't realize as we were interviewing Brent Taylor. I should. I'm. I'm just doing a confessional here. I mean, they were they were piping hot, and so I'm.

We're interviewing Senator Taylor. This is a major news story we're talking about, and I took a bite of the churro, and I thought it was a soft. It was a soft churro, but it's a crunchy outside, fluffy middle.

So you may have heard me crunching the churro on national radio. I didn't want to say anything, Todd, but. I could definitely tell that you were eating a churro, and so then I turn I turn away from the microphone, and I'm still I'm still hearing me crunch, and I can't figure out how to turn off the microphone. And I was I was just like, please, Senator Taylor, keep talking while I finish swallowing the churro. Wow!

So was it good? What's the verdict? The interviewer, the churro. The churro. Oh, the churro was great.

Yeah, it was delicious. I'm still eyeballing him right now. Yeah, and apparently Avery, you know, who's Mr. Stuntman, has. I don't know.

He he came at me aggressively. I think he wants a churro. Yeah, you might want to give him a churro. He's a body slammer or something. No, not.

It'd be like a professional wrestling or something. Anyway, all that to say, thank you again for the warm, warm welcome we've received in Gainesville, Georgia. And we're really looking forward to tomorrow night as we get ready for the big book signing. And we have plenty of books. We'd love for you to come by, buy a copy of the book, grab some dinner, and hang out with us, fellowship with us over at Long Street Cafe.

That's all starting at five o'clock tomorrow night. All right, this thing with Donald Trump and Bill Maher. I don't know what Bill Maher was doing that set President Trump off, but Trump is done with Bill Barr. All I can tell you, and well, let me just—I'll share what info we have. The president writing a thirteen hundred word essay about this on True Social, and talking about how Bill Barr showed up to the White House drunk and smoking the devil's lettuce.

And I don't care who you are, but you know your mama raised you right. You're not supposed to go to the White House. Reeking of marijuana smoke. That is just not that is not kosher.

So anyway, President Trump thirteen hundred and seventy-two words posted this last night on True Social. And he—he's calling him a complete and total loser. He said he's got a low-rated show on low-rated HBO. He's not hot anymore. After the second dinner, Bill's show was far worse than the first.

So he's accusing—he's basically accusing Bill Maher of going on TV and saying one thing and then saying something to President Trump in private. And that's not how that—that's not what Trump is—is all about.

So, so Trump is out there, and you know how the president is. The president, he's not a drinker. The president probably sitting there eating a big steak, and in comes Bill Maher, and he smells like weed and vodka. And the president is like, "What's going on here?" I remember when I was invited to the Oval Office. You there's a certain decorum, and you make sure that you take your suit to the dry cleaners.

You make sure everything is pressed. You you gotta shine your shoes. The president's real big on that, by the way, Dylan. The president he always looks at the shoes, and if your shoes aren't shined, I mean, well, you know, he was not happy with the footwear of Marco Rubio and Pete Hegseth, and gave them a pair of new shoes. And I don't want to be that guy, so I made sure I went over and I got the the Johnston Murphys.

I got them a, I got my shoes shined. You you want to make sure that you look like you are going to church on Sunday because you've been invited to the Oval Office, and you want to have a little bit of decorum about you, a little self respect. Bill Maher, apparently, the guy's a sleaze bag. Who knew? The president says.

After the second dinner, Bill show was far worse. He went crazy. He's gutless because he enjoyed every minute. Also, I am not building a swimming pool in the White House press briefing room. Never had any intention of doing so.

Can I just say, Dylan? I think that made him. That may have been my fault. I'm the guy that suggested they turn it back into a swimming pool. Yeah, I remember that.

Yeah, you remember that. Yeah, that was my bet. I'm sorry, Mr. President, that one's on me. I still think it's a good idea, though.

The president did say that I'm thinking about moving the press and putting them in a different location. Oh, how about Baltimore? That's a good location. The president goes on to say, "Bill also attacked our great Republican candidates when he knows my endorsement record is 98% of the House and 100% of the Senate.

So how can he make a false statement like this? These statistics are facts, and he should speak about them, but he won't because he's very unfair." Wow, president's really fired up over all of this. And it may end up helping Bill Maher's flailing career.

So the president is all about honesty and loyalty. And if you pull this stunt where you show up and you talk about you know X Y Z to the president, and then you turn around and when you go public, you're attacking the president. Oh no, no, that's not homie. Don't play that game. Homie being Donald J.

I'm just telling you that the president is is done, done with Bill Maher, and I can't say I blame him either.

So there you have it, ladies and gentlemen, the latest. There we've got a great third hour of the show coming up. We're going to be talking to. A guy, but he's a retired Methodist minister. His name is Dr.

Terry Walton, and has written a terrific book called "Monday Memo: A Collection of Reflections on Faith, Life, and Family." We're going to be talking to him coming up in the next hour. We're going to be taking your calls. How do you feel about the midterms? Our telephone number nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. This is the Todd Stern Show, broadcasting live from Gainesville, Georgia.

We'll be right back, America. From Memphis, Tennessee, on the banks of the mighty Mississippi, it's America's conservative blowtorch. That's us. That's right. I love this America.

Todd Starnes. Oh yeah! Wow. Well, hello everybody. Welcome to the Todd Starnes Radio Show.

We are broadcasting today from the Palatial Studios of WDU N on the beautiful square in downtown Gainesville, Georgia. Welcome everybody! Great to have you with us. We're sort of like in a Hallmark movie today, and having a lot of fun meeting a lot of our great listeners here in Gainesville. Of course, tomorrow our book signing at the Longstreet Cafe, five o'clock until seven o'clock Eastern Time, and we'd love for you to drop by and say hello.

I know some of the team here from WDUW will be there, and we're just going to have a great time eating some very unhealthy food. If I see anyone eating a salad, you're out of there.

So. Only sweet tea and good Southern cooking tomorrow at the Long Street. No, I'm just kidding.

Well, if you're a vegan, you can come along too. You'll we'll have a great time. Look, we're very excited today. We've got a great guest coming up in just a little while. His name is Dr.

Terry Walton, and has written a terrific new book. He is a long-time minister in the state of Georgia, one of the most respected ministers in the state of Georgia, and we'll look forward to our conversation with him. In just a little while. In the meantime, we are following a lot of election news happening around the country. There is a lot of concern about voter integrity in states that, for example, like California, like New York, and even in Georgia.

And we understand that. Here in Georgia, that the Justice Department will be dispatching poll monitors to Fulton County. Take a listen to cut number seven, please. Our administration, the Department of Justice, will be having poll monitors at six Metro Atlanta counties. What will they be doing?

And what do you want to say to people who could be concerned about any possible federal interference? Right. Well, they want to watch. You know, in Fulton County, you know that disaster. They want to watch.

They're not going to do anything other than watch. And if they see something wrong, we want to all have honest elections. The one thing we have to have is honest elections. Are you concerned about you know elections here in Georgia and the administration of them right now?

Well, I think that when you look at the people that run Atlanta as an example, when you look at some of the people around, yeah, I would be I would be worried about it. But we won't have to because we have professionals that just will be there to watch. Yeah, well, I'm sure the people in the Atlanta area—that's Fulton County, where Atlanta is—they definitely need those. I would recommend DeKalb County as well, sending those poll monitors. And quite frankly, we need them in every state where there are not strong voter laws on the books.

Now, in Tennessee, my home state, you got to show an ID if you want to vote. You've got to show an ID, and by the way, they will check that ID to. Make sure your address and everything is is is up to snuff, and if not, you're not going to be able to cast a ballot. It really is that simple.

So good on the president for dispatching folks to Atlanta to monitor the the the election next week. Very curious to hear your thoughts about how things are going, Georgia. One of those states. It's the weirdest thing, and maybe somebody, one of our Georgia listeners, can call in and help. Us understand this.

You've got an incredibly popular Republican governor who who won with landslide numbers in the last election, and yet at the same time, you guys are electing radical leftists to the U.S. Senate. Doesn't make much sense.

So, folks are wondering: is it is it a case of voter fraud? What's going on there? Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six our telephone number. That's nine zero one two six zero five nine. Two six, you know.

Another reason we've got to send a message to these Democrats. You had Senator Alyssa Slotkin just a few days ago talking about how we've got to come up with these lists. We've got to start tracking down, hunting down, and punishing young people, especially who want to go and work in the Trump administration. She also talked about wanting to punish people who are currently employed in the Trump administration, so that we might send, or and by we, the Democrats might send a message that if you work for a Republican, there could be, you know, what to pay. And we've heard, we heard the, we heard Angie Nixon down in Florida running for the Senate.

There, she's the Democrat talking about how she wanted to put her opponent in jail. No, no crime other than to be a Republican, but according to Miss Nixon, that was enough to warrant being thrown into jail, and so now you have Jennifer Rubin, who used to be a Republican. You have Ezra Klein having a discussion about what we need to do if the Democrats regain control of Congress. Take a listen to cut number three. It's not enough to.

Win? What do you expect if, in fact, candidates you've supported, Democrats, frankly, do get elected? What is the kind of change that you want to see beginning in terms of controlling our economy? Taking back regulation, taking back the rule of law. What's the bar we set for elected leaders?

Look, I've got this picture I just recently put on my wall. That's Victor Orban being protested by a pro democracy organizer, one of the members of the opposition in their parliament. They six months ago or so had a crushing defeat against their authoritarian. Orban went down. He didn't just go down.

He went down so so completely that he couldn't sabotage it. That it ushered in this era of. Accountability and reform. And earlier this month, the first of Orban's corrupt ministers were arrested, and there is more to come. I think what comes next is going to happen in stages, and we have to be realistic about what's possible.

When we win the election, as you say, when pro democracy forces win the election, they will have won an opportunity. To start reinstating the rule of law and making sure democracy reasserts itself, they cannot suddenly change the constitution. They cannot suddenly enact laws over Trump's veto. The Republicans will likely continue to back him up in Congress, almost lockstep.

So, what can they do? They will have gavels in the House and the Senate. They can refuse to seat more of his corrupt judges. They can instigate investigations. They can send subpoenas.

They can hold him to account. They can refuse to give into his legislative demands. They can pass their own budget, taking back money from his Gestapo forces, and start actually laying the groundwork for what a real reform era looks like. And that reform era is going to come in 2029.

So we should be thinking not only what can they do unilaterally starting in January 2027 to hold these guys to account, and that means Trump's folks, but also people outside the regime who are budding up with him, as we are seeing this past weekend. But what legislation are they passing that becomes HR one and? One, the first bills that are passed in 2029, that should be hammered out, and we should not play footsie with this regime or with Republicans who are cooperating with this regime over the next two years. Yeah, there you have it, folks. They're they're telling us what they're going to do, and the Democrats actually deliver on these promises, which is why we should we should be alarmed by the fact that they want to practice retribution.

As a matter of fact, it was Hakeem Jeffries who said just a little while ago that one of the first first orders of business, if you know, if in fact they are able to regain control, they want to bring back all of the. Illegals who have been deported. All right, I want to go to the phones here nine zero one two six zero five nine two six John in Kentucky. John, what's on your mind? Hey, Todd, great show today.

I just told your call screener what Melissa Slotkin and these Democrats are doing. It sounds like a certain time of history in the nineteen thirties Germany. Anybody that went against One against a certain regime of which I am not going to mention. They went after them. They made a list.

They hunted them down. They confiscated property. They confiscated everything that they owned. And Todd, you mentioned this more than once, and I'll hang up and listen for your response. The one thing that this great nation has, and its citizenry has, is we have a thing called the Second Amendment.

If Melissa Slotkin wants to start doing this stuff, The families need to actually think about defending themselves. Making a list, Todd. Seriously, that sounds exactly like a certain regime. And these guys are accusing us of being that type of people. No, they're the ones that are imposing a danger to this republic.

It's not a democracy, Todd. You said this more than once. People down south are the ones that won't be pushed around. But it sounds exactly what happened in nineteen thirties Germany, Todd. And I hang up and listen for your response.

God bless you, brother, John. Thank you for that. And and look, it is it is disturbing, and you you hate to throw. I'm I don't like it when people throw around. Oh, he's Hitler, or oh, that's Nazis.

No, this John is right here. This is exactly what the Nazis did. It's also what they did. In the Soviet Union, and the communists would would create list of their political enemies, and then they would. What's the what are the what's the word the young people are using these days?

Unalive them. That's what they would do.

So it is. It is a disturbing thing to hear people on American soil talking about doing this kind of stuff. Look, I have great disagreements with Democrats. Do I want them dead? No, of course not.

Do I want them thrown into prison? No, of course not. Unless they've broken the law. But that's where we are right now. Very, very sad, disturbing situation in American politics.

All right, we've got to take a quick break here. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Coming up, we're going to explain to you why President Trump is infatuated by Nicki Minaj's Buttocks. We'll be right back.

All right, welcome back, everybody. Good to have you with us.

So, look, President Trump. You know, Dylan, if you've been to a Trump rally, he gets a little salty sometimes. The language gets a little, you know, adult. Sure, sure, yeah. And that's exactly what happened over the weekend.

The president was making some campaign stops, and he, well, several times. This was in the Ohio Senate race when he complimented Ohio Senator John Huston's derriere. Let's take a listen to what the president had to say.

So he's over here. I'm over here. And I'm studying his body. I've never studied the body of a man before. It's not my thing.

Nothing wrong with it, of course. Nothing. I always proceeded by saying nothing wrong, but it's never been my thing, to be honest with you. But I looked at his ass, and then I looked at his legs, and I said his ass. It's like a pile of muscle.

Then I looked at his legs, and I said, "Man, his feet are big." Then I looked at his shoulders, and I tapped him on the shoulder, and it actually hurt my hand. It was like a piece of steel. He said, "This guy's a monster." Okay, Dylan. A lot to unwind here.

So look, I you know the president. He's there. The leftists are out there saying the president's lost his mind. That he has dementia. There are other people.

I knew it. I knew Donald Trump was gay. He's a gay man. I don't think that's the case, and we'll play what he said about Nicki Minaj's derriere in just a moment here. I'm just curious, though.

The president he does seem to be somewhat impressed with with the senator's physique. Yeah, I'd say the least that I'm just I I want to see this guy. He seems like a huge bodybuilder in this case. I I don't know. I don't even know who this guy is.

Yeah, who was it? That the there was a senator from Massachusetts, Scott Brown, who was elected, and he was kind of like a rhino Republican, but he was also I think he did like adult films. He paid his way through school or did something with it. Adult films back in the day, so they say he was well. But I'm just not in that.

I mean, you don't walk around and you know, Dylan. I don't think most guys walk around and look at other guys' buttocks. No, not generally. But I feel like as guys, we like to compare ourselves to other guys, not in like an insecure way, but just like you you compliment a guy when you know he's been to the gym because that you know it's going to boost his ego a little bit. That's just what you do.

Really? Yeah.

Aver, turn your microphone on. I don't know if you're hearing any of this. Is this true? I mean, you guys in the film business are y'all going around checking each other's butts out there on the. Not particularly, but we definitely like what Dylan was saying.

We do like to hype each other up and you know give each other a good compliment. Be like, "Dude, you're looking great!" Like, I'm so proud of you. Like, you're you're you're clearly being disciplined in in all sorts of different areas. Your butt's not like Jello anymore. I mean, I won't specifically say that.

Okay, specifically, I won't get specific with anything. But you know, it's more of a generalization. I'm feeling very uncomfortable here, guys. Dylan, I'm just I'm I'm shocked to hear this.

So. Normally, it's like guys, especially, just kind of keep to themselves in the gym. You would think, but guy friendships, you know, we we we it can get a little complimentary. You know, it's just what you do as a guy. But I will, you know, we don't go specifics like Avery said.

Like we're not talking about the butt specifically. We're just talking about your build.

So Trump is so. I mean, basically, it's it's a bromance, is what it is.

Sounds like it. Is that fair enough?

Okay, well, we're good. Thank you, Avery, for your analysis there. My analysis. Hold on.

Well, I mean, no, it's. I mean, you gave your opinion, Dylan. It's getting uncomfortable, man. Can we play what he said about Nicki Minaj? And I didn't like it, but I'm I'm looking at him up and down, and I'm talking about the senator.

Made the mistake. I told in fun. I said, I looked at his ass, and I've never done that with a man before. It's true. Off the record, women, yes; men, no.

Okay.

Okay.

Yeah.

There you go. That's. By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful ass before Nicki Minaj. That. That's hard to miss.

That's stand-up. That's hard to miss. You know, Dylan, our Dylan. I wonder if President Trump had to sleep in the Lincoln bedroom last night. Yeah, I'm thinking so.

Yeah, I'm thinking Melania had some words. Probably didn't like that one too much. You know that beautiful new landing oval they have for the for Marine One when it comes in. If you look off to the side, I think you could have seen Melania with their hands crossed and her toe tapping. Yeah, saying we need.

To have a talk—that's a presidential couch right there for you. That's it. That's a presidential doghouse. But you know, I was watching, and and again, people say Trump is off his his game. I don't think he is.

I think the president's having a lot of fun. He probably is exhausted. He's been traveling all over the country doing these events, and that takes a lot out of you, no matter who you are. But what really impressed me—you've got to look behind it when you watch the video. There are a lot.

Of women that are seated behind him, and they're in on the joke, and they are loving it. They're laughing. They're cutting up, having a good time.

So everybody, everybody, sort of in on the joke, except for the Democrats. And again, it goes back to this one truth that just breaks my heart: the Democrats, in spite of all of their faults, the greatest is they just don't have a sense of humor, and that's sad. That's sad. And a lot of them have a flabby behinds, but you know. What are you going to do about that?

Hit the gym, I guess.

So we've learned a lot this segment of the program, ladies and gentlemen. I'm not quite sure what, but we've learned a lot. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six our telephone number. By the way, ladies and gentlemen, if you're not in Gainesville, you can get a copy of the Golden Age at your favorite bookstore. You can also get a copy on Amazon.

It makes a wonderful Christmas gift. Tomorrow night, after all of this, you're going to be able to watch my special one-hour. TV special live from the Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley. We filmed that, taped that last week, and you're going to love it. We had a great conversation.

We'll tell you more about that coming up a little bit later. All right, up next, Dr. Terry Walton, author of a new book called Monday Memo. This is the Todd Stearns Show. All right, Dylan, I've got to figure this out.

So we need multiple birthday celebrations. I forget who it was. Oh, my good friend, the lovely Sarah Haley, who hails from Memphis, Tennessee, and we worked together at Fox News like a bazillion years ago. And she's now married and has three wonderful kids and just just doing incredible things. She would have an entire week of birthday celebrations.

Oh wow, that's a lot of birthday celebrations, Todd. And she required well, she required people to celebrate too.

So I mean, it was like a mandatory thing, kind of like what is it the the Hanukkah? You know, got something every night. Did you just compare your birthday to Hanukkah?

Well, no, but well, sort of. There goes my honorary membership in the Jewish Republican Club. It was either that or the pulled pork I brought to the last get together.

So, sorry, it turned out not to be kosher. But anyway, no.

So we got to figure this out.

So I will be back Wednesday, and I'm expecting big things.

Okay, we'll we'll be ready for you, Todd. I want at least a six pack of Dr Pepper. Yeah, no worries there. Oh, remember, where is it? A couple of years ago, the lovely Melissa, one of the makeup artists who makes me look presentable for TV, actually made me a Dr Pepper cake, and it actually had suspended over the cake a Dr Pepper pouring, like it was pouring a stream of Dr Pepper onto the.

You remember that? I remember because we ate every bit of it, and it was very good and Dr Peppery. It was very good. All right, that's good.

Well, anyway, all that to say, welcome back, and yeah, it is birthday week here on the Todd Sterns Radio Show, and we're going to have a lot of fun. I suspect at my expense as we go through the week.

Well, my next guest, I am so excited to share this story with you, Anna Jacobs, with W D U N. The family owns the radio station, and she is just a dear friend and a precious saint. By By the way, just got back from visiting the wine country over in California. We're gonna have to get a. We're gonna have to get the scoop on that.

But she is just a lovely person, and connected me with this incredible book. The cover is just really breathtaking. It's called Monday Memo. A collection of reflections on faith, life, and family. You know, we talk a lot about books on this program, but this is one that I think you need to read.

It is going to bless your heart. The author, one of a very well-respected minister here in the state of Georgia, Doctor Terry Walton, and he joins us on the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line today. Doctor Walton, what an honor to have you with us.

Well, Todd, it's an honor to be a part of your show. Thank you for this invitation. And I probably shouldn't have had. And I want to apologize, Doctor Walton. We did the whole segment about President Trump complimenting people's buttocks before we brought on the preacher.

So my apologies there. I thought you were going to say Doctor Pepper before Doctor Walton.

Well, that.

Well, Doctor. Nothing wrong with Doctor Pepper. I'll tell you that much. Dr. Walton, first congratulations on on the book, and I know you are you're you're a busy guy.

I'm wondering how you found the time to write this incredible manuscript.

Well, it all started in September of 2020 during the pandemic, and my bishop said, Terry, would you would you mind writing a weekly inspiration that could go out to folks across Georgia? Just encouraging them in these days, inspiring them along the way. Her plate was pretty full, and so I was honored to do that. And so it it took off. And folks who read the inspirations week after week, they came out on Monday mornings.

That's why we call them Monday memos. They hit people's emails at 5 a.m., and then they would share them with relatives and friends. And long story short. People kept saying to me, you know, that really spoke to my soul. Have you thought about publishing?

Well, I didn't know anything about publishing, Todd, but I did know Anna Jacobs, and I knew that Anna knew some about it. And so, as I moved toward retirement, I thought, well, let's just throw this bread on the water and see if it goes anywhere. And I owe a lot of credit to Anna and her hard work and her team that put all these. Reflections together, categorize them, and the result is the book that came out in May. And I have been humbled by the interest and what people say it adds to their lives.

You know, you know, I think the one of the things that that I find compelling, and I've read several of the the entries, and it is, folks, over 700 pages here, so lots of great inspiration. But one of the things that really encouraged me there, there, it's just a weird time in the country. I think it's a weird time in the world. And Doctor Walton, I think one of the reasons why it's weird is not because of our politics. It's because we've really gotten away from the found.

Of our faith, I would agree. It seems like either we never really knew to start with, or we've forgotten how to talk with people who see things a little differently than we do, and we seem to not realize what we can learn from each other, both in our spiritual lives as well as our emotional lives. My mama used to tell me, "Terry, you got two ears and one mouth, which means you ought to listen twice as much as you talk." And that's been hard for this preacher. But it feels like we just have a culture now that doesn't know how to sit down and talk. And so, the thoughts that I began to put in inspiration were thoughts that just would get people to think.

And honestly, there was a lot of disagreement with some things I wrote. But I told the bishop, I said, anybody that responds to these Monday memos, I will respond back to try to create an environment of conversation.

So that's really been my personal goal: is to get people talking to each other and listening to each other. How how do we do that? You know, I mean, there was a time in in the country when a lot of a lot of homes, a lot of houses, had those big giant wrapping around front porches, and the whole point was to you know invite company to come over, as we used to call it back in the day. We we would love for company to come over and just sit and fellowship and talk.

Well, I think we need to remember that. Number one, number two, we need to acknowledge the distractions. Gosh. I love a good movie. I love sports.

So if anybody's kind of tied to a screen at times, it's me. But it can be distracting. I'll be sitting in the same room with my wife and texting, saying, "Can we talk?" You know, we. I think we need to acknowledge the distractions. I think we need to acknowledge that we're not right about everything.

We may have passions, and that's okay. But let's have room for others' passions, and we're not going to know that. Unless we just kind of take a breath, pause, and listen to one another, I have relatives on all spectrums of the political cycle as well as faith cycle. And one of the things I will say about our family is, we know when we're getting close to touching a hot button. And we know that it's important to kind of stop and love one another in that moment, than to push that moment.

That seems to have helped us, and maybe that could help others. Dr. Terry Walton joining us is the author of an incredible book called Monday Memo: A Collection of Reflections on Faith, Life, and Family. You know, I I go back through you know the last I don't know twelve or fifteen years of culture in America, where you know the the admonishment many times coming from Washington was you know you're sitting around your dinner table, you need to use it as an opportunity to sway your family members on political issues. And I remember growing up.

My grandmother, who was a devout United Methodist back in the day, there was there was no talk about politics or religion at the dinner table. Right, that's right. And and my mom and dad, you know, I love them dearly. My mom is still living; she's ninety two. My dad left us in nineteen ninety.

Excuse me, he was ninety. He left us in twenty two. You know, they just taught us to always pay attention to people's character, to pay attention to people's faith walk, to pay attention to the fruit that people bear, rather than what they say. And you know, I think the best advice I ever got when I, my three kids who are now adults, were eating entering adolescence. I was nervous about that.

Now, what what what are they going to do in their teenage years? That's more reflection of probably what I tried to get away with. And somebody said to me, "Terry, you know, it's important. I think to remember they are watching more than they are listening." That has helped me a lot, Todd. And I think that's true about our faith.

Let's pay attention to the fruit people are bearing. In our homes, in our communities, in our nation, and in our world, the world is so much smaller than it was when I grew up, and we just need to pay attention and acknowledge fruit that necessarily is not the best. Maybe it's moving toward the best. Nobody's perfect, but at the same time, if there's rotten fruit, acknowledge rotten fruit. And let's pay attention to the fruit people are bearing, rather maybe than the words they're saying.

Like, come quats and pears. I'm not a big fan of those fruit, but you know, I guess they serve a purpose. I. I love what you you wrote on on the back of the book, and you talk about quiet moments. I'm always reminded of the prophet Elijah, that great story from the Old Testament, when Elijah's running from God, really, and he's hiding in a cave.

And so God said, "You better get ready because I'm about to pay you a visit." But it was interesting, you know, there was a huge lightning storm, and then there was an earthquake, and Elijah kept walking out looking for God in the huge. Lightning storm and the earthquake, but it was when there was just a whisper of a wind, and that's where God was. And sometimes I wonder, Doctor Walton, do we as people of faith we look for God in maybe the wrong places?

Well, I know that can be my temptation as a fellow human being, and and I'm discovering that it's in the little things. It's in the moments in our lives when we well, I think I think you know the thing is God moves in mysterious ways. I like to say God moves in mischievous ways. He surprises us in some ways. If we again, I go back to that phrase: pay attention, pay attention to a child.

I mean, Jesus very clearly said to the disciples, "You let those children come to me, because in them you're going to see the kingdom of God." Pay attention to a child. Pay attention to the most humble person in your midst. Pay attention to the person sitting that doesn't say much, but when they do, it kind of reminds me that old, old, old commercial. E. F.

Hutton. When E. F. Hutton speaks, then we all listen. You know, I think we need to pay attention to the quieter moments.

We're busy, even in my retirement. I feel like I'm plunking retirements, staying so busy. And sometimes I don't take time to be quiet, be still, and know that I am God. The psalmist said, and I think there is some real wisdom in that.

Well, I think it's a good word, especially as we're coming into a very noisy time in our nation's history, with the election coming up next week, and you know, there is just a lot of noise in the culture. And I can't think of a better time to maybe step back from all of that and really focus on what's important.

Well, I agree. It's noisy, and there's a lot of voices, if we will, coming our way. And I would just say, you know, we call grace amazing in the song that most all people, at least, have heard of that song, if they couldn't sing it or quote it. And it's amazing because it's grace that really helps us. I think.

Pilot our way through the noise. If we can just be gracious to one another, do little things for one another, especially toward those we seem to think we vehemently disagree with, offer some grace. And I think in the midst of that, we might discover a real blessing. That's where we might discover the voice of God. Good.

Well, that's that. That'll preach right there. That's a sermon, Doctor Walton. Yeah, I would agree. I would agree.

Oh my goodness!

So you've got all these. And is it fair to call them devotions or just reflections? How do you How do you categorize these?

Well, I start each one with the phrase "I was thinking," and I end each one with the phrase "always thinking." And I just—it's my way of saying this is where I am in this moment in time about this topic, this issue.

So some have called them devotions, some have called them articles. It's just my way of kind of putting out there with a scripture woven in to help a reader for about a five or six minute read have something to have as food for thought. And if it can stir a thought in us, I think God can use that. You know, Paul said, "Let this mind be in you, which is also in Christ Jesus." This idea that God can work through our mind and through our heart.

So, if a thought I put on paper can stimulate a thought that takes you somewhere, then I give God thanks.

So they're really they're not very lengthy. They're not put in calendar kinds of ways. You can just open the book and start reading right there if you want to, or you can start from cover to cover. Whatever speaks to the person. It's a way to get you thinking about where we are, who we are, and what we can be.

All right, folks. You can find more information about the book at MondayMemo.org. That's MondayMemo.org. You can also get a copy on Amazon, where you can order a copy. And I would encourage you to do that.

You know, the holidays are coming up, and what a wonderful gift! And especially if you know, not just for Christmas, but if you're invited over for like a Thanksgiving event or something of that nature, what a wonderful gift to give the hostess of the gathering. Monday Memo by Dr. Terry Walton, Dr. Walton, we really appreciate you spending a few moments with us today.

Congratulations on the new book. All right, thank you very much. I'm I'm humbled to be a part of what you're doing, and thank you for your time.

Well, we need with this political season, we need as many preachers on this show as possible, Doctor Walton. Oh my goodness!

All right, there you go, everybody. Wow, what a great book! And the cover is just really stunning. It's just a breathtaking cover. You'll go to go to Monday.

Well, let's see here, Mondaymemo dot org, and you'll see what I'm talking about. All right, we've got to take a quick break here, folks. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two. Six. This is the Todd Stern Show.

All right, welcome back, everybody. This is the Todd Sterns Radio Show, Dylan. It always takes me about a day when we're doing the show out on the road like this. It takes me a day to get sort of like you know in the groove, and then it's time to come back. I know it's just right when you're starting to have fun.

You got to leave. It's like the worst part of a vacation. But we're back here tomorrow, and we'll be broadcasting the show noon to three Eastern. And then tomorrow evening, we've got our big book signing at Long Street Cafe. I had no idea.

I always thought it was just named Long named Long Street because the name of the street was. Long, thank you. Right, but it turns out that it's actually named after a civil, a great Civil War general, General Longstreet.

So it's got this great. When you go to the the cafe's website, it's got all this great information about the history of the cafe, and it really is sort of like I don't.

Some of our listeners will understand when I. It's kind of like Piccadilly, but or Morrison's. It's kind of, sort of cafeteria style, but it's great homemade home cooking, and it's it's a great Southern restaurant.

So it's a great fit for us whenever we're doing a book signing. I'm still caught up on the Long Street thing.

So if you had a street, it would be Long Street Street. It wouldn't just be Long Street.

Well, yeah, they would have to maybe Long Street Avenue Boulevard. Sure, yeah, it'd have to be something else other than a street, probably. Wow, yeah, sorry about that. No, no, look, look, it's Monday. You think about those things.

It's true. I mean, what can what can you say? All right, coming up tomorrow, we have a jam packed show. Dylan Ennis Freedom is coming by.

So excited for this, and it's going to be a lot of fun. We're going to ask him about the WNBA, and I don't. Why do I keep saying? You know why? Because the Howard Stern movie, I they the the way you pronounce WNBC is WNBC.

So whenever they, it was like a shtick in the movie.

So now whenever I hear WNBA, I say WNBA instead of WNBA. I like that better than just saying WNBA. That's it's better. WNBA. Anyway, any and as freedom is going to be here tomorrow.

Also, we're going to be talking to Josh Jones, who's going to give us the very latest in the world of politics. And of course, we're going to be taking your calls. And who knows what's going to happen around here? We are hanging out in Gainesville, Georgia. WDUN, folks, get out there.

Have a great day, America.
