Hidden Treasures of the 119th Psalm.

I am the God of the right heart. To make you further in the Dalit section today of the 119th Psalm, we are in the third verse of the Dalit section, which is actually verse 27, which I'll just go ahead and read it. It's so much fun.

It's unbelievable. So it says, make me to understand the way of thy precepts. And so shall I talk of thy wondrous works. Oh, this is just a beautiful statement in so many different ways. But again, as we are in the Dalit section again, where we've been clearing up and getting humble and taking this door, which is this very verse starts with the word Derek, which is, you know, again, the way which we know is Jesus. And so I love what he says. You know, it it's Bina was understanding.

And so he's trying to get Bina on the Derek. Well, we know that Jesus is the way. And so it's kind of cool when you think about it, that he's asking for the way the narrow path, right, of thy precepts. And as we've talked about before, these are so important to King David. There's all the word is.

But these are, you know, the Shema. This is the love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and and with all your strength. And so for this, this King David is just all on top of this one. So this is quite a statement where he's looking for the path. He's looking for Jesus in the precepts and oh, that you know how often my heart needs to be doing that very thing. As I study the word, I'm looking for the way I'm looking for Jesus.

I'm looking for the Derek, which starts with a Dalit. Right. Which is saying that that is it takes humility to say, I don't see Jesus here. So show me show me Jesus where where this in this particular precept that I'm studying. And then the fruit of that is amazing. And any teacher knows that the moment you have understanding, you have this huge desire to express that to everybody. It's just like what I'm doing right now as I begin to fathom and then understand where Jesus is in this particular verse.

And what do I want to do? I want to talk about how wondrous these works are. And I think, you know, the Bible is just a book of examples. And when you think about the woman at the well, you know, here is probably the least religious person that you can find in the whole area. And Jesus makes a special trip to go talk to her. But when she understands the way I went, when she understands who it was, she was really talking to. And when she sees the path of the Messiah himself, what does she go do? She goes running out to the town.

And I just want you to think with me for a minute. Why did these people listen to her? Why did they come to faith? This woman had no respect that this woman was an outcast. This woman had made all sorts of bad choices. But now all of a sudden, somehow miraculously, they listen to her and she got their attention.

Why? Well, Jesus had quickened her. You know, when you when you look closely into that story of the woman at the well, you can see where she confessed and where she repented. And you can see where she accepted him as a Messiah. And when she believed, of course, she went out and testified. And when she did, the fruit of that was she was going to talk of his wondrous works. Right. Which is exactly what she did. She said, who is a man who taught me everything I ever was?

This is how it works. That when you get that understanding of the way, then naturally you begin to be a teacher. I see it so many different times in people. And you can just watch as when they get an understanding that they just come to life.

You know, as in the radio person and I get to interview people all the time. You can watch a rate, a sound wave on on a recording. And you can see when that person is nervous and all of a sudden they get the spirit of God and they have an understanding. And they just and it just rolls. And the wave is just a completely different wave when it has the spirit of God with it. And so, you know, it's just an absolutely beautiful verse. And it has so much to do with that. Derek, it has so much to do with the way which starts with humility. That that Dalit that King David's name is. And so, you know, as he's showing him the way of the precepts.

Right. Then we're going to believe me. We're going to talk of his wondrous work. So I hope today and it's actually my prayer that God gives you some really cool understanding and that you'll go talk of his wondrous works. It's just an amazing thing that comes in the way. Thanks for listening.
