Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's common sense conservative commentary from Todd Starn. Bye. I know. Love this American. And hello.
America, I am your host, Todd Stearns, the voice of hope and truth across this great nation. Welcome, everyone. Trust you are doing well. And we are on a slamming news day: a border to border, coast to coast, across the fruited plain. Want to welcome all of our great affiliate radio stations and some exciting news.
Next week, we are launching the show in Fredericksburg, Virginia, also in Lexington, Kentucky.
So we're very excited about our news stations coming on board. I want you to write down our telephone number. You will need this: 901-260-5926. Again, that's 901-260-5926. 2-6.
Well, we've got a lot of breaking news to share with you, and right out of the gate, coming out of Minnesota, where we understand Attorney General Pam Bondi now announcing at least two people have been arrested in connection with that crazy church attack last Sunday. The violent mob led by none other than ex-CNN host Don Lemon and others, around 30 people, storming into that Baptist church.
So the good news is that. Looks like justice is being done there. And so we'll get into more of that a little bit later on. But closer to home I I saw a fascinating headline in the New York Times, and very rarely do they have anything nice to say about Red States. But this story in particular caught my attention.
How Mississippi transformed its schools from worst to best. Since 2013, Mississippi has skyrocketed on national tests, while blue states are falling behind.
So, what are they doing? And it's a great question. And, ladies and gentlemen, I believe our next guest will be able to deliver the answer to that. We're honored to have the governor of the great state of Mississippi, Governor Tate Reeves, joining us. Governor, what an honor!
Well, good morning, Todd. It's great to be on with you today.
Well, first of all, congratulations are in order. I will say this, this is education's been a big topic on this program. And I really do believe, Governor, that if we're going to change the direction of our country, we're going to have to fix what's broken in our schools. And it looks like you guys have done it there in Mississippi.
Well, we've had a lot of success, and I think that we have a blueprint. That other states are beginning to copy, particularly other red states. And I'm hopeful that as you see, even some, what I would Term national Democrats are beginning to take notice of what's happening here. But the bottom line is conservative reform works. Conservative governance works And it even works in public education, and that is the lesson to be learned from what the New York Times called the Mississippi Miracle.
Were you surprised that usually when the New York Times calls, it's not good news, Governor. I don't know if you know that. But I thought they did a really nice job writing about what you guys are up to. No, they they did. I mean, you know, the the the New York Times Actually, coined the phrase the Mississippi miracle.
And I use that phrase regularly because it gets people's attention, particularly nationally. But what you and I know is it really wasn't a miracle at all. It was the result of good, strong, conservative public policy being enacted by our state legislature back in twenty twelve and twenty thirteen. I happened to be President of the Senate and Lieutenant Governor at the time. But it was good conservative policy that we enacted.
And then in the implementation phase, where our Department of Education, led by then Superintendent doctor Carrie Wright, did a fantastic job implementing those policies. And the beautiful thing about the outcome is These reforms aren't just helping some of our kids. in some of our school districts. They're helping all of our kids in all of our school districts. And so when you look at as an example, when you look at the performance of our African American fourth graders, back ten years ago, when their reading results in the fourth grade were compared to their to other black children around the country, Mississippi's scored forty fifth best.
Well last year Our black fourth graders scored third best in America. Hispanic students, number one in the nation in Mississippi when compared to their peers on fourth grade reading. Number two in the nation on fourth grade math. Economically disadvantaged students, number one in America. The best place to get an education in all of America for a kid that comes from an economically disadvantaged home is right here in Mississippi.
And I think it's a great credit to good policy, but also a lot of teachers and just really working very, very hard. I love this line from the New York Times piece. Mississippi has emerged as one of the best places in the country for a poor child to get an education. You know, there's something there when a kid is able to read. And to get an education, then they have the tools they need, Governor, to succeed in life, to claim their American dream.
Well, that's exactly right. And really, that's what policymakers should do. Yeah. Focused on, and that should be the goal of policymakers in every state: is how do we give individuals upward mobility? How do we give them opportunity for success?
Because the best way for someone who, like my own dad, grew up without a whole lot but they were raised in a in a family that loved them and and ensured that um they went to school and that they got an education. Uh that's the best way out of poverty in in all of America. And and um and and we say this a lot, and and I absolutely mean it. We we still have challenges in our state, but there are not many challenges In our state or any other state, that everyone having, number one, the skills that they need, and number two, the opportunity. To get a job that pays $60,000 or $70,000, $80,000 a year, if everybody in our state has those two things, Most likely, all the other challenges tend to take care of themselves in those individuals' lives.
And so, again, I think it's, I don't think government does very many things very well. And I think government does a lot of things they ought not be doing, but clearly educating our children and giving them an opportunity for success and make for a better life and so that they can take care of themselves and take care of their families in the future. That's a huge goal, and we're seeing it happen right here in Mississippi. You know, when I was a little fellow, my parents moved us across the state line from Memphis, and I was educated in DeSoto County. I'm a proud alumni of Hope P.
Sullivan Elementary School. And I remember back in the day, those teachers were just so committed to making sure that all of us knew our ABCs, we knew how to add and subtract and multiply. And it's exciting to see schools. Across the state, embracing a lot of things that maybe were just shoved aside in years past for other new techniques.
So, really, what is old actually still works just fine.
Well, that's exactly right. And where you were in DeSoto County schools, where I went to school in the Reikin County public school system, which is a suburb of our capital city, two of the best public school systems in all of Mississippi, because I grew up there, I never really believed what everyone said is that Mississippi had the worst educational system in America, and they said that for years and years. I never believed it because that was not my experience, but they certainly had data to point to where Mississippi was ranked 48th or 49th or 50th in a lot of different categories. And that's just simply not true anymore. Mississippi is a top fifteen state overall for education, top ten in Fourth grade reading and math, high school graduation rates up has risen by almost 17 percentage points to 89.9 percent of our kids graduated high school last year.
And by the way, Todd, what we know is when you have an educated populous in an educated workforce. Economic development comes and more jobs come. And because of all these improvements in our educational results, Mississippi had the second fastest growing economy in the entire United States, both in 2024 and in our fiscal year, which ended June 30th of 2025.
So a lot of good things happening here, and a lot of companies from all over the world looking to locate here. Governor, real quick here, and there are a couple of other issues I want to touch on, but I'm wondering if other states are reaching out or other cities. I know Memphis, which shares a border with Mississippi, the kids, over 70% of the kids are not at grade reading level. I mean, the public schools are a disaster. Are you guys having other districts reaching out and asking for guidance, for some help?
Yes, we are. It's actually been very refreshing. We joke amongst Republican governors that if one of us has a good idea, we sure don't mind stealing other Republican governors' good ideas, and this is no exception to that. I've had the opportunity to do that with some of my friends in Tennessee and Arkansas and and Governor Landry in Louisiana, and they're doing the same thing. They're looking at what laws do we enact in twenty twelve and twenty thirteen that have made such a huge difference, and they're now enacting them in their state as well.
And so I think that's a a very positive outcome. And now, because of the huge success that we've had, because there's been so much national publicity around it, a lot of states are asking either our legislative leaders to testify before their legislative bodies or calling our calling our educational um Leadership, and it's just it's really an outstanding thing. But in America, we have not done well compared to our peers around the globe for the last twenty years in education. There's a lot of reasons why the teachers' unions and all of these entities that are so focused on themselves and not focused on doing what's best for kids is a big reason why. But we've got to get that turned around in our country if we're going to come To be a global superpower, and certainly, I think.
President Trump understands that, and Secretary McMahon are working extremely hard to get us as a country turned around and see our results nationally mirror the tremendous results that we've seen in Mississippi. Governor Tate Reeves of the great state of Mississippi, the Magnolia state, joining us on our Patriot Mobile newsmaker line. A couple of other issues real quick, Governor. Let's talk about what's happening in Minnesota. I know that you guys have really been hit hard by illegal immigration as well, but the idea now that you've got people marching into churches and thinking they can disrupt church services on a Sunday morning, sir.
Absolutely appalling. It is mind-boggling to me to see what's happening in Minneapolis. I think it's a direct reflection on very poor leadership by the mayor and the governor there. I appreciate that the Attorney General Pam Bondi, I think she announced earlier today that there have been a couple of arrests made in that particular incidence, and I appreciate that.
Okay. It should be universally agreed all across America that people should be able to get up and go to the church of their choice on Sunday morning and feel and know that they can feel safe there. And for things like this to happen in Minneapolis, it's just horrible. One final note, Governor, we sure do appreciate your time. About 100 million Americans are under a winter storm watch, including those of us in the Memphis area and across much of North Mississippi.
And I'm telling you, we're not used to this. People are putting out dry rub, hoping that's going to stave off the ice. How are you guys preparing for the storm? And what advice do you give all of our listeners in the state?
Well, pay very close attention to the weather this weekend. We are doing meetings and calls with all of our state leadership every four hours. We did one at 9 a.m. this morning. The next one will be at 1 p.m.
this afternoon. Then we'll do another one Hours later. Unfortunately, or fortunately, we have a lot of experience with natural disasters here in our state. We've got an incredible team, but the most important message that I can tell your listeners, particularly in North Mississippi and in Memphis, but really throughout the region because this is going to be a huge storm. We don't know exactly where it's going to land.
We don't know exactly how much ice and snow we're going to get. But It doesn't take a lot of ice accumulation on power lines that are above the ground. for power to be for power to go out. And so everyone needs to be prepared For the potential of losing power, particularly right now, north of Highway eighty two in Mississippi, up through where you are in Memphis and even further north. But be prepared for the potential for power to go out for long periods of time.
We're working with the utility companies. They are preparing. We will get that power back on as soon as possible. But there is certainly a realistic chance that we're going to have a lot of our citizens lose power over the weekend.
Well, it's going to be some difficult days, but no doubt you guys are on top of the situation there. And, Governor, again, we so appreciate you. By the way, next time you're up in these parts, you've got to stop in the studio. We'd love to have you live in the studio during the show. I would love to do that.
All right, and we're just a couple of blocks away from a central barbecue joint.
So if that helps. All right, Governor. Congratulations again on the Great Mississippi Miracle. Thank you, sir. Todd, have a great afternoon.
All right. Great man, right there, and what he has done in the state of really whatever Republicans are just kicking butt and in Mississippi, and that is so exciting to see. All right, we've got to take a quick break here, folks, and we sure do appreciate the governor joining us. 901-260-5926. Our telephone number.
That's 901-260-5926. Let me say this. If we can start focusing on teaching kids the basics in education like they're doing in Mississippi, we're going to be able to fix what's wrong with this country. We'll be right back. Every so often, a film comes along that challenges us to look closer at what's happening in our own backyard.
Sexploited is that film, a gripping new four-part docuseries that uncovers the reality of sexual exploitation happening in every community in America. You will hear from survivors, law enforcement, and advocates who are fighting to expose and end this modern-day slavery. It's not easy to watch, but it's something every American needs to see. You can stream Sexploited right now or purchase the DVD by visiting sexploitedfilm.com or salemnow.com. That's sexploitedfilm.com or salemnow.com.
Watch it, share it, and stand with those working to bring freedom and justice to the exploited. All right. A lot of fireworks up on Capitol Hill this afternoon. Former Special Counsel Jack Smith.
Now testifying and Jim Jordan, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, is Really, um what is the uh the medical terminology? He's cutting him a new orifice, if you will. Uh it is it's a beautiful thing. But the good news here is that Republicans are holding. Jacksmith Accountable.
Uh Smith testifying on all these fake Trump investigations. And I can tell you, ladies and gentlemen, That this is disgraceful. What they have done to our president is disgraceful. When we come back, we're going to be playing some audio. From the hearing, Jim Jordan is in rare form today.
And you'll be hearing from him in just a few moments. Our telephone number, by the way, 901 260 5926. That's 901-260-5926. Real quick, I want to go back to Minneapolis.
So Just wow, within the past couple of hours, we got word that. That at least two of the organizers of this mob action at the church have now been taken into custody. I appreciate that, and I don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth. But we need about 30 or more arrests because there was a massive crowd there, and everybody that took part. Has to be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law, including Don Lemon.
And I know that there are going to be a lot of folks. Oh, well, he's just a journalist, Todd. He's just out there doing his job. That's all he's doing. No, no, he was not.
Don Lemon. was organizing that mob action. And he needs to be held accountable.
So, there are people, conservatives, saying we just need to let bygones be bygones. I say we've got to make sure this never happens again. We've got to set an example. What say you? 901-260-5926.
We'll be right back, everybody. Folks, if you're looking for a romantic comedy that's actually funny, uplifting, and safe to enjoy with your family, well, this is it. It is the Todd Stearns Radio Show. And wow, this storm system is insane. 100 million people. And Dylan, did you make it to the supermarket last night? Um regretfully, I didn't actually make it.
I said I hyped it up. I was going to do it. I got home and I fell right asleep. You chickened out? Oh, you fell asleep.
I didn't chicken out. I fell asleep, but I heard. That all the stores are empty anyway.
So I'm probably having got it. Yeah, it's it's crazy. And people are really look, it's going to be bad here. They're saying we could get as much as two inches of ice, which would be catastrophic. You folks up north in the northern states.
No, that amount of ice would literally Um Would just literally devastate buildings. I mean, we're talking about roof collapses and things of that nature. And Dylan, sorry, I was slightly distracted. My uh. All of my computers went down in the studio.
It's starting.
Well, it's starting for the love of God.
Well, this morning there was a dense fog warning, and I thought it was just for the Democrats, but apparently there was really fog out on the roadways. Everyone suffered. Everybody suffered, yes, it's true.
So, anyway, you be careful out there. 100 million people all the way from Texas to Maine. You guys are going to get pounded.
So, we certainly are certainly thinking about you, and we're literally all in it together, except for you folks in Ocala, Florida. Maybe we should have moved to Ocala.
Okay, before we get into Jim Jordan, I want to share this story with you because. There is so much. It's really not even misinformation. It's disinformation about federal agents. And the allegations are the federal agents are arresting children.
They're dragging little boys and girls out of their homes. There was one that was shared today by Ilhan Omar. And she alleged that ICE had detained a five-year-old child. And she said that the ICE agents had targeted the child because they believed the child was one of the worst of the worst. That's horrible.
But it turns out not to be true. None of it at all. As a matter of fact, and there's video of it, or there's photos, and people are like, oh, that's horrible. These, those shameful, those Nazis, they're Nazis. No, it turned out not to be true.
So, Homeland Security says the child had been abandoned.
So, agents have pulled over a car. All right. The driver, as soon as the driver put the car in park, driver jumps out of the car and runs away, leaving the child behind. It turned out the driver was an illegal alien, and so the agents were able to finally arrest the guy who was driving the car. But the reason why there was an ICE agent with the child is because the child was being protected.
Charles wasn't being arrested. Charles wasn't being apprehended. And it's really sad to say because you simply just, you cannot believe what you read or hear or see on the network television, your top-of-the-hour radio news, your digital news sources. You can't believe it. You always have to, you know, again, verify, find a second source or third source to find out what's really going on here.
And so we're doing that over on our website, on social media. We're doing our best to make sure that we're correcting all of these lies. And they're intentionally lying. About it. You know, when you look at the Bill of Rights.
And our founding fathers really felt like it was important to have a free press in this nation, a news news that was not influenced by the heavy hand of government. And yes, we do have freedom of press in this country, but that does not mean you have the freedom to make up the facts. And that's where we really have to start cracking down.
Now people say, what about you, Starnes? You're you're a conservative. What about your news?
Well Yeah, I am a conservative, and I was a journalist for many, many years. To some extent I still consider myself to be one. But we're very open with what we do here on this program. But every single story I bring you is rooted in facts. It's not like we're making things up here.
We share the news with you, and then I provide you my commentary, and I provide you the sources for that information. Not everybody does that, but that is a very important thing for us to do. And here's the reason why it's important. Because many of you don't have time to fact-check what we do here. And I want to make sure we get it right the first time.
Does that mean we're going to make mistakes? We are going to make mistakes. We make one about one every couple of years, I think. Was it 2021 the last time I made a mistake, Dylan? Tell me further, further.
Can you tell me? 2020. It was 2020. All right, very good. Thank you.
It's been a while. Dylan keeps us honest here. We have real-time fact-checking right here. Yeah. We might need a fact checker of the fact checker.
Yeah. But all that to say All I have to say is that I want to make sure we get things right. We have a lot of pastors. Whenever I write a column. It's normally shared by a lot of pastors.
And I want to make sure these pastors, if they're reading that from the pulpit, If they are sharing it with their church, I want to make sure that they're getting good, accurate information. I'm just telling you, not everybody wants to go to that level to make sure what they're sharing is accurate. All right, I want to go back, and this is a little lengthy. My intent is to play the entire thing. This is Jim Jordan.
And today, what's happening up on Capitol Hill is a big deal because we've got to hold these people accountable for what they did to Donald Trump. Let's take a listen. The gentleman yields back. Mr. Smith, is Cassidy Hutchinson a liar?
She was their star witness. January 6th Committee, their star witness in one of those staged and choreographed hearings they paid the former president of ABC News to put together. She was in fact the only witness at this special prime time hearing. Tuesday, June 28th, 2022, 8 o'clock in the evening. And she told some stories.
I mean these were These were some stories. She talked about President lunged across the back seat, grabbed the steering wheel, tried to drive the car to the Capitol. And I just want to know You think she was lying? All right. Chairman Jordan, my assessment of that particular issue is that.
With respect to the testimony about someone lung or the president lunging towards The driver. My recollection of her testimony about that is that it was secondhand. She had said she'd heard that from somebody. You familiar with the name Tony Ornado? I'm sorry.
White House Deputy Chief of Operations, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, right? You remember you know you remember what he said about it? As I sit here right now, I do not. Yeah, he said it didn't happen. How about Bobby Ingle, you familiar with that name?
Yes, I am. Secret Service agent who was actually in the car? That day, you know what he said? He said it didn't happen. And they both said the first time they ever heard this story.
was when Ms. Hutchinson testified in the prime time hearing as their star witness of the January 6th Committee. By the way, did you ever confirm her testimony about this particular incident? We conducted, as I said before, our own independent investigation of all aspects of the case that we thought was relevant. We attorneys from my office.
Did you ever confirm it? That's a simple question.
Well We interviewed or I should say attorneys in my office before. Did you ever confirm the President leaping across the seat, grabbing the steering wheel, this whole concoction she brought up in the January 6th hearing? Did you ever confirm that? We interviewed another first-hand witness. Who was in the car, who did not confirm that that had happened, but also your deposition to the committee last month, Mr.
Smith. You said this. My recollection with Ms. Hutchinson was a number of the things that she gave evidence on were secondhand hearsay. You remember us making that statement to us last month in the deposition?
I did, and I was referring particularly to what we're talking about now. Yeah, and you also said Ms. Hutchinson, regarding this particular claim, was a second or even third-hand witness. We asked you, if you were a defense attorney, how would you handle cross-examining her if she was on the witness stand? And you said, if I were a defense attorney and Ms.
Hutchinson were a witness, the first thing I would do was seek to preclude her testimony because it was hearsay. You remember saying all that? Yes, that's correct, sir. That's correct, right? Were you going to put her on the witness stand if you ever got to trial?
We had not made final determinations as to who we were going to call as a witness. We had a large. You are still considering her? We had a large choice of witnesses in this case. Are you familiar with what Washington Post reporters Carol Lenig and Aaron Davis said in their book?
They did his book, 300-some pages book on Chronicle and the whole investigation at the Justice Department. And here's what they said. On page 310, they said Jack Smith had wondered whether some of Hutchinson's claims might be relied upon at trial. Still, at one point, Smith told the elections team he wasn't ready to give up on Hutchinson's account. Ultimately, however, Trump administration officials uniformly, fiercely disputed her accounts under oath.
Prosecutors on your team told Smith they wouldn't want to use Hutchinson as a witness in court, and Smith agreed. Are Carol Lenig and Aaron Davis who wrote this, are they lying? My recollection is that I certainly have not made any final determinations about who we were going to call. And that's the point. That is the point.
The fact that they used her in a prime time hearing and you won't rule out using her or didn't rule out using her, putting her on the witness stand when everybody knows she wasn't telling the truth, that says it all. That's the degree The left and Democrats were willing to go to get President Trump, putting on the witness stand someone everybody knows is making it up. Everybody knows that. And you were willing to do it. By the way, you know how many times Cassie Hutchinson was mentioned in their report, the January 6th report?
Any idea, Mr. Smith? I do not. 185 times.
Someone that the whole country knows wasn't telling the truth and you were still considering putting her on the witness stand because you had to get President Trump. And everybody can see that. All right. So that was Jim Jordan. And again, Republicans, they do a great job at hearings, no doubt about it.
My question is, when are we going to start arresting people? When are we going to start holding people accountable? That's that's what I want to know. By the way, the vice president on his way to Minneapolis today, Pam Bondi. Warning that It is against the law to share personal information about ICE agents online that could lead to federal charges.
The people who Targeted that church, by the way, say that they plan to do more of that.
So, all you folks out there, and I don't care where you live in America because this could happen wherever you live. We've got these dangerous illegals and their pals all over the place.
So, just be alert, be aware, and make sure that you have a. You have a church security team and a security plan in place. All right, we've got to take a break here. 901. 260-5926.

So NFL players. Um a little bit surprised. By the national anthem. And I thought this was interesting. It sort of.
In the mindset of NFL players. Over the past couple of years. And I think this is really a great thing for me. Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Rams. They were visibly excited as they listened to the a national anthem over the weekend.
It was was it Jim Cornelianson performed the epic rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, all of this at Soldier Field, and they had this massive American flag that covered the entire field. And the video actually shows the player singing along with him. and joining the entire crowd. who just it was just really one of those great Patriotic Moments. That's what I saw.
And it's just we've come a long way from the days of Colin Kaepernick taking a knee, people protesting the national anthem, the BLM statements in the end zone, all that kind of stuff. Just all that kind of stuff.
So anyway, makes you kind of proud to be an American.
Well done. And I felt. All right, let's go to the phone lines here. 901-260-5926 Jamison in Ocala, Florida, WOCA, our great affiliate down there. Hi, Jamison.

So, we're going to talk to the congressman about that. Also, he is the new chairman of the Doge team.
So, we're excited about that as the congressman gets ready to really crack down on all this wasteful spending up in D.C. We'll also ask him, try to get an update. On his skateboarding business. You know, he's launching a new skateboarding business, Congressman Burchett is. And so we'll ask him about that as well.
All right, I got to take a quick break. In the meantime, head over to ToddSterns.com, ladies and gentlemen. All sorts of great content for you there. Also, you can download our free newsletter and our podcast. Those are our gifts to you so that you'll have those wonderful resources.
Hang tight, everybody. Hour two of the big show coming up. Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's America's conservative blowtorch. That's right. I love.
Love is American. In rise. Todd. Stars.
Well, hello, everybody. Welcome to hour two of the big show. Great to have you with us. Fireworks on Capitol Hill, Jack Smith, the former counsel. Being uh Targeted by Republicans at this hour.
I don't know if anything's going to come out of this. I mean, they've done all these hearings, and I just. I mean, I guess we could do some show hosts like to go wall to wall with the hearings. But the reality is, you and I both know they never really, there's nothing really that comes out of all of this, right? It's just really for show.
And that's sad, but our Justice Department is just not willing to go down that path. And prosecute these people. And I, you know, it is what it is.
So anyway, we'll tip in every now and again if somebody says something interesting. But in the meantime, I'd much rather just chat with you, and that's what we're going to do. 901-260-5926, our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926. Let's go to North Carolina.
Josh joins us from. WSJS, great radio station. Hi, Josh. What's on your mind?
Well, first off, Todd, uh I My son, um Is a Marine and he's down in South America on the boat right now.
So. All of his uh Christmas presents her. On spa, Waiting for him to come home. And um One of the Christmas presents Is a staunch book from you. And I want to say thank you.
Well, I remember, you know, Josh, I remember you calling in. I am so glad you got the book. And wow, what a wonderful thing that you did there for your son. And well, that was our honor to be able to do that. And we're just so thankful.
But your son is doing well. Is he able to get in touch with you guys, or are they radio silent right now? Um, I talk to her from time to time. Uh, about every two weeks I get a chance to talk to him, but um He can't really tell me what he's doing. Oh yeah, so And where are you?
Um But he actually sent me a picture, um, and he got to go. Uh, Somewhere, I can't remember where. But him and about six Marines were sitting on a beach having a beer, having a good time. And that was the last chance I got talking with him. It was about three weeks ago.
Well, I'm glad you were able to talk to him, and I'm sure we'll hear all about it. Eventually one of these days we'll hear all about it. But there certainly is a lot of activity down south of the border. Yeah, as soon as I get a chance to actually uh Talk about it when he can declassify it. I'll tell you all about it.
Um I was actually thinking about something else until you brought it up, but Colin Kaepernick. kind of struck a chord with me. Um Just him doing what he did. You know, we My sons Down there the Fighting so we can have the freedoms that we have.
So Colin Kaepernick could do what he did. But it's just How disrespectful it was. It is what gets me. Yeah, well, it is disrespectful. It is.
Let me just say this, Josh. It is disrespectful. And he meant it to be. I mean, Colin Kaeperdick was not only spitting on our flag, he was spitting on our troops every time he took that knee. And for the NFL to not have the courage to stand up and put a stop to that when they had every opportunity to do so, for me is just.
really unacceptable so I hear exactly what you're saying, and I sense your frustration and anger, and it's righteous anger, Josh. It truly is. I hate to do this, but we're going to have to skedaddle, my friend. But God bless you. God bless your son and all the Marines and the fighting men and women who are down south of the border, taking care of business and keeping all of us safe.
By the way, this is interesting. The two arrests that were made in Minneapolis. One of them is a member of the Saint Paul School Board. Her name is Chantel Allen. She's the leader of Black Lives Matter Twin Cities, and she's also a school board member.
I don't know. You can't make it up. You can't make it up. 901-260-5926. Yesterday, we had a chance to talk to Ron Vitello, who has.
Long time been an analyst. He's been an advisor for Border Patrol. He joined me on my Newsmax show to talk about all the chaos. Take a listen. Ron, good to have you with us.
Of course, this evening we are seeing more clashes happening in Minneapolis, these mobs going after federal agents. And I'm just curious: where is the military? And do you think that is the right answer to send in the military to Minneapolis?
Well, that deployment is in the hands of the policy decisions operationally with the President. Conditions are still about the same as they were. The trigger, or like I said, the execution order would come from the president. We do have. A scaling up of the U.S.
Attorney's Office. In Minneapolis. Unfortunately, the locals and the state police there are late to the party, if you will, to help protect our people on the ground. And so, like Los Angeles, it might take the soldiers to be able to do that for us. But the U.S.
Attorney's Office is scaling up. We are referring many cases of this assaultive behavior, these riots, and hands-on officers are being referred to the U.S. Attorney's Office. We've sent staff specifically to Minneapolis for that purpose. And so, I think you'll see a lot more arrests and certainly prosecutions of the people who engage in that activity.
You know, I suppose one of the big concerns I have here is the narrative. Clearly, the mainstream media is on the other side of this, and that's pretty much what the average American is seeing on their TV screen at night. Media Research Center conducting analysis of the media coverage. Let's take a look at this. They found ABC, CBS, NBC's flagship evening newscasts all hammered ice with more than 90% negative coverage.
Again, this is no surprise, but you do have to wonder how does this play into the regular Joe that's watching the evening news and seeing what's happening in Minneapolis? Yeah, it's unfortunate that the media complex in the United States, present company excluded, is not serving the American people. They're supposed to be objective with the facts. And we know that academia, Hollywood, the media itself is propagating the propaganda of the left. and saying what ICE is doing is not lawful.
They're doing kidnappings. You have representatives of the government there, the mayor, the governor, all saying terrible things about the frontline and what they're doing and why they're there.
So we're kind of up against it. I agree with you. We're going to continue the mission. We don't need their permission to act in these cases. And then we're going to do our best to refute what's going on and show the facts, get our own videos out there, get our own social media out there.
But the American people are being disserved by the mainstream media. I agree with you. Well, no doubt about that.
Meanwhile, in 2015, Tom Homan received the Presidential Rank Award. This is the highest civil service honor awarded back then by Barack Hussein Obama. Homan was honored for removing more than 920,000 illegals from the homeland. Today, the left calls Tom Homan a fascist and a Nazi. What does that tell you about all of this?
Yeah, this is a very interesting history, right? Barack Obama was called the deporter-in-chief. Why was that? That was because he was the first president to have a term after George W. Bush, who had the term right after 9-11.
And so the DHS and ICE built a system called Secure Communities, which referred every single illegal alien who was arrested in any jurisdiction in the United States to ICE. A formal detainer was lodged electronically. And those people were removed quickly. That pipeline was built during the Bush administration. It was torn down in the second half of Obama's term, or his second term.
And so Trump won, inherited a broken secure communities program. And every city and town since then, once Massachusetts left, The Cook County in Illinois, and then every other city and town, the entire state of Minneapolis or Minnesota, the entire state of California are now sanctuaries. And so that system was broken by the Democrats, and we're trying to recover from that. That would, you know, if Congress acted here to reinstate that program fully, or these lawsuits against Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Minneapolis, if those came our way in the courts, which I'm not very hopeful for, we could put that. Apparatus back together.
But on the silver lining side, about 2 million people have elected to leave the United States for fear of deportation under the government terms. About 500,000 have been removed through the ICE process and more to come. They're going to increase the incentive for people to self-deport. That mechanism is a good deal for the taxpayers. And ICE is going to continue to expand their capability for detention of these folks.
All right, Iron Vitello on my Newsmax TV show last night. We're going to take a quick break. We will regroup our telephone number, 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show.
Bye. All right. All right, welcome back everybody. Great to have you with us today. Our good friend Congressman Barry Lauterbilk from the beautiful state of Georgia has a brand new book out talking about prayer and how prayer influenced the founding of the country and the role that prayer had.
Throughout American history, We're going to talk about that along with some other issues. Let's check out our conversation last night on Newsmax with Congressman Luttermilk. Congressman, good to have you with us. Author, by the way, of a great new book called And Then They Prayed, Moments in American History Impacted by Prayer. Congressman, we'll get to that book in just a moment.
What the heck is going on in the U.S. Senate?
Well, I'm not sure about that or the leaked letter, but you're right that Senator Grassley is back on board. Look, we've got to do something here in the country about protecting the integrity of our election system. I serve on the Committee on House Administration, which has jurisdiction over elections. And we're working. I think, as Leader Scalise has said, that we need to kind of beef up the legislation a little more to make sure that for federal elections, not only do we require voter ID, but it has to be some type of picture ID where these states can't just go and take a state university and say, look, we've got a college ID that we issued, and so that can be used.
Look, there's plenty of folks. That are not U.S. citizens going to our colleges here.
So I think we need to really improve some of the language. I think the SAVE Act is great. It's needed. But it does need to have a little more teeth to protect our election system because if you don't have integrity in the election system, then we don't have we, the people, in charge. You know, it's a good point you raised, Congressman.
Well, a couple of weeks ago, I was not feeling well, under the weather. Went to my drugstore, got some NyQuil. Guess what I had to do just to get some NyQuil? I had to show some identification, Congressman. You're telling me that people can't show up and vote on Election Day without showing some form of ID?
Like they absolutely can. The Democrats know that they can, and this is an issue that they have. I mean, if they want folks, exactly what our founding fathers warned us about is that when people can come and they can vote themselves a pay raise, or they can vote themselves entitlements, or they can have a constituency that will ensure that the government and taxpayers pay for their entire livelihood. That's what the founders were trying to avoid. And that's why U.S.
citizens, look, it's U.S. citizens that pay the tax dollars that end up funding all of the benefits for folks who are not supposed to be here to receive all these benefits, many of which even U.S. citizens can't receive.
So it's by all Common sense. You should only be a U.S. citizen, and you should have to prove your citizenship when you go vote in a federal election. Congressman, it seems to me that you guys on the House side, you're doing the job, Speaker Mike Johnson, getting the president's agenda through.
Meanwhile, on the Senate, I think a lot of folks look at the Senate and they're almost treating this fight with the Democrats like it's a cotillion down at the Country Club. At what point do they need to blow up the filibusters so they can get the president's agenda through Congress? You know, that's one of those things that we have been talking about since I got here. You know, when Republicans are in control, we were all wanting to blow up the filibuster, which I was supportive of. But then when the Democrats controlled the Senate, I was kind of glad that it was there.
But at the same time, I think that they can do some adjustments to that. If you're going to have a filibuster, let's do the old-fashioned Mr. Smith goes to Washington filibuster, where you just don't do it by sitting in your office and voting for cloture. Haul yourself down to the well and speak and control the House or control the Senate for as long as you can. That was the idea of the framers of our Constitution.
Instituting a real filibuster was not just some way of, well, we got to have 60 votes to break cloture. Be in front of the American people, articulate why you are trying to stand in the way and blocking this legislation. I think that's a great compromise the Senate can go with. Congressman, I want to talk about your. Book, and then they prayed: moments in American history impacted by prayer.
I'm wondering: did you have a difficult time finding examples of that? Oh, absolutely not. I mean, the difficulty was just picking which moments of American history that prayer had significant impact to put in the book. It's written in story form because it took me over 10 years of research to get these very accurate, very factual stories about God's divine intervention throughout American history. Not because I'm saying it's divine intervention, but the people who were there.
From George Washington all the way up to the Apollo 8 space mission. There have been times in our country when. We were against all odds, right? Circumstances were totally against us. But then there were these acts of divine providence that were as a result of prayer.
And it's important going into the 250th anniversary of our country that if we want to continue to go another 10, 20, 30, or 250, we have to go back and revisit and see what sustained us during the first 250 years. And it's that divine providence that our founders were not ashamed to talk about. And I think this is something, it's a time in our country that we need to return to that. In fact, the first pre-release copy that I received, I had a meeting with President Trump in the White House that day. I took the first copy that I got from the publisher over with me and I handed it to him and I had inscribed in the book to the president, I said, for someone who has also experienced an act of divine providence.
He turned and looked at me and he pointed to his ear and he said, if God hadn't told me to turn my head at that exact Moment, I wouldn't be here today, Barry. And I know he read it because about three months later, he came out and endorsed the book. And so, this is it's the feedback we've gotten from people is tremendous. It's putting you at Valley Forge with George Washington. You're in the capsule of Apollo 8 space mission, several stories from World War II, the Civil War, even back as far as 1746, very well documented of acts of divine providence that has sustained our country.
All right. Again, that's our conversation with Congressman Barry Lautermilke. What a great guy, and what a terrific book he wrote. And again, President Trump endorsing the project. All right, hang tight.
When we come back, we do have some breaking news about Don Lemon. We'll tell you what that's all about. Coming up next. 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show.
Dylan, it turns out that. You know, when we're wrong, we're wrong. And this is the first time I've been wrong this year. It turns out potatoes are good for helping prevent slippery roads during ice storms. Who knew?
There had to be a reason why we do it, so I mean. Yeah, I spent all that money pouring dry rub on the parking lot, thinking that was going to do it. It's got salt in it, right? Yeah. Yeah, and other spices.
I think paprika. That should do the job even more. I'll smelt it. But I've got every squirrel within a five-mile radius out front now. It's not good.
Welcome back, everybody. This is the Todd Stearns Radio Show. We're trying to winterize the palatial studios here. Luke Symbol joins us, our Republican strategist. And Luke, we're just not built for this kind of weather.
I know you're from New York, but we're not built for this kind of weather down here in the South. No, and you know, it's the local government. They just don't have the trucks and the infrastructure to handle it, which is okay. But I like your dry rub idea. There's lots of that in Memphis, so might as well try it out.
May as well. I mean, if we get as much ice as they say, I think we're willing to try anything. I think you may have to sleep in the studios or something. I don't know what's going to happen. They also use beet juice and cheese.
So Sounds like my lunch. What is the beasty salad? The stinky cheese? Is that. I guess does it scare away the ice, Dylan?
Is this why all the Krogers are empty? They're just buying cheese for the road. Have you noticed that, Luke? Have you been to a Kroger over the past 24 hours? I went last night at 6 o'clock and I took pictures.
There was not one ounce of meat. And the only milk available was like the fortified milk for infants. And I got a half gallon just in case. Wow. Yeah, you gotta do.
Well, look, whatever gets you through the storm. I will say this: we have a couple of ladies that love our radio station, love our radio show, and they're both named Kristen. And they live in Germantown. We call them the real housewives of Germantown in a very affectionate way. Yes.
And they felt, I guess he felt bad because they're like, you know, Starnes is going to be, you know, at the station. We still have to do a national show. It doesn't matter if we have 28 feet of snow outside.
So they brought me homemade sausage balls. Oh, was that Kristen New brought you the sausage? Yeah, we're not going to get into Kristen's, but the last names. But one brought the sausage balls and the other brought homemade guac. They're famous for both of those things.
Yes, they are. It's quite tasty. You see, this is why I love conservative women, just in general. Yeah, they know how to cook. They know how to take care of families and they know how to knock on doors and campaigns.
And they bathe regularly.
So unlike a lot of those big gals up in. Up in Minnesota. Ann Coulter had a tweet this morning about how bodets are not American. And she said it's the next way, you know, soccer is not American. Bodets are not American.
It's a sign of our cultural decline. And she said, the reason we don't need them is because Americans bathe every day. In Europe, they don't do that. First time I saw one, I'm like, who put a water fountain in the middle of a commode? Who does that?
You know, I actually don't know how to use them. It's not that. We're not going down that path. We're not going. This is not NPR.
NPR. All right. So, look, let's talk about a couple of things here. There is President Trump is very upset right now. at the New York Times.
They released new polling data and it's They say it doesn't look good for the president. The president says the Times has to pay a price. This is a Siena University poll. 40% of registered voters approve of President Trump. That's according to the poll.
Results, and they say voters have an unfavorable view of the president's performance on almost every issue tested. What say you? I think Sienna was really not accurate during the election, and they're probably not super accurate now. Pollsters just don't know how to poll MAGA. There are some theories about that.
Maybe it's the change in going from telephone to texting to web. Nobody really knows, but pollsters just are not that great. The other thing I would like to say is when Ronald Reagan took office, he was a change agent, especially that first year in office. He slashed the federal budget. He fired so many federal workers.
And his approval ratings from these mainstream polls went down into the 30s. And then we saw that massive reelection three short years, two and a half, three short years later.
So I want the change happening now. Let's keep pushing. And I think these policies, especially on the economy, I think we're starting to see these policies take effect from the big. Big, beautiful bill. And if our economy is roaring come November, maybe we've got a shot at holding the House or losing very few Republican seats.
So Karl Rove has a piece in the Wall Street Journal today. And here's the headline: Is Trump trying to lose the midterms? And uh here's what he wrote. He says uh Trump was sworn in uh for a second time. It's been a year of rapid movement, controversy, upheaval.
It's also been utterly mystifying. Why does a president keep doing things that are against his political self-interest? Why has he ignored the reality the midterms will be decided not only by how much his base is energized, but by whether Republicans carry independent and soft partisans? Are you seeing any indication the president is losing support? No, if anything, he's gaining support.
And I think it's an example of that. When you have radical leftists storming into churches to disrupt church services in the name of protecting, supposedly name of protecting illegal aliens, the vast majority of Americans really dislike that.
So we just have to keep doing what we're doing. We need to make sure that the messaging is good. I think this Trump 2.0 term, the messaging has been much, much better, a couple of hiccups. But for the most part, I think people are really feeling good. And again, like I said, the economy is, you're starting to feel it.
This idea of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac buying down the interest rates with their profit, that is going to be really popular. That we are already seeing an effect with the homes starting to sell more, the prices starting to go up a little bit. I think it's going to be roaring come spring, and that bodes very, very well for Republicans. Yeah. And I believe all that to be true.
I really do. I'm not buying a lot of these polls that are out there. I mean, when you go out and these local TV stations are going and asking people in places like Portland, Maine, about the illegals. Everybody's happy. I mean, everybody understands what ICE is up to, contrary to the narrative coming out of the big networks.
Right. You're exactly right. And I also think the administration is following Todd Starn's ex-accounts because maybe it was yesterday or the day before you started tweeting. You said, Where are the arrests from the radicals invading the churches? And suddenly we see Pam Bondi in Minnesota and she's starting to announce arrests.
I don't know if you noticed that, but I think they're following your ex accounts.
Well, I'm look, I do not. Uh I do not just follow the president just blindly. And when I see the administration doing something that I know is going to get them blowback on the base, I'm going to bring it up. Say, well, are you afraid of not getting invited? No, I'm not.
And I don't think, I don't, I think, I'd like to think the president appreciates it. I know Harmeet Dillon did. She kind of got a little upset. And look, I understand, but the reality is it's been a year. Right.
You know, I mean, how much longer do we have to wait? Look, I think a little respectful pushing is good. And the thing, presidential administrations come and go, but the Todd Starn show is here to stay.
So I like that. Yeah. I was like, hello, a bumper sticker. I want to play some audio. Do we have the church?
This is one of the church agitators. Let's play this. As you can see, all these pretend Christians, all these comfortable white people who are living lavish, comfortable lives while children are dragged into concentration camps. You're living real life, nice lives with your lattes, doing absolutely nothing for your Latino and Somali brothers and sisters. You come here to a man wearing a suit is a preacher?
Did Jesus wear a suit? Did Jesus profit off the words? No. Jesus would die. God touch me.
Touch me again and see what happens. You are a fake Christian. Why are you not standing with your Somali and Latino communities? Why do I not see you out at Whipple every day protesting this attack on humanity? Where are you?
You're sinners. You're pretending to be Christians. But we know you live an easy life, don't you? A very easy life while people are starving.
Okay, enough of that guy. You can smell the guy. You can smell the batchouli coming from this guy. That man's name is William. We can now report.
Dylan, we have some breaking news. Breaking news now on the Todd Starn show. The Attorney General, Pam Bondi, announcing that William Kelly, who dared, dared ICE to come and arrest him, dared the DOJ to come and arrest him, is now in custody.
So well done, Pam Bondi. That's number three, a third person now arrested in Minneapolis. Very good. And I want them to keep doing it. Arrest one after another and release their names and announce it.
I wanted to put the squeeze on the lemon. Don Lemon. So look, we've got some, we have some intel about this. This is insane.
So this is unconfirmed reporting, but it's out there by some of these independent journalists that Bondi wanted to have Don Lemon arrested, but a federal magistrate said, no, I'm not going to sign off on those charges. What What why? He it's on tape. It's on video. There's tape of him talking about how it was pre-planned.
I mean, what oh god. He's no journalist. No, he's not. He's an act he's a radical activist. He's gross.
And he's starting to look a little weathered. I don't know. He looked terrible. It's amazing what professional makeup artists can do to make you look presentable on TV. And those women were miracle workers.
Yes. And look, I've got one. And again, the lovely Miss Christen. We actually took a picture. We're going to post it on the socials.
The three Kristens, including my makeup artist named Kristen.
Well, Christens are very important to Todd Starns. Yes, indeed.
So, anyway, according to Nick Sorter, the federal magistrate refused to sign off on the DOJ's charges against Don Lemon. Just again, another activist judge running cover for the left and this law fair. Being waged from the bench. I mean, I know you're an attorney, and Luke, it's got to be frustrating. Just see what's happening.
We have impeachment. You know, the legislators, state legislators with activist judges, the federal legislature with activist judges can impeach judges. And until we start using the constitutional tools available to us to hold them accountable, it's just going to continue. It's going to continue. And what's up with all?
I'm starting to see several judges who were not even born in the country. Who are now making decisions and saying the president of the United States cannot use his executive authority to do what he needs to do. We have literal foreigners stopping the government from following and every court of appeals and the Supreme Court just keeps overturning, overturning, overturning.
So, Portland, Maine, this story, speaking of that, a correctional officer, so this is a guy who works in the prison system, has been detained by ICE because he's an illegal.
So, how is it that we're hiring these illegals to guard our prisoners? Yeah, terrible. There was another story. I forgot where in the country it was several months ago, but you had a police officer who was an illegal alien, and it just, it doesn't make any sense to me. And we have the tools available to us to make sure that no illegal alien is ever hired in the United States.
It is called E-Verify. And the idea that we have even Republican states that have not yet mandated E-Verify before hiring is unacceptable. And sometimes it just feels like these Republicans. Can we have any of them stand up and start speaking out about this? You know, we live in one of the most conservative states in the country, Todd, Tennessee.
And I don't know that Tennessee has passed a requirement that requires a verify. I don't think so.
Well, we need to because we've got to figure out who's here and who's not supposed to be and send them back to where they came from. They're all going back. That's what I like to say.
So, ladies and gentlemen, would you like to see Don Lemon arrested and hauled off for his behavior there in that church house, 901-260-5926? That's 901-260-5926. We are efforting some brand new audio from. Jasmine Cry. I almost said Kamala Harris.
I had to stop myself. They both changed their accents. They changed. Yes, she's changing the accent again. Right.
She had this, and I went out of my way to learn. You know, you're hooked on phonics. There's a new book out called Hooked on Ebonics. And I was learning. It was awesome.
And I felt like I was relating to Jasmine Crockett. Anyway, Dylan, we do have officially a Jasmine Crockett update. Shut it! Do you know? Um Yeah, ladies and gentlemen, Jasmine Crockett and Luke, Jasmine Crockett, back in the district now.
And you know, she's be dropping the, I be this, I be that.
Well, here is the new and improved from the linguistic standpoint, Jasmine Crockett. Listen, I'm a gun-totant Texan, right?
So I own firearms. I'm licensed to carry, and I also care about agriculture. Way before I was running for the United States Senate, you know, I served on the Ag Committee. I'm the girl who's actually lived in rural Texas. I'm the girl that is actually driven farm equipment.
Is she picking cotton? Is she doing that? I'm just asking. She said she worked on the farm, Dylan. I mean,.
Dylan's under the desk right now. I'm hiding. I'm hiding. Wow. I thought, wait, who was it?
I thought she was the one who said that's why we needed the illegals here to work the farms because we're not going back to picking cotton. You're right again, Todd.
So, Jasmine Crockett, wait one cotton picking minute here. What's going on? She's a farmer now, Todd. Didn't you know? And she's even, she has the voice to go along with it.
Yee-hoo! I drive the tractor. I bet she listens to Dolly Parton. Jolene. All right.
Luke Simple, good luck to you. Thank you, good son. Godspeed. The snowstorm is heading our way. It is.
I'm only, you know, I only live a couple minutes from the studio, so if you need anything, I can trudge through the snow and drop you off that. Fortified milk, I bought. Or a generator. I'll take a generator. All right, Luke Simple, always good seeing you.
Good to see you. All right, folks, you got to take a quick break here: 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. Coming up 5 o'clock tonight, Dr. Rich McCormick, Congressman from Georgia, joining us on Newsmax.

This is the Todd Stearns Radio Show. This item Yeah. Ah, here we go. Our good friend. Congressman John Rose is really fired up.
So here's the problem. And it this is all involving the Senate. Congressman Rose. Says that Senator John Thune will not bring the Save Act or hundreds of America First House bills up for a vote. But Senator Thune has no problem supporting a provision that stuffs the pockets of senators with half a million dollars or more of your tax money.
Now you might remember that a while back, senators Wanted to sue Jack Smith over the Arctic Frost phone records. And it was only senators, nobody else. I mean, Smith collected so much data on so many people. But the Senate said, yeah, we don't care about the regular people. We don't care about the citizens.
But senators, senators get to sue.
So this reporting from The Hill Emily Brooks says the House tried to jam the Senate with a provision to repeal that law that'll let senators sue for a half a million dollars. It's a pretty tricky last-minute move, and I love it. Absolutely love it. And again. Destroy the filibuster.
What is it going to take, ladies and gentlemen? What is it going to take? All right, got to take a quick break. 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show.
Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's America's favorite gun toton, Bible-clinging, deplorable American. That's us! That's it! Wow. I love this American.
And round touch. Stars.
All right, well, Fox News is now reporting that the Justice Department is looking into other avenues. After a magistrate judge refused to sign off on charges against Don Lemon. Don Lemon, of course, the disgraced CNN employee, the news anchor, who stormed this beautiful church, beautiful Baptist church in St. Paul, Minnesota on Sunday. Mr.
Lemon also harassed Christians and got into arguments with them as they were trying to escape the building. And this is just simply unacceptable. It is absolutely unacceptable. And God bless those good hearted Christian people for for having the patience of Job.
So earlier today, we got word just before the show started that two individuals had been arrested.
Now a third has been arrested. Pam Bondi making those announcements just a little while ago. But here's my take on this. And I'm glad people are getting arrested. I am not going to belittle that at all.
But the reality is over 30 people. Stormed into that church, and every single person who did should be arrested. And every single person should face the charges. Every single one of them, including Don Lemon. And if we don't send a message here, and quite frankly, everybody needs hard jail time in a federal prison, and here's the reason why.
If we allow this to go unchallenged. If we allow these people to go in and storm a church, they're going to do it next Sunday, and the one after that, and the one after that.
So we've got to set a precedent here that if you do this, You go to jail. Because we don't play that game here in the United States of America. We're not going to allow you. to desecrate church houses. in the name of the illegals.
So we're taking your calls on that this hour. Do you believe that this one moment? The invasion of this church. Should serve as the moment, the line in the sand to finally. play hardball and send these people to jail.
I mean, there are some out there like, well, you know, it's um It's a church. And people have a right to come in to the church. And no, they don't have a right to come in and desecrate the sanctuary and stop the services. They don't have a right to do that. No rights whatsoever.
They say, Todd, what would Jesus do?
Well, Jesus threw the money changers out of the temple. I've got no problem believing that he might do the same to these morons. But again, I'm not Jesus Christ, and I certainly don't speak for our Lord and Savior. But I'd like to think that Jesus would have given the heave-ho right out the front door. We'll keep you updated.
I suspect we will see more arrests. in the coming hours and days. And I am glad that the Attorney General is immediately dealing with this situation. I was really afraid we were going to be two, three, four, five months down the road. And nobody was being arrested.
So I'm glad, I'm glad this is happening. 901-260-5926. Our telephone number, that's 901-266-266-266-666. 260-5926. So earlier, or last night, rather, I had an opportunity to talk to.
Glenn Jacob, who is the former professional wrestler, now the very popular county mayor. In Knox County, Tennessee, let's take a listen. Good to see you, Mr. Mayor. You know, this is just really breathtaking to see the magnitude of the fraud coming out of Minnesota.
Your reaction.
Well, thanks for having me on, Todd. First of all, to me, it's not really a surprise. I mean, this is unfortunately just how the system works. When we think about immigration, one of the most important aspects of that is the welfare system and this magnet that attracts people who are just want to live off the system and want to live off of, as Mr. Shirley said, the efforts of hardworking Americans.
So it's terrible, but it should really come as a surprise anyway because unfortunately, All welfare systems, this is where they tend to go, you know, with the fraud and just the fact that it ends up. becoming so large and becoming such a massive percentage of budgets overall that this fraud sometimes just becomes almost a rounding there in that. That's unacceptable, obviously, but nevertheless, that's the case. You know, I'm curious because this is an issue that's impacting just about every state in the nation, the number of illegals, and especially the numbers that were flown into Tennessee in the dark of night during the last administration. You've got a state representative right out of the Nashville area calling ICE agents KKK and comparing them to some of the most awful people.
How big of a deal is that in the volunteer state?
Well, I think we do a good job here. We've been a 287G County, which means that our law enforcement county is deputized by ICE.
So when someone is picked up, they are allowed to check their immigration status. And if they are a legal immigrant, they are held for processing by ICE. In many cases, then you find that there are more charges. And we've also had a couple incidents where illegal immigrants have been driving without a license, without insurance, been involved in accidents. People have died as a result of that.
So that's a problem as well. But our legislature has been working at the White House on comprehensive immigration reform. We're the first state in the nation to do that.
So we take it very seriously here. Back to Minnesota for just a moment. When you look at what's happening in Minneapolis, we're the mayor of that city, a major American city, telling people basically to get in the faces of ICE agents to try to somehow sabotage their efforts. I'm just curious, you're a lawmaker, your reaction to what's happening there in Minnesota with elected leadership. It's really foreign to me.
These sort of things don't happen in East Tennessee.
So when I watch TV and I see this, I'm like, is this America that I'm looking at? But it just shows you that state and local government really do matter. And I feel horrible for many of the people in Minneapolis and Minnesota because this is going on. But at the same time, This is, in many cases, almost what you voted for when you put people in power like that. And we just don't have that here in East Tennessee.
We just wouldn't tolerate it. Our people here wouldn't tolerate it.
So it's incredibly unfortunate. But again, for me, it's almost alien because I could never envision. anything like that. Sheriff Spangler here, there's no way that that would happen in Knox County.
So it's really a testament to good local leadership. And for the rest of the country, you know, you should be looking at your state and local leadership and thinking to yourselves, you know, are these the people that we want running things? Because when you have the wrong people in positions of authority, this is what you get.
Well, and I have to imagine in Knox County, you wouldn't have folks barching into church services and disrupting Sunday worship. Absolutely not. Absolutely not. And that was just you know, and these people obviously, they're just they're professional agitators. They get outraged at everything.
You know, as you said, you look what happened under the Obama administration.
Now Trump is doing Basically, the same thing, even not to that same extent.
Now, all of a sudden, you're bad, you're evil because it's Trump. You know, and that's what it all comes down to. I hate Republicans. I hate Donald Trump. Therefore, I can infringe on someone's right to go to a church service and to.
Feel safe and to worship the Lord in a peaceful way, just completely unacceptable. And those people should be ashamed of themselves for doing that. They won't be, but they should be ashamed of themselves for doing that. All right, that was Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs. I like that guy.
You know, he's being talked about as a possible replacement for Senator Marcia Blackburn if she is elected governor in Tennessee. And he is certainly a pro-Trump conservative. All right, let's go to the phones here. We'll say hello to Ray in Florida, WOCA, our great affiliate down there. Hi, Ray.
What's on your mind today?
Well, uh I'm a little concerned if uh one of those um churchgoers was a concealed weapon carrier and they started shooting people, busting in out of fear. Where would we be today on this? It's madness. I'd also like to make another comment. The sheriff, probably one of the most important votes you can ever make in your life is your local sheriff.
And uh these these uh rogue judges that are refusing to prosecute some of these people. The upside to all of this is they're outing themselves as people that have no business being a judge.
So again, at some point, they're going to bust in on somebody and they're going to get hurt. And then what do we do with that? Yeah, no, Ray, this is actually a really good point you're bringing up because those church members, look, just remember it was it a couple of months back, maybe longer than that, you had the shooting at the Catholic church and school there in St. Paul.
So, with that still fresh in the minds of people, you see a big mob just barging in, storming, and they really stormed into the church. You can see it on the video. I'm just surprised nobody there was packing heat. I was surprised myself. Yeah, but But it's a great point you raise, and you know how the media would immediately spin it.
And it would not be in favor of the innocent church victims. They would become the enemy, the bad guys. Yeah. Yeah, it's a it's a sad state of affairs. People need to understand That this is not left against right.
We're dealing with good versus evil. And once that is clearly made, you know, that this is what we're dealing with.
So you got to pick a side. This is for all the marbles, the way technology is today, a perfect example, Greenland. no reason to have done what Trump had done until technology got to the point where we were forced into this position.
So, you know, we're moving into a new world, and there are going to be a lot of changes. People got to wake up and pick a side. Do you want your freedom? Or would you rather have a nanny state take care of you? Ray, excellent points.
You give us a holler back one of these days, and thank you for calling in. 901-260-5926. Ray is right. It's a dangerous game that the left is playing. And one day they're going to barge in on the wrong people.
And there will be a price to pay for that. This is the Todd Stern Show. Mm. Welcome back, everybody. Oh my word.
This is, I've been getting a lot of text messages, and people in these parts are freaking out. They're freaking out over this snowstorm. We have gone from expecting. 24 inches of snow down to possibly three inches, if that. But people are still freaking out.
And they're saying it's going to be the snowpocalypse. Dylan, I'm looking at a photograph. A gentleman runs an organization called Blackwood News. And he always gets the good juicy stories. He snapped a photograph of a woman at a supermarket.
And she's got one thing in her grocery cart. I'm trying to figure out how many loaves of bread she has. Yeah, I was counting. Were you?
So there's a lot of loaves of bread. It's all white bread, by the way. We have to be specific here. It looks like white bread. Are you sure it's white bread?
It looks you see, I thought it was wheat, but it's uh so you're saying it's white bread? That would be healthier, I guess. But She must have 20. At least 20. At least 20.
20 loaves of bread. What the what who is this woman feeding? Yeah, perfect. That's a lot of toast. You're telling me she's going to eat all this bread?
Within like three or four days, maybe. Unbelievable. This is the funniest thing I've ever seen. It's on the KWAM News Radio Facebook page, if you want to check it out. Please don't be that person.
Right? Please don't share. You really don't need 30 loaves of bread or 20 loaves of bread. Or ten loaves of bread. Ha ha ha.
You just can't make you can't make this stuff up. You just can't. 901-260-5926. Our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926.
So a bit of chaos erupting in this hearing with Jack Smith. And I, you know, for me personally, here's what I want to know from Jack Smith. Why did you raid Baron Trump's bedroom? Why did you target a teenage boy? And number two, why did you rummage through Melania Trump's private things?
Why did you rummage through Melania's drawers? That's what I want to know. I don't know if we're going to get the answer to that question, to those questions. I hope we do, but I don't think we are. Anyway, let's take a look.
This is Congressman Daryl Issa, who, by the way, probably going to lose his seat in Congress as a result of redistricting. Here's Congressman Darrell Issa. Take a list. Withhold that information from an Article III judge in the process of. Taking the records of the Speaker of the House.
We complied with the department. Did you hold? Mr. Chairman, would you please instruct the gentleman to allow the witness to answer the question? It's not your time.
I'd like my time back. Mr. Chairman, you have repeatedly done that in the past. The witness has the right to answer the question. And there will be due time to answer the question.
Would you please put my time back and let me finish this? Mr. Smith. I asked you a question and you were not responsive to it, and I want you to be responsive to it. Did you, whether you think it was legal or not, whether you think it was right or not, did you withhold?
The name of Kevin McCarthy, Speaker of the House, when you were seeking records on Kevin McCarthy, the Speaker of the House, or Jim Jordan, the chairman of this committee. At the time of the gentleman is please give me back the time and we will take it away. Time has expired, but we are going to let the witness answer your question because it is an important question. The witness can respond. We did not provide that information to the judge when we requested a nondisclosure order, consistent with the law and consistent with the Department of.
Mr. Chairman, the amazing thing here today is that we have an admission that an article's time has expired by now 34 seconds. It gets more than five minutes. How many times do you want to interrupt me? The time belongs to the gentleman from California.
I will be brief in my address to the chairman. We have the evidence that an Article I representative on behalf of the President withheld that three. Chairman, I wish you predication leads to the United States. And with that, I yield back in disgust of this witness.
Well, disgust. I mean, that's saying a lot up on Capitol Hill. Anyway, Fox News has a piece up now on Baron Trump and the whole bathroom thing or the bedroom thing. And It turns out we officially now can tell you. that Baron Trump's room was searched by the FBI.
Jordan says They searched Barron's room and the First Lady's closet. They found out that information during a deposition featuring the FBI Washington Field Office, the head of the FBI Washington Field Office. He told us none of the normal process, none of the normal protocol was followed in the investigation. Jordan said that the head of the office, along with others in the Washington field office, recommended that Trump be notified before they carried out the search, or at least when they got there, before they started the search, call the president's lawyers, ask him to come there and meet them, as they should normally do by way of protocol. But that did not happen here.
The raid on Mar-a-Lago sparked controversy about the handling of the search and what was found during the time of the search. Trump had accused the Biden administration of using third world tactics.
Well, that may be an understatement coming from. The the president.
So there you go. Just more nuggets coming out. We're going to have full coverage tonight at 5 o'clock on all of this, but it's just really, really shocking. The president said that, of course, we first learned about all of this by the president when he announced at the rally. that they had targeted his wife's closet drawers.
And did a deep and ugly search of Barron's room when Barron was just 16 years old. That is not right, ladies and gentlemen. We'll be right back. Well, our next guest was. Pretty direct when it came to dealing with these folks that raided the church, stormed into that church in St.
Paul, Minnesota. Our next guest said, regarding the organizer, arrest her ass and throw her in the pokey. Let's go to the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line. Say hello to our good friend from Tennessee, Congressman Tim Burchett. Congressman, good to see you.
Good to have you on the show today. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Did I say that? No, I know I said that.
I wanted to say something a little stronger. You know, if that have been any other house of worship. other than a Christian-based organization. There'd be people lined up on the House floor. Republicans aren't even talking about it.
This is a complete breakdown of society and it is a violation. Of those folks' constitutional rights. They don't have a First Amendment right to come in. You know, you don't have a First Amendment right to yell fire in a crowded theater, nor do you have. The ability to go into a church service and upset it.
I would say, though, some of my Pentecostal friends. Told me they said a group of rioters came in there and they didn't even realize it until after the service was over.
So, um, I went to a Church of God college, so I can appreciate that comment. Oh, wow. Congressman, the good news now we understand at least three of those people, including one of the organizers, have been arrested. By law enforcement federal officers. We're also getting word that maybe Don Lemon, they were trying to charge him, but a federal magistrate won't sign off on those charges.
It doesn't surprise me these Our federal courts are out of whack. And I'm going to blame the evangelical Christian community when 40% of y'all. Go to the polls. 60% of you stay home for whatever badgum reason. We're going to lose our country.
And I've said this many times. You know, they're Scotland said it. They're going to sell us the rope we hang them that we hang ourselves with. And that's exactly what's happening. We've got to get some guts.
Preachers got to start preaching the gospel. People got to start standing up for our beliefs. You don't have to be angry about it. But Jesus got angry. He didn't ask them to leave.
the money changers to leave the temple. That gum, he threw them out. And I think we better start paying attention to what's going on, because one day they're going to knock on that door and they're going to have a chain on it, just like they did during COVID. And that should have been a trial run for everybody. They shut down the Jews, they shut down the Christians.
and the big box doors could stay open and and all these other liberal groups. Pelosi could go get her hair cut and And um the governor of California, he he was having big meetings and big big meals with people. And nobody's wearing a dad gum, I ask. Look, we got to start standing up, and we got to stand up for what's right, and we got to get to the polls this year because if we lose that midterm, It's over. It is over.
It's not just Trump getting impeached. They will I I heard um Schumer today in a quote, he was saying that they're going to restore the funding to all those NGOs, all those groups that are just stealing that money out of Minnesota and out of California. Minnesota is the tip of the iceberg. It is the tip of the iceberg. You put California in that mix and it's over.
And politicians in Washington, and I'm afraid both parties are getting fat off of it. We got to start standing up. I just don't get what the Senate is doing here. Why are they so adverse to blowing up the filibuster? Because that's exactly what the Democrats are going to do, Congressman, when they retake control.
And we have got to have voter ID laws out there. Yeah, it's noble nobility BS. They're going to, oh, well, they can do it, but we're not going to do it. You know. We need to we need to start playing by the rules.
the Democrats do when they did this You know, the vote harvesting stuff that's legal in California. Oh, we're not going to dirty our hands on that. It's legal, you better get in the game. And what they're doing to us. is legal, and we better get in the game.
And you're exactly right. As soon as they get the majority back, That filibuster will be gone, and Boone and the rest of them are going to be scratching their. their heads wondering what just happened because they're trying to play some honorable game. You can't play honorable I mean, it's like my dad when he fought the Japanese in the Pacific, they weren't honorable people. It was a freaking street fight everywhere you went.
you'd they'd stripped them naked if they ever got one that was um You know, that was alive because they were throw a hanger, they'd take you out with them. Those aren't conventional rules of war. They'd use gas, the Germans, Nazis used gas. I mean, you know.
Sometimes you got to play smash mouth with them, Todd, and you got to let them know where you're coming from and who's doing the delivering. And right now, they're delivering to us, and we're taking it. I had just last week. We voted for this terrible bill. I didn't vote for it.
There's over a billion dollars in this thing. for funding for accounts the President President Trump zeroed out. And I asked our leadership about it. One of them. There was one of them, there was over 300 million in it.
Eli Crane had an amendment to take it out. No, and we didn't get enough support out of the Republican Party that had censored President Trump $300 million. And it goes into these hundreds of NGOs, and we don't know what they're doing. And we just, that's why I wrote a letter to President Trump saying, stop the NGOs, stop every dadgum one of them. cancel them and must start over.
And you know, and they tell me, Well, Bertrand, it's not going to pass the Senate.
Well, guess what. make them vote on it. Make America know what garbage they're force feeding them, what they're making their grandchildren that are going to go into debt. The dollar bill will be worth nothing. that is getting close to that if you extrapolated over a couple of decades.
But you know, we're going to lose everything, Todd. And I'm not being overzealous about that. We're 38 trillion in debt. That dollar just keeps getting divested and divested, and it's going to be worth less and less. You know, there's a lot of polling data out there that suggests things are not going to go well for the Republicans in the midterm.
What is it going to take to I mean, if that is true, what is it going to take to reverse that trend? More than twelve percent of the population voting. and holding us accountable and quit electing these weak knee Republicans or just enforcing them. I think some of them will do what's right. They just don't know what right is because they're told by leadership, oh, this is a good bill.
We need this. You know, and I guarantee you, Trump didn't know there's a billion dollars in that last funding bill of things that he zeroed out. I mean, that's an insult to him, it's an insult to the Eighty, some odd million. Americans that elected him.
So I think there's a lot of stuff going on there, Todd, and we better start paying attention. Yeah, I'm with you. That 40% number just, that's insane. And I don't know what it is going to take. I don't know what it is going to take to get Christians to get out there.
Going to any big church in the South. Count out ten people. And six of them are not going to vote. And if they do, they'll vote for president and they'll stop there. They won't vote for their local races.
And these state races are so important. These governors state senators, state reps. Your local city councilman. Mayors, things like that. And that and school boards, my goodness, school boards.
We just turned that over to a bunch of. left wingers.
So in a lot of areas that they should. All right. Well, Congressman, again, it's a wake-up call and we've got time to fix it. But folks are going to have to get engaged and they're going to have to go and vote. Otherwise, I mean, you know, it is what it is.
Yeah, I agree. I agree, brother. Let's keep fighting. Don't need surprises. We need the goals.
True. Congressman, are you ready for the big snowstorm? It's coming, I think, to your neck of the woods. Yeah, I'm ready. I've got I'm talking to my wife today.
Hopefully, we're flying home if these idiots can get out of their own way. We've got firewood and I've got propane and You know, milk and bread. I don't know what we're going to do with that. I guess we'll eat some milky bread sandwiches. I don't know.
But yeah, we're ready. I mean, we're burched. We. Wait. My dad, I remember doing the blizzard of uh Was that 94 or something?
Maybe 98. and hit Tennessee really bad. We had over a foot of snow. It was crazy. And I remember I came home, I've been at the I was hauling firemen to the post to their to their job.
They couldn't get to the fire station because some of them lived in the back woods. They had a big old jeep wagon there, a four-wheel drive. The old-timey one. The wood grain panels. I came into the house.
And mamma was a school teacher and I'll never forget the power had been off for a long time. Mama was I'd open the curtains.
So the light came in, and she was grading papers. She was a school teacher, grading papers by the sunlight coming in. And my dad had his old cook stove and his Marine Corps meskiet. And he was heating up a cup of coffee. And I thought, you know, these two depression-era people ain't nothing else.
Dad had been out. We lived in the city, but dad had been out shooting squirrels if it got too bad. Yeah. We're good. Dylan, those squirrels, yeah, they used to eat squirrels.
I don't know. They may still eat squirrels. I don't know. Oh, yeah, it's good. It's tough to make.
It's sweet, but it's tough. Make sure you got your chompers on because it's tough. All right, Congressman, we're going to leave it there. Stay warm and stay safe out there. Thank you, brother.
Appreciate you. All right. Likewise, same right back at you, Congressman. The great Tim Burchett. Um Done you ever had squirrel?
I I have not had scroll yet. I think it's an East Tennessee thing. Yeah, well, it sounds like that's what they needed to do to survive out.
Well.
So I don't know. I I can't get behind it yet.
Sooner or later, you don't know what. You you may be out there hunting squirrels. I don't know how this is my generation is doomed if we have to go into that. Yeah, you know, I've often wondered about that. Yeah.
Gen Xers, we're going to survive. But I do wonder millennials. Mm, I don't know. Yeah, well we're worried about losing power, but Gen Z's worried about losing Wi-Fi, so. That's That's the problem you have to worry about.
Yeah, that's not even on my top ten list of things to Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. It is what it is. All right, got to take a break here, folks. 901-260-5926. You know, the Congressman made a pretty good point.
Problem here is you Christians are not going out and voting. Why are you Christians not going out to vote? 901-260-5926 This is the Todd Sorens Show. And welcome back. This is the Todd Sterns radio show.
Happy to have you with us today. By the way, um Chip Roy is uh currently grilling Jack Smith during this House Judiciary Committee, and Roy says, hey, wait a second, I want to know something. Am I on the list? Did you target my records and subpoena my phone records? And Jack Smith said yes.
My understanding is your records were subpoenaed by prosecutors before I became special counsel.
Now Chip Royce said We called ATNT. And we learned they were given to the Department of Justice because I'd been in communication with Scott Perry. He says it's far more concerning that you are clearly targeting American citizens for merely being conservative or. supporting the President. Roy went on to say that a federal judge stated a prosecutor who continues to sign his name in court filings after a disqualification order should face discipline.
Or disbarment. And that's true.
So again. What's going to happen as a result of all of this? Great hearings. No doubt about it. Wall to wall hearings.
Powerful stuff. Shocking. Shocking testimony. But what are they going to do about it? Is Jack Smith going to jail?
I don't think so.
So now, my question is: okay, well, how much money are we spending on all of this? I mean, are you okay with your tax dollars being squandered? Because. That ultimately is what's happening with all of these hearings, going back years. Years going all the way back to the Barack Hussein Obama administration.
years, folks. And nothing was ever done. 901-260-5926, our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926. I want to go back and play some audio.
This is from Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger. She is one of the great patriots up on Capitol Hill. Take a listen. Congresswoman, good to have you with us this evening. You know, the reality here: the left says, oh, ICE agents are storming church houses when, in fact, it's actually Don Lemon and these far-left nut jobs.
What say you? Well, I say the president is sending in and abiding by federal law by sending these ICE agents in to gather up pedophiles and rapists and murderers. And wouldn't a community not want that? Of course they would. And when you see that their own community is not stepping in to take care of that and for the safety of its own citizens, then it's our duty as a federal government to step in and take care of business.
And that's what the president's doing.
So, Jasmine Crockett, who's the left-winger from Texas, says Republicans like yourself are actually funding law enforcement in order to go after minorities. Let's watch this. You only love law enforcement when they're going after black, brown, immigrants, that kind of folk, right? But on January 6th, you didn't care about law enforcement because they still don't have their plaques up. We continue to do the right thing and say, yes, apply the rules equally across the board, and then y'all play in our faces, and you only apply it to one side.
Oh my I don't get it. Look, by the way, more than fifty percent of Border Patrol agents are actually Hispanic, and I'm wondering what your reaction is to what Jasmine Crockett is saying.
Well, I mean, we have to listen to that all the time.
So that's just talking points for Ms. Crockett. And listen, Todd, I mean, you know, if you can't defend the things that the American public voted us to do, then you're going to throw shade on anything else. And that's what she does. And she has ulterior motives, and she's running for Senate.
But look, this is just a talking point for her and for the left. And these ICE agents, you know, attacks on the ICE agents have gone up by 8,000%. Those men and women are there to do a job, and that is to take care of these rapists, murderers, pedophiles. It doesn't matter what color they are or anything else. The fact is, the law is the law, but these people want lawlessness, and that's what you're seeing.
And the left and our colleagues on the other side are promoting this, and they want to rile their base up. I mean, there's a midterm coming up, and this is how they do it. I want to get your reaction to the work of the ICE agents. In your home state, there, you're in East Tennessee, but in Memphis, where ICE has been deployed along with federal agencies, it's been phenomenal. Crime in Memphis down 70%.
People feel like they can go out and hang out on Beale Street and enjoy the downtown area. Thousands of people arrested and hundreds of missing children located. I don't know what the left has to complain about here. Nothing. They drum something up.
Like I say, they want to rile their base up so they can get sympathy. And that drives the voter out when they have misinformation. But good on Governor Lee for allowing them to come in and say, We need help in Memphis. You know, like you said, you can go down Bill Street now, and how many unaccompanied children have they found going in to get these illegals who have committed crimes?
Now, these are people who are the worst of the worst. And the whole goal and what we're doing with this homeland appropriation is we need to find out where these children are. And when you don't know, we don't know what those little babies are going through either. And I mean, that is the conviction that I have. We need to find these children.
And I'm proud of ICE agents for going into Memphis. And like you said, they're at the other end of the state, but you want to welcome them when you don't have law enforcement that can handle the job. All right. And you can listen to the entire interview over on my website, ToddSterns.com.
So be sure to check all of that out. All right. We're going to wrap things up here. You guys have been very kind today. And we certainly appreciate you hanging out with us noon to 30.
