From the Principal Toyota Studios, it's morning in Memphis with Todd Starnes. Good morning, Memphis. You don't need coffee with us. You don't need coffee. You just basically need to tune in the Principal Toyota Studios.

It is Wednesday, September thirtieth. Thirty four days to victory. Thirty four days. To the midterm elections. I am Frank Calvet, proud Memphian.

Sitting with me is Kristen New, still bringing her own gasoline to everything she runs into. On the board is Helen this morning, our favorite Gen Zer. We got a lot to cover today, a lot to cover.

So let's jump right into it. If you have any thoughts, give us a shout: two six zero fifty nine. 26. For your weather, real quick, it's going to be in the low 90s. It's going to be highs in the low 90s and lows in the low 70s.

And there's going to be that interesting thing, Kristen, towards the end of the week. Rain. It's called. The gods are going to rain down on us. It's going to rain.

We haven't seen that in a long, long time. But enjoy the non 155 degree temperatures today again. In baseball, the Cubs, Nats, Phillies, Dodgers, and Astros won their playoff games. I'm sorry to report that our Atlanta Braves came up just a bit short. In other sports news, it was announced yesterday that Memphis University School Christian Brothers High School, you know them as MUS and CBHS, they have backed out specifically of the football.

T W S double A classification.

Now, to shed light on this, because a lot of people were asking about this, what's basically happening in high school sports, Kristen? And you're a teacher at Hutchison. No, coach. I'm a coach. A coach.

A coach. Hutchison.

Well, what's happening is you have a lot of Division II private schools, and they have student housing.

Well, what they've done the last ten years is win the football state championship by recruiting that three hundred pound five star lineman from Vermont, housing them in their school.

Well, when they come to play, you know it's it's it's almost no contest.

So. I salute Mus and Christian brothers for putting academics first, putting those kids first, and teaching them love of the game, but focusing also and more importantly on academics. The University of Briarcrest, State University, and Lausanne—they've decided to stay. And I get it. Briarcrest is six and zero, and they've got an incredible team this year.

So. I salute the the right decisions, but it also to our listeners. This is normal. Look, guys, fifteen twenty years ago, the private leagues were created in TWSWA because groups like Brentwood were openly recruiting, even though it was illegal. They found parity, so I think for a while it's going to be a shakeup in the high school football landscape.

But at the same time, guys. It's all about our kids. People are getting tired of that too. They're getting tired of these people that recruiting these kids in, and they're taking actually the space away from some of the the kids are there. For non reasons, and then they're taking spots on the team because they have basically been purchased to go play for these high school teams.

And it's the same argument I had against the NIL: is that it ruins the sports and it ruins the the essence of of what it's supposed to be. And what we are teaching these kids is that that is okay, that it is okay to just throw money at it, buy your players, education be damned. Yes, you go sit on the sidelines here normally. You would be able to play, but you can't play now because we bought basically a kid to take your spot. We bought a kid to take your spot.

Well, Kristen, you know, interestingly enough, following up on our conversations last several days, the House, the United States House of Representatives, doesn't look like they're going to move forward on the NIL bill that the Senate passed.

So, unfortunately, it looks like the guardrails that we've talked about these last few days. Doesn't look like unfortunate. Doesn't look like we're going to get any action on that. As we're getting really into the news, it is Wednesday, September thirtieth. Today, Tennessee, in just a few hours, is going to execute Krista Pike, the first female in two hundred years.

And I know our listeners out there; several of them stopped me. And has told me, you know, yeah, I'd throw the switch. I'd throw the switch. Look, we're going to execute a very, very, very bad person, and all the makeup and and how they do her hair and present her as this victim. And look, Kristen, this lady tried to kill somebody in prison not five years ago.

But what I'd like you to do, dear listeners. Don't remember this person's name. Remember Colleen, Slamer. That's the victim today. And I'm not going to get emotional.

Not going to get emotional. Her parents are flying in from Florida. This 31 year nightmare of making sure the legal system got it right.

Well, I want you to say prayers for Colleen Slamer's family. And that this chapter is over for them, and hopefully they can continue and find some peace. Moving forward, though, we've got an action-packed show for you today. We're going to start this conversation in the time we have. Great news!

So, as you're talking to your friends and family and neighbors about why. They need to vote. Governor Brian Kemp of Georgia, like all good Republican governors, he, Kristen, is moving to remove the state tax on gasoline to help you, the consumer.

So, Leslie, my dear wife, who's listening to the show, your gasoline hopefully is going to go down because Republican leadership. Is going to work to take the taxes off of this, but more importantly, this is the conversation we've just passed the one year mark on the Memphis Safe Task Force.

Now, Kristen, walk me through this because I can't name a Democrat. That has supported the Memphis Safe Task Force, and now predictably, they're all quiet about crime has gone down.

Well, you know, it's the Memphis Safe Task Force is here because of the Democrats. Let's get that clear. We would not have to have the Memphis Safe Task Force if our Democrat leadership, if they were doing the job that that the people elected them to do in the first place. And let's not let's be clear: the Memphis State Task Force and the National Guard came here because not only was crime. But we have a lot of human trafficking that was going on here in Memphis, and so they have.

Found so many kids, and as a mother, that to me, that just gets at my heart. And I, I think that is so important that we don't talk about enough, and that we don't put enough emphasis on, is that the the human trafficking that Memphis, being a port city, has really had a problem with.

So they have come in. We have tons of federal agents here too, several hundred federal agents. I didn't realize it was several hundred, and they don't live here. No, no. They are actually they don't live here.

And then in summer we had a camp, a dance camp at a hotel here in Memphis, and a lot of the National Guard was housed there. And we talked to them. And I talked to one guy in the elevator, thanked them for him being here, and he said he was he's going on nine months, nine months away from his family, away from his wife and kid for nine months because he has a job to do, and he he he knows that. And the job, the thing is, they're here indefinitely.

So they don't know when it's going to end. They just go every day, and that that is so. Just that's dedication, dedication to their job and their oath of service. You you think of those folks, ladies and gentlemen, the same way we look at our service members. They they heard the calling.

That is their career. That is their path in life. And now they too are away from their families. The other piece, because we were talking off here. It is so refreshing to see so many police officers parked.

You know, Krista, you were telling me how police aren't just running from call to call to call to call. They actually have the chance to do community policing.

Well, what what the the task force is getting off of the plates is that when you make an arrest and you have to have The perp that you arrested, and they have to go to 201 Poplar for several hours, or they have to go to the med for several hours. You have to stay with them. They are taking that job over and putting those officers back on the street so they can go back to policing and not being babysitters for the people that they just arrested.

So it really frees up a lot of their time.

Well, to all of our good listeners who are out on the non-conabine or the 240, you know, all those times that I was nervous. Because I was driving over the speed limit. I stopped speeding when I saw all of those cars out there pulling people over. That's exactly right. You know, we speed.

We got to get somewhere. I get it. But now there are consequences to your bad actions, my bad actions. You know, we if we speed and we get caught, we've broken the law. We take our consequences.

We're not going to to do some crazy thing. Scream at the officers. We're not going to put ourselves or the officers in danger. And you have to understand when you're an officer and you're pulling somebody over, you don't know what you're about to step into. Very dangerous.

Very dangerous job. You know it. I think so much about their calling, and if any of our listeners or any of their children or family or friends. You know, if they feel the calling to be a law enforcement officer, strongly encourage it. It is public service.

You know, in politics, no, no, no, no. Public service is when you are going out into the dangerous areas. When you are, if if anything, causing people just to slow down. But equally important, when people turn around and get nervous, stopping us and saying, "Oh gosh, we're going to lose all of them." Look, this is a presidential order, and only President Donald J. Trump can stop it.

That's right; only he can stop it. And in Todd Starns, actually, is one of the. People who talked to President Trump during that twenty-minute conversation and put that bug in his ear and really got the ball rolling on this.

So we have to give Todd Sarns a lot of credit for this, and also Senator Brent Taylor for jumping on board and Marsha Blackburn for jumping on board. And these are the Republicans. These are Republicans that you talk about. Not one Democrat jumped on board. Not one.

Not one. Chris, awesome bringing that up because. Our very own state senator Brent Taylor will be joining us here in the next half hour. We're going to talk a little bit about crime in Memphis, but we're also going to talk about his race for Congress—that newly carved-out congressional district. Yeah, we're we're going to talk about it.

So, look, you don't need coffee. You've got us Frank, Kristen, Helen on the board. We are the principal Toyota Studios, and thank you again, Todd Starnes, for letting us host this morning. We're going to take an obscene capitalist profit break and come right back to you. This is Matt Rogers from Lost Culturista with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang.

This is Bowen Yang from Lost Culturista with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang.

Okay, we've been talking about QP Mail for a minute now, Bo, and wow, the feedback we're getting—I mean, so many of y'all love this stuff. You're stopping us in the street, going, "I." I love Kewpie, and if you're thinking, "Wait, what is Kewpie?" Do you not have the internet? It's the OG Japanese mayonnaise—the one with the red cap and the little baby on the bottle. Once you know it, you start seeing it everywhere. People ask what makes it different from basic mayo.

Well, the answer: egg yolks. Kewpie is made with egg yolks only, giving it this incredibly rich umami flavor that elevates everything—burgers, fries, sandwiches, chicken. Noodles, chefs use it. Restaurants use it. People who really love food and flavor use it.

Whatever you're eating, Cupy it.

So if you haven't tried Cupy yet, find the bottle with the red cap and see what everyone's talking about. You'll understand Cupy, the original Japanese mayonnaise. Hey, good morning again. It's Frank and Kristen. Helen's on the board.

We are blessed today, September thirtieth. Thirty-four days to victory. Adam Martin is in the studio today. We're going to talk a little bit about financial planning. Very, very important, Adam, because I'm having that conversation with my own mother.

Walk me through this, just from your side of the table. Yeah, we always, you know, we do a lot of helping people with building and accumulating assets, and I think we can all do a better job at communicating. What do we do with Afterlife and the assets that we've accumulated, and it's not so much about leaving those assets behind as much as leaving clarity behind. You know, for your heirs, they're the ones left behind, having to settle accounts, trying to figure out who does what, what goes where.

So, we always want you to be proactive and communicating, like passwords to online accounts, keeping them in a safe place, having identified person who is going to handle the trust, list the. As trustees, or have the conversation around having those important estate planning documents in place. That's got to be the hardest, at least for me. It was the hardest conversation with my mother because we're talking about when she's gone, and you know we talk very quickly about certain things. But I was catching up on passwords.

I was catching up and put them in safe places. Silly things like her identification, her security card, all of the different documents that you need. How can they get started? What are some of your suggestions of? How do you begin that conversation?

You know, I I think that it's it's a little. Easier said than done. Obviously, no one likes to have that conversation about death, but it's inevitable, and we know at some point we're going to face that. And we hope that that's long term, long you know, longer down the road, not sooner. But start simple.

Just you know, say, "Hey, mom. You know, we we all live in a world where it's digital. Everything's online. In the event that you're incapacitated, even if you're not gone, but I need to have access to help you with something. How do I do that?" What's your password?

That's right. What's the username? What's the website that I go to? Yeah, Adam. I don't think that you're too young to do that either, because people pass away.

Unfortunately, we just had that happen in my family, and I'm in my 40s. And my husband's brother passed away unexpectedly, and we did not know his passwords. But we weren't thinking that that way with him because he was so young. You know, even if you just are at home one day and you're and you're thinking about this, it's something that's on your mind. It's start making a little list.

Start small. You know, just start saying, "Hey, I've got a Navy Federal account. I've got a Regions account." And whether you put the username and pass Password on that piece of paper. Just knowing where to go to talk to somebody about these things because we can find a lot of stuff through social security numbers. And you know, if you just called the bank and said, "Unfortunately, I don't have access to their usernames and passwords, but I am listed as a trustee on their trust documents," it could go a lot further.

Okay, so what I'm hearing is. You have to begin with that tough conversation, and you need all that information in one place from passwords and all that. You know, I'm just thinking, mom's got a couple of credit cards, you know, Amazon Prime accounts, all these things that you need to shut down. Obviously, they need to talk to you, Adam Martin, because there's, I'm sure, a long checklist that you can walk everybody through. Definitely, and one of the other things that we do proactively is, you know, a lot of people have 401ks, they've got life insurance and stuff, but How many of those lives have changed since they put that plan in place to begin with?

So their beneficiaries need to be reviewed. You know, we want to make sure that the money is being passed to the person that you want it to be passed to. And what if we had a divorce and we never changed our spouse? It's it's as a realtor, I run into this all the time that you know, mom and dad have passed, and now the three kids have to sell the house, and there's no clear direction. That's right.

If so, what are some of the? I don't like doing horror stories per se, but what are some of the examples? And real estate, obviously, is my bread and butter, and I run into that without clear direction. What are some of the things that you run into, and why we need to do this? You know, we're kind of.

I had a case this week. We're dealing with they're not passed away, but they're older couples, and and they had a lot of questions around what do we need to do. They didn't even know where a lot of their Assets were and they were scattered out all over the place. They didn't even know where all the assets were. That's right.

I mean, and so I can see that as a as a wife too. If your husband takes care of all the financial decisions in your house, you might not know where all of your assets are. I've got to be really honest. There's a lot of women that don't really. Yeah, there are there.

There are a lot of women that don't know all of your husband's investment accounts, everything that he's going, all of his work. Business accounts, you might not know where they are, but definitely you probably might not know the passwords to get into them.

So that that's it's very scary to think about if you come into that situation where all of a sudden you're a stay-at-home mom, something happened to your husband, and you don't really know. What to do after that? I must be ahead of the game because first thing I do, about once twice a year, is I print out quite literally all of my passwords, and they go to my wife and my father in law. That as as I always say, if I if I get hit by the beer truck, you know these are the accounts. There's nothing else, so you can set everything up that way.

Well, in a digital world that we live in these days, what I simple advice: go buy a USB thumb drive, create a spreadsheet, put all of your usernames and passwords and websites on that, and lock it in a safe. Tell your heirs where it is. Ladies and gentlemen, that is Adam Martin. Put everything on the thumb drive. Give it to your spouse.

House and put it in a safe place. Adam, thank you so much for coming. Absolutely, thank you for having me. State Senator Brent Taylor is next. Stay with us.

Good morning, Memphis. You don't need coffee. You have us. I am Frank Colvet with Kristen New Helen on the board. Our favorite Gen Zer, and we are plus one.

We are plus one in the principal Toyota Studios. We are blessed here today to have State Center and Congressional candidate Brent Taylor. Brent, good morning. Good morning. How are y'all?

We need that canned round of applause. Like, let me tell you something. I guarantee there are a lot of people listening. Canned booze and beers. What are they doing?

I disagree. I bet a lot of people are driving to work now, applauding because, you know, I'd rather talk about crime. There we go. Thanks, Helen. See, let's let's get right into it because we only have so much time.

Yeah, the Memphis Safe Task Force just passed one year, and we were talking about how these agents are coming to Memphis. They're going away from their families. Several hundred of them. Crime is going down, and I'm looking at one of the people in state senator Brent Taylor that made that happen. Brent, what are your thoughts so far?

Well, if you remember, I ran for the Senate four years ago, and crime was at an all time high. And Kristen, you you remember this? You were on board early. Crime was at an all time high, and I. Pledged to the people of District Thirty-One that if you will elect me as your state senator, I will do everything I can to fight crime, and that's everything from raising awareness to changing laws to holding our Soros-funded DA accountable.

and And I did that from day one. The first step was working with Governor Lee and getting the state troopers here. And and they he sent down a wave of state troopers from other parts of the state. In the state senate, we added money to the state budget. We've hired additional state troopers.

When I took office and as state senator four years ago, we had roughly. Twelve to fifteen state troopers dedicated only to Shelby County, and this is why I don't speed anymore, Brent. I know.

So yeah, I got the house. I lost the award to prove it. That's right. And so we've added money to the budget, and the governor's commitment is to have fifty state troopers dedicated entirely to. Kristen, you okay?

Yeah, I am sorry. She literally spit out her coffee. She, she did well because I mean, of all of our dear listeners on the non-cannabon racing to work, slow down. There are way more state troopers ready to write you a high-velocity award. That's right.

And as a part of that, Senator Blackburn, Senator Haggerty. They reached out early on and said, "What can we do at the federal level to help?" And ultimately, what they did, they sent that when Kash Patel was up for his confirmation for FBI director, it was Senator Blackburn who said, "What are you going to do about Memphis?" And he sent the Operation Viper, which was an FBI-only operation. They literally made about 500 arrests. And that was the precursor to the Memphis Safe Task Force that President Trump sent here. And as y'all know, they've cut crime in half.

The numbers are literally cut crime outstanding, outstanding, and I'm I'm looking forward to more. I'm looking forward to higher numbers now that let's get now that we have a year in and we've gotten our sea legs. Kind of let's let's really go after it. Yeah, they they've cut crime in half. They've cut the murder rate in half.

Think about. There are people today walking around. In on the streets of Memphis, that will be able to enjoy Halloween with their kids. They'll be able to enjoy Thanksgiving. That will be able to enjoy Christmas with their families because they will not have been a victim of a murder.

Well, yeah. State Senator Brent Taylor is with us this morning. You know, i I was racing into the office this morning. High velocity. I may or may not have been breaking the speed limits, but I stopped off for gas, and we were talking.

Off the air. I just want to listen to stuff. I put gas in my car and my head wasn't on a swivel. You know, I wasn't sitting there looking around. I was aware of my surroundings just naturally.

But I've noticed that there is a difference. Thanks to you, thanks to U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn, candidate for governor, U.S. Senator Haggerty, who they both strongly endorse your candidacy for Congress. I've noticed there is a change.

There is a vibe difference in Memphis that people are okay now walking around on the streets, just not having to literally look over their shoulders.

Well, you are right. You can get gas at the gas pump now without your head having to be on a swivel, and it's a good thing now because you look and you see all the money that's going out of your pocket as you are filling up gas because gas prices are high, and and maybe we can talk about. That in another segment, but but you're right. People feel safe. It had gotten to the point where husbands would not let their wives get gas on their way home from work because it was that dangerous.

I'm one of them, and you know, and there were lists. Out there, that it didn't matter which list it was, you could look at. Memphis was always ranked the top five most dangerous cities. I even saw one list that had Memphis listed as one of the most dangerous cities in the world, ahead of of Baghdad and Mexico City. I remember that.

Yeah, but I will tell you, a lot of credit belongs to. To Mayor Young, the way he reacted to the Memphis Safe Task Force. Look, he he will tell you he made public pronouncements that he. Did not want the task force here, but he also said he was willing to work with anybody that wanted to make Memphis safe, and and he has done that. Even though he has disagreed with parts of it, he has not been an obstacle.

Much like the county mayor, the previous county mayor who sued to try to stop the National Guard and the Memphis Safe Task Force, Lee has been, or Mayor Young, rather, has been much more responsible in in working with the task. Brent, you bring up a great point. I mean, outside of the Memphis mayor, you know, when Lee Harris left county office, I kind of wondered what were his accomplishments, and I think everybody wonders.

Well, gosh, he opposed the task force. He opposed the crime going down by extension. I have yet to hear of a Democrat. That is in favor of the task force, and thus crime going down. I mean, have you heard of any?

No, the nearest thing, like I said, is is Mayor Young, is the the nearest one. I will tell you, my my opponent in the congressional race, Democrat Socialist Justin J. Pearson, he has been opposed. He calls it an occupation, and he literally. Wants the task force to leave and and and refuses to recognize the the benefit that the task force has brought to Memphis in keeping crime down.

Well, that's a great segue as we're all driving to work and getting ready. Brent Taylor, Senator Taylor is running for Congress, District Nine, and I don't think anybody doubts Justin Pearson is a socialist, and he he calls an occupation. When crime is going down, and I submit to you, eighty to ninety percent of Memphians do not have a problem with crime going down, and they do not see this as an occupation. Let's talk about your campaign. How the newly drawn ninth congressional district?

How much of that is in Shelby County? Shelby County has. Been divided into three different congressional districts, and by the way, this is not the first time that Shelby County has been divided into three different congressional districts. I ran in two thousand two for Congress. That was the the year that Marshall Blackburn was elected.

And all I can say is you hadn't got an ass whipping to get you one in Marsha Blackburn ass weapons, and she won that election. And Shelby County was was divided into three congressional districts as it is now.

So this the Democrats did that in in two thousand two. And so it it starts in Memphis. It's about the lower one third, the southern one third of Shelby County, then takes in the lower half of Fayette County, and then it's one county wide all the way across the Mississippi and Alabama state line, over to Fayetteville, which is in Lincoln County, and then turns north and goes all the way up to the city limits of of Nashville, and so it's a long linear district, and but it looks like Tennessee. It's got an urban core. It's got suburban communities in East Memphis and Shelby County and Fayette County.

Then it has another suburban area up in Williamson County, suburb of Nashville, and then all the counties in between are rural counties. And it looks like Tennessee. Tennessee has urban centers. It has suburban communities. It has rural areas, and so it looks like Tennessee.

And and I think. These districts are better off this way because it'll force candidates and congressmen like myself. To make sure that we identify the needs of our district, which will look like the needs of Tennessee, and how is redistricting? How do you think that helps voter turnout? Because that's something that I'm really concerned with: voter turnout.

And we need to get these Republicans out to the the polls, because not only does it affect your congressional race, but the congressional race affects all of the down ballot races. And if we don't do a good job with the Republican turnout in these congressional districts, then I'm afraid candidates like Gillespie. Might bear some of that that turnout problem that he has in his race because we do need to not only win these congressional seats but we have to win these down ballot seats as well. We do, and and and John Gillespie, Representative Gillespie, and by the way, he he has been excellent. In the state house, as a partner with me in helping hold our Soros-funded DA accountable in crime bills, and he is in a knife fight in a phone booth every two years.

But I encourage people to to go out and and support John Gillespie. But we we have to get we have to get our voters out. That is what concerns me. Perhaps we can talk about this, but the way Democrat Socialist Justin J. Pearson wins is if our voters don't show.

That's right, and and I don't even want, even if we win, I don't want them to start pulling away some of these Republican voters, and they just kind of chip away. And I think that sometimes the long game for the Democrats is just to start chipping away at these counties, and it really hurts us in the long run as we get down the ballot.

Well, and by the way, Kevin Snyder is on the phone. But we're Kevin. Hang on, we're going to come at you after the break because let's continue talking about this John Gillespie race. These down. Ballot races, you know, you and I have worked a lot of campaigns, Brent, and we've seen what happens in those down ballot races when we do not work hard to get our message out.

And everybody, reminder: election day is thirty four days, thirty four days to victory. Early voting starts in fourteen days. Early, the candidate would know that. Definitely, it's in our DNA. As an undertaker, I encourage everyone.

To vote early, you just never know. You never know. Yeah, we had the financial planner here earlier. Y'all were just talking about end of life. That's right.

And and I'll remind everyone, as a funeral director, the death rate's a hundred percent. Yeah. And I also remind people, as a funeral director and as a member of Congress, I'll be the last person to ever let you down.

Well, I agree to that.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, stay with us. We have to take an obscene capitalist break with some commercials, pay the bills, but we are here with State Senator. Brent Taylor, candidate for Congress, and we have Kevin Snyder on the phone. We'll get right back to you. Stick around.

Good morning, Memphis. You don't need coffee. You have us. Frank Colbert, proud Memphian. Kristen New, proud Germantown.

Helen on the board, proud Gen Z. And with us, very special guest, great friend of the program, State Senator Brent Taylor, also candidate for Congress, District Nine. Let's go straight to the phones. Kevin Snyder has been awesome holding. Kevin, are you there?

I am. Here I'm driving, so I hope you can hear me well. And thank you for filling in for Todd. I'm big fans of all three of you. Good morning, Kevin.

Well, thank you very much. What's on your mind?

Well. I think Brent kind of nailed the head of this craziness. I mean, we literally, for lack of a good term, have lunatics running in the Democratic Party right now, or this new Democratic Party, if you will. I mean, you've got you know this Justin Pearson guy hanging out with somebody named Pike who thinks America deserved 9/11, and more recently, you have Jerry Green embracing my. Favorite Minnesota Governor Tampon Tim.

I mean, this—they're not even hiding it anymore. They want to turn Tennessee into a socialist society of lawlessness. It's insane, and Republicans, I think, have got to pay attention to this and turn out. They're not even hiding it anymore. You got to turn out.

I mean, where I live in Fayette County, we had record turnouts, and we expect it to even be more this year. But the suburbs of Shelby County, come on, you got to get out and vote. That's right, Kevin. You you are you you touched on it, and that is the look. The way Democrat Socialist Justin Pearson wins, he does not win by.

Convincing a Republican to leave me and go vote for him. There's no Republican is going to leave and and go vote for Democrat Socialist. There are there are no undecideds in this race. The the choice is clear. It's either competence or chaos.

It's either common sense or communism, and people recognize that.

So there are no undecideds that are going to go his way. But let me tell you, Democrat Socialist Justin Pearson wins. He wins by turning out the vote. In Shelby County, because he's going to whip them into a frenzy over the fact that the redistricting occurred, and somehow that was a racist thing. And our voters stay home, and they're upset at high gas prices, they're upset at inflation, and they stay home.

But look, the reason they need to turn out is we need to bring inflation down. And I have created jobs. I've been a business owner. I've created jobs. Democrat socialist Justin Pearson, as far as I know, has never even had a job.

And we can't entrust him with how to fix the economy and how to to bring inflation down. I think there are three ways we can do that. One is we cut wasteful Washington spending. I have a track record in the state Senate. I sponsored the legislation that got the audit done here at the Memphis Shelby County School System, where they identified over one hundred and twenty million dollars in waste, fraud, and abuse.

I voted for that. I sponsored it. Democrat Socialist Justin Pearson voted against it. The other thing we need to do is we need to unleash American energy. In the state senate, I voted for the Tennessee Freedom Energy Act, and my opponent voted against it.

My opponent also stopped a pipeline that had that pipeline, the Bayhulia pipeline, been put in place, we'd still have high gas prices, but they wouldn't be as high as they were because it would have allowed Valero Refining Company here in Memphis to get cheaper oil to be able to to refine for gasoline. Then the third thing we need to do. Is we need to cut regulation on our family farms and small businesses in the state senate. I sponsored the Tennessee Regulatory Freedom Act. My opponent voted against it.

So at every turn. When Democrat Socialist Justin Pearson had the opportunity to vote on legislation that would have kept prices down in Tennessee, he voted the other way. I have a track record of bringing prices down for Tennesseans. I want to take that track record and go to Congress, and but we can't do that if our voters stay at home, and we got to get our voters out to vote.

Well, Brett, that that you know. A a businessman going into government, you're setting out your agenda. You're setting out your goals. The goals are for everyone and a better life. You know, my wife and I, we're filling our cars up.

We're freaking out, and yet I'm. We've taught. Our listeners and worked with our listeners last several days about why prices are high.

Okay, but they were higher for longer under Joe Biden. Joe Biden stopped the keystone the Keystone pipeline. Joe Biden stopped drilling offshore. Democratic Socialist Justin Pearson wants to do the same thing. I doubt he has a plan other than saying Dems good, Republicans bad.

Now there. He's he's this is a Republican district now, at least marginally. He's wanting to debate you now.

Now walk me through this. How could you possibly be more different? What's the point of a debate?

Well, you're exactly right. That everybody knows what the contrast is. You know, you the reason you debate is to create contrast so that voters can choose between one candidate and the other. The contrast is clear. It's either competence or chaos.

And the other thing I'll say is, I don't share the debate stage with anybody that goes nose to nose with law enforcement, calls and calls them a stupid mf'er or a mf boy. I'm not going to do that. That's that's exactly the point. The contrast couldn't be better, couldn't be more distinct. State Senator Brent Taylor running for Congress.
