And now, it's Rich Eisen. It's our final hour of our final day of a three-day residency here in Green Bay. The gather on Broadway has been our spot all week long, and we thank the wonderful people here for rolling out the red carpet for us.
And our first two hours have been a total blast. Joel Klatt, who sat with me last night on the NFL Network set, and will sit with me on the NFL Network set tonight for night two, rounds two and three, stopped by. Same thing with WWE Superstar Seth Rollins, diehard Bears fan who's announcing a Bears pick tonight, said he will not hold back despite the no-doubt backlash he could get from the Green Bay Packer fandom. The Green Bay Packer Super Bowl MVP of the 90s, Desmond Howard, stopped by. He's going to be on the ABC set tonight for night two, rounds two and three. And then Kyle Brandt of Good Morning Football is about to join us here. Good Morning Football GMFB Overtime is the show that precedes us every single day on the Roku Sports Channel, which we love. Joining me now to kick off hour number three is a man who will be on the ESPN set tonight, as he was last night for night one, when rounds two and three begin on ESPN later on, 7 Eastern Time.
Ladies and gentlemen, Louis Riddick is here on the program. Good to see you. How are you? I'm doing good, man.
Let's just jump right into it, sir. Why do you think Shadore Sanders dropped all the way out of the first round last night? You know, Rich, I mean, as you know, you've been covering the draft a long time. When it comes to quarterbacks, when it comes to any player, when you're talking about the top half of the first round, let's just say the first round overall, people physically look for distinguishing traits to kind of mitigate the risk of being wrong, which is something that everybody's trying to avoid in the first round. And with Shadore, what's been most of the talk leading up to the draft, that he doesn't have the kind of physical traits that typically you associate with upper echelon quarterbacks, right? He doesn't have unique size, doesn't have unique arm strength, doesn't have unique mobility, whatever it is. And so when you're looking at him, I think that is something that if all the other things, when you're talking about decision-making, accuracy, football, personal character, leadership team, if it's not something that people feel as though it is so much so will kind of outweigh or kind of like buffer some of the things physically that a guy doesn't have, if those things don't stand out so much, players start to slide. And it becomes a subjective process, right?
I mean, you can ask 15 different people about Shadore Sanders, you're going to get 15 different answers. You're going to get people, like on our set, Mel Kiper believes the guy was the best quarterback in the draft. And then you can get people, you can go and poll someone else, and they would say, look, he's a second or third round talent. And then when you start to factor in the fact that of who he is, who his father is, what his personality is like, having sat in a lot of college draft meetings, I can tell you people's personal opinions weigh heavily, very heavily in this kind of process when the physical traits are not just staring you and knocking you in the face to say, look, I don't care how I feel about this guy personally.
We have to take him because the traits are too good to pass up. When that's not working for you, and then people have other kind of biases and or feelings about the other characteristics I'm talking about, that's how you can start sliding, and it can go fast as it did last night, and we'll see what happens tonight. Well, let's say those opinions are valid, okay? Yeah. Let's just for the sake of this conversation. Yeah, right.
Exactly. Where's the fail-safe point where the pick isn't deemed so high that the risk is worth it? Where do you see that inflection point tonight? Really, for me, at the very top of the second round. I mean, it really begins.
It doesn't end with Cleveland, but it begins right there. I mean, they're 33 overall, and they got a second. They got another second just right away thanks to last night's trade. If they don't take him, considering the obvious need that they have at the position, and given what he has put on tape, and given what I know and I know Andrew Berry knows and a lot of people in the Cleveland Browns organization knows, because they've done a lot of homework on this young man.
So do the Giants. Exactly. If you still feel that he is not worthy of being picked at the top of the second round and given what your situation is, then you're right.
Then this becomes a very, very interesting discussion. Just let me say that. As to why in the heck this young man has not been picked at this point in time.
Because walk me through, I mean, you've said it multiple times on the show, but I guess it should be reset here. Your opinion of Shadore Sanders as a football player. Yeah. He is a starting caliber quarterback in the NFL that given the right circumstances, like 99% of other quarterbacks, offensive line protection, solid running game, reliable weapons, stable organization, competent coaching, this guy will win you 10, 11, 12 games, have you in the playoffs, have you in the hunt to be a Super Bowl champion. He just will. Because I'll tell you what, tell me this, from a physical perspective, from a physical skills perspective, what is the hole in his game that is so egregious that you would sit there and go, well, that's the thing that's going to keep him from ascending?
I'm not an all 22 guy. But I'll tell you. I don't know. You're right.
And I'm asking you kind of like, I'm asking you rhetorically, but at the same time, what I'm saying is, well, there's two things that come up all the time with Shadore this year, right? He doesn't have great mobility. He doesn't have escape ability.
He doesn't have like ad lib ability. It's like, look, I think Cam Ward is the best quarterback in the draft. Cam Ward and Shadore Sanders are basically neck and neck in that regard. Cam Ward is not going to win any 40-yard dash races or break the world record in the 60-meter dash, but he's got enough mobility to be able to get out of trouble and create. Turn on any tape with Shadore Sanders, he does the same.
Next question. Arm strength. Well, he doesn't have the rocket arm. He can't fit it into tight windows.
I could pull up 10 throws right now on Shadore Sanders where I would say those are NFL caliber throws, and he can do it with people whacking him in the face because he had no protection at Colorado at all. His own father says, we didn't protect him. We tried to get people in here. We just didn't get the job done. His son took a beating, Rich. I called multiple games of his where I could see Deion on the sideline going, like pleading with the offensive coordinator or telling the offensive coordinator, run the ball.
My son is getting killed out here. But he's hanging in there because he's trying to help win games, and I'm sitting there going, so when we say those kind of things about he just doesn't have those elite physical traits, look, we know at the top of the draft, again, it's an exercise about mitigating risk. Scouts, GMs, owners, whoever it is who are making decisions, they want to have all the boxes checked. So just in case the player fails, they can say it's the player that failed.
I didn't fail in my evaluation. When you have guys who have a few of the boxes that go unchecked and where you have a question mark about it, if those players fail, scouts then fear for their job security because the guy at the top of the organization is going to come back and say, well, why did you draft him that high anyway? He didn't check all the boxes. That's why people start to slide. Then you add in the personal component, like he's Deion Sanders' son. But, Rich, it's a real thing. Come on. What do they think? They show up like LeVar Ball in Upend Somebody's Franchise?
You tell me it's a real thing. You can go on social media. You don't even have to go on social media. You can just go walk around the street and go, tell me how you feel about Deion Sanders. And there are going to be people who are going to give you things from here to here, and they don't even know him, but they talk about him like they do know him.
And a lot of times, it's not real positive. Look, I've known the guy for 30-something years. I was teammates with him. I know what he's like.
Sure. But people get their perceptions about people. Travis Hunter, I just saw a clip of him talking about the same thing. They asked him about, what do you feel about Shadore Slidin'? He goes, and some of the things that people say about him. He goes, they're hating on him. They take out some of the feelings that they have about his father on us, and they project it on us.
And it's not fair, but that's just the way the world works right now. So it's Deion's influence that is being... Hold on. I'm just trying to square the circle here. It's Deion's influence that's causing his son, the quarterback, who clearly has some NFL abilities, knocking him out of the second round. But we're not saying how Deion polished a diamond in the rough into a unicorn chosen second overall.
Of course not. We're not talking about how Prime has gotten this kid, Travis Hunter, 100%. Remember when Travis Hunter didn't go to Florida State, went to Jackson State? Everyone's like, well, this kid just screwed up.
Why is he going to go to Jackson State? Well, look at what Deion has honed. Yeah. It's not like he rolled out the footballs for this kid.
On top of the fact that he developed his own boy into one of the best passers in college football. That's a narrative. Okay. So would you counsel the Cleveland Browns to choose Shadore Sanders with one of their first two selections tonight? Absolutely. You would? Absolutely. I would back that. Could you imagine if they didn't trade away Travis Hunter and had an ability to become the Colorado Browns? There were people who were fantasizing about that and who were hoping that that would happen. No question. That would be something else.
That would be. The conversation we'd be having right now would be radically different. Can you imagine with the mood? I heard you talking a little bit before about maybe how some people in Cleveland are feeling about the fact that they passed on getting a once-in-a-generation player like Travis Hunter. Can you imagine if they had gotten both of them? Both Shadore and Travis. That's exactly what Cleveland, the city, needs right now.
The Cleveland Buffaloes. Exactly what they need. But you think Shadore should be a Brown in the first 40 minutes tonight. I sure hope so. I hope so.
He's more than deserving. See, it's funny, man. We've talked about this so much to the point where, of course, people now are saying, you know, what do you want, Deion's payroll?
Why are you constantly advocating for this guy? I'm like, look, I consider myself to be a pretty down-the-line individual. I can confirm that.
I will hammer people as much as I praise people. Yeah. Shadore Sanders is a damn good quarterback. He should get off the board right away tonight.
And if he doesn't, it's going to get all kinds of interesting. What do you think the Steelers are thinking right now? That's a great question.
That's a great question. You know what I think? I think they're thinking, look, I think they believe Aaron Rodgers is going to play for them. I really do believe that. So that gets them through 2025. Right. Exactly.
Exactly. And they'll use a third-round selection later on tonight on best available quarterback, you think? You know, I would hope so.
I would hope so. Now, it'll be interesting to see if anybody is there that is still worthy of being considered a franchise caliber guy or has starting caliber ability. I don't think there will be. Look, I think Shadore will be gone. And I think Tyler Shuckle will be gone. I think Jalen Milro will be gone. So now what are you left with?
I mean, do you really think, look, no disrespect to Will Howard or, you know, someone of that nature, but I just don't think that that's what they're looking for, that that's what they need, that that will level them up at the position that they need in the way in which they need to be. I love Tomlin. I love this franchise. I love the city.
I love all of it. We're going to be there next year for the draft. It's going to be awesome. You and I know that right now.
Okay. So that said, I just find it so hard to believe that the Steelers are in a position of hoping Aaron Rodgers does decide to continue to play football so they can have a quarterback to win, have a chance to win a Super Bowl this year while waiting for a rookie quarterback tonight to appear for them to maybe choose so they can potentially find a quarterback of the future and they don't have a second-round pick to use on that because they used it to get a wide receiver without a quarterback plan and pay that receiver $30 million a year. Is that the most unstealers-like thing that you've heard in a long time or what? If there was any draft room or any series of draft meetings that you would want to be in, it would have been the Pittsburgh Steelers. To hear the discussion around, one, how they set their board and how they projected their board to play out when they came on the clock and who they would be comfortable taking at that spot. And that's Shadore Sanders. They said, hey, look, if he's here and Derek Harmon's here and any number of other players are here, Shadore's not going to be the pick. I'd love to know how they arrived at that conclusion given the circumstances that you say that and that we all know that they are faced with right now at that position.
I'd love to have heard how that went down. And then last night when they got on the clock, I would have loved to have heard the conversation between Omar Khan, Mike Tomlin, Mr. Rooney, as Shadore is standing, sitting there. That card, like if we're looking at a big draft board, his card is sitting right there. And you look at it, Jackson Dart's card is still sitting right there.
And you go, nope. Derek Harmon. Derek Harmon.
Oregon. Come on. So before I let you go, the first round selection you liked significantly last night. And who you would be table pounding for tonight, Louis Riddick. That I liked specifically last night. You know what, Matthew Golden coming here to the Packers is one I liked a ton because I just had a conversation with Steve Sarkisian about him and about his development and how at the end of the season when Matthew finally got comfortable in that offense, how you saw him take off in the SEC championship game in the first round of the playoffs against ASU, and how much Sark really vouched for the fact that this kid is a great kid who is a self-made man who someone was going to get the very best of. He said, look, I wish I had him a little bit longer.
Because he took over. And that, considering what the Packers' situation is, a wide receiver in their history of not drafting them in the first round, I think it just matches up perfectly. You saw how excited the kid was last night. That's the kind of thing, man, that you just love to see. Who am I interested in seeing tonight?
Yes, sir. I love great dudes who are also great players. There isn't a better dude in this draft than Donovan Ezeraku from Boston College. And he has every pass rush move in the book, every single one.
Speed, power, speed to power, spin, cross chop, he's got it all. I mean, at Boston College this year, he went crazy. And he is – I mean, you'll see next year Ezeraku will be a double-digit sack guy and we're going to be going, how the hell did he get to the second round? He'll be a double-digit sack guy. He doesn't have the measurables of James Pierce. He's not, you know, he's not like some of the other guys that, you know, that you associate with being upper echelon pass rushers. But he has got a bag, as you say, and you're going to see it.
You're going to see it in the fall this year. Lewis, thank you for all the times you came on during the draft season and for today and keep looking for my calls, sir. You got it, man.
Appreciate it. Let's take a VSP and watch him tonight if you wish, 7 Eastern Time, one of the three different broadcasts of night number three. Good to see you. That's Lewis Riddick right here. And joining us now is a man who is on the Roku channel every single day with Good Morning Football overtime. Is that a Marv Levy throwback that we're seeing right there? It's close, Rich. Okay, very good. That's Kyle Brandt coming up next.

Tonight's coverage on NFL Network of the draft continues at 7 Eastern Time. Ladies and gentlemen, Kyle Brandt. Hi, everybody. Hello.
Hello. I love these facilities you find, Rich. I was there last year in Detroit. It always is the feeling of where you go to plan the big bank caper. You know, like we're in our hideout.
Last year we were in a bank last year. That's perfect. You spread the map and who's going to cut the power and who's going to drive the getaway car.
It always has vibes of that here and that gets me excited. So I'm happy to be here. Well, we're just here. We're here just stealing money. That's what we're doing. I understand. Just talking.
For you. Did you buy this jacket next door, the starter jacket in the vintage store? This jacket and everybody's talking about this vintage store and this is so adorably Green Bay. Right here on Broadway. There's a young man who hangs a shingle a couple blocks from Lambeau Field and they have all of this legit stuff from 20, 30 years ago and it's not stupid expensive either, but like if you want like a game worn Antonio Freeman jersey, you can get one.
You can get all the other teams. So I walked in. In fact, I didn't walk in. This was in the parking lot on some rack and I was like, I'll take that and I'm never taking it off. Is this a Bill's jacket? Here's what's funny. It looks like a Bill's jacket.
It actually seems like it's from the Rob Lowe collection. It's just the NFL. I represent all 32 teams.
The league is who I'm a fan of. That's it. It looks great. Perfect for the weather outside right now. The weather's terrible.
The clothes are great. But I feel like the Wisconsin charm giveth and taketh away. Rich and I are commiserating before we sit down. All right. In our hotel, I think Rich and I are in the same hotel, there are no less than 26 cover bands playing in a 360 degree surrounding thing. Exactly. Everyone's playing.
And here's the taketh away. God bless the live music. They're playing the crappiest songs ever written. It's terrible.
Ever. It's terrible. I'm trying to go to sleep and it's, I don't want to work. I just want to bang on the drum. Oh, God.
Yes. I'm with you. You're hearing it. Ladies and gentlemen, Kyle Brandt is here on the Rich Eisen Show.
I don't need the Alan Parsons project. I'm trying to sleep. I'm here on the Rich Eisen Show radio network, sitting at the Rich Eisen Show desk furnished by Grainger.
With supplies and solutions for every industry, Grainger has the right product for you. Call clickgranger.com or just stop by. The flyover, sir. I was thinking of you. You were in one of those helicopters that went over the whole proceedings last night? Yes.
I was in a Black Hawk helicopter that flew right over Lambeau. I was scared. Wow. I was nervous. And you'll appreciate this. Yes. So I'm trying to be locked in the moment.
I'm also trying to be very respectful of the Wisconsin National Guard, who has me as their guest. And yet all I'm thinking about are just like nom movies. Like, you know, that's all I'm thinking. That's me. Look at that.
Yeah. I mean, the door's open. You got the glasses on. Look at you. It ain't me.
It ain't me. I'm thinking of Creedence the whole time. Like Fortunate Son. And they wouldn't let me play it.
They wouldn't give me the aux cable. But it was an incredible, incredible thrill. Life memory. And yeah, we're going off in the helicopters. And I'm thinking of our guy in Die Hard, just like bleeping Saigon.
Johnson and Johnson. And I didn't say it, but I did capture the video. And to see Lambeau and to see the draft, we start at 1,500 feet. And this is part of the mission.
We'll drop down to 1350 in diamond formation. Then we will cross Lambeau at precisely 645 p.m. at 500 feet. It is just gorgeous, the calculus that they go to. And they just nailed the end of the song. It was so fun. I mean, over Lambeau, which had a smattering of fans in there because it was where the red carpet was. And then 200,000 fans in the parking lot. And then the draft said there had to be something else to fly over.
It was spectacular. I told them I have three fears. Number three, that I'm going to drop my phone, which I didn't. Number two, that I'm going to fall out, which I didn't. And my biggest fear was that as we're flying over that that night the Bears are going to make a terrible draft.
I don't think they did. But I was more afraid of that than me falling out. And we survived, I think. I thought the Browns were going to trade down a second time to the Bears for the Bears to come up and again beat the Raiders to Ashton Gente. I thought that was about to happen. So did I. I'm wondering if Ryan Pauls tried to make it happen. It's possible. I bet he did.
I think Pauls maybe tried to make it happen. I think he loved the guy that they got, the tight end, Colston Loveland. And you have, by the way, I've seen this kid play more college football than most tight ends. You're going to love him.
Okay, well, tell me. Because I got some thoughts. Because he's always open. Because he's got every move in the book. He's smart. He doesn't make mistakes.
He very rarely drops the ball. Caleb Williams, if he's going to be looking for somebody, with all due respect to Cole Kamet, there's another guy. He's got a new BFF at that position. You're going to love him. I love it. He's your Sam Laporta in this offense, dude.
He's like a Sam Laporta clone. There's something that I came across months ago when I started to love him before I even knew he was going to be part of the Bears. And honestly, for Michigan fans who are now Bears, this is pornography. So they beat Michigan State, okay?
Chippy as hell, extracurriculars. And there's an interview with Colston Loveland you can go find on the field after the game, still sweating, still breathing hard. And they ask him about it. And he says, you know, little brother is going to do little brother things. In the parameters of the game, we always do what we have to do.
And if you want to have business afterwards, we can have business. And I was like, I love that dude. And now he's a Bear, and he is that kind of red ass, like brawler type. I love him. He's got the touch of Jim. And again, what you need to do on behalf of the Bears and your fandom, because I do love Ryan Polls, there's just, did you see the moment where the pick was made and the Bears captured?
They need Kyle Bryant in the draft room. I don't know what's going on. But they're all sitting there like staring at front, like if they don't, if they make a move, they're about to be fired.
Or I don't know what it is. There's something awkward with Ben Johnson. There was a touch of the Gannon in that moment. It's not like he went pew, pew, pew at him.
And by the way, Jonathan Gannon has completely reversed that course in just two years' time, right? They need you in the draft room. A little bit of rock and roll, a little bit of the angry pick. They got to have you in there with your cut-off sleeves and the scepter and blow that draft room up.
I'd be happy to do it. It's a little tight. Did you see the video? It feels a little like a Dead Poets society before Robin gets there. We're not in a prep school, guys. Just loosen up a little bit. Stand on the table and yop when you choose Colston Loveland. Rip the pages out of the playbook in the draft board and relax. But, of course, tonight they're getting Seth Rollins tonight. He was here an hour ago saying he'd be up for doing both picks.
It's 39 and 41. He has GOAT potential, like Drew Pearson, McAfee, David Akers. Rollins could walk away and say that's the best one that's ever done because he does this for a living. He's going to cut a promo for the Bears. Is that what you're saying? I think he's going to go on offense. You know what I suggested to him?
What? This is easy, Seth. You go after Clay Matthews and his dumb ass with his long blonde haircut and shouting at everybody and the Bears still suck. That's your CM Punk. Go get him. And he's like, I got it. I think it's going to be an all-timer. Watch Seth tonight. Seth's going to win the second round. Watch.
Plus, he's in hill mode right now, too. Yes. So you counseled him to do what you didn't do in the helicopter, which was scream, get some. Is that what you're saying? See, all the lines are in.
I'm trying to say, get to the choppa. It smells like victory. All those lines. But again, I'm surrounded by the real people.
And they were focused on their job. So I stayed content. The night one story is what? What is it? The night one story. You can only choose one. You can only choose one.
What is it? I'm going to go positive. Okay. I love the fact that we have the classic question this morning, Good Morning Football, who won round one?
And I said, I don't know if this has ever been the answer to this question. To me, it's the Jacksonville Jaguars. And I'm so happy for them and so excited for them. The fact that we are talking about the Jaguars after the draft.
And it's not the great job with the number one overall pick because you were the worst team in the league. It was, they made what our friend Heisenberg calls an empire move. And they're in the empire business. And I am so proud of them. I'm impressed with them. They got the most interesting player, the most dynamic player. I am immediately interested in the 2025 Jacksonville Jaguars. What reporter covers training camp?
What reporter covers mini camp? And I'm not interested in talking about the price because the immediate take was, Okay, good. You got Travis Hunter, but you're crazy.
Look what you paid. No, hold on. Let me jump in on that. Get in here. Okay.
Because if you, they give up a two and a four and a one next year. Yeah. Okay. Fine. And the two is the second pick they would have used on maybe a corner or a wide receiver after choosing a corner.
They got two and one. Okay. So I don't, it's a one in the two. You just use your first and second round pick on the Otani of football. Yes.
Okay. So forget about that. The fourth round pick that they gave up is worse than the one they got back from Cleveland. They actually upgraded their fourth round positioning and they got a six. They gave up a one next year, which is very expensive, but not when you're talking about Travis Hunter. I don't think they gave up as much as everybody's talking about for this. And they drafted two players. Empire move. Perfect way to put it. Yeah. I mean, you're Jacksonville. Let's be candid here.
You're market 32. You don't have a lot of sizzle. The Trevor Lawrence thing is at best middling right now. At worst, dying on a vine a year from now. Let's inject some juice. We got a new coach.
Yeah. Let's make a bold, bold move. Price be damned.
I say this every year and people don't agree with me. I hate draft picks as a currency. I think they are pixie dust. I think they're scratch offs. Most of them don't work out.
Even if they do, they work out with average returns. Spend them. If you love Travis Hunter, then don't leave Green Bay without Travis Hunter. It's so cool what they did.
And I don't want to hear any of the criticism. I think the Jaguars in 2025 won the draft. That's awesome. Kyle Brandt here on the Rich Eisen Show.
You know, who wants to be a millionaire? There's a friend that you can phone up, right? Yeah. So you're my friend for What's More Likely here. Oh, great. Come on. Our usual Friday staple. It's time for What's More Likely presented by Spectrum.
What's more likely? Never say never, but never. I love it. Okay, Chris Brockman, have at it, sir. Hey, everybody. First time I get to say, Kyle, you're good? Everybody good?
I'm great. Let's go. What's more likely, guys, the team that surprised you most by making a move last night? Browns or Jaguars?
Okay. So just what was more likely to surprise me? Yeah, more likely to surprise you. You said more surprised the Browns moved out or the Jags moved up. I'm surprised the Browns moved out. I'm not surprised. The Jaguars moving up.
It's a bold move, but the Browns had Travis on. It's unbelievable. Have you seen the Miz photograph from learning? No. Who was the one who took this picture? Angelo Dawkins of the Street Profits.
Okay. And he's a Bengals fan. You'll see it. He was on the plane, and the Miz had the moment captured where he learned that they traded out.
And there it is on the screen right there. That's not a great facial expression. Miz usually looks pretty happy. I've known Mike 25 years. I've never seen him make that expression. I texted him asking him, is this a real photograph of the moment he learned about Travis Hunter?
Yes. And he responded by saying, unfortunately, yes, and that this is the moment that was captured because he told everyone on the plane, he said everyone on the plane was staring at me because I was bragging we were getting the best football player in the draft. He confirmed that's really him learning about it. I know Mike pretty well.
And at this point, I think he might just be embarrassed that he's flying commercial. That's the facial expression. Mike does well.
Those Mizs, they do great. I'm actually surprised. So in the same way that Travis plays two positions, that's two emotions in one right there. Yes. The dichotomy.
The Harvey Two-Face. Yes. Okay.
Very good. All right. So I go Browns on that.
All right. What's more likely quarterback to be selected first tonight? Shadore, Jalen Milro, Tyler Shuck. Why am I thinking it's not going to be Shadore again tonight? The Browns have two of the first four picks tonight.
Okay. They don't have a quarterback. They have to get somebody, like somebody more viable than what they got in the room. And my instincts, Rich, are a guy who I thought was going to get drafted last night, I'm surprised it was Milro. I thought everybody had a crush on Milro.
I still think that they'd use for the talent and he has a lot of things that Shadore does not and a lot of things they can work with. Okay. What do you think? Why do I think it's going to be Shuck?
You know, again, I don't know if I, it's just because I have just that, that residue of last night. Yeah. Tom P said that's the hot rumor right now. It's Tom loves Shuck.
I would basically say if I, what's more likely Shadore or the field, I would take the field right now. For some reason. I don't know.
Chris, you know what it is? The Browns have shown their hand. They don't love Shadore. They may like him, but they don't love him. If they love him, he'd be a Brown right now.
Even at the end of the first round, you have to, you could trade back in and get them late if you wanted to. The Browns don't love him, which I don't think Kevin Stefanski's first quarterback ever drafted is going to be a guy he doesn't love. I don't think it'll be Shadore to the Browns and they're up twice. What else, Chris? More likely to be the Giants week one starting quarterback.
I like this. Jackson Dart, Russell Wilson, Jamis Winston. It's going to be Russ. I mean, how many times has Russ been handed the first position? Four.
Well, three and a half. Well, actually he got handed the first position in Denver and he got handed the first position in Pittsburgh and he got handed the first position in New York now because that's what Coach Daball said last night. You could say the only time Russ hasn't been handed the starter's job at quarterback as a professional was the one he won in Seattle. Against Matt Flynn.
Pretty much. He had to take that. He's been given it everywhere else, so I'm going to go Russ. Does training camp start next week?
Are we playing games? I'm going to go Russ. I'm going to go Russ and I'm going to go that at some point the Giants are going to flip Jamis somewhere else because somebody else is going to be desperate enough to give them a draft choice they can't refuse for next year.
Maybe back to Cleveland. I think he'll start. I think Russ is going to face immense pressure this year, especially if Jamis stays. Jamis is a hugely popular locker room guy and a fan guy and now we have the rookie phenom as well. That's going to be a very difficult job for Russ to hold onto and also, let's be honest, it's go time for the Giants. We can't come out one and three and then just make the quarterback switch. I think it'll be Russ, but I would be open to it being Dart as well. I'm going to go Russ.
Okay. Let's talk wide receivers. We met both of these guys this week. We had Matthew Golden on the show this week and Rich cut Ted McMillan in line at the airport when we were coming to Green Bay on Tuesday. Rookie wide receiver to score more touchdowns this year.
I go, I mean, I go golden for sure. There's something about it. It's like he was meant to be here. He's fast as hell.
He embraces the crowd already. He's got a good quarterback. I go golden for sure.
I think he's got a big year. And I'll go the other way around because, you know, and I will only do this because I very rarely will go fantasy. Let me tell you something. Okay, go on. Do you play baseball fantasy? I do. Okay. The most exciting team in baseball fantasy in the last few years is the Tampa Bay Rays, right? You have no idea if you're guys starting yet because it's all fungible, right?
You move them around. That's the way I view Green Bay wide receivers. How many times you're like, I'm starting Romeo Dobbs this week. Zero. Oh, I'm going Christian Wilkins.
Zero. Like, you never know whose day it's going to be in the Green Bay wide receiver department. And I'm going to go with Ted McMillan in, you know, they've got Tet and they've got Liggett and they've got, you know, the, the vet sitting right there, you know, and feeling. So I'll go, I'll go.
Bryce Young. Big winner last night. I felt like I'll go. I'll go.
Ted McMillan. Okay. Yeah. Rich mentioned fantasy. Let's talk fantasy. All right. How about the fantasy running back? You want most next year? Ashton Gente, Omarion Hampton.
All right. So I love the Hampton pick. And that was one that I feel like Harbaugh just sprinted up. And like, this is, this is my guy is a classic Harbaugh guy, North South strong runner.
It looks like Blake Coram, like the same type of deal. So I'm going to actually zag on this. I think happens. Going to have a huge fantasy season, fantasy tons of little, this crappy little goal line touchdowns that don't amount to much other than the six points. I think Hampton will have a bigger fantasy.
So you do again, I'm going to zag. I don't know who else is in the, who's in the running back room with Ashton Gente. You know, I, I mean, Gente is going to get the, the rock, no, he'll get big. I mean, Najee Harrison, Omarion Hampton, I got to see how they're splitting it up.
So I'm going to take Gente. These two teams made a deal with each other last night, bigger winner of the first round Rams or Falcons. Oh, okay. I thought you were going to say Eagles and chiefs Rams or Falcons.
Go ahead. Rich. I mean, first round Rams didn't make a pick and the Falcons got two, but now they have two first round picks next year. I understand that. So that makes them a winner of next year's first year. Correct. But did they win last night?
They made a, come on, you know, I love less need and less I trust and come on now. And I think the Rams have uniquely positioned them suddenly have more picks than they know what to do with. Well, the Rams, again, if you think next year's class is deeper, if you think, you know, arch may come out, if you're thinking all this sort of stuff, then you position yourself for next year.
You don't need a, you don't need to stick a new quarterback in the room this year with Matthew Stafford and go for next year. So they're a winner maybe of next year's first round, but I'll take the Falcons who finally got the pass rush handled. You know, I actually agree with the Falcons too. The Falcons are becoming my favorite team at the draft. They just show up, hammered every single year, something insane, like watch out for these crazy Falcons after last year, they followed up with this.
This was the draft. You just, just chill, just have a water, sit in the corner, Atlanta and have a water. No, they're doing keg stands again. I love it.
I'll go with Atlanta. Yeah. It's like, you know how they come to the draft. They're like, they're like partying and dancing at one 30 to Bachman Turner overdrive, man. Take care of business, rich, rich, and I have earplugs in saying, well, you every day, every way I have loved my time in Green Bay, but I turned into judge Smales last night at one 30 in the morning.
Don't you people have homes? I'm trying to sleep. I know.
Okay. As soon as I get so mad at them though, I'll see some piece of Wisconsin charm. There's a big banner. I walked past today. I'm like, drink Wisconsin bleed and I'm like, perfect. I love you, Wisconsin.
Just not at one 30 in the morning. No, no, no, no. Okay. I wrote this.
Not knowing you're going to be here, but it's actually perfect Kyle. More likely tight end to have the most Bowers like 2025 season. Tyler Warren, Colston Loveland. You know, I'm going, I'm going with this one. You know where I'm going with this one. Lovejoy. No, I'm going to go with Tyler Warren actually. Oh really? Okay.
Yeah, I will. I'm going with Colston Loveland, but Tyler Warren is, he has got himself a great setup right now. This is the only question is, you know, how is Daniel Jones going to find him? Cause you know, he's going to start that season. Oh no, no doubt. No doubt. Right? Yes. He will start the season. If I had any doubt about Colston Loveland after the interview, I already talked about when they went to his family's draft room and there were two full ass deer mounted on the wall. And I was like, this guy, I want him as my tight end.
I'm talking 16 pointers. It looked like a Brad Wesley's basement and rode across. Like where exactly are you living?
I'm going with Loveland. I love that guy. All right. I just zagged. All right. Last one.
Last one. The more likely one of our teams, meaning Patriots, Jets, Cowboys, that will regret passing on a skill player the most because we all took linemen. It won't be you. We had the boring draft.
It won't, no dude, stop it. We did have a boring draft. No. Jets, Cowboys, Patriots. I'll go Cowboys.
I'll go with the Dallas Cowboys. Dude. No, seriously. You know it too.
TJ. What do I know? You know it too. Come on. You got to build that line, man.
Okay. And that's what the Jets did. And that's what the Patriots did too.
But the Dallas Cal, I mean, at some point again, let's see how, what they do. Do they get one of those Ohio state running backs tonight? Yeah. You got it. Yeah. I'm talking my voice just went up six. I went higher register. How is what I did.
In back-to-back drafts, the Cal, the Jets passed on Brock Bowers and one of these tight ends. I know that. Trust me. I get it.
I fully understand it. Put up the TJ Micah Parsons. Oh.
What do we got? Burn this picture, man. This is how Us Magazine is like who, who wore it better. Sure. Right.
Okay. So who wore their disappointment with Tyler Booker over Tyler Warren better? Is it TJ in the Appleton bar with the rest of the Rich Eisen show crew or Micah Parsons live on bleacher report last night?
What do you think? TJ looks worse than the Ms on that plane. That looks terrible. Micah's got that look of, I know I'm on camera. I know this is going to be a problem.
Don't do it. Wait, that bottom lip. And CJ says, I don't give a damn in my bandana and my beard.
I think, I think it's Micah does a better job concealing it. This is like the theater masks. Like one's supposed to be happy and one's supposed to be sad. Except both are tragedy. Tragedy. What are we doing? This is both Romeo and Juliet. Um, I TJ, you're not hiding anything at all. No, that's right.
I was trying to take it all in Penn state guys who thought Penn state was about to be the Dallas Cowboys, but nope. That's what's more likely presented by spectrum, elevate your home internet with a fast and reliable connection backed by a local team. That's there when you need them make more things possible with spectrum today. Um, all right, before we send Kyle off, we've been hanging on to this story for, uh, for three days. Uh, when do you like getting on a plane, Kyle, immediately when your row, your, your, your boarding zone is called or you can, you can hang out and just, and, and wait to board.
I'm one of those insufferable hovering doorbusters as soon as, as soon as you can get on, you get on. Right. And if I can cheat a landing zone and they're still on one and I'm two, I'll go anyway. I almost like you remember how Larry David once upon a time, uh, picked up somebody so he could use the diamond lane. Right. And I was like, I might just, I might just go ahead and get a child, you know, just so I could board early or a serviceman or someone elderly or an infirm. Exactly. I befriend people just so I can maybe jump the line.
Wedding crashers. These are our purple hearts. Exactly.
I would consider that. So Ted McMillan and his family were, were on our plane coming here. I was zone one.
They were zoned one. I turned to Chris and you can tell him what I said because I don't care if he's getting drafted early tonight. I'm getting on that. I'm getting on that plane first.
Wow. And I, I, I, I said hello to them. We chit chatted. You see, I walked up to them, it was like, it was a, it was a, it's not almost, it was a chat and cut.
I absolutely used the McMillan. Hey, Ted McMillan, I used you and your family to chat and cuts it okay. To get that first position. And I turned to him as they kind of want to, a couple of them kind of looked at me like I was a little bit. I said, I was the first overall pick of NFL network 22 drafts ago. That's what I said to him. Okay. As I inch forward and got on the plane and he said, and I am, I, and I am not, I said way before you were born, I was the first round draft choice.
First overall pick of NFL network 22 drafts ago. And I, I just, I don't care. I respect it. Veteran move. I don't care because the overhead bins were tight, tight. There was a tight fix and I was not checking a bag. You're one eight. How's it tight? Excuse me. Tight commuter. There's no one on the plane. I don't care. Small plane.
I was on the PGA. This is the way I said, giveth and taketh away with Wisconsin. It's like the island of misfit planes. Like, I don't know where they're getting these things, but the up the hub, the bins are like, you can put your wallet in there and that's it.
You can't. And so rich is like, I'm not checking this bag. I totally get it. It turns into roller ball. Like you got to get on that thing and throw an elbow. I don't believe it. I was looking for babies and the elderly to say, do you want to come on about it or what else you can do, rich is you can also fake your own injury.
If you have a limp and you sell it, yeah, those, those plants are small. Booger McFarland was sitting next to me in the plane tilted when he got, Oh boy. Wow.
Now it sounds, it's like getting personal. I was just business. I actually know I was first. Oh boy. Everybody. Congrats on the Emmy nomination football.

So I moved to the States in southern 18 in August. With no English I did not play any I did not I just knew about football that people were running and hitting each other.
That's all I know. And my brother played the wide receiver he coached the wide receivers. And that time I was like 200 pounds, 196 foot. I was I was very small, but I was very like clean says a wide receiver type of body. And my brother was like, OK, we're going to try him as a wide receiver and see if he can catch the ball. Couldn't catch the ball.
You try him as a linebacker. There's just too much stuff going on. There's people moving everywhere. So I was like panic attack. So these just put me in a D line and told me to go get the guy who has the ball. And I was always strong. So it was like a strong athlete from the CrossFit. So I was like, OK, see ball, get ball.
I can do that. And I just start and I just start doing it. I just started like I didn't have the hottest start cost my team so much penalties because I just start grabbing face masks, just throwing people like hip hossing him. Exactly. You see, this is this is the word that I told my coach and I was like, coach, I can't do that. What?
And he's like in an accent. And he was like right at every and every time after practical Mitch Olson, he goes, I met no, you can't do that. And I was like, oh, OK, fine.
I'm not going to do it. But then one day where the D1 like in the NFL dream started, I did not know what the NFL was. One day at one time, I was like I was watching the NFL and I saw Aaron Donald play.
Oh, boy. I was like, I mean, he was like dominating people. And I was like, what high school he goes to. That's the NFL NFL. What's that?
And he was like, bro, that's the National Football League. I was OK. I want to go there. I want to play that. I want to be like that guy.
And he was OK. I'm going to start taking him to camps. And you got to have to show yourself. I was like, OK, take me.
So he just start taking me to like Wintersocle camps and start taking me to like all these different camps. And I just start going and dominating people. I was literally watching YouTube videos about how to pass rush. And I was like, OK, a guy stopping me from getting to this guy. But there was one guy stopping.
So how to either go through him or go around and play is that it is that simple when you think about it. And I just start dominating. Like I started dominating people from modern day basketball, five stars, four stars, like you name it. Pull me at the three. I dominate.
Put me at four, five, six, nine, whatever. So offers start just rolling in and people start knowing my name and who I was. And this is why I believe in God such as like a good God and to be the first Egyptian to ever do it. It's amazing to me. Spencer Danielson, he was the D-Line coach back then.
Yes. He played with my brother at Azusa Pacific in college. So when I was getting recruited and getting known, he texted me and he was like, hey, loved your film. And I got excited. That boy just texted me.
I was like, wow, brother, check this out. Had you ever heard of Idaho? Never.
Never. I only know like Boise State was the blue field. So I literally like committed on the spot. Coach D called me in a virtual like meeting and show me the facility. And he was like, I'm coming to your school. I feel like God called me to be here and best decision I ever made to be able to stay. And it taught me so much other than football. It told me how to be a man, how to lead men, how to be myself and just have so much energy and just dominate and have that mentality of like, well, I'll do whatever it takes to get there, you know, and just have that toughness and, you know, and just the work ethic and really grateful for Boise State. Achmed Hassanein may be my favorite interview he conducted of all the prospects and he may be the last one that we interviewed to be drafted.

We leave our time here in Green Bay with the last word from Travis Hunter, who was introduced today in Jacksonville, Florida, by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Kudos to the member of the media who asked him who would win the jump ball, the wide receiver version of Travis Hunter or cornerback Travis Hunter.
I'll give you a hypothetical real quick because of your competitiveness. It's fourth and seven. You break the huddle, it's one on one and Travis Hunter, the wide receiver, sees Travis Hunter the corner across from him and the ball's coming your way.
Which one of y'all comes down with it? Travis Hunter. He's just a star of stars, guys. Yeah. Yeah. He's awesome.
Star of stars. And obviously, you know, the first thing I, well, the first, not obviously, but the first thing I asked of Jack Andred, our outstanding researcher on the set, I'm like, does Jacksonville play Cleveland this year? They don't. They don't. Oh, bummer. Well, maybe in the playoffs.
Perhaps. I mean, because they will be attached. They will be attached forevermore. The Browns had a chance to get them.
They didn't. And that's all due respect to Mason Graham, the Michigan Wolverine. They chose fifth overall, who I adore and is awesome and can be a difference maker.
