This week, the guys explore what it truly means to get filled up with the "good stuff" spiritually, how we receive the Holy Spirit, and the contrast between trying to fill ourselves with addictive habits (like anger, control, or validation) versus experiencing unexpected, genuine moments of spiritual fulfillment from God . Expect plenty of laughs, lighthearted tangents about musical glasses and nougat, and authentic conversations from godly men striving to honor and glorify God . This is the Truth Network. This is the Truth Network. Welcome to all you Joyriders out there. This is a fantastic show from the guys you know. I'm speaking of none other than the Banda Brothers.

My name's Keith, producer for such fine truth network programming like The Masculine Journey and Masculine Journey After Hours. In this podcast, you can expect to laugh and smile with godly men who want nothing more than to honor and glorify God.

So sit back, relax, and enjoy the joyride. Thank you. Thank you all. That piece, of course, was Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star in O Negative. Wait for the applause, wait for the applause, and.

Oh, hey, Joyriders. It is I, the great Cathedy. Yep, it's been a while, but I'm back in performance mode. I'm officially allowed to perform for an audience again. Legally.

So long as I stay away from the use of fire, fireworks, lighters of any kind, and sparklers if you can believe that, I tell you, you burn down one auditorium and they never let you forget it. Anyway. This week, the guides are talking about being filled up. Here's Darren to explain more. The topic is: you know, how do you get filled up?

How do you get the good stuff spiritually? There's a lot of ways, obviously, we get filled with the Holy Spirit. We're told that it's a promise. Jesus got it, it was a promise to him. But we also get filled up in a lot of other ways.

There you have it.

So, what does that have to do with musical glasses?

Well, Had to fill the glasses up with water, so you know, there's your tie. Mm-hmm. I can tell by your silence that you're impressed. Look, if you don't think about it, it makes perfect sense, okay? Just trust me.

Anyway. Alto the clip. Oh man, that's the twelfth glass today. For me personally, it. It usually the the best filling.

Sounds like I'm eating a three musketeer. Filling or failing? Yeah.

Well, filling, as in. Like cherry pie. Yeah, yeah, like nougat. Nougat. Yeah, we need some nougat.

That'll be our nickname from now on, nougat. Love it. But the best experience of being filled. Let me interrupt.

Sorry, it's like magical fluffy stuff. I don't know what it is. I don't know, but it's sticky. Just like this topic. Yeah.

Anyway, sorry. Let me digress a little bit. Yeah.

The times that I. Am filled by God, the best, seem to be kind of sneak attacks, you know? Not expecting it, not. Um don't have an agenda. I can sit down in the morning and I can, all right, God, here I am.

I've got four hours. Nobody's going to bother me. Everybody's asleep except for the dogs who will be back asleep shortly. Let's go. Crickets.

You know, I mean, and it just, it sometimes is just so hard to get into that feeling of, all right, God and I are. We're here. He's in my presence. I'm in his presence. And we are one with each other as Jesus prayed for us to be one with each other.

And he is just filling me with all of the goodness that I need. Or he's setting me free from all the badness that I don't need. I mean, all of those different things, right? Oftentimes when I walk away going man, That was amazing. was when I I had no agenda and I wasn't expecting it, you know, a A Sunday at church, you know, when the worship set is just amazing, or you know, everybody came that week deciding they were going to actually sing and not in the views.

But Those sorts of things, they stick with me. They last.

Now, There was a time in my life when I was searching for things to fill myself with. And those were More addictive qualities, um, pornography or anger or control or validation, any number of things. Um Expecting others to come through for me, that sort of stuff. And Those always left you hungrier. They always they they didn't leave you filled.

They left you empty. And you wanted more. I like nougat, which fills you right up. Nougat does fill you right up. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for nougat.

So from The Guides A Masculine Journey, I'm Keith and we'll see you down the road. This is the Truth Network. Yeah.
