Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's America's conservative blowtorch. That's right. I love this American ride. Todd Starns. Oh, yeah.
Hello, everybody. Welcome to the Todd Stearns Radio Show. Hope you're doing well. Hope you had a good weekend, by the way. Wow, write down our telephone number.
You will need this if you plan on calling in today. 901-260-5926. Again, that's 901-260-5926. A lot of big stuff happening around the country. Over the weekend, though, I saw this story and it captured my attention.
Someone sent this to me and said, Starnes, you're not going to see this story on the national news, but it's a big story and you need to be aware of it. And I thought, oh, wow. All right.
Well, what's going on? And so there is video. that was taken in downtown Cincinnati over the weekend. They had a big music festival, a big jazz fest in downtown Cincinnati. And a lot of these big cities are trying to do things that will bring folks back to the back to the downtown area.
A lot of downtowns are really falling apart. You've got people out there doing things that are just It's scaring folks. I mean, there's really no no way around it. But it's really bad stuff that's going on out there in many of our downtown areas. And so anyway, there was an incident in downtown Cincinnati, and it was really horrifying.
And the videos, and I'm not going to play, it's really, you're not going to hear a lot, but you'll hear people screaming. But you basically had a black mob attacking. White tourist. And it wasn't so much that they were attacking them, they were trying to kill them. They were literally trying to kill them.
At one point they the mob just knocked out this white woman. And she fell to the ground, blood falling, blood pouring out of her mouth. There were at least three people that were targeted by this mob. And it's pretty ugly.
Now everybody's talking about this. And we need to be having a conversation about this. Because if the races had been reversed here, this would actually be a national news story. And you would have had every single major national T V station, news organization in America in Cincinnati demanding to talk about the racial issues of the day and about how the racism is uh virulent in American society and whatnot. But we got none of that.
Associated Press, New York Times, CNN, NPR, PBS, nobody's covering this story. Local folks gotta give em credit. That's um They've done a good job of covering the story. But everybody now is starting to talk about this, and we ought to talk about it because we are dealing with an epidemic of black on white and black on black violence in this country. And what we are seeing is the lyrics of all of these ramp songs and the lyrics of all these hip-hop songs and the plot lines of all the video games and the movies and the T V.
TV shows, we're seeing all of this being played out in real life on our streets now. And it's terrifying people. And I can tell you that in Memphis, people just don't like to go downtown anymore. And we're starting to see. I'll give you an example.
Last night you had a mass shooting in Atlanta. In a very, very popular uh area of uh Atlanta. Eleven people shot. People are scared. They don't want to go downtown.
And it's not just in Cincinnati, it's not just in Atlanta or Memphis or even New York or Chicago now. It's just too dangerous. Is too dangerous. But nobody really wants to talk about this black-on-white crime epidemic. And the reason, and folks, if we could spend the next three hours just talking about the videos that came out over the weekend.
showing these black mobs Targeting people. And in many cases, they're honestly targeting more. more black people than anybody else. And you just can't go and enjoy yourself anymore. And someone pointed out that it doesn't matter if you're at Pup Putt Golf or if you're at the Trampoline Place or whatever they call that place, if you can't you can't go to Six Flags, you can't go to the Mall.
without there being this massive mob of people out there. And people are getting tired of it. People are exhausted. And you're not allowed to talk about it because, well, you're not allowed to talk about it because they'll accuse you of being a racist. But you know what?
On this program, we talk about it. And it's a problem in the black community. Especially Now, I'm not saying, and you hear me on this. White folks, we got our problems too. But predominantly in this country, the problem right now in American culture.
You've got these black mobs that are out there, and they feel like they could do whatever they want to do. And they're not scared of the police. They're not scared of the Popo. They're really not. People are now starting to get upset about all of this, and they should.
When you see the level of eyes, it's not like a fist fight, and then everybody shakes hands and goes about their business. These mobs are trying to kill people. That's what they're trying to do.
Now, according to the Cincinnati Police Union, They said four or five suspects have now been identified. They're trying to find these others.
So far, nobody's been arrested. Nobody's been arrested. And that's a problem. According to a um according to a According to a website, my apologies, ladies and gentlemen. Um The Attorney General's Office is now getting involved.
You've got Harmeed Dillon. And also Elon Musk, by the way, weighing in on all of this. I mean, it is ugly stuff.
Now, we just got word that the Vice President of the United States, J.D. Vance, who happens to be from Ohio. Has weighed in on this. Let's take a listen. Uh there was A group of people who attacked a couple folks on the street in Cincinnati, um Senator Bernie Moreno, some others have spoken out about it, have been critical of it.
Okay, okay, yes, yes.
So, so what I saw, and I haven't seen the full context, but what I saw is a mob of lawless thugs beating up on an innocent person, and it's disgusting. And I hope every single one of those people who engage in violence is prosecuted to the full extent of the law. And they will be. They will be so long as law enforcement in the state of Ohio takes their job seriously. I know Dave Yost cares a lot about these things.
But yeah, I actually, you're right. Bernie did send me a clip of this, and we talked a little bit about it. I don't know the full context. I don't know how the fight started. But the one part that I saw that was really gruesome is you had a grown man who sucker punched.
A middle-aged woman, and where I come from, at least when you have a grown man who sucker punches a middle-aged woman, that person ought to go to jail for a very long time. And frankly, he's lucky there weren't some better people around because they would have handled it themselves. But if they're not going to handle it, the cops in Cincinnati, the law enforcement, you've got to prosecute people. We've had way too much lawlessness on the streets of great American cities. How many of you all have wanted to go to downtown Akron or downtown Canton or downtown Columbus for a meal, but you're worried because the local authorities in these big cities have allowed lawlessness to run wild?
We have got to make great American cities safe again for families and children. If you want to take your wife or your children out for a meal, you shouldn't be worried about street violence. And the only way to destroy that street violence is to take the thugs who engage in that violence and throw their asses in prison. Yeah, let me tell you something about the vice president there. He said what every man in this country is thinking because that's one of the reasons why.
And you just think about this for a moment. When was the last time you actually went downtown and enjoyed yourself in one of the downtown areas of our great American cities? And the very idea that you have to carry, the very idea you've got to sit there through your whole meal looking, being on the lookout, making sure nobody's coming in and trying to shoot up the restaurant or rob people. Worrying about whether or not your car is still going to be there after you eat a meal. That is something that everybody in America is dealing with right now.
It's just insane. But J.D. Vance is right, the vice president. Absolutely right here. And when you've got grown men sucker punching middle aged women, In downtown Cincinnati, ladies and gentlemen, we have lost the culture here.
And that is not an easy fix.
So what is an easy fix is to flood these areas with the police and start arresting these thugs. I mean, that to me seems to me that is That's what we ought to be doing here, and we're not doing it. They're not doing it in Cincinnati. They're not doing it in New York City. They're not doing it in Baltimore.
They're not doing it in Memphis. I mean, we're down almost a thousand police officers from our full complement in Memphis. The thugs rule the day here. It's not the police department's fault. They're working their butts up, but they can only do so much.
But I feel for the good people of Cincinnati, that were just going out there trying to enjoy a jazz festival, and you've got these these animals, and that's what they are. You've got a large segment of the population, and they're raising their kids to behave like animals. And until we can get a handle on that, ladies and gentlemen, we're not fixing anything in this country.
So, how do you resolve this issue? That's the big question. Are the churches supposed to step in, and how do the churches respond to this? But right now, you've got moms that are out there having babies, and there was a video going around over the weekend. blew me away.
A mom has Seven babies from seven different baby daddies, and she's pregnant with an eighth child. And she the whole point of this, she's boasting about how much food stamp money she's getting. And the people that were sharing this were black conservatives who are like, we have got to fix this.
So let me just say. There is a problem in the black culture right now. There's a problem. It's in the music. It's in the movies.
It's in the day-to-day interactions. I mean, it's insane. You know, a lot of people won't even shop at Walmart here locally in Memphis. It's seriously. They'll travel outside of the city.
You've got people living in Memphis that many of them just won't even shop here. Because they don't want to get caught up in anything. That's how crazy it is. I'm just saying. All right, we got to take a quick break here.

So, anyway, I'm I'm getting attacked on X for being a racist.
So, it's Monday.
So, anyway. I I wrote something that went a little viral over the um over the weekend. And this is what I said about Cincinnati because it's really bad what happened there. And here's how I framed it. I wrote: a mob of blacks savagely attacked a white man and a white woman.
Now we know it's three white people at the Cincinnati Jazz Fest. This sort of animalistic behavior is happening across the nation with greater frequency. But the mainstream media refuses to cover the epidemic of black-owned white violence. Never leave your home without the ability to protect yourself and your family ever. It's just too dangerous, especially in the cities.
And it is. And people are going nuts.
Somebody, and someone, I completely forgot about this, but years ago, and this has been going on for well over a decade, at least 10 years. And there was one summer in particular, and I believe this was in Wisconsin or Minnesota, where you had all of these mobs, these black mobs, targeting white people at the Six Flags or whatever they call the amusement park. That's what it was. And you actually had the mobs filming all of this, and they were laughing as the white people, and these were white kids, they were getting beat to a pulp. And one of the phrases, oh, that white girl bleed a lot.
That's literally what somebody said. Look, white girl bleed a lot.
So, this has been going on for a long time.
Now, hear me, and this was one of the ladies said, one of the people Well, one of our listeners said this: Black Americans need to be open and honest about this. We don't want to go back to the days of division and hate.
Well, let me say this: the days of division and hate are already here. And this person says, We are all Americans. We need to be united in our goals of treating each other the way we want to be treated. Yes. Exactly.
But that's, but this, and this is only going to get worse. And let me try and see if I can't explain this. For the past decade you have had young people in America. many of whom were in the streets over the week in Cincinnati, and you've had these young people in their public schools and they have been told that white people are the problem and that whatever issues they have in their lives, no matter what those issues might be, are the fault of the white man. That's the whole.
Look, this is what they have been spewing and pouring into the mushy brains of kids in public schools. This is the whole critical race theory. This is when you step back and you look at this idea of one group being oppressed and the others being the oppressors. Nobody ever really stopped to think, okay, well, what happens? What happens when all of these people graduate high school and then end up having to work together, go to the movies together, go to Red Lobster together, go to Chuck E.
Cheese?
Well, we've seen how that's worked out. And it's not good. It's not good at all. Christopher saying street violence in small cities too. Bystanders watching a street brawl were One of two killed in San Barcos, Texas.
Deborah says, Todd, this is life 24-7 in Memphis. But they've made it the norm. Sue says, Todd. This needs to be charged at the federal level. This is a hate crime.
Well, Harmee Dillon and the Justice Department are getting involved. U.S. Marine Corps lady veteran says on my ex-feed, Todd, stay away from big cities and don't go where you can't carry self-defense.
Some people are saying this is, they are fatigued by all of this. They're fatigued. And a lot of people have said, you know, and the way this has been addressed is, back off, you can't say anything. You're not allowed to say anything. You just have to let the culture be the culture.
And a lot of folks now are waking up and saying, no, no, that can't be the way it is. I mean, when you look at all the businesses that are shutting down in the downtown areas. Around the nation, you kinda get it. But nobody wants to talk about it. And the reason why nobody wants to talk about it or address it is this is what they were hoping would happen.
They wanted the chaos. They wanted the lawlessness. And they wanted to brainwash an entire generation of black kids into thinking they are perpetual victims, and the people to blame for all of their problems are the pale faces.
So they're getting exactly what they ordered up in our public schools. I am telling you, folks, the public school system in America is going to be the death of us all. Get your kids out of the public schools as quickly as humanly possible. All right, nine oh one two six zero five nine two six. Our telephone number, that's nine oh one two six zero five nine two six.

There is, this is over in the Ozarks near the Missouri state line there in Arkansas. And a group of people are building a whites-only community. I'm not making this up.
So the the settlement is it's basically you have uh dozens of families and they're all white, and they're wanting to create a community that is exclusively uh for white people. Over a hundred and sixty acres. It's called Return to the Land. And its founders say it's an intentional community based around shared ancestry. Riding on X, they are more straightforward.
Quote, we started a whites-only community. Around forty people live there already, hundreds more. from around the world have paid to be members. This is um It's really a funny story because, first of all, and just let me set the stage here by saying this. I have a problem with anybody who wants to discriminate.
I don't care what color you are. All right.
That's just, but that's just me. And it's America, though.
So if you want to start this kind of a community, all right, whatever, I guess. But they're all being these white folks are coming under attack. And they're being said, they're being accused of being racist, and they're accused of being Nazis. And Sky News went in, which is the big British TV channel. And Sky News went in, and they're basically portraying these guys as modern-day Hitlers, modern-day Nazis.
I mean, that's what they're accusing them of. The Attorney General of Arkansas says his office is looking into a white, so they're calling them white supremacists, a white supremacist group that has effectively created a whites-only community in his state and is now seeking to expand its footprint to Missouri. the Republican Attorney General Has pursued. Um initiatives in his own right. The whites only community formed by A white supremacist group is apparently a step too far for the Attorney General.
So th this is all fascinating. And of course, this all white Community is um Man, it is generating very, very negative press. They're calling it return to the land. And I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this. Thehill dot com I'm gonna read this.
I just find this very humorous. TheHill.com reporting the prospect of a growing whites-only community where members are evaluated based on European ancestry and where Jews. Pardon me, where Jews are denied membership is raising concern among state and local officials. Really? The organization describes itself as a private member association developed in 2023.
Based in northern Arkansas on 160 acres of land. Co-founder of the group said he hopes to expand. to some some land outside of Springfield, Missouri. and eventually expand to all fifty States. The guy by the name of Eric Orwal says We want to ensure white Americans who value their ancestry will have the ability to live among like minded people in the future if they choose to do so, regardless of demographic changes.
He said he plans to coordinate home school groups, health care networks, legal advocacy groups and more, all of which would be barred to people of color. Mr. Orwhal said whites should have the ability to live among their own people, if that's what they want to do. and mass migration is quickly making that nearly impossible in many Western organizations. If people des if people decide to live in multiracial communities, then they should be allowed to do so.
But we don't want racial forced on us in every aspect of our life.
Now this is fascinating. And I am telling you. That the media coverage has been insane. How dare you? This is flat out racism.
This is Civil War era. This is insane. How dare you have an all white community? This is America, modern day America Shame on you Shame Well, it is shameful. But I want to bring your attention to another story.
One that also generated national media coverage, just Three years ago. This is from the state of Georgia. where a group of blank people From Atlanta. decided to create their own black community And let me tell you, the mainstream media loved this story, cut number three. You hear that?
That is the sound of freedom. It feels really amazing. I cry every time I come here. Why were these two women interested in the prospect of buying a town in the first place? We needed to create a space and a place where we could be a village again, a tribe again.
So, Renee and Ashley reached out to family and friends, and together they bought what they intend to name Freedom, Georgia. a new black city. The owners hosted the big black camp out over Labor Day weekend. Supporters drove in from across the country. That is our vision and to be able to pass this land down to my children and to the children that are represented by each of our 19 families as a piece of legacy.
We're hoping to create legacy. Oh, they were all over it. I mean, it's wall-to-wall coverage, as a matter of fact, HGTV. AE Lifetime. They were all in a bidding war because they wanted to make this a reality TV show.
They wanted to follow, brick by brick, the development of this brand new. black only town called Freedom, Georgia.
Now keep in mind that when the white people decided they want to do the same thing, well, that's racist and Hitler. But when the blacks want to do it, well, it's celebrating freedom. Down with Whitey. That's I you can't make this up. All that to say, I just believe discrimination is flat out wrong no matter what color of skin you have.
But that's just me.
Now, here's what I do find that's interesting. I mean, when the announcement of all of the all of this was announced back in 2018, they were literally going to create a black town called Freedom, Georgia, and it got wall-to-wall national news coverage. As a matter of fact, they were saying that this was going to be the new Black Wall Street of America. That was in 2018.
So I thought, you know what? Wow, let's check and see how Black Wall Street's doing there in Freedom, Georgia. What 2018? Here we are in 2025. I mean, wow.
You know what's growing down there, ladies and gentlemen? Weeds. Nothing but weeds. Nothing. has been created.
Interesting.
So there you have it. Yet another example of mainstream media hypocrisy. On this program, we believe that you're supposed to judge people based on the content of the character, not the color of their skin. And again, we love calling out this outrageous nonsense. 901-260-5926, our telephone number.
That's 901-2600. 260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show. He's a man of his word, Todd Starks. Oikos presents 15 seconds of strength.
Here we go. Steve's got a trunk full of groceries and no one to help him. Oh, that's tough, Jim. Looks like a five-trip load at least. He grabs the first bag, the second, huh?
Bob, it looks like he's trying to do it all in one trip. He shimmies the door open, steps over the dog. Oh, and he stumbles. Oh, right into the kitchen without missing a beat. Jim, now that's a man who eats his protein-packed Oikos.
With 15 grams of complete protein in each cup, Oikos Triple Zero can help build strength for every day. Oikos, stronger makes everything better. Mm-hmm. All right, no, I I know exactly how this is going to play out in the liberal blogs and all of these websites. They hire all these greasy-faced, pimpley-faced.
I mean, crater faced guys still living in their mother's basements and they've got the the fingers or they're stained with Cheetos and funyon dust. And they sit there and they listen to everything I say and then they take things out of context. But we don't believe in discrimination. As a matter of fact, we believe that we are the United States of America. But again, showing the media hypocrisy.
They condemn an all-white town and yet they celebrate an all-black town. Let's go to the phone lines, 901-260-5926. We start today in Houston, Texas. Steve, listening to us on Patriot Talk 920. Hi, Steve.
What's going on? Hey, thank you for joining us. Marcall. Todd. you know, this issue just I'm I'm surprised it's even making media because you know, it just points out the reverse discrimination in this country.
You know, we've got black entertainment television. Uh, United Negro College Fund. We've got a this Black America Beauty Pageant. What what if we had a a white college fund or a white entertainment television. You know, white people are the only ones in this country that that get called races for celebrating their culture.
And I believe this is an Am this is America, you know, the Constitution. says that you know we have a right Um You know, they're teaching kids in school they should be ashamed of our culture if you're watching, you know. And I think it's wrong. I think that. you know, there's nothing wrong with what these people are doing as long as they're not violating anybody else's rights.
You know, I believe blacks have a right to their communities if that's what they want. When you look at where things really started to go south, Steve, I think you will see that there was a moment when they decided to desegregate the schools, right? And you had black kids being shipped far across town to white schools, white kids being shipped across town to black schools. And you know, one of the things that no one really thought about was: well, wait a second. What about the community nature of those schools?
If there was a problem, you know, those teachers could call up, you know, mom or dad, and mom or dad could just walk right over to the school to deal with the situation. You didn't have that anymore. You didn't have the sense of the community schools, and you had chaos. And that's exactly what we've got now, which is why there is, in many black communities, there's a big push to bring back the community schools. I support that.
I think the more localized you can make your schools, the better chances you're going to be of having a good, solid school. I believe that is one.
Well, I mean all kids have the same right to education as as the rest. No I just don't I b I believe that, you know, White children or European children, they're being taught, you know, white guilt, that we should be guilty for. You know. go on a convenience tour and baseball caps that say Mexican fried on. But what if he saw a cap in there that said white fried on it?
Well, he'd be thrown out of the store. Hey, Steve, just think about this for a moment, though. I mean, it all sorts, right? When you see all the people out there in these radical left protests, they're mostly young people and mostly young women. These are people who have been.
This is the result of about a decade's worth of telling people that. Your skin color is the problem. You, white person, you're the problem. You should apologize for the color of your skin. That's what we're seeing play out here across the country.
Right. And not only that. That, you know, you see, most of the people that are protest strongly against this are very wealthy white people that live in gated communities. No doubt about it. And you know they want to push their agenda on everybody else Uh but they don't want to live it themselves.
That's true. It's a great point. Steve, thank you for calling in. And it's a great point. And again, you need to understand on this program, we believe that all men are created equal: black, white, doesn't matter.
We're all created in God's image. Let's go to Bill in Georgia, W-D-U-N. Hi, Bill. What's on your mind?
Well, I'm just overwhelmed with talk about. Segregation. And yet, we're letting Islamic communities. pop up all over the place. They're taking over all our cities.
It's just incredible. And yet that people will will go against uh a white Community or a black community. I think we better worry more about the Islamic communities that are starting all over the United States. You know, it's interesting. There was a report out of Boston, I believe.
I was reading this over the weekend, Bill, where they're looking to create their own Muslim police force.
So they're wanting exclusivity for the Muslim community. That's insanity. It is. And I think we better address that issue before these other frivolous things. You know, it's interesting because, again, Bill, when you look at America, and I've just always believed that America was meant to be a Christian nation by our founding fathers.
And under the precepts and teachings of the Christian faith, then you can practice whatever your faith may be. That doesn't work if all of a sudden, you know, Islam becomes the predominant religion of the country. Correct. That's correct. And that would be a very dangerous game.
It's a dangerous game, a dangerous game that we're playing right now in this country.
Well I don't know. I don't think it's getting enough press either. And it's it's happening all over the place. Because they don't know how to talk about it, Bill. They really don't.
And honestly, these radical leftists somehow think the Islamic faith is some sort of a utopia that embraces everybody. That is simply not accurate. It's the complete opposite. It truly is. All right.
Got to leave it there, Bill. All you do, Todd. You're a wonderful person. Bill, you're very kind to say that. Thank you.
And look, I know people get nervous when I talk about these things because you're not supposed to talk about that stuff, Todd. No, we just have to just sit back and zip it and just. You know, pray we don't get mugged. No, I'm I don't believe in that. Let's go to Scott in North Carolina.
Hi, Scott. What's going on? Well, this is not new. They did a thing years ago. Harvey Gant and them started.
at cities across the United States called Soul Cities. that was put up for the black people. If you were looking in took butt. Kind of interested. Blink failure.
Oh, yes. This was back. This was, I know one of the magazines in Charlotte, North Carolina, did the derailed dream of Soul City and what happened to the bold plans and discarded promise of a planned black city. They were going to, they actually had a road already crafted called Liberation Road. You know, here's the problem with this, Scott.
Again, this goes against the very fabric, and the same thing with this all-white community. It goes against the fabric of who we are as America. I agree. But but in the eyes of the media and Hollywood and everybody else, the they would celebrate something like a Soul City or Freedom Town at the same time condemning this all white town in Arkansas. We call that hypocrisy, do we not, Scott?
I think we call it hypocrisy. Mm-hmm. We do. Yeah, I've actually been this whole city. They had one close to Warrington, North Carolina.
Big major metropolis? Cool. Out of the middle of nowhere. No b no bustling Main Street. No, sir.
Completely erased the existence of it. Took the sign down and everything about five years ago. Oh, wow.
Well, that's I'm sorry to hear that.
So you were kind of hoping for Wakanda forever, and, you know, it's just a big empty lot there. Oh, well, well, who knows? Maybe, maybe their luck will change. Scott, I got to run, my friend. Thank you for calling in.
We love all of our friends over at WSIC. 901-260-5926, our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926. Hang tight, everybody. We've got Congress.
We've got a great Congressman coming up from the great state of Florida. Heronopoulos is going to be joining us. Also, Steve Gill, a little bit later, plus your calls. Also, the Senate. Oh, sweet mercy.
We got to talk about the U.S. Senate. John Thun, he needs an intervention, ladies and gentlemen. All right, hang tight. Hang tight, folks.
We'll be right back. Oikos presents 15 seconds of strength. Here we go. Steve's got a trunk full of groceries and no one to help him. Oh, that's tough, Jim.
Looks like a five-trip load at least. He grabs the first bag, the second. Bob, it looks like he's trying to do it all in one trip. He shimmies the door open, steps over the dog. Oh, and he stumbles.
Oh, right into the kitchen without missing a beat. Jim, now that's a man who eats his protein-packed Oikos. With 15 grams of complete protein in each cup, Oikos Tri00 can help build strength for every day. Oikos, stronger makes everything better. Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's America's favorite gun totem, Bible-clanging, deplorable America.
That's it! That's right. I love this American ride. Todd Stearns. All right, welcome everybody.
This is the Todd Stearns Radio Show. Great to have you with us today. Hour two of the big show.
So there's something going on. Up on Capitol Hill, and it's hard to get our head wrapped around all of this, but here we go. Um. We still have well over 100 nominees that have yet to be confirmed. By the Senate.
And instead of just going on recess and just. Going on vacation. There's some sort of a plan that's being hatched between Majority Leader John Thune in the Senate and Speaker Mike Johnson in the House that would bring them back into session every four or five days. In other words, President Trump would be prevented from making any recess appointments.
Now, Congressman Thomas Massey is all upset about this, and he said there's something going on that the Senate, for whatever reason, is not too keen on letting President Trump make any recess appointments.
So, a lot of people are pretty fired up about this, and we're going to get to your calls on it in just a few moments. Again, it seems to me that our own worst enemies sometimes are, in fact, our fellow Republicans.
Well, let's go to the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line. Say hello to our good friend from the great state of Florida, Congressman Mike Herodopoulos. Congressman, hope you're doing well today. I'm doing well, Todd. Thanks for the opportunity to be on this morning.
And always a pleasure to talk to you. Does do you get a little frustrated by the the lack of movement at times up on Capitol Hill, Congressman?
Well, of course. I mean, I think we're all frustrated by what happens sometimes, especially in the Senate. As you know, for anything major other than reconciliation, you need sixty votes to proceed. And it's very frustrating where the House will pass things, whether it be restricting these activist judges or a lot of our illegal immigration policies, we want to continue to push through. But that's the reality we're dealing with.
And as you know, the appointments process is not in the House of Representatives. It is in the Senate. And we are focused in on doing another reconciliation bill and focused in on trying to reduce that waste fraud in Abruzz as we did just last week. Congressman, are you guys hearing anything about movement in the Senate to, again, just go ahead and just declare recess and let President Trump move through with his nominees?
Well, I think that we've seen overall is the fact that remember, this recess was set in the calendar back in January. This is not some kind of impromptu situation. And what we have done in, of course, is been very supportive of the President and his executive orders, let alone the legislation he was pushing to get done. No one thought we'd get through the reconciliation process, cutting spending. More importantly, passing the tax cut bill to help people who earn tips and overtime, let alone a lifetime of work on Social Security.
I appreciate, as always, the unique nature that Matthew does things. But remember, he had this ability to do he should have brought this issue months ago, let alone the Epstein files, which he keeps talking about. There's four and a half years of this under the Biden years. It's just a little odd that he would take this time to, again, take on the President. And as you know, the President is not a fan of Thomas Massey.
And if the President was really concerned about this, I think he'd be calling on Johnson and Thune to push forward. That's something that, as you can tell, Todd, The president, the majority leader, and the speaker are all on the same page. The person who's not on the same page, sadly, is Thomas Massey. Yeah, that's just a big, big question mark right there. You know, Congressman, I really appreciate how you framed this whole issue with Jerome Powell over at the Fed and refusing to cut these rates.
And you're right, it's costing families thousands of dollars. And you illustrated a 30-year mortgage in Florida, 7%. People are paying, homeowners are paying it. You said about $1,000 more per month than it should be. That's right.
When we have three percent interest rates, Versus 6% and 7% interest rates. That's $1,000. Yes, a little bit more than $1,000 a month on an average home where I live in Florida, which is $550,000.
Now, I don't think we're going to turn it down to three percentage points overnight, but clearly the concern that Powell had about high inflation during these the tariff negotiations was proven to be wrong. And if you recall, we spoke last week, I had actually questioned Mr. Powell about his policies during the Biden years, and he admitted he made a mistake on interest rates, and he admitted that the Biden big spending policies were part of the reasons why we have higher inflation. And so I think the time has come now that we have stable prices that we should lower. interest rates.
I think it makes sense economically. I'm a person who believes in supply and demand laws and really jumpstart our economy in addition to the fact that we have regulatory reform and of course, now the tax cuts are finally in place.
Well, not only that, this tariff strategy and the president talk about the art of the deal. This is really remarkable. The amount of money the tariffs are bringing in. I think it even shocked a lot of liberals like Bill Maher, who actually got to get the guy credit and said, you know what, I didn't think it was going to work. And man, this stuff is looking great.
And imagine what's going to happen if, Congressman, if the President does deliver on this. Promise to maybe give rebates to the taxpayers. Yeah, it's a win win. I mean, we I think the key to this whole process is that let the President do what he does best, and that's to negotiate. And with the Powell situation, what did he do for a living before he became President?
He was a developer. He knows exactly what it costs to build a high end property. And what they're doing at the Fed is categorically wrong. And again, I can speak from experience. I went to the Fed and I met with some of the members because I'm on the Financial Services Committee.
You can't believe this place. As I kind of facetiously said, it made the Rift Carlton look like a holiday inn. I'm into places, high end stuff. And that's the last thing we need to be spending money on when we have a huge deficit and we're trying to find savings through Doge and other smart programs.
So let's, I'm curious. I saw that you had written about that and you've been inside the building. And I'm a big, I'm a Rich Carlton guy. When I go on vacation, that's where I normally you're telling me that I've really been staying at the holiday and I ought to be staying at the Fed.
Well, it's club Fed now, right? I mean, it's a new version of it. It's not the prison, it's now the place. I'm just telling you, Todd, I've been there. I mean, I was really impressed.
You can't believe how nice the China is. I got invited by one of the Fed governors because I'm on the Financial Services Committee, and they had white glove service. It's a pretty impressive place.
Well, you're telling me that white glove China service at the Federal Reserve? It's impressive stuff. I'm not joking. I walked in there, I had no idea what I was to be expected, and it was pretty impressive. And I'm thinking, hold on, is this our government or is this some private sector company, you know, Trying to reach high-end customers.
I mean, it was a pretty remarkable place, but this is why the president does the unconventional, and that's why the public loves him. This is why he was able to negotiate a deal I never thought possible with the EU. Can you believe that? No tariffs at all on American goods going to Europe. It's a huge win for our country and American workers.
And America is back in business. I'm so excited about what the president's doing. And we're doing everything in the U.S. House. I can't say anything about the Congress on the Senate side, but I can tell you that our Speaker has been in lockstep with the President, doing as much as we can.
I know John Thun is hamstrung a bit with that 60-vote rule, but we're definitely making progress, and I think the results are showing for itself.
Well, I'm glad to hear that. And again, we're big fans of what's happening on the House side. Congressman, we're going to have to leave it there. Appreciate the description there of the $2.5 billion reno happening over at the Federal Reserve.
Well, thanks for your time as always. Have a great afternoon. I look forward to talking to you soon. All right, Congressman Mike Herodopoulos, everybody from Florida. Can you white glove service at the Federal Reserve?
I'm not saying they should be in trailers, but I remember Governor Mike Huckabee back in the day. When he was the governor of Arkansas, and they were doing these massive renovations to the governor's mansion.
So instead of shelling out all of this money to rent another mansion, Huckabee actually had a triple Y trailer Hauled onto the front lawn of the Arkansas State Capitol, and that's where that's where he lived, he and the family. They lived in the triple wide while they were waiting for the governor's mansion to be. And a lot of people, they made fun of that poor guy. But that's when I first came to really appreciate and respect Governor Mike Huckamie. He was frugal with the taxpayers' dollar.
And that's kind of shocking that the Federal Reserve is spending $2.5 billion With literally white glove china. Unbelievable. All right, 901-260-5926 is our number. That's 901-260-5926. Now, I'm curious here, um, my staff, um I'm going to put you guys on the spot.
Have you guys ever heard of Sidney Sweeney. Sidney Sweeney, are we... Is that uh yeah? Heard the name, know nothing about it. All right, she's a fashion model.
Parker, out of all the people, I thought you would have known who Sidney Sweeney is.
So she is now like the new poster child for um American Eagle, which is one of the clothing stores. That's uh you're in college, Parker, so do you guys shop at the American Eagle? I don't stop at American models.
Okay. You're not being very helpful here, folks.
So Sidney Sweeney is a fashion model, and she's not like one of these woke fashion models that's a 500-pounder. She is a traditional American beauty. And she was wearing very little when she was advertising the clothing that they're selling at American Eagle. And so, anyway, her ad is, her ad involves blue jean jackets. And a very cool sports car.
And the. As soon as that ad came out, American Eagle stocked shot up like a rocket. It's really been remarkable. And so people are really excited about this for whatever reason. It's kind of like.
Well, let's see here. I'm trying to figure out a polite way of describing this. Let back in the nineteen seventies when I was a little child, The teenage boys of the time all had Farah Fawcett posters on their bedroom walls. And it was the iconic Farrah Fawcett with the giant hair and the form fitting red swimsuit. Gentlemen of a certain age will remember this poster like it was yesterday.
So there was a reason why we had Farah Fawcett up on the wall and not Rosie O'Donnell. Nothing against Rosie O'Donnell. I'm just saying, you know, there was that that's who that's who young guys at the time were attracted to.
So all that to say, I'm not surprised that American Eagle chose this rather beautiful young lady Sidney Sweeney to be the spokesmodel for their clothing company. And by the way, it was interesting because over the past five or six years, all of these companies have gone full-blown woke. Remember Dylan Mulvaney, and that was a disaster.
So now you've got these companies that are going back to their roots. And the fact of the matter is, guys want to buy t-shirts and blue jeans from a company where they're going to be able to run into a hot chick driving a sports car. I'm just telling you, that's it. That's what America's all about. No, I don't mean to offend anybody.
No, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with a fat chick. I'm just saying a hot chick. See, I didn't say fat, I just said a hot chick.
So that's on you. If you were thinking, oh, yeah, she's got to be skinny. I'm not saying that.
Some people like the full-figured gals. All that to say. Sidney Sweeney and American Eagle are now coming under attack. And they're coming under attack from the full-figured crowd, the woke crowd. I want you to listen to, I'm serious here.
I want you to listen to this critic of American Eagle who is now upset that they've hired a good-looking white chick to be their spokesman, cut number four. Should we be surprised that a company whose name is literally American Eagle is making fascist propaganda like this? Probably not, but it's still really shocking. Like a blonde-haired, blue-eyed white woman is talking about her good genes. Like.
That is Nazi propaganda. Yeah. It's Nazi propaganda.
So look, here's the deal. If you're a guy and you're wanting to go buy new clothes, you're going to want to go to a place where somebody like Sidney Sweeney is hanging out because you're thinking, wait a second, if I buy those jeans, if I buy that shirt, then I might be able to ride around in her sweet sports ride, right?
Now, let's just say that you've got a barbecue joint, okay? And you're advertising the barbecue joint and you put Sidney Sweeney up there, who's bone thin. I'm probably not going to go eat at your barbecue joint because the food may not be all that good because you got a skinny chick. You put Aunt Jemima up there eating some ribs. By golly, I'm there in a heartbeat because I know, wow, that's some good eating.
You see how it works? It's not all that difficult. And I don't think that that makes me a Nazi. All right, got to take a break here. 901-260-5926.
That's 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show. Yeah. Hey folks, don't forget, head over to your favorite bookstore or ToddSterns.com. I want you to pick up a copy of my brand new book.

So Charlie Kirk stepped into a bit of controversy. Over the past couple of days, by some comments he made about the cost of living. And the young generation, Gen Z, really having a tough time getting out there and planning roots and trying to start their life. And Charlie Kirk was on Tucker Carlson's podcast, and he was talking about this. Let's take a listen.
Cut to. It is the first time since George Washington that this generation has it worse off than their parents at the same age. It has not happened, not even during the Great Depression. It's about the same. This generation is significantly worse off.
And the problem, this is what no one mentions, we're not poorer.
So, you look at all these problems, you would think, like, if you're from Mars and you're like looking at all these numbers, you would think. that the country's gone through like an economic tailspin the last 15 years. Like, okay, your young people can't afford homes and they're putting groceries on credit and they're killing themselves and they're socially isolated and they're addicted to benzodiazepines, benzenzolof. It's obvious you guys went through like a terrible economic catastrophe. No, the stock market's at record highs.
Our companies are more valuable than ever.
So wait. We've solved the tough stuff. We know how to create wealth, but we don't know how to create it for. The generation that needs it most. If you look at the economic conditions, you would think the other conditions surrounding it are like abject poverty.
These are the problems that like third world nations have. I know. Our young people can't afford stuff and they have to finance their basic necessities. And yet we're the wealthiest nation in the history of the world on the planet. We have a $37 trillion GDP.
We have the greatest companies and we have all this stuff to brag about. And yet So there you have it. Charlie Kirk. Saying that The young people of America Generation Z They have it worse off now than our grandparents and great-grandparents had it back in. The Great Depression.
And I'm wondering if you agree with Charlie's assessment here. that American young people are worse off today than they were during the Great Depression.
Now, we're going to talk about this a little bit more in depth coming up after the break because I do have some thoughts here. And I'm not quite sure where Charlie is going with all of this. But it certainly sounds like a place that we don't need to be going as a country. Because I'm telling you, things were very, very bad, very, very bad. During the Great Depression.
And I don't think things are really all that bad today. All right, 901-260-5926, our number. That's 901-260-5926. Are American kids worse off today than they were during the Great Depression? We'll talk about it coming up.
Oh!
Ooh, right into the kitchen without missing a beat. Jim, now that's a man who eats his protein-packed Oikos. With 15 grams of complete protein in each cup, Oikos Triple Zero can help build strength for every day. Oikos, stronger makes everything better. All right, welcome back, everybody.
And I want to go back and play the audio. This is Charlie Kirk explaining the cost of living and comparing Gen Z to young people at the time of the Great Depression. Let's take a listen to cut two again, please. It is the first time since George Washington. that this generation has it worse off than their parents at the same age.
It has not happened, not even during the Great Depression. It's about the same. They are s this generation is significantly worse off. And the problem, this is what no one mentions, we're not poorer.
So, you look at all these problems, you would think, like, if you're from Mars and you're like looking at all these numbers, you would think. that the country's gone through like an economic tailspin the last 15 years. We have the greatest companies and we have all this stuff to brag about. And yet Okay, so look, let me stop there. There's a lot of response to this. Farm girl writing and saying, Having parents that lived through the Great Depression, I can tell you that comment is utter nonsense. People actually died from starvation.
There was no safety net at all. Charlie's lost his mind. The cost of living is high for everyone, not just young people. When the cost of living started climbing in the 70s to 80s, we had to work harder and do with less until wages came up. All right, let's go to the phone lines here: 901-260-5926.
Let's start with Angela in High Point, North Carolina. Hi, Angela. What say you? Hey, I think Charlie Kirk has lost his mind. You know, I have a I have two children.
They are late twenties, early thirties. And They tell their parents work our tails off. To keep food on the table, the mortgage paid, the everything. And then, yet they kind of had this like lax attitude of like, Uh Well, you know, I need a job where I'm not like tied down or, um, I'm just having a hard time keeping week to week. And like Hello?
Uh My mom said, if you acted like that, it was suck it up salad. I get your out there and do what you're supposed to do. Make things work. You figure it out. I don't know.
I don't know what happened. It's a problem. Angela, I wonder if the entire nation, and just for the sake of our argument, I wonder if the entire nation is living beyond its means or living, you know, is it necessary for For all of us to be living, you know, back in the day, the mansions in America were occupied by a very small percentage of the population.
Now everybody has a five, six, seven bedroom home. They've got swimming pools, three or four cars. And I'm wondering if that is leading to a lot of the problems here. You know, a lot of these kids are coming right out of college and they're expecting, you know, to have $75,000, $100,000 a year salaries. You know, they're wanting to have, you know, be able to purchase a large home and all this kind of stuff.
And that's just not the way our parents did it. Certainly not the way our grandparents did it. Yeah, I tend to feel like it's kind of insulting that you didn't learn work hard. Do a good job. And do a good job means Not slack off.
I mean, I work on a job now as a retired part-time, and these 18-year-olds are like, oh, I'm so tired. I didn't want to come to work today. They've been there for like two minutes. Yeah, the work ethic in America is troubling. It's just so saddening.
But in any case, I do think, you know, if we could just trust in Trump and we can trust in. the goals that are ahead. You know, it's bound to turn around because God is ultimately in control. and he has a plan. And we will just have to have a lot of faith.
that it is what it's going to be and it's going to get better. All right, Angela, thank you for calling in. Let's go to Nikki in Salem, Oregon. Hi, Nikki. What say you?
Mickey Todd and uh Mickey, I'm terribly sorry. Oh, that's okay, but Listen, I think you guys are misunderstanding what Charlie said. First of all, I agree with the other caller that the work ethic is shot in the young generation. And we're way too woke and way too weak. We need to bring back more toxic masculinity to.
straighten things out. But that being said, Charlie Kirk wasn't saying that the generation today has it worse than the generation in the Great Depression. He was comparing. The kids in the Great Depression. had it similar to how their parents had it.
And moving forward to today's generation, Today's generation has it harder. With where things are than their parents had. The baby boomer generation. Man, they were set up. They had it great.
They had great jobs. Great retirement. affordable housing um The young generation Does have it tougher in that regard.
So he wasn't, it wasn't a direct comparison between the Great Depression and today's generation, he was comparing. the the parents of that generation of that time period during the Great Depression had it similar to what their kids experienced. And today, That's not the same. Is it possible, though? Is it possible though?
And Mickey, I don't know what age demographic are you. Oh, did we lose Mickey? Oh dear. All right, we lost Mickey. Um my ap my apologies there.
Um Look, here's the question I have for all of the young people out there.
Okay, so you're saying you're having a hard time paying your bills or you can't afford a house, or what kind of a house are you trying to buy? Are you trying to buy a is it a starter house? Or are you trying to buy something that's four or five hundred thousand dollars? You know, a lot of kids think they're going to be able to get right out of college and just jump right into life that took maybe years or decades for their parents to get to. And maybe maybe that's the issue here.
Maybe, just maybe, when you start looking at a lot of the things that kids are buying these days, do you really need those things? Do you really need to buy? $100 or $200 sneakers. Do you really need to buy? All of the designer clothes.
Do you really need to buy a brand new car? Maybe, maybe, just maybe, could you not get by on a used car? Do you really need three or four credit cards? When you talk about having to get an apartment where the apartment rent is what, $1,100, $1,500 a month.
Okay, well, maybe you ought to look at either moving further out from the city or you should consider doing something else. I mean, you don't you don't have to have the best of the best you and because you can't afford it. Because you're just starting out in life. And it takes a little bit of time. It takes time to get started.
But I'm I'm curious though. What sort of statement is Charlie trying to make here? What is the point? Where was he going with all of this? Because ultimately It sounds like you've got a generation of kids that want to take away from the wealthy so that they're going to be able to have it easy.
And I just don't know about that. All I can tell you is this. I know my dad had to work there were times my dad was an electrician, and it was tough. You know, the eighties, the economy, the oil industry pretty much collapsed, and it was really tough for our family. And my dad had to work two and three jobs just to put food on the table, just to make ends meet.
You know, my mom ended up having to go out there and. and and get a job. You do what you have to do, and it may not necessarily be the job you want, but it's the job you take because you've got to pay bills. And I'm not sure that work ethic was passed on from Gen X. It was certainly passed on to me and my generation, but I'm not sure that the Gen Zers got that same sort of work ethic.
Let's go to Doug in Georgia. Hi, Doug. What say you? Well, I've Every book guy I know. who runs the trade Plumber, electrician, you know, landscaper, they say that the young people they show up for a couple of days and then they leave.
So, one, they don't want to work. look at the lines at Starbucks. They think nothing of paying five to six dollars for a cup of coffee they can make at home. Everyone's got to have the latest iPhone. No, this isn't a question of deprivation.
If anything, it's a question of overconsumption. And so yeah, if you don't save your money, you can't buy a house.
So what? And like you said, compared to what my I grew up 1,500 square foot home, my kids grew up in a 5,000 square foot home.
So they they think they gotta have a big old house. No, no.
So it's it's uh no, Charlie's so wrong, and so is that caller that said Charlie was only making the comparison. No. Charlie clearly made it sound as though the young people, Gen Z, are suffering in some way, and that is a joke, Char uh, Charlie, and I love Charlie, but he's wrong.
So Hey, love your show and your books. Man, you gave me one 'cause I answered a question right once in, um. Your signature is quite nice. Take care.
Well, thank you, Doug. I appreciate that. We try our best at penmanship here on the Todd Stars.
So thank you for that. 901-260-5926. Again, curious to hear your thoughts on this. Are kids today worse off than young people during the Great Depression? I will say this: it was so bad.
It was so bad during the Great Depression. I only hear, you know, I've read this and I've heard it from my grandparents who grew up during that time period. You know, um, There were many days when people went without any food at all, without any food. Yeah. And it was so bad that people were literally j dying of starvation and malnutrition during the Great Depression.
I don't see that happening right now. In America, I don't. I think there's a and by the way, there were no food stamps back in the Great Depression. And I remember my grandparents, they thought they were living large because they actually went to school with bread and they had bacon drippings.
So they would take the fat and they would use that, they would smear that on the bread, and that's what they would eat. I mean, that's how they lived life back in the Great Depression. It was a horrible time. And I'm just, I'm having a hard time understanding the, you know, comparing. what our nation went through in the nineteen thirties.
to what's happening right now. Because what? Kids can't afford More video games. Kids can't afford the latest smartphone. And again, here's a thought.
Here's the thought. Maybe instead of spending seven to eight hundred dollars on a smartphone, I know this is going to sound weird, but you go and you get something that we call a landline. And you paid a piteance of that for your monthly phone bill. All right, got to take a break. 901-260-5926.
This is the Todd Stern Show. All right.
So Charlie goes on to say that Americans over the age of 50 are too quick to fault younger generations' unemployment or financial uncertainty on the unwillingness of young people to work hard. This is a quote from Charlie: Why is the right so blind to the suffering of the young people that gave you a Senate majority?
So he says that one of the problems is a credit-based economy that deters the motivation to pay off debts. I'm just wondering, what is it that Charlie wants us to do? He doesn't really get around to saying that. But he says Generation Z doesn't own anything, and the future of the economy is in the hands of those entirely reliant on renting and credit. He says Gen Z this is the quote, Gen Z owes the most money in any generation in history.
The debt isn't because young people are living above their means, he says. Most are actually doing this to meet their means. Is that true? Or seri in all seriousness, is that true? Or are is it Are you telling me that most people in Gen Z have to rely on credit cards because they can't afford to pay their bills.
Let's go to the phones here. Jacksonville, North Carolina, Lou on the line. Hi, Lou. What say you? I totally disagree with what he's saying.
I believe that one We've gotten away from any fiscal responsibility like in class and they talk to you about checks and credit. And I believe also the school system We Reward children who don't put forth the effort to get good grades. And we, everybody gets surprised. Everybody graduates. Everybody, no child left behind, even though you're.
Not doing well in class. The same thing happens with credit. Everybody gets credit. If I get credit, I'm going to go along with it, even though. I can't afford to pay it off, but they'll give me another credit card.
Responsibility take the responsibility for your actions. No and they always wanna No one wants to hold themselves accountable.
Well, the mess they got themselves in. Lou, I don't know if anybody's really thought about this, but let's say. You don't want to pay rent anymore, right? You want to be able to buy something. You can't afford a house.
Let's say you can't afford a simple, say, 1500 square foot house.
Okay, well Have you thought about going out and buying a trailer, a mobile home? You know, again, those are, they make great mobile homes, people. And guess what? You're buying something. You don't have to worry about paying rent.
And you're, again, you're putting yourself in a situation where you can save money and you can go to that next step. Maybe it is that 1,500 square foot house, or maybe you want a five-bedroom home, but you can only afford a 1,500-square-foot home. It may be not the nicest neighborhood.
Well, you know what? You take that risk. You make those decisions. I agree 100% my first home purchase was a mobile home. And Little by little, we save the money up and purchase purchased another home.
But people want to feel good about themselves. They want I guess it's the downfall of society. Where we have to take a picture of how great we live, even though we're up to our neck and build. Wow, ain't that the truth? It's true.
You're right. Everybody, and you know what's funny? A lot of those social media influencers, I'm like, how do they afford to fly in those private jets? Lou, it turns out they're not. There's actually a place you can go that you can fake it.
It looks like you're inside a jet, but you're really not. You're in like some crazy room. But you're right. I think there's a lot to that. All this social media, you see how everybody else is living, and you think that you're the only person not living that way when, in fact, everybody's sort of in the same boat together.
You know, here's the reality: you want to be able to buy the designer stuff, but if you can't afford it, you can't afford it. Lou, thank you for the call. Let's go to Alan in Cedar Point, North Carolina. Hi, Alan. What's on your mind?
Uh, well, this is the first time I've called into your show. Um I used to be a Gen Zero only when we were in our 20s. There wasn't a name for us. We were just the young people. The young folks.
I grew up. in an orphanage, a big orphanage, where it was more of a work camp In an orphanage, that's how they kept us in line with working us. And I don't mean chores. I mean work, even as a child.
So I had a great work ethic from the time I was in the third grade. And in my 20s, We didn't whine if we needed to get ahead. We got two jobs. I had two full-time jobs in my twenties. Whatever we need to get ahead, we did it.
Because our parents were the baby boomers who worked their behind all. kept their heads up, took care of their credit. And did one.
So I was a product of that. But just to give you an example. uh my last marriage This lady had an eight-year-old and a 10-year-old. And one day, a beautiful, beautiful day, I think it was May, blue skies, just beautiful outside. And I went out and handed him a rate.
And I said, you're going to rake the yard today. And it ain't a very big yard. Maybe a quarter of an acre, I see, rake up the rocks in the stick so that when I mow it. The mower doesn't throw it back and hit me with it. Way back inside.
Ten minutes later, I look out the window and she's come home and went straight from her car to her boys, took the rakes away from him and started wrecking the yard. Oh, Lord. I walked out and said, What are you doing? And she broke down in tears. Started sobbing and said I just couldn't ask him to do it.
And that's the problem with America, Alan. You give us a holler back. Hang tight, folks. We'll be right back after this quick break. Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's common sense conservative commentary from Todd Starr.
That's right. I love this American ride. And hello, everybody. Welcome to the Todd Stearns Radio Show. Happy to have you with us today.
Write down our telephone number. You will need this if you plan on calling in. That number, 901. That's 901-260-5926. And we'll be taking your calls momentarily.
Also, following some breaking news, this coming out of. Reno, Nevada, where a gunman opened fire at a casino. This was the Grand Sierra Casino in Reno, Nevada. The government is in custody, but the reports are that a good many people have been injured in the attack. We have very little information, but again, this was a shooting at the Grand Sierra Resort just a few moments ago.
And we understand that the gunman is in custody. We understand multiple people were shot, but we don't have any indication of what their Of what those injuries are. I want to read this from a city council member. His name is Devin Rees. And by the way, we have the info up at ToddSterns.com.
City Council Member Devin Reese saying, My heart breaks for the victims, their families, and our entire community. Reno is strong, but we are not immune to the epidemic of gun violence. Gripping this nation. You know how the Democrats are. They're always, always looking for opportunities to play politics.
Unbelievable. But certainly our thoughts and prayers are with those who were injured in this attack. As soon as we get more information, we will bring that along to you. Also, um We're following some comments from Dan Bongino over the weekend. which are very puzzled puzzling and a little disturbing.
Dan Bongino taking to Twitter as he is oftentimes he does. And he said some things that really caused a lot of people to wonder what exactly is going on, and specifically within the FBI.
So, FBI, he is the deputy director of the FBI, Dan Bongino is. And he said, and I want to read this to you and hear your take. During my tenure here as the Deputy Director of the FBI, I have reportedly repeatedly relayed to you that things are happening that might not be immediately visible, but they are happening. The Director and I are committed to stamping out public corruption and the political weaponization of both law enforcement and intelligence operations. It is a priority for us.
But what I have learned in the course of our properly predicated and necessary investigations into these aforementioned matters has shocked me down to my core. We cannot run a republic like this. I'll never be the same after learning what I've learned. All right, let me stop right there. That is a shocking announcement coming from an official government.
Position I mean, Dan Bongino is writing not as a podcaster or a a radio host, but Dan Bongino is writing this as the deputy director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
So a couple of things here. First of all, I'm not sure. That Bongino ought to be putting stuff like that out there. unless he's going to provide us with clear context with what he's talking about. He mentioned the aforementioned matters, but he never really mentions what those matters are.
What is he talking about? Is he talking about Russia, Russia, Russia? Is he talking about the Epstein files? What is he talking about? The Trump assassination attempts.
What is he talking about? And this is, I mean, people were really freaking out about this over the weekend and trying to understand what Bongino was trying to tell us. I want to go back and again say, read what he wrote. What I have learned in the course of our properly predicated and necessary investigations into these aforementioned matters has shocked me down to my core. If it's that bad, call out a press conference, haul everybody out there in front of the cameras, and let's talk about it.
Let's get to the what are you talking about here? Bongino goes on to say we cannot run a republic like this. What is he talking about? If you are in the administration and you're a person of authority, which Dan Bongino is, you can't come out and drop this kind of a nuclear bomb and just carry on your day. You're going to have to back up here and explain to us what you're talking about.
And more importantly, if you are shocked, Dan Bongino, what does that mean? What should we be? And what should we be doing right now? What exactly is happening? That the republic may possibly be in danger.
He says, We cannot run a republic like this. That tells me that we're doing something and something is going on. That could put the Republic in danger.
So I'm I'm just curious. Where is all of this going and what he's trying to tell us here? But anyway, a lot of folks fired up over this. Also, Tulsi Gabbard. Dropping lots of truth bombs over the weekend as well.
We also now understand. In another story, that the FBI and the Justice Department were ordered by Barack Hussein Obama not to arrest Hillary Clinton for espionage. Going back to the Hillary Clinton email controversy, let's play cut number one, please. About what the Obama Justice Department ordered federal lawyers to do and not to do concerning the Hillary Clinton email investigation. Chief intelligence correspondent Katherine Harridge tells us in sworn testimony on Capitol Hill, one of the insiders told lawmakers what she was told.
During closed-door testimony last summer, former FBI lawyer Lisa Page said the Obama administration's Justice Department advised the FBI not to pursue the gross negligence statute for Hillary Clinton in the mishandling of classified information. Former U.S. Attorney and House Republican John Radcliffe led the line of questioning about the statute, known as 18 U.S.C. 793. Radcliffe, you're making it sound like it was the department that told you you're not going to charge gross negligence because we're the prosecutors.
Page interrupted, that is correct. Page's testimony appears to conflict with then FBI Director James Comey's recommendation in July 2016 against criminal charges for Clinton. What I can assure the American people. Is that this investigation was done honestly, competently, and independently? No outside influence of any kind was brought to bear.
The Republican-led House Oversight and Judiciary Committee investigation ended in January. With Democrats now in control, the committee's new ranking Republican made the page transcript public. The transcript releases show an inherent two-tier system, one in which Hillary Clinton gets the treatment that she got, where they was actually at first concerned that they were going to charge her, and then with Loretta Lynch in charge before she recused herself, made it very clear that that was not going to happen. The tip-off came from a chart drawn up by federal investigators assigned to the Clinton case known as Mid-Year Exam. Fox News has confirmed that the chart listed possible federal statutes for prosecution.
Next to gross negligence was a notation: quote: DOJ not willing to charge this. Only known cases are military. Cases when accused lost the information. In response to the page revelations, the president tweeted the transcripts, quote, make the Obama Justice Department. Look exactly like it was, a broken and corrupt machine.
The page transcript also confirms Fox's earlier reporting. The page testified Russia collusion was still unproven when Special Counsel Robert Mueller was appointed. All right, that's a reporting from Fox News Channel. Look, here's the deal. Obama's probably going to get away with this because of presidential immunity.
And I get that. All right, I'm good with that. And the reason I'm good with it is because I think other people. Right. in hot water.
And other people in the Obama administration and within the Democrat circles are fair game. They're not covered under presidential immunity. And it could very well be that indictments may be coming. And hear me on this: I don't have inside knowledge of this, but if I'm reading the tea leaves right, Hillary Clinton, John Brennan, and James Comey may be going down pretty quickly. Those may be the big three indictments that are coming out here.
We will wait and see, and it may take a little bit of time. But if this is where all of this is going, and again, I don't know what Pongino was talking about, and I think he would have been better off not tweeting that because it just lends to more speculation. And we don't need that kind of rhetoric coming from the Trump administration. We need clarity coming from the Trump administration. Because, look, here's the deal.
I mean, it's really this simple, folks. It really is. If we go down this path again, and it's another Epstein situation where there were no files, there were no black books, there was nothing. I don't think the American people are going to buy that. I really don't.
All right, got to take a quick break here. 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Starn Show. All right, getting some more information on this terrible situation in Reno, Nevada.
Where a gunman opened fire. We now understand this happened outside the casino in the valet area. The shooting happening at 7:30, that would be Pacific Coast time. 10:30, that was 10:30 this morning Eastern Time. A Reno police warning people to stay out of the area, but we understand at least two people have been killed.
Three others we know of have been shot. A local hospital, and we have information up at ToddSterns.com.
So I would encourage you to go and check out our website for updates. But that's about all we know. The suspect is in custody.
Now, this is weird. According to CNN, The suspect was seen pacing the parking lot. of the resort for about forty five minutes before the shooting. The suspect apparently opened fire, but then his gun jammed. And then once he cleared the jam, he resumed shooting.
I mean Seems to me if you've got somebody that's wandering around your parking lot pacing for 45 minutes, you would want to you'd want to get to the bottom of that pretty quickly. But that's just me.
All right, 901-260-5926, our telephone number. Tulsi Gabbard calling out the media over the Russiagate story cut number eight please It's been interesting to see how the mainstream media has either refused to cover this story at all, the headlines or the lack thereof of newspapers, Washington Post, New York Times, and others in the days following this release have actually been quite deafening in their lack of coverage. And it's interesting to see how when they do cover this, they don't actually cover the revelations that these intelligence reports and the evidence that we released actually conveys to the American people. They simply talk about their criticisms of it or convey Democrat politicians' criticisms of it, but none of them actually deal with the truth that has been revealed. Look, it's a fair point.
I mean, it really is. And we've got to get to the bottom of this. And I know the media is not going to cover the story, and that's okay. They're going to have to cover the story once Hillary Clinton and John Brennan and James Comer, Comey rather, get hauled off to jail. Once those individuals are indicted, they're going to have to come.
They're just going to have to. I mean, that's the way that is. All right, there was a crazy story over the weekend. It was a busy news weekend. There's a Walmart in Traverse City, Michigan.
It's a small community, about what, 14, 15,000 people. Anyway, this guy went on a stabbing spree inside the Walmart. At least 11 people were injured. and the guy tried to behead one of the victims. It was Pretty awful.
He apparently made a B line for the pharmacy area, which is where a bunch of older people were.
So this guy clearly knew what he was doing and he was trying to find easy victims and the elderly waiting for a prescription. That was the target. Area at least. And anyway, 11 people injured. Everybody we think is going to survive.
So, anyway, this guy. will not stop. And that's when a couple of great guys Stood up and put a stop to all this nonsense. There was a Marine Corps veteran, and he was there on vacation with his family in the area. He rushes over.
To lend a helping hand, and he actually took down the bad guy with a grocery cart. I mean, just slammed it into the guy. There was another shopper, and you'll see the video at ToddSterns.com. We actually had the video of all of this going down at ToddSterns.com. You will see the gun owner.
He's a black dude with dreadlocks, and he's a law-abiding gun owner, and you'll see him. and I only mentioned the skin color, so you'll be able to figure out who's who in the video. But you'll see the black guy pull out his gun, and this man practiced great restraint. He told him, You will stop what you are doing now. And then the Marine veteran got involved, and they were able to take the guy to the ground.
But thank goodness for those men. And there were others as well that were there to help. But predominantly the Marine Corps veteran, the law abiding gun owner, those are the heroes of the day. The sheriff said the actions of the Good Samaritans literally stopped the carnage because the guy was trying to find other people to go and stab, but those guys weren't going to let that happen. And again, it's just a reminder: when you see these men doing what they did on this video at ToddSterns.com.
When you see them you realize wow this is This is America. This is what we do. When people are under attack, when the elderly and When women are under attack, you've got grown men that are going to stand up and do something about it. And that's exactly what these guys did. And if you remember not too long ago, oh, it was like last year, they used to call this kind of behavior toxic masculinity.
But the way I see it, ladies and gentlemen. When you've got a madman running around Walmart with a knife. That's exactly the kind of masculinity you want. Right? I know I certainly do.
All right, 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. Coming up on News, Max, wow, do we have an incredible show for you? 5 o'clock Eastern. The great Bill Cunningham from Cincinnati, WLW, is going to be joining us to give us the lowdown.

So if you would like to donate, you can do that by going to ToddSterns.com. But again, thank you so very much for the incredible generosity, almost $25,000 this radio show has raised. And we'll be giving you guys a big shout out here shortly. We'll be right back, everybody. All right, welcome back to the Todd Sterns Radio Show. Great to have you with us. Yeah.
Looking at the Nevada situation. Uh we're looking at Guys, let's take that music on down, please. Thank you. Looking at the Nevada situation, two dead, three injured. and the casino there.
So we'll keep you updated on the shooting. We understand the government has been taken into custody. All right, cut number nine, please. On the FC files. Or your name does not appear in the FC files.
But doesn't the agent have to tell you if your name is appearing?
Well, I haven't been overly interested in it. You know, it's something, it's a hoax that's been built up way beyond proportion. I can say this, those files were run by the worst scum on earth. They were run by Comey. They were run by Garland.
They were run by Biden. and all of the people that actually ran the government. including the auto pen. Those piles were run for four years. by those people.
If they had anything, I assume they would have released it. The whole thing is a hoax. They ran the files. I was running against somebody. that ran the files.
If they had something, they would have released.
Now, they can easily put something in the files. That's a phony, like as an example. Christopher Steele, a person you know well, happens to be from your country. But Christopher Seale, as an example, wrote a book, a dossier. We call it the fake news dossier.
And the whole thing was a fake. The whole thing was a fake. They can put things in the file that are fake. But Those files were run by bad sick people. If they had anything, why didn't they use it when I was killing Joe and then he gave out because he was 25 points down.
And then I got somebody new. Nobody even knew anything about her. She was a horrible vice president. She was our border czar, but she never went to the border. She never once called a border patrol agent to find out how we're done, but she was the border czar.
Her name was Kamala. Nobody knows her last name, but it was Harris. But nobody knew her last name.
So I ended up, how would you like to end up in a race where you're killing somebody, you're beating them, and then they say, all right, we'll take him out, he's not working, let's put somebody else. And then she had a six-week honeymoon. It was amazing. They predicted she will have a six-week honeymoon, and she did. And then she got slaughtered.
But think of it. Those files were run by these people. They were run by my enemy. Uh If there was anything in there, they would have used them for the election. Yeah.
All right.
There you have it, ladies and gentlemen, President Trump. And I you know, I will say this. The President has had really just a tremendous, tremendous visit To Scotland. And the fact that these tariffs are coming in and the tariffs are working, the president suggesting that American taxpayers could be getting some sort of a rebate thanks to the tariffs, that tells you everything you need to know. If that happens, Donald Trump is going to go down into history as one of our greatest presidents, even though I do believe.
He now officially is One of our greatest presidents. Just really done a remarkable job.
So, we're getting some new intel from the situation in Cincinnati. And I first brought this to your attention over the weekend on our socials, where you had the white tourists that were brutally beaten in the streets by the black mob. This is not something that is unique. This has been going on for quite some time, and it's been happening in cities all across America. This is one of the reasons why a lot of families don't want to go out and do things at some of these, for example, amusement parks, go to downtown areas, especially downtown parks, because they don't want to be caught up in all of that.
Carnival Cruise Lines? You know, it's interesting. Carnival Cruise Lines is in a world of hurt right now. Because they're getting it from both sides.
So, Carnival Cruise Lines, and here's the deal. I mean, if you go on a carnival cruise, you may as well be in downtown Cincinnati. At least in downtown you've got a chance to escape. I mean, if you're in the middle of a cruise ship, what are you going to do? Swim?
It's insane. But until the culture changes, and that's the conversation nobody wants to have. Nobody really does. They don't want to have that conversation. It's always the white man's fault.
I mean, they're blaming the white guy for everything. You know it's great here in a. This is years ago when I bought KWAM. I have to share this story. This is one of my favorite K-Wham stories.
So I bought K-Wham. And there were a couple of weird shows that just had to go. One of them was a black LGBT show that was run by Planned Parenthood. And I said, No, I can't be a part of anything that's got Planned Parenthood dollars. Before I even agreed to buy the radio station, they got rid of that show.
But there was a program. Oh, it was the MLGW, the union for Memphis Light Gas and Water. And so anyway, they had a show. And they paid. I mean, it was the union paid the bill for the show.
And I realized right away that it was never about. The MLGW wasn't about light, gas, or water. All I knew was that they hated Donald Trump and they hated Republicans and they weren't too fond of white folks. And so so anyway, the show was hosted by these black dudes. And one day they were just going off on how You know how the white man had them down.
It was always about the white man. And so I thought, you know what? I'm going to have a little bit of fun.
So I called in to my own radio station, and they put me on the air. And I said, guys, I don't think they knew, I don't think they ever figured out who I was. But I said, so you're blaming the white guy for all your problems. And I said, well, let me ask you a question. At the time, I said, who is in charge of who's your boss?
Oh, he's a black guy. And who's his boss?
Well, he's a black guy, too. And what about all these other leadership positions? Oh, they're all black guys. I said, well, how is it that you're blaming the white guy? The black guys run everything.
So, why is it the white man's fault? Can you name me one white guy? Just, you know, we'll throw it, we'll pin it all on him. Just give us a white guy. We'll blame that guy.
But they couldn't do it.
So I said, Well, how is it, guys, that you're blaming your plight on the white man when, in fact, Everything is run by blacks in Memphis. And they actually conceded the argument. They said, you know what, you got a point there.
So, all that to say, you know, they're out there blaming. the white man, I there's really nothing to blame the white man for. Slavery, slavery. I hate to break it to you, but there haven't been any slaves around for a very long time in America, so that excuse no longer applies. Keep in mind, though, and I love putting this into context because it drives people nuts.
They would have you believe. We're talking about the 18 and 19-year-olds now, all right? They would have you believe. that things were just as bad in the nineteen nineties and the early two thousands as they were in the eighteen sixties. No, I'm serious.
That's what they want you to believe. Anyway, we do have an update. This is from Fox News.
Now the White House is officially winning, and Harrison Fields Telling Fox News that engaging in this level of barbaric violence is unacceptable. and those responsible must face the full weight of the justice system. He goes on to say restoring safety to America's communities is a cornerstone of the President's Make America Safe Again agenda. As a result, we've seen crime levels plummet under President Trump's leadership. which has secured the border, empowered our law enforcement, and taken dangerous criminals off the off our streets.
Well, I hate to break it to the White House. That's a load of crap. Because they clearly haven't been to Memphis, Tennessee. It's terrible. Crime isn't down here.
By the way, the White House said they were going to come to Memphis. Wh where are they? Why haven't they been here? Here's the thing. What you what you would want to do in a situation like this, and I appreciate the language coming out of the White House, but it's just a load of hooey.
Because we live it every single day. I don't know what it's like in the big city that you live in, but last night, Atlanta, Georgia, one person killed, 11 people shot right there in the in a community just off of downtown. Here in Memphis people are afraid to g go outside. Go downtown. Have a good time.
They told us they were coming. Tom Holman said they were on the way. But they haven't got here just yet. Delta's ready when you are, Mr. Border Czar.
But forget about the borders are for a minute. We've got problems with law, we've got problems with American-born criminals. Sure would like to see some boots on the ground here. But imagine that, taking the most dangerous city in America, which is in fact Memphis, Tennessee, taking the most dangerous city in America and then transforming it. Putting resources in, getting the street safe, putting boots on the ground.
Arresting all the criminals. Imagine the statement that would make to the rest of the of the nation.
So when Harrison Fields is talking about, I don't know, I mean, he's reading off a talking point. But quite frankly he's speaking out the wazoo on this issue. And I only know that because we live it every single day here. Just within the course of our conversation, my Citizens Alert asks me going bonkers. We've had two or three people already get shot during the time that we've been on the air together today.
So, anyway, I certainly hope they get it together, but this situation in Cincinnati, Ohio, that is unacceptable. And I am glad to finally see people standing up and speaking out about this nonsense. All right, we've got to take a quick break here: 901-260-5926. That's 901-265. two six zero five nine two six.
I've got to tell you folks About our friends over at the Association of Mature American Citizens, AMAC. Man, they have got a great website. They're the conservative alternative to AARP, and they're fighting every single day to protect our great nation. And here's the deal: you can join now, and it's just literally a few dollars a year. That's amac.us slash starns right now and join the fight to keep America strong.
Uh All right, welcome back. This is the Todd Stern Show. Let's go right to the phone lines here. Athens, Georgia, Scott. Hey, Scott, what's on your mind?
Tyler, I'll just listen to what you were talking about with Holman and Trump and about the violence in the cities. This isn't Holman's b uh It isn't his dig, and it's not Trump's, it's the governors. These governors are a bunch of empty suit cowards. They won't put the National Guard in the big cities because it makes them look incompetent. I'll be governors and just a bunch of boobs.
Liberals like Memphis. Why don't Bill Lee put the state police in there and put the National Guard in there and crush what's going on in Memphis? Yeah, Bill Lee is a squish, and he has absolutely no man parts, this guy. He doesn't give a rip about Memphis, Tennessee. He never has and he never will.
And he is terrified to do anything to stop the crime here, which is why, Scott, if we're not getting help from our state leaders, at some point, the federal government's going to have to step in. And let me explain why I mentioned Tom Holman, because Tom Holman on this very radio program said, Hold on, Memphis, I'm coming. And we're just waiting for him to show up and be a man of his word on that. I don't know. I just feel like that the governors is the key to this.
If they have the failure for years, we wouldn't have this problem if the governors If we had governors like, you know, like like They used to have like Lester Maddox and George Wallace and governors like that. They used to s Crush stuff like that. You mean racist? Tho those are segregationists for God's sakes. Yes, but they were good governors.
Were they good governors? No, I don't think they were good governors. They kept law and order in this state.
Well, I think you can keep law and order. All right, Scott, hold on. You can keep law and order without being a raging racist about it. That's what I I mean, again, this is not about race. This is about the rule of law.
That's what this is about, right? He was not a racist.
Well, he wouldn't let blacks eat at his chicken joint. I would say that's r that's racist there. That's yeah. I mean, if you want to have that conversation, Scott, we can have that conversation. I can pull out every history book you'd like.
I mean, we can, but we're not going to go down that path. You know, because again, this is not Go ahead. But you're attacking people that used to keep law and order in this country, Georgia. Alabama. We used to have law order in the state.
We had, I mean, you can let your door and leave your door locked. You can't do it anymore. These states are absolutely in chaos, and these governors have moved.
Well, I'm not going to disagree with you there, but I don't think Lester Maddox is the answer. I'm fairly certain he's not. Scott, got a run. Thank you. All we need are people that are.
Well, you see, the reason why Bill Lee won't do anything is he's afraid of being called a racist. That's the reason why.
Okay. And it's really shocking when you you see what's happening around and yeah, we do need law and order, but we don't need I mean, you mentioned George Wallace standing in the schoolhouse door and Lester Maddox. Come on. I will say this, that We're not going to get law and order because a lot of these Republican governors are terrified of being called racist. They're terrified of any sort of criticism.
And so therefore they would rather let cities like Memphis, Tennessee burn. I mean, they would. You have a, I'll give you an example. In Tennessee, we have a super majority of Republicans in the House and the Senate. They have the power to put a stop to all of this chaos in Memphis.
They won't do it. They will not do it. You look at our schools out here. Over 70% of the kids can't even read at grade level. They're illiterate, they're not learning anything.
And the Republicans who control our statehouse in Tennessee, they don't want to touch it. They don't want to touch it.
Well, you know what? That's bad. It's bad for the state, it's bad for America. And everybody talks a big everybody talks a great game. But when it comes time to actually doing something, I mean, look at what's happening in New York City right now.
Same thing is happening here in Memphis. You have literal incompetence. Literal incompetence. You want to know why?
Well, there is racism at the ballot box. In Memphis, the only people that get elected to office here are black Democrats. That's it. Well, yeah, you've got some white Democrats, but overwhelmingly black Democrats. And if you're not black, if you're not a Democrat, there's a pretty good chance you're not getting elected to anything, even dog catcher.
So I'm just telling you, it's bad out there. And I'm glad the White House is speaking out, but they're not doing anything. Nobody's really doing anything about it. You talk about law and order. You want to talk about law and order?
How come we're not deporting ten, fifteen thousand illegals a day? Why why aren't we doing that? I mean, if you want to have that conversation It's look, it's easy to get frustrated over all of this. All I can tell you is if you're going into a downtown area, an inner city area, you better make sure you have some way to protect yourself and your family. That's all I'm trying to say here.
