Blind faith is often misunderstood, but it's a crucial aspect of life, from trusting that a car will start in the morning to undergoing surgery with complete strangers. One man shares his personal experience of losing his sight and finding gratitude in the other senses God has given him, highlighting the importance of faith in our daily lives.

This is Michael Carbone with the Truth Network. We're partnering with Bible League International on Open the Floodgates, Bibles for Africa.

In many parts of countries like Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania, and Mozambique, as many as 9 out of 10 Christians are denied God's word by corrupt governments, majority religions, and poverty and remoteness. $5 sends a Bible. $100 sends 20. $500 sends 100. Call 800-Yes-Word.

That's 800-937-9673. Thank you for caring. This is the Truth Network. Welcome fellow adventurers to the Masculine Journey Joyride Podcast. This is a brand new show from the guys you know.

I'm talking, of course, about the Band of Brothers. My name is Keith and I'm the producer for Masculine Journey and Masculine Journey After Hours. In this podcast, you will hear funny stories, exchanges, and thought-provoking moments that will amuse you, make you smile, and draw you closer to Jesus Christ in your journey of life. You know, in the intro of this show, it's mentioned that you will hear thought-provoking moments.

Well, folks, I think this clip qualifies. Because blind faith means something a little different to you sometimes than it does us, but then you also have a point about how often we all step out in blind faith. That's exactly right because I've learned since I'm blind how grateful I am for the other senses that I have.

Feeling, hearing, and learning how much faith God has put into me because my sight is gone. How many people just get up in the morning, go out to the car, open the door, stick the key in there, and it's going to start? Well, how do you think that happens?

You know, you just think automatically it's going to start. You have to have faith in that. How are the people that are being wheeled in for an operation? They don't know who's in the operating room. They tell you to count to five, you can't get to four, and you're in there, and some stranger is going to cut you up, you know, and do what he's doing. That is blind faith. So from the guys on Masculine Journey, I'm Keith, and we'll see you down the road. This is the Truth Network.
