Hi guys, we're getting ready to start the Cure Radio Show. And I hope that you guys can join us, because today should be a very helpful radio show.

I really like it. Especially for me. Well, for everyone, I think we all suffer from procrastination really. And I've always been a big believer on making every moment count. But we all fall victims to this. And we can learn to overcome it. Here's an expert.

And well, we can make our days more purposeful and more meaningful, and actually have more fulfillment in the things that we do. So I'm really looking forward to this radio show. And in the meantime, my very friendly partner in crime wants to say hi.

Wowie. Crime! Good crime. It's only good crime. Is that a good crime? Or a bad crime? Okay, so, good crime. Yes. It's a thing.

Okay, so I need that show too, by the way. Procrastination. Sometimes I do procrastinate. So, maybe you'll learn something. I hope you guys do. We don't always hope we're learning.

That's a good thing. Otherwise, it could be a waste of time. And we don't want to waste time, do we? Actually, we'd like to make time count.

I don't know, but I've seen other podcasts, and they go, come guys. We're getting ready to start. I'm waiting on you guys. Join us. Join us. They do that thing, so we can do that. Or just smile and look cute, you know, and just hope that people start tuning in. Okay, you look cute, so that's good.

That works for you. We can try. Oh, we will.

Try to find ourselves in the winter. Oh, right. Oh, oh, yeah. The Cure with Amy Cabo. Life can bring many difficult situations.

Domestic violence, addictions, poverty, and even sexual abuse by your loved ones. Welcome, Amy Cabo and The Cure. Good afternoon, and welcome to The Cure radio show.

I'm your host, Amy Cabo, with my amazing partner, Boris. Wow, I'm amazing today. Thank you. Still, thank God.

Good. Our show is available live on your radio, also live through our app for any smartphone and our website, GodIsTheCure.com, because he is. We're broadcasting live today from Miami through satellite available in 35 radios in more than 11 states and live on social media.

Soon after the show, any podcast player has a podcast. This show deals with suffering, the tenacity of the human spirit, the will to survive, and the courage to keep moving forward, despite any obstacle, with the help of God that helps us enable that enables us to help each other. We provide testimonials to let people know that we're not alone. And the testimony in this show started with me, having been a survivor from child abuse, well into young adulthood. We also have experts in several fields and inspirational speakers that are willing to help us with valuable information.

Knowing that education is necessary, awareness is crucial, and comfort is needed. We hope to believe we all suffer, or have suffered from something. And we hope to be a source of healing for each other. Despite everything, God was my only cure.

And I did try everything. But other forms are healing are presented as well to service everyone. And that can always be challenging. But no, there's always someone who cares.

If anything at all, if anyone at all, at least God does. The song we played earlier was Afterglow by Ed Sheeran. Well, and this is what it inspired me to write. This is my take from it. Today seems so amazing when God becomes our afterglow. Time can change in so many ways, full of meaning more than anyone can know.

It can be a challenge. We face darkness here and there. But once we come into his light, we're not faced by the things that seem unfair.

Our old ways that let us down tend to fade and melt away. It's a miracle experienced when growing close to God and praying every day. When Jesus taught us how to live, he showed us love and set us free. Giving us hope and joy that only he provides beyond anything this world can offer or guarantee.

Time is precious and love is sacred when we truly feel alive by discovering our true purpose is God's will and pleasing him. Our drive is through Jesus that we thrive. Well, today we will talk about how to choose responsibility over simplicity, and we have a very special guest, Eric Twiggs. Eric Twiggs is a founding partner and president of the What Now movement. His mission is to build high performing entrepreneurs, authors and career professionals who are prepared for life's unexpected curveballs. Don't we all have those? He is author of The Discipline of Now.

I love it. Live in the now. Twelve practical principles to overcome procrastination.

Don't we all know that one? Eric is also the host of a weekly inspirational podcast titled The 30 Minute Hour. As a certified life and business coach, Eric has conducted over twenty eight thousand coaching sessions, helping executive leaders and entrepreneurs who have moved from feeling frustrated to finding fulfillment.

He has also led organizations of five hundred or more people in corporate America and shared his message with corporations, associations and congregations across the country. Eric, welcome to the Cure. You are now alive. Fantastic. Thank you, Amy. It's an honor to be on your show. Well, the honor is ours. It's our guests that make this show special.

That's for sure. So Eric, let's start with the now movement. Sounds very interesting. What is that about? The what now movement was founded by myself and I have two business partners.

And what we were finding is that this started towards the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. People were coming up to us in a different walk of life saying, Eric, I'm a stand up comedian, but I can't get into the improv or I can't go to the comedy store because of the restrictions. What now?

Or I own a restaurant and I can't have people in my dining area. So what now? And what we found was the tendency for most people when they face a what now moment is to stop and say, well, I'm going to wait until things get back to normal when that's the last thing you should do. So we decided to partner and form the what now movement where the focus is on pivoting and asking yourself, what can I do in these circumstances? So as a Facebook group, we've got over fifteen hundred people in it and it's growing every day. We provide resources, cool content, help people to pivot.

Nice. And I get what you say. It's very important. Sometimes we just expect things to to turn around or to get better or for other people to make it better. And it's really about us taking action and making things happen.

But it's also an option. You just watch TV after TV, after TV, after movie, after movie, after movie. That's how you procrastinate, isn't it?

So we don't want to escape, whether it's with food or or television shows or just avoiding the whole scenario. And how are you able to tell people what kind of ways were they able to pivot? Could you give me some kind of examples? Yes. So, for example, the stand up comedian, the stand up comedian now has become much more active on virtual platforms.

Nice. Instead of having to go to a comedy club, which they can't. Now they're making their own comedy club.

They're creating these virtual platforms. And just I mean, a classic example of this movement and one of the things that really inspired it is my podcast, The 30 Minute Hour. We used to do it in a building. I'm the host.

My co-host is Ted Fells. And we used to do it. We had like a little studio in a building.

But guess what? With the pandemic, the building was no longer available. We had to pivot. And what we did, we started broadcasting on Facebook Live.

We would have never done that without the pandemic. And as a result, it skyrocketed our audience. Our audience grew dramatically from that pivot where before we would just record sessions in this building.

Now we went to broadcasting on Facebook Live. It was a total game changer. But I think it's a classic example of ways that you can pivot during a pandemic. That's excellent. And that's the great thing about Americans is that we can be very innovative. I think that's how America grew so fast to being such a young country.

And I think that's wonderful. And procrastination is not, as I understand, not just about waiting for things to happen. But when you do have something to do, waiting to do it last minute, you know, there's that saying, why put up for tomorrow what you can do today?

And there's that thing for a reason. It doesn't that lead to stress? Why should we tackle procrastination? Good question, because it becomes stressful when you procrastinate.

Let's think about this. So you let's say you have something coming up. You have a presentation. You're stressed about the presentation and then you put it off because you're looking to get away from the stress. But as the deadline looms closer, you're stressful about the fact that you're procrastinating. So it just becomes this stressful, unhealthy loop. And the big reason that people need to tackle their procrastination is that procrastination is a silent killer.

Yes. A lot of times there's no immediate consequence from procrastinating. It's not like you put off your presentation and the procrastination police, they come in and arrest you. And it always seems like a good idea to procrastinate. It always seems like a good idea. But what happens, you think you got away with it.

Right. So you put it off in the last minute and then you do your presentation and everybody pats you in the back says you did a great job. So now you start telling yourself, I work better under pressure.

Oh, what a lie. That's justification for procrastination. But it's been proven that especially if you're doing something creative, the quality of your work is going to be much better if you start early. Well, let's talk to the student that waits last minute to study for that test.

Do they test better? Well, we'll continue talking about this when we return. Give us a call. One eight six six thirty four truth. If you want to tell us your story.

How did you fight procrastination? One eight six six thirty four truth. You will be right back with Amy Cabo and the cure. Amy Cabo and the cure. This show deals with suffering, the tenacity of the human spirit and the courage to keep moving forward with the help of God. I want people to know that I was forced into my abortion because I didn't think I had a choice. I want people to know there's choices. Well, Amy, my heart is breaking. I just want you to know that I love you and I thank God for you. Amy Cabo and the cure.

Every Saturday at one Eastern on the Truth Network. I had big dreams of doing shows and making memories, made some bad moves, trying to act cool, upset by the jealousy. Lifting me up. Lifting me up. Turn me down.

Turn me down. Take responsibility for everything I've done. Holding it against me like you're the holy one. I had a chip on my shoulder. Had to let it go.

Some forgiveness keeps them in control. I came in with good intentions. Then I let it go. And now I really want to know what if I trip? What if I, what if I fall? Then I'm not a monster. Just let me know. What if I, what if I sin? What if I, what if I break out?

Then I'm not a monster. Just let me know. Let's just let it go. And now we will continue with Amy Cabo and the cure. Welcome back. This is Amy. And thanks for tuning in to the cure. And I'm Cabo.

I mean, no, I'm Boris. But anyway, remember, you can listen to the radio show live through our app, the cure with Amy Cabo or the podcast. Just look for the cure on any podcast platform.

The song that just played was Monster by Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber. An amazing song a lot of us can relate to. And this is my take. It's important to be humble and admit the times that you were wrong. Have a sight full of compassion for it's to Jesus.

We belong. Failures have to happen when experiencing success. Otherwise, it wasn't worth it. And there's no merit. Nonetheless, what's worth it won't come easy.

It seems more than we can take. But with God, nothing's impossible. Turning tragedies into miracles simply for our sake. There's no monster with God's children, no matter how big or small the sin.

Forgiveness is our gift paid in full by Jesus so we can do the same and find the love within. Well, that's nice. You're becoming more and more poetic every day. That's the Holy Spirit.

Yeah. So we're talking to Eric Twiggs, author of Discipline of Now about how to be more productive and feel more fulfilling, which is awesome. You feel better about yourself. It really improves on your self-confidence. I like it.

I really like the idea. I need to improve a lot. Right. That's what you tell me yesterday. We could all use improvement.

I mean, everyone could use improvement. So but we're talking about leaving things for later. And a lot of us do that because I don't know. We just like the easy way out, I guess.

And so what what are some simple steps if you can help us out here? You know, to avoid putting things off for later. I mean, do we have to connect the consequences that that come from that?

In order. I mean, if we've already developed that habit that we tend to put things off to last minute. I know some people like that. First, the first simple step is awareness. You really need to be aware of the things that trigger you to procrastinate. And that's one of the things that you get from reading the Book of Discipline of Now. It'll heighten your awareness. So you have to look at the times that I'm procrastinating the most.

Are there common things? Is it a thing of, you know, what is task aversion? I just don't like doing the task. Whenever I come across a task that I don't like to do, I put it off. It could be that it could be as simple as that. So the solution in that scenario is, can you combine that task with something that you do like?

Like listening to music or walking or what have you. And the other thing with that is you have to ask yourself or say to yourself, I wish someone would have said this to me years ago. That just because something has to be done, it doesn't mean that you have to do it. So if it's a task that you don't like, do you have to do it? Can you delegate it to someone?

Can you automate your system so that it gets done without you touching it? Now there's some people that procrastinate because they're afraid. They're afraid that they're going for something that's going to take them to the next level. They're trying to start a business.

They're trying to write a book and they're afraid of what that means. So the key in that case is that you have to really focus on the be, do and have formula. If I become more, I can do more. If I do more, I can ultimately have more. Those are just a couple of examples of simple things that you can do to overcome procrastination.

I love that idea. And if you have faith, you know, God said, have no fear. And the way that I learned to overcome my procrastination, because I think we all fall victim to it soon, one time in our life was I just do it. I don't think about it. I don't think about what else I can do. I don't think about what else needs to be done. I just do it like that. Nike saying, you know, just do it. But no commercials, no commercials.

Nike didn't pay very please. Oh, OK. So anyhow, you know, it's just you'll be surprised once you start doing it and then you get into that rhythm of doing what it is that you need to be doing. And the more that you practice that, you know, the being responsible part, that's super helpful. The more that you practice that, the better you feel about yourself, because I never felt good about being irresponsible or not feeling like I've gotten enough done or gotten the things that I need to get done. Sometimes I feel like we can be the authors of our own misery or the cause of our own unfortunate circumstances.

And it's just really about making those connections and realizing that we can really change our life for the better and set ourselves up for happiness. Really, on a daily basis, we can avoid a lot of frustrations. Of course, there's frustrations we can't avoid. But those that we can, let's do it. See, Eric, she knows about coaching, too.

Do you have like spots for assistant coaches? Yeah, I may need to sign her up. Yeah.

All right. There you are. Well, and so what inspired you to write the discipline? Discipline, not disciple. Well, disciple is good to be a God's disciple. God's disciple.

That's awesome. But, you know, discipline, discipline. Now, how is that different from other books on your topic of procrastination? Well, it's different from other books because it's it's practical tools that you can use.

One of the things that that frustrated me with some of the other books that are out there is that it was a lot of one size fits all answers. Right. Always you have to wake up at four o'clock in the morning. You have to stop checking your email at a certain time. That doesn't necessarily work for everybody.

So one of the things that's unique about the discipline of now is that you'll find practical tools no matter where you fall at. No matter what your personality type is, if you're a morning person, if you're a night owl, you will find specific strategies to overcome procrastination. Well, but OK, so but how do you are you like exempt from procrastinating? Because I think that everybody has been like passing through some procrastination all the time, right? It's not an abnormal thing.

Oh, goodness. I am far from exempt from procrastination. The key is that it's all about discipline. As a matter of fact, one of the things that I struggle with when it comes with procrastination is this idea of perfectionism.

Right. And I'm I consider myself a high performer and a high achiever and I like things to be perfect. But sometimes what happens is you're waiting for things to be perfect before you get started. And here's the key. Here's something I had to learn for myself is that you can't allow perfect to become the enemy of progress.

Thank you. That is so important to say. You just have to give it your best shot. Be diligent and be obedient.

And trust me, if you do the right thing and you're trying your best, God will provide perfect timing. He does me. It works.

It really does. But you got to try. You can't do it like halfway or not try enough or try to live a little bit. Give it your best. Make God proud. Make yourself proud. Make your family proud.

Why not? Every day is a blessing. Absolutely. We will continue talking about this, guys. Winning the good fight. And we would love to hear from you.

Call us with your question on procrastinating or how to find purpose in your life. Share your story with us. One eight six six thirty four truth. One eight six six thirty four truth. You will be right back with Amy Cabell and the kid.

Looking for somebody with some super hero. Some fairytale. So.

Something just. And now we will continue with Amy Cabell and the kid. Welcome back, guys. And remember, we're live every Saturday at one p.m. Eastern on your radio, on our app, the Cure and our Web site. God is the cure dot com. All shows are available also as a video podcast or as an audio podcast.

Just look for the cure with Amy Cabell, wherever podcasts are. The song that just played was something just like this by Chainsmokers and Coldplay. And I can swear God's singing it to us. Or at least he inspired the singer to sing it to us. But here's my take. God doesn't need us to be perfect.

He just wants to see us trying. We won't know right from wrong and just won't know. We won't know right from wrong and just what to do when we stop falling for the line. We think it comes from us with that knowing how easily we are fooled. But the enemy is real and the influence of this world is how we're schooled. We are not superhuman with superhero gifts, but God is all we need and surely everything to us.

He is. More than anything that can ever be explained. He's in the center of our lives and our very bliss. He made us perfect as can be, according to his will. We were on his list so we can be like him, learn to love so perfectly and peacefully exist. God watches us so tenderly. He wanted something just like this. A love willing to die for people he can miss until we are united.

He is still our greatest fan. Look at the effort and all he's done for us since he created us and life began. We are talking about finding purpose in your life. Pray every day, by the way. And also, guys, my book is just about out. Last thing.

And oh, it also has updates. It's Love is the Answer. God is a Cure. My best advice to all my friends growing up. OK, so, Eric, back to you. So, Eric, any tips on management? Time management. Oh, time. Right, right. Time management. Yes, I do. Two critical tips.

Number one is to get in the habit of making appointments with yourself. One of the things that when I'm talking to someone and they tell me, well, Eric, I didn't have time to do that. And that's not the case, because if something is really a priority, we're going to find it. Wow. My wife says the same thing. Like, that's my regular excuse. I didn't have time.

Well, you'll be surprised how time flies. There's a Spanish saying called Comiendo Kativa de Mono. You might not know what that means in English. And we didn't know that as kids growing up. But we learned to pay attention when we heard that. That means you get distracted. And when you get distracted and you don't stay focused on what it is you're supposed to do, time flies. And then you wonder where time went. And then you're looking at yourself not having time to do the things you need to do. But please continue. For me, you bring up a critical thing here.

Right. So I remember I would say, OK, I'm going to look for employees this week. I'm going to hire employees this week. I'm going to run ads. I'm going to do all that. And then before you know it, it was Friday at five o'clock and I hadn't done anything. But it's better to say I'm going to recruit on Tuesday at two o'clock and make that appointment with yourself.

And you're much more likely to do it. That's the first key is make an appointment with yourself. You want to have better time management. The second thing is something that I call the twigs top five. This is critical.

The twigs top five. What I do, I get a three by five card, which I have right here. And every evening, once my day ends, I'm writing down the five critical things that I need to do the following day. And these five things are in alignment with my ultimate goal. So these things are going to move me forward. I write those down the day before and then the following day. Those are my priorities. Those are the things for the day to be a success for me, for the day to be a win.

I need to accomplish all five of my twigs top five. And I'm telling you that has helped me to avoid procrastination on many days because it's like once I write something down, I feel compelled to do it. It's like it's engraved in my mind once I write it down that I have to do it. So those are some key things you can do to better manage your time. And I mean, I guess you could also be on a time schedule and give yourself a time limit like by this day or by this time.

I need to have this done because what you say is very important. You know, you organize your thoughts by writing them down. But it's also good to to make to give yourself a time limit. I learned that from a business coach. Also, if if you tend to maybe if you don't have access to three by five cards or if you tend to misplace them and you can't find them or you forget to look at them, most of us have a phone. You can just write it on your notes and erase it day by day. But it helps you stay on track. I think that that's super helpful.

Thank you. Also, you know, Ephesians 210 in the Bible, it says, for we are God's masterpiece. He created us anew in Christ so we can do good things.

He planned for us long ago. So, Eric, how do we know what is our purpose in life? That's a loaded question, isn't it?

Yeah, I mean, but it's an important question. And I say that clarity is the starting point of success. And part of the reason that people procrastinate is because they're walking around not knowing their purpose. I would say for the first step, the first thing to do is to pray about it and ask, ask what what is what is my purpose?

What was I put here to do? And the other thing is to pay attention to your gifting, because a lot of times your gifting gives you clues to what your purpose is. What is that thing that you do that you get fulfillment out of? And it's effortless to you.

But people on the outside, they look at it like, man, I don't understand how you do that. So I think if you like for me, for example, because this was a struggle for me trying to figure out what my purpose was. I always felt fulfilled when I was speaking to a group. I always would.

I remember even before I was getting paid to do it, I would think to myself, I could just do this all day, every day. And that was the key. And the key is to follow that, follow the gifting, follow the things that you have a passion for.

And if you stay on that road, you'll find your purpose. So basically what you enjoy doing and comes, you know, easier to you than others. It's something that could be a gift of yours. That's one way to identify it and something maybe that can make a difference for the better or make things better. So that that's a good way. What do you find a gift is to watch a movie?

Oh, hey, that's a gift to have. At least it'll keep you entertained. But a lot of times I found that purpose usually is a lot bigger than you. OK. Yeah, that's a good point. There you are.

Yeah, it's really impacting. So the other thing you have to pay attention to when you're talking about purpose, you want to look at things in your life that you've overcome. It could be tragedy.

It could be something that was terrible during that instance. But you overcame it because it's possible that you overcame it, that you could help someone else. Excellent point.

I'm a good testament to that. And so let's say we develop a goal. How can we stay focused on that goal and not get easily distracted?

As you know, the enemy wants to distract us from good things. Especially those of us who have important goals. So you've probably heard this that we're in the time of year where everybody's making New Year's resolutions. And you've probably heard that 92 percent of these New Year's resolutions fail within 90 days. And part of that is that if you're talking about, let's say you make an annual goal, it's hard to stay focused for an entire year because things come up. So what I teach people is to focus on 12 week goals. OK.

Right. You basically you think about what do you want? You can think about what I want for the year and then say, OK, what do I need to do for the next 12 weeks to make it happen?

And then for every 12 weeks, it's like it's January all over again. And then if you can break down your 12 week goals and you're putting it on your daily twigs top five sheet that I mentioned earlier. Now, everything you're doing, you know, is working towards your goal.

And it's easy to stay focused that way. And if they so I'm going to get so basically realistic goals become more doable and little goes accumulate to a bigger goal. I love it. Thank you. We would love to hear from you guys.

Tell us about your personal stories of finding purpose in your life and feeling finding fulfillment. Eight, six, six, thirty four to write back with Amy Cabell and the care. My beautiful. I just will be happy. When you call me, I'm like diamonds in the sky.

I. And now we will continue with Amy Cabell and the care. Hi again and thanks for tuning in. Remember, we're live every Saturday at 1 p.m. Eastern on your radio, on our app, The Cure and on social media.

Just look for God is the cure again later. The show will be available as a podcast. Just search for The Cure with Amy Cabell.

Now, Amy is spelled with an I and a double E. Was there a search for God is the Cure on any podcast channel? It's French. Don't ask me why. My name. I'm not French.

I'm Cuban, Cuban-American. But oh, well, the song that just played was Diamonds by Rihanna. It's kind of difficult because it says so much. This song is awesome.

But here I go anyway. When we're happy, we shine brighter than ever. A diamond is what we can be with God. There isn't a storm we cannot weather. Some of us can drown when treading through a raging sea, but we learn to float above when finding hope in God. We discover we are free for those who turn to God, feel the energy right away and will then feel so alive never to turn back or go astray. For Jesus is the way and God will see us through the night while he provides a path to paradise with great comfort, strength and sight. We will succeed and feel complete as we illuminate so bright.

When following Jesus faithfully and loving everyone to God's delight and commit to what is right by seeking God within so that truth can shed a light. As we love, as we learn to love the center, not the sun. We are continuing our conversation on choosing responsibility over simplicity with our special guest, Eric Twix. He has Twix principles, we learned. OK, so, you know, he's funny.

He's a funny guy. So before we went into break, we were talking about, you know, short term goals, which are more doable and accumulated. They lead to bigger goals. And is that what you meant by talent or cultivated?

Would you like to expand? Well, yeah, I just think that when you've got the short term goal that you're achieving, you start to build wins. Right. And as you start to build wins, you start to build confidence. And then as you start to build confidence, you start to build momentum and it just keeps you moving forward. I think it's critical to focus more on the short term. So here's something that has happened. I've coached someone and we set these goals in January.

Right. I'm going to change the world. I'm going to do this.

I'm going to do that. And I can remember checking in with this person in April and I'm like, hey, how are you coming with your goals? And they say to me, hey, Eric, what were my goals again? Changing the world? So that's what happens if you if you don't have short windows, it's very easy to lose sight of what you're working towards. And I mean, aren't we a masterpiece in the making of progress, constantly learning, constantly growing and, you know, finding fulfillment really and helping others. It's a lot more fulfilling when you don't make it about yourself and actually a lot less drama, too. So it's actually a good practice, you know, to always think of others.

That's OK. That's deep. Always think about others. So what if we're stuck in a job that we really don't like? I mean, is that our purpose?

I mean, how do we get out of that? And what I'm about to say is it's going to be controversial. So brace yourself.

OK, I'm sitting. I think hating your job is a blessing. OK. And here's why. Because it motivates you to look at other actions. Right. Because sometimes God wants to motivate you to move to where he really wants you to be. And a lot of times that that intense dislike that and the fact that you're uncomfortable is going to motivate you to move forward and take the actions that you need to get to where you need to be. Because there's this place that's called no man's land. Right. So no man's land is when you're unhappy where you are, but you're not unhappy enough to do something about it. You just stay in the wrong place. You're going to push you basically.

Cool. So that fact you hate your job. Again, you should be asking the question if you're listening to us and you hate your job. The question you should be asking is what now? What now? What next?

Right. What now? What next?

What steps can I take to move into a better situation? And how about for for those of us that may be lacking motivation, how do we find inspiration? I understand it's important to be inspired about something.

Yes. If you are connected to your purpose, that in and of itself will inspire you to move forward. So I just it's all about getting clear about what your purpose is. And it's so important to understand that just because you don't have it.

It goes back to what I said earlier. Just because you don't have it 100 percent figured out doesn't mean that you have to stop moving. Just just take it a step at a time. Like, for example, I hate to admit this, right? I got to a point where I knew that I wanted to be a speaker. I wanted to be a professional speaker, but it took me three years to do anything.

That's not bad. And finally, finally, I said, you know what? The least I can do is join Toastmasters. Right. I like to speak. At least I can do is join this speaking organization.

Right. So I did that. And then when I got to the speaking organization, I met someone who trained professional speakers. I went through the training. And then after that, I met someone who was in the National Speakers Association.

And that changed everything for me because I joined the National Speakers Association and I met so many other valuable connections and learned so much information. That's really why I'm here talking to you. But I say all that to say is you don't have to have it all figured out and just focus on the gifting and what inspired you to take a small step. So basically, take that first step and ask God for guidance, because it's been my experience that God fills in the rest.

You know, wherever you fall short, he picks up as long as you're helping yourself. You know, God does help those who put forth the effort and take the steps necessary to move forward. Think about this. Think about this. Right. It requires faith for you to move when you don't have it all figured out. Right. If you knew everything 100 percent, you wouldn't need faith.

You have it all figured out already. But when you're not sure, when you take that step, that shows that you have faith. You have faith that there's someone else you may not know, but there's someone else who does. And if I'm moving in that direction, I'm connected to that someone who does. And how is faith cultivated? Things need to look not so for sure.

Things need to look scary. And then when you succeed and when you're successful, you're like, aha, God does help. God does listen to prayers. Wow. Miracles do happen.

This didn't seem possible and it became possible. So, you know, it's just going with it, you know, and believing that you have a loving father and he's going to be there for you and he wants you to succeed. That's the truth. We just have to believe in ourselves as well. And if you're lacking belief in yourself, then you can believe in yourself through God, that God works through you.

If you're not good enough, then you're you're strengthened because God works through you and that's good enough. We're almost finishing with today's show, by the way. Only a few minutes left. Well, we have. Well, we're just about. Yeah, we're just about done.

Goodness. I never have enough time for my guests, but thank you so much, Eric. You've been wonderful and you are a great speaker.

I'm fine. I'm glad you finally went for it. I'm glad you didn't procrastinate any longer. But remember, guys, he's the author of Discipline of Now. So but thank you so much, Eric, for being on the show with us. Oh, you have proof.

Dear God, we pray that you would remind us that we are all a part of building and expanding your kingdom. We ask that you give us a fresh vision for your purpose, for our lives. We ask that you open our eyes, our ears, our hearts and our minds to your vision so that we can live out our purpose.

We move anything from our lives that hinders us from discerning your vision. We pray that you would draw us closer to you as you bring us revelation to our purpose. Please reveal to us what we need to do today to not run wild, but rather be focused on your divine vision. In Jesus name, we pray.

Amen. So thank you to our audio producer today, Beth Ann, the truth protector, for being with us, making the show sound wonderful and making the sound music possible. And thanks to the Christian car guy, Robbie Dilmore, for his continuing guidance and awesome shows. The guys just way too cool.
