Did you ever wonder? Did you ever wonder?
I do. Did you ever wonder? Why the sun always rises, but the stars never fall?
Why dry land is never satisfied by water? And why fire never says enough? Today in Bible Wonders, I wonder if you would wonder with me about the secret that's inside of the names of both Abraham and Sarah. Once again, I'll jump right out with the secret is that in both names, the letter that was added to their names to make Sarah or Abram to Abraham was the letter He. Now, you may know that for the Jews, you will often hear them refer to God as Hashem, because they believe that the He itself is meaning God, which you'll find it obviously in the Yahweh, and you'll hear the ha sound quite often when they're referring to God. The sages of Judaism teach that in both cases, both Sarah and Abraham were returning people to the idea of monotheism.
In other words, that there's only one God, the Akkad, the whole prayer that the Jews pray, you know, Hear O Israel, the Lord God is one. Well, this was something that they very much credit Abraham with. And so by him returning the hay they both got that hay in their names. And thus you get Sarah, my princess becomes, you know, the world's princess, and you get Abram, which was exalted father to Abraham, a father of multitudes, with the hay being added to both names. Something to wonder about today on Bible Wonders. We'll be right back.
