Welcome fellow adventurers to the Masculine Journey Joyride Podcast. This is a brand new show from the guys you know. I'm talking of course about the Band of Brothers. In this podcast, you will hear funny stories, exchanges, and thought-provoking moments that will amuse you, make you smile, and draw you closer to Jesus Christ in your journey of life.

Hey, Joyriders! This week, the guys discussed the impact that kids have made on our lives. So I thought and thought. And then I thought, it shouldn't take me this long to come up with an example of how kids affect us. As I was thinking, my daughter asked me for help with a homework problem.

That's it! Kids are inquisitive. They ask tons of questions.

They ask their parents questions, grandparents, aunts, and uncles. Where do you live? In the city. Do you have a house? Apartment. Do you want to rent? Rent. What do you do for a living?

Lots of things. Where's your office? I don't have one. How come? I don't need one.

Where's your wife? Don't have one. How come? It's a long story. Do you have kids? No, I don't.

How come? It's an even longer story. Are you my dad's brother? What's your record for consecutive questions asked?

38. I'm your dad's brother, alright. You have much more hair on your nose than my dad. How nice of you to notice. I'm a kid. That's my job. Kids keep our minds sharp. Honesty is another way they impact us. Kids are oftentimes very honest.

Sometimes brutally, but it comes from a good place. My dad repairs red cars driven by women who have pinheads. My dad doesn't live with us anymore. He lives in New York and drives a taxi. My mom hopes he's going to die real soon. My dad works on computers and he's the boss of his company and he has a mustache and a beard.

Yeah, he doesn't have that much hair and his head is so big that he can't wear any hats. Heh, speaks volumes, doesn't it? Those are just a couple of ways that kids can impact our lives. But that's what's so great about having children. There's always something new to learn and they keep us on our toes. They enrich our lives in so many ways.

As parents, we're blessed to have them and they deserve to be protected. Could be we three get along so famously cause we two have you and I have you too. The song from Rascal Flatts, My Wish, obviously the name of the song. Not the end of the bump, but the song. That'd be my wah.

That's his wish for his kids and who wouldn't wish that for his kids? Your worries stay small, your dreams stay big. You gonna start singing, Danny? No, I won't sing. It's not my gifting.

Trust me. No, I know. I've always loved that song, despite what you think there.

But I like the song and it just spoke to the topic for me. Yeah, I was gonna actually say that's probably one of the best bumps we've had in a long time. Say it again?

Yeah, I know I said it. You can go back and you can listen to it on the show. I'm not saying it twice, but if you want to listen to the show, Bascogerdy.org or any other podcast outlet, you can pick it up there. Best bump ever. It was a pretty good one. That was a pretty good one. Fits the topic well. It was very upbeat.

Yeah, good choice. It wasn't wishy washy. It wasn't wishy washy or wah wah wah wah or anything like that. There was no wish at the end?

There was no wish. I understand. It wasn't even about 99% good. It was almost there. Hey. Yeah. Yeah.

Anyway, thank you, Danny. That was a great bump. Now, Robby, you actually have the next clip or clips. It's kind of funny. If you'd been here for the pre-show, Sam went on to say, you know, I didn't do a clip, you know, about all my four kids.

Because if you've only got four kids, you don't want to take up the whole show. And I'm sitting there going, well, my clip got in. Well, to be fair, we're kind of used to you taking up the second half of the show. So from the guys on Masculine Journey, I'm Keith, and we'll see you down the road. This is the Truth Network.
