Many people's first serious relationship didn't start with a kiss. It started with a kickoff, or perhaps it was love at first hike. But unfortunately, many of these football lovers don't live in the same city as their team, which is why Marriott Bonvoy has hotels close to nearly every NFL stadium, bringing fans closer to the teams they love. With over 30 different hotel brands, so if you want to stay closer to your team, check in for game day with Marriott Bonvoy, the official. Sponsor of the NFL.

We'll see you there. It is time for Overreaction Monday, presented by Marriott Bonvoy. Check in for game day with Marriott Bonvoy, the official sponsor of the National Football League. This show is being recorded after I think the wildest weekend of football I can remember, college and professional together, combined, combined. The crazy games on Saturday, the way some of them went down.

Obviously, Georgia and Alabama, the way that one went down. Kentucky and LSU, the way that one went down. UCLA beating Oregon, the way that that one went down. Just that in general, and then. The way every NFC East game ended or went down this weekend.

Well, just think about how Sunday started. Jacksonville takes the kickoff back for a touchdown, called back on a penalty. Oh wait, there's a fight going on at midfield. Right, right. And Jeremiah Trotter Jr.

gets ejected before there's a single snap of the football. And I saw that post that you sent around internally, but all of us here is that. It's not even the quickest. The guy named Trotter's been thrown out of the game. His dad got thrown out in a pregame fight against the Falcons when he was a pro.

Trust me, it was amazing. It's been wild, so I can only imagine what's on that piece of paper of yours, and then how it ends with a Tua pick in overtime. In overtime, like what? After the Ravens were down by eight, tied it, forced overtime, and almost possessed it for the entirety of overtime. Just crazy, crazy.

Hit it. That was terrible. That was crap. That was garbage. This place sucks.

Overreaction Mondays. Monday. All right, Chris, what do you have over there? Here's how I want to start. I thought the game of the day on Sunday, despite all the wackiness that you just said in Seattle, went down in Seattle.

Yeah, that was a heavyweight match between two NFC West powerhouses, NFL powerhouses, really. And I want to go here because you talk about other teams. The positions that they have holes in, Seattle's repeat chances evaporated the second Kenneth Walker left in free agency. You know what? I think you are hitting on something that is growing.

All right, I don't think you can cast what we've seen through the first five weeks as having torpedoed their chances of repeating. Let's see what happens when Zach Charbonnet comes back. But they miss Kenneth Walker, oh, without question. I mean, and and and the way that this went down with George Halani, as Brady kept pointing out, that there was like two points of pressure on the football as opposed to the requisite four to five, at least, you know, and and and then the fumble inside their own one that led to points for the Niners. Incredible.

One of, let me get this correct. One of seven combined turnovers in this game, and the 38 combined points off of turnovers were the most in a game since the Saints and the Lions combined for 42 off of turnovers in October of 2017.

So it's been a while since we've seen a game like that. Yep. And I'm I'm just going to proffer to say that in 2017, between the Saints and the Lions, it wasn't for first place in the most heavyweight division in football that. Wasn't even a division game between the Saints and the Lions. Obviously, the stakes in this game were that big.

Yeah, and the run game for the Seahawks without Kenneth Walker, they had to know they would be struggling. Certainly, without Zach Charbonnet being healthy at the top of the season, they did draft Jadarian Price with their set third with their first. Round choice, thirty-second overall. The kid is banged up and on IR, so their plans. But he had fumbles issues as well.

Well, I mean, you knew that you'd go through any sort of that stuff with a rookie. Yeah. Um. And and you know, listen, the the best laid plans that they had. All right.

Um. We were kind of praising. When they drafted Price, it was like no brainer. Great job, teammate of Jeremiah Love. Everyone's like he could be just as good.

You could you saw what he would could you know you saw what he did at Notre Dame. We we had Marcus Freeman on the show, and he's like I told him to stick around because if he did, he'd have been the lead back on a team that can win the national championship. And I totally understood that he wanted to go to the pros. You wound up in Seattle, a perfect spot for him, and he got hurt. Let's see what Zach Charbonnet does, but as I pointed out on the flagship show last week, and I'll repeat here again on this overreaction Monday broadcast, that it's fascinating to me that the Seahawks are now in the position of the Minnesota Vikings from last year, that they had.

The quarterback, Minnesota. They decided to go with a different way of rostering and their quarterback, and decided to go with a kid, or at least couldn't put a deal on the table to keep Sam Darnold enough to keep him there. To understand that JJ McCarthy's still there, and you should still stick around. Yada yada yada, and he goes somewhere else and wins the Super Bowl.

Now they decide to roster in a different way. They decide to go where they'll they'll pay Rashid Sheikhed and they'll pay others to stick around. But Kenneth Walker is the one that they say you can walk, or we're not going to put something on the table to keep you. And he goes somewhere else and is in a spot where he can win a Super Bowl, and and. Already is halfway to a thousand yards for an undefeated team, so we're going to sit here and and absolutely come up with a topic bar like this.

But I'll call this an overreaction. I can't say their repeat chances evaporated now in week five. That said, this is something that you can point out months from now if they still have trouble running the football and aren't as good or as efficient as they were last year. Sam Donald needs to play better too.

Well, the defense also gave up a bunch of points too, but we have to just chalk it up to both defenses played well enough to force these turnovers. True, and both defenses were on there. Backheels because the other defense kept forcing turnovers.

So fun game it was, really fun game. And the Niners just—I don't know if you have something right there. We're going to do Niners right now. Go for it. This guy was a huge free agent signing as well, and I know Brock Purdy has been spectacular.

He's still the odds-on favorite for the MVP through five weeks, but Mike Evans is the 49ers' MVP through the first five weeks.

Well, you heard Fred Warner after the game. On Sunday, talk about how great Mike Evans is took over that game, and how he's playing hurt, and what that means for this team, and for them to have another OG in their locker room. I am sure is something that permeates every human in the facility, not just the locker room, the front office. It just invigorates everybody because of how it is working out, and obviously is the perfect piece. For a Kyle Shanahan coordinated system, in the same way McCaffrey was and still is, and in the same way that Brock Purdy is, Kittle they've added yeah Kittle they've added another Debo, who as we said on the flagship show should never leave the warm embrace no of Kyle Shanahan and the Forty Nineers.

Like he's going to be out for a little bit, I know, but he'll he'll be back. I'm assuming because everybody and that's the conversation everybody keeps having about the Niners is. That it's like a Mad Lib. The Niners just lost fill in the blank proper noun, and yet they still keep chugging along. And the question is, is what's it going to mean when we get to January or February?

Are they going to be healthy enough to make a run, or will they just be so, you know, attrited that they're going to be in such bad shape when it comes to winter go home time? But but the three receiving touchdowns Mike Evans has this year matches his total from last year. He did only play half the season because of his injuries. True, and we'll see what happens moving forward. But I don't, I can't argue with this one.

I can't argue with this one because the Niners are doing everything that they need to do, which is get Brock Purdy up to speed and get him in in in a groove where he's not turning it over. Obviously, on Sunday was a bit of a different story. Sacked three times, he entered the day with one interception and no sacks taken on the season. He had another interception and three sacks, but McCaffrey isn't being used as much. I know for.

Fantasy owners of Christian McCaffrey, they're pulling their hair out of their head when they see the kid from Indiana trot on the field. But they're trying to keep him fresh. As I mentioned, the war of attrition is coming. And oh, you saw him on the game during the sideline, massaging that hamstring.

So you know he was battling something. What they're doing is the right thing. Yeah. And what they are right now is five and zero, big time. And what they are is not just five and zero; they're three and zero in division.

They held serve at home against Arizona, and the two wins against the Rams and the Seahawks on the road, because again the the the game against the Rams is is technically a home game for the Rams in Melbourne.

Now I understand Niners fans like to have fun and say that they pack sofy stadiums like a home game for them, but it's still a road game. And so they're three and O in division, and they're three and O in conference. Two of their other wins are against the AFC, which, as you know, are the most empty calorie victories in the National Football League that you can have is a win against the opposing conference. But they are five and O, and as of this recording, it's prior to Monday Night Football. They will become Bills fans big time because if the Bills win that game, then the Rams are two and three.

So they'd be three and a half behind the Forty Niners just five weeks in, and they're already two and a half up on the Seahawks, not having to go to Seattle again, unless somehow they start stubbing their toes and the Seahawks don't lose, and the last game of the season is for the one seed again, and they got to wind up there. Right, all good in the hood, and I know they're hurt. But you are what you are, and entering Week Six for the San Francisco Forty Nineers, who are going to be taking on the Washington Commanders, who I imagine will understand if they have the lead or an opportunity to win with seconds to go, how to close the game out. That game's on Monday Night Football, so they've got a home date, they've got an extra day to rest up. Check all the boxes for the Forty Nineers.

What else you got? Let's go here. Drake made a great game. Not sure if you guys were paying attention to that, but I want to go to the team on the other sideline. That's two losses in a row now for the Raiders, and with their season at an inflection point, the clock is ticking on Kirk Cousin's status as QB one.

They're in the mode of still trying to play football games to win games this year and see what they can do.

So if they feel that Cousins is suddenly diminishing, and is the reason why they are losing, and it's not appreciable of a drop for the rookie to get in there, and they believe that he is the answer to continue to win football games, then that's the way that Cousins will get sat. Unfortunately for the Raiders, their next two day their next two games are home dates, which is good news. But home dates against the Bills and the Rams, yeah.

So three and four is still not the end of the world. Let's just say that they go to the Jets, where anything can happen. Certainly, if the weather's in Clement, as Cleveland found out on Sunday, they go to the Forty Niners, and then they're home for Seattle, and then they're at Denver. At that point, if they're two, three games under five hundred, I think. At Cleveland, a bye week, home for the Chargers, home for Denver, home for Tennessee, at Arizona, at Kansas City, would be a great spot to get Fernando Mendes.

You don't think the next two weeks they get blasted like they did on Sunday? And they're three and four, just one game under five hundred. Three and four, their offense has only put up ten, fourteen points. Mendoza came in and looked pretty good. I know it was garbage time.

It was garbage time, but still, come on, for him to go out there and not look like you know it was garbage time. The game was beyond over. The game wasn't even close to over. Passes he moved around, which is good. He he fogged up a mirror.

Congratulations. That is that is seriously like if if he was going to do that in the end of the half, first half. You know, when the game was definitely up for grabs and still on the line, and everybody was just locked into the game, this thing was toast. It was over.

So they did get him, you know, some time. They did get his feet wet, which is nice. Yeah, I I don't see that unless again, I'm not an all twenty two guy. If Cousins's arm strength starts to wane because of whatever, or his returns start to diminish, then I understand that. But they still have a chance to win football games, and you're not going to look at some of these veterans who are putting their asses on the line and say we're going already with the kid because we need to get him up to.

Well, we need we already looking to 2027.

Well, that's my point. A four game losing streak, three and four. If Denver keeps, maybe I know they won, but if they're sliding and not looking good, there could they could still be in the the West chase. That's why I'm saying they're not going to go to a rookie where. It could it could go completely south.

I'm not in the building, and I'm not the evaluator that's there, and I'm not seeing what reps look like, and I'm not seeing what the locker room is thinking. But Akbar Bajabia Miller, who did say that they would win their first three and then lose their next three and surprise everybody by beating the Rams, is still on target. He's still tracking five for five. But he did say that the Raiders were going to go twelve and five at the end of the day. You do see that the back end of their schedule it does soften compared to the Super Bowl world beaters that they're facing over the next month.

Sure, and I'd imagine you are going to have Cousins take those bullets. Certainly, if those are bullets to take before putting the kid out there. What else you got? Let's go to the game at SoFi on Sunday. I don't have anything else to add about the Chargers.

They're 0 and 5. They are what they are. But in Denver, it doesn't matter who calls the plays. Rich, the Broncos have a Bo Nix problem. All right, put more meat on the bones and what the problem is.

Moving the ball, running the offense, pushing the ball downfield, scoring points. Meaning. It's Stidham time, or Sit him time for Stidham time. Is that what you're saying? I don't want to go that far.

They're not going to do that. They're just not going to happen. No, they're not. But what is going on with this guy? He's inconsistent.

And then if JJ McCarthy did it, we'd start talking about how he's a bum and he should get traded. And it's the same thing. I don't. I don't know about that. I'm just talking about inefficiency.

Bo Nix was a top ten fantasy quarterback last year. I understand. I understand, but he's in the same draft class. In the same way that we're seeing that Penix's worst abilities is availability. Bo Nix almost went to the Super Bowl last year.

I I understand that.

Okay, I understand that. But how did it look sometimes where we're wondering, oh, how many times they're going to pull it out in the second half? That's what I'm saying. I I so so I I know we're kind of reading from the same book right now. Um, and at the end of the day, he's got to play better.

So right now, part of the problem is Bo Nix's inefficiencies. You talk to anybody that is watching the All Twenty Two, and they will tell you he's not seeing the field. He's not pushing the ball down the field. He did attempt to do that a few more times on Sunday against the Chargers, and he did have some success, but. I'm.

If you were looking at quarterbacks from that game, you have to say that the Chargers' quarterback and the Chargers' offense is what lost it, rather than Denver's quarterback and Denver's offense won it. If you're watching that game and you're trying to figure out what in the hell happened, yeah, and what's going on offensively and who's calling the plays and what the problems are, you'd have to lay that one on the Chargers a little bit more than anything else. And you know, sure, it just seems like Denver won, kind of in spite of Bo Nix. It's his third, fourth quarter comeback this season, which leads the NFL.

So you take a look at that, but then you drill down, you're like, well, how? What? What? What did he do to pull it out of the fire? Right.

I I do think Peyton calling the plays is an improvement, with all due respect to Davis Webb. At the end of the day, the guy who's in charge is calling the plays, rather than I'm calling the plays. The guy in charge happy?

Well, we found out he wasn't happy, and maybe this guy sticking his foot in a certain spot with Bo Nix is going to get a result at some point. We'll see. But you are what you are, and they're three and two as opposed to the other way around. That's for sure. Many people's first serious relationship didn't start with a kiss.

It started with a kickoff, or perhaps it was love at first. All right, Chris. Second half, hit it. Our long national nightmare is over, Rich. We have a trade. Marvin Harrison is on the move.

He's going to Houston, and he's going to have more touchdowns the rest of the year than anyone on the Cardinals. Oh, that's ridiculous, man. You don't think this is going to unlock him? Why does everybody think that it's a change of scenery that's needed?

Well, they didn't buy him the machine he wanted. By all accounts, the what Cardinals were nickel and diamond him.

So we couldn't get ready and couldn't get prepped. Is that right? Yeah, because seems like Michael Wilson doesn't need the same machine. Did Kendrick Bourne need that machine? Because I was watching Kendrick Bourne.

I've I've got him on my bench on two fantasy teams, and I'm like, I got to get him in the line. Oh yeah. I mean, you know, when you got when you're multiple team leagues and you're you're. Like our Rich Eisen show fantasy, straight up fantasy. How many how many bench spots did you give us?

A lot. Eight? No, a lot. Big bench. All right, so going to a college quarterback now, who knows how to get him the ball where he likes it.

I I understand how on paper this looks like a great move and may just be, and I think it will be helpful to the Texans and him. Clearly, a change of scenery was necessary, right? Trey McBride only has three touchdowns, so it's not like he's got a giant gap here to fill. I, I understand, I get it, but you thinking that he's going to have more touchdowns than anyone else on the Cardinals the rest? You watch the Cardinals play football on Sunday.

No, the Lions' defense certainly looked like a world beater compared to the way that the rest of the world was beating that defensive side over the first month. I understand. I understand. I'm not giving up on the kid. The talent.

I'm not giving up. The talent is there. But you're saying he's going to pedigree. He's going to have more touchdowns this year than the rest of the Cardinals roster. Yeah.

I mean, why don't you just throw the word combined in there since you're already off the rails?

Well, I don't want to go too far. I want to be semi reasonable. C.J. Stroud is having a terrific start of the season. He is.

He is not the reason why the team's one and four. No. Um. And You know, Nico Collins missing two weeks didn't help. No, the run game has been non-existent.

David Montgomery had three touchdowns in Week One and has just been absolutely non-existent since. Since then, and he left with a groin injury in the second quarter with an eleven rush yard performance. Yeah, I don't know if a wide receiver was the trade that maybe Houston needed to make. I would have liked to seen a lineman, but they go and get the guy. Let's let's turn it.

I know he and Nico Collins. Yeah, let's go. Makes for a terrific one-two combination. If you are looking at Marv's college years and Nico's professional years, sure, which are better than his years at Michigan in terms of being a difference maker. But at the end of the day, let's just baby steps.

This man. How about first step? Let's find out if Marv's got a a current valid passport. You know what I mean? Like he didn't probably think he needed his passport this season.

Arizona wasn't playing overseas. No. Now his first game's going to be in London against the Jaguars, and a must have game for Houston. Because the Jaguars are sitting there at four and one atop the division, exactly. I didn't blow my side.

It doesn't matter. But let's just start with a valid passport, okay? Before we're starting about traveling into the end zone more than everyone on the Cardinals, right? Rest of the season. What else you got?

All right. Speaking of the Jaguars and the crazy ass London game, and let's combine that with whatever madness happened in Washington. One of these NFC East head coaches who cost them their team's a win. They're not going to be back in 2027. I don't think that's an overreaction.

I know people are already talking about how what Sirianni did by kicking the ball in the field of play to the Jaguars with eight seconds to go was such coaching malpractice that Amir Abdullah returned the ball 52 yards to allow for a 57-yard game-winning field goal. To wrap it, and by the way, that fifty-three-yard, pardon me, kickoff return that set up the game-winning field goal by Abdullah was the second longest return in the final ten seconds of fourth quarter of overtime since nineteen seventy-eight.

So, I'd imagine Nick Sirianni didn't think that was about to unfold when he did not or. Did and his kicker did not somehow do what he wanted, which is boot that ball to frigging Liverpool, man. You know what I mean? Like just hit it, so they don't return it, and there's no chance that they're going to be able to, with no timeouts left, be able to get the kicker on the field. Instead, that happened, and remarkably, remarkably.

The commanders took their beer and held it and slammed it down because I have never, yeah, in my fifty-seven years of watching football, watch this, and I'm sure at some point I watched football as a baby. I don't remember. We were there. I'm sure. I'm.

I'm sure the TV was on at some point while I was, you know, going potty. Um, and I can't imagine. Ever seeing again what happened with the Washington Commanders and how that game ended, and an absolute slow motion car crash. Oh, you could see it coming the whole time. Absolute horror movie where you see the serial killer is standing there, and you're like, "Why aren't you going faster?" It was.

I can't even watch it back. No, I haven't. And I don't even have an emotional tie to this. Nope, at all. I can't even watch it back, knowing what's about to unfold.

It's it's like it's like watching. Throw it away, Jaden. It's like watching the last scene of The Sopranos. It's like watching some of these Breaking Bads that you're you know how terrible the result is going to be. You can't even watch it back.

And so I know there are some that say that Dan Quinn should be relieved of his duties now. Yeah, but that's not going to happen. No. But if the commanders have another season like last year's, this year, it will be the first item up for bids in a conversation between Quinn and management, or management within their own rooms, you know, and. It'll be the first thing that to talk about, and to me, if you're putting on a list of things about what worked and what didn't, that's the one that just leaps out at you.

So I can't sit here and say this is an overreaction. It would be a surprise if they both if they're both back. Yeah, you know.

So, and it just shows just goes to show you. I'm gonna point this out in the flagship too that. Eight seconds to go. You could say that was Sirianni's most impressive coaching performance as an Eagle coach ever. With this offensive line, they had a guy five eleven playing guard.

Playing guard, I know.

Okay, the picture of him next to Markell Bell, the right tackle, was like Judge and Altuve. Yeah. Okay, Judge and Altuve. Right. Yep.

You know what I mean? And And they had four different offensive linemen. They were down to running back number four. They were down to wide receiver three, four, and five. They were so short-handed.

How about this stat? Then we'll move on. The running game. Do you know how many yards per rush before contact they had? It had to have been negative.

Point one yards per rush on average before the the running back got contacted. Just twenty two rush yards on eighteen attempts, and they almost won it. And instead of us saying they flew out to London with Lane Johnson retiring, and then Cam Jurgens traded, and then all of these guys get hurt, and nobody thinks they're going to win, they were on the precipice of winning. And instead, we're talking about the decision Sirianni made, or somebody made, and Sirianni couldn't stop, or whatever happened, and we're saying penthouse to outhouse, man, crazy. What else you got?

A couple more, and then we'll get to to our tweet of the week. Look, wild game in. Green Bay, absolutely BTA by Jordan Love and company. And when I look at that game, and then the Vikings go to five and zero. Packers are going to win it.

Say it. I'm not. I'm not going to say it. I'm not. I'm not.

Packers are going to win the division. But I'm not. But I am going to say the NFC North is the best top to bottom division in football. No, wow.

Well, it's not the East. In the AFC, certainly we just we just went over the NFC, where the Cowboys lost at home to an 0-4 team, and the Eagles lost over in London in the most mind-blowing fashion. And the two other teams that faced each other, neither won.

Okay, yeah. NFC East got zero wins, right? And two teams playing each other, yeah, right. Yep. Um.

And the AFC East, with the Bengals having beaten the North, the no the the the Bengals just beat the Dolphins. Oh yes, and so I've got a stat here that that the Dolphins are just the second team in the last sixty years to not have a lead in any of their first five games of a season. Holy!

So it's definitely not the AFC East. Nope. The AFC North has four three win teams. Browns, Bengals, Steelers, Ravens. You watch Cleveland play the NFC West.

You're saying the Cardinals remove them from consideration. The AFC and NFC South. Yep. The AFC West. The Chargers remove them from consideration.

So you got the Lions, the Bears, the Packers, and the Vikings. Yeah, okay, I'll buy it.

Okay, we talked it. I'll buy it. Talked it out. I just like, who wants to be a millionaire contestant? I am Regis, just waiting, waiting for your answer.

I almost phoned a friend. I almost fifty-fifty it, but yeah, I'll, I'll buy it. The only one that can come in in contact is the AFC North because all four teams have three wins. The Lions have three wins. The Packers have three wins.

The Bears have three wins, and the Vikings have five. Right. Okay. We sounded out.

Okay. Good. Look at us. All right. Let's get to our.

You think the Packers are going to win the division? I thought that's where you going. Why couldn't they? The run game is supposed to have helped them. Can't run the ball.

Doesn't matter. Didn't Marshawn Lloyd have two touchdowns? Like combined four yards.

Okay. Whatever.

Okay. They still got in the end zone. And Jordan Love kept going up top. I kept thinking to myself. I mean, I have loved watching.

Matt Lafleur was like Hans Gruber telling him to hit it again. It was great. You know what I mean? It was great. You know what I mean?

Prettiest deep ball in the game right now.

Okay. All right, one more, and we'll get to the finish.

Okay. Just because I want to talk about Jameis, like the experience. As long as he's their quarterback, the Giants are the most fun team to watch in the NFL, man. The Jameis experience, like you thought, we got the Jameis experience in Week Four. Then Week Five, he was like, "Hold on." He played a first half where he probably should have got benched, and then the second half comes and he's like, "Screw it, I'm throwing to Malik Neighbors every single play." Stop me!

It's pouring down rain. Look at those eyes. It was awesome. I just can't. This guy's unbelievable.

It's like rubbernecking sometimes, man. I had that game. I was watching. I know it's something to slow down and look at, but at the end of the day, there, there, t here is damage. You know what I mean?

Like, I, I, I don't know who else there is that's entertaining. That I mean, the they're the best. Chiefs are pretty damn entertaining. They're the best red zone team. The Giants.

Well, I mean, Scadaboo's entertaining, and and Neighbors is entertaining. Arvell Reese is entertaining. Isaiah Likely. I know. I guess the way that they they had a last second pick six win against the Cardinals and then soaking wet on the sideline and a tie.

You think he signed up for this walking heart attack, James Winston? No, he probably signed up for a young kid that he's going to coach up, and it looked like he had him in position to do so. You know, John Harbaugh is pumping nitroglycerin to keep his heart stable. I got it. When do you think they're going to go to JJ McCarthy?

Not at all. Not at all. If he keeps doing this. They're home for the Saints, who suddenly have fallen apart. From there, from that first two weeks of the season, they looked like they were going to be a problem for anybody, man.

So they got they got New Orleans. Oh, the Tigers, the Black Box future, and then they're at Houston. Anything could happen. The first North American start for Marvin Harrison Junior. Four one and one going into the bye week, dude.

They they could win the listen. They could win the division. They should. They're in front. The only team that's just not stepping all over themselves, although like if they had just kicked it, although my Michigan kicker Zavada, who had a very nice first month.

He missed two.

Well, I mean the conditions. Yeah, I know they were pretty. We're pretty. I got it. I got it.

Pretty brutal. All right, just for you because I know you.

Okay. All right, this is fun. Let me giving you crab legs every week. Go ahead and eat that, Doug. Thank you.

Thank you. Thank you. All right, let's get to our tweets of the week. As a reminder, you hit me up on Twitter with something absolutely insane for overreaction on Sunday night. You might make the show.

Okay. I got this one, Rich. This is not really a real one. We're going to get to the real one. This guy Mitchell Riley said, Rich.

Should have to personally refund me the eighteen dollars I spent on Colston Loveland in my auction draft. I will send him my Venmo. Hey, I'm not the only one that had him the second tight end on everybody. You are pumping this guy up, though. Tell me every single site that you drafted on.

Okay. You know our show leagues are on ESPN. You know the ESPN fans. Yeah. Because you know obviously where we were at.

Yep. I do a couple on Yahoo. We had sleeper. We were. You know what I mean.

Best ball one short. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Where was Loveland on all the tight ends?

I mean, he was number two behind McBride. Yeah, two or two or three. Not three. Not three. Who was Bowers?

But he was hurt. He was hurt. He was hurt. Yeah. Yeah.

He was hurt. Okay. If he was healthy, he might have been one. Loveland had two catches, five yards against the Packers in a game that they were trailing by three scores. What the hell's happened?

Thirteen catches on the year. He was outstanding in college. He was outstanding in his rookie year. I do not know what the hell has happened. He was absolutely, you know, a target for Caleb Williams in Caleb's first two years in the league.

Well, Caleb's back next week, so. But you owe Mitchell eighteen bucks. I don't. Oh, Mitchell—a thing. Mitchell—a thing.

I don't even have a picture from this year. I understand. We have to go back to last year when he was good. I get it. I do not have an answer for it.

He is a major weapon that one would think Ben Johnson could figure out how to work in, since he is the wizard of doing that. This is on you, Colston Loveland. Where was he on everybody's lists of top tight ends to take? I was only echoing what I was seeing and feeling. This is Matthew Barry's fault.

Is that what you're saying? Everything's Matthew Berry's fault. All right, let's go to the real one. This is Delmar Dennis. Delmar Dennis.

Delmar Dennis. He's the real one. Possible topic: The NFC East is the new NFC South.

Some team in that division will finish eight and nine or worse. Wow, I can't say that's an over. I can't either. Again, the three games. Involving NFC East teams in Week Five of the 2026 season, the Dallas Cowboys lost to an 0-4 team at home, starting an undrafted rookie free agent at quarterback.

The Philadelphia Eagles, minus everybody worth a damn on that offensive line, save Jordan Mailata, went ahead and, despite only amassing 22 rush yards. And having a quarterback that couldn't be protected and didn't have too many receivers at his availability, on the precipice of winning, but lost because they made some inexcusable special teams gaffe, and then whatever the hell happened between the Giants and the Commanders caused them to be a tie game. How is this not? I can only say they can't be eight or nine. If half the division now has a tie in there, yeah, we had so we had to change it or worse, so we added the or worse, five hundred or worse.

Yeah, can't say that's an overreaction. Yikes! That's the first one I bought. Yikes! And I'm not paying that guy anything for Colston Loveland.

It's not my fault, Mitchell Riley. How I'm going to get? I wasn't there. I wasn't there. You might have said that.

And by the way, I appreciate the one thing that I will appreciate about that is that he considers what I say as a valid. You know, take enough for him to jump in with something as important as a fantasy choice that I imagine had to have been second, third, or fourth round pick.

So it's it's Field Yates's fault. That's who it is. If name anybody, it's whoever comes up with the rankings. Field Yates. It's not like Loveland was fifth, sixth, seventh on your tight end list of best ones to draft.

And I'm like, hey, here's a sleeper for you. Eighteen bucks. Jeez. That'll wrap up this edition of Overreaction Monday. Our flagship show features Marcus Spears of Monday Night Countdown physically in our studio.
