As prices keep rising, Social Security is even more important to older Americans. I counted it to pay for groceries and prescriptions. Everything costs more now. AARP is fighting to protect the Social Security Americans earn through a lifetime of hard work. I've paid into Social Security since I was a teenager.

It isn't a handout. I earned it. Join us to stand up for Social Security. Visit aarp.org/slash socialsecurity voter, paid for by AARP. From the principal Toyota Studios, it's morning in Memphis with Todd Starns.

All right, you better put Red Bull on the fruit loops, ladies and gentlemen. We have got a jam-packed show for you today. Senator Marsha Blackburn is going to be here in just a little while. Connie McCarter, running for mayor in Lakeland, is going to be here. We have a lot of news.

It was a terrible weekend for crime across the Mid-South, just pretty much a war zone. Of course, Memphis police are still searching for the people responsible for that double shooting in Hickory Hill over the weekend. That was at Knight Arnold and Ridgeway. We'll keep you updated there. Another big story we're following, by the way, State Representative Justin Pearson and so-called faith leaders are now renewing calls to end the Memphis Safe Task Force this after this insane weekend of violence.

And of course, we are watching the Heat dome. The good news is, folks, there is some relief on the horizon. And KWIMS chief meteorologist Laura Huckabee will be along in just a little while to tell you all about that. In the meantime, we are honored to have in studio one of the busiest guys out there in the 9th Congressional District, State Senator Brent Taylor, in studio this morning. Senator, good to have you.

Good to have you. Glad to be here. I knew there was a 7:04 in the morning because I could look at the clock and tell it was actually one. This is really early, Todd. It's very early, and I'm a night owl.

This is my problem.

So I have to force myself now to go to bed early, and it never works out. Normally, there's a football game or something on, and you know, it catches my attention. And the next thing you know, three hours of sleep.

Well, I'll tell you what happens. I do the same thing. I wind up watching television and watching the history channel or something. And next thing I know, I'm all into some ancient aliens documentary that's really important at one o'clock in the morning. And then To have to get up the next morning, I'm thinking, oh, what in the world was I thinking?

Hey, I don't even care about ancient aliens. Speaking of alien creatures, can we talk about this race? First of all, how's it going? You've been literally out there. I know you've been getting some blowback from the local folks who miss you because they haven't seen you.

And the reason why is it is a freaking big district here in the 9th. It is. It's 200 miles long. When I go to Fayetteville, for example, we were just in Fayetteville over the weekend. You go all the way over there.

It is a four-hour trek from Memphis all the way over to Fayetteville, and then you turn north and you go all the way up to Williamson County.

So it is a very big district, and it's 750,000 of the finest Tennesseans you ever want to meet. What is something that maybe you did not know that you know now about the district?

Well, just how diverse it is. I mean, it literally looks like Tennessee. It stretches from Whitehaven at Graceland. It has an urban core. It has a suburban area to it and suburban Shelby and Fayette counties.

And then you go up to Williamson County. There's a suburban area there. And then there's a lot of rural area.

So it's been interesting to see how this district really does look like Tennessee. And I think that will make me and Charlie Hatcher, who's running the 5th district, make us better congressmen because we will have to really represent Much of what Tennessee looks like. I think there is a lot of concern here locally. We had a black pastor call in, and he is very concerned that Justin Pearson is gaining ground. I think everybody's seen the polling that allegedly said he was within four points, pointing out you've got to do your research into the polls, and that's a left-leaning poll, but still four points.

What do you make of that? What's going on there? Because people are scared about having a DSA candidate elected in the ninth.

Well, first of all, the polling that Democratic Socialist Justin Pearson put out does not match our polling.

However, I will say it is a bad environment, Todd, for Republicans. I mean, if you look at districts all across the country, Democrats have the advantage going into this election.

So there are headwinds for Republicans.

So we have to treat that poll as if it could be accurate. And that's why we're out every Every week campaigning, getting our message out that look, the way to And we know, by the way, Todd, that people are feeling the pinch at the gas pump. We know that they're feeling the pinch at the grocery store. But to get inflation down. And to help improve the economy, you can't elect the democratic socialist.

What you need to do is elect somebody who has a record. of making sure that we cut wasteful spending and that we cut regulation on our family farms and our family businesses. And those are the types of things you need to look at to reduce this inflation and improve our economy. And look at the record that I've got. I have done that in the state senate.

And you look at the record of Democratic Socialist Justin Pearson, who has not even been able to pass gas in the state legislature. He's wanting to debate you.

Well, look, he can keep wanting to debate all he wants, but I don't share the debate stage with anybody. Who gets up nose to nose with a law enforcement off officer and calls him a stupid Mfer. And calls them an MMF boy. I just don't share the debate stage with people like that. And we're going to carry our message out to the people of the 9th Congressional District, Tennessee Niners, as I call them.

And I suggest he focus on them and getting his vote out and reaching voters rather than trying to get me to help his campaign. You mentioned the headwinds here. What is it that's concerning voters? I mean, when you look at the President's agenda, it looks like a winning agenda. What's the problem out there for Republicans?

Look, let's face it, you go, there's $4 a gallon gas. People want gas prices down. People don't like the fact that we're embroiled in this war in Iran, and we thought that this war should be over by now. We have to finish it over there. And once we do that, and we can keep the Strait of Hormuz open, that will help bring gas prices down and improve the inflation.

But, Todd, what we have to do is we have to quit depending on these Middle Eastern tyrants for our energy. We need to unleash American energy here in America, and then we don't have to be dependent on what the hell happens over at the Hormuz Strait. You know, another big issue for farmers has been bringing in the Argentinian beef, bringing in foreign beef. The cattle farmers up in arms over that. They are, and look.

We have to be clear. These tariffs are hurting some industries in Tennessee. And I support the President on the issue of tariffs. I believe it is a way to make sure that Americans aren't continuing to be ripped off. But what we have to do, and what I want to do in Congress is, I want to work with the administration, and where there are Tennessee farmers, Tennessee businesses, Tennessee industries that are feeling the pinch of these tariffs and the pain that they could cause, I want to work with the President to help get.

Our Tennessee business is on the exclusion list. And so I support the president's effort on the tariffs, but I want to also work with him to exclude much of what is going on here in Tennessee so we can protect our farmers, our cattle farmers, and our Tennessee industries and right here in Memphis with FedEx. I think one of the big challenges here is just how radical Justin Pearson is. And I don't think the average person living in the 9th Congressional District understands that. This is a guy who sat on a couch with Hassan Piker, the guy who believes America deserved what happened on 9-11.

Why is it that Justin Pearson is sharing a couch with this guy?

Well, that would be a good question for Radical Democrat socialist Justin Pearson. He says he's not DSA. But yet he shares the the couch with Hassan Piker wearing a mouseuit, I might add. And if you look in the background, There are signs behind Democratic Socialist Justin Pearson that says Democratic Socialist of America.

So he can't hide from it. He shared the couch with Hassan Piker, a known uh radical who who said that The United States was the worst country in the world, and that America deserved what happened on 9-11. Radical Justin Pearson shared the stage with Zahn Piker, who was wearing a Mao suit. own that uh podcast. And I think it's disgraceful.

And I think the Tennessee Niners need to look Into Justin Pearson, they will see that he really is radical. It is interesting when you think about it because here he is, Pearson, sharing, and surely he had to have known about the things that Hassan Piker had said in the past. But instead of calling him an MFing boy, saying, What do you mean you hate America? He didn't do that. He was all smiles and giggles with this guy.

Yet he was so far up beside Piker's rear end that his feet were dangling out. And I think it's important that people hold him accountable for sitting on the couch with Hassan Piker after saying that America deserved 9-11 and that The United States is the worst country on the planet. And he is there like a fanboy sucking up to Hassan Piker wearing a mouseuit. I want to play some audio here. Memphis Mayor Paul Young went to the Congressional Black Caucus gathering in D.C.

I wouldn't wish that on anybody, but it was rough because they came after him. Angela Rye was just a, she was basically a Congressional Black Caucus version of Karen. And here's how she spoke. She really spoke dismissively of our mayor, the issue, Elon Musk, and these data centers. Let's take a listen real quick to what the mayor had to say.

Like while all of these other civil and human rights are at risk, to be doing a business deal with a fraud, I think is probably the biggest, or I shouldn't say, I don't want to speak for folks in Memphis, but it's probably one of the largest concerns. Yeah, that's one of the states. Then when you're also talking about water, you think about Flint, you think about Jackson. You don't want to put your city in the same position there when there's already such economic depression.

So so to first of all, I don't have to be coached on not trustin' dude. Oh, I ain't no fool. Like, I'm not stupid. I understand. This is a trillionaire.

It's not about trusting him. I'm for Memphis. I'm not for dude. I'm for Memphis. Remember Our community has been shrinking.

Everything that our community is operates the data center. They do. Who is they? XAI SpaceX AI. Who owns SpaceX AI?

Elon Musk.

Okay. All right. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. That has nothing to do with me trusting him.

He paid for a piece of property in our city. A transaction that me as mayor, I don't stop a transaction between two private parties.

So I come in. after the transaction and try to negotiate things that we can get. like a two hundred million dollar grey water facility. like investments in the community around us with schools. Who knows what's going there the biggest thing happening in the global economy right now is data centers.

This is the biggest thing happening. in the global economy.

So it's up to us to figure out are we going to just say put a fence around our communities we don't want to play a part in the global economy or the future? Or are we going to say, let's figure this thing out? We have to figure it out in real time. I want to stop this where to say you get the gist of it here. I appreciate the mayor.

I think he's got the right point here. And yeah, there are some issues with the data centers. Looks like they're trying to figure them out. But the idea that we're just going to push Elon Musk and say, you know what, we don't want you here in Memphis. But you see, this goes back to just like my opponent.

uh Democratic Socialist Justin Pearson. They don't understand capitalism. They don't understand free enterprise. They think, if you heard her question, or her statement. They they talk like government owns the means of production.

That somehow Uh The mayor can force SpaceXAI to do something that they want. The mayor has an exact right. SpaceX, XAI, bought that property. They did not get a single dime in government. incentive money.

They built that, they built their data center. And the mayor is doing what he can as our government allows, local government allows him to do. But Look, data centers, there is a headwind against data centers. And the only data center bill, Todd, that came out of the legislature last year that regulated data centers was a bill that I sponsored that basically addressed a lot of the concerns that people have, and that is that if they produce if they require infrastructure improvements. That the data centers have to pay for that infrastructure improvement.

They can't pass that on to taxpayers and the people who pay rates at the utility. Also, it says that if they generate too much electricity, they have to generate their own power. And I supported that. I got that passed in the legislature. It's now a law.

But you know who voted against it? Democrat Socialist Justin Pearson, he voted against the one bill that would have regulated the industry that he is railing against. It shows that he wants the issue more than he wants a solution. And so I think that's important.

Now the other thing is it ought to be up to local communities across the state and across the country to decide where data centers go. It should be local input, but but we should Yeah, all of us are dependent on the data centers for the phones that we use and the computers and the artificial intelligence that Really, we'll make our life better if we can put guardrails around it. All right. Senator, we got to leave it there. Where can people go if they want to get involved in the campaign?

They want to make a donation. Where can they do that? Yeah.

So Brent Taylor for Congress.com. Brent TaylorforCongress.com. Go there if you'd like a yard sign. Look. We've spent every dime we raised in the primary, and my opponent, he is that ACK Blue network.

He can send out a text message, raise a quarter of a million dollars. And we're out here, we're trying to raise money and to get our message across so that we can make sure that we defeat. Democratic Socialist Justin J. Pierce. November.

There you have it, ladies and gentlemen. State Senator Brent Taylor running in the 9th Congressional District. The choice is very clear, very clear. And we've got to make sure that we do not send a communist to Capitol Hill. Senator, good to see you.

Safe travels. Thank you. I appreciate it. People are looking for competence, not chaos, common sense, not a communist. All right.

We'll be right back. Let's check in with Commander Chock. All right, starting off your day in the mid-south right here on the By Day 990, I'm Todd Starks. Do you remember? When it first died, September, love was changing the mind, tonight.

You know, Dylan, I hope somebody's dancing down at JoJo's right now. You know, they're listening to us. on the smartphone on the KWAM app. They have to be. This is a great song.

It's a terrific song. I wonder, though, if we're going to remember how freaking hot it's been in September. I hope not. I want to forget that part. What?

Fall starts this week? It's supposed to. I don't think it's going to. Anyway, great to have you with us, and you have made the right choice. By the way, I want you to do us a favor.

I want you to tell a friend that they've got to wake up in the morning with the Mighty 990. We have a lot of fun, and we are really your only locally owned, locally run news radio station. And we're bringing you all of the candidates, Republican, Democrat, Independent, right here on the Mighty 990. By the way, speaking of that, new survey out from Target Smart, they have surveyed about 600 likely voters, and Marshall Blackburn coming out on top of the gubernatorial poll, 45%, Democrat Jerry Green, 36%, and Independent David Hatley, 10%. That's going to be the guy to watch because he's about to drop a whole lot of money into this race, and that very well could change the outlook of things.

Hatley expected to pull voters away from Marsha Blackburn. Also, a couple of big events today here in the Mid-South. This is happening down at the main library. That's the Benjamin Hooks Central Library. There is a brand new music lab for teenagers being dedicated today.

It's the Tay Keith Music Lab. All of that happens at 11:30 this morning. And the project in memory of the Grammy-nominated Memphis producer.

So, what a great thing that's happening for Memphis teenagers. Also, congratulations to Diana Howard. Diana, Ms. Howard is an English teacher and librarian at Middle College High School. Get this.

Over the weekend, she got a $1,000 check from the College Football Playoff Foundation and the AutoZone Liberty Bowl. Miss Howard's been an educator here in the Mid-South for 23 years, and she plans to get this. She's going to use her cash to buy supplies and equipment for the classroom. What a great lady there! And congratulations to Miss Howard there at Middle College High School.

Connie McCarter, running for mayor of Lakeland, coming up next. Hang tight, everybody. No, no, no, no. And welcome back, everybody. It is a wild morning here in the K-Wham studios.

State Senator Brent Taylor here. Coming up in just a little while, we're going to check in with Marsha Blackburn, who is running for governor. And we are jam-packed. We've got a lot of folks running for office coming through. We're going to get to our guest in just a moment.

A couple of big things happening in the Mid-South. I want to share those with you. There is a major, major food drive that's. That's coming up in Olive Branch. And we're going to tell you more about that later this week.

Also, the Hernando Water Tower Festival is over at the historic square, Courthouse Square. That kicks off later this weekend, coming up on Saturday. More than 150 vendors expected. They're going to have a kids' zone food truck.

So much fun. The Hernando Main Street Chamber behind that big event. And. In downtown, the Orpheum Theater Group celebrating Dolly Parton this coming Friday for free screenings of the movie 9 to 5. That's happening down at the Halloran Center.

All that information we'll post on kwamradio.com. I have to add, I'm just curious. I'm going to put our next guest, Connie McCarter, who's going to be running for mayor, who is running for mayor of Lakeland. And Connie, you're going to have to deal with these journalists that just ask you random questions.

So this is a trial for you. Are you a big Dolly Parton fan? Yes, I am. I love Dolly Parton. As a teenager, I loved her music.

As a matter of fact, Todd, I aspired to be a singer at one time in my life. Is that right? Yes, I was always in the talent shows and had many offers to pursue that career, but I decided to forego that and go into nursing. And so, but I still enjoy singing to this day. But I remember the coat of many colors.

And I would sing that. Of course, I will always love you. And loved all of those songs. And Dolly is such a great example for all women and men as well, for everyone. And the way that she gives, I just always will value that because I was brought up to always give, give to others, and give of myself.

And I have a servant heart. And I thank God for that. You know, I had to have the heart thing done down at Baptist East, and the nurses there, you brought up nurses and singing. I'm not good with drugs, Connie. And so when they gave me the Benadryl, I think that's what it was.

And I just, you know, I'm not used to that kind of stuff. But I told the nurse, I said, I hear Barry White singing right now. And she said, enjoy the ride. We love nurses here on the Mighty Night. Thank you.

Thank you. Nurses are actually, according to the Gallup Poll, for 16 years plus the most trusted profession. And I'm proud to say I'm a registered nurse. And thank you so much for that.

Well, all I can tell you is anybody who has a legal right to poke you with the needle, you got my respect. That's right. That's right. Connie, you're running for mayor of Lakeland, and this is, I mean, this may be genetic because that position runs in the family, from what I understand. Yes, it does.

My brother and sister and I were brought up to always put God first and then family, and always to give and to give to our society and give to others. My dad was always involved in a conservative values that he taught us to look and to seek people to represent us well in our city, in our county, and so forth.

So we were always exposed to that. My dad. pursued um the position of Lakeland Commissioner, and he was elected from 1995 to 97. And then he decided to run for Lakeland Mayor after serving only two years as commissioner. And so he ran for Lakeland Mayor.

And he won that election in 97 and he served until 2001. And my dad and I had several conversations, a lot of conversations last year. My dad passed away October 19th last year. And I was so grateful for the time I had to spend with him and for him to give me a lot of his advice and insight. But, you know, one of the things he said was his bigest achievement as mayor was when he was able to bring the first school to Lakeland.

And a lot of people don't realize that, but he was able to, with Shelby County, Mayor Jim Route was in office then, and many others to bring Lakeland Elementary School there. And, you know, he was so proud because it did not cost the citizens of Lakeland anything for Lakeland Elementary. Back then. I want to talk about something that happened on the show last week, and we believe in being fair and balanced here on K-Wham. Your opponent was a guest on this morning show.

He's the incumbent mayor. Yes. And he came after you and made all sorts of accusations. First of all, he said that you were not a true conservative. I'm just wondering what your thoughts are about what the mayor had to say about you and your campaign.

Well, I I'm really surprised that he would say such a thing because I have uh been very active in uh the Shelby County and also the State Republican Party and I might say even even the National Republican Party for for three decades at least. And then my family has always been involved in the party over my entire life. And when you think about a conservative Republican, if you look in the dictionary and look up conservative Republican, my picture's right there. Because what does that mean? What does conservative Republican mean?

Well, it's our economic policy. I believe in supporting lower taxes. I believe in reduced government regulation. I believe in free market. I believe in the trade measures and the tariffs.

I believe in the social values. I believe in protecting our Second Amendment gun rights. I believe in restrictions on abortions. And I believe in preserving traditional and faith-based values. One of the reasons that people know I believe in that so strongly is that I brought back the National Day of Prayer observance in Lakeland when I was elected in 2022 as commissioner.

And my dad also ensured that there was an observance during his term as mayor. I have very strong ties with my family and faith. Also, I believe as a conservative Republican in the role of government, that we should advocate for limited federal government to promote the state's rights and maintain strong defense and military. And again, I believe in immigration and law, supporting the strict border enforcement. In opposing illegal immigration and a firm emphasis on the rule of law.

Are all of those big problems in Lakeland? I would say that. The one thing that the biggest issue we have in Lakeland right now is transparency. Accountability and responsible spending. Is the mayor doing a good job or a lousy job?

You know, I don't like to be very critical of people, but I do like to point out the truth. Lakeless projected debt. is a hundred and one million. And that's projected for June of 2027. This debt is not acceptable.

with approximately 14,000 in our population, that is 7,000. Dollars, responsibility for every man, woman in childhood.

Now I'm running because I believe Lakeland deserves a mayor who listens to the people. The people are hungry. I've been knocking doors since September first. I have not seen my opponent knock a door. I have not seen that.

But when I knock the doors, the people want to talk to me. One of the things I have done. That our current mayor has not done is since October of 2023, I have sent a recap out of our meetings to our constituents. Continue to do that. And my email is growing by leaps and bounds every day.

And the people have thanked me as I knock their doors for that. Connie, why are you guys in debt?

Well, I'm going to tell you how we're in debt.

Okay, we have a debt mix by purpose as of June 30th, 2027. And you can find this on our Lakeland website. And currently, 41% of our debt is our high school construction, 13% middle school construction, okay? We also have 22% in public works projects, sewer interceptor. Our mayor, since he's been elected as mayor, and our board of commissioners that I serve with, because remember, Todd, we are a city manager commission form of government.

Okay? And so the mayor is really no more than a titular mayor. The mayor has the right to ability to sign ordinances, to do ribbon cuttings, and so forth. But not the true form of power that you see in a mayor-alternan form of government.

So since he's been in office, he has promoted lots of development.

Now, development is good, but the development can be bad if it strains the backs of the taxpayers and if it disrupts the normal function of our city. And I'm seeing so many developments that have been started and nothing is finished. And that's one of the things that the constituents are not happy with. But back to where the debt is. Again, the sewer interceptors and the sewer plant that we are having to develop because of all of the development.

And that is, and, sir, let me say this: our sewer rates have gone up 30% this year. Many people are complaining because their MLGW bill, they're seeing it double. It's going to go up 30% for the next four years. And also we've got New Canada Road, Lakeland Community Center, and Beverly Rivera Roadway Extension.

So that's where your debt's coming in. The mayor insinuated that you are not pro-law enforcement. Oh, my goodness. That is just the the that's so untrue. That's so untrue.

Well, you know, this is where I think he's coming up with this. I voted against the hotel, the Ocano Lodge Hotel condemnation and imminent domain. And the reason I voted against that Um, I did not want a hotel where there is crime going on. But, Todd, in my opinion, The sheriff could have come in and made some arrests there, okay, and done their job. And then this hotel could have been have been declared a public nuisance.

I brought this up to the board, but. This is not what the mayor and the board wanted to do. They wanted to condemn the hotel and take it by imminent domain. The hotel would have been closed if it had been declared a public nuisance. Then guess what?

You know where this land is? This is prime commercial property. Right off the expressway, which our city spent a lot of money on our expressway system so that people could get to that prime commercial property. That would have been saved for a business off the interstate, and we would be seeing generation of higher tax revenues.

So this was totally lost. We have lost our commercial property for perpetuity. Currently, there is a YMCA that is being erected there.

Okay. Now, I'm not against YMCA, but at that time I said if we're going to get YMCA a community center, which I was told the people wanted, but only 158 people filled out a survey who said that they might consider it, that's not. As much as not even close to four of 14,000 people.

So, um, like I say, The YMCA is going there now, so that's a nonprofit. And then the YMCA is another thing that a lot of our constituents are not happy with because guess what? That is costing us millions of dollars to build. We have spent millions on this project and it's still not complete. Hopefully we will see it complete next year.

All right. Connie, where can people go if they want to get more information about you? They want to get more information about your campaign. They can go to Um Connie McCarter's Facebook, and they can also go to. McCarter for mayor.com.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. McCarter for mayor.com, thank you so much. And so forth. And one thing I do want to point out that the mayor also brought up was that my father supported him.

Well, let me just read I just want to share one thing, and this is what I actually uh found on my dad's Facebook that is still there today. He posted this December 28th of 2023. As 2023 comes to an end, I want to say to Mayor Josh Roman and the city commissioners that in their first year in office, they have raised our property taxes again. That's when they went from $1.4 to $1.19. and have spent more tax money than any other administration in its first year of public service.

I want to say that if this Josh Roman administration spending continues, Lakeland will get more and more in debt, now pushing more than $90 million plus in the near future. Is this what Lakeland taxpayers want?

Now is the time for conservative Lakeland citizens to step up and save Lakeland that used to be the dream city. From these fiberless spenders. Let's make Lakeland a conservative city once again who cares for the taxpayers and not what the politicians want. Does that sound like support to you? All right, Connie McCarter, McCarterPremayor.com.

We'll be right back. You know what I really wanted to do this morning, Dylan? I wanted to play some of the great audio from the student party at Ole Miss as they warmly embraced and welcomed Lane Kiffen back to campus, but. How you want to just bend beef? Yeah, we couldn't have done that.

Yeah, not even national television could bleep that out. No, they were so loud and in unison. By the way, can I just? I don't know if you watch Game Day. We we love Morgan Freeman.

But I think there's one role that he is not qualified for. Yeah.

And that was it. That's it. That right there. I was wondering if you caught that because I was thinking. Man, I guess he does get old.

Yeah, wow. For the longest time, I'm like, Morgan Freeman doesn't age. And then I saw him on game day and I'm like, yeah, he does. You know, it's it's interesting. I think the concern is that when you don't have a script for him, Yeah.

He's not, there's not a lot there. Not a lot to rehearse. But, you know, it's Morgan Freeman. He's a legend. But the funniest thing, maybe the saddest thing that he said was: if I don't pick Ole Miss here, I might not be able to go home.

That is true. Yes, he did. And he was wearing Ole Miss gear. He was. He was ready to pick Ole Miss.

You know he was, but. You know, the fans were not going to let him out of there if he did. No. And the Tigers had a good win. Yeah, go Tigers, hotty-totty.

Everything, like. You know, Tennessee Vols, all the Tennessee teams had a good week. Vanderbilt, that Vanderbilt game with NC State. That was crazy. Holy cow.

What a way to end. Unbelievable. It really was.

So, anyway, you're right. But it was a great weekend. And Parker May, no doubt, we should have given him two minutes for the conversation. By the way, we're going to have to hold our interview with Marsha Blackburn until tomorrow, but that's okay. Marsha had a lot to say, and we did a pre-tape interview.

So we'll have Marsha on tomorrow's program.

Now, if you are a candidate and you are running for office, then give us a call. We will provide a platform. And again, we want to have conversations with all of the candidates, Republican, Democrat, Independent.

So just reach out to us on our website or you can give us a call here at KWAM 901-260-5926. Again, that number, 901-260-5926. Also, don't forget the organization. Morpheum Theater hosting the free screenings of 9 to 5. There salute Dolly Parton Movie Day.

That's coming up Friday.

So if you want something fun and free to do, then you need to go to Dolly Parton Movie Day. I mean, it really is that simple. All right. Very good. Coming up, 11 o'clock today, the Todd Stern Show.

We have a Jam Pack show. I'm going to explain what's really going on with the White House and their decision to ban CNN. MS, DNC, or PMS Now, and also Politico.

So there's a backstory there. And yours truly happened to be right in the third. Thick of it.

So looking forward to having that conversation at 11 o'clock today. And I'm going to take you back in the time machine and I'm going to tell you about the time that Barack Hussein Obama literally kicked conservative reporters off of his airplane. And all of that coming up at 11 o'clock. Armstrong and Getty coming up next. I was talking to a guy came up to me at church.

And I normally have to show up at church about 20 minutes early to get from the lobby to the actual sanctuary. And a guy said, I just want you to know I love those Armstrong and Getty guys. Stan.

So, Stan from Germantown, this one's for you. All right, folks, we've got to scoot out of here. Dilly, good to see you in the wee hours of the morning. Helen is back with us tomorrow. We will see you at 11 o'clock right here on the Mighty 990.

Yeah.
