That's the headline. The Rich Eisen Show with guest host Brian Weber. OMG. Live from the Rich Eisen Show studio in Los Angeles.

Oh, my gosh. And now, sitting in for Rich, here's Brian Weber. Welcome to the program. Always an honor to sit in for Rich.

And the guys do my best to support and not destroy his stellar brand. Hope you had a fabulous Christmas. Today is Tuesday. In the interest of providing a public service, today is Tuesday. Thankfully, no simulcast for yours truly.

We are not streaming on the phenomenal Emmy nominated Roku channel. So I have notes all over my studio and one of them directly in front of me says, this is Tuesday. It's very easy to get discombobulated, even if you're among the folks who are working today, like your humble host. So I think we're all going through football withdrawals. Three more games yesterday.

All were entertaining. Even what seemingly was going to be a blowout applied by the Eagles to the Giants. Then everything changed as Tommy Cutlets proved to be mortal. So Rod Taylor came into the game. And don't you know that was a one score game down to the final play as Taylor was picked off in the end zone. We'll go through all the games. Obviously, we're poised to jump right in with what I told you yesterday, and I was not cranking up the hype machine, but I was following the wisdom of the football crowds, billing the showdown between the Niners and Ravens as the game of the year turned out to be the worst game of Brock Purdy's career. Four picks. I'll give you my take away strong opinions moving forward about both teams.

Plus, as a veteran of working holidays, specifically Christmas, most years I did not have the benefit of actual NFL games to dissect the fallout from. And let me whisper this because I'm a fill-in guy. Brian Weber in for Rich Eisen. Hop aboard at 844-204-7424 with the caveat on the big word Tuesday.

Phone calls are taken selectively. Your best way to get involved is to tweet at me. B.W. Weber. Weber with two B's. I love the NBA.

Let me whisper this. As much as football. So, Christmas was always my favorite holiday to fill in because you'd have wall-to-wall hoops.

Five more games yesterday. I would be a fool to touch the NBA at the start of the program. We'll do just a smidge to wrap up this hour. And then looking ahead, hopefully by now, if you've endured me in the past or you find it relatively entertaining, either way, I just want you to have an opinion. React to me. I don't bludgeon you with guests. We're wide open the first hour of the program.

Predominately because I believe, delusionally, I'm just that fascinating. Coming up, hour number two, 1.20 Eastern Time. We will talk NBA based on the five games we saw yesterday. Last night, Luka went off 50 points and he didn't need Kyrie.

Still out with the heel injury as the Suns just can't figure out how to put their big three together and Bradley Beal unavailable last night. We'll take you across professional hoops with Jonathan von Tobel, NBA analyst for V-Sin and then merely one more guest that comes in the final hour of the program, 2.20 Eastern Time, a good friend of mine, long time NFL journalist, now serving as an NFL insider for the 33rd team media platform, that is Jason Cole. And when we have that conversation with Jason, we will venture into NBA thoughts as well, connecting it to the NFL from this standpoint. In the NBA, we get very passionate about the MVP award.

In fact, yesterday, because I wanted to get just a little bit of basketball into what was a football extravaganza, I was making the early season argument that Joel Embiid, if you just look at the numbers, although you are what you consistently do, unfortunately for Embiid, it's an inability to stay healthy, didn't play yesterday in that game against the Heat out with the ankle injury, no Jimmy Butler as well because of the calf issue, but Embiid having a better start to this season statistically than last year when he won the MVP. So in the NBA, we talk MVP season round. In the NFL, we only, and it makes sense because, and I don't want to go down cliche road too early in the program, but you know it by now, we saw it again last night. The very definition of the National Football League is a week to week league. So a month ago, if we were talking about, say Dak Prescott emerging and the numbers certainly backed up his MVP resume, things have changed radically because the Cowboys had to go back on the road. They were exposed last week in Buffalo and they did not show up in a critical situation defensively again over the weekend. Remember Dallas leads the league in penalties.

They had that critical face mask on what proved to be the game-winning drive as Miami's field goal kicker, don't call me Larry, Jason Sanders nailed his fifth field goal to win it, but they got another chunk of yardage because Dallas couldn't keep their hands off a face mask and ended that game with a half dozen penalties solidifying the category that you don't want to be number one in, number one in penalties. So Dak has seen his MVP claim dip over the last two weeks and I don't think he's in the top three anymore because heading into last night's game, it was really a referendum on are you a Lamar Jackson supporter or are you riding with the Niners and I picked the collective there rather than Brock Purdy or Christian McCaffrey because I think you have to put them together. As we saw last night, Brock Purdy was not ready for prime time. So let's have a thought exercise here and I am not second guessing Purdy. I realize the body of work is phenomenal but we're going to judge you not only based on recency bias, what we saw most recently last night, an absolute debacle, but Purdy in the two most significant games of his career has first been unable to complete the game.

I'm not blaming him for getting hurt but he wasn't able to be a factor on the road in Philly last year in the NFC title game as he had his elbow virtually ripped off his body and last night he was atrocious. So let me pose this question to you at 844-204-7424. I'm Brian Weber in for Rich Eisen. We can have a conversation on social media if you prefer to lurk in the shadows.

That is BW Weber, Weber with two b's. What if Lamar Jackson had thrown four interceptions last night? What would the conversation sound like? Well I think a lot of you would point out that maybe there was a reason nobody else offered him a contract when he was a restricted free agent in the offseason which is still mind-boggling to me. Now I know the pushback and I'm not doing collective bargaining agreement audio. It's way too tedious, way too boring. So some of you as I was filling in for Rich and other shows throughout the summer were telling me on social media well no one's going to extend an offer sheet to Lamar because they know the Ravens are going to match.

It's a waste of their time and I was saying are you out of your mind? How do you know the Ravens are going to match and you'll only know if you actually submit the document. You literally have nothing to lose and how many teams around the league did not have even a minimum amount of interest in Lamar Jackson sufficient enough to even put his name on an offer sheet.

It was an absolute joke to me. Lamar Jackson is one of the five best players in the NFL. I realize he is underachieved in the playoffs.

That is a fair analysis. He'll have a chance to change that outlook when we get to the postseason. With Baltimore now in position to be the top seed and they can enhance that in the AFC with another monumental game.

Whoever the NFL script writers are and I'm here in Southern California I don't think they went out on strike when you had the rest of the Writers Guild walking the picket line because the NFL content creation factory has been absolutely sensational this year. With all these dudes we never thought would play quarterback can I give you Joe Flacco as a primary example but right now coming off the game that we thought could be a potential Super Bowl preview and I still think there's a strong probability that's the case. Now we have Baltimore and Miami coming up this weekend in Maryland.

Ravens win that they virtually lock up the top seed in the AFC meaning the road to the Super Bowl in Vegas comes through Baltimore. So I am a Lamar Jackson fan. For years I did college football shows for the late great NBC Sports Radio from this very studio that I'm bellowing into a microphone in. I saw a ton of Lamar playing in Louisville and was blown away by his skill set. I understood those who wondered about the transition to the NFL. Fair to have a conversation but I thought it was absolutely delusional to follow the opinion of dinosaurs like Bill Polian saying well he may have to play wide receiver or tight end.

Are you kidding me? Did you watch him last night? Beyond the precision beyond the arm strength how about that scramble turning virtually nothing into something in a high leverage situation.

I realize he had the funky moment where he got tripped by the umpire and got ticketed for the safety with intentional grounding the call in the end zone. Okay he's mortal but if you believed and I thought Christian McCaffrey deserved more MVP consideration than Brock Purdy and I think that was born out last night but if you believed that game was going to settle head to head because we love head to head more than anything else in all of sports. Who is the premier quarterback Lamar Jackson or Brock Purdy? I don't think we have to waste our time with that conversation anymore. Now in fairness a couple of the picks for Purdy came on batted balls still they're going to go down as INTs and when you metaphorically wet the bed that profoundly it's time to have the larger conversation as to why Brock Purdy was the final player selected in the draft.

We get caught up on Mr. Irrelevant primarily because it's a cool moniker there were reasons why his name was not called until the final pick in the final round. He has limitations and we saw it last night I thought he was pressing to a degree now I don't break down the all 22. I'm not pretending that I've been in a coach's room in the NFL other than to grab a Diet Coke at the Raider facility 30 years ago I'm not that old 25 years ago when I covered them as a local broadcaster in the San Francisco Bay Area. Purdy was not ready for the moment now it doesn't mean it's over doesn't mean he won't have a chance to bounce back but the question is mentally how do you recover from that? Now that will be a reflection of if you're a Purdy supporter that will tell me and you and everybody else he's the real deal because we've seen if you want to be a Purdy apologist and Aikman mentioned it on the broadcast we've seen guys like Brett Favre have horrific performances and then bounce back within the framework of that same game in the second half didn't happen for Purdy because I don't think he's in the same conversation at all as someone like Brett Favre but if you believe in Purdy and I'm not completely abandoning him I've watched him play at a high level but I thought the real way to come up with context was to simply point out how much talent he had around him and it felt like for whatever reason maybe Kyle Shanahan thought he could exploit Baltimore secondary or if you want to get a little bit more personality driven maybe Shanahan was trying to demonstrate with the whole world watching that Purdy could deliver in the most meaningful game in the regular season of his career. Well how'd that work out and I was surprised we didn't see a lot more Christian McCaffrey early especially as the picks kept piling up not one not two not three not four in the end Sam Darnold had a cameo got the Niners in the end zone in garbage time they had the alibi of saying that Purdy had the shoulder stinger but after the game Brock says he's just fine. I'm Brian Weber in for Rich Eisen you want to chime in 844-204-7424 you can tweet at me B.W. Weber Weber with two B's in less than 15 minutes we talk about the teams that met up in the Super Bowl last year is it time finally for many of you to join me I know the audience is always changing and hopefully you had something more appealing to do than listening to me on Christmas Day yesterday but even prior even prior to kickoff in that game which was absolutely bizarre between the Raiders and the Chiefs I was providing you with all the reasons to doubt Kansas City leading the league in drops Mahomes not nearly as efficient as he's been in the past Kelsey going through with I think the whole world watching now based on whom he's dating some real struggles and a Kansas City defense led by Chris Jones after he came back from the holdout that got him virtually nothing financially that was carrying this team they got obliterated by the Raiders and it wasn't even Josh Jacobs he couldn't go Zamir White was running like he was Marcus Allen Aidan O'Connell did not complete a pass after the first quarter and the Raiders still pounded Kansas City so we'll talk about where the Chiefs go from here and a similar scenario for the Eagles way too sloppy even though they won the game and are in the mix now to be the top seed in the NFC you got the Niners Philly and Detroit all 11-4 things will sort themselves out with the Niners owning the significant tie breaks especially when you consider how they played head to head there and San Francisco with a chance to get healthy and beat up on a terrible Washington team this weekend but as we head back to what this means for Brock Purdy and remember we're not talking about arm wrestling it's not one-on-one basketball it's a team structure I just think and I was saying it heading into the season and I told John Thanksgiving filling in for Rich I needed to see more understanding the numbers were outrageously positive and glittering in just about every category but I thought he was exposed to a degree during the losing streak when he didn't have all of those pro bowlers around him I'm not saying Brock Purdy is solely the byproduct of having the ability to throw to kiddo and they had that big pass play better than 50 yards as it looked like San Francisco was going to set the tone at the outset and then what do you know Purdy picked off in the end zone in that red zone opportunity on the opening drive foreshadowing his hideous night with the four INTs but I think at this point we have seen repeatedly that Kyle Shanahan can point just about anybody into his offense do I have to go through the CJ Beathard Nick Mullins honor roll and they'll have a degree of success now I am not taking away all that Brock Purdy has achieved but for everybody and maybe I'm being myopic because as I mentioned I used to work in radio and TV in the San Francisco Bay Area was very lucky to get a job almost directly out of college in Northern California I still have a ton of friends who are Niner fans and I know people cover the team as members of the media and I was hearing things like Brock Purdy is the best quarterback the Niners have had had since Steve Young and I was saying okay I can understand the argument in the abstract but I was around when Jeff Garcia played at a fairly high level how about Alex Smith how about Colin Kaepernick so the Purdy hysteria to me was irrational and some of it was human nature we love the story and there was a lot to like but that last night was an opportunity for Purdy to make a statement instead he did anything but in fact it was the Ravens and I was mentioning the line yesterday I'm not a huge sports investing wink wink nudge nudge person when I start getting compensated for it oh man you'll be in the sports book with B-web I'll be giving you my lock of the millennium but early on the line was San Francisco minus five and a half that number got driven up to nearly a full touchdown Ravens clearly disrespect and remember that's all a byproduct of what the public believes and the book makers want to have the line aligned properly that they can lay off money 50% either way so they don't get burned but overall even if Purdy had had less of a absolutely abysmal performance let's just say he was mortal which is what I'm talking about right now I'm going to have to settle with two picks Ravens to me were clearly the better team it was 16-12 at the half should have been a much larger lead but Baltimore had to settle for those field goals and you know they're going to make them with Justin Tucker Mr. Automatic the defense dictated the terms and remember with the Ravens now poised as I mentioned up at home against Miami this weekend a 12-3 Baltimore team has had the lead at the two-minute warning in each of their three losses this team could be undefeated and last night in my mind they showed clear separation between the team that we all thought was the team to beat across the NFL unless you're of the mindset Purdy was so atrocious you just throw it out and you say there's no meaning to the game the old coach's cliche I'm gonna burn the tape to me that is sophomoric that is juvenile that's not a adult conversation to have we play these games because of their importance especially in the NFL and let's say it's the Niners and the Ravens again in the Super Bowl and you'll recall they got together 2013 when the lights went out in New Orleans how do I know I was there like Cosell isn't it reasonable to assume when Purdy takes the field some of the mental aftermath of what happened last night stays with him you see that same team you see those same guys who beat the crap out of you now maybe you'll prove me wrong but now we're gonna learn a lot more about the tenacity the determination and resilience of Brock Purdy who I never said was just a guy I never said he was merely a high-end game manager I did think he was a byproduct of the system but that's not ripping somebody that's telling it like it is and I think we got a better sense of the rationale that saw every other team in the league pass on him now some of that came down to wanting to get him absolutely as cheaply as possible and I think it's possible as a free agent but I think we got a better summation and a more profound glimpse into who the real Brock Purdy is in a game of that magnitude against an opponent that good he simply did not show up I'm Brian Weber in for Rich Eisen you can pass along your thoughts pick 4420 47424 coming up I will check the old Twitter machine that is BW Weber Weber with two B's because I got a little role there lousy clock management what's more the reason I'm a fill-in host I'll never be more than the coordinator can't be a head coach with that kind of butchering of the clock gotta get into what's wrong with Kansas City and if you are a chief fan you keep telling me well once we get to the postseason everything's going to be fine have you looked at the seating you don't have to it's my job Kansas City cannot be the top seed meaning for the first time in his career Patrick Mahomes is going to have to play a playoff game on the road we'll get there plus as Tommy Cutlet's magical run ended to Rod Taylor made it a game but the Eagles snapped their three game losing streak even if they pound the Cardinals coming up this weekend and the Giants with a larger margin of victory than yesterday in the regular season finale will Philly really be back not based on what I saw yesterday I'm Brian Weber in for Rich Eisen well it is a fabulous time of the year we have all the NFL going on college football three more ball games I the chair warm in for rich and the guys tuesday edition the rich isin show 844-204-7424 the number to call breaking news we will make history and take a phone call for the first time in a long time coming up but to be totally candid with you if you want to get interactive hit me up on social media during or after the program bw weber weber with two b's x me i don't work for elon i still call it twitter with all those t's in there and i'm back with you tomorrow as well if you want to get the dialogue going a reminder whether you get pulled over or get into a crash drinking and driving will change your whole world drive sober or get pulled over paid for by nitsa when i give out the number it's not just because i'm a radio veteran trained to be a carnival barker the goal is to get interactive but i know my style i've been doing this long enough to understand that when you're the fill-in host let's say guest host i feel much more important most of you would rather chat with rich so i come with four and a half hours of content i try to cram into a three-hour bag and coming up we will get to the chiefs we will get to the eagles that's all on the docket here an hour number of the program but i don't mean to come across like i'm better than you so when i say phone calls are taken selectively that's just being transparent still if it's a good call i'll put it on the air let's find out if this was the right decision say hello to sanders in phoenix hey sanders you're on the rich eisen show i'm brian weber what's up oh that's quite the introduction there brian how you doing this fine morning i'm doing well are you going to make me seem like a savant or you're going to remind me never to take phone calls no i'm not going to remind you never take phone calls because i'm not going to be aggressive about this this opinion at all i just have a genuine question and i know it comes from opinions of media people like you rich or any really anybody else to ask this question so you might be the perfect person to ask this so with context um i'm a ravens fan better ravens fans since uh kyla bowler was quarterback i'm a relatively young guy 28 years old you're not that young hang on i did kyle bowler's first game at cal as a play-by-play guy in the bay area so you are a die-hard fan if you're going back to the bowler uh throwing from his knees 50 yards error right yeah exactly good knowledge but go on this is why i don't take phone calls i interrupt you the floor is yours no you're you're good and i should also say i'm very familiar with brock pretty because i teach high school i'm a math teacher and a basketball coach in arizona and i'm very familiar with brock pretty because he played at the rival school to the high school that i teach at so i saw him play like six times you know very familiar with this game got nothing against him great kid a lot of people around arizona actually despite the fact he's on the 49ers rally around him because he's a a local legend around here um but here's something i want to ask about last night's game and in general for the season i have wanted to know why for the last three weeks brock pretty has been the mvp candidate and conversation for the 49ers and not christian mccaffrey because i feel like a guy who's going to have over two thousand scrimmage yards probably close to 25 touchdowns which is you know at minimum 150 points of the of the team's scoring uh and the guy who i feel is the actual engine i understand this is a very different league than it was 15 years ago when adrian peterson won it i understand this is a very different league and more quarterback driven but if you take brock pretty out when sam darnold did relatively okay i'm not thinking standard darnold takes you to 11 wins but sam darnold did relatively okay sanders let me jump in you're making my argument for me and i know you're not hanging on every word that i belt out i said in passing if i had to give the mvp to anybody on the 49ers i would have given it to christian mccaffrey so we're singing for the same hand are they not saying well i'll tell you why and we'll let you go and i appreciate the phone call thanks very much for picking up the phone and throw in a couple thoughts my direction you also answered your own question because this is an award that now only goes to quarterbacks the last running back to win the mvp award was adrian peterson 11 years ago when he came back from the torn acl and had 2 000 rushing yards before that you got to go back to ludany and tom woodson and you also had sean alexander in the mid 2000 to 2010 range since then nothing but quarterbacks in the history of the award only two defensive players have ever won the league mvp lawrence taylor and alan page no wide receiver has ever won the modern version of the mvp award jerry rice got the ap's version a million years ago back in the day in the midst of the niner dynasty so i think you know where i'm going here it is a quarterback bias undeniably because the entire league now hinges on one position and one position only but clearly you'd have to be a fool not to acknowledge that brock perdy is a much better quarterback having christian mccaffrey to utilize and that's why when the niners got criticized by a lot of people for quote-unquote giving up too much to wrestle mccaffrey away from carolina i thought it was a phenomenal deal in real time because take a big swing when you have a running back with that versatility so thank you for the phone call didn't mean to step all over you i'm not used to dancing with somebody else like fred and ginger i've been doing long-form monologues for a long time but i've been doing a long time but i appreciate you picking up the phone i do value the insights and thank you for driving the conversation i thought you were going to take it a different direction why were so many pundits reluctant to put lamar in the mvp conversation and he was there but i think there's a notion with lamar that and i know it's a regular season award we all have our human biases and i'm talking about anything beyond football analysis but because we've seen lamar underachieve in the postseason i think there are voters i don't have a vote nor do i share this view i'm just trying to give you a line of reasoning i think there are voters who say okay yeah big numbers but empty calories somehow show me that you can do it in a more meaningful high leverage situation i did not think we'd be talking this much mvp i think we can say with certainty you cross brock purty off the list and now it comes down to lamar jackson or mccaffrey he got the head-to-head situation last night if you want to be a mccaffrey apologist and i'm a huge mccaffrey fan i have i mentioned i squandered a stanford education a million years ago i got to get that on the air at least once per show to feel better about my own inadequacies mccaffrey shouldn't win the heisman as well but in my mind there's not much of a discussion based on what went down last night body of work and it's a quarterback and quarterback only driven award now lamar jackson should wrap it up i'm brian weber in for rich eisen eight four four two oh four seven four two four since that was a good phone call let's see if we can keep it going in the next hour of the program also i'll check your social media activity coming up hit me up on twitter bw weber weber with two bs let me do two minutes on the chiefs then we'll come back with more kansas city and philly that'll dovetail nicely based on their super bowl connection of a year ago kansas city has been floundering for a long time and i think the knee-jerk reaction has been they'll figure it out when they need to well yesterday would have been nice because had they won they would have wrapped up the division for an eighth consecutive year that's still right in front of them i'm not saying it's time to break up this dynasty that still has a chance to be extended but if you've been paying attention yesterday was not a aberration and the raiders defense certainly was the best unit on the field yesterday in kansas city well they scored two touchdowns in less than 10 seconds and some of that's on my homes throwing the pick six and good for antonio pierce i don't know if he's the long-term solution but i certainly had a strong opinion it was not josh mcdaniels just look at how the team has played from a standpoint of energy and commitment since pierce took over i think yesterday should have been the signature win that gets him the job but mark davis operates in mysterious ways but if you're a kansas city fan you're gonna tell me okay we got plenty of time to get this right effectively that's what my home said post game and my pushback would be who on that offense do you have confidence in that's going to hang on to the ball including travis kelsey they can't run consistently pacheco got banged up after the touchdown yesterday and my homes is making far more mistakes than we've ever seen in this transcendent career and now the defense steve's magnola's unit which had carried this team is suddenly much more mortal so i'm looking around i got a lot of buttons in front of me is there a panic button can't find it if you have one in kc push it because this team is dealing with real concerns and i don't know if there's a switch somewhere in missouri if you can find it i have no degree of confidence they're going to be able to flip it come playoff time because this has been going on for a long time this season i think most casual fans have not been paying attention i'm brian webber in for rich eisen we can roll phone calls i was putting my feet up and hit the phone line eight four four two oh four seven four two four more of your tweets coming up bw weber weber with two b's got to get to the eagles what an intriguing game that turned out to be sometimes even though you win and they barely won 33 25 more questions are the byproduct of a victory than you might think so what questions did i take with me from the eagles victory over the giants yesterday i will let you know coming up as we roll on on a jam-packed tuesday i'm brian weber in for rich eisen this is the rich eisen show all right folks let's talk about game time and let's talk about buying tickets to big time events because it number two of the program we will get to some nba analysis coming up in the next hour 120 eastern time the fallout from the five games played yesterday always a pleasure to check in with jonathan vontobo he's an mba analyst for v-sin also will give you the sports wagering outlook somehow this has become a telethon i have thoughts on the eagles i will get to prior to the conclusion of our number one but back to the phone lines because they're blowing up percolating today eight four four two oh four seven four two four let us say hello to rich of maryland hey rich you're on with brian weber in for rich eisen how are you i'm doing wonderful how about yourself i am doing well thanks for the call what's on your mind well uh the kansas city chiefs i mean uh they just can't seem to get out of their own way um you know ever since eric the enemy left for washington their offense just hasn't been the same and uh i think in order for them to you know get things going i think they need to make a change a coordinator and uh get rid of matt naggy and either promote um you know um joe blamire or david gerardi um just because the offense is looking a lot like what naggy ran in chicago and i've got half a family full bears fans and friends that are bears fans and the minute naggy was promoted to offensive coordinator they all were like oh you know he's gonna ruin their offense and it's looking like that's the case rich appreciate the phone call i think you know the answer i'm going to provide andy reid is not going to make that kind of move at this stage of the season whether it's justified or not obviously there are legions of fans across the nfl that detests their offensive coordinator more than any other figure in their town in pittsburgh it was blame canada blame canada although have you seen that offense for the steelers in small doses actually look like they belong in this century as opposed to the stone age offense that matt canada was running i knew new orland fans detest pete carlin michael i i am with you to a degree on eric b enemy certainly for a long time as a fill-in host this time of the year we're talking about coaching possibilities i've been a strong advocate for eric b enemy the one thing i think we are learning in washington because we didn't get a lot of access to chiefs players who had anything negative saying about the enemy and maybe this was just a culture shift eric does not play around eric has a strong personality walked into washington and you had a variety of players running to the media saying whoa this dude is intense and i have no problem with that this ain't ballet we're talking about professional football and i think the enemy should be in line to go through the coaching process once more we've heard in the past whatever this means he does not interview well but i think we can come up with some cause and effect there that's certainly a rational opinion more to the point that offense has never been the same since kansas city decided not to pay tyree kill now tyree kill has a lot of issues off the field that we should not overlook in my mind if you just want to come up with a good description of tyreek he doesn't seem like a wonderful individual you can do your own research but if we're just talking about football here he's the most dynamic playmaker in the league he's got an mvp resume although as i mentioned wide receivers never have won the award jerry rice once got the ap's version tyree kill though changed everything with his dimension to stretch the field open up things for kelsey but if we were talking about even the super bowl a guy named sky moore unless you're a hardcore chief fan or you had money on the game you don't know who sky moore is sky low low from back in the day professional wrestling in the 1960s so this offense has major issues and it's just too basic to say ah it'll be all right my homes will figure it out because we've never seen him face the road test in the postseason nobody has had things line up more beautifully at the start of his career than patrick my homes now i believe in patrick i can't sit here as captain hot take and tell you he's a fraud that would be absolutely delusional but we're gonna learn a lot more about my homes when he's got to get it done on the road he's had way too many turnovers as of late the costly pick six yesterday and he's got no talent around him to catch the ball other than travis kelsey who just can't hang on to the ball and i'm not gonna blame t swift for that but something has been a miss with kelsey as well something is a miss with philadelphia now they did snap the three-game losing streak finally showing signs of life if you watch that game though everything changed when tarot taylor came in my biggest concerns as the giants made it interesting 33.25 for philly comes down to just a lack of precision it was keystone cops to open the second half you had two dudes running into each other on the opening kick they gave up too many splash plays as we say in the business but if you think about that battered secondary that got picked apart on monday night football by drew lock of all people it was not in any way a confidence boost to see tarot taylor come out throw that bomb to darius slaton slipping behind the secondary a 70-yard touchdown so it's a philadelphia defense that in many ways carried this team to the super bowl a year ago one of the most prolific groups we've ever seen when it comes to sex right in the same category as the 85 86 bears they were just that formidable certainly not the same this year they can't run as well as they did last year although diontre swift had the nice game and it's hard to come up with the precise understanding of what's not clicking they just seem off and in fact i'll borrow from jalen hurts postgame monday night in seattle what do you say we're lacking commitment and that speaks to internal dynamics that you and i can't know but just watching the old eyeball test from the couch they look sloppy and they look out of sync still based on that win and dallas predictably losing on the road again in miami because dallas can't win unless they're playing at home now three and five in road games a reminder the wins at carolina at the la chargers at the giants two of those three teams have whacked their head coach well with the cowboys losing again philadelphia now 11 and four right there with the niners and the lions still having a shot at being the top seed in the nfc that hour went by quickly i appreciate the interactivity we'll keep it going coming up in hour number two talking afc playoff picture and a little bit of nba as well the fallout from the five games that were played yesterday when we check in with jonathan von tobo of visa i'm brian weber in for rich eisen tuesday edition of the rich eisen show for the real story behind some of wrestling's biggest moments it's something to wrestle with bruce prichard and conrad thompson too 1995 when wcw announces they're going to be live and head to head with monday night raw feels like this would have been something vince would have kind of laughed off no we did not like them moving to monday nights there were a lot of hotels they all carried cnn tbs and tnt vince was convinced the ted turner had deviously done this deal to get in the hotels and keep us out something to wrestle
