Green 18! This is the Rich Eisen Show. The cadence specifically, Robert, said that might be something you guys have to dial back.

It's one way to do it, the other way is hold them accountable. Live from the Rich Eisen Show studio in Los Angeles. How do you see Alabama and Georgia playing out? Big game for Kalen DeBoer. He's trying to be the host-saving success story.

What's interesting about this game is they're going against Kirby Smart, who is essentially saving 2.0. Today's guests, NFL Network analyst Gerald McCoy, quarterback consultant Jordan Palmer, and now it's Rich Eisen. Hey everybody, welcome to this edition of the Rich Eisen Show. There's nothing to talk about, so thanks for joining us. We're done. Good seeing you guys. Oh wait a minute, it's the exact opposite. Oh my gosh. Good night, God bless. One of those days where we wish we had twice as many hours because there's so much to discuss off of a wild sports weekend where college football went off the hook and the National Football League was filled with its usual drama.

There's a doubleheader in Major League Baseball today to determine who makes the playoffs in the National League, and it would be better off for the two teams playing if they both forfeited. Let's just put it straight up. It's really wild in that story, what's going on there. There was a major trade over the weekend in the NBA, which is mourning the passing of, yes, Dikembe Mutombo passed away. The news broke about a half an hour ago. We'll do our best to cover all of that.

844-204-RICH is the number to dial to have a conversation on any of the above. We have on this program Gerald McCoy, my colleague from NFL Game Day Morning, making his way to the set to discuss week four in the National Football League. Jordan Palmer is going to be zooming in. I believe he would like to have an I Told You So moment about Sam Darnold.

He was here in the studio before the season and says anybody who's discounting Sam Darnold's worth and value and opportunity to be excellent in Minnesota is missing the boat. And the Viking ship is 4-0. And Seattle would like to join the Vikings in 4-0. All they got to do is win in Detroit tonight. And then there's a Monday nighter as well between the Titans and the Miami Dolphins. We're starting Snoop Huntley this evening.

That broke over the weekend as well. I'll be at the microphone for Westwood One's coverage of both games in the studio tonight. So it's a double dip for me, actually a triple header because we've got overreaction Monday, Chris Brockman, you and I to record once this show is all over.

844-204-RICH number to dial. Always appreciative of those ringing us up the minute we start talking or if not before. Good to see you over there, Chris Brockman, sir. Good to see you. Hey, man, how's it going?

DJ Mikey Diaz and Deez Nuts. Good to see you. Good morning, Rich. T.J. Jefferson with the Metropolitan's lid on right now.

First pitch of that is about an hour away. We'll keep an eye on that throughout the entire course of our program. Good to see you, sir. Candles lit. Good to see you guys, too.

Candles lit. I was all about the Mets. And then you guys know I love Georgetown. This Matumbo news is crushing.

Well, we'll get your two cents on it and we'll do our best to talk about it later on in this program. But as always, we start with the National Football League around here, certainly during the season headline. The Baltimore Ravens have officially dug themselves out of their 0 and 2 hole.

Yeah. And it didn't take long last night to dig out of that hole after they got the Buffalo Bills off the field last night quickly, which, by the way, the Jacksonville Jaguars would love to have had that blueprint for even a split second on on Monday night. They don't have Derrick Henry. And and then and then the Ravens took the field, handed the ball off to Derrick Henry in their famous Wham play.

And they went from Wham to whoosh. And I I told this. You know.

Thought multiple times into this microphone over the almost almost 10 years we've been on the air, our 10 year anniversary is coming up next week. And nobody. Has the speed and the size of Derrick Henry, we all know that, but every single time I see him get through the line of scrimmage with a full head of steam and standing upright like Eric Dickerson in the Sunday Night Broadcast did a great job of popping that video up on the screen, that film up on the screen last night as Henry was careening his way to a 200 yard night, which he finished only one yard shy of. That I just hear the sound of wind whistling as he runs, and he must hear that. I imagine maybe through the ear hole of his helmet. If you drive on a freeway and have the window slightly open and you hear that noise whipping through.

The window that you have open just enough. That's what I imagine it's sounding as Derrick Henry goes on a long run, 87 yards. And what appeared to look like a flag football touchdown as well untouched and. Longest run in the history of the Baltimore Ravens. By the way, not a bad way for your first touch at home under the lights in front of your newfound fan base.

Not a bad way to start that one off. But it's only the third longest touchdown run in his career. I'm sorry, that's just funny. That just doesn't even make sense.

What is tech mobile? Sometimes facts just sound absurd saying them. Yeah.

But it's true. And you kind of when he does that to a team, you just feel like it's a wrap on the spot. Yeah, that game kind of felt over after.

But the bills are the bills, right? And and and we saw what they just did. And they were three and 0 for a reason.

It wasn't a fluke. We saw how they they they snapped the Jaguars in two. And and the Ravens just kept on pounding them and pounding them and pounding them.

And the reason why I feel like they have. Gotten out of their O2 hole, not just because they're now two and two. But defensively, they were all over. Josh Allen last night and it took a Superman type play to switch the momentum last night where he was just inches away from the boundary with a third of the Ravens defense chasing him. And he finds Khalil Shakir wide open and it took that to finally switch momentum just for a brief bit on the Ravens defense until they got too cute on offense and the Ravens defense was all over that play and that essentially ended the game that turnover. But they also, I think, have figured out what to do on offense. The run play from Henry that started this conversation was from the pistol formation. So, what that means is Lamar is just in semi shotgun and Henry is dotting the I that Lamar is helping form so Henry can get a nice head of steam and wham and whoosh and touchdown. But they also started figuring out, let's put Lamar under center and Patrick Ricard, a full on grown ass man full back in front of Derrick Henry and come at you with damn near 600 pounds of human. And then when they're not in, let's get Justice Hill as a change and then we'll play action and start playing off of all of that.

And we got two tight ends and we got Zay Flowers and Bateman will pop up every now and then and Aguilar will do his business and you could say that's less than and you could make a case that there are better receiver rooms. But in terms of getting the lead and being able to dictate, the Ravens have shown that they're figuring out how to use Derrick Henry and the offensive line is firing off better and the defense is doing its thing and Justin Tucker's not going to miss too often. And the Ravens reminded everybody why they were the one seed last year and eviscerating a Bills team that again was 3-0 for good reason. So Ravens got to feel better about themselves over the last two weeks.

Derrick Henry, you know, you could, if it wasn't for Saquon, the last two weeks from Henry would lead the league in rushing, by the way, and you've got a game at Cincinnati next. Two teams that started 0-2 and are digging themselves out of a hole in different manners. One who's done with that through four weeks in Cincinnati, boy, needing to hold serve in a huge divisional game and then next two games after that are must-see. Washington, which leads the NFC East, we'll talk about Jayden Daniels, and Tampa, which leads the NFC South. That's a Monday nighter at Tampa and then at Cleveland, which is a whole different story. So the Ravens still have some work to do, but they've dug out of the hole.

As for the Bills, I'm going to dig a hole and throw the film in it. You know, you could sit here and say they missed Dafont Diggs. Defensively, they just, they were not aggressive. You could see how things switched after halftime when they got aggressive with Lamar. They sacked him, got him 3-and-out, then they made a play, that Josh Allen play. So Allen is still superhuman Mandalorian type, and they just weren't aggressive enough on defense. And then the questions you have about their head coach and his decision-making and Sean McDermott, go for it on fourth down from your own 39 when the game's tied, but pun it when you're losing by a couple scores from the same exact situation from your own 39, and you pun it back, and then there was a fourth and two earlier where they should have went for it. You're not aggressive when you should be, and then you're aggressive when you shouldn't be, certainly on offense when things are changing and you get too cute with some dipsy-doo and you damn near get your quarterback hurt, and there's a turnover and that's an easy second guess because momentum did switch after that. And you just, you know, you wondered do they have enough depth at the receiver position? Keyon Coleman dropped one that would have been a huge one right before the first half, but then made some really nice back shoulder grabs. He's going to come on. And again, James Cook is really good.

I'm not concerned. I'm just going to, I'm going to dig a hole and throw the film into it for the Bills. That's one of those losses because you look at the rest of the AFC East, we'll see what the Dolphins look tonight with Snoop Huntley. The Jets had a chance to win a third game in a row, but offensively it just looked dreadful for them and they've got the Vikings next who are 4-0 with a huge win in Green Bay. And you've got the Jets and the Vikings next is what I was saying. And then you got Houston next for the Bills and then they're at the Jets on a Monday night. That's for the Bills.

So I'm going to take the tape and throw it. Another game to tell you about, personally witnessed this one, was in SoFi for the game in which Jim Harbaugh, who just needed 12 quarters to remake the Chargers in his own Smash Mouth image. Two wins and a loss, but you could see what they were doing in Justin Herbert's gimpy. And that said, they had a Chiefs team in their house, a calling card contest for the Chargers to say all the nonsense we've lost five in a row and eight of ten against the Chiefs.

But it's a new world now and it's our house, which I know is what the other, the other SoFi team's name, you know, does. And the Chiefs come in and the Chargers three and out them and they moved down the field and scored. Ladidi with a gorgeous grab in the end zone.

Gorgeous. And they're up. And then the next play, next series for the Chiefs, interception, an overthrow of a wide open Kelsey who had an excellent game yesterday compared to his first three games for sure. And the most disastrous interception I think of Mahomes' career, because you can't say I haven't seen every interception. And I know some might've occurred in a playoff that, that, that was difficult for them to come back from, but Mahomes trying to make a tackle connects with the knee of his best wide receiver and Rashee Rice is going to be done for the year folks. It looked ugly. It was particularly ugly and the Chargers wind up going up on the Chiefs in this game by two scores.

And then the Chiefs won it anyway. I'm telling you guys, this may be a team that you think can get got because now Rice is out and Hollywood Brown was supposed to be additive for Rashee Rice is not walking through that door anytime soon. And Isaiah Pacheco is now out. For a few more weeks.

For a few more weeks. And Kelsey looked less than Kelsey through the first three weeks and so on and so on and so on. But the Chiefs are back to back Super Bowl champs for a reason. 15 has a lot to do with it. 87, obviously. And 95, Chris Jones has a lot to do with it as well.

Sure. But so does the rest of that team that you might need a flip chart or a program to, to know their names, but they just make plays and this kid Xavier Worthy, I mean, for 25 minutes, the Chargers were whipping the Chiefs, whipping them. And then Mahomes goes up top one play to Xavier Worthy touchdown.

And you just got the sense in the building. This thing was a wrap. And sure enough, after falling down 10 nothing, the Chiefs score 17 unanswered and walk out of the building with a win and their 4-0 and they're now two and a half up on the Chargers and two up on everybody else.

And discount them at your peril. Again. Well, they don't have their receivers. They don't have a running back. Kareem Hunt now strolls in and gets 69 yards rushing. I know Carson Steele put one on the ground.

That's not great. And then sort of got quasi-benched. I don't know if he got quasi-benched or it's just as soon as I heard Kareem Hunt was coming back, that's it. I mean, he knows the offense.

They know him. You saw what he did last year in Cleveland. I mean, this is going to be his gig until Pacheco comes back.

Personally, I saw that. That's why I try to get him in every damn fantasy league I'm in. And, you know, they took Dobbins out defensively.

He averaged 2.3 yards a carry. Defensively, they are just better than you. I mean, I know that's just saying.

This just did. The two-time defending champions chiefs are just better than you. Yeah. Four times now. And every single time they're like, well, you know, if Isaiah Likley only had a smaller foot or, well, you know, Cincinnati got a couple breaks here and there, flag here, flag there. And, well, you know, Atlanta got a flag that should have, didn't get a flag that they should have gotten. And, well, I mean, the Chargers.

I mean, you can well that all they want, but that does matter. They've definitely not looked as good and crisp as they have in years past. And Chris pointed out this morning, they could really be 0-4. And repeat. Rinse. And repeat. It's also September.

Rinse and repeat. You think they're the best team in the AFC still? They don't look it. Right.

But when it comes down to it, they got the baddest man walking, man. Yeah, it's year either. Oh, Mahomes doesn't look that good either, guys. No, it's year either. As a matter of fact, it's what, I mean, I can give you the stats that it's the first time in, you know, in his career X, Y, and Z pass a rating and he hasn't done this and he hasn't done that.

And then I look up. They're 4-0. And I'm just not going to take the cheese. Last year it was just, they looked terrible. They got beat in Kansas City on Christmas day by the Raiders, which was in everybody's mind, a full on confirmation of the thought that the Chiefs were going to get got. That solidified it in everybody's mind. The Raiders and their interim coach coming into their building on Christmas day for the whole country to watch. And they lost.

Full on confirmation. They're going to get out. They're not going to repeat.

See you later. They're yesterday's news. Next up for the Chiefs without Rasheed Rice.

I don't know. You know, it's kind of crazy. You take a look around the league and say, who can they get for Rasheed Rice by the end of October? And as they now take on New Orleans on a Monday night before a buy and then at San Francisco and then right there, right before the trade deadline, they're going to stare across the field at Devante Adams, who's going to be like, does he send up a flare?

What do you think? But it would take. Because you think he's like, hey, I mean, literally how it would freeze over. I was about to say it would take a very warm place to freeze over for those teams to match. But a guy who was in that building yesterday, Amari Cooper, could get got for real inexpensive.

You take a look at his salary and what it would be. That said, you know, the next four aren't easy. Home for New Orleans at San Francisco, at Vegas, where they won the Super Bowl, home for Tampa on a Monday night. And then there's Denver, which has one of the best defenses in the National Football League. And come at me on that one. At Buffalo, it's not easy. We'll see. Denver's defense, huh?

But right now, Minnesota, Seattle and Kansas City are your last remaining undefeated teams. Yeah, nobody had that. So I saw it with my own two eyes.

They didn't look crisp. That Rasheed Rice moment getting carted off was sickening. It just gave you a pit in your stomach to see him carted off and seeing how the Chiefs were reacting to it and the quarterback being the one who connected with him, the way that it happened. Right. So, you know, you think that that dollar down 10, they see that happening. And it was the Chargers day. Not so much. At your peril, discount them at your peril. Is that I'm not going to say anything about the Chiefs here.

Is that a weird kind of like, well, Chargers charge it again? No, no, I'm just you just don't know if they're there. And you see Justin Herbert. Herbert might be looking around right now and saying, I used to have 350 yards passing and running around and and everything like that. And and right now it's a tough buy in to to just run it and and not have the high flyers and Keenan Allen over there and have Mike Williams over there. I also saw with my own two eyes his his ankle wrapped.

It looked as thick as his shin. Yeah. So he's not there yet. They're on a buy. Boy, the good news is he got through the game.

They're on a buy. Let him take off. And then this one at Denver guys. Denver is coming after you. Hopefully he's going to be spry because Denver can hit you. Ask Baker. Ask Aaron Rogers.

Wow. And an interesting Monday night or at Arizona. Home for New Orleans at Cleveland.

I'm not saying that, you know, they're turning into a pumpkin. They're two and two, which I think they would have signed for before the beginning of the season. Two and two. But man, they had the Chiefs down 10 in their house dealing with the loss of their.

Best wide receiver and the Chiefs just like. Flicked it right off. What was the crowd like?

The usual 6040. At one point you heard the you know. The chop chance. You can't tell because the Chargers are always screaming for people to make noise so you have no idea. There was a lot of red in that stadium. No, I mean, listen, the Chiefs are everywhere. Yeah, they're feeling it. 844-204 rich number to dial here on the program when we come back. It looks like one of those was handed out by Washington commanders head coach Dan Quinn after the commanders dropped 40 on the Arizona Cardinals which used to employ the man who coordinated the offense that dropped 40. Get it. We said last night man we said it's great when you count on others and they count on you.

That way victory is produced by everybody. All right. And that's what tonight was man.

Fast physical. We said anybody anywhere any mother time. So we did what we came to do. All right. So there'll be a number of game balls that will be issued out I'm sure tomorrow. But there's one month ain't leaving this city without one. It was eight eight.

We got seven six by by day. Yeah. They're feeling it right now man. Fun fun bandwagon to jump on right now. T.J. in your team. You want a new team. That's the one. I'm not going to jump on that one. Funny.

That's fun. If anyone needs a new team you need a new team. Now they're rebuilding.

He's fine. Yeah. You you guys think you have a chance to win every year. Let's start that jump again. Remember we were all in. We didn't do anything all offseason. So nobody thought we were Super Bowl contenders. Let's stop. This is just stopping. At one point we will address his coat of armor he's put on the Cowboys.

There's no coat of armor. It's back on the Rich Eisen show radio network. I'm sitting at the Rich Eisen show desk furnished by Granger with supplies and solutions for every industry.

Granger has the right product for you. Call click ranger dot com or just stop by our show last week ended with T.J. giving us his top five one-hit wonders of all time in sports, which is why whenever a rookie does something significant. We're always asking what next. How do we follow it up?

How do we keep it going? Certainly in the National Football League, which Jerry Glanville once famously said with an NFL microphone. Attached to his person. Stands for not for long. And last week when Jayden Daniels second overall selection in the draft went 21 of 23.

And a. An accuracy percentage that sounded like the FM station that was airing the commanders game 91.2. It's like, OK, and he dropped that dime to Terry McClure and we talked about all week long last week to end the game in Cincinnati with 210 to go. We're like, OK, let's see what you do next. And when you play on the road on Monday Night Football and then have to go all the way across the country and play the next Sunday, you're not supposed to do anything significant.

It's tough. But it does appear that the commanders have a quarterback who doesn't know what he shouldn't be doing. Which is, again, the exact type of rookie you want to have, certainly at the most important position to strike it rich. With a rookie. And Jayden Daniels, not his best game. Not his best game because he actually threw an interception and. Had four incompletions for four. I mean, that's double the number of incompletions he had on Monday night in Cincinnati. All right. Is he regression?

I guess, I don't know. Only one touchdown pass and one on the ground trade him to get him out the division and he turned it over, guys. That's it.

Twenty six to thirty to thirty three. Two touchdowns on it for. And you know.

The commanders. Defense, too, is beginning to. Get better.

You know what? You get better on defense when you're not on the field as much to. Because the commanders just keep chewing up clock and chewing up ground in the end, a good run game. You know keeps the clock going. Completions first down right when the ball doesn't hit the ground, the clock keeps going. And the forty two points, the most points the commanders have posted in eight years. And we see the stat and you'll hear it multiple times on this show today that is most wild. That they have more scoring drives and incompletions at this point through four games.

It's a video game. But the reason here's the stat that I want to give you. Is what this kid is doing. What this kid is doing is unbelievable with his completion percentage. Because accuracy is everything.

You hear that all the time. It's the processing. But the processing can lead to accuracy.

Or you can process and you're not accurate enough. That leads to incompletions and turnovers. And also if you put the ball where your guy can catch it, he can turn upfield and get more yards.

I mean it just leads to so much. And you're seeing about how he's the first rookie to have this completion percentage in his first four games. But in terms of the highest completion percentage in any four games.

In any four game span. Forget about that he's a rookie and he started with his first four games. With his completion percentage.

Currently sitting at eighty two point one. But forget about he's a rookie and it's his first four games as a rookie. Highest completion percentage in any four game span in the NFL since nineteen fifty with at least one hundred attempts. He sits atop that list above Peyton Manning, Peyton, Peyton, Drew Brees, Tom Brady and Kurt Warner over any four game span of their careers. That's insanity. That's how Jayden Daniels has come out of the box for the Washington commanders.

And has just continued to get better every game. And so the question is, is again, how long can you sustain it? And of course, let's see if the kid wants to spike the football just four games in.

As some kids might be prone to do. This is how he responded to the question of has he served notice on the league. Do you think you've made a statement to the league that you guys are for real? I mean, I think that's what for people to determine for us is how can we get better each and every game? Obviously, it's early in the season, so we'll have to finish the year. But I mean, I can't put anything on it, but I know the team to look at us and say, hey, those guys play hard. Great answer. I'll answer it. I think you're for real.

I lone wolfed him on game day morning yesterday. I think it. Yeah, I picked them this week too. How do you think they're going to play at home against Cleveland? They're going to they're going to destroy them. Gosh, I cannot wait to see them at Baltimore.

That is going to be great. That defense against a rookie who might. It might be a rookie day for him again.

CJ Stroud was last year's unicorn. He lost the game on the road in Carolina as well. Three of the next four at home. Let's see if FedEx or whatever they're calling it now is is going to have a home field advantage. At the Giants, Justin Fields will, barring injury, be the starter in week 10 for Pittsburgh because Justin Fields had his best game as a starting quarterback yesterday. It resulted in a loss.

Division games. I can't wait to see what these guys do next. And you've I've never said that about Washington as the old R word, the WFT words or the current commanders.

I've never said that. We're 10 years old. I don't remember the last time I'm like I can't wait to see.

I guess maybe when Alex Smith was going on a run. Can't wait to see what they're going to do next. Even then, we were wondering if that was sustainable. This kid is the thing.

He is the real effing deal. You could tell. And they're in first place and they're they are through four weeks.

I test numbers. The best team in the NFC East. Period. Call it as you see it.

Hands down. Coaching. Consistency.

The kid. Defense. Offense. I don't even know about the punting unit because we don't see them. We know the kicker can do it because that's how they beat the Giants. Long ago, when Jayden Daniels had trouble finding the end zone. That was week two. Slight pushback. Their three wins are against three one win teams. Understood. And their one loss is one of the best teams in the conference.

Got it? Kind of cupcake defense. Week one was one. They've now won three in a row. They've got the momentum. And clearly this could be an overreaction that we're discussing on our podcast later on. I'm calling it as I see it. Even though I'm super into it too. I think Jayden Daniels is awesome.

I threw this out on Twitter yesterday. Which quarterbacks in the league right now would you rather have than Jayden Daniels? Okay.

I would rather... I think it's a very small list. Lamar, Allen, Burrow.

Right now? Burrow's turned it on the last three games, sir. They have one win. And Stroud would be in that mix? Mahomes, obviously. Mahomes. That's about it.

I'm going to... I mean, Darnold is amazing. But I understand what you're saying there. I mean, you're talking about long term as well, maybe? You're talking as of right now at 938 today is what you're saying. Which quarterbacks would you rather have as your franchise QB than Jayden Daniels?

The list is very small. That's why I said it looks like the commanders have hit the jackpot at the quarterback draft. And that's why guys were saying before the draft, like Lewis Riddick and Dan Orlovsky, they would take him number one. Again, and we're still getting to see the Bears. Keenan Allen finally got back on the field. DJ Moore sitting by himself. Did you see that? He looks very frustrated.

There's something up there. Even though he caught a touchdown. I know. DeAndre Swift finally started running the ball. They had a very good run game against the Rams yesterday. That was a game they needed to win, could have won. And they did it right.

It was very impressive. Right. And but it still doesn't look consistent. Right.

But it was better. And it doesn't it doesn't look like we got a little bit of a sense of what the Bears can do. You're already seeing that from the commanders and Jayden Daniels.

And it's just only going to get better. I also think Cliff Kingsbury deserves a lot of credit here. And that the big difference between the Bears and the commanders is an offensive coordinator knows what he's doing. Ask any Bears fan.

They hate Shane Waldron, man. They do not like his offense that is not letting Caleb showcase. Granted, Washington's line is a little bit better, which is amazing.

You're saying that about Washington's line ever. But coaching, I think, has a big lot to do with it. That's why I'm I'm I'm very bullish on the next 13 games. The Washington commanders agree if they stay healthy.

Agree. They can win this division 100 percent. They can win the NFC East.

Period. They are looking the best. They look the best. They played the best.

They've been consistent and they've got the best quarterback play. I said that. Let's take a break. Eight four four two or four rich numbered doll here on the program, one of the biggest shocking news stories of the weekend.

That's OReillyAuto.com slash E-I-S-E-N O-O-O-Reilly Auto Parts. Back here on the Rich Eisen show. So there's so much to discuss today. It's crazy. First pitch coming up for the Metropolitans in 17 minutes. Who's who's playing? I mean, who's pitching? Who is pitching? You don't even know this?

How do you not know this? What's going on? I mean, it's not like the Cowboys are occupying your time. Taylor McGill, McGill, McGill against Schwellenbacher.

OK, Schwellenbach. I wasn't sure if it was going to be him or Severino. I can't wait to see what Game 2 looks like. If I win Game 1, here's what I'm doing. If I own the Mets or the Braves, here's what I would do. I would have minor leaguers from my system in a hotel room nearby and I would call every last one of them up if I could. And I'd throw them out there or I'd find out how many players I could play a position players I can have pitch. I do that too because I've made the playoffs.

I don't care about the second game at all. I'm not spending a single person's energy or arm or bat or leg or putting anybody in harm's way of an errant pitch like Anthony Rizzo got hit over the weekend with it. Now he's out until maybe the LCS if the Yankees are lucky to get that far.

You know, I don't want to put anything like that. And then I will have a private jet to take every single starter I do have and send them to my next to either San Diego or Milwaukee before Game 2 is even starting. It's crazy, man. And the Diamondbacks have to hope one team sweeps the other. Good luck.

Absolutely good luck. Tell you what, though, this is this is exciting because we shouldn't be here. We should not be here.

Not the way the season started. Well, again, I wish you good luck, sir. We'll see what happens throughout the day. Back on the Rich Eisen Show. Terzo in Iowa. You're here on the Rich Eisen Show. What's up, Terzo?

Hey, what's up, guys? Hey, Rich, man, like it has been a crazy start to the season. I haven't been able to be on the right side of a bet for any NFL game. And it's and it's been it's been kind of crazy because it seems like when you feel like you have a good read on a team, they just go and get beat up. And I didn't expect, you know, the bills to get manhandled that way. But it's also not shocking because Baltimore is a really good team. Yeah. Well, I'm with you, you know. So are you saying you you put some hard earned legal dollars on the Buffalo Bills last night?

Is that what I'm trying to put your two points together here, Terzo? There might there might have been a sprinkling of the infield if you kind of got that way, you know, but at least your Niners got your Niners looked healthier. They took care of a lesser opponent as they should have. Now come the one win Arizona Cardinals before you've got a short week visit to Seattle and then Kansas City, Dallas before the bye. And hopefully, you know, we're hearing McCaffrey can come back by November and and we'll see what happens for your team. But at least you're you're you're two and two and not one and three having lost to New England.

There would be Defcon, you know, one moment there for sure. Yeah, that would have been that would have been tough. But it was good seeing McCaffrey on the sideline back from Germany. And I can't speak so highly of third in Juwan, man. He has just come out and really stepped up for this team.

And prior to and thanks to the call Terzo, prior to Derrick Henry doing his thing, Jordan Mason led the league in rushing. And I just want Jordan Mason to continue doing that because I want to see who the first member of our profession will be and saying McCaffrey is just a product of the system. I can't wait to see who would take that cheese. You want to wait about three hours? Okay. For overreaction Monday. Good Lord.

That's what that show is about. And I and I like annoying Niner fans. Very good. But the Niners are I'm not concerned about them. We've got Trent Williams on the show tomorrow.

So can't wait to talk with him. Get a nice Niner update. They should be after beating Arizona, they should be three and two going into Seattle on that short week. I just hope for their sake they're healthy.

That's all. Kansas City and Dallas after that before a buy at Tampa and then Seattle to wrap it up at Green Bay at Buffalo. They're going to have a gauntlet in front of them. That is going to be a fun next two months to see for your defending NFC champs. And again, they are expecting week ten at Tampa to feature Christian McCaffrey once again. That is the expectation level post buy.

And again, I would say discount them at your peril as well. Because Purdy's playing better this year than last. That's for sure. We'll see how healthy Fred Warner is. That's that's a question. Purdy's balling.

He looks good. No doubt about it. Now then game time tickets. Get that app on your phone, by the way, in case you're confused. If I hopefully if I'm speaking to anybody out there who is somebody who doesn't know what a phone app is because I heard that over the weekend that who knows what a phone app is. What? Yeah.

I shouldn't even be mentioning this. At any rate, game time tickets is ready for you to put the app on your phone and open it up and start buying tickets to any event in your area. We use it all the time. Susie and I use it all the time. She took Xander to a concert recently. We're going to be using it nonstop whenever we want to take the kids to any college football game in our area as well.

And they're going to get really intense, as you know, with two teams in the Big Ten here in town. Anyway, we love using it. The all in pricing feature is awesome. Shows you the total upfront. No surprise fees to check out the seat views. You get a panoramic view from your seat in the app before you buy.

We love using it. We don't unfortunately have use of our promo code anymore, but that's good. Maybe you can use my code rich and get twenty dollars off your first purchase. Download the game time app. Create an account and take the guesswork out of buying tickets with game time.

Terms apply. Visit GameTime.co for restrictions. Again, create an account. Redeem my code. R I C H. You get twenty dollars off. Download game time today. What time is it? Game time.

2019. New York Knicks could not get Kevin Durant to even give him a sniff. Remember Kyrie Irving said, I, from New Jersey, I'm a Nets guy.

Remember that? Him strolling across the Brooklyn Bridge, remembering all those times when he was rooting for those crazy one-off win games in the Brendan Byrne Arena Nets. Honestly, I'm from Staten Island. I don't know too many New Jersey net fans, but we found one in Kyrie who said, no thanks, Knicks. Knicks couldn't get a single. They couldn't attract flies.

They couldn't do anything. But one free agent leaving New Orleans said, I'll come. His name was Julius Randall. And what Julius Randall did for the Knicks was special because there weren't a lot of guys around and it was, you know, fighting through the covid years. And what he did to take the most of his opportunity in New York is what Frank Sinatra sings about with New York and what he did for Knicks fans to start to get them loving the team again and forgetting about their schmecky owner throwing Charles Oakley in jail for the night.

It certainly got my attention. And he started getting a heartbeat back in that arena and is truly one of a lot of people who I know favorite Knicks in recent memory because he came when nobody else was considering it and then took the most of his opportunity and the Knicks getting better and better and better and getting more and more people to even consider them. You have to thank Julius Randall quite a bit for that, which is why it's tough for a lot of Knicks fans to say goodbye to him. But the guy that they're getting, we're biased about him around here. Kid from New Jersey went to Kentucky.

Big smile, big heart, big game. Carl Anthony Towns is apparently on the verge of becoming a Knick with Julius Randall and the big ragoo Dante DiVincenzo going to Minnesota. And there's a lot of moving parts here because of first aprons and second aprons and how much money you can take on and all that stuff. But I would expect this thing to get done and through. And it is clear that the Knick fans that are having a tough time saying goodbye to Julius Randall, I would just tell them with the Celtics doing what they just did and what the Sixers did with PG-13 coming to Philadelphia and with the Bucks feeling better about themselves having a full season with Doc Rivers being their coach and having game time there with Giannis and so on and so forth about this Eastern Conference. It is time, with all due respect, everybody in New York to F their feelings.

We've reached that point. Okay. And in terms of, well, you know, what about the Nova Knicks? You got McCall Bridges too. So he replaces the loss of Dante and I believe with Carl Anthony Towns and Brunson and Bridges and OG Ananobi.

Okay. This is a much better team than when it was Randall and R.J. Barrett and IQ trying to figure out their way together. And it'll take some time for it all to mesh.

But this is a much better team and one that can do battle with many of the teams I just mentioned. I don't know if anybody's going to be better than the Celtics if they do again what they did last year. But this kid from New Jersey coming into town, I love him. And I think Knicks fans are going to fall in love with him too. Just like Timberwolves fans. Well, they'll like Randall and they'll like Dante DiVincenzo.

But I love this trade for the Knicks. I am very excited and I am all the way back in. I am all the way back in. Thanks to Brunson and this front office that just is not resting. They're just going to keep on keeping on.

Holy cow. What a bold maneuver this is. And Laker fans are sitting out here going what are we doing? Knicks front office. Kudos.

And to Julius Randall, thank you for the time in New York. I love it. Well, the Lakers signed two new trainers. I saw that. Yeah. They're in good shape.

I saw it. But this is I love the move. And I understand it's tough for people who fell in love with Julius Randall to say goodbye. But I don't think that Knicks team bringing it back would have is better than what what I think you're going to be able to see on the court against the Celtics. If if Karl-Anthony Towns. I mean, they needed a big man to a Mitchell Robinson still there, too. I don't know if they might trade him to even get any better.

If he all right right now. Guys, I think the biggest part of this move is cat shooting ability. Obviously, he's one of the best shooting big man's in the league.

So the spacing there is going to create some more driving lanes. By the way, Josh Harper Brunson. Josh Hart may have 19 offensive rebounds in his first game. I mean, Hart is going to have a free rein here, guys. So you're going to have the same question marks when it comes to the playoff time.

What is rotation going to be? Can this team stay healthy with the amount of minutes the starters normally play offense? I just think it's better. I think they're a better team.

They got the third best odds now for the title, like the shifted a lot with this trade. So it's going to change your identity a little. Randall, it was kind of seemed to me like the heart and the toughness. I know. Let me just say this in a few seconds.

I have left playing golf with Karl-Anthony Towns. There wasn't a whiff of a hint of any of this. Yeah, I mean, his tweet of just the dot, dot, dot all. He had no like he'd even not even in a split second that it sound like something like this was on the on the come. YouTube or wherever you listen.
