Where the mission is to sharpen the biblical worldview of Christians and to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. I'm David Wheaton, the host. in prayer. We weren't planning to spend a third straight week discussing Charlie Kirk and the issues surrounding his assassination. But after watching his memorial service this past Sunday, it became clear that there is much more to consider here. The memorial service was something like I've never seen. From the scale of the event, Nearly 200,000 people in attendance at two adjoining stadiums in Arizona.
And an estimated viewing audience of around one hundred million people. To the Notable attendees, President Trump and most of his cabinet, were in attendance. to above all, the most important thing, the proclamation of the gospel. over and over again by many of the speakers. T P U S A, Turning Point USA.
the organization Charlie Kirk founded and led. has the video of the entire service on their YouTube page. and I highly recommend you watch it. The first three and a half hours was a music concert as attendees filled in. The final four and a half hours.
Featured speaker after speaker. The climactic message. was not the final one given by President Trump. but rather the penultimate one given by Charlie Kirk's widow, Erika. Considering the unimaginable grief of having her husband shot and killed in public just eleven days earlier.
Considering the world wide magnitude of this event, the content of her message and the manner in which she delivered it was one of the most impactful speeches I have ever seen. will play some of her message in the final segment today. But before we get to that We're going to discuss the remarkable nature of this event and how God has truly worked something good and great. through the assassination of Charlie Kirk. We'll also discuss how transformative movements like this need guard rails Thus they compromise the Word and the Gospel and misrepresent God.
In this first segment, though, I'd like to focus on just how remarkable this memorial service was, and how Christians should be rejoicing over it. As I mentioned, this is our third straight program on the topic of Charlie Kirk's assassination. And if you missed any of the previous two programs, I would encourage you to listen at our website, thechristianworldview.org. or on your podcast app on your device. as each program is sort of building on the previous one.
Now one thing has become very clear. Charlie Kirk's influence, both as a conservative leader and a Christian. Has become far, far. far greater After his death, than when he was alive. He was very well known and influential while living, but now he is a revered American hero both as a conservative and a Christian.
If Charlie Kirk had died in a car crash or, say, from an illness at age 31, I don't believe this would have gained so much momentum. But because Charlie was assassinated in public At a college, As he advocated for conservative and Christian values, This has opened the floodgates with Conservatives and Christians. who have felt marginalized. shamed, and even targeted, dating back to when Barack Obama won the White House in two thousand eight. I think that was a turning point in this country.
When Marxism The God rejecting Liberty suppressing Divisive, sin-promoting worldview that is the antagonist of Christianity. began to permeate Our society. in government, education. media, even churches through quote social justice.
Now mind you, this Marxism had been brewing on college campuses since the 1960s. But in two thousand eight. It became mainstream and enforced. By government. in the form of universal health care.
Homosexual, so-called marriage, corrupting the design of marriage and family as God designed it. Redistribution of taxation from income producers to non-income producers. speech suppression. This is all classic Marxism. All of this is an affront.
to traditional American values of Individual liberties in our Constitution. And Christian morality as well. Christians felt this assault. viscerally And even personally, like when they would be. Sued for refusing to use their artistic talents to bake a cake.
or take photographs. of a so-called homosexual wedding. As Obama began a second term in 2012, Charlie Kirk was about eighteen years old. and he recognized, even at that early age, what was happening. particularly with young people on college campuses.
and he decided to do something to change the tide. with idealism Intelligence. relentless work ethic. and his conservative and Christian values he made a huge impact. By the twenty twenty four election, this last one young people were migrating to conservatism, In droves.
He was the champion of the right, the most important and influential Activist.
So when Charlie was assassinated It seems that something of a dam broke inside conservatives and Christians. Who have felt marginalized, shamed, and targeted over the last 17 years, and they said, no more. We're going to be bold like Charlie. We're not going to be afraid of speaking the truth of our Christian worldview. We are going to stand up.
and take ground back. That was the mission of Charlie Kirk in Turning Point USA, and it explains how Charlie has been. Revered on a massive scale, way beyond the impact he had when he was. Alive. Charlie Kirk was the most important activist in helping Trump get elected in 2024.
To conservatives and Christians, Trump is the only leader. albeit an imperfect one, Who is capable of pushing back against the Marxists and taking back ground in saving this country from what Obama promised, that we would be fundamentally transformed. Christians don't love Trump's immoral past. his narcissism, his quote mean tweets. but they know there is no one else politically that will punch back hard.
Charlie knew this, and that's why he supported Trump so much. He's often tossing out mega hats at His college events Charlie has always been a patriotic American, and he worked tirelessly to turn back the country to its founding Christian values. But in recent years as he grew in his faith, he had he became much more vocal about the Gospel and Biblical truths as well. That helps to explain why many of the top members of The Trump administration spoke. at Charlie Kirk's Memorial Service.
along with many leading conservatives. President Trump. Vice President Vance. Susie Wiles, White House Chief of Staff, Marco Rubio, Secretary of State. Robert F.
Kennedy, junior, Secretary of Health and Human Services. Pete Hegseth. Secretary of Defense. Tulsi Gabber, director of National Intelligence Donald Trump Jr.
Son of the president. Tucker Carlson, political commentator, Stephen Miller, White House Deputy Chief of Staff, all of them spoke. At Charlie Kirk's Memorial Service. But the first speaker was Pastor Rob McCoy. He was a pastor for 25 years at Godspeak Calvary Chapel in Thousand Oaks, California.
He was known as Charlie's Pastor. He was the co-chair of TPUSA Faith in California. This is a Faith-based organization to TPUSA, which is more of a conservative organization. And he was the first of many speakers. At the service who would clearly present the gospel to a worldwide audience.
Charlie Kirk called me his pastor. I called him my friend. I was with Charlie about um A little over two weeks ago in Korea. As he was supporting the persecuted Christians over there, as they're raiding churches and imprisoning pastors. And he spoke to the youth there that now are chanting on the streets: I am Charlie Kirk standing for freedom across that country.
Now, my responsibility entrusted to me by my friend and his wife. You're gonna hear of what Charlie did, but I'm here today to tell you the why in what he did. The why? brought him the courage. The why brought him the wisdom and the strength.
The why Is the one that Charlie wanted to welcome as the guest of honor. The guest of honor is Resume is Long. He's the king of glory. He's the prince of peace. He's the savior of the world.
He's the living God. He's the God of all mercy and grace. The total embodiment of love. the total embodiment of truth. And he's here today to call his children back to him.
From the thin veil of heaven, Charlie declares to all earthly powers and principalities who will gather here. They have come into the presence of the God of all creation. Charlie wanted his Savior to be the guest of honor. He wanted all of you to receive this gift from him: the why and what he did. Charlie was never afraid.
Because he knew his life was secure in the hand of God. Jesus left The glory of heaven's throne for the humiliation of an earthly cross. He was fully tempted, yet was without sin. For those of you who Struggle with the word sin. It's real simple, it's an archer's term.
Where the bullseye is and where the arrow lands, that's called the sin distance, how far you've fallen from perfection. And there are none righteous, no, not one. We've all missed the mark, the bullseye. And we try to get to God by our efforts, but there is no effort that will bring us back into the presence of a righteous God. You see, the wages of sin is death.
Charlie knew this and at an early age he entrusted his life to the Savior of the world. Jesus came to this earth Was tempted in all ways, yet was without sin, was crucified upon a cross. His blood was poured out because blood must be shed for the remission of sins. And his death upon that cross was sufficient for all the world's sins, but only efficient for those who, like Charlie, would receive him As their Savior. Jesus has come to seek and save that which is lost.
And I would say this to all of you. The Lord Loves you. He wants to save you. He wants to give you A new life. He wants to cover the multitude of your sins by the blood He shed upon the cross.
The Bible says, if you believe in your heart and you confess with your tongue, Jesus is Lord, you will be saved to the glory of the Father. Pastor McCoy went to ask those who had trusted in Christ. to stand up. and then showed a QR code on the screen for resources. Encouraging these new believers to get into a Bible-teaching local church.
Now the clarity of this message alone. would have been considered over-the-top religious. at any public figure's memorial service. But his message was only the beginning. Following him, there were some good speakers from TPUSA.
who had worked with Charlie. Including the son of Rob McCoy, who was Charlie's. Chief of Staff. And then a few speakers later came. Frank Turek of the Apologetic Ministry cross-examined.
He was a Mentor to Charlie, helping Charlie handle all the questions he would face on campuses. In fact, Frank was standing beside Charlie in Utah, when Charlie was shot. Frank explained. The gospel is And got to the center of the gospel, which is penal substitutionary atonement. And he talked about double imputation how God imputes or ascribes or accounts the believer's sin to Christ, there's one imputation.
And since that sin is fully paid for by Christ, God imputes Christ's perfect righteousness to to the believer. There's a second imputation that takes place. And this is the basis on which a believer can spend eternity in the perfect presence of God, because all of his sins have been paid for, past, present, and future and he's been credited with the perfect righteousness of Christ. Listen to Frank Turek at Charlie Kirk's Memorial.
Now I want you to know that Charlie right now is in heaven. Not because He was the great husband and father. Not because he saved millions of kids out of darkness on college campuses. Not because. He changed minds and chased votes to save the country.
Not because he sacrificed himself for for his savior. Charlie Kirk is in heaven because his Savior sacrificed himself for Charlie Kirk.
Now look. There's only two things you can get in the afterlife. You can get justice or you can get grace. Ladies and gentlemen, does anyone in here, does anybody out there watching around the world want justice from an infinitely just being? I don't want justice.
I want grace.
Well, the only way to get grace for an infinitely just being is for him to punish an innocent substitute in our place. Where can he find an innocent substitute among us? He can't. We're all falling.
So what does this infinitely just and infinitely loving God do? He adds humanity to his deity. He comes to earth. He allows the creatures that rebelled against him to torture and kill him.
So he could place their punishment upon himself and then by trusting in him, every one of us can be forgiven and then given his righteousness. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the greatest story ever told. And it happens to be true. There's evidence for this and Charlie knew it! Watch his videos!
Charlie knew that life wasn't Just about money, it wasn't just about sex, it wasn't just about power, it wasn't just about prestige. He knew that the purpose of life is to know Jesus and to make him known, to make Heaven Crowded. Charlie's eyes were fixed on eternity. Where have your eyes been fixed? What have you been doing with your lives?
What you been doing? What are you going to do now? You know, in every evil, God brings forth some ripples of good. In this case, he's bringing a tsunami of good. Look around.
Again, that was apologist Frank Turek. He said There's only two things you can get in the afterlife, justice or grace. No one should want justice from God. We want his grace. We want to be forgiven of our sins, and given Christ's righteousness.
He said the purpose of life is to know Christ and to make him known. This had to be the largest audience that heard the gospel at one time in the history of the world. What a Great and merciful God, we serve, to ordain that Charlie would be assassinated. And then God's gospel. more greatly known.
But it didn't stop there. Tucker Carlson, former Fox News Channel host and popular conservative podcaster. Who I'm not even sure claims to be a born-again Christian? as Jesus called Nicodemus to be in John chapter three? Yet he certainly understands very well.
what Charley Kirk was all about. This is the most unbelievable thing I think I've ever seen. And I don't Whatever happens next in America, I hope it's in this direction because God is here and. You can feel it. And Charlie would have loved this, not just because He loved large groups of people, but because ultimately he was a Christian evangelist.
And it actually reminds me of my favorite story ever.
So it was about 2,000 years ago in Jerusalem and Jesus shows up and he starts. talking about the people in power. And he starts. doing the worst thing that you can do, which is telling the truth about people. and they hate it.
And they just go bonkers. They hate it. And they become obsessed with making him stop. This guy's got to stop talking. We've got to shut this guy up.
And I can just sort of picture the scene in a lamplit room with a bunch of guys sitting around eating hummus, thinking about what do we do. About this guy telling the truth about us, we must make him stop talking. And there's always one guy with the bright idea, and I can just hear him say, I've got an idea, why don't we just kill him? That'll shut him up. That'll fix the problem.
The main thing about Charlie and his message, he was bringing the gospel to the country. He was doing the thing that the people in charge hate most which is calling for them to repent.
So, how is Charlie's message different? And Charlie was a political person. Who was Deeply interested in coalition building and in getting the right people in office because he knew. That Vast improvements are possible politically, but he also knew That politics is not the final answer. It can't answer the deepest questions, actually.
That the only real solution is Jesus. And the reason It's really simple. Politics at its core is a process of critiquing other people and getting them to change. Christianity, the gospel message, the message of Jesus, begins with repentance. Christianity calls upon you to change.
Right. Poor prayer given to us by Jesus, the Lord's prayer. Demands that we forgive other people, but preceding that. Is a request for our forgiveness. In other words, Forgive us our sins, meditate on what we've done wrong, how we've fallen short.
and then it becomes possible to forgive other people. That is a call to change our hearts. from Jesus and that is the only way forward. in this country. That is the only solution to where we all know we're going.
And Charlie knew where we were going. Without that. And that is not a call for being politically passive, of course not. I stood at many stages with Charlie calling for various people to be elected, particularly Donald Trump. And I'm proud of that.
It's only an acknowledgement that what Charlie was really saying. Is that change begins, the only change that matters when we repent of our sins? We Me? A recognition that the real problem is me. and how fallen I am.
And that was the reason that Charlie was fearless. At all times, truly fearless to his last moment, he was unafraid. He was not defensive and there was no hate in his heart. I know that because I've got a little hate compartment in my heart. And I would often express that to Charlie about various people, and he would always say, always say, That's a sad person.
That's a broken person. That's a person who needs help. That's a person who needs Jesus. He said that in private. Because he meant it.
So, I guess I would just say this gathering and God's presence, God's very obvious presence in this room, the presence of Jesus, is a reminder. of what we've known for 2,000 years. Which is any attempt to extinguish the light causes it to burn brighter. Every single time.
So as we As we proceed into whatever comes next, and clearly something's coming next. Remember this moment. Remember being in a room with the Holy Spirit humming like a tuning fork. This is the way. Right here.
This is the way. And that is what Charlie Kirk was saying underneath it all. Thank you, and God bless. Could that have been said any better? The only real solution is Jesus, not politics.
Christianity, the gospel, begins with repentance. The only way forward is to have our hearts changed. I've again, I've never heard Tucker profess to be born again. But he sure sounds like he understands and believes the gospel to me. This is just Remarkable.
and worthy of our rejoicing. We'll take a two-minute break to tell you about some ministry resources and updates. and after that more coming up on the Charlie Kirk Memorial Service. Today in the program we are discussing the remarkable memorial service of Charlie Kirk.
So after Pastor Rob McCoy and Frank Turek and Tucker Carlson and others who knew Charlie spoke. The speakers then turn to those who hold The highest offices in civil government in our country, one after another. President Trump to J.D. Vance. to many in his cabinet.
Now, I'm just going to highlight those who. clearly proclaim the truth about Christ in His Word. Starting with Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Apparently he has attended both Roman Catholic and Southern Baptist churches. I think he attends Roman Catholic Church now.
but he certainly could articulate The Message of the Gospel The movement Charlie Kirk led and started and gave fuel to. was about politics, but not only about politics. It was deeper. It was broader. And I would say that taking the liberty But I'm confident he would agree.
One of the things he wants us to take away from this. From all of this. is the following. His deep belief That we were all created, every single one of us, before the beginning of time. by the hands of the God of the universe, an all-powerful God.
who loved us and created us for the purpose of living with him in eternity. But then sin entered the world and separated us from our Creator. And so God took on the form of a man. and came down and lived among us. And he suffered like men.
And he died like a man. But on the third day he rose unlike any mortal man. And then And to prove any doubters wrong, he ate with his disciples so they could see and they touched his wounds. He didn't rise as a ghost or as a spirit, but as flesh. And then he rose to the heaven, but he promised he would return.
And he will. And when he returns, because he took on that death, because he carried that cross, we were freed from the sin that separated us from him. And when he returns, there will be a new heaven and a new earth, and we will all be together, and we are going to have a great reunion there again with Charlie and all the people we love. Thank you, and God bless you. Hard to believe that's the Secretary of State of the United States, Marco Rubio.
he went through some of the major points of the Gospel. who God is? who man is as a sinner? Who Christ is and his sacrifice on the cross and his resurrection? That he's going to return someday and create a New heavens and new earth?
Now granted, it would have been better said. If he had said, if you repent and believe, rather than we will all be together, assuming that sort of we're all going to be Christians, it could be taken that way, the way he said it. But again God uses the proclamation of His gospel to To convict and save souls.
So, even a slightly imperfect gospel presentation, God will use for his purposes. Of course, we always want to say it. precisely and accurately, though. But this wasn't the end, not even close. Pete Hegseth.
Secretary of War then spoke. Imagine hearing this. at any time in America in the last 100 years. Charlie Kirk. The Patriots.
A conservative, a leader, a builder, an advocate, an author, a lover. of freedom. A husband A father. A Christian. and a warrior.
You see, Charlie Kirk was a true believer. For the cause of freedom, for the power of young people. belief in our republic and our founding principles, in America first and make America great again. But more importantly He was a true Believer. Only Christ is king.
Our Lord and Savior. Our sins are washed away. By the blood of Jesus, fear God and fear. No man. That was Charlie Kirk.
You see, Charlie Kirk started Turning Point USA to change our politics. And he pursued that truth with more vigor than anyone I've ever met. But over time he realized like so many of us have that This is not a political war. It's not even a cultural war. It's a spiritual war.
Faith and family First, there is a God, and as Charlie would say, It is not us. Were sinners saved only by grace in need of the gospel? You see, we always did need less government. But what Charlie understood and infused into his movement is We also needed a lot more God. Charlie Had big plans.
But God had even bigger plans. Charlie started a political movement but unleashed a spiritual revival. My pastor texted me the day after. That horrific event. and said, Pete, the devil overplayed his hand.
Charlie started with Liberty. but ended up lighting our country on fire for Christ. He started Turning Point USA, but this moment is the turning point. for the USA. Right now.
He died the way he lived. Speaking the truth. Charlie waged war not with a weapon. But with a tent A microphone, his mind, and the truth. and the gates of hell could not prevail against him.
He went into the darkest of places, like Paul in the book of Acts. We went into college campuses where they said we couldn't go. And he was the light. He was bold. He was brave.
He was a hero. Charlie Kirk was a citizen who had the biblical heart of a soldier. of the faith. who put on every single day the full armor of God. With a smile.
As the scriptures tell all Christ followers to do. Charlie Kirk. A warrior for country. A warrior for Christ. He ran the race.
He finished the fight.
Now It's our turn. My charge to all of you. Live worthy. of Charlie Kirk's sacrifice and put Christ at the center of your life. as he advocated for giving his.
This isn't speaking, this is Preaching. By the Secretary of Defense Pete Hagseth Again, another one at the highest levels of government. Put Christ at the center. of your life. Wow.
Truth But it didn't stop there. up came the Vice President of the United States, JD Vance. And here's what he had to say. about Charlie Kirk. and his Christian faith.
The evil murderer who took Charlie from us. Expected us to have a funeral today, and instead, my friends, we have had a revival in celebration of Charlie Kirk and of his Lord Jesus Christ. He would encourage us to remember that for every hateful voice celebrating his murder, there are a thousand people mourning it and fighting for his legacy every single day. He would tell me to pray for my friends, but also for my enemies. He would tell me to put on the full armor of God and get back to work.
He would tell us. to commit ourselves to telling the truth. and to fight for that truth. each and every single day. He would tell us to talk about God's love.
And the fact that that love applied everybody across the whole human family. Charlie suffered. A terrible fate, my friends. We all know it. We all saw it.
Or to think. It is not the worst fate. It is better to face the gunman. than to live your life afraid to speak the truth. It is better to be persecuted for your faith than to deny the kingship of Christ.
For Charlie, we will remember that it is better to stand on our feet defending the United States of America and defending the truth than it is to die on our knees. My friends, for Charlie, we must remember that he is a hero to the United States of America and he is a martyr for the Christian faith. May our Heavenly Father give us the courage to live as Charlie lived. That is what we must do for Charlie. You ran a good race, my friend.
Can you imagine these words coming out of the mouth of other vice presidents in the past, like Kamala Harris or Joe Biden or Al Gore? One of the amazing things about the influence of Charlie Kirk is not just his influence on the country, but on the highest levels of leadership in our nation. They all respected him for his patriotism and activism, but especially for his faith in Christ.
Now Charlie's wife Erika spoke next. A truly incredible speech. We're going to hear some of that in the final segment today. And then last, our President spoke. He had been sitting in a suite in the stadium listening to all these speakers, hearing the gospel over and over again.
Now Trump isn't a born-again Christian. At this point, But who knows what God is going to do in his life? He heard Erika say I forgive Charlie's Murderer. just as Christ forgave those who crucified him, And here's what Trump had to say about Charlie and Erica's love for their enemies. He did not hate his opponents, he wanted The best for them.
That's where I disagreed with Charlie. I hate my opponent. And I don't want the best for them. I'm sorry. I am sorry, Erica.
But now Erika can talk to me and the whole group, and maybe they can convince me that that's not right, but I can't stand my opponent. Yeah. Charlie's angry. Look at that. He's angry at me now.
He wasn't interested in demonizing anyone. He was interested in. persuading everyone to The ideas and principles he believed were good, right, and true. Before each appearance, he prayed. These words, God used me for your will, always said the same thing, use me for your will.
President Trump being a little humorous and self-deprecating here. In other words, Charlie is a better man than I am. But this is a serious point. about forgiveness. God gives the believer the supernatural power to forgive, even a hateful.
Heinous offense like The killing of your husband. But the question we always have to ask is: who are we not to forgive someone? when God has forgiven us infinitely more.
So if you were someone watching this service Who wasn't even a Christian? The overall impression you would have had was that Charlie Kirk was a Christ follower above all else. and that faith in Christ is the most important thing. I didn't watch every speaker, and there were lots of different religious backgrounds, or probably no faith in some of them. But Christians should rejoice that the Gospel was made Very clear.
and that God will use this event To bring Probably many people to himself. It's like the passage in Philippians chapter one where Paul says And he's in prison at the time. I want you to know, brethren, that my circumstances have turned out for the greater progress of the gospel, even though I'm in prison, so that my imprisonment in the cause of Christ has become well known throughout the whole Praetorian Guard and to everyone else. And that most of the brethren, other believers, trusting in the Lord because of my imprisonment, have far more courage to speak the word of God without fear.
Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ even from envy and strife, but But some also from good will. The latter do it out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defence of the gospel. The former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition rather than from pure motives, thinking to cause me distress in my imprisonment. What then? What's Paul's response?
Only that in every way Whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed. And in this I I rejoice. Charlie Kirk's death has turned. turned out for the greater progress of the gospel. The cause of Christ has become more well known, as Paul says in that passage, to the very top of our land.
Christians have far more courage. to speak the word of God without fear, as this passage says. And what's the conclusion? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christianity Christ is proclaimed. And in this I rejoice, Paul says, that And so should we.
We'll take a two-minute break to tell you about some ministry resources and updates. In the final segment, we'll hear a portion of Trelley Kirk's widow Erica's speech. in a word on prioritizing and discerning. I'm David Wheaton and you are listening to the Christian Worldview Radio Program. What is the Christian Worldview Radio program really about?
Fundamentally, it's about impacting people. Families, churches, with the life and eternity-changing truth of God's Word. We know the gospel of Jesus Christ is the only message that saves us from God's wrath. By God's grace, for The menu is not a very good thing. And we know the Bible is the inspired Word of God, providing the only way to think and live to the glory of God.

order resources for adults and children, and support the ministry. Today in the program we are discussing the remarkable memorial service of Charlie Kirk.
Before we conclude with some portions of Erica Kirk's message, I just want to say a few words about. priorities and discernment. What we watched at Charlie Kirk's memorial service is Christian nationalism. It's the belief that Christ and Christian principles should be integrated into civil. in cultural spheres, not just in the religious sphere, like at church.
Someone's worldview will rule. Why should secular humanists and Marxists be allowed to have their religion represented in our society and not Christianity?
Now Christians are going to pursue this to different extremes. From one side steering clear of politics to maybe just voting their values. all the way to the other side of Christian dominionist. Which aimed to take over the quote seven mountains of influence of society and thereby usher in Christ's return. I don't see a biblical basis for that.
Most of our founders Were Christians in the wide sense of the word. They invoked the name of God in the Bible. public life. The caution I'd give Christians is to, number one, prioritize the local church and the great commission. above Christian nationalism.
It's easy to get those two priorities. Reversed. The second word is discernment. T P U S A is an activist organization to advance conservatism. in high schools and colleges.
TPUSA FAITH Is an activist organization for Christianity. The highest call for Christians is to honor Obey and And accurately represent who God is. and his gospel. That means never doing anything that will confuse that. For example, TPUSA, the political organization, on their campus tour this fall.
Has some of these speakers. Michael Knowles, a Roman Catholic, Vivek Ram Miswamy, who's a Hindu, Glenn Beck, Mormon. Ali Beth Stuckey and Frank Turk are both evangelicals. It's good that non-Christians in this list and on campus will be rubbing up against the true Christians. That's good.
But politics requires wide tense to win. And the Christian faith is a narrow road. One narrow way of salvation, a narrow road of sanctification, By definition it cannot be wide and mainstream.
So TPUSA faith, that entity, needs prayer and discernment. This has turned into a big movement. And when there's a lot at stake. Involving money, influence, positions, opportunities. there's always the temptation to compromise.
Justification by grace alone, through faith alone, and other primary doctrines, need to be guarded. And the problem with a parachurch organization like TPUSA Faith is They don't have the guardrails that a local church has. with qualified elders. TPUSA faith will only be as sound as its leadership is growing and being sanctified as part of sound local churches.
So there needs to be priorities and discernment. This doesn't mean we're not. we're being critical or self-righteous. But we need to test all things. Scripture is our ultimate foundation, and like the Bereans, We need to go to the scriptures daily to understand what God calls us to embrace.
in what to avoid.
Now, as I mentioned earlier, The message that Erica Kirk gave. was just remarkable on several levels. that she was able to craft this message and deliver it just Eleven days after her beloved husband and the father of their two children was shot dead. in a very public way. You have to see the video because the full range of emotion was just written all over her.
from walking up toward the podium while the music was playing. And having to stop before she got there just to try to compose herself. She was mouthing what looked like words of prayer, asking for God's help. And then delivering her message to one hundred thousand people in the stadium and a worldwide audience. through angst and grief.
And yet with a resolve and trust in God. It was true. 28 minutes. and here is about four to five minutes of it. Hello?
God bless all of you. for coming here from all over the world. to honor and celebrate my Charlie. Two years ago at America Fest 2023. Charlie delivered a speech on stage.
for our TPUSA Faith event. And what he chose to speak about that day was his submission. to the will of God. He quoted one of his favorite Bible verses, Isaiah chapter 6, verse 8. Here I am, Lord.
Send me. After Charlie finished, I met him backstage. And I spoke to him and I'll never forget this. I said Charlie baby. Please talk to me next time before you say that statement.
Because when you say something like that There is so much power. in that verse. When you say, here I am, Lord. Use me. God will take you up on that.
And he did. With Charlie. Eleven days ago. God accepted that total surrender from my husband. and then called him to his side.
More than anything, Charlie wanted to do not his will, but God's will. And over these past 11 days, Through all the pain Never before have I found as much comfort. as I now do. and the words of our Lord's Prayer. Thy will be done.
After Charlie's assassination, we didn't see violence. We didn't see rioting. We didn't see revolution. Instead, we saw what my husband always prayed he would see in this country. We saw a revival.
To all the men watching around the world. Accept Charlie's challenge. and embrace true manhood. Be strong and courageous for your families. Love your wives.
and lead them. Love your children and protect them. Be the spiritual head. of your home. But please be a leader worth following.
My husband Charlie. He wanted to save. Young men. Just like the one who took his life. That young man, that young man.
On the cross, our Savior said, Father, forgive them. For they not know what they do. That man That young man, I forgive him. It's hard to even speak after hearing that. only a believer in Christ.
with the Holy Spirit. In dwelling inside can enable A grieving widow to authentically Speak those words about her husband's murderer. Earthly justice will hopefully be done. Eternal justice will be done for sure. But the one who has been sinned against here on earth, in this case Erika, Must forgive as God has.
Immensely more forgiven her. Jesus says in Matthew 6, for if you forgive others, For their transgressions, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, then your father will not forgive your transgressions. Fellow believer, we have been forgiven so much, sinned by God. We must forgive others as well.
And God enables us to do that. Thank you for joining us today on the Christian Worldview Radio Program and for your support of this non-profit radio ministry. Remember what the Apostle Paul said. Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed. Ending this.
