Jesus said, Blessed are the persecuted and they are suffering big time right now. This is Bible League International and 19-year-old Aria was beaten by her own father and violated by local authorities. You know what her crime was?
Simply that she gave her life to Jesus Christ after leaving radical Islam. They need Bibles in order to endure and persevere. And that's why Truth Network and Bible League are teamed up to send God's Word to 3500 persecuted believers around the world at five dollars a Bible.
A hundred dollars sends 20. Call 800-Yes-Word, 800-Yes-Word, 800-Yes-Word or give at truthnetwork.com. This is the Truth Network. Welcome fellow adventurers to the Masculine Journey Joyride Podcast. This is a brand new show from the guys you know.
I'm talking of course about the Band of Brothers. My name is Keith and I'm the producer for Masculine Journey and Masculine Journey After Hours. In this podcast, you will hear funny stories, exchanges, and thought-provoking moments that will amuse you, make you smile, and draw you closer to Jesus Christ in your journey of life. Hey, joyriders. New week, new joyride. So the clip this week is from an episode of the Masculine Journey After Hours. The clip deals with what you should not do when returning home from bootcamp weekend.
But before we get to the clip, here's a word from our brand new sponsor. Hey, friends, the time has come to make your life easier with Flicky Flacky. Flicky Flacky is a product that will make all of your household products a thing of the past.
You can buy this product for all items or so. So remember, friends, don't be ticky tacky. Buy Flicky Flacky. Yeah, I don't know what to say.
They told me to read it and I don't even know what Flicky Flacky is, but you can buy it just about anywhere, I guess. Anyway, let's just get to the clip. I think one of the pieces of advice we gave guys was one that we got when we went to a bootcamp, and that is do not go home and say, I'm healed. I'm healed.
I'm great. You know, honey, I've had breakthrough, you know. Because that bites you. I mean, we can feel that way, but our feelings are deceptive. We need to have God tell us that before it's true.
And you hit one of my favorite subjects. We see what we want to see. We hear what we want to hear. Rarely do we get a clear picture of what somebody else is seeing because we're looking at it through our personal lens of, you know, our personalities, our past hurts. I mean, one of my problems is my name, James, which is from Yaakov, the deceiver, the supplanter. And I was a people pleaser, still am. I want people to like me.
I want to tell them what they want to hear, whether it's the truth or not. And that is one of my slippery slopes. Yes, I found it's a precipice. It's not a slope. Or a cliff, if you don't know what a precipice is. Yeah, I assumed cliff, but I didn't know for sure. Thank you. So from the guys on Masculine Journey, I'm Keith, and we'll see you down the road. This is the Truth Network.
