We'll break that down on this program. Part of that broadcast Albert Breer is going to be joining us in less than 20 minutes time from Philadelphia to tell us what did go down in Chicago for an offensive coordinator switch entering week number 11 and then we'll focus on the college football world. Jalen Milro of your Alabama Crimson Tide football team will be joining us in hour number two. There's an opportunity for you to join us as always 844-204-rich is the number to dial. Good to see you over there Christopher Brockman.
How are you sir? Hey Rich real quick just want to wish my mom a happy birthday today. And she's retiring tomorrow so it's a big week for her. Very proud and very happy for her. That is terrific. Yeah happy birthday mom we love you. Where is Mary out there watching? I think she's finishing up work this morning she might watch a little replay later. Okay fantastic.
Mary Brockman. Shout out fantastic mom. Good news to start the program it's always great. Hello sir what's going on Jay Felley? Oh you know just as shocked to be here as you are to see me.
Were you a last minute pinch hit? Yeah I was just telling TJ I was boarding a flight from Vancouver at like eight last night and said all right you're in. Okay. All right.
Wow well I'm glad that you you did such a thing and again sometimes I have no idea how thin the netting is underneath this program. You're like a Wallenda brother. TJ Jefferson good to see you over there sir how are you? Well you know TJ.
Surrounded by flowers and balloons. I guess I'm great really. This is great. I had a great podcast yesterday that's for sure. Yes who was on the note contest wrestling pod? Eric Bischoff was our guest yesterday and it was awesome. It was really a good show. That's out there for everybody to listen to Jim Jackson.
The Jim Jackson pod show is going to be out there later on today. He's got Howard Beck to break down what a great game and what a great night in the NBA last night in the association. Wambunyama scoring 50 in just 26 minutes that's a record. 59 for Giannis they needed every last damn point of that and the Bucks needed that win and Carl Anthony Towns TJ's bestie 46 points and a loss.
Nicks almost came back from 22 down against the Chicago Bulls and then LeBron with a third straight triple double as he's a month plus shy of his 40th birthday. We'll discuss all that and there's what the football with Susie and Amy that's out there as well with Dan Patrick overreaction Monday and more. What's at stake tonight?
I can't wait. Week 11 begins this evening on prime video right here on the Roku portal. Commanders and Eagles one of four division games this week that also includes the blood sport rivalry between the Packers and the Bears and you've got the Bears with an offensive coordinator switch. You've got the Seahawks coming off their bye in desperate need in desperate need of a win.
The 49ers trying to get their footing going on that's another one. Ravens Steelers two of the best in the national football league. Steelers on a nice roll with Russell Wilson. Ravens coming off of an exhilarating game one week ago tonight an overtime win over the Cincinnati Bengals pardon me not overtime but a game in which the the Bengals were trying to just win in the final throw as it was their first game that they played that was overtime. At any rate those are your four divisional games and then you've got the Chiefs taking on the Bills on top of it. Bengals here up the road needing to come up with a win against a six and three Chargers team. Just a terrific weekend of football all starting off tonight between the commanders and the Eagles. Would you like to know the last time the commanders were eight and three?
If they win tonight they would be eight and three. Best I could tell. 2012?
Best I can tell no sir. That 2012 season they were 10 and six but they were not eight and three to start. Okay.
I'll check on that just to make sure. That is correct in that season in 2012. Based on I can tell it was their Super Bowl winning season of 1991 when they were 14 and two.
Wow. After that 14 and two season in 1991 they had 10 wins in 99, 10 wins in 2005, 10 wins in 2012 and they haven't had a double digit win season since 2012. Yeah in 2012 they were three and six and then one out before making the playoffs. Tonight the Washington commanders are the team that can look the Philadelphia Eagles in the eye and say not this year because Cowboys and the Giants haven't been able to do that yet and Jayden Daniels comes in at seven and three coming off of a difficult loss at home to the Steelers and what he is doing in his first 10 games as a rookie is just beyond impressive and he and this commander's team have an opportunity to show everybody that the first 10 games are not just like a nice uh neat little story going on in the mid-Atlantic. That they are not only a nice little story but a big ass threat in the entire conference let alone that division because that's what's at stake.
That's what's at stake. Eagles win tonight they're eight and two the commanders lose two in a row in just a span of five days and they're seven and four and they are looking up at a two-game deficit in the loss column and if the commanders win this one they are eight and three they are a half game better than the Eagles but they have that golden ticket w in their back pocket. I talk about it all the time the best win you can come up with in the National Football League is a win on the road in division. That's the one and if the commanders come up with that tonight and they wipe the taste of that loss to the Steelers right out of their mouths and they go into Philadelphia they put Philadelphia right into the bucket of yeah but who have you really beaten because Philadelphia coming off their bye they beat Cleveland at home they won at the Giants. Cincinnati was a very impressive win in my book but if the Bengals fall to four and seven by the end of Sunday night who have you really beaten when you beat Jacksonville at home and you need to really scratch and claw to do that you needed an a Kobe Dean pick of Trevor Lawrence that by the way turned out to be the last throw Trevor Lawrence has attempted in this league maybe this season and then at Dallas when we all know Dallas is less than and in case you're wondering what happened in that game in any way shape or form just look at TJ's corner. Anyway sorry TJ no idea he was about to catch a stray which is my favorite which is my favorite stroke I mean blowing a dart just to see if anybody's awake it's unnecessary it's all I'm saying so that's what the commanders can do hey nice five-game win streak you got there Philadelphia yeah that's who did you really beat because we just came into your house and we just won and this is what is at stake the division because the NFC East this is unbelievable according to NFL network research if you can put up the NFC East standings if you don't mind the NFC East currently has a three and a half game gap between the second place team and third place team commanders and cowboys that's the largest gap between the second and third place teams in any division through 10 weeks this decade wow and the Eagles and commanders according to NFL network combined have a 99.7 chance to win the NFC East in 2024 the cowboys make up the final 0.3 the Giants are at full blue tarski 0.0. 0.3 DJ you got a chance there's a chance come on man we're not mathematically eliminated I'm saying there's a chance which means the uh NFC East will have a different winner than the previous season for a 20th straight year maybe that's the longest streak without a repeated division champ in NFL history I'm sorry 0.3 with respect to the 0.3 I don't I don't mean to hawk too on that 0.3 guy why are you going to make it worse by doing that Tranquilo we got a chance we talk and play all we are not unfortunately for the Giants but again that's that's it right that's it and Jaden Daniels can come into Jalen Hurtsch's house and come up with the win just like he went into Joe Burrow's house and nobody thought that he could come out with that win on that Monday night in week number three and send the Bengals to 0 and three it's the same exact setup oh yeah nice uh nice start you got there commanders too bad you're going to go into Cincinnati you can't win that one and under the lights oh yeah nice seven three start you got Washington you can't go into Philadelphia in a short week with the way the Eagles are just on tilt right now defensively and offensively and coming and just end the party can you can't wait for it tonight right here on the Roku portal on prime video who you taking um I'm still going back and forth on it um but I'm leaning towards Washington right now okay stay tuned to the end of the show I'll take my finger off that chest piece oh yeah man you know I can't quit him disrespect man it's not the disrespect I'm I don't know I just like I just like the way the commanders the commanders have had some the commanders and the bears the commanders and the um Steelers commanders have gotten pretty lucky dude you could sit there and say that the commanders have played the ravens the bears um and you could say the bears are less than but I'm sorry the Steelers if the Giants have a kicker they lose to the Arizona I mean they have been more battle tested in the last five weeks than the Philadelphia Eagles oh I I I I don't know oh really okay they put the Giants Bears and Panthers who the commanders are terrible those but not the Bears team that they they had in their house coming off their bye they're about to lose that game to the bears the bears of that day were not the bears of the last two weeks they scored 18 to 16 points I get it I understand I'm leaning I'm not saying that I'm making that decision just yet you asked the question I'm answering it all right this respect is real so they've beaten two good teams that's my uh my setup so you're taking the eagles for sure you're taking the eagles tj no no no oh I I'll go uh you know I feel about both of these teams but at this point I didn't know Washington football team go ahead do your thing whatever all right wow no but but the bottom line I'm not there yet I'm not there yet all right well it seems the bottom line the bottom line is though um nobody coming into this season season thought it would be the commanders in week 11 that would be standing in the Eagles way of potentially that is true winning this division oh you you thought that except I did hmm really let's go back to the he wasn't let's go back to the nfce standings pre preseason you had them finishing second yeah so two solids sir thank you I took my cap to you he gives a lot of wearing a cap he uses a lot of his overreaction though no no that's not overreaction monday he's when we predicted that I was predicting I know okay so okay I see how you do well done thanks well done you had the cowboys third though right I did okay very good let's take a break when we come back albert we'll call in brea brea brea will join us right here on the rich eisen show bring me brea bring me brea from philadelphia what in the hell is puka puka and tua and so it took a while but you know i mean you've had derek henry i made some moves you've had derek henry who's been a monster obviously that's true it makes sense rich first round puka derek henry second round coming back up the the ladder you saw how strong the bloodline's been in wwe so you figured you'd try that out in the nfl sure make sense i see your head i think that's what you're saying yeah i think i understand i hate having guys on thursday night football and i have my quarterback and best wide receiver i just don't like it because if they bust they don't like thursday you're stuck staring at a crappy number for the whole weekend but just suck it up man i mean it doesn't matter it all it all it all comes out in the wash no it doesn't yes it does like if jaden daniels has 12 points tonight i'm gonna be so angry the whole right it's gonna hurt him till monday night hurt well aj brown eight points i'm gonna be so mad in my poker league i just said i i i for jaden daniels and terry mclaurin i decided let's just stack it go well that's the matchup we have in our sleeper team too let's go let's go let's go tonight's gonna be awesome tonight's gonna be big a big game sprinkle a little ursa six out of seven look at you and then there's genital uppercut genital uppercut that's the matchup a lot of people not focused on that match up but now they are even leave the hotel yet at 2 a.m shout out to the doubler i would have loved it what's on your mind well there's a couple things here rich i think i'm probably going to go and take the eagles tonight i'll probably buy the hook i just see them just being a better team even though i think the the commanders are playing really well jane daniels looks great i just think since the eagles moved cooper to gene uh to playing a lot more he's kind of really solidified that that secondary and i was still wishing that we would have taken him and set a purse all uh in the first round hey man he just had his first big he just had his first big game i i i would put a pin in that statement for the moment terzo uh we'll see what pierso looks like um you know and i understand you you want to back end help certainly the hifanga still hurt and i know that's not the same position as cooper to gene but um and i appreciate the call terza we got breer who's who's now set up um but you know i i'd put a pin in that uh you know ricky pierce all statement right there i like him you know me too yeah i think that offense is about to hit it we shall see joining us here from philadelphia kind enough to join us before a big night for him as part of the broadcast team of prime video thursday night football and sports illustrated senior reporter albert brayer good to see you bird how are you doing brother good how you doing rich i'm good man what's your reporting on what happened in chicago let's just jump into it what do you got yeah it's um it's kind of a crazy situation i think it's a combination of things um i would start with you know maybe caleb um having a long way to go as a quarterback and um you know coming from the offensive background that he came from playing for lincoln riley at oklahoma um and then uh you know a usc like maybe he wasn't as ready for the nfl as um as you would have hoped and so like in the spring in the summer you start you saw some things where there was a learning curve with um you know cadence and you know running a huddle and spitting a play call out and adjusting some stuff on the fly and doing things at the line like a lot of that stuff was was behind so there is that um i do think that because there are veteran voices on the offensive side of the ball there there was some frustration both with the scheme and the quarterback um you know and then i think where caleb's at on all this is a factor too and um you know just i would say i would say when you know you're a young player and you hear you know some older players are frustrated well then does that get through to you now in defense of shane waldron i know you know he did meet with the offensive leaders and um you know tried to try to really work with them on all this stuff but it just feels to me rich in a lot of different ways like you know maybe the maybe the issue was kind of not having a coach on staff who had a lot of experience working with a quarterback this young you know and so i think the feeling out maybe took a little bit longer than they expected and they were aggressive i mean you remember you and i talking about this in the spring and summer how aggressive they were about you know onboarding him and getting ahead with him and it's just i think you know because of all the work that was done and because some of the veterans voices in the room um you know maybe they had kind of gotten to a point where you know frustration you know kind of put them in the frustration put them in a position where something needed to change and again like i think part of it if you look at their staff like the makeup of their staff like shane waldron part of the reason he brought thomas brown with him the two of them worked together with the rams was because he was a different voice and now you know obviously the the the bears players look at that voice on a full-time basis yeah man it's kind of crazy just putting it all together and i appreciate you doing that albert where you know i think it was multiple times ago when you appeared here and you were saying how the bears used a top 30 visit meaning it's the the one time a prospect can visit your facility and it was the only top 30 visit caleb williams took was to chicago they used that to help start install an offense i mean keland kean and alan was at his pro day here in southern california i mean the bears were truly trying to be smart about it and get the wheels spinning in a way that other teams who are about to choose a rookie quarterback at the top of the draft could not do and yet here they are prior to week 11 making an offensive coordinator change going with a guy whose previous coordinating experience was last year with the team that performed so poorly they were able to draft caleb williams and now that's the guy who they're turning to to say in the middle of this cauldron prior to the packer's week to say bail us out and and i'm wondering what what you're hearing about that process yeah um well i i i know um you know one thing that they have done this week they've met as a unit a little bit more um than being broken up in position groups and um yeah i think that allows them to address some big picture things um you know i one thing that that maddie refuses sort of emphasizes the team is that all their goals are still in front of them you know they're not one and eight they're four and five you know so um there's still you know like everything they everything they want they haven't played a division game yet rich believe it or not like six of their last eight games are division games starting this week with uh with the packers so um obviously like things have not gone according to plan um and you know i got i i think everybody feels the pressure now of of where they're at and and what all this means going forward um you know i i think it's it's it's impossible to miss the fact that two two coordinators have been two offensive coordinators have been fired in season this year and they're the two guys that that maddie reflux chose to run his offense in in chicago is luke getsy who you know is just fired with the raiders and now it's um you know his most recent coordinator and shane waldron so um do you get another swing at that if you're mad eberflus or do you have to find a way to make it work with thomas brown to get yourself out of this i think the latter would probably be the answer so what and then we can move on what you're reporting on on eberflus's voice in that locker room you know dj more famously last week asked if eberflus had lost the locker room he says i want to say no um you know and so what what's what's that scoop right now yeah i mean i think it's i i i think matt's done like a really good job over the last two and a half years of getting that program back to level ground developing a defense but you know offensively it hasn't worked i mean you could even look to like justin fields going to pittsburgh and i know he's not starting anymore but he went four and two there you know um so like were they getting the most out of justin fields in 22 and 23 and are they getting the most out of caleb williams now are they doing enough to meet uh meet caleb halfway um i i just i think there's a lot of frustration in general there right now like and i think this can boil up boil over in in different ways but when you have accomplished players in the locker room like kean and alan like dj more guys who have pelts on the wall um you know d'andre swift like and they are stuck in this sort of rut where they have not scored a touchdown since that hail mary um you know i i think that frustration can manifest in a number of different ways and um you know again like one i think you know we all talk about like losing players and everything else like part of the coach's job is to give the players the answers to the test and you know i i do think to some degree the players on the offensive side maybe have lost a little faith um that those answers are are there for them our prayer here on the rich eisen show steelers and raven's brother can't wait for this one and the steelers also starting a stretch in week number 11 where their division games are in front of them everybody else they've already played and they're coming into this stretch you know sitting in first place at and and they're also sitting there with the quarterback situation totally settled right i mean like this thing is settled and russ is what's the general sense around the league that that the old russ is back right now albert yeah i i don't know the old russ is back but i think it's like finding an effective way to to use him and you know i i think a lot of people deserve credit for this um you know rich i think i think mike tomlin for having the instinct to go against what a lot of the people in the his building um felt uh three weeks ago i think you know arthur smith deserves credit for designing an offense that works for russell that leverages his greatest strengths and i think russell himself deserves credit for accepting the reality of who he is a quarterback and i mean we all heard this right like that when he went to denver like he wanted to play quarterback a different way and they were going to let him they were going to spread the field out and they were going to let him throw the ball all over the yard and be a point guard and he was going to be like a payton manning tom brady type of quarterback as he aged and it didn't work and i think you know like it took russell a while to wrap his head around that and i think working with sean payton probably got him a little closer to the answer and i think the answer is the people in seattle knew what they were doing you know and the people in seattle deployed them the correct way and so you know i know a lot of what they're doing with the movement and the run game stuff and marrying that with um you know with with with the passing game um you know a lot of a lot of the concepts that they're using relate back to what he did really well in his early years in seattle so i think russell deserves some credit like we've all criticized him right like for you know how self-aware is he those sorts of questions well like i do think that there's some humility involved here and russell accepting that you know maybe the answers that he thought he had were incorrect and um and that sometimes and and looking back maybe some of the things they did with him in seattle were correct um because i think a lot of the success they've had with him as the quarterback go right back to the things he did did well when he was a seahawk albert breer here on the rich eisen show let's get to tonight what a game man i'm psyched for you psyched for the whole prime video crew that you know last week was just dynamite now here's a great follow-up game between two more division opponents washington and philadelphia what happened in that eagles bye week that um changed things what what what's what's your two cents there so i think it's a couple things um you know i think nick seriani knew um with two new coordinators like there was you know like some leadership turnover too in the locker room with fletcher cox and jason kelsey gone those are two guys that were very very important to everything that has been built there um you know over the last decade plus and so um you know i i i i know one thing that that nick wanted them to do both his units and his position groups was reflect on the first month of the season and i think a lot of those guys took that to heart and that's across the board offense defense they had new coordinators they were adjusting to and kellen moore and vic fangio and it wasn't just on the players it was on the coaches too hey like take a hard look at what we're doing here and how can we do x y and z better and i think if you want to drill down it and on it in particular with you know what they were able what jaylen hurts and kellen moore were able to do i mean they talked every day during the buy and they bounced stuff off each other and um if you look like and you you take a close look on it at it it's not just the five wins in a row since the two and two start it's also jaylen's individual performance um in that he was his passer rating was in the 80s in each of his first four games and since then it's been 115 or better in each of the last five games i mean that's a market improvement no matter how you look at that quarterback rating stat and um you know part of it of course is getting healthier getting aj brownback's obviously going to be a big deal but you know i do think like a lot of progress was made during that bye week here's the other thing like i do think the egos view themselves as one of these franchises that uses the preseason or uses the first month of the season in this you know in this era the way the cba is set up is almost an extended preseason they don't play their guys a lot in the preseason games and um you know like they feel like they're strong enough from a roster standpoint um where you know they can work the kinks out early in the regular season and i think that was part of what happened over the first month as well how about that and then the commanders brother i mean what uh i i mean the new franchise right they totally are man i i speak you speak to uh a commander's fan a washington football team fan right and and and they're just looking around that they're they're they're thinking they're going to wake up and dan snyder is going to wind up in the owner's suite again and they'll be just like what you know that they're not in kansas anymore you know what i mean and and you talk to them and they're like i can't believe jayden daniels and and you know and and the way that dan quinn's coaching they can't believe it and yeah and terry we had terry mclaurin on and i know you know him and obviously you've been following his career since since he stepped out of high school and i said to him after that that that catch that that catch against joe burrow to beat uh against the the bangles to beat the bangles on that monday night on in week three where instead of settling for a field goal jayden daniels took one in the chops and found mclaurin in the end zone and basically said drive home safely i said to him you looked like a guy who's like all right i got my guy i finally got my guy with all due respect to the other guys that he's had he didn't deny it i mean it's just 100 what's going on right now but now you gotta sit here and wonder i mean is there is there a rookie wall what is going on for the final stretch here can they come up with that dub tonight which would be huge obviously so you know i i love but i love like a couple like the stories you hear about jayden i really love them right like so i'll give you a couple um you know so there was that week they were in arizona right like um and if you guys remember i think it was it was between it was between the monday night game and week three or week two and then right like and then they played the cardinals the following sunday right well here that game against cincinnati was at week three monday night then they went to arizona and came home for cleveland that's what happened right right right right so so so they were in arizona for that whole week and i'm you know you hear like dan quinn told me like he would walk down the hallway in um his in in at the at the hotel they were staying at there in arizona and you know like they have the makeshift meeting rooms in the conference rooms in the hotel and he said he'd walk out of his office there and at 9 p.m he'd walk by the quarterback room and the lights on you know and jayden daniels is still in there he's habitually at the facility at 5 30 a.m anybody knows cliff kingsbury knows he's an early riser well jayden's there with him and they're getting time working sort of off the books on stuff to make him better he does the virtual reality stuff like that's something they're very big on at lsu he carried that right into the pros with him um it's just you know like every little thing you hear about him is like this kid does it the right way you know and this kid is like really focused on becoming the best football player he possibly can be and i think that's how he's earned the respect of so many people in that in that in that locker room and and i think it's also the maturity rich of a of a guy who went through a lot in college um was it two different colleges um started 55 games um was a multi-year starter at both schools went through you know everything that happened at arizona state with the ncaa investigation and everything else and if he had come out after three years there's a and maybe he would have gone undrafted goes to lsu has to reset you know and then lights the world on fire over two seasons there so he's a kid who's seen a lot and been through a lot and i think there's a maturity to the way that he conducts himself because of it and i think it shows up and like knowing what it takes now having an understanding of what it takes and um you hear little things too like little things like um you know his eye discipline in the first game wasn't great like he played really well but he was pretty quick to have his eyes down and then look to run well you know like then in week two you know he worked on that and the light came on for him in week three it's like oh wow like when i keep my eyes downfield i'm really opening opportunities for my receivers and so you know like there's just little stories you hear about the progress he's making and the amount of work he's putting in um they couldn't be happier with him and if you've been around him at all and i just spent a little time around him like just how smooth and cool he is and how natural he is kind of in his element you know um you know on a football field and a locker room all that like there's reason to be really really excited about where he's at i love it for commanders fans that's for sure albert breer before i let you go six three win teams five two win teams third of the league has three or fewer wins entering week number 11 what is the coaching carousel front looking like right now with about what would you say seven games writ large left for everybody here yes well so we already have the two coaching changes right so like um you know the jets um you know obviously um you know made their move quite some time ago the saints are now in that category too um you know i get asked a lot who the next team would be i mean i think the jaguars are the staff there's fighting for their job um you know like i obviously chicago's in that boat too now um having offloaded an offensive coordinator so you know this could be a year where we wind up with seven or eight openings and it'll be interesting because i think you know you've got guys in different buckets this year um like i don't think that there's like an overload of candidates from one bucket you know so you have you know the offensive mastermind types um you know ben johnson certainly in that grouping i think he's going to be picky um the lion's offensive coordinator um does clif kingsbury get another shot now he sort of hits multiple things as the former head coach and an offensive guy you have an older offensive mind which isn't as common in todd munkin with the ravens a lot of people like what he's done there then you got the ex-players right like so you're dan campbell model you're damico ryan's model could a guy like erin glenn you know be the next one there and then hovering over it all you know we have we have the death star right like we have the we have the old death star of the last 25 years which is bill pelletjek you know so um so it it should be interesting you know and i think it's um you know you i i don't know that there's like one trend this year that everybody's going to be pulling on um it feels like again like there are multiple buckets to to pull from um and so that part of it's going to be interesting as for like again the end season changes you know i i think the jaguars once they sort of survive that london turn yeah i don't know if they're going to fire coaches soon um but i don't think things are completely great in that building and or have been um so it'll be interesting to see where that one goes um as for chicago like i i think this week was probably their move i don't think the macaskies would do anything in season so i don't know who's going to do anything in season right now anyway unless unless it's unless it's like a full-on revolt from from a fan base and i i don't see that it's obviously you know down the road and you mentioned you know a couple of things i mean aaron rogers saying he thinks he you know it looks like he wants to play in 2025 which what i would imagine would affect woody johnson's coaching search before he appears to to be leaving again and then you've got dallas and you know when nfl network launched it was the parcell show down there when dallas kind of needed a switch after you know some gear spinning to just hand it off and say you think we can't have somebody in here who wants to shop for the groceries well guess what we can and and go to work and that i don't know if that's a fit or if belicheck is going to have a better shot at getting gigs now than last time around i guess i don't know that's the dallas ones the dallas one's fascinating to me rich just because um you know like like you said like there there is um it's it's like the last time and that the contract's expiring like remember jason garrett how they were like they looked like legitimately were running a coaching search and they hadn't let him go yet you know what i mean like so i it just feels like a lot of different things are on the table there with mike mccarthy's contract running out if things don't get better and i would go back to you know why jerry hired bill parcells in the first place and i think the reason why is he needed credibility right like that was the thing they were trying to get a stadium built they had just been through the dave campo era they had become like a little bit of a laughing stock and so they needed credibility which is why jerry jones was willing to hand the keys over to bill parcells are they at that point again i think it's a fair question like are they or are they not at that point again where they they they feel like they need credibility they need somebody to come in and you know turn the ship it's an interesting one and i think you know i i don't know if i put at the top of the list but it's certainly on the list of uh of jobs you'd consider like that would that might fit for balacheck and um you know i guess full full circle here albert um i appreciate you speaking of dallas for closing the curtains behind you um you know me to open them i can't like let's see if this is like an at&t stadium situation right here because let's shine it now oh see right i can't even see now anybody oh my god wow yeah you know what i mean like i didn't think it looked bad but like you know see oh wow look oh it's on automatic wow of course bezos is putting them in a nice spot look at that normally you know normally i'm used to those big old you know you can use your plastic rods that you have to yeah you know you gotta you gotta shove them together and shove like a wastebasket up against it to make sure it doesn't have a crease look at that the first time with this one the first time was when i yanked it and i was afraid i broke it because it like it it started moving i was like whoa what's going on there so i'm not accustomed to it either but just expenses what is it bezos won't miss it he won't know get out of here but see but there it is see i mean if only jerry had curtains like that brother if only you know the crazy thing about you guys know about the orientation thing with the stadium right you guys know about that part of it go for it so like how every football like the all the outdoor football stadiums are north south orientation to avoid that problem and at&t stadium is east west which is why that problem exists and you guys know that and that was done on purpose well i mean yeah because he thought it would look cool i think he thought it would look cool which it does look cool right it just doesn't help you play football photos are amazing yeah oh yeah there's that picture i mean you guys have seen that picture of brady dropping back and the sun is like it looks like it looks like you're playing football and like like in heaven or something on that one picture but i'm sure it doesn't help you see downfield if you're the quarterback look at that man there it is yeah yeah the referee in this photo is shielding his eyes yes he can't see yeah blinded by the light yeah that's a beautiful picture yeah i feel i honestly you see like could you see like sean hockley wearing like aviators out there yes when he's not speaking german i by the way rich i i heard i heard your reaction um and that was great when you came out with a joke and you were like oh that was perfect oh my goodness look at this look at this guy hooked on phonics all of a sudden just out of the blue where were you when you sent this tweet chris oh i mean was that on a sunday was it a sunday night i remember i was probably just at home and you just said you know if the eagles make the playoffs i'll take a bite out of mike del tufo's hat you said i will take a bite out of mike del tufo's hat yeah eagles have made the playoffs and you have avoided the inevitable for a week that ends now i just sliced up a one inch by one inch cutout of mike del tufo's callaway hat and i placed it like little easter eggs into the half of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich take a bite here we go you go rockman is taking a bite did you get a piece of the hat there i think you did oh yeah we chose the peanut butter too you stand nearby nope nope we don't it's part of the hat sticking out i didn't get oh that is a that is an awful piece right there and that's like in that sandwich no you may not as long as you eat it as long as you eat it yeah keep going oh keep going i didn't go through man this piece is like right in my tooth why did you even do this chris you didn't have to you took the mclovin because the eagles stink you took them they're terrible oh my god that was sunday radio audience i can't even tell if that's a piece of glistening jelly or a piece of a glistening gel a jelly glistened del tufo hat piece down it just i feel like i'm talking to taylor eating her broccoli just eat it and we'll get off your case oh he just went one bite he finished it this is not going to be good because that is peanut butter and it is jelly and it is del tufo hat and you just jammed literally three inches by three inch piece of sandwich it was a proud day for my future son oh my god have you shown kade that cage that video no no he's never seen that yeah back on the near you joe burrow as we all know coming off of yet another brilliant performance we're going to see him once again on a nationally televised night game last time it was a week ago tonight against the ravens he and jamar chase they combined for 19 000 yards that was a record and they still lost joe burrow was asked about getting the ball to jamar chase and it led to a terrific response you know when you have a guy like that if if you're not finding ways to take it in the ball then he maybe not isn't going to let you know directly but he'll let you know in his way for sure what's his way it depends sometimes it's on the sidelines sometimes it's a individual conversation in the locker room sometimes it's through you guys i know there's there's a lot of different ways that a receiver can tell you hey get me the f***ing ball joe working blue by the way that's really funny as he was going through his that answer i'm like thinking about i hope he does say through the media because remember last friday we're on the set in munich and i had not yet heard the jamar chase soundbite prior to it airing on our show him being asked about the two-point conversion the bangles went for at the end of the game to just wrap this thing up and win it with hardly any time left and how he wasn't in the route he wasn't targeting he wasn't even like he wasn't even in the vicinity and i'm like wondering how do you feel about that and i sure thought he sounded like he was telling joe burrow throw me the football hit it uh yeah i mean i always feel like that as a receiver you should want the ball yes but you know sometimes joe don't see it what did you think of the decision to go for two is that what you expected say again what did you think of the decision to go for two is that what you expected yeah hell yeah i agree 100 percent were you open on the two-point conversion yeah i'm always open it shakes his head like that sometimes joe doesn't see it what kind of question well joe got hit in the face on the two-point play so yeah i imagine he didn't see jamar that's one way to not be able to see something that's true i just i i find that funny i love those guys because chase said what he said and i thought like that's an interesting message if burrow sees that sound bite and of course he will and there he is now days later prior to taking on the chargers one of the best scoring defenses in the national football league in many metrics here we go yeah uh jim's defense i think we'll have uh is better equipped or has been playing better enough over the first nine games of the season than john's to handle burrow slash chase sunday night football what a great game this is for week 11 i just love their relationship and it's just once again i i i don't get it i don't know how i don't get it i don't understand it when you've got to pay your guy and you know you're going to pay your guy just pay your guy right just pay your guy right the eagles do it right howie rosman always pays his guy early early and even if it didn't work out paying him early like with carson wince they offloaded him and then they got hurt and then they got hurts and how's that been working out for him and they paid him early they paid him before they paid him early enough that it helped set the standard and market for lamar lamar has the same contract basically it's unreal how hey bangles you're gonna have to pay jamar chase and you know what he's ready for it because last i heard he's always open he's open to signing he's ready to sign yeah i don't get it because now you let you let justin jefferson set the market now you gotta pay him what jefferson's making but you do more you do get it it's it's mike brown it's the bangles this is what they do they don't fire coaches and they wait till the last second to sign their star players and i guess what it's it's it's it's better maybe for their cash flow to not have all that money in escrow for for a year i would imagine so i would imagine he doesn't have you know walmart money it could be that or you know it could be that take your pick actual issue that when you pay somebody guaranteed money you have to put a certain amount in escrow and if yes if it helps not to have that all that money tied up in escrow for a year then then that's why they'll wait to pay jim or chase yeah these are all things i just truly don't understand it's the truth though it is the truth it could be that that some people have cash flow all over the place it's not like he's walmart and then suddenly uh brown bar brown stadium has uh has a a sponsor attached take pay core pay core because they need to pay joe chase bank field and pay core stadium what are we waiting for and his money all right i just like their i love their relationship they go back to college they can say this stuff about each other and when it comes down to it you know they're coming for you on sunday and sunday night i cannot wait for this game and it all starts tonight with eagles and commanders it is a football world in which we are rent paying everybody jaylen milro of alabama coming up hey it's rich eisen here join me and my compadre chris brockman every monday on the overreaction monday podcast rich jamus has taken the brows to the playoffs dude why can't they win seven eight games to finish the year why not i'm not saying it's no why
