Did you ever wonder? Did you ever wonder?

I do. Did you ever wonder? Why the sun always rises, but the stars never fall?

Why dry land is never satisfied by water? And why fire never says enough? Enough. This morning, I was just shocked as I climbed up into the Father's arms. Where are we going today, God?

What are we going to study? And He said, Well, you remember when I asked you to translate the Gospel of John back into Hebrew, and we only got to a couple three verses, and it's time to go further. And so again, I thought, wow, I hadn't been there in almost a month. And I went back and checked my notes, you know, and that's exactly, you know, where that had been. And so I, you know, this particular verse that I had stopped at has always been troubling to me as exactly how this worked. And it's the fourth verse, and it says, In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And so it's fun.

I mean, just spectacular to go back. But, you know, clearly my question to God was—and He didn't give me the answer, by the way, until very late this morning—why did you wait to show me this? Because I wasn't ready, clearly, and there was something else He wanted to teach me that clearly was coming out of 1 Corinthians 13. And it's that whole idea of prego sauce, which we'll get to that in a minute. But right now, we need to go, In Him was the life. And it's really, really beautiful in Hebrew when you say In Him, it's just very simply a bet, which means in or a house, in Him, and that Him is just simply a vav. So it's a bet vav, and just a really cool thing to know that simply Jesus is the vav. It's like, He's in there, okay? And so you begin to see the picture of the whole thing that He wanted to show me.

So you got that bet and vav. And the word was is very, very connected to the word Yahweh. In other words, I am that I am. Was is to be, have been, or whatever the situation may be.

But it's beautiful in Hebrew. It's a hei and a yud and a hei, which has to do with to be, you know, that whole idea. So in Him to be. You could say using the same exact letters, but in Him was the life. And life is a spectacular word, as you know, all too well. You can picture it in my dog that loves to jump straight up in the air.

It's amazing to watch her do that. But in Him was the life, and that's a het and a yud. And the idea of that is this union that creates this explosion of God, right? And you can see that once again, God is in there. And that idea of life, well, we know that Jesus is the life, right? But in Him was this life.

And it's pretty cool to know, once again, it's in there. And in Him was life. That whole thing that obviously was taken away from Adam at the point in time that he sinned, right? And when he sinned, unfortunately, he went into darkness, because darkness is, to an extent, a longing.

Something's being withheld from you. And clearly, it was God's presence that was being withheld. So interestingly, when Jesus came, since He didn't have any sin, right? He had life, right? He was life, because He was still connected to the Father. And because He was still connected to the Father, He had life. And so there's this idea of this to-be life.

It was what Jesus really was. In Him was life. And that life was, again, to be, that whole concept in Hebrew is amazing.

You know, I am, so to speak. In Him was life. And that life was, again, the same idea, the light. And there came in this unbelievable, like, man, the more I have thought about this since I realized it, and I could see completely why Jesus waited for me to get the whole picture of how much love and light are connected.

It's beyond spectacular. So the idea of light, it's a very famous Hebrew word that you would pronounce it, or it's an aleph, which has to do with the Father, okay? And then a yud, which, again, has to do with Jacob's ladder, or a connection from heaven to earth. But simply put, it's Him, okay?

He's in there. He's in the light. So it's an aleph and a vav, and then a reish. And so it's like, we can once again, light would be to consider, like, if—when you, a reish can be to consider, the headwaters of, to use your intellect to some extent. So when you stop and pray, you are reflecting, you're considering, you're at the headwaters of something good. Well, the second you do that, you are now connected to the source of light, which is the aleph.

But what connects you? It is Jesus, because He's in there, okay? And the idea is, I began to think about it as like, wow, the only way we can really get light, true light, is in prayer, right? If we consider, to consider the Father, to go to the Father through Jesus, is to receive life and light.

In other words, you're no longer in the darkness. And so, you know, what does this exactly look like in your life? Like, when all of a sudden you're really troubled by something, like for me, one of my troubling is always, you know, I want my children to be as close to Jesus as possible. And so I consider that a lot, and I need light on the subject, which has to do with my faith, and I go to the Father, I run to the Father. And so, as I was considering how often I do run to the Father, and how much more I need to run to the Father, I couldn't help but think of this song that we play at boot camp. The song is Run to the Father by Cody Carnes, and down before the refrain about two-thirds of the way through the song, he says, running into your arms is running to life from death. Right?

Do you hear that? Running to life from death. In other words, you're going to light from darkness, and death is being separated from God. And so he's running to life from death. And I feel this rush deep in my chest. Your mercy is calling out just as I am. You pull me in, and I know I need you now. I run to the Father. I fall into grace. I'm done with the hiding, right? Now you're in the light.

No reason to wait. My heart needs a surgeon. My soul needs a friend. So I'll run to the Father again and again and again, and I'll close with that. You pull me in, and I know I need you now. I run to the Father. I fall into grace. I'm done with the hiding.

No reason to wait. My heart needs a surgeon. My soul needs a friend. So I'll run to the Father again and again. I run to the Father. I fall into grace. I'm done with the hiding.

No reason to wait. My heart found a surgeon. My soul found a friend. So I'll run to the Father again and again and again, and again, and again, and again, and again. So I'll run to the Father again and again and again and again.
