Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's America's favorite gun-totin, Bible-clanging, deplorable American. That's it! Yeah. That's right. Hello.

Love is American. Todd starts. All right, as near as I can tell, everybody, it looks as though Iran and the United States have decided to go on spring break. Hello, everybody. Welcome to the Todd Stearns Radio Program.

What an honor to have you with us today. And I know a lot of you are going to want to weigh in on what happened last night, where the president has agreed to a two-week Hiatus in whatever is going on over in Iran.

Now, I just want to say something right out of the gate. I have a lot of questions about what's going on here. A lot of questions. And I'm sure you do as well. And I also have a few frustrations as well with how the administration is handling all of this.

Now, the reality, ladies and gentlemen, is that The Iranians are a very dangerous country. No doubt about it. And I'm not sure that The White House is making the right play here.

Now, I want to, you know, I'm always a clock watcher, and I don't, I get a lot of, I just, people give me a hard time about this. I don't know why, but I, you know, I like being on time. I mean, radio, it's all about timing. You've got to make sure you hit your brakes and you start the show. If you, I mean, if the microphone's open and I'm not here, you get dead air, and nobody likes that.

So I'm all about watching the clock. And a lot of you folks were giving me grief early on, early on, in the first couple of months of the administration, when I started to point out some issues. Regarding how quickly President Trump's agenda was moving through Congress, and it really wasn't. Things were getting clogged up. And I tried to explain at the time that we don't have a lot of time.

You know, well, the president's got four years. No, the president has two years, and he really doesn't even have two years. He really has one and a half years to get things done. And the reason why is because Congress is so focused on getting re-elected. The midterms are by the time summer reaches us.

It's all over. Nothing else is going to be done. Nothing else is going to be accomplished. That's it.

So we're looking at May and June, and then everybody's back home. Everybody is out there on the campaign trail.

So we just have a very small fraction of time that we're working with here, and that is of great concern. To me.

So When we did all of this, and let me just stop here. For a moment, I don't honestly, genuinely, I have no idea why we're. Why we're battling Iran right now. But I want to put a caveat on that. Iran should have been wiped off the face of the earth back in nineteen seventy nine.

And again, we talked about this yesterday. Every single president from Jimmy Carter all the way up to Joe Biden kicked that can down the road. That's that's that was a problem.

So yes, Iran should have been destroyed, but I feel like now we're just playing games with them. And I'm not sure first it was not regime change, now it's regime change, now it's back to not being regime change. Pete Hagseth earlier today. I think caused confusion. During the press conference, when he talked about wiping, is the president prepared to wipe out Iran entirely?

And Hegsef, he heads the question. But he said something that that that's that that doesn't concern me. And I don't look. We cannot be signaling to the enemy what we plan to do, right? We just can't do that.

But it was something else that Hegseth said that really caught my attention. He said, quote, This is a terror regime, a military regime. They fund their military and terror camps. We had targets. They knew the scope of what we were capable of.

We hit some military targets on Karg Island, which is a bit of a signal. They can't defend it. Iran ultimately understood their ability, their future to produce, to generate power, to fuel. Their terrorist regime was in our hands. Was in President Trump's hands.

That is why they came back to the table. Full stop.

So, if we are to believe what the Secretary of War is telling us. that the terror regime is still a terror regime, and the terror regime wants to be a terror regime, which is why they wanted a pause. And I do wonder, ladies and gentlemen, If this is a good move for the President to make here. Because we know immediately after the ceasefire was declared, the two-week spring break was declared. That Iran started launching barrages of missiles at four or five other countries, including Israel.

And the argument is, well, you know, it takes a little bit of time to get the Heg Seth made a joke about, well, we got to get the little carrier pigeons and they got to fly because they don't have any communication, and it's going to take a little bit of time.

Well, exactly how much time are we talking about? Is it possible that Iran could use these next couple of weeks to regroup? to replenish their weapons supplies? to hide whatever needs to be hidden. Is it possible that Russia and China could be helping to replenish and provide them with the missiles and the drone technology.

Because we do believe that has been going on. And then you've got the America First crowd, or these MAGA influencers, and we call them Podcastistan. These Podcastistanis are out there, and one minute they're attacking President Trump for being a war criminal, and now that he's not blowing Iran up, they're accusing him of being a A chicken. What is the phrase? Taco?

They called it Taco Tuesday yesterday.

Some of you are like, why is everybody talking about tacos?

Well, it's because that stands for Trump Always chickens out. That's what that means, and that's what they're saying.

So those are not serious people. Yours truly, I to some extent am a war hawk. I do believe that when the United States is in danger, then we must take action and we must take action quickly. Which is why I have been very supportive of the president's position here. I think yesterday just really.

Really concerns me because it makes me wonder if we really are backing off here and we're looking for an exit ramp. That's what I and I say that because there was a moment where Oh yeah. I'm looking through the general um General Kane. Raisin Cain. was out there, and he was talking about listing off all the the amount of food that the military troops had eaten and the amount of coffee they drank and the amount of energy beverages.

And they went on and on and on and on. And I thought to myself as I'm listening to all of this, um. It sounds like we're leaving. Right. It sounds like that um We're just, we're packing up.

We're getting ready to get out of there. That's what it, I mean, that, that's how it came across to me. Like, why is this important? Why is this important unless we're just kind of like doing an in-game rundown here of here's what all we accomplished, and here's what we ate, and here's what we drank?

So my question now is. What what actually did we accomplish here? Did we get all the plutonium? Did we really completely eliminate Iran as a global? Defender and supporter of terrorism?

Or did we just Blow a lot of stuff up. And is that it? I'm just wondering, is that it? And here's why I say this: going back to the clock. They told us the war was going to last four to five weeks max.

We're on what, week seven, six, week seven. I'm, yeah, I've got lost on my kids.

So now we know it's at least going to go additional two more weeks. That puts us into April.

Now if the Iranians keep shooting off missiles and blowing things up, Then we're going to have to step back in. Otherwise, we're going to look like, you know, like we're wusses. I mean, that's ultimately what it what it'll what it'll look like.

So we'll have to go back in.

So you're looking at The potential of us still being in some sort of an armed conflict deep into the summer months. I mean, if this looking, and that is, that is a. That's the minimal estimate here. And so then the war becomes the campaign issue. And that's going to be a big deal because all the Democrats oppose it because they hate America.

And they love the Islamists.

Well, they really don't love the Islamists. They fear the Islamists and they don't want to get blown up.

So they pretend to love them. But they hate us. They hate America. The Democrats do.

So they're going to be mo they're going to be mobilized. And you've seen all the marches, and those things don't matter all that much to me, but. It will show there is momentum. And I say that. Because there's also another anti-American bunch, and that's the podcastist anties who are out there.

opposing the President and his decision to go to war in the first place.

So We could be marching ourselves into a midterm. Where the Republican voters and the base of the party are somewhat demoralized. They're confused. They don't know what's going on because ultimately this administration was really the this term in office was really supposed to be about domestic policy. And let's get real, it's really been about global domination for this president.

And look, if as long as it makes America safer and stronger, I got no problem with that. But you also have to tend to the home fires. And those are still those are still burning in dumpsters. And we haven't gotten a lot accomplished. The concern I have is this.

Are we cutting bait here? Is that what's really going on? Are we cotton bait? And if so, declare victory and leave, I guess, but. I'm just going to tell you something.

The language of our president. has power. And I'm just going to tell you that The American there was a A large swath of the American people. And I just want to talk about the Trump supporters here. And they believe every single word this president says.

They take this president when he's when the president of the United States is putting out a statement, they take that to heart. And I'm telling you, there were some diehard Trump supporters out there who were terrified that there was going to be some sort of a nuclear conflict last night. I was leaving, going back home, and after the Newsmax show last night. and I ran into a sweet lady she was walking her dog. And she made a B-line over.

I was doing, I was just wrapping up a staff meeting on the cell phone. I was juggling groceries, and she came over and she says, You're Todd Starnes. I said, Yes, ma'am, I am. She says, I listen to the show every day. And I said, Well, thank you.

And she had this cute little dog. It was, I don't know, one of those little, you know, what I got, the metrosexual purse dogs. You know, Dylan, the kind of furry, they're kind of like just a little bit larger than a, you know, a cat. But a beautiful little thing. I I digress.

She looked at me and she said Is there going to be nuclear war tonight? And It just caused me to I just stopped for a moment and I said I don't think so, ma'am. I think we're going to be okay.

So all that to say If this White House is going to bring us to the brink, We need a better explanation than what we got. That's all I'm saying about it. It's I think a lot of people are, they don't know what to feel. They don't know what to feel. And on this program, ladies and gentlemen, I don't work off any talking, I really don't.

I don't. And I get the emails. I get the hate. And that's okay. But I think a lot of people are just confused.

And they're frustrated. because deep down I think we all know that the regime in Iran has not been decimated? and that they are just as deadly and as dangerous today as they were yesterday and the day before. 901-260-5926. We're going to go to your phone calls this hour of the show.

North Carolina Keith listening to us on the talk station. Hi, Keith. What's on your mind? Excuse me. All right, let's put Keith on hold and let's get him ready to go, guys.

So we'll get back to Keith in a moment. Let's go to Richard and Ocala, Florida, WOCA. Richard, go. Howdy, Mr. Todd, thanks for taking my call.

Todd, I'll try to be quick. Uh far as the war goes, I think we need to finish the job. The Iranians have lied to us and killed us and murdered us and been all doing these things for forty-seven years, they're not going to change. I think we have to finish the job, and nobody I don't think we've had another president. That had the nerve to do it for whatever reason.

If Trump don't do it, I don't think it's gonna get done. And if he don't finish, I believe in six months or a year, there'll be just as bad or worse. And you're right, the Russians have been supplying them with weapons for decades. They're liable to give them the nukes that everybody's worried that Trump's going to use. You know what I'm saying?

I think he needs to finish it. And as far as the domestic issues, Mr. Todd. The president got in there and made all kinds of executive orders and tried to get these things done. But Congress has to make them permanent.

I mean, he can't do that on his own. I blame Congress for the domestic issues. Trump is proven he's trying to Best interest for America in making and signing these things into effect, but if they don't if Congress don't pass them, then what do we what options do we have?

So I blame the Congress for that, and I think we need to just take hands off and let the President fight the war. And I don't I mean, if he was just nuclear, that's you know, that's in his ballpark, not mine. I mean, we don't want that. We don't want boots on the ground. We don't have to.

But what's the use of having a military if you don't use it when you need it? Here's what I think we need. Richard, here's me. And I think ultimately this is what bothers me about all of this, is we did this in Iraq when George H.W. Bush was in office.

We didn't go all the way. We did not finish the job. And as a result, we all know what happened after that. And you can extrapolate 9-11 and a lot of other horrible things that happened as a result of us leaving before we finished the job here.

So if you are going to go to war with a country, you're going to have my support, President Trump, but you got to finish the job. And I'm tired of playing around. It's like we're pussyfooting around here. Either get in there and get the job done, because honestly, Richard, my concern is every single day that you're on spring break is a day that the Iranians are working and trying to figure out a way to kill American soldiers. I agree 100%.

They might be loading back up with weapons and missiles. Right in the next two weeks. And the siege fire just Prepping for the next barrage, I think he should have finished it at 8 o'clock last night. I really do. But that's just my opinion, sir.

Well, I know it's a fair opinion. And, Richard, I appreciate that. Honestly, he should have finished it the first week of this nonsense. But again, the president's got a plan.

So let's see what happens. I do want to ask a question: Vietnam war veterans, World War II veterans, Korean conflict veterans. Did you guys take a a two-week holiday, a two-week spring break? During the middle of hostilities? I don't think so.

This is something new. Gulf War, folks? 901-260-5926. Our telephone number, that's 901-260-5926. This is the Tom Stern Show.

This is the story of the one. As a procurement manager for a hospital system, she keeps every facility in her network stocked and ready. And with fast, dependable delivery, Granger helps her keep every facility stocked, safe, and running smoothly. Call 1-800-GRANGER, clickranger.com, or just stop by.

Granger for the ones who get it done. All right, welcome back to the Tonsterns radio show. Do you support President Trump's decision here? to go on a two-week hiatus. And see if Iran is going to follow through with whatever terms they've come up with.

Give us a call, 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. Let's go to North Carolina. I think we've reestablished contact with Keith. Keith, what's on your mind?

Thank you for hanging on with me there. I had one of those. sudden cost that sneak up on you. In November of nineteen seventy nine. I was on the hangar deck of the of the Taro Fully lifed and loaded.

And we had helicopters idling upon the deck. We were about to go in and take our embassy back. And then that's whenever a Okay. Not Carter, but who was elected after him, Reagan? Reagan was elected and they told us to stand down.

And had Reagan not have been elected, Imagine this. Maybe none of this would have been possible. Are it needed? because Carter was going to send us in Our job was to take that embassy back. And to get our get our uh Our hostages.

Now, it was my understanding that Delta Force, you know, they sent in Delta Force to try and stage a rescue, and there was that was a horrible tragedy. My understanding is that as soon as as soon as Ronald Reagan was sworn into office, put his hand on the Bible, those hostages were released.

So you're saying that what, Reagan I I don't understand what you're saying here, Keith. You're right, Delta Force that they had their mishap on the beach. We were sitting on the flight deck to go in and and parachute in And not parachute, but Helicopter in. to the actual embassy to get to start there and work our way out. to take care of everything.

So but it was Jimmy Carter who pulled the plug on that. Yes. Yes. Okay. Once Reagan was elected.

They uh they uh Ayatollah. decided he didn't want to mess with it, so he let us go. That is correct, Keith. And again, it goes back to this should have been taken care of back in 1979. We should have said, you know what, you've got.

And I'm just tired of these constant deadlines. We're going to give you 48 hours, we're going to give you. You know, 72 hours. We're going to give you a week. Forget about all of that.

You tell them you either release our people now. Or we're going to unleash. I mean, that's the way, that's the only thing these people understand. The Islamists only understand brute force. Keith, thank you for the call.

901-260-5926 is our number. That's 901-260-5926. No, I'm not, no, I'm not in a bad mood. I'm just, I am frustrated because we've been down this path so many times. Washington, DC is so corrupt, ladies and gentlemen.

It it really is. It's beyond the pale. By the way, and the other issue is you've got these idiots in the mainstream media. This is Lawrence O'Donnell from PMS Now. Take a listen.

That brilliant rescue was described by the Secretary of Defense. and by General Dan Kaine, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. as a long-standing American military rule. of never leaving anyone behind. We leave no man behind.

That is, of course, the old school version of the idea back when only men flew American military planes. General Dan Kane. Uh The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff put it this way. We leave no one behind. The general knows, unlike Pete Hegseth, that that could have been a woman.

They were trying to rescue, and it might be a woman the next time. Uh I just can't. Lawrence O'Donnell, what a moron. Yeah, how come he didn't say no person? It could have been a woman.

This guy literally thinks that if it had been a woman, that Hegset may not have even sent anybody in to get her. That's what this guy is saying. You have to use generic pronouns. Unbelievable, this guy. You know, Lawrence O'Donnell, this guy is a quintessential jackass.

That's what that guy is. And this is the problem. We have an incompetent mainstream media. And they don't care anything about covering the word. They don't even want to understand.

How dangerous Iran is. And by the way, you say, well, Todd, how do you know? Because that's what President Donald J. Trump told us. That's what George W.

Bush told us. That's what Ronald Reagan told us. That's what H.W. Bush told us. That's even what Bill Clinton told us.

What about Barack Hussain Obama? No, Obama gave them money. They're all pals.

Something tells me they all may work well, I don't want to go to the anyway. Hussein Obama. There's a clue there.

So, if you're wondering why I'm concerned, because they're telling us that these guys had the capability of doing nukes. We know that our ballistic missiles It's like hitting a bullet with a bullet. If one of those things goes off and we lose an American city, and I don't want to lose an American city. And I'm sure you don't either.

So if we're going to do this, let's Do it. And I will say this. I think that Trump. Got so much blowback. From his own people.

in the White House. Over the comments about ending the Iranian civilization. I will say that that language is probably What caused Iran to plead their case? But do you really think they've surrendered? Do you really think that We got all the plutonium.

Do you really think that the regime is going to change? Is that a concern of ours? I know, and I look, I know Israel's upset about all of this because Israel, they're still getting, they're getting hit by the missiles, and I get that. But at what point do we, where do we go now? That's the big question.

Where do we go now? 901-260-5926, our telephone number, that's 901-2606. two six zero five nine two six. While all of that is going on. You have a situation up on Capitol Hill.

With Maria Salazar. And she has introduced a piece of legislation called The Dignity Act.

Now We were so busy focusing on the war That a lot of folks were not paying attention to the fact. that this has a lot of Republican support. And I suspect it's going to have the support of just about every member of the Democrat side of the aisle as well. This legislation will, in fact, ladies and gentlemen. Provide amnesty to as many as twelve million illegals.

that are currently in this country. It will also Prevent the United States from deporting a lot of people who may be in gang bases.

So they keep the they keep military they keep police files of all the illegals that may be gang bangers. That's what this is doing. The fact of the matter is, we've got 25 billion illegals in this country. And apparently, we're just not rounding them all up, and we're not kicking them out.

Now, Salazar is out there. And she's on the record. I want you to listen to Maria Salazar. This is her speaking. She's from Florida, Republican Congresswoman, back in 2023 at the World Economic Forum.

Take a listen to Cut 7. Overhaul of the immigration system. Because not only do we need those hands, like the Congress senator was saying, but we need to also give dignity. To those people who are in the country, and those are the people that I represent. We're talking about 13 million, 15 million people who are most of them Hispanics, I would say 85 percent, who speak my language, look like me and sound like me, that are contributing with the economy of this country, and they live in the shadows.

So it's time to seal the border, like she said, put order, let's see who comes in and who doesn't, and then turn around and give dignity. That doesn't mean path to citizenship, that means to include them and make them dignified members of our community. That's exactly what it is. It is. And by the way, it's not even ca she called it the Dignity Act is what they're calling it, but the official language is actually in Spanish, Dignidad.

The Dignidad Act.

So that's all you need to know about what Maria Salazar is trying to do here. And if that happens I'm just not sure how the Republican base of the party is going to react to that. If that legislation actually gets through Congress, but she's got several dozen, she has several dozen Republicans, and if all the Democrats jump on board here, they're going to stick it to the American people. And that is. That's the end of it, right there, folks.

I've got a lot more to say about this coming up. No, I'm not in a bad mood, Dylan. I'm just frustrated. With the Republicans. All right, let's go to.

Tom in Salem, Oregon, listening to us on KYKN. Tom, what's on your mind? Yes. I think Trump and his gang is doing it just right because that gives him and us time to restock Restock our you know, our the weapons, can't say it. And uh, And also watch what the hell they're doing and where they're going to dig out some of the stuff that we help bury.

So I think it's a good move. And once we see that they're violating it, And and whether uh moving their people around to That we can then go and finish the job. I think there's no problem within the. They don't have any fear of finishing the job, that's sure, but we just need more and more because and let our guys rest a little bit. Ever.

And a half a week or so. Yeah, spring break. Yeah, that's a two weeks. Yeah. Okay.

I don't think it'll be a two week of me. And yeah, I was just kind of thinking, well, maybe you're just trying to stir us up a little bit. No, Tom, no, I don't stir you up. I really don't. I mean, when I get behind this microphone, I just have, I wear my emotions on my sleeve.

And this is not, you know, political theater here. I'm just genuinely frustrated and concerned because we are in a precarious spot right now. When you look at what's happening in New York City, And how quickly they are moving towards socialism. When you look at what's happening in Seattle, in Texas, where the governor of Texas, the guy supposed to be a Republican, saying this is Indian territory, welcoming in just millions of Indian Americans. You've got mosques popping up all over America.

And then you've got this situation with Iran. It bothers me because maybe deep down inside, I knew this is what was going to happen. We're going to get to a point. We're going to have a lot of rhetoric. They'll reach some sort of a happy deal for everybody.

And then we just go on our business, and Iran still has the ability to make nukes. No, I don't think so, but also you hit on another good point. that I think we need to hammer on. how crazy the Democrats are and that they've We need to inform that The middle of the rotors that they've been taken over by the socialist/slash communist party, and we got the commies that want to kill us right in the country, basically. The mu mind numb robots that follow whatever the dems are saying.

But we really need to hammer that before the midterms because I think a lot of the Dems out there don't have a clue who's controlling their party. They don't have an idea where tax money comes from. It comes from businesses paying taxes and people paying taxes. And if you're going to tax the shit out of them, they're going to move out of your state and out of your country. All right.

We got to go there, guys.

Sorry, folks. Got to mind your manners on the radio. Can't be using the language. 901-260-5926. Let's go to Steve in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Hi, Steve. What's on your mind? Hey Todd, I'm really going to help you move today. Oh. You do realize we haven't ended a war with a peace treaty and a signed agreement on our terms since World War two.

Exactly. That is Steve, you've just set me off again. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I go ahead and finish your thought.

Jeez a little. We're still under a ceasefire with North Vietnam after seventy I mean, North Korea after seventy four years.

So I don't know, I'm like you, I don't feel too optimistic. that we're going to get any kind of Signed agreement from Iran that they see the light and they're going to do. what is best for the rest of the world. Yeah, Steve, again, it's a great point. We're just not finishing, we're not finishing what we started.

That's the problem. And we've got to, if we're going to go over there and we're going to start blowing stuff up, putting American lives on the line, we've got to finish the job here. And I just, I don't think the country, I think the ethos of the country has changed so much from World War II, Steve, that we actually forget it was Democrats who were running the show. Yeah, yeah. But it's also uh Why a lot of Americans right now are not fully in support of their what their country is doing, whether it's best for them or not.

It's just I well think here it goes again, you know. Same old thing. We're gonna it it's like schoolyard politics. walking around huff huffed up trying to make somebody back down and nothing ever really gets settled. It's a fair point you're raising, Steve.

By the way, before I let you go, I'm glad you called. Uh, because there's some crazy stuff going down around Little Rock with the rise of Islam and apparently Arkansas signed off on an Islamic community with Koran based Sharia rules. What in the world is happening in the great state of Arkansas? Uh it's the same thing. It's going on all over the country.

I know you're aware of it and stuff, but uh Yeah. I don't know, I don't I don't follow Little Rock politics that much, to be honest with you. I live about forty miles north of Little Rock, so Uh I probably should be more involved with it. But I'm not, but it's uh This is Many same thing that went on in Michigan. Wow.

Well, let me say this. Stephen, I got to run. We're super late for a break here, but they're saying that Arkansas is becoming. Little Saudi Arabia.

So that's insane. All right, got to take a break here. 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show. Yeah.

All right, White House press briefing is about to get underway. No, I'm not in a bad mood, Dylan. Is it. The listeners who are saying I'm in a bad mood is coming across like I'm in a foul mood today. There are a few clouds outside.

Maybe that's affecting something, you know. It's mostly sunny, it says. I need a Dr. Pepper. Yeah, a couple.

Make it a double. Maybe that's what I need. Yeah. And some ho-hoes. I can't eat those.

I'm on a blasted diet out of it. Oh, well, people might talk. People might. I'm just saying. All right.

So I will do my best to be more cheerful in the next hour of the program. I am making that no promises here. By the way, we're waiting for the White House press briefing to kick in. We may have to dip into some of that, but we'll keep you updated. 901-260-5926 is our telephone number.

That's 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show. Not another Live. From the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee. It's common sense conservative commentary from Todd Starr.

Setzers! That's... Bye. Yeah. I'm sorry.

Love is American. And hello, everybody. Welcome to the Touchdowns radio program, Hour Two Underway. We are waiting for the White House. They're having a press briefing, and we'll try to dip into that.

So Dylan, just give me a holler when Caroline Levitt takes the podium there. We're also going to be taking your calls. Do you believe President Trump made the right call here, or do you think we just need to go in and finish the job in Iran? Our telephone number: 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926.

Now, one of the things that a lot of folks you may not be aware of this. But there are a number of the Iranian mullahs. The leaders, the Islamists, and they've actually sent their children. And their families to live here in the United States of America.

Now, Fox News was talking about this just a little while ago. I want you to take a listen to this report. What looks like is happening here is that these people are propagandists. They're not just, they're not refugees. They're not asylum seekers.

They go back and forth to Iran whenever they want, but they're promoting propaganda, pro-IRGC propaganda, and teaching in schools in this country. They're essentially working for the IRGC in this country.

So we need to be a heck of a lot better at looking at who's coming in here. And I think that the Secretary of State cracking down on these individuals is great. Masia Lirenjad has been flying these names out of her mouth for a long, long time, saying these people need to go. Of course, no one in the Biden administration listened. I think that's changing now.

Well, I certainly hope so. My question is, why haven't we already deported these people? Why were you you're telling me that some of the most dangerous terrorists in the world and we're letting their children, their offspring, their family members live in America? We're letting them teach in our schools and spew anti-American propaganda on American soil, and we're paying for all of this? It's insane, ladies and gentlemen, just absolutely insane.

I want to go back, and one of our callers in the last, I think it was Steve from Arkansas, pointed this out: that since going all the way back, all of the wars that we fought, There's only been one where a peace treaty was actually signed, and that was to end World War two. Every war since then, it's it's it's ended on what on a cease fire. I want to go to the phones here. Let's talk to Don in Houston, Texas on Patriot Talk 920. Don, a lot of people are frustrated.

They're saying that I need just to calm down, that Trump knows what he's doing here. What say you? Yeah. Well, I don't know whether you need to calm down or not. But I don't think and Look, I love I love Trump.

I honestly do. But, you know, we can't you can't quit halfway through. A random lied. They've proved it over and over for a number of years.

So you can't accept what they say. You've got to put them in a position where That's it. You you shoot one more missile. That any country Regardless of whether it's Israel or United States, you shoot one more missile in another country, we're taking you out. Problem is.

I best use my thoughts. I mean you cannot Tell talk to a bully and you've stopped. You've got to show the bully you mean business. And Iran's just they're never going to stop. And I'm so sick and tired of our Republican Party not doing what we elect them to do Uh You know, I don't want to stop voting.

I've voted for a number of years, a great number of years. And I don't want to just stop voting, but I'm so disgusted with the Republican Party that I'm ready to throw up my hands and just say, Hey, You know, ruin the country if that's what you want to do. Don, I hear you, and I don't want you to. We always have to vote because, as horrible as the Republicans are, The Democrats are evil, and their plans for all of us are. Evil, and we have got to stop that.

The problem here is this, and I want to give you an example. And Don, thank you for that call. The problem is this, ladies and gentlemen.

So, Tuesday, Over in northwest Georgia, there was a special election. Because Marjorie Taylor Greene was a coward and quit. She ran away, she got butt hurt, and she quit her job. She quit on the American people.

So there had to there was a special election. to replace Marjorie Taylor Greene. And the good news here is that Clay Fuller Actually, won that runoff. uh race on Tuesday. But there's a problem.

And the problem is this: that there was a 25-point shift. To the Democrats in that congressional district. Let me repeat that: a 25-point shift. to the left For the Democrats.

Now look this is a rock solid red, rock solid red. Pro-Trump county in Georgia, or pro-Trump district in Georgia, no doubt about it. And I have very little concerns that the Democrats are going to be able to flip this in the midterms because again, Mr. Fuller is going to have to run again in the midterm elections. I don't have a problem with that.

My concern is, what about all those other congressional districts out there that are a lot closer? Maybe they're slightly red or a little red-ish. If the Republicans don't turn out in big numbers, and again, it was a special election, I know that. But again, the Republicans just did not show up to vote. That's what's going on here.

Democrats were motivated. Republicans, who are the majority, stayed home. And this guy was still able to win. I think he won by 12 points.

So it's a very comfortable margin for Republicans, no matter what. But when you look at this as a whole, when you look at All of the elections that have taken place from Virginia to New York City to Texas. Florida. It's very clear that the Republican voters are just demoralized right now. They're just really frustrated.

They're not seeing a lot of things happen that were promised. They see Congress fighting President Trump tooth and nail. And just remember, the only reason the Republicans won Congress was because Donald Trump was on the ticket. That's it.

That that's the only reason, and they barely wanted that.

So We can't make any mistakes on the Republican side of the aisle. That's what I'm trying to say here. We can't make stupid decisions, we can't do dumb things. We just can't. We cannot do that.

We don't have We don't have the margins to do that. Again, a 25-point shift to the left. in Marjorie Taylor Greene's old congressional district. If I'm a betting man, I'm concerned about the chances the Republicans are going to have unless we give the voters something to celebrate and something to cheer. And you're going to have to tell me what that is.

Is it gas prices coming back down? Is it watching more people get deported? It's almost as if, and I know that they are the deportations are happening. But are they really happening at the levels That they should be. And that I don't know.

It's all very they're all very hush-hush now about deportations. And so don't be surprised at the end of the day if we find out that this administration really did not deport as many people as they said they were going to. All right, let's go to Mike in Moorhead City, North Carolina. Hi, Mike. What's on your mind today?

Hey, Todd. First off, uh I'd just like to say shame on you for this world domination. Um Comment. What do you mean, shame on me? Um well Well, let me just say this.

So Somebody who has the power to uh Help.

someone and just sits back and doesn't do it. Who's really in the wrong there? you know, Iranian people, they've been being killed left and right. Venezuela pumping as many drugs as they could into America, and nobody has done anything about it. We're just going to sit back and Hey.

You know, so be it. You know, Trump has President Trump has actually.

Well ma'am. He's actually decided that that is wrong. And I'm going to tell you, I'm with him. And we do need to finish the job.

So why are you coming at why are you accused? What are you upset with me about?

Well, you said that you had that world domination. Come in. I just I'm going, what? You know, um, and he has gone into two or three countries. What are you talking about?

I haven't said what did I say about global domination. What did I say about global domination? That was your opening statement. That was your opening statement. You need to go back and listen.

No, no, you're calling in and you're making an accusation here.

So I'm telling you that I believe the President should finish the job in Iran and that we should stop any threats to the United States of America.

So how do you and I disagree here?

Well, I I don't disagree with that. I don't disagree with that. That's like I said, if If you have the power to rescue these people or to stop the drug trade, Um you know, or to take care of a Uh you know, our enemies Um you know, have a island just Hang it out. 60 miles off our coast. Yeah, yeah, I think we should take care of that, absolutely.

And he's the first one that's had the guts to do it.

Well, I think you're misunderstanding what I was saying because you and I are saying the exact same thing here. My concern is that we're pulling out before we get the job done, and that's only because there are people in the administration, and one of them is the vice president who, behind the scenes, is opposed to all of this. And he doesn't think we ought to be going down this path. Mike, I got to run, but thank you for the call. And by the way, this is the other part of the thing.

President Trump, and I feel bad for the Iranian people. They don't have any guns, but they allowed this to happen to them. They just did. But what President Trump said the other day is that the U. S.

tried to arm the protesters. They were trying to funnel the guns and the weapons through the Kurds, and then the Kurds apparently kept all the guns. I'm just wondering, who did anybody do a background check on the we were given all these weapons? Did we know any of this beforehand? Or we're just randomly finding people and saying, hey, can you give the Iranian protesters these guns?

All of this is all very confusing. 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show. All right, Charles in Gainesville, Georgia, listening to us on WGU and has a theory about all of this. All right, Charles, what's your theory?

Okay, yeah. I I So yesterday after he announced Hey, Charles. Charles, guys, hang tight right quick. Do we have the president going to the podium yet? All right, we don't.

All right, my apologies. All right, let's go back. Charles, my apologies. Go ahead. Yeah, okay.

Um I was thinking, you know, I got to thinking while I was cutting the grass, enjoying the sunshine, but And you were Kind of bringing me down with your depression today. Oh, geez, hello. Just just a little joke, Derek. Charles, I'm I'm in a good mood, okay?

Okay, Charles? Yeah. All right, go ahead, go ahead. All right. So, you know, yesterday when he announced um you know, the time is ticking and The world's gonna come to an end and and all of that.

You know, they started putting people around all of the targets that he was going to bomb.

So if he did that, if he went on and bombed it and the world would collapse around Trump. Thank you, Yohisa. He's a war criminal and da da da da da.

So My theory is he he went forward with the ceasefire knowing that they're not going to. Um Abide by it, which they haven't. Um to allow them to the people to disperse And then when they're not looking, so to speak. Bam goes and hits the targets when the people aren't there.

So I I I say probably by the weekend, they'll be back to bombing because I don't think they're going to adhere to this ceasefire. Just my thought. No, look, it's a good thought. And I think they're trying to say, well, not everybody got the message in Iran to stop firing the missiles, which is why we had all of the attacks last night. And that may be the case.

But I think tonight's going to be the real test. I mean, if they're still sending over missiles, at some point we just have to pull the plug on this and put a stop to it. Charles, do you think, though, that we need to have a decisive Victory here, a complete surrender of Iran. At the end of the day. I I I think so because they're they've been deceptive all along.

You know, for 47 years.

So you're not going to, they're not going to do anything they say they're going to do.

So you're just going to have to whoop them. Yeah. And a good old-fashioned button whooping. Exactly right. All right.

Well, Charles, we're going to leave it there. We're going to go right to the White House. Caroline Levitt is now speaking to reporters. Let's listen in. This is a victory for the United States of America that the President and our incredible military made happen.

From the very beginning of Operation Epic Fury, President Trump stated this would be a four to six week military operation to dismantle the military threat posed by the radical Islamic Iranian regime. Thanks to the unbelievable capabilities of America's warfighters, the United States has achieved and exceeded those core military objectives in just 38 days. The U.S. military destroyed Iran's defense industrial base, crushing the regime's ability to manufacture weapons that they and their proxies use to maim and kill Americans and terrorize the world. Iran's ability to build and stockpile ballistic missiles and long-range drones has also been set back by years compared to where it was six weeks ago prior to the launch of Operation Epic Fury.

We destroyed the vast majority of Iran's ballistic missiles, launcher vehicles, and long-range attack drones through more than 450 strikes on ballistic missiles and approximately 800 strikes on Iran's drone launching units and storage facilities. In total, more than 13,000 targets across Iran were struck. Again, this is in the matter of just 38 days.

Meanwhile, the Iranian Navy was completely annihilated. The United States destroyed more than one hundred fifty naval vessels in total, including sixteen entire classes of Iranian warships. Despite once being the largest undersea force in the Middle East, Iran now has zero submarine vessels. 97% of Iran's once massive inventory of more than 5,000 naval mines has also been targeted and destroyed. Iran's air forces are functionally and operationally irrelevant at this point, after the United States maintained total air dominance over their country for weeks on end.

To underscore the significance of this, before Operation Epic Fury, The Iranian Air Force would fly between 30 to 100 flights per day. Today, that number is zero. Iran's ability to fund and support its terrorist proxies has been greatly reduced. At this point, Iran can no longer distribute weapons to its proxies in the region. And most importantly, Iran will not be able to acquire nuclear weapons.

Prior to the start of this successful operation, Iran was aggressively expanding its short-range ballistic missile arsenal. Through these weapons and its Navy, Iran was attempting to build a military buildup around their country that would pose an imminent and existential threat to the United States' military assets in the Middle East, our allies in the region, and ultimately the free world. Iran was pursuing this dangerous and aggressive strategy for one reason, to hold the entire world hostage to its terrorist ambitions. All right, we're going to have to take a hard break here. We'll come back with more of Caroline Levitt.

We'll be monitoring all of it. 901-260-5926. Sounds like we're declaring total and complete victory.

So maybe the war is over. Working families across the country with the no tax on tips provision and the no tax on overtime.

Next week is tax week. You'll hear a lot from the president about how his policies have benefited the American people. And I'm proud to report that the president will be traveling next week to the great states of Nevada and Arizona to tout this historic accomplishment over the course of the next week. Thank you for being here, Shane. Gabe.

Thank you, Caroline. The Iranian state media is saying that Iran has now closed off the straight of four moves today in response to Israeli attacks on Lebanon. What's the White House response to that? And you just listed many military successes. I understand that.

But strategically, How is the administration arguing that Iran does not have more economic leverage? Than now than it did before the start of the war. Sure.

Well, with respect to the first reporting out of Iranian state media, the president was made aware of those reports before I came to the podium. That is completely unacceptable. And again, this is a case of what they're saying publicly is different privately. We have seen an uptick of traffic in the strait today. And I will reiterate the president's expectation and demand that the strait of Hormuz is reopened immediately.

All right. There you go. Caroline Lovitt responding to reports that are just out that the Iranians have closed the Strait of Hormuz, which again would the first two things that the Iranians are required to do is stop shooting missiles and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and they've already violated both of those.

So are we going to be able to make it to the second week of Iranian U.S. spring break? Who knows? Let's go to the Patriot mobile newsmaker line and bring into the conversation our great friend, Fox News columnist. Liz Peak.

Just fair warning. Apparently, the audience says I'm in a bad mood today. I think I'm just really frustrated by all of this.

So my apologies if I come off a little harsh. A little grumpy, well, look, I mean, I think today is a sa day of celebration. And I agree that these reports of ceasefire viola violations are alarming and annoying. But also probably expected, right? I mean, I think.

One of the issues in dealing with Iran right now, and this has been clear for weeks We don't know who's in charge. We may have made we being the White House may have made a deal with one faction or another In Iran, people in power, but they may not have communicated with other people in power.

So I don't think that's too surprising. I do think the one thing, Todd, that could be difficult here is Iran is saying They closed the Strait of Hormuz because Israel is attacking Lebanon. And what is disturbing about that is clearly Israel has to be our partner. in making this ceasefire work. If this is a deal breaker, Trump is not going to be happy If Israel undermines what he considers to be a pretty massive achievement.

and that the world has welcomed So I think I think this is a little bit of a difficult moment. My guess is he's on the phone with Netanyahu. as we speak, trying to figure this out. Because he wants this to work. The whole world.

The incredible thing is. the number of people and Democrats and the left Who just don't, who are really rooting. Against our country, against Success in Iran. And honestly, I think it's one of the times in my life where I'm just saying: what are they thinking? How can any reasonable person align themselves with a An organization, a country dedicated to terrorism.

I don't know. Liz, it's a great point. And it's not only the Democrats who are doing that, but there are some on our side or allegedly on our side of the aisle who feel the same way. A lot of these, I've been calling them podcasta standeys is what they are, but these very powerful, influential folks who are, it almost seems like they're rooting against America here. And I just find that to be shocking.

Well, I think partly it's rooting against America. There's certainly a tinge of anti-Semitism. that is underpinning that routing. Uh, I know you're talking about we're all afraid, in a way, of crossing these people because they do have such a big megaphone, but my god. What are they talking about, Todd?

What do they want? Do they want a President who is client, let's just take a moment to consider why we are fighting with Iran. We're fighting with Iran because for decades people have talked about not allowing Iran to have a nuclear weapon. They were on the cusp of having a nuclear weapon, and there was no way on God's earth that they were going to give that up. Number two, we're fighting against them because they had a massive stockpile of ballistic missiles, and only last week, Did we find out that their capabilities with ballistic missiles was far greater than we anticipated?

So that Europe would then reach. the European capitals, Paris, London, etc. Iran had access to those. capitals via Missiles that were now, you know, were long distance and we didn't know that. Pretty soon the United States was going to be within reach of Iranian missiles.

That has to be a good thing, number one, that we discovered it. Number two, that we are well on the way to pulverizing their ability to make those missiles again. And number three, I think one of the more treacherous aspects of the ceasefire and any agreement that comes, we are going to have to deal with the reality that the straight afore moves is A choke point to the entire world economy, and that Iran controls the state of Hormuz. I tweeted out. just in the last several minutes.

A a reporter That is quoted in a piece on the hill, who's saying, Before this war, Iran did not have control over the Strait of Hormuz. That is absolutely not true. They always had that. They had it by dint of their missile. Position and by dint of Carg Island and the geography.

So I don't know what this person is talking about. They were not. let's say this, they were not controlling the straighter hormoose in terms of blocking access to it, but they certainly had that capability. And Todd, that is one of the three things that we have to see Ended with any kind of peace negotiation with Iran. They can't have nukes.

We got to get rid of their missile inventories. And we have got to make sure that the world always is able to ship oil through this trade-off move. Yeah, no doubt about that. And we've got Liz Peake joining us on our Patriot mobile newsmaker line. I know Caroline Levitt is now going after the media saying they should stop spreading Iranian regime propaganda.

Yeah. Which is what it is. Yeah, that is. I know. I mean, it's pretty stunning that the Iranians, who, by the way, have lied and cheated for decades about everything they've done.

And if anyone doubts that, just go back to the reports from the IAEA, the United Nations nuclear inspectors, And look at what they have reported over the years. Iran lies, they lie all the time.

So, why is it that? These reporters are taking uh there the the public relations effort From Tehran, which is really what they're doing, and giving credibility to it. I just really don't understand that. No, and I think for me, I'm just, when it comes to Iran, I'm just a hardliner. You know, I remember as a kid, you know, I was in, I think, junior high school in 79 when all of that happened with the taking of the Iranian.

And Liz, I think all of us who lived through that, that was a hard, I mean, that was really a traumatic thing. Every night, you know, when you had Ted Koppel, which was the start of Nightline, and they would run down, what, day 59, day 200 and whatever. I just think that you can't trust these people, and we're giving them a two-week. My concern is we're giving them two weeks to regroup. To have whatever weapons, you know, drones, missiles replenished.

I have to imagine they're getting help from either Russia or China or both. Uh and my concern is that um You know, that they're not going to they're not going to be they're not going to go into whatever kind of negotiations in good faith. Without a doubt, they are not. But also, remember what extraordinary intelligence. We have, we have an eye on these people.

We have an eye on what they're doing. Between the United States and Israel, there are not too many stones left unturned in Iran. That's why we've been able, Israel mainly has been able to pick off their leadership one person at a time. That's why every time a drone surfaces with a missile attached, 99% of the time, it is spotted and it is brought down.

So, yes, they may try. I don't think in two weeks they can do a great deal of replenishment. or reorganization of their government. And Trump said the other night, and I think people ignored it, but it's true. How are they communicating?

I think I read in the journal this morning or maybe the FT, they're communicating via notes They're actually have runners taking notes. from one official to another. That's I mean, we have so degraded their twenty first century capabilities It's going to take more than two weeks to put that back together. But look, it's a very stressful time. And here's what I think.

If if Trump does not like the way This is proceeding. they they're going to have to watch out because I think he will unleash fury Not necessarily on power plants and bridges, maybe on Carg Island, I don't know, but he is not done. I think as much as everybody in the administration wants to put this in the rearview mirror. because of higher oil prices and all the political implications of that, more important is achieving our goals in Iran. No doubt about it.

And you're right. We we do have to do that. And I will say this. I told the story in the first hour. I was getting out of my car yesterday.

I was running errands and a lady came over and she recognized me and she said, Is Is he really gonna do it? Is he gonna wipe Israel or Iran off the face of the earth? And if just I think so many people in this country, there's a lot of anxiety in this country because they were truly afraid that that was going to happen. But if that's how we felt, We weren't the ones getting blown up. You have to imagine how the Iranians must be feeling right now.

I agree, and I think that they have good cause to worry because their leadership is Not only desperate. And they're desperate because of this. This is their last stand. If there's any further. collapse in the economy, which comes by way of Murder.

uh you know, being punished, if you will, further. they're gone, and they know that.

So they will stop at absolutely nothing. Yeah. Basically, it hurt the West, hurt America. You know, look, this is a country. Everyone has said this, but no one it's like it doesn't penetrate the souls of the people who are out there critic criticizing the President.

They chant death to America as a regular part of their national ritual. We don't chant death to Iran, most Americans are happy to live in peace. Iran is not. And I mean, that is a big that's sort of a big tell, right? That's who they are.

And I don't mean the Iranian people. They don't want this regime any more than anybody else does. By the way, the Gulf Arab nations are thrilled to have Iran comes under bombardment from the United States and Israel. They're scared of these people. These are reckless, ruthless.

Mollers. And the more we can do To degrade their ability to fight, the better. And honestly, anyone who denies that, I think they're crazy. Yeah, no, a thousand percent right. All right, I'm not as grumpy.

Thanks, Liz. All good. I'm glad to hear that. We don't want a grumpy cot on our hands. No, that's never good for anybody.

All right, LizPeak. LizPeak.com, by the way, go and read all of Liz's great columns and great work. Thanks, Liz. Thank you so much for having me. Take care.

All right. Well, this segment of the Todd Stern Show is brought to you by our friends at Newsmax. And Newsmax has run a study. They found that 70% of Americans are not getting the full benefits they deserve. They've got a solution for that, though.

Well, I was. What did they call it? Doom scrolling last night, Tylen. Is that what it is? Did I get the terminology right?

Is this where you're scrolling on your phone watching videos until late, late? Yes. Yeah. That's doom scrolling. Yeah, I mean, I was all prepared.

I had my, I really thought we were going to be nuking Iran last night.

So I had all my essentials there. I had gone to, I had to go to Kroger. I got my six-pack of Dr. Pepper. And by the way, since I'm on a diet, I'm doing the mini Dr.

Peppers, you know, the small ones. That's nice. Yeah, so I drink three of them, but you know, they're smaller.

So, you know, then I have my Orville Redenbacher. Which was You know, delicious, ready to go. And I'm sitting there, and then I get the alert, and I'm like, well, what am I going to do now? Yeah. So anyway, I'm doom strolling last night.

On the Instagram. And I came across a story. I love all about air travel. My grandfather, your great-grandfather, ran the tower at Memphis International Airport. And we have all of our great uncles and great great, your great great uncles were all in the Air Force and flew in the wars.

And so we had this great storied aviation background in our family. Our great uncle Gene, your great-great-uncle Gene, Dylan, actually was the very first test pilot for the Boeing 747s. Really cool, actually. It's it's it uh it's unfortunate that I hate flying. I that gene did not pass down to me.

No, Uncle Gene's gene. Yeah, none of it did not pass down. He was the private pilot for um uh Aristotle Onassus. And the king of Jordan. The Sultan of Brunei.

That sounds cool. I don't really know who those people are, but it sounds really cool. From 1953 to 1970, United Airlines operated a daily flight called the Executive between New York and Chicago and then between Los Angeles and San Francisco. It was marketed as a club in the sky for men only. Women could not buy a ticket, children were not allowed on board, the only women permitted were the stewardesses.

Passengers got first-class seats. Are you ready for this steak dinners? Unlimited cocktails. Complimentary cigars, slippers. and closing stock market quotes delivered by Teletype.

Uh This is brilliant. When they landed, the passengers got either a glass ashtray with an airplane on it or a set of cufflinks with a built-in watch. When asked about it in 1954, a United Airlines spokesperson said, What we give men is an opportunity to get away from women. Yeah. Okay.

We don't regard it as segregation, we regard it as a little luxury. Oh, jeez.

So this thing, it ran 17 years. It was 90% occupancy. Men were falling all over themselves to get on board these flights. But they had to stop in the 1960s when the women, you know, the whole women's lib thing and women pitched a hissy fit. And the next thing you know, you got all these screaming kids on the planes.

Right. The women. Yeah. They can just, you know, they do their own, do their own version. Oh, no male flight attendants either.

Yeah. They had to be and by the way, they weighed all the flight attendants. Oh, my God.

So they had to be of a certain look and curvature.

Okay. If you will. Boys Club. And of course, now most airlines look like Grey Humpa stations. You know, Dylan, we were a proper nation once.

No comic.

Well said. 901-260-5926. Our number. I wonder if any of our listeners were on these all-mail flights. That's what I want to know.

All right. Hang tight, everybody. Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's America's conservative blowtorch. That's right. I love this American.

Time. Star. All right. Hello, everybody. Welcome to the Todd Stearns Radio Program.

What an honor to have you with us today. 901-260-5926. is our telephone number that's 901-260-5926. Overton High School. This is John Overton High School in Nashville, Tennessee.

Sort of the buckle of the Bible belt. I think the the Southern Baptists have their headquarters there. And so do one of the Methodist groups. I don't know which one is the heathen group. Is that the United Methodist?

Okay, the Global Methodist.

Somebody's got their their Methodist headquarters there. I th I th there are a couple of other denominations.

So, anyway, they got a lot of Christians there in the the Nashville area. Very religious area. Buckle of the Bible belt A Nashville high school, Overton High School, has now fully embraced the Islamic holidays. By the way, Overton High School a taxpayer funded public school. The scroll provides a food-free zone during lunchtime for Muslim students who are fasting.

The Muslim kids also have reserved space on campus to pray. Muslim students are also provided electronic hall passes so they can leave class for fifteen minutes. to pray. You know, Dylan, let me stop here for a moment. You know, if I'm in high school.

and I find out I can get an electronic call pass to get out of class fifteen minutes early, I'm like, Asalaam Malayka, baby. That's what I'm saying. I don't blame you. Just don't blow me upward. Making a point here, please.

Just. Continuing here, teachers also decorate their rooms with Muslim holiday decor. And the scroll even changed its entire Bell signal to work around Muslim students being able to pray. I guess what happened was, you know, they ring the bell. It's like you have a tardy bell or whatever.

And if the kids are praying, that bell would interrupt the kids.

So, what they've decided to do is they're just reworking the entire bell signal system to accommodate the Muslim kids. Oh, but let's talk about the cafeteria. Decorated in gold and blue, proclaiming Ramadan Mubarak and Ramadan Karim Abdul Jabbar. No, different guy.

Sorry. The entire cafeteria was decked out in stars and moons and lanterns and string lights. It looked like a Muslim wonderland. And the Nashville Banner did a big story about all of this. And they interviewed, they apparently have hired a lot of Muslim teachers.

And they have like 80 or 90 Muslim students. And so the whole point of the article was really a love fest. About how accommodating this public school has now become. to the Islamic children. And it was, I mean, it's really a fascinating read.

As a matter of fact, The headline of the piece in the national banner: During Ramadan, Muslim students find peace, discipline, and community. I want you to read the. I want you to listen as I do a dramatic reading. These are the actual words of the writer here. This is a news story.

It was a Wednesday morning. Part way through the month of Ramadan, and many of John Overton High School's Muslim students have been awake since four thirty AM. These students have been fasting every day for more than a week and woke up in time for. Suhor The last chance to eat and drink before the sunrises some chose Foods that are hydrating, like watermelon or cucumber. Oh, wait a second, wait a second, watermelon?

Careful now. After breakfast it was time for the first of five prayers of the day. Many students prayed together with their families a chance to be together and share a spiritual connection before parting ways for school or work. And it goes on and on. I mean, it's just.

I mean, it's just really that just sort of a gripping theme. And they interview the students, and they're taking you through what it feels like not to eat food. They talk about the students reading the Quran from front to back during Ramadan in their classes. They say the Quran is like a way of life, and their manual for life. An instruction.

And yes, that's why we're concerned.

Well, that's my my in Commentary, they're not theirs.

So anyway, it goes on and on and on, and they talk about how the the students wear hijabs and so do their teachers. And the students are saying that the school needs to do more, that now the school needs to start teaching about the history of Islam and addressing Islamophobia in the curriculum. They also believe that teachers should begin lectures about Muslim holidays and what Ramadan is, and why some students are fasting. One of the Muslim students said, I think teachers should just address it.

So that they so that we feel like we're being heard. One Muslim teacher said that her classroom is decorated. One wall covered with photos she's taken with her students, and another drawings. There's a map of Kurdistan above her desk, and a box of prayer mats. in the corner that students often borrow to pray at school.

She also has a string has string lights. Yet a student settled in for third period, the overhead lights were on, and she said she keeps all the lights on during Ramadan because the students might fall asleep. I want to get down to this. Oh, the Muslim teacher says her classroom is a big hangout. Students crowd around her desk and play games, laughing and snapping at each other playfully.

Barari is one of ten teachers that's her name the Muslim teacher who signed up to offer her classroom as a food-free zone during lunchtime. The school's director of activities created a sign-up sheet for teachers so that students who are fasting would not have to sit in the cafeteria and watch their peers eat. It's one of several accommodations. Arranged by the administration for Muslim students, the school reserves space on campus for kids to pray in the afternoon. They also created sign-up sheets for students to receive the electronic hall passes.

Granting them permission to leave class for fifteen minutes to pray more than eighty kids signed up. The Muslim teacher said witnessing the accommodations as a full circle moment, she recalls growing up in a public school in Nashville with a smaller Muslim population and hiding the fact she was fasting. Quote: This school makes it such a point to make it known that it's Ramadan. What school do you know that actually changes their whole bell schedule to work around students being able to go pray? I don't think the kids really even understand how important that is or see that, like, wow, my school's doing this for me.

Another school staffer, Al-Nadir Muhammad, is in charge of overseeing daily prayer. He's a member of the school support staff. This is again a diverse faculty, an important piece of helping students feel safe and welcome. Muslim faculty members often advocate for student needs to the administration. This is all happening in a public school in Nashville, Tennessee.

in the middle of the Bible belt. And my question for the school Okay, what are you guys doing to accommodate the Christian students? Are they decorating the Caffa Gymnatorium with Christmas decorations? Is there a nativity scene anywhere on campus? Are they allowing Christian students to leave class to go and pray or have a Bible study?

are teachers decorating their classes. With various Christmas decorations or Easter decorations. Are Gideons allowed on campus to distribute copies of the Bible? And the answer to that question is no, they are not. And we went through and looked at a lot of the social media feeds of the school.

Nothing about Christmas decorations. Nothing, nothing at all. And again, it makes you wonder why it is that they are embracing the Muslim faith with such gusto at this public school while at the same time, They're completely ignoring students of the Jewish and the Christian faiths, and predominantly students of the Christian faith.

So anyway, I decided to check out their calendars. And it turns out that on the official school calendar at John Overton High School in Nashville, Christmas is actually called. Winter break. You notice they call the Muslim holidays what those holidays are. whatever they are.

But when it comes to the Christian holidays, they're completely erased. It's like they don't matter anymore. And I remember for years, there was an effort, and you guys, I covered this on the show for many years. We talked about the effort to purge Christianity from our public schools, where kids, you know, back when we were growing up, there used to be, I don't know if you guys remember this, but we used to have a prayer over the intercom system to start our day. And then we would stand up and we would pledge allegiance to the flag.

And of course, the prayer became a moment of silence, and then it just completely went away. Most kids don't even Stand up for the Pledge of Allegiance is all entirely optional. I mean, back in the day, you weren't standing up praying to Jesus.

Somebody was whacking you upside your backside. That's the way it was. But now here, ladies and gentlemen, Nashville, Tennessee, The symbolism it's really hard to ignore. That not only, and you heard this from the students as I read their quotes from the Nashville Banner piece. The message from the students is it's not good enough.

It's not good enough. They want full and complete control. That's what's going on here. Our telephone number, 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926.

This, ladies and gentlemen, happening in the Southern States. You wonder what's happening in other areas of the country. And if this is happening in perhaps smaller towns as well. All right, we're going to take a break. We're going to your calls.

You got a problem with this? 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show. Uh All right, in Texas, by the way, and someone sent me this over the break: Wiley East High School, this is in North Texas. The students there were provided Qurans and hijabs on campus.

So the the Muslims were invited onto campus and the clerics were were handing out the Qurans and I guess putting putting the young girls in the hijabs. And a lot of parents are like, wait, wait, wait a second. What's going on here? Because not even the Gideons are allowed on campus anymore. The Gideons, back when I was a kid, the Gideons came into your classroom and they gave all of us heathen little kids, you know, Bibles because we needed them, because we were godless heathens.

We were urchins. Let's go to the phone lines: 901-260-5926, Cindy. In New York. Hi, Cindy. What's on your minds?

Hi, Tad. I just wanted to let you know what life was like back when I was a kid. Like, One time ago. On Friday afternoons, like right before lunch or lunchtime, Every kid was allowed to go to their church of choice in town.

So some of us would go to the Catholic school, some would go to the Methodist school, and you know, blah, blah, blah, every church in town. And then the ones that didn't want to partake. stayed back. in the classroom at the A V Center. Audio visual.

Yeah. Back then, that was cost. Oh, wow. Yeah, I remember the A V Club. And this thing has got to be nipped in the bud, and that's all I got to say.

So Thanks for taking my call.

Well, Cindy, no, I appreciate that.

Now, what part of Western New York are you from? Uh the finger lake. Oh, that's a beautiful area. Yeah. Yes.

You know, I just remember as a kid, I grew up, I was in a grade school, like in the 1970s, in the early and mid-70s, in grade school. And, you know, I mean, the faith, the faith was sort of woven in. But when we moved to, my dad got transferred to Louisiana, which is a predominantly Catholic culture. And I remember on Fridays, for example, we went to public school and we had to have fish on Fridays, you know, because most of the kids are Catholic and so they can't eat meat for whatever reason. And so, anyway, you know, you just kind of roll with the flow, you kind of go with it.

But. This is what's going to happen here. Is you're going to have a lot of schools that are suddenly going to become Muslim majority, and there will be no tolerance for anybody's religion. And that is what I'm afraid of, Todd. That was my point.

So thank you for taking my call. Cindy, thank you for calling in and thank you for listening. And say hello to all of our friends in New York. Let's go to Georgia, Tim on the line. Hi, Tim.

What's on your mind? Hey, Todd, how are you doing, buddies? Good, good, good.

So I want to know when the ACLU is going to get involved about the freedom from religion. uh the protest over these public schools and religion uh being integrated into the schools. Is this Uh this should be on CNN and MSNBC and I mean, you can't have this. You can't have a legend mixed with school, can you? Remember, there was years ago, there was a teacher, I believe it was somewhere in Iowa, and the administration cracked down on candy canes and told the teachers that they could not give the kids candy canes because the J shape stood for Jesus.

And they were banned. Anything that could be construed as religious was completely banned from the school. It was Nebraska. Yep. I'm waiting for the ACLU to start the lawsuit.

against these schools for for this religion. Uh getting into schools, and they should be uh nationwide protests about religion in schools. I'm sure you get the irony. I don't. I think it's a great idea.

I'm following you, Tim. You're an ironic man today, but I get that. Yeah, it's a great point. You know, because if this was Christians, if this was the First Baptist Church of Nashville going in and doing all of this, you better believe there would be nationwide protest. Yep, just like you were saying, they changed the calendar to winter holidays.

Soon, I mean, they're going to have these on every calendar. Uh so I'm not really sure there's a big difference. Uh if if it's good for us, it's it should be good for everyone.

Well, well said, Tim, thank you for that call. You know, they tried to pull that nonsense over here in uh in uh the the the town that I live in, one of the suburbs of Memphis. And I had to go down, Dylan. I had to go back. I had to go down to the school board as a citizen.

and and make my case before the school board. Yes. Ugh. Yeah, terrible. I don't get it.

And you would have been proud of me. I was very respectful as a Baptist. I went up there. I said, hello, thank you, members of the board. I'm Todd Starn.

You have to give your address. I'm Todd Starnes. What the hell is wrong with you, godless heathen jackasses? Mm-hmm. Bless your heart.

I got a little testy, but.

Sometimes you have to. But they changed. They decided to reinstate Good Friday. Thanks to Todd Starnes. You know what?

I do it. I do what I can. I'm a humble man. I'm a humble man. I just try to do it.

I got put on a prayer list. You got a potty mouth? I do. I'm in a bad mood today. I forgot about that.

I'm in a bad mood. It's hump day, Todd. Come on. Yeah, I'm telling you. Spirits up.

I was just on the edge of my couch yesterday. I had my Dr. Peppers. I had my. I had my radiation tablets.

I had my iodine. I was ready to go. All you were missing is a bunker. I had a hazbat suit. I was kind of screwed on the on the trample though because you know the Cadillac is new so that's going to get wiped out by the EMP.

I got it. I need the old car I had back in high school, the El Camino. That's the only way you're gonna be able to tramble if they uh you know detonate an EMP. I had it all worked out last night. In a bad mood.

All right, hang tight, everybody. Got to take a quick break. 901260-5926 is our number. That's 901260-5926. This is the Todd Stark Show.

Oh, by the way, Della, this is exciting news. Coca-Cola going all out for America's 250. They are They're going to be releasing collectible mini cans. For, like, I guess, you know, we were talking about the many Dr. Peppers.

Yeah, yeah. So if you're on a diet, you have to drink three of them, you know, but you know, they're sweet. Yeah, exactly. But anything, geez. What's on these cans, Doc?

Well, they're America.

So they got the whole America 250 packaging, and each one's going to have a unique design for each of the 50 states. That's really cool. They're going to throw in Puerto Rico, too. I'll have to get back into Coke, I guess. And D.C.

Here's the thing, though. Are they going to go back? I mean, to make it really a fun America 250 celebration, should they not just go ahead and put cocaine back into the original recipe? For tradition's sake? Right?

I mean, exactly. I mean, if you're going to go there, you got to go there. I'm just saying. All right, real quick, let's go to the phone lines. Don in Memphis, Tennessee, listening to us on KWAM.

Don, what's going on? It's your Uncle Don, Todd. Oh, Uncle Don, buddy. Uncle Don. Uncle Don tried to sneak in incommunicado tonight.

Wow.

You got me, Uncle Don. How are things in West Memphis? Everything is jolly in West Memphis. But, Todd, I've been listening to you. I don't get to listen to you as much as I'd like to, but you mentioned being humble, and that forced me to call to tell all of Memphis and all of your radio listening audience all across America what a privilege they have in having you here in Memphis, Tennessee, taking care of Kay Wham and speaking the truth every single day.

It's wonderful, Todd. It is really wonderful. And I say that for no other reason than that it's true.

Well, I appreciate that, Uncle Don. That means a lot. Everybody doing well across the river. Aunt Sarah doing good. And Sarah's doing great.

We're getting ready to put the garden into the ground. We're ready to start for the season. And uh Just wanted to touch base with you. I also have to say, if there's one thing more crazy. than a Democrat.

It's it's these mullahs and The President is totally right to have no trust in anything they say, and if he's going to take them out, he should take them out. Yeah, I'm with you on that, Uncle Don. There's no messing around at all on that. All right, got any big plans for the summertime? Other than have a good time.

No, I'm just grateful. Hey, bud. At my age, I'm grateful to be here and grateful to be able to get around. You know what I'm saying? I know what you're saying.

You know what? We're going to have to get you in studio, Uncle Don, so we can talk about your. You know, back in the day, you were a part of a very popular band in the Memphis era. That's right. And I enjoyed every bit of it.

And, you know, that's one of the few things I can say I miss doing since I'm so much pork. I'm such a ham. I really regret being able to get up more. In front of the public and embarrass myself, and I used to be.

Well, we had Ted Nugent on the show a couple, I think, last week, and I thought about you during that interview. I'm kind of very kind, brother. All right. Have a great day, and I sure appreciate you.

Well, thanks, Uncle Don. Tell Aunt Sarah to save me some of those canned pickles. I love those things. Hey, you also need pie, brother. You need pie.

That would alter your outlook greatly. I'll do that too. All right. Thanks, Uncle Don. Wow.

I love that. Let's bring in Adam Martin and Chris Loftus, our buddies from Strategic Financial Partners. I just feel like I was just, you know, catching up with the family here. Hey, that's the great thing about Memphis. It's the biggest small town you'll ever live in.

No, it is.

So it's a weird story, but my grandfather ran the tower at Memphis Airport, which is what brought our family to Memphis. I mean, back in the 1930s, I think. And so my mom's dad, so my other grandfather, they worked together in the tower, and they hated each other. And so my dad was in a band with my mom's older brother. And that's how they got to know each other, you know, through rock and roll.

And dad was a studio musician here in the Memphis area. And then Uncle Don married my mom's sister and they had their own band.

So kind of a musical family. Funny enough, I had a great grandmother. They worked in the Memphis International Airport gift shop.

So is that right? A little bit slightly different job titles there, but you never know. They might have run into each other in the break room. You never know. You never.

I mean, seriously, you never know. As a matter of fact, we were at a book signing. We did a book signing at Germantown Baptist Church, and a guy came up to me, and he must have been, I guess, 90 or something. He was on up there. He said I worked with your grandfather at the tower and brought me some photographs of my grandfather.

He had to retire super early because he had a bad heart. But it was kind of nice to see Paw Paw back in his natural habitat there. Very cool. Guys, y'all doing good? I'm just talking family here.

I love it. No, we're doing great. The weather's beautiful. Life's good.

Well, Todd, I learned something last week talking about Memphis. Did you know that Memphis is the top city in the country for active practicing anesthesiologists? And I say that because I needed them last week. I was out with the sniffles and allergies and everything the good Lord could throw at me. And praise God that I'm here.

But man, I was laid up for a couple of days. It was tough.

So you're doing good? Doing good. I'm on the claritin and everything else that you could take for all that pollen. Healthy as a whore. Healthy.

Yes. Not contagious. Not contagious. Jack. No, no.

You look good. Just a non-functioning nose. I love it. All right, gentlemen, we love it. Every Wednesday, you guys come and visit and take our questions.

And if you have a question for our great financial advisors, and that number, by the way, if you want to call in, 901-260-5926, that's 901-260-5926. If you want to ask your question on air or if you don't want to go on the air, we'll get your information and we'll have the guys reach out to you. But, fellas, today we're talking about something called. Blended investment strategy. What exactly is that?

A blended investment strategy is basically where we are not going to just go all in on one thing. We are going to sprinkle in a few different products or we call them tools that can accomplish what you are trying to reach as far as your goals go.

So, what does that mean? That means we are not going to just put all of our money in the stock market or the bond market. We may do a little bit in the stock market, but then we also institute like a fixed indexed annuity that allows us to have a protection on the downside, but with some upside participation. And then, maybe for the legacy piece, we incorporate some life insurance for a tax-free death benefit.

So, is that sort of like diversifying your portfolio? Is that similar, word, or lingo or simple? It's very similar. But it's not just in the traditional sense of we have a combination of some equity securities and some debt securities like stocks and bonds. This is where we actually take another type of vehicle, like an annuity, a fixed-index annuity, or a variable annuity, and we incorporate that with the the stocks and bonds that you're invested in.

Chris, it seems like, especially when it comes to retirement playing, and we've got a pretty large audience and a lot of folks looking at retirement, it's not as easy as it was back in the day. It's a bit more complicated. It's a little bit more complicated. I got to say, Todd, I'm a little angry right now. And I've told Adam before we walked in because I was looking at some numbers this morning about the practical application of this, and you're right, it's not as easy.

Would you care to guess? the percentage of Gen X, not Gen Z, not millennials, Gen X. How many of them are actually applying a blended strategy or just diversifying investments in general? What would you have to guess that number? Oh, geez, Lord, that's my generation, guys.

I know. That's why I'm saying it. Man, maybe I would say it's got to be at least 65, 70%. Todd, it's 34%, only 34% of Gen X, only 34% is even thinking about doing a diversified or blended strategy when it comes to their investments. They're just going in on one thing at all, and that's if they're investing, period.

And that's not even talking about the millennials and Gen Z, where they're more worried about managing their debt. And guess what? Those numbers aren't so good for all across the board for generations in general. But you're right. The application is very difficult.

And that's where guys like Adam and I see a big divide where we need to come in and be able to be that, I don't know, the great leveler, if you will, to be able to say, hey, here we are. Use us, utilize us the way we need to be utilized. That way you're not going around lost in the dark. When you guys are talking to folks, are you getting any inclination as to why that is? Especially like Gen X.

And I think our generation, we were like, we were the latchkey kids. We were so self-sufficient and we were raised up to be that way. And I'm wondering if that would have anything to do with it. I think if we had to go and look for why that statistic is so low, I think we could relate that a lot to. People are good at the one thing that they know how to do.

They go to work every single day. They punch in the clock. They do their job and they go home. They want to be there for family. And we always had conversations around if you have an ailment, go talk to your doctor.

If you have a toothache, go talk to your dentist. But no one ever really brought in if you have any financially related problems, go talk to a financial advisor. And I think that's just as important as having a primary health care. Honestly, I can tell you, just within our family growing up, that was something that the rich people did. That's exactly right.

That's it.

And I would never have thought, you know, but you're telling me that it doesn't matter how much money you have, you need to have somebody who's an expert. And it's not just about rates of return. We talk about how do we mitigate our downside. And that's why this blended strategy could be a really good strategy for somebody who has worked for 40 years, they've stacked money into a 401k. Having a conversation with an advisor, just ask this one question.

What am I exposed to? And we will tell you, it's like, well, all your money is invested in the market. How would you feel if two years before you're ready to retire or right after you retire, there's a 20% correction in the market? How would that make you feel? And let me tell you something.

There are people back in the early 2000s, like around 2008, who discovered that in real time. And one of them was my uncle, who lived in Atlanta and worked for the same company for 30, 40 years. Their entire retirement plan was built into the stocks. And it was really tough.

Well, Todd, your question ultimately goes back to, hey, what do we see on a regular basis? And I'll tell you something that we see. It's overanalysis can lead to paralysis. What does that mean? That means that it has never been easier to get your hands on all this information about the stock market or all these different vehicles or all this different financial advice from internet gurus, call it what you will.

But the reality is, is that your job as just an everyday, hardworking American citizen is not to be in the know 24-7 about everything financially related. It's impossible. That's why we have CPAs. That's why we have investment specialists. That's why we have insurance specialists and guys like Adam and I, where we come from a team of experienced professionals.

They're able to look at every little thing that comes down. to your big picture and It's hard. It's hard. And that's why people are missing the bus on this. But we see these numbers and we see, hey, okay, there's something going on here that people just don't realize because they're pushing it off and they're pushing it off.

And the last thing that we want to happen is they wake up one day and they realize it's too late. Adam Martin and Chris Loftus joining us from Strategic Financial Partners, their website, strategicfinancialpartners.com. And if you've got a quick question, you want to ask them a question about retirement or blended investment strategy, give us a call, 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. Guys, let's talk about the different investment pieces that are at play here.

What does that look like?

So, you know, kind of going back to what's changed over the course of many years, and one thing that we see very commonly now is that pensions are a thing of the past. And how does a blended strategy solve something like that?

Well, We can have a growth aspect of the portion of your money, so we're still growing it actively in the stock market. But then we take another portion of it and maybe we put it into an income-driven annuity so that we can guarantee what your income streams look like in retirement.

So that allows you to still participate and get a competitive rate of return and outpace things like inflation, but allow you the peace of mind to know that, hey, part of my investments is going to replace an income that I'm going to need in retirement. Any particular percentages you would recommend if you're putting you got all your buckets out there, should they be evenly divided?

So, I mean, there's the old three-legged stool method that we usually talk about. We like to put analogies to a lot of things that we do, but think about the legs of a stool. You know, we want to, if you want to use percentages, 30% or 33%. You know, 33% could be a stock market component, 33% could be an indexed annuity, and the other 33% could be a life insurance policy that could be your legacy play. Ultimately, Todd, you look at it from a position of everything has a job that it's supposed to do.

Well, what are a lot of people that we see doing currently?

Well, they're letting this cash accumulate and just build up and build up and build up over time in these bank accounts. That is doing little, if anything, for their overall financial plan. That's not doing your job, ultimately, for your financial plan. Our goal with this three-legged stool strategy is to assign these things with intentional goals of saying, hey, this goes to growth. This goes to legacy.

This goes to protection. This is me covering my rear end so that when the storm comes, and guess what, Todd, it will come at some point, we're going to have a policy in our back pocket for that day to take care of us, not just us, but the ones we love, our family, and basically our household. See, that's a great way of looking at it. All right, we've got a ramp here, guys, but when you're looking at this blended investment strategy, who is best suited for something like that? It's typically the people that are five to ten years out from retirement or already in retirement, and they just want to add a layer of protection to what they've worked hard to accumulate.

But they don't really just want to take all their money out of the market. They still want to be able to competitively grow it, but add a layer of protection.

So that's typically their... That would be Gen Xers right now. You know, they have to start thinking about that. Absolutely. But you know, Todd, millennials are knocking on the door.

They're right behind there. You've only got about 51% of millennials in general who are even saving actively for retirement. That's a whole half of a generation that they're not even thinking about it, let alone doing anything about it. It's shocking to me. And then when you, I mean, many of them don't even, I'd be curious to look at the numbers, and I'm sure somebody's run the numbers.

How many people in the millennial generation actually own homes? You know, they've got savings accounts. I think people are going to be. Shocked when they see those numbers. And then you've got the Gen Zers.

And another thing I'll say is it's not just a, hey, I need to panic and call somebody and get everything put together right now. This is built over the course of some years. I mean, for those millennials and the Gen Zers, now's a good time to be thinking about your insurance piece because it's based on attained age and insurability. You're not going to get any younger than you are right now.

So we can add that. You know, leg of the stool today, and then as you're building these assets, be thinking about a blended strategy. I'll tell you, when just from my personal experience, you know, when I left Fox, I left behind my insurance, you know, the company insurance, which was fully covered when I had to have the open heart surgery and all of that kind of stuff. Try going out there and getting a new policy when you have something like that, you know, on your health resume.

So, so it's you're absolutely right. It's so important to be prepared. And that's also, again, as much as you're a Gen Xer or maybe you're a boomer and you're listening, you've got kids and grandkids, and they already are in the workforce and they're in college, and they need to be start, they need to start thinking about these things and being strategic, which is why our friends at Strategic Financial Partners are so vitally important.
