Well, hello, everybody. Welcome to the Todd Starns Radio Extravaganza. We have a A jam-packed show for you on this Friday. And whoo! My goodness, what?

What an insane week it has been, and what a busy Newsday it's been as well. Great to have you guys with us. On a pretty exciting day for us after the show, heading off to Knoxville, Tennessee, where we're going to be a part of a major gathering of gun owners, Second Amendment enthusiasts and supporters. The gun owners of America are meeting, and we'll be meeting a lot of our great listeners out there. Chris Salcedo from Newsmax TV is going to be here in just a little while.

He's also one of the speakers this weekend.

So, looking forward to talking to Salcedo. Also, if you're in Memphis this week, it's a great week to be in Memphis. Elvis Week starts tonight and all through next week. And we have thousands and thousands of Elvis fans in Memphis coming from really all over the world, and also the FedEx St. Jude Championship.

So, the top 70 PGA golfers, the top 70 golfers in the world here in the Mid-South, and they're out playing. We're going to check in with. With our good buddy Parker May and Dylan Dandridge. They are holding court at the golf course on the 18th Fairway.

So we'll check in with those guys a little bit later. And by the way, it is also. Open line Friday, and that's always a fun day. Folks get to call in, and they get to talk about, you get to talk about whatever you want to talk about today.

So, I want you to write down our telephone number: 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. And let's start the day in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Rachel is on the line. Hi, Rachel.

How are you today? Hi, Todd. It's good to talk to you. You're one of my favorite hosts on radio.

Well, thank you for saying that, Rachel. Appreciate it. No worries. No worries. So I'm going to.

Black is a couple of things that has just been bothering me and I've wanted to call for a while, but I just haven't had the chance. The idea of Jesus Christ Superstar by these people, I really believe the Lord's got the millstone ready for them. I don't think that this is a great idea, not ever, not at any way. Um I'm a fire service marine. And I one hundred percent believe what Judge Janine was talking about, about the violence in DC.

Fredericksburg is only forty five minutes away from DC, and we have been away from DC since two thousand eight. about when the whole Barack Obama I don't know what you want to call it, rain began and everything started to go downhill really quickly. We have gotten so far outside the mark of what we're supposed to do as a country. It's just burning us up inside. And living forty five minutes away, we are seeing the constant issues of the immigration problem that they have allowed between Barack Obama and Biden and his cronies.

Have allowed to come into our city. You know, I live only about four miles from the freeway. It took me almost forty minutes to get to the freeway because there is that much traffic just on the on the small highway that we our route that we have.

So, Rachel, let me ask you, are so are people evacuating DC and moving to Fredericksburg? Is that what's happening? It looks like that, but we I mean, we also have a lot of uh growth happening just a little further south from me even. But I believe that it ha and the thing is, it's not that I just want to pick on any one group, but the amount of Muslims that we have coming into our city, we have halals opening up left, right and center. Which are their type of grocery store where they can have their food without being, you know, not kosher, but whatever they want to call it.

Healthier or whatever, but we have a lot of problems with the people coming in. And then overnight, we had, I don't know how many busloads of Ghanin people, people from Africa coming in. Almost everyone in Walmart is either Muslim or Ghanin. And we have had so many problems when we do our shopping, we do it through, you Know the program that they have at Walmart where they can deliver it to you. We have never had just any person who can fully speak English.

To drop off our stuff. Is that right? Oh, yes, sir. And then on top of that, when I went they made a mistake in our order, so we went to return something. And when we returned it, the lady at the front counter you could tell she wanted just to bust out with everything that she knew about what was going on.

They're saving, constant saving. And our prices keep going up in spite of what President Trump is doing, and I do believe that he's trying to do his best. But it it's just it's just one trickle thing after another, and it's just it's constant. It's just constant. And I don't know how we're going to pursue truth, liberty and happiness when we cannot keep ourselves taken care of in our own cities.

Rachel, I mean, these are fair concerns you're raising, and we've heard this from other cities around the country, especially with the increase of Islam. And that has been imported. And that is a very, very dangerous thing that's happening. And I think a lot of folks in Hollywood, especially, are going to wake up one day and they're going to realize they made a very, very grave error in judgment when the Islamists take over places like Hollywood. I agree.

And it's gotten worse. And my question to you, Todd, and I don't know the answer, I really don't. How is George Thores? Allowed to do this in this country? I mean, is he an American citizen?

And how is it that his son has said, I think it's a quote that he said, if you think my dad is bad, I'm going to do worse. The fact that he's allowed to pay people to be corrupt and be criminal in our cities, it should not be allowed. It should not be this he should be a pariah to everybody who's in government. Doesn't matter what side you're sitting on. He should be a pariah because it's going to fall in the lap of whoever's sitting in the office.

Yeah, the danger and the harm that Soros and his ilk have caused us in this country, you know, that's going to take That's going to take a very long time to undo. You know, we're dealing with a lot of this as far as the crime issue goes, where you have these Soros-like district attorneys that are soft on crime. And in many cases, and we saw this in Cincinnati where they would arrest somebody, they're right back out on the street again.

So I think, Rachel, you're right to be concerned. The fact of the matter is, George Soros has been overwhelmingly influential in American politics. And quite frankly, he should not have been allowed to. But that's kind of where we are right now, and it's unfortunate. And I think his son is going to be even worse than his father.

Rachel, I have to skedaddle here, but I thank you so much for your call. And don't be a stranger. Give us a holler back one of these days. Let's go to Ella J, Georgia. It wouldn't be Friday without our good buddy Joe from Ella J.

Hi, Joe. What's going on? John, you got a great show. And I tell you what, I think the stock market, the economy is just on fire with Trump. And I think your talk show has helped make him Extremely popular in the country.

And I think he's, I think I've said on one of your other shows that he's, I think he's the best leader in history. I've never been so fired up. And people down here in LAJ and North Georgia, I mean, I think, I don't think there's anybody really, I used to, well, Reagan was my, Trump and Reagan were my favorite, but now I think Trump is way ahead. I mean, the economy is on fire, the stock market's on fire, and I know your radio show has contributed to it because when I go around town and go out of town, people tell me they don't even know that I know you, but they say, Todd Starnes has a great show, and he's a big promoter of Trump. And I want to thank you for promoting him because I think you're one of the reasons.

That he is so popular in the country. And I just can't say thank you enough. And your show, and also, too, I think Newsmax is getting more and more popular. I know you're on there a lot.

So I think everywhere, all your Fox and News Macs. Todd, you're becoming You already were famous, but you're really becoming more and more famous, and you should be because you're doing a great job. The taxpayers and the citizens of America. Thank you so much.

Well, thanks, Joe. I think the word is infamous more so than famous, but I won't quibble. But, Joe, always good to hear from you. And thank you for those kind words. You know, we do have a good time on this program.

And I am a big Trump supporter. There's no hiding that fact at all. I love his agenda, and I love what he's doing for this country. You know, we're getting ready to celebrate Trump 200. This is the 200 days of the Trump presidency.

And even the Democrats are having to acknowledge how incredibly successful Trump has been. Trump has been able to get more done on Capitol Hill than anyone since LBJ. It's really been remarkable to see the president's agenda being enacted, or quite frankly, the president's executive orders making all sorts of positive change in this country. But I want to talk about something real quick before we go to break here. And this is huge.

What the president announced yesterday, ordering the Commerce Department to begin work on this new census, that is a bombshell. There's a report out in Washington state that one out of every seven A registered voters in Washington state is an illegal alien. Let me say that again, ladies and gentlemen. 700,000 people In Washington state, on the voters' rolls, are illegals. Once those numbers go away, and once we begin to root out all of the crime that has infested the election process.

This is going to revolutionize the nation.

Now, there are now some estimates that the Democrats could lose up to 50 House seats. If you take away all the Illegals, then you've got legitimate Republican wins in many of these congressional districts. But there's something else going on. According to a 2020 Pew Research Center report, if you remove the illegals from the census, it could not only cost Democrats seats in numbers, but it also could cost multiple states seats in the House of Representatives. In other words, you're going to have states like California and New York.

that would end up losing congressional districts. And I would suspect states like Florida and Tennessee would be picking up at least one or two additional congresspersons.

So this is huge. President Trump has done an amazing thing here. He is making the ballot box honest again. And we haven't had that. In in generations.

If even then So this is going to be a bombshell. And the President writing about this on True Social, people who are in our country illegally will not be counted in the census. Cut number three, please. Democrats have gerrymandered the vote beyond recognition to try to maintain their advantage in the House elections. On top of that, let's not forget.

Democrats rigged the 2020 census. By including illegal aliens. Remember, they sued Donald Trump, they sued the administration, they fought tooth and nail to include illegal aliens in the census. Twenty to thirty of House Democrat seats wouldn't exist but for illegal aliens. Texas is taking just a small corrective step against this ocean.

of fraud, this ocean of abuse by the corrupt Democrat Party. Oh, yeah, and he's he's not wrong about that. And by the way, they are c you talk about corruption. It's insane. New reporting out, Letitia James remember her, the Attorney General of New York State.

She is now under a criminal investigation. This is brilliant. All of those who declared war on Trump, they are getting theirs. And it is a wonderful thing to see. I'm already popping my Oral Redenbacher.

I've got a two liter of Dr. Pepper, and I'm going to enjoy seeing all of these people get what they deserve. All right, we do need to take a break. Here we are at the 200-day mark in, and I'm curious: how do you think President Trump is doing? What grade, if you were grading President Trump, how would you grade the president?

Give us a call, open line Friday, 901-260-5926 is our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Sterns Show. The sheriff there, a guy by the name of Stephen Tompkins, he's been pretty adamant about. Not working with ICE.

So the sheriff there, Sheriff Tompkins, a Democrat, told his deputies: you do not associate with ICE, you don't lend them a helping hand, you do nothing, absolutely nothing.

Well, today we can report that Sheriff Tompkins is now in federal custody. According to the FBI, The sheriff was arrested. and taken into custody in Fort Lauderdale for allegedly extorting fifty thousand dollars from the owner of a national cannabis retail company. The company was trying to do business in Boston and the sheriff involved in the shakedown. Unbelievable.

So there you go. You mess around, FAFO, ladies and gentlemen. That's exactly what that is. All right. I want to go to our broadcast location at the FedEx Saint-Jude Championship and say hello to Parker May and Dylan Dandridge.

Guys, good to have you with us, and we're going to talk golf a little bit later on. But, Dylan, I know that you have a great love for. Uh for for catch up. Yes, that is one of my loves. Aside from my wife, ketchup is probably number two.

It's kind of kind of the running gag in the family, right? I mean, every time we go somewhere, you actually bring your own ketchup. Yeah, and if you can recall my 19th birthday, I got a gallon of ketchup sitting at the table as like gift wrapped as part of my gift. You're very easy to buy for in the family, I'm just going to say.

So, gentlemen, and I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this. Heinz and Smoothie King have announced today. That they are introducing a new product to the market. It's called Tomato Ketchup Smoothie. The first ever ketchup-based Smoothie.

Dylan, what do you think about this one? You know, if I was eating maybe like burgers and fries or maybe chicken and fries, I probably would dip one of those two things inside the smoothie before drinking it.

So. It's not convincing me that it's a smoothie yet. it still looks like a giant ketchup bottle disguised as a smoothie. You see, Parker, that's what I'm thinking. Maybe if you're having fries.

Yeah, I'm looking at pictures of it right now, Todd. It's just not appetizing at all, if I'm being honest. Just combining the strawberries and other fruits into the tomato. I don't think that would work. It looks disgusting.

They combine crisp apple juice, strawberries, and tart raspberries with the ketchup. Oh my gosh. No, that just doesn't sound appeasing to me at all. Even though I love ketchup. Yeah.

By the way, guys, I didn't understand the reference to Scotty's chicken shack. Which is right around the corner from you guys. And because I haven't seen Happy Gilmore 2, I didn't even realize it was out yet. Yeah, it came out. Two weeks ago, great movie.

I would recommend it. And it was a great little cameo that Scotty did. There were a lot of PJA Tor Pros in the movie. Scotty is getting great reviews. He's probably one of the best PGA actors in that movie.

And they gave him a little chicken stack right here on the 18th Fairway as part of his role. Wow, they sure did. And that's definitely going to be one of the hot spots. And we'll talk about the Eats scene a little bit later on. But, yeah, Dylan, I was very, very curious to get your take on the.

Ketchup Smoothie. I think if I was desperate, it would probably have to go with it. But other than that, I think I would just dip it. Use it as a dip. Unless it's like a Bloody Mary, I mean, I don't know.

Even those, I'm not a fan of. I just can't get behind. I can only do V8. That's the only thing I do, the V8 juice. All right, guys, we'll check back in with you, Parker May, Dylan Dandridge, live at our location at the FedEx St.

Jude Golf Championship. Hang tight, everybody. Open line Friday, by the way, 901-260-5926. Our telephone number, that's 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Starn Show.

Great to have you with us on this Friday edition of the program. And I'm very, very excited about this big event happening in Knoxville. It is the Gun Owners Advocacy and Leadership Summit.

It kicks off today and goes through the weekend. And we're expecting thousands of fellow patriots there at the Knoxville Convention Center. I'll be speaking tomorrow. We'll be doing a book signing tomorrow afternoon. And our next guest is going to be one of the speakers as well.

You see him every afternoon on Newsmax TV, our good buddy Chris Salcedo. Chris, how's it going, my friend? It's going great. I just wish my book was coming out in time. For us to be there.

Mine doesn't come out until December. Very nice.

Well, we'll have you back on to talk about that. Are you already in Knoxville or are you flying in later? I will be flying in later. My uh my speech is also tomorrow.

So Yeah, I think I'm coming I think I speak before you, which I'm very good I'm glad because I hear you always deliver a barn burner.

Well, I don't know about that, but I can think of nobody I'd rather have come before me, with the exception of maybe President Trump, to warm up the crowd so and to get them all fired up. That's you, buddy. Years ago, I had to. I have two funny stories about having to be the warm-up act. One was for Vice President Mike Pence at an event in Washington, which was a little weird.

But the crazier one was I was the guy who had to follow Tim Tebow. And you have never been humbled until you see a mass exodus of people from the arena after Tebow finishes speaking. Wow. You know what? And I would say.

Knowing what we know now. that your speech was probably more engaging Than the former vice president. 10,000%. 10,000%. It was, it was just like, wow, that's a low energy there.

If you thought low energy Jeb was bad. Mercy.

So, look, what are you going to be talking about tomorrow? And how did you get involved with the Gun Owners of America?

Well, the the funny story is is you know about the controversy that happened with the National Rifle Association. I I joined the NRA live on television with our friend Grant Ninschfield. And uh because They had launched NRA TV and things seemed to be going swimmingly.

Well, we didn't know. was all of the malfeasance going on in the background. And it came to fruition and was exposed. I was like, well, that doesn't sound right.

So they went through. everything that they had to go through, but I stuck with them still. what the the the straw that broke this camel's back. Was the endorsement of a guy by the name of Dave Phelan in Texas? Dave Phelan is the former Speaker of the Texas House, and he's a leftist.

But he's a Republican in name only. The secret in Texas Is that Republicans? do deals with Democrats So as to fake Republicans, do deals with Democrats.

So, as to keep the Democrats in positions of power and authority they didn't earn at the ballot box. And that has been the case since 2009. was something we call the Joe Strauss Gang of Eleven coup.

So This Knowing that Dade Phelan had undercut conservatives, had undercut. The legislative session, this was back in 2020. Yeah. Uh And we were fighting him every step of the way. The NRA comes out and endorses the guy.

To which Yeah. I had to call him up. I said, Are you kidding? This guy enables. These leftists who are stealing our Second Amendment rights.

He enables them at every turn. And you just endorsed him?

Well, you know, and they gave me a whole run around about.

Well, if you look at his legislative record, I mean, technically, he's not. Really, uh he he's really uh pro gun. Thank you. Technically, really.

So That was enough for me, and ironically enough, I'd already been asked. To speak at the Gun Owners of America, their first. Um conference. Their first gathering. And I said, Man, this is going to be the subject of my speech.

And I have been a GOA guy ever since because these guys. Are not blinded to the political reality of what we face out there. You know, I was an NRA member as well. And at the time, according to my mailman, I was the only member in my neighborhood in Brooklyn. And he said that only because you get about a pound of mail a month.

From NRA. And I always thought to myself, you know, if they would just stop sending out all this mail, they wouldn't have to be asking for so much additional money, Chris Elsado.

Well, yeah, and now we know why they were using the money for other things other than the mission.

So. That was a problem for us.

So, this is going to be a lot of fun. And by the way, I want to give a shout-out to all of our Patriot Talk 920 listeners in Houston. We understand, I think, the entire radio station made the trip over, and they're already in Houston.

So, Matt Velasquez and Michael Wilson, the big crew there. And so, look forward to running into them as soon as I get to Knoxville. And all of our great Houston listeners, because I understand a lot of you guys made the trip over as well. Always nice when we have Texans coming into Tennessee, Chris. It would not it would not be a gun rights Gathering if some Texans didn't have a sizable presence, I better be honest.

It's true. It's true. I get this. I was going through the lineup. I'm like, okay, the exhibit hall looks pretty awesome.

Over 200 exhibitors.

So there's going to be all sorts of stuff from firearms to accessories, the whole nine yards. It's going to be really a fun, family-friendly event, I do believe. Oh, I think so too. And you know deep and I'm glad you said it because I think it's the responsibility of of moms and dads who are gun enthusiasts, who believe in the right of self defense, to demystify. and tell the truth about what firearms are.

and combat You know, the gov ed schools and their propaganda on what firearms are, and of course, the biased press. and their misrepresentation of what firearms mean to the average American. That's going to be one of my themes in my speech that we're going to be hitting on quite forcefully.

So yeah. Chris Salcedo on the Patriot mobile newsmaker line today. You know, Chris, it's interesting. I was we've been following all of the redistricting controversy out of Texas. We had a lawmaker on the Newsmax show last night, and I'm just somewhat dumbfounded by this, but they're all starting to downplay this idea: oh, well, we're really not going to arrest these lawmakers.

And, you know, I'm just, I'm going to be genuinely surprised if anything actually comes out of this. There won't, and I can tell you why. Do you know how many times the Democrats, Todd, have abandoned Texas and abandoned their voters in the last 25 years? This is their third. Quorum break.

And why do they keep doing it? Because they suffer no consequences. This is that dynamic I just told you about. is the current Speaker of the Texas House. Do you know how he was elected speaker?

He was elected Speaker with forty nine Democrat votes and thirty six, thirty five fake Republican votes. That's how he captured power.

So you tell me. who he's loyal to.

Now there's a problem the date uh date. Dusty Burroughs has on his hands right now. because he and his fake Republicans managed to secure Endorsements. from President Trump. And how did they do that?

They delivered on parental school choice and education freedom. They did they did it begrudgingly and kicking and screaming, but Trump said If you come through for Governor Greg Abbott and you give him parental school choice and education freedom, you'll have my endorsement. And they did. But then Trump said, Oh, by the way. Going to need you to redraw the maps too, redistrict.

to make Texas districts reflect the reality of the vote.

So that's the tightrope right now that Dusty the Democrat Burroughs is walking. If he goes and arrests these Democrats, What happens to his power base? Bye-bye. But if he thwarts President Trump and doesn't deliver on the redistricting maps, guess what happens to his endorsement and the endorsement for his thirty five fake Republicans? That goes away too.

So that's, and he's hoping they're going to come back and say, what time is it? They're going to be back one o'clock Central Time. They're going to gavel in. I'm hearing they will have a quorum, and this is all going to go away, and the new maps will be approved. But again, it's exactly what you said, Todd.

There will be no consequences for Democrats in their showboating and shutting down Texas government. And the challenge there is that if the Democrats, if the roles have been reversed here, the Democrats they would have sent out the National Guard to go get them. They would have commandeered somebody to go and haul these people back. And, Chris, I just think one of the biggest problems with the Republican Party is they will not play hardball. And the Democrats know that, which is why they get away with it every single time.

I have a you know on my sh I have a preamble every day. And today, I am going, I'll give your audience a little preview. Today, I'm going to be unveiling. As you know, the Federalist papers that were written uh Hamilton, uh John Jay. Uh they they they were a a collection of eighty-five.

of these of of these Federalist papers really really w they were articles. They were published in in various publications. And I am going to offer the eighty sixth today. In addition to Hamilton's, Madison's and Jay's. Uh eighty-five And it's around this notion.

of the dangers of a unified political class. And that's coming up tonight on the Chris Time. Chris, what time is your show? Is that 5 o'clock Eastern? 4 o'clock Central Time.

4 o'clock Eastern, 3 o'clock Central Time. All right. You know, I'm in Central Time, and I never can get any of those times right. Yeah, you mean both. All right, my friend, good hearing you on the radio, and we'll see you tomorrow in Knoxville tonight on Newsmax.

Chris, thanks a lot. Safe travels. See you, Todd. All right. Good man right there, folks.

Chris Salcedo, one of many speakers at this weekend's Gun Owners of America conference there in Knoxville, Tennessee. All right, we've got to take a quick break. It is Open Line Friday, 901-260-5926 is our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Starn Show.

You know, I should have learned my lesson when we had the great mayonnaise wars of 2023 on this program when I shared that I've Was a Hellman's guy. I do like Duke, but it's just a smidge-tangy anyway.

I don't want to re-litigate that.

So now I understand we've had a caller, didn't want to go on the air. And they said, Todd, someone called to tell you that tomatoes are fruit and they're members of the berry family.

Okay. Um This is true. I created a huge scandal in the Christian community years ago when I pointed out something about a very, very famous, a very popular Christian. Christian cartoon series called Veggie Tales. Anyone remember Veggie Tales?

Oh, where is my hairbrush? Everybody has a water buffalo.

Well, great songs, by the way.

So, anyway, I pointed out. That one of the stars of Veggie Tales was a character named Bob the Tomato. And I suggested that That Bob should not be included in the program because in fact a Tomato is indeed a fruit.

So, why is it that they have a tomato in a show that's supposed to be about singing and dancing vegetables with no opposable thumbs? Why? Mm-hmm.

So then I got to thinking about this, and I did a little bit of research. And I had to step back for just a moment and accept the fact that it may very well be that Bob, the tomato, is trans.

So, Bob is a trans fruit that simply identifies as a vegetable.

So All that to say, thank you for sharing, and thank you for that intel. No, I'm not saying that I'm not saying that Bob is transgender. I'm saying he's trans fruit. Let's go to the phones. Shall we?

901-260-5926. Charles in North Carolina, WSIC, our great affiliate there. Hi, Charles. What's going on? Hey, happy Friday to you, Todd.

So, Todd, these Republicans in Texas, the Rhinos you're talking about, they hold all the power, but they remind me a bunch of a parent that just let their kids uh run uh rough shot over them, you know? That constantly threaten to discipline them, punish them if they do it, if you do this again, if you do this again, and then nothing happens. and then they wonder why their kids turn out to be little helliats. Oh, that's kinda the way I look at them. But Todd, as far as twenty twenty six goes in the midterms, I think that there's three things that the Republicans are going to have to do to make sure that they win.

Number one is this redistricting. Like Not only in Texas, but I'd like to see it. you know, Florida, maybe Alabama, Mississippi. other red states where we can You know, do away with as many Democrats as we can, just like they've done. with us in the Northeast and California and Illinois.

We need to do that. Under no circumstances. And I think President Trump is making this clear. regardless of any court ruling. Under no circumstances should illegal aliens be counted in the census.

for determining congressional representation. And three, I think that the Republicans need to run on a platform of the election interference and the severity of it in twenty sixt what they did in twenty sixteen. twenty twenty, twenty twenty four, kind of and kind of like what the Democrats did God, if you remember, in 1974, when Nixon was impeached, two years prior in nineteen seventy two, Nixon went to Landslide. And then two years later, Nixon's impeached in August. of 1974.

And three months later, the Democrats won a landslide election. because of all the corruption. That were tied around the Republicans' neck. And we have the opportunity to do that with Democrats. And I think that would be a winning issue.

But those three things I think are critical. to extending our lead in Congress. I I really believe that um That Ron DeSantis would do something like that. He would intentionally target Democrat districts in Florida. I'm fairly certain that's not going to happen in Tennessee.

We have one blue district here, and it's in the Memphis area, and Steve Cohen is a congressman. We had the Speaker of the House, the Tennessee House, on the K-Wham Morning Show in Memphis today. And that question was posed to him: What do you think about just going after and targeting and redistricting Steve Cohen? And the hemming and the hawing was of epic proportions, as opposed to somebody. And if I'd have been the Speaker of the House, I would have said, well, you know what?

That's a great idea. We may very well look at that, if nothing else, to excite the base and to get them pumped up. Yeah, could you imagine getting rid of that guy? I mean, that's the same guy that was eating what, the Kentucky fried chicken? The Kentucky fried chicken.

That's right. We call him KFC Cohen. That's what we call him. Yeah, but there's you know, if there's people like him and then there's other states where If you back out all of these illegals, Todd, that are being countered in the census right now, The Republicans can easily pick up twenty to thirty seats. And they should, you know.

I just think this is a hill to die on, and we don't need to let it go. You know, we need to stand firm. I'm with you, Charles. I think it's a great call. Got to leave it there, my friend.

Good hearing from you, and have a great weekend. 901-260-5926. Our number, that's 901-260-5926. By the way, I would love for you guys to go check out my all-new Substack. It's for America First Conservatives, ToddSterns.substack.com.

Touch. Ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen of the Todd Stearns Radio Show listening audience. I bring you this breaking news from Arizona, Phoenix, Arizona. And by the way, welcome to the Friday edition of the Todd Sterners Radio Program, but the breaking news of the hour coming from the WNBA, I read the quotes from the horrified victims here in Phoenix. It is simply shocking in my estimation.

As a journalist, I have never, never been so moved, ladies and gentlemen. One person recounting: I was just sitting in my seat minding my own business, and something hit me on my head. Dear Lord, I looked down to the floor, and there it was. I saw a bright fluorescent object. This was all in the incident report that has been filed with Phoenix Police.

Another eyewitness said I saw staff kind of rush to the object and grab it out of the corner of my eye, said another. I saw a bright green object kind of fly right from the tunnel into the into our section of the arena. We're still trying to get a tally on how many people might have been injured or impacted by this object now being described, ladies and gentlemen, as best I can on a family friendly radio program as a phallic projectile, neon in color. And now we can tell you that the neon dong dinged several people. It's a great tragedy.

Mm-hmm.

Police are now arresting an 18-year-old man. Why did I, why am I surprised? An 18-year-old.

Now, this thing has taken on a life of its own. Not the object, but the incident being reported at WNBA arenas all over the country where fans are throwing these appendages into the court. And it's driving the girls bonkers. They are losing their minds.

So. And I I get it. I mean, you know, you want to get out there and you want to play ball. And here's the thing: the problem is. It stops the game.

Which means you're even suffering for a longer amount of time waiting for the W NBA game to expire. All right?

So that's. That's the very latest from the WNBA, where now two people have been arrested. And you might be wanting to know what are the charges. They're being charged with disorderly conduct.

So that is the charges that are being lobbied against the two. the two suspects.

Meanwhile, at the FedEx St. Chu Championship, there are no neon appendages, just lots of white balls. That's all you're going to find there, ladies and gentlemen. I want to go live to our location there right off the 18th Fairway, our good friend. The sports director at KWAM Radio in Memphis, Parker May.

And I understand if Harold hasn't already run out of the building, Harold Grader. The Associate Executive Director at the AutoZone Liberty Ball. Hey, guys. Hey, Todd, thank you. And Harold, welcome in.

Thank you very much, Todd. Good afternoon. Hello, from. World famous TPC Southwind and a FedEx St. Jude Golf Classic.

And you're right. The only thing, just to clarify for your audience, Todd. Dango, I'm in the football business, but I am a former television sportscaster, so I could clarify this for your vast audience. It is white golf balls that are flying through the air here. You know what?

My apologies. I left out a very important word in that sentence. Yes, golf balls. But the reason why it was important, because you know, you've been to these golf courses where they have the neon, the neon golf balls. Yes.

So it could be possible, but you know, you never know, Harold Rader. By the way, and I know, Parker, feel free to jump in here, but I've got to, Harold, I've got to let you give a shout out to Vern Lundquist because you guys are doing something pretty cool. And it's all part of the AutoZone Liberty Bowl. Indeed, and I appreciate you asking that question and bringing it up, Todd. One of our longtime traditions, and this is our 67th year at the AutoZone Liberty Bowl, and one of our longtime traditions is to present our annual Distinguished Citizen Award.

This goes back. 50-plus years. Early on, Danny Thomas, founder of St. Jude, was one of the recipients, Elvis, and just a list of luminaries throughout the years. And this year, we're so proud to be able to honor one of the all-time legends of television sportscasting and one of my personal heroes in the broadcasting business, Vern Lundquist.

former when I was a young kid voice of the Dallas Cowboys, my my cherished NFL team. We we know Vern from his days at CBS doing the Masters. He did the Olympics. The SEC, he was the voice of SEC on CBS. These, what, last 20 plus years?

And so. Vernon is going to be in town on Sunday, August 24th to receive our Distinguished Citizen Award. Again, that's part of our weekend events for St. Jude. We had the dinner on Sunday night, golf on Monday, August 25th, and we'll spend some time showing some clips of.

His biggest moments and let Vern tell some stories. And I got to tell you, I did not know Vern until we started this process a few months ago. And just having a chance to visit with him by phone and looking forward to meeting him in person. Just a delightful gentleman. And, you know, and here he's 80-plus years old, but he's as relevant as anybody.

The new Happy Gilmore 2 movie is out, and Vern has a starring role in that. He was in the original Happy Gilmore.

So, again, he's done it all. He has had some of the greatest calls in the history of sport. A lot of those at the Masters on the SEC football side, as a dad of an Alabama graduate, this is hard for me to say, but it was one of the great calls. A few years ago, Alabama Auburn, the kick-six call. You know, the kid runs it back and Auburn beats out.

One of my favorite moments. Byrne was on the call of that. And again, looking forward to showing those just legendary clips and having Vern tell stories and take questions for the audience. It's going to be a special night for a special gentleman. And again, at the end of the day for us at the AutoZone Liberty Bowl, it's all about sharing the message of St.

Jude, raising some dollars for St. Jude, and just bringing folks together and having a good time. You know, as we said yesterday, Todd, you know, one of the things that. Danny Thomas, the founder of St. Jude, hung his hat on about bringing people together, and that was the world of entertainment and the world of sports.

And we're going to do that and have a big party and honor the legendary Vern Lundquist. And where can people go, Harold, if they want to get tickets to this incredible dinner? It's going to be a great, great night.

Well, thank you. The golf tournament on Monday the 25th, and we will play that here at Southwind as well. But the dinner, there are still seats available. It's all a donation to St. Jude.

You could go online to our website, autozonelibertybowl.org, O-R-G, or you can call us at the world headquarters of the AutoZone Liberty Bowl. That's area code 901-795-7700. And Todd, I got to tell you, you know, Vern is still out there. He's in high demand for interview requests, appearances. But still, he's 80-plus years old.

He and his wife share time from their home in Colorado and also in Austin, Texas. But we all know that these opportunities to be in the presence of a legend like that and being a former broadcaster myself to be able to. Your big Spend some time, hear the stories. Those opportunities are going to be few and far between.

So if you can get to Memphis on August 24th, that's a Sunday night. We'll have a big dinner, the program with Vern, a live auction, silent auction, raising money for St. Jude. If you can get to Memphis, we invite you to do so and join us for what is going to be a very, very special night. You mentioned it right there perfectly.

He truly is a legend in this industry, and that's when I kind of grew up watching him every Saturday afternoon on the SEC on CBS. A perfect legend. You mentioned the kick six skull, one of my favorites as well. I want to ask you now, you mentioned it 67th year of the Liberty Bowl coming up. Do you have a favorite memory or a special game that has stood out the most to you over your time?

Well, my first game.

Well, I'll go way back. This is back to my childhood. The first Liberty Bowl game my dad took me to, and I don't recall the year, but it was... USC played Texas AM. That was my first Liberty Bowl game.

back in the day Uh but as a uh as a Budding journalist. I was still in school at the University of Memphis. I was doing a radio internship covering Coach Bryant's last game in 1982. And then, as a TV guy, no games particularly jump out. I had my 15 years at the NBC station here in Memphis, but as a bowl executive, Two games really jump out.

Maybe three. One was what used to be our highest scoring game, 44-40, two top 10 teams, Louisville. And Boise State. Went down to the last play of the game. Uh A few years ago we had Sylvester Kroom.

When he was at Mississippi State, And that was not just a football moment, but a social moment. Coach Croom, legendary player at Alabama, played under Coach Bryant, coached under Coach Bryant at Alabama. He was the head coach at Mississippi State, the first African-American head coach in the history of the Southeastern Conference. And to have him. Coach in our game, that meant a lot to us.

And then just a few years ago, we had a triple overtime game, Arkansas, and now I'm drawing a blank on who they played. I believe it was Kansas. Kansas. Thank you for thank you. Thank you for having that memory.

And that game went to triple overtime. That game is now our highest scoring game.

So a lot of excitement.

So, you know, over 67 years, you're going to have a lot of great moments, and that's one of the things we hang our hat on. Great coaches, great players, great moments, great games. And we hope the 67th edition coming up on January 2nd will add to our history and legacy. A lot of great moments over the years at the Liberty Bowl. What's been the key to y'all since.

It's consistency running such a great operation. You know, it's not about us who draw a paycheck every two weeks as staff members, just like this event here at the golf tournament. It's all about the volunteers. You know, with all the events and everything we do throughout the year. Uh y you couldn't do it.

uh to the level that we do it uh without great volunteers. That's number one. Great. Corporate and community support from AutoZone, our title sponsor, a great Memphis-based company, FedEx, one of our presenting sponsors. All of that coming together to support us at the bowl game, promote the game of college football that we're all so passionate about.

And again, at the end of the day, for us at the AutoZone Liberty Bowl, why do we get up every day with the passion and excitement we have for our jobs. It's number one. The game of college football. We all love the game, passionate about the game. We have the.

The platform to promote our city in a positive way. And again, just bring people together. Going back to Danny Thomas, I hate to be redundant, but bringing people together for entertainment and sports. And again, the entertainment piece for us every year is at our Gala event the night before the game. And then our halftime show, we bring in a national act.

To perform at those two occasions. And then just bringing that all together again. For to showcase our city and to share the message of St. Jude. Absolutely.

I know we are super late for a break here.

So, Todd, back to you. All right, Harold, a good hearing for you, my friend. And Parker, always thank you as well. We'll check back in with you guys a little bit later on. And again, this is just a fun, exciting week for us here in Memphis as we celebrate St.

Jude Children's Research Hospital. And love for you to go and see the great Vern Lundquist. Football is just not the same. It's just not the same without Vern, right? The Masters, it's just not the same.

All right, our telephone number, 901-260-5926. We want to throw out a little trivia question here. It's also Elvis Week here. I'm telling you, we just got a lot going on here, people.

Oh my goodness. Chuck, I am horrified because you're from Memphis, Chuck. Oh, my word. Oh my. All right.

Chuck, good luck. Hold your head in shame, sir. Thanks for calling. It's no, it's not peanut butter and jelly. Let's go to.

I'm sorry, I'm cracked up. That's great. Let's go to Evelyn in Jefferson, Georgia. Hi, Evelyn. What is the answer?

Hi there. I have Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, uh Evelyn.

Okay. All right, good try, folks. We're looking for an exact sandwich. Evelyn was sort of in the ballpark there. Let's go to Carolyn in Hendersonville, North Carolina.

Hi, Carolyn. What's the answer? What are you? I thought it was peanut butter and jelly, too. Oh, no.

Carolyn. Good guess, good try. But that is. That's not right. I thought this was going to be an easier question.

I may have gotten that one wrong. My apologies, ladies and gentlemen.

So again, we need to know the name of Elvis's Favorite kind of sandwich? And somebody came pretty close with their answers, but they were missing a significant word.

So let's go to Tim in Flowery Branch, Georgia. Great little place. Hi, Tim. How's it going today? Hey, Ton.

How are you doing, buddy? Tim, I'm confounded. I thought everybody knew the answer to this.

Well, it's peanut butter and banana. Tim. It is Close, but no, I'm afraid that is incorrect. There is a keyword missing, Tim, a keyword. This is a record.

I don't think we've ever had this many people get Get it wrong. Yeah. All right, one more time, and I'll give you another clue. Elvis used to go to the Arcade, which is a famous restaurant in d it's basically a diner in downtown Memphis. He used to be a regular there, and he used to order this particular sandwich.

Let's go to Asheville, North Carolina, Chris. All right, Chris. You got a lot writing on this, so what's the answer? Peanut butter and banana, sometimes mashed, sometimes. And sometimes bacon.

And you would almost be correct, Chris, but we're missing a key word in that description, which makes me very hungry. But let's go to Regina in Alto, Georgia. Regina. You gotta help me out here. What's the answer?

What kind of a sandwich did Elvis enjoy?

Well, I thought it was a tomato and mayonnaise sandwich. Regina, I'm just quitting the show. I've given up hope in humanity. Yeah. All right, Regina, thank you.

Let's go to Lee in Bartlett, Tennessee, listening to us on K-Wham. Lee, what's the answer? peanut butter, banana, and bacon sandwich. Lee, that is incorrect. Lee.

I'm going to have to drink some Dr. Pepper after this. Folks, we've got to take a quick break. We're missing a key word. You've got the peanut butter right.

You've got the banana right, but we're missing a key word. We've got to take a quick break here: 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show. All right, we have reached history here on the Todd Stern show with our trivia question. I know more people have gotten this wrong than all of the trivia questions combined. The question is: well, you know what? Let's go to the phones. We're going back to Memphis, Tennessee.

Mitchell listening to us on KWAM First. Mitchell, how are you on this great Friday? I'm doing, Todd. I'm doing great, Todd. How are you doing?

Mitchell, I'm doing well. Were you, sir before you give us the answer, were you, sir, surprised that so many Americans did not know the answer to this question? I was so surprised that I didn't take the time to even call in because I figured the first postman officer was going to get it. Then it went to the second, then it went to the third. I'm like, Lord, America, this is getting ridiculous.

So, and we have seven other people on the hold that all have the wrong answers.

So, Mitchell, I'm going to ask the question. We're going to set this up again. It's Elvis Week here in Memphis, and we want to know what was Elvis Presley's favorite sandwich? It's a fried peanut butter and banana sandwich. Hallelujah, glory.

Yeah. Yeah, it is. Thank you. You have represented the city well, Mitchell. You have saved our honor.

Yeah, we don't have much, so at least I got some, so we don't have much. No, we know how to smoke good barbecue bologna here, and we can. We could smoke a pork butt. And we can, yeah, yeah, we're good people. Uh, have you ever had one of those things, by the way, a fried peanut butter banana sandwich?

I have. They're delicious. I have had one. Let me tell you something. They got one.

Go ahead. Go ahead, Mitchell. I was going to say they got one second December, too, and then. Oh, see, I forgot the name of the hamburger place that's been for like 100 years down on Bill Street. Oh, Dyers.

Diarrhea, they could they fix one. Almost similar to it. Is that right? Well, I'm going to have to get in there. I had one Elvis' chef made me one for a story I was doing years ago on Fox News, and it was amazing.

I was watching them prepare it, Mitchell, and my arteries were clogging as. They fried it. Hey, Mitchell, hang tight. You have just won yourself a copy of my newest book. It's called Star Spangled Blessings.

And we're going to put you on hold. Let me ask you one thing before you let me go. Yes, I listen to you every day. By the way, I listen to you every day. Uh but I don't know what happened, but I just want to check on Earl Farrell.

I missed listen to Earl Farrell. I used to love his show every day. I loved it when he was on 990 before y'all bought him. You know, he was on there then.

So let me tell you where Earl is. Yeah, so Earl is doing a show, a podcast, a video podcast. And he actually broadcast from the Lansky store in the historic Peabody Hotel.

So it's really a great show. And I think it's on his YouTube channel and his Facebook page.

So you ought to go check. I think he does it like Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

So be sure to check that out. Hang tight, Mitchell. We're going to get all your info. And we certainly appreciate you listening to the show. All right.

901-260-5926, our telephone number. Our good buddy Mark from The Villages, America's friendliest hometown. Hey, Mark, how are you today? Thank God. How are you?

I just wanted to pass something along to you. You know, I always tell people to try to be proactive when they you know, so that they can prevent any kind of cancer issues.

So I told you my mother passed away, so this was a couple of weeks ago, but we find out my brother is diagnosed with cancer. He's seventy four years old, never had a colonoscopy and never had an endoscope. finds out that he's five years along with the cancer. In his lungs, lip nose. in his chest.

So they he's one of those people, he says, I'm gonna fight it. He's at one of the he's at the fifth top research center in the world. Eddie of Hope. in California. He's got a team of fifty people that work are working for him right now to try to see if they can keep him alive.

Wow. Take a guess how much the drug that he needs administered every six weeks. are going to cost him for one year. I can't even begin to imagine what's the number looking like $128,000 Every Six. week for one year.

It's insanity, Mark. Insanity. And I said, don't control our world, Ron. Welcome to our world because me and you, we'd be done. His whole life staging.

It's possible who knows, could end up going out the window. Mm. It's going to be way over a million dollars.

So I'm going to keep you abreast of all this. But he is driving his car, getting around and like I said, He's got a team of people working around him, and he's in one of the best universities for this research. I mean, it's just. I mean, it's just unbelievable. And they just put a port in him to get the medicine into him.

But I I'm just You know, I was reading on Fox today. They said that There is a Cancer diagnosis soars among young adults 45. The forty-nine. And Uh we wouldn't, you know, I've known a couple of people that passed yes or last week of cancer. You just, unless you're in the right place at the right time, he's got the best people in the world.

And it's going to be interesting to see. how this is gonna this is gonna pan out. And um I'll let I'll keep you abreast of it. But it's just. Go ahead.

Yeah, Mark, yeah, we will. I definitely want you to keep us updated on that. And this is something that every single person. Person who has a family member that is sick, or maybe you have to take medication for whatever reason. Everybody is dealing with this, and the administration's got to get a handle on this price gouging.

It's absolutely unacceptable that you can go to any other country in the world and get medical treatment, get medications at a fraction of the price. When Colombia And they said they can't get it there either.

So, and you know, I also want to thank Becky for praying for him and me. I appreciate that. I want you to thank her for that. That meant a lot. Mark, I can promise you this.

I know a lot of folks in our audience across the nation will do just that. They're going to pray for you and your brother. And you keep us updated on how things are progressing. You got to do that for me. Yeah, I will.

And like I said, we've reached out to other countries and they can't get it either.

So it's just been, we just hope and pray to get through this. Yeah. I'll keep you abreast of it. All right, Mark, appreciate you calling in. That's our good friend, Mark, from the villages.

901-260-5926 is our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926. Let's go out to California on the Patriot mobile newsmaker line. Our good friend, national radio host, Joe Messina. Joe, hope you're doing well today.

I am Todd. Thanks for asking. I live in California. What could go wrong? Funny you should ask.

You know, I find your governor fascinating. We were having a conversation about him on Newsmax last night. And he's trying to figure out who he is and who he is trying to appeal to within the base of the Democrat Party. And I don't think it's working for the guy. No, I don't either.

See, they are very, the Democrats in California are very radical, and the more he moves. appears to move to the middle. Uh the worse it becomes for him. I I don't know if I've used fascinating, but I know the real word ridiculous off the air. But he has really got some real issues here in California right now because He's fighting that uh the the even the Democrats are pushing back.

Him on that bill. I think it's AB. 489 there. I don't know the exact number, but it's where. Uh somebody, and I mean anybody.

Todd, not not embellishing character, go in. and pick up your child from school. And all they have to do is fill out an affidavit that is not checked All right, it's not corroborated. They got a driver's license, you fill out the affidavit. You're picking up the child for, I don't know, medical purposes, family purposes, whatever, and you walk out the door with the kid.

And that is coming down from the legislature, and he doesn't seem to be opposed to it at all. It's I it Yes, our good friend Jack Hibbs down in Southern California preached about this and warned Christians, if this thing passes, you better pack up and get the heck out of California. He's right. He's dead. You know what?

He's dead right. A very good friend of mine, Senator Scott Wilk, two years ago. He was the one, I don't know if you ever saw it, but they they were passing a slew of these bills And he interrupted and said, Look. If I had kids in California today, I'd be selling a house, packing up, and getting the heck out of here. And they took a whole bunch of appointments away from him on committees.

for making that statement. But he called it two years ago and And it's constantly getting worse. They're taking more, you know. I'm on a school board here in California, and they're taking more and more rights away from. the school board members, people that were chosen by the community to, if you would, legislate in that area.

They're now dictating, the state is dictating as to what books we can pull off the shelves and which ones we can't. Joe, do we have any idea what's really going on here? I mean, it. There's been a lot of stories in the news leading up to all of this where teachers were telling their students, oh, you know, if your parent doesn't affirm your lifestyle, we will affirm it for you. Are we looking at a situation where teachers could step in and become the guardians of these kids?

Yes.

Yeah, I mean that's a real simple answer, yes, because A lot of them follow that Democrat ideology. A lot of them fo follow that Far left progressive ideology. And, you know, God bless some of the teachers in my area. They have stepped up, they know who I am and what I stand for. And they tell me about these things that are happening in the schools.

Now, according to California law, it is illegal for a teacher or for an administrator. to encourage one to make that transition.

However, I'm not encouraging, I'm supporting. They asked me questions. I told them where they could get information. And the high school teacher there was a survey done about five or six years ago here in California, the most trusted person in the community. is a high school teacher.

What's it? I mean, God bless, we've got a lot of good teachers, don't get me wrong, I don't wanna paint with a broad brush. But we also have a lot of terrible high school teachers that want to push their ideology onto the kids that love them, care about them and trust them. Joe, there's an interesting story on NPR, and now that they don't get any tax money, they're no longer national public welfare radio. They are NPR, national, I guess, private radio.

But there's the story, they interviewed all these teachers. It's a big, in-depth piece written by one, two, three, four. Four people, including a hyphenated person. And the whole point of this was that teachers now feel watched under Trump's anti-DEI push. To that, I say, good, they ought to feel watched.

What do you Yeah. Unreal. What are you afraid of? I've always said that if you're doing the right thing, okay, it's one thing to make a mistake, it's another thing. When we see you do the same thing as a teacher or administrator, Day after day after day, where you're promoting a certain lifestyle or you know, uh transgenderism, if you would, any of that stuff.

And frankly, it's very active in the schools here. It's really sad. the the push against parents. You know, I I went to a parental rights meeting put on by my district. And for three hours I heard what I knew were some very far left teachers and students Talk about how bad parents are, how parents can't be trusted.

How parents will beat their children for being, especially Christian parents, will beat their children for being gay, lesbian, or transgender. And this was a public meeting time. Um And and it it was amazing to me. How they got away with that, how they've gotten away with over the years, making us, the parents and the grandparents, frankly, the enemy of the children. It's insane.

You know, your kid comes home from school, they can't parse a participle, and now they don't know their pronouns. I mean, where does it stop from crying out loud? Look, I know you're from Massachusetts. Are you from the Boston area? I am from, I am from two and a half blocks from the Old Ark Church.

Oh, all right.

So that it doesn't get much more Boston than that. I saw this story. I saw this story from the Boston Herald, and it's a huge story in Boston involving a longtime reporter and news anchor. Her name is Kate Merrill. She worked for WBZ, which is the big TV station there.

And she's suing the TV station, which is owned. It's a CBS 0-0.

So this is going to get really interesting, but you're going to love this. She's white. They hired a black weather guy from Mississippi, of all places. And the guy from Mississippi, and I only know this because I've been in the business a long time. You never want to get the name of a town wrong, right?

Or state. Right. When I was anchoring in Sacramento, I said Nevada, and every phone lit up. It's Nevada. It's Nevada.

What's wrong with you, you illiterate moron?

So, all that to say, the guy was saying things like in Concord, when in fact it was. Yeah. What's the Concord? Yeah. So, anyway, the black weather guy asked the white anchor, Would you just let me know if I inadvertently mispronounce a name?

And so she said, Sure, happy to do it. And she did. And after two or three times, he filed a complaint against her, and she got demoted and accused of causing racially insensitive microaggressions. You know, how about putting him on the hot seat and saying, look, Did you think you might want to do some homework here? Because a lot of a lot of people coming from Boston, I can tell you, that is a big sore spot when people Don't know how to pronounce the city's names.

And I think if you, some of you listening, if you really want to have some fun. You can find on YouTube. where people make fun of other people who can't pronounce the names of the cities in Boston. And yeah, it it is a big deal to them. And he should have done his homework if he wanted the job.

And as far as the bosses go, Uh did you really expect anything less? She's suing them. The headlines are: she's suing them because she's white. They had a problem with her being white. And I'm saying, good for you.

I hope she gets every penny she's asking for. Yeah, no, I agree. I totally agree with you. Again, Nothing wrong when the guy says that, but even so. I she was probably afraid to pull him aside and say, Hey, let's work on some of these cities.

Let's work on some of the names of some of these cities for you. I'll say this: years ago, when I first bought the station, we had an employee, and the employee came and said, You know, I never got any positive or constructive criticism or feedback, and I'm really craving that. One of the lessons I learned from that whole thing is when somebody says that, they're really not. They really don't want any feedback at all. They're looking for a payout.

Yeah, there you go. Your You should have thought that they were a millennial gun. Oh my God, I can't believe we have you here. You're so wonderful. I'm so glad you're burning up.

That's being played. And we'll check in with Parker May, the sports director at KWAM, the radio station I own in Memphis. Dylan Dandridge is also hanging out there.

We also had a call from a guy from Oregon, one of our KYKN listeners, and he was throwing a little bit of shade to all the rest of you Memphis folks who did not know the answer to the trivia question. The guy said, Even a guy from Oregon knows that Elvis liked fried peanut butter and bananas. Yeah.

Be nice. Be nice, everybody. We're all on the same team here. All right. I want to go right away to our studio at the FedEx St.

Jude Championship, and we're excited to welcome in Luke Symbol, one of our great Republican strategists. And Luke, I understand you're wandering around. Hopefully, having a good time at the St. Jude golf tournament there. I am having a great time, Todd, and it's great to see the Todd Starring's producers here at the golf tournament.

Lots of folks coming up to the table to say hello. And there's a lot of freedom-loving Americans here in the Memphis, Tennessee area enjoying some golf.

So it's a fun time for sure.

So you're an attorney in real life.

So is that what you guys do? I mean, everybody's taking the day and heading to the golf course. Look, sometimes you got to take a day to recoup, have some fun. You know, I'm sweating half my body weight off in the sunshine, but it's going to be all right. But yeah, you know, we all need a day to relax every now and then, have a couple of Mickeys by the golf course.

So I'm not going to name names at all, but I will say this, when we got there at about 8:30, 9 o'clock yesterday morning, the bars, the outdoor bars were filled to overflowing. Look, look, there's nothing more American than enjoying golf in the hot sunshine, drinking a nice beverage. And we're not going to say what kind of beverages, but it's a fun time. Like I said, I'm seeing a lot of American flags on hats here, a lot of young dudes enjoying the sunshine, hanging out together. It's a good crowd here in Memphis, Tennessee, and we're having a good time.

Luke, we've been following a lot of big stories. Of course, yesterday, President Trump coming out and announcing about the census redo. And there are estimations, and I've seen anything from 20 seats to 50 that could switch over to Republican hands if they exclude illegals. From the census. What say you?

Every day of this Trump 2.0 administration is like Christmas, Todd. I mean, they are rocking and rolling and taking a stand. Donald Trump has taught the Republican Party, which was really dead before he arrived on the scenes in 2015. I wasn't sure if we were going to win another national election, but he is teaching us Republicans how to fight all the way from the White House down to the local level. Republicans are energized and ready to fight back.

Look, this redistricting, the redistricting, this is something Democrats have done so well for so long, is gerrymander these districts. You look at the Northeast, you look at California. These districts have been gerrymandered so that millions of Republicans who may vote in the state don't have any Republican congressmen heading to D.C. to represent them. And finally, Republicans are saying, you know what?

If you can do it, so can we. The Supreme Court has said over and over again that this is a political problem. Process. You know, the voters in each state get to determine whether or not it's something that upsets them, gerrymander districts. And if not, then their state legislators will lose their elections.

But finally, Republicans are fighting back. And I do want to say one thing, though. I saw on X this morning that Utah Congressman Blake Moore, who's a member of the House GOP leadership in the Main Street caucus, is slamming our attempts here to add more congressional seats for Republicans by saying it undermines established norms to allow this wildfire to spread mid-decade. He's just so upset. Look, these illegal aliens should have never been included in the census in the first place.

And It is a losing proposition for Republicans to back down now. The American people have never been more ready to get illegal aliens out of the country. They have never been more ready to get them off of our payrolls, to remove them from government programs like our SNAP benefits that are meant for America's poor, not the poor from other countries. And so I tell mushy moderates like Utah Congressman Blake Moore, sit this one out. If you don't agree with it, just shut your mouth.

Let the president lead. Let the strong Republicans lead, and we're going to fix this country, and we're going to add more Republicans to Congress. Democrats have been getting away with this for way too long, and we are finally fighting back, and it's going to energize our base, Todd. And maybe, just maybe, if the Republicans can show a little bit of a backbone here and actually stand up to the Democrats, the Democrats are going to start thinking twice about doing this kind of stuff down the road, Luke.

Well, that's exactly right. And don't talk to me about undermining established norms. The established norms meant that the Republican Party was losing. Before Donald Trump, the Republican Party was really dead. We were lost.

And finally, we have a president who's saying enough is enough. We are going to fight back. We are going to put American First, we are going to save this country. And look at how well the second term of Donald Trump is going. And Republicans across the country, from congressional races all the way down to dog catcher, need to be emulating what Donald Trump is doing, what Donald Trump is saying.

It is popular. Americans are finally feeling like we're getting our country back.

So Utah Congressman Blake Moore, sit this one out. Undermining established norms.

Well, then the Democrats have been doing it for decades, and finally, we're catching up.

So let's get it done, Republicans. I'm excited. I really am, Todd. Luke Simble joining us from our location at the Affedex St. Jude Championship over at TPC Southwind today.

Luke, another big story we've been following involves crime. I want you to listen to what Stephen Miller had to say about. Crime in Washington, D.C. Cut number four, please. The president has been Very clear that he's going to take the action necessary to secure the city of Washington for the people who live here, for all the American people and all who visit here.

It's our capital city. It is more violent than Baghdad. It is more violent than parts of Ethiopia, parts of many of the most dangerous places in the world. It's really shocking if you actually look at the graph that has been shown comparing parts of some of the most dangerous filled states in the world compared to D.C., D.C. is more violent, and so he's going to do what's necessary to make sure our nation's capital is safe for all Americans.

All right, there you go, Luke. D.C. more violent than Baghdad. They've only had 99 people killed. And in Memphis, what, 179, 180 people killed so far this year?

Terrible. It is really like we are in a war zone. And I am not saying that lightly at all. It is terrible. And, you know, I live in the city of Memphis, and I know there are other cities across the country.

Nashville is having a bad problem with this. Atlanta has had a bad problem with this.

Some cities, you know, cities across the country, particularly during COVID when they emptied the jails and shut down the schools, just saw crime skyrocket, Todd. And we have got to take our American cities back. And it is Republicans that are going to do so. We are the party truly of law and order. And something that I get so frustrated by.

Look, violent crime does need to come down across the country. It's unacceptable. But what about nonviolent crime? Folks are tired in American cities of going out to dinner, coming outside, and having their windows smashed in. They are tired of the bikes getting stolen out of the backyard.

They are tired of maybe getting home from work and seeing a window smashed in. Sure, those are so-called non-violent crimes. Crimes are violent, personally, but those are so-called non-violent crimes. And these routine criminals, especially juvenile criminals, that are in this revolving door at our jails where there is no accountability, it takes years to get any kind of sentence. They're let right back on the street with little to no bail.

It's unacceptable. And we have got to start talking about this. Look, these issues are things that affect everyday folks and their daily lives. And that's why we saw so many working-class Americans swing to the Republican Party this past election because we were talking about issues that affect them every day. We were talking about the price of eggs, the price of bread, the price of gas, their energy, safety, illegal immigration, and how that's impacting them and their emergency rooms and their government programs.

But what we need to do now, we need to continue to talk about these issues. Let's continue to talk about crime. We have got to restore law and order. I know this is something that Cash. Patel, the FBI is focused on the DOJ.

We have got to confirm these U.S. attorneys and these judicial candidates so that the DOJ can start processing in these Soros-backed DAs across the country. Let the DOJ take over. Let them start prosecuting federally so that we can get these folks locked up. It's unacceptable, locked up without parole.

These routine criminals, violent and non-violent, have got to know that this is unacceptable in our country. And if you want to do this, we'll buy you a plane ticket elsewhere. We will buy you a plane ticket across the ocean. We will send you to another country if you would like to behave like this. But in America and in American cities, it is unacceptable whether it's led by a mushy, moderate Democrat and these Soros-backed DAs or not.

We are fed up, we are done, and we're going to take our cities back. Good. I'm glad to hear that. Luke, real quick, before we let you go, I've been trying to pitch this idea to Republican leadership in. In Nashville, but you know, you've got one Democrat congressional district, which happens to be in the Memphis area, KFC Cohen.

And I think, again, if we're going to play hardball, let's see if we can't divvy up that district and maybe grab another Republican seat out of it. Look, our gross Steve Cohen, Congressman Cohen, Lily White Congressman Cohen, bringing a bucket of KFC to a committee hearing on the floor, on the House floor, completely unacceptable, and I even think pretty darn racist if you think about it. Talking about race issues with a bucket of KFC on the floor of the House. I think we need to redistrict him out at the very least, give some of the folks in Memphis some non-racist representation. What say you, Todd?

He's finger-licking nasty. That's what I say. Greasy. That's exactly right. Get that guy a wet white.

All right. All right, Luke Simbel. We're going to have to leave it there.

So, what's the deal here? What does Luke Symbol do at the golf tournament? What does that look like? That is a very sweaty Luke Symbol running around in 95-degree sunshine, trying to follow some of the golfers and maybe have a beverage or two. But it's a fun time catching up with some folks, locals, friends that you see from other walks of life.

And I'm telling you, Todd, I think there are a lot of Trump supporters here at the golf tournament this week, and I'm seeing an awful lot of American flags. You know what? I noticed that yesterday as well. I think you're right about that. All right, Luke, just make sure my guys are doing all right there.

Look, they're very popular here at the golf tournament. You should see all these folks walking up to the table.

Well, I'm glad to hear that. All right, Luke Symbol, thanks. Have a great weekend. Thanks, Todd. All right, there you go, folks.

We've got to take a quick break. When we come back, we'll open up the phone lines. And you heard Luke call out the Utah Congressman. who basically says, look, we ought to let the Democrats just do what they've always done, and we should not we should not intervene, we should not play their game. Are you buying into that, or do you think that we ought to fight back and we ought to play the same game that the Democrats are playing?

So, Congressman, Congressman Blake Moore calling the Texas redistricting plan a step too far. And he's denouncing what they're doing, the Republicans are trying to do by gerrymandering in Texas. Curious to hear your thoughts on that. 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show.

Yeah. All right, welcome back, everybody. Good to have you with us today. This is the Todd Starns Radio Show. It is open line Friday as well.

Also, this just coming in: President Trump getting another big win in the courts. Federal judges are siding with the Trump administration, and this is over the deportation of the Venezuelans.

So we now have a Court of Appeals ruling two to one in favor of. the Trump administration, they're ruling that Judge Bosberg cannot move forward with contempt proceedings against the Trump administration. I'm telling you, this legal warfare is insanity. Just outright insanity. We got to get a handle on it.

We got to get a handle on it. Just unbelievable. All right, coming up, we're going to be taking you back live to the FedEx St. Jude Championship, but we also have yet another trivia question. I'm feeling somewhat generous today.

The winner will receive a signed copy of my brand new book. It's called Star Spangled Blessings: Devotions for Patriots. And by the way, even if you don't win a copy of the book, I hope that you will go to Amazon and order a copy or two. They make incredibly wonderful gifts. We have heard from so many people that have gone in, they bought the book, they've read it, and they've gone right back and they bought like eight or nine or ten copies that they're going to be using as gifts for various holidays and things like that.

So it really does make a wonderful gift book.

So does our other devotion book called Our Daily Biscuit Devotions with a Drawl.

So both of them together make wonderful, wonderful gifts.

So here is the question. We talk about, we've been talking this week about the FedEx St. Jude Championship and it benefits. St. Jude Children's Hospital, which is Right here in Memphis, Tennessee, one of the crown jewels of our great city.

The question is: who founded? St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Who founded St. Jude Children's Research Hospital?

So if you know the answer, and I think this should be an easy one, but the last question I thought was pretty easy, and it turned out not to be.

So if you know the answer, give us a call, 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. Can you name the founder of the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital?

You know, President Trump has been taking action against the big banks in America. Banks have been debanking a lot of conservatives around the nation, including conservative businesses. And I'm just going to tell you flat out, that is one of the most horrible things to go through when you are debanked. It's just. It's just unacceptable, and that's one of the reasons why I want you to go and check out my friends at Old Glory Bank.

They have a special landing page just for listeners of the Todd Starns radio show, oldglorybank.com/slash Starnes. That's oldglorybank.com/slash Starnes. Old Glory Bank is America's FDI insured bank for freedom-loving Americans, and they're founded on traditional American values, family, faith, and community. Our good friend Dr. Ben Carson, Larry Elder, among the founders of Old Glory Bank.

And they're a bank you can actually trust to protect your privacy, your security, and your liberty. And it's founded by Patriots for Patriots, among the others that are involved in this effort, John Rich and former Oklahoma governor Mary Fallon Christensen.

So go check them out, oldglorybank.com slash starnes. I am a customer, and I hope that you will consider that as well. Hang. Tight, we're going to trivia right after this break. And welcome back, everybody.

Great to have you with us here on the Todd Sterns Radio Show. We have four lines, and we do have a trivia question on the table. Let's go to Jackson, Tennessee. And Debbie is on the line. Hi, Debbie, how are you today?

I'm fine. How are you? Debbie, I'm doing well. Thank you. It's a little hot and a little humid.

I you guys are north of Memphis, so it must be like, you know, eighty degrees cooler there. No, we're excellent. Yeah. Well, yeah, northeast, yes. Yeah, no, it's not very cool.

It's it's it's hot. I didn't think so. You know, it's hot when you and and someone is going to have to help me with this. And I just, Debbie, I'm about to violate my southern street cred because I should know the answer to this. But you know, in the like in the doldrums of summer, when you walk outside in the afternoon and that sun is beating down on you, and what is it that there's some sort of a critter in the trees that's doing that noise?

And I it's I don't know if it's a tree frog. I don't think it's a tree frog. But you know what I'm talking about, Debbie? I knew. Is it Katie Dean?

Is it a Katie did? Is that what they call them? That's what we call them, yeah. All right. Yeah, I had no idea, so I'd never heard of that before.

So, okay.

Well, anyway, it's that really loud.

Well, it's that hot here. Yeah, some years that that that they get extremely loud. We always call the dog days the summer. The dog days of summer. You know it's hot when remember the old hound dogs on the front porch?

Uh yes, sir. Yeah, you knew it was hot. Maha, you sure did.

Well, you'll have to come on to Jackson. We'll teach you some more southern things.

Well, I'm going to be driving through your town and in about an hour or so heading to Knoxville.

So I'll have to drop by. And we have a great affiliate there, WTJS, and just some of the greatest people in Jackson, Tennessee, Debbie. I agree. That's what I'm listening to you right now. All right, Debbie, we're going to try to win you a prize.

Now. We've got a lot on the table here, and Debbie, you know, it was somewhat of a disaster with the Elvis question.

So. No, I I didn't I didn't hear that. Oh, you didn't? All right, then good. Then good.

So just forget everything I just said. I don't want to make you nervous.

So we're celebrating St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and we're raising a boatload of money for them over at the FedEx Championship. Can you tell us the name of the person who founded St. Jude Children's Research Hospital?

I think I can. Is it Danny Thomas? Yes, it is. Thank you. Debbie, come on down!

Okay. You're the next winner here on the Tom Sterns Radio Show.

Well done, Debbie.

Well, thank you. You know, Debbie, the stories about lives and families that have been changed as a result of this incredible ministry, and that's what I consider St. Hugh Children's Research Hospital, it's really remarkable, isn't it? Yes, it is. It is an honor to have it in the state of Tennessee.

All right. I've never heard of any other hospital that does anything compared to what they do. You know, it's interesting. I was researching the founding of the hospital and how it all started because I'm thinking. How did Danny Thomas end up in Memphis, Tennessee?

He was not a southern guy. And it turned out, Debbie, that he had a very, very tough time starting out in the entertainment business. He didn't have enough money to provide for his family, and so he didn't have a steady job. And so he prayed one day to the patron saint of hopeless causes. And the patron saint of hopeless causes is Saint Jude Thaddeus.

And Danny Thomas prayed a very simple prayer: Show me my way in life, and I will build you a shrine. And it turned out that one of his mentors was a cardinal, Cardinal Samuel Stritch. And the cardinal was from Memphis, Tennessee, and he suggested that he build the shrine there in Memphis, and that shrine took on what became a General Children's Hospital. And that's how it all happened. That's that's the story I've always heard also.

And I and And we know how it went from there. You know, I don't think he had any problems. Providing for his family, you know, he sure didn't. And then just. Go ahead, Debbie.

I'm sorry. No, you no hear them. I was going to say, wasn't it isn't it amazing how many lives of children have been saved? And the idea that these moms and dads, and they are just met with such sweet hospitality and love, you know, they're th the only thing they have to worry about is being with their child. That's correct.

Yeah. spend a lot of time down there and that is Absolutely, 100% correct. They they go down there and they feed them, they give them a place to stay. And all they got to do is worry about their kids. That's it.

That's it. All right. Well, Debbie, congratulations. We're going to give you a signed copy of my new book. It's called Star Spangled Blessings, Devotions for Patriots.

We're going to put you on hold, and Miss Becky will get all your info. All right, congratulations. Wow. Let's go to Tracy. In Memphis.

Hi, Tracy. How are you today? I'm fine, but I'm kind of A bag. too as as you know as well because I just found out that somebody left Town and did not. Contact me.

Can you guess who Betty is? Tracy, I'm going to give you Ben Dieter's cell phone number as soon as. Thank you very much. Thank you very, very much. Tracy.

Well, well, I mean, that's not a hopefully hopefully he announced it. I'm not telling something I shouldn't be telling, but he everybody knew that he left town, right? He left Memphis, right?

Okay. He did.

So we had a big celebration. Really, it was a funeral. But Ben Dieter was hired. He was our executive producer. He hosted the morning show in Memphis.

And did a wonderful job and was hired as the press secretary for Congressman John Rose. But congrat to him. Go, Ben, go. No, Tracy, no. We wanted a mistee.

That's. I'm going to say that I'm not going to end that way. I'm giving, you know, I'm saying congratul I'm just congratulating them now, but I'm still mad. Good. You should be.

I am laughed. He s he was great. Yes, he and he is great. And I don't think we've seen the last of Ben Dieter. I'm fairly certain of that.

As a matter of fact, he is going to be back in Memphis.

So the congressman's coming to town on Tuesday, and they're letting Ben tag along.

So Mm. Cool beans. I'm going to look for him because I didn't, I missed one of the invites. I've been so busy, crazy busy, but I know do you know when he's coming back? I don't want to disclose anything, but no, it's Tuesday.

Yeah, I think it's general knowledge now. It's a Tuesday, and I believe he'll be even on the morning show on Tuesday on K Wave. And we're going to try to get him on the national show as well.

So but Tracy, I have to tell you, it's so funny you called because I was wondering about you know, I said, I haven't heard from Tracy from Lakeland in a long time.

Well, you know what? I will give you. I'll get you up to, I'll let you know what's been going on with me sooner or later. I'm going to need your services, okay? All right.

We'll see. We can, we're here to help. Yeah, yeah. And so I'm so glad that you mentioned the little things that the little furter things or the makes the little sound. I thought I I was ironically, I was just saying this last week And I was like, what are those What is what does that sound?

What and I thought they were crickets. And then You so happen to mention it and they're called Katie Bids. That's what the lady said, Katie did. I think I've heard of that before. I'm pleading ignorance here.

I just don't know.

Okay, what Okay, I'll Google. We're going to have to Google it yet. What it looks like. What does that look like? I'm afraid to ask.

Yeah. I don't know. Tracy, we You are welcome, and thank you for calling. Thank you for calling in. And it's good to hear your voice again.

And we'll pass along the info to Ben as well. And we love Ben Dieter and we love Grace Baker. And one of the challenges about hiring very young and very talented and gifted people is that they do go on to other things. And so we're always blessed when we have them for the time that we do. All right.

I want to go back over to our location at the FedEx St. Jude Championship.

And speaking of our great young talent, Dylan Dandridge and Parker May hanging out with us. And, guys, if you read your contracts, you're not allowed to ever leave. Ever. It's in the contract. Don't worry, I'll stay forever.

I must have missed that one. You can tell which one's a family member, which one's not.

Okay. Oh my goodness. So, guys, I understand that we've had a lot of Todd Stern show fans dropping by. Yeah, we've had a couple people show up, say hi, drop by. It's nice to see friendly faces.

Especially in a crowd full of people, you know, you never know who's here, so I'm glad they found us. You know, Parker, you're in college and you're a huge sports guy. You handled play-by-play force back when you were still in high school in the Memphis area, and now you're in college. I mean, what is this like for you? Because this is going to be your career one day, you know, doing this kind of sports coverage.

Yeah, it's been great. It's a great opportunity. Thankful for all the relationships I've met here and the great interviews I've had. These pro golfers have been great. And very gracious to all the media so far this week, and it's been a great opportunity getting to talk to as many of them as possible.

It sounds like the crowds are picking up. Is that the case? Are you guys seeing a lot of folks wander around? 100% that's the case. I've seen a huge jump just from yesterday to today.

I would almost say it's doubled the crowds this morning that we saw for the leader Tommy Fleetwood and Scotty Scheffler. were astonishing. Any surprises so far as far as performance out there on the course? There are a lot of big names at the top of the leaderboard, as it's in the top 70, so every name is a big name on that leaderboard. But Tommy Fleetwood has really impressed me so far.

13 under through his first two rounds. It's his lowest 36-hole score in his entire PGA tour career.

So, putting those two rounds together in the first round of the FedEx Cup playoffs has really impressed me. Guys, here's my challenge. I didn't realize I should have watched Happy Gilmore 2 before going into FedEx St. Jude Championship Week. It's a must.

It is a must. A lot of the golfers that are here this week were in that movie, so it's a really cool story. And I understand that the guys running Scotty's chicken shack are actually dressed as law enforcement. That's true. I can confirm that.

We've been two times over the past two days, Todd, so we actually revisited our sacred location over there at Scotty's. Your sacred location. Yeah, it's like, you know, you go to the bathroom, you go to Scotty's, then you come back to the desk. That's literally our three locations. You know, why am I not surprised?

There's also, we have some of the best. Let me say this, guys. Out of all the PGA tour stops, this is the one with the best food, hands down. I would completely agree. Plus, they have barbecue commissary rendezvous.

They have Smackers, which is like that burger place I think you mentioned yesterday. And then, of course, the chicken tenders from Scotty's. It's a lot of unique food here, and something for everybody.

So, I think that's what makes this tournament so unique. And here, you guys are only going for the chicken fingers. We had to go for the happy Gilmore to promote that move even more as it should be. And Scotty Scheffler's. Name is on it, so why not?

Todd, you shouldn't be surprised. With me, at least. No, I'm not surprised. I'm not surprised at all. Chicken fingers good, though.

How are the chicken tenders? They were fantastic. Parker can speak for his because he got the honey. Honey gold. Yeah, honey gold.

And so I just got the regular, so I'm just, you know, Joe Schmo over here. They were fantastic for one of us. All right. Guys, we're going to leave it there. We've got to head to a break.

Y'all have done a great job of coverage this week, and it's been a lot of fun. And, Parker, you know, I guess the best thing here is it's really ultimately for a good cause, isn't it? Absolutely. The amount of money that this tournament has raised for St. Jude over the years continues to grow, and I believe it will continue to grow past that number that was set last year for this weekend.

All right. Parker May and Dylan Dandridge. Parker, our sports director here at the Mighty 990 K-WAM, which is our flagship radio station. And Dylan runs the board for our national show. Guys, have fun and at least try some barbecue while you're out there.

I'll give it a shot. We'll do. Just try to thank you. All right. Thanks, guys.

By the way, getting this from Baptist Memorial Healthcare and Laboner Children's Hospital, every baby born in Memphis during the golf tournament is going to receive a lovely hush y'all onesie.

So that's kind of the running joke at the golf tournament: instead of saying silence or be quiet, they hold up the signs that say hush y'all. It's the South. What are you going to do? All right. Also, we're getting conflicting information now on the critters that we're hearing in the summertime.

Someone from Oklahoma just called in and said it's locust. Chuck from Memphis says it's Cicadas. And we had a a previous caller who said beyond the shadow of a doubt they're called Katie Dids.

So we'll figure it all out. Can we get somebody in the insect world? 901-260-5926. This is the Tot Start Show. All right, clearing things up here.

Or not, my intel, my sources are telling me that a lot of people, especially southerners, call them locust or Katie dids, but they're cicadas.

So, all right, there you go. We shall continue this conversation next week. Let's go to the phones real quick here. Kyle in Memphis, Tennessee, listening to us on KWham. Hi, Kyle.

What's on your mind today? Hey, Mr. Stock. Uh yeah, I know I'm at the end of the show here, so I won't make this long or anything, but no, I just wanted to uh I guess just kinda Um Yeah. You know, I feel like I'm preaching to the choir.

I'm sure you well know this, and most of most of the listeners here know this, but just in case anyone's forgotten. Uh the deportations everything. Um If you Google how many people did Obama deport in his time, you're going to get somewhere between two point five million to three point five million is what I'm looking at.

Well, it seems as if from what I can remember not that long ago. There was very little to no backlash. The media was not saying hardly anything negative about that stuff at all. You had no. Mass.

Uh kind of a teaming up per se of all these Democrat governors and mayors teaming together and saying, No, no, we're not doing this, we're not doing this. I don't understand.

So it's almost as if it's not really about deportations, it's just about Trump. If it were about deportations, Well then there would have been a negative blowback to Obama, but there wasn't.

So it it's it's just it's not I don't really think it's not really the deportations, it's just Trump. it's just it's just they're just going they're using that strategy. Suggest Belittle him, or however they want to get rid of him. The establishment just can't stand him, so they're just using this as an example or as a reason why. But You know what I'm saying?

He hasn't how many people has Trump deported since he's taken office? Maybe a a few hundred thousand, maybe. But Obama does about 3 million, and there was no, very little talk about it.

So I don't understand. Do you know something I don't? No, no, no. No, you're exactly right. As a matter of fact, and we may try to do this next week, if you go back in time and listen to some of the rhetoric coming from Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden back in the day, they had stronger deportation beliefs than many Republicans do today.

So you're right. It's all about politics, and it will always be about politics. But that's why shows like this one exist to call out the hypocrisy and just remind people that at the end of the day, it really is all about politics. Kyle, great call, and thank you for keeping it short because, folks, we have had a jam-packed day. It has been a lot of fun.

We will be seeing you on the road at the Gun Owners Association of America conference in Knoxville. Looking forward to seeing a lot of you folks there. It has been a great, great week. And thanks for letting me brag on my hometown, Memphis, Tennessee. We needed some good publicity, and we got it this week.

Folks, get out there. Have a great, great Friday. Whatever you do, be sure to go to church this weekend.
