The men of the Masculine Journey discuss the importance of vision and leadership, drawing parallels between the biblical story of Wallace and Jesus' promise of abundant life. They explore the idea that a good leader casts a vision for their followers, and that Jesus' message is one of sacrifice and risk for a greater reward.

This is the Truth Network. Welcome to all you Joyriders out there. This is a fantastic show from the guys you know. I'm speaking of none other than the Band of Brothers. My name's Keith, producer for such fine truth network programming like The Masculine Journey and Masculine Journey After Hours.

In this podcast, you can expect to laugh and smile with godly men who want nothing more than to honor and glorify God.

So sit back, relax, and enjoy the joyride. Hey Joyriders, it's a brand new week. Let's get you a brand new Joyride, kinda, sorta. Kinda, sorta. What do I mean by that?

Well, The intro that you're hearing right now is all new stuff. But The rest of the podcast is It's from an older episode of The Joy Rod because it's boop. Camp time. Let me say that again. Because it's boot camp time, you know why we do, so we gotta we gotta get in that boot camp feel so.

New intro, rest of the show, not so new, but still entertaining and funny. Please enjoy, or you'll enjoy. It's the joyride. It's funny. You have a good time.

I'm having a good time. Everyone's having a good time. All right, here we go.

Okay, so regarding the clip this week. I want you to keep something in mind. The men of the masculine journey are a great bunch of guys who love the Lord, love to laugh, and have fun.

So the boot camp is a great chance for you to meet and hang out with them. You're in for a good time. Also keep in mind, some of these guys will be teaching you at the boot camp.

So either way you look at it, you'll walk away from the boot camp weekend stronger in Christ, emboldened in your journey as a Christian with some good laughs and a few stories to tell. Andy, you want to tell us a little bit about? No, not yet.

Okay. No, not yet.

So anything else from the Brave Heart clip that you want to touch on that we didn't get to touch on on that side of it? Anything about why you think that that could be a potential representation of Jesus?

Well, he did call out their identity, but they didn't have a vision for freedom. They didn't have a vision for anything beyond. Long shank scraps and dying in their beds years later with no freedom and he cast that vision for them and I think that's what a good leader does and and if you think about it does Jesus not cast that vision? I mean he gives us the promise of abundant life if we go after it if we go after him but you know if he doesn't cast that vision you know then there's no desire for that well Wallace is casting that vision. Andy, you want to say something?

Yeah, I was just thinking as Andy was talking that very rarely does Jesus ever call you into something that's not bigger than you are or bigger than you can imagine it even happening. Right, and with a lot of risk. Yeah, lots of risk. Yeah, there's always risk. You know, I think that what was cool about we're going to have in the after hours, Charlie Wade's going to echo his inner brave heart.

Yeah, that's right. He is. A couple hundred years after that, I think. No, about 500. The other thing about it, there's two other things that jump out at me.

Number one, it's literally he will seek to lose his life, will gain it. Yeah. Right? In other words, there is the gospel message. Right.

Somebody said that one time, didn't they? Yeah. Wow. Yeah. Somebody said it.

And then the man said it. Yeah, John Elder said it, but it's I'm told that Jesus. The other man. Kevin Hands. Kevin Hands.

The son of man. Oh, oh, oh.

So from The Guides a Masculine Journey, I'm Keith and we'll see you down the road.
