Yeah, yeah. But I listen, I have like 19 shows that I do, which, by the way, I guess the one that I'll share, I do a show for the NFL called Lots to Say with Matt Castle. And I don't know, check it out if you want. But I listen to this podcast sometimes fully, but sometimes I fall asleep and I sleep with you guys. I appreciate that, Bob.

Why does she? She shouldn't break it. She doesn't hate it. She just is not a fictional character. I am.

Now, what are we doing? Yeah. You think Roman Reigns is really Roman Reigns? No, but she also wants me to come home and not be Bobby Bones. I did.
Is that possible? Are you able to do it? Oh, she's put some balance in my life. And the baby. I come home and I'm Bobby Estel.
Yeah. Yeah. Bobby Bones doesn't really care. I'm not even, I don't even talk that much. Here I am.
Ah. Anyway, enough. Bobby, this happened to me when I became a father. Did you just immediately forget everything that happened previously in your life up to the point of their birth? You know, it's weird because sometimes we'll go, we don't know what life was like before this.
Yeah. Because we used to live carefree, baby. We would just go to another country. Do whatever you want. Or dinner.
Leave the house. Yes, yes, yeah. Brockman used to take naps. Oh, dude, I used to nap every day for multiple hours. No way.
Getting my clothes. And I would make fun of it. With my jacket on. I would just go home and wherever I was, that's where I was sleeping for the next couple hours. It's awesome.
And now she smiles at me and knows me and stuff. Yeah. But not as Bobby Bones. She's like, well, she doesn't talk, but if she did, if she was talking already, I mean, we do have people on that want to talk about teams that are going to be better than everybody thinks. And I do want to go over to, let's go to Andrew in Detroit, who is on.
Andrew. Andrew, I'm curious, who do you think will be better NFL-wise than what people think? I think the Temple Bay Buccaneers were in the NFC South. And I believe the uh They will be the scenes that's going to be as a surprise to you and Nate Carolina and some folks will be saying the same. But I think with.
Contract year. I believe that, especially if Vita Bayon stays there for the year, I believe that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will win their division and win a playoff game. Um side note. I also believe that most universities are the reason why they don't become great. Too many universities like to live in the past.
We won the championship like this 30, 40 years ago. You have to move with the times. There is no reason why scenes like Nebraska or Georgia Tex or Georgia, Texas still be doing a triple option when those type of uh scenes have not won in almost 40 years. Like, you have to change with the time. You can keep tradition, but if you don't move with the time, then you won't be able to continue on.
I don't believe that, I believe in tradition, but I also believe in you have to move. how things are moving. I appreciate that. Thinking about the Bucs, Mike Evans is gone, which is weird because I had to remind myself he's a 49er. Mm-hmm.
That's bizarre, right? Yeah. But doesn't it also, in a weird way, seem like, oh, yeah, he's always been a 49er? No, not yet. Really?
Maybe after he plays a few games. But, I mean, why to use that? He does feel like the perfect 49er. Oh, he was always a 49er. I can feel his style.
Maybe it's jersey color going from red to red. The weird thing about Baker last season, too, is first half of the year he played really well. Second half of the year, not so much, but he did have the injuries and they did miss the playoffs. The contract situation is always interesting, especially when you have someone who is very outspoken like Baker. But.
Like granularly, this is the fourth offensive coordinator in four years, I believe. And that's a lot of switching. Right. Again, I had never played quarterback for an NFL team, but I'm told that. It's hard.
Another coordinator, a new system. I believe you could if you tried really hard, though, Bobby. I do too. I believe I can do anything. Yeah.
I'm really excited to see Bain play, though. I think that you have to say his name like that. I'm sorry.
Okay. Bain Jr. That to me is going to be fun to see if that translates. Yeah. I think Bain's going to win Defensive Rookie of the Year.
Okay. There's a good chance. I'm still. He's going to win the trophy. This cost usual stress.
The Rams should have taken him at 13. I'm going to say this till the season's over. Mm.
Well, the Rams and a lot of people could have and should have I know, but specifically he was there and the Rams took a player who, in the best case scenario for the season, is not going to play this year. Hey, Stetson Bennett's been whipping that ball around. No, right. And the guy you took may not even be the backup. He's going to be the.
Yes, correct. And that was my point. Like, Stetson Bennett's going to probably be the backup. I would assume. More than likely.
Yeah. But I don't think when. Yeah, I agree. I guess the logic was the Rams aren't going to be bad. They're not going to have a chance to draft a quarterback anytime in the next couple to few years.
So, why not do it this last year when they have the opportunity? That was the logic that I was told.
Well, because when Stafford decides he's done, Joe Burrows is going to come and bingo. Hey, the crazy thing about Stafford. Is it more than 99 on Madden? He's again, we talk about old players that make us feel like we're still part in the mix. Stet Stafford, they were acting like last year his elbows didn't work.
Like he couldn't bend his back. Yeah, he couldn't even bend over. Yeah. We needed people to walk on it. And now he's in 99.
He's awesome. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it, but make up your mind. Is he old and decrepit or is he amazing? It it's amazing. Should he be a ninety-nine?

So I heard you say villains with NFL teams. But first of all, the Cowboys would be the team that are gonna do better this year because they're flying underneath the radar. At this point of last year, how many Jerry Jones drops did we have? He's staying off the radar. We haven't gotten any drops from him lately.
So that's my theory. But the reason for my call is: have you gentlemen seen that the NFL and Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars have teamed up to sell shirts and stuff with characters associated with the teams? There were some that were easy compounds. The Raiders got Darth Vader. The Cowboys got Woody.
Brockman, I'm not sure if you're a Marvel fan, but you've got a good one. You got Captain America. Yeah, buddy. I'm just wondering if you've seen this. And the article I did see is on Sports Illustrated and on Lutzer Report.

And I think Thanos is the most misunderstood, most ill-interpreted villain of all time. Oh, please explain. It's all sold out, too, on the Disney story. He's got to make a choice. Everybody dies, or he has to kill half to save the other half.
Like, what a terrible position to be in. That's the worst position to be in. Like, everybody dies, okay? We're just going to let it go. I'll die.
Or I have to snap my fingers and kill half so the earth can live. Yeah, not a fun decision to make, but leaders don't have it easy. If you're going to be a leader, you've got to make tough decisions. Dang it. Just as for Thanos.

Okay, making this up on the fly here. Buffalo Bills, I'm going to go Spider-Man because they're easy to root for. They constantly get knocked down, and somehow they're optimistic, even after all the. every time they lose in the AFC Championship game or before. That's all I got.
Who's all? I don't know. I guess I just come up with this top of my head. I don't get the Jets.
Okay. Rain Goblin. And sometimes they suck. The only movie I've ever walked out of was the Eric Banna Hulk. Oh, yeah, that was pretty bad.
I feel like I did. I like all those Hulks, by the way. I liked Banna. I liked What's His Face? Ed Norton.
I liked all of them. See, to me, Hulk is my ultimate favorite superhero, right? There's Hulk and then there's everybody else. When Thanos pieced up Hulk in that movie and just beat up Hulk to the point where he relocated to Williamsburg and became a hipster, that kind of took some of my love for those movies away, man, because I grew up thinking the Hulk was the biggest, the strongest, the roughest, the toughest. And then he got his butt just thoroughly kicked.
I didn't like it. I didn't, like I said, as a Hulk fanatic, I didn't love any of the Hulk movies and definitely didn't love what Thanos did to him. Thanos, Justice for Thanos. Don't make me say it again. I still haven't watched those movies yet.
I'm not even going to judge you because I've never seen. won the Sopranos television show and I've never seen the Goodfellas, The Godfather. There's all those. I've never seen any. Whoa, we gotta get gotta get it.
Nah, we don't have to. I got a baby. I just mean I haven't seen Endgame and all those ones. Oh. But you've seen some of the like actually.
Yeah, yeah, of course. If I were gonna do one as Detroit, since it was mentioned, I'd thinking back, I'd probably do Captain America. Yeah. No. Like earnest.
Like, I feel like people in Detroit are like for real. Like earnest people, like, you kind of, if you meet them, you like them, you understand. They may be a little rough, but they, they. I don't know. You go, Captain America.
They're blue? Blue? Did you say blue? I mean, I know we're playing in a few barbershops in Detroit right now.

First time I've ever heard you stepping in for Rich. I'm a first-time collar, by the way. Thank you for this show. Before I give my answer, I just want to give a shout out to TJ because TJ, I know you're a ninja, so am I. Born and raised in the Mon Valley, my friend.
And actually, going back, I go back every year to a Steeler game, so I'll be going back in November. What high school did you go to? From what I understand you're from, I believe the Altoono area.
So I just want to give a shout out to Pittsburgh. What high school did you go to, Chris? Ringold. Ringold, okay. Got it.
Yes, sir. What's that? Class of 1988. And I heard what you were saying earlier when you guys were talking about Rich and Sue put so many of us people my age bracket to bed. I want to talk to Rich someday, and that's one thing I will say to him.
You guys put me to bed more than my mother did. But I Everybody's down on my steelers, Bobby. And I just, you know, I'm not delusional. I know this isn't 2010, Aaron Rodgers. I get it.
But, you know, and I heard Rich talk about it on his show. I really like last year's draft and this year's draft. We finally have another weapon. For DK, I think that's part of why the offense was so stagnant. I mean, it was DKing a bunch of castoffs, you know, picking up Michael Pittman Jr.
I think it's huge. Jeremy Bernard Alabama as a third wide receiver. I think our defense. I love Patrick Graham's scheme, and I read something not too long ago. He said when he was the defensive coordinator for the Raiders last year, he can only run about 50% of his schemes just because the personnel wasn't there.
And he was so excited when he looked at our personnel because he's an attack kind of guy, which that's the kind of style I miss us playing defensively. I'm not saying we're a Super Bowl contender, but I also believe that we're going to win 10, 11 games. Call me crazy, but that's where I think we're going to fall. And I think we're going to be in the running for maybe not the division, but at least a wildcard spot. Kind of want to bounce that off you guys.
See if you guys think I'm nuts or not. It would be fun as a Steelers fan to win 10 or 11 games after a lot of 9-8. Those type seasons, I think Mike McCarthy's there now, right? Am I crazy? You're you're you are crazy, but Mike McCarthy is there.
Okay, so I again, I don't and there's a 13-year relationship with him and Aaron. And, you know, I don't wanna Super Bowl together. You know, supposedly ended on a sour note, but I've read too much this summer. You know, they've kissed and made up. And, you know, and that's the other thing, Bobby.
I mean, I don't think this is going to be Aaron playing games with us. I think this time next year, Aaron will be off in Malibu, you know, having a cold drink on the beach.
So I think every bullet that's left in his gun, he's going to let fly. And I still saw that arm strength last year, and he knows McCarthy's system better than anybody. Yeah, he threw 28 touchdowns, eight interceptions last year, so it wasn't like he was bad. I mean, it was.
So I hear you. I think they could win nine-plus games, I think. But and defensively, TJ Watt obviously is what he is, but they have High Smith and Joey Porter Jr. I think the Steelers could be good. I hope they're good.
I think the league's better when the Steelers are good. I mean, statistically, they're going to go over 500, right? Because they do it every year.
Well, new coach, though. Yeah. Hey, you know who the second most famous Ringgold high school alumni is after Chris? I don't know the first. Joe Montana.
I do, TJ. Yeah, yeah. That's after you. You're number one. Joe Montana.
Yeah. You're number one, Joe Montana, number two. That's awesome. I said Joe Montana. Exactly.
It's really cool. It was a replica. It's obviously not real, but when they won their first Super Bowl back in the early 80s, I can still see it in our gymnasium. And it just, it's a lot of pride. TJ, you're going to know this.
I grew up in Finlayville, so, you know, about 10 miles away from Anongahala, which is where Joe's from. And it was just, it was really, really cool once I graduated and got out into the world. And, you know, they say I went to Ringgold High School and they said, hey, guess you know who graduated from Ringgold? And no, Joe Montana. I was like, look it up.

We had a lot of fun with the Christmas movie. You know, we teamed back up with our friends over at Disney. Um and it was just a a ball. Uh you know we we've always dreamt of doing a Christmas film and it wasn't until we We sat down with the team over at Disney back in 2019 and resurrected a bunch of ideas that we had started back in our first. You know, a couple years working with Disney back in the day, and they put a great team around it and came to us with a great creative.
You know, as as dads now, all of us are our dads, I think in creating Experiences for families to share together that are just fun, don't take themselves too seriously and Create that feeling of togetherness during the holiday season is what it's all about.
So, as far as the sequel goes, I'm not entirely sure. Anything could happen. Just produce and do a little cameo on our second project with Disney since kind of coming back to them, which is Camp Rock 3, which came out. about a week and a half ago. The response has been incredible and and You know, we're we're down for whatever, whatever they want to throw at us.
Yeah, super fun. Immediately entered the rotation on the holiday season.
So congrats on that and looking forward to it. Appreciate that. We were talking about being dads a minute ago. I have a five-month-old baby, first baby for me. Yours four or five, around that age, right?
Four and a half. Yeah, so what have you learned about you? Because I'm going with this, going through this now. What have you learned about you since having a kid? Yeah.
Well, I think that the main thing I've learned about myself through having a kid is just. There's that first couple years where you really realize how Quickly, we fall into certain patterns and start to see the world certain ways. And when you have to explain why glass is clear, you know, for instance, it kind of opens your mind up. Beyond just being quick on your feet and coming up with answers that make sense, you're also helping shape their worldview and who they become and what's important to them and how they treat others and all these things that we know we're stepping into as parents, but until you're in it in real time and these little moments matter as much as they do, I think. You know, you just have to sort of lock in, and it also makes you see the world in new and exciting ways, and with the same wonder that their little minds are seeing it for the first time.
So you've obviously done music, you've acted in movies and television, but you've also done Broadway. Like what's the difference for you as a performer when you're on Broadway? Yeah. Well, I mean, for me, I think it's the closest thing to being an athlete. I really.
Admire Broadway performers, and I've done a bunch of shows now and love tapping back into it. But those that do it, you know, day in, day out for a year or more, it's eight shows a week, six of these a week.
So it's really, I think, the most physically taxing. version of performing you can do. I mean, it's It's a grind and it it is something that I think Um You know, it is reserved for the strong at heart and of strong mind.
So I hats off to those that are Performing on Broadway at the moment, or Broadway Performance as a whole. It's really an impressive thing, and I love doing it and getting to express myself in that way through. you know, acting, dancing, singing, all on one stage and and uh always Look forward to my return to Broadway someday. Yeah. Well, as I mentioned, we grew up in Jersey and have been lifelong Giants fans. And really looking forward to this season. Coach Harbaugh and Jackson Dart and Scataboo. Scottie Wu actually came out to a show, which was awesome, and got to meet him and He and my my oldest brother Kevin and and Jackson Dart were I guess it Game four of the the Knicks series.
in the finals, which was a pretty epic game to be at. Um Some New Jersey/slash New York royalty all in the box together watching the Knicks, you know. take their their journey to destiny. Let me have you dig back for a second. When you think about people that come to your shows, and you mentioned people there that you're obviously fans of, who's come to your show?
Do you think this is crazy? They're even here at this show, they wanted to watch us perform.
Well, there's been a few over time, some legends that have come out and kind of. Blown our minds and our parents' minds that they showed up. But Barry Gibb came to a few shows with his family, which was pretty. special and he spent a lot of time with our band and and with us, just just talking and Same thing with Paul Simon. That was pretty.
pretty amazing and Obviously, people we have an immense amount of respect for and look up to. And then over time, you know, some some sports legends as well that came out to shows and and um you know, as a as a Giants fan, when Eli came out with his family to uh a show we did out in in Jersey and actually Announced to the crowd that we were being inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame. That was a special moment for us. And, you know, no bigger icon in our minds than the two-time Super Bowl MVP. I'm going to ask you a music question.
And I live most of my life in the music space. I only come over here and flirt in sports. But musically, I'll talk to people about artists who, if they were. Born today and they made the same exact music, that music would still be relevant today. And the couple that I put on the list would be Biggie for sure, because he just sounded so different.
And then also Led Zeppelin, because I think what they did, their style sonically, what who comes to mind that if you take their music from whenever, or they're born today doing the same thing, that it would still be so relevant today?
Well, I mean, I I think there's there's a a l a lot that um would be I think You know, it it It's just a matter of Yeah. what kind of music you're into, I guess, but uh You know, I would say Tupac for sure would have been one. Jennis Joplin. You know, there's so many that we've lost that I feel if they were here today, we'd still be. Rocking out of a Coachella set for sure.
You still enjoy the shows, like going and because you guys are crushing it again, playing these massive shows. Is it fun again? It is. It's more fun now. You know, we just finished up three nights at MSG.
And uh we kick off the tour um Uh September twenty fifth up in um Boston. Um You know, I love it. We love playing for our fans. Our fan base has changed a lot. Um over time, you know.
Looking out and seeing that multi-generational effect. People that used to come to shows with their parents who now have kids of their own. that they want to come with. But the parents who are now grandparents still want to come. Um it's such a a rare thing to to have that um That kind of love throughout those generations, and to see that this music that we wrote.
You know, when we were younger, and then the music that we're writing today still really connects, means the world to us. Um we can't wait to get back out out there and and see our fans here in the fall. TJ? Hey, what's up, Nick? Rich Eisen's show got its start with DirecTV's Audience Network.
I know you were also a very big part of my favorite show that the audience ever did, which was called Kingdom. You played an MMA fighter, which kind of puts you in a different light than people were used to seeing you you put in. Let let's talk about Kingdom, man. What what are your your your memories uh of that show? Yeah.
I love doing that show. You know, it was at a strange time. It was really right before streaming really took off. And it was on, as you mentioned, the audience network. And it was just a great show uh about You know, a family of M MMA fighters and their dysfunction and their inability to say that they cared about each other, which is probably the.
The flaw in all of them. And I just, you know, getting to take on that character was. Super complex and as you said, showed me in a different light. was a challenge I really needed at that point in my life and career. Um and you know I hear from people All the time that they love that show, and I think over time more and more people will discover it through different channels and different things, and hopefully, one day it ends up back on Netflix or somewhere else.
But yeah, I'm glad you called that out. I loved doing the show, and And uh have love for the for the The fan base of the show. Do you think your perception, or did you see? The way your perception was changed by people because you know, people think boy band member, they think one thing, but you're playing Nate, Kalina, and you're a badass MMA fighter. You know, what was the the noise around you?
How did it change after Kingdom?
Well when I first got the script for Kingdom, I recall telling my agents that I wanted to read for it, and they reached out to the casting folks and. the producers and and they said that they didn't want to see a Jonas brother for the role. Um And that just made me all the more determined to to kind of you know, push that wall down and just just get room and fight for it. And uh, you know, now I'm I'm very close with the guy who created the show, Byron Blasco. And we have another movie that we have in development together, and we went from.
You know, that to developing other projects together and doubling, tripling down. And it's just cool to see how life can happen that way. Um, you know, that experience, that journey was really important to my growth as an actor, but also as a person. You crushed it, bro. You really did.

Okay, but again, being on the TV side when it happened, that was the words that were being used. But they like play instruments and they're like good. They're more than the. But look, the Jackson 5 was a boy band to me. I don't know.
It was boys in a band, but I don't know if that's a boy band. I guess we could have this discussion at some point. What is a boy band then? Vocals, pure vocals. Um multiple guys that are just singing pure vocals.
Okay. That would be my description of it. Nick Jonas is elite. He was badass. Oh, they're very elite.
They're very elite. No, yeah, no, I'm not even saying their boy bands are elite, don't get me wrong. Jonas Brothers, straight bangers. Jonas Brothers are so good. Bangers.
Yeah. You know who else is really good? is Hansen. Not a boy band, and they are I'm telling you. I used to hang out with Hansen back at the day.
Look at me. You look at me funny. What? You're not going to find three dudes that play instruments that sound as good as those three guys do together. Hansen.
You heard it right. Mm-ba. Mm-hmm. That's right. That's what you only know him for.
Shibba doop bop bop. But kind of like the Jonas brothers. They started so young that people only have the relationship of that young version of them. Sure. They are so legit as musicians and artists.
I don't care if I don't know if he's still on or not, but I didn't know if he. He's gone now. I didn't know if he boy band. I don't think he took it as an. Oh, he just texted me.

And I just want to play a little post-game here from PCA. If you'll hit that. I saw four umpires miss a pretty obvious play.
So. They're out there every day just like we are. Their one job is to get calls right, and if they get it wrong, they're supposed to talk about it, figure it out, and get it right. They didn't.
Now. It's not to take away from what Eduardo was doing to us today 'cause he was He was all-star Edward Rodriguez and he was nails.
So when a guy is shoving it down your throat, pause. You gotta find any way you can to make something happen, and that's exactly what I was just trying to do. And I executed. And it would have been nice if the umpires did the same. But.
You know, I I I get it from From Alfonso's point of view at Home Plate, tough to see with two people standing in front of you, and all you're trying to do is call the right pitch. Um But I don't know how you miss somebody starting their motion and then stopping it and stepping off and I just don't know.
So you'll have to talk to them. You know, if I'm gonna sit here and about all this stuff, like I should've done better today. Shouldn't have punched out three times. Should've had a better bat doll series. I was pretty non-existent.
So I think you just got you guys just saw my frustrations from the last three days kind of come out. And I'm gonna stick by and say rightfully so, 'cause You know, I didn't appreciate the other umpire coming up to me and after Q had calmed the situation down. Um. You know, it's just, I think they find new ways to screw something up every day.
So, there you go. That's MVP talking right there. That's MVP. There you go. That's how an MVP talks, by the way.
If it was a balk, if you ask me, it was a balk. And not only that, the Cubs were taking a 1-0 lead. Instead, Arizona scored a run in the bottom of the next half inning and then ended up losing the game.
So that's what's up. That's what an MVP just says. MVP gets out and says stuff. I like that about our MVPs. You know, PCA's parents are actors.
Did you know that? Yeah, his mom's at rookie of the year. His mom's rookie of the year. His dad was in American horror stories, heroes, American dreams. He was at Harvard Westlake.
Mm-hmm. In the valley, this is local high school. Yeah, yeah, you guys keep talking high schools, and I'm just staring with nothing to say because the only high school I know is Mountain Pine, where I went. Are you in their Hall of Fame? Uh there's a sign when you drive into my hometown that says Population 772, Mountain Pine, Arkansas, home of Bobby Bones.
That's cool. That's pretty dope. That's amazing. We had 40 kids in our graduating class. I don't know that there's a Hall of Fame.
