So we start our second hour, it is the Jim Rome Show, which is presented by FanDuel. Appreciate my pals at FanDuel. All right, so I mentioned I had two big NFL names, and that's one of them: Jonathan Vilma. Great job by him. My thanks to Fox and Jonathan Vilma for making that happen.
Steve Outwater is coming up next. All fired up about that. All right, so let me start out with number two. Let's just jump right into it. I mentioned you may not be ready for it, but.
Well nobody really is. But Nobody really wants to think about it yet, but. It doesn't matter because yesterday the NBA had its big media day, nonetheless. And after one day, I have to admit, I already have Le Gramps fatigue. I'm already lacapped out.
And the season doesn't even start for a month.
Now, I will admit this much. Seeing this guy in Sixer blue is jarring, and it's hilarious. Like, it's actually real. LeBron is actually on the Sixers, and for some reason, I mean, even he doesn't seem completely sure what the reason is. For some reason he is, but even he seems unsure as to what that reason is, because he had to take time to remind the filmy media that actually he wanted to go to the Knicks.
But then the Knicks won it all, so he pivoted. Which I'm sure a Sixer fan was really hyped to hear. Sixer fan loves it when they're told that they're the second choice. behind the Knicks. Why he felt the need to say that, I have no idea.
Sixer fan, I'm sure, loved that. Just as I'm sure Sixer fan loved seeing him leave practice via helicopter because he won't live there in Philly, but he'll live in New York and commute. Don't mind all that noise. That's just Braun getting on his helicopter to get the hell out of this city as quickly as possible. I don't live here.
I don't wanna be amongst y'all. I'll work here. But I'm not living here and I'm not staying here. You know, I'm not hanging out here. That's Braun.
As soon as practice ends, get to the Chopo! Get to the Chopo, Braun! I'm sure Philly fan loves that. Why did you feel the need to let everybody know that Philly was not your first choice? I'm sure that's going to hype them up.
But never mind the time line there. Never mind that when Lecap supposedly made up his mind and picked the Knicks before the finals. What was what he's actually saying is He wasn't even sure that he was going to keep playing.
So, how did he actually decide that I'm going to play for them? When he was saying, I don't know if I'm going to play.
So either he was capping then or he's capping now, but he's capping.
So, what happened first? As always, Lecap, what happened first? In order for us to be great, We have to do things that are just not comfortable. We have to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. That is the best way to expedite.
being great. You have to fall in love with doing things that's uncomfortable. And if we can do that, And we can be a great team. If we don't do that, then we be like, oh man, it was a great team on paper, and we had a lot of great talent. We lost in the second round.
Right. I don't want to do that. I didn't leave my family to lead to lose in the second round. I know that for sure.
Well, he did leave his family. To live in New York. And play In Philadelphia. And not to lose in the second round. But he did leave his family, including his son.
He left him behind with the Lakers, and I don't really know what he expects the Lakers to do with that dude. Because that's not awkward. Yeah. But hey, Le Grampse. Good to know you're catching some reinvention pod with that.
We have to be comfortable being uncomfortable callback to quote expedite success. You need to keep listening though, because so far you don't seem reinvented at all. You just seem like that exact same bag and cap, only in six or blue. Oh, and be sure not to ask any of the Sixers who the alpha is there because they all know the answer already is yes. Is the Alpha Joel Enbed, the long time face of that team?
Is the Alpha Jalen Brown, the former finals MVP? Is the Alpha the guy who has emerged as the clear leader of that team, Tyrese Maxey? Or is the Alpha Lagote? Jalen Brown's answer to that question yesterday was. Uh The alpha is, and is that something that matters, and is that something that's going to come play out over time?
Next question. Dude, you did not next question. The only thing missing from that was: is that a question? Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah, is that a question? Yeah. Yeah. I think so. Yeah.
Is that a good question? Is that a question? Yeah. No, no, no. Yeah.
Yeah. No, no, no, no.
Next question. I think that's a good question. You know, actually, actually, my dude. It's a great question. Because if you don't sort that out, that's where chemistry rips apart.
So who is the alpha of that group? And does it really matter? Hell yes, it matters Look at who we're talking about. Of course, it matters. LeBague took his ball and he left LA when he lost his alpha status here.
Oh, I think it still matters to that guy. You, Jalen, you were never fully satisfied in Boston because you were not the unquestioned alpha there.
So now you're gone.
So I would think it matters to him too. But sure, nothing to see here. It doesn't matter.
Next question. Next question. Come on. Ah All right, so that's there. How about the next team?
Enough about the Sixers. Why don't we talk for a minute about the Raptors, which I don't do all that often, although I do like their head coach and I do like Scotty Barnes. And I also like how you coach loves Scotty Barnes. Scotty Barnes. And now they've got Scotty Barnes.
And some help in the form of that basketball mercenary/slash fugitive future Hall of Famer Kawhi Leonard. And the way Kawhi showed up to Raptors Media Day really was pretty spectacular. Even for him, what I'm about to play was literally his opening statement. Literally his first words since he returned to Toronto. Check this dude's act out.
Everyone. Thanks for coming. I know I'm excited to be here. I know why uh you know some of you guys came. You want to hear about um the investigation, but you know, talking with uh the NBA and the PA.
I think the best uh decision is to move forward and Focus on my time being a Toronto Raptor. This dude is all Like ear to ear. Hey, everybody, like cheesing so hard. Hey, everybody, really appreciate y'all coming. What's poppin'?
Great to be here. Great to see everybody. How y'all living? Like the most gracious host ever. I'm starting to actually appreciate.
How hilarious this dude is. And for so long, I thought, man, could this dude be any more sullen and expressionless? And then he shows up yesterday like this. The guy who never ever smiles or shows any personality at all. or says anything at all, really did sit down yesterday, beaming ear to ear with a whole opening statement that he had clearly rehearsed.
and practiced. Hey. He's up there, like, hey, everybody, what's up? Thanks for coming. Great to see y'all.
How y'all been? Then immediately drops the hammer on the room. He's like, I know why you're here. I know you all came to hear about the investigation, but too bad I got away with it. I got over like I always do, and I am moving forward and not looking back.
Go Raptors! But first, before we move on. I, Kawhi Leonard, do have one final official statement to make about the Clippers and the aspiration scandal and my total lack of punishment. And I'm going to say this, and then I'm not going to say anything else about it the rest of the year. But here is my official statement, and I will address this one time and one time only.
Here it is. Tell me what's the most amazing thing. No matter what happens, this dude comes out ahead, laughing his ass off. This dude is absolutely elite. and leaving things worse than he inherited them.
He makes every situation worse after he leaves than when he arrived. And always gets away with it. You almost have to respect it.
Now he really is laughing at us. Did you see the way he sat down, beaming ear to ear like I'm not telling you anything? I haven't seen anything like that. Since way back in the day when I was young and so brash and so full of fire and brimstone, and Marcus Allen came on our TV show, talked to, and for 42 minutes, I tried to ask him about OG, and he just shook me off the entire time. I haven't seen anybody grinning ear to ear after saying nothing.
Like Marcus Allen did that night, and then shoved it right in my face. He's like, damn, Rome, I gave you nothing, nothing. Yeah, I'm like I know Marcus I'm well aware, Marcus. I was there. I sat there for six segments asking you questions that you didn't answer, but I almost had to.
Respect it. Like he, the same thing. I haven't seen a smile like that after somebody said nothing since then. Except Marcus did it on live T V for forty two minutes. As far as Kawhi, he almost got to respect it, right?
This dude's getting over on everybody. He got over on Pop. And the Spurs. He got over on Balmer and the Clippers. He got over on Weak Ass Powder.
AKA Adam Silver. This dude gets over on everybody, which is why he showed up yesterday with that bleep. Eating grin, looking like he just got away with robbing a bank. Because he basically did. The thing I always come Or always have to couch my Kawhi comments with: is, I will say this: the guy can still ball.
The guy can still ball. It's not like we're talking about, I don't know. Ben Simmons here? No offence to Ben Simmons. But Ben Simmons is actually back, everybody.
for anybody left that actually cares. Ben Simmons. is on the Kings. And not only is he on the Kings. He is here to dominate.
every single time, every single minute that he steps onto the floor. His words, not mine, obviously. Because I don't know that anybody else on the planet besides Ben Simmons would say that Ben Simmons is about to dominate the NBA every minute and every time that he steps on the floor. It's kinda cringe, right? I want to save that thought.
Because I'm not the one or the only one suggesting that it's kind of cringe. There are others closer to him. That are doing the same. But I want to save that thought. Anyway, NBA Media Day.
Whether you wanted it or not, we got it. Major League Baseball Playoffs. Whether you want that or not, we're going to get them.
So in and around ball, football, we have basketball, we have baseball, and as somebody astutely pointed out yesterday, hey, Rome, what's going on? It's NHL Eve. Why are you not tying hockey? I'm trying to get to as much as I possibly can. When we come back, the Hall of Famer Steve Atwater joins us.

The least you can do is show up hungry. Welcome back in SoCal. I am Jim Rome. Right now we are joined by a legend. A legend of the game.
He is a member of the NFL Hall of Fame. He is a two-time Super Bowl champ, an eight-time Pro Bowler, a four-time all-pro, a member of the NFL 1990s all-decade team. He is a contributor to the Altitude Advantage podcast, which is available on Broncos.com. I'm talking, of course, about Steve Atwater. Steve, it is great to have you on the show.
Steve, how are you doing? Doing pretty good, Jim. How you doing, man? Haven't seen you in a minute, man. It's been a minute, Steve.
It's so good to see you, dude. It's so good to see you. In fact, bring me up to date. What is keeping you busy these days in addition to breaking down the Broncos as a podcast analyst?
Well, that's uh that's it. Uh I work for the Broncos. I've actually been with the team since uh 2017. Um and yeah, just been doing uh whatever I can here and there with the team. Uh not doing any of the coaching stuff, but uh more on the business side of some of our partners and uh you know radio here and just uh Some Some things that need to be done.
And I'm having a great time with it. Good for you, man. Good to see it. Steve Outwater joining us.
So, Steve, go back to Sunday night. The Broncos and they get that win over the ramps. During the second half, Steve, I went on X and I posted, How in the hell is this a one-score game? Because LA was dominating. What impressed you the most about Denver coming back in the manner they did?
Man, just the resilience that they showed. You know, it didn't seem like they ever really gave up. I know a lot of teams, if they're down, what, 16-0, a lot of teams will say, hey, man, they got us. But this team didn't do that. They fought back, made some plays defensively, and offense tightened up and made some touch plays, and everybody contributed.
A lot of different receivers caught passes. The amazing two-point conversion by Jalen Guaddo and Pat Bryant. And, you know, Bo Nix was threatening the needle, man. And it is amazing, though. It seems like two different seems like two different teams.
You know, the first half they came out, didn't play as well, but the second half, they really got on the same page and played extremely well. And I think that. With the character of the guys on this team, they can do that. They can win games when they have to win the games. Hall of Famer Steve Outwater joining us.
Steve, you mentioned Bo Nix. Let me ask you about him because he showed that uncanny ability, once again, to play his best when the game is on the line. How much of that do you think is the adjustments the coaching staff makes at halftime? And then, how much of that is just the way that's the way that dude is built? That's the way that dude is wired?
Yeah, well, I think it's a little bit of both, right? You know, when you. Go back and look at what you did the first half at that halftime. There's always going to be a few adjustments. Even if you're playing well, there are going to be a few adjustments.
But, you know, he also just has that gene. He's had it ever since his rookie year. He had it back at college. You know, he'd be down games and he'd make a comeback, and whether he had to run the ball or throw the ball and make some. Spit second decisions, he usually ends up making the right decisions and throwing accurate passes, extremely accurate passes when you need them.
I know you saw that two-point conversion, just how it barely missed the defender's helmet, and Jalen Waddell was able to catch that right at the end back of the end zone. Just a beautiful, beautiful play in a clutch situation. Because if we hadn't gotten that two-pointer, then hey, the game, you know, we probably wouldn't have been in the game there.
So he's been making big plays from day one, and I think that he'll continue to do that. It's true. It's an incredible ball, an incredible pass. Steve Outwater is joining us. Steve, nobody questions the greatness of Patrick Sertan II.
He did take some heat for the big numbers that Devontae Adams put up in the first half, but that'll happen. And he came back in the second half and he played huge. Time will tell. He's got a lot of ball in front of him, but do you expect the four-time Pro Bowl corner to join you in Canton when it's all said and done? Oh, man, come on.
Without a doubt, without a doubt. He's such a great player, such a great leader for this team, for all the young defensive backs and other teammates. He just sets the right tone. He does the right things. He works extremely hard, and he's extremely talented.
And those are great traits to have to have the skills and the talent, but also be a hard worker. And he sets an example, again, for a lot of the guys on that team. And I think if he continues to play the way that he plays, no doubt.
Now, the question would be, is he first ballot or not?
So I'm praying that he stays healthy and continues to do his thing. But he's a great young man. Yeah, pure class, both on and off the field. The Hall of Fame of Steve Outwater joining us. Steve, you, of course, were known as the Smiling Assassin because of your ability to bring some serious lumber.
I could actually. Ask you about any number of memorable hits, but I mean, just kind of. Placate me a little bit here, just because this is the one that everybody will always bring up. Everybody will always remember. You already know where I'm going with this.
1990, Christian Okoye, there you were to meet him and light him up. I can still hear the crash, man, the explosion. If I show it to you, can you take us through it one more time? Because it is truly a legendary NFL play. I'll try.
I'll try. Okay. We're going to roll this thing in. This was an amazing play. Christian Okoye, and I remember him.
See, the amazing thing was: I went to a school, UC Santa Barbara. We were a club football team. He went to Azusa Pacific. We played clubba. Why this guy was playing against our frat boys?
I have no idea. But you came in and you filled that hole and you met him head on. I'm going to have it in a minute. But he was abusing dudes back in the day. He was so physical.
And if he took on a DB, it would seem like a mismatch. Yet you were there. When I get to this play, can you remind me? Like, was this a play that you could look for, or did it have to be organic? And did you have to wait for something like that to kind of develop?
Could you look for a hit like this? Or did you have to wait? No, you can't look for it. It just happened. And I remember in practice leading up to the game, Dennis Smith, another good friend and mentor, Great Safety.
He said, Hey, Steve, we got to stay up high. And I'm like, what? You want to hit him up high? Why ain't Christian Nakoya? But I listened to him and it ended up working out there.
But, you know, as you know, playing the game, you get got sometimes as well, but you got to be willing to go in there and take that chance. And I did. And fortunately, on that play, it worked out. But I, you know, I still have a ton of respect for Christian Nakoya. He's a great, great guy and just a heck of a player, too.
But yeah, on that day, hey, it was my turn. And I'm glad it turned out the way it did. I'm sorry, it took me so long to find this thing. That's not it. But that's part of being the smiling assassin.
There was plenty of that. There was plenty of that. Anyway, I.
Sorry about that. I thought, yeah, ooh. That did hurt, huh?
So if you and Dennis were flying around, Steve, how much friendly fire did you guys take back in the day?
Well, not much from each other, but we gave out some to our teammates, unfortunately. You know, I remember, I just know Carl Mecklenburg, he just tells the story of, you know, he's telling the guy when he has him in the grass, Jason, you better get down, better get down before Dennis and Steve get there. But Dennis, he was just on a whole nother level, man. He was. Extremely hard hitter, had no fear at all.
And man, I'm hoping that evincily he will get in the Pro Football Hall of Fame as well. He and Carl Mecklenburg, two great players. And, you know, I got a chance to see how those guys played up close and personal. And they're very deserving. Hey, Steve Alwar joining us.
Steve, were you, you and Dennis, were you the hardest-hitting tandem in league history? Could you make that argument? Here we go. Better late than never, my man. Better late than never.
There we go. There we go. There we go. Yes, that hole opened up, man. And man, just adrenaline took over.
And again, fortunately, I was the one that left standing after that play because you could have could have gone the other way. But yeah, again, just the thing I love about the game, too, is that. Although, you know, we're competing, we're going against each other, you know, we're all human beings, man. And being able to chop it up with him today and even several years after we've played the game, man, is really cool. Is that something you guys can?
Well, I know you can laugh about that. Is Christian? He's such a good dude. He's a good dude. Yeah, we can.
Can he laugh that off years later? Oh, yeah, 100%. You know, because I mean, we're not talking noise. I have a ton of respect for him. We both respect each other.
And, you know, we play the game. And, you know, You played a game. A lot of times it's going to be good, but it's going to be some bad stuff too. And, you know, I've gotten run over before and I popped back up and went in there and tried to do it again.
So it's a part of the game, but that's the beauty of the game, too, because you don't know for sure if. Going to make that big hit, or the guy's going to run you over, or make you miss, juke you, and make you look crazy. Hey, we we we try and uh we get up and we try again. Steve, one last thought about the game. Like, it's a humbling game, Steve Outwater joining us.
When you have a hit like that, what kind of an effect would a hit like that have not only on the defense but the entire team? Oh man, it gets everybody fired up. And I remember watching Ronnie Lott when I was younger, and I remember just seeing him fly in there and I'd get up like, Oh, what was that? And uh, I wanted people to have that type of reaction when I played, and um, you know, and getting a chance to play with Dennis, he did that as well. Uh, and I got a chance to see it up close and personal, so uh, that was that was very inspiring.
Uh, and I know it gets the teammates pumped up, it gets the crowd pumped up, gets everybody hyped, except for your family. Your family may be a little scared, especially when you're uh on the field a little longer after the play. You may have to take you a couple of you know, 10-15 seconds longer to get up when you're hitting like that. But um, you know, it's all good. Oh, no doubt.
So, one last thought, you mentioned Ronnie Lott. Ronnie, there's nobody like Ronnie Lott, really. Who were some of the other guys that you had immense respect for? The way they played the game, the way they carried themselves, guys like Ronnie Lott, who would you include in that same category?
Well, these are guys who I got to know. And then also when I was in college, I looked at film on. Dennis Smith won, got a chance to play side by side with him Saw just he had another level of just aversion to fear. He wasn't afraid of anything. And also the assassin, Jack Tatum.
That guy would run full speed into guys that were much larger than him and come out on top so many times.
So I tried to pattern my game after them. And of course, Ronnie Locke. Those are the three guys that I tried to pattern my game after. He is a Hall of Famer. He is a two-time Super Bowl champ, eight-time Pro Bowler, four-time all-pro, and a contributor to the Altitude Advantage podcast.
He is Steve Atwater. Steve, so good to get caught up, man. Appreciate you. Great to have you on the show. Really good to see you, Steve.
Thank you. Hey, Jim, thanks for having me on, man. Great seeing you too. Hope to see you in person sometime soon, too. You got it.
You're the best, Steve. Appreciate you, dude. Such a great dude. Such a great dude. My favorite part about Steve Outwater: one, great dude.
Great, great dude. Everybody, especially in that region, loves Steve Outwater. But man, he was fierce. He was absolutely a ferocious hitter. Ferocious hitter.
We might have been a little bit late getting to it, but that video, and for those of you who remember, it's one of the most famous plays, really, in league history. But Krishna Koye, once he got going downhill, man, forget it. And. Steve Outwater came up and met him like that. The way he knocked Krishna Koye backwards was absolutely incredible.
And that was on a Monday night.
So everybody saw it. It's like, holy crap. Steve Outwater just coming in like a heat-sinking missile and knocking Christian Okoye back was amazing. All right, your thoughts on that? When we come back, we are open the rest of the way.
So, you know where to find me. I've got more things to get to. We've already hit basketball. I want to hit some baseball. I've got some more football and plenty of room for you to engage if you want.

I got up early. The least you can do is show up hungry. Alright, so I spend the opening of the program, or at least the very top of the show, and I talk about it: hey, you clones, you've done such an amazing job with the phones. Keep it up, keep it up. Let's keep that momentum going.
Uh Go ahead, reset it. About halfway through it. It's not too late. It's like the second half of a football game. Doesn't matter what happened in the first half.

Yo, chat, I see you. What's up, chat? Quote, I'm glad Steve's eggs Aren't scrambled because he was a freaking weapon. He was so fierce. Man, my man was so intimidating.
Which that's why, when you talk to him, and he's always been like this, he's such a good dude. That's why he was the smiling assassin. He shows up, he couldn't be more friendly. Yet, when he's strapped it on, he couldn't be more terrifying. Calling Brian Dawkins, except Steve Outwater is even more upbeat, and I love Doc.
Doc's one of my favorite NFLers ever. Really good dude. Really good dude. Really devout. down to earth, grounded, and to Wolverine when he played.
Steve Steve Ottwater is just such a great dude, but when he played he was so ferocious. Yeah, at the Sterling Savant. These go back to Kauai. Kawhi took a page out of the Harbaugh playbook. and left town.
It's not everyone. It's that he left town. We already covered that. We knew he left town and we knew he got over. Like he got all those millions and millions and millions of dollars and just got the Clippers absolutely hammered.
Five first-round draft picks, the owner suspended for a year. $30 million fine. And all it cost Kauai was seven hundred grand. Walk around for a guy like that, given how many millions he took in that whole scandal. I'm excited to be here.
It's not that he left town. It's that he left town without repercussions. And then, as soon as he got to his next town, They gave him a hundred million dollar contract. And then he shows up and he sits down grinning ear to ear with this just absolute bleep. bleep eating grin.
Like, hey, everybody, here are everyone.
Well, I'm not answering any questions, but great to be here. What's going on? At Super J5, quote, Kawhi is a silly rabbit. His what? His silly rabbit.
Cowboy Fernando, 916. LeBron living in New York. To play in Philly is like me being named Cowboy Fernando only to root for the Niners. Cowboy Fernando, I I don't know who Who do you think you are? Coming in here every single day and saying, hey man.
Yeah, I'm Cowboy Fernando, but I root for the Niners. If you root for the Niners, then why is your handle Cowboy Fernando? Because you root for the Cowboys. Who are you trying to fool with that, dude? Why would you Give yourself the name Cowboy Fernando if you root for the Niners.
That makes no sense. Cowboy Fernando? But then again Being that you're a Cowboy fan, I can see why you wouldn't want anybody to know that. Quick update. Braves five.
Philly's three. Game one to the ATL. It has not been a very good twenty-four hours, has it, Philly fan? Hey Philly fan, where are you? First, the Eagles.
And now The floor is. You had the lead with two. Two outs in the bottom of the eighth. Joy did. And then Austin Riley hit a bomb.
Ouch. Man, it's been a bad 24. for Philadelphia fan. MP Charles 25. Get real.
Leon You're happier than a pig in slop. To get away from your family. Mm-hmm. We have to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. I I think it's gonna get uncomfortable there.
That whole thing about who is the alpha, next question. Because you know it's a legitimate question.
Next question. Because, how do you answer it, and how are those pieces going to fit? Yeah, I knew you got Hall of Famers on that team. I knew you got MVPs on that team. And you definitely have alphas on that team.
And you have guys that are not happy not being the guy. And now, all of a sudden, there's a lot of guys on that team that need to be the guy.
So, how is that going to work? One ball. And a multitude of gigantic egos. And guys needing to be the guy. And then when they're not the guy, they're not happy.
How can you act like it's not a thing? When it's the thing. How do these pieces fit together? How do these personalities fit together? And how weird does LeBron look in Six or Blue?
It absolutely is a thing. How can that not be a thing? And LeBron couldn't get out of Philly quickly enough after signing with Philly. Is practice over? Is the ch- Get me to the chopper!
Get to the chopper! Can I go back to New York yet? I've already been here three hours. Can't we practice in New York? Why do I have to come all the way down there to practice?
Can't you come to me? Can't you come to me? Wood laconic. Lacap telling Philly Media. that he's always wanted to play in New York is like my buddy reminding his wife a little too often that he always thought that her sister was cute.
I'm sure this is going to end well. That's pretty good. Uh I mean, why? I don't even understand that. Why would you show up in Philly?
And one of the first things you do is tell everybody, y'all weren't my first choice. You know that. Like, I was going to go to New York, and then they won it all, so I did a hard pivot.
Well wha why? How is that going to ingratiate you or endear you to any of them? Like, do you really think Philly fans could say, hey, man. At least we were your second choice.
Now Philly fan is not gonna like that at all. Especially when you run to the chopper. And remind them again: not only were you not my first choice, I'm not living here with the rest of you. No, no, I'm not calling Philly my home. No, I'm not gonna be here.
I will come play here. I think get the hell out as soon as I possibly can every single day. And I'm not even going to get into I don't care how much it costs. People are already making a a point of saying, man, do you know how many several hundreds of thousands of dollars it's going to cost him to commute Via the chopper? I don't even care how much it costs.
It's just the point that I'm not living there. Hey Rome, how about your guy? Kobe. How about Kobe living in Newport Beach and taking the Choppa? To LA.
Well Speaking Here's the thing. Speaking to somebody who grew up in LA. who then moved down in and around Newport I can see why Kobe did that. Newport Beach is one of the greatest places in the world.
So how is that different, Rome, for LeBron? Because Laker fan didn't give a damn. Laker fan didn't care where Kobe lived. Laker fan didn't care if Kobe lived in Newport Beach. or LA or the Valley.
As long as Kobe showed up. I bet Philly fan probably doesn't love That LeBron can't wait to get out of Philly. Every single day. Via the chopper. or that Philly was not actually his first choice.
Hey, look, as long as they win and they work it out. It's going to be fine. But it's gonna be really interesting. Really good thing. Have you seen also Joel, how thin he is, man, how fit he is, how much weight he dropped.
You know, and given that health is always an issue with Joel, I'm not going to question that. Hopefully, he does stay healthy. And that's going to be the whole point about that team, anyway, right? Given their age. And the Miles, can they stay healthy?
Can they stay healthy? Do the pieces fit on the floor? Do the personalities fit? If you're watching on the stream, can you see Joel? Man, look how fit he is.
It's incredible. I don't know how much weight he's lost. But he lost a lot of weight.
So Can they stay healthy? Do the pieces fit on the floor? There's still only one basketball, and will the personalities mesh? And how quickly can it all come together? It's going to be fascinating.
I can't wait to see it. Oh, and there goes LeBron. He's on his chopper. Is practice over? Good.
Get me the hell out of here. Yeah. At Chucky. Alden, quote, Dear Jim. I want to go to the Knicks.
But that would have been perceived as ring chasing. As a serial ring chaser, I have to ethically. Ring chase. Signed LE Ring Chaser. You know why?
He couldn't go to the Knicks because he wanted to be the reason they won the ring. But they won the ring without him. Therefore, he could not go there. It's not just I'm chasing a ring. He wanted to be the guy to deliver the ring for the first time in fifty years because he knew that would cement his legacy above and beyond everybody else.
If there was any question as to whether or not he was the goat, if he delivered the ring, To New York. He would have been the ass. Absolute goat of goats, but Brunson beat him to it.
So it couldn't go there.
Alright, so what's the next best thing? Delivering a ring to Philadelphia. I see him working. Ed Heatbagger, dear Philly fan. We've been losing games like this for fifty years.
Signed Mariners Fan. War playoffs. War V in the Fee Tour stop. What? What does that even mean?
Wh what does that even mean? A war V in the fee tour stop. Listen, bro, if V wants to. host his own get-together, he's more than welcome to do it. And if you five people want to show up for it, you go right ahead.
You're not asking me to go to Menophy, are you?
So me and V can talk about our Vikings? I've never been to Menafe. Nor do I think I ever will go to Menifee, not even for V, or quote V's Torstop, or our Vikings. Right. Hey, heatbagger, if you want to go hang out with V at his tour stop, go right ahead.
What's stopping you? Hey, Jim, I think Case Kingdom's performance was worthy of taking a dump on the field. Signed, Colin Simmons. Mike and Temacula, there you go. Little rowy, I agree with that.
I agree with that. Not that Case Keenum would ever do anything like that, but his performance was worthy. He was launching quote piss missiles, although he would never describe it like that. Absolute piss missile up the Absolute. Stay tuned.
My dough never sees a freezer. Faye Hollis makes the biscuits at Hardee's. I'm up at 5 a.m. every day making biscuits from scratch. Easy there, biscuit lady.
Ought to create the Hardee's $2 for $5 breakfast menu. Try the new Oscar Meyer bologna biscuit, sausage and egg biscuit, smoked sausage biscuit, biscuit and gravy, or a cinnamon roll. The $2 for $5 breakfast for a limited time only at participating Hardees. I got up early. The least you can do is show up hungry.
