If you missed it live, don't worry, we say the best parts. This is the Drive Podcast. I've got it. Welcome into the drive right here on WSJS. News Talk Sports for the Triad.

I'm Will Dalton, also known as the WD. David Glenn is going to join us in hour number two. It's very fitting. That he joins us today, not only because the Kanes evened up the series last night with Vegas, but because Will Wade. Cannot stay out of the news.

We'll get to that here in just a minute. I'll tell you what I'm talking about. But We tried to tell you. We tried to tell you what this series was going to be between the hurricanes. And the Golden Knights.

We tried. Because We told you it was going to be high octane. High intensity, high speed, goals left and right. And that's what it's been. That's exactly what it's been.

In Carolina, they had to have it. They had to have it. Last night, Detroit, they needed it to feel good and keep the series, you know, kind of. Flat line, neutral, even, two games apiece. Because if Vegas goes up 3-1, yeah.

Series isn't over by any means in this one. But you just, Vegas is too good. You don't want them to have any type of. edge or momentum any more than what They already have Head at times. You want to keep that back and forth element going.

And that is exactly what Carolina did. They got up off the mat. Following the double overtime crusher in game three. They answered They answered.

Now I will say this. If Carolina is ultimately able to take this thing the distance. If they're able to secure their first Stanley Cup. final win since 2006. The 20-year anniversary.

What better way to celebrate 20 years? Let's go get another one. Let's go do that. If they do that I like Jordan Stahl's chances of being the MVP. I really do.

Because last night He has now, after last night, I should say, he has scored in four straight. Stanley Cup final games. Four straight. Put two in the net last night. And the first one.

You know Or better yet, the second one he got while falling down. And that was a big one because it gave Carolina a 4-3 lead. In the third period, here is how it sounded. Our guy, Mike Manascalco. on the radio call.

Get it in. Yeah. The Ephozone but Joe Harris.

Now, giveaway. Jarvis goes in backhanded hard with the save. Oh, Jarvis all hold.

Now backhanded for the skull. And backhandy scores. He scores again. Oh, my goodness. The captain is unreal.

It is second in the game. It is pretty unreal for the captain. And if you're watching on YouTube and X, You see this incredible angle. In net, the innet camera angle. That ESPN got of this shot.

And you see it right there. He's falling down, just goes over the glove. of the goalie right there. Beautiful, beautiful play, beautiful goal. And With that, Jordan Stahl, is the first player since 1992 to have five goals.

We mentioned he's scored in four straight, but he would be the first player since 1992 to have five goals. in the first four games of the Stanley Cup final. It's a pretty cool deal.

Now Getting to the conversation in net, because that's where it was for the 48 hours leading up to this game. What's Rod Brendan Moore going to do? Is it going to be Brandon Bussey? Is it going to be Freddie Anderson after Vegas has scored on him 12 times? Freddie Anderson didn't practice the day before yesterday.

Now it was a maintenance day. Brandon Bussey was out there getting the reps. and Bussy were riding the Bussy. He got the start in net as I thought he would. And Freddie Anderson wasn't even the backup.

He wasn't even available. Rod Brendemore said that this decision was about a one-minute conversation with the goalie coach. And They just felt Freddie needed a break. And if it was going to be a break, it was going to be an actual break, not he's the backup. No, he didn't even dress out.

They gave him a legitimate. Break. And Getting the Brandon Bussey specifically. This was his first Stanley Cup. Final start.

It was his first Stanley Cup playoff start. and ultimately his first Stanley Cup final win. That's a pretty cool deal. And He was ready to go clearly when his number was called on in the third period of game three. when he stopped 18 of 19 attempts.

And last night was no exception. 18 saves on 21 attempts. He was Rod Brendemore. last night on Brandon Bussey being ready and rising to the moment last night. Wow, he was phenomenal and you know we got a taste of it the other night and it kind of just picked up right where he left off I thought and you know we gave up a couple you know breakaways early and just some breakdowns and he was just really solid all night and got to give him a lot of credit.

Pahuya. Lot of credit. His parents apparently flew out. From the East Coast to Vegas over the course of one day to be there and as fiancé or girlfriend, too. Um Uh they uh on the on the ESPN broadcast after the game, they were showing him His family's reaction to something big that was happening in the game.

And it really made him emotional. And it was an emotional night for Brandon Bussey. But The last thing I'll say: so the Kanes, they even up the series 2-2, heading back to Raleigh. But speaking of Raleigh, I have been loving seeing these. Watch parties that they've been having at the arena.

Sellouts. Sell out. I mean, you would think a game was going on on the ice. But it's just a watch party. And I mean, Carolina continues to bring the energy, even when the team's in Vegas.

But what's really cool that I. I didn't know this until last night. is they have And ice tra they have like some type of tracker. on the ice.

So if you're in the arena. And you're watching the game, and now it's up on the Jumbotron, the game itself. But they also have with the projectors, with the lights. It's literally a tracker on the physical ice of what's happening, who's where. In fact, if you're watching again here on YouTube and X.

On our stream. Shout out to Dennis. Dennis Cox of 999, the fan in Raleigh. This was him. He was at the watch party last night, and you can see it right here.

And this was on the Logan Stankoven goal, the first goal of the game. A minute, 26 seconds in. Just incredible how fast the Kane score, and there it is. And you can see the crowd going nuts and you can see, you know, the The dots and spots on the ice. It's so cool.

So cool. brings the energy and they're going to have it again in game five because now They It's still square zero. It's still zip-zip. It's two, two, it's all evened up. And.

Carolina, Vegas. This series has been everything and more that we could have asked for. 336-777-1600. That is the number to call. What's your reaction to Keynes evening up the series last night against Vegas?

How impressed were you with Brandon Bussey's performance in net? Want to hear from you? 336-777-1600. I'll go to the producer of the show, Morgan Corson. Did you watch this game last night?

What did you think? I did watch this game. I loved this game. I think that Carolina is probably one of the most resilient teams. that I have ever seen?

In any sport across the board, with the ability to just keep going and take the punches, just keep skating. Unbelievable. And they're doing it without their best light. Aho has been A non-factor, not just in this game, not just this series, but pretty much the playoffs, for what you pay him for, he is not doing that. Yeah.

100% agree. It's been great. I mean, it's one of the. We'll ask David Glenn about this next hour. I mean, this has been.

One of the best Stanley Cup finals ever. One of, maybe not the, but one of 100%. And David Glenn, he's covered a lot of hockey in his time.

So we'll. get his thoughts on that. But we let's keep it in Raleigh. Yeah. Let's do that.

Because Oh, boy. The Will Wade NC State saga appears to be far from over. It's still going on. It's not done. Three, even three months removed.

Apparently Will Wade, skipping town the way he did on NC State. Has led to NC State Launching an investigation Into whether or not LSU violated North Carolina law. by persuading Will Wade to return to Baton Rouge. They're suing or not suing. They not suing.

Open an investigation. They're taking legal action here.

So let's dive into the details a little bit here. According to this report by WRAL out there in Raleigh. N C State. They are so what what it's what's happened here is WRL they obtained some letters Between Um lawyers from both sides, from NC State and LSU. And according to the report, NC State is refusing to release LSU from potential legal action.

As they determine whether or not LSU violated North Carolina's Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

Now this might and again, this is why it's beautiful that David Glenn is joining us today because he's got a background in law. He also has covered the ACC forever and he knows how to break these things down in simple terms. But Here's my attempt to break this down in simple terms. What they're trying to say Is that there was funny business going on between LSU and Will Wade? There was communication, there was conversation, there was luring long before this went down.

And we already know that to be the case. Brendan Marks of the Athletic He wrote a story. Right back when this happened, And he said in his story that somebody close to Will Wade told the athletic that, quote, This has all been in the works.

Somebody else that's in That has deep LSU ties that is also close to Woolweight as well. Told the athletic that discussions about him coming back go back to last summer. It's been a month in the m it was months in the making. There were LSU people that co media that cover this stuff that Or close to the situation that said, yeah, this has been months in the making.

So, I mean NC State They might have something here because I do looking into this. about what exactly was in his contract. And He Uh agreed to advise The athletic director, Boo Corgan. quote in writing of quote Any inquiries or contacts exploring his interest in other employment. Apparently a quote written notice Had to separately That was defined separately in some other section of the contract.

The written notice is not a casual courtesy, apparently. It's a formal contractual requirement. And If Will Wade engaged with LSU before notifying Boo Corrigan in the contractually required form, or never gave the required written notice of LSU's interest. That is in fact an independent breach of contract.

So This has legs. This isn't just.

Now, don't get it twisted. NC State, Boo Corgan. Oh, they're absolutely trying to make Will Wade's life miserable. They're trying to be a little thorn in his side for what he did. They're trying to be a thorn in the side of LSU for what they did.

And they also know LSU has money. And they're going to get some. Probably. It's what this really all comes down to. But there's a little something to this.

There's some meat on the bone if you really look into it. Will Wade, NC State, that saga. They may not meet in the ACC-SCC challenge, but they very well may meet in court. It's far from over. David Glenn joins us to discuss this at hour number two.

What do you think about this, Morg? This is insane! Just let him go. Oh, I love the petty. I love the pettiness.

This is so petty. This is so petty. It is. He obviously didn't want to be there. Yeah, that much is So why would you want to keep bringing this up?

Well, that's why I said they They know LSU's got money that they could get because I mean, there is a little something to this. This is just so petty. They're acting like three-year-olds. Most of them. LSU, Will Wade, NC State, they're all three-year-olds right now.

They're just toddlers in the sandpit. I've got my popcorn out. No doubt about it. Let's go, baby! What kinda like this?

Let's go!

Now back to the drive. Back at it on the drive, right here on WSJS. Taking your phone calls, 336-777-1600. Your reaction to the Kanes evening up the series last night with Vegas just pouncing early. Just terrific play from Jordan Stahl, Brandon Bussey rising to the moment.

It was just terrific to watch. You know, it's like We thought they'd get up off the mat. We had the Kanes winning last night. They haven't lost back-to-back games since January, but at some point you wonder, it's like, is that streak going to run out? Is this going to be the time?

And it just never does. They keep bouncing back every single time. It's just incredible to watch. It really is. And so have these NBA finals.

And much like the Kanes bounce back in game four. On the road, I think the Knicks are going to bounce back game four at home in MSG. I do.

So one of the things that have has been Very interesting to watch in this series is how physical it's been. And a lot of times the whistle swallowed. Like they ain't calling a lot of stuff. In fact, To this point. That Push.

Hard shove. By Wimby on Jalen Brunson. We've seen Wimby get away with a number of things in these playoffs. There was the blatant elbow that happened way earlier in the playoffs. There was something that happened against the Thunder that.

That he didn't get a flagrant for too, or didn't get suspended for. I forget what it was, but he's gotten away with a couple of things in these playoffs, and he's gotten away with the third thing. Shoving Jalen Brunson the way he did hard. And Wimby's 7-4. Jalen Brunson isn't.

And shout out to Brunson, though, the dog he is. He went right at Wimby like he was going to do something about it. I love that about Jalen Brunson. But No flagrant. We were wondering yesterday, we talked about this a little bit.

Maybe the league would take a look at that play and give it a flagrant. Nope, no flagrant. That was reported. And Makes me wonder. I think the physicality of this series might ramp up.

another couple of notches. Because the Knicks They might feel they may have to get on the court and enforce this stuff. If it's not going to be officiated, like 'Cause again, like, these teams are very tight-knit. And you don't want to they don't want their play they don't want their teammates messed with. And They might feel that they have to enforce some things on the court.

Going to be curious to watch that element of it. Like, I saw. Draymond Green earlier today, he was on. Ian O'Connor's podcast. of Yahoo Sports.

And he essentially was saying that if that had happened to Steph Curry, Dre wouldn't be in the game much longer. He wouldn't be in very very long after that. He would have handled it.

So I think it's going to get more physical. I think that's going to pick up a little bit. And. I think Carl Anthony Towns is going to get more involved offensively. I think that's what's going to happen.

So the other night in game three, Had one assist. He's been pretty good for a handful of assists. That hurt my pockets. 'Cause I had him going for Over three and a half, and he had one. But a lot of that was because of how Jalen Brunson was playing.

Jalen Brunson took like 25 shots or something like that. Give or take. And because of that, Josh Hart, who was getting great looks. in the first half and hitting them. He didn't he start to taper off a little bit, those looks.

One getting them. OG Ananobi clearly was on. He wasn't getting as many looks. And Cat wasn't getting involved the way he like cat looked like Minnesota Cat. And the Knicks looked like they did before they really started to pop off like this.

So, I think Carl Anthony Towns gets more involved offensively. I think Jalen Brunson. And shout out to Stefan Tassel, by the way. Have you seen the way Stefan Castle has been defending guards in these playoffs? Shut SG not shut down, but.

Caused SGA to have one of his worst series in his career in the playoffs, and now Jalen Brunson, kind of the same. Have you noticed that? I have, and I have a stat on Stephon Castle here. Great. Love it.

Stephon Castle and Victor Wembanyama went for twenty five and five in the same game for the second time this postseason. That number of 25 and 5 games. For all other duos below the age of 22 in NBA history combined.

So they have the most this run than the rest of the 22-year-olds in NBA history. Just crazy.

So much young talent in this league.

So much young talent in these finals, these playoffs. It's been so much fun to watch, but That's what I think happens tonight. I think the physicality picks up even more. I think cat gets more. He gets back to what he's been doing offensively.

And I think he's able to do that because Jalen Brunson is going to. Stop playing or stopped trying to play as much hero ball as he did in game three. I think the Knicks even it up to go back to San Antonio tied to a Peace.

Now Let's play some bets. How did the Bets do last night? Let's get into it in Dalton's dollars. That's Stack the stack, gotta stack it up. Get the money, get the money all the time, though.

It's time to cash in. Welcome to Dalton's Dollars. Drop me the money! Show me the money. Breaking down the board and building the bankroll.

All right.

So We finally dipped under 500. For the first time. And we sat at 25 and 26. We placed. Four bets though.

We put four on the card for last night. Two for the hockey. And then two for some baseball starting with the hockey. Thought it would go. I mean, it's been like free money, betting over five and a half, betting over the total in this game in the series.

Over five and a half, hit that very easily again. Drop me! And then I knew this was a little dicey. I took Plus 300 odds. For this game between Vegas and Carolina to go to overtime because the last two had gone to overtime.

And. Even as dicey as it was. Eh, plus 300. That's pretty good odds. It's pretty good odds.

Did not go to overtime last night, so that one didn't hit. Then to the two. Baseball bats. Dodgers Pirates Paul Skeens was on the mound. Yeah.

I took the under in this. Under the total Yeah, didn't even come close to hitting it. It was a 12-3 final. Yeah, not great. But Paul Skeens was.

Went over six and a half strikeouts for him. He had seven. SHOLLY DIVERI!

So Let's get into it for tonight.

So, two and two, two and two last night, 500.

So we didn't move. We're right, we're still where we were. One game under 500, now 27 to 28. Don't For the basketball tonight, I mentioned Carl Anthony Towns. I like him to get himself going again offensively, and I mean it.

I'm putting my money where my mouth is. Cat. Over 32.5 points, rebounds, assists combined. Trophy divided! That's right.

That's right. Um I'm also gonna go. OG Ananobi. to score 15 or more points. SHOW BE DELLY!

I like that one a lot. He had the hot hand in game three. And I'm just gonna go minus 105 odds. The Knicks to cover the spread of being two and a half point favorites. Drove me to- Gonna do that.

Looking at the baseball. For today. Kyle Schwarber. Gonna have him at Just one or more hits. Show me the Gonna do that.

Kyle Schwarber has been a good one to bet. They play the Blue Jays tonight. I'm going to take him to have one or more hits.

So that's our bets for tonight, putting four on the card again. I like the Knicks to cover. It's two and a half point favorites. I like OG and Anobi to have 15 or more points. I like Kat to go over 32 and a half points, rebounds as this combined.

And I like Kyle Schwarber. Phillies, Blue Jays. I like them to have one or more hits tonight. Yeah. Fire it up!

Fire it up! I'm caffeinated as you can see. Yeah, I was watching that Pirates game. I didn't realize it started at 6:30 because it was in. Pittsburgh.

So I caught the fifth and sixth inning. What'd you think? And The Pirates were actually leading 3-1, and then when Skeens was taken out in the sixth or seventh. I think or in between the sixth and seventh. It um was three to two.

And then what happens? And then the relievers decided to lay an egg and uh Allow I think nine runs unanswered. I hate it when that happens. And they're not catching a break tonight because Shohei's on the bump. Mm-mm-mm.

Third lowest ERA through ten starts with.74. He might be the best pitcher in baseball, too. Probably should have got in on a no Tani bet. Matter of fact, I might add one to the card. I'm gonna see what the over uh what the value is.

On his strikeouts is what we call live action. That's what that is. We'll do it live.

Okay, we'll do it alive! Oh man, where is it? Let's see here. Scrolling. There it is.

Otani. Uh pitching specials Uh To get really good odds, I have to have him go seven or more strikeouts. Hmm. You know what? Or go over six and a half K's.

That's what we're going to do. Let's add one more to the card. Shohei Otani, minus 108 odds, over 6.5 strikeouts. Joe Vidya! There you go.

Silence, if you please. Gentlemen, may I present to you? Will Dalton brings Triad Sports Talk with a little extra horsepower?

Now, back to the drive. Damon Glenn, gonna join us in hour number two. Coming up in about 10-15 minutes, we're gonna put together Morgan and I both five of the best players That are not soccer players, they're just American athletes, can be any sport. That would be best suited to go out and win a World Cup. Because I believe that the best athletes in America play football or basketball, whereas in the world, You know, in a lot of these countries, it's soccer.

Like, that's where the best athletes, that's what they're doing.

So. That'll be a lot of fun. And if you have any suggestions on athletes that you believe. Would be an incredible soccer athlete to go out and win a World Cup. 336-777-1600.

I'd like to hear from you. I think it'd be a lot of fun. But sticking with the World Cup. Did you see the scene at Auburn last night? Spectacular.

It was terrific. I mean, what talk about worlds are colliding. George is getting upset. If you know, you know. Shout out to Seinfeld fans.

Do you like Seinfeld? I haven't watched too much of it. Do you know that meme? I know the soup Nazi. Joseph Ayu.

No soup for you. Yeah. Now I want to go watch Seinfeld. I love that. Such a great comfort show.

Um But no, like It was a really cool scene, so it was a friendly. Um It was Argentina. You had Lionel Messi out there. Really cool scene. Was.

And then Who did they play? It was Iceland. That's right. Argentina and Iceland. Leono Messi coming out.

It was just a packed house. World Cup action starts tomorrow officially. They released the War Eagle. Shout out to the War Eagle. That was pretty cool.

Yeah, I saw a few ex-posts about. Literally living through European minds can't comprehend. No.

So. Are you aware of this dude? You were showing me this guy, Freddy. Freddy on social media. If you don't know what I'm talking about.

Go look up Freddie LA7. That's his username. Goat. On X. And essentially he's from Germany.

And what he's done is he's literally like documenting on social media his journey around America and going to the different, you know, World Cup festivities.

So it's friendlies right now, action stars tomorrow. But He's showing this stuff. Like He tweeted out about the eagle. He's like, there's an eagle flying around. And he's going to be here for six weeks.

So he packed a carry-on bag full of jerseys and shorts, he said. He's just driving through America, which is, I think, the way to get the American experience is to drive through it. That's right. He went to Bucky's. At 1 a.m.

At 1 because when else would you go? Seriously. He went to a Buckeye's. He took a little tour around the Auburn campus. Apparently, he went to a lemonade store.

that everybody was recommending over there, but it was closed. Went to Waffle House at 1 a.m., rated it 10 out of 10 for good service. Yeah. He uh He went to Walmart. He's like, Yeah, I haven't eaten anything besides a chicken sandwich at Walmart.

He's also defending America too, because he posted about tubing. And someone said, That's probably $100 because it's in America. He said, No, it's just seven or ten, or how much it was. This is awesome. It's really cool.

I think now he's heading to Tuscaloosa. 336-777-1600 is the number to call if you want in on World Cup. Yeah. Where else did they go? Yeah, apparently.

He said that hotels in Auburn were a little too expensive.

So we just decided to kick it and do a nighttime drive. And uh Heading a little further south. That's what he's doing. It's very interesting. Freddy L A seven Is the username to look up on X if you Want to take a look at his adventures.

It's really cool stuff. It really is. Now Getting to some movies? This is a very fun light. We were talking about Seinfeld, and now we're talking movie.

So I went. Um And when I saw that new horror movie, Obsession, Last night. Late showing, 10 a.m. 10 a.m. 10 p.m.

showing. Um It's all the rage. It's what everybody's talking about right now. And A big reason why people are talking about this movie. And Back Rooms, which is another horror movie that's trending right now.

is because it was made by YouTubers. And it's like beating out the Mandalorian and Grogu. Made by Disney, which listen, Star Wars nerd here, Star Wars lover here, not surprised. Not surprised at all. Because unlike Yeah.

Now I'm going to get on my soapbox a little bit here. Unlike Disney. And the corporate way they run things over there right now, since George Lucas isn't involved. You know, YouTubers tend to care about the little details in the story. More than a big corporate medium empire like Disney would.

An obsession. Uh was made by YouTuber named Curry Barker, I think his name is. And I'm not going to spoil anything. But essentially what it is, is like this guy, he has And I mean this isn't spoiling because like you can essentially pick this up from the trailer. Like this guy has a crush on this girl.

He can't t he doesn't want to tell her though, because he just, you know, he. Just can't bring himself to say something when the time's come. You've all been there. And they have this thing called a make-a-wish stick. And he wishes that You know?

She loved him more than anybody in the entire world. And then she does. But not in the way that he thinks. And like it's. It's not like a jump scare.

Type horror movie. Although there are a couple, it's more of like a Unsettling feeling type horror movie, which again, like I'm a I love horror movies.

So I like all kinds. But I saw Obsession last night. It was really, really good. If you're a horror fan, if you're just a fan of going to see the latest big movie that's popping, go see it. You gotta do it.

Morgan, you don't strike me as a horror movie fan. You don't strike me as that type. Not at all. No? No.

You don't mess with it? No, not at all. I like to sleep at night knowing I'll be sick. Fair enough. I like to watch scary things and then go sleep and go to bed.

Madman. And I sleep like a baby. I really do. Also saw social connection. The trailer dropped for that today and what it is.

Is the sequel to the social network, the movie about Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook? And essentially, what this is is like about Mark Zuckerberg going through the trial. that he went through whenever that happened about Facebook. Really interesting trailer.

So I'll have to go see that, but How about this? What a throwback. Talk in movies. I don't really do a lot of movie talk around here now that Josh Graham's not at the helm, but. Uh Listen, it's a good time to be a moviegoer.

It really is. Between obsession, backrooms, social connection. We were talking about something else before the show. I can't remember.

Well, how theaters are getting packed again? Yeah, like I was telling my friend. Like, because COVID was a tough time for movie theaters. It really was. Didn't know if they, you know, a lot of theaters, I didn't know if they'd be able to stay in business.

And there's probably some that didn't. But I feel like there's been a real resurgence in going to the movie theaters. Especially in the last month. The month of May had a record high with Between the movie that I remember was the Mario movie, got so many sequels to the Super Mario Galaxy, and there was a few other big-time hits in that month. Yeah, it's just, it's what it is.

It's. The lights go out. The phones go off, you're completely immersed in the movie, and you're in there with a group of people as well, sharing the experience. And there's just nothing like it. Like you could go in with all the problems in the world, and in the two hours you're in there, you forget about it.

And it's terrific. You know what else is terrific? The YMCA. How's that for a segue? How about that?

Because the outdoor pools at the Kernersville YMCA They're open. Kernersville, shout out to that. We love Kay Vegas around here, not too far up the road. Curtis Vegas. Yeah.

And if you have a membership at one Northwest, North Carolina YMC, you can get into all of the locations.

So the pools are open. Get ready for the summer. Get ready for swim lessons. I took swim lessons at the Y when I was a kid. You develop those skills.

It's great. It's good stuff. only at the YMCA. The Triad's longest running live sports talk show. The drive, because somebody has to call this stuff out.

Back at it on the drive, right here on WSJS, where. When you think about Soccer. You typically think of international players, but which is because in a lot of these countries, I mean that That's what they do. Like, that is their sport, is soccer. And all of their best athletes play soccer.

But I would argue that in America, all of our best athletes It's not to say that we don't have great athletes that play soccer. But our best athletes, I would say, probably play basketball or football.

So what I thought could be fun In today's no rules top five is Morgan and I both rank. Five players. That we would like to have, non-soccer players, American athletes, that we would like to have on a World Cup. top USA team that could go out and win the thing. And we do that now in the No Rules Top Five.

The No Rules Top Five. And this is show business. Mixed with a little monkey business. Rank it. Huh?

What? Run it. Mm-hmm. All right, Morgan, what do you got? Got an honorable mention to start it off.

I think you like this one. Give me Airbud. Uh Airbud. Oh my god. Airbud.

Airbud. The golden retriever. Give me Airbud. Tart cheat. At number five, Tyreek Hill, the fastest man alive.

Number four, give me Deion Sanders announced today cancer-free.

So I'd like to hear that. At number three, unconventional. Give me Dennis Rodman. Put him in the goal. Great rebounder, probably going to be able to use those hands, get some good saves in there.

Number two can be Chad Ocho Cinco during the NFL lockout. tried to become a professional soccer player. And at number one, you've got to go with Pat McAfee. I mean, Gotta go with Pat. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Pat Love that. Number five on my list. I don't have Airbod on mine. Disappointing. I'm sorry to say.

Actually, I'm not sorry. I'm not putting airbutt on this one. It's not going to do it. Um. This was a tough call, but um I'm gonna go Kevin Durant.

I want him in goalie. He's got he's lanky. He's got reach. He's got range now. I want Kevin Durant.

I want him blocking stuff. See, I can't get Wimby because he's French.

So I thought about that. I thought about it, but he can't do it. He's French. I mean, he has a soft defensive game. How is he?

Yeah, but it's a different type of defense. Like, if all of this focus, like. If you took all the focus to scoring the basketball and put it into being a goalie and his lankiness, I like Kevin Duran in that. I like that. Number four.

This is where I put Russell Westbrook. Relentless motor. Relentless. And he's got the speed, he's got the stamina. He'd be a great midfielder.

Terrific. At number four. Uh number three, this is where I put Tyreek Hill.

So I put him. Great acceleration, top in speed. They call him cheetah for a reason. And Man, could you imagine him as a As a winger, could you imagine that? Seeing him going up the oh, Tyreek Hill would be great at this.

Number two. Deion Sanders. Need I say more? Deion Sanders, I mean. When you take guys that played both Football and baseball, and did it well.

Like, how could you not put him on a World Cup soccer team? How could you not?

So I like Deion Sanders in this. And number one. Number one. I don't know if you're gonna see this one coming. This is where I put Bo Jackson.

Could you imagine? Bo Jackson on a soccer field. Oh. Speed. Strength.

Explosiveness coordination. And the just the competitive nature of his personality. Could master the sport of soccer. I'm convinced of it. Convinced.

See you. I always think about Derrick Henry. But the problem with Derrick Henry is you can't stiff-arm people in soccer.

So you kind of. Kind of proves him Neutral. LeBron James, he's an honorable mention for me. I don't know. With LeBron, I don't see it.

Was he ever really that fast? As compared or is he just more physical than everybody? Because you can't be shoving people in soccer. That's why I didn't include LeBron on my list. I mean, he's fast with his explosiveness to the rim.

I don't know how that would translate on a soccer field. I don't. That's why I have as an honorable mention.

So, in review, your five were. Tyreek, Deion Sanders, Dennis Rodman as a goalie specifically, Chad Ocho Sinko, and McAfee. Yeah, that's a solid. McAfee? McAfee number one.

Yeah. I was struggling to find a number one. I only put him at number one because he actually has a soccer background. Yeah, he's got a boot. He's got a boot.

And mine, number five, my goalie, Kevin Durant. Give me all the lankiness in net. And then That's when we get Where did I have number four? No.

Oh yeah, that's Russell Westbrook. The explosiveness, the speed. Ugh, the fire. I mean, we've seen all the montages of him dunking the ball. Put it on a soccer field.

Do that. Number three, Tyreek Hill. Number two, Deion Sanders. Prime, baby. Prime time out there on the pitch.

And number one, Jackson. You're taking home the gold. You're winning the World Cup with that. Airbud, get that out of here. Mine's winning the World Cup.

Leon O'Messi, who? Bo Jackson. That's a fun little exercise. 336-777-1600. I want to hear from you.

What athletes would you pick? Non-soccer playing American athletes, who would be best suited? Legitimately. You know, don't be like Tom Brady, because I like him. No, Tom Brady would not be a good soccer player.

No, not at all. Not at all. I'm talking like. Keekly. Keekly's is one.

Might not be the most physical and the fastest, but he'll outsmart you in seven different ways. That's actually a good point. I'm sure he could translate that to the soccer aspect of things. I think he could, actually.

So 336-777-1600. What? American non-soccer American athlete would you put on a World Cup USA team? I want to hear from you. Make some noise!

If you've ever yelled at a ref, this show's for you. You're on the drive. Back at it on the drive, right here on WSJS. Going to be joined by David Glenn of NC Sports Network. Here in about 15 minutes to talk all things hurricanes, to talk about a Will Wade NC State situation.

But every Wednesday, we have the Madhouse Minute. And this week, we're joined by Jackson Casper, he's the driver of the number 47 modified out at Bowman Gray. Jackson, how are we doing? Good, how are you guys? We're doing pretty terrific.

So, I want to get to this right off the top. Uh I am told that you are a very superstitious person. And specifically about $50 bills, the color green. and peanuts. The floor is yours.

Okay. Um ever since I started racing go-karts at six years old, you know, we've always had those three rules, no peanuts, no fifty dollar bills, and of course no green.

Well, the $50 bill one, I can't explain. I'm going to be completely honest. Let's get that one out. Let's get that out the way. Can't explain that one now.

The wearing green part, um, my good buddy Philip Smith, He actually got a negative at Balmy Gray Stadium Um that night he was wearing green and he caught on fire and burnt his hand really good.

So ever since then, kind of been no green for us. and a lot of other people are followed. Um But yeah. And the peanuts, that one, I'm not I'm not exactly sure, to be honest with you, what driver it was, but there's a story about a driver that used to race And he would eat peanuts as he'd go around the tracks.

Well, he got in an accident, choked on a peanut, and unfortunately passed away.

So there you go. Wow, man. Jackson Casper with us here on WSJS. Listen, I can appreciate all of that. I'm a former baseball player, and baseball players are about as superstitious as they come.

So I, you know, I something, listen, even if there's no reason for it, there might not be a reason for the $50 bill, but it's just, there's something in it. There's something about the Juju. You just, you can't do it, man. You can't have it. It's not, can't happen.

Yeah. It always happens. Just an example, okay? My grandmother actually came this past Saturday to watch me race at the Madhouse.

Well, My I had engine problems and we didn't get we didn't get to race. I go see my grandmother. You know what she had in her pocket? $50. Wow.

Really? Come on, Grandma. We can't have this. Can't do it, man.

So do I have it right that you've made two starts so far? Yes, two starts at the Madhouse.

Okay, so you're one of the rookies out there. Of the two starts that you've had, what if. You know, that doesn't sound great, but what have been some of the highlights out there?

Some of the highlights were racing with Tim Brown. You know, he's always been a hero to me. I've been going to the stadium since I was a kid, and to be out. Be out there and competing with them is it's really cool. Um, I actually got to get up and run up front the last race.

I was. I was uh up to fourth, so that was that was pretty r that was a pretty for real feeling, and uh That was awesome.

So um but unfortunately, I haven't had uh Look to finish the races. I haven't finished either one, but I've had really good runs. We have really good race pace. You know, we just got to get that motor to stay cool. That's it, man.

Jackson Casper with us here on WSJS, driver of the number 47 modified out at Bowman Gray. Last thing for you here.

So I know a lot of the drivers out there, you know, they have day jobs and they, you know, do other things outside of racing, you know, with their spare time. You know, what does the day-to-day look like for you when you're not driving?

Well, Day-to-day looks. I'm actually in Atlanta, Georgia, right now. I'm actually all over the place. I hope a company called Wind Technologies, and they're based out of High Point, North Carolina. And they send me all over.

Last, see, two years ago, I had 230,000 miles in the air.

So I go anywhere from Oregon. Yeah. To Vegas, to New York City, just pulling low voltage wire. And then when I'm not doing that, I'm an electrician back in Kernelsville. Cool deal, man.

Well, we appreciate you popping in here, Jackson Casper, driver of the number 47 modified. Good luck to you. You're going to be finishing a race here soon. Just stay, keep away from the $50 bills. Tell grandma to put it away, no green and no peanuts, and you're going to get there.

It's going to happen. Absolutely. Thank you guys for having me. And everybody, come check us out at the Mad House this weekend. We're going to have a great time.

Twin fifty. For the modified. There he goes. Jackson Casper, driver of the number 47. Great personality, he has.

That's fun. Oh, yeah. That's terrific. Can't believe Grandma. Come on, Grandma.

What are you doing? I'm going to look this up tonight and try and get to the bottom of this. This. This fifty dollar bill thing. You should.

You really should. Like this we gotta put on our uh Detective hats here. Or tin hats. Or that. Sure.

David Glenn going to join us here in just a little bit. NBA Finals. Game four tonight. See Wu-Tang clans gonna perform at halftime? Cream.

Cream cash rolls everything around me. Ah, I mean, Cardi Beep, listen. Cardi B put on a heck of a show, apparently. Why are you giving the thumbs down? I'm a hater.

For what? Concerts at games. Oh, come on, it's the finals, though. Wop wob. I don't like it.

It extends the game. Like a The halftime at the national championship game for basketball was so much longer than it needed to be. Because we had people singing Lip syncing. Not even syncing. They were lip syncing.

I mean, listen to that. And they did it in the final four. We don't need it for everything. The NHL does it right. Let's not do any concerts, NHL.

No fun. I am no fun. I'm there to see the show, not the concert. Charles Barkley was there to see the show. No, don't even talk about it.

Cardi B, I'll let you look up on social what he said about that. I gotta be careful around here. I'd like to still be able to do this again tomorrow. Um So shout out to Wu-Tang clan. I think tonight Few things I think is going to happen.

I think it's going to be a little more physical. Um I was stunned. I was very surprised that um Victor Wimbinyama. Didn't get any type of flagrant anything on that shoving. of Jalen Brunson in the first period of Game Three.

I mean, when these 7-4. Jalen Brunson isn't. And he went flying a little bit. And I mean, shout out to Jalen Brunson, the dog that he is, just going at Wimby like he was going to do something about it. I love that.

I love that energy, man. I mean, Jalen did. None of his teammates came to his defense on that one, which I was a little surprised about, but. Wimby has gotten away with a few in these playoffs. Like there was the elbow.

Early on That was just a blatant elbow. There was something else he did. that he got away with. And then now, this, no flagrant at all.

So, this is about the third time that he's kind of gotten away with something. And I don't know. I don't know why that is exactly. But I don't know what it is. I don't know.

Are you referring to one he was whispering to Mason Pumley? When uh Order Sixty Six was Given I don't think it was that. I can't remember.

I can't remember.

But he's gotten away with a few in these playoffs.

So I say all of that to say. If the referees aren't going to police it. If the NBA isn't going to police it... The players I'm not saying fights are going to happen or anything tonight, but I think it could get a, and this has already been a very physical series. I think it could get a little more physical tonight.

The players might start policing some of this stuff. Like Draymond Green, he was on with Ian O'Connor. of Yahoo Sports on his podcast, and they were talking about that play. And Dre said, if that happened to Steph Curry, I'm not going to be in the game much longer. I'm going to handle it.

That's what he said, and we know he's not kidding. I also think Carl Anthony Towns is going to get more involved offensively. I do.

I mean he He kinda looked like Minnesota cat. In game three. And a lot of that was because of how Jalen Brunson was playing, kind of going that hero ball stuff. One assist for Kat in the game, and usually here lately he's been averaging around like four or something. And is uh I mean, he's been Minus game three, like he was the best player in the series so far.

Defensively on Wemby and then offensively, like... At the rate it was going, if the Knicks were to win, he was going to win MVP. But I think he's going to get it going a little bit more tonight. I think the Knicks.

Now that all this stuff about Trump This is over. Like he's not going to be a game four. Apparently, Taylor Swift is. Whatever. Sure.

They're gonna auction off that seat too? Probably. She's got to get an early look at her wedding venue, that's what it is.

So stupid. But you got that, like, that's all done with that whole conversation. I don't think there's going to be any barricades around the garden tonight. Um The ticket prices, like that whole conversation, I think is kind of blown over. Like, it's back to business tonight for the Knicks, and they need this.

They need this tonight. And so I think they get it. I think cat. Like I said, I think the cat, Jalen. And the Knicks as a whole are going to get back to what they do.

Now, Stefan Castle, he's been terrific. defensively in these playoffs. Yeah, back to the Knicks for just a second. Across the board, when Jalen Brunson is on the court, offensive efficiency is down for the Knicks. Yep.

And that's partly because Jalen Brunson's shooting 37 in the finals, and the rest of the playoffs he was shooting 49%. But their points per possession is down to under a point for the Knicks.

So they've really got to stop playing hero ball with Brunson and play through Brunson. Agreed. And that's what's got him here. That's what got him 13 straight wins. And again, back to Stefan Castle.

He gave SGA all types of problems, too. That was one of his lower. Shooting percentages in his playoff career.

Now, Jalen Brunson's kind of experiencing that.

So. It'll be interesting to see how they adjust to that. I think the Knicks take game four and go back to San Antonio up 3-1. We'll see what happens tonight. All takes, no breaks, and no chance you're bored.

You're clocked out email off. Back to the Triad's longest-running live sports talk show: The Drive. Back at it on the drive, right here on WSJS on a Wednesday. And after an incredible game four last night between the Kanes and the Golden Knights, and here to chat about it. It's our guy David Glenn of the NC Sports Network.

DG, how we doing? Doing great, Will. Always fun to be with you. It's good to be with you as well.

So, we'll talk some canes. There's also a couple of legal issues that I want to get your insights on. But starting with the positive: Carolina knotting up this series to a piece. And You know, we're seeing some of the ratings of this series and how incredible they've been. And just, I mean, it's almost like free money at this point to take the over five and a half every game.

I've done it. And like, it's just. Carolina has gotten up off the mat every single time. They haven't lost back-to-back games since January. Is this one of the greatest Stanley Cup finals of all time.

I think it is to this point, especially if you like high-scoring hockey games. I mean, NHL records go back 100-plus years. And at least through this 2-2 series tie, this is one of the highest scoring finals in the history of this league. And that's interesting because the canes defend about as well as anybody and usually keep the puck at the end, other end of the ice. They're certainly capable of winning as they did in the regular season, a lot of 2-1 games, 3-1 games, 4-2 games.

But Vegas is better than the opponents that the Canes faced earlier in this year's playoffs.

So when the Canes make one of their rare or maybe not as rare lately mistakes, This opponent, Vegas, can capitalize in ways that the other earlier opponents had a hard time capitalizing on.

So, yeah, most people like offense in most sports that we follow.

So, by that standard, this is about as good as it gets. And those four or five million viewer numbers that you've seen per game, and that doesn't even count the people watching in Canada, remember, which tends to love hockey. Those are pretty good viewership numbers for the Stanley Cup finals. David Glenn with us here on WSJS of NC Sports Network. There's a lot of ways you could go with this next question I'm about to ask.

I mean, Jordan Stahl has scored five goals in four final games, which he's the first player to do that since 1992. Logan Stankoven continues to impress, scoring a minute 26 in last night. Brandon Bussey, when his name was called upon the last two games, he's risen to the occasion. Who's impressed you the most for Carolina in these Stanley Cup finals so far? To me, it's Jordan Stahl.

I mean, you threw out that stat, and Jordan Stahl is not necessarily a gifted goal scorer, right? He's a leader, he's a defender, he wins face-to-face offs, he kills penalties. But he's not the greatest, most gifted goal scorer, right? He's never scored 30 goals or 40 goals in a season in his entire career, which goes back at this point almost two decades. It reminds me of Rod Brindamore the player 20 years ago.

Rod Brindemore had 12 postseason goals. in 2006. And Rod Brindemore was not a gifted goal scorer. He was big and strong like Jordan Stahl. He killed penalties.

He won a lot of face-offs. He was a legendary leader. All of these parallels from the player Rod Brindamore in 2006, now, of course, Jordan Stahl's coach here in 2026. All of those parallels are real. And when the margins are as thin as they are right now, Will, I mean, I see what people around me are screaming when the Keynes need to win a big face-off.

You know who's out there for that? It's usually Jordan Stahl. You know who usually wins that big face-off? Jordan Stahl. And then they got to kill a penalty.

And the fans are freaking out. You know who's asked to kill that penalty? Jordan Tall. You know who usually does help kill that penalty? Jordan Stahl.

So when you add the offense on top of it, I mean, holy cow, was it like Mike Bossey, legendary goal scorer, the most recent example of anybody scoring in each of the first four games of the Stanley Cup finals? I grew up with that guy. That was a sniper. To have Jordan Stahl's name on that list, given all the other things that he does well, leadership, but also in those very, really, real measurable ways, that's about as good as it gets. Although, of course, Logan Stankoven deserves a ton of credit.

As do Taylor Hall and Jackson Blake. and a whole lot of other guys on that team right now. David Glenn of the NC Sports Network with us here on WSJS. And As well as covering sports in the ACC in this state, as long as you have you also have a legal background. And when those two things come together, it's always.

Great to have you on to break this stuff down for us. And maybe you know where I'm going here.

So, the NC State Will Wade saga just won't quit, it won't go away. And Three months removed. Uh from him skipping town on state. Apparently the pack are Opening and launching an investigation into whether or not LSU violated North Carolina law. By persuading him to return to Baton Rouge.

How much meat is actually on the bone here for NC State?

Well, we'll see. We know that Will Wade is off the hook because an NC State remember is not suing Will Wade. He negotiated a $4 million buyout down from the $5 million, but above the $3 million he would have had to pay if everything waited to a certain date.

So NC State received and deposited the $4 million check. That made up Will Wade's buyout.

So that chapter is over. NC States. Can't win a lawsuit against Will Wade, the coach. But North Carolina has a lot of laws that govern contracts. And contract law was one of the things that I practiced for almost 20 years.

For example, there's something called the Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act. And you can file a lawsuit based on a violation of that act, where essentially you'd be arguing LSU knew that Will Wade was under contract with NC State University. LSU basically engaged in what the legal folks call like a tortious interference. You're allowed to inquire about somebody. You are not allowed to.

Invade the, you're not allowed, it's hard to describe in a short amount of time, but NC State believes that LSU violated the Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act, or might have. And if you can prove that in court, you can not only get financial damages from LSU, you can get some, in many cases, attorneys' fees on top of that money.

So, who knows to what degree NC State is willing to go to pursue this all the way to the end? Who knows how big the damages they're imagining might be? The bigger the damages, the more willing you usually are to file a lawsuit and stick with that lawsuit. But a lot of people were upset about the fact that I as a member of the media had heard for three months That Will Wade was going to take the LSU job.

Well, if you're his employer in January, February, and March, And you see not just my reports, but a lot of other reports. You're wondering who's tampering with whom. And in this case, who's violating one or more of the laws of the great state of North Carolina? Brandon Marks wrote in the athletic DG that when this all went down that. Apparently, somebody very close to Will Wade, who has LSU ties, said this goes back to last summer.

that this has been in the works. That's how 4Rec goes. And NC State knows that it is hard to get evidence on these things sometimes. Whoever said that to me or another reporter may not be willing to testify to that in the court of law. And in many cases, you cannot be forced to do that, even if you have.

You know, a window into the truth in a way that could help a lawsuit proceed.

So, you know, NC State's lawyers know that, LSU's lawyers know that. Um But the funny part is, the day Will Wade was hired at NC State, Many Wolfpack fans got mad at us. Any member of the media has said, you know, he's kind of a shady character. He was kicked out of college basketball because of his inability or unwillingness to follow the rules. And the state fans were like, oh, stop raining on our parade.

Well, we've told you the truth. He's both a very successful basketball coach. And he has a pattern of not really caring much about the rules.

So it's not my fault that he's lived his life that way. We give him credit for what he's done well, and we point out. When he was violating so many rules, he truly got kicked out of the sport for a while. I mean, that's pretty extreme, right?

So, you know, now state fans, of course, have figured out that we were right about Will Wade all along. And, of course, they're cursing him on his way out the door and hoping that their university can beat LSU in this lawsuit if it comes to a lawsuit. David Glenn with us here on WSJS of NC Sports Network. Since we're talking about legal issues, I'll just keep it right here. Another trending issue this week is this Brendan Sourceby stuff, where he placed like $90,000 worth of battery.

He's a red shirt freshman when he did it, but nonetheless, he broke the rules and he went through the legal process to get reinstated or he's going to be eligible to play this year. How much of a problem does college sports have on their hands with this issue? It's a huge deal because this is not the first time we have seen an athlete file. Remember, this is not a federal lawsuit. This was a lawsuit in the state of Texas, you know, where Texas Tech happens to be located.

Yeah. And a Texas-based judge. Ruled in favor of the Red Raiders, possible star quarterback, right? On mental health issues and contractual issues, et cetera. We've been talking about this for a decade or more, the sense that.

When individual states can make somebody, and judges can make somebody eligible at a specific school, where maybe a similar lawsuit in a different state in front of a different judge, maybe that judge rules in favor of the NCAA on a similar set of circumstances. It all comes back to what we talk about all the time. College sports has grown in a way that nobody anticipated 100 years ago or 50 years ago. to be so financially lucrative that eventually The athletes wanted slices of the pie, and they're getting slices of the pie. But whereas the NBA and the NFL and other pro sports leagues, when they're sued, they're usually sued in federal court.

Why? Because antitrust law is federal law. Collective bargaining agreements would usually come under federal law. And so, federal judges are less likely to play this home cooking game. And but but with these eligibility issues, you know, somebody in West Virginia got a West Virginia judge to say the NCAA rule about transferring only one time is invalid.

And the NCAA chose not to fight that, right?

So now everybody transfers all the time as much as they want.

So it happened that way in West Virginia. It happened in this context in Texas. It happened in another context in Alabama with the basketball player last year. You know, he had played pro ball for years, but then he was temporarily eligible for the Crimson Tide because some judge in Alabama said he should be. Until the NCAA gets either congressional action, which is what they've been begging for for years now.

After telling the NCAA to stay out of their business for about 100 years, or, some form of collective bargaining. We're going to have this patchwork, weird, mind-numbing, painful set of eligibility issues. And unless somebody in this case is at Texas Tech is willing to step up to the plate and say, you know, it's bad for college sports to have this guy play this year.

Well, then the Red Raiders don't have to do that, and everybody seems to want to act in their own interest.

So it's their quarterback.

So they want to win football games, and they're going to play him in all likelihood. But the debate right now is whether they could be pressured to not play him, which would make this eligibility issue at least go away for a while. A few more things for you on the way out here. David Glenn joining us on WSJS.

So you're based in the triangle, and Tom Dundon has been wanting to bring Major League Baseball to that area for a long time now. That seems to be the spot if it were to come to this state. Probably going to be at Raleigh, not Charlotte. And now this new Guy has entered the fray, Mark Lazari, who is involved with North Carolina Courage, of course. And now he wants to put something together to bring Major League Baseball to that area.

How much does this increase the chances of North Carolina getting a Major League Baseball team with now Mark Lazarie entering the fray? I think it matters a lot. Because we had a recent example, remember when Major League Soccer expanded? And the Triangle wanted a team, a franchise, and Charlotte wanted a team. What happened?

Extremely deep-pocketed Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper said, I'll throw my weight, my money, my influence behind Charlotte's bid. Who got the team? Charlotte got the team.

Now it's not only Tom Dundon and another billionaire that matters. You still have to show Major League Baseball what your stadium plan is. You still have to show Major League Baseball the level of governmental cooperation you're gonna get. To build that stadium and make this team a reality. You still have to show fan response or maybe even seat licenses down the road.

Closer to when baseball will expand. That's years down the road. Um to to truly rise your bid. above all the others. But we know that Major League Baseball, because the commissioner Rob Manfred has said a version of this: one team's probably going to be in the East and one team's probably going to be in the West.

Well, Raleigh wants it. Charlotte, maybe, you know, Nashville, Tennessee, wants it. Other cities on the East Coast want it.

So, Raleigh's not the only one, but I can tell you this: none of those other East Coast cities. has that entire checklist that I just mentioned. The fact that the Raleigh bid has the double deep pockets checked off, and even progress on those others. Is a really good sign for why so many people are describing Raleigh as, if not the top candidate, certainly one of the top candidates. to get that Eastern expansion franchise when that time comes, you know, four or more years down the road.

How uh how locked into the World Cup are you going to be? I'm excited. I'm actually visiting one of my best friends from college, who is probably the biggest soccer fan. That I am close friends with.

So, part of our time together. Is gonna be watching a lot of soccer. You may remember both of my children. That was the sport they chose. Like as their dad, I was kind of disappointed.

I'm like, I could coach football, basketball, baseball, hockey. I could coach tennis. And they both wanted to become soccer players.

So I had to learn the game 20 some years ago when my kids were little. But I fell in love with the sport. And I'm all about Team USA. And I think it's cool that. You know, North America essentially gets to host this year's World Cup.

That's only going to come around. It's like our state hosting a U.S. Open in golf, right? That only happens every once in a long while.

So it's really cool that we get to host. I don't know how far Team USA can go in this context, but yeah, I'll be watching every game Team USA plays. And when you get France or Spain or the knockout stage a little bit later, I'll be watching every one of those knockout games as well. David Glenn, NC Sports Network, check out his work on X, on YouTube, everywhere. They put out really great stuff.

DG, enjoy the soccer, and we will see you next time. Thank you, my friend. Always good to be with you. Keep up the good work, Will.
