Well, hello everybody. Welcome to the Touchsterns Radio Program. What an honor to have you with us today. A lot going on across this great nation. And I will say this, you know, the.
There's been a lot of hullabaloo over the past 24 hours about what's happening in Minneapolis. And really, what's happening around the nation with these attacks on people of the Christian faith. And It is a very dangerous time to be a Christian in America, and we don't talk a lot about this on the program. But I will say that according to the Family Research Council, which is one of the top religious liberty groups in America. there has been an eight hundred percent increase in hostility and violence against churches And against Christians here in the United States of America.
It's just a staggering number. And the attacks are becoming even more violent, becoming more personal, and a lot of the blame is being directed at the Biden administration. And the Democrat Party, because they have really turned a blind eye. to the growing religious persecution here in America. And I'm going to tell you something that is it's an unpopular opinion, but it needs to be it needs to be said.
that it's only going to get worse. And I I don't think that uh uh at least in the political world, When Donald Trump leaves office. I think you are you are going to see the Republican Party really embrace more of a more embrace the thinking of the Democrats when it comes to to religion. And I'm going to explain what I mean by that because there were some things happening over the summer. And last summer That We d covered, but you know, again, people have short-term memory here.
They have a short-term memory. And it's a big problem. Because we've got to remember. What's been happening in politics? Otherwise, you're going to be surprised when one day you wake up and you realize: holy cow, why is the.
Republican Party Pro Abortion. Why is the Republican Party Anti-traditional Family. Wh why is that? And so we need to go back and we need to take a look at where things are going and why we are where we are right now. Because I will say this.
that the Republican Party has moved towards the left on a lot of the culture issues. And the party platform has moved to the left, and not everybody is happy about that. And it's been a big problem for the Christian, for lack of a better term, the Christian right. As a matter of fact, the party platform changed its position on abortion. The Republican Party platform also softened and backpedaled a lot of language when it came to traditional family values.
And no doubt they I mean, it's look, still, the Republican Party is still the most conservative of the viable political parties out there. But ultimately A lot of the Christian conservatives were smacked around and were bullied and harangued into adopting all of these. All of these changes. And it's an ugly thing.
So, all that to say, what's going to happen is, so that will have ramifications. and have implications down the road. When it comes to how the Republicans view Christianity. and evangelical conservatives. And there was a story we read Monday when I was in Washington about How the About how the LGBT crowd has pretty much taken over the conservative movement within the L's.
Let me put it that way. Let me back up for a second. It's not the T's, it's the lesbians and the gays have pretty much taken control. Of conservative politics in Washington, D.C. right now.
The religious conservatives really do not have much of a power base. in our nation's capital. And that is a conversation for another day. All that to say, I think With without having a political party that is Zeroed in, honed in on these issues. Yeah, we're going to see more persecution of Christians out there in America.
So I'm not surprised by what happened, in Minneapolis yesterday. And I know a lot of people are still trying to come to terms, come to grips with what happened in that Catholic church. It is ugly. It is ugly. We now know, of course, that this guy was um a transgender terrorist.
He killed himself, took his own life like the coward he is. And he was Embraced by his family, and they went with the whole transgender lie. And there was a New York Post report out today saying the guy really did not want to be trans. He was regretting the decisions he made. And again, I want to go back and say this: that transgenderism.
Is a mental issue. And I don't mean that in a derogatory sense at all. I mean, when you look back in medical history, transgenderism was actually. Treated As a medical condition. And now we're being told as a society, we have to address this.
that we have to accept it. That we have to embrace gender dysphoria. And we have to not only embrace it, we have to celebrate it, and we have to. Endorse it. And when you go back to and it was just twenty nineteen, again, the radical sex and gender revolutionaries I mean, this whole LGBT movement now has really become a de facto religion.
Almost in the way that in some of the Islamist countries. Where if you do not convert, you will be destroyed. And the same thing is happening when it comes to this radical sex and gender policy. an ideology.
Now, back in 2019, this is just a few years ago. Transgender health issues were classified by the World Health Organization as mental and behavioral disorders. That was the World Health Organization. And of course that was the year they decided to do away with those classifications. And they just suddenly announced that transgender is not actually a mental health condition.
The Human Rights Watch says the change. will have a liberating effect worldwide. But instead it has unleashed All sorts of evil Across the world. And again, ladies and gentlemen, we are walking, people are walking our streets right now. That need medical help.
They need medical attention. But instead of getting medical help and medical attention, these people Are being told, we affirm you. And as you heard, you could, when you read the guys. Writings, this was a very disturbed and deranged individual, and you're telling me that not a single person in that household knew That this guy was crazy. That he was accumulating an arsenal?
And nobody knew that? I just simply don't believe it. I don't believe it.
So over at PS PMS Now The uh previously known as MSDNC. You've got Jin Saki, Circleback. And Jin Saki was weeping on the air. And I'm telling you, the left, they are beside themselves. And I'm going to explain why they're beside themselves in just a moment.
But here is Circle Back. And she's over on PMS now. Weeping uncontrollably on air. Take a listen. And all they should be hoping to do is have someone to sit with at lunch or someone to play with on the playground.
They should be waiting to hear an update when they get home. And that is not what these parents at the school experience today.
Sorry, this is a tough one. Having your child killed while they are sitting in a pew for a morning prayer service is not what any parent should have to worry about. And I have felt a mixture of anger and a lot of anger and emotional exhaustion about this today, as I'm sure many of you have, because we have been here so many times, so many times. And yet again like clockwork, Half of the politicians in our country have little more to offer than thoughts and prayers. That is all they are offering.
Join all of us in praying for the victims was Vice President J.D. Vance's response today. That's what he said. That's it. Please join me in praying for everyone involved, Trump wrote.
We have seen this play out over and over again. There is a shooting, then come the thoughts and prayers. And then comes the attempt to shift the focus. This is what always happens. You're going to start seeing narratives.
You're already seeing them. They're already out there. about how the shooter was trans. You're going to see narratives about how the shooter appeared to be anti-Trump and anti-Semitic. And here we go.
And now we know, ladies and gentlemen, and did you see how quickly she turned the water works on and off? Just a suggestion to the lady anchors over at PMS Now, got to get a hold of the emotions, girls. You gotta just take a deep breath. Count to 10. Meditate, do but you got nobody wants to see that on national television.
I feel bad for the makeup artists because they have to run out there and you got the I mean, the makeup and the mascaras running, it's a terrible thing. Nobody wants to watch that. No wonder the ratings are down. But let me explain something. She was not crying.
over the bodies of the dead children. She was not crying over the bullet-riddled bodies of the injured, the people who survived. That's not why she was crying. She was crying because they've lost control of the narrative. That's why Circleback was crying.
And she was weeping. You know, she talked about narratives.
Well, the Democrat Party has a narrative that every single one of these shooters is some sort of a straight white kid. But this is not what this is. And then, when you throw into the mix the whole transgender issue, well, you've got the Democrat. establishment and they've lost complete control of the narrative. And that's what they're crying about.
They really wanted this guy to be a a white Pro true. Trump pro-MAGA terrorist. And that's what they were looking for. And it turned out it was yet another Transgender shooting. And she can't handle it.
She can't handle it. By the way, The the prayer stuff, that's enraging all of them. They're very upset that people are praying. Here is another PMS Now host, cut number two. As an elected official, you are on the ground with your folks and you appreciate this journey.
I agree with the mayor. I'm not the thoughts and prayers, I'm so beyond.
So beyond that that nonsense, the lie. of that. Because what we have are people who continue to stand in the way of actually doing something. to stop the violence against their own kids. It is amazing to me.
We watch young kids die in classrooms and now in church. And all we get are thoughts and prayers. All you get are thoughts and prayers. By the way, Again, they're saying That The transgender crowd roughly make up 0.5% of the population. They have a massive, massive percentage.
Of that community involved in these mass shootings. For example, there was a shooting at a Denver school, that individual, trans. Another Denver school shooter, transgender, the Aberdeen shooter, transgender, the Nashville shooter at the Covenant, the Covenant School, the Christian School, transgender, Uvalde, the shooter. unconfirmed to be trans. There was a shooting in Iowa.
The shooter there identified as gender fluid. There was a Philadelphia shooting. The a gunman transgender. Colorado Spring Shooter Non binary. Are you starting to see a pattern here, folks?
And again, My heart breaks for these people because somewhere along the lines, they should have received some sort of psychological or psychiatric help for their issues. And they never received Anything except we affirm you, and instead these people are just struggling inside. It is a Horrible thing that has happened in this country, and I blame the Democrat Party and the sex and gender revolutionaries who control our nation's public schools. That's who I blame for this. And now you've got even the folks over at Fox were afraid to use the term transgender terrorist.
Let me tell you something. Last night, those were the first words out of my mouth on my Newsmax T V show. We got to start calling this stuff what it is. But more importantly, we've got to go back here. And we've got to take a very long, serious look at how we are classifying transgenderism in all of these people with gender dysphoria.
It's just like we ought not to be celebrating morbid obesity. We ought to be encouraging people to To to to diet, to get into shape, to walk. But instead we we were accused of body shaming. No, if you are over five or six or four hundred pounds, you're going to die. And we don't want you to die.
The Republicans, we're supposed to be the pro-life party. All right, look, I've got a lot more to say about this, but again. the issues we're facing. If you are a Christian, and if you go to church, if your child attends a Christian school, hear me on this. You've got to have security.
You have to have a professionally trained security team in place. You have to have men, women, whoever that know how to use a gun, they've been trained, they're properly licensed. But you've got to make sure. that your place of worship is protected. This guy actually He scouted out.
The Death Zone This church. He put two by fours up against the wall to make sure that kids couldn't escape. I mean this guy is evil. And he's in hell right now. where he will spend eternity.
But I am telling you, we have got to do something while we are here walking God's great earth. We've got to do our part to make sure that our churches and our schools are no longer Soft Targets. Got to take a break. 901-260-5926. Our telephone number.

What's going on? I am so sick of these. Demon Robert And these pressures. MSNB and MF. D and C.
People getting on the phone. are getting on the television and telling the American people That the Republicans are the problem when the Democrats are the ones that created the Dagong problem. Give me a break already and and sitting up there They crying. And then saying, all the Republicans do is come out and say, and our prayers be with you, and then carry on. They're the ones that created this problem.
They let the immigrants in. gendered our children. And did You know what? What happened to all the time when there was no shooting going on? What were they doing then?
What were they doing to protect? Our children then, not a daggone thing. You know why? 'Cause it didn't put any money in their pockets. You want to know how to protect our children?
You get the veterans. That have retired, and you put them at the school. They know how to handle weapons, and they know how to protect. your children and you because they did it for years in the military. Anna, I don't know if people are prepared for the amount of danger and violence that's coming because there are a lot more kids like this guy in Minneapolis walking the streets of America right now.
Sick. Totally sick. They brainwashed our kids. And not only that. If the American people think this just happened four years ago under the Biden, this started in 1992 with the Clinton watch, okay?
When they started doing that, well, it's not politically correct. Generations. Yeah, a full generation, Anna. And I hate to do this. We have got to Scedattle for a break, but I appreciate your passion, and you're 1,000% accurate here.

Okay. And welcome back, everybody, to the Todd Stearns Radio Show. And again, this has been, as our previous caller, Anna said, this has been a long time coming in America, going all the way back to the Obama administration and completely embracing the LGBT movement. I want to go to Statesville, North Carolina. Jerry is listening to us.
And Jerry, I know that you're wanting to make that point about Obama. Uh yes, can you hear me? Yes, you're on the air, Jerry. Yes, absolutely. If I'm not mistaken, it was under the Obama administration.
That they be the governors, I think it was the Illinois governor that did it first, but they made it illegal for these children that are confused about their sexual orientation. To get help, medical help. It's against the law, I think, in California to just dissuade a child from being homosexual. And so these children, kind of taught, they don't have anywhere to turn because it's against the law for them to get help. Does that make sense?
No, well, it does. And again, the the whole point of the Obama administration was not only affirming but stopping schools from intervening, stopping and making or trying to criminalize conversion therapy and things of that nature. Yes. Exactly. And uh And so I feel sorry for the kids.
We're getting to the point now where they're going to start prosecuting the parents. But actually, they probably are already for trying to tell their children that that's not the right lifestyle, that you shouldn't live that way. And I just feel sorry for the kids because they don't really have a place to turn. They don't have anywhere to go. I don't even think in some states the pastor is allowed to tell them to not be gay.
Well, according to well, according to and this is not across the entire nation, but there are some states, I believe even in Washington, D.C., licensed medical and mental health professionals cannot stop A transgender person, or even encourage them to transition or to reconsider, they call it conversion therapy.
So that's a big problem here. And again, what's happened is they are creating and and these laws are responsible for what happened in Minneapolis, for what happened in all of the other mass shootings in involving these uh transgender people. All right. Jerry, thank you for the call. Let's go to Bill in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
Bill, what's on your mind today? Hi, Todd. I just wanted to again mention that The basic, we're talking about all these bandaid and symptoms. uh from this transsexual stuff and um The consequences thereof. But the basic thing that I haven't heard narrative at all on any of the secular stations.
Yeah. Lack of spiritual side. I mean, this is the fight between good and evil, God and Satan. And they'll mention God, but they certainly won't mention Satan. And You know, Christ said himself that Satan is a liar and the father of lies.
He's the murderer and he's the first murderer. And I just don't hear this. And that is the basic problem. And I think Franklin Graham would Frankly, um Agree with that. John MacArthur, the late John MacArthur.
He did a series on by God abandon America. This was over a decade ago, and you can see the valid points that he had compared to the America then. And it's only gotten worse.
So, the conversion therapy, if you want to do conversion therapy, it always starts at home, starts with a mother, starts with a father who are present. in who basically they uh live. And they love the Lord first, and then they love the family, then community, and nation, et cetera, et cetera. And you know, that's That's basically it. I'm frustrated to hear all of these Uh other other you know things and the mental health thing is because I know I've worked in mental health uh profession there in uh Palo Alto, California.
And um I see all of these, these are tools to use, but the basic, the very basic, the foundation is the spiritual. You don't have the spiritual. then you know you can forget it. I've read one of the comments of where somebody was saying that hey, this is demonic and it certainly is. Satan is real, and we're fighting a spiritual war.
And in the end, we know how that's going to be. When you die, You don't turn into dust. It's uh you know, you go regardless, you're going to be accountable, he's going to judge you.
So anyway, I would like to hear more of the spiritual Um Well, our second president, and I quote him often, John Adams said, our Constitution is wholly inadequate for anyone other than a moral and religious people. And Bill, to your point, We're not doing a very good job in our families or in our church houses. Of instilling those values. You know, when you go to a lot of churches, and I don't, I'm not painting with a broad brush here. But if you go to a church and you're getting a three-point or five-point self-help sermon, that's the problem in America right now.
We have got to you know right now, I would say that the average Christian in America They have a very shallow, shallow relationship with God. They have hardly any understanding of Holy Scripture, and it's pretty you know, church is just a thing you do. It's almost like you you wear it as a as a social status symbol, Bill. Throw a Bible on the back on the back in the back seat until next Sunday. Exactly.
That's it. And the politicians too. I mean, um The embracing the homosexuality, my mother, oh, my mother, my wife pointed out the log cabin. Republicans have is problematic for the Republicans. uh and embracing any sort of uh Sympathy or whatnot for homosexual acts.
I just say read their gospel. I mean, the epistle of the Apostle Paul to the Romans. verses 18 through 32, I believe. And that you have a pretty clear idea of how God as non-compromising about this. And you know, politics, I know it's a real world.
And all that, but you've got to be true to God, not to yourself, to God. When you're true to God, then you're and you're walking in His ways. You're going to be tweeting yourself, and it's going to expand from there. Let me say this. And Bill, thank you for your great call, and I certainly appreciate that.
And look, I'm a constitutionalist, so how you want to live your life is your business. I know how I want to live my life. I don't want you to tell me how I should live, and I'm not going to tell you how you should live. The reality here when it comes to the transgender issue is we have taken, and there was no medical science behind any of this. It was a cultural and political decision to make trans people normalized, that kind of behavior normalized.
When, in fact, for generations, the medical community said, no, this is a mental and a psychological issue. We've got to deal with this. But Bill's absolutely right. The religious part of this is is is the crux of it all. I got Someone sent this to me last night.
And I want to read this to you. Because it goes back to the heart of what we're dealing with right now. You do understand that millennials are now like in their mid-forties, okay?
So all of the kids that we're looking at and we're about to talk about, these are all the children of millennials. And The the cold hard reality Is that parents are not raising their kids? That's it. This was written by Marcia. She is a school teacher in Saint Louis.
And I want to read this to you. And I want you to think long and hard. This is, I was so shocked. But as soon as I finished reading this, I understood exactly what the problem was with America. And this is something that cannot be legislated.
We cannot legislate our way out of this. To Bill's point. Here's what Marcia wrote: the school teacher from St. Louis. It broke my heart these past four days to see.
To see how many kindergartners showed up to school with no previous exposure to almost anything. It was so overwhelming for them to understand the concept of staying in line. Wiping themselves. Buttoning their own pants. Opening a milk container.
holding a pencil correctly. I had one who did not understand how to unzip his lunch box so he could eat.
Some can't tell you their name, or don't know their actual given name that is on the roster.
So many had never held a pencil at all, they couldn't sing the alphabet song. let alone recognize any letters or numbers. couldn't count to ten or recognize shapes or colors.
Sometimes when I post about these things, some one asks, Isn't that what school is for? Wow. Why should parents have to do your job for you? Yes, school is for learning. But when they come in so far behind right off the bat, it is so defeating and and frustrating for these babies.
Even at the age of five, they recognize when they don't know things other kids know. If a child knows who Pennywise the Clown is, and can recite every word, including the explicit ones to the latest Cardi B song, but can't recite the alphabet, count to ten, or open a catch-up packet, We got probs. That's problems, by the way. Slang. Yeah.
Even if you choose not to send your child to preschool. Lots of these things could be learned just by putting them in front of PBS. I disagree with that. But anyway, let me continue here. Or learning apps, rather than letting them watch Japanese anime all day and play mindless video games with no educational value for four years.
If you know a child who will be starting school next year, or has just started this week. Please take the time to interact with them and help them prepare. It overwhelms their little mind so much to come in knowing nothing, but Please help them. Th this this is staggering. Staggering.
So she had to write a follow-up post because she got hate mail. all this hate mail from parents who say that's the teacher's job. The teacher is supposed to is is is in charge of teaching their kid how to read and write and hold a pencil and wipe their butts. And Marcia goes on to say, look, and she did a follow-up. She said Before they ever step foot in a classroom, they learn from us how to communicate, how to handle frustration, how to take care of themselves and even how to learn love learning.
This is what parents are supposed to do. She says parents are supposed to be doing this. But they're not doing it. And I'm wondering why is it? Why are parents where do w There is clearly some sort of a break somewhere.
When did that happen? And by the way, are you noticing this trend? I mean, this is St. Louis. Are you noticing that trend in your community?
Is this just a big city problem? Or is this something that you guys are dealing with in medium sized cities or small towns? Marcia goes on to say, When teachers share their experiences, it's not to shame parents, it's out of love for the children and the hope we can work together. I appreciate every teacher who shows up with patience, grace, and so much love, even when it's hard.
So instead of sending negativity, let's use that same energy to pour into our little ones, read with them, talk with them, let them try, fail, try again. That's the investment that will truly pay off. And and she goes on to say we are all on the same team here, parents, teachers, and most importantly, our kids. I feel sorry. My heart breaks for school teachers around the nation.
And I'm just curious, teachers, whether you're retired or maybe you're currently a teacher. Are you having to deal with this? Do you see this? This is happening in your school. But there has been a complete breakdown in society with the millennial generation, a complete breakdown.
And what concerns me is what this is going to look like a few years from now. When you're literally, I guess moms and dads are just parking the kids in front of the video games, and that's it. They think they've done their job. But the idea that you're going to You're you're sending your kid to kindergarten and they can't even up They don't know how to open a milk container. They don't know how to button their own pants.
You're not teaching them right from wrong either. That's the other thing here. The the idea of staying in line and doing all no, they're not teaching them right from wrong. And we see that on the streets of many major cities right now. Wow, Marcia, I I wish you nothing but the best.
You sound like an incredible person and a great teacher. And I hate this, but clearly. Parents are failing here. That's what this is all about. And we can't legislate that.
All right, got to take a quick break. 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show. We all know that feeling.

John Jen Socky uh saying that Prayer is useless. It's the most important thing we could ever do. It's the most effective thing we could do. And It's the first thing that Congress did when it came into session when they first founded this country. I'm just so tired of Fox News referring to this guy as a girl.
And I'm just hoping that Newsmax will come on Sirius Radio and. I love your KWAM app. Thank God for your K-WAM app that I can listen to you over the road here. you know, we we love you. I listen to you every day and uh I pray that God will continue to bless you and you stay under the right hand of the shadow of God for His.
power and might to broaden your uh your ministry and your uh your vocation here. German Shepard, I sure do appreciate those kind words. And yeah, it would be great. For Newsmax to get a serious XM channel. We have a lot of fun with our show.
And I just say what I say I say what needs to be said, German Shepard. I really don't know any other way to do it.
So I'm grateful they just never tell me what to say, what not to say. They just turn me loose. Yeah, and I love it. I as a driver I can't watch TV but there is a way where I Can turn off the phone and still listen to it, but it's a pain. I just wish it.
Was on Sirius Radio. Sure. God bless you and have a great week. German Shepard, God bless you as well. Be safe out there.
One of our great truck drivers that listened to the program, and he's also a great American patriot. Good, good man. Oh Vanity Fair. Finally, it came around, and they reportedly wanted to offer the first lady. A Cover photo.
Which you know, they didn't do we had that she's the most beautiful first lady in American history. And she's been rejected by all of these. Fashion mags because she's a Republican. And the leftists are going nuts over this. And some of the Vanity Fair staffers are saying, well, we're going to quit our jobs.
We will walk out of the building if Belania Trump appears on the cover. The good news is they're going to be able to keep their jobs because Melania Trump, this is according to page 6. When she found out that Vanity Fair wa finally finally Finally, she wanted her on the cover. She laughed at them and said, I'm good. Thanks.
Not going to do it. I love that. Good for you, Melania Trump. And by the way, they say, according to page six, that she doesn't have time to be sitting in a photo sheet. Her priorities are for as First Lady and far more important.
And those roles are far more important. Good for you. Good for you, First Lady. I love that. Anyway, the magazine's new global editorial director, Mark Waddici, trying to woo misses Trump back in July.
But when his employees found out this week, they threatened to quit their jobs. One mid-level editor told the Daily Mail. If Kwaduchi puts Milania on the cover, half the editorial staff will walk out, I guarantee it. I will walk out the mother fornicating door, and half my staff will follow me. Wow.
If I have to work bagging groceries at Trader Joe's, I'll do it. Of course it's always tradered shows. Always trader. You might remember Anna Wintour. She was the one who actually snubbed, she was the first person to snub Melania over on the cover of Vogue.
Unbelievable.
Alright, but. In the eyes of the Democrats, Beauty for them is uh Big M, Michelle Obama. The rest of us Hey. We like Melania. Hang tight, folks.

Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee. It's America's conservative blowtorch. That's us, that's right. I love this American ride. Todd Stern.
You know, I'm getting people dropping by the Todd Stern Show Palatial News Bunker. And they're wanting to see the Trump swag. You know, Dylan, what I may need to do here is we should probably charge admission. Right, uh got tickets. To see the Trump swag that the president gave me.
Gonna have a line outside the door, higher security. We can do that. I think so. I need to put it under lock and key. Yeah, you do.
You need a box.
So you got to hold the medallion the president gave me. It feels like At least five pounds. It's it's huge. It's huge. I was concerned.
I'll tell you, I was concerned because I didn't want to pack it in the luggage because, you know, TSA, they rummage through, you know.
So I thought, I'll put it on, I'll do, I'll throw it in the carry-on. And I was worried that TSA might say, you can't board the plane with that. And surely, if you try to tell them, no, this is from the president, he actually gave it to me. They're like, okay, buddy. He literally, you know, I didn't think about this until later.
The pin he gave me was the pen that he signed. The U.S. flag executive order with the one where, you know, if you burn all glory, you're going to jail. I actually now own that pen. He should have signed that pin.
Okay. Well, he did. You did pin to sign the pen. The pen is actually signed. The pen is autographed by the president.
That's awesome. I'm just saying.
So, anyway, it was a great time. And if you missed our interview with the president, you can go and download our podcast and listen to the entire conversation. We had so much fun. And I know the White House was really happy with the way things turned out. As a matter of fact, we are working next on the Defense Secretary, Pete Hegseth, who I ran into at the White House.

901-260-5926. Let's go to Steve in Houston, Texas, listening to us on Patriot Talk 920. Hi, Steve. What's on your mind? Hey, Todd, congratulations on your interview for for with Trump, man.
I would give anything to sit down with that man for thirty minutes. Steve, thank you for that. You know, just, and he's such an affable person, a very down-to-earth. And at the same time, you know, you know that you're in the presence of the president of the United States of America. But you know, Todd, I think I think what this country needs is more public education on the Constitution.
I mean, I listen to people on social media. you know, I've never lived in a time, I'm fifty six years old, where You know, supporting the president wasn't at least considered patriotic. I mean, There's always been division, but people never wanted to attack you. This versus The President of the United States and I think it's it's it's the mainstream media that is brainwashing these people. I mean I was Talking to somebody the other day, they were debating on TikTok about Trump, and this trans lady was saying, Well, she's afraid to lose her.
Her day ride to the So, you know, the Constitution, there's no special rights for anybody. We all have the same rights. You know, I've never considered myself a Democrat or a Republican until Trump. And at first, I thought because he was so rich and because of his status, He was just going to be another one of the You know, they've been playing puppet with us for so many years, the Democrats and Republicans. Uh And then when I saw him what he was saying and what he was doing You know, I'm proud to identify as a Republican now but but But it's because of Trump.
I've never seen a report. That I supported because it's a You know, they all play good cop, bad cop with us. You know, they talk. They're going to do this that most of them promise to do everything Trump said. Do it.
Yeah, it's true. And if they said, you know, Trump loves a blue sky, they'd want gray clouds. It makes no sense. But this is. Really, Steve, I mean, this is what Trump derangement syndrome looks like, and it's a tragic thing.
But there is a visceral hatred in this country. And it's directed at President Trump and conservatives. And I think Trump was on to something years ago when he said. They're coming after me, but I'm standing between them and you. And I think a lot of people understand that now.
I really do. Steve, thank you for the call, and thank you for listening to Patriot Talk 920. I've got to give a shout out here to our good buddy, Wyatt Cox. Who runs? K-E-L-Y-A-M-F-M in Elite, Nevada.
It is a great radio station, and we love hearing from our great listeners and friends in Ely. And Wyatt is the recipient of a big-time radio award. Radio Inc. announced that he is the winner of the Radio Wayne Award. It's the industry's longest running and most prestigious honor.
Recognizing excellence in radio sales, marketing, and management. And we certainly want to congratulate Wyatt and all the good people down there in Elite Nevada. Let's go to Betty, Gainesville, Georgia, W D U N. Hi, Betty, what's on your mind?
Well you hit it. Made a comment. By the way, I love your program. About Melania Trump. I had just put on my Facebook, I think, yesterday.
when I read that about the editor going to walk out with her. Yeah. Let her walk out and not let the door hit her on the ass on the way out. Because She should have been on magazine covers years. She said.
Beautiful woman. And that's all I have to say. Daddy, as the great Bill O'Reilly would say, you ke you kept it pithy today. Yeah, it just burned me up when I read that and I said, does she think she is. Edit her and and let her walk out.
Who cares? I like the way you think, Betty. Thank you. And by the way, we're working on coming to Gainesville, so be listening to WTUN. They'll tell you all about that coming up soon.
All right, we've got to take a quick break here, folks, going right back to the phones. 901-260-5926, our number. That's 901-260-5926. Oh, wait, wait a second. This is Labor Day weekend.
I should have planned a vacation. I may work on that in the break. We'll be right back. Yeah, welcome back, everybody. This is the Todd Stearns Radio Show.
You know, I told you Many, many moons ago, that when I started out in journalism, I was a print journalist, and I always felt like that's what I was going to be. I was so inspired growing up reading the writings of people like Furman Bischer, the great sports editor at the Atlanta Journal Constitution, and of course the great, the great Louis Grizzard. Who was the longtime columnist for the newspaper until he passed away back in the 1990s? And I really fashion myself as a modern day Louis Grizzard, incorporating a lot of southern euphemisms in my writing. And of course, Ludlow Porcia, the list goes on and on and on.
And those people inspired me. And I used to read the Atlanta Journal Constitution all the time. And I suspect many of you folks in the state of Georgia did so. One of the nation's storied newspapers.
However, it went completely far left. And today, just well, within the past couple of hours, the Atlanta Journal making the following announcement. That they will end publication of the Atlanta Journal Constitution on December 31st. That will be the very last print edition of the newspaper. After a hundred and fifty seven years.
of publication, the Atlanta Journal Constitution is going belly up. They instead are going towards a new digital Format and they are going to become a fully digital organization.
However, it means a lot of people are going to be losing their jobs. I think about all the press workers and the typesetters and It's really a sad day for the journalism business, but we have, you know, they brought it on themselves. The same thing's happening here in Memphis, and it's sad because the state of print journalism across the entire country. It's in the blank hole. If you will.
The Atlanta Journal saying, We did not make this decision lightly. For many of us, reading the paper with our morning coffee is as ingrained in our routine as brushing our teeth. or scrambling eggs, embracing our digital future means we can focus every resource and every ounce of energy on producing world class journalism and delivering it to each of you in the most impactful way. I remember when I was a college kid walking into the Atlanta Journal. Uh, the city of the United States.
And How I was just in awe. The thing was just. Filled hundreds of employees. They had their own cafeteria. It was um There was so much energy and excitement there.
And now it's eh, you know, it looks like an insurance office.
So I'm curious, are you surprised by this? And are you going to miss the newspaper? You know, I Yeah, I I'm one of those old school guys. I loved being able to put some quarters there into the paper newspaper rack and you pull out the newspaper and you get a little bit of ink on your fingers and but you sit there and you would have your lunch or breakfast and you would open up the newspaper. You would read the newspaper and check out the sports section, read the funny papers.
And that's That's going by the wayside. Those days are now about to end in Atlanta. It was interesting. A lot of conservatives call it the Atlanta urinal and constipation. It's true.
It's not that I don't think the digital world has made newspapering irrelevant. I think the journalists have. And I go back to thinking, you know, the reason, you know, one of the reasons I bought the Atlanta newspaper? I wanted to see what Louis Grousard was writing about. There was an appointment, there was somebody in that paper that you wanted to read.
Whether it's a lifestyle column, remember, oh goodness, somebody in Atlanta. or in the game will we'll call in. She used to write a column. She was a Southern writer and she r used to write about something called Crab Apple or had a home on Crab Apple, and her name escapes me, but you just had to read her column. 901-260-5926.
That's 901-260-5926. Does anybody actually buy a newspaper anymore? Anybody actually read it? I mean, they're just shells. There's not a lot of original content.
It's basically rehashed Associated Press garbage. There's no creativity and every single columnist is a far left lunatic.
So I'm not terribly surprised. That The Atlanta General Constitution is going to be ending its print edition. But let me say this: that also means that a good many people are going to be unemployed. Because these d and here's the dirty little secret about digital journalism. There's not a lot of money in it.
And there's no way they're going to be able to sustain the staffing numbers they have. It's just, it's going to be impossible. 901-260-5926 is our number. That's 901-2605-2566. 260-5926.
Let's go to Rick in Greensboro, North Carolina. WSJS, our great affiliate out there in those parts. Hi, Rick. What's going on? Hi, Todd.
It's a great day here in the Tar Hill State. I hope you're doing well. I'm doing good. Thanks for asking.
Well good. I just wanted to make a comment on the executive order. That Donald Trump signed about burning the American flag, which I totally agree with. My point is that prior to him signing the executive order, it was a crime, in fact, a hate crime to burn a pride flag, whether it's the old rainbow style or the new one that has the pink and the white and the brown and all that. And it upset me that there was a man in Iowa In twenty nineteen Adolfo Martinez, maybe you've heard of his case.
That you know, expressly said he was against the homosexual, lesbian, trans pansexual lifestyles. And he went to the United Church of Christ in Ames, Iowa, And rip down this great big pride flag that was hanging over the door of the church. went back to a club and burned it in the parking lot.
Now for that he went to court. They found out who mister Martinez was. And they took him to court in Iowa of all places, which I thought was a very conservative state. I guess not. And his Court-appointed attorney didn't really do him much good at all.
The man got seventeen years in prison for burning the pride flag.
Now, if it had not been for, well, if it had not been for the judge. you know, saying this was a hate crime because you told us that you hate This community It would have only been a couple of years for theft and destruction of property. But because it was a hate crime, according to the judge and the prosecutor, The guy got 15 extra years tacked onto his sentence, and he said, I did it. Because I love the Lord. I disagree with this kind of lifestyle.
And I want the whole world to know it, and I'm not ashamed to go to prison.
So, look, here's the deal, Rick. And I am familiar with that case. And the reality is that the guy stole something. He stole the flag. From the church, and then he burned it.
And I guess there was a charge with arson, he was charged with theft. And you're right. He was then charged with a hate crime, which I'm just opposed to all hate crimes. I think crime is, you know, if you're committing a crime that you've got hate in your heart already, I'm not sure why we need to elevate. you know, crimes against people based on on sex or skin color.
But, yeah, the reality is that the judge gave him that amount of time because he said it was a hate crime. And it is right now in the United States of America, according to the laws, that is legal. But you're not allowed to burn I'm sorry, but you're but you're if you if you burn if you burn the American flag, that's perfectly fine. But if you go out there and burn a pride flag, yes, you could go to jail and you could be facing many years in jail because they do consider that a hate crime. But you know, these groups of people, whether it's Antifa or by any means necessary or whoever it is, they get together and they chant and they cheer and they.
take our American flag, throw it on the ground, douse it with a lighter fluid, and then burn it. To me, that tells me they hate this country. Of course they do. Why can't we apply that same standard to these folks and say, look, you're burning the flag. Not in a respectful way as you should when you have an old flag.
You know what I'm talking about. The proper way to dispose of a tattered Worn flag is to have a ceremony, really. We talked about this yesterday, absolutely. Yeah, yeah, I give it to the veterans here, and they properly dispose of any used flags. But these people are taking brand new off the shelf and saying we hate America.
So, shouldn't we apply that standard to them? And Donald Trump said you'll get a year in jail. To me, I think that ought to be enhanced. I don't know what you think.
Well, yeah, I look, I think that it's a heinous thing, burning the flag of this country. And qu quite frankly, in my estimation, you burn old glory, you get a one way ticket to whatever third world country you want to go to. That's how serious I am about this. I'm tired of people hating my country. And I want them gone.
If you don't love America, you are free to go and live somewhere else. I mean, that's it's pretty simple for me, Rick. I'm a hard liner on that. I agree with you. I'm tired of people.
Parading around with their nation's flags and saying how great they are. Yeah. Let me say this. You march, and this angers me to no end. These people marching around with their Mexican flags, and then they're burning our flag at the same protest.
You know what? Get the hell out of my country. Go back to Mexico. Rick, I'm sorry. I got a little riled up now.
I was having a good day until you called, Rick. See? Yeah. I'm sorry, that kind of stuff gets me riled up too. Gets my German temper up.
I got to go to Bojangles now. All right. Thanks, Rick. Thanks, Rick. Appreciate that.
Let's go to Foy in Gainesville, Georgia, listening to W Den. Foy? Boy. It has been ages since you have called. I know.
But I listen every day and today it it rang a bell with me. when you were talking about the Atlanta Journal. I grew up in Marietta, Georgia. and live in Gainesville now. And uh I from the time I could read it well enough to read a newspaper about five years old.
I would Weight on the Front porch steps. With some of our boarders that my mother kept, she was a widow. And so I waited with some of the boarders for the newspaper to come. Uh after school I've late and Um we would get the newspaper. I always loved to hold it in my hands.
I I'd I'd like to see the paper and hold the thing. And I enjoyed as I got a course, you know, when I was that young age, I would want to read the Funnies. And anything else that we was interesting to me, but as I got a little older, I read Louis Grizzard, whom I enjoyed so much. And then the lady you were speaking of, Celestine Sibley. Yes, that's her.
That's her. And crab apple, she wrote about, and sweet apple. And uh she was wonderful to read. And in fact, I have two or three of her books on my shelf. And uh And now and then I'll take them off and just read some of the uh uh things that she put in her in her books.
But I just was uh thinking of uh you and wanted to and tell you that I remember those things and We'll be looking forward to hearing about when you come to Gainesville. You said you're planning a trip here soon.
So I'll be listening. And we'll have to get together, Foy. I'm just so glad you called and I got to ring your bell today, Flafoy. You rang. it you rang it back.
John, we love you and your program.
Well, Foy, thank you. And you know, I think about the newspaper business and I'm just old school. I love I love the way the newspapers used to be and I miss that. And I hate that kids aren't going to be able to experience the joy of getting that newspaper and just sitting down and reading and consuming what's in those pages. Mm-hmm.
right when I taught school I did some units. on uh newspaper reading and I had some really good activities that we did. teaching them how to read the newspaper and and to enjoy it and Uh there'll be nothing like that now around here. Our local paper is only publishing, I think, twice a week now. And uh there's just no daily paper to come out and and look forward to coming out and holding in your hands.
I like that w uh about your book too. I uh enjoy the most recent book out Yeah. I'll get that next one, the devotional that you've got just written. you and your friend I'll be getting that one very soon. Wonderful.
Well, Foy, it's so great to hear from you, and we look forward to seeing you in Gainesville later this year. Let's go to Beverly in Gainesville, Georgia. Beverly, my mind is slipping. I cannot remember. I cannot believe that I forgot Celestine Sibley's name.
I had to think about it, to tell you the truth, Todd. It just I said, oh, I know that name. I've got that book. Who is that? I had to think a minute.
So, hey, we're in the same generation. I understand completely. But I also wanted to tell you that Oh, when I was Coming up, uh four years old well it we had no pre-K in that Um but we did have half day kindergarten. mother would get the Atlanta time. And they had a portion of that that Was or kills it.
I am here. started teaching me to read before I got to kindergarten. Is that right? Yes. And when I got to first grade, I was sitting in the club room.
You remember coat rooms or club rooms? I was sitting back in the club room. reading fourth grade readers while everybody else was learning the first grade leader.
Well, I'll be so you're saying your mom, your mother prepared you. For school. Yeah. And one day I walked. out there with uh where the teacher was and I said You tell me something she said, yes.
I said, What? Brad Joe Mean. There was like Box of something stored out back there in the coat room, and it said fragile on it. And I not only Look at Sounded itself. And I said, What does fragile mean?
And she told me. I don't know.
So at the end of that year, she and my Sunday school teacher, who was also The Atlanta owes Let's go superintendent. At the And my pediatrician said Don't put Her in second grade, take her to third grade because this was also before the days of is that right?
So you're smart. You're smart. You're smart as a whip, Beverly.
Well wasn't that part, but if you ever put it if you ever put it down in numbers, I went into a history field.
Well, let me say this, Beverly, and I've got to let you go because we've got to take a hard break here. You did mispronounce fragile. It's if you've seen Christmas Story, you know it's fragile. Rogile. It's Italian.
We'll be right back. All right, welcome back, everybody. Caroline Levitt just sending a message to Americans living in Democrat cities. I want you to listen. If your mayor is a Democrat, if your city is controlled by Democrats, You need to listen to this.
Caroline Lovitt just said this from the podium at the White House. Decline is a choice. This is for all of you people in Memphis, Tennessee, especially, my hometown. Decline is a choice. You don't have to live in constant fear of being robbed, raped, or murdered.
Your leaders are lying. and have been failing you for decades. As President Trump has said, all these elected officials in charge, all they have to do is pick up the phone and ask the President for the Federal Government's help. President Trump doesn't care if they are Republican or Democrat leaders. He wants Americans to be safe and for every law abiding American citizen across the country to be able to thrive in their city and in their community.
Now I just want to ask you, how many of you out there Want President Trump to step in. and help your city. Help your town. Be safe. How many of you want that to happen?
Well, I want to hear from you. Because they monitor this radio program there at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. And I think it would be really good to help our cause. I mean, we got a lot of great keyboard warriors. Great keyboard warriors But we need to hear from you.
How many of you want President Trump to intervene? 901? 260-5926. Again, that's 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show.
Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's America's favorite gun totem, Bible-clanging, deplorable America. That's right. I love this American ride. All right. Well, hello, everybody.
Welcome to the Tom Starrens Radio Show, hour three. It has been. A really, really busy show today. A lot going on. By the way, tonight, five o'clock Eastern, the Todd Stern show on Newsmax.
And we're going to have the very latest on efforts by the president to go into Chicago. And root out all of the violence there. But again, you heard Caroline Levitt say just a few moments ago: President Trump is not, he doesn't care. If your city is controlled by Democrats or Republicans, He wants help. He wants to help.
So if you're living in a city that has really been struggling with crime. The president Once once you to know that he is there. And reading from the the statement from Caroline, she says, Decline is a choice. You don't have to live in constant fear of being robbed, raped, or murdered. Your leaders are lying and have been failing you for decades.
So, my question is: Do you agree with this? And would you like for President Trump to step up and intervene? and bring law and order into American cities. Our number nine oh one two six zero five nine two six. That's nine oh one two six zero five nine two six.
Now there is a story we've been following. In uh Fairfax County. Virginia. And this is This is just insanity. Just outright insanity what's happening there with the school district.
Where you had the school system. And the allegations that are under investigation by Governor Glenn Younken and the state police is that a school. Help facilitate secret abortions for students. Without moms and dads being informed, and we understand, we understand that our tax dollars may have paid for all of this.
Well, I want to go to our Patriot mobile newsmaker line right now. And bring in our special guest, Hannah Lait, with Concerned Women of America. Hannah, good to have you with us. Hi, Todd. Good to be with you today.
So let's talk about what's happening tonight. I understand there is going to be a big press conference and school board meeting and Concerned Women for America. You guys are going to be there. What's going on? Yeah, absolutely.
I mean, we've been following a story since day one. When we heard of these allegations on August 5th, we were immediately urging Virginia officials to look. Into these serious allegations. Tonight, as the school year is starting, the board is reconvening for the new school year. At 6:30, there will be a press conference headed up by Students for Life Concerned Women for America.
We are partnering with them. And we're just going to be bringing attention to this issue at the start of the new school year.
So take us back through here, Hannah, and explain to us what we believe happened at this school. Yep.
So August 5th, we had a shocking report come out from an independent journalist on Substack. Who gathered reports from whistleblowers, from teachers, from former students? These allegations are from 2021, believe it or not. That Fairfax County School District was arranging bankrolling and covering up abortions for two underage students. The first Students.
Reported in a handwritten letter to that investigator that when she learned of her pregnancy, she came to a social worker at the school. names the social worker that that social worker scheduled an appointment at an abortion clinic. paid the cost of that medical procedure and kept everything quiet without informing her family. She later went to a trusted teacher. She was only 17 years old when the abortion was performed.
The second student, who still remains unnamed as well, was five months pregnant when she went to the same social worker that social worker once again scheduled an appointment took her to the abortion clinic. And this student actually was able to run away. The um She was full of fear, as she now reports, and came to a trusted teacher who's been serving as a whistleblower. And that teacher said, that girl never wanted that abortion and her family was never told.
So we have two girls telling the same story of the same school counselors scheduling abortions for them. Violating Virginia state law, as you said, it is required that abortion clinics have 24-hour parental consent from minors. Violated that law and used school-designated taxpayer funds to cover these abortions.
So these are serious allegations. I absolutely believe them. We're going to have two girls telling the same story. And my question is: are there more girls who experience the same?
So at the school board meeting tonight, we are sincerely hoping That as investigations continue outside of the school, we absolutely need these outside investigations looking in, that the board can take seriously these allegations. And start to clean house because this means. Entire groups of teachers need to be reviewed for their complicity in. These egregious acts, and did they know about this? Did they turn a blind eye?
So they really need to take a close, close look at their own school district.
So again, Hannah, when you look at these allegations and there have been so many other crazy stories coming out of Virginia especially, it's really strange that Virginia has become a hotbed for this sort of radicalization. Mm. Yeah. Yes, absolutely. I'm not sure what's going on in the Virginia water system, something like that.
But I mean, we have these allegations coming out of. Underage abortions, we also have transgender students being allowed to use whatever bathroom that they want to use, no matter what their biological sex is, no matter how that makes any other student feel. We have walker room issues.
So we Consider Women for America has been watching schools very closely as the school year starts to kick back into here. Tonight at this press conference, this is going to be an utmost Priority to make sure that the school district is held accountable. All right. And again, I want to pass along that information at 6:30 Eastern. That the press conference will be held, the board meeting at 7.
This is going to be at the Luther Jackson Middle School in Falls Church, Virginia, for all of our listeners in that area of the country. Again, Luther Jackson Middle School for the school board meeting, Fairfax County. And I know our friends from Conservative Women for America will be there, and you do as well. Even if you don't have kids, you're a taxpayer. You need to be there to find out what the heck is going on.
Yeah, absolutely, Todd. I mean, the school board says that their goal for the district is to build the future. I'm reading this from their website: build the future child by child. They want to create students that meet high academic standards, lead healthy, ethical lives. And they are responsible and innovative global citizens.
These are high and lofty goals, and I think every school should have these goals. but they are falling ridiculously short. I mean, these allegations are the antithesis. Of these stated goals. How can a school equip students to live a healthy life when the school is trafficking students for secret abortions that are neither safe nor ethical?
How can a school produce responsible citizens when they themselves are violating the law? And sending minors off for abortions and abusing taxpayer dollars, they can't. As we've been talking about, the school district is falling short of its own goals and These allegations really do call for an overhaul. We're hoping for some accountability. All right.
Hannah, got to leave it there. Hannah, Lape, everybody, with Concerned Women for America. And you're going to make sure you're going to be at this meeting later tonight. Hannah, thank you. Thank you, Todd.
Wow. What What an insane story. story, just unbelievable. By the way, I want to go back and play some audio. The mayor of Minneapolis.
This guy a complete loser His name is Jacob Fry, and he's one of these soy boys. He rides around with the rolled-up pants, you've seen the guys with the rolled-up pants. and he flights about on one of these little scooters. Anyway, Mayor Fry out there yesterday. Here is the mayor, cut number nine.
Thoughts and prayers while they're appreciated They're not enough. These kids were literally praying. Of course, it's on us to talk about doing the right things, but more importantly, it's on all of us to act. to make a difference.
so that it's not just this should never happen again. Um I was listening to Laura just a second ago. Talk about how you approach these situations as a mom or as a dad, and that is the way you should approach them. These are not just somebody else's kids. Think about them as if they were your own.
We all have titles in life, but I'll tell you: the title that matters most to me is husband and dad. And we have to be thinking about our children in these scenarios, and this happens far too often. Mm. So he tripled down. On this whole thing about prayer not working, not being enough.
And Jake Tapper over at CNN is really concerned that we get the pronouns of the shooter right. Cut number six. Another piece of the puzzle as to who the shooter was. The Minneapolis Star Tribune says, according to court records, because there's been some confusion about what the shooter's name was, Robin Westman's mother applied to change her child's name. In 2019, it was at one point Robert Paul Westman.
Correct. But since she identifies as a female and wants her name to reflect that identification, she was underage, it's now Robin.
So you gotta make sure you gotta get the gotta get the pronouns right. Those are the things that matter to the people in the media. Oh, here's a PMS Now host. Talking about prayer, cut number two. As an elected official, you are on the ground with your folks and you appreciate this journey.
I agree with the mayor. The thoughts and prayers, I'm so beyond.
So beyond that nonsense, the lie. of that. Because what we have are people who continue to stand in the way of actually doing something. to stop the violence against their own kids. It is amazing to me.
We watch young kids die in classrooms and now in church. And all we get are thoughts and prayers. That's because Prayer works, sir, prayer. prayer works.
So I'm I'm just confused about what's going on right now over at Fox News. You've got Trey Gowdy, who's a star. I mean, they treat him like a rock star over there. And so Trey Gowdy is now calling for gun control. He said the problem is the guns, not that transgender people are running around shooting church kids, cut number eight.
Our system is reactive.
Something bad happens, we react to it. And what people are crying for now is: how can we prevent this? How can we stop it? And the only way to stop it is to identify the shooter ahead of time or keep the weapons out of their hands. And so we're going to have to have a conversation of freedom.
versus Protecting children. I mean, how many school shootings does it take before we're going to have a conversation? By keeping firearms, it's always a young white male, almost always. All right. We're done, we're done, we're done, we're done.
So look, uh Trey County is an idiot. And he's a Democrat. That's all you need to know about this guy. He is not a Republican. If you are pro-gun control, you're not a conservative.
You're not a Republican.
So then Kennedy, who is one of the hosts, her name is Lisa Kennedy? I think that's her first name. Anyway, she goes by Kennedy. She's one of these one-word people. And she says that this has nothing to do with the fact that this dude was trans.
Take a listen. Do you think there could have been something done if someone changes their name? Uh And thinks they're another gender, would you not have them have access to weapons? No, I think there are trans people who are stalked and they are terrorized and they worry about their own self-protection and they deserve to protect themselves. I worry about someone who has ever gone to the doctor and says, you know, I feel a little anxious.
Can you prescribe me some Xanax for a plane? And then all of a sudden their name goes on some federal database. Yeah, and they can never get a weapon to defend themselves. There are plenty of laws keeping good people from buying guns and ammunition. You know, we talked to Joe, our local sporting goods guy, and he's furious that people who deserve to protect themselves and their families for people who enjoy a sporting life, that they are not capable to go in and buy a weapon without some sort of registry.
Yes, this person was mentally ill. It's not the trans part, it's the part that he was absolutely, completely Evil and in places like Minnesota, they do have red flag laws. And his parents should have known, and parents should be nosy, absolutely. But you know, I wish there were someone there to put a bullet between this little a-hole's eyes before he was able to pull a trigger. The only solace I have is that when he took his own cowardly life, which he should have done in the parking lot before he got out of his car, is that he woke up in hell.
That is the only comfort that I have. And taking guns away from good people who deserve self-protection, I'm sorry, it's not the answer. All right, so there you have it from Kennedy. What say you, ladies and gentlemen?
So she says the problem is not the guy was transgender. No, the guy was dealing with a mental issue. A mental health issue. That went unaddressed. 901-260-5926.

All right, let's go to the phone lines here. Youngstown, Ohio, 977 FM, great station up there. Hal, what's on your mind? Yeah, Todd, I was listening to what you said about Drake Dowdy saying that you'd have to do away with guns and uh you know free screen people before they get 'em and all that. Guns is not the problem.
It's the that that The way this to solve the problem in the first place. Of Christ. I'm a Baptist pastor. And I had never seen anything solve the problem better than People coming to Christ to get slave. And if these Democrats get away with the guns, they'd be killing each other with nail files, you know, because they're totally anti-question.
The their neighbors have told them people go out there and commit crime to fight what Trump's trying to do to to bring peace. I mean, these people are telling those people to break the law. Roller. I mean, they just they're totally reprobate and they got to get right with God to So And uh it's not the guns. Uh that that is the Yeah.
ain't right and that you know they're being used by the devil you know The devil comes to steal, to kill, and destroy. And that's what the Democrats are telling their people to do. throughout all the communities in America because They hate America. They hate peace. And they're just working for a one world government is going to be coming down the pike prophetically.
Yeah. Yeah, future, but you know, we've got to To shoot the tail and take a stand for the Lord and the gospel. Yeah, we do. Hal, and it really is that simple. And that's one of the reasons we talk about faith so much on this program is because without that, it all falls apart.
That's when you look at our first freedom that our founding fathers came up with, it was freedom of religion. They understood that without God, we would just completely unravel. Right, they know the guns. We defend ourselves with those guns, so they want to take our guns away from us. When they form a uh try to force uh communists Please stay honest.
in the near future if they can. You know, we won't be able to fight them if they've confiscated our guns. They don't care about safety. You know, they said take away people's guns for sake of safety and everything. They just want to make us defenseless for for what they got planned in the future.
Hal, I have no doubt about that at all, which is one of the reasons why they don't want people praying. You know, they really want to shame people and make them, you know, make them feel weird about praying for victims of crime. That's the reason why. Hal, I got to run. Thank you for calling in.

We'll be right back, everybody. And welcome back, everybody. This is the Todd Stearns Radio Show. Happy to have you with us. And we're honored to have a very special guest with us.
And I'm excited about this conversation. There's a brand new book that dropped just this week. And you need to get a copy of this book. And we're going to explain why in just a few moments. The name of the book is called Porcupine.
I always get it wrong. I say porcupine in a ballroom factory. It's a faith-fueled guide to positive compartmentalization.
So we have the author of, by the way, the foreword by Don Piper, who was the New York Times bestselling author of 90 Minutes in Heaven. You're going to want to get this book, and we're honored to have the author, Todd Lochner, in studio with us. Todd, good to have you on the show. Thank you so much, Todd. And yeah.
Hey, Todd, hey, Todd. All right, we have to clear this up. Is it porcupine or porcupine? Or porcupine? It's a porcupine in a balloon.
Porcupine. It's a porcupine in a balloon factory. You got to be able to have that visual. Porcupine in a yeah, that's a frightening visual, I think. That's a scary place to be.
Well, first of all, great to have you with us. And you have an amazing story, you know, just your whole life story. You're an incredibly successful businessman. And now here you are as an author.
So give us a little, give us a little background history. Tell, Tell our audience who you are.
Well, first of all, I um I'm a bonehead who made a lot of mistakes in life and learned and. That's kind of where this book comes from. Uh I grew up in Louisiana. uh without a father, had a mother that had three boys and um worked extremely hard, And um Went to college and And uh Um ended up in the uh automotive business. And I've been very fortunate for the last 12 or 13 years plus to run a pretty large organization and And as you're a business leader, I think anybody out there that's ever owned a business and you have employees, I think a lot of your time.
Gets crunched into becoming a psychologist, sort of. I mean, you know, without the degree or certification. You deal with a lot of um people and personalities from all different walks of lives. And your job is any leader is to make sure that People are focused and And they can do their job, of course, but benefit their family at the same time. you learn quite a bit from all the different things and scenarios that happen.
So I've made my mistakes along the way and as, um As I evolved I came up with the concept and I started working on it and it came to light in a book. And this is the book we've got. This is the book, Porcupine in a Balloon Factory. It just launched this week. It's available at Barnes and Nobles, Amazon.com and Um any other online facility right now?
Well, it's a wonderful book, and I had a chance to read it a couple of months back. It's a book that I think is not just for business leaders. I think anybody can pretty much get something out of this. Yeah, when I first started The concept. I was thinking it was going to be more for business leaders and training, and then as it evolved, I kept going back to my Christian roots and my Christian faith and upbringing.
And I I I just could not ignore that. And then it evolved and and went into just basically a self-help based on gratitude-based style living.
So let's talk about the porcupine and the balloon because it's an interesting metaphor.
So take us through that.
Well, a long time ago I was sitting in an office and One of my colleagues came in upset and made a comment about one of our business leaders and and just popped off and said, God Man, there's... They're like a porcupine in a balloon factory. And of course I I I fell out laughing. And immediately my Saturday Night Live. Creativity kind of went viral, and thinking of what a funny skit that would be to have a.
a porcupine coming into a balloon factory and watching everybody go nuts trying to protect the balloons. But then I thought about that. When have I been the porcupine? You know, as a business leader, when have I come in and disrupted things or. Maybe been that dream crusher.
when somebody has a great creative idea. Um and you tend to pick it apart. And as I evolved, you know, with parents. Becoming a parent, a husband, obviously, first, and then parent, and then. And as you get into family, you start understanding that, wow, man, it's so easy for a person.
to be the porcupine and pop people's balloons.
So the metaphor is of course porcupines have quills. And the balloons are the things that people hold the most dear in their life. And how do we protect those balloons? without him getting popped. And I think that's a a very key issue.
for people in to day's world you have so much coming at yuh. How do you protect the things that you hold most dear? Dylan, have I popped your balloon? I feel bad. Have I.
My balloon's made of really strong material. Oh, good. All right. It's a latex balloon.
Okay, good. I feel good about that. You mentioned this word, and it's a big word: positive compartmentalization. Exactly. What is that, and what do you mean?
Well think about it. We've all met those people that uh, you know, we've come across in life that are highly successful or they are really, really fill with joy. But Everyone everybody has their problems. You know, deaths in the family, sickness, health, issues with Personality issues with maybe their children, spouse, whatever you have, fill in your own blank. But we'll watch people and wonder how do they continue to do it?
You know, so I started studying. highly successful people is how it kind of started off. And I had several friends that I considered the epitome of where You know, the business concept was. And then I looked at my spiritual friends, which I consider more important, and people who I think, man, I'd love to have that relationship that they have with their Creator, and which is my God, Jesus Christ, Savior and Lord. And and I wanted I wanted to figure it out, you know, man, uh 'cause w one of my friends had gone through cancer, all kinds of stuff.
I never knew. And and I asked him one day, he said, Man, I never really thought about it, but um I didn't want my children to really know The I guess the severity of what I had And I ended up beating it. But I compartmentalize it. And man, that just really stuck with me.
So then I started doing a lot of research on compartmentalization. And of course, there's two schools of thought. What's bad, you should never suppress your feelings. That's that's the only thing I've heard about is that's really bad. You should never do that.
No, it's actually it's actually not saying that you're going to suppress them. It's having the mental discipline Not to deal with issues out of pure emotion. I see. I think that's where most people really fail is that. you know, an issue arises and you react out of emotion instead of shelving that for a second.
Finishing what you were doing, or focusing on what you're doing, and then come back to it when you have a better mental clarity to deal with it. And that's when you can make better decisions instead of emotionally reacting to something. And I would venture to say that most people. that are listening to this, and I can point to myself on this. that most bad decisions that I've ever made in my life that had substantial consequences Happen out of an emotional state where I made a decision instead of.
thinking it through and using logic. And waiting for the right time to deal with that situation. When you're going back and you and I do the same thing, I love reading stories about successful people, how they got from point A to point B. And so you're looking at all these leaders on the business side and the faith side. Did you find a common denominator Between all of them?
I did, and the common denominator is what I alluded to earlier, was that. They they did not react on emotions all the time. They would stop. and think about the process. shelve that process or shelve that, put it in a compartment and shelve it for a little bit until they could get to it.
And think it through more rationally, and then they would make a much better decision instead of reacting. in a highly volatile emotional state. Todd Lochner is joining us in studio. That's L-O-C-H-N-E-R. And he is the author of the new book out this week called Porcupine in a Balloon Factory.
Don Piper, writing the forward, New York Times best-selling author of 90 Minutes in Heaven. You're going to want to get a copy of this book, folks, and it is available to Amazon. Wherever you buy your books, you're going to be able to get a copy of this. You know, t Todd, when When you look at the challenges that a lot of people have, because you're right, it is easy to walk in there and just start blowing up people's balloons here and exploding them. We don't need to be doing that.
So I'm curious, what's the message? There have to be two messages, I imagine, one for the faith audience and the other for the business audience.
Well, family too. You know, one of the simple examples that we've all probably, if you've ever been a father or you have children. A simple little scenario, and this is not in the book, but this is just a simple scenario you can think about. You have a really tough day at work. You come home.
And Your kids are so excited to see you. Your wife's excited to see you. But you don't reciprocate the excitement. You've had a bad day and you let everybody in that house know how bad your day is. It wasn't your kids' fault.
They didn't know. It wasn't your wife's fault.
So what would have been better to have done? Suck it up a little bit. Enjoy the time with your kids. Table that emotion. Wait till they go to bed, tuck them in.
Spend some quality time with your wife, and then... deal with your emotions.
So that's that's on a little small scale that we've all dealt with. Um And I think that's the thing. The the main thing too that that I touch on in this book, which I think is extremely point uh important. Todd is that There seems to be a real big Rising over the last several years of this victimhood mentality. Oh my gosh, everybody's a victim?
Yeah, and that's what's scary. You know, it's and typically what happens, you know, when people fall into that trap. It's a pure emotional state. They're not thinking logically. They're not looking at things.
And so. I've and the more I studied these highly successful people, And the more I s studied highly successful spiritual people to me, is that the one thing that they have in common That that you asked earlier to address. Yeah. They live a gratitude-based lifestyle. And when I started really analyzing it, I'm like, you know what?
If you look at a person who succumbs to the victim mentality. They do not practise gratitude. But you'll never find a person who practises gratitude being a victim.
So again, folks, the book, Porcupine in a Balloon Factory, and Todd, you help people avoid the trap of victim mentality. Absolutely. Yes. I love this. I love this.
And it's got real life. I'm sorry. It's got real life scenarios as well. Great stories. And then practical application.
The thing I. That's what I love about this.
So after every chapter, it's easy. Yeah, it's it's sort of almost like a Bible study kind of devotion, but in that idea is you have you have some work to do after reading each chapter. Yeah, that's a great analogy. Thank you. I love this.
All right. Get a copy of this book, folks. You need it in your library. You need it in your church library as well. And you can go to Amazon, Barnes and Noble, as Todd said, and get yourself a copy of Porcupine in a balloon factory.
It's the you. Why can't they say porcupine? Yeah, well, if you're from the South, you say porcupine. That's true. And that's what we do.
When I was at Fox News in New York, they would laugh at me because I tried to clean up my Southern accent. I didn't want to completely overwhelm people. But I'll never forget, I came out of a It was something, oh, it was Big Mac celebrating its birthday.
So I said, Happy birthday, McDonald's. And so I come out of the studio, and everybody's laughing. I'm like, what? They're saying McDonald's. And I'm like, Yeah, it's McDonald's.
It's a great restaurant. No, it's McDonald's. I said, no, it's McDonald's. If it was McDonald's, it would have been MIC. Not MAC.
