This is Chris Hughes with the Christian Perspective Podcast with Chris Hughes, where we encourage our listeners to engage the culture with Jesus Christ. Your chosen Truth Network Podcast is starting in just a few seconds, so enjoy it, share it, but most of all, thank you for listening to the Truth Podcast Network. This is the Truth Network.
Get ready. It's one of America's most important, influential, and respected voices on cultural and political issues. An apologist, Christian political advocate, and author, here is the founder and chairman of the Citizens for America Foundation, Dr. Chris Hughes.
You listen to this show very often. You know that I believe that one of the primary responsibilities of every Christian is to tell other people about Jesus. We're all called to be missionaries. We're all called to be evangelists, and I know that I step on some toes when I say that, but we need to be telling everybody that we see about the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Well, welcome to Christian Perspective.
I'm Chris Hughes. You know this is a show each and every day where we dig into God's Word in order to develop a biblical worldview, and then I encourage you to take that biblical worldview, in other words, learn what you believe, know what you believe, why you believe it, and then everything that you look at in the world. I want you to see through the lens of the Bible, and then particularly I'm encouraging you to take that biblical worldview into the arena of public policy and of politics, but we can never impact the culture for Jesus if we don't lead the culture to Jesus first. I know that I have a lot of critics out there who criticize me and say, you know, you talk about politics with culture too much.
No, my true heart is to lead people to Jesus Christ, and that's how I really want to change the culture is by getting people on fire for Jesus. Before we get started today, I want to thank our sponsors, the Citizens for America Foundation, for making this show possible. This is the public outreach of the Citizens for America Foundation. You can learn more about that organization at citizensforamericafoundation.com, and they have a great event coming up on April 30th in Memphis, Tennessee. It's called the Culture Engagement Summit. My guest today is going to be one of the speakers at the Culture Engagement Summit.
This is a national event, the only event of its kind in the country, and you want to be sure to go and register today. Tickets are as cheap as $15, and that includes lunch, so it's kind of a win-win, and it doesn't cost much to get there, and you will be blessed by the speakers at that event, and you can learn more again at citizensforamericafoundation.com. And then I want to thank the folks at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. The Christian Perspective Studios are based at the Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, and I want to thank them for letting us be on their campus. If you're looking for a school to attend, or you have a child or grandchild that is about to enter college, I encourage you to take a look at the College of Mid-America, because they will get a biblically-based education and develop a biblical worldview. This is not some liberal Christian school. This is a school that's rooted in the Word of God. Maybe you're at some point in your life where you have the freedom and time, and you'd like to go to seminary. Learn more about what God's Word says. Well, they have great online programs, and you can learn more at the Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. That's Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. Well, my guest today, he came on our podcast at some point last year, before we had the daily radio show, and he is, for those of you who listen to me, you know that I have what I call a personal board of directors.
So I'm going to blow it here, because he now knows he's on it. But I have a group of people who are kind of like mentors to me. They're in my life. They don't know that I consider them to be on my board of directors, but I look at their lives, and how they lead their lives, and how God is using them. And I encourage you, I actually stole this, so don't get in trouble if Andy Andrews is listening today. One of my favorite authors is a guy named Andy Andrews, and he writes a lot about leadership. He's a strong follower.
