Well, hello, everybody. This is the Todd Cearns Radio Show. It is Open Line Friday, everybody. And I love this. I love this day of the week.
You never know what's. What's going to happen? You you never know what's uh What's coming your way? Dylan, I'm laughing because I got some hate mail last night from the Newsmax show of all things. I was trying to be somewhat facetious and it didn't come across the way I thought it did.
And so one of the Newsmax viewers thought I was I had I'm not really a conservative. Ah, yeah. And he wrote this really nasty, profane, I don't know, message. to me. And for one thing, he called me a Democrate.
He misspelled Democrat. He had Democrate, and then he called me a spinless prick. And so I replied to the guy and I said, I think you meant to call me a Democrat and a spineless prick.
So I said, you know, be sure if I said, you know, appreciate the mail, but you might want to get some spell check. You know, just. You know, again, if you're going to insult somebody, you want to make sure everything is spelled correctly. Yeah, then it'll just come right back at you. It'll just backfire, honestly.
And so then the guy replies to me: I knew you were a Democrat because all you can do is criticize my spelling. And then I replied again. I said, Oh, you must have used spellcheck. Everything was spelled correctly.
Well done.
So So now you own this guy.
So, pretty much. Yeah, that's pretty much it.
So, anyway, that's how my evening went. Welcome, everybody. Great to have you with us. Open Line Friday. I want you to write down our telephone number.
You will need it if you plan on calling into the program. Today, our telephone number, 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. And we'll be taking your calls here momentarily.
So, yesterday, President Trump. finally decided that Enough was enough, and the president going off. On the social media folks, Tucker Carlson, Megan Kelly. Alex Jones. Who else did he?
I say Candace Owens. Marjorie Taylor Green. Uh these folks have Really, between all of them, I would say probably 10, 15 million followers. And they have turned on President Trump. There's really no polite way to say it.
But they've turned on our president. And it's an ugly thing. And the president finally decided, you know what, enough is enough.
Now, I want to play some of this. This is Mark, this is Megan Kelly. Talking about President Trump. And Megan Kelly is, I mean, her problem right now is she's trying to figure out how to save her audience. And she thinks that now, if she turns on Trump, you know, she'll get her old audience back.
She never liked the guy. She always held a grudge when he was, and that goes all the way back to the Fox debate. When he he said she had blood coming out of her eyes or wherever. Any and she never got over that, never, never recovered from that moment. Cut number two, please.
I mean, I don't know about you, but I am sick of this. I'm just f I'm f I'm sick of it. Can't he just behave like a normal Human. I mean, honestly, like the president, 3ED, GS, shut up. Shut up about that f ⁇ .
You don't threaten to wipe out an entire civilization. We're talking about civilians. just casually in a social media post. You know, like I I am the first. To try to understand Trump and his strategy and to not freak out over his weird social media posts and language that is loose and incendiary.
Truly, I've. Lived with it for 10 plus years. I learned it the hard way when I was on the receiving end of it for nine months. And truly, I think that was a gift to me in many ways because it helped me really come to understand what he does with his social media. But this is completely irresponsible and disgusting.
This is wrong. It's wrong. He should not be doing it. I don't care that it's a negoti his negotiation tactic is to kill an entire country full of civilians, men, women, and children. An American president?
So that the Strait of Hormuz will be opened? It's just wrong. It's not hard to say it. It's not hard to recognize it. I wish he would stop doing this.
Like he can't negotiate Without doing this, what does that say about him? What does that say about the The position that our country is in right now in these negotiations. He's got to say this. He can't Be a dignified, strong leader without threatening a bunch of war crimes. Like, what is he?
Genghis Kong? Like, what is he trying to do? And why can't he do it? with strength Threats? Sure.
Go for it. That don't diminish and demean the United States of America in this way. All right, so that's Begin Kelly going off on Trump. Alex Jones seems to think that Trump is now possessed. by I don't know some sort of a witch or something of that nature.
It's all very strange. And they're all just completely unhinged now on their attacks. And they're not letting up. And I I am wondering if If any of you, oh, he also, this is great. They're calling him the Antichrist.
A Mad King. Who is genocidal? It's just Over the top stuff. And I do wonder if, does this really, do people believe any of this stuff? Are people being convinced?
Are people being swayed by what Tucker Carlson is saying, by what all these others are saying? And I ask that because our friends over at the Washington Stand, they did a big story this morning on. A new survey. This is a Pew Research survey that shows an overwhelming number. of Republican young people Republican young people under the age of 50.
now oppose Israel.
So it seems to me that a lot of this A lot of this rhetoric is starting to have an impact on a large segment. Overall an overwhelming majority of adults in America, of all both political parties, now oppose Israel. Those numbers, I think, are only going to get worse. And a lot of it, I believe, is coming from what this crowd is saying. And what this crowd is doing.
So I'm wondering if this has any sort of an impact on you.
So the president Is responding to all of this. And I thought, you know what? I'll read this, but who's the guy? There's a guy that does a great Trump impression. And he decided to read Trump's statement in his own voice.
And it's pretty epic. Dylan, do we have that?
So, this is the President's response to all of the attacks coming from Alex Jones, Tucker, Megan, all of that crowd. Take a listen. I know why Tucker Carlson, Megan Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones have all been fighting me for years. especially by the fact that they think it is wonderful for Iran the number one state sponsor of terror. to have a nuclear weapon Because they have one thing in common.
Low IQs, they're stupid people. They know it, their families know it, and everyone else knows it too. Look at their past. Look at their record. They don't have what it takes and they never did.
They've all been thrown off of television, lost their shows. and aren't even invited on T V because nobody cares about them. They're nut jobs, troublemakers, and will say anything necessary for some free and cheap publicity.
Now they think they get some clicks. Because they have third-rate podcasts. But nobody's talking about them. and their views are the opposite of MAGA. or I wouldn't have won the Presidential election in a landslide MAGA agrees with me and just gave CNN a 100% approval rating of Trump.
not hand-flailing fools like Tucker Carlson. who couldn't even finish college. He was a broken man when he got fired from Fox. And he's never been the same. Perhaps he should see a good psychiatrist or Megan Kelly, who nastily asked me the now famous Only Rosie O'Donnell question.
Or crazy Candice Owens, who accuses the highly respected First Lady of France. of being a man when she is not and will hopefully win lots of money in the ongoing lawsuit. Actually to me The First Lady of France is a far more beautiful woman than Candace, and In fact, it's not even close. Or bankrupt Alex Jones, who says some of the dumbest things and lost his entire fortune. as he should have, For his horrendous attack on the families of the Sandy Hook shooting victims.
ridiculously claiming it was a hoax. These so-called pundits are losers. And they always will be.
Now fake news, CNN, the failing New York Times and all of the other radical left news organizations are hailing them and giving them positive press for the first time in their lives. They're not MAGA. They're losers. Just trying to latch on to MAGA. As President, I could get them on my side any time I want to.
But when they call, I don't return their calls because I'm too busy on world and country affairs. And after a few times, they go nasty. Just like Marjorie Trader Brown. But I no longer care about that stuff. I only care about doing right for our country.
MAGA is about winning and strength in not allowing Iran to have nuclear weapons. MAGA is about making America great again. And these people have no idea how to do that, but I do. Because the United States is now the hottest country anywhere in the world. President Donald J.
Trump. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Yes, thank you, Mr. President. I thought, look, the President's fired up over all of this stuff.
And the channel, I feel bad for President Trump because he's a good man and he is a loyal man. He will be loyal to you. And sadly, these people, and especially Tucker, have stabbed this man in the back. And I say that about Tucker because he's been invited into the Oval Office. He's been invited into that inner circle.
And he betrayed President Trump, and he did so publicly.
So there's a lot more to this. That's going to be coming out.
However, It's really interesting to see the numbers of conservatives who are actually siding with Tucker and all of the folks from Podcastistan. They are they believe that Trump has betrayed the America First agenda by going to war against Iran, by standing alongside Israel. And there are many others who believe that the United States is being unduly influenced by Israel. I am not one of those people. I don't believe we are, and I don't believe Benjamin Netanyahu is casting some sort of a spell on Donald J.
Trump. But that's just me.
So, look, we're going to be taking your calls today. Open Line Friday. We have some great guests coming up, including Bill Abbott from Great American Media. Joe Messina is going to be here, and Christy Stutzman, a former state rep. She's a great author and composer.
And our good buddy Bob McEwen, a former congressman from Ohio. And he heads up the Council on National Policy.
So, again, our telephone number: 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show. You've said it before. This will only take a second.
Just a quick glance. A fast reply. But on the road, seconds don't wait for you. They decide everything. Who stops?
Who doesn't? Who makes it home? Uh So next time your phone lights up, ask yourself. Is this distraction worth a ticket or even a life? Put the phone away or pay.
to pay for by Netside. All right, welcome back to the Tod Sterns Radio Program.
So, CNN. This is a great, great survey they did. They decided to find out, all right, who are people, you know, who are people really siding with? Are they siding with Donald Trump or are they siding with Tucker Carlson? And here's a look at the survey results they found.
So if it is a choice between the President and Tucker Carlson among these voters, what do they basically say? Yeah, they choose Donald Trump basically every single time. Look at this.
Okay, the exact same poll, this UMass Lowe poll. Look at this.
Net favorables among Republicans. Again, this is Republicans plus Republican-leaning independents. You see Carlson on the right side of your screen at plus seven points. Look at where Donald Trump is at plus 61 points. And this is actually a little bit low for Donald Trump.
In other polls around the same time, he was even higher than this. Again, he is crushing. crushing Tucker Carlson. What is this? This is a 54-point advantage for Donald Trump over Tucker Carlson when it comes to who is more popular among Republican voters.
And of course, this is even just talking about the MACA base, where Donald Trump is running an approval rating somewhere between 97 and 100 percent.
So according to CNN's polling, Tucker Carlson is irrelevant. And I'm beginning to wonder. I know there's always a lot of, you know, it's easy if you're on a social media platform. That actually becomes your reality, your world. And you sort of.
you sort of get sucked in and you you're not able to look big picture. And I do wonder if platforms like X or Facebook or Instagram or even TikTok If those really are reflective of the country at large and the thinking at large of the country. I mean, when you look at X, for example, and even back when it was known as Twitter, the number of these fake bots, these people that are not real, And there are millions and millions of them on X, and many of them are being used to skew public opinion.
So the reality very well may be. That Tucker and Megan and Alex Jones and all these other folks really may not necessarily have as much influence as maybe we think they do. 901-260-5926 is our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926. Let's go to Kentucky.
Pastor John joins us. Pastor John, what's on your mind? Hey, Todd. I just ran some bad dad jokes across your call screener. She'll tell you the punchlines later.
But on the subject of the President and Israel, I sincerely believe that these so-called talking heads are are attacking him because he is signing with Israel. I am going to refer you to this because, Todd, you are a devout Christian and an awesome pastor. I've heard you speak. Uh but um The Abrahamic covenant. Those that bless you, I will bless, and those that curse you, I will curse.
As long as President Trump is siding with Israel, fighting alongside Israel, we will have the victory. And I remember you commented concerning the two week break. I believe what we're doing is we're gearing up some more wreaking some more havoc on Persia or Iran. And so as long as we are siding with Israel in this battle against this terrorist regime, which we've been at war with since nineteen seventy eight, We will have the victory. And all these Talking heads.
the Megan the Megan Kellys, all the Tucker Carlsons, I seriously believe that they are anti Semitic and they are rooting for Israel to lose. That's their problem because what they are doing is they are calling curses upon themselves. but as a nation, as long as we side with Israel, Typically speaking, God will bless us with the victory. And that's all I wanted to say, Todd. Great show.
Love you. Love everybody there. Hope to meet you guys one day. Yeah.
Well, likewise, Pastor John, and thank you for that. And yes, I too believe that. And when you've got people like Tucker coming out and saying, well, Mike Huckabee doesn't know his Bible, or Franklin Graham doesn't know his Bible, these are not real people. These are not serious people. And I think that.
If nothing else, a lot of these podcasters, and I think people are waking up to the fact that they've been perpetrating a fraud on the American people. And the conservative people were good-hearted folks, but gotta tell you, some.
Some conservatives are gullible and they just get sucked right into all of this. But according to that CNN data, it's. Maybe at the end of the day it's really irrelevant. All right, gotta take a break. 901-260-5926.
It is open line Friday. Here's something most people don't know. When Warren Buffett was just 13 years old, he didn't put his money into a savings account. While other kids were earning next to nothing at local banks, Buffett put $114 into a little-known investment. Today, that $114 would be worth over $15 million.
And it wasn't a risky trade, it wasn't even insider knowledge. It was an account that's been around since 1888, and over the last 25 years, it's averaged 29% a year. That's what happens when your money is allowed to compound. Compare that to today's savings accounts, paying less than half a percent, while inflation quietly eats away at your buying power. Buffett understood early: banks are great businesses, just not for savers.
If you'd like to see what some investors call the 29% account, go now to secretaccount29.com. That's secretaccountthenumbers29.com. SecretAccount29.com Hello. You know, Megan Kelly, you got a country. Deschild's Death to America.
They have sleeper cells, suicide bombers all over. They killed thirty thousand of their own people. Because of their leadership and how bad their leadership is. And you're going to give Trump a hard time? If you didn't have Trump derangement syndrome so bad, You and your far-left goons, we wouldn't be in a situation we're in right now.
You nod head? Wow. All right.
Well, that was Mark from Florida, the Villages, America's friendliest hometown, leaving us a shout-out. You say, oh, wow, how can I do that? It's very simple. All you have to do is go to ToddSterns.com and click on our app. You download the app, and when you do, it's free of charge, by the way, doesn't cost you a penny.
You'll be able to leave us a shout-out.
So there you go. Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen. This is the Todd Stearns Radio Show. Our telephone number on this open line Friday, 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926.
Let's go to Asheville, North Carolina, and Jay listening to us on WHKP. Hi, Jay. What's going on? Hey, which one? The the last caller that called in and said in the Um, typically we have to support Israel just It's simply not true.
Also, the New Testament talks about how Christians are the new Israel. Um and the the the modern is really country Is not what Christ intended, it's not what God intended. Um, and it's it's it's I'm not anti-Semitic, I'm anti-Zionist. And the Talmud is littered with stuff that we shouldn't be supporting. Um And I've read it, and it's it's it's appalling and it's horrendous.
So the modern state of Israel And the things that they're involved in, the things that they've done, the history that they have, I simply can't support Zionism. I'm not advocating for. anyone of any faith to be martyred or or or excluded. Um what I'm saying is simply that Christians should do more research. And the who that Jews are currently Um, Ashkenazi comes to mind, um, the Bolsheviks come to mind, uh, and there's a lot of research that needs to be done before somebody just blindly throws their support behind um a pretty, pretty bad thing that we're supporting right now.
So, so, so, what would you say to all of the renowned theologians and pastors, Billy Graham, Franklin Graham, uh, Adrian Rogers, Dr. Charles Stanley, W.A. Christwell, our good friend Dr. Paul Chappell, um, the hundreds of thousands of evangelical Christian pastors who who say that you are wrong? I mean, what is, you know, how do you, how do you respond to their assertion that Genesis 12:3 says, you know, that we have to stand alongside Israel?
Right.
Well, that's Genesis. That's a lot of the Old Testament stuff. I see.
So all the pastors are wrong. I just want to make sure here that Luke and John do call for the support of the new Israel.
So I just want to make sure you're saying that all of these pastors And the major denominations, I know, the Southern Baptist Convention is the largest denomination in America.
So they've got it wrong, too. I'm misled. It's been an opportunity that the Gladys have taken since the 19th Tell us that we have to support them. And that's just It's not really their fault that they don't know any better, it's that they haven't done the appropriate research. I see.
So, every pastor in America hasn't done the research that you have. I just want to make sure I'm understanding this. No, I'm not saying that they all haven't done the research. What I'm saying is perhaps they are misled by others who were told the same thing. I was told the same thing.
I'm a member of the Southern Baptist Convention. I believed it for a long time. And then I did some stuff where I researched the Talmud and I researched what their faith believes. I researched all the things they've been involved with. I researched a lot of this stuff.
I'm taking the last. three or four years to to really Did we lose Jay? I think we may have lost. Oh, we got Jay. We got you back.
Yeah.
So so the things that I've researched over the last three or four years, especially in the Talmud, which is highly, highly held within the Jewish community as being religious texts and things that they should follow. Let me ask you a question here, Jake. Where do the should the Jews be allowed to have a homeland? Ah it's easier. Traditionally, they'd never have been a a a a they've always been a nomadic people.
They've always been really because that's certainly not in the New Testam and the Old Testament that I have. But go go ahead.
So so you're tell so do the Jews deserve a place to live? Uh Earn. They need to earn a place, not be given it. Oh, the same as America was, the same America was earned. We fought for it, we died for it, we bled for it.
It's the same. It's it should be the same with them. What does that mean? What does that mean they've got to earn it? What what do you mean by that?
Well, they need to stand on their own two feet and deal with the problems that we have. What does that mean, though? What do you mean?
So they should fight their so for example, let me ask you this. Do you have a problem? Going back to the founding of our nation, do you have a problem with the fact that the French? actually came alongside and actually helped us defeat the British. The French more trained us than they did help us.
It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. They helped us. You can say train, help, whatever. It doesn't matter.
Without them, there's a pretty good chance we would have not been able to defeat the British.
So, my question to you is this.
So, I understand where you're coming from now. I want to know where specifically are the Jews allowed to live on planet Earth? They well, I mean, we're where the where the Aryans are allowed to live. Where where are the where are the Africans?
Okay, I think we're getting down to I think we're getting down to the gist of it. You don't do you want Jews living in America, Jay? Do you think that's okay for the Jews to live in America? I think it's I'm okay with living around them. I'm not okay with them calling the shots on everything that we do.
internationally or with our policies? You know, those are the talking points of the anti Semites, Jay. And I don't think you're an anti Semite. I I certainly hope you're not. But those are the talking points of anti Semitism.
And that is a disturbing thing. Jay, gotta go. Um and folks Again, that's what it all comes down to. And I will just say this: according to the Family Research Council and the Washington Stand, a majority of Americans believe like Jay does now.
So my question is, where do if the Jews are not allowed to occupy Israel, if they're not allowed to live in their native lands, where are the Jews allowed to live? You see where all of this is leading to, ladies and gentlemen? I think we've been down this path once before in the 1930s and 40s. 901-260-5926, our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926.
Now, there was an interesting conversation that was had last night on the Newsmax show. Melania Trump coming out. And she's had it with the mainstream media. They have treated this woman so horribly. She is incredibly intelligent.
She is beautiful. She is an amazing mom who raised an incredible child. and she has stood by our President through thick and thin. And for that, she has been raked over the coals. These fashion magazines, they'll put.
They'll put I was going to say something that was going to get me in trouble. Michelle Obama, that's the name. Michelle Obama. They're putting Michelle Obama on the cover of all these fashion mags, but they don't seem to believe that Melania Trump is pretty enough to go on the covers of the magazines. They don't believe she has enough fashion sense.
And then, with all of the Epstein stuff, you finally, I think she just had it. And she came out yesterday and had a. Had a conversation with the American people about it.
So, anyway, we invited Christy Stutzman and Wendy Patrick on my radio show yesterday to talk about this. I want you to listen to what they had to say. Christy, to you first, your reaction to the First Lady's announcement. Bravo. I'm so glad that she came out and called it what it is.
You know, as a spouse of a congressman and as a former legislator, it really is maddening when people can just do what they call now a wrap-up smear in campaigns. But we're talking about a spouse here who was involved, who has been involved in these smears, you know, these, she's been a target of these smears for so long, and she's been so gracious and so patient in dealing with it. And a lot of spouses understand exactly what she has gone through, but to be included in that as a spouse of someone who is in elected office, to watch your spouse go through it is one thing. To be a target is another. And I say bravo to the first lady.
You know, Wendy, the first lady calling on Congress to hold a public hearing for the Epstein survivors, I think we have that audio. Let's listen. I call on Congress to provide the women. who have been victimized by Epstein. with a public hearing specifically centred around the survivors.
Give these victims the opportunity to testify under oath. in front of Congress. with the power of sworn testimony.
So, Wendy, this is where I'm like, whoa, wait a second, because President Trump just last September said, you know what, it's time to move on. Said the DOJ had done its job. He said we need to end what he called the Democrat Epstein hoax.
So, how do you interpret what the first lady had to say today?
Well, obviously, it's orchestrated with her husband, but she is not having any of what apparently she's been enduring behind the scenes. You know, we don't always know what she and her lawyers are doing, fighting against these false allegations that there's more to the story. She's basically saying she's not guilty by association. They were within overlapping social circles in New York and in Palm Beach. That's exactly what she said.
And I have to say, Todd, you used the word defiant. That's exactly the word I used as well. You know, we say actions speak louder than words. Body language often speaks the loudest. And she was not happy having to come out there and make the speech that she did because she's not one to be calling.
Press conferences, but this was important. And she gave a shout out to all those brave victims who we've seen in the audience, in the background, every time there's been a televised hearing in Congress. She wants to bring them into the foreground and give them the opportunity they didn't have, given that there was no trial after Jeffrey Epstein killed himself, the opportunity to get that closure that they deserve. That's what this hearing was about. And you know, Christy, again, when you look at what Melania Trump has had to go through, and just the, it's just beyond mean, especially the magazines where they've ignored her, they've given her the cold shoulder.
I mean, you know, in addition to being an incredibly brilliant First Lady who speaks multiple languages, you know, she also looks pretty good and she ought to be on the cover of some of those magazines. She has been so gracious and so long-suffering. She set a great example for so many people. But I tell you what, at a certain point, it is time to speak out. And I think she decided, and I, you know, I wasn't part of those conversations behind the scenes, but I do know what it feels like.
And I tell you what, it's very, it's a big deal to have to decide, okay, we are going to speak out finally about these lies that are just beyond the pale. And so I'm really glad to see that she did this. It needed to be done and she stood up for the victims. And I'm just so glad that she spoke out because it's something that needed to be done for a long time. And she's been very gracious for a long time about it.
Now, Wendy, I know in the South, the ladies have a saying, bless your heart, which is, I think, what Melania said in Mar-a-Longo language. But also another line, when the southern ladies say, the hair goes up and the hoops come off, you better watch out. And I think the legacy media better watch out because the first lady is fired up. Oh, she is, Todd. And remember what she said.
She said, these rumors stop today. You know, one thing that really distinguishes the Melania we saw as first lady during the first term and this term is she has really come into her own. You know, we saw a little bit in the movie that came out called Melania. But we didn't need to see that movie to notice the difference in her. It's characterized and really beautifully depicted in that portrait that was taken for the new for the second term, where she was wearing that business suit.
It was even encapsulated in the outfit she chose for the inauguration. I mean, she is a different first lady this time around, and that was on full display at the White House during this speech. She is not taking it anymore, and she is speaking out for so many women that are put in a position they choose not to be in simply by association, whether it's through her own or whether it's through somebody that her husband used to know back in the day, or I shouldn't even say used to know, used to be present in the same location as. That's what we saw in her speech. Here's something most people don't know: when Warren Buffett was just 13 years old, he didn't put his money into a savings account.
While other kids were earning next to nothing at local banks, Buffett put $114 into a little-known investment. Today, that $114 would be worth over $15 million. All right, let's get right back to the phones on this Open Line Friday. Germantown, Tennessee, Murph listening to us on the great KWAM. Hi, Murph. What's on your minds? Dr.
Starnes, always a pleasure. I was just curious about the previous caller. And his observations about the quote-unquote new Israel.
Now, he and I, or the three of us, may have some different biblical views. But isn't the new Israel more metaphorical and spiritual than physical? And he also mentioned Zionism and Zion Zionism is a is national is like nationalism. And I can't recall anywhere in world history where people of the Jewish faith. made war on people of the Islamic faith.
And as Premier Golden Maeera once said, If the Palestinians and Hamas and all these other groups would put down their weapons. We would have peace Because Allah commands Members of the Islamic faith To kill and make prisoner the unbeliever. And I'm not sure. You know, this guy may this gentleman may have had some legitimate points. But As far as it us not supporting the nation of Israel Um I ju I can't see it because they're Their train of thought and their philosophy is Judeo-Christian.
And That is the bedrock and the foundation of Republican self-government. Whereas Islam, on the other hand, is a theocracy And there are no questions. You do what Allah and Muhammad, His Prophet. Tell you to do. With no questions asked, and you receive glory in heaven when you blow yourself up in a crowd of two hundred people.
So I'm He had some interesting points. But um I it just doesn't doesn't jive. And the Israelis, from a political and historical standpoint, That stood right next to the United States of America for years.
Well, they have, Murph. But and I think as we continue the conversation, it just I got the impression that he did not believe That there should be a nation of Israel. And the question, even further, you know, just the QA, where would you suggest Jews live? I don't think we got a clear answer to that. But again, this is sort of the this is this is the mindset of the younger generation here that's coming up.
And I'm telling you, by the time 2028 rolls around, I think that is going to be a major campaign issue, whether or not the candidate supports Israel or not. Yes, sir. And in nineteen forty eight, the Israelis did not the Jewish people the people of Jewish faith did not just walk into that part of the world and say we're taking over. The world gave that land to them. After what happened in Germany and Eastern Europe, The world gave that.
That was a United Nations decision. It wasn't just a group of Israelis walking in with tanks and guns saying with Get out. And for that matter, the Palestinian group in Gaza and the West Bank Have wandered that desert for three or four thousand years. And if the Jordanians And the Arabians had accepted those people as citizenry, none of this would have taken place. Um this has all been going on since You know, 5,000 years ago, they've been fighting.
It's all tribal warfare. You're absolutely right. Merv, I gotta run, my friend. We are coming upon the top of the hour. Our telephone number here, folks, 901-260-5926.
Hang tight. Hour two of the big show coming up. We'll be right back, America. Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's common sense conservative commentary from Todd Starr. Bye.
I love. Love is American.
Well, hello, everybody. Welcome to hour two of the big show. It is open line Friday. Whatever you want to talk about, you can call in and talk about today. Our number, 901-260-5926.
That's 901-260-5926. Great to have all of you with us today. By the way, I want to encourage you: if you haven't already done so, pre-order a copy of my brand new book. It'll be out at the end of May. But we're already doing the pre-orders and the advanced sales.
And I want you to get a copy of this book, and I want you to read this book. As a matter of fact, Congressman Jim Jordan just announced that he has endorsed the book project. Already President Trump on board. House Speaker Mike Johnson, Senator Marsha Blackburn, Congressman Ron Estes, Congressman David Kostov. We have a long list of folks that have written endorsements for the book project, and it is a great honor.
And I want you to read this book. And you say, well, Todd, what is the book about? It's called The Golden Age: How Trump Saved America. And in the book, I explain, well, how Trump Saved America. But there's also a large swath of the book which takes a look forward.
What does it look like in 2028? And what do we need to be doing as Americans to take up the mantle from President Trump and carry that mantle into the next generation? I'm talking about the America First Movement. And I will say this: I don't, look again, I'm still very encouraged by the midterm elections. The Democrats are in a tailspin.
Republicans just have to get their act together. And if they can get their act together, if they can do something very simple, like for example, Pass the, you know, I don't know, pass the Save America Act. then things are going to work out incredibly well for the Republicans. If they don't, well, it could get a little dicey. But I have hope for America.
But when you look beyond President Trump, you start looking at 2028, there is going to be a conversation in this country about what it means to be a Democrat and what it means to be a Republican. And to be a Democrat. Will will mean that you embrace Significant components of the communist agenda. And at least that ideology. We're watching that sort of unfold in real time right now in New York City, and we'll get to that in just a few moments.
You know, the other part of this is the Republican Party. What does it mean to be a Republican? We went through some of the surveys when it comes to support, which is waning among younger Republicans for the Nation of Israel. There has been a lot of softening on the culture war issues that have really defined who Republicans are.
So I write about all of this in the book, and it's a fun read, but it's an important read as well. And again, you can pre-order it at Barnes Noble, Books a Million. You can go to Amazon, wherever you buy your books, you'll be able to pre-order a copy. We'll be doing a big nationwide book tour and all that kind of stuff coming up, and we'll tell you more about that as May comes upon us. But again, the golden age: How Trump Saved America.
Get yourself a copy today.
Well, there's a big event coming up, and I'm really excited about this. Our friends at Great American Media have just announced. A huge initiative today. It's called America Sings. the anthem.
And I can't think of a better person to talk about this than the President and the CEO of our of Great American Media, our good friend Bill Abbott. Bill, hope you're doing well today. Hi, Todd. Great to be with you. Bill, a couple of things we've been looking at, and we just had a few days ago, we had Bunny Pounds on to talk about the scripture reading that's going to be taking place that's coming up April 18th at the Museum of the Bible.
And I want to, that's our kicking off point here. How important is it for the museum? For that scripture reading to take place in our nation's capital. What's the symbolism there?
Well, Todd, as you just said so well and as your book really outlines, the reality of the definition of how people define themselves and it goes even beyond, I think, Republican and Democrat. What does it mean to be an American? What does it mean to believe in the Constitution? What does it mean to believe in the Founding Fathers? What does it mean when the Declaration of Independence was declared?
And all of that was done within a very faith-based Christian nation. Where Christianity was the founding, one of the, I mean, really, the principle on which the nation. Uh came together. And so that is our roots, that's our history, leading into America two hundred fifty, having the ability to have in Washington DC a reading of the Bible cover to cover with all walks of life, people from that are that are uh famous all the way uh to people who you know just are interested in uh in in having The Bible have This type of level of awareness around the country and the founding of the country and celebrating it. And all it stands for.
And one of the exciting things, for me, it's always an encouragement. I remember when I was a kid, and I grew up in the church, and we attended a small Baptist church when I was growing up. And whenever I heard that, you know, maybe my favorite athlete or a celebrity was a Christian and they were mentioning God or quoting from the Bible, that always just sort of perked my ears. And that's why I'm excited that you have a lot of very well-known, I would say, celebrities that are going to actually be reading passages of the Bible. No question.
And they'll be members of Congress uh the president as well and the Speaker of the House. These are people who have a deep feeling of faith and sense of faith and are very much committed to their religion. And you see this great revival happening around the country. at uh universities and Ohio State and and uh you know the quarterback who who is so terrific from Indiana. It happens it's happening more and more frequently, and we certainly embrace that in a big way.
I I think that's true.
So the President of the United States is going to be reading Yes, as a matter of fact, he will.
Well, this is exciting. I think this is breaking news here on the Todd Stearns Radio Show. Of course, he had his mother's Bible, and they used to want to attend the Norman Vincent Peale's church there, but it was a collegiate church there in New York City.
So that's exciting. For sure. For sure. Here with us, Bill Abbott from Great American Media. And Bill, another thing, you guys are just, I mean, you're churning out stuff here.
It's hard to keep up with you guys. But you got to tell us about America Sings the Anthem. We are so excited about this because again, Todd, you said it so well. What does it mean to really be a patriot? What does it mean to be an American?
What does it mean to be have the freedoms we have in this country? And so much of it has been thrown away by the liberal media and the elitists uh uh parts of the country And the national anthem is one of those things. You know, you don't see it a lot before the game. They'll cut to commercial. You certainly don't see it on T V in the morning the way it used to begin or end the broadcast day.
back when I was growing up anyway. And so we have brought that back.
So at six AM every morning, we begin the broadcast day with the national anthem. And beginning on july fourth, we are going to utilize viewers who perform the anthem in their own way, in a special way, and we put we'll put that on the air. To celebrate their patriotism and the overall spirit. in which uh the Star Spangled banner was written. I'm just such a huge fan of this.
When I moved back home to Memphis and I bought the news radio station K-Wham, I knew we had to do two things.
So, first of all, Bill, in the mornings, we have regular citizens reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, and we do that every Saturday. That should be next for us. I love that. I'll let you steal that idea, Bill. But then at noon every day, instead of doing the top of the hour national news, at noon every day, we have a wonderful school here.
They've been on America's, got talent. They have this great a cappella group, and they recorded an a cappella rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. And we invite the entire city of Memphis to stop what they're doing at noon, put their hands over their hearts, and just sing along with the national anthem.
So I'm just a huge fan of what you guys are doing here.
Well, that is wonderful. And I will tell you, we were at Uh College of the Ozarks. That's three months ago. And uh they said the Pledge of Allegiance, and it struck me How I have not heard that probably in ten to twenty years. I can remember the last time I heard the Pledge of Allegiance.
And it's really it's it's it's disgusting. The way traditions have just been thrown aside. And you know, I mean, quite frankly, it's been engineered, as we know, by the Marxist left. Who is looking to take religion out of our country? And certainly they're looking to take loyalty and patriotism out of our country, too.
So if if somebody wants to and the way I understand this, uh people will make their submissions and if they're selected, uh people will be able to actually watch themselves performing the national anthem on Great American Family. Yes, so we will have a couple of different ways in which we'll do that. We will have some video and we will also right now we currently have the flag And when we play the anthem, the flag is just waving in on a flagpole. We have not yet ironed out the logistics of getting people on air in terms of what they send in. It could be challenging from a quality control point of view, but certainly, we'll hear all of the renditions that are chosen to be a part of this great event.
People do it every day for a long time. I love this.
So, how can people make that submission bill? Oh, they just have to go to pureflix.com. and they will see a way to It's very easy. Just load it into a form that we have online and they can Submit their rendition and hopefully get chosen. I love this.
Pureflakes.com, and we'll be promoting this on our show multiple times. But what a great thing you guys are doing. And I love that. And it is a question I think we all need to consider. You know, what does it mean to be an American?
And I'm glad that you guys are advancing that cause as well.
Well, thank you. Our whole business is built on the pillars of faith, family and country. And so we will always be there and never betray those critical elements of our lives. All right, ladies and gentlemen, Bill Abbott, President and CEO of Great American Media. And head over to PureFlix.com, PureFlix.com, and you'll find all the information about the America Sings the Anthem project.
Bill, hope you have a great weekend. Look forward to seeing you guys in D.C. Likewise, Todd, thank you. All right.
Good man, right there, ladies and gentlemen. And what a great project.
So Dylan, are you going to enter the contest? It's tempting. I want to. You know, I'm trying to think. We should like do, we should really enter the KWAM, you know, the group that sings it on the radio station.
Yeah, we should. They're pretty incredible. They're really good. And they're just like kids. Yeah, they're high schoolers.
Just unbelievable. Unbelievable.
So, again, if you're a singer or maybe you have a choir. Maybe not the Mayberry Choir. Remember, that was a great episode. Andy Griffiths.
So if you have a choir, or maybe you're a soloist, or I don't know, maybe you could like. Maybe a trumpet player, I guess. I mean, Dylan, that's your instrument, right? Yeah, you're making it sound more and more tempting for me. I may as well just go ahead and throw my name in the hat.
I love it.
Sounds like something I could do. I love this.
What about a maremba? Yeah.
That's an instrument? I don't know. You can't be as expressive on a marimba, though. They used to call them mouth organs, but I think they're called a mouth heart now. They're like, don't ever call it that again.
But, like, we could do like a bluegrass version, you know. I mean, I, yeah, this could really be fun. Possibilities are endless. You're absolutely right. All right.
Oh, we've got to speak of endless, we've got to wrap up this segment. 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. If you're following us or watching us on our YouTube channel, we're going to post a link to the Pureflix organization. You'll be able to go directly to all that intel.

Dylan, you know what's happening tonight? The Artemis II is coming back and you're nervous about it. I'm slightly nervous, but mostly confident. Why are you nervous? What talk to me?
This is a great American moment. Yeah, it is very cool. Overall, it's a cool moment, but I have maybe by accident Found myself on doom scrolling disaster space shuttle TikTok. No, no, you have not been doing that. It's an accident.
I didn't do this. It's just because it's in the algorithm and it has shown me, you know, it showed me the Challenger yesterday. And then yesterday evening, as I kept scrolling, it showed me the Columba the Columbia, or no, Columbus. Columbia. Columbia.
Yeah.
So. Those two things didn't turn out well. And it scared me a little bit.
So you're concerned that Artemis II may it uh it may not make it back? I'm nervous about the potential problems.
Now, so those videos and those moments that happened in American history have. you know They've now prevented a lot of those things from happening again. We learned from those. Unfortunately, that happened and we learned from them. You know, you never know.
It could be perfect. It could be not perfect. I'm hoping it's perfect.
Well, I think it's going to be fine. I mean, the technology is far advanced. And the amount of safety now that they just did not have back in when the space shuttle Challenger blew up, that was crazy. I remember, I mean, just about every child. In America, every classroom was watching that live because Kristen McAuliffe, who was the first teacher to go up into space, so everybody was so excited about it, and it was a massive audience.
And if you can imagine, I don't if you guys remember that in your classroom, that they rolled in from the audiovisual guys, rolled in the TVs. And we watched it and I mean, the horror of those poor kids having to watch what was happening there, you know, when Go for throttle or something, and then boom, you know, there went the space shuttle. I think the internet just wants to scare me. I think it's going to be fine. But, you know, the internet's against me right now.
Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it. They're going to be splashing down, by the way. In the Pacific Ocean, right off the coast of San Diego, so, or San Diego. And we all know what that stands for. We'll be right back to real.
You remember what you were doing when. The challenger went up. We'll be right back.
Well, we're just taking it easy on this Friday afternoon, driving down the highway. Hello, everybody. Welcome back to the Todd Stern Show. That highway taking us all the way to Southern California, Santa Clarita, to be exact. Our good buddy.
Just I was going to say Joe from Ella J. No, that's one of our callers. Joe Messina joined us today. Joe, how are you? Hey, when you think about going down the highway with Joe Messina, do you kind of shudder a little bit from the last ride we had?
Holy cow, that Jaguar. You know, you haven't you not you have not lived life until you've ridden with Joe Messina in downtown LA. Hey, you got to get where you got to get, you know? It's, yeah, no, my friend. Absolutely.
Hope you're doing good, Messina. Everything, life treating you well. Yeah.
Everything looks good here, and they're finally starting to crack the shell. I don't know how far it's going to go with all the scandals going on with. With our buddy Gavin Newscomb. And you're just gonna, I think you're gonna see a little bit more break, but. Local news sources are really not hitting this thing hard.
Wow. By the way, what's up with the crazy wife of his? She's nuts. You mean the no, no, wait a minute. You mean the first partner?
Right.
So they're not married. I don't know what she calls herself the first partner. And you know that she was the wife of his last. Campaign manager, right? I mean, he has a type.
Wow. So they're living in sin. I don't know, but she does. He never said my wife, the first partner. He always introduces her as the first partner.
Wow. So, yeah, but she's always been like this, Todd. She's been making, she's been making, what do you want to call them, documentaries, or she's been making these films for schools that just wrote, to just encompass the non-family unit. They just encompass kids being anything they want to be and having a right to express themselves any way they want to.
So, this is really nothing new for some of us here that have been following this. Is it true that she killed her sister? Yeah.
Yeah.
Well Well She says she did. And if she didn't, what was she looking for? She was looking for sympathy or maybe even empathy from the inmates she was speaking to. It was. Everybody, even some of my Democrat friends, were scratching their heads going, What is she doing?
What is she trying to do?
So apparently, they were in a freak golf carting accident, and one of the sisters got killed, and she's conveying this story. I guess she was trying to connect with the criminals that she was speaking to. And if I'm a criminal, I'm not feeling empathy. I'm like, well, wait a second. How come you're not in here?
Yeah.
Oh, yeah, but hers was an accident.
Okay. And and I realize that every criminal in jail will tell you that, you know, they're not guilty. But hers was an accident. And she was going to empathize with them as how bad she felt. Wow.
Joe, we got to talk about this governor's race.
So look, I A lot of folks are out there saying Trump may have made a strategic mistake here by endorsing Steve Hilton. Not that there's anything wrong with Steve Hilton, but the concern now is that is it Blanco, Bianco, the sheriff in Riverside County? Bianco, that guy is now what, dropping into third place. And I think a lot of people are wishing the president had not endorsed because up until that point, the top two vote-getters, or at least in the polls, would have been two Republicans. Yeah, don't you find it interesting, though, also?
And I agree with you, I think Trump made a mistake. I think that sometimes when he does this stuff, I scratch my head and go, okay, shh, you don't have to say it. And I agree with you. I think he made a mistake here. Swalwell is moving up.
I call him Swaller. See, he keeps moving up the list. You call him swallow? I call him Swaller. Representative Swaller.
If you know the guy, you'll know I'm right. Oh, my God. Katie Porter and uh, what is his name? Ver Ragu. He's going, uh, both of them are going out.
Well, you know, his last name is a mix of his ex-wife's last name and his name. That's the only Mexican name I can figure out, Villa Regosa. Wow. Be a regu in my book. But anyway, those two are pounding on Swalwell big time, and they're hoping to move up.
And they're hoping that Swaller gets indicted or something with these women that are coming forward. Wow. That's so, I mean, is that really the I mean, I mean, Via Regoso, or I'm sorry, what'd you call him again? Via Ragu. Yeah, Via Ragu is saying that Swaller should step aside because of all of the whatever's about to happen.
So it's we're getting some Democrat on Democrat violence now in California. Oh, it's great 'cause they never they never like each other. I don't know if you've noticed that here in California.
So to watch them start to gang up on on him is great. And but I don't want Porter either. I don't want Katie Porter anywhere near this ticket. Yeah, she's she's a handsome woman. That one uh Yeah, it's Katie Porter House, is what we call her here in Tennessee.
Yeah, with the language of a dock worker. Wow, boy, you're not getting the mouth on that woman. Jeez, a Lou.
So you've got Hilton, who's what, polling at 22, 23%. I mean, he seems to really be connecting with people. What's he doing right over there? You know what? I've seen them at a couple of events and I It doesn't appeal to me, but he's like a cheerleader when he comes on stage.
And he talks about the things with solutions, not just the things that are bad, but how he plans on fixing them. And then what he's done is he's surrounded himself with a team of people. that are also running, you know, lieutenant governor and attorney general and all that. that he's gotten behind. And so it's I think it's a team effort.
I think people are seeing that he wants to make changes. He's got answers to make changes. And he's not a hardcore well, up until recently, they didn't see him as a hardcore MAGA guy.
Well, and again, I think that's where the rub is. Is this going to hurt Steve Hilton? You've got Chad Bianco, who's really hurting himself, I think, because of his positions on Amnesty. He's soft on deportations.
So I don't know. How do you think this plays out? Who do you think the top two are going to be?
Well, you know, Hilton's going to be among the top. And one thing that Hilton's doing that I really don't like. I'm getting nothing but negative mail in the mailbox. We still have those. I'm getting negative mail in the mailbox from the Hilton team against Bianco.
And it's like, don't feed the other side. Don't give them the ammunition they need to put him down. But I don't know how far Bianco has fallen yet or how sure it is. I think if Swaller falls out, I think Bianco moves up. All right, Joe Messina joining us on our Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line.
And if you want to see what Joe looks like, you can actually go to our YouTube channel and you can see Joe live. And you're a handsome man. I mean, it's not, you know, a lot of people have the face for radio, but I think you can do TV, my friend. Oh, no, no, no, please. You know, I love the early days I did this, like 16 years ago, and you were around then too, where I could just walk in and my hair was all over the place.
And if I didn't shave that morning, it wasn't a big deal because nobody could see me. And then those stupid webcams came in. I interviewed Arnold Schwarzenegger in a bathrobe. Once. Yeah.
I can see that. Cigar? Not in person, but yeah. No, you know, I did get an invite to the cigar tent, though. That was one of the highlights of my journalism career.
You know, being involved with Republicans for years, and when he was governor, the Republican guys used to tell me they would have to put name tags on because after all those years, he didn't know any of their names, not a one Republican name. He called me Tood. Tood. Hello to Wood.
So By the way, before we let you go, we've got to talk about Artemis II, and it's going to be splashing down off the Southern California coast near San Diego, I call it San Diego, San Diego. A lot of excitement over there, Joe, about Artemis II. I understand people are actually already starting to find a spot on the beach. Oh, yeah. I mean, it's amazing how this has stirred people up again as to getting excited about what's going on and them coming back.
It was funny. I talked about it with another close friend of mine this morning that's a conservative, and he just said, I'm so glad we're spending money to do this again. I'm so glad. It's something we can all wrap around, right? Democrat, Republican, Independent.
The rent is too damn high, party. Whatever it is, we could all kind of wrap our arms around this. No, I think you're right. And it does give us a sense of pride in America. And it harkens back to the early days when we first went to the moon and just how it was, the entire country was united together.
And this has been a truly remarkable, remarkable thing. Hey, Joe, I want to, or I'm sorry, Joe, I want to go to the phones. We've got Josh. In Lula, Georgia, listening to us on WDUN. Wanting to talk about the astronauts.
Hi, Josh. You're over the air with me and Joe Messina. This is awesome. What a blessing this is. Hey, yes, sir.
My question is, all right, I'm pretty old. I've seen these spaceship go up since I was a kid. All right.
When they went up there with this spaceship, You know, they got to the moon. Right.
There was three guys. Two guys got off the ship and they went to the moon. One guy stayed on the spaceship, is that right? You're talking about the original, the original thing back in in the 70s. Yeah, I think that's Joe, I think that's right, right, Joe?
That is correct. Yeah.
Okay. Yeah.
Okay. All right.
What did that guy do in that spaceship that whole time? Did it just set up there in space or did it go all the way around the moon?
Well, it was asynchronous, wasn't it? They they just sat there above where the lun uh lunar lander was, didn't it? Yeah.
these these guys went they went in this special spaceship. It was it looked funky down there on on the on the moon. All right.
They even had a a car down there where two of them ride around in it.
Okay. Then they would come back and hook and that man would be up there They'd come back and hook to that spaceship. and they'll they would take off. and then they will blow that thing back to the moon. That's how they heard that it it sounded like a bell ringing one time, you know, they was wondering if it was hollow.
If that guy that was in that spaceship I remember back then they told that he he was up at the moon. the whole time. They were down there. that when they got ready to come up They would, you know, they would come up and hook to the ship.
Okay. All right, so then if it went around the moon, What's your question? My question is. These guys are saying that this is the first time anybody has seen the backside of the moon. Yes, I have yeah, there is a little bit of controversy over whether or not this is the first time, because that's the way it has been announced, but I I have no earthly idea.
You see what I did there, Joe Messina? No earthquake. Yeah, that was that was pretty good. You did a little drum thing, boom, boom, sh.
So it but no, you know what? It I don't know. I don't know if they actually rotated around. I I had always thought that they were That they were in line with the lunar lander, and that thing looked like a metal spider, didn't it? I mean, just amazing.
And and you know what, my understanding too is they were a lot cramped back then than they are now. They have a little bit more space to move around now in the capsule. Fair enough. All right.
Well, very cool. Are you going to be down there, Joe? Are you going to be uh mar marking out a spot on the beach? They have these things now, Scott, Todd. They're called T Vs.
And you know, monitors watch it from afar. Yes, I've heard of them. It's and gas is six bucks a gallon, so I'm not going to wait for it. Sweet mercy, that's insane. All right.
Well, Joe Messina, always good to hear from you. JoeMessina.com, ladies and gentlemen, if you want to follow what Joe's up to, Joe, always good to see you, my friend. Thank you, Todd. And God bless. Thanks for what you're doing.

You know, Dylan, there are a lot of folks out there that think that we haven't even been to the moon. They think it was all fake, that there was never a moon landing. that it was all done in some like Hollywood back lot. Yeah, I've I've heard those people talk before. Oh, by the way, have you seen the uh their moon deniers?
I don't know what they call them. Right.
Yeah, the thing at night that you see. Have you seen no have you seen the latest video there?
So they went to the back side of the moon. Have you seen it? It was like, what's that? There's a critter. There's somebody.
And there's like a video of like this thing moving, like running on the moon. I have not seen that, but what I have seen is: you know, the internet is just corrupted right now. I saw a picture of the backside of the moon, but it was just the moon's butt. It was a crack, right? There was a crack in the backside of the moon.
Yeah.
Who would have known? That's what's back there. You got to be careful because it apparently emits something every couple of days, I don't know, at least once or twice a day. It's like this. Yeah.
It looks like dust. Poof.
Okay. It looks like dust, ladies and gentlemen.
Well, it does look. You don't want the moon clogged up. You really don't. I mean, that's not good for us here on planet Earth. Uh let's go to Russell in South Carolina.
Russell, hello. What's on your mind today? Yes. Hey, I wanted to get your thought on the report. from injured soldiers in Kuwait.
who say that Trump and Heg Seth are lying. that the injuries were a lot worse and they were not properly protected. and also the fact that the Russians are helping the Iranians Kill Americans, yet Donny still seems to be in love with Putin. Why is that?
Well, I mean, you would have to. I don't know anything about the president's personal life, so you would have to take that up with the president. There is a report out of the New Republic that alleges what you're saying, but that has not been picked up in any of the mainstream media outlets. And quite frankly, all. All of these reports typically turn out not to be true.
So I'm going to wait and we'll get the intel. And if it turns out to be true, we'll be happy to report it. But if it doesn't, well, we're going to call it out for being fake. For example, There was a report out this week that the Pentagon reamed out the Vatican representatives, and now you've got both the Vatican and the Pentagon saying that was absolutely false and did not happen.
So, Russell, to that point, there's a lot of fake news out there, and you just got to be careful where you get your news and information. The good news for you, Russell, is that you are listening to the Todd Stearns radio program. We are not going to steer you wrong. And we're going to make sure that. that you get the right information.
Fair and balanced. Russell, thanks for the call. Let's go to James in Arkansas. James, what's on your mind? Hey, Todd, thanks for taking my call.
Uh, you know, I hung on for a while because I really wanted to address the guy that was uh calling in earlier, you know, that that. basically talked a whole lot of anti-Semitism. You know, um If you look in the Bible, and I'm talking about the New Testament. you know, a a a woman was crying after Jesus And his disciples said, Send her away, send her away. And Jesus answered, I was only sent to the lost sheep of Israel.
That's what Jesus said. I was sent to the lost sheep of Israel.
So how how does he justify what he's saying? That that um That the Jews, that God's changed and he ain't for the Jews anymore. I wonder how he justifies that by reading this in the New Testament, by the way. Yeah, James, look, it's a great question, and that's what this is: it's anti-Semitism. And this is a big problem in the country, and we've got to get a handle on it.
And I think a lot of this can actually start in the church house with pastors actually preaching the word of God. Instead of self-help sermons. That's where this education needs to happen. James, I got to run. Folks, hour three of the big show coming up next.
We'll be right back, everybody. Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's America's conservative blowtorch. That's us, that's us. Right.
Yeah.
I love it.
Love is American.
Time. Stars. All right.
Hello, everybody. Welcome to hour three of the big show. Great to have you with us today. We have a jam-packed lineup tonight, by the way, coming up on Newsmax on the Todd Stern Show. Congressman Randy Fine is going to join us.
Also, Congressman Russell Frying from South Carolina. And we're going to be talking to a former NASA astronaut. And an incredible author. His name is Homer Hickam. And you might remember him from the movie October Sky, which is based on the book he wrote called Rocket Boy.
So that's going to be a fun conversation as we await the return of Artemis 2. And we're also excited to welcome Angie Wong and Kyle Campbell. She hosts the Politically Basic podcast.
So, anyway, great lineup tonight, 5 o'clock Eastern on the Todd Stern Show.
So, there is something very exciting happening in the world of musical theater. And for those of you that love the Revolutionary War period and you love American history, you're going to love what this musical is all about. It's called Ring of Spies. That's ringofspies.com. If you want to check out the website, we'll post a link to it in our YouTube channel.
But I want to go to the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line right now and say hello to the author and composer behind this great production, as well as a former state representative, Christy Stutzman. Christy, hope you're doing well today. Yes, doing very well. Great to be with you, Todd. You know, I want to get to the musical in just a minute.
We had so much fun with you yesterday on the Newsmax show. I wanted to bring you back for the radio program. Because our First Lady is under attack, and I know you had a lot of stuff to say about the attacks that are being directed at Melania Trump. Oh my goodness. Yeah.
And they haven't stopped ever since they came down the escalator. And she has been so gracious, long-suffering, just a picture of class. She's represented us well on the world stage better than I can ever remember with all the things that she has done and been involved with. And she's really had to go through unbelievable scrutiny and court cases and attacks. And the fact that she finally came out and called out the lies that are being spread was just So good to see.
It was so encouraging to my heart because it really is, you know, my grandma. My grandma used to say, tell the truth and shame the devil. And I think that's exactly what she did yesterday. I love that saying. And I think you're right.
And I'm glad that she finally stood up and said, all right, enough is enough. But look, this is the way the media has treated conservative women, Republican women, going all the way back to even before, I think, Sarah Palam. But it really got ugly once Sarah Palam was picked as John McCain's running mate. Oh, it's just brutal. The contrast is really stark because they kind of circle the wagons on the other side, but then, man, when a woman who is conservative.
you know, gets into any type of public service. And she's not even an elected official, but she has been under attack, and it really is unfair. But I was glad to see her really kind of like, you know, push back because she has gone through an FBI investigation into her home, into her private bedroom, going through her closets and her drawers. It's just so completely against everything that America has always stood for.
So I'm glad she's finally coming out and just calling it what it is. Christy, as you look, as we look towards the midterm elections, and there just seems to be a lot of noise right now, and there's always a lot of noise in politics, but especially within the Republican world, and I don't know if we're having something of an identity crisis as Republicans, but it certainly appears as though the party is in the throes of some sort of a shift. Do we embrace the values that have won the Republicans' elections, or do we become more of a populist-style party? Yeah, it is. There's a big discussion going on in the party right now, and it's important that we all are sitting at the table and sharing our views and making sure that they're heard, whether it's in the halls of Congress or in our state legislatures or county councils.
You know, and I talk about that in my book, too, The Spiritual Price of Political Silence, how the power is in we the people. And we really need to, you know, if you're a Republican, I think it's really important that you talk to your representatives, but you also express your opinions. But man, there is like this existential crisis right now. But, you know, when you look at the Republican Party, we do have a deep bench, and there's a lot of great candidates coming up through. And there's, I, you know, there's real good leadership going on as well in the House.
And we're seeing it on the national stage within the Trump administration. There's some really strong leaders.
So I think that's going to emerge. And I think the American people are going to make the right decision. And especially in the Republican side, the Republicans always tend to kind of like, you know, get it right in the end. But it just takes us a while to get there. Christy Stutzman joining us, former state representative.
She is an author and composer. And of course, Christy, we love having your husband, Congressman Marlon Stutzman, on the program. He always does a great job. But I want to talk about this incredible musical that you've created. It's called Washington's Ring of Spies: a Musical Revolution.
Tell us about the show.
Well, talking about we the people, this story is exactly that. It celebrates what we the people did during the revolution. And it really is the unsung heroes that you don't read about in your history books because these people volunteered. Most of them were civilians, not much training. They outspied the British.
And then at the end, they didn't tell anybody it was them. They had an opportunity to actually tell General Washington when he came through on his thank you tour. And not one of them walked up to him and said, sir, it was me. And these people actually helped to save the revolution, to create the country, because they were behind the scenes, like revealing plots by the British, whether it was saving the French fleet, saving the economy from this counterfeit currency that they were going to infiltrate into our currency, or saving West Point, revealing the plot of Benedict Arnold. They did so many things.
They're incredible. And yet they just walked away. And for 200 years, we have not known who they were because they didn't tell anybody, not their kids, not their grandkids. And because of this. Yeah.
Now, the guy who was like really obsessed with this story for a long time, we actually have documentation, handwriting experts have proven these things. We're still discovering who some of these people were. But Washington's Ring of Spies is going to be a Broadway-style musical. And what we're trying to do is speak into the culture and push back and give an alternative to some of the woke stuff coming out of Broadway and actually compete in that marketplace with the best of the best and present this educational historic preservation type of musical, but in a fun way. There's a lot of intrigue and a lot of twists and turns in the story.
And these characters are totally relatable. We're talking like a farmer, a whale boat captain, a tavern owner, an innkeeper. I mean, this is us. This is America and Microcosm. And it's just a beautiful picture of America.
And this is going to take the stage, what, curtains open in September. Is that right? Right, September in Branson, Missouri at the Freedom Encounter Theater. And we're busy right now raising funds for it. And we're writing the music.
We're working with people in Nashville. And we're just kind of rolling ahead with it. But it's exciting. We're getting a lot of inquiries from people who want to help. And if you want to help, go to ringofspies.com.
There's all kinds of information there. The tickets are for sale there. But we're also getting people saying, hey, you know what? I'm in that industry and I'm tired of all the woke stuff. Can I work with you?
So I think there's a real opportunity here to kind of speak into the culture. And if you heard of the musical 1776, you know, that's been around for over 50 years. This is going to stay around for decades and be in the culture and speak truth into it. I love this.
And again, I've heard you sing before, and we were at an event together at the College of the Ozarks. And I'm like, holy, holy smokes! Just such a great talent. I want you to give our listeners a little bit about your musical theater background, your history. Yeah, well, I studied voice in college.
Really wanted to go into opera. And so once I graduated from college, I went on to study for several more years in voice and was doing, you know, the whole starving artist audition circuit type of thing. And really felt like I was being led more to write rather than sing. But, you know, that training always goes with you. And so I started writing.
Actually, I wrote my first song when I was five years old. It was put into a children's musical. And then from there, I started writing, you know, like orchestrations, underscores for plays that weren't quite musicals. But then also started writing my own musicals. And for the last four years, I've produced One Calls the Heart, the musical.
I produced Love Come Softly the Musical, Musical Christmas Carol. You can find all that on the iTunes, Amazon music, and stuff like that. And then I also have a website, musicbychristy.com, where you can hear some excerpts and look at my shows and stuff. And we're just so excited about Ring of Spies. That's been like a four-year passion project for me.
And what's amazing is we're Still trying to figure out who these people were.
So there's no, there's a lot of books on the Culpr Spiring, but there's even more people involved than we even knew. And so we're still uncovering it.
So I've uncovered even more. And I've worked with the Library of Congress wall builders, David Barton and Tim Barton, and several others on the research.
Well, those are good guys.
So it's, but it sounds like it's just going to be a wonderful production. And again, this is an opportunity for our audience to get involved and maybe become sponsors and donate to support great theater. Yeah, this is a grassroots effort because, you know, a lot of times conservatives have kind of been really wary about anything theater. Yeah.
And with good reason, you know, I mean, it's been stuffed down our throats. The other side is very bold with their agenda. And when you go to a show and you expect to see little women, and Joe turns into a transgender, it's not fun. You know, you're trying to explain to your kids what's happening.
So we're tired of that. And so the grassroots are going to have to rise up and support things that are new, just like, you know, the Kendrick brothers did, and just like, you know, the Chosen is doing. There's pushback in the movie area, but I don't see a whole lot of people creating content in the live stage space. And I think with AI coming up, people are going to be even more interested in real, authentic, you know, live experiences that they can share at the community. But we need people's help as well.
So if they go to the website, ringofspies.com, they can buy a ticket or be a sponsor, whatever they want to do. I love this.
And it's always fun in Branson, by the way. I mean, there's always a lot of fun stuff to do. Oh, yeah. It's full of fun stuff to do, and it's a great family spot. In fact, the people in Branson, I'm meeting with them next week, and they told me, they said, we are the most patriotic city in the country.
So I think it's a good fit. Wow. All right.
I know you've got to get off to your son's baseball game.
So we're going to have to leave it there. You wear a lot of hats, including mom. Right.
He's going to pitch today, so we're excited. Oh, that is exciting. All right.
Well, please tell Marlon we said hello and hope you guys have a great week. And Christy, congratulations. What a great thing you're doing. Thank you so much. I appreciate it.
All right, Christy Stutzman, everybody. And this is exciting. And if you've been to Branson. You know that it's going to be a lot of fun, but this is a. This is a state-of-the-art Broadway style production, and it's put together by Christians.
And I think we need to support those kinds of programs. And I want you to go and check them out. We posted a link to it on our YouTube channel and our live chat. But again, that address is ringofspies.com. That's ringofspies.com.
You'll be able to get tickets there. If you want to donate some money to the cause, it's going to cost a lot of money to put this together. You'll be able to do all of that. And the Stutzmen are just good, good-hearted folks from the heartland. All right, we got to take a break here: 901-260-5926.
This is the Todd Stern Show. Hey Todd, I'm really glad we can get some information from you. I would like to know what we know about the the regular people of Iran, because it's a beautiful place and there's some wonderful people there, but it they're not leading the nation like the No. Uh those in Charge in a r Islam. Can you give us some information about the people?
Thanks. Yeah.
All right.
That's Jim from Missouri who sent us a shout out. And again, you can do that if you download our free app over at ToddSterns.com and you can just send us a quick message. Jim, it's a great question. And the Iranian people truly are beautiful people. Look, they're in a difficult spot right now because, well, they don't have weapons.
They don't have access to weapons and Many of them have sacrificed their lives on the streets. And we do know that many of the organizers of the freedom protest have been arrested. Many of them have been executed. Many of them also happen to be Christian.
So I think we just have to keep praying for them. And this is the quandary. I mean, there is a large swath of America who says tough cookies, they're on their own, and there are others who want to go in and lend a helping hand.
So we'll see how it plays out. Let's go to the phones, 901-260-5926, Austin in Northern Michigan. Hi, Austin. What's on your mind? Hey, Todd, good to talk to you again.
Well, I just wanted to add on to your conversation today about the musicals and the national anthem, because I actually have a fun trivia question that I think would be cool for the rest of the listeners to chime in on. Who wrote the Star Spangled Banner and what year did they write it? Wow. So was that?
Well, it was, I mean, Francis Scott Key. I think this is maybe a trick question here. Francis Scott Key, was it an 1812? I'm going off the top of my mind here. Yes, that is correct.
Francis Scott Key wrote the national anthem in eighteen twelve, and I'm a dedicated person to the Star Spangled Banner myself because I've had many opportunities. I sang the National Anthem at some local events in my community like ball games and Olympic events. And so yes, I'm a true patriot to the Star Spangled Banner. Wow, well actually it was 184. 14, but it was the War of 1812.
But, well, I'll be.
So you sing the national anthem at events around your community? Yes, I do. Yes, last summer, I sang at our local baseball team, and I also got the opportunity to sing for some special Some special needs events in the community for people with disabilities. There's a local baseball team in our community for. People with disabilities and special needs.
I sang the national anthem at their events. twice last year, I'm going to be doing that again in May. And then several years ago, I sang the national anthem for our local Special Olympics here and then last summer for our local baseball team, the Traverse City Pit Spitters. Is that right? Wow.
All right.
Well, it sounds like you are one of the celebrities there in Traverse City. Yeah, that's true. And we'd love to have you on the radio up here sometime soon. But I'm really glad I found you, and I'm a big fan of your show.
So keep up the good work, sir.
Well, you're kind to say that, Austin. You sound like a great American patriot, and good luck to you, Athe. You should, I don't know if you heard our first, we had a segment on the show, Great American Media. They're looking for national anthem singers, and they're going to feature those on their TV network.
So you should go and check that out. Wow, wow.
Well, maybe I maybe I will. And I'm a big radio head. I've always been interested in radio and broadcasting as a little kid. And now I'm the official spokesperson for my local company that I work up here.
So I couldn't be any prouder or happier as an American adult who's totally blind.
Well, God bless you, Austin, and thank you. You don't be a stranger. Give us a holler back, and good luck to you out there singing that national anthem. I like that.
Sounds like a great American patriot out there.
So You ever been to Traverse City, Michigan? I have not been. It's a nice little town. I don't get up north that much. It's very cold.
You're a southern guy. Yeah.
It gets cold here too. You don't like to get north of the Mason-Dixon line, is that? No, not much. All right.
Well, all right. 901-260-5926. I don't know what was. Why did I just sign? Has it been?
I don't know. It's just been a weird. No, no, no. It's just been a long week. I don't know why, but it's just been a long week.
It's true. It's Friday, though. Man, I could go for a Dr. Pepper right now. That's what I could go for.
I'd chug one right now. On the air. All right, 901-260-5926. Hey, it is Open Line Friday. We're going to be chatting with folks over at the YouTube channel in the break.
Be sure to check that out. We'll be right back.
All right, welcome back, everybody. This is the Todd Stearns Radio Show. What an honor to have you with us today. Open Line Friday, by the way, and we still have some time to work in your calls. 901-260-5926.
That's 901-260-5926. Well, I want to go right away to our Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line and welcome in our great friend, former Ohio Congressman, Bob McEwen. Bob, look, it's great to hear from you, and we get to see you as well on our video streams. But you do a lot with our Newsmax show, and wanted to get you on the radio so we could have a little bit of fun.
Well, Tony, I love your show and honor to be on. Thank you. You know, Bob, we've been looking at over the past 24 hours or so, a lot of these social media influencers have been going after President Trump. President finally said enough is enough, called them all a bunch of nutjobs. And now it seems as though there's just this big war right now in the podcasting world.
Do you think that's going to have any impact when it comes to the midterm elections?
Well, to a degree, but it won't be definitive in my opinion. What we're experiencing, Todd, is a geopolitical shift. Uh the world is changing completely. And people that have all of their ties to the old order, and that's where their expertise is, and they rewrite the same, they've got their gray hair, and they write for the post of the New York Times, and they appear as experts on PBS, they don't see what's happening to them. But the fact that they talk about NATO, you know, NATO was established after World War II.
Everybody was a part. Canada had the fourth largest army in NATO. Today, it has no army at all. Its entire military is smaller than the National Guard of Alabama. 20% of all their military pilots are in their demonstration team.
And so the idea of NATO being a force, that's all dissipated. And now there's a restructuring taking place. And the President of the United States is leading it. And is this realignment? These folks are still, they're still bedwetters because they think that the world is not the same that they saw it 30 years ago.
Well, the reality is we have allies for a reason, and we needed help from our allies, and they weren't there for us. We've always been there for our allies, and I don't blame the President one bit for having that sort of a conversation and really re-evaluating what is the whole point of NATO.
Well, as you know, it's interesting that when the Republicans are in power, people expect America to do things. And the second Donald Trump became president, they said, why don't you fix Ukraine and Russia? And everybody stands around on their benches and watches with their hands on their knees, saying, Why isn't he doing something? Whereas for four years, 27 members of the European Union, 27 foreign ministries, 27 foreign ministers, not one of them picked up the phone to even talk to Putin. Trump comes in, starts fixing this there, putting it together.
And now they all do is just sit like in the peanut gallery and throw paper wads at him. He said, Why don't you completely fix it? Let's look at Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
Now, we got to remember: only 4% of the population of the world, only 4% are Americans. And yet, everybody says America has to keep the South China Sea open, where 60 to 70% of all maritime traffic goes. That's America's responsibility. When Hamas is attacking Israel, why doesn't America fix it?
Well, lo and behold, we have a leader now who's doing it. And when he fixed the Gaza Strip, they said we're going to have an agreement in the middle of the desert in Sharm el-Sheikh. The President of the United States is going to land for three hours and 20 minutes. And he's going to sign a document. And when the people heard that, over 30 heads of state, including the Prime Minister of Britain and the President of France and the President of the fourth largest nation on earth, Indonesia, the president of Pakistan, people flew from around the world just to stand there, not to say anything, not to do anything, but just to watch the president of the United States sign a document.
Why? Because they knew that's where the power was.
Now, let me tell you: if Xi Jinping, the head of China, had landed at Fiji and 30 heads of state suddenly flew just to be around him, that would be a concern to us because people respected that nation. The fact is, the United States is respected as it never has been before. And China, pardon me, Britain and France and some of these countries have isolated themselves such that you're going to see Poland and Slovakia and Romania. You're going to see nations step up in the new world order, which is going to be stronger, more reliable, and led by the United States naturally. We have Bob McEwen joining us on our Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line today.
Bob, looking ahead towards the midterm elections and really even beyond that, I think the conversations are already being had. What does the Republican Party look like in a post-Trump world? I mean, you're one of those thought leaders in the party. What say you?
Well, the purpose of government is to keep people safe. and and have peace With prosperity. That's the purpose of government to accomplish those things. And, brother, when you look, let's look at peace. Look what is happening around the world.
All of these festering chaos that we saw under the last administration are all being handled one right after another. This situation that's been like a festering cancer for 50 years, ever since Jimmy Carter put Khomeini in charge and kicked out the shawl, the best friend America ever had. For 50 years, Iran has been a thorn in the side of Israel, the Middle East. Look what's happening in the Middle East. All of these countries, the UAE, you saw what they said just a moment ago.
They said, under no circumstances will Iran ever control the Straits of Hormuz, that the Arab states will not permit it.
So you got Oman and Saudi Arabia working with Israel, working with the United States. And so we see peace coming, and then we see prosperity.
Now, think about this: there's the foreign investment, foreign direct investment. Investment is the way you judge the success of an economy. Over the last seven years in the European Union, foreign economic investment into the entire European Union, a population the same as the United States, has been about $100 billion a year. Even under Biden, in America, it was $250 billion a year. Since Donald Trump has come in in 18 months, it's $1 trillion per month, $18 trillion.
Now, that's about 70 to 80% probably of all of the foreign investment on the planet is coming to America.
So when we talk about peace, when we talk about prosperity, you can see what America has to offer.
Now, let's look at the Democrats. I challenge anyone to ask any Democrat What do you stand for and what do you want to accomplish? And there's three words you can't use. You can't use racist, you use Nazi, and you can't use Trump. You have to tell what you're going to do.
And brother, they'll stand there mute because they have nothing of which to offer the country, whether it be the crime that's sweeping all the areas that they control, the collapse of the education, the destruction of their jobs, and of course the border that we're living with, a consequence of their chaos. Bob, real quick, before we have to let you go, right now the ceasefire is somewhat fragile. I think that everybody agrees that Iran is in violation of the ceasefire. They have not actually reopened the Strait of Hormuz. How do you see this playing out?
And is it important to get this wrapped up far in advance of the midterms?
Well, it would be good to have it wrapped up for two reasons. Number one, there's just no reason to have it drag on. It's whether it's going to be up or down. And this president is not a fool. He knows exactly what he's doing.
And he always plays people, and they walk right into their traps. I don't care if it be Schumer or who else. And so he gave them a chance to make peace beforehand. They didn't do it. He's wiped out their military, and they haven't done it.
And now he's resupplying for two weeks in order for them to say we're going to behave. And I don't think they have it in their capacity to behave. And so as a consequence, I think it's going to be over shortly. But here's the problem. The difficult people should always remember, and there's two examples right in front staring us in the face, and that's Ukraine and Iran.
When Russia marched into Ukraine with all of its tanks and all of its great equipment, and poor Ukraine had nothing to withstand it, but it had individual freedom-loving citizens with guns.
Now, I don't care how sophisticated you are, how many missiles you send, there comes a time when you have to put one foot in front of the other and take the land. That's what the army does. And when Russia tried to take the land, they ran into Ukrainians who loved freedom and their guns, and they haven't been able to move an inch.
Now, the first thing that totalitarians always do, whether it be in Australia or wherever, when they go into Iran, they took all of the guns. And the trouble is that when millions of people went out in the streets two months ago, they just mowed them down unlike anything has ever existed in the history of the world. No place has anybody just mowed down 35 to 55,000 people because they didn't have a single gun with which to defend themselves. And that's the dilemma as to how they replace that government. No, you're right.
And again, President Trump said, you know, they tried to get guns in there going through the Kurds, and apparently that backfired. And that's the big question. How do you get these folks the weapons they need so they might be able to take back their country? And I think it's also a reminder for us here in this country, Bob, how important the Second Amendment is. It's absolutely true.
