And we're in a position right now where we have. Residents. That are asking the very limited number of police officers that we have. to fight ICE agents on the street. to stand by their neighbors.

We cannot be at a place right now. in America. where we have two governmental entities that are literally fighting one another. Why are we put in this position? We're put in this position because we have approximately 600 police officers in Minneapolis, far fewer that are able to work at any given time.

Yeah. And there are approximately 3,000 ICE agents in the area. 3,000. All right. That was Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frye last night, ladies and gentlemen, and it's gone from bad to worse in Minneapolis.

President Trump now threatening to invoke the Insurrection Act to put down the rebellion there. We've got a very busy show today, so let's get right at it, everybody. I want to go to the Patriot Mobile newsmaker line and say hello to our good friend, Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn, running for governor now of the volunteer state. Senator, good to have you with us today. It is so good to be with you.

Thank you so much. Senator, let's just get at it here. The situation in Minneapolis, what do you recommend that the President do here? I mean, we're just looking at not just lawlessness on the streets, but you've got people that are now taking up arms against federal law enforcement. The amount of violence that you are seeing against federal law enforcement is something that I think has been shocking.

To many people. And I have had so many Tennesseans say, Look, these are criminal illegal aliens that they are apprehending. Why will Minneapolis not work with? The ICE agents, why are they not working with federal law enforcement? Because, Todd, who would want to have Criminals In their neighborhood.

No one wants to have a criminal living next to them. And when you go to the ICE website, You can see some of the charges on these people. It is rape, it is child molestation, it is aggravated assault, it is robbery, it is murder. And these are people that have orders of deportation against them. They have committed crimes.

And why? The mayor and the governor will not work with ICE is, you know, it's something that is very difficult to understand. I'm just really concerned about these law enforcement officers. I mean, this poor guy last night who got ambushed, three people three on one, and they were smashing the guy around with a shovel. You just really, you really wonder why is it the governor is out there instead of telling people to stand down, let's take a break here, breathe, he's telling people to just get in the faces of these law enforcement officers.

It is absolutely unbelievable. And as you say, the guy was there doing his job. He is a federal law enforcement officer. And they these illegal aliens The man the mayor keeps referencing as being shot was an illegal alien. Who had an order of deportation against him because he had committed crimes.

So why he would not say thank you, I. for helping our police. Clean up. This situation, you know, it is beyond us. I just find it so difficult to comprehend why he would not want to have the help and assistance advice.

It's insane. And again, you've got the media, everybody has an agenda here. They're trying to shove a phony narrative down the throats of the American people. And, you know, for example, in Memphis, where we originate our broadcast, you've got state Democrats that are saying, oh, a Tennessee highway patrolman tried to ram one of the protesters on a street in Memphis when, in fact, the dash cam video showed that the protester was pulling a LeBron James. And you know, this is one of the dash cams.

And some of these cell phones are so important because you can see. That the guy is stepping in front of the car, and the trooper can be heard on the camera saying, Move, get out of my way, get out of my way, move. And instead, the protester shakes his head. And then he is, this is somebody who is defying and obstructing the work. of law enforcement.

Senator Marcia Blackburn on our Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line today, and we have a lot of ground to cover, Senator, but I got to give you a shout out because you have, I mean, it's you see these issues and you address them and your colleagues join you in the fight. We've got to talk about the Fraud Accountability Act, because that's a big part of the whole illegal immigration invasion that we've been dealing with. Yes, it is. And Ben Blackman, who is our chief counsel, Good Memphis. A good Memphis man.

Um and Ben and I were talking about the deportations and denaturalizations of these that have committed fraud in Minnesota and looking at the Immigration and Nationality Act and realized not all fraud was considered either a deportable and or denaturalization event.

So, what we did was to draft legislation that tightened up that code so that all fraud is considered a deportable event. The code had been fraud above $10,000. And as we have seen from these fraud dents and fraud schemes, in Minnesota. They were very craftily done.

so that someone may employ everybody from their family.

So they could have given each of them $9,999 per event, and they would not have been in violation of the law.

So tightening it up so that all fraud is deportable. Making certain that it is fraud committed against not only federal, but state, local governments, and private citizens. Because there's a tremendous amount of fraud these fraud bins are carrying out against senior citizens. and they're bilking them out of their life savings. And so we also put in there a provision that once someone has.

Committed this fraud, then they can be apprehended and held. Until their deportation and denaturalization hearing, and that any federal court. not just an immigration court, any federal court can conduct that hearing. I want to switch gears real quick here because yesterday was just a huge, a huge day. The hearings, or several days ago, the hearings at the Supreme Court.

We had Bruce Pearl on my Newsmax show giving a blow-by-blow of what we were seeing. It was just really shocking, Senator. And I want to go back in the time machine if we can. And Dylan, I want to play this is a conversation you had during confirmation hearings with Justice Jackson. Let's take a listen to that.

Can you provide a definition for the word woman? Can I provide a definition? Yeah. I can't. You can't?

Not in this context. The meaning of the word woman is so unclear and controversial that you can't give me. A definition? And Senator, here we are and she still can't provide anybody with the definition. You're so right about that.

And I put a clip up on my social media with a whiteboard. 2X chromosome and XY chromosome to help her understand it is male and female. She should go read Genesis 1. And see, you know, we've got man and we've got woman. And of course, the definition, if you go to the dictionary and look it up, the definition of woman is adult female.

So It should be clear to her. It is not. It was apparent yesterday. She hadn't, but you know, Todd, I asked her that question because. I had told her I felt like this issue.

of that men and women's sports was going to ultimately end up at the Supreme Court. And I wanted to see where she was on the issue. And of course, she wanted to punt the question and not give me an answer on that.

So therefore, I Aye. Pivoted to ask her if she could even provide me the definition of the word woman.

So uh she still can't. And it seems to me, Senator, if you can't even define that very word, then you really can't go forward on any of this transgender legislation at all because you can't define anything. Let's try. That's exactly right. because her opinion will be skewed by the fact That obviously she does not know what she is talking about.

When it comes to deciding if men should be in women's sports, because she cannot define for you what is a woman. Senator, real quick, before we let you go, I know that you follow our skateboarding friend from East Tennessee, Tim Burchett, and he's pretty riled up right now at the Senate and is really wanting you guys to abolish the filibuster. Where do you stand on that? And what do you say to a lot of folks that are frustrated by the slowdown, it seems, in the Senate when it comes to the President's agenda?

Well, actually, you know, we have moved a little bit faster than the house has moved this year. And so we've confirmed more people at this point in time for Donald Trump than we had for Joe Biden. at this point in time. And we had moved forward with all of our approach bills out of committee before the House did. With that said, there are some of us that would like to be moving even at a faster clip.

And the filibuster, you know, you got to have sixty votes. In order to do away with it. And I honestly do not think those sixty votes. Exists. The frustration is there, the desire to get this.

Train moving a little bit faster. We wish the house would have stayed in when they took that. Six weeks sabbatical in the fall, and would have been passing some of those approach bills. I do understand they're going to pass. Five next week, which will be a really good thing.

We look forward to getting them over here so that we don't have another government shutdown.

Well, nobody wants to see that. And real quick, before we let you go, running for governor, the last poll I saw, you just, I mean, it's pretty much, you know, you're a shoe-in. But when you do take the oath and you assume the governor's office, what is going to be the number one issue in the Blackburn administration? Yeah, and you know the um We don't take anything for granted. I am working hard every single day and will continue to do so.

As I've talked to people around the state, they talk about how we have been such a well-led, well-governed state.

So we've got a great foundation, and as President Trump is sending power, money, authority back to the state, our goal should be to have Tennessee become America's conservative leader, where we're protecting our kids, we are prosperous, and we are. Providing the type of education and jobs that people in our state want to see, that we are increasing and expanding our infrastructure that is accommodating this growth that we have seen. And my hope is that we will be the most free. State in the United States of America. All right.

MarciaBlackburn.com, ladies and gentlemen. Go check out her campaign page. All sorts of great information there. Senator, thanks for going overtime with us, and we really appreciate you and the great work you're doing up on Capitol Hill. Thanks so much.

Take care. Bye now. All right. There you go. Senator Marcia Blackburn, right out of the gate, touching on a couple of the really big issues, ladies and gentlemen.

By the way, I want to thank Andy, who's your yesterday, stepping in at the last minute. I certainly appreciate him filling in yesterday. All right. The question is very simple. You have seen what's happening in Minnesota.

Is it time for President Trump to officially step in and declare an insurrection, send in the military, and clean out all of these criminal thugs? Our telephone number, 901-260-5926. We're going right to the phone lines, 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show. Every so often, a film comes along that challenges us to look closer at what's happening in our own backyard.

Sexploited is that film, a gripping new four-part docu series that uncovers the reality of sexual exploitation happening in every community in America. You will hear from survivors, law enforcement, and advocates who are fighting to expose and end this modern-day slavery. It's not easy to watch, but it's something every American needs to see. You can stream Sexploited right now or purchase the DVD by visiting sexploitedfilm.com or SalemNow.com. That's sexploitedfilm.com or SalemNow.com.

Watch it, share it, and stand with those working to bring freedom and justice to the exploited. All right, welcome back, everybody. This is the Todd Stearns Radio Show. Should the President invoke the Insurrection Act 901-260-5926, let's start our day in Ocala, Florida.

Sonny listening to us on WOCA. Hey, sonny, what say you? I could I say that it's long overdue. These people, when they came in here, they're protecting people that are legal. To begin with, when you cross the border without a visa or any permission or written permission.

You are you are a a criminal. But if we can't round them up and the demonstrators there of demonstrating against that. They believe should be wound up, put in a stadium somewhere, or better yet. The c uh the federal government should have a uh a battalion of water cannons. I'm quite sure they would not like to get wet as demonstrating.

And, you know, it it's Would he create them with kid gloves? And and and this uh Not fair to the Americans, and it's not fair to law uh. patriotic citizens of the United States.

Well, Sonny, I will say this, and there's a difference between being a peaceful protester, right? If you want to get out there and you want to spend all day marching on a sidewalk, you have a constitutional right to do that. You do not have a constitutional right to block highways or interstates or roadways. You do not have a constitutional right to go out there and bash ICE agents over the head with shovels. I mean, these are agents that are out there doing their conducting official police law enforcement business.

And you have no right as a private citizen to interfere with that. I agree. It's the law. You're breaking the law by interfering. And that's why they should be rounded up.

at least put into a stadium. for like twenty four hours while they get processed.

Well, here's and Sonny, thank you for the call. And and again, When you you talk about the Insurrection Act, we're talking about A president going in, and by the way, a governor or the legislature of Minnesota could actually ask for federal assistance. Governor's not going to do that. The governor out there, and he wants this. The governor yesterday told the citizens of Minneapolis to get out their cell phones and get in the faces of these ICE agents.

How do you think that's going to end? Folks. How do you think that's going to end? You've got the governor of Minnesota now saying, and we'll play some audio coming up after the break. The governor is saying that ICE agents are now going door to door and ordering people to turn in their neighbors of color.

This is insanity So again, the President does have the right to enforce Federal law. And that's what the president's going to have to do here. And I got to tell you, Mr. President, you can't stop threatening. You got to.

You gotta start doing. How many times have you warned Minnesota? It's time to send in the military and put down this nonsense. All right, 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show.

Hey folks, Angel Studios is having their biggest sale of the year, and it's one you don't want to miss. Right now, you can get an Angel Guild membership for as low as $6.99 a month for 12 months, plus two free tickets to see David, the brand new animated musical about the Shepherd boy who became a king in theaters this Christmas. A deal so good it pays for itself.

Now, listen, I talk a lot about protecting our families, what we watch, what we bring into our homes, and this is one of the easiest ways to do it. This is Angel's lowest price of the year, and honestly, it's the kind of gift that keeps on giving entertainment that fills your home with light, and that's something worth supporting. Go to angel.com/slash stars and take advantage of their biggest sale of the year. Federal government is raining down upon our communities. 2,000 to 3,000 armed agents of the federal government have been deployed to Minnesota.

Armed. Mast. undertrained ICE agents. are going door to door. ordering people to point out where their neighbors of color live.

That's the governor of Minnesota, Tampon Tim Waltz. That guy is supposed to be telling everybody to step back and take a breath. Instead, he's telling everybody to get in their face because Trump is rounding up all the black and brown people. This is bonkers.

So, look, here's what I'm afraid of. I'm afraid we're going to start seeing some dead ICE agents. That's what has me concerned here. Because now all of these people feel emboldened. There is literal anarchy right now.

On the streets of Minneapolis.

So I want to go to the phones. A lot of you wanting to weigh in here: 901-260-5926. Let's go to Jerry in Milwaukee. All right, Jerry, what say you?

Okay, Todd. First of all, I don't want to end and abolish ICE as an agency. I don't want to eliminate all immigration. For someone on the left, I'm probably maybe slightly more conservative on this issue than some.

So I don't want to demolish ICE as an agency, but I want them to obey the Constitution. I want them to abide by the Constitution. I just because I see someone with darker colored skin, I don't think want that as a criteria for detaining someone and arresting them as they did in a Minneapolis Target with Target employees. Um I I I don't like People called domestic terrorists like Renee Goode by our government after she was shot and killed because Because That's the line, though, I guess.

Well, Jerry, no, no, no. I don't like to call somebody a domestic terrorist either. But when you are intentionally stalking ICE agents and then you ram your vehicle into an ICE agent, causing him serious injuries, that's domestic terrorism in my book. She did not do that. She did not do that.

She did. She was literally turning it up. No, I looked at the video numerous times. She was not trying to ram. She was turning to the right.

The opposite direction of where that ICE officer was standing. And that ICE officer followed his last two shots in the side window, not in the front window, in the side window. What was he doing there that was defensive and saving his own life and shooting the last few shots in the side window? I mean, No, no, no, no, no. Jerry, I've got to correct you there.

I've got to correct you. The shot went through the windshield because she was about to run the guy over and make him a hood ornament on that SUV. That's probably not true. No, it's not. We've got the video, Jerry.

It's not. That is not. Those are facts not in dispute. No, no, she was turning clearly in the direction of the right. But, you know, let's put that aside.

You can't put it aside. It's a truth, it's a fact.

Well, the fact is that she was clearly turning the other way, and the last two shots were on the side. But look at you you're attacking Tim Wallace. What Tim Wallace said was that. People should record ICE agents. He didn't say get in their face.

He said record. Do you care? You know exactly what he's talking about. You know exactly what he's talking about, Jerry. Yes, the First Amendment, utilizing the First Amendment to record to peacefully record that.

I didn't hear the word peacefully anywhere. He hasn't said anything about peace being peaceful about it. He said for them to record agents. You know, that's a peaceful action. You do that, you don't violate the law.

Our rights are still protected, even under the Trump administration. We still have First Amendment rights for now, at least. We still have the right to record the police. I know Trump has disdained and contempt for that idea, and Trump doesn't like the First Amendment when it comes to the rights. Jerry, again, no, no, no, I'm not going to let you get away with this now because you're not coming to the show armed with facts here.

Where is your evidence that ICE agents are going door to door and targeting black and brown people?

Well, I don't know. They said they were going. I think, I don't know if it was Chrissy Noam, but they made a statement that they were going door to door. I did not say, I'm not saying that they're targeting black. You just said they were targeting black and brown people.

They're not. I'm saying they're going door to door. They made their own statement that they're going door to door. Not to necessarily target brown and black people, but for people who aren't here illegally.

So I don't know what that means exactly. Are they going to just. Demand people come to their door and show their papers. I don't understand what that means. If you are here legally, Jerry, and we gotta leave it here.

If you're here legally, you got nothing to worry about. ICE is in Minneapolis, and there are all these other cities to round up. the illegals. 901-260-5926 is our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926.

Um want to go to the Patriot mobile newsmaker line and say hello to. Gina, you know what? Gina Gleason, the director of Jack Hibbs, Real Impact Ministries. Gina, good to have you with us today.

Well, glad to be with you, Todd. Gina, a lot happening, of course, around the country. We've been talking a lot about Minnesota, but there's a lot happening in California as well. And you guys seem to be at the epicenter of all the good that is happening as conservatives, as Christians are rising up and fighting back.

Well, we try to be. We're monitoring everything that's going on, elections, legislation, current issues, and we're making sure that the church, that Christians know what's actually taking place in California. When you look at the work of Jack, and we love having him on the show, he is just such a fierce warrior. It seems like he is leading a charge really to bring this state back to what it once was, in the sense of California really being the epicenter of the conservative movement. That has been part of his ministry since the very beginning, many, many years ago.

And he's developed it into this Very influential. church that is speaking biblical truth and how it pertains to our lives as we walk on this earth and how we vote and how we look at the issues that are affecting our families. You know, it's interesting. You guys just had a huge event there on the campus of Calvary Chapel, Chino Hills. I know our good buddy Steve Hilton, who is running for governor, is just, I mean, the polling is just off the charts.

Michael Gates, running for Attorney General, we're going to be getting him on. Tell us about that event you guys had yesterday.

Well, it was a phenomenal event, just totally packed out. And it was high energy. They got standing ovations. It was just so wonderful to hear How are these two men going to get elected and really fundamentally change? the future of California by bringing good policies that are good for everyone.

And they joined as a team along with Gloria Romero. and others, and they are just phenomenal. I hope that people get a chance to watch what happened last night at Calvary Chapel, Chino Hills in California, because I think people will be encouraged.

Well, I think so. And again, you know, there are so many people out there. Gina, and they're like, okay, that's it. I'm done. We're getting the U-Haul.

We're moving to Texas. We're moving to Tennessee. But I I'm just I always encourage people, don't do that. Stay. Fight.

You know, we've got to have good, strong Christians. We've got to have strong conservatives that are fighting for the cause there in the Golden State, or nothing's going to change. Absolutely. And our goal is to encourage people to stay and to fight and to be well informed Christians, well informed voters because their votes, if they leave, what happens to the future of California? We can never get it back if we don't have a voting uh public that really stands for the right things.

I just love this.

Well, Gina, we're just so excited about what you guys are doing. And we're huge fans of Steve Hilton, and we're really hopeful because I think because of the work of Real Impact Ministries and Calvary Chapel, that you guys could very well have a Republican in the governor's mansion come election day. Last night, the comments that I received after the event was that people felt hopeful. And I haven't heard that for a very long time in California. Wow.

I love to hear that.

Well, Gina, thank you for calling in today. We just appreciate the great ministry that Jack Hibbs and the whole team you and the whole team are doing down there in Southern California. Oh, thank you. All right. Gina Gleason, everybody, Director of Real Impact, which is a ministry of our good friend Jack Ibbs, part of the Real Life Network.

And we'll be hearing more about those folks. Folks, if we can save California, imagine what we can do with the rest of the country. I mean, it really is that simple. All right. Want to go real quick before we have to take a break here?

I want to go to North Carolina, Charles and Davidson, listening to us on WSIC. Charles, it's been a while. Hope you're doing well. What's your take on what we're seeing happen in Minnesota right now? Todd, my take is what we are watching is a full-blown rebellion and insurrection and President Trump needs to invoke the Insurrection Act.

And I have a message for Jerry, all the liberals out there, Tim Walls. And anybody that tries to say that this is a state's rights issue and that sort of thing. This is not. You know, back during the Civil War, secession was never in the Constitution written down, and so. The South used that as a reason to technically say that they could withdraw from the union.

since they had voluntarily joined. But fast forward to the date, Todd, and The Constitution clearly gives the federal government of the United States the power To enforce immigration law and protect against an invasion. Article four, section four of the Constitution. You have numerous immigration laws that Congress has passed from 1790. all the way to the present.

And it is up to the federal government to decide who was a citizen and who was not.

So, this is, and for people to say otherwise, just don't know the Constitution, and they're spreading lies, just like I see. People standing out here at Titan Davidson over exit thirty bridge with these signs calling ice. Terrorist X terrorist and calling for justice for Renee Good.

So they're just lying to the people. And I think President Trump needs to go on television and tell The nation and Minneapolis that they're in full-blown rebellion, and they can either shape up now. or he's going to invoke the Insurrection Act because Todd, if he doesn't, It's going to spread to other states and other cities. No, well, you're right, Charles, and that's my concern here because these insurrectionists are looking, they're all paying attention to what's happening right now in Minneapolis. And if this President, what's going to happen here is President Trump, and we're starting to see this with Iran, and I don't mean to conflate both of these issues, but It's, you know, President Trump is like one more time.

If one more person is killed, I mean, you got thousands of people that are getting slaughtered in the streets of Iran, and we're saying one more, we're giving you one more chance. And the same thing is happening in Minnesota. And the administration will risk losing the narrative here, you know, because Donald Trump got elected, he was a man of action. He was a man who did something. There were no threats.

He did it.

So we've got to get back to those. We've got to get back to that Donald Trump Charles, or this whole thing is going to unravel. Oh, quite a percent agree, and I would be more concerned about Minneapolis than I am to run. The biggest threat to our country is inside our borders right now. It's not in Tehran.

But I just I just what I'm seeing right now, I just it's like we're history's repeating itself. You know, it goes back to eighteen sixty and here the Democratic Party is again. And 2026. Trying to use the same playbook that they get to decide what federal law they can and do not have to obey. And that's just not the way it works.

It's just not the way it works at all. All right, Charles, got to leave it there. Good to hear from you. Our telephone number, 901-260-5926. Again, that's 901-260-5926.

Hey, real quick, during the break, I got a note from Joe Schubert, who is a loyal listener in Gainesville, Georgia, WTUN. And he was listening to our conversation with Senator Marcia Blackburn. He believes that if he heard Blackburn correctly, she said it takes 60 votes to remove the filibuster. Joe says that's only partially correct and leaves out an important point about how the Senate actually operates. And Joe goes on to explain.

He's absolutely right, ladies and gentlemen. The filibuster is a bit of Senate history, a tradition. Right, it's not a hard and fast rule.

So we have been calling on the Senate to use the nuclear option and blow up the filibuster so we can get the president's agenda through the U.S. Senate. And, Joe, I appreciate you paying attention to the details there. Let's go to the phones here: 901-260-5926. Ron in Texas, listening to us on Patriot Talk 920.

Hi, Ron. What's on your mind? Oh, hello, thank you very much for taking my call. Yeah, it says I told you, screener. I've been doing some research on this, and everything that I can find says that the Constitution of the United States.

says or is at least implies That I have a right, and so does every American citizen, to be safe. to have my property safe, my family safe and be able to pursue my goals. And the federal government has an obligation. to protect those rights. With that being said, When we see groups Our individuals or mayors or judges.

Nobody has immunity to this. Uh if they impede The federal turn does it. from being able to protect those rights They are in violation. But my civil rights. And now Somebody has actually lost their life.

But how she goes way beyond Just the five to ten year type of thing that the law requires now that somebody has lost their life. What is your opinion on that? Mr. Stars? My opinion o on what?

Exactly. Are these groups, are these judges, are these people that are impeding? The federal law enforcement From protecting my rights, are they violating my civil rights?

Well, I would say yes. And again, you've got to go back to the code, the U.S. Code, about the Insurrection Act. And there are three scenarios that you can actually invoke the Insurrection Act. And one of them is something you just mentioned: the deprivation of your rights.

So if your rights are being violated, especially by the 14th Amendment, then the federal government has a right to step in and protect your civil liberties.

So, the DOJ should be going after these groups that are inciting these people. Yeah. That are impeding law enforcement based on civil rights. What a twist.

Well, it twists the desk, huh?

Now we're standing up going, hey, you're violating our civil rights.

Well, it's, Ron, I have great frustration with the Justice Department, right, because they're not even doing that. And I know that there are people saying, just wait, give it time. We don't have time. The clock is ticking. And so we've got to do something here.

As Charles from North Carolina said, if we don't stop this in Minneapolis, it's going to explode across the country. Ron, I've got to run, but thank you for that call. If you're on hold, don't go anywhere. We're going to get to your calls right after this quick break. We'll be right back, everybody.

Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's America's conservative blowtorch. Right, I know. Love is American. Here. Tods.

Star. All right, so we have some new intel here, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome.

So the Todd Sterns radio program, your voice of truth and hope. and common sense across this great land. New intel coming from the Department of Homeland Security. Over what happened last night, and I want to share this with you. This is coming from DHS.

They have now released the identities of the three men involved in the shooting in North Minneapolis. Homeland Security says the three used shovels and broomsticks as weapons after ICE attempted to arrest Julio Cesar Sosacelles. Geez a loo, said Mr.

Sounds like the menu at Chipotle. This guy, Julio Cesar Sosasilis, was in the country illegally from Venezuela. Christina says the officer who was hit by the shovel is badly beaten up and injured and getting treatment. It just angers me. And hang tight.

We're going to get to your calls in a moment. But this angers me. Because this is all preventable. What have we been talking about for two weeks? We've been trying to tell the administration: we got problems here.

And if you guys don't step in, and I don't know about you, and I love my president. But ladies and gentlemen, this administration right now, the Republican Party as a whole, they've gone to a you-know-where and a you-know-what. No, hell in a handbasket. That's what that means, Dylan.

Sorry, I was trying not to use the word because, you know, I get to put on somebody's prayer list at the church. Not that I don't have a problem with them.

Well, could you please pray for Todd Starnes? He's just got a potty mouth. Party mouth I want to read the statement here from the Homeland Security Department. Federal law enforcement officers were conducting a targeted traffic stop. Of an illegal alien from Venezuela, he had been released into the country by Joe Biden in 2022.

The man evaded arrest. The subject fled the scene, crashed into a parked car and then fled on foot. The law enforcement officer caught up to the subject on foot and attempted to apprehend him. when the subject began to resist and violently assault the officer. While the subject and law enforcement were in a struggle on the ground, two subjects came out of a nearby apartment and also attacked the law enforcement officer with a snow shovel and a broom handle.

As the officer was being ambushed and attacked. By the two individuals, the original subject got loose and began striking the officer with a shovel or broomstick as well. Fearing for his life and safety as he was being ambushed. The officer fired a defensive shot to defend his life. The initial subject was hit in the leg.

Yeah. All three ran back into the apartment and barricaded themselves. The attacked officer and subject are both in the hospital. Both of the attackers are in custody. This is unacceptable, ladies and gentlemen, just unacceptable.

This is the number that you need to pay attention to. Federal law enforcement officers facing a 1,300% increase in assaults. Thirteen hundred percent. And that is just unacceptable.

So again, the first suspect identified as Julio Cesar Sosasilis. From Venezuela The next guy, an illegal alien from Venezuela, his name Alfredo Alejandro Aljordna. I hope I rolled my tongue enough for that one. And the last one, another illegal.

So we got three illegals from Venezuela. Gabriel Alejandro Hernandez Leukemia. My apologies, Ledzema. It's hard. Way too many letters.

Way too many letters. So let me just say something here. Three illegal aliens and here's the headline that the media will not talk about. Three illegal aliens beat the holy living hell out of a law-abiding American federal agent. And I don't know about you, but I'm mad about that, and you ought to be mad.

And the administration ought to be mad. Let's go to Minneapolis, or let's go to Texas rather. Wes is listening to us on Patriot Talk 920. Wes, what say you? Oh boy, I was just, I mean, I think you just kind of hit the nail on the head just a while ago about talking about snow shovels.

because I wanted to respond to the Rene Goods shooting Desert I mean, there's clearly snow on the ground. And these people talking about how the ICE or the ICE federal agent should have just jumped out of the way. If there's snow and ice on the streets, he's not going to be able to do that very well. Wes, when you hear that this federal agent was nearly beaten to death. By three illegals on American soil.

I mean, you're a Texan. What goes through your mind? Uh I think Dan Bogino was right. Q T harm is over. I mean, it I mean, there needs to be something done, period.

Trump should have rained down hellfire and brimstone on Minneapolis. And, Wes, thank you for that call. But now that we have these particulars There needs to be Marines, boots on the ground in Minneapolis. And I'm telling you, I would think that without... Within a weekend, I think the Marines will be able to clean out the infestation of illegals in Minneapolis.

And I guarantee you, the city will be better off because of it. All right, let's go to John in Moorhead City, North Carolina, the talk station. John, what's on your mind? Todd, I think I got a simple solution. Let's go back to the old West.

and have bounty hunters. which give anybody that finds a illegal evidence Ten thousand dollars. For each one they catch, They really Good at doing it. One hundred of them be a millionaire for that person. He is I can guarantee you.

The boat ride home will be pretty easy for them. Because uh everybody would probably want to go for that free money. Then somebody knows a where they live and Where they earn their income, if it's legal or illegal. Go. Let's do it that way.

They take them and walk them down to the ICE facility and turn them in and if they are identified as illegal, they get their ten thousand dollars. And the money from this No. Right. doing away with the sanctions city status that President wants due on february the first, That's where the money can come from. Let them spend the state's money where it needs to be removing these aliens that are not authorized to be Amer.

in the United States. John, at this point, I would consider every illegal alien in America to be an enemy combatant. That's and when I see what's happening in Minnesota, I look at a rogue state now. There is no law and order there. And look, I like your idea.

I do think, though, that ICE agents. given if they're given the right resources, they're going to be able to go in there and do that job for us. But John, appreciate the call, and thank you for listening. Let's go to Gainesville, Georgia. Steve is on the line.

Steve, what say you? Uh I say that um I was listening to your station this morning, WDUN. Martha is down at the state capitol.

So Dr. Smiley filled in.

Okay, well let me jump in here, Steve. Yeah, this is a national radio show, so most of the audience may not be aware of what's happening at WDUN, but go ahead and finish your thought. I'm going to tell you who called in. It was a member. of this organization that's up there.

And she was clear on their statement, who they are. They were organized the first term. of Trump to get rid of Trump. They're highly organized, tens of thousands of members. She told, I was driving, I didn't get a chance to write it down.

She told who they are. I think these people could be deemed a a terrorist organization. 'Cause she said their goal is to take down America. Wow. Okay.

Those people usually don't call these. Yeah. No, it it's true, but you know what? They feel emboldened. Steve, they're not afraid because they know there are not going to be any repercussions.

I mean, that's really the reality. Um It just seems to me that we are now in a situation. where some very tough decisions are going to have to be made as far as what do we do here. Should the governor be taken into custody? Definitely certainly the mayor should because they've been instigating a lot of this.

And I think there is a there are laws on the books. That would allow that to happen. But I, and by the way, we've got, we're going to play some audio here momentarily from Christy Noam just moments ago. She was on Fox. And she just had a private conversation With Tim Waltz.

And Waltz is now coming out and saying, oh, okay, we need to tone it down. But the reality is he's the one who poured gasoline On the fire. He did. And if that man is still in office by the end of the day, I don't know that we're going to be able to come out of this. on the other side.

Steve, thank you for the call. All right, got to take a break here. We'll get to that audio from Secretary Noam in just a few moments. Again, our number, nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. That's nine oh one two six zero.

All right, let's go to Griffin, Georgia. Michael is on the line. Hi, Michael. What's on your mind today? But How are you doing, sir?

I'm doing well, Michael. Turn your radio down there so you don't get any feedback. What can I do for you? What's on your mind? Yes.

I'm want to talk about immigration here. I want to know. Why? white immigrants had never been deported. You know, it's thousands of them probably gonna overstay their business.

So why they ain't n being deported? Why they not hunt them down like animals? What they not doing then? Who where are you getting your information that they're not deporting any white people? No, no, no, I'm just asking you a question.

I'll let you answer. Hold on. I'm going to let you answer, but let me finish the question. Let me finish the question. Where's your evidence there they're not deporting white people?

Have you seen any white person on television ever getting deported? Available. Yes. No, you have not. Yes, as a matter of fact.

Well, Caroline Levitt, the one are you going to hold up now. You know what, Michael? We've got to establish some rules of engagement here. You're going to ask me a question. I'll answer it, but you've got to give me time to answer it.

Caroline Levitt, one of her family members, one of the relatives turned out to be here illegally overstayed a visa, and ICE came and arrested the person.

Okay, is he depoted? I have no earthly idea to deport us. No, I d I don't know the answer to that question. But let me ask you this.

So are you is your argument, Michael, what is your argument that Trump is only going after black and brown people? Yeah. Y you you ain't got no answer for that. Name one. What are you talking about?

You say I'm saying is white people have overstayed their visa. Where is your proof? No, no, no, Michael. Michael, you're coming onto my program and telling me that no white people are being depoted.

So my question to you, sir, is, where is your evidence of that? You're the one bringing the argument, so you've got to bring the facts, the evidence, to back up your argument. Sir, you say it's a press secretary. Uh in law They arrested her, but do you have any evidence she left the country? I have no earthly idea.

Michael, you just called up. But again, you're not. You're not answering my question. Where is your evidence? And what is the point of all of it?

What are you trying to say here?

Okay, well, let's move on from there. I want to know let's talk about this mega. And I want to know, they should make America great again. When was America great? You ain't got to give me no years.

Just give me a decade. When was America great when it was founded? I think America has always been great. I believe that America is the most exceptional nation on the world. When it was founded, it was still slaves first on that street.

You sound a little angry today, Michael. Why are you angry? Shackles just make America great. May I ask you a question? Were you ever a slave?

Have you been enslaved? Are you wearing shackles right now? I hope not. If you are, let me know where you're at and I'll come and catch you. America was great when it was found.

And and and that was great. You call that great? Man, give me a decade with marriage, but you don't even have to give me no year. Give me a decade. Let me ask you this, Michael.

Let me ask you this. Where's your anger at The African warlords who Who sold Who sold black people into slavery? Where is your anger over that? What is my anger at O event? Yeah, I'm just curious.

Yes, I mean, black people selling black people into slavery. I'm just curious. Who enslaved? Excuse me who enslaved? I'm sorry, what now?

White people. White people enslaved them. And who freed the slaves? Who freed the slaves, Michael? Come on, come on.

You know the answer. They're called honkies. Crackers. Salteen Americans. That's who did it.

But you know what? You're all over the place because you came here wanting to talk about. The Trump administration, you claim they're only deporting people of color. Michael, they're not. They're deporting people who are in this country illegally, and by the way, taking away resources predominantly from minority countries or minority communities, rather, which is why blacks overwhelmingly in Chicago's South Side rose up in arms over the fact that the illegals were being dumped into their neighborhoods by the Biden administration, and now Trump is coming to their rescue.

Okay, let me ask you this. What was this country built on? Immigration. Yes, legal immigration. Yes, legal immigration, Michael.

Legal immigration.

Okay, well, let me.

So, no, no, no. I'm going to ask you a question. You come here asking me all these questions. I would ask you a question, Michael. All right.

So, let's just say you've got a scholarship. All right. You've got a scholarship to let's say Harvard University. And you've got two people competing for that scholarship. You've got an illegal alien who snuck across the border to come into our country.

Or you've got A black kid from Atlanta. Who do you give that scholarship to? Who did I get that scholarship to?

Well, probably the black person. And what difference does it make if both of them qualify? What difference does it make if both of them qualify? I'm going to tell you, because if one of them is a law abiding American citizen and the other is not, in my view, you take care of your own people first. This country was built on immigration, sir.

That's right. Legal immigration.

Legal immigration.

Michael, we're going to go on and on and on. And I have no earthly idea what point you're trying to make. But when you look at the people that are coming across Our border. The top five, the top five countries, Mexico, number one, by the way. All of them have predominantly brown people.

Mexico. Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Venezuela. That's it. You want to come to this country? We're done, Michael.

If you want to call back. And you want to come armed with facts, you can do that. But the reality is, Trump is not just knocking on the doors of black and brown people and deporting them. That is not happening. But Trump is going after all of the illegals.

And I got no problem with that. All right, got to take a break. 901-260-5926, our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926. Ugh.

Michael, we love naysayers, but you gotta come armed with the facts and the proof to make your argument. I'm not gonna make your argument for you. You've got to make your argument. Hang tight, everybody. We'll be right back.

Lunch at the Houston Racket Club.

So I hope to see all of you folks there.

Well, I want to welcome into our great studio Luke Simbel, Republican strategist and leader. You know, Luke, I was, where was I at yesterday? And I was ordering a Dr. Pepper, and they said, Do you want ice with your Dr. Pepper?

I said, Extra ice. That's how I like my drinks from now on. Me too, Todd. I want my drinks and my cities filled with extra ice. You know, um, there I I know what's going on in the White House right now, and I know that people are afraid.

They're afraid that if Trump really does pull the trigger here and send in the military, that all you know what's going to break loose. What do you do? You're recommending the president. What do you tell the president to do? I tell the president that while the lame stream media and the far leftists are loud, they are the minority in this country.

And the rest of the country, middle America, is looking at this and saying, why are our citizens allowed to attack law enforcement like this? Why are they allowed to break the law? And there are no consequences. And the local authorities are not taking care of this issue. And it is unacceptable that a federal law enforcement agent is enforcing federal law, is doing his job, and he's being attacked by citizens.

I say, look, we have an insurrection act for a reason. When you look at, for example, people talk about Kent State. In the 60s, the Kent State massacre is what it's been billed at. But if you go back in history and look at that event when students were doing the same things that are happening now in Minnesota, attacking law enforcement in protests, breaking the law in protests, which you are not allowed to do, the First Amendment does not cover it. He sent in the military.

Some students died who were trying to murder law enforcement, and it was overwhelmingly possible. And Nixon was reelected two years later in a landslide that this country had never seen before and has never seen since. And of course, you know, the untold story of Kent State was what led up to the shooting where they were literally burned down an ROTC building on campus.

So there was so much violence, which is why the National Guard was sent in. Yes. And honestly, that violence doesn't even compare to the so-called summer of love that we saw after George Floyd died. And so we know that the rest of the country, the normal folks, honestly, the MAGA. Folks that got Trump elected are looking at this saying, why are these radicals allowed to do it?

The First Amendment does not protect burning down buildings, does not protect blocking streets, does not protect breaking the law. And so, Mr. President, this is no way to allow that we cannot allow this type of behavior, and we've got to shut it down and show that federal law will be upheld. I want to play some audio. I want to switch gears for just a second here.

This is a congressman moments ago really going after his fellow Republicans for not living up to and delivering on the Trump agenda. Let's take a listen. Only a year ago. Several in my party were hyping up Doge, the Department of Government Efficiency. I must ask, where's the enthusiasm now?

Why are we not continuing to slash the waste, fraud, and abuse? We did it with USAID. NPR and PBS. But listen, we can't stop there. While we're wielding the budget acts, Let's be unequivocal about what should never receive another dime of taxpayer money.

Yeah, a lot of people are riled up over that was Congressman, I believe, Harris, out of North Carolina. A lot of people are riled up over this vote. Eighty-one Republicans joined Democrats to send our hard-earned money to a far-left organization that is really designed to attack America. It's insane. It's disgusting.

And I don't know how much louder the American people have to scream, enough is enough. And Republicans have got to start listening to constituents. This is just common sense. Remove the politics from it. Why would you fund an organization that has then turned around to attack you?

It's common sense. And sometimes I feel like the longer our representatives are in the Congress, the less common sense they have. Get out of D.C., go smell some grass, meet with normal, everyday blue-collar people who are barely making buy, and stop spending their freaking money on this crap.

So you've got this all happening in the House now. This is the second. There was another bill that went down in defeat. People are saying, what is going on with Republican leadership? Why are they bringing these issues to a vote, knowing they don't have the numbers?

You know, I I don't Part of me does think that there is health. In bringing things to a vote so that you can get people on the record. And I'm speaking not necessarily as a party operative, but just as a normal voter. I want to see how my representatives are voting. And I would rather Congress be voting on an issue every single day so that I can see, wait.

Is my representative shutting down immigration? Is my representative stopping the money? And then we can hold them accountable. It was Boesberg. That was the other vote.

They voted. They were going to vote to defund Judge Bozberg's office. That's been the guy that's been leading the warfare here, the lawfare against Donald Trump. And the Republicans said no. They are weak.

They are weak. And we need, you know, we won in 2024, but we will not win again if we do not get serious. What more do people said? Donald Trump will never win the primary in 2015 and 2016. Guess what he did?

He'll never win the presidency. Guess what he did? And then he did it again despite all odds. What else do you need to learn about Republicans? And the parties are part of the problem.

And I want to see these votes and we can start holding our representatives accountable through the primary process. That's the purpose. Luke Simbel joining us in studio. And one of the other big stories we've been following is the party and the administration's, they're going soft on the issue of abortion. And the latest coming out of Politico, the ACLU dropping its lawsuit against the Trump administration, this was tens of millions of dollars in family planning funds, and there have been a big lawsuit involved here.

And now we understand that money is being quietly restored or was quietly restored to Planned Parenthood back in December.

Now, there is additional reporting from the Daily Signal that says, well, this is all part of an overarching plan where now the administration is going to be able to go in and seriously defund. I oh, I okay, but again, why are we still giving money to Planned Parenthood? It's a problem. And, you know, so I was reading into this this morning, and there were some issues with the legality of how I guess that the funding, if you pass funds and somebody's relying on it, can you?

So I think that this is a good time to remind the administration, remind your elected representatives that we do not want to fund Planned Parenthood. And you know what, Todd, here in the Memphis area, when you have leftist protests and you have all the different social justice groups on a flyer, guess what's also on the flyer? It's Planned Parenthood. And why, Republicans, would we fund an organization that actively works against you? Look, Family planning, we want to provide.

We want to help single mothers if they are struggling. We want to help with health care, with mammograms, things like that. But we don't need to send that money to leftist activist organizations. Americans United for Life. They say nearly 100 pro-life organizations have sent a letter to the President, VP, Thune.

Speaker Johnson warning them about the Hyde Amendment because that's the other big thing: the president made mention of this, and I know this he's a transactional guy or president. You cannot mess with the Hyde Amendment because Americans just simply will not allow their tax money to be used to pay for abortion. Right. And we have a long history of Republican presidents doing the right thing on this. All Donald Trump has to do is continue doing what Republican presidents have done for a long, long time.

I agree with you, Todd. Oh, my goodness. This is such an unforced error. And it goes back to we saw this coming last summer, the fight over the platform at the RNC, softening of the abortion language, the pro-life language. And Tony Perkins from Family Research Council warned the party where all of this was going to go.

And I mean, the pro-lifers in the party were basically told to shut up. And you vote the way we tell you to vote. That is going to come back, and that's going to have some very bad repercussions in the midterm elections. Look, the Republican Party is the more moral, more spiritual, more connected, honestly, I think, connected to God party. And we don't need to weaken that flank at all.

Yeah. I want to be. Above reproach on these issues.

So, Republicans, let's say, strong on it. Yeah. Democrats, godless heathens. Yes. Pretty much, by and large.

Let's go to the phones here. Patty in Statesville, North Carolina. Patty, welcome to the show. What's on your mind? Yeah.

You really wanna oh my god. The first two that should go in Minneapolis is Tampon. and Jacob Fry. They are inciting riots. Todd.

Well, yes, Patty, they are leading the charge for an insurrection. And then they're then once they unleash the army, they back up and say, Oh, who us? We didn't do anything.

Well, you know Tampon is used to this because twenty twenty was a summer of love with that idiot. And I'm telling you right now. Donald J. Trump, if he's listening, and I hope he is, appeal insurrection due to insurrection I will never He I I I'll throw everything that I own of his out my door. Patty, don't do that, Patty.

Really? Are you serious? I am serious as hell. Yeah. I'm telling you.

He keeps on saying he's going to do it, well do it. I voted for this. And I'm sick and tired of having I'm going to do it. I'm going to do it. Die.

Panty, Luke, the reason why the president is not people are telling him, if you do this, we're going to lose the midterms. I disagree with that. I think, again, if you look at what happened at Kent State decades ago, Richard Nixon won two years later in a landslide that this country has never seen since. I think Patty's sentiment and her frustration is what a lot of people are feeling. And we can message this appropriately.

You do not get to attack law enforcement. You cannot break the law under so-called First Amendment protests. The First Amendment doesn't cover that.

So let's quell the rebellion. You know, Minnesota is acting a heck of a lot like South Carolina did in 1860. Big time. Big time. All right.

Patty, thank you for that. Let's go to Murph in Germantown. Professor Murph, I was talking about you on the air last week. Oh, gosh. Oh, gosh.

No, it was a good conversation. We had a young, like a 23, 24 year old high school history teacher, and he's sort of like a younger version of Professor Murph.

Well Thank you very much. I was doing some digging on this immigration the other day. And this goes all the way back to the tip of the eighteen hundred. Jefferson and Hamilton debated this. Jefferson was pretty much for Let's improve the country with immigration, but I want you to listen to this quote from Alexander Hamilton very carefully.

To admit foreigners indiscriminately to the rights of citizens the moment they put foot in our country as recommended by the message, and that was the message from Thomas Jefferson, would be nothing less than to admit The Grecian horse into the citadel of our liberty, and our sovereignty. A. Hamilton, 1803. He was a prophet. And all you've got to do is look at Minneapolis and Memphis and Yeah, if someone wants to come to this nation and participate, do it the right way.

And become productive American citizens because I taught a number of them. And they were those kids got after it just as the hard as they could. And it's interesting because even Teddy Roosevelt, many years later, would go on to really pound the pulpit over assimilation and how important it was for immigrants to assimilate, which again, Murph, we're not seeing at least these migrants from below the border, south of the border, those coming from Somalia and other places in Africa, they simply refuse to assimilate. And one more comment, Doctor Storms. call her earlier about white folks not getting deported.

If that gentleman has a gripe, over that over history. Number one, that's the w that was the way of the world. when America was founded. It wasn't America's fault, that's just the way of the world. But if he's got a gripe He can sue the Arab traders and the African traders.

who sold their fellow Africans Two. The British The French. The Portuguese. Uh the Italians, the Spanish, And then he can sue the Confederacy. But to claim that you and I and all and our current Chief executive.

are just deporting brown slash black folks I wonder if that gentleman can even read. It just it boggles baffles modern science. Statements like that.

Well, it does. And the sad thing is, there are a lot of people that believe just like that guy believes. Professor Murph, always good hearing from you, my friend. Luke Simbo, final thoughts as we go to break here. America is great because it was the single Western country that got rid of slavery within 100 years.

We did it. That's right. We did that. We did that. All right, Luke.

Hi, John. What's going on? What's on your mind? Well I haven't heard anybody in the House or Senate when the invasion was going on under Biden, I'm from Houston, Texas and Abbott try to close the border and put wire up and the floats in the river, Rio Grande River, There needs to be something in pass. Where a border state like Texas can stop a rogue government like the Biden administration.

To You know, to protect to stop the invasion from our state. I mean, why do they get to just marge in through people, through ranches? and private property And we our state couldn't do nothing about it. And there needs to be something to pass when it's an invasion from any government or any party. And and my point is the minute Um Well, John, let me jump in here because the computer is going to cut us off.

But the Constitution actually does have a clause that allows states like Texas, if the federal government is not going to stop the invasion. They, the governors of the states, can actually step in and stop the invaders. We'll talk more about it on the other side of the break.

Sorry about that, John. Gotta run, everybody. We'll be right back. For over 30 years, Point of Grace has shared music, faith, and friendship with listeners across the country.

So, I mean, there's really no wiggle. Dylan, what are you laughing for? What does that mean? I don't know. I just.

You have something against my generation. No, no, I love your generation. Aside from the fact that you guys never answer your cell phones and you don't return text messages day of. It's true. We got to work on that.

Yeah, those are big problems. We're going to do the full hour, ladies and gentlemen, and we're featuring a Gen Z panel. And I've been looking forward to this since I came up with the idea yesterday.

So nothing like last-minute planning, but we're excited to have, and by the way, coming up a little bit later, Jackson Heberlin is going to be joining us. He is a regular on my Newsmax TV show. He's a student at Clemson University. We're very excited to have Anna Nice Wanger from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. And we have Katie Savage from Collierville High School in Tennessee.

And we have Jack Herman from Rhodes College, the school that gave us Jasmine Crockett. Do you wear that as a badge of honor there, Jack? I mean, she's a successful graduate. What can I say? I mean, keep my mouth closed besides that.

Can we tell you guys? We actually have Jasmine Crockett theme music. Whenever we talk about Jasmine Crockett, you know, she's in the news a lot, and she's making these outrageous statements all the time. And this is our Jasmine Crockett theme song right here. Yeah.

Yeah. So that's Jasmine Cronka there. And the Osmond brothers, who are a fine Mormon family. A lot of people are shocked to hear that those are the Osmond brothers.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, we are excited that y'all are here. And one of the reasons I wanted to bring all of us together, you guys have been individually on the show at various points, and I love your opinions. I love your viewpoints. And I think it's important to give your generation a platform where you can talk about the big issues of the day. By the way, folks, if you want to call in and weigh in and talk to our Gen Z panel, you can do that as well.

901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. I think the starting off point, guys, is what's been happening in Minnesota. And the raging debate right now among conservatives is whether the president should actually consider invoking the Insurrection Act and sending in the military to put down the rebellion. And I'm going to start with you.

What do you think about that? I think it's a very important thing to consider. Safety is very crucial. When we're talking about what the President has the power to do, we have to consider the constitutional powers. And I think that's the big issue at hand, is what does President Trump have the power to do?

What would require an act of Congress? But the military, everywhere they've been sent in, they have gotten control of the situation quickly. We've seen that even here in Memphis, a turnaround we've seen from having the task force here.

So I think there needs to be military involvement to resolve this situation without any more casualties. Jack, that's an interesting point because we have seen those protests here. They haven't been as violent as what we've seen in Minneapolis. But what do you think the right call here is for the White House to make? I think that I have to say, first off, the right to protest is something that is in our Constitution and something that people definitely have the right to do.

And I think that if you believe in something, you should go out and protest it. But once it starts to become violent, we have to get it under control. We have to think about the civilians in our cities, we have to keep them safe. Um Just that once it turns violent, we have to get control of the situation. You know, guys, when you think about it, and the people are out there, say, oh, well, you know, they've got to stop shooting people.

Well, stop hitting ICE agents over the head with shovels, and I'm sure they won't be opening fire. You know, the idea that police are getting up in the morning and saying, you know what, I can't wait to shoot somebody today. That is simply not true. That's ludicrous. Katie, you're shaking your head.

Yeah, it's just insane that people, you know, they think they have the constitutional right to, you know, get mad at someone for simply doing their job. And, you know, the leftist case is not looking too good with the internal bleeding of the ICE agent that was hit and just these occurrences that keep happening across the country. It's just ridiculous that the mindset of, well, I don't like your job. I can do something about it. It's just nonsense.

You know, Jack, the conservative movement, and especially among people your age, has been somewhat surging lately. And I'm just curious how you got involved. What was it that made you decide, you know what? Yeah, I identify with the conservative way of thinking.

So initially, I think that my family was a big impact on me for sure. But also, just when I look out into the world, I think what problems are most important to me. And I think that the conservative movement kind of highlights those problems. And when you look at the other side, they're really... Not addressing things that are important.

To a lot of Gen Z people, and I think that's why we're seeing a swing in Gen Z that's more conservative than other generations. Katie, you guys started the Turning Point USA chapter. What is it called? Club America. Is that what they call it?

That's a cool club. I'd want to be a part of that club. And so you guys actually meet, right? I mean, in the wee hours of the morning. That's right.

Yes. We had a meeting today, actually, at 6:30 in the morning.

So we get to see the real young patriots come out and really support our cause, not only for America, Charlie, but for the Lord. We're not just praising America, we're praising God.

So that's really what the meeting comes from. When you guys put this club together, did you guys have a difficult time finding students? What was that like?

Well, the most difficult part was getting it approved by the school, which we did not end up doing just because the deadline of club. clubs just got in the way, but the most probably the most difficult part was You know, um you know, promoting it, you know, on social media just because there's a you know People come from all different sides of the aisle. It can be difficult to give that confidence, I'm going to share this on my story. What are people going to say? What are people going to do?

But we've had no problems really getting people to come.

So it's been an amazing experience. There is a survey that just came out, and I wanted to get you guys to weigh on this. I am not terribly shocked by these results. Cato and YouGov conducted a survey. They found that nearly two-thirds of young Americans support Socialism, and these are people under the age of thirty.

Anna, what do you make of that? I think it's incredibly misguided. I always think of when Milton Friedman said that a society that puts equality before freedom will get neither, but a society that puts freedom before equality will get a high degree of both. The idea that socialism is just this incredible system where everyone's happy and rich and beautiful, we have not seen that work anywhere before in history. It's misinterpreted, and that is led by the narrative that has been pushed in a corrupted public school system.

The freedom that we have in the United States is heavily dependent on our economic freedom, which we have to defend through the Constitution. Jack Ear at Rhodes College, which is one of the top schools in America. I mean, this is I mean, if you're saying, you know, if we had an Ivy League here in the South, maybe we should have a Kudzu League school. That would be, I mean, it would be an Ivy League school. What about this survey?

I mean, are you hearing your fellow students talking about socialism and supporting socialism? Uh I mean I think that That's definitely a thing as people get older, as they move into college, as they move into the real world, it becomes apparent to them that socialism is not. Is not going to work.

So I think that with this younger generation, it's something that they'll grow out of once they want to protect their own assets, they want to make their own money. And I think that when you get into a really Educated school with a lot of wealthy people, they realize that, you know, I kind of want to protect my wealth. And I think that that's something Maybe why I don't hear about it as much. When I was working at Fox News Channel back in the day, we would always get during the summertime, we would get these interns, and they would actually come from the Ivy League schools, or Syracuse was another big school, a feeder school into Fox, and the internship program. And I always looked forward to the day they got the students got their first Honest Goodness paycheck, and they're looking down and they're seeing all these deductions.

And it was at that moment, Jack, that all of those die-hard liberals started thinking, maybe I need to become a Republican. All right. We are just excited to have our student panel with us.

So we have Jack Herman from Rhodes College, Anna Nice Wanger from Mid-America Baptist Seminary, and Katie Savas from Collierville High School. We're going to take a quick break here. When we come back, we're going to talk about whether or not people in your generation know how to use a clock. And whether or not they understand what a pad and a pencil are for.

So hang tight. 901-260-5926 is our telephone number. Again, that number, 901-260-5926. We'll be right back, everybody. For over 30 years, Point of Grace has shared music, faith, and friendship with listeners across the country.

And I don't know who's making up all these names, but guys, it's just driving me nuts. Dylan, do we know who's responding? Is there like a government agency that determines what to call the generations? I'll find out for you. I do like Gen Z, but then it kind of restarts, I guess.

I don't know what happened. I guess I was still trying to figure out what a millennial was, and then Gen Z popped up. Yeah. It's all very strange. I do want to know, though, we're talking to our great panel here.

We have Jack Herman from Rhodes College, Anna Neiswanger from Mid-America Seminary, and Katie Casey from Collierville High School. All right, guys, what's the deal with the cell phones? How come you guys don't answer your text messages like immediately? For me, I feel like I've been trying to get better with it because that's the problem. But sometimes it can get a little overwhelming just having so much constant pressure to be on the phone that I sometimes just ignore it.

It's a text. It's a text, Katie.

Sometimes my phone is on Do Not Disturb, and when it is on Do Not Disturb, I am not disturbing.

So I'm not checking my phone.

Okay, that's somewhat reasonable.

So that's a good excuse. What about you, Jack? You know, I try my best, but sometimes I just have to put the phone down. It's just, it's too much going on. You know what happened?

I don't know if you heard about this yesterday. There was like all of like Verizon and a bunch of other phones just everything went kaput. And I'm just like, enjoy it, right? Just enjoy the peace. And people were freaking out.

And I'm like, enjoy the peace and quiet. We spend way too much time on these little boxes we keep in our pockets, and we need to get back into the real world from time to time. Is that true? Because there have been I don't know if there have actually been studies done, but a lot of younger people are like pulling back from social media. You know, they're not posting a lot as, you know, as much as their parents and grandparents were.

Are you guys seeing that at all? Um, I am. I I do think people are pulling back from social media just because it's it's almost like a drug. It's very addictive.

So I'm seeing more people delete TikTok, delete Instagram, even Snapchat.

So like I said, it's it's kind of like a drug. It's hard to quit. I agree completely. It is designed to be addictive. We have seen proof that it pushes a narrative and a rhetoric that is harmful to young people.

It inclines them to have more mental health issues. It's very important to be grounded in something outside of social media because social media is not real. I remember seeing a story about all these social media influencers and how they're always jetting around on these private planes and all this kind of stuff. I didn't realize that in Los Angeles, where many of these people are, you can actually go to a place and you can have your pictures made on a fake jet.

So people really aren't jetting around or they don't own these lavish mansions.

So. I can see that. I can see that as being an issue. All right, there is a story out of the Gothamist. And since I think, Jack, I mean, you're the guy major.

What are you majoring in? Neuroscience. Yeah, so you're smart.

Okay, here we go. Jack, according to Gothamist, which is a publication in New York City, it turns out that most young people in New York City, kids, cannot read a clock. They're not allowed to have their cell phones in their classes anymore.

So they can't read a clock. What say you? I mean, I think that it just shows a failure of teaching important life skills, which has long been a problem. Do to some of the education. that we see in our country.

And I think that, you know, It goes back to to really teaching things that are important in school. And when you look at New York City, I mean you look at um I'm sure some of the Common Core that they have there that they teach their students, you know, we have to get back to teaching people how to live. You know, that is so true. I remember when I was in high school, this is in the dark ages, guys, we used to have to do things like take a shop class.

So, by the time we graduated high school, we could use a typewriter, which is another ancient device. We knew how to change a tire, we knew how to change our oil, and we knew how to balance a checkbook. Anna, I'm wondering if they're actually teaching these very important basic skill sets in public school these days. You know, I don't think they are, but they should be. Because when you get out into the real world, you don't need to know gender ideology, but you do need to know how to pay your taxes.

That's something I've been learning recently. It's important, and we've forgotten that practical skills are often almost as important as all the other things we're learning in school. You need reading, writing, math, and you need to know how to pay your taxes. I guess we should have gone to our high school expert here first. Katie, have you noticed?

I mean, are they teaching these things at high school? They're teaching some. It depends on the classes.

So, we have a lot. Of classes to choose from, so depending on that, I mean, you'll really, you'll really get what you What you choose. You know, we have government classes, which is very important. We have personal economics, which is very important. But other than that, we don't have, you know, we I think we should bring up back home ech.

I think that's a very useful class. But like I said, we have a lot of classes, but some of them are very Not needed, if you know what I mean. No, I do. And I think that's a great point. You know, Dylan, back when I was in school, again, the dark ages, we had one issue.

They would always get together, the home ech and the shop class. And normally people would find their mate for life out of that whole like, you know, dynamic there because you want somebody that can cook a casserole and then you want somebody who can like, you know, fix your car when it's broken. I mean, these are all, I mean, it makes perfect sense to me, Dylan. I had to take the cooking class. Oh, you do.

I don't know what that means for me. Like, I wasn't in the tire class. They put me in the cook. I cooked fajitas. Did you really?

Were they good? No. I undercooked the onion. We had somebody, one of the girls, they were doing an instructional class on how to make cabbage, boiled cabbage. And so, when you have 30 girls in a class learning how to boil cabbage, they didn't take into consideration the ventilation system in the school.

They literally had to cancel school because the smell was so bad. In the class, wow, it was unbelievable. Do you guys take a cooking class in high school there? I did not, but my high school did have a very elaborate culinary program. Oh, you see, I like that because, again, it's teaching a life skill that you can use.

I did not take a specific cooking class, but recently I taught at a co-op, a homeschool co-op, a life skills class. And a lot of the kids were fresh out of the public school system, transitioning to homeschooling. And I did a lesson on how to change attire, and I did one on how to boil water and make pasta and all of these things that are so simple and important. We got to work through and practice together. And that was great.

I love this. All right, guys, stick around. We're going to take a quick break. And, ladies and gentlemen, what life skills do you believe our young generation needs to learn? You've all been through it at school.

There were a lot of things you learned how to use. For example, A rotary phone. We'll talk about it in the break. I'll fill you guys in on that.

So, what skills does Gen Z need to learn? 901-260-5926, our telephone number. That's 901-265. 260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show.

We're Talking to a bunch of great conservative young people, and we're just honored to have Anna Neiswonger with us, Katie Casey, and Jack Herman. And we've been asking you, folks, about life lessons. What are some things that, some life skills that young people need by the time they graduate high school? What should America's young people be able to do? 901-260-5926.

Let's go to the phones. Let's go to Ely, Nevada, K-E-L-Y, our great affiliate there, Melody. Hi, Melody. You're on the air with our great panel here.

Well, thank you. I have a sewing shop. I do alterations and repair. But our schools up here do not teach sewing, and that's where I hur learned how to sew. And I'm now teaching, I teach about a dozen young girls and boys.

to just do basic sewing. But in my business, you cannot believe the amount of people that bring in just buttons for me to sew on or a small hole in a garment. But it it's real sad. We have lost a generation Of kids that don't know how to do that. And I have a flouring business.

sewing for people, and I also sew for a lot of outlying areas. And it's a shame that they don't have that in the schools. And a lot of your designers have to learn how to sew. And it's a shame our schools don't have it and that's why I picked it up and started to teach sewing again. Wow, Melody, I could have used you the other day.

I was my I had a button get caught right before the Newsmax T V hit and it just went flying off and I had to put it back on with duct tape. Yeah. Well, it's important to learn, so your mother should have taught you, but it's very important, but it isn't that. It it's very sad, but I have made a fabulous business out of doing nothing but sewing and repairs. And I can't keep up with it because nobody knows how to do it.

Well, you're in high demand. I'm in high demand. And but I know other states, other cities, they are eliminating. the sewing classes. And I think it's really important.

Otherwise, we're going to be running around with like fig leaves or something, and nobody wants to see that. Melody, thank you for calling in. That's, you know, I never really even thought about that, but a sewing class. You know, that would come in handy, I think. It absolutely would.

Melody, you'll be happy to know. I keep a little sewing kit in my purse for emergencies, and my grandma taught me, but a lot of my friends don't know how. And I think we've really become a lot less independent over time.

So I think it's incredible that you're teaching our peers how to do this. That is such an important life skill. I immediately thought about Rosie Greer, who was a famous NFL player. Jack, I know you're a big athlete. You're a runner, cross-country, and track and field.

And he was a big football guy. He's just like this massive, like, mountain of a man. And you know what he did? He knitted. He loved to knit.

And so he knitted sweaters and little hats, and you never know. Yeah, I mean, it just goes to show that exposing people to different things they might have. Had no interest in before. It's important in schools, you know, just show people new things. That's right.

He also did needle point. That's very difficult, though. You know, and you prick your finger. I don't like that. I don't like that kind of stuff.

All right, let's get back to politics. And by the way, folks, our telephone number 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. We have the midterms coming up, and I know that it's going to be important to get the young people out to vote. Katie, I'm curious, what are some of the issues that are important?

Um, you know, I think in schools I think we need to have a space, you know, to express our political views. I think that a lot of schooling has This oppression on students that your political views are your political views, and that's it, and you keep them to yourselves.

So, I think we, I would love to see candidates, you know, encouraging young people to get out at the table, to get out into their communities and express not only their political views, but their views, because that's what makes people people their views. Jack, young men especially, for whatever reason, were drawn to Donald Trump. What is it about Trump that was so attractive to young men who really almost felt disenfranchised, I think, You know, I think it was first off his ability to talk, I think, really helped him there. And also, I think that he just kind of went back to the basics. He went back to crime.

He went back to immigration. He wanted to make things more affordable. And I think that's really what people are worried about right now. Housing prices are too high. Gas is always an issue.

And I think that going back to the basics and staying away from a lot of these social issues that really people just don't have time to care about is really what's drawing people to be more conservative. It was interesting you brought that up. And Anna, that's a good segue because the administration does seem to be backing away from some of those issues, and especially the pro-life issue, where the Hyde Amendment, the President said, yeah, you got to be a little bit flexible on that. And now we found out that, what is it, yesterday, Politico reporting that we quietly reinstated funding for Planned Parenthood. How important is that life issue and the culture war issues?

Is that going to be a hill to die on for a lot of Christian voters? I think it should be morally. Absolutely. That's something very important to consider. Sanctity of life is an A tier number one issue for me.

When we're talking about why did Trump win and what is important to Gen Z in this next election, we saw a lot of Traditional liberal and left-wing voters come over to the right in that last election. And that was because the left left them. The left went so far outside of the scope of reality and they couldn't tell the difference between a boy or a girl. And the moderate American came over to the right. And they kind of saw through all the smoke and mirrors and they ended up voting for President Trump.

And I think a lot of those issues continue to be important to young people. Katie, isn't that interesting, though, that we had Senator Marshall Blackburn on the first hour of the show? And I remember during the confirmation hearings for Justice Jackson, and she asked a question: you know, what is a woman? And she could not answer that question. And then, of course, yesterday, you know, we're watching, you know, these hearings on Capitol Hill.

And still, as a matter of fact, Dylan, can we play? Let's go back, and I'm just going to play a bit of this.

So this is Senator Josh Hawley from Missouri, and he's interviewing a gynecologist. From Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Her name is Dr. Verma, and let's play some of the back and forth. Thank you, Mr.

Chairman. Since you bring it up. Why don't we just start there? Dr. Verma, I wasn't sure I understood your answer to Senator Moody a moment ago.

Do you think that men can get pregnant? I hesitated there because I wasn't sure where the conversation was going or what the goal was. I mean, I do take care of patients with different identities. I take care of many women. I take care of people with different identities.

And so that's where I paused. I think. Yeah, I wasn't sure where you were going with that.

Well, the goal is the truth.

So, can men get pregnant? Again, the reason I paused there is I I'm not really sure what the The goal is just to establish a biological reality. You just said a moment ago that science and evidence should control, not politics.

So let's just test that proposition. Can men get pregnant? I take care of people with many identities, but there you go. It went on for five minutes, Katie. And I'm wondering: is that a big issue?

Is that a big topic of conversation among people your age? That is a huge, huge issue. We see the gender ideology, transgender movement literally seeping into every aspect of your life in church, in school, at camp. It is literally everywhere. You cannot get away from it.

And it's disgusting how we have people in power who cannot tell the difference between a male and a female, something that an actual toddler can understand. It's disgusting. And from the athletic side of the table here, Jack, I mean, you're a runner. You experience the competitive spirit out there. For me, it's always about these young ladies that are being denied their place in a race and a sport.

Yeah, I mean, I'm a very mediocre Division III runner, but you put me out there against women. I'm going to perform well. And I think that it's just not fair to to the female athletes out there. I think that there is very obviously you know, men are stronger, men are faster, and that's not something that you know, needs to be challenged. Mm.

Yuck, Anna. There is nothing more demeaning to women and to their accomplishments than to putting them in a situation where they cannot compete. It is ridiculous to hear this level of childish debate in the Supreme Court. Let's just clear it up. There are women and there are men and they are different.

And these people that are arguing for that, they know that, but it doesn't go with their rhetoric, and so they won't admit it.

Well, the fact that we have to legislate what should be common sense really doesn't say a lot about where we are as a country right now. Can we take another call? Y'all want to take another call? Let's go to Texas. Mary Margaret is hanging out with us on Patriot Talk 920.

Hi, Mary Margaret. You're on the air with our great panel. Hi. Hello, how are you? Good, good.

What's up, what's going on, Mary Margaret?

Well I think that Carstive. has gone by the wayside I have a twenty four year old granddaughter It cannot read my cards. Because you write in cursive. That is correct. And she Um She's graduated high school.

Wow, do you think that's a good idea? Um Don't have any idea. They print everything. How they get by with doing that, I don't know. Um But I I I just think that's unbelievable.

I did not realize it until she went overseas. with her father, the family did on his business. And um She came back after two years and she said She was very sorry, but She could not read my cards. Wow. I'm curious.

I'm going to poll our panel here. How many of you guys know how to write cursive? I know how to write cursive. I was taught in third grade, so it's been a long time. Yeah, me too.

I was also taught in third grade. All right. Good stuff.

So, at least, at least our panel here.

So, Mary Margaret, if you want to send a card to somebody. Hey, I love a card. I'll try to read it my best. Oh, my goodness. Mary Margaret, I have to thank y'all.

Yes, man. Thank you for calling in. You know, I was doing a book signing in Gainesville, Georgia, and there was this a lot of, it was a fun crowd, but this sweet little old lady came and I signed her book. She walks out. Turned out she was a school teacher.

And she comes back and she opens up the book to the autograph. She goes, What is that? I said, That's my name. She goes, Young man, you have bad penmanship. And she just went on her way.

So it is what it is. But you know, it is funny because a lot of people just don't use cursive. I mean, I don't even think many people even write with like an ink pen or a piece of or a piece of paper anymore. No, I don't think so. I love getting handwritten mail.

A card that is so special because it takes time and intentional effort to write someone a card, but normally we just send a text. Yeah. I do think thank you notes it's a lost art form that needs to be revived, in my opinion. I agree. I like this panel here.

I'm expecting thank you notes after the thing here. Let's go to Salem, Oregon. We have Ron with us. Ron, what's your question for our panel? My question is, did you know in 1939 or forty-six years ago, this coming July, That James Earl Carter Jr., who is your president, as we know, as Jimmy.

He voted to take away the rights when I was a kid. to work in businesses, work in the parks from 11 to 15 years old. My question would be Would you think that would help immensely our labor force if we went back to where somebody could know how to drive a tractor and Pull pull weeds and learn how to work make trails and cut trees. And other stuff that nature, maybe for a qu like what I had to work for, is a third of minimum wage. But my the point was is I became the man.

I never I bought everything I ever owned in the last forty-seven years from my f 'cause my fa I was in a foster home. My question is, panel: Should we ask the president to bring that law, kill that law, and let these young folks learn so that we can have a workforce in the next 20 years? Yeah, what do you guys think about that? Wow, that is a great question, Ron. I, here in Tennessee, you can work starting at 14.

So, the day after my 14th birthday, I got my first job at a frozen yogurt place and started saving up, helping with some bills from time to time. And that was such a great experience for me. And I haven't stopped working since. I think it's very important for the development of work ethics. Jack, what was your first job?

My first job, I worked as an athletic attendant, so I was taking care of baseball fields and classes. Cleaning bathrooms. Hey, that's no, that's look, it's a job, you know, and being able to earn your own money and spend your own money. Katie, what about yourself? My first job is in ice cream.

I work in an ice cream shop, but I also do babysit. And babysitting is really good because they pay in cash, and that means no taxes. Ooh, I like that. All right, don't ask, don't tell. All right, good stuff.

My first job. Popeye's fried chicken and biscuits. I was a biscuit maker. I got a 25-cent an hour raise. I learned how to make the biscuits.

It was a fun gig. Dylan, what was your first job? Do you remember your first job? Oh, I was mowing grass in middle school, Todd. Oh, yeah.

That's what it was. Your parents put you to work quickly. You started the biggest grass business in South Haven, Mississippi. Is that right? No, not really.

According to me, it was. Is there good money in that? Oh, yeah. There's good money. Yeah.

That's interesting. You just go house to house. Oh. I had no idea. All right.

My dad owned an electrical company, a small, and he made me go with him one summer, and I got fired on the first day. Oh, no. I was supposed to turn off a breaker, and I accidentally turned it back on and electrocuted my dad.

Well, that'll do it. He forgave me, but he always got nervous whenever I tried to plug something in, though. I didn't notice that. All right, guys, we've got to take a quick break. We're going to wrap things up here: 901-260-5926.

Okay, yeah. And we're doing thank you notes. We'll do that. We'll get on that right after the show. Let's talk real quick here and just final thoughts and we'll kind of do a round robin.

And Jack, we'll start with you. What is it that the Republicans need to do, in your estimation, to win in the midterm elections? I think that they need to stay true to the problems that are being addressed. You know, people care. About things that affect them daily.

You know, they care about the housing prices, they care about the grocery prices, they care about their safety. You know, we just have to stay true to really what's important in America and stay away from the nonsense that's going around. Katie. Yeah, I do think I 100% agree with you. And even the issues that are insanely out there, like the transgenderism movement and all the what is a woman and all the abortion, these are major problems that are getting worse by the day.

So I think we need to have a strong party to not change our stance, not change our movement, but we need to have consistent You know, strikes on these issues. I think we need to be consistent with these issues. It's a good word. Anna, 30 seconds. I completely agree.

We need to go back to a God-fearing government. We need to lean into the constitutional principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, because without that, we have nothing.

Well said, guys. Thank you all so much for coming in today. Thank you for having us. Absolutely. There's a lot of people here.

And I'll probably see, I know I'll see you probably at Shelby Farms. I'll be the guy walking around the park. You'll be jetting around with the bison there. All right. What an honor, folks.
